1959 Classic Film Ranked Among 'Best Movies of All Time'
A good crime drama is riddled with tension as lawyers and witnesses try to uncover the truth behind a murder. A screenplay by Wendell Mayes became an on-screen classic, thanks to director Otto Preminger, and became one of the best trial films ever made.
Hollywood legend James Stewart starred as the lead in the 1959 film Anatomy of a Murder, alongside Lee Remick, Ben Gazzara, Eve Arden, George C. Scott, Arthur O'Connell, Kathryn Grant, Brooks West (Arden's husband), Orson Bean, and Murray Hamilton. The film also starred a real-life lawyer during the Army-McCarthy hearing, Joseph N. Welch. Anatomy of a Murder has been tagged by Rotten Tomatoes as one of the "Best Movies of All Time" with a perfect 100% score.
The film is one of the earliest and best examples of a prime trial movie, and for good reason, thanks to its backstory. Anatomy of a Murder was originally a novel of the same name published by Michigan Supreme Court Justice John D. Voelker. He published the book under a pseudonym and developed the storyline based on a real-life 1952 murder case he presided over.
Anatomy of a Murder focuses on small-town lawyer Paul Biegler (Stewart), who takes on the defense of a U.S. Army lieutenant being accused of murdering an innkeeper who allegedly sexually assaulted his wife. Biegler builds a case on temporary insanity acted upon in a moment of rage. As the trail proceeds, conflicting testimonies, questionable motives, and moral ambiguity blur the line between truth and manipulation. The film soon explores the grey areas of justice and what really happened.
"One of cinema's greatest courtroom dramas, Anatomy of a Murder is tense, thought-provoking, and brilliantly acted, with great performances from James Stewart and George C. Scott," said Rotten Tomatoes.

Critics have called out the film for its length of over two hours, but applauded its ability to deliver a storyline with finesse to keep audiences interested until the final moment. The film did face its hiccups when it was temporarily banned for its use of language not often heard at the time. A court ruled the film used realistic and appropriate language, with words like "contraceptive", (sexual) "climax", and "spermatogenesis" having never been heard before in cinema.
Anatomy of a Murder even led Columbia Pictures to be sued by the daughter of the real-life murder victim in the 1952 case, and was later dismissed. Law professionals have also praised the film for its ability to demonstrate a legal defense, and ranked by the American Film Institute as a classic. It has since been preserved in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress.
Asa Orbison’s New Music Is Rooted in Family, but Uniquely Her Own (Exclusive)
A new collection of music from Asa Orbison blends fresh music with a thoughtful sense of tradition and timeless influence.
In a Parade exclusive Orbison discussed her musical journey and latest project, Swedish Jazz Standards. The LP was produced by her husband, Roy Orbison, Jr., and includes a mix of traditional jazz standards with Swedish lyrics.
Orbison was influenced by songs she grew up listening to. She was fascinated by Swedish artists such as Monica Zetterlund, Alice Babs, and Siw Malmkvist, who came to the United States in the '60s to play with jazz greats like Duke Ellington and Bill Evans.
Her love for jazz continued throughout her adult life. When she met Roy Jr. at a park in Sweden, they clicked immediately and carried on a long-distance relationship before she moved to the United States where they married and welcomed four children: Roy Orbison III, Bo, Love, and Sun.

Orbison said that through their partnership, Roy Jr. came to deeply appreciate jazz music. "Roy was alone in my apartment while I was at work. He would listen to my [jazz] records. Although he was rock and roll, he really got into it."
Today, Roy Jr. acts as his wife's producer. His love of the genre, paired with his deep devotion to his wife, helps shape a body of work that feels both timeless and distinctly personal.
"Roy has a lot of ideas, whether its a horn, or guitar solo, or the way the piano should sound. He's got a very complicated brain and he thinks about the music and works on it all the time," Orbison explained.
The track list for the LP Swedish Jazz Standards includes the songs "Värmlandsvisan,” "“Sakta Vi Gå Genom Stan (Walking My Baby Back Home)," “Lullaby of Birdland,” “En Bedårande Sommarvals (Bluesette),” “I New York,” "“Midnattssolen (Midnight Sun)," “Monicas Vals,” and “Familjen Flinta.”
Roy Jr.’s production creates a strong artistic bridge between the United States and Sweden. He said in a statement, "As a producer, I see Swedish Jazz Standards as a uniquely
well-grounded project, both historically and musically. Asa has a clear artistic direction and an ability to interpret the material with authenticity, while also bringing her own distinct voice to it."
The couple teamed up with legendary Swedish jazz guitarist Ulf Wakenius [who played with legendry jazz pianist Oscar Peterson] for the collection of songs, and his masterful playing adds depth and texture to the project.
Roy said of the collaboration, "I have followed Ulf Wakenius’s work for a long time, and his musicality, precision, and international experience add a level of depth that is essential to the whole. Together, we are creating a production that serves as a natural link between the Swedish jazz tradition and the American standard repertoire.”
The couple’s love of music is generational. Roy Jr.’s father, Roy Orbison Sr., helped shape the sound of early rock and pop with his soaring voice, emotional ballads, and timeless songwriting, leaving behind a catalog of hits that defined an era and influenced countless artists.
Today, the couple’s son, Roy Orbison III, is showing the same passion for music. At just 10 years old, he’s supported not only by his family legacy but by a close-knit circle of friends who feel like family and encourage him along the way.
Orbison explained, "He has already been on stage with Joe Walsh [The Eagles, who is his godfather. Walsh's wife Marjorie is his godmother]. He was six years old when he played 'Rocky Mountain Way' on stage in front of 22,000 people."
View this post on InstagramOrbison added that while other children might have been intimidated, Roy III was excited. She shared he already has a plan for his future; he wants to "get married, be a rock star, retire early and spend time with his family."
Roy Orbison Sr. would have been 90 years old on April 23, 2026. He died in 1988 at 52.
Costco’s ‘Incredible’ New Dessert Is the Perfect Sweet Treat
Absolutely no complaints on the portion sizes here, but sometimes when you find a dreamy new dessert at Costco, you have to stop and ask yourself if you’re game to eat that much of the same thing. Luckily for shoppers at the warehouse giant, a new dessert has been spotted that will satisfy your sweet tooth without requiring a week of meal planning around cake.

“No negative comments from this Costco shopper. These cakes are delicious,” said one rave review, though another felt that it was too sweet for their palate, writing, “Extremely sweet, I couldn’t even taste any flavor because of how sweet it is. It’s a no for me.”

