1976 Rock Classic, Famously Resurged 28 Years Later, Became a Breakthrough Radio Anthem

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 8:51pm

Fifty years ago, the iconic '70s rock group Heart released "Crazy on You," a track that would become a massive rock radio staple and experience a major resurgence in the early 2000s.

Released in March 1976 as a single from their debut studio album Dreamboat Annie, "Crazy on You" was a breakthrough success. Even though it never topped the Billboard Hot 100, it still reached the No. 35 spot—an impressive feat for a debut single. "Crazy on You" is largely considered the band's big break, serving as the catalyst for their decades-long career.

The single's success can be largely attributed to its heavy rotation on the airwaves. Following its release, Album-Oriented Rock (AOR) station DJs across the U.S. began frequently spinning the track, further propelling its popularity on the charts.

Since its original rise to fame, "Crazy on You" has experienced a few different comebacks that have kept the track alive. One of its most memorable resurgences happened in 2004 when hip-hop superstar Eminem sampled its driving guitar riff and chorus hook for his song "Crazy in Love" from the album Encore. Its popularity among younger demographics and hip-hop fans revived the track for new audiences, helping to expand the rock classic's reach.

Today, the song remains a staple on classic rock radio stations, thriving on channels such as WAXQ (Q104.3) in New York, KYMT (93.1 The Mountain) in Las Vegas and WWSK (94.3 The Shark) in Long Island. It also continues to find immense success on streaming platforms, totaling over 265 million streams on Spotify alone, proving its unique ability to seamlessly endure for generations.

Produced by Mike Flicker through Mushroom Records label, "Crazy on You" is instantly recognizable for its iconic acoustic guitar intro. The lightning-fast, finger-picked instrumental, composed and played by guitarist Nancy Wilson, stands as one of the greatest guitar performances in Heart's discography. To capture the signature momentum going into the main electric section, Wilson played her fingers raw in the studio, crafting a flawless transition that seamlessly bridges the acoustic and electric segments of the song.

Fast Food Fans Are Debating the Best French Fries, and These Chains Came Out on Top

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 8:43pm

People who love fast food have plenty of interesting options to try out these days. But even with so many innovative chains and interesting promotions going on, you can usually depend on fries being on most menus. But what chains have the best French fries? That's what one fan on Reddit attempted to answer in a recent popular thread.

One person posed the question to fans on the internet, simply writing, "Best Fast Food French fry?" Alongside a photo of a bunch of different fast food fry options, they kickstarted the conversation with their thoughts, saying, "My vote goes to McDonalds overall, but five guys is also great."

With over 850 comments, people had plenty to say about this topic, and quickly, fans started sharing and defending their favorites. The top upvoted comment might not surprise a lot of people, with one person writing, "If they're hot as a volcano, it's the ones from McDonald's."

Others agreed, such as one who declared, "The only answer. Properly cooked, and hot MCd fries with the right amount of salt-contend w the best from anywhere." But another thing a lot of people agreed on was that McDonald's fries need to be hot and fresh to be the best.

Of course, there were also a lot of other chains mentioned in the thread. As for the second and third most popular comments, these are likely to stun some fans. The runner-up was Arby's curly fries, while close behind came Checkers and Rally's fries.

Fans of Arby's fries replied, "This is the only true answer," and "I dont even eat arbys but yes they have tha BEST FRY." Meanwhile, supporters of the third option were just as confident in their choice. A few commented, "THANK YOU!!! Never included and they’re the obvious winner," and "Always overlooked and they are clearly the best."

While these were the clear winners in the thread, many more chains were mentioned in the conversation. This included Five Guys, KFC, Del Taco, and Bojangles, among others.

Inside Jelly Roll's Medical Emergency Right Before His Split from Bunnie Xo

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 8:43pm

Jelly Roll experienced a medical emergency just days before the news of his divorce from Bunnie Xo broke.

In a TikTok video from June 11, the country singer revealed he "went to the hospital" the previous night at Novant Health. He shared it was the first night since touring with Post Malone that he wasn’t able to join in singing “Losers.”

"So, I went to the hospital last night in Charlotte, North Carolina," he said in the video. "Shout out to that whole hospital. They literally got me on my feet for the show."

