Gayle King Joins 'Beyond the Gates' for Major Storyline
CBS has announced a new guest star crossover for Beyond the Gates, featuring a familiar face for daytime viewers.
CBS confirmed in an official announcement that CBS Mornings host Gayle King will appear on Beyond the Gates as part of a special crossover storyline.
King’s character will be interviewing Anita Dupree (Tamra Tunie) as Anita prepares to go public with her cancer diagnosis.
On the show, Anita was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in late 2025. Although the cancer was believed to have been caught early, Anita still faced an intense treatment process. The former head of the girl group The Articulates underwent chemotherapy and was seen having a port implanted as part of her treatment.
Anita shared the news with her family. Her daughters, Nicole Richardson Dupree (Daphnée Duplaix) and Dani Richardson Dupree (Karla Mosley), underwent testing for BRCA gene mutations, which can increase the risk of developing breast cancer.
Nicole tested negative for the mutation, while Dani tested positive. As a result, Dani’s children were also encouraged to undergo testing, while Nicole’s children were not considered at increased genetic risk.
Dani’s daughters, Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) were both tested. Chelsa tested negative, while Naomi initially claimed she was negative as well. However, Naomi later revealed to the audience she had tested positive and has struggled with how to handle the news.
Meanwhile, Anita has experienced difficult side effects from chemotherapy. She previously collapsed from dehydration and has also begun losing her hair. With the support of her daughter, Dani, Anita chose to take control of the situation by debuting a short new hairstyle.
In recent episodes, Anita fainted at the country club in front of Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann Grant), an incident that contributes to her decision to share her story publicly in an interview with Gayle King.
Beyond the Gates airs weekdays on CBS with episodes streaming on Paramount Plus. Viewers can catch up on all of the drama of Season 1 of Beyond the Gates on Paramount Plus or on Pluto TV’s dedicated 24/7 Beyond the Gates FAST channel.
‘Smallville’ Star Says Tom Welling Is Like Clark Kent — Except for This Surprising Behavior
While Tom Wellingplayed mild-mannered superhero, Clark Kent, on the hit WB show, Smallville, it seems that the actor might not be as polite as the Man of Steel.
During a February 2026 panel at the Vancouver FanExpo 2026, Welling, Kristin Kreuk, who played Lana Lang,Erica Durance, who played Lois Lane, andJames Marsters, who played villain Brainiac, discussed their time filming Smallville, which had a 10-season run until 2011. While on the panel, Marsters, who joined the show's cast in season 5, said that Welling shares quite a few similarities with Clark.
"When I came on the show, I was like, that guy actually is Clark Kent, you know, like he's super nice. He's a super supportive, natural-born leader. Something tells me, you don't mess with that guy," said the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star to the audience.
He then shared that, unlike Clark, Welling would tell "the naughtiest jokes [he] ever heard in [his] life" while on the show's set.
"I remember I told you like, 'Tom, don't tell me those jokes before lunch because in the morning they just get into my head and they burrow with those images and I can't shake them and you're ruining me.' And you were like, 'Oh, I'm sorry, James. I wouldn't want to ruin your psyche.' And then you would be like telling the jokes 4:00 in the morning,'" recalled Marsters while speaking to Welling.
Welling then explained that he enjoys using his humor to bother his friends.
Durance, who started filming the show during its fourth season, also shared that Welling would purposefully annoy her while she was still a guest star on the show.
"I was pretty excited to be a part of the show. I was pretty hyper all the time. I was easily poked at. So sometimes [Welling] would do that," said Durance on the panel. "And I think you were in there, day in and day out and I was a little bit of entertainment in the best way possible."

Zakk Wylde Jokes About His Wife Barb's True Feelings Toward His Infamous Beard
Rocker Zakk Wylde is now famous for his long beard, but that wasn't always the case. Radio host Abe Kanan even described the 59-year-old's early appearance while playing guitar for Ozzy Osbourne's band by saying he "looked like a supermodel." So, what does his longtime wife, Babaranne Wylde, who he's been married to since Dec. 14, 1992, think of the look?

"You could have been on like a Calvin Klein billboard and then... you grew that beard. Have you ever considered shaving the beard off and going back?" Kanan joked in a Feb. 19 Audacy Check-In interview with Wylde.
"When I didn't have the beard, that was the last time that Barb ever slept with me..." Wylde, who was once famous for his flowing blond, teased. "I'll probably end up getting lucky if I shave it off."
