In 2021, Richmond, Virginia, resident Claire Bodtke weighed 280 pounds. She had danced growing up, and was used to having a body that moved easily and quickly. But as the weight crept up over the years, she barely recognized the body she was in. "I couldn't use my body the way I wanted to," she tells Parade. "I had danced my whole life, and when I was at my heaviest...I can't even tell you how hard it is to not be able to do the one thing you love."

She cycled through different methods for weight loss, like Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig, always on the lookout for the next thing. While traveling for work, however, she came across a company called Calocurb. "I'm in the supplement industry—I travel around and sell product at events," she says. "At every event, I was always trying to find the newest, latest, greatest thing in the industry. This New Zealand company showed up with samples, and I went up and talked to one of their people and asked what it was. They said it was a natural appetite suppressant made from hops."

Calocurb is a GLP-1 activator, though it wasn't marketed as such when Bodtke first discovered it. "When you take Calocurb, it raises the levels of GLP-1 already naturally occurring in your body," says Dr. Edward Walker, Ph.D.,one of the scientists who discovered and developed the active ingredient.

Taken in pill form rather than injected, it uses a specific variety of bitter hops grown in New Zealand, and works by activating the GLP-1 your body already produces and raising it slightly throughout the day. This suppresses appetite. "When you inject a GLP-1, it spikes and doesn't go back down for a week, at which point it's time to inject it again," Dr. Walker explains.

Not knowing anything about GLP-1s at the time and loving the promise of a natural appetite suppressant, Bodtke decided to give it a try. "I went home, took the recommended dosage, and for the first time, I actually felt full," she says. "For somebody who could eat through anything—I mean, we're talking giant Jersey Mike's subs—I remember the first time I ate a regular Jersey Mike's sub and stopped. When you're full and satiated and have that feeling, I was like, 'Holy crap, this is working.' It wasn't the 'food noise' statement everyone talks about now. It was a control thing. I didn't have any self-control, and suddenly I did."

Losing the First 20 Pounds

When Bodtke first started taking Calocurb in 2021, she lost 10 pounds in about six months. She was happy to see the number moving on the scale and found that she experienced minimal side effects. "Digestively speaking, there was more...movement," she says, alluding to having more regular bowel movements. "But I didn't have major digestive issues or anything like that, and it was better than being constipated."

The next time she spoke with someone at Calocurb, they told her she could up the dose if she wanted to lose more weight. Because they were still in the early days of formulation, she had to take 10 little capsules at a time to do that—but she lost another 10 pounds. "At 20 pounds down, you feel like the hottest thing in the world," Bodtke says.

Introducing GLP-1s

Then, when GLP-1s first started to be used for weight loss in 2022, Bodtke decided to give them a shot to see if she could drop additional weight. "I got Ozempic directly through a pharmaceutical company—not by prescription, but because I was able to access it that way. I ordered it, started it, and never felt worse in my entire life," she says. "I couldn't breathe. I actually ended up having a vagus nerve issue, which was diagnosed by my cardiologist. I was throwing up all the time, nauseous all the time—it was debilitating. It can be a great way to lose weight, but it was a terrible feeling. I couldn't do it anymore."

So she went back to Calocurb, eating well, and working out—she even became a Zumba instructor during this time. "I also started doing more meditation, breathwork and leaning into functional medicine. Finally, my functional cardiologist said he thought microdosing GLP-1 would be right for me, and I asked if I could take Calocurb at the same time. He said absolutely—that I'd essentially be continuing to activate the GLP-1 receptor, just on a much lower dose. We went from 60 units down to five. No more nausea, no more vomiting, no more terrible side effects."

Bodtke started taking a microdose of GLP-1 at the beginning of 2023, and that was when she saw her biggest weight drop. She lost 80 pounds that year, and combined with the 70 she had lost previously between Calocurb and the higher GLP-1 dose, she lost a total of 150 pounds and finally reached her goal weight.

What Her Life Looks Like Now

Three years after finding the right combination of a low dose of GLP-1 and Calocurb, Bodtke has managed to maintain her weight. "I actually stopped Calocurb a couple of months ago—since I was at my goal weight, I felt like I didn't need it anymore," she tells Parade. "I'm still microdosing the GLP-1, but I'll more than likely go back on Calocurb when I finish microdosing, as my ramp-down. It's more natural, has no side effects, and I've heard a lot of people use it as a transition when getting off GLP-1s to keep the weight off."