Jelly Roll shared he was battling a sinus infection. "I was puffy-faced," he said, adding, “It was just bad”

The “Wild Ones” singer said the doctors "gave me a bunch of steroids."

While recovering, Post Malone sent his tour mate a sweet message.

"The next night, he sends me a big flower bouquet," Jelly Roll said, holding the accompanying note that read, "Get well soon, Mofo! Love Ya."

The gesture meant a lot to the singer.

"I love you Post, when I say on stage every night that Post Malone is the nicest human in the world. I'm not making that up," Jelly Roll said. "[He's] the most normal dude in the world. Like I love you, Post."

This TikTok was posted less than a week before the news that Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo, are divorcing.

In May, the 41-year-old singer filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tennessee, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The outlet cited sources that claim their divorce is a “mutual decision by the two and a private family matter.”

Jelly Roll took Bunnie's name out of his Instagram bio after the filing became public. He previously used "Music Man," with lock and key emoji and Bunnie's Instagram handle. Now, it just reads, "Music Man."

The Swedish metalcore band just announced a massive 2026 tour trekking across the country, hitting 22 cities along the way. Kicking off Nov. 13 in Worcester, Massachusetts, the band is making stops in New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Austin, Denver, Sacramento, and more. Their final show is set for Dec. 13 in Montreal, Canada

View this post on Instagram

Speaking with Wall of Sound about their approach to live shows, lead vocalist and violinist Eddie Berg said the band puts the music first, no matter what.

“It's just us going up on the stage with minimum equipment and nothing else," he said. "It always takes you back a little bit and makes you feel like you shouldn't take anything for granted. It's always the music first."

Dying Wish, a melodic metalcore band from Portland, Oregon, and Gaerea, a Portuguese extreme and black metal band, will be on hand for the entire tour, which will see Imminence perform their 2024 album, The Black.

Presale began today, June 17, and the general sale starts Friday, June 19, at 10 a.m. local time. Reminders and tickets are here.

Founded in 2009, the Swedish metalcore band with Berg and guitarist Harald Barrett at the helm, along with bassist Christian Höijer and lead guitarist Alex Arnoldsson, has a signature sound that blends classical strings with heavy metal.

“Few bands become drenched in fanfare in quite the way Imminence have,” WOS writes. “Imminence have long captivated audiences with their alluring mysteriousness, often encased in an ethereal and otherworldly capsule - both musically and aesthetically.

“In recent years, this traction has only grown, with many people not just adoring their lyrical depth and emotional grasp, but instrumental diversity. Colloquially donning the title of ‘violincore,’ Imminence are in a league of their own.”

The “violincore” rockers made their debut with I in 2014. Since then, they have released five full-length albums including The Black, Turn the Light On, andThe Reclamation of I, a 10th-anniversary re-recording of their debut album.

Most recently, the band released “The Sword That Never Bends,” a standalone single accompanied by a music video offering, per a press release, the “first glimpse into a larger visual world the band has been building behind the scenes.”

'90s Rock Band Announces New Dates Amid First Tour in 28 Years

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 8:29pm

For years, an Acid Bath reunion seemed like little more than wishful thinking among metal fans.

Now, the influential Louisiana sludge metal band is adding even more dates to its long-awaited return to touring, announcing three new U.S. shows in 2026.

Acid Bath will join Ministry for co-headlining performances at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Sept. 15 and Chicago's Salt Shed Outdoors on Oct. 3, with Windhand opening both shows and Twin Tribes also appearing at Red Rocks. The band has also added an Aug. 21 headlining date at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City, where Obituary and Thou will serve as support.

The dates are part of the band's first tour in 28 years and continue an increasingly busy reunion schedule.

The latest additions come after Acid Bath spent much of the past year steadily expanding its comeback. What began as a handful of reunion appearances has grown into an extensive run of festival performances and headline shows, giving fans multiple chances to see a band that many never expected to return to the stage.

"It's really energizing, spiritually," frontman Dax Riggs told Revolver of the tour. "It's like so much love. It's like a cannon of love directed at you, just blasting you and recharging your mojo."

Formed in Louisiana in the early 1990s, Acid Bath developed a devoted underground following despite releasing just two studio albums, When the Kite String Pops and Paegan Terrorism Tactics. The band's distinctive blend of sludge metal, doom, hardcore and Southern rock helped make it one of the genre’s most influential acts, even after its original run came to an abrupt end in 1997 following the death of bassist Audie Pitre.

