Anna Wintour’s Surprising Issue With ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Set

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 2:29pm

During AnnaWintour’s visit to the set of The Devil Wears Prada 2, she was not shy to voice her opinion. She shared a very specific critique that ultimately changed the film.

The upcoming sequel's director, DavidFrankel, and screenwriter, AlineBroshMcKenna, spoke with AmyOdell for the Back Row podcast on April 17. They revealed what transpired during the fashion mogul’s production visit.

The former Vogue editor-in-chief came by the set during a scene in the Dior offices where the character Emily (Emily Blunt) works. McKenna heard Wintour criticize the quantity and color of the flowers, sharing that Dior would only have white flowers.

“I came running out, and I was like, ‘Dude, kill the flowers,’” said McKenna. The prop team swapped the large pink and white floral display for a single vase of white flowers.

Wintour’s set visit was an exciting embrace of the film. Both the former editor and Condé Nast kept a notable distance from the 2006 release of The Devil Wears Prada.

Not everyone in the fashion world was apprehensive about getting involved. The first movie included cameos from models GiseleBündchen, designer ValentinoGaravani, and fashion journalist RobertVerdi. There is quite a bit of buzz surrounding who might appear in the much-anticipated sequel.

For now, we know who won’t be in the film. Wintour’s visit did not include time behind the camera.

“That felt too meta to us to put her in the movie,” said Frankel.

It is generally believed that Anna Wintour is the inspiration for Miranda Priestly (MerylStreep), who is the editor-in-chief of the fictional magazine, Runway. LaurenWeisberger is the author of the 2003 book, which the first movie is based on. She was also Wintour’s assistant.

To Frankel, the first film has made a major impact on the fashion industry and those who grew up with it.

“The movie is celebrating fashion. And so many people have been inspired to work in fashion and in media because of the movie,” she said. “To me, both movies are a celebration of her ambition for excellence."

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to premiere in theaters on May 1, 2026

Costco Is Giving Away Free Branded Tumblers Right Now—Here's What to Know

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 2:25pm

Costco shoppers know the thrill of a good freebie, especially when it involves exclusive merch you cannot just pick up off a shelf. Lately, members have been buzzing about a surprise perk that has Costco members in a frenzy. Here's everything we know about the drop.

🍳 SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & fun food news in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter 🍳

How to Get a Free Costco Tumbler

Reports from Costco members suggest the free item is a 32-ounce Costco-branded tumbler. It is a simple but eye-catching piece of drinkware that fits right into the retailer’s growing reputation for surprisingly popular branded merch. Think of it as the same appeal behind Costco's logo apparel and collaborations that tend to sell out quickly.

According to shopper experiences, the tumbler has been offered in a couple of different ways depending on the warehouse. Some say it is tied to turning on auto-renew for membership, while others report receiving it after applying for the Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi. Availability seems to vary by location, which means not every member will see the same offer at the same time.

The Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi itself is already a major draw for frequent shoppers. It offers cash back, including 5 percent on gas up to $7,000 annually, 4 percent on EV charging, 3 percent on restaurants and travel and 2 percent at Costco. There is no annual fee with a paid membership and no foreign transaction fees, which makes it a popular everyday spending card for many households.

Why Costco Gear Always Gets Attention

Even outside of this tumbler moment, Costco has a long history of creating low-key hype around its branded items. Whether it is limited apparel drops, unexpected collaborations or simple in-store perks, members tend to pay attention when something feels exclusive or temporary. That is part of what is driving interest here, too.

A branded tumbler might seem small, but it taps into the same appeal as other Costco favorites. It is practical, easy to use on the go and carries that recognizable logo that fans love. For some shoppers, it becomes less about the item itself and more about the feeling of getting something extra just for being a member.

As with most Costco promotions, the key takeaway is that availability can vary widely. Some locations may have stock while others do not, and offers can change without much notice. Still, for members already considering auto-renew or a new credit card, this is a small perk that makes the decision feel a little sweeter.

1978 Power Ballad Named No. 1 Hit Became a Breakup Anthem

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 2:12pm

Forty-eight years ago, the iconic '70s actress and singer Barbra Streisand and singer-songwriter Neil Diamond topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with their heartbreak duet, "You Don't Bring Me Flowers."

