Nancy Guthrie Update: Retired FBI Agent Issues 'Caution' Over Hair DNA Sample
Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing 10 weeks after she was abducted from Tucson, Ariz.—and a retired FBI agent just issued "caution" over a hair DNA sample.
On April 16, ABC News reported that FBI received DNA evidence in the form a hair sample from the 84-year-old’s home. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) initially sent it to a private lab in Florida. However, the FBI is now reportedly using new technology for advanced analysis of the genetic material.
Although the DNA development seemings promising, retired FBI special agent Jennifer Coffindaffer warned those following the case that it could be a dead end.
After pointing out that investigators seem to have multiple DNA samples, she shared, " I also want to caution everybody that even though that they have this hair—for sure, we know, a hair now—that they can't seem to attribute to anybody that would have formally been in there. Which I would believe they ruled out the family members, they ruled Nancy out, they ruled out the housekeeper, people that would have been in that house. I caution everybody because it's good news, but I'm sort of optimistically very cautious."
Coffindaffer explained, "Because just think in 50 years that she's lived there, all the people that could have been in that house. That a hair could have fallen."

— Jennifer Coffindaffer (@CoffindafferFBI) April 17, 2026The former FBI agent also pointed out that the DNA sample "would have been a hair that was without the root because if it was with the root, they would have had this hair attributed to somebody very long ago."
Although it's possible for the FBI make a DNA profile from a rootless hair, Coffindaffer said "it's going to take time."
Back in February, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos echoed this sentiment when he shared that DNA evidence collected from Nancy’s home was “mixed." This means it contained genetic material from more than one person.
“Our lab tells us that there are challenges with it,” Nanos explained, per Fox News. “The technology is moving so fast and in such a frenzy that they think some of this stuff will resolve itself just in a matter of weeks, months, or maybe a year.”
On Jan. 31, Nancy was last seen at her Tucson home. The PCSD launched it search on Feb. 1, with the FBI joining in soon afterward. As of writing, no suspect has been named, despite Savannah offering a $1 million reward.

Popular European City Is Flirting With Imposing a Tourist Tax— But Even Locals Think It's B.S.
Galway is the kind of place travelers fall for quickly. Music spills out of pubs onto narrow streets. Buskers line Shop Street with fiddles and guitars. The Atlantic breeze rolls in from Galway Bay, carrying that unmistakable Irish mix of sea air and storytelling. It is a city that feels alive in a way that is hard to manufacture.
But recently, Galway has found itself at the center of a debate about tourism and money. The New York Post reports city officials are considering a tourist tax on overnight visitors, a proposal that has sparked heated discussion among residents, politicians, and business owners. While the fee itself would be relatively small, the reaction has been anything but. Some locals believe the idea could support the city’s infrastructure. Others say it risks hurting the very tourism industry that keeps Galway thriving.
Why Galway Is Considering a Tourist TaxThe proposal currently under discussion would introduce a modest nightly charge for tourists staying in hotels or short-term rentals. Early estimates suggest the fee could range from roughly $1.10 to $2.20 per person per night, potentially generating more than $2 million annually for the city.
City officials say the funds would support services that benefit both visitors and residents. These include street cleaning, tourism infrastructure, public spaces, and cultural events that make Galway attractive to travelers in the first place.
There is also a practical reason behind the proposal. Galway receives around 2.4 million visitors each year, placing pressure on city services that were originally designed for a much smaller population.
Per the New York Post, tourism leaders argue that a small visitor levy could help share the cost of maintaining the city between residents and the travelers who enjoy it. In fact, tourism taxes are already common across Europe, with most EU countries charging some form of visitor fee to help fund tourism management.
Why Some Locals Say the Tourist Tax Is a Bad IdeaDespite the potential revenue, the proposal has met strong resistance from some local voices. Critics worry the tax could discourage visitors or create the impression that Galway is becoming expensive or unwelcoming.
Several local figures have openly criticized the plan. Former Galway mayor Eddie Hoare warned that introducing a tourist tax could send the wrong message to visitors. Meanwhile, Irish entrepreneur Pat McDonagh called the idea “ridiculous,” arguing it could damage the city’s reputation, as reported by the New York Post.
Others point out that tourism numbers can fluctuate, making it risky to rely on a tax tied directly to visitor volume. If tourism slows during an economic downturn or off-season, city budgets could feel the impact.