"Barb thinks she's sleeping with another guy, you know," the Black Label Society founder and singer laughed. "And she's like, 'Thank God, Zakk sucks.'"
The story of how he ended up with the beard in the first place is even more hilarious. The musician claims he was inspired to grow out his facial hair after he was played Ghose in the 2001 musical comedy film Rock Star.

"When we did the Rock Star movie, obviously I had to shave every day. At the end of the movie, we recorded like a where are they now with the band... I had a beard at the end. It was like a glue-on beard of exactly what it is now," he recalled, saying it was fun to "test drive" the bold look. "I'm looking at going, 'Bro, I think after the movie I'm I'm just gonna let it go and grow it grow a actual beard.'" From then on, the beard has been his signature look.

Joy Behar Clears the Air on Her Name Mentioned in the Epstein Files: 'I'm Not Guilty'
The public viewability of the Epstein files has led to a long list of celebrity names, including The View'sJoy Behar,Whoopi Goldberg, and plenty more who have had to explain why. Behar addressed why her name was on the list in a recent taping of the morning talk show and openly said she's "not guilty."
While certain high-profile names have been reported to have been involved with Jeffrey Epstein's social circle, being listed in flight logs, court documents, and emails does not automatically imply criminal wrongdoing. Behar explains she's certainly not one of them.
On Thursday’s episode of The View, Behar said the inclusion of what she described as "crazy names" appears designed to "muddy the waters" in the broader context of incriminating evidence found in the files. Behar explains that, to her understanding, her name was listed by chance due to her attendance at an event.
"So you say Whoopi [Goldberg’s] con the list and so am I, I think. We’re on the list because we were at a party or a wedding or something that somebody [else] might’ve been [at]. That’s what I found out," she said.
She further adds that she was a guest at Donald Trump's wedding to his ex-wife, Marla Maples, in 1993 in New York City. Whether or not Epstein was there, Behar has no idea, but admits, "That means that I’m not guilty, obviously, but these other ones, how are you going to decide who’s guilty and who’s not? It’s very tricky."
Sunny Hostin, who is a former federal prosecutor, agreed with her co-host, saying that the list of names doesn't implicate all of them of a crime. She does add that there are certain names of high-profile celebrities who are "guilty of wrongdoing."
Besides Behar, Goldberg also had to clear the air on her name appearing in the documents related to an email thread. The email pertained to John Lennon's charity holding an event for which Goldberg needed private flight accommodations, and the appropriate information was being given.
"I wasn’t his girlfriend. I wasn’t his friend. I’m speaking about me because I’m getting dragged. People actually believe that I was with him. Honey, come on. Every man I’ve been with, you’ve known about him because either the Enquirer wrote about it. People wrote about this stuff," said Golberg during the segment.
Recent news related to the Epstein files reveals Ex-Prince Andrew was taken into custody over suspicion of misconduct relating in relation to sharing confidential material with Epstein.

Conan O'Brien Breaks Silence on Rob Reiner's Death
Conan O'Brien finally broke his silence on Rob Reiner's death.
In an interview with The New Yorker published on Friday, Feb. 20, the late-night host spoke about Reiner, 78, and his wife, Michele Singer, 70, after they were murdered on Dec. 14, 2025.
Their son, Nick Reiner, 32, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in their stabbing deaths, which happened a day after an altercation involving Rob and Nick at O'Brien's holiday party.
“It’s just so awful,” O’Brien, 62, told The New Yorker. “And I think about how Rob felt about things that are happening in the country, how involved he was, how much he put himself out there — and to have that voice go quiet in an instant is still hard for me to comprehend.”
On Dec. 13, the Reiners attended O'Brien's Christmas party, Rob and Nick got in a "very loud argument," TMZ reported. A source told Us Weeklythat Nick allegedly acted “creepily” at the get-together before he left.
“Nick was going up to people at Conan O’Brien’s party asking if they were famous,” the unnamed source claimed.

Additionally, Nick allegedly interrupted a conversation involving Bill Hader, NBC News reported. When the comedian told him the conversation was private, Nick allegedly stared at him before "storming off."
After Nick's first court appearance in December, Rob and Michele's two other children, Jake, 34, and Romy, 27, released a statement about their parents' deaths.
“Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day," they wrote. "The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends.”
Nick's arraignment is scheduled for Feb. 23, after being postponed twice following his attorney, Alan Jackson, withdrawing from the case.

