Hollywood's Ultimate Blonde Bombshell Has an Unexpected Connection to a New Movie
Dakota Johnson is stepping into the shoes of one of Hollywood's greatest icons in the upcoming film Flesh Impact.
It turns out the casting has a surprising real-life connection.
After the first images of Johnson, 36, portraying Marilyn Monroe were released, new genealogy research from family history platform MyHeritage revealed that the actresses are actually related. According to the research, Johnson is Monroe's ninth cousin, three times removed.
Their shared ancestry dates back to Richard and Charity Tydings, English settlers who arrived in colonial Maryland in the mid-1600s and were among the earliest British colonists in what are now Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties.
The family tree later split through the couple's daughters: Monroe descends from their eldest daughter, Pretitia Tydings, while Johnson and her father, actor Don Johnson, descend from the youngest daughter, Mary Tydings.
"With a new film bringing Marilyn Monroe back into the spotlight, our research team wanted to see whether there was a deeper family connection," Naama Lanski, a researcher at MyHeritage, said.
"Discovering that Dakota Johnson and Marilyn Monroe are related turns the casting into a real-life family story."
The film Flesh Impact imagines an alternate reality in which Monroe survived to celebrate her 100th birthday, with Johnson portraying the screen legend at the height of her 1950s fame.
MyHeritage's research also uncovered notable figures in both actresses' family histories. Monroe's maternal line includes pioneering Kentucky frontiersman John Hogan, who reportedly joined scouting expeditions with Daniel Boone and helped establish an early ferry across the Kentucky River.
Johnson's paternal lineage traces back to Captain Robert Samuel Brashear, an early American settler recognized among the First Families of Tennessee.

However, one nail pro wants you to stop wearing pale pink on your fingernails, and she recently told Parade why "safe" nail colors can actually make mature hands look older.
We chatted with Vicki Ornella, a manicurist and global educator at Salon Perfect, and asked her to explain why women over 50 should consider ditching pale pinks next time they stop by the salon for a manicure.
Since pale pink isn't the only color that can potentially age your hands, Ornella reveals a few more shades that mature women should consider avoiding.

Why 'Safe' Pale Pink Nail Polish Can Age Mature HandsPale pink nail polish is pretty, and it's a nice neutral hue. However, it can sometimes age hands.
"Pale pinks have cool undertones that can actually draw attention to blue veins, age spots and any yellowing in the nail bed," Ornella tells Parade.
As a result, you could be unintentionally making your hands look older when you choose this soft polish color.

3 Nail Colors That Keep Mature Hands Looking YouthfulIf you decide to avoid pale pinks, Ornella says the following colors have "enough warmth and pigment to complement mature skin tones instead of washing them out."
"These shades flatter the skin by softening the appearance of veins and age spots rather than highlighting them," she tells Parade.

"A rich, dark berry gives mature hands a little richness and depth without looking harsh. It draws the eye to the color of the polish itself rather than the hand, which is really the goal with any of these shades," Ornella says.

"A bright coral or rich pink adds a youthful pop of color that still flatters mature skin because of its warmth. It's a fun way to feel a little more playful without straying into shades that work against you," Ornella says.

"Warm nudes are one of my go-to picks because they mimic the natural nail bed but with a healthier, shinier and overall more even tone. They make the whole hand look put together without looking like you're trying too hard," Ornella says.

Similar to nail polish colors, nail shapes also have the power to flatter your hands.
"The most flattering nail shapes for aging fingers and hands are oval and square oval (sometimes called squoval). Both shapes elongate the finger and create a softer, more polished line than a blunt square or overly pointed shape would," Ornella says.

3 More 'Worst' Nail Polish Colors for Mature HandsAside from pale pink, there are a few other colors that have a tendency of aging your hands if you're over 50.
1. Black"Black can look beautiful for certain occasions, but on mature hands it can sometimes create too much contrast against the skin, making fine lines, veins and texture appear more noticeable," Ornella says. "If you love a darker manicure, a rich berry or deep burgundy offers the same sophistication with a much softer, more flattering effect."
2. Cool-toned greys"Cool greys can leave mature hands looking washed out since they don't add warmth back into the complexion. Warmer greige (gray-beige) or taupe shades create a much healthier, more polished appearance while still giving you that chic neutral manicure," Ornella says.
3. Cool-toned purples"Very cool-toned purples, particularly lighter lavenders and blue-based violets, can make mature skin appear dull because they emphasize cooler undertones in the hands. If you enjoy purple shades, opt for warmer plum or berry tones instead, which add richness and warmth," Ornella says.