Bodtke emphasizes that she finally feels at home in her body. "Literally everything is different," she says. "Before, I couldn't even use my body. Now I feel so much more in control of my body, my choices, everything. When my stress, inflammation and cortisol came down and my sleep improved, everything started clicking together."

Another thing she wants people to know? A downside of getting on a GLP-1 is that muscle mass may account for a portion of weight lost for some people, which can be dangerous, especially for women who are at a higher risk of osteoporosis. "My body composition scans showed that my muscle mass did not shift with the microdosing GLP-1 and Calocurb combination, which I think is really important, especially for women," she explains.

Before the release of the final season of Stranger Things, reports revealed that Millie Bobby Brown had filed a claim against David Harbour on allegations of harassment. While the two actors haven't openly spoken about what occurred, Harbour now admits to tension with his co-star and where they now stand.

Having starred on the Netflix series for 10 years, fans were stunned to learn that Harbour was being accused of bullying and harassment-like behavior by his on-screen daughter. Details of the claim weren't initially revealed, with it reporting on behavioral tension and inappropriate conduct not of a sexual nature. Despite the reports, the two actors appeared in good spirits with each other at the Stranger Things Season 5 red carpet premiere.

Brown once told a reporter that she felt safe with the actor, seeing as they've worked together for so long. In an interview with Variety, Harbour sets the record straight on what really happened with Brown.

The actor said the story was a "weird thing" and "came out in a weird way." He adds that the reported tension was something that occurs in any family-like dynmaic working with someone for a decade.

“It’s a show that went on for 10 years. We worked together for 10 years during her formative teenage years, playing father and daughter. I don’t know if people have families and friends that you spend a lot of time with for 10 years — you occasionally get in arguments, disagreements," he said.

Harbour added that there are disagreements, "then you come back together," and admits the problem with a million-dollar show is that many people get involved.

“It’s simple,” he said. “It was just a simple rupture-and-repair thing that, once we cleared everybody out of the way and talked to each other, we’re fine. Everyone nowadays is very scared of talking about things. People are very scared of being human. It’s unfortunate, because I don’t know how to navigate this weird media world. But it was completely normal, and we adore each other and always have.”

Brown told Variety that her relationship with Harbour became more "collaborative creatively" and has "gratitude" for the years they worked together. Harbour also reveals that he and Brown have plans to continue working together.

“You’ll see more of me and Millie — 10 years wasn’t enough. There is a special bond there. I love her. She loves me," he said.

Harbour currently has a stacked lineup from Violent Night 2, Avengers: Doomsday, John Rambo, and his recent leading role in DTF St. Louis. Meanwhile, Brown's newest installment of Enola Holmes will hit Netflix.

Elizabeth Hurley is ready to ring in a new year.

On Wednesday, the 'Austin Powers' star took to Instagram showing off her fit figure in a yellow bikini and shared an inspiring message as she celebrated her 61st birthday.

"Happy Birthday to me!" she wrote. "I used to fear that as every year passed, my life might get less exciting and I’d get more and more world weary… but I’m pleased to tell you that if you hang on in and keep your chin up, nothing could be further from the truth. I am LOVING my life today."

The actress, and mother, went on to express gratitude to her friends and family who "make my life a whole lot better and whom I love with all of my heart."

And it was the aforementioned fans in the comments who immediately sent their birthday wishes in the post's comments.

"Happy 61st birthday, Elizabeth! You look absolutely fabulous (as always). I'm so glad you've found someone who makes you happy; you two are simply a perfect couple," one commenter wrote, referring to her boyfriend, Billy Ray Cyrus.

"Wishing you the happiest of birthdays Elizabeth," added another. "Cheers to you! May your special day be above and beyond!"

However, a sprinkling of other Instagram users couldn't help but comment on just how great Hurley looked.

"Clearly you have discovered the Fountain of Youth," while another echoed, "Age is just a number."

While Cyrus himself has yet to publicly wish his girlfriend a Happy Birthday, he did talk about her in a People magazine feature out on Wednesday, where he referred their relationship as "something real."

Home Improvement was one of the top TV sitcoms of the '90s, alongside hits like Seinfeld and Friends. Leading star Tim Allenhas been open to a revival, but reveals that plans to get the project going have halted due to issues with the original cast.

The actor starred in the beloved sitcom with Taran Noah Smith, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, and Zachery Ty Bryan, who portrayed his onscreen children. While Allen has gone on to fill slots in his career with Toy Story and his recent sitcom, Last Man Standing, his fellow co-stars are another story.