'Celebrity Jeopardy' Announces Star-Studded 'All Stars' Line-Up — Here’s Who Is Returning
Get ready to buzz in—Celebrity Jeopardy! is bringing back some serious brainpower.
ABC has unveiled the lineup for Celebrity Jeopardy! All Stars, set to premiere Friday, March 13, and this season’s tournament raises the stakes. According to PEOPLE, three reigning champions—Ike Barinholtz, Lisa Ann Walter and W. Kamau Bell—will return to defend their titles after winning their respective seasons.
This time, however, they won’t be starting from scratch. Per ABC, the trio will be seeded directly into the semifinals.
Joining them are 18 celebrities ready to shake up the board. According to the outlet, the lineup includes Mark Duplass, Rachel Dratch, Andy Richter, Macaulay Culkin, Cynthia Nixon, Margaret Cho, Ray Romano, Katie Nolan, Mina Kimes, Steven Weber, Sean Gunn, Roy Wood Jr., Patton Oswalt, Robin Thede,Mo Rocca, and Mira Sorvino. Jackie Tohn and Tim Simons of Nobody Wants This are also slated to compete.
The All Stars tournament will span 10 episodes, featuring six quarterfinals, three semifinals and one winner-takes-all finale.
One particularly fun (and fan-favorite) return is Culkin. The Home Alone star previously competed on Celebrity Jeopardy! in 2023 after being referenced as a clue on the show dozens of times. “You have been part of a ‘Jeopardy!’ clue, like, 42 times over your career,” host Ken Jennings told him at the time, per The Post. Culkin laughed, responding, “Oh, wow! Look mom, I’m famous! I’m a factoid! Trivial.”
Jennings joked he wasn’t sure if Culkin himself would appear on the board that night. “That would make it so much easier. For real,” Culkin teased. “I would be so much less nervous.”
During that appearance, Culkin competed on behalf of the San Diego Zoo and Wildlife Alliance—a reminder that, beyond bragging rights, the stakes are philanthropic.
On This Day in 1993, Rock Legend Scored a Posthumous No. 1 34 Years After His Death
Thirty-three years ago today, one of rock and roll’s earliest pioneers achieved a remarkable chart milestone.
On February 20, 1993, Words of Love, a compilation album by Buddy Holly and The Crickets, reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming one of Holly’s posthumous chart-toppers more than three decades after his death.
Released by PolyGram in 1993, Words of Love featured many of Holly’s most enduring songs, including “That’ll Be the Day,” “Peggy Sue,” “Everyday,” “Rave On,” and “Oh, Boy!” The album ultimately spent nine weeks on the UK chart and was later certified gold.
It was not the first time Holly had reached the top of the UK albums chart after his death. In 1978, the compilation 20 Golden Greats—known in some markets as Buddy Holly Lives—also climbed to No. 1, underscoring how prolific and beloved his catalog of songs was and continued to be after his tragic death in 1959.
Holly died on February 3, 1959, in a plane crash shortly after performing at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa. The crash also claimed the lives of fellow musicians J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson and Ritchie Valens, as well as pilot Roger Peterson, a tragedy that would later be immortalized as “The Day the Music Died.”
Though his life was cut short at just 22, Holly’s influence on rock music proved lasting. Artists from The Beatles to The Rolling Stones cited him as a formative inspiration, and his songwriting and sound helped define early rock and roll.
The chart success of Words of Love in 1993 served as another reminder that Holly’s music never truly faded. Decades after his death, his songs once again resonated strongly enough with listeners to send a collection of his work to No. 1—a rare and enduring posthumous achievement.

Michael J. Fox Predicts End to Parkinson’s in 40 Years
Michael J. Fox has spent more than three decades living with Parkinson’s disease, and while he says the fight isn’t over, he believes there’s a future without it.
In a new interview with Time published on Friday, February 20, the actor and advocate reflected on how far research has come since he was diagnosed at age 29 in 1991, and why he’s optimistic that Parkinson’s could one day be eradicated.
RELATED: Congratulations Pouring In For Actor Michael J. Fox
“I’d like to see a world without Parkinson’s, and I think that will happen,” the Back to theFuture star, 64, said. “I think in 30, 40 years, this will be done. Optimism is a powerful thing.”
When Fox was first diagnosed, he said Parkinson’s was widely misunderstood.
“It was an old person’s disease,” he told the outlet. “It was not a disease that got much attention.”