For decades, a reunion appeared unlikely. While rumors occasionally surfaced, surviving members repeatedly downplayed the possibility of getting back together.

That finally changed when the band announced its return in 2024, setting the stage for its first live performances in nearly three decades.

"I had already wanted to get back together with them, because they're my friends," Riggs told The Current. "I'm overflowing with excitement for how things sound now, and the icing on the cake is that the world has gone crazy for Acid Bath. Now we have a reason to hang out and be with our friends again."

Since then, Acid Bath has continued adding shows across North America and Europe, including a run with System of a Down and Queens of the Stone Age next summer.

With each new date, Acid Bath's comeback continues to grow beyond what many fans imagined possible. Nearly 30 years after the band's final performance, one of sludge metal's most revered names is once again building momentum on the road.

'We Not Too Old!' Geena Days Says This 1996 Thriller Needs a Sequel

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 8:12pm

Samuel L. Jackson received his sole Oscar nomination at the 1995 ceremony for Pulp Fiction. A year later, an action-thriller of his was released, which the prolific actor says is his favorite that he's starred in.

The cast of The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996) is also led by Geena Davis, who recently opened up to Deadline about the now-30-year-old hit, saying that it's her "favorite, too."

“I’m supposed to say Thelma & Louise because that movie is irreplaceable, but I have to say, I had so much fun with Sam and we’ve always wished that we could do a sequel," she told the entertainment outlet in an interview article published Wednesday, June 17.

The Long Kiss Goodnight was directed by Renny Harlin (Davis' then-husband) and written by Shane Black (who also penned Lethal Weapon). Both are still active in Hollywood, so a follow-up movie with the original gang sounds good to us!

Here's the official synopsis offered on Rotten Tomatoes, where the film is "certified fresh" by both critics and audiences:

"Schoolteacher and single mother Samantha Caine (Davis) lives an average suburban life — until she begins having strange memories of unexplained violence and discovers that she has physical skills that she never imagined. Hiring private detective Mitch Hennessey (Jackson) to probe into her past, Samantha discovers that she's a well-trained government assassin who went missing after suffering a bout of amnesia and that her former handlers want her back in their employ."

“In fact, people might not know, but we changed the ending [of the movie] so that Sam’s character was alive,” Davis also told Deadline. “In the original script, he dies and we were like, ‘No, no, no, no, no. We want to be able to do a sequel if it happens.’ But it probably still could. We’re not too old!”

‘90s Comedy Sequel Teased by Its Star

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 8:00pm

Yeah, baby! Mike Myers has teased that Austin Powers may return for a fourth film.

Asked by a fan on Trevor Noah’s World Cup Watch Party whether there would be an Austin Powers 4, Mike Myers responded quickly with a “yes.”

View this post on Instagram

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery debuted in 1997 and became a pop culture phenomenon. The film followed a 1960s secret agent who had been stuck in ice for thirty years and was defrosted in the 1990s. The comedy films were a satire of James Bond and were a love letter to Meyer's obsession with the British spy franchise.

Two sequels followed, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and 200's Austin Powers in Goldmember. The films also starred Elizabeth Hurley, Seth Green and Michael York and spawned catchphrases and infinite Halloween costumes.

Although the spy has been left frozen in the early 2000s, Myers has recently reprised his Dr. Evil character from the movies in Verizon commercials and on Saturday Night Live.

In 2020, the director of all three movies, Jay Roach, also teased a fourth Austin Powers movie, admitting it was all depending on the actor. "I wouldn't say 'never' never, but it does depend on Mike having something that he's inspired about, and after all these years it hasn't quite clicked yet," the filmmaker told Deadline. "But I'm always game for anything he wants to do. He's a genius, and he helped me get started, and it was a blast."

Mike Myers has previously addressed the chances of Austin Powers returning. He told Today in 2022 that: "I would love to do one. Yeah, yeah, yeah."

In May 2024, speaking with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award Gala, Myers explained there were absolutely more stories to tell in the Austin Powers world.

“I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or non-existence of such a project," he said about Austin Powers 4, before hinting at a future plot. “It’s likely to be from Dr. Evil’s point of view."