Released in 1978, the track was featured as the lead single and title track for Diamond's 12th studio album and was also included on Streisand's Greatest Hits Vol. 2. "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" was a massive success, climbing up the Billboard Hot 100 and peaking at No. 1 for two consecutive weeks.

The chart-topping duet was brought to life after radio DJs began creating mashups of Diamond's and Streisand's solo renditions of the song by splicing them together. Due to significant listener demand, the pair was inspired to re-record the track together, creating the iconic duet version we know today.

Within the first few months of its release, "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over 2 million copies, affirming its ability to touch audiences. In 1980, the song received critical recognition with two Grammy nominations for Record of the Year and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.

Produced by Bob Gaudio via Columbia Records, "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" is recognizable for its powerful contrasting vocals and elegant orchestration. Streisand's soft delivery paired with Diamond's gravelly vocals created a stunning power ballad that highlighted the emotional weight of the piece.

Co-written by Diamond, Alan Bergman and Marilyn Bergman, "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" explores themes of distance in a long term partnership. Diamond tenderly writes about the pain of drifting apart in a once-strong relationship. The vulnerability present in the lyrics connected deeply with listeners, marking it as a definite breakup anthem.

Despite being released nearly five decades ago, the track continues to resonate with modern audiences in the streaming era. On Spotify alone, "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" has garnered over 44 million streams, attesting to its lasting legacy as a heartbreaking duet.

1987 Hit Song With Signature Intro Debuts on Charts Decades Later

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 2:10pm

Fleetwood Mac’s glittery pop-rock hit “Everywhere” is, well, everywhere again.

Released in 1987 on the band’s first album in five years,Tango in the Night, the track was a massive success, peaking at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hitting No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart, following another Tango track, “Little Lies.” Now, nearly 40 years later, that legacy is now a brand-new chart milestone.

Fleetwood Mac Charts Its First Hit From the ’80s on the Billboard Global 200https://t.co/1XLc9OQE5Y

— billboard (@billboard) April 19, 2026

Per Billboard, Christine McVie’s pop-rock gem about pure, uncomplicated love debuted this week on the Global 200. This marks the group’s first hit from the 1980s to debut on the chart, a feat three of their 1970s tracks have accomplished. And that resurgence isn’t happening by accident.

Breaking in at No. 188 with nearly 10 million streams worldwide, the song has been featured in advertisements, likely boosting its profile and streaming resurgence in recent years. It’s also been finding new life with younger audiences, thanks in part to social media posts soundtracked with the hit.

Part of what’s fueling the track’s staying power is its sound, which was crafted with meticulous studio detail. Written by McVie, who also sings its lead vocals, the track was co-produced by Lindsey Buckingham, who crafted the track’s signature shimmering intro.

Per American Songwriter, the producer created the twinkling sound from a pair of guitars equipped with effects.

Lyrically, the song likely borrows from real life. At the time, McVie was getting ready to marry composer Eddy Quintela, with AS reporting that McVie drew from her own love story as inspiration for the song.

The track’s success was part of a larger story for the album. Though Tango in the Night took 18 months to finish, due to scheduling conflicts and solo careers, it produced four hit singles, including "Everywhere."

“Everywhere” isn’t Fleetwood Mac’s only hit seeing renewed attention. Since Billboard launched the Global 200 in 2020, the band has charted four of their iconic songs. The other three are “Dreams,”“Landslide,” and “The Chain.”

We love to see a nostalgic music comeback, especially one that is reaching a whole new generation of listeners.

This Is Where Real Doctors Actually Stand After an AI Chatbot Fooled a Neuroscientist Into Ignoring Medical Advice

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 2:05pm

There isn't a corner of the world that AI hasn't touched. At a breakneck pace, AI has weaseled its way into our jobs, homes, natural resources, and schools. While it can be an incredibly powerful tool, many folks are putting their entire trust in it without even considering the potential repercussions.

And if you think it's only a certain type of person succumbing to this way of thinking, you'd be dead wrong. Recently, The New York Times reported that AI convinced a 75-year-old neuroscientist, Joe Riley, that his doctors were wrong about his chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) diagnosis and that his treatment was only designed to prolong his illness. He apparently came to these conclusions by regularly querying Perplexity and other chatbots. As someone who lived with a chronic illness, he was relatively wary of the medical system and felt that conversing with AI could help solve his problems.