After learning he would be living with the condition for the rest of his life, Fox immersed himself in the science behind it and quickly realized what researchers were lacking.
“I was motivated by what I heard from the science people who said that the science is ahead of the money,” he said. “They said, ‘If you can direct money toward the right research, we can speed things along.’”
Taylor Hill/Getty Images
That motivation led him to co-create the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in 2000 with Deborah Brooks. The organization has since grown into the largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson’s research in the world, providing more than $2 billion to scientists.
Fox said he approached fundraising with his trademark humor and persistence.
“I’ll come in your office, I’ll take pictures with all of your employees, and I’ll pound you for money,” he said.
More than 25 years later, the foundation plays a key role in bringing together scientists, policy makers and advocates to remove barriers to research and treatment development. According to Brooks, there are now “175-plus therapeutic interventions being tested in humans.”
The Family Ties alum acknowledged that despite the progress, the ultimate goal has not yet been reached.
“I know we’ve done a lot, but we haven’t cured Parkinson’s,” he said. “I’m always pushing and never happy until we get this done. We’ve changed the way people think about the disease, and we know there’s an end, and we’ll find it.”
He also spoke about the deeply personal decision to publicly share his diagnosis seven years after learning he had the disease. At first, he wasn’t sure how it would be received.
“I went online and into Parkinson’s chat rooms, and I would go in anonymously, and would ask, ‘What do you think of this Michael Fox thing?’” he said. “And they would say, ‘It’s great.’ I would think, ‘You’re celebrating my having Parkinson’s.’ But then I got it.”
Ultimately, he came to see his role differently.
RELATED: Michael J. Fox Reflects on the Legacy He Wants To Leave Behind: ‘Spend It All Now’
“The more I thought about it, the more I thought it was a privilege, and in a way, a gift,” Fox said. “It’s a gift that keeps on taking, but if I look at the positive side of it…this is a role that I fell into and I found myself uniquely qualified to fulfill.”
Still, he made clear he has no intention of backing down.
“[Parkinson’s] is the biggest bully there is for me,” he said. “And I’m not just going to let it get its way. We’re going to have a fight and I’m going to get a few punches in. I may get beat up in the long run, but we’ll get it done. I’m a — pardon my language — tough son of a bitch and I’m going to get it done.”
Kohl's Chic Set of Stoneware Bowls Bring Marbled Elegance to Your Table
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
I will forever love the look of marble in a kitchen. Whether it's marble countertops or a marble backsplash, I'm all in. It's classic, elevated and makes you feel like you should suddenly start using words like "curated." That's right, you're an interior designer now. But here's the thing, as much as I adore marble in theory, I don't necessarily want to eat my Tuesday night pasta out of a slab of it.
Marble dishware can be heavy and a little high-maintenance. Plus, I don't want to stress about staining it with marinara. I want to enjoy dinner, not worry about whether turmeric just changed my bowl's pretty aesthetic forever. That's where stoneware is a real table setting winner. It's sturdy, microwave-friendly and holds heat well. But what if you could have both the ease of stoneware and the look of marble? Well, let me introduce you to my latest find at Kohl's.
Helholm 2-Pack Stoneware Bowl Grey Marble Collection, $70.06 at Kohl'sKohl's
The retailer is selling the most chic set of two Helholm Stoneware Bowls in a grey marble colorway. They're perfect for making everyday meals look a little stylish (hey, you eat with your eyes first). Use them for your morning yogurt with berries, a grain bowl, pasta, soup or even a small side salad.
These stoneware marble bowls are also ideal for "low-effort but make it pretty" hosting. Fill them with olives, nuts or snack mixes when friends come over. Alternatively, you could use them for dips or guac. Even a simple scoop of ice cream feels fancier in a marble-look bowl.
On top of those ideas, these can be great beyond food. A pair of bowls on your coffee table holding wrapped candies looks fancy. Or one by the sink for rings while you do dishes is a stylish and helpful way to use them.
While the manufacturer recommends handwashing the set before its first use, it is dishwasher-, microwave- and freezer-safe. Plus, they're oven safe up to 428°F. I certainly wouldn't try to cook anything in the oven with these, but it's a nice-to-have option if you want to pop them in at a low temperature to warm something up.

Saddest Country Song of the 1980s Was Recorded by Former Marine
Country music is so littered with sad songs that it's a well-worn joke: what do you get when you play a country song backwards? You get your wife back, your dog back, your truck back…and in case of what Taste of Countrycalled the Saddest Country Song of the 1980s, you get your life back.
