Spencer Pratt Shuts Down Jimmy Kimmel's U-Haul Dig With Heartbreaking Video
Spencer Pratt will not be the next mayor of Los Angeles. And Jimmy Kimmelhas something to say about it. The late-night host recently roasted Pratt after his loss to Nithya Raman (the city council member will face incumbent Mayor Karen Bass in a November runoff race), renting him a U-Haul to move out of L.A.
During his monologue on Tuesday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel said, “You know, he clearly promised that if Karen Bass or Nithya Raman were elected mayor, he’s going to move out of L.A. He said he was done with L.A. and Spencer; if you’re watching, we are so, so sorry to see you go.”
Kimmel continued, “You’re a man of your word, and you’ve got to go. You said you were going to go, and I know things might be tight right now, especially out-of-state donation money is running out. Moving is expensive. So, to help you out, we rented you a U-Haul.
Yes, Kimmel did indeed rent a U-Haul. As he continues to pan Pratt, a clip of the truck rolls. And this isn't just a plain U’Haul. Kimmel’s team decked it out with balloons, a picture of Pratt’s face, and a crystal-covered sign that reads, “Just Defeated.”
The late-night host added, “This is it. It has plenty of room. It’s got two beds, tables, chairs, all your crystals, whatever you want. Our staff spent the whole day decorating for you…I hope that you and Heidi are happy wherever it is you go. Maybe you could be mayor there. Or maybe just run for mayor and finish in third place there. It could be fun for your new reality show, season 2. Either was mazel tov and goodbye.”

Allow us to set the scene: Following the successful stage play directed by Jason Schwartzman's Max Fischer, the audience and crew celebrate at an after-party. Max dances with his new girlfriend, Sara Tanaka's Margaret, with the two complimenting each other’s performances. Bill Murray's Mr. Blume then cuts in, freeing Max to chat with Olivia Williams' Miss Cross. She asks Max to dance; he calls on the DJ to play something with a little more kick. The record skips, static plays, then Faces’ “Ooh La La” strums in.
As the two look deep into each other’s eyes, Miss Cross removes Max’s glasses, smiles, and the two walk hand-in-hand to the dance floor in a slow-motion display of youthful ambition and adult reflection. The curtain closes, the credits roll, and the scene becomes the perfect bittersweet life-affirming conclusion. Or as Rolling Stone put it, the “best ending ever, man.”
“Ooh La La,” described by the outlet as a “1973 pub-rock oldie,” was co-written by lead guitarist Ronnie Wood and bassist Ronnie Lane, with Wood singing. The song was released on what would become Faces’ fourth and final studio album, due to Rod Stewart’s fledgling solo career. Ooh La La was the band’s second-best performing album, following their 1971 release, A Nod Is As Good As a Wink to a Blind Horse.
Now, more than five decades later, the group have reunited (minus Lane and keyboardist Ian McLagan, who have both passed away) and announced a new album tentatively set for this year sometime.
As for Anderson, Rushmore was his sophomore film, following Bottle Rocket and preceding The Royal Tenenbaums. Though it was just a modest box office success, the innovative comedy about misdirected affection has garnered a cult following since its release and is consistently mentioned roundups and rankings.
Anderson's current untitled and tight-lipped project has been described as having “a darkness,” and sees the director reuniting with Roman Coppola and The Phoenician Scheme star Richard Ayoade.

Legendary Guitarist From Iconic '80s Rock Band Turns 61 Today
Musician Joey Santiago, best known for being the Pixies' guitarist, turned 61 on June 10, as reported by Songfacts.
In a May 2026 interview with The Times, the guitarist discussed being a founding member of the Pixies, a band best known for hits like "Where Is My Mind" and "Here Comes Your Man." He recalled that he was introduced to the band's singer and guitarist Black Francis, born Charles Thompson, while he was a University of Massachusetts Amherst student. Santiago said he ended up leaving college after he and Francis established the Pixies in 1986.
“I was on academic probation straight away. I have five brothers and the plan was for all of us to get a college degree, so my parents, even my brothers, were disapproving of my own plans to be in a band. But I knew we were doing something special, something different, from the very start," said Santiago during the May 2026 interview.
He then noted that he and his bandmates, which also include Kim Deal and David Lovering, found success "very quickly," which caused him to realize he didn't "have to go back to college."