What Travelers Should Know About Tourist Taxes in EuropeFor travelers who regularly explore Europe, tourist taxes are nothing new. Many destinations quietly include a small nightly fee in hotel bills to help support tourism services.
Common examples include:
- Paris: A nightly fee based on hotel category
- Amsterdam: A percentage of accommodation costs
- Venice: A visitor fee aimed at managing crowds in the historic center
These charges often go toward maintaining public spaces, protecting historic districts, or improving infrastructure used by visitors. Tourism economists note that the fees are usually small but collectively generate substantial revenue for cities managing heavy visitor traffic. Ireland has traditionally avoided these kinds of taxes, which is part of why Galway’s proposal has generated so much attention.
Don't miss a beat—subscribe now for trending travel updates and destination guides.
Experiencing Galway Beyond the DebateWhile politicians debate taxes and tourism policy, the Galway travelers know and love has not changed. It remains one of Ireland’s most charismatic cities. The city’s cultural identity runs deep. Galway hosts events such as the Galway International Arts Festival and the Galway Oyster Festival, both of which attract visitors from around the world. These events transform the city into a lively gathering place filled with music, art, and conversation.
Beyond the city itself, Galway also serves as a gateway to some of Ireland’s most dramatic landscapes. Travelers often use it as a base to explore Connemara, the Aran Islands, and the windswept beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way.
Galway’s debate over a tourist tax reflects a broader global conversation about the future of travel. Cities that depend on tourism increasingly face a difficult balancing act. They must welcome visitors while protecting local infrastructure and quality of life. For travelers, the takeaway is simple. The places we love to visit are constantly evolving. Decisions about tourism policy, infrastructure, and local life quietly shape the experiences waiting for us when we arrive.
2007 Hit Film Ranked Among ‘Best Horror Movies of All Time’ Took 7 Days to Launch
For decades, horror films have kept audiences on the edge of their seats. Certain films were so terrifying upon release that they remain staples of cinematic conversation today.
In 2025, Paste ranked the 100 best horror films, compiling a list of the scariest movies ever created in the genre. Ranked alongside cult classics such as Eduardo Sánchez and Daniel Myrick's 1999 film The Blair Witch Project at No. 100 and Tony Maylam's 1981 film The Burning at No. 98, director Oren Peli secured the No. 94 spot with his 2007 film, Paranormal Activity.
Released in select theaters on September 25, 2009, Paranormal Activity quickly became a global phenomenon. Despite its 2009 theatrical debut, the movie was originally filmed in 2007 over the course of seven days with a micro-budget of only $15,000. Following its limited release, word of mouth traveled fast, transitioning the film from midnight-only screenings to a prime-time box office hit.
TV host Gerrad Hall and producer Jason Blum participate in a Q&A session following the Film Independent's Spirit Awards screening of 'Paranormal Activity' at Regal 14 at LA Live Downtown on January 29, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Angela Weiss/WireImage)Due to the film's high demand and low production costs, Paranormal Activity grossed over $193 million worldwide, marking it one of the most profitable films in history. Aside from its commercial success, the film also collected several notable accolades, including a Teen Choice Award, a Screamfest Horror Film Festival Award, a MTV Movie Award nomination and an Independent Spirit Award nomination.
The found-footage horror movie follows a young couple, Katie and Micah, as they move into a suburban home in San Diego, California. Tormented by a demon that has haunted Katie since childhood, the pair set up cameras throughout the house to document the increasingly violent paranormal activity occurring at night.
The film's ability to capture intimate perspectives through handheld camera work created an extraordinarily eerie watching experience. Nearly two decades after its original production, Paranormal Activity remains highly watched and praised film, affirming its longevity as an enduring horror classic.

1979 Timeless Classic Was a No. 1 Hit 47 Years Ago Today
In 1979, Kenny Rogers and Dottie West delivered a duet that would become one of country music's most beloved love songs.
Their version of "All I Ever Need Is You" climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs, marking a major milestone for the pair and solidifying their status as one of country's most iconic duos.
The song was originally written by Jimmy Holiday and Eddie Reeves, and first recorded by Sonny & Cher in the early 1970s. While earlier versions found success, Rogers and West's rendition brought a new level of warmth and emotional depth that resonated strongly with country audiences, sending it straight to the top of the charts for the first time.
Built around a simple yet powerful message of devotion, the song celebrates a love that endures through life's ups and downs. Rogers' smooth delivery paired with West's expressive vocals created a chemistry that felt both authentic and deeply moving, helping the track connect with listeners.
"I take great pride in not writing hits," Rodgers told NPR. "I write from time to time, but I think great writers have a need to write, and I don't really have that need. I can write if someone sits me down and says, 'Hey let's write a song about this.' I can contribute, and I can carry my weight."
The duet was part of a string of successful collaborations between the two artists, whose partnership produced multiple hits and helped define country music in the late 1970s. Their ability to tell a story through song made them stand out, and "All I Ever Need Is You" remains one of their most memorable recordings.
"I think that to work with her was a great gift for me," Rogers told Country Stars Central of working with West. "She was a great singer and she really put out everything she had in the process of being that."
More than four decades later, the track continues to resonate as a timeless anthem of love and commitment.
With its chart-topping success and enduring appeal, "All I Ever Need Is You" stands as a testament to the power of a simple message delivered with sincerity proving that sometimes, love is all you really need.