George Jones' "He Stopped Loving Her Today"was crowned the saddest of all '80s country songs, a somber, downtrodden, twangy tune that swells into pure honky-tonk heartbreak. Written by Bobby Braddock and Curly Putnam, it's Jones' personal pain that comes through with each note.
And if there were anyone to sing this song, it would be a former Marine with a history full of broken bottles and broken marriages.
George Jones Served In The Marine CorpsGeorge Jones—born in Saratoga, Texas, in 1931—joined the Marine Corps in late 1951, serving the majority of his service at Camp Pendleton in San Diego County.
According to the Texas State Historical Association, Jones' enlistment wasn't out of patriotic pride. He had been jailed that September for failing to pay child support to his first wife, Dorothy Bonvillion. The judge suggested that Jones join the Marine Corps to avoid further jail time, and so he did.
Jones served until 1953, returning to East Texas after his discharge, and began his career as a singer. In 1959, he had his first No. 1 country song with "White Lightnin'." From there, George Jones became one of country music's biggest stars of the day, amassing a string of chart-toppers like "Tender Years," "She Thinks I Still Care," and "Walk Through This World With Me."
George Jones' Music Career: Highs & LowsBut, as the decade wore on, Jones' demons got the better of him.
One of his notorious drinking stories came when he was drunk for several days. His then-wife, Shirley Corley, hid the keys to all their cars so he couldn't drive to the nearby town of Beaumont, Texas, to buy liquor. So, he decided to fire up the rideable lawn mower to make the 8-mile trek.
"There, gleaming in the glow, was that 10-horsepower rotary engine under a seat, a key glistening in the ignition," he wrote in his autobiography, per Houston Press. "I imagine the top speed for that old mower was five miles per hour. It might have taken an hour and a half or more for me to get to the liquor store, but get there I did."
Tammy Wynette, whom Jones married in 1969, also claimed to have seen George make a beer run while aboard a John Deere.
Though Jones and Wynette's marriage took their careers to a new level, his substance abuse issues led to their divorce in 1975, per Biography. She claimed in her 1979 autobiography that he once chased her through their home with a loaded rifle; he denied that claim in his 1996 memoir.
Which is all to say that Jones was at a low point at the end of the 1970s. Nicknamed "No-Show Jones" for all the concerts he missed, the curtain almost fell on his career.
"He Stopped Loving Her Today" Was George Jones' Comeback"He Stopped Loving Her Today" details a man whose lover leaves him, but he vows to love her until he dies. Eventually, she returns to him…as he's being lowered into his grave. Ergo, the title, and why "he stopped loving her today."
"This isn't just the greatest sad country song of the 1980s — it might be the greatest sad country song of all time," wrote Carena Liptak when documenting the 20 Saddest Country Songs of the 1980s for Taste of Country. "Here, Jones describes an unrequited love so powerful, the only thing that can end it is death."
Jones initially hated the song. "He thought it was too long, too sad, too depressing, and that nobody would ever play it. He was going through hard times then," said producer Billy Sherrill, according to American Songwriter. "And I was having a hell of a time even getting him into the studio at all. He hated the song, hated the melody, and wouldn't even learn it. This went on for a long time."
Jones reportedly told Shirrell that "nobody'll buy that morbid son of a bitch," though record sales proved them wrong. To put it simply, I was back on top. Just that quickly," said Jones. "I don't want to belabor this comparison, but a four-decade career had been salvaged by a three-minute song. There is a God."
Charts and Awards"He Stopped Loving Her Today" went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Charts. The song won the Grammy for Best Male Country Vocal Performance, the Academy of Country Music's Single of the Year and Song of the Year, and the Country Music Association's Song of the Year.
Why The Song Endures"He Stopped Loving Her Today" kicked off Jones' comeback, and he would top the country chart a few more times during the 1980s. In the 1990s, as country music shifted towards a pop-oriented sound, Jones would champion the genre's traditional music stylings. He'd record and perform throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
Jones was scheduled to perform his final concert in November 2013, but he passed away in April of that year after being hospitalized with irregular blood pressure.
Considered to be the greatest country singer of all time, "He Stopped Loving Her Today" endures as a testament to George Jones's career.
"It's never been for love of money. I thank God for it because it makes me a living. But I sing because I love it," he told Billboardin 2006. The man loved country music, and when he died, he stopped loving it that day.