If Austin Powers 4 does get made, it would see a return to the big screen for Myers. His last lead role was in the live-action movie was the 2008 flop The Love Guru and his last prominent TV role was in the 2022 Netflix comedy series The Pentaverate.

Mike Myers has made numerous minor roles in films, including Bohemian Rhapsody. His most recent appearance was a cameo as music executive Walter Yetnikoff in the biopic Michael. Myers has also been the voice of Shrek for all four movies in the animated series, with a fifth movie set for release in June 2027

Georgina Rodriguez's Sweet Gesture for Cristiano Ronaldo Before His World Cup Opener Will Melt Your Heart

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 7:54pm

Cristiano Ronaldo’s fiancée, Georgina Rodriguez, shared a “heart” felt message on Instagram ahead of the soccer star’s first 2026 FIFA World Cup match.

The I Am Georgina Netflix star recently posted a photo of the sky with an arrow pointing to a heart cutout made by the clouds. While she didn’t caption the pic or specifically say it was for Ronaldo, fans speculated that it was a sweet symbol of her love.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez’s Relationship Timeline

The couple met in 2016 when she worked as a sales assistant in a Gucci store. Even though he was a famous athlete, the soccer star fell hard for Rodriguez.

Rodriguez shared how their fairytale romance started in her Netflix reality series, “Many times he’d come after work.” She continued, “He would come, I remember once, once in a Bugatti. My coworkers went crazy. They get there on the bus, and I would leave in a Bugatti. I mean, people couldn’t believe it.”

Ronaldo and Rodriguez made their first public appearance as a couple in 2017 at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich. They went Instagram official with their relationship a few months later.

The famous football player and his girlfriend didn't waste time starting a family, welcoming twins (Eva and Mateo)  via surrogate in June of 2017. A few weeks later, they announced that Georgina was pregnant. Daughter Alana Martina was born on November 12, 2017.

Almost three years later, the couple revealed they were expecting twins—a boy and a girl. Sadly, they lost their son, explaining in a gut-wrenching Instagram post, “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”

Ronaldo also has a son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. (born in 2010), from a previous relationship.

The Tragic Real-Life Reason Key & Peele’s 'Police Academy' Reboot Was Cancelled

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 7:47pm

The 1984 comedy film Police Academy has unsuccessfully attempted multiple reboots since 2003.

The box office smash follows the aftermath of a crime-ridden city that lowers its standards for the police academy. A group of misfits and nontraditional police types must navigate the academy while battling the unwelcoming police officers.

It starred Steve Guttenberg, Kim Cattrall, and Bubba Smith.

In the 2010s, a reboot with Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key never made it off the ground because of a tragic real-life event.

On a recent episode of the podcast “Funny You Ask with Ike Barinholtz,” the comedian spoke to guest Joel McHale about the Police Academy pitch he and his writing partner, David Stassen, had.

“Years ago, my partner and I got hired to rewrite Police Academy for New Line Cinema,” Barinholtz said. “I don’t even know if he’s still alive; we might have to cut this, but the guy who created the original ‘Police Academy’ came with the deal.”

He continued, “So they said to us, ‘We want you guys to write it and make it dirty, rated R, modern.’ He’ll be at some of the meetings, but we don’t have to listen to him. All he wanted to do was give us notes.”

When the writing duo pitched the project, it did not go smoothly.

“So when we’re doing the pitch, my partner was like, ‘So we have this scene and that’s when we see all the original cast. We see Hightower, we see Tackleberry, we have…’ — he’s just naming all dead people. And I was like…he didn’t even do research to find out who’s still alive in the cast,” the comedian shared. “He was not happy. But more importantly, as we were developing the film, MikeBrown got shot and all of a sudden, and we were making the movie for Key and Peele, and people were like, ‘We’re not making a cop comedy right now where we’re having these two hilarious Black actors play police officers.’”

On August 9, 2014, Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. He was 18 years old. This launched over a week of protests about the use of police force and militarization. There was an investigation, but the officer was never indicted for any civil rights violations.

Barinholtz is currently starring on the comedy series The Studio. Peele is working on his next film, and Key is on set for the Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion sequel.