As part of its updated Incentive Measures Program for 2026, Montenegro is encouraging travelers to explore the country's less-visited northern mountain region, a move designed to reduce pressure on overcrowded coastal destinations while spreading tourism benefits more evenly throughout the country.
The initiative also reflects a growing trend across Europe, where destinations are searching for ways to combat overtourism and encourage visitors to travel beyond the most popular hotspots.
Montenegro wants to create a year-round tourism destinationTourism is the most important sector in Montenegro's economy, accounting for 30% of the country's total GDP, according to the International Trade Administration. But Montenegro's coastal towns, including Kotor, Budva, and Herceg Novi, attract the majority of visitors each summer—and tourism officials see untapped potential in the country's mountainous north.
In 2024, for example, the country welcomed 2.61 million visitors, who accounted for 15.59 million overnight stays. The bulk of that tourism activity (94% of the total overnight stays) remained concentrated along the Adriatic coast. Meanwhile, mountain resorts and other inland destinations attracted much smaller—albeit growing—shares of the tourism activity.
The National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro says the 2026 Incentive Measures Program is focused on creating "a year-round, diversified tourism product" and the "prerequisites for balanced regional development," while "better [positioning] Montenegro on the world tourism map."
According to the organization, the program is designed to provide special attention to northern municipalities that have historically received fewer visitors than the coast. The strategy also aims to support entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and tourism projects led by women and young people, while helping local communities benefit more directly from visitor spending.
For travelers, that could mean expanded opportunities to experience a different side of Montenegro—one defined by rugged mountains, national parks, alpine villages, hiking trails, and outdoor adventure rather than beach resorts and cruise ships.
The country's northern region is home to some of Montenegro's most dramatic landscapes, including Durmitor National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its glacial lakes, deep canyons, and towering peaks.

As more tourists seek authentic experiences away from crowded destinations, Montenegro's mountains offer opportunities for hiking, rafting, skiing, cycling, wildlife watching, and cultural tourism. The region's cooler temperatures may also appeal to travelers looking to escape increasingly intense summer heat along the coastlines.
Ultimately, officials hope visitors will discover that the country has far more to offer than its shoreline alone.

She says that there are actually plenty of ways to politely end a conversation with a talkative person, and she's sharing the best tactics.
In fact, she considers the art of the exit strategy an extremely important one to learn. While many people might avoid using, worrying about people disliking them for doing so, it can actually have the opposite effect. The expert believes you'll actually be instantly more likable if you're direct while remaining kind.
"One of the most overlooked social skills is how to end a conversation gracefully, especially when speaking with someone who talks a lot," Sawhney tells Parade. "Many people stress that if they leave a conversation too soon, it may come across as rude and inconsiderate. However, good etiquette is knowing how to balance kindness with awareness. The goal is not to escape the interaction, but to end the dialogue without making the other person feel dismissed."
And one of the biggest takeaways she wants to share is that, when ending a discussion with someone, it's key to "remain clear, respectful and brief."

Sawhney says there are some telltale signs that a conversation is running too long. For starters, she shares that from an etiquette perspective, a conversation has run its course when it starts to feel burdensome and less like a pleasant two-way interaction.
"A meaningful exchange is not measured by the minute count, but by the quality of interaction and the ability to remain socially aware," she explains. "When someone starts looking at their watch, stops asking questions and starts giving short answers, you know it's time to wrap things up, as the conversation has likely become repetitive or one-sided."
She stresses that this is especially important to keep in mind when you're at a networking event where your goal is to make as many connections as possible. For this kind of situation, she has some advice.
"Networking events reward circulation," she continues. "The key is not to exit abruptly or when someone is mid-sentence. Instead, wait for a natural pause and exit courteously."

Another key thing to watch for is someone's body language, as Sawhney says it plays an important role in ending a conversation politely. It can signify a natural transition like an ending.
"When you stand up, gather your things or when you turn slightly toward your next destination, it shows that you are ready to move along," she shares. "Likewise, when a person you are speaking to starts looking over your shoulder and around the room, fidgeting, smiling less or avoiding eye contact, it's a message that they have lost interest. A conversation becomes too long when the enthusiasm drops, or if it prevents you from moving on to what you came there to accomplish."

