Ryan Paevey Returns to Holiday Movies With ‘Christmas at Moose Lake’ After Year-Long Break (Exclusive)

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 4:44pm

Fans of Ryan Paevey are happy to see him back on the small screen. The actor took over a year off from acting for a mental recharge, spending the well-deserved time off assisting his mother during an illness, pursuing his jewelry-making passion, surfing, and just enjoying life off camera. He recently returned to acting back in September of 2025, reprising his role as Nathan West on General Hospital. Now, he's returning to the holiday film genre his fans love, but this time for Great American Family. Paevey joins the network in their latest Great American Christmas film, Christmas at Moose Lake.

Set against the charm of small-town holiday traditions, Christmas at Moose Lake delivers a story of grace, healing, and the enduring spirit of Christmas – where home is not just where we have been, but where we choose to go next. Paevey stars opposite Britt Robertson (The Merry Gentlemen, The Rookie: FEDS), Kevin Dillon (Entourage, Platoon), and Natasha Henstridge (Species, Eli Stone).

“Welcoming Ryan Paevey to Great American Christmas is especially exciting – Ryan and I have a long-shared history of making audience-favorite films, and I know first-hand the warmth and authenticity he brings to each role. It is truly thrilling to bring this stellar cast to Great American Christmas,” said Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Great American Media. Read on for more about Christmas at Moose Lake.

1994 Hit Track Ranked Among 'Best Rock Songs of All Time' Became a Timeless Love Anthem

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 4:36pm

When faced with undying love, there's sometimes nothing better than belting out a heartfelt ballad. British rock band The Pretenders released a successful ballad that deviated from their usual style and became a timeless anthem that ranked as one of the best rock songs of all time.

In 1994, frontwoman Chrissie Hynde was known for her powerful voice with hits like "Talk of the Town," "Back on the Chain Gang," and many more that cemented the band in the rock genre. No one expected her and The Pretenders to release a moving ballad that captured the emotions of unshakable love.

"I'll Stand by You" was part of their sixth studio album Last of the Independance that released on April 11th of that year. The track was written by Hynde with the songwriting team of Tom Kelly and Bill Steinberg, with Ian Stanley serving as its producer. It soon ranked at No. 12 on Billboard's Best Rock Love Songs of All Time, calling it a "genuinely beautiful, heart-rending ballad that wasn’t what the world expected from rocker Chrissie Hynde in 1994."

"Hynde’s haunting voice sounds lived in and a little sad as she pledges timeless devotion to someone who could be a lover (and yes, this song makes for a great old-school slow dance) — but could just as easily be a friend or family member, for whom love survives against all odds," they added.

Related: 1964 Chart-Topping Hit Won a Grammy for ‘Song of the Year’ 61 Years Ago

While the track has become a timeless anthem about love, it didn't top the charts, reaching No. 16 on Billboard Hot 100. It also landed at No. 21 on the Modern Rock Track chart. Many praised Hynde's vocals, calling them a "powerful, moving presence." Others also applauded her ability to go from hard-edged rocker to giving them "a gorgeous ballad" that tugged at the heartstrings.

"I'll Stand by You" also gained popularity years later when it was covered by hit artists like Carrie Underwood, the British girl group Girls Aloud, and Shakira. Girls Aloud covered the track as the official charity single for the 2004 Children in Need fundraising campaign. Underwood followed with the same idea in 2007 as a charity single for Idol Gives Back and entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 6.

In 2010, Shakira covered the track as a promotional charity single for the Hope for Haiti Now campaign. The popular series Glee also covered the track and entered the charts.

Controversial Rock the Country Music Festival Slashes Ticket Prices in Half

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 4:35pm

Rock the Country Music Festival shocked fans on Wednesday, Apr. 15, when they unexpectedly slashed their ticket prices in half.

"Fuel costs are up and we want to help! ⛽️ In response to rising transportation costs, you can enjoy up to 50% off general admission passes to any of 7 small town stops for a limited time only," the festival wrote via Instagram. "Use code FUEL for $59 single-day and $99 weekend GA tickets at rockthecountry.com while supplies last. Take advantage of this offer, fill up your tank and we’ll see you this summer! Promotion ends April 23rd at midnight ET."