Ultimately, Joe essentially diagnosed himself with Richter’s Transformation, which the outlet describes as "a rare complication that occurs when a relatively docile cancer abruptly evolves into a more aggressive, punishing one." He even believed that the treatment recommended by his doctors would not only exacerbate his supposed Richter’s Syndrome but shorten his life expectancy. His oncologist, Dr. Marzbani, was perplexed by this diagnosis, as he really didn't see any of the symptoms Richter’s produces.

Related: ‘I’m a Gastroenterologist—Here’s What I Eat To Help Prevent Colon Cancer'

They got stuck in a cycle of arguing over it, where the doctor would explain all the reasons why he didn't believe Joe had the condition and urged him to undergo the treatment that would give him more time, which he desperately wanted with his friends and family. Still, Joe could not be convinced.

Much to the dismay of his family, Joe waited a year after his diagnosis to finally accept treatment, and by then the damage was already done: Joe died due to complications from CLL.

"I don’t think AI killed my father," clarified Joe's son Ben Riley in a moving piece he wrote on the experience of losing his dad in Cognitive Resonance. "I think it’s possible, perhaps even likely, that in a world without AI, he would still have latched on to some other piece of research to support his disposition against medical treatment, as he had deep misgivings—fear, really—about spending time in hospitals. Nonetheless, the fact remains that AI does exist in our world, and just as it can serve as fuel to those suffering manic psychosis, so too may it affirm or amplify our mistaken understanding of what’s happening to us physically and medically."

What Doctors Want Patients to Know About AI

Doctors agree: AI should be used as a tool, not the final say in a patient's treatment.

"There are so many AI sources and search engines out there that all get information from different sources and are not vetted by physicians who specialize in those specific health topics," Dr. Jeffrey Velotta, a thoracic surgeon at Kaiser Permanente Northern California and expert contributor for The Mesothelioma Center at Asbestos.com, tells Parade. "They are often too generalized and over-simplified or flat-out inaccurate. So I would be very hesitant to rely on any AI. Patients may feel reassured by a confident-sounding answer, but that confidence isn't backed by the clinical training or specialized expertise a physician brings to the table. AI can help you think about things to discuss with your doctor, but NOT replace your doctor at all!"

Doctors are also seeing how patients use AI as part of their examinations can be both useful and harmful.

Related: Warrior Little Boy Puts Up Incredible Fight After Being Born With His Intestines Outside His Body

"The greatest issue we have with AI in the use of outpatient medicine is not knowing how to prompt correctly," Dr. Nasser Mohammed, a Board Certified Family Physician with Osra Medical, warns Parade. "The answer you get depends heavily on what you ask and how you ask it. For example, I had a patient come in immediately asking for hemorrhoid cream and wanting to bypass the rest of the visit. They reached this conclusion after using AI to self-diagnose. Instead of starting with rectal pain as the main problem to solve for, they prompted AI with 'is it a hemorrhoid,' resulting in biased and pre-selected questions. It turns out, they actually had a rectal abscess that needed to be drained. This issue is not only a limitation with the average patient but also with the average clinician. The way you prompt AI is a different way of thinking, and we need to be careful about how we ask our questions."

It isn't all doom and gloom for doctors, though. Many of them see the potential benefits it offers in facilitating a unique relationship between patient and physician that is far more thorough and interactive.

"The positives are that the patient is already coming in with a very thorough history-- something I really appreciate," Dr. Carmen Fong, colorectal surgeon and Chief Medical Officer at Bummed, tells Parade. "Rather than sitting on the exam room table answering, I don't know, or I'm not sure, or Let me look it up on my phone, they've already thought through the history and the timeline and put it into ChatGPT. This helps make for a concise, problem-oriented visit and not 45 minutes of fact-finding. Of course, our conversation may diverge into variables or symptoms that I find more pertinent, but that 1 page summary is a good start. It helps the patient-and physician spend more quality time on the problem."

The key to peacefully coexisting with AI is to treat it with a healthy dose of skepticism and not follow it blindly wherever it leads.

Reese Witherspoon Responds to Criticism Over AI Comments: 'I Don't Believe Computers Should Replace Humanity'

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 2:05pm

Reese Witherspoonis addressing backlash regarding her recent comments about AI use.

On Thursday, April 16, Witherspoon shared a video on Instagram where she said she thinks women should use AI in their every day lives. “The AI revolution has begun, and I need to learn as much as I possibly can about AI and share it with all of you,” she wrote in the caption.