Recall Issued for Blueberries, Mixed Berries Due to E. Coli Risk
A notice published by the Food and Drug Administration indicates that all lots of GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries and Whole Mixed Berries have been recalled by Publix because they may be contaminated with Escherichia coli.

According to the notice on the federal agency’s website, “as of the end of June 2026, Publix immediately conducted an internal stop sale of frozen GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries and Whole Mixed Berries. These products remain unavailable for sale.”
The recalled berries were distributed to Publix retail stores in eight states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, and can be identified via the following markers:
- GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries, 10-ounce, UPC 41415-06453
- GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries, 48-ounce, UPC 41415-12053

Escherichia coli, or E. coli, “can cause illness characterized by severe stomach cramps, diarrhea (which may be bloody) and vomiting,” notes the recall notice. Though most healthy individuals recover from infection within a week, young children, older adults, and individuals with weakened immune systems may suffer more serious complications such as hemolytic uremic syndrome.
According to the Mayo Clinic, the syndrome “is a condition that can happen when small blood vessels become damaged and inflamed. This damage can cause clots to form in the vessels all through the body,” and “can lead to kidney failure, which can be life-threatening.”

1995 Film Named One of 'Best Comedies Ever' Returning 31 Years Later
Clueless is getting a sequel!
The 1995 comedy is known for the main character’s iconic yellow plaid Dolce & Gabbana outfit, her legendary computer-generated closet, and phrases like “As if!” is making its return with help from Paramount+.
Clueless has become a cult classic. It grossed over $56 million worldwide with an approximate production budget of $12 million. It has only grown in popularity since its initial release. It was named one of Marie Claire's “Best Comedy Movies Ever.”
The film was written and directed by AmyHeckerling. It starred AliciaSilverstone, StaceyDash, BrittanyMurphy, PaulRudd, and DonaldFaison. Silverstone will reprise her role as the lead, Cher Horowitz.
The sequel will be adapted as a television series. Paramount+ has ordered six episodes that will be set in the modern day.
According to Variety, the logline reads, “Beloved Beverly Hills icon Cher Horowitz (Silverstone) has figured out a lot: She’s successful in business and has mastered motherhood—that is, until her daughter’s high school years, and Cher finds that parenting a teenager makes her feel ‘clueless’ all over again.”
The project was originally being developed by Peacock in 2025, but the streamer decided to not continue with the series as of April 2026. Paramount+ recently picked up the series with plans to begin production in Los Angeles in 2027.
This change makes sense as the 1995 film was released by Paramount Pictures. The project is now able to be an in-house production rather than going to a competitor.

A Shocking Menopausal InjuryThe country singer has been honest about the fact that when she first entered menopause, she didn't understand the changes her body was going through. In 2019, she had to be carried off stage after tearing two muscles, which she later realized was partly due to menopause.
"I wasn’t drinking enough water, I was not eating enough protein, and I was really going through a raging period of menopause," she explained. "I was just getting this bloat that I didn’t understand."
Due to a decline in estrogen, the risk of tearing muscles and tendons increases with menopause. According to UCLA Health, muscle mass and strength also drop, so it's recommended that women strength-train and make sure they're getting enough protein to counteract it.
Adapting and Thriving at 60After struggling with the changes her body was going through, Twain, 60, is now more gentle with her body, enjoying "every day for what it is."
"I’m just learning every phase that I go through, and I adapt," she said. "I can’t play tennis like a maniac the way I used to in my 30s because I’m going to break my body. My wrist started to go because I planted so many trees in my youth, and I’ve got this big carpal lump. The first thing to go for me in tennis was my backhand. So I’m like, 'It’s time to take on the double-handed backhand.' And it’s more wicked than my one-handed backhand!"
John Stamos Shares the Cringe-Worthy Comment He Made to Elizabeth Taylor on the 'General Hospital' Set
BeforeJohn Stamos became Uncle Jessie on Full House, he first starred on General Hospital during his early years, and recalls committing a faux pas with Elizabeth Taylor.
There's no denying that a lot of young actors who have made it big got their start in a soap opera. It's a chance to hone their skills and learn a thing or two, with Stamos having gotten recognition for his contract role as Blackie Perrish from 1982 to 1984. It's safe to say the role was a breakout success, as it landed him a nomination for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
Looking back at his time on General Hospital, Stamos recalls having accidentally used a new trick he learned on Taylor that ultimately landed as an insult. Taylor was also known for having appeared on the soap opera for three episodes as Helena Cassadine.
According to the Full House star, Taylor visited the set one day as a fan, and Stamos just couldn't get the emotions right for his scene. Unable to shed a tear, he used a line he learned from "an older actor" to buy him some time.
“He’d screw up his lines, he’d go, ‘Someone’s in my eyeline!’ Which I didn’t know what that meant,” Stamos recalled on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Months later, I was doing a scene and my mom was dying in the scene and I couldn’t cry.”
A young Stamos had the idea in mind when he heard a popping noise off-camera. He had hoped to use the "eyeline bit" to cut the take. Unknown to him, the bit would work, but he had no idea it would end up disrespecting Taylor.
“Finally, I kind of see it in the shadow,” he said. “Some woman was — they were setting up a direction, and I said, ‘Get that old woman out of my eyeline!’ And it was Elizabeth Taylor.”
Taylor has never spoken of the incident before, with Stamos not divulging what happened next after calling the Hollywood starlet an "old woman." After her role on General Hospital, Taylor was in several TV works, including Between Friends, Hotel, and North and South.
During his interview, Stamos also recalled how the late Sammy Davis Jr. was responsible for him playing the drums on the soap opera. The soap opera "weren’t quite taking requests" concerning him playing the drums until Davis Jr. improved their scene together and led Stamos to play on TV.