SpaceX Launch During ‘70s Legend’s Concert Makes for a ‘Once in a Lifetime’ Experience
In the Talking Head’s 1980 classic “Once in a Lifetime,” featured on the album Remain in Light, singer David Byrne sing-speaks a list of unique experiences, including “living in a shotgun shack,” driving “behind the wheel of a large automobile” and residing in “a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife.”
During Byrne’s show April 14 at the Santa Barbara Bowl, the song reached never imagined new heights.
Byrne and his support musicians and dancers were on stage at the amphitheater while Elon Musk’s Falcon 9 launched 25 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from the Vandenberg Space Force Base.
The former Talking Heads frontman, whose stop in California also included performances during both weekends of the Coachella Festival, told fans the launch was imminent before going into “Once in a Lifetime.”
“The rocket launch is actually schedule for right now,” Byrne announced from the stage as the band played the intro of the afrobeat-influenced song. “Let’s see if they’re on time.”
The Instagram account blueskykites captured the moment with video of Byrne and company onstage with a picture-in-picture view of the launch. As Byrne and the band hit the song’s chorus, you can hear the crowd react as the rocket is seen as a flash of light streaking through the sky. It was truly a once in a lifetime concert experience.
View this post on InstagramByrne’s public relations company, Grandstand Media, also shared video footage of the moment from a different point of view along with the caption, “Once in a Lifetime 🚀.”
Fans left mostly positive messages in the comments. “Great stage timing ⏱️ well played Dave,” wrote one.
“Coolest thing I’ve ever experience,” another added, with yet another writing, “Such a memorable moment! 😍❤️.”
However, another commenter had some harsh words for SpaceX. “Musk’s SpaceX launching, creating sounds , and light that disturb the environment that relies on dark and quiet to thrive 😢 just sayin’.”
View this post on Instagram 'Once in a Lifetime' Music VideoThe original music video for the song, directed by Byrne and "Mickey" singer/choreographer Toni Basil, blew the minds of fans when it was released back in 1980.
In the clip, a bespectacled and bow-tied excessively perspiring young Byrne, sings and convulsively dances along to the track with the fervor of a preacher speaking in tongues over clips of Indigenous people and a blue screen of video water. Adding to the fun, Bryne’s image is replicated multiple times, allowing the Talking Heads frontman to serve as his own backup dancers on one of the most stunning clips of the original MTV era.
One fan summed up the video’s brilliance in the comments on YouTube.
“You may ask yourself... ‘WTF did I just watch?’ You may say to yourself... ‘I actually kinda liked it.’”

Would Ann-Margret Ever Do ‘Dancing With the Stars’? The 84-Year-Old Icon Weighs In (Exclusive)
Hollywood dance icon Ann-Margret has exclusively told Parade.com why she hasn’t appeared as a celebrity contestant on ABC’s hit reality show Dancing with the Stars.
It seems that the famed actress/dancer/singer, who will celebrate her milestone 85thbirthday on April 28, should have been a natural to do the series years ago. Also, as DWTS fans know, a couple of famous folks over age 80 have previously hit the ballroom!
Ann-Margret’s six decades in Hollywood includes dancing in such big screen musicals as State Fair (1962), Bye Bye Birdie (1963) and Viva Las Vegas (1964). She also delivered an incredible performance in The Who’s movie version of the rock opera Tommy (1975), telling the story completely through music.
The beloved Swedish-American star, who will soon accept a lifetime achievement award, recently told us in a phone interview about how she is doing great after breaking her elbow — despite also missing her late husband of 50 years, Roger Smith.
In addition, she opened up about how she wasn’t able to join the DWTS cast at any point. Read on to find out more on why!
Does Ann-Margret watch DWTS?“Sure, sure!” she said. “I love watching that, yeah.” Elaborating on the reason why, the veteran star said she identifies with both the celebrity and pro dancers: “I know all of the nerves that go through everybody when, all of a sudden, well, it’s your time to perform and [you think], ‘help!’ I go through the same emotions that they go through.”
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/cWQ87o2dyVk
Did DWTS producers ask Ann-Margret to do the show?“Through the years, yes,” she revealed to Parade. “And always, it’s been [bad] timing.” When asked if she would do the show now, Ann laughed, “Oh, I have no idea,” adding, “I really am enjoying my time off.”