In the same post, Rock the Country also announced that Staind would be replacing Jelly Roll for the Sioux Falls, South Dakota stop on June 28 due to scheduling conflicts.

In the comment section, fans expressed their disappointment that the discount was offered after many of them had already purchased tickets.

"where’s the discount for people who bought the day sales opened ??" wrote one fan. "We basically get punished for buying tickets right away?" commented another.

"so can i get a partial refund on the tickets i already bought, not very fair to discount the tickets after people bought them for full price," added a third.

RELATED: Three Performers Drop Out of Rock the Country Music Festival as Controversy Grows

This is far from the first controversy to hit the music festival—Rock the Country has seen four performers drop out since the lineup was announced in January.

The departures came shortly after the festival was dubbed a “MAGA fest” by critics online, as headliners like Kid Rock and Jason Aldean are vocal supporters of PresidentDonald Trump.

Rock the Country even had to call off their stop in Anderson, South Carolina after nearly all of the headlining artists pulled out.

In a statement to Parade on Feb. 9, Rock the Country said the festival “was created to unite people together through music. Our lineups and our crowds reflect that sentiment—a wide range of voices, backgrounds, and stories that make up this country.”

“Our focus remains where it’s always been: Supporting our artists, honoring our fans, and delivering unforgettable nights throughout the country,” the statement continued. “The shows ahead represent the heart of what Rock the Country stands for: music, community, and pride in where we come from. Loving America isn’t political; it’s who we are.”

Harrison Ford Says He Unintentionally Hummed the 'Indiana Jones' Theme While Filming 'Shrinking'

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 4:35pm

Harrison Fordrevealed that a Shrinking easter egg was entirely unintentional.

During an Apple FYC event on Sunday, April 12, Ford shared that the season 3 moment where his character is humming the Indiana Jones theme song was unplanned.

“I didn’t know that what I was … well, the melody that I was mouthing was ["The Raiders March"] from Indiana Jones," he said.

This revelation came when the cast discussed Ford's lengthy career and nods to his past that made it into the latest season of the comedy series. Ford said that he was just as surprised as viewers when watching the episodes back.

Being in them is different than watching them,” Ford said. “And it’s often surprising to me when I watch it.”

Ford's Shrinking co-star Jason Segal asked the actor is he thought he "made that up" when he was humming the song.

“No,” Ford responded. “I just thought it was some kind of familiar thing."

Ford then shared how the iconic theme song composed by John Williams has become a part of his everyday life.

“As I told John Williams in a speech at a tribute to him, they were playing that f***ing song when I went into the operating room for the colonoscopy,” he quipped.

Ford portrays Dr. Paul Rhoades in Shrinking, a senior therapist navigating Parkinson's disease. Shrinking's co-creator, Bill Lawrence, praised Ford at the FYC event for his portrayal of Parkinson's.

"It is a burden to play a real condition as an actor. I can’t do justice to how seriously Harrison takes that responsibility," Lawrence said.

All episodes of Shrinking all available to stream on Apple TV.

‘Temptation Island’ Reunion: Season 2 Cast Reveal They’re Filming

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 4:29pm

There was a lot of drama in Temptation Island Season 2. The final bonfires involved each couple alone sharing their final thoughts on their journey. They decided whether they would leave together, single, or with one of the new tempting singles.

It feels like there could be more closure with the whole cast reunited and sharing their thoughts. The cast finally showed they are filming one.

Summit Says the ‘Temptation Island’ Season 2 Reunion Is Loading View this post on Instagram

"Temptation Island Reunion loading...?" was written in a video Summit Wallace posted of himself in swim trunks. He then welcomed the other male stars one by one into frame. The video was posted on April 14.

The four female stars posed together for a video in their Instagram Stories and tagged the location in Hollywood on April 14. Everyone who was in a couple, except for Sydney McGregor and Mikey Bivens, stood together in another Instagram video. "Can you guess who is together now?" was written over their heads.