Trace Adkins has one lingering question about his wedding day—and it involves his buddy Blake Shelton.
During an appearance on Theo Von's podcast on Tuesday, July 28, Adkins joked that because his longtime friend officiated the ceremony, there's still a tiny bit of uncertainty surrounding the paperwork.
"Blake married us, so we're not 100 percent sure if we're actually really married, but I think we are," Adkins, 64, said while raising his eyebrow.
The lighthearted comment is nothing new for the pair, who have spent decades poking fun at each other.
Adkins and actress Victoria Pratt tied the knot in October 2019 during an intimate ceremony at Maison Montegut in New Orleans' French Quarter. Shelton served as the officiant, standing between the couple as they exchanged vows. The wedding marked Adkins' fourth marriage after the pair met while working on the 2014 film The Virginian.
Although Adkins didn't elaborate on whether there was ever any real confusion about the legality of the ceremony, his tongue-in-cheek remark made Shelton the punchline.

Just last month, Shelton jokingly called out Adkins and his wife on Instagram after celebrating his 50th birthday, claiming his friend had forgotten to send birthday wishes.
"I just wanted to say thank you for all the birthday wishes yesterday," Shelton wrote on his Instagram Stories. "Also @traceadkins is the only one of my friends who didn't wish me a happy birthday. And his wife Victoria. Trace and Victoria did NOT wish me a happy birthday."
Of course, it's not all jokes between the longtime friends. Earlier this year, Adkins wrote a heartfelt letter honoring Shelton during a Grand Ole Opry appearance, saying, "Blake and I have been friends for almost 25 years. I think of him as more of a brother than a friend." Adkins even gave Shelton another nod for officiating his wedding, adding, "He even officiated at Victoria and my wedding. I got him to include in our vows that I never have to eat salmon. Now that is friendship."

The Clever Concealer Trick a Celebrity Makeup Artist Swears ByEldridge's technique is called "pinpoint concealing," a targeted, less-is-more method that delivers better coverage with less product and virtually no creasing.
Instead of starting with a heavy concealer and blending outward, she begins with a lighter coverage foundation—applied sparingly in a light layer all over to even the skin tone. Then comes the precision work.
"Use a small brush and a concealer with intense coverage to address any areas that you think still need it," she tells Parade. "Pop the concealer directly on top of the blemish and lightly buff and blend edges to ensure a seamless finish—I think of it like digital retouching."
By evening out the skin with a lighter formula first, you reduce how much concealer you need to apply to any single spot. Less product means less to settle into fine lines, less to crease, less to catch in texture. The result is coverage that looks like skin rather than makeup sitting on top of it.
To set, "use a little translucent setting powder on a fluffy eyeshadow brush, and only powder over the area where you want to set the concealer or dispel shine—'pinpoint powdering!'" she says.

