1934 Hit Ranked Among the Top 10 ‘Best Picture Winners' of All Time
It Happened One Night, a romantic comedy starring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert, was ranked as one of the top 10 “Best Picture Winners” by Rotten Tomatoes. With a 98% critics score and a 93% audience score, many reviewers claim that the story still holds up today.
The 1934 film, which was directed by Frank Capra, is about “a rogue reporter trailing a runaway heiress for a big story. [He] joins her on a bus heading from Florida to New York and they end up stuck with each other when the bus leaves them behind at one of the stops along the way.”
This is one of the rare films that won five major categories at the Academy Awards. They included Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
When speaking about the film, one fan said, “It Happened One Night is one of the most entertaining films I have seen. Its entertainment value is entirely due to good acting and good directing, particularly to the latter.”
Another reviewer raved, “It Happened One Night rightly earns its place as one of the greatest romanticcomedies in film history. A pioneer of the screwball comedy genre, it holds up very well years after it was made.”

Archaeological Mission Unearthed Fragments of Historical Text From Inside a Roman-Era Mummy
In a discovery that feels almost like something out of a movie, archaeologists working in Egypt have uncovered fragments of a famous ancient text hidden inside a Roman-era mummy. But this isn’t just any text; it’s part of The Iliad, one of the most important works in Western literature.
The finding is not only rare, but it’s rewriting what historians know about ancient burial practices, cultural exchange, and the surprising ways literature lived on in the ancient world.
Related: Archaeologists Uncover 1,700 -Year-Old Artifact From the Bottom of the Sea
A Discovery Unlike Any OtherThe breakthrough came at the ancient site of Oxyrhynchus, located in modern-day Egypt. This site has long been famous among archaeologists for its massive collection of papyri, ancient documents that have preserved everything from everyday records to lost literary works.
But this time, researchers found something completely unexpected. Inside a Roman-era mummy, carefully placed on the abdomen during the embalming process, was a papyrus fragment containing lines from The Iliad.
Even more remarkable? This is the first time a Greek literary text has ever been discovered inside a mummy. Until now, similar papyri found in mummies typically contained magical spells or ritual texts meant to guide the deceased in the afterlife, not works of literature.
What the Text RevealsThe fragment itself comes from Book II of The Iliad, specifically the famous “Catalogue of Ships,” which lists the Greek forces heading to the Trojan War.
While that might sound like an unusual choice for a burial, it offers powerful insight into the cultural world of Roman-era Egypt. At the time, Egypt was deeply influenced by Greek and Roman traditions. Finding a Greek epic poem inside an Egyptian mummy shows just how interconnected these cultures had become.
In other words, this was part of a blended cultural identity where Greek literature held real meaning, even in death.
More Than Just a TextThe mummy wasn’t the only fascinating part of the discovery. Archaeologists also uncovered a complex burial site featuring multiple chambers, decorated coffins, and unusual funerary objects, including small “golden tongues” placed in the mouths of the deceased.
These tongues were believed to help the dead speak in the afterlife, particularly when facing judgment by the gods. The combination of these artifacts paints a vivid picture of evolving burial traditions, where ancient Egyptian beliefs blended with Greek and Roman influences, a process researchers are still trying to fully understand.
Why This Discovery MattersAt first glance, finding a piece of literature inside a mummy might seem like a strange coincidence. But to historians, it’s a major breakthrough.
For one, it challenges assumptions about how texts were used in ancient societies. Literature wasn’t just for reading, but instead it may have held symbolic or even spiritual significance.
It also highlights the importance of Oxyrhynchus as one of the world's richest archaeological sites. Thousands of ancient texts have been found there, many of which have reshaped our understanding of history, philosophy, and daily life in antiquity.
And perhaps most importantly, it shows that the ancient world was far more interconnected than we often imagine.
A Window Into the Ancient WorldA mummy, preserved for over a thousand years, has now revealed a direct connection to one of humanity’s greatest literary works. It’s a powerful example of how archaeology continues to bridge the gap between past and present.