After Ann confirmed that she fell at her home, she said, “That’s okay. I’ve done it many times. I just happen to do that all the time. I have fallen so many times.” She added with a good-natured laugh, “I don’t intend to, but I do! What can I say?”

Ann had to cancel an autograph-signing appearance because of her elbow injury. However, when asked if she’s recovering well, the star known for her grit said, “Yes, I am. I sure am!”
Does Ann-Marget like watching the DWTS pro dancers?Yes! The movie legend said of such former pros as Derek Hough and Mark Ballas and current dancers, “Oh, my goodness, they didn’t get on the show if they weren’t great!”
What did Ann-Margret think of Cloris Leachman dancing on the show?Actress Cloris Leachman, who passed away in 2021, was a hilarious sensation on DWTS on season 7 in 2008, and remains the oldest star ever to do the show at age 82 (astronaut Buzz Aldrin was the second oldest DWTS contestant at age 80 on season 10 in 2010). “That was fun,” Ann-Margret commented about watching Cloris’ senior citizen run. “I had met her [once] but I didn’t really know her.”
Has Ann-Margret ever danced on TV?Yes, on ABC, now home to DWTS! Among other things, Ann appeared on the 1980 ABC special Ann-Margret: Hollywood Movie Girls, a musical/variety/comedy salute to the femme fatales of Hollywood's past.

As Playbill reported, one of the event’s producers, Joe Lanteri, said, “She has inspired generations of dancers to perform with the same passion and vivacious spirit…We are excited to celebrate her at this year’s Awards and know our audience is in for a treat.”
But Ann, dubbed the “Sex Kitten” in the 1960s, is modest about her abilities, saying, about actress/singer/dancer Rivera, who passed away two years ago at age 91, “She was this incredible dancer and I’m not that.”
Describing her own dancing, Ann-Margret said, “I’ve always thought of myself as someone who moves. I’m a mover!”
Does Ann-Margret still have her moves? When asked if she dances at home these days when no one is watching, Ann told Parade, “Yes I do! I do. If I hear something on TV [like]a favorite song of mine, of course I’ll start moving naturally. I’ve always done that.”
Would Ann-Margret do another movie musical?Of course! She said of the recent big screen hit Wicked, “I really enjoyed it. I think that musicals are great. I think that people enjoy them and I would love it if they did more musicals. It would be fun to have a part.” Hollywood, are you listening?
Heidi Klum Rocks a Sheer Dress Alongside Her and Seal’s Handsome Son Henry, 20, on the Red Carpet
Heidi Klum knows how to work a red carpet, and her handsome son, Henry Samuel, is learning her ways.
Klum, 52, one of the most famous supermodels in the world and a Project Runway staple, headed out on the town with her son, a rising model and music star, 20, who always towers over his mother when they work the red carpet together. The duo attended LACMA's Opening Gala for the David Geffen Galleries at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art this week, and Klum made her presence known in a black sheer dress as the two mugged for the camera hand-in-hand.

Does Henry Samuel Want to Be a Musician?Henry has walked a few runways just like his mother and signed with Next Management. However, his real focus is on building a music career. That’s not a big surprise, considering his father is legendary musician Seal!
“When I’m playing guitar, it’s usually rock or blues,” Henry told GQ last year. “But when I’m listening to music, it’s usually rap or Steely Dan. I listen to a lot of Steely Dan.”
Of course, it’s a little scary walking the runway when your mom is one of the most famous models in the world.
“I’m very lucky to have a family that can support me in that sense, but also it’s a little bit [nerve-racking], ’cause I’m kind of putting on the show for them, too,” he said.
Take a look at the handsome young man as he walked the runway during the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2025 show as part of Paris Fashion Week at Hotel Le Marois last year in Paris, France.

Who Are Heidi Klum’s Other Children? The supermodel stunner is also mom to kids Leni, 21, Johan, 19, and Lou, 16. However, with some of them growing up and leaving the nest, the kids are heading in different directions. Johan has started his college career, while Leni is frequently spotted modeling alongside her mom. The duo was even joined by Henry on the cover of Paper last month. Now that’s taking the family business to a whole new level!

Eminem’s Daughter Welcomes a Baby Girl
Eminemis a grandpa…again. But this time, his eldest daughter, Alaina Marie Scott, is the new mommy!
Marshall Mathers (or as his fans know him, Eminem) has three children—Alaina (born in 1993), Stevie Laine Scott (born in 2002), and Hailie Jade Scott (born in 1995). Hailie Jade is the performer’s only biological child. He adopted his oldest, Alaina, in the early 2000s.
Born to his then-wife, Kim’s sisterDawn Scott, Alaina’s birth mother struggled with addiction. She passed away in 2016 from a suspected overdose. In a 2004 interview, Eminem told Rolling Stone, “I have full custody of my niece.” He continued, “My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born.” And if you’re wondering what Mathers is like as a dad, he also revealed, “I’m not saying I’m the perfect father, but the most important thing is to be there for my kids and raise them the right way.”
The doting dad officially became a grandpa in 2025 when his daughter, Hallie Jade, had a son, Elliot Marshall McClintock. And now he’s a grandfather times two! Alaina announced her baby news on Instagram, with a precious post captioned, “My heart outside my body, she’s everything and more. Scottie Marie Moeller born 4/14/26. Welcome to the world my sweet darling.”