Amazon’s ‘Whimsical’ $10 Solar Cat Statue Is the Ultimate Cottagecore Upgrade for Your Garden

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 7:45pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Creating an outdoor space you actually want to spend time in doesn't have to involve an expensive patio makeover or a complete furniture upgrade. Often, it's the smaller decorative details that make the biggest impact. Thoughtful accents can add warmth, character, and personality, helping a garden, patio, porch, or backyard feel more inviting and uniquely your own.

One easy way to add that extra charm is with a decorative garden statue. The GoGnome Solar Cat Garden Statue is a particularly adorable option. Right now, it's on sale for 50% off on Amazon, bringing the price down from $20 to just $10 ahead of Amazon Prime Day, which runs from June 23 through June 26.

There are several designs available, including a kitten, puppy, and rabbit that are currently priced at $10, along with a few additional styles available at higher price points. The kitten version is especially sweet, measuring approximately 3.5 inches long, 2.4 inches wide, and 6.5 inches tall. Weighing just 8 ounces, it's compact enough to fit almost anywhere without overwhelming your outdoor decor.

The kitten design features an orange-and-white cat holding a delicate purple flower. During the day, it serves as a charming decorative accent, while at night the center of the flower softly illuminates, creating a warm and welcoming glow. The design strikes a nice balance between whimsical and tasteful, making it a fun addition to flower beds, pathways, porches, balconies, or patios.

Each statue is crafted from durable resin and finished with hand-painted details that give the fur texture and facial features a lifelike appearance. The craftsmanship helps the piece feel more premium than its budget-friendly price tag might suggest, and the gentle expression adds to its cozy, cheerful appeal.

Built for year-round use, the statue is made from weather-resistant resin that can withstand exposure to sun, rain, and other outdoor conditions. It's designed for gardens, lawns, flower beds, patios, and balconies, but it can also be used indoors as a decorative accent. Maintenance is simple too, requiring only an occasional wipe-down to keep it looking its best.

The built-in solar-powered light adds another layer of charm. The solar panel absorbs sunlight throughout the day and automatically powers the LED light at dusk. For the lighting feature to work effectively, you'll want to place the statue somewhere that receives adequate sunlight during the day. Once charged, it provides a soft warm glow that adds a little extra ambiance to your outdoor setup each evening.

This statue also makes a thoughtful gift. Whether you're shopping for a cat lover, gardener, new homeowner, or someone who simply enjoys cozy outdoor decor, it's an easy choice for birthdays, housewarmings, Mother's Day, or other special occasions. It's the kind of decorative piece that instantly adds personality without requiring much space or upkeep.

One reviewer described the statue as “whimsical,” and “adorable,” and highlighted its quality, noting that it's waterproof, fade-resistant, and built to withstand all weather conditions. ” Another said it “brings magic to any outdoor space,” adding, “The detail of the butterfly is just too cute during both the day and night. The colors are brilliant, and the light is just perfect.”

1979 Soft Rock Ballad, Written by the 'Greatest Frontwoman in Rock History,' Was Inspired by a Secret Age-Gap Affair

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 7:37pm

After the massive success of Rumours in 1977, there was some pretty famously intense pressure on Fleetwood Mac to produce another iconic album. Whether or not that happened, however, is up for debate.

Their next offering, the sprawling 1976 double album Tusk, certainly had (and has) its fans, but it definitely wasn't Rumours: Part 2, which many were hoping it would be.

In his review of the album when it was released, Rolling Stone's Stephen Holden described Tusk as "less a collection of finished songs than a mosaic of pop-rock fragments by individual performers," which basically sums up the general consensus at the time.

But even if Tusk wasn't another Rumours, it did produce some amazing tunes, such as "Save Me a Place," "What Makes You Think You're the One," and a song Stevie Nicks wrote about a very brief (but meaningful) affair with a married man who was nearly 20 years her senior: "Beautiful Child."

As Nicks explained during a 2013 Q&A, "Beautiful Child" was inspired by her romance with Derek Taylor, who was the publicist for the Beatles.

“It didn’t last very long, because he was married,” Nicks said, "but it affected me very much, because he told me so many stories about the Beatles.”

“Everybody has your road manager,” the singer continued. “We had J.C., crazy J.C. [John Courage]. Led Zeppelin had Peter Grant. The road managers are the ones who know everything. And so I learned so much about him about the whole world of the Beatles that it was stunning.”