How to Politely End a Conversation With a Talkative Person, According to an Etiquette ExpertPeople who talk excessively aren't always the best at picking up on conversational cues, which is probably why they tend to stretch a conversation past its prime, Sawhney says. She has a few tips on how you can solve this issue effectively while still remaining kind.
"You may be waiting patiently for the perfect opening, but that moment may never come," she explains. "A polite way to interrupt a discussion is to use a warm, friendly tone while still being direct. Phrases such as 'I need to respect your time and mine' show consideration for the other person's time and are both courteous and respectful."
She also recommends using other polite statements like "Before we go further, I need to head out in five minutes." This is a great option because it prepares the speaker and lets them know you're heading towards wrapping up the conversation.
"When you want to interrupt, have a clear reason and try not to be vague," she warns. "Being direct and setting clear boundaries is far more polite than hesitating. For example, making it clear by saying 'I need to leave by 8:00 p.m.' sounds calm and firm."
The key, Sawhney says, is to close out the conversation with respect, courtesy and appreciation. You can top the conversation off by mentioning something you enjoyed discussing.
"'It was a pleasure to meet you. I really enjoyed hearing about your ski trip to Chamonix,'" Sawhney shares as an example. "Even saying 'It was great connecting' or 'I'm so glad we got to talk' is warm, shows grace and makes the other person feel valued."

While the above statements are often the most direct when trying to end a conversation, Sawhney says there are plenty of other ways you can close out a chat effectively. She shares a few more of her ideas and tips below.
1. *Don't* overexplain yourselfSawnhey shares that this is one of the biggest mistakes folks make when trying to exit a conversation politely.
"Long justifications make conversations even longer," she says about overexplaining and oversharing. "Avoid 'I should go now because I have errands to run, laundry to finish and work to do.' Keep it short and simple: 'I need to head out now. It was lovely meeting you.'"
2. Always use a warm and friendly toneUsing a kind and respectful tone is always the focus when you're ready to head out.
"Depending on who you're with and whether the setting is professional or social, your wording may change, but your tone, vocal image and delivery should be warm, graceful and unapologetic," Sawhney says. "In a professional setting, you might say, 'I am going to jump off the call now so I can stay on schedule. Thank you for the update.' With a neighbor, something as simple as 'I'd better get going, but it was very nice seeing you' works well."
3. Be calm yet firmUsing unambiguous statements goes hand-in-hand with avoiding overexplaining yourself. As Sawhney says, it's important to keep it short, sweet and firm. She has a few phrases that work well in this realm.
"With someone known for excessively talking, a calm but firm statement like, 'I'm going to stop you here as I need to run' helps create a respectful boundary," she notes. "Sometimes, even after you say goodbye, the person continues talking. In those moments, it's perfectly okay to say, 'I really do have to go now' or 'It was great catching up with you. I have to run.'"

4. Always have good mannersAccording to Sawhney, good manners are absolutely key here. When you apply good manners to your exit speech, the other person won't perceive you as rude.
"Good manners are not about endless availability," she adds. "They are about making others feel heard and respected, while also respecting your own time and energy."

Country Rock Icon Announces Fall 2026 Solo Tour Dates With Surprise Special Guests
It's been a busy year for Jeff Tweedy, and it doesn't look like the beloved musician is slowing down anytime soon.
Since releasing his critically acclaimed triple album, Twilight Override, in September 2025, Tweedy has been playing packed live shows around the world in all his fan-favorite musical incarnations: With Wilco, Golden Smog, and on his own. Now the 58-year-old singer-songwriter has announced a fall solo tour following Twilight Override's first anniversary featuring some very special guests.
In an official Instagram post this week, Tweedy shared a string of brand new tour dates kicking off in Three Oaks, Michigan, on Oct. 20. The run will make stops in a number of cities — including back-to-back stops in Woodstock, NY, on Oct. 26 and 27 — before wrapping up in Davenport, Iowa, on Nov. 7.
Tweedy will be joined by duo Case Oats, featuring his son Spencer Tweedy and Casey Gomez as an opening act.