Nick Viall and Natalie Joy posted an Instagram video saying they will be at Netflix Is A Joke with the cast of Temptation Island on May 4 at 9:45 p.m. PT. The first season didn't have a reunion on Netflix.

Instead, The Viall Files hosted the reunion. The podcast recently did the same for season 1 of Age of Attraction. The episode was close to three hours long. This could mean season 2's reunion will be a deep dive into what happened on the island.

It's unclear if any of the tempters or temptresses will be at the reunion. A fan asked Xzavier Odom through his Instagram story if there will be a reunion episode. He posted a picture of himself in a horse stable and answered "Stay tuned" on April 14.

‘The Price Is Right’ Reveals a First in 54-Year Game Show History

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 4:26pm

If you love The Price Is Right, come on down! The longest-running game show on television is marking a major shift in its 2026-2027 season, as for the first time ever, it will air an episode in real time.

The popular game show, which was originally helmed by host Bob Barker from 1972 until 2007, and has been hosted by Drew Carey ever since, will air a live episode in prime time in December to coincide with the holiday season.

“Viewers gain unprecedented behind-the-scenes access alongside host Drew Carey, announcer George Gray, the models and the production team as they race to keep the show on track-resetting games, transforming the stage and beating the clock,” Paramount said in a statement, sharing that contestants will “play fan-favorite games Plinko, Cliffhangers and Lucky Seven, before spinning The Big Wheel for a shot at a luxury showcase – all played out live.”

An official air date for the historic Christmas special for the number one show in CBS’ daytime lineup has yet to be announced.

Though Paramount is seemingly leaning into its popular CBS game show, The Price Is Right was recently embroiled in controversy after a docuseries came out that alleged a hostile work environment, racism, and harassment behind the scenes in the show's earlier days.

Several former staffers and models appeared on the E! Series Dirty Rotten Scandals, where they talked about their own experiences working on the show during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, describing incidents that included alleged groping, inappropriate gawking, and feeling like they had to take harassment issues into their own hands during their tenures.

Costco's New $18 Suede Sandals Look Just Like a Designer Style Nearly 8x the Price

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 4:25pm

This new Costco find looks way more expensive than it is, and I cannot wait to snag a pair. They're perfect for a casual-chic look and ideal for vacations, errands or lounging around the house.

Costco is known for offering budget-friendly $18 suede sandals that look very similar to Birkenstocks, which usually cost a whopping $140. The price difference alone is enough to make shoppers do a double-take.

Why Suede Sandals Are So Popular View this post on Instagram

Suede flat sandals, like these Costco styles shown by @costco_empties, are a favorite for a reason. First, suede is soft and flexible. Unlike some stiff leather sandals, suede feels gentle against your skin. That makes these sandals a smart pick for all-day wear.

Another reason people love suede is the elevated look. The soft texture adds a rich feel to simple outfits. You can throw them on with jeans, a skirt or a breezy dress and instantly look more put together. This Costco find proves that you do not have to spend a fortune to get that stylish finish.

Suede sandals are also great transitional shoes. They work in the heat of summer but can easily carry into early fall. Pair them with shorts now and cozy knitwear later. These sandals come in two neutral shades—black and brown.

Why This Costco Find Is Getting Attention

This Birkenstock dupe from Costco checks a lot of boxes. The flat design is easy and casual. The buckle details add a chic touch without being over the top. They're exactly the kind of sandals you can slip on and go.

They would be perfect for spring and summer vacations. Imagine packing one pair of sandals that works with everything from poolside outfits to dinner by the beach. That is the beauty of a simple suede style.

Of course, there is one thing to remember. Suede is not waterproof. It can absorb water easily, which may cause stains or damage. If you pick up this Costco find, it is best to avoid wearing them in the rain or in other wet conditions. You can use a protective spray to help make them more water-resistant, but they are still better suited for dry days.

At just $18, this Birkenstock dupe feels like a total steal. Costco has done it again with a stylish sandal that looks designer-inspired without the designer price tag.