‘Newhart’ Star Julia Duffy Is 74 and Beautiful on the Red Carpet
Julia Duffy rose to stardom as Stephanie Vanderkellen on the TV series Newhart, but the TV staple is looking incredible these days.
The talented actress, 74, tackled the role of Vanderkellen on the popular series, which starred legendary actor Bob Newhart as an author and inn owner in a picturesque Vermont town. Duffy’s character was a spoiled cousin who attempted to serve as the inn’s maid, despite her entitled attitude. She played the role from 1983 until 1990, when the beloved show concluded.
After her most iconic role, Duffy went on to play Allison Sugarbaker on Designing Women and ventured into children’s territory with the popular Nickelodeon series Drake & Josh. Also boasting a successful theatrical career, Duffy delights fans by returning to TV screens as Mary Jones Davidsoul in Palm Royale, the popular Apple TV series that follows the drama of high society in Palm Beach, Florida, starting in 1969. The series also stars Kristen Wiig, Leslie Bibb, Josh Lucas, and comedy icon Carol Burnett.
This week, Duffy hit the red carpet alongside Celeste Hughey for the NBCUniversal Emmy Luncheon at Avra Beverly Hills Estiatorio in Beverly Hills, California. With a natural glow on her face, the actress is truly in her prime.

What Has Julia Duffy Said About Aging in Hollywood? In a 2024 podcast appearance, Duffy spoke about how aging in Hollywood is “very awkward.”
During an appearance on Steve Kmetko’s podcast, Still Here Hollywood, Kmetko asked Duffy if aging in Hollywood had affected her.
“I’ll tell you something that drives me up a wall, because it’s symbolic of all of it,” Duffy said. “I have read for and actually played the role of a woman who’s older, that they have named Myrna — that takes place present day.”
PEOPLE pointed out that the role was for an appearance on Melissa & Joey in 2010.
“Now, I know what people were named who are my age, now. We were Patty and Kathy and Susie. These women that they write in older roles could have been at Woodstock,” said Duffy. “If you’re having them be 70 today in 2024.”
“You have to write the person and not the type. And it is very disappointing to me how much even younger writers seem to be writing Aunt Bee or something when they write an older person and not an individual,” Duffy continued. “I hope they’re listening and I know you have the talent to do it. Make that a real person.”

Former Miss Teen Universe, 27, Found Dead From Gunshot Wound
27-year-old Carolina Flores Gomez, a former beauty queen, was found dead on April 15. According to Reporte Indigo, she was discovered at her home in the Miguel Hidalgo district of Mexico City with a gunshot wound to the head.
“Authorities believe she was killed a day before her body was discovered, leading to suspicions about why her husband, Alejandro Gomez, took so long to call emergency services,” Us Weekly reported.
The police believe that Alejandro and his mother, Erika Maria, were home at the time that the incident occurred. The report stated that Maria is currently the prime suspect in the apparent homicide.
View this post on InstagramUs Weekly also reported, “Building staff did not report hearing gunshots or witnessing any unusual activity at the apartment complex prior to the beauty queen’s untimely death. Forensic teams have reportedly searched the apartment for evidence.”
The Mexico City prosecutor’s office stated that an official investigation into her death has been launched.
“No crime against a woman should go unpunished,” Marina del Pilar Avila, the governor of Mexico’s Baja California state, told reporters. “Our thoughts are with her family during this devastating time.”

Carolina, who was a model and influencer, won Miss Teen Universe for Baja California in 2017. She also earned several local titles in Ensenada, her hometown, which is a port city located on the Pacific coast.
Miss Teen Universe is a global TV pageant that is meant to empower future queens. Their official site describes the competition as “the highest youth beauty contest in the world; and a global entertainment platform, with a staff of great professionals in the industry of beauty contests and international television. We have our own resources and with allied agencies from the world of fashion, advertising, television, film and digital media, to develop micro and macro events of high global impact in all areas.”
Unfortunately, Carolina is not the only pageant queen who has died in the recent months. Raquel Escalante, the woman who was named Miss Intercontinental Guatemala in 2021, died after a battle with cervical cancer in late 2025. Tyra Spaulding, who won Miss Universe Jamaica, died in September 2025 from a suspected suicide.

Proud Parents Kate Middleton and Prince William Share Birthday Video of Prince Louis, ‘8 Is Great’
Prince Louis recently celebrated his eighth birthday, and his proud parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, just shared an absolutely adorable video of their kiddo in honor of the milestone moment.
The royals, they’re just like us. Okay, maybe they aren’t exactly like the rest of us. But the royal children do, at times, have normal-ish lives. And while most of us could only view living in a historic estate, spending time at Kensington Palace, and jet-setting across the globe as normal-adjacent, Kate MiddletonandPrince William do prioritize giving their children…well, a childhood.
In the recent Bday video, Prince Louis does what most eight-year-olds enjoy. He digs in the sand with a kid-sized shovel, jumps into the ocean for a splashy swim, joyfully runs across a beach, and boldly hits a ball while playing cricket.
View this post on InstagramThe Prince and Princess of Wales caption the cute clip, “Thank you for all the birthday wishes for Prince Louis. 8 is great!” Judging by the smile on his face in the video, eight certainly is great.
Royal watchers and fans of the family took to Instagram to send their birthday wishes to the young prince. One commenter pointed out just how down-to-earth the little boy is, “Love seeing the prince’s normal life.” Another added, “Watching him grow from a toddler to an 8-year-old has been wonderful!”
Some commenters compared Louis to his sibling, noting, “He looks like Prince George” and “Looking like his big brother!” One fan even compared the royal to their own child, writing, “Prince Louis shares the same birthday as my son Freddie, who is 11 today. They seem to have very similar (cheeky & fun) personalities & a love for cricket by the looks of it too.”
While Kate Middleton and Prince William are celebrating their eight-year-old’s big day right now, he isn’t the only one who has a birthday this month. April 21 would have been Queen Elizabeth II’s 100th birthday.
View this post on InstagramThe royals recently marked the momentous event with a reception at Buckingham Palace, attended by King Charles, Queen Camilla,Prince William, Kate Middleton, Princess Anne, Princess Alexandra, and plenty of other high-ranking family members.
Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, also commemorated the day by attending the grand opening of The Queen Elizabeth II Garden in The Regent’s Park, London. But the royal tributes didn’t stop there. The princess’s brother, King Charles, visited the British Museum to view a scale model of a new memorial sculpture dedicated to his mother, Queen Elizabeth.
View this post on InstagramBased on all the photos and the new video clip, the royals certainly have a lot to celebrate right now!
I Tried Wall Yoga for 30 Days—the Results Surprised Me
Running is my therapy and exercise of choice. But I've long incorporated yoga into my routine, too. My baseline is "stiff." A neurology nurse practitioner who helps me with my migraines and a physical therapist who treated me for a tendon tear in my right hand were both appalled by the tension I carry in my body (and both of these hot takes came within two months). Also, running half and full marathons puts a lot of wear and tear on my legs, and stretching keeps me flexible.
As a health writer, I've pored over research showing that yoga can help improve flexibility and balance, prevent injuries (I am D-O-N-E done with injuries for 2026, thanks), boost mood and reduce anxiety (yes and yes, please).
I've done lots of different types of yoga over the years, largely thanks to the Peloton library: Power, vinyasa, slow flow and my two favorites, yin and restorative. To date, I have never tried "wall yoga," though I have recently heard of "wall Pilates" (because Pilates has re-entered the zeitgeist). For the uninitiated, wall yoga is precisely what it sounds like: Yoga with the assistance of a wall.
I'm always down for new ways to stretch and relax, given everything I know about the benefits. When my editor offered me the chance to try wall yoga, I jumped on it and started right away. The results were instant and a little surprising. Here's what happened when I tried wall yoga for 30 days.