As researchers continue to study the papyrus and the burial site, there’s no doubt that more insights will emerge. For now, though, one thing is clear: Even in death, stories mattered, and they travelled farther, and deeper, than we ever realised.
Health Experts Warn Travelers Visiting This California City They May Leave With More Than Just Their Souvenirs
If you’re planning a trip to San Francisco this spring or summer, health experts are urging travelers to take extra precautions. The city is currently seeing a surge in multiple viruses, including a notable rise in rotavirus, raising concerns about how easily illnesses could spread among visitors.
While this doesn’t mean you should cancel your trip, it does mean you should travel smarter.
A Surge in Multiple VirusesRecent data from WastewaterSCAN show that San Francisco is experiencing elevated levels of several viruses simultaneously, including rotavirus, norovirus, influenza, and RSV.
Among these, rotavirus is drawing particular attention. Typically associated with young children, this highly contagious gastrointestinal illness causes symptoms like severe diarrhea, vomiting, and fever, and in serious cases, dehydration requiring hospitalization.
Wastewater monitoring across the Bay Area shows that rotavirus levels are significantly higher in 2026 than last year, with San Francisco among the top cities reporting ongoing transmission.
Even more concerning, this spike is occurring alongside other lingering viruses, meaning travelers could be exposed to multiple illnesses in crowded environments such as airports, hotels, and public transit.
Why Experts Think Cases Are RisingHealth officials say there isn’t just one reason behind the surge, but rather it’s a combination of factors.
One major concern is the decline in vaccination rates.Rotavirus vaccines, once routinely recommended for infants, are now subject to more individualized decision-making, which experts worry could reduce overall immunity.
At the same time, broader vaccine hesitancy and lower uptake of routine immunizations may be contributing to the spread of multiple viruses, not just rotavirus.
Another factor is timing. Rotavirus typically peaks in late winter and early spring, and experts believe lingering low immunity levels may be allowing viruses to persist longer into the year than usual.
Improved wastewater surveillance is also detecting more cases than in previous years, which means the spike may be partly due to better tracking, but that doesn’t make the risk any less real.
Related: Health Officials Are Warning Travelers to Avoid These Popular Hawaiian Beaches Right Now
Why Travelers Should Pay AttentionFor most healthy adults, rotavirus is usually mild. But it can still disrupt a trip with unpleasant symptoms, and for families traveling with young children, the risks are much higher.
The virus spreads through what’s known as the fecal-oral route, meaning it can be transmitted by touching contaminated surfaces, food, or water and then touching your mouth.
That makes it especially easy to pick up while traveling, where shared spaces and high-touch surfaces are everywhere, from airplane tray tables to hotel elevators. Add in the presence of other viruses circulating in the city, and the likelihood of getting sick while traveling increases.
Tips for Staying Healthy While TravelingThe good news is that protecting yourself is relatively straightforward if you stay consistent.
- Wash your hands frequently: Hand hygiene is your first line of defense. Wash with soap and water, especially before eating and after using public spaces. Hand sanitizer helps, but it’s not always enough against viruses like rotavirus.
- Be cautious with food and drinks: Stick to reputable restaurants, avoid sharing utensils, and be mindful of surfaces when eating on the go.
- Disinfect high-touch items: Wipe down airplane seats, tray tables, and hotel surfaces when possible. Viruses can live on surfaces longer than you might expect.
- Stay up to date on vaccinations: Talk to your doctor before traveling, especially if you’re traveling with children. Vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to prevent severe illness.
- Don’t ignore symptoms: If you start feeling sick, prioritize rest and hydration. In more serious cases, especially for children, seek medical attention quickly.
San Francisco remains one of the most exciting destinations in the U.S., but the current rise in viruses is a reminder that travel always comes with some health risks.
By staying informed and taking simple precautions, you can still enjoy everything the city has to offer, from iconic landmarks to its world-class food scene, without letting illness derail your trip.