In an interview with US Weekly, the Home Improvement star admits that there have been talks for a revival, but his on-screen sons have proven to be an issue.

"They keep talking about how it could move forward, but they get stuck [because] there are some personality problems right now with the boys," Allen told Us Weekly. "They’ve got their own issues. I always thought it would be cool if it was a story about them. That’s a little challenging right now, to put it mildly."

Allen has expressed a similar sentiment before about how the revival would take place. It's only natural for the sitcom to continue with the lives of Allen's onscreen children, having said in a 2023 interview that, "Like, if all of them had children, and I'm a grandparent. Home Re-Improvement or something like that. It's come up."

The revival proves tricky as Smith hasn't acted in years since starring in the sitcom, and Thomas's last known credit is in Allen's Last Man Standing. To top it off, Bryans has faced legal issues since 2020 and made headlines in 2025 after being arrested for second-degree domestic violence. In 2026, Bryans pled guilty to a DUI in California and is serving his sentence.

Patricia Richardson, who played Allen's on-screen wife Jill, also shot down the possibility of a revival. She admitted to not having been contacted about a possible project and that she has no desire to return to the sitcom for a few reasons.

"I mean, Zach is now a felon," she said. "Taran hasn’t acted since he left the show; he's not an actor anymore. And Jonathan's not really interested in acting. He wants to direct and write. And we don’t have [Taylor neighbor] Wilson [the late Earl Hindman]."

Earl Hindman played the infamous neighbor Wilson in the sitcom, who died in 2003 at the age of 61 from lung cancer. Home Improvement was one of the biggest roles of many of the cast's careers that aired in 1991 and ran for eight seasons until 1999.

Blue Bunny is making some noticeable and welcome changes to its most fan-favorite products.

The beloved ice cream brand, owned by Wells Enterprises, Inc., announced updated recipes for two of its most popular treats — Blue Bunny Soft and Blue Bunny Mini Swirls.

Going forward, the products will no longer include high fructose corn syrup, with the company opting to use colors and flavors from natural sources. 

Blue Bunny Soft, which debuted in 2023 as a freezer-friendly take on soft serve, is still relatively new. Mini Swirls, on the other hand, have been around for years, offering bite-sized cone treats that are perfect for a quick snack.

“With over 90 years of expertise making frozen treats, Blue Bunny continues to evolve alongside today’s families,” said Andrew Mondzelewski, Brand Marketing Sr. Director at Blue Bunny, in a press release.

He promised that the “reformulations represent the next phase of our portfolio strategy: updating trusted favorites while maintaining the taste, quality, and sense of fun that are a part of our heritage.” 

The reformulation will update the products without messing with what people like most about them—their taste.

Changes will start rolling out in 2026, right around peak ice cream season, with more updates expected into 2027, as the brand continues reworking its lineup, prioritizing a "long-term approach" to making its frozen treats better than ever before.

Blue Bunny isn’t alone in this shift, as many other brands and retailers have made similar promises to rethink ingredients when it comes to artificial colors, flavors, and sweeteners. 

Parade previously reported that discount grocer Aldi announced it would remove an additional 44 artificial preservatives, colors, flavors and sweeteners from its store-brand products, despite already boasting a cleaner Simply Nature line.

Earlier this year, Target announced it was making an “industry-leading move” as one of the first national retailers to carry only cereals made without certified synthetic colors.

Many candy brands are also reformulating their products, including Skittles.

Over five decades after it was filmed, the long-awaited documentary Once Upon a Time in Harlem is finally being released. The project has received an official date it will hit theaters—and it's already getting buzz among fans.

Conceived and filmed by the late William Greaves—acclaimed, Emmy-winning African American filmmaker and documentarian best known for Ali, the Man, Ali the Fighter (1975) and for his preservation of Black culture—and directed and completed by his son, David Greaves, and his daughter, producer Liani Greaves, it depicts the true account of a cocktail party held at Duke Ellington's NYC home in 1972.

At the time, William had gathered every surviving creator of the Harlem Renaissance that he could locate, "many of whom had not seen one another in over 50 years," according to BlexMedia. "For four hours, the group laughed, drank, and debated their place in a rapidly shifting cultural landscape. Greaves filmed all of it on 16mm."

Key figures in the documentary include poet/novelist Arna Bontemps, photographer James Van Der Zee, author Romare Bearden, writer Countee Cullen, musician Eubie Blake, artists Richard Bruce Nugent and Aaron Douglas, and more.