Why 'pinpoint powdering' works so well on mature skinAll-over powder is one of the most common concealer mistakes on mature skin—it flattens the complexion, settles into lines and strips the face of the natural luminosity that makes skin look healthy. Eldridge's solution is to treat powder the same way she treats concealer: with precision.
Using a small, fluffy brush, a light touch and powder only where it's actually needed, rather than dusted across the entire face, helps the complexion to stay natural. This approach almost always looks better on mature skin than a fully powdered finish.

Why Does Concealer Crease and Cake on Mature Skin?Mature skin is drier, thinner and loses moisture faster, and most concealers are formulated without accounting for that. Eldridge recommends lightweight formulas "that don't settle into fine lines and accentuate them," she says.

How To Choose the Right Concealer for Mature Skin"Concealer for mature skin will look different for everyone," Eldridge says. Some people find their skin drier as they age; others who always had normal skin suddenly find themselves more oily. Some develop rosacea. The formula that works is the one that fits your skin, now not the skin you had ten years ago.
How to choose the right concealer formulaThat being said, she has some go-to tips.
"If you have dry skin, look for creams or liquids that are more hydrating—the formulas that even when they set down won't become dry or very matte," Eldridge tells Parade.
Avoid overly matte or full-coverage formulas that tend to cling to dry patches and emphasize texture rather than smooth it.

How to choose the right shadeShade selection is more nuanced than most people realize—and Eldridge's approach varies depending on where on the face you're concealing.
"For under the eyes, avoid choosing a concealer that's too light," she says. "If you have blue or blue-red dark circles, a peach toned concealer is great. If your under-eye area is more pigmented, you may benefit from a slightly brighter concealer."
For blemishes, redness or other areas on the rest of the face, the goal is a seamless match. "Choose a shade that matches your skin tone as closely as possible," she explains. "The goal is for the concealer to blend seamlessly into your complexion so you can't see where it starts or finishes."
She advises that one concealer may not cover everything.
"If you have noticeable dark circles, it's often worth using a second shade under the eyes that's tailored to the specific color and depth of the darkness for the most natural-looking result," she says.

1982 Film Inspired by a Novella Tops New Ranking of 'Perfect' Horror Movies
Most horror fans will agree that the top films from the spooky genre don't only focus on scaring viewers. Now, obviously, horror movies do need to provide some scares. However, the impactful ones also tend to have well-crafted scripts with unique monsters and disturbing, yet purposeful imagery that cleverly represent real-life evils.
The publication Collider recently released a ranking of the "10 horror movies that are perfect from beginning to end," which showcased several critically acclaimed films that instill terror. According to Collider, some of the most perfect horror movies include 1980's The Shining, 1975's Jaws, Obsession from 2025, The Silence of the Lambs released in 1991, and 1979's Alien. Collider put the John Carpenter-directed The Thing, released in 1982 and inspired by the 1938 novella Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell, at the top of the list.
The Thing, starring Kurt Russell, who plays R. J. "Mac" MacReady, has a score of 85 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
John Carpenter Discussed the Creation of the Horrific Creature in 'The Thing'While introducing a 70mm screening of The Thing in 2008 for the National Science and Media Museum, Carpenter noted that his 1982 film wasn't the first big-screen take on Who Goes There?. He noted that 1951's The Thing from Another World, which he said he was a fan of, also used Campbell's novella as inspiration. The filmmaker said, however, that The Thing is a closer adaptation to Campbell's text.
"I thought if we just ignore the first movie and ignore sort of the science fiction tropes of the time, and the dated nature of it, and go for a more literal reading of the novella, I thought we'd be in better shape," said Carpenter.
Carpenter also shared that fans can thank the film's special effects artist, Rob Bottin, for The Thing's titular horrific creator.
"There's this cliché about it's always better never to show the face of the devil. Never show the monster. Always suggest it. And I was struggling with that until I came on Rob Bottin, who did the special effects, and he suggested the kind of secret of the movie, which was the Thing can look like anything. It doesn't have to look like one creature. It could look like every life form it's imitated throughout the universe because it's been on its travels for a long, long time," said Carpenter while speaking about the film.
John Legend To Play 1950s Calypso Singer in Bill Condon’s Upcoming Apartheid-Era Biopic
John Legend is set to star in the upcoming drama The Road Home as American singer, actor and civil rights activist Harry Belafonte. The Bill Condon-directed film will follow South African jazz musicians Hugh Masekela and Miriam “Mama Africa” Makeba on their Apartheid-era Graceland tour with Paul Simon.
The film is a dramatization of the lives of the real-life musicians who find themselves torn between two worlds. Set in the late 1980s, it will follow Masekela after fierce anti-Apartheid advocate Archbishop Trevor Huddleston (played by Guy Pearce), launches a boycott against Paul Simon (South African-born actor-musician Johnny Flynn), because of Graceland.