How I Approached Wall Yoga for 30 DaysBeth Ann Mayer
Unlike some boutique workout modalities (including some forms of yoga, TBH), wall yoga required very little. All I needed was a mat (check), a wall (check) and time.
I did some noodling around YouTube and Google to find some wall yoga moves. I didn't want to overthink things, so I chose five of my favorite moves from other practices I've tried and translated them to wall yoga. Every morning for 30 days, I did:
1. Easy Standing Forward Bend- Stand facing the wall an arm's length away. Position your feet hip-width distance apart.
- Hinge at the hips and keep your back straight as you place your hands on the wall at shoulder height. Spread your fingers and keep a slight knee bend.
- Hold for 30 seconds, breathing deeply and steadily as you do.
- Slowly return to the starting position.
My thoughts: This move was easily my favorite. It was like instant therapy for my tense shoulders and upper back because it put me in a different position than I'm in while hunched over a computer.
2. Chair Pose- Stand with your back to the wall (about six inches away). Place your feet hip-width apart.
- Keep your back (butt included) against the wall as you sink down as if you are about to sit in a chair. Pull the belly button in toward the spine to engage the core.
- Hold for 30 seconds and return to start.
My thoughts: OK, I know I said that I picked my favorite poses. But I have a love-hate relationship with chair pose. I love the strength it builds in my lower body, but I don't particularly enjoy holding it. Having my back against the wall helped me feel strong and supported, though.
3. Wall-Supported Figure Four- Sit with your legs bent in front of the wall, far enough away so you can place your feet at a 90-degree angle in a few steps.
- Roll onto your back slowly.
- Put your legs up onto the wall.
- Bend both knees to 90 degrees, keeping your feet flat against the wall.
- Cross your left ankle over your right thigh, right above the knee. Look closely—you made a four.
- Keep your hands comfy. I kept mine by my sides with my palms up, but sometimes experimented with putting one on the leg crossed over the thigh for a deeper stretch.
- Hold for a minute or longer, breathing deeply.
- Return to start.
- Repeat on the opposite side.
My thoughts: My glutes always need a good stretch. Doing this pose daily was precisely what my butt needed to stay in gear.
4. Wall-Supported Tree Pose- Stand with your back to the wall. Your back should lightly graze the wall.
- Raise your left foot to the side of the right shin (or thigh just above the knee).
- Put your hands into prayer.
- Hold for one minute.
- Slowly return to start.
- Repeat on the opposite side.
My thoughts: Honestly, the best part of this pose was the stillness and breathing. It was pure, wall-supported bliss.

My 30-Day Experience With Wall YogaBeth Ann Mayer
I have absolutely no drawbacks to share after my 30-day experience with wall yoga. Of the many benefits I experienced, my favorites were:
- It became a transition ritual. Working from home removes the commute, which is great because I despise traffic and mass transit delays. Yet, I miss the time to center myself in "work mode." Adding wall yoga at the beginning of each workday gave me a sort of "fake commute."
- I felt mentally focused and more at ease. By incorporating deep breathing into each pose, I felt more relaxed right away and noticed it set the tone for a calmer, more grounded workday, even if I had to hop on a last-minute story or call.
- I can't beat the accessibility. No yoga studio? Traveling? No problems. You can still do wall yoga as long as you have a mat. It's something I can see myself doing this summer while I'm on vacation.
- Wall yoga soothed my stiffness. After 30 days of wall yoga, I feel less strain on my glute muscles, and my back and shoulders crack way less. I'll take every small win I can get.
- I felt more motivated. As I began noticing the benefits of wall yoga, I started incorporating it as part of a lunchtime ritual. It gave me a microbreak from work, and I noticed less stiffness and improved concentration.

Would I Recommend Wall Yoga?I would absolutely recommend wall yoga to anyone looking for more relaxation, ritual, grounding and stretching in their lives. It doesn't require equipment, and its gentle nature is accessible for most people. Here are a few top takeaways and tips for anyone interested in trying wall yoga:
- Make sure you have a soft surface. You don't need a mat. But if you have hardwood floors as I do, you'll want one to protect your back and knees. A towel or blanket could also work.
- Have some space. You'll want to have enough room to stretch your arms and legs in all directions so you don't start knocking into items in your home mid-pose (it's not relaxing to bonk your head on a kitchen chair, trust me).
- Schedule time for it. Carve out time in your day for wall yoga and treat it like an appointment. Even a few minutes can help you feel more relaxed and less stiff.
- Progress if you want. It's totally fine to stick with a couple of minutes of wall yoga once per day and to modify poses. But as you progress, you may want to add another session, hold a pose for longer or raise your foot a little higher on Tree Pose.
- Celebrate small wins. When building a habit, it's so important to have some intrinsic motivation. If you notice your back is less stiff, you could progress a move, or you simply made time for wall yoga, give yourself some credit. You're doing your best.