South Greenland Just Got Easier To Visit, and This Is Why You Should Go
If Greenland has always felt like a far-off, complicated destination to reach, that’s finally changing. A brand-new airport in Qaqortoq is opening up one of the Arctic’s most remote and breathtaking regions, South Greenland, to travelers in a way that’s never been possible before.
And if you’re looking for a truly unique summer trip, this might be one of the most exciting destinations you can add to your list.
The Game-Changing New AirportThe newly opened Qaqortoq Airport officially launched in April 2026, marking a major shift in how visitors access the region.
Previously, getting to South Greenland was no small feat. Travelers had to fly into a former military airbase in Narsarsuaq and then continue by boat or helicopter, often adding hours (or even days) to the journey.
Now, with direct access to Qaqortoq, the largest town in southern Greenland, travel time is significantly reduced, making the region more accessible than ever. Flights now connect through Nuuk year-round, with seasonal routes from Keflavík, making it far easier for international travelers to plan a trip.
This new airport is part of a broader effort to open Greenland to tourism while supporting local communities and sustainable travel growth.
Why South Greenland Is Worth the TripSouth Greenland is unlike what most people imagine when they think of the Arctic. Instead of endless ice, this region is known for its surprisingly green landscapes, fertile valleys, and sheep farms. It’s one of the few places in Greenland where agriculture thrives, creating a striking contrast between rugged Arctic terrain and rolling pastures.
The natural scenery is just as dramatic. Fjords carve through the landscape, glaciers loom in the distance, and areas like Tasermiut Fjord, which is often called the “Patagonia of Greenland”, offer towering peaks and world-class hiking.
But it’s not just about nature. South Greenland also has a deep cultural history. Norse settlers, including Erik the Red, lived here over 1,000 years ago, and you can still explore ruins and archaeological sites that tell the story of early European exploration in North America. Combined with modern Inuit culture, the region offers a rare blend of history, tradition, and raw natural beauty.

What This Means for TravelersThe biggest impact of the new airport is simple: accessibility. What was once a niche destination for expedition travelers is now becoming a realistic option for adventurous tourists. Shorter travel times, more flight options, and improved infrastructure mean you can plan a trip without needing complex logistics or multiple transfers.
It also opens the door for multi-stop Greenland itineraries. With expanded airports in Nuuk and beyond, travelers can explore multiple regions of the island in one trip instead of committing to just one remote area.
A Sample 5-Day South Greenland ItineraryIf you’re considering a trip, here’s how you could make the most of it:
- Day 1: Arrival in Qaqortoq
Fly into Qaqortoq and explore the town’s colorful houses, local markets, and harbor. It’s a great introduction to Greenland culture. - Day 2: Norse History & Sheep Farms
Take a guided tour of the nearby valleys to visit Viking ruins and working sheep farms. This is where Greenland’s history really comes to life. - Day 3: Fjord Adventure
Head out on a boat trip through nearby fjords. Keep an eye out for icebergs and possibly even whales. - Day 4: Hiking in Tasermiut Fjord
For outdoor lovers, this is a highlight. Hike among dramatic peaks and untouched wilderness in one of Greenland’s most stunning landscapes. - Day 5: Cultural Experiences & Departure
Spend your final day visiting museums, trying local cuisine, or kayaking before heading back via Nuuk or Iceland.
South Greenland has long been one of the Arctic’s best-kept secrets but that’s starting to change. The opening of Qaqortoq Airport is a turning point, making the region more accessible while still preserving its sense of remoteness and authenticity.
For travelers seeking something beyond the typical summer destinations, this is your chance to experience a place that still feels wild, untouched, and deeply connected to both nature and history.
Heidi Klum’s Sideless Dress Sets the ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Red Carpet on Fire
Heidi Klum is one of the most famous supermodels in the world, and for good reason.
Klum, 52, who worked the runways for years before being a Project Runway staple, hit the red carpet world premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 at Lincoln Center this week in New York City, and blew the competition away in a sideless green dress. With the billowing gown cascading behind her, the sexy outfit revealed her curves in all the right places.

Klum Loves to Hit the Red Carpet with Her Musician/Model Son, Henry Samuel View this post on InstagramKlum loves to head out on the town with her son, Henry Samuel, 20. The rising model and music star always towers over his mother, but they look incredible together! The duo recently attended LACMA’s Opening Gala for the David Geffen Galleries at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and Klum made her presence known in a black sheer dress as the two mugged for the camera hand-in-hand.
Henry has walked a few runways, just like his mother, and has signed with Next Management. However, his real focus is on building a music career. That’s not a big surprise, considering his father is legendary musician Seal!
“When I’m playing guitar, it’s usually rock or blues,” Henry told GQ last year. “But when I’m listening to music, it’s usually rap or Steely Dan. I listen to a lot of Steely Dan.”
Of course, it’s a little scary walking the runway when your mom is one of the most famous models in the world.
“I’m very lucky to have a family that can support me in that sense, but also it’s a little bit [nerve-racking], ’cause I’m kind of putting on the show for them, too,” he said.
Who Are Heidi Klum’s Other Children? The supermodel stunner is also mom to kids Leni, 21, Johan, 19, and Lou, 16. However, as some of them grow up and leave the nest, the kids are heading in different directions. Johan has started his college career, while Leni is frequently spotted modeling alongside her mom. The duo was even joined by Henry on the cover of Paper last month. Now that’s taking the family business to a whole new level!
View this post on InstagramSouthwest Planes Nearly Collide Over Nashville, Getting Within 500 Feet of Each Other
For most travelers, flying feels routine. Yet occasionally aviation reminds us that even the most routine journeys are orchestrated by complex systems and human decisions.
On a recent Saturday evening over Nashville, two commercial jets came far closer to each other than anyone would ever want. The incident ended safely, but it offers a fascinating glimpse into how modern aviation handles moments of tension thousands of feet above the ground.