Her sister, Eminem’s younger daughter Hailie Jade, gushed in response, “So happy for you guys, can’t wait to be this little one’s aunties & Elliot is so excited to meet his cousin.”
Meteor Showers Are Going to Light Up the Sky This Week— Here's Where (And How) to See Them
If you’ve been looking for a reason to step outside at night, this is it. One of the most reliable and oldest meteor showers of the year is peaking this week, offering skywatchers a chance to catch dozens of “shooting stars” streaking across the sky.
This meteor shower is the Lyrid meteor shower, and it’s expected to deliver one of the best celestial shows of the spring.
Related: The Sky Is Putting On a Dramatic 'Planet Parade'— Here's Who Will Get a Front Row Seat
What’s Happening in the Sky This Week? The Lyrids are active from mid-April through about April 25, but the real highlight comes during their peak in the early morning hours of April 21–22. During that window, viewers can typically expect around 10 to 20 meteors per hour under ideal conditions.
What makes this year especially exciting is the timing of the moon. With a darker sky and minimal moonlight interference, visibility will be better than usual, meaning even fainter meteors could be visible.
Meteor showers occur when Earth passes through debris left behind by a comet, and in this case, material from Comet Thatcher. As those tiny particles burn up in Earth’s atmosphere, they create the bright streaks we see from the ground.
Where You Can See Them BestThe good news: you don’t need to be in a specific city or country to enjoy the show. The Lyrids are visible across much of the world, but they’re especially favorable for viewers in the Northern Hemisphere.
Ideally, you’ll want to head somewhere with minimal light pollution, so think rural areas, open fields, or even a quiet beach if you’re near the coast. City dwellers can still catch a few meteors, but the difference is dramatic. The darker your surroundings, the more you’ll see. If you want a general rule: if you can clearly see the Milky Way, you’re in a great spot.
Related: The Best Day This Month to Star Gaze Is Coming Up
When to Look UpTiming is everything with meteor showers, and the Lyrids are no exception. The best viewing window is after midnight and before dawn, when the part of Earth you’re standing on is facing into the stream of debris.
While you might spot a meteor earlier in the evening, the rate increases significantly in the early morning hours. Around 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. is often the sweet spot. Also, don’t expect constant action. Meteor watching requires patience, and there may be quiet stretches followed by sudden bursts of activity.
How to Watch (No Telescope Needed)One of the best things about meteor showers is how simple they are to enjoy. You don’t need any special equipment, just your eyes and a little preparation.
Here’s how to get the most out of the experience:
- Give your eyes time to adjust: It takes about 20–30 minutes for your eyes to fully adapt to the dark
- Look away from bright lights: Even your phone can ruin your night vision
- Dress for the weather: You’ll likely be outside for a while
- Lie back and relax: A reclining chair or blanket makes a big difference
Although the meteors appear to originate from the constellation Lyra, you don’t need to focus on that exact spot. In fact, you’ll often see more activity by looking at darker areas of the sky away from the radiant point.

‘Happy Days’ Star Will Be Delivering the Commencement Speech at a Top-Tier College
Henry Winkler is best known for his roles as Fonzie on Happy Days and Gene Cousineau on Barry. He is also a director and writer who has published a series of children’s books called Hank Zipzer: The World's Greatest Underachiever. This year, the Emmy Award-winning star is scheduled to deliver the commencement speech for Emerson College on May 9 in Boston.
This is not the first time Winkler has given a commencement speech. He also spoke at Georgetown University in 2025 to congratulate the College of Arts & Sciences.
In his Georgetown speech, he reminded the students that they could achieve anything. “The overall umbrella of what I’m going to say today is that all things are possible," he said. "Because I am living proof. So I went to Emerson, I nearly flunked out. I talked my way back in, I don’t know where I got the nerve. I went to the Yale School of Drama. Twenty-five actors were chosen. Eleven finished. Three were asked into the professional company. I was now making $173 a week. I was on my way. This was amazing. Then I went to New York. I tried out for commercials. Everybody I went to Yale with said, ‘I don’t know how you can do commercials. It goes against our aesthetic grain. We were trained for the theater.’ Their next question to me was, ‘How do you get them?’”
The actor went on to say, “Don’t put a period on the end of a negative thought. I want to tell you that every one of you is powerful. Every one of you here—your parents, your relatives, your brothers, your sisters, your aunts, your uncles—you are all powerful.”