The result is an epic body of work that took three generations to finish, but Greaves' legacy is finally coming full circle. Footage that was initially meant for a separate film about the Harlem Renaissance called From These Roots (completed in 1974), was set aside and never touched.

Despite William going on to become a major figure of American independent cinema, completing over 70 films, he died in 2014, with Once Upon a Time in Harlem incomplete. "His widow, Louise Greaves, continued the work until her own death in 2023, at which point their son David and his daughter Liani picked up the mantle and brought the project home," the outlet reported.

Making its debut at the Sundance Film Festival—where it reportedly received a four-minute standing ovation—on Jan. 25, followed by an international premiere at Cannes on May 18, it was officially acquired by Neon, which beat out Sony Pictures Classics, MUBI, and the Criterion Collection for the distribution rights.

Early reviewer Richard Brody of The New Yorker hailed it "a film for the ages" and "one of the greatest cinematic works of creative nonfiction that I've ever seen."

Meanwhile, people online can't wait to get a front row seat for the release, expressing excitement in the comments section of a trailer shared via Instagram.

"🎥This is going to be EPIC🤩✊🏽💯❤️👑," one said, while another added, "Looking forward to seeing this. I miss the old Harlem."

"W O W...This is gold! Can't wait!!" a third exclaimed, with someone else agreeing, "This is exciting."

More commenters dropped notes like, "Cannot wait!" "HARLEM WORLD FOREVER," and "Harlem at its finest."

The film hits theaters on Friday, Oct. 16, 2026, shortly after William Greaves’ centenary on Oct. 8.

Busch Light is bringing back another fruity beer flavor.

Earlier this summer, the Anheuser-Busch beer brand revived its highly successful Busch Light Apple (also known as "Bapple") and sold some 2.3 million cases in just six weeks. With a 108 percent increase in volume versus last year, per the company, the fruit-flavored lager has again proven itself a top performer.

But, surprisingly, the brewer revealed on Wednesday that Bapple isn't the only flavored lager making a "highly requested" comeback or run for the best seasonal beer for summer 2026: Busch Light Lime is, too. While the variety didn't get a cool nickname when it initially launched like its apple-flavored counterpart, the fresh, citrusy-flavored lager has earned its rightful return for the season.

"After the strong response to Busch Light Lime last summer, we knew fans wanted more, which is why we’re bringing it back for another season," Krystyn Stowe, head of marketing of Busch Family & Natural Family at Anheuser-Busch, explained in a statement.

In case it's new to you, the "bold," zestier flavor debuted in summer 2025, shortly after Busch Light Apple first flew off shelves. In the 25 states where it was available, Anheuser-Busch said its Busch Light Lime lager sold 288,000 cases in its first month.

The returning beer is officially described as a "crisp, refreshing lime-flavored lager with a touch of sweet on the front end and a clean beer finish on the back" and a "distinct tart and zesty profile." It's 4.1 percent alcohol by volume (ABV).

When it first launched, consumers were eager to compare it to Bud Light Lime, and many suggested the competition between the two is fierce.

One reviewer called it "really clean and refreshing."

"I'm enjoying it," another added.

"Glad to have found out this is seasonal," a third shared, noting it's so good they've "saved nine of them in my mini fridge for mid-winter" when the craving hits.

Bill Townsend (Chris Klein) has been a divisive figure since he was introduced in Sweet Magnolias Season 1. After all, Bill was the reason for most of Maddie's pain and heartbreak in that first season, as the show began with Bill and Maddie divorcing as a result of his infidelity and relationship with Noreen.

Even more painful for Maddie was the fact that Noreen was pregnant with Bill's baby, and it seemed as though the two were going to settle down and build a brand-new family (while still incorporating Bill and Maddie's three children, Ty, Kyle and Katie).

However, Bill clearly wasn't a changed man in his new relationship, and he and Noreen had already broken up by the end of Season 1. None of that made it any easier when in Season 4, Episode 2, Bill's mother, Bonnie, showed up and confirmed Bill's off-screen death, caused by a heart attack.

Although most characters had a complicated relationship with Bill—including his own children—this death still sent shockwaves throughout the town. Season 4 saw the main characters working through their grief, but the loss of Bill will undoubtedly continue to have an impact on the show moving forward.