Any fans fortunate enough to nab tickets to this fall's solo shows can likely expect to hear songs from Twilight Override, already considered a classic among Tweedy devotees.
In an interview with Consequence in September 2025, Tweedy opened up about why he decided to make Twilight Override a triple album, explaining, "Every sequence I tried to make of a one record felt like it was missing some of that conversation between dissonance and harmony."
“Creativity eats darkness,” Tweedy added. "I reject the idea that the world is only getting worse. I reserve the right to envision a beautiful world.”
In another interview that same month with NPR, Tweedy reflected on the album's hopeful themes.
“It’s hard to stay in love with everyone,” he admitted. “But the fact that you even want to? That says a lot.”
"I think at some point, I was just like, what am I trying to override?" Tweedy continued.
"And twilight is such a beautiful word. It came into my mind probably because of that, because it's just a lovely word. But then, you know, it stuck because it had such a resonance with a lot of the things going on, this sense that if we're not a part of an empire that's dying, we're at least a part of a period where a lot of people feel that way. But it's also — there's a glimmer of hope in it because where that place where light and dark meets is beautiful."
Tweedy's fans would certainly agree.

Chase Just Changed Its Most Popular Travel Card — and Loyal Users Are Going to Have Mixed Feelings
Starting June 15, Chase is overhauling the Sapphire Preferred Card with a mix of new perks and benefit cuts that cardholders need to know about before the changes take effect. The credit card giant is making adjustments when it comes to reward points and how you can use them. While travelers may be excited about some of the changes, others may be disappointed to learn of one shift in particular.
Credit Card Changes to ExpectThe Sapphire Preferred carries a $95 annual fee — making the new $100 hotel credit alone nearly enough to offset the card's annual cost. Chase is making the following additions and changes to its Sapphire Preferred Card:
- 3 times the points on gas and EV charging, vacation stays on Airbnb, Vrbo, Plum Guide, HomeAway, Homestay.com, & Vacasa
- $100 annual hotel credit on prepaid hotels booked through Chase Travel (doubled from $50)
- $120 Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS credit every four years
- Complimentary year of Apple TV (must activate by Dec. 31, 2026)
- Emergency Evacuation and Transportation coverage (up to $100,000, plus $15,000 for repatriation of remains)

What Card Holders May ResentWhile many travelers will likely welcome these changes, some will not like that Chase is dropping its World of Hyatt transfer rates from 1:1 to 4:3. Under the new plan, every 1000 Chase points converts to only 750 Hyatt points. For people who convert their points regularly, this means Hyatt stays will cost more points when transferred from Chase.
Chase is also eliminating its 10 percent anniversary bonus. This was an annual perk for cardholders, offering a 10 percent bonus on their total annual purchases.

The Popularity of Travel Credit CardsThe changes from Chase come as more people are using their travel reward cards. According to Barclays U.S. Consumer Bank’s Travel Rewards and Loyalty Report, Americans with a rewards credit card are using their rewards to make trips feel more attainable. They’re also using their rewards to make smarter travel choices. Over three-quarters said they would be more likely to choose upgrades if they could use points or miles instead of cash.
Although many of these travel rewards cards come with annual fees, another survey found that 35% of Americans are willing to pay higher annual credit card fees in exchange for premium travel benefits.
’80s Rock Band Makes Special Announcement Amid 2026 Tour
Guns N’ Roses has announced its return to India with two special concerts this November, adding another major milestone to the legendary rock band's ongoing 2026 world tour.
The iconic hard rock group revealed the news through Instagram, telling fans: "India, we’re back for two special nights this November! Bengaluru on Nov. 14 & Guwahati on Nov. 17. Get on the Nightrain for first tickets now. General on sale tomorrow at 11am."
The concerts will take place at NICE Grounds in Bengaluru on Nov. 14 and Khanapara Ground in Guwahati on Nov. 17. The shows are being produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live as part of the band's Asia tour schedule.

The announcement comes as Guns N’ Roses continues an extensive global trek that has taken the band across Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand throughout 2026. The India dates follow the group's successful return to the country in 2025, which marked its first performances there in more than a decade.