While Taylor wasn't actually the official road manager for the Beatles, as Nicks called him, he did travel regularly with the band and acted as a media liaison and advisor. In the 2015 liner notes to Tusk, Nicks revealed that Taylor, who married his wife Joan when Nicks herself was just 10 years old, would read her poetry "in his beautiful English voice" and call her a "beautiful child." (Nicks apparently didn't care for the nickname.) The lyrics tell the tale of a woman who's not a child anymore, and is ready to move on:

You say it will be harder in the morning
I wait for you to say, just go
Your hands, held mine so few hours
But I'm not a child anymore

I'm not a child anymore
I'm tall enough to reach for the stars
I'm old enough to love you from afar
Too trusting yes, but then women usually are

In a 1979 interview with Circus, Nicks called "Beautiful Child" her "most special song," saying, "It was written two years ago on a Sunday night sometime after midnight, and finished before dawn."

All these years later, Nicks is still going strong: She was even ranked the "Greatest Frontwoman in Rock History" by BBC Music Magazine. As for Taylor, he remained married to Joan until his death in 1997 at the age of 65. They had six children.

1980s Western, Quickly Climbing the Charts, Is Streaming for Free Right Now

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 7:36pm

Back in the ’80s, you couldn’t go near a screen without running into Patrick Swayze. The iconic actor spent the decade everywhere — TV, TV movies, blockbusters, even music videos (see: Toto’s “Rosanna”). From The Outsiders to Dirty Dancing, Road House to Red Dawn, the man was in constant rotation.

But there’s one project in particular that is making a bunch of noise in the world of streaming right now. Next of Kin, an urban revenge neo-western with an all-star cast, just climbed three spots to No. 3 on Pluto TV’s streaming chart, per FlixPatrol

Set in 1980s Chicago, John Irvin’s film follows Swayze’s Truman Gates, a former U.S. Army Airborne Ranger who becomes a straight-laced Chicago police officer. When his brother, played by Bill Paxton, is murdered by the mob, he turns away from his moral compass, unites with his Kentucky backwoods kin, and wages all-out war on the men who killed his brother. Helen Hunt, Liam Neeson, Ben Stiller, and Adam Baldwin all co-star.

"He was a big star," Neeson said in an interview with ABC of working with Swayze. "He was conscious of it, and at the same time, he was very shy of it as well. He was very protective of me, because I was new into the country. … So he was teaching me a lot. He looked after me."

Ahead of Next of Kin on the streaming chart are Tom Cruise’s blockbuster sequel Top Gun: Maverick in the top spot, holding steady for 41 days and counting, and the nostalgic coming-of-age adventure The Goonies, hanging out at No. 2.

Elsewhere in the Top 10 are the Men in Black trilogy, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, and the original Scary Movie.

Swayze went on to star in Jerry Zucker’s Oscar-winning filmGhost, Kathryn Bigelow’s surf-crime cult classic Point Break, and Richard Kelly’s trippy drama Donnie Darko.

The actor’s last film was 2009’s Powder Blue, an action crime drama co-starring Lisa Kudrow, Eddie Redmayne, and Ray Liotta, before tragically passing away at 57 from stage 4 pancreatic cancer that same year.

Collin Gosselin Pays Tribute to His 'Real Mom' Following Book Announcement

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 7:35pm

Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum Collin Gosselin shared a special tribute to his father's ex-girlfriend, Colleen Conrad, whom he called his "real mom."

"I didn’t plan this at all, but coincidentally on the day of the official announcement of my book, it is Colleen’s birthday," Collin, 22, shared via Instagram on Wednesday, June 17. "She is the strongest woman I know, who stepped in at the toughest part of my life and CHOSE to be a mother to me. Happy birthday to my wonderful, hardworking, passionate, and I could go on… to my real mom."

He added, "I love you so much. Also I had to add a Rascal Flatts song, because we always sing Rascal Flatts songs together."

Following his divorce from Kate Gosselin in December 2009, Jon entered a long-term relationship with Colleen. The pair were romantically linked from 2014 until their amicable split in 2021. They remained close as Jon was by her side throughout her battle with breast cancer.