Hilary Swank, 51, Makes Rare Red Carpet Appearance Two Years After Welcoming Twins
Hilary Swankrarely hits a red carpet these days, but when she does, she certainly packs a punch.
Swank, 51, who kicked off her career on Beverly Hills, 90210 before earning acclaim for roles in films like Boys Don't Cry, Million Dollar Baby, and Conviction, chose to pivot a bit in recent years when she welcomed twin babies, Aya and Ohm, in 2023. But that hasn't stopped her determination to fight for what's right, and the actress was honored on April 22 for her environmental work.
Swank hit the red carpet to receive the Environmental Working Group Changemakers Award in recognition of her role in helping pass California Senate Bill 646, which requires prenatal vitamin manufacturers to test for and disclose levels of potentially harmful heavy metals in their products, the Hollywood Reporter shared. Looking beautiful in blue, the Oscar winner worked the red carpet like a pro.

What Did Swank Say About Receiving the Award?“Receiving the EWG Changemaker Award is a profound honor, but the real victory is the progress we’ve made together with California Senate Bill 646. As a mother, I believe every parent deserves the peace of mind that comes with knowing the vitamins they take to support their pregnancy have been tested for the presence of heavy metals,” Swank said in a statement to the Reporter. “Our health is our greatest asset, and I am proud to stand with EWG and HealthyBaby to ensure that no woman is left in the dark about what she is putting into her body. When we demand better standards, we aren’t just protecting ourselves, we are protecting the next generation.”
Chronicling Her Parenting JourneySince welcoming her two children with husband Philip Schneider in 2023, Swank has done her best to fly under the radar. However, she occasionally shares pictures of her kids on Instagram.
Over the Christmas holiday, the star shared a photo of the tiny tots from behind as they stood in front of the Christmas tree.
"Hope you all had the opportunity to slow down and embrace the big and little magical moments of the Holidays. Wishing you a joyful, healthy, and abundant 2026 from my family to yours 🥰🎄✨," Swank captioned the photo.

‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Cast Then and Now: 20 Years of Fashion
It’s been 20 years since The Devil Wears Prada was released, but with the sequel set to release on May 1, the cast is back together again.
The first film was released in 2006, following aspiring journalist Andy Sachs (played by Anne Hathaway), who takes on a job with Runway magazine to work for Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). The upcoming sequel finds the characters back together, this time following Miranda as she nears retirement.
Hathaway, Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci hit the red carpet on April 20 in New York City to promote the upcoming film. Although 20 years have passed, the stars of The Devil Wears Prada were as stunning as ever.
Hathaway wore a stunning custom red Louis Vuitton gown by Nicolas Ghesquière, along with pink gold Bulgari jewels. People Magazine called the outfit “a very Andy Sachs-coded ensemble,” and named Hathaway People’s World’s Most Beautiful. The 43-year-old actress also wore red to the 2006 premiere, donning a crimson gown with a plunging cowl neck.
At that first premiere, Streep wore a cream satin blouse with a matching knee-length skirt. This time, the 76-year-old opted for a red-orange cape coat from Givenchy’s fall 2026 collection, according to ELLE.
Since fans were desperate to know what Streep would be wearing to the premiere, her stylist, Micaela Erlanger, decided to keep Streep’s outfit a surprise.
“We wanted to throw fans off with a look that photographers would capture her in beforehand,” Erlanger said in an interview with ELLE. “So we put her in this over-the-top Gucci tiger coat that was impossible to miss and so fun on its own. It was like we got to add one more moment, before the big moment.”
View this post on InstagramPerhaps the most striking on the red carpet was Blunt, wearing a Schiaparelli gown from the brand's spring 2026 couture collection. The raffia bodice and tiered skirt were paired with over 300 pearls, from her bracelets to her necklace. Blunt’s jewelry collection was chosen from Mikimoto’s Les Pétales Place Vendôme Rosés collection, according to Vogue.
“I’ve always been drawn to pearls, they have such a timeless feel,” Blunt told the publication. “I’ve long admired Mikimoto for its extraordinary heritage. As the originator of cultured pearls, there’s a real sense of history and artistry behind each piece, which makes wearing their jewelry feel incredibly meaningful.”

View this post on InstagramHow Snooki’s Kids Reacted to Her Cervical Cancer Diagnosis: ‘Are You Dying?’
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, famous for appearing in the Jersey Shore franchise since 2009, appeared on Good Morning America on April 23. The 38-year-old spoke about her recent cervical cancer diagnosis, explaining how her children handled the news.
“[My kids] keep asking, ‘Are you dying?'” she explained. “And I’m like, ‘No, I’m not dying, I’m just sick. And I need to figure it out and then Mommy will be fine.'”
Polizzi has three children that she shares with Jionni LaValle, who she married in a Great Gatsby-themed wedding in 2014. Lorenzo Dominic is 13, Giovanna Marie is 11, and Angelo James is 6.
Even though she doesn’t plan on adding any additional children to her family in the future, the thought of a hysterectomy still worried her. “I hate [the idea of getting a hysterectomy]," she said. "When he first said we have to do this or it’s gonna escalate to stage II—I know I’m done with kids, just knowing that you can’t, I don’t know, it made me feel like I’m not a mom. Even though I’m done.”
In 2022, she spoke candidly about her children with People, explaining that she keeps them as far away from her hit show as possible. "Even if they're 30, I'm like, I don't want you watching that. It's weird," she said. "I mean, even now my kids are 10 and 8 and they're on TikTok and they see old clips and stuff. So they're like, 'Mommy, what are you doing here?' And I'm just like, 'Mommy's a paid actress. They made me do that.'"