Alexander Dumas’s Didn’t Write His 1846 Masterpiece Alone — And He Went to Court Over It

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 4:23pm

You know of Alexander Dumas’s work. The Three Musketeers and The Man in the Iron Mask are both two that will stand out, and right now, there is a third thanks to a PBS adaptation. The Count of Monte Cristo is considered one of the best revenge stories ever told, and there’s no doubt that the PBS adaptation has brought to life exactly why that is.

Originally a serialized story in the Journal des Débats between 1844 and 1846, The Count of Monte Cristo was published fully as a novel after the last segment in 1846. At the time, only Dumas was credited as the writer, but he had help, and that help would eventually take him to court.

Alexander Dumas Teamed Up with Auguste Maquet on Multiple Stories

The Count of Monte Cristo was just one of the many novels Dumas turned to writer Auguste Maquet to help develop. Maquet would handle the initial plot lines and the in-depth historical research to ensure the best story was told. It was from there that Dumas would develop the characters and dialogue.

Maquet was never credited for any of the work done, even in the original publications of the work. Eventually, he decided it was time to take Dumas to court, and it turned out that 18 novels in total included his involvement, including the popular The Three Musketeers. While Maquet is still not named as an official co-author, he did win royalties and now he is mentioned as a “collaborator.”

The Prison Is Just One True Part of ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’

There are a few elements of The Count of Monte Cristo that needed research, and one of those was the Château d'If, which was a real state prison in 1580. It was a prison mostly for high-profile political foes and religious dissidents, so it would make sense that someone like Edmund would end up there.

The part that doesn’t fit history is the escape. There were no recorded escapes. Of course, that doesn’t mean there weren’t escapes. Why would a prison like that want a record of any sort of failure? There weren’t as many checks and balances in the past, but it is just a small sign of the research Maquet did to make Dumas’s novels feel like they could be real.

The Count of Monte Cristo adaptation currently airs on Sundays at 10/9c on PBS and streams on PBS Masterpiece on Prime Video and PBS Passport.

1996 Hit Film Ranked Among ‘Best Movies of All Time’

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 4:18pm

In 1996, a horror film arrived in theaters that would completely change the rules of the genre.

Scream, directed by Wes Craven, has since been ranked among the best movies of all time by Collider, thanks to its innovative storytelling and lasting cultural impact.

Set in the fictional town of Woodsboro, the film follows a group of teenagers targeted by a masked killer known as Ghostface. Blending slasher thrills with self-aware humor, Scream cleverly plays with, and often subverts, the classic tropes of horror films, creating something that felt entirely fresh at the time.

One of the film's most shocking moments comes right at the beginning. Drew Barrymore, who was the biggest star attached to the project at the time, appears prominently in the opening scene. Audiences expected her to be the film's lead, making it all the more surprising when her character is brutally killed just minutes into the movie. The twist, one of Barrymore's own invention, immediately signaled that Scream was willing to break expectations.

"In the horror film genre, my biggest pet peeve was that I always knew the main character was going to be slugging through at the end, but was going to creak by and make it," Barrymore said in a 2020 interview. "What I wanted to do is to take that comfort zone away. I asked if I could be Casey Becker so we would establish this rule does not apply in this film."

The film also features standout performances from Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, helping to ground the film's mix of suspense and satire.

Scream was both a critical and commercial success, revitalizing the slasher genre at a time when it had begun to fade. Its sharp script, memorable characters and unexpected twists influenced a wave of horror films that followed.

"Scream is a great example of something that is very innovative and has drawn top talent, inspired by great scripts written by Kevin (Williamson)," Craven told Interview Magazine. "It has allowed me to do some of my best work and most popular work. Kevin is a great writer, and I love doing his material. I also like doing films that I write myself."

Nearly 30 years later, the film remains a defining entry in horror history and has led to several sequels, with Scream 7 released earlier this year.

With its inclusion in Collider's ranking, Scream stands as a testament to the power of reinvention and a reminder that sometimes the most iconic moments come when audiences least expect them.