Winkler continued, “There is not one way to do anything. There is only your way. You’re not hired to fill just time and space. You are hired to fill that time and space with your imagination, with that power that you’re going to find. You are wonderful. And everything is possible. Everything is possible.”
Some other celebrities who are scheduled to give commencement speeches this year are Conan O'Brien, Sarah Jessica Parker, John Green, James Patterson, Hilary Duff, Queen Latifah, and Hugh Jackman.
Nancy Guthrie Update: FBI Releases New Message for the First Time in Weeks
Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing more than 10 weeks after she was abducted from Tucson, Ariz.—and the FBI just released a new message about the case for the first time in weeks.
On April 16, news broke that the FBI had received DNA evidence from the 84-year-old's home. The Pima County Sheriff's Department (PCSD) initially sent it to a private lab in Florida.
The FBI is reportedly using new technology for advanced analysis of the genetic material, a hair sample, ABC News reported. Naturally, the news sparked a flurry of interest from those who have closely followed Nancy's case.
In response to the reports, the FBI addressed the ongoing investigation.
"There is no new DNA evidence in the Nancy Guthrie case. The FBI requested this material over two months ago," an FBI official told ABC News. "The Pima County Sheriff's Office sent it to a private lab in Florida. Eleven weeks later, that lab has now transferred an original hair sample to the FBI Laboratory for testing. We remain fully committed to this investigation."

On April 17, the PCSD also addressed the situation in an X post, writing, "PCSD has worked with the FBI since the beginning of the Guthrie investigation. This is not new information. The private lab we utilize in Florida continues to share information with the FBI lab & other partner labs across the country. DNA analysis remains ongoing."

— Pima County Sheriff's Department (@PimaSheriff) April 16, 2026In February, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos revealed that DNA evidence collected from Nancy’s home was “mixed,” meaning it contained genetic material from more than one individual. This made separating it and identifying the people challenging.
“Our lab tells us that there are challenges with it,” Nanos said, per Fox News. “The technology is moving so fast and in such a frenzy that they think some of this stuff will resolve itself just in a matter of weeks, months, or maybe a year.”
Nancy was last seen at her Tucson residence on the evening of Jan. 31. The PCSD (later with the help of the FBI) launched its search on Feb. 1. As of writing, no suspect has been named, despite Savannah offering a $1 million reward for information leading to her mother’s recovery.
Lindt’s Exclusive Lindor Truffle Flavor Taps Into This Spring’s Hottest Trend
Lindt is bringing back a Lindor Truffle flavor that seems to be this season's "it girl."
The cult-favorite chocolatier has been ahead of the trend, producing the spring-inspired chocolate truffle for years. But now that the flavor is beginning to pop up everywhere, from Red Bull to Starbucks (even Oreo tried hopping on it with a limited-edition flavor last spring), we have a feeling its popularity will hit a new peak this year.
That's right, returning for a limited time is Lindt's Sakura Lindor Truffle.
Lindt's Sakura Lindor Truffle Flavor Returns for the SeasonThe cherry blossom-flavored chocolate truffle officially returned for spring 2026 earlier this month, marking its fourth year in the States.

Reviewers have backed up those claims, with one gushing on Reddit a few years ago that they're "Pretty good!" The fan went on, explaining they "bought a bunch" at a nearby Lindt Factory Outlet Store and hope that the brand eventually makes a milk or dark chocolate truffle with a cherry filling.
"They are delicious!" a more recent comment declared, describing the treat as "light and floral with a cherry kick."
"Floral cherry ish taste," someone else agreed, calling the confection, "My favorite."
"The best lindor truffle flavor I have ever tried," one more wrote on Facebook.
Where Is This Spring Truffle Flavor Available?Lindt's Sakura Lindor Truffle flavor is available exclusively at Lindt retail stores, sold individually by weight (prices may vary). The trendy chocolate truffle flavor can also be purchased online via the company's website as part of its Pick & Mix collection (which ranges in price from $31.49 to $210) and in larger, bulk quantities (such as an 800-piece case, which retails for $294).
From what Parade understands, the spring-exclusive flavor will be available until sometime mid-summer, or as long as supplies last.

Why Iron Maiden Is Skipping Their Long-Awaited Rock And Roll Hall of Fame Induction
Fans have been waiting for decades for Iron Maiden to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and now that it's finally happening, the band is skipping the highly anticipated induction event. Here's why.