A Close Call Over Nashville: What Happened in the SkyAt around 5:30 p.m. on April 18, 2026, two Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 aircraft found themselves unexpectedly converging near Nashville International Airport, as per ABC News. One aircraft, Southwest Flight 507, was arriving from Myrtle Beach and attempting to land amid gusty winds. When the approach became unstable, the pilots performed a go-around, a standard maneuver in which the aircraft aborts its landing and climbs away to try again.
During that go-around, air traffic control instructed the aircraft to turn right. Unfortunately, the AP reports that the direction placed it in the path of Southwest Flight 1152, which had just been cleared for takeoff from a parallel runway. The two aircraft quickly began closing the distance between them.

Flight tracking data later showed the jets came within about 500 feet of vertical separation, a distance aviation authorities classify as a near mid-air collision according to WISN. Both cockpits received collision alerts, and the pilots immediately followed automated instructions to climb or descend. Those rapid maneuvers created enough space to prevent disaster.
The arriving aircraft eventually landed safely in Nashville a few minutes later, while the departing flight continued on to Knoxville. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has opened an investigation into the incident.
For travelers onboard, the moment may have felt like nothing more than a sudden climb or change in altitude. But behind the scenes, it was a vivid demonstration of aviation’s layered safety systems working in real time.
The Invisible Systems That Protect Every FlightOne of the most reassuring things about modern aviation is that it rarely depends on a single decision or a single person. Instead, it uses layers of safeguards designed to catch errors before they become accidents.
First comes air traffic control, which organizes aircraft spacing and movement. Controllers guide planes through crowded airspace and coordinate takeoffs and landings. According to AP News, the FAA said a controller’s instruction inadvertently placed the arriving aircraft in the path of the departing aircraft.
Related: Southwest Announces 2 Exciting Updates for Travelers—Including a First-Ever Program
Second comes onboard warning systems. When aircraft get too close, computers monitor their relative altitude and direction using the Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS). If a conflict is detected, the system issues a resolution advisory, telling one aircraft to climb and the other to descend.
Third comes pilot training. Airline pilots rehearse near-collision scenarios in simulators repeatedly during their careers. When alarms sound, they know exactly what to do. For travelers, this layered design is the key reason aviation remains one of the safest forms of transportation in the world. Even when something goes wrong, backup systems are ready.
What Travelers Should Know About Air SafetyMoments like the Nashville near-miss can sound alarming, especially when headlines mention “500 feet” or “near collision.” But it helps to understand the broader context. Commercial aircraft operate with strict separation rules, per ABC. In many phases of flight, planes are normally kept 1,000 feet or more apart vertically, so the Nashville encounter was unusually close but still within the realm of recoverable situations.
Commercial aviation statistics from 2024 show just how uncommon serious incidents are. Globally, there was roughly one accident for every 883,000 flights, and fatal crashes were even rarer, occurring about once every 5.8 million flights. To put that into perspective, the odds of being involved in a deadly airline accident are extraordinarily small.
Get the latest travel inspiration and news delivered straight to your inbox.
Why Incidents Like This Matter for the Future of TravelNear-misses often trigger investigations not because a disaster occurred, but because aviation wants to ensure it never does. The FAA’s inquiry will likely analyze everything from controller instructions to radar data and cockpit recordings.
Next time you’re sitting by the window watching a runway appear below the wing, remember that an entire network of people and machines is working together to keep that moment uneventful. Most of the time, we never notice it.
Alicia Silverstone's Son Is Her 'Twin' In Heartfelt Birthday Post: 'Still Melts My Heart'
Alicia Silverstone is feeling nostalgic as her son's 15th birthday is approaching.
"Almost birthday boy season… and I’m not quite sure how it happened so fast," she captioned a sweet photo posted to Instagram on Monday. "That scrunched-up little face pressed in close still melts my heart."
The photo showed her son, Bear, at a young age holding hands and snuggled up to his 'Clueless' star mom. The teenager will turn 15 on May 5.
"So proud of the young man he’s become… and wow, what I’d give to spend one more day with that sweet little 5-year-old munchkin," she added.