Colleen responded to Collin's birthday post, writing, "This made me cry and yes I would sing it you, Jesse and Jordan! That is my wish! I’ll always be here for you and you are my son. I love you!"

"The love you feel for a mom you were given is incredible. But the love you feel for a mom that CHOSE you is something so powerful," Collin added in the comments. "I am so fortunate ❤️ @colleen.conrad122 I love you so much 🫶🏼"

Collin — who has been estranged from his mother and many of his siblings for years — received support from Colleen amid "derogatory statements" in 2023.

"Collin is not only someone I love dearly, but has also been a significant figure in my family's life," she wrote at the time. "[He] was always kind and respectful. He never talked back to me. He was never violent and is far from being considered dangerous. He is there for me when I need him...I am incredibly proud of his accomplishments."

Colleen's birthday tribute was shared just hours after Collin announced his upcoming memoir.

"Growing up, millions of people watched my life on television. People felt like they knew me. They knew my family. They watched me grow up. But there was so much they never saw," he shared in his announcement post.

In the Shadow of Eight is due out October 13.

Panera Just Turned One of Its Most Popular Soups Into Breakfast

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 7:25pm

Panera is making a big push this summer, rolling out new salads, market bowls and cold drinks as part of its ongoing transformation strategy. But one of the most intriguing additions to the menu is arriving first thing in the morning.

The bakery-café chain just introduced two portable breakfast frittatas, including one inspired by a menu item that Panera fans have loved for years. If you've ever found yourself craving comfort food before noon, Panera may have just made your morning.

Panera Is Giving a Fan Favorite a Breakfast Twist View this post on Instagram

The star of Panera's new breakfast lineup is the Broccoli Cheddar Frittata, which takes inspiration from the chain's famous broccoli cheddar soup.

Panera's Broccoli Cheddar Soup is widely considered the brand's signature item and routinely ranks among fan favorites. The creamy soup combines broccoli florets and shredded carrots in a velvety cheddar cheese sauce, creating a comforting flavor that customers return to again and again.

Now Panera is bringing those same flavors to breakfast.

The new Broccoli Cheddar Frittata is designed as a portable option for busy mornings. While Panera hasn't abandoned the cheesy, savory flavors that made the soup famous, the frittata format makes it easier to grab on the go.

Panera is also introducing a Five Cheese & Bacon Frittata for guests who want an even richer breakfast option.

The launch is part of Panera's broader summer menu overhaul, which includes more than a dozen new or improved ingredients across the menu.

Panera's Summer Menu Is Bigger Than Breakfast

The breakfast frittatas may be grabbing attention, but they're only one piece of Panera's ambitious summer lineup.

Panera is also debuting an entirely new category called Market Bowls. The chef-curated bowls come in Sesame Ginger Chicken, Carnitas Elote and All-In Veggie varieties and start at $9.99.

The chain is also refreshing its salad menu with three premium options: Ultimate Garden Steak, Shrimply Baja and Farmhouse Crunch. Notably, Panera is bringing shrimp back to its menu for the first time in a decade.

Coffee fans have plenty to look forward to as well. Panera is expanding its beverage lineup with new Frozen Javas and iced coffees in flavors like Snickerdoodle, Hazelnut Mocha and Rocky Road, plus new energy refreshers and herbal iced teas.

Still, the Broccoli Cheddar Frittata might be the menu item that gets people talking the most.

Broccoli and cheddar have long been among the most beloved comfort-food pairings around. The earthy flavor of broccoli balances the richness of cheddar, creating a combination that feels both familiar and satisfying.

And if Panera can bottle the magic of its most famous soup into a handheld breakfast, fans have a new reason to stop by before work.

A Top 10 Netflix Show Was Just Cancelled After 1 Season and Fans Are Outraged

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 7:17pm

Less than one month after the Duffer brothers' follow-up to Stranger Things premiered on Netflix, it's already been cancelled.

The Boroughs will not be getting a season two, according to Deadline, despite strong reviews and currently sitting at No. 8 in the top trending shows on the streaming platform as of June 17.

While the outlet reports that the show, created by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews and executive produced by the Duffer brothers, was considering filming seasons 2 and 3 one after another, it seems those plans dissolved.

The supernatural mystery series follows a group of retirees including Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Bill Pullman, Clarke Peters, and Denis O'Hare, living in a New Mexico retirement community.