“As the most observant have already noticed, the band will be on tour in Australia around the November date of the Induction ceremony for the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in Los Angeles,” manager Rod Smallwood told Billboard in a statement on April 16.
The induction is scheduled for Nov. 14 in Los Angeles, just one week after the Australian leg of the tour kicks off on Nov. 7 in Auckland, and smack dab between the shows in Melbourne and Sydney on Nov. 13 and 15, so there was no way to make both work.
View this post on Instagram“We would like to assure all our fans in Australasia that the Australian and New Zealand dates will remain unaffected,” he added. "We look forward to bringing the Run For Your Lives Tour to them on the penultimate stop of our 50th anniversary celebrations.”
So, is there beef with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for not attending? Smallwood insists it's all good. “In accepting, Iron Maiden made it very clear to the R&R HoF that the fans always come first and that the shows will of course go on," he said.

After forming in East London in 1975, it took the band—currently featuring Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Bruce Dickinson, Nicko McBrain, and Janick Gers—46 years to even be nominated for the honor. After noms in 2021 and 2023, the metal legends finally joined the inductee class of 2026.
This will only be the eighth time Iron Maiden has made the trip down under during their half-century in the music industry, so fans are surely relieved that nothing is going to derail it.
This year is a huge milestone for the band, who will also get their own documentary, Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition, released in theaters on May 7, 2026.
This 2013 'Breaking Bad' Episode Won an Emmy and Ranked No. 1 'Best TV Episode of All Time'
There are a select few TV episodes that can be titled as being the best of the best by fans and media outlets. During its fifth season, Breaking Badreleased a stellar episode that led to multiple Emmy wins and became known as one of TV's best episodes of all time.
Breaking Bad released the episode "Ozymandias" as the 14th episode of its fifth season, with its storyline concluding the cliffhanger narrative from its prior episode. Fans flocked to TV screens in mid-September to watch the episode written by Moira Walley-Beckett and directed by Rian Johnson. The self-described "partners in crime" had previously worked together on the episode "Fly," with Walley-Beckett having admitted her involvement was simply "luck of the draw."
"Ozymandias" was called by series creator Vince Gilliganas one of the show's best, and he wasn't wrong. It was ranked No. 1 on Rolling Stone's list of "Best TV Episodes of All Time," with them commenting that the episode "tops our list not only because of how well it builds on what came before, but for how perfect it is as an individual hour of storytelling, packed with one indelible moment after another."
With only two episodes before the series finale, "Ozymandias" became the culmination of every horrible thing Walter White (Bryan Cranston) has done over the past five seasons, blowing up in his face. The episode's storyline follows a breaking point, picking up immediately after the desert shootout in the prior episode. Jack Welker (Michael Bowen) is ready to kill Hank Schrader (Dean Norris), with Walt begging them to let Hank go, and promises to give them his entire fortune.
In an upsetting moment, Hank tells Walt that they had already decided to kill them, with Hank ultimately being killed by Jack at gunpoint. A shattered Walter gives up Jesse (Aaron Paul) in an attempt to hold onto what he has left and confesses to Jesse that he watched Jane die. Jesse is taken by the gang and forced to cook meth.
At the same time, Marie (Betsy Brandt) tells Skylar (Anna Gunn) that Hank arrested Walter, unaware that he's really dead. Skylar is also forced to reveal the truth about Walter's drug enterprise to Walter Jr. (RJ Mitte) and her own role in illegal business. Back at home, Skylar finds Walter frantically packing and urges his family to leave with him, while learning the grim truth of Hank's death. Believing Walter was responsible, she finally turns on her husband and threatens him as Walter Jr. calls the police.
Walter ends up fleeing with Holly, and later calls their home to establish Skylar's innocence and being the sole person responsible for the drug business, knowing the police are listening. The episode ends with Walter confirming Hank's death, leaving Holly at a fire station, and meeting with Ed Galbraith (Robert Forster), who drives away with Walt and the money barrel.
"Ozymandias" was a success upon its release, earning Walley-Becket an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. Cranston also won an Emmy for Lead Actor, alongside Gunn for Leading Actress. It was hailed as one of the best and toughest episodes to watch, having been viewed by over six million fans at the time, and received a perfect score on IMDb.