"Wow [he] looks just like you!" one said.
"He is like your twin!!!!" said another, who was among many to say the two looked like "twins."
"He has your face," said another, while one more chimed in saying, "She said copy and paste."

While Bear has seemed to grow up in the eyes of Silverstone's fans, her parenting style has raised eyebrows throughout the years as she practiced "bird feeding" when he was little and continued to co-sleep when he was over 10 years old, People reported. The two are also vegan.
Of her seemingly unconventional methods though, Silverstone has always stayed firm in her beliefs
"I feel very passionate and content with every choice I've made as a mom and as an activist," she told Redbook in 2018. "Anyone who has issues with it can have them, it doesn’t affect me."
However, she's okay with Bear being a bit more flexible when the need arises.
"When he is with other kids who are eating regular pizza — if there's no vegan pizza, I want him to have the pizza," she said. "I know other vegans might not agree with that or think it's acceptable, but I don't care."
Silverstone shares Bear with Christopher Jarecki, whom she was married to from 2005-2018.

Nancy Guthrie Update: Former FBI Agent Says ‘Bad Faith’ Negotiations Started on Day 1
New insight into the Nancy Guthrie case is raising fresh questions about how the situation may have unfolded from the very beginning. During an interview with NewsNation's Brian Entin, former FBI agent Steve Moore weighed in on the case, pointing to early communications that he believes set the stage from the very beginning.
"The problem I have here is the kidnappers—or the people demanding the ransom—were negotiating in bad faith from day one," Moore told Entin on the April 20 episode of Brian Entin Investigates. They would provide no proof of life. They didn't take Nancy's safety into consideration, according to physical evidence at the scene. Everything they did was in bad faith. And so it's like negotiating with Iran. They can say that they're going to do something, but we sure don't trust them to do anything because they've never demonstrated any bit of integrity or good faith in the investigation."
"One of the main issues that makes them seem like non-serious is that they wanted the negotiations basically public. They wanted to go through TMZ. They wanted to go through TV networks," Moore continued, adding, that whomever is behind the ransom notes "wanted this public."
A number of different notes were sent to news outlets following Guthrie's disappearance back on Feb. 1. There were apparent ransom notes sent to TMZ and other media outlets fairly early on in the case that demanded millions of dollars in Bitcoin. There were additional notes sent to the outlet from someone claiming to know who was behind Guthrie's disappearance.
Savannah Guthrie, Nancy's youngest daughter, said that she and her family believe that two of those notes were legitimate.
As for why the ransoms weren't paid from the beginning, Moore says that the FBI likely looked at the notes as a negotiation and they weren't going to "play the game" where someone dictated the terms.
Moore also added that he wasn't surprised that the ransom wasn't paid in full.

Comedy Icon Mike Myers and His Stunning Blonde Wife Are So in Love on the Red Carpet
Mike Myers is a comedy legend, and he's loving life alongside his beautiful wife, Kelly Tisdale.
Myers, 62, got his start on Saturday Night Livebefore launching a hugely successful film career with films like Wayne’s World and Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. Now sporting a little twist on his typical look with a head full of white hair, Myers largely runs below the radar these days, rarely hitting the red carpet. However, the actor, who is currently at work on Shrek 5, made an exception to walk alongside his stunning blonde wife, Tisdale, at Lionsgate's Michael premiere at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. With his arm around his wife, Myers posed cheek-to-cheek with Tisdale in pure wedded bliss.

Not one to speak much about his personal life, Myers has spoken openly about the joyous experience of being a father.
"Anyone who tells you fatherhood is the greatest thing that can happen to you, they are understating it. I am the happiest I have ever been in my life,” Myers said during an interview with Deadline in 2013. “I knew I wanted to be a father, I didn’t know it was going to be this awesome or that my kid would come out so beautiful and lovely."

The teenager's Instagram post is gaining attention, but she is no stranger to the spotlight. Kidman’s daughter made her runway debut for Miu Miu in October 2024. She has since walked for Dior and Calvin Klein.
The fashionable mother-daughter duo has more in store. Kidman recently announced her daughter as her date to the upcoming Met Gala.
This reveal came just months after the actress finalized her divorce from Keith Urban. The couple shares two children, Faith Margaret and Sunday Rose Kidman Urban.
Kidman has two additional children with Tom Cruise, her first husband, ConnorCruise and Isabella Jane Cruise.
In an interview for Elle Australia’s March cover story, Sunday Rose revealed how much seeing her mother on set influenced her career aspirations.
“I definitely gained a lot of interest from those experiences and especially being privileged enough to experience them at a young age,” she said. “My mum is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life. She’s a key part of everything I do.”
The model is grateful for the opportunities she’s been granted.