Cal and Maddie have been a beloved couple on Sweet Magnolias from the moment it was clear that romance was blooming between the two, and the times when their relationship was rocky and it seemed like they really might not work out were devastating. However, fans can now rest easy knowing that the couple is in it for the long haul.

In a shocking twist, Maddie and Cal get married right at the beginning of Season 4, in an intimate ceremony with friends and family. The friendships in Serenity have always been a core part of Sweet Magnolias, but Season 4 revealed that many of these relationships are not going to be the same in Season 5. In fact, multiple characters will no longer be in Serenity, based on the Season 4 finale.

Among the biggest departures is that of Maddie, Cal, Kyle and Katie. After Maddie gets an incredible job offer that would mean a move to New York for the entire family, Maddie and Cal decide to take the leap. Obviously, this means a massive change to her decades-long friendship with Helen and Dana Sue, as well as a huge transition for the entire family.

And, if you noticed that Ty's name wasn't included in the New York move, that omission was intentional. Ty, now a young adult, is also striking out on his own. Specifically, he and his band have gotten an offer to tour in Europe, meaning he will be very far away from Serenity in this new season. In fact, it's already been confirmed that Ty won't be in Season 5 at all.

What does that mean for Annie and Ty's budding romance? Well, it's not looking good based on his exit from the series, but there was already trouble in paradise. In the Season 4 finale, Ty asks Annie to defer her enrollment in college so that she can join him on tour. Annie isn't happy with that request at all, especially because she's been accepted into her dream school in California.

Annie tells Ty that she won't put her dreams on hold to pursue his, and then she walks away. While the show doesn't confirm that they broke up on screen, that certainly seemed like where this tense conversation would ultimately land.

Clearly, there are many plot lines left to be explored in Sweet Magnolias Season 5, and thankfully, the wait is over, as the new episodes drop on June 11.

There's nothing quite like a high-profile breakup to inspire a hit song. In 1985, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers released a classic rock track that grew out of an unforgettable encounter involvingStevie Nicksof Fleetwood Mac.

"Don't Come Around Here No More" wasn't originally meant for Petty and his band to release. The track landed at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No.2 on Billboard's Album Rock Tracks. While it became a hit among fans for being a breakup anthem, it was originally meant for Nicks.

David A. Stewart of the Eurythmics developed the track after a chance encounter with Nicks during one of the biggest breakups in rock history. He revealed on the Howard Stern Show that the title was uttered by the music icon after she had broken up with Eagles singer and guitaristJoe Walsh. Nicks and Walsh were a notorious, highly publicized relationship at the time. The Fleetwood Mac singer called the guitarist one of the great loves of her life and dated him for two years.

Stewart recalls having been invited to Nicks' house after an Eurythmics show and later finding the singer in a room at 5 a.m. What left him stunned was seeing Nicks try on Victorian clothing like a scene out ofAlice in Wonderland. He soon developed "Don't Come Around Here No More" based on the encounter and the breakup.

The track was actually intended for Nicks' Rock a Little album, but Jimmy lovine felt her lyrics didn't fit the sound they were trying to create. When Nicks left the recording studio, lovine called in Petty to record it instead. According to American Songwriter, Nicks actually rejected the track after hearing Petty's vocals.

“Dave Stewart actually wrote that for me and sent to me the track with one line ‘Don’t Come Around Here No More,” said Nicks. “We all went in the studio with me and David and Tom Petty and the next day I came in and Tom had done a vocal on it. And because I was extremely selfish and spoiled rotten, I got very angry and fired everybody and stormed out. I told Tom to keep the song, and I lost the song. I gave the song up.”

The track appears to have more backstory behind its inspiration when Stewart revealed in his 2016 memoir, Sweet Dreams Are Made of This, that he and Nicks slept together during the original after-party encounter at her home. He called it "romantic in a rock ‘n’ roll kind of way."

"Don't Come Around Here No More" is tagged as one of Petty's best songs of his career. The music video became an MTV-era staple that tied into Stewart's original Alice in Wonderland inspiration.

According to a popular Instagram post from blogger @snackolator, McDonald's will bring back its original fried apple pie beginning June 22 for a limited time in celebration of America's 250th anniversary.

The McDonald's fried apple pie first debuted in 1968 alongside the Big Mac and remained on menus for 24 years. In September 1992, McDonald's replaced it with the baked apple pie as part of a shift toward lighter menu offerings.

For many fans, however, the baked version never quite measured up to the original. Since disappearing from most U.S. restaurants, it has become one of the most requested McDonald's throwbacks.