Witherspoon received backlash for her thoughts on AI use and took to her Instagram story on Monday, April 20 to address the criticism.

"Well, I guess my Al post got people talking,” she began.  “To be clear, no one is paying me to talk about this. I'm just a curious human. My kids are learning about AI tools, I know a lot of founders who are vibe coding, and I hear about people using AI in EVERY sector of business."

She continued, "But I want to acknowledge people's concerns, they are valid. I'm aware of the impact this could have on jobs across so many industries. I understand environmental concerns. I care deeply about local communities. And I have concerns about impending AGI [Artificial General Intelligence]."

Witherspoon concluded the Instagram story with, "I don't believe computers should replace humanity. I'm planning on learning as much as possible so that I'm educated about this technological revolution. If you want to learn with me, great, let's do this! If you don't, that's okay too."

Witherspoon had shared similar sentiments about women and AI use in a Sept. 2025 interview with Glamour.

“It's so, so important that women are involved in AI because it will be the future of filmmaking,” she said at the time. And you can be sad and lament it all you want, but the change is here. It will never be a lack of creativity and ingenuity and actual physical manual building of things. It might diminish, but it's always going to be the highest importance in art and in expression of self.”

‘Practical Magic 2’: Will Aidan Quinn Return as Gary Hallet?

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 1:57pm

Sally (Sandra Bullock) and Gillian Owens (Nicole Kidman) hoped to find love in Practical Magic. The problem was that their family was cursed from finding it. Aidan Quinn played state investigator Gary Hallet. He fell for Sally, but will he return for the sequel?

Aidan Quinn Wasn’t Asked To Return as Gary in ‘Practical Magic 2'

The trailer for Practical Magic 2 shows the Owen sisters and aunts reunited. However, Gary isn't to be found. Sally and Gillian tell Lee Pace's character that people around them die. Where does that leave Gary?

Related: The ‘Practical Magic’ Line That Addressed a Real Witch’s Curse

"I wasn't asked; I would have said yes, but I wasn't asked; of course I would," Quinn, 67, told Official Spin 1038. He had nothing but positive things to say about Bullock, 61, and Kidman, 58.

"They were both great to work with," he said. "You know, most of my stuff was with Sandy, but they were both phenomenal to work with. We had a good time."

The plot of the new movie hasn't been revealed. But Kidman teased that fans will see "midnight margaritas, jumping off the roof, and also have our past catching up with us," according to Deadline.

The house in the trailer should look familiar. "We rebuilt the original house on the cliff," she said. "We filled that house with many old and new characters that you’ll love and brought Alice Hoffman’s Book of Magic to life."

Pace, 47, isn't the only new face in the trailer. Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones and Joey King from The Act are in the cast as the next generation of witches. The sequel will be in theaters this September.

1980 Hit Film Was Just Ranked 'the Most Universally Beloved Sci-Fi Movie' Ever Made

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 1:57pm

Throughout the history of cinema, there have been plenty of acclaimed science fiction films that have elicited excitement and the hope for a better tomorrow. The publication Collider recently released a list of the "10 most universally beloved sci-fimovies of all time." The list, published on April 21, included hit films like 1979's Alien, Terminator 2: Judgment Dayfrom 1991, Back to the Futurefrom 1985, and 1982's Blade Runner.

Collider named the second film in the original Star Wars trilogy, The Empire Strikes Back (1980), as the "most universally beloved sci-fi" film ever released. The publication reported that the Irvin Kershner-directed film's popularity partly stems from the introduction of Yoda (Frank Oz), the romance between Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), and the big revelation about Darth Vader (James Earl Jones).

George Lucas Shared Behind-the-Scenes Facts About 'The Empire Strikes Back'

In an interview discussing The Empire Strikes Back, written by Leigh Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan, the creator of Star Wars, George Lucas, suggested that he didn't believe the 1980 film is the most exciting out of the franchise.

"Empire Strikes back is the middle part of a single film. It's the middle act. And in the middle act of a movie, or a book, or anything else, the middle, not much happens. It sort of evolves the story. Makes the plot more complicated," said Lucas, who came up with the script's story.

He said that the film's main plot device "was the revelation that Darth Vader is Luke's (Mark Hamill) father."