1962 Forgotten Elvis Song Became a Hit 64 Years Ago Today
Elvis Presley is an icon who released dozens of hits that everyone knows the lyrics to by heart, from “Hound Dog” to “Jailhouse Rock” to “Love Me Tender.” However, there are some underrated gems that not everyone has heard before, like “Good Luck Charm.”
Although this is one of The King’s lesser-known songs, it still reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list and remained at the top for two weeks. It also reached No. 1 on the Cash Box chart in the US and the UK Singles Chart, where it remained for five weeks.
The 1962 song, which was written by Aaron Schroeder and Wally Gold, was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee. It contained catchy lyrics like, “Don't want a four leaf clover. Don't want an old horseshoe. Want your kiss 'cause I just can't miss with a good luck charm like you.”
As one fan said, “Elvis didn't need autotune, fancy processing, or a million synthesized sounds to hide behind—he could sing a cappella and I'd prefer it to anything on the charts today.” Another raved, “He truly has an exceptional voice. I saw him live in 1975. I can tell you that a recording cannot capture his true singing voice. I am 85 and have listened to singers since the 40s and no one has his full voice. Even Sinatra went to his shows in Vegas.”

Despite being one of the greatest voices of a generation, Presley still got stage fright when he performed. In a 1972 interview, a decade after releasing this hit song, he said, “I’ve never gotten over what they call stage fright. I go through it every show. I’m pretty concerned, I’m pretty much thinking about the show. I never get completely comfortable with it, and I don’t let the people around me get comfortable with it, in that I remind them that it’s a new crowd out there, it’s a new audience, and they haven’t seen us before. So it’s got to be like the first time we go on.”
This 1995 Kids Movie is Getting a Sequel, and It’s Star Just Celebrating His Daughter’s Birthday In the Sweetest Way
Jumanji: Open World is set to open in December 2026, and The Rock recently debuted the latest installment of the mega-popular franchise at CinemaCon over the weekend. But that doesn’t mean the action star was too busy for another sort of celebration.
It's hard to believe that a mountain of a man with biceps bigger than tree trunks is the type of guy who would belt out “Happy Birthday” at a child’s party. ButDwayne Johnson(a.k.a. The Rock) is one dude who’s also a doting dad. And we’re here for it!
Who are The Rock’s children?Johnson is a ‘girl da’ to three children. His eldest daughter, Simone Alexandra Johnson (whom he shares with ex-wife Dany Garcia), was born in 2001. The celeb’s younger daughters, 10-year-old Jasmine Lia Johnson and eight-year-old Tiana Gia Johnson, are from his second (and current) marriage to Lauren Hashian.
Which of The Rock’s daughters just had a birthday? The Jumanji star’s youngest child, daughter Tiana, just celebrated her eighth birthday on April 17, 2026. Johnson posted an absolutely aww-dorable Instagram clip of the celebration with the caption, “Happy Birthday Tia. 8 summers old and our anchor of pure love, joy, crazy humor, and always down to put in the work, and step outta the box! We love U baby girl.” He ended the post with, “Pinky’s Up”—a reference to the Katsweye birthday party theme.
View this post on InstagramFans can watch the proud dad carry the cake out to his daughter, singing “Happy Birthday” along with his wife (Tiana’s mom, Lauren Hashian) and a few of the little girl’s friends. And judging by the muscly arms he’s showing off in a body-baring tank top, we’re pretty sure The Rock won’t drop the frosting-covered confection.
So, what kind of cake did the newly turned eight-year-old have? Even though The Rock stars in multi-million dollar film franchises like Jumanji, The Fast and the Furious, and The Mummy (Scorpion King), he isn’t one of those Hollywood dads who hires the top chef from a bespoke bakery to create an over-the-top party cake for his kiddo. Instead, it looks like he helped the family bake their own.
The Rock also posted a quick kitchen clip of the family’s countertop covered in frosting containers and a homemade Katseye-themed cake. Of course, Johnson can’t take all the credit. He pans the camera down to show 10-year-old daughter Jasmine decorating the cake, giving it his seal of approval…the iconic ‘chef’s kiss.’
Best-Selling Author’s Classic Hit Ranked Among ‘Best Books’ of All Time
Long before modern dark fantasy and CGI-generated dystopian films, The Stand by Stephen King set the gold standard for delivering terrifying brilliance and psychological horror.
Up to this day, the novel remains just as chilling as before.
The author cemented his status as one of the most prolific writers in history after releasing a series of notable epic horror novels, among which was the 1978 book The Stand.
Before hitting the small screen with the 1994 and 2020 miniseries, the post-apocalyptic novel had already gripped book lovers with its raw and unsettling portrayal of a collapsing society, as billions perished in a looming supernatural war.
Years before the global pandemic, King explored a similar scenario in his novel, which centers on a highly contagious strain of superflu called "Project Blue,” also nicknamed "Captain Trips," that accidentally escapes from a secret military laboratory in California.
Stephen King poses during a portrait session held on November 16, 2013 in Paris, France. In The Stand, the author described this catastrophic event as the breakdown of society after the government couldn't control the situation, causing the deaths of billions due to the pandemic.
Decades after the novel was published, it continues to captivate readers and critics alike. Now, it is ranked among the “best books of all time” as cited by Goodreads, proving that the novel’s legacy remains as disturbing and powerful as ever.
The rankings were based on votes from the Goodreads community and as a result, King’s novel The Stand secured the No. 72 spot and received a 4.35 rating.
Some of the readers described it as “one of King’s best books ever written,” and others even called it “one of King's greatest works.”
Apart from Goodreads, several publications have also praised The Stand for its impact and unforgettable storytelling. This includes Collider’s “10 Best Epic Stephen King Books,” where The Stand landed at number two.
The first was The Dark Tower, the eight-volume book series that delves into fantasy, Westerns, sci-fi and horror.
The same goes with Rolling Stone, as The Stand ranked first on its list of the “10 Best Stephen King Books,” as voted by readers.