You'd Never Guess This Stylish Costco Desk Has a Unique Space-Saving Feature

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 4:05pm

Having a dedicated office space at home can feel like one of those "in a perfect world" things, like a dedicated playroom would be ideal if you're a parent of small children. In reality, it's usually the first idea to go when you're short on space. You tell yourself the dining table works just fine, or that one armchair has basically become your unofficial office anyway. And sure, it works until it absolutely doesn't. Papers pile up, your laptop never quite has a home, and your relaxing spaces start to feel a little too work-adjacent.

The truth is, even if you're not fully remote, having a designated spot to handle life admin—sorting mail, paying bills, answering emails—makes a big difference. It helps create that mental boundary between downtime and getting things done, which, frankly, is half the battle.

Stakmore Pre-Assembled Wood Folding Desk, $134.99 at Costco

Costco

Well, Costco has the space-saving solution for you. Take a long look at the Stakmore Pre-Assembled Wood Folding Desk, which retails for $134.99 at the warehouse club. It's a simple, solid-wood design, so it's sturdy. But here's where the mind-blowing part comes in—you can fold it up. Yep, it basically folds up almost as compact as an old-school folding tray. So you can easily move it out of sight when not in use, or when you have company over.

The desk itself provides about 20 by 40 inches of usable surface space when unfolded. So it can hold a laptop, some papers and other basic office supplies at once, which is pretty nice for such a compact unit.

Related: These Pretty Pink IKEA Lanterns Might Be Petite, but They Pack a Dreamy Punch

Costco shoppers almost unanimously say this is the easiest piece of furniture they've ever put together. (It does come pre-assembled, so you really just have to figure out how to unfold it.)

"Needed a part-time desk that didn't take up a lot of room and could be tucked away when not in use," writes a Costco reviewer. "This fit the bill perfectly. Good size work area, and being able to fold it up to store is perfect. Material and workmanship are very good."

Others say the desk really exceeded their expectations and love that it has a built-in charging station.

"It is solid, small portable desk that can be used in many ways," wrote another customer. "I love that it has plugs and USB ports included on it. It is a great buy and fits my needs perfectly!"

If this sounds like it will fit any of your home office needs, grab it before it sells out again, because this little number goes in and out of stock at Costco due to its popularity.

Who’s Got Beef in ‘Beef’ Season 2? Meet the Star-Studded New Cast

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 4:03pm

Hungry for more Beef? Luckily for fans of the Netflix dark comedy, the Lee Sung Jin-created anthology series will soon welcome a second season with an entirely new plot and a new cast to match.

Premiering all eight 30-minute episodes on Thursday, April 16, Beef season 2 will follow up its Emmy-winning first season by following two very different couples — millennial duo Josh and Lindsay (played by Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan), who run a local country club, and Gen Z pair Austin and Ashley (Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny), two of the club's lower-level staffers — who get unexpectedly entangled in each other's relationships.

“Season 1’s beef is so overt and aggressive. I thought Season 2 should be the inverse: a passive-aggressive beef, which is more true to life, especially in a workplace,” Lee told Netflix Tudum about the characters' conflict, adding: “We thought, ‘What if we actually made them a little bit closer in age and highlight that generational divide?’”

Ahead of the dramedy's premiere, let's take a bite out of the starry cast of Beef season 2.

Oscar Isaac

In Beef season 2, Golden Globe winner Oscar Isaac plays Josh Martín, the general manager of a country club and husband to Carey Mulligan’s character. Much of the new eps center on a colossal fight between the couple, on which the Guatemalan-born star told Deadline he and his scene partner worked heavily to ensure its realistic tension: “We did improvisations, we did rehearsals where we taped out the thing, almost like a theater play.”

Now one of Hollywood’s most versatile leading men, the 47-year-old had his breakthrough as a Bob Dylan-esque beatnik in the 2013 musical drama Inside Llewyn Davis. In the decade-plus since, he’s had memorable roles in films like A Most Violent Year (2014), Ex Machina (2015), X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) and last year’s Frankenstein on Netflix. Isaac is arguably best-known for his roles in two major sci-fi franchises: as Poe Dameron in the Star Wars sequel trilogy (2015–2019) and as Leto Atreides in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune films

Maria Bello, Ashley Park, Mia Serafino, Remy Holt, Justin H. Min and Andrew Santino also appear in a recurring capacity.