In addition, Lucas explained why he included Yoda in the second Star Wars film. He said that after killing off Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness) in the first film, Star Wars: A New Hope, he had to create a Jedi character to train Luke. He also said he decided to make Yoda "a little creature so that he would be interesting to listen to," despite his "philosophical, not very interesting dialogue."

In addition, Lucas said that Yoda's character design "really comes from a tradition in mythological storytelling, fairy tales, of the hero finding a little creature on the side of the road that seems very insignificant and not very important," but is actually "the master wizard or the main guide."

"I wanted him to be a little insignificant character, something like a frog or something that you just didn't pay any attention to. And he turns out to be the most powerful Jedi in the universe," said Lucas in the interview.

Elizabeth Smart Shocks Fans With Bodybuilding Competition Reveal: See Her Latest Photos

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 1:54pm

Elizabeth Smart is embracing life to the fullest. The safety advocate and author made an unexpected social media announcement on Instagram Tuesday, surprising fans with the news that she has entered the world of bodybuilding.

Smart shared photos of her physical transformation along with an emotional and vulnerable explanation of how she got into the sport and why she was initially afraid to share the news—and the photos—with followers. Ultimately, Smart confessed she “refuses to be embarrassed.” Fans quickly took notice, showing support and sending a wave of encouragement for her candid reveal and bold life change.

In an Instagram post shared Tuesday afternoon, the 38-year-old posted a photo of herself taken during a recent bodybuilding competition. Wearing lucite heels and a black bikini, the bronzed blonde took the stage with confidence and poise. The mother of three appears strong and radiant, showcasing a fit physique that marks a departure from her more familiar public image. But through her caption, Elizabeth Smart’s journey into bodybuilding feels authentic and deeply personal.

Not her first competition, but the first she has shared publicly, Smart explained her passion for bodybuilding, writing, “When I posted the pictures in my story of me standing on stage in a bikini it probably shocked many of you, and I understand the shock because had you asked me if I would ever compete in a bodybuilding show a couple of years ago I would have said, ‘absolutely not! Never in 100 years!’ This is actually the fourth competition I’ve done, but I was too afraid to post it before.”

Smart also opened up about her fear of being judged, saying she worried about being “not taken seriously, somehow perceived as less than or now unworthy to continue work as an advocate for all survivors,” which kept her from sharing this part of her life.

Elizabeth Smart Fitness Journey Highlights Strength, Resilience, and Empowerment View this post on Instagram

Something shifted this past weekend, inspiring Smart to go public with her bodybuilding journey.

“Then this past weekend it struck me how eerily familiar these feelings and thoughts are for too many survivors. I think it’s easy to be labeled as one thing, and honestly, that’s not me nor do I think it’s any of us we are more than just one topic, one idea, one label. I am interested in many things, and as I get older I realize more and more how important it is to make the most of today, we don’t know what tomorrow brings. And I don’t want to reach the end of my life and look back and feel regret for only living a half-life, not going after all the things I want to do and try.”

Smart’s admission has been met with enthusiasm and support, with many calling her story inspiring and empowering. One supporter shared, “This was so unexpected! Wow! Hell yes! Elizabeth, you are such an inspiration. It’s fun to see glimpses of your life outside of your advocacy work. Thanks for sharing.” Another added, “You're amazing! And we contain multitudes -- kudos to you for celebrating that.”

“This is brilliant,” another wrote. “Congrats. We are all more than one thing. Go Elizabeth.”

Who Is Elizabeth Smart?

Elizabeth Smart is a well-known American activist, author, and television commentator recognized for her advocacy in child safety and recovery. She first became nationally known after surviving a high-profile kidnapping in 2002 at age 14. After being rescued nine months later, she dedicated her life to helping others through the Elizabeth Smart Foundation.

She is also a bestselling author and frequent television contributor, using her platform to speak about resilience, healing, and empowerment.

While bodybuilding may seem like an unexpected path for a child safety advocate, Elizabeth Smart’s message has always centered on courage, resilience, and personal strength—qualities reflected in the discipline and commitment required for competitive fitness.

Whether advocating for change or pursuing new personal goals, Elizabeth Smart continues to inspire, encouraging others to live fully and embrace every dimension of who they are.

This New Costco Find Is a Bold Take on a Classic Summer Cookout Favorite

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 1:27pm

Costco's new chip flavor is being called one of the "craziest snack" finds.