Only 3 Ships Made the 2026 Cruise 'It List'—and One of Them Is Disney
Travel + Leisure recently announced its list of the best new cruise ships of the past year. And even though over a dozen ships launched in 2025, one Disney ship rose to the top of theTravel + Leisure It List 2026: the Disney Destiny.
The 4,000-passenger vessel has 1,246 staterooms, ranging from modest interior cabins to the opulent Iron Man-themed suite located in the forward funnel. The heroes-and-villains-themed ship took its maiden voyage in November 2025 from Port Everglades, Florida, and continues to sail on four-, five-, and seven-night sailings around the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
According to Travel + Leisure, “Disney Cruise Line’s latest ship, the Disney Destiny, invites guests to choose their own magical adventure with whimsical spaces and interactive experiences that capitalize on what Disney does best: entertainment.”
Guests aboard the Disney Destiny may encounter Loki in the Grand Hall.(Disney)And I wholeheartedly agree. As a longtime travel writer covering theme parks and cruises, I got an early look at Disney's latest stateside ship before it launched last November. The Disney Destiny takes cruise ship entertainment to the next level, building on what Disney Cruise Line has created for the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. Think of the Disney Destiny as a floating theater where nearly anything can take place, from mind-blowing Broadway-caliber stage shows to smaller, more intimate moments with Disney villains that leave you spellbound.
Some of the entertainment highlights onboard include a slate of mini-shows in the Black Panther-themed Grand Hall, a full-scale production of the animated classic Hercules in the Walt Disney Theater (one of the best shows I’ve ever seen on a cruise ship), a Lion King-themed dinner show (included in your cruise cost), a comical retelling of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Saga, and small group character interactions and performances all around the ship. And once every cruise, the ship raises its pirate flag for the beloved Disney Cruise Line tradition: Pirate Night, which includes a Caribbean-themed dinner, pirate activities throughout the evening, all culminating in a deck party with fireworks at sea.

The Sanctum is one of the most unique bars onboard the Disney Destiny. (Disney)Besides the entertainment, there are a handful of other new experiences on the ship. My favorite is the Doctor Strange-themed lounge, The Sanctum. The space is themed after the New York Sanctum from the Doctor Strange movies, with fun details like the Cloak of Levitation and spell books from the library of Kamar-Taj. The bar is right in the middle of the action on deck three, nestled between the Grand Hall and The Walt Disney Theater. During the day, the lounge hosts trivia and drawing classes, but at night, the space turns into a hot spot for live music and unique cocktails and mocktails. My favorite drink is the Eye Opener, a strong mix of Saigon Baigur, lemon, smoked oolong tea and Amaro Montenegro, served in a “floating” glass teapot, which adds a really fun mystical effect.
Cruises on the Disney Destiny currently start at $2,141 based on double occupancy for a three-night sailing, and go up to $5,959 for a weeklong cruise based on double occupancy.