Polizzi also revealed that her Jersey Star costars were concerned about her when they found out about her diagnosis. “I consider them my brothers and sisters,” she stated. “I feel like us as a cast, we always said we’ll continue filming until we’re in a nursing home. It’s not over for us. … I’m so glad that [Jersey Shore] happened because I can’t picture my life as anything else.”
Polizzi will be appearing on the final season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation on May 7.
An Unexpected Travel Warning Emerges in Louisiana After Someone Caught This Contagious Illness
Travelers heading to the Gulf Coast may want to add one more item to their pre-trip checklist: health awareness.
Health officials in Louisiana have confirmed a measles case in a child who recently returned from international travel, raising fresh concerns about how quickly illnesses can cross borders and how that impacts everyday travel plans. While a single case may not sound alarming, the context tells a more complicated story.
A Travel-Linked Case That’s Raising EyebrowsAccording to state health authorities, the case is directly linked to international travel, a common thread in measles incidents across the United States. Imported cases often act as the spark that can lead to wider exposure, especially in busy transit hubs or tourist-heavy areas.
This isn’t happening in isolation. Across the country, measles cases have been climbing again in 2026, with more than 1,700 reported cases as of early April. And while that number fluctuates week to week, the broader trend underscores how global travel continues to contribute to the spread of highly contagious diseases.
Measles, in particular, is known for its rapid spread. Health experts note that about 90% of unvaccinated individuals exposed to the virus can become infected. That makes even a single confirmed case worth paying attention to, especially in a travel context.
Why Travelers Should Pay AttentionFor most visitors, there’s no reason to cancel a trip. But this kind of news comes with a reminder: travel today is as much about preparation as it is about the destination.
Airports, hotels, and attractions bring people from around the world together. In previous cases, individuals infected during international trips have passed through major transit points, sometimes exposing others before symptoms even appear.
That’s why health officials often issue advisories; not to cause panic, but to encourage awareness. Travelers heading to Louisiana or anywhere experiencing a reported case should double-check routine vaccinations and stay alert for symptoms like fever, cough, or rash after travel.
A Bigger Trend Behind the HeadlinesWhat makes this story especially relevant for travelers is the bigger national picture.
The U.S. has seen a resurgence in measles in recent years, with thousands of cases reported in 2025 alone and multiple outbreaks tied to travel and vaccination gaps. In some areas, vaccination rates have slipped below the threshold needed for herd immunity, increasing the risk of localized spread.
What It Means for Your Next TripDestinations like New Orleans remain open and welcoming, and public health officials emphasize that the overall risk to the general public is still low. But the reality of modern travel means that health updates are becoming just as relevant as weather forecasts or flight delays.
Before your next trip, consider:
- Checking vaccination status (especially for international travel)
- Monitoring local health updates in your destination
- Being mindful in crowded transit areas like airports
An isolated measles case may not derail travel plans, but it does highlight how interconnected and unpredictable travel has become.

The Most Devoted Birth Months, Ranked
Have you noticed that people born in certain months are either unfailingly loyal or extremely changeable? You may have realized that some of your best friends, partners, colleagues, and more share the same birth months. Likewise, the people who contributed to your greatest heartbreaks and betrayals could also have birthdays that consistently fall within the same months. There’s a reason for why some birth months are devoted while others are unfaithful, and it’s based in astrology.
According to astrologers, the cosmic energy of your birth month proves whether or not you could pass a loyalty test. Some birth months will be unfailingly devoted to friends, partners, causes, and more, regardless of what happens. Other birth months won’t think twice about betraying trust or leaving someone in the dust. Each birth month has distinct attributes that speak to why they are or aren’t loyal. Read on to see how the birth months are ranked by their devotion.
The Most Devoted Birth Months, RankedCheck for the month you were born for pro insights.
Learn more about your birth month:
Born in January | Born in February | Born in March
Born in April | Born in May | Born in June | Born in July
Born in August | Born in September | Born in October
Born in November | Born in December
OctoberNo one is as true blue as those born in October. This birth month’s energy is a combination of commitment-focused Libra and unwavering Scorpio. Everyone born in October is profoundly invested in their connections and circumstances. Their Libra energy wants to keep the connection ongoing, which works well with their possessive Scorpio energy. October won’t be easily swayed from leaving a connection or situation once they’ve committed. It’s highly unlikely that an October-born will throw the towel in. Know that befriending, dating, or working with an October baby means having a life-long connection.
JulyThose born in July are undeniably devoted to their community, family, and more. July babies share Cancer’s family-oriented attitude and Leo’s nobility, which suggests these individuals are in it for the long-haul. They treat each relationship as if the person were family, creating a safe and secure environment for love to grow. Their connections never have to worry, because July will drop everything to be available for them. Aside from relationships, July can be counted on to nurture their obligations and responsibilities with great care. No matter the circumstances or problem, July won’t walk away when the going gets tough.
RELATE?: The 4 Birth Dates With the Most Unbreakable Willpower
JanuaryCount on January to show up and get the job done. January babies share the responsible nature of Capricorn and the loyalty of Aquarius. Sure, January might have Aquarius-like moments where they want to break free and do whatever. Ultimately, their humanitarian spirit and accountable attitude wins out. January-born want to build lasting connections and success, so they will do whatever it takes to get there. They will be unwaveringly focused on completing their goals. January won’t be afraid to work hard on creating and maintaining meaningful, long-term connections. Between their steadiness and reliability, January is known for their trustworthiness.
AugustTried and true people have birthdays in August. These individuals can thank steadfast Leo and hardworking Virgo for their dedicated spirits. August-born take immense pride in their ability to be an outstanding friend, secure partner, and accountable colleague. Their pride fuels their steadfastness, which is then channeled into their work ethic. August stops at nothing to improve their relationships, as well as their obligations and arrangements. Their commitments and connections are a reflection of themselves. Having strong relationships and obvious loyalty in their arrangements keeps August devoted to continuing their endeavors.
NovemberSomeone in November will expect the world in exchange for their faithfulness. November-born are co-ruled by transformative, possessive Scorpio and explorative, expensive Sagittarius. These individuals take their relationships and obligations to heart. They will stop at nothing to invest and transform whatever they’re committed to. Whether it’s improving a partnership or uplifting an obligation, November-born will push for greatness. Although they bring a lot of pressure, November can be counted on to follow through thanks to their unwavering devotion. Just know that November expects their dedication to transpire into something greater.
SeptemberBeing born in September means taking great care of commitments and relationships. September’s cosmically ordained devotion is thanks to altruistic Virgo and commitment-oriented Libra. September’s Virgoan characteristics speak to being helpful and dutiful, and their Libran traits encourage them to prioritize commitments and relationships. As expected, all September-born will work tirelessly to uphold their partnerships and arrangements. They can be counted on to be a loyal, devoted companion. However, these individuals might be faithful due to anxiety and fear of disrupting the peace as opposed to being steadfast out of love. Still, loyalty is loyalty.
AprilApril is surprisingly more loyal than expected. This birth month’s cosmic combination of warrior Aries and steady Taurus suggests that April-born will put effort into their relationships and obligations. People born during April will give someone or something all of their might. They will spare no energetic expense to make a connection, goal, or obligation work. Having a fighting attitude fuels their devotion, so they won’t walk away without putting up a good fight first. However, April won’t hesitate to end something once they know they’ve given a connection or arrangement all they’ve got.
MarchShould they stay or should they go? This question often pops up for March-born, since these people are a mix of idealistic Pisces and assertive Aries. On the one hand, March will devote love and empathy to make something work. They will try their best to see the positives of a person or situation. On the other hand, March will also feel the fire of annoyance and frustration burning within them when there’s zero improvement in a situation or relationship. People with this birth month will stay longer than expected, but they will also leave once their anger outweighs their devotion.
FebruaryPeople born in February aren’t as loyal as they’d like to be, given that they’re co-ruled by freedom-loving Aquarius and fantastical Pisces. February-born might idolize someone or something to the point of becoming committed. It’s not unusual for these individuals to romanticize a situation, person, or arrangement. Although they hope to find something worthwhile and profound in their commitments or partnerships, February will end things once the spell breaks. Know that it’s over the moment February takes off their rose-colored glasses. Unfortunately, February struggles communicating why they’re backing out, which leaves the other party in the dark.
MayWhy be tied down? All May-born often wonder this, because they’re a combination of value-oriented Taurus and unpredictable Gemini. May has great potential to be devoted, but only if there’s something in it for them. People with this birth month don’t readily commit to a person, obligation, or goal unless they’re one hundred percent sure it will be worthwhile. As a result, they hesitate to commit to new relationships or arrangements for fear of wasting their precious time and resources. Even if they are committed, May will end things before something even starts if it means avoiding unnecessary burnout and boredom.
READ: Which Houseplant Matches Your Birth Month
JuneJune isn’t as devoted as expected, thanks to being co-ruled by changeable Gemini and fickle Cancer. The cosmic mix of June speaks to being wishy-washy when it comes to commitment. June-born might be initially enthralled by the idea of a new relationship or opportunity, but their excitement dies when it’s time to actually commit. They’re not all-in, because they struggle with the responsibility and investment a commitment or relationship demands. Haphazardly backing out at the last minute doesn’t look good, but June would rather be free than trapped in something they’re not excited about.
FURTHER: The 4 Most Endearing Birth Dates
DecemberUnfortunately, one birth month had to be last and this goes to December. Those born in December are a mix of changeable Sagittarius and success-driven Capricorn. All December-born are initially loyal to a cause, commitment, or relationship; however, they will move on from someone or something that’s proving to be more work than what it's worth. December-born are picky about who or what they devote time, energy, and resources to. If something isn’t proving to be a good source of energy and attention, December will pull back. Try not to take it personally—it’s just business for December.