The group discovers that something sinister is happening, and must band together to uncover the community's dark secrets. The show is a blend of science fiction, horror, mystery, humor, and heartfelt drama, with a premise reminiscent of Stranger Things, but centered on older heroes.

Deadline cites "soft ratings" as the reason behind axing the show, but Netflix reports more than 2 million viewers watched it, and those viewers have had largely positive reactions. The show currently has a critic-voted Tomatometer score of an impressive 97%, while fans rated it at a strong 79%. Even Stephen King called it an "absolute delight."

Many were outraged to hear about the cancellation. "Huge bummer — first season was actually really interesting and unique!" said one X user, while another agreed, "Netflix the king of canceling good shows lfg!!!!"

Some blamed the platform for not doing enough to get the word out about it, with one writing, "I thought it was fantastic but not surprised at all, they did ZERO marketing for it. Told four of my friends it was great after finishing it and none of them had even heard of it."

Still, some felt like another season wasn't necessary. "There wasn’t a cliffhanger really and the storyline concluded. Not sure what they could’ve come up with for S2," said one fan, while another added, "It was pretty good and they closed the story properly on first season so we are good."

'Outlast: The Jungle' Winners Revealed After Betrayal and Tense Gender Dynamics

Wed, 06/17/2026 - 6:54pm

Competitors from different backgrounds went on Outlast: The Jungle to prove their survival skills in Panama and possibly win $1 million. Valuing men for their perceived strength is nothing new when it comes to survival reality shows and neither is betrayal.

The Netflix show's competitors repeatedly faced hard decisions between getting supplies and losing a team member. But only one team won the prize, and the fewer to split it, the better. Here is who won the season.

Who Won 'Outlast: The Jungle' and $1 Million? Leiya, 27, Chattanooga, TN, Tattoo Artist & Fisherwoman

Netflix

Episode 8 was the finale of the season. Team Alpha and Bravo had to race through the jungle, guided by a map, to win the prize.

Team Alpha started this race with Leiya Pillitteri, Nikki Hru, and Maddy Jones. However, they were at a disadvantage after Team Bravo stole Leiya's boots. She was struggling, and the team voted her out on the first night of the race. Leiya shot her flare.

Team Bravo had Abby Chu and Pharaoh Gayles for the race. They were behind on the first day and the second.

Maddy, 29, Kingwood, WV, Photographer

Nikki and Maddy found a key in the jungle first. They reached a kayak and made it to shore with Team Bravo behind. They dug up a trunk and opened it with a key. There was a stick to light inside, they did it, solidifying their win.

"It feels like a movie, and our lives have completely changed," Nikki said in the episode. Maddy also asked her if it was real life as they looked at duffle bag of money.

"For Nikki and I to be the first two females to win this challenge, like this is my sister," Maddy said. "This is like--this is a person that I've suffered with. We have a bond that nobody else can fully understand."

Women winning is an interesting ending to a season when women were repeatedly voted out by their teams. The team was eliminated in the semifinal had multiple scenes of men arguing with women.

Nikki, 29, Los Angeles, CA, Boxer & Actress

Netflix

Team Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie had to compete for a spot in the finals in episode 7. That was determined through a challenge. They must build a fire, ignite an arrow, and shoot a flag. The first two teams will move forward in the game.

Team Bravo had Abby and Pharaoh for the competition. They previously eliminated Morgan Colburn in exchange for ferro rods to make a fire. They were the first to accomplish this.

Team Alpha had Leiya make the fire with Nikki's help. However, Leiya panicked, and Nikki worked hard to calm her down. They got fire and Maddy shot the flag with a fiery arrow.

Team Charlie was eliminated. That meant Braxton Fish, Wes Saunders, and Brett Johnson were going home. This is after they had multiple arguments with the women on their team. Wes and Sarah Awad got into an argument after she accused him of not helping enough with the shelter.

There were more arguments before they considered voting out Sarah. Leiya was hesitant of being the only woman left on the team, but the men pressured her to vote with them. Leiya did and the men got frustrated with her for not making a fire. She switched to Team Alpha with a boat before the men could vote her out.

Nikki cried after they eliminated Leiya. But it seems like the sacrifice helped them get the win.

Outlast: The Jungle is available to stream on Netflix.