Mug Root Beer Teams up With NFL Star for ‘Absurd’ New Collab
Mug Root Beer is ready to help fans get those gains this summer.
In an "absurd" twist on the poppin' "dirty soda" and "proteinmaxxing" trends, the PepsiCo soft drink brand (which is consistently rated among the best) has tapped San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle to be the face of its new creation: Mug Brotein.
"As a professional athlete, protein tracking comes with the territory, but I’m also a longtime MUG Root Beer fan who will never give up my float. MUG Brotein is the best of both worlds," Kittle teased in a statement. "The most absurd thing about it is that I didn’t do it sooner."
This isn't some promotional stint, either. Mug Brotein is a real recipe and it's heading out just in time for peak GTL season—but probably not in the way that you'd expect.
MUG Root Beer Teams Up With George Kittle for New Protein Beverage"MUG has always been for the fans who have that dawg in them," Michael Smith, vice president of marketing at MUG Root Beer, explained. "Teaming up with George Kittle to drop MUG Brotein lets us unleash that big dawg energy in fit season—creating a gainz hack that’s as fun as it is delicious."

Instead of launching a Mug Root Beer-flavored protein beverage, the soda company is using its already beloved Mug Zero Sugar as the base of the recipe. Consumers are instructed to pour the soda into a shaker bottle (or larger cup) before mixing in a serving of vanilla protein beverage. After some steady mixing, voila! Mug Brotein.

And if you asked MUG's mascot, Dog, he would say, "Dis one is for all da dawgz that werk hard fur da gainz. Lift heavy. Sip MUG Brotein. Get sumthin to flex abut."
Where Will MUG Brotein Be Available? The new recipe is launching as part of a special, limited-edition bundle available exclusively on Walmart.com beginning today (Tuesday, April 21) for $24.99, with a second drop heading to the official MUG Root Beer TikTok Shop next Tuesday (April 28), but only while supplies last.
The "dirty protein" remix bundles include a branded gym bag, muscle tee, a gym towel, sweatbands, a shaker bottle for all the MUG Brotein you could make, a can of Zero Sugar MUG Root Beer, and a vanilla-flavored protein shake (which packs 40grams of protein, 1 gram of sugar, and 6 grams of fiber).
MUG Root Beer
If the bundles have sold out by the time you're reading this, fear not. Everything you need to make MUG Brotein can be found at retailers like Albertsons and Kroger, where displays for MUG Zero Sugar and vanilla protein shakes will be set up in stores. Fans can also shop the ingredients online via Walmart and Instacart (prices may vary).
What do you think? Is this the next evolution of dirty sodas and protein shakes, genius or just wild? Let us know in the comments!

Virgin Voyages Just Handed the Keys to Its Flagship to 1,000 Content Creators
If your social media feed is suddenly filled with sunset yoga, Michelin-level dining and neon-lit dance parties at sea, there’s a reason for it. Virgin Voyages has officially teamed up with TikTok to launch the largest creator activation in the brand’s history, turning the Scarlet Ladyinto a floating content studio for more than 1,000 influencers.
Setting sail from Miami to Bimini, the "Creator Voyage" isn't just a standard cruise; it’s a full-ship takeover. Virgin has long been the "cool kid" of the cruise world with its strictly adult-only policy and superyacht-inspired design, but this partnership marks a defining moment where the brand is leaning entirely into the creator economy.
"Creators are the media now," says Nathan Rosenberg, CMO of Virgin Voyages. And he’s right. Instead of traditional ads, the brand is betting on 1,000 different perspectives to show off the "Float On" beach celebrations and behind-the-scenes access at The Manor.

The voyage also marks the Scarlet Lady’s return to her popular short four- and five-night Caribbean itineraries, making these high-energy escapes more accessible for those who want the "influencer" experience without the month-long commitment.
Whether you’re a TikTok devotee or just a traveler looking for a kid-free escape that feels more like a boutique hotel than a traditional ship, the era of the "content cruise" has officially arrived.