And it's a bold take on a classic summer cookout favorite, making it the perfect chip bag to reach for as the warmer months approach.

Over the years, brands have unleashed some pretty out-there chip flavors, taking inspiration from some beloved dishes, meals and flavor profiles—just look at Lays' World Cup release, including Argentinian-Style Steak, Brazilian-Style Garlic Sauce, and Wavy French Onion Soup.

Now, Costco's latest release is getting in on the mix with a very American-inspired flavor.

When you think of summer, a few staple foods likely come to mind, for instance, potato chips and cheeseburgers.

Now, what if you had them both in one? That's what you get with the Cheeseburger Wavy Kettle Chips at Costco.

The Instagram account CostcoBuys gave a first-look at the snack item, writing, "🍟 Chip lovers, these Cheeseburger Wavy Kettle Potato Chips at Costco are a wild find! These are wavy kettle chips made with avocado oil and flavored to taste like an actual cheeseburger, which sounds crazy but honestly works SO well. Grab a bag and see for yourself."

Discovering_Costco echoed the sentiments, calling it the "craziest snack find," adding, "You’re going to want to check out this wild eye 👀 catching snack at Costco! Too weird or just weird enough?"

View this post on Instagram

The consensus seemd to be that many were in favor of the flavor, as one described the taste as, "I like them they taste like a Burger king cheeseburger with extra ketchup and mustard."

According to Warehouse Runner, you get the burger taste in every bite, as the chips are made with "farm-fresh potatoes cooked in small batches" to preserve the kettle crunch.

They are then seasoned with a blend that "captures the savory taste of a classic burger," which includes all the toppings like cheddar cheese, tangy mustard, tomtato and smoky spices, evoking the "taste of a backyard-grilled burger reimainged as a portable snack."

The Kosher chips have retailed anywhere from $5.49 to $5.69, depending on location, with one noting that for the price, they "hit the spot."

If you're someone who enjoys a bolder take on chip flavors, you'll have to try the cheeseburger chips while they're in season at Costco!

Experts Warn This Bathroom Surface Can Harbor Way More Germs Than You Realize

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 1:25pm

If you were asked to name the germiest surface in your bathroom, you might say it’s the toilet seat, or even the toilet flush lever. And they certainly do contain germs. But there’s another surface that harbors a lot more germs than you realize: your bathroom faucet

“There are a few reasons for this,” says Dr. Mike Sevilla, MD, a family physician in Salem, Ohio. “First, germs like wet and damp environments, where germs and bacteria can thrive and grow.”

Then, when you go to use the sink, your dirty hands touch the faucet, and “who knows what germs they are bringing with them,” he continues. “Finally, when you flush the toilet with the lid up, the droplets from the toilet bowl can fly in the air to touch nearby surfaces, like the faucet.”

Bathroom faucet handles are also just high-touch areas, adds Dr. Jonathan Jennings, MD, an internist in New York City and a contributor to LabFinder. Think about how many times you wash your hands a day. And if you’re not cleaning and disinfecting this spot frequently, the germs can spread to the sink, countertop and elsewhere.

Your bathroom faucet handles are also likely to harbor different types of bacteria, research suggests. This may seem counterintuitive since your bathroom sink is where you go to keep yourself clean and perform your hygiene rituals, such as washing your hands, doing your skincare routine and brushing your teeth

But don’t panic, Dr. Sevilla says. Even though your bathroom faucet can transmit germs, you can keep yourself (and your family) safe by keeping it as clean as you can.

Here’s what to know about the germs lurking on your bathroom faucet, how they may impact your health and how to keep this area clean and disinfected.

What Kinds of Germs Lurk on Bathroom Faucets?

Residential handbasins (as in, your bathroom sink), can be colonized by potentially harmful organisms, including Pseudomonas, Mycobacteria and Legionella, according to a 2024 study published in Science of the Total Environment

Related: You’re Definitely Touching the Germiest Part of the Airplane—Here’s What It Is

“These organisms are associated with diverse medical conditions, including treatment-resistant lung and skin infections,” Dr. Jennings says. “The germs not only line the faucets, but they form these slimy colonies that act as protective shields called biofilms.”