‘Gilmore Girls’ Star Reunites With Milo Ventimiglia for Emotional New Movie
Actress Arielle Kebbel opened up about reuniting on the big screen with her formerGilmore Girls castmate Milo Ventimiglia.
In a February 2026 interview with Extra TV, Kebbel discussed filming the new movie, I Can Only Imagine 2, wherein she plays musician Tim Timmons' (Ventimiglia) wife, Hilary Timmons. She noted that she and Ventimiglia both appeared in Gilmore Girls as their respective characters, Lindsay Lister Forester and Jess Mariano. In the hit WB show, which had a 7-season run until 2007, Jess was Rory Gilmore's (Alexis Bledel) complicated love interest. Meanwhile, Lindsay was the wife of Rory's first boyfriend, Dean Forester, played byJared Padalecki. Dean and Lindsay's marriage dissolved after he had an affair with Rory.
Kebbel, who remained on the Gilmore Girls cast from season 3 to 6, shared that she was happy to co-star with Ventimiglia again for I Can Only Imagine 2.
"I was like, Team Jess all the way," quipped Kebbel.
She also said "the idea of a reunion was very exciting" because she and Ventimiglia "were babies when [they] filmed Gilmore Girls." In addition, Kebbel told the publication that neither she nor Ventimiglia knew how much of a cultural impact Gilmore Girls would end up having while they were shooting the series.
"None of us knew at that time that it was going to have this cult following that it still has today. And so to see the evolution of that show and then, you know, you get a call one day about possibly working together again, it's kind of like those are the really fun moments in our business that you can't ever really see coming and you're like, 'Oh my god, here it is. Let's do it,'" said Kebbel during the Extra TV interview.
Kebbel then complimented Ventimiglia for his performance as Tim in I Can Only Imagine 2, which premiered on February 20.
"He's such a pro. And he really dove into the work with Tim so deeply. Our scenes, we go a lot from like laughing to crying," said Kebbel in the interview. "And there's such an emotional journey there. And he's a very like grounding, calming kind of presence to have on set, so that was really nice to work with."
Milo Ventimiglia Discussed the Legacy of 'Gilmore Girls'In a 2023 interview with InStyle, Ventimiglia commented on the long-lasting legacy of Gilmore Girls. He complimented the show's co-creators,Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, for their ability to craft timeless, captivating stories. According to Ventimiglia, his friend's young daughter, who was 7 at the time of the interview, began watching Gilmore Girls and was impressed by Rory's academic career.
"She's just now starting to watch Gilmore Girls and already said she wants to go to Harvard because of Rory Gilmore and it's like that's so cool. I mean for a show that's more than 20 years old to be picked up by someone as young as seven now, and is understood and the kid is inspired by it, that's genius level writing," said the This Is Us actor in the 2023 interview.
Ventimiglia returned to play Jess for the 2016 four-episode Netflix revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
Paul McCartney Gets 'Very Emotional' Seeing Linda Again in 'Man on the Run' Doc
Paul McCartney admitted that seeing his late wife and former Wings bandmate,Linda McCartney, in his new documentary, Man on the Run, left him "very emotional."
At the screening of his latest film, which explores his life after the Beatles and the formation of Wings, McCartney reflected with Us Weekly, "I think all the stuff with the kids and Linda is lovely to see. I mean, obviously, the Linda stuff was very emotional. She looks so beautiful. She’s so cool.”
He continued, "Me and Linda interacting is very special, because she's not here. Seeing the kids little, 'cause they know they're not little anymore ... they've got kids of their own. Linda, the kids, me and John [Lennon], just these memories ... it's like a life flashing in front of me."

According to the outlet, several of the photos and home videos featured in the documentary were taken by Linda, adding a special and deeply personal touch to the film. McCartney later admitted he had long believed the footage was gone for good and was stunned when it resurfaced.
"Because in the ’60s and ’70s, you’d have a lot of break-ins. You wouldn’t really bother locking your door too much. So fans would come in, just nicking a lot of stuff. It was just like … it was how it was," he said, adding, "So I kind of automatically just thought, ‘Well, it’s all gone. But [the] kids at my office were fantastic. They looked in every little, you know, storage units and every little drawer and everything, and they found it all.”
Paul and Linda wed in March 1969, and went on to raise four children together: Heather, 63, whom Paul adopted, Stella, 54; Mary, 53; and James, 48.