Who is not returning for Beef season 2?

Because Beef is an anthology series, the storyline and subsequent cast of each installment change up with each season. That means that the main cast from season one, including leads Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, are not reprising their roles in season two; however, both actors remain signed on as executive producers on the project. As mentioned, the second season will see an entirely new plotline and cast, led by Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan.

1982 No. 1 Rock Classic Lost the Oscar for 'Best Original Song' 43 Years Ago

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 3:58pm

After its appearance in the 1982 film Rocky III, "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor has remained one of the most iconic songs in cinematic history.

The rock classic, written for the movie, snagged an Oscar nomination for "Best Original Song" at the 1983 Academy Awards, per The Saturday Evening Post. However, Survivor's hit lost out to "Up Where We Belong” by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes from the movie, An Officer and a Gentleman, as reported by the publication.

While "Eye of the Tiger" lost the big award, the rock song did secure the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100 in July 1982.

Survivor's Jim Peterik Shared Details About Writing the Song for 'Rocky III'

In a 2017 interview for Top 2000 a gogo, Survivor's keyboardist and songwriter, Jim Peterik, shared how the band's 1982 hit song came to be. According to Peterik, Sylvester Stallone, the star and writer of the Rocky franchise, approached the band to write a song to be featured in Rocky III. Stallone explained that he wantedQueen's 1980 song, "Another One Bites the Dust," to be in the film, but the British band refused to give him the publishing rights.

Peterik said he and Survivor’s guitarist Frankie Sullivan watched a Rocky III scene and eventually came up with "Eye of the Tiger." Peterik said that Stallone enjoyed the end product.

"Stallone he calls us, 'You guys really did it. You really did it, man,'" said the musician, now 75.

In addition, Peterik said he appreciates how much the 1982 song still means to fans.

"What amazes me and it's still inspiring people to go beyond what they thought they could do. I talked to cancer patients, it got them through chemo. I talked to company presidents, that got them to the top of the ladder. Sports music, they got the 'Eye of the Tiger' and it's the best reward I could ever get as a songwriter, is hearing those stories from people. I'm just very thrilled," said Peterik in the 2017 interview.

Creating a welcoming outdoor space doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. Whether you have a small balcony, a cozy patio, or a spacious backyard, the right seating can instantly elevate your environment. Outdoor living has become more popular than ever, with homeowners seeking simple ways to extend their indoor comfort into outdoor spaces. From morning coffee to evening gatherings, a well-designed patio setup can transform how you relax and entertain.

When choosing outdoor furniture, durability and versatility are key. Weather conditions like rain, sun exposure, and humidity can quickly wear down low-quality pieces. That's why more people are prioritizing materials that can withstand the elements while still maintaining their appearance over time. Additionally, comfort plays a huge role—supportive seating encourages longer, more enjoyable outdoor moments, whether you're hosting guests or simply unwinding after a long day.

Another growing trend in outdoor decor is minimalism. Clean lines, neutral tones, and functional design make it easier to mix and match pieces without overwhelming your space. This approach allows homeowners to refresh their patio without committing to a complete redesign. Instead, adding a few well-chosen items can create a cohesive, stylish look that feels both modern and inviting.

Spielberg-Inspired Blockbuster Ranked No. 1 ‘Top Film With the Most Fans’

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 3:49pm

If there’s one thing as sure as the pull of a black hole, it’s that Christopher Nolanmovies require multiple watches.

From Memento to The Prestige to Inception, the helmer’s resume is full of riddles and mind-benders fans cannot get enough of. But for all the cerebral twists, one film stands apart for something far more human: Interstellar

Ranked No. 1, the sci-fi epic tops Letterboxd’s “Top 250 Films With the Most Fans,” a ranking that reflects how audiences keep returning to their favorite films long after opening weekend.