On social media, fans are freaking out about the return. One commenter said, "This is the America I know and love," and another noted, "nothing says America like a fried pie!"

The Return Fits McDonald's Growing Nostalgia Trend

The comeback arrives as McDonald's continues to embrace nostalgia and limited-time offerings that encourage customers to revisit old favorites.

The original fried apple pie was deeply tied to American culture from the beginning. Inspired by Southern-style handheld pies, McDonald's famously promoted the dessert as being "as American as the Fourth of July," making its return especially fitting as the country prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary.

Many fans say they've turned to other food chains, like Checkers and Whataburger, over the years when craving a fried pie. Now, they're already planning trips back to McDonald's specifically for this limited-time offering.

Travis Kelceand Jason Kelce are looking back at the '90s, and their answers say a lot.

In a new New Heights clip shared on Instagram, the brothers were asked what one thing from the '90s they would bring back "to stay forever."

The question led to a quick nostalgia round that included video games, Blockbuster and one very simple part of childhood that they seemed especially ready to revive.

"Blockbuster was fun," Travis said, though he also admitted it would not feel the same if it came back now.

Blockbuster was not just about renting a movie. It was the experience of leaving the house, wandering the aisles and arguing over what everyone was actually going to watch.

For a lot of '90s kids, the ritual was half the fun.

The Brothers Agreed on Pickup Baseball

The answer that seemed to land best was not a product or a store. It was pickup baseball.

"Sandlot pickup baseball," Jason said.

Travis immediately backed that idea.

"The pickup s---, I think that's the best," he said. "Going to the park with the guys was the best."

Jason then summed up the larger point: "Having to leave your house to hang out with people. I would bring that back from the '90s," with Travis adding, "I'm bringing that back, 100%."

The "Right" Way to Retire, According to Experts

If you want the way you retire to set the tone for all the years that will follow your last day of work, Dr. Eleni Nicolaou, a clinical psychologist and creative wellness expert at Davincified, says you should do it in phases.

"The right way to retire is gradually, meaning reducing your working hours and responsibilities over months rather than stopping on a single final day," she says, adding that this way is actually less common. "When someone abruptly retires, the nervous system is thrown into a complete loss of structure, identity, and social connection, all at once and with no time to adjust to any of it. And the body sees the abrupt retirement as a threat and not a reward."

Erin Clifford, Licensed Professional Counselor, Corporate Wellness Coach, and author, agrees. "Most people tend to do better when they've given themselves—and their employer—some advance notice," Clifford says. "Having time to think through the transition, put plans in place, and begin envisioning what life will look like after work allows people to adjust emotionally and psychologically before retirement actually arrives."

Here's What's Actually Happening in Your Brain

As for the rationale behind this method, Dr. Nicolaou cites a 2019 study published in the journal Innovationin Aging titled "Phased Retirement in Older American Workers." According to her, the study found that of the 5,106 surveyed, those who said they retired immediately reported more depressive symptoms than those who phased out of work instead.

"The reason for this is that the brain thrives on predictability, and when your job, daily routine, and job relationships all go away at once, your cortisol levels rise and your dopamine levels drop because your brain has lost all of the reward signals it was looking for in your daily life and job," she explains.

Already Retired? Here's How to Course Correct

Already retired the "bad" way? Don't worry, Dr. Nicolaou says you can help course-correct by reintroducing structure into your life as soon as you can, which she said has become apparent in the work her own company does. "That’s because your nervous system does not [care] where your rhythm comes from as long as there is a consistent signal that your day has meaning."

Some of those structured activities can include:

• Paint-by-numbers kits
• Journaling with a daily prompt
• Learning an instrument
• Weekly classes

"What they all share in common is that they have a beginning, a middle and an end, and that's what the brain needs in a day when work stops overnight," she adds.

Clifford shares that she's worked with clients who spent decades building successful careers and then suddenly stopped working. "If you go from getting up every morning with structure, responsibilities, and a routine to having nothing planned, you're not likely to thrive," she explains. "That's why it's so important to think ahead about what you want your life to look like when you transition away from work."

Few country music careers are as legendary as that of George Jones. But the story behind his first No. 1 hit is almost as famous as the song itself.

Released in 1959, "White Lightnin'" became Jones' first chart-topping country single and helped launch him from rising talent to national star.

The energetic song, written by The Big Bopper, told the story of a moonshiner producing potent homemade whiskey and perfectly matched Jones' spirited vocal style.