According to Concord, in 1971, just a year after the Beatles disbanded, Paul and Linda formed Wings, with their 1973 album Band on the Run one of the best-selling albums of the decade. The band had incredible hits, including "Live and Let Die," "Jet," and "Silly Love Songs." They ultimately broke up in 1981.
Paul and Linda were married until her death from breast cancer in 1998. She was 56. Paul later remarried Heather Mills in 2002, and the couple welcomed a daughter, Beatrice. After years of separation, their divorce was finalized in 2008, per Cosmopolitan. In 2011, Paul married Nancy Shevell, and the couple has been together since.
Jack in the Box Adds Limited-Time Twist to Menu — And It’s Dividing Customers
Jack in the Box is aiming to tap into a popular trend with some out of the box thinking. The chain just added two new items to its menu, but they are available for a limited time.
According to a February 19 press release, Jack in the Box is "turning a trend into true innovation" with the release of matcha drinks.
When people think of Jack in the Box, they typically think of burgers, tacos, fries, and shakes. Now, however, the company is aiming to add their matcha creations to the list of fan favorites.
Jack in the Box now offers a matcha iced latte as well as an Oreo matcha shake.
View this post on InstagramCiaran Duffy, the Jack in the Box Executive Chef, explained the additions were "about expanding the flavor palate, and not just pushing indulgence for indulgence sake."
He continued, "While we're known for bold, craveable food, we're also focused on evolving with consumer tastes and where trends are headed, especially with younger Millenials and Gen Z."
The matcha latte and Oreo matcha shake are currently available via the Jack in the Box app, online, or in restaurants.
The announcement shared via the company's Instagram page prompted a flurry of positive responses. A few customers noted they had already given either the latte or the shake a try.
"This is the last thing I expect to order at Jack BUT I'm loyal to you so I guess I'll try it," one customer commented.
Another person excitedly wrote, "WHAAAAA- THAT LOOKS SOOO GOOD."

"I NEED NOWWWW," declared someone else.
An additional customer added, "MATCHA MADNESS!!"
The matcha items have only just become available, but customers are already suggesting additions and modifications. Some are hoping to see Jack in the Box add boba or thai tea, while someone else suggested adding strawberry syrup.
One customer who had already purchased one of the new items admitted they were "a little conflicted." They explained, "I WISH it had more flavor on the matcha part. It was just a little sweet."
Someone else revealed, "For me [it] was way too sweet with a hint of matcha. I didn't like it."
On the contrary, another commenter gushed, "I tried the matcha oreo shake. It was delicious!"
Jeff Bridges Fondly Remembers Working With Clint Eastwood in Breakout '70s Comedy
Though he's managed to become one of the most talented and widely recognized actors of his generation, in the mid 1970s, Jeff Bridges was little more than yet another young performer struggling to make a place for himself in the mainstream film industry.
Entering the medium in 1970, Bridges had fast success with his key role in the 1971 ensemble drama, The Last Picture Show. But it wasn't until the release of 1974's crime comedy Thunderbolt and Lightfoot that the actor secured his place as the next big thing in pop culture.
Starring opposite the legendary '70s leading man Clint Eastwood, Bridges credited his famed co-star with helping him improve his on-set acting abilities, something the young actor viewed as incredibly helpful to his career.
According to the pop culture websiteGamesRadar+, Bridges specifically remembered how Eastwood helped convince Thunderbolt and Lightfoot's director, Michael Cimino, in filming additional takes of certain scenes.
Eastwood, himself an accomplished director, famously preferred to shoot scenes only once or twice before moving on in filming. As Bridges recalled, however, the High Plains Drifter star allowed Bridges to film additional takes whenever the younger actor was struck with an idea for how to shoot the scene.
"[Clint Eastwood] was wonderful," Bridges revealed. "That was Michael Cimino’s first film. And of course Michael is famous for many, many takes. Clint, you know, he likes one or two takes. And Cimino, you know, was doing what the boss wanted him to do."
"We were doing two or three takes at the most," the Big Lebowski star continued. "I was the one who would always say, ‘Oh, Mike, I got an idea!’ and he would say, ‘Well, I have to talk to the boss.’ Clint would always say, ‘Give the kid another shot’. I always appreciated that.”
In the end, Bridges' suggestions ultimately helped Thunderbolt and Lightfoot become a critical and commercial success upon its release in 1974. Following the movie's theatrical debut, Bridges wound up receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, continuing to solidify his career in mainstream film.