Huddleston's claims Paul Simon violated the United Nations’ Cultural Boycott with his township music-inspired album. In response, Masekela reunited with Makeba to create the Graceland band in an effort to bring the voice of South Africa to the world.
Wicked actor Cynthia Eribo will star as Makeba, while actor and producer Thabo Rametsi will play Hugh Masekela.
“I was honored to know Mr. Belafonte as my friend, mentor and collaborator in the struggle for justice,” John Legend said, per Variety. “He was an incredible human being who lived a monumental, revolutionary life. He was the epitome of an artist and activist who set a standard for me and so many others who stand on his shoulders. I count it a privilege to be entrusted with the role of Harry Belafonte in this special film.”
In 2008, Legend played Marcus Hooks in Soul Men and Keith in La La Land. He also played the lead role in Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert in 2018, which earned him an Emmy nomination.
Bill Condon is no stranger to music-themed projects, having directed Dreamgirls, Beauty and the Beast, and 2025's Kiss of the Spider Woman with Jennifer Lopez. He also worked on Chicago and The Greatest Showman as a writer.

1977 Rock Song, Written on a Piece of Newspaper, Became a Hit Power Ballad
A track about burning desire became one of Neil Young's unforgettable hits in 1977, with the singer having penned "Like a Hurricane" during a crazy night out and when he couldn't even talk.
"Like a Hurricane" follows the same repertoire as some of Young's classics. Written on the fly in a spontaneous moment that would end up becoming a fan-favorite with a story to tell. While released in August 1977, the track was created years earlier in the summer of 1975 as Young was having the time of his life out with friends.
Young and his friends, including his neighbor Taylor Phelps, were bar-hopping in La Honda, California. At the time, the musician was recovering from vocal surgery and was ordered to be on vocal rest. That didn't stop Young from having a good time, and at the end of the night, they all ventured to a local scenic spot to do drugs.
"We were all really high, fucked up,” Young told Uncut. "Been out partying. I wrote it when I couldn't sing. I was on voice rest. It was nuts – I was whistling it. I wrote a lot of songs when I couldn't talk."
"Oh Well" was penned in that very moment on a piece of newspaper in the back of a 1950 DeSoto Suburban. The track is widely considered a slow-burn love song, and, according to SongFacts, wasn't about a particular girl. Young had broken up with actor Carrie Snodgress and still hadn't met his future wife.
"Neil, Jim Russell, David Cline and I went to Venturi's in La Honda. We were really f--ked up. Neil had this amazing intense attraction to this particular woman named Gail - it didn't happen, he didn't go home with her. We go back to the ranch and Neil started playing. Young was completely possessed, pacing around the room, hunched over a Stringman keyboard pounding out the song," explained Phelps in Young's biography Shakey by Jimmy McDonough.
The keyboard was mounted in an old pump organ in his front room, with Young revealing he developed the melody in five minutes. He also couldn't stop playing because of how wired he was from the drugs. The first few lines of the song were introduced to his Band Crazy Horse, but they would struggle with developing it for 10 days while on the ranch.
Crazy Horse guitarist Poncho Sampedro explained that it simply wasn't working, with no room for a solo and Young disliking the guitar rhythm. One day, Sampedro started fiddling with the Stringman and "just playing the chords simply" when it struck inspiration for Young.
"If you listen to the take on the record, there's no beginning, no count-off, it just goes woom! They just turned on the machines when they heard us playing again, 'cause we were done for the day. Neil goes, 'Yeah, I think that's how it goes. Just like that.' And that was the take. That's the only time we ever played it that way," he explained.
The song's bridge was taken from Del Shannon's 1961 song "Runaway," with the entire track lasting over eight minutes on the album version. "Oh Well" never entered the charts, as it was only released as part of the album American Stars 'n Bars.