Getting the song recorded, however, proved far more difficult than anyone expected.

In his autobiography, Jones recalled arriving at the recording session after drinking heavily.

According to accounts from those involved, the singer struggled repeatedly during the session, forcing the band to perform the song over and over again. Estimates put the total at more than 80 takes before the session was finally halted.

The repeated attempts took a toll on the musicians.

Bass player Buddy Killen reportedly developed painful blisters on his fingers after playing the song dozens of times and became increasingly frustrated as the takes piled up.

Then came the most surprising twist of all.

After enduring the marathon session, producer Pappy Daily ultimately decided that the best version wasn't one of the later takes. Instead, he chose to release the very first take recorded that day—even though Jones had slightly stumbled over a lyric.

The imperfection remained on the final record, and Jones later intentionally recreated the mistake during live performances because fans had come to expect it.

"White Lightnin'" climbed to No. 1 on the country charts, giving Jones the first chart-topper of his career and setting the stage for decades of success.

More than 65 years after its release, "White Lightnin'" continues to find new audiences. In May 2026, the song returned to the spotlight when music historians revisited its remarkable chart run.

It became Jones' first No. 1 country hit but also his first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100.

One of rock's most acclaimed drummers is headed on tour.

Roger Taylor, legendary drummer and founding member of Queen, just announced a brand-new album and accompanying tour, marking his first time touring solo in the UK in years.

The exciting announcement was posted to Instagram on Wednesday, June 10, where Taylor unveiled the title of his upcoming new album: Violence Insane In A Beautiful World. The record is slated to drop on Friday, Sept. 18, with Taylor's tour starting up just days later.

Advertised as Taylor's "only UK dates in 2026," the tour is expected to make stops in Newcastle, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, London and Swansea. It's the musician's first time touring solo since October 2021, following the release of his sixth solo album, Outsider, that same month.

“Dress with Respect”

This is not the first time airplane attire has made headlines. Late last year, the Department of Transportation rolled out a campaign titled “The Golden Age of Travel Starts With You.” The campaign outlined ways to foster more civility in travel. One of the points urged Americans to “dress with respect”. At the time, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said, “Dress up to go to the airport, help a stranger out, and be in a good mood."

Chewy is launching its first-ever Cuddle Shuttle — "a mobile experience designed to help fans decompress with comfort animal cuddle sessions" — in Miami from June 25 to 28. Win or lose, soccer fans and pet lovers are invited aboard for cuddle sessions with comfort animals.

Miami was selected as one of the host cities for the 2026 World Cup. With competition set to kick off on Thursday, June 11, fans from all over the world have converged on the South Florida beach city.

Seven matches will take place at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium (temporarily renamed Miami Stadium) beginning with Saudi Arabia vs. Uruguay on June 15.

In addition to the Cuddle Shuttle, Chewy and the FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami Host Committee are working together to revitalize dog parks at Maurice A. Ferré Park and Bayfront Park, which will relaunch as Chewy Bark Park Bayfront and serve as the hub of Chewy’s pet-friendly activities during the tournament.

Alex Cooper is sharing more than a pregnancy announcement.

The Call Her Daddy host opened up in the June 10 episode of her podcast, titled "My Pregnancy Story," about the emotional and physical side of expecting her first baby with husband Matt Kaplan. Cooper announced in May that the couple is expecting, but her latest episode went deeper into what the past few months have actually felt like.

In a preview clip, Cooper made it clear that she plans to talk about the parts of pregnancy that are not always polished.

Then she got especially candid about anxiety.

"I have not struggled with anxiety throughout my life," Cooper said. "That definitely changed since pregnancy."

She Said Her Bump Was Getting Hard to Hide

Cooper also explained that the pregnancy became harder to keep private as her body changed.

"My bump was becoming too hard to hide," she said.

In the clip, Cooper mentioned public speculation that came from a recent carpet appearance with Kaplan. She said the rumors were not about what people may have thought.

"The only rumors that actually came from the carpet is just how miserable my husband and I left," Cooper said.

Cooper said that once she finally shared the news of her pregnancy publicly, the reaction brought her relief.

"When I pressed post, I felt so much relief," she said.

Cooper's pregnancy comes after she previously shared that she and Kaplan had paused their plans to start a family.

On the June 10 podcast episode, Cooper said she and Kaplan made the mutual decision in summer 2024 to wait because she wanted to prioritize their relationship, her work and herself. People reported that Cooper said she later felt emotionally ready after the couple had spent more time building a strong foundation.