Liza Minnelli Claims Behind-the-Scenes Drama Soured Her Viral Oscars Moment With Lady Gaga
Viewers of the 2022 Academy Awards were touched by Liza Minnelli and Lady Gaga’s onstage encounter. However, for the Cabaret star, the situation was tainted by circumstances beyond her control.
In her upcoming memoir, Kids, Wait Till You Hear This!, which is set to be released on March 10, Minnelli, 79, looks back on the viral moment when she presented the best picture category with Gaga, 39, during the 2022 Oscars. Minnelli appeared on stage in a wheelchair and stumbled over her words, with Gaga reassuring her, “I got you.”
While fans applauded Gaga’s compassion at the time, Minnelli claims in a book excerpt published by People that the Academy forced her to use a wheelchair at the last minute despite her previous expectation that she would be seated in a director’s chair.
“I was inexplicably ordered—not even asked—to sit in a wheelchair or not appear at all,” she writes. “I was told it was because of my age, and for safety reasons, because I might slip out of the director’s chair, which was bullshit. ‘I will not be treated this way,’ I said. My co-presenter insisted she would not go on stage with me unless I was in a wheelchair. I was heartbroken. I was much lower down than I would have been in the director’s chair. Now I couldn’t easily read the teleprompter above me.”
As Minnelli continues to recount her version of events, she points out Gaga’s reaction to her struggles on stage.
“How would you feel if you were wheeled out, against your will, to perform in front of a live audience, and unable to see clearly?” she asks readers. “So when I stumbled over a few words, Gaga, who was at my side, didn’t miss a beat to play the kindhearted hero for all the world to see. ‘I got you,’ she said, leaning down over me.”
According to Minnelli, Gaga checked on her in her dressing room after learning that her fellow Oscar winner was upset about being in a wheelchair, inquiring, “Are you OK?” Amid her emotions over the ordeal, Minnelli recalls putting on a pleasant façade for Gaga.
“I looked at her and said simply, ‘I’m a big fan,’” Minnelli notes in her memoir. “I learned this lesson years ago from Mama and Papa. At a moment of high stress, you stay gracious.”
Minnelli—who is the daughter of the late actress and singer Judy Garland and late director Vincente Minnelli—also remembers trying to look on the bright side of the difficult situation.
“The winner for best picture that year was CODA. I loved the irony of the title for me. Writing my memoir would be my coda, my truth,” she explains. “There’s always a rainbow—if you know where to look for it.”
At 13, Liza Minnelli Became Her Mother Judy Garland’s ‘Caretaker’
In her upcoming memoir, Kids, Wait Till You Hear This!, Liza Minnelli addresses the complexities of her relationship with her late mother.
Liza, who turns 80 years old on March 12, is the daughter of Hollywood legend Judy Garland and director Vincente Minnelli.
Judy and Vincente, who got married on November 15, 1945, later called it quits in June of 1951. Judy went on to marry Sidney Luft in 1952 and welcomed children Lorna and Joey Luft.
In her memoir, Liza recalls navigating life on the road with her younger siblings and their mom.
“I’ll never forget the day she sat us down and gave Lorna and me a choice; Joey was less than 1 year old. We could stay in school in Los Angeles. Or we could come on the road with her. We’d be in and out of different hotels, schools (I’d eventually attend 22 of them), and cities. ‘When do we leave?’ we answered in unison,” the EGOT-winning wrote, in an exclusive excerpt obtained by People.

She continued, “At 13, I was my mother’s caretaker — a nurse, doctor, pharmacologist, and psychiatrist rolled into one. I lost count of the times I called doctors to say she’d run out of pills. I’d say: ‘I’m a kid! Please fill my mama’s prescription!’”
Judy died at 47 years old on June 22, 1969. Her death was ruled an accidental overdose of barbiturates.
Though 11 years sober, Liza, too, faced struggles with addiction after her mother’s death, as detailed in her book.
“I cried for eight straight days,” she penned. “Stress and tension overwhelmed me. I was reeling, and a doctor prescribed Valium to help me relax just before the funeral. What began as a one-day blessing soon turned into a habit, then a full-blown case of addiction in the years ahead. It was a final gift, a genetic inheritance from Mama I could not escape.”
Kids, Wait Till You Hear This! hits shelves on March 10.
If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, help is available 24 hours a day through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Hotline at 1-800-662-4357.