Legendary Rock Singer Ranked New Album as Band’s Best Yet
Everyone has their favorite album, even Shinedown lead singer Brent Smith.
This week, the legendary lead singer sat down for a moment to share how his own music stacks up by ranking each of the band's albums in order from best to worst. Each album name was called out in order of when it was released, as Smith shared where he would place it on the list.
The caption read, "We ranked every album… watch till the end for #1 👀 let’s see your rankings 👇"
Shinedown's first album, Planet Zero ranked at No. 5 on his list, with Us and Them taking up eighth place. Surprisingly, The Sound of Madness took the second spot with Amaryllis coming in fourth.
Threat to Survival snagged the No. 7 spot, and Attention Attention took third. Smith put Planet Zero at No. 6, leaving only the No. 1 spot available, and he confidently ranked the band's upcoming album, EI8HT, as the top album.
View this post on InstagramThis list is surprising and a bit exciting because The Sound of Madness is widely known as Shinedown's best album, giving us hits like "Second Chance," the title track "Sound of Madness," and "Devour." Released in 2008, this was the band's third studio album and their biggest commercial success, ranking double platinum, putting out six No. 1 singles on the Billboard rock music chart.
Not all fans agreed with Smith, with one writing, "I am not ok with Planet Zero being number 6! Haha! I love you guys! Can’t wait for EIGHT! 💜"
Another shared, "Sound of Madness not being number 1 should be illegal."
"I’ll never understand why Us and Them gets so little love. Amazing times as a Shinedown fan around that era," a third fan declared.
Others debated the rank with one surprising re-order placing The Sound of Madness at No. 6, and another proclaiming, "Leave a whisper is and will always be the best!!!"
Shinedown's eighth album, EI8HT, comes out on May 29, 2026, with 18 songs including the already released (and chart-topping) "Safe and Sound," "Outlaw," "Three Six Five," "Dance, Kid, Dance," "Killing Fields," and "Searchlight."
Ahead of the album release, Shinedown is headed back on the road when their Dance, Kid, Dance – Act II World Tour kicks off on May 13 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

It's safe to say The Traitors has taken the world by storm over the past five years. And Netflix tried to take advantage of the global obsession with deception last year with Million Dollar Secret. In the original reality show, a group of contestants lives in the lap of luxury, all trying to hunt down who has been chosen privately to be the "Millionaire." The goal: Eliminate the Millionaire, in the hopes that you get the cash transferred to you, and take it home by the end of the game. After a well-received debut, the Peter Serafinowicz-led show returned for Season 2 on April 15 with its first three of eight episodes.

Beef Season 2 Carey Mulligan and Oscar Isaac in 'Beef' Season 2Netflix
In 2023, Netflix debuted one of its meatiest surprise hits in Beef. Created by Lee Sung Jin, the series started as a minor incident in a parking lot, before escalating into a series of events that left several bodies in their wake by the end. Beef was on the taste buds of the Emmy voters that year, earning awards for the series, as well as leads Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.
Three years later, Beef is finally back for a second helping on April 16. But it's taking a page out of shows like The White Lotus or the works of Ryan Murphy, as fans of the show will find the only similarity between the two seasons is the name. For Season 2, a new group of characters, led by Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Cailee Spaney and Charles Melton, dive into the drama behind the scenes of a high-scale country club. And, without spoiling too much about all the delicious drama, you'll absolutely want to watch this one for the cameos!

'Full House' Actress, 61, Looks Nearly Unrecognizable as She Debuts Brand-New Look
Have mercy! Lori Loughlin had fans doing a double take as she showed off a whole new look during her latest red carpet outing.
The Full House alum brought the glitz and glamour on Thursday, April 16, as she stepped out for a Los Angeles photo-op with a completely new look, rendering her nearly unrecognizable at first glance.
Known for her role as Rebecca "Aunt Becky" Donaldson-Katsopolis on Full House, Loughlin is among some of the most recognizable stars from the cast of the iconic sitcom from the late '80s and '90s — but she recently made a big change in the hair department, giving her an entirely different look.
As seen in the photos from the LACMA's Opening Gala for the David Geffen Galleries on Thursday, Loughlin, 61, debuted a new hairstyle that featured her freshly-chopped locks just barely touching the tops of her shoulders. The layered look also featured thick-cut bangs that partially covered her face.

Thursday's look marked a stark difference from Loughlin's most recent appearance last month, when she attended a special event to celebrate When Calls the Heart and the prequel Hope Valley: 1874. She also stepped out earlier in March for an evening put on by the Women's Cancer Research Fund, and her hair was still well past her shoulders at that point — and she didn't have any bangs at the time.
During her latest photo-op, Loughlin's new hair wasn't the only part of her look to catch fans' attention, as she showed up dressed in a flashy, sequin-covered gown. The form-fitting silver dress, which was lined with rhinestones along the neckline and the straps, also featured a daring slit on one side that reached all the way to her upper thigh. Loughlin accessorized the sparkly look with a pair of metallic silver heels and a similar shade of nail polish to match.
While attending Thursday's event, Loughlin was also photographed alongside Olivia Jade Giannulli, 26, the younger of the two daughters she shares with estranged husband Mossimo Giannulli.