Cooper also spoke about choosing motherhood in her 30s, while making clear that she does not regret how she lived before this chapter.

"Choosing motherhood in my 30s doesn't erase the right to have enjoyed my 20s," she said in the clip.

And even though on rare occasions a discontinued item has been known to make a comeback, the reality is that when an item disappears for anything other than seasonal availability, chances are it’s gone for good. Kicking things off with a true fan favorite that fits the mold of both an easy weeknight dinner and a hearty impromptu snack, the Trader Joe’s frozen gyoza potstickers have a solid reputation for being a satisfying freezer pick. And when it comes to the beloved Thai Shrimp Gyoza, this flavor-packed option earned high marks from fans for its simple ingredient list and ability to be pan-fried, steamed or microwaved with ease.

Made with shrimp, white cabbage, chives, green onion, ginger, garlic and vegetable powders all wrapped in a thin dumpling-like dough, they’ve been discontinued since about late 2022, leaving a giant hole in the hearts of fans everywhere.

2. Arugula Pizza

No stranger to a good frozen pizza indulgence, Trader Joe’s always has a variety of styles to choose from. The true connoisseurs, however, still have a special place in their hearts for the once-beloved Arugula Pizza. Bringing a subtle peppery bite to a classic wood-fired pie, it featured cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, manchego, provolone and pecorino cheeses all atop a tasty crust that looked not unlike a traditional Neapolitan-style pizza.

Although it wasn’t topped with fresh arugula, that didn’t stop fans from adding their own fresh handful on top, with some even recreating the recipe both before and after its eventual discontinuation. In 2022, it was officially pulled from shelves entirely, though not without plenty of fans online mourning its disappearance.

3. Chile Lime Chicken Burgers

One of the more commonly requested discontinued items to make a comeback, the Trader Joe’s Chili Lime Chicken Burgers were once a big hit for fans of easy weeknight meals. Serving as a health-conscious base for burger night with the family, they were sold as frozen patties meant to be cooked on the grill or in a skillet, and they were reasonably priced for what you got.

And while Trader Joe’s does offer a mix of meat and non-meat options, the once-beloved Chickenless Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry leaned on a plant-based recipe that combined carrots, peas, green beans and corn tossed in a savory stir-fry-style sauce. 

The cauliflower rice and plant-based chickenless pieces added texture and a bit of protein to the mix, while the dish’s vegan-friendly design made it an instant favorite for those looking for something easy straight from the bag. Unfortunately, it was discontinued sometime after 2023, with fans everywhere pleading for its return.

7. Vegan Meatless Meat Eater's Pizza View this post on Instagram

Fairly new to the TJ’s frozen pizza lineup, the Vegan Meatless Meat Eater’s Pizza wasted no time gathering a loyal fan following. It featured a regular wheat crust (not gluten-free), with a tomato sauce base, vegan cheese, vegan pepperoni and vegan Italian sausage all piled on top. Designed to look not unlike a traditional sausage and pepperoni pie, it had slightly different textures than you’d expect due to its vegan ingredients, though it still crisped up nicely in the oven. 

That said, this fan-favorite freezer find boasted plenty of delicious flavors, securing its short run on shelves as one that still made an impression among shoppers. Discontinued sometime in 2023, it remains a commonly requested return that managed to leave a lasting impression on shoppers.

8. Cioppino Seafood Stew

Easily one of Trader Joe’s most beloved freezer finds, the Cioppino Seafood Stew stood out with its mix of seafood simmered in a savory, tomato-based broth. Discontinued around 2023, it offered a delicious alternative to making the classic Italian-American dish from scratch, boasting a rich blend of deboned cod, shelled shrimp, scallops, mussels and clams, along with vegetables and aromatic seasonings like garlic and herbs.

Extremely popular among seafood fans, a quick search online turns up a long list of fan-created videos making the stew at home, as well as recreations of the recipe after it eventually disappeared from the freezer aisle.

9. Meatless Meatballs

Beloved by many and missed by most, Trader Joe’s Meatless Meatballs were a reliable freezer staple for many years. Designed to be a plant-based take on classic Italian-style meatballs, they came seasoned with garlic, onion and various spices, and they were bound together with breadcrumbs to create a firm, meat-like texture.

Affordable and designed to be fully cooked from frozen, each bag served as a protein-packed, vegan-friendly option meant to elevate easy dinners, needing nothing more than pasta, sauce and simple sides.