In some instances, biofilms can protect the germs from disinfectant and cleaning efforts, he says. This is especially important for people with weakened immune systems, such as anyone over 50 or less than six months old, or individuals living with cancer, diabetes or HIV.

“Also consider people who have chronic lung diseases, smoke or use contact lenses may be put at risk by faucet germs,” Dr. Jennings adds.

Bacteria, like E. coli or Staph, may be found on your faucet, too, Dr. Sevilla says. “Also, viruses like the common cold virus, influenza, and norovirus can survive on faucet surfaces.”

Are These Germs Likely To Make You Sick?

“The short answer is that it depends,” Dr. Sevilla says. “For those who are very young, elderly, or have some immunocompromised diagnosis, your risk for getting sick increases.”

Related: This Common Daily Habit Is Destroying Your Gut Health—Here’s How To Avoid It

Some of the germs could enter an open sore on your fingers or hands, which increases the likelihood of a skin reaction, he adds. If germs from your faucet transfer to your hands and you touch your eyes, nose or mouth, you could potentially infect yourself with a respiratory virus, like a cold or the flu

If E. coli is living on your faucet, it could potentially cause diarrhea and other gastrointestinal problems, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

However, most healthy people shouldn’t worry too much about the germs on their bathroom faucets making them sick, Dr. Jennings says—your immune system will protect you.

How To Minimize Germs on Your Bathroom Faucet

Do two things: clean and disinfect your bathroom faucets.

Many public health organizations recommend cleaning your bathroom faucet, drain and surrounding surfaces once or twice a day, Dr. Jennings says.

Start by cleaning these areas with warm, soapy water. Then, sanitize it using bleach or a sanitizer wipe, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Also, clean faucet or showerhead aerators when you notice buildup on them, the CDC says.

After you wash your hands, use the clean part of a paper towel to turn off the faucet (or consider a touchless handle the next time you replace it), Dr. Sevilla recommends. And, “remember to close the lid of the toilet to prevent the spread of airborne droplets.”

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 1:22pm

The loss of Days of Our Livesstar Patrick Muldoon hit Hollywood stars and fans hard. However, no one is mourning harder than his loved ones, including his long-time friend and ex-girlfriend Denise Richards.

A day after news broke about Muldoon’s sudden death at age 57, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spoke out on the devastating loss.

Taking to Instagram, Richards shared a video filled with memories of her and Muldoon’s decades-long friendship. The duo met in acting class when she was 19 and he was 21, and they became fast friends.

In 1997, after working on the film Starship Troopers, their friendship turned romantic. After a few years of dating, they split but remained close friends until Muldoon’s shocking death on April 19.

Losing Muldoon has been especially hard for Richards, who did her best to put her feelings into words to pay tribute to him. Richards kicked off her tribute, reiterating how they met in acting class before she ever worked as an actor, and Muldoon was on Who’s The Boss, playing Alyssa Milano’s boyfriend.

“Here we are. 36 years later. My whole adult life & I don’t know it without you. The friendship, love, support, respect & loyalty we had was unconditional and rare. You lit up every room you walked into. You are larger than life & Everyone was drawn to you. So talented & most underrated actor. And most humble. Everything you did was infectious. Your laugh, your kindness, your wit, your strength, your loyalty, your passion, and your zest for life,” she gushed.

Richards went on to reveal just how special Muldoon and their friendship were to her. They have been through thick and thin, including when she paused the friendship during her marriage toCharlie Sheen.

“We’ve been each other’s rock. Our memories together are endless. You’ve had my back and protected me more than anyone. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you here. You’re my voice of reason & pillar of strength. Especially during this last year of pain & heartache. And now I need you more than ever, for this pain and heartache losing you,” Richards expressed.

The Bold and the Beautiful star previously revealed that she and Muldoon would call each other "schweet babe". It was a nickname that came about when they were filming Starship Troopers and became their special name for each other throughout all these years.

“Schweetbabe we’ve had those conversations.. We thought we’d live forever or at least into our 90’s. Schweetbabe I will be looking for those signs. I need to know you’re still here with me. I love you so much & miss you dearly schweetbabe. 💔🙏🪽,” Richards ended her touching tribute.

Richards' daughter Lola also shared a sweet tribute to Muldoon, writing, "I thought you were the one that was supposed be in our lives forever. When I think of my childhood I think of you Pat."