What keeps Interstellar at the top isn’t just scale; it’s heart. Nolan’s deepest dive into science on the big screen follows former NASA pilot Coop, played by Matthew McConaughey, on a mission to save humanity from extinction, but at its core is an emotional father-daughter story hinged on paternal guilt

That emotional core was inentional. Taking inspiration from another sci-fi-with-heart auteur, Nolan injected the film’s screenplay with heartfelt moments using the spirit of Amblin films from the ’70s and ’80s, like Steven Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Jaws. Fun fact: Spielberg was originally attached to direct Intersteller with a script written by Christopher Nolan’s brother, Jonathan Nolan (Westworld).

“I hired Chris Nolan’s brother to write the first and second draft for me, but it didn’t stick,” Spielberg told Empire, per Entertainment Weekly. Bowing out, he handed the project over to Christopher Nolan, adding, “Interstellar was a much better movie in Chris Nolan’s hands than it would have been in mine.”

“Steven went off to do another film, so it became available," Christopher Nolan explained in a February conversation with Timothée Chalamet per Variety. “I was excited by it. I was incredibly struck by [Jonathan’s] first act.”

To get the astrophysics, black holes, and time travel accurate, Nolan turned to Kip Thorne and Lynda Obst. But even more than getting Gargantuan and the Tesseract right, Nolan wanted audiences choked up during interactions between Coop and Murph.

For all its cosmic delight, Interstellar endures with fans because of its themes of family and love. The science draws us in, but it’s the feeling that keeps us watching. Again. And again.

Khloé Kardashian Calls Out Lamar Odom, Says She Regrets Joining His Documentary ‘as a Favor’

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 3:44pm

Khloé Kardashian is slamming her ex-husband Lamar Odom after appearing in his new documentary as a "favor."

Odom's documentary, Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, premiered on Netflix on Tuesday, March 31, where he reflected on his near fatal overdose in 2015. Kardashian was featured in the documentary to share insight on their marriage during that time, including taking care of Odom after the overdose.

However, Odom has since refuted some of Kardashian's claims made in the documentary, including that Odom's father allegedly did not want him on life support. Odom also attributed his recovery to God rather than Kardashian.

Kardashian spoke about appearing in the documentary in a Wednesday, April 15 episode of her podcast Khloé in Wonderland.

"I think what's pissing me off is, we did this, all good. I was done with this. I'm like, I'm never going to do another Lamar thing again, 'cause I'm all good. But now Lamar is doing press [and saying he's] annoyed with me. Claiming or insinuating that I'm a liar, all these things, discrediting me, saying that I wasn't the one that helped him," she said in reference to comments Odom made on the Today show on April 6.

Kardashian added, "I feel so dumb," and said she's "pissed that I'm even involved."

She revealed on the podcast that she was approached by Odom's team to participate in the documentary where she told them, "I want to make sure this is a positive piece. I don't really want to go down this road if it's negative. He's been through enough."

Kardashian continued, "Everyone was like, 'No, it's amazing. It's going to be really positive. He's the one doing it. He's the one asking.' I willingly do the Netflix thing for Lamar. I'm not getting paid one penny to do this. I have no dog in this fight. It doesn't matter to me if this documentary is made or not made. I don't care. And it's also not something I really want to talk about anymore."

She said that since appearing in the documentary she feels "played."

"All I did was tell the story that I was asked by you to tell, but now to, like, play in my face and now to act like I didn't do any of the things I did and insinuate I'm a liar is crazy," she said. "Do people think I like talking about this all day long? No, it's traumatic. I would never expose someone that was not for me to expose. I kept all of that to myself for 11 years, or whenever that was. I was asked by Lamar to do this documentary. I did it for him."

Kardashian said she believes Odom is refuting her claims since the public reception to the documentary has been polarized.

"For years, he was singing my praises, all this. I don't even need you to sing my praises. But you're not now going to s*** on me or now play in my face because you don't like the reaction and the response from the public," she said.

Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom is now streaming on Netflix.

Rafael Nadal’s Final Chapter Is Hitting Netflix—and Fans Aren’t Ready

Wed, 04/15/2026 - 3:41pm

Those of us that enjoy tennis debate who is the greatest player of all time of the sport. Among the male players, arguments can be made for Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and even up-and-comer Carlos Alcaraz.