Grand Ole Opry's First-Ever Female Announcer Lands Major New Role
One of country music's most recognizable voices is taking on a major new challenge.
Kelly Sutton, the first-ever female announcer in Grand Ole Opry history, has been named host of "The Kelly Sutton Show," a new weekday morning program on WSM Radio beginning Aug. 10. The live show will air weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. CT, bringing listeners country music news, artist interviews, behind-the-scenes stories and audience interaction.
The announcement marks another milestone for Sutton, who made history when she became the first woman to serve as an official Grand Ole Opry announcer. Over the past five years, she has also become a familiar voice to WSM listeners as co-host of "Coffee, Country & Cody" alongside the late broadcasting legend Bill Cody.
"I am truly honored to be entrusted with carrying on the incredible legacy of WSM Radio," Sutton said in a statement.
"Being part of 'Coffee, Country & Cody' for the past five years has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. Bill Cody was so much more than a coworker, he was a dear friend, a mentor, and someone who helped shape both my career and my love for this audience."
Longtime broadcaster Cody died on June 10 at the age of just 67.

Longtime WSM personality and Grand Ole Opry host Charlie Mattos will join Sutton as producer and co-host, alongside WSM Studio Director Annie Ney. WSM personality Amber Anderson will also contribute regularly, and portions of the program will be streamed across WSM's social media channels.
WSM General Manager Eric Marcum said Sutton's deep ties to the country music community made her the natural choice to lead the station's new flagship morning show.
"Kelly's personality, her passion for the music community, and the genuine relationships she's built with artists and fans is exactly what our listeners connect with," Marcum said. "'The Kelly Sutton Show' will carry on the authentic Nashville storytelling that have been at the heart of WSM and the Grand Ole Opry for more than 100 years."
Beyond her work with WSM and the Grand Ole Opry, Sutton will continue hosting the nationally syndicated "Y'all Access with Kelly Sutton," Amazon Music's "Country Heat Weekly" podcast and "The Nashville Show" on Absolute Radio Country in the United Kingdom.

Henry Winkler Recalls the ‘Happy Days’ Actor Who Let Fame Go to His Head
For decades, Henry Winkler has been known as one of Hollywood's nicest actors. But even he had his limits—especially during the height of his Happy Days fame as Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli in the 1970s and early 1980s.
In his 2023 memoir Being Henry…The Fonz and Beyond, Winkler shared a story of a fellow cast member who started to let fame go to his head. Winkler described the co-star as “a kid who joined the cast during the late seasons of the show.”
“And I won't say his name, but he had a moment,” Winkler added.
Winkler revealed that the actor started to get “kind of popular” and that it was great for the show. But when the new TV star started to get fan mail—and brag about it—that wasn’t as great.
“He began to flaunt his fan mail and started to talk about it a lot on the sound stage,” Winkler shared, noting that he took the actor aside and nicely warned him not to flaunt his mail in front of the ensemble cast.
“He kept doing it anyway, and I'm not saying it was because of that, but it wasn't long before his character got written out of Happy Days,” Winkler noted.
In July 2026, Winkler appeared on a Happy Days panel with co-stars Anson Williams and Don Most at Fanboy Expo and let slip the actor referenced in his book.
“One guy came on as a guest star, and then he was brought back a few times, and he would mention his fan mail, and I said, ‘You don't want to talk to me about fan mail, I get 50,000 letters a week,'" Winkler shared. "And I said, ‘We don't talk about that on the set. We are all here as one.’ And he kept doing it, and he was an a--back.”

When Most (Ralph Malph on Happy Days) admitted he didn’t remember who the actor was, Winkler told him, “He played Eugene. …Good reason you don't remember.”
While Winkler didn't mention the actor by name, the recurring character of Eugene Belvin was played byDenis Mandel in seasons 8 and 9 of Happy Days. Mandel appeared in 10 episodes of the ABCsitcom as the nerdy but handsome Jefferson High School student from 1980 to 1982 before seemingly stepping away from acting in the early ‘90s.
Scott Bernstein, who played Mandel’s character's twin brother Melvin Belvin, continued to appear on Happy Days through Season 10.

For years, fans speculated about who Winkler had been talking about with the “fan mail” story. In a Reddit thread, some fans wondered if it was Danny Butch, the young actor who played Fonzie’s nephew Spike in the early seasons of Happy Days and then disappeared without explanation.
“He was later replaced with Chachi (Scott Baio), who also received a ton of fan mail, but didn’t brag about it,” one fan noted.
In his book, Winkler wrote that Baio, who played Fonzie’s cousin Chachi Arcola, never got a big head on the Happy Days set.