Guns N’ Roses last visited India in May 2025, performing in Mumbai. The band previously played Bengaluru and Mumbai during its 2012 visit. Their concerts have consistently attracted fans eager to hear classic hits such as "Welcome to the Jungle," "Sweet Child O’ Mine," "November Rain” and "Paradise City."
The India announcement arrives during a busy period for the band. Just days ago, Guns N’ Roses surprised concertgoers in Gliwice, Poland by performing the Appetite for Destruction track "Think About You" for the first time in nearly 20 years.
According to concert records, the song had not been performed since December 2006. The performance marked one of several changes to the band's 2026 tour setlist.
The Poland concert also featured tour debuts of "My Michelle," "The General" and "Sorry." Bassist Duff McKagan additionally introduced a performance of The Damned's "Neat Neat Neat" during his featured segment.
At the same time, Guns N’ Roses is supporting the release of two new singles, "Nothin'" and "Atlas." The songs represent the band's first original recordings since 2023. While "Atlas" delivers a harder-driving rock sound, "Nothin'" takes a more reflective approach with prominent keyboards and guitar work.
The current touring lineup features Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Isaac Carpenter, and Melissa Reese.
Since reuniting key members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan in 2016, Guns N’ Roses has remained one of the most successful live acts in rock music. The band's celebrated Not in This Lifetime tour became one of the highest-grossing concert tours ever, while their 2024 world tour reportedly sold 1.3 million tickets.
Formed in Los Angeles in 1985, Guns N’ Roses has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and remains one of the most influential rock bands of its generation. Albums such as Appetite for Destruction, Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II helped define hard rock music, while songs including "Sweet Child O’ Mine," "Welcome to the Jungle" and "November Rain" continue to attract new listeners decades after their release.
With two more India dates now confirmed, fans in Bengaluru and Guwahati will soon have the opportunity to see one of rock music’s most enduring acts as its worldwide tour continues through the end of 2026.
1989 Ballad, the Supergroup’s Second-Best Hit, Became a Timeless Arena Anthem
Some tunes capture a moment. Others capture the end of one.
By the time Bad English released “Price of Love” in 1989, arena rock was already living on borrowed time. Within two years, the music landscape would shift dramatically, trading leather for flannel with Nirvana leading the grunge charge. But before the curtain fell, Bad English slipped in one of the era’s last, great arena anthems.
Released as the third single from their self-titled debut album, which arrived in June 1989, “Price of Glory” was the supergroup’s follow-up to their No. 1 hit, “When I See You Smile,” penned by legendary songwriter Diane Warren. Written by John Waite and Jonathan Cain, “Price of Glory” has been called band's "Journey-est track."
“It’s sort of a song about a vulnerable male,” Cain told Songfacts. “John Waite’s character was always the bad boy of rock. It was just a song that said, ‘Forgive me. I still love you, but I’ve got these bad habits, I go out and mess up stuff.’ Like so many men do.”
Musically, the track is a quintessential ’80s power ballad with soaring vocals, driving rhythm, and heavy emotion. And fans couldn’t get enough of it. Peaking at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, the ballad spent 19 weeks on the survey, boosted the album to No. 21 on the Billboard 200, and became the group’s second-biggest hit of all time.
Unfortunately, “of all time” really only covers a few years, as the short-lived supergroup hung up their capes in 1991. Composed of vocalist John Waite, keyboardist JonathanCain, drummer Deen Castronovo, bassist Ricky Phillips, and guitarist Neal Schon, Bad English was founded in 1987, bringing together elements of the 1970s’ Babys and the recently imploded Journey. Bad English called it quits after their second record, Backlash, because of creative differences and ego clashes.
“Well, [we] just couldn’t get on,” Waite told XS Rock, referring to Cain. “I mean, honestly, even when Journey was successful, he wasn’t that friendly. He was always leaving early and coming late. He was a very difficult person to get on with. And in the end, I just said, 'F— it.'"
Everyone remains active in the music scene today, though. Waite is continuing his solo career, regularly touring the country. Castronovo and Schon are on the road with Journey on their massive farewell tour right now. Cain recently left Journey to focus on his faith and solo projects. Phillips just wrapped a highly successful 20-year run with Styx and is still making music in the studio.

Why Rider Strong Took Back Saying 'Never' to 'Boy Meets World' Spin-Off
The next generation of Boy Meets Worldwas the focus of Girl Meets World. But there were some from the original cast who wasn't excited about appearing in the spin-off. Rider Strong explained why he changed his mind after publicly saying he would never appear in it.