Alongside a photo of her mother and Muldoon in a car, she continued, "And it's gonna be so weird to go on without you in our lives. You were such a huge part of our family and life will never feel the same, but that's just because of how much you impacted us."

As Parade reported, Muldoon’s last public appearance was a month ago with Richards by his side. They were a constant in each other’s lives, with Muldoon even appearing on an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Denise Richards & Her Wild Things. Both shows highlighted their friendship and pure love for each other.

Richards’ heartbreaking tribute is the latest in a string of tributes that have been pouring in for Muldoon. The actor is survived by his parents, Deanna Muldoon and William Patrick Muldoon Sr., his long-time girlfriend, Miriam Rothbart, his sister, Shana Zappa, brother-in-law, Ahmet Zappa, along with his niece, Halo Zappa, and nephew, Arrow Zappa.

Chipotle Brings Back Honey Chicken For Limited-Time Run: 'Best Thing I Ever Tasted'

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 1:10pm

Almost one year after its previous appearance on Chipotle's menu, the fan-favorite Chipotle Honey Chicken is officially returning to restaurant nations across the country starting this spring.

According to a new press release from the brand shared with us over email, the popular protein option will once again find its way to nationwide menus on April 28. The item (which actually turned out to be Chipotle's best-performing protein option upon its debut in 2025) was last seen in August of last year.

A unique, flavorful spin on Chipotle's beloved chicken, the Chipotle Honey Chicken features tangy and zesty chunks of grilled chicken marinated with chipotle peppers and finished with a hint of pure honey.

Through this unique combination, diners are entreated to a flavorful sensation that's equal parts sweet, savory and endlessly delicious, leaving little reason to wonder about its prevalent popularity today.

“Chipotle Honey Chicken set a new standard for our limited-time offerings, and guests started asking for it back almost immediately,” said Stephanie Perdue, Interim Chief Marketing Officer. “It’s proof that when we get flavor and timing right, we create something fans can’t stop thinking about.”

If that weren't already exciting enough, Chipotle also confirmed that, for the first time, the Chipotle Honey Chicken will be available in the brand's recently added High Protein Cup, allowing diners to maximize their protein without getting bogged down in any one of the restaurant's regular add-ons.

To better commemorate the fan-favorite menu item's imminent return, Chipotle will be offering a $0 delivery free on all Chipotle Honey Chicken orders placed online from April 28 to May 11.

While there's no word yet on how long Chipotle's returning protein will be around for, it's worth remembering that Chipotle Honey Chicken will only be around for a limited time. And if past fan reviews are any indication, you'll definitely want to get this cherished menu item sooner rather than later.

As one diner shared on Reddit a few months ago, "Please bring back the Honey Chipotle Chicken, it was the best thing I ever tasted at Chipotle. So good that I don't really want anything else from there, it's just not the same anymore." High praise, indeed!

Adorned with an array of curved details, charming birds, and delicate-looking leaves throughout, this arched trellis can create a gorgeous backdrop for gardens and patios. Shoppers said the elegant design is well-placed, so that the plants fill in the spaces between the decor, giving it an enchanting effect that looks like something out of a storybook.

Made of welded wrought iron with bars nearly 1 inch thick with a powder-coated, weather-resistant finish, this trellis is durable enough to support flowering plants like honeysuckle or bougainvillea, as well as climbing vegetable plants like tomatoes and peppers. Reviewers mentioned that this trellis pushes easily into the ground with stakes on the bottom to keep it sturdy, so it shouldn't topple over.

Measuring just under 60 inches high and 15.5 inches wide, this trellis is ideal for adding to large planters and raised garden beds. Some shoppers said they purchased multiple trellises to place in their flower beds, prop up against the sides of their house, or place against a fence, allowing ivy and other climbers to weave their way through for a decorative look.

Austin Recently Turned 69

Recently, Austin took to Instagram to share a photo of herself stepping outside on her 69th birthday in a floral bikini. With her bouncy blonde hair and phenomenal body, it’s hard to believe she’s 69. It’s safe to say her dedicated fitness regimen is working well!

This isn’t the first time Austin has posted a fun throwback. Back in October, she showed the world how little she’s changed in 30 years by sporting her trademark blue leotard in a side-by-side photo. Paired with blue socks and high-top sneakers, it’s safe to say that the exercise entrepreneur has barely changed in three decades. Staying happy and healthy sure does wonders for the body!