Disney Just Partnered With Brooks for the Cutest Race Day Sneakers, but They’re Already Selling Out on eBay
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
If you’ve ever clocked a 20,000-step day at Disney, you know the "best park shoe" debate almost always ends with one name: Brooks. But if you were hoping to snag the brand’s latest Disney x Brooks Springtime Surprise collection at retail prices, the window has officially closed. The 2026 runDisney Expo wrapped last week, and these limited-edition kicks have moved straight to the secondary market—where real-time prices are already topping $300 for the most coveted pairs.
For the uninitiated, paying double for a running shoe might seem wild, but for the Disney community, these aren't just sneakers; they are highly engineered survival gear. As Heather Thomas from WDW Prep Schoolrecently noted, finding a shoe that can handle that 20,000-step daily average is critical: "The Brooks Ghost is well known for its neutral cushioning. They are supportive but not stiff. They are the 'Goldilocks' of walking shoes and just right for almost everyone." It's that kind of track record that makes these limited drops "hot" the second they hit the floor.

Here is the current state of the resale market for the "Friendship" collection:
- Genie Glycerin 23: This is the heavyweight champion of the drop. Inspired by the magic lamp with a metallic gold outsole and a tiny Genie hidden on the heel, it’s Brooks’ premier cushion model. On eBay, new pairs are currently listed between $280 and $300.
- Tigger & Pooh Ghost 17: These are asymmetrical and adorable, with Tigger on the left and Pooh on the right. Because of the unique design, they are a high-demand collector's item, currently trending around $399.99 on resale sites.
- Chip 'n' Dale Ghost 17: Offering a nod to the mischievous duo with black and red stitching to represent the pair, these are slightly more "accessible" but still holding strong at roughly $225-299 on the secondary market.
- Mickey Mouse Ghost 17: A returning fan-favorite featuring 3D details like a tufted Mickey silhouette on the heel, these are still fetching a premium of about $200+ depending on the size.
If you’re ready to bite the bullet and pay the "Disney tax" to save your feet, I recommend heading to eBay and filtering strictly for the "Authenticity Guarantee." While you might see these shoes on sites like StockX for slightly lower starting bids, I’m generally hesitant to recommend them for this specific drop. On StockX, you can't see real-time photos of the actual pair you are buying, and with asymmetrical designs like the Tigger/Pooh pair, you want to verify the placement and condition of those character details yourself.

By sticking to eBay’s verified listings, you get third-party inspection and the peace of mind that your $300 investment is the real deal. For the 20,000-step crowd who wants that perfect mix of "Disney Adult" style and marathon-level support, it’s a steep price to pay—but your arches will definitely thank you by the time the fireworks start at Magic Kingdom.
If you want to avoid the $300 resale trap next time, your best move is to head over to the Brooks runDisney hub and sign up for alerts so you can snag them at retail the second they drop.

Viral Musical Based on ‘The Odyssey’ to Become an Animated Movie With the Help of Jerry Bruckheimer
Homer has become the center of Hollywood lately.
With Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey set to release this July, the 2,700-year-old beloved piece of Greek literature has been getting some extra attention lately. But long before Nolan’s film was announced, Jorge Rivera-Herrans was working on Epic: The Musical.
Featuring vocalists like Mason Olshavsky and Troy Doherty, Epic has just been picked up by the producer of Top Gun and Pirates of the Caribbean, Jerry Bruckheimer, to become an animated movie.
Rivera-Herrans’ concept album follows Odysseus as he battles a cyclops, finds the land of the Lotus eaters, and gets trapped on Calypso’s island. Epic takes a new approach to the classic story, which gained the attention of millennials and Gen Z-ers on TikTok.
As Rivera-Herrans began posting about his creative process for the musical on TikTok in 2021, his audience started to grow. By the time the musical sagas started to release in 2022, some of the EPs became No. 1 on iTunes.
In 2023, Rivera-Herrans signed with Kevin Weaver’s Atlantic Music Group, which helped with physical product and merchandising. Weaver recently worked with Bruckheimer on F1: The Album, based on the film, which grossed over $634 million worldwide.
“The truth is, I am completely speechless, and I am completely over the moon,” Rivera-Herrans said in an Instagram video announcing the upcoming movie. “Today, a huge announcement was made, and I just wanted to take a second to express my gratitude for all of you. … I can’t believe how far we’ve come, and I’m so thankful for every single one of you for believing in me.”
View this post on InstagramFans quickly took to Rivera-Herrans’ comment section to express their excitement for the movie.
“So well deserved,” one user commented on Instagram. “thank you for creating something that has brought along some of the best memories and people of my young adult life. you, your passion & the culmination of all that are so loved.”
“OMG, I’m crying,” another fan commented. “This is so so amazing.”
Olshavsky also commented on the post, saying, “I SEE SUCCESSSSSSS👀👀 YESS JORGE IM SO PROUD OF YOU NO ONE IS MORE DESERVING! So much love bro.”
While a release date hasn’t been set for the upcoming animated movie, Rivera-Herrans is continuing to release merchandise based on Epic. Winion (Lotus Eater) plushies will be released on April 24. Watch Rivera-Herrans’ recent video for more information:

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
You've probably seen "pheromone perfume" for women all over your social media feeds lately, promising to make you irresistibly magnetic to every person in the room. Before you write it off as a gimmick—or before you fall for every hype-fueled TikTok claim (join the club!)—it helps to understand what these fragrances actually are and what they can realistically do.
Unlike your classic floral or gourmand scents that are engineered purely to smell beautiful, pheromone perfumes are designed with a different goal entirely: to work beneath the surface of traditional fragrance and tap into something a little more primal. The concept has been around for decades, but advances in synthetic chemistry have pushed it firmly into the mainstream conversation.
The science is genuinely fascinating (if more nuanced than the marketing would have you believe)! Humans do respond to chemical signals, and certain synthetic molecules can mimic those responses in ways that feel magnetic, warm and deeply personal. The result isn't a love potion. It's something more interesting: an amplifier that makes your natural chemistry work harder for you. Think less "spell" and more "confidence you can spritz on." Sounds intoxicating!
The world of luxury fragrance is full of options promising magnetic pull, but pheromone perfumes operate in their own category—somewhere between science and sensation. To cut through the noise, we talked to Savannah Britt, founder of The Fragrance Affair, a luxury perfume bar that specializes in bespoke scent experiences, about how these fragrances actually work, what ingredients make them effective and which 12 are genuinely worth your money—including the one she calls the "real deal."
Related: 11 Perfumes Women Over 50 Get the Most Compliments On, According to Fragrance Experts
What Is a Pheromone Perfume?A pheromone perfume isn't just a regular fragrance with provocative marketing. According to Britt, these formulas use synthetic molecules engineered to mirror the body's innate chemical cues—and that distinction matters.
"Traditional fragrances are designed to be smelled, but pheromone perfumes are designed to be felt," she says. "By using synthetic versions of the body's natural signals, they bypass the usual scent experience and tap straight into the subconscious."
While a classic fragrance announces itself—the moment someone walks into a room trailing a bouquet of flowers—a pheromone perfume operates differently. It's less about projection and more about pull.

Yes, but not in the way the marketing suggests. Britt is clear that these work best as an "amplifier," not a spell. She traces her own conversion to the category back to the first time she encountered Le Labo's Another 13. The scent subtly amplified “personal magnetism” in a way she couldn't quite name.
"It smelled so good that it almost didn't smell like a perfume," she recalls. "It had this 'halo effect' about it that just awakened you."
The most persistent myth is that pheromone perfumes make strangers fall for you on the spot. They don't. What they do, Britt explains, is take the edge off and make you appear more approachable, and that's not nothing!
"Perfume in general can echo an aura anywhere you go," she says. A pheromone-forward formula just turns that aura up a notch.
Related: These 7 Perfumes Actually Last All Day Long, Fragrance Expert Reveals
What Ingredients Are Used in Pheromone Perfumes? In the fragrance world, "pheromone" functions almost as a catchall for any ingredient that creates a magnetic, skin-like quality. Britt's personal favorites are White Musk, Ambroxan and Iso E Super, and she's seen the pull of these notes firsthand at The Fragrance Affair. She describes White Musk as "that skin-like touch that doesn't make a perfume so robust and literal. It makes it feel more lived in."
These molecules aren't just buzzwords. Ambroxan—derived from ambergris—is responsible for that addictive, radiant quality in fragrances like Dior Sauvage. Iso E Super, a synthetic cedar molecule, creates a subtle woody halo that seems to shift with your body heat. The result across all three is a fragrance that feels less like something you applied and more like something you simply emanate.
Related: How To Make Perfume Smell Subtle—Not Overpowering—After 50, Expert Reveals
How To Choose the Best Pheromone Perfume for YouBlind-buying is risky here. Body chemistry is wildly individual, and the same fragrance can smell completely different on two people. That’s why Britt always recommends testing on skin first. She also makes an interesting point about where the pheromone note actually lives in a formula.
"Sometimes it's not about the pheromone note being the base note in the perfume," she says. "Often, it's that little cherry on top that brings it all together and gives the fragrance an underlying sensory depth."
Scent profile matters too. If you gravitate toward clean, fresh everyday fragrances, a skin-musk like Dedcool Xtra Milk or Le Labo Santal 33 is a natural entry point. If you want something with more presence and dark magnetism, Another 13 or Prague Nights delivers that quality in full force.
Related: A Perfumer Says This Is the Best Place To Apply Fragrance
How To Apply Pheromone Perfume for the Best ResultsBritt's personal layering routine has three steps: perfume oil on the pulse points first, then a generous body mist from head to toe, then the perfume itself applied to both skin and clothing. Why? Well, the logic is pretty easy to follow.
"Pheromone perfumes sync up with your skin's natural oils to create a scent that actually gets better as the hours go by," she explains.
Pulse points—wrists, chest, behind the ears—matter because the warmth of those areas activates the fragrance and helps it radiate. And if you want maximum staying power, moisturizing before application makes a real difference by giving the fragrance something to hold onto.