"[Co-creator] Michael [Jacobs] took me and my wife out to dinner with his wife to woo me, and I had already written a blog publicly saying I would never do Girl Meets World," the actor said in a documentary called Doc Meets World, according to PEOPLE. "But what had happened is my brother and I were pitching projects as directors, and I realized I wanted to get into the DGA. I told Michael at that dinner, I just said, ‘I will come do some episodes if you let me direct,'" Strong explained.
Strong ultimately appeared in seven episodes in the three seasons of the new show. He directed 18 episodes of Girl Meets World and later directed a TV movie.
The actor once announced, "At this point, I have no official involvement" on his blog in 2012, according to CBS News. He wrote he was happy for Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, who were regulars on Girls Meets World as the parents of Riley (Rowan Blanchard).
"There might be a chance to see some of the 'BMW' cast in a guest spot, and I think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these years," he wrote.
The series revealed that Shawn prefers a nomadic lifestyle. His character married Katy (Cheryl Texiera) after Angela (Trina McGee) left him. Doc Meets World follows Strong, Fishel, and Will Friedle touring with their rewatch podcast.

The End of an Era? Hawaiian Airlines Drops Complimentary Meals on Most Mainland Flights
For decades, flying Hawaiian Airlines came with a small but meaningful perk that set it apart from nearly every other major U.S. carrier: a complimentary meal in economy class. Now, that is coming to an end.
Beginning July 1, Hawaiian Airlines will stop serving free meals in Main Cabin on most flights between Hawaii and the continental United States. Instead, passengers will be able to purchase meals from a new pre-order menu developed in partnership with Maui chef Sheldon Simeon, a James Beard Award finalist and two-time Top Chef finalist.
The change marks the end of an era for many frequent flyers on what has become widely considered the last major U.S. airline still offering complimentary meals in economy class on domestic long-haul routes.
While the airline is framing the move as an upgrade to its onboard dining experience, some travelers are lamenting the loss of free meals.
Hawaiian Airlines Main Cabin menu is getting an upgradeUnder the new system, Main Cabin passengers on most mainland routes can pre-order meals up to two weeks before departure and as late as 20 hours before takeoff through the airline's website or app.
The new menu features Hawaii-inspired dishes created by Chef Simeon, whose Maui restaurants, Tin Roof and Tiffany's, have earned significant followings. Travelers can choose from options including Banana Pancakes, Crispy Mochiko Chicken and Garlic Noodles, and Sweet and Tangy Tender Greens.
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and child meals are also available on most international flights by request, at least 48 hours prior to the flight.
"For me, food is about sharing where you're from and the people who shaped you," Chef Simeon said in a press release. "This menu is inspired by the flavors I grew up with in Hawai‘i — comforting, familiar, and full of heart. I'm excited to bring those dishes onboard so guests can experience a true taste of home, wherever they're headed."
In announcing the change, Hawaiian Airlines has also promoted the new program as delivering a fresh, specially curated menu intended to provide a stronger taste of Hawaii onboard.
"At Hawaiian Airlines, food has always been a core expression of our Hawaiian hospitality — our special way of welcoming guests onboard and inviting them into our island home," Hawaiian Airlines Managing Director of Marketing, Alisa Onishi, said in the press release. "We designed our new Main Cabin meal program based on guest preference for more control and choice, while allowing us to deliver food that better reflects the richness of Hawaiʻi’s culinary traditions."
The airline has also explained that the pre-order model allows for greater variety than the standard meal previously offered to all passengers. According to Onishi, the shift enables the carrier to offer "a broader menu that reflects how [the airline's] guests want to dine today."
Prices for meals range from $11.99 to $16.99. However, complimentary snacks will remain available, and passengers flying between Honolulu and New York's JFK Airport will continue to receive a free meal in Main Cabin because of the route's length. International and interisland flights are also unaffected.

'90s Country Star Vince Gill Mourns the Loss of a 'Legendary Voice'
Vince Gill is joining the rest of the country music community in saying goodbye to beloved Grand Ole Opry announcer and longtime country radio personality, Bill Cody.
Cody, who spent over 30 years working for WSM radio and hosted the station's popular morning show, "Coffee, Country and Cody," died on Tuesday, June 9 after having been hospitalized and in critical condition for a number of weeks. He was 67.
Cody's death was confirmed on Tuesday, and tributes from some of country music's biggest stars have been pouring in ever since, including a solemn statement from Gill uploaded to Instagram on Wednesday, June 10.
Posted alongside a throwback photo of Gill visiting Cody's radio show back in the day, the Instagram caption on Gill's post read: "Vince and the entire country community are mourning the loss of @WSMRadio and @Opry legendary voice, Bill Cody."
"So many memories, good times, and great conversations about music," the statement continued. "He will be greatly missed!"