Best Luxury: Mugler Alien Goddess Intense, $150 Shop It at SephoraA creamy, sun-drenched wrap of ambered jasmine and toasted coconut that feels like fireworks on a private island. Bold, sensual and unmistakably luxurious—this is the pick when you want to walk into a room and make it known.
Best Subtle: Al-Rehab Choco Musk, $10Amazon
Shop It on AmazonDon't let the price fool you—this is a cult favorite for a reason. A nostalgic, sugar-spun cloud of milk chocolate, toasted marshmallow and creamy vanilla, Choco Musk is the softest possible introduction to pheromone fragrances. It stays close and warm throughout the day, never projecting aggressively, which makes it ideal for anyone who wants the effect without the announcement.
Best Musky: Le Monde Gourmand Fleur De Blonde, $21ULTA
Shop It at UltaA cozy "clean girl" staple that captures the airy sweetness of a cashmere sweater—powdery violet and blonde woods with serious staying power. If you want something that reads as effortlessly chic and smells like laundered luxury, this is the one. It's the fragrance equivalent of looking like you woke up like this.
Best for Layering: Ariana Grande Cloud, $72Amazon
A modern cult classic with a genuinely useful superpower: Cloud plays beautifully with other fragrances, floating between fluffy marshmallow sweetness and a sophisticated molecular musk that acts as the perfect base. Layer it underneath something darker and warmer and you'll get a completely new scent experience. Its softness never competes—it only elevates.
Beast Mode: The Fragrance Affair Prague Nights, $70The Fragrance Affair
Shop It at The Fragrance AffairThis is the one you reach for when you want to walk into a room and own it. Britt created Prague Nights herself, and she describes it as a scent for "the woman who walks into the lobby bar smelling like good trouble"—a dark, magnetic fusion of tart berries and salty ambergris grounded in deep, shadowy woods and skin-hugging musk. It's bold, confident and leaves an impression long after you've left.
Best Fresh/Clean: Le Labo Santal 33, $110Le Labo
Shop It at Le LaboAn icon for a reason. Santal 33 is a dry, smoky fusion of papyrus and leathery sandalwood that captures the atmospheric heat of an open fire and desert air. The pheromone quality here comes from its uncanny ability to read as skin—warm, clean, lived-in skin that pulls people closer. Fresh without being sharp, woody without being heavy.
Best Fruity Musk: Lattafa Ana Abidyedh Coral, $18Amazon
Shop It on AmazonA bright, tropical burst of berries and salt-tinged ambergris that smells like expensive, sun-kissed skin at a beach club. Playful and warm at the same time, with just enough musk underneath to give it that magnetic, hard-to-define quality. At this price point, it's one of the best-kept secrets in the pheromone fragrance space.
Best Gourmand: Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow, $150Sephora
Shop It at SephoraIrresistible in the most literal sense. A sugary fluff of strawberry marshmallow grounded by musk mallow and a bright lemon note, Boujee Marshmallow is what happens when a gourmand fragrance actually has depth. The musk mallow is the super key; it keeps the sweetness from tipping into candy territory and anchors everything in something warm and personal.

Drew Barrymore’s Daughter Frankie Is Absolutely Adorable on Her 12th Birthday
Drew Barrymore's daughter Frankie is absolutely adorable on her 12th birthday.
The beloved actress and TV host, 51, who rose to superstardom as a child actor in films like Irreconcilable Differences and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, became a Hollywood heavyweight during her comeback in the ’90s when she starred in films like Poison Ivy, Boys on the Side, and Scream. These days, the mom of two daughters is the host of The Drew Barrymore Show, a popular chat show that welcomes some of the biggest stars in the world. Her ex-husband, Will Kopelman, took to Instagram to celebrate their younger daughter's 12th birthday with a series of sweet photos of the girl as she has grown up. With her Bernese Mountain Dog by her side, Frankie looks elated to hit the big 12.
"The tradition continues…HAPPY BDAY FRANKIE!!! They bloom for you kid 🌸🩷," Kopelman captioned the photos, which show his daughter under the blooming trees in the park.

Kopelman married Alexandra Michler, director of fashion development for Vogue, in August 2021. The couple has since welcomed two sons: Hugh and John.
What Has Drew Barrymore Said About Aging? While Barrymore is more proud than ever of her two daughters, Olive and Frankie, she's also been very open about her own aging journey.
“Aging is a privilege that I will never take for granted,” Barrymore captioned a recent video, which showed the star glancing in the bathroom mirror and zooming in on the wrinkles on her face. She mouthed expressions of joy and exasperation, which are often hard to find on stars who overdo it with injectables like Botox and fillers.
“Aging is a privilege. It is not something to fear,” read the text written on the video.
View this post on Instagram Reflecting on the Hardest Decades of Her LifeWhile Barrymore’s posts about aging are positive, she’s also weathered plenty of hard times. This fall, on an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Barrymore reflected on some of her most difficult moments with guest Matthew McConaughey.
“From 10 to 20 was the hardest decade of my life. I made a lot of mistakes. I had to pick myself back up. It was messy as can be. It’s my favorite decade,” she recalled.
“Forty to 50 was also when I didn’t think it could get any harder than that,” she said. “And a lot of things happened in my life — especially once kids are involved — I was like, ‘Oh, there is room under bottom. A whole bunch of it! And I just found it.’”
While she didn’t get too descriptive, Entertainment Weekly surmised that Barrymore was referring to her split from Kopelman in 2016, when she was 41.
Despite the hardships, Barrymore came out the other end much stronger.
“I put in a decade of self-improvement, self-awareness, and radical changes,” she said. “So all this work led up to, ‘Oh my god, time is our most precious commodity.’”
35-Year-Old Mall Retailer Closes 62 Stores Across the United States
In September 1990, a tiny retailer opened its doors in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Originally the beauty line for Express, Bath & Body Works eventually expanded to become a mall staple across the United States, Canada, and other international locations.
With a rotating cast of seasonal fragrances in beauty and home, including its beloved candle line, Bath & Body Works has racked up a cult following over its 35-year history, but as consumer habits shift away from brick-and-mortar and towards online shopping, the brand has had to shift its strategy to keep up with demand.

In its full-year 2025 earnings release, Bath & Body Works revealed that it shuttered a whopping 92 stores, including 62 stores in the United States. An additional 30 stores, including two travel retailers, were closed internationally.
Masslive reports that the bulk of those closures were in mall-based locations, and that the brand’s new store openings, including 21 in the fourth quarter, primarily took place in off-mall locations. In total, Bath & Body Works opened 94 new stores in the United States, 70 international stores, and four international travel retail stores in fiscal year 2025.

In February, Bath & Body Works partnered with Amazon to bring some of its most popular products and fragrances to the e-commerce giant. A curated collection of Bath & Body Works products can now be found on Amazon in the United States, including body care items and home fragrances in fan-favorite fragrances like Mahogany Teakwood, A Thousand Wishes, and Champagne Toast.
“We are making progress, but transformations of this scale take time. We are undertaking a comprehensive, end-to-end evolution of our business - building a Bath & Body Works that is more innovative, more relevant, and easier to shop. This work lays the foundation for sustained, long-term growth as we reposition the company from a specialty retailer to a premier global brand,” said Daniel Heaf, chief executive officer of Bath & Body Works.
