A career built on staged executions has never rattled Alice Cooper. A blood test still does.

In a new Instagram reel, the shock rock godfather answers a question you might have had yourself: after six decades of horror-movie theatrics, why does he still not have a single tattoo? “I don’t have one tattoo because needles and I don’t get along at all,” Cooper says in the clip, adding that he can wear a 15-foot boa constrictor or lower his own head into a working guillotine without flinching, but a routine blood draw sends him “right out.”

It’s a contradiction Cooper has alluded to before. He told Forbes in 2025 that boredom and needles are the only two things that genuinely scare him, explaining that he can put his head in a guillotine with a 40-pound blade that misses him by eight inches every night without a second thought. Back in 2013, he gave Vegas Rocks! magazine an even more direct answer when asked to name his greatest fear. He replied “needles” without pausing, then explained that he can’t do a blood test, that he can put on a show where “everybody gets stitches,” but that a blood test has nothing to do with pain and everything to do with the idea of a needle entering his arm.

In the new clip, Cooper also makes clear the fear has never dulled his love for performing. “I never ever get tired of the music,” he says, pointing to “Eighteen,” “School’s Out,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and “Poison” as songs he could play every night for the rest of his life. “As soon as you start to love, the audience goes crazy, and that’s what you work for.”

Fans flooded the comments with their own needle horror stories. “I’m an LPN of 35+ years, and I STILL HATE NEEDLES,” wrote one fan. Another longtime fan wrote that he has been a Cooper devotee since his first concert in 1973 and shares the same phobia, adding he has “no tattoos” either. Another simply said: “I have the same issue. Needles. I don’t get along with them either.” One fan pushed back gently reminding Cooper and everyone else that needles used in tattooing bear little resemblance to the kind used for a blood draw.

Cooper is closing out a packed 2026, having toured behind The Revenge of Alice Cooper, the first album to reunite him with his original surviving bandmates in more than 50 years. At 78, he remains one of rock’s most consistent stage performers, still willing to hang from a noose or duck under a blade for a crowd. What he won’t do, by his own account, is sit still for a needle.

Kendra Wilkinson and her daughter have fans seeing double in a recent selfie.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, The Girls Next Door alum, 41, shared a sweet snap with her 12-year-old, Alijah Baskett, to commemorate the start of the school year.

“First day of 7th grade and I couldn’t be more proud of Alijah,” Wilkinson captioned the pic. “Made her a chicken quesadilla for lunch lol. Time to fly my love. Good luck my amazing daughter. I love you.”

The mother-daughter-duo, both sporting blonde hair with middle parts and similar facial features, immediately garnered attention from fans who couldn’t help but see the resemblance between the two.

“She’s your clone! Wow,” one said.

“She’s your twin, Kendra! Pretty girl,” added another, while a third, among many, echoed, “She is beautiful! She’s your twin!”

“She looks [like] the double of you,” said another.

Along with Alijah, Wilkinson is also mom to Hank Jr., whom she shares with ex-husband, former NFL player Hank Baskett. The parents were married from 2009 to 2018.

While Wilkinson’s life played out in front of reality TV cameras on The Girls Next Door — which followed her time as a Playboy Playmate and Hugh Hefner‘s girlfriend, living at the Playboy Mansion along with Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison — her personal life was also television fodder in her own show Kendra on Top. The latter reality show followed her marriage and subsequent divorce from Hank.

The Girls Next Door aired from 2005 to 2010 while Kendra on Top aired from 2012 to 2017.

The couple also appeared on Season 3 of Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars in 2015 in an effort to save their relationship.

Wilkinson, now a real estate agent, is living out of the spotlight but continues to document her life on social media.

Most recently, she’s opened up about her recent weight loss journey and also shared the challenges of her career in an emotional update when she revealed she was dropped by a client.

“I know that we’re living in a world of struggle right now, I know that. But it’s just … it’s so hard. It’s so hard right now,” she said, per Page Six in July. “I feel like I’m doing everything right in my life — I’m raising my kids and putting them first … I’m doing everything good — I’m a good person. It’s just such a struggle right now.”

Gayle King had some harsh words in response to Hayden Panettiere’s estranged mother, Lesley Vogel, after she issued her first statement following the actor’s death over the weekend.

A few days after it was announced that Panettiere died from an apparent drug overdose at the age of 36, Vogel told NBC News her daughter was an “amazingly talented person in so many departments.” Her statement took a turn to berate her daughter’s on-and-off boyfriend, Brian Hickson, as she claims her daughter went down the “wrong path”

During Wednesday’s episode of CBS Mornings, King read Vogel’s statement and called her words “sad.” She added that after reading the statement, all she could think was “Thanks, Mom, for nothing.”

“It makes me so sad of the opportunity that you have after your daughter’s death. That that’s what you choose to leave us with,” she continued.

The journalist also brought up her interview with Panettiere that took place in May, where they discussed the actor’s estranged relationship with her mother. Panettiere called it a “complicated” relationship, but it was still a “work in progress.” While King added it’s now “still very much a work in progress” following the actor’s death, her co-hosts agreed Vogel should have ended her statement at “she’s amazing, and she’s talented.”

In her statement, Vogel said, “I think it becomes very difficult to be true to yourself and I think Hayden sadly lost her way and I wish it were different. I wish she had stayed true to herself because she had many incredible attributes.”

Host Vladimir Duthiers responded by pointing out that Panettiere had spent “years publicly acknowledging her own failures, her own struggles.” The actor was open in her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, about the reality of growing up a child star, the trauma of her childbirth, postpartum depression, drug use, and even inappropriate incidents in Hollywood.

“She cannot respond now, and for her mother to use these days after Hayden’s death to just remind the world just how much trauma she caused, it’s unseemly. You would hope a mother’s instinct is just mourn your daughter,” said Duthiers.

Panettiere was candid about her relationship with her mother in her memoir, and ended her professional relationship with her as her manager when she was 19. Vogel, at the time, slammed the actor’s memoir and decided to go no contact, claiming it was a “painful observation of watching the self-destructive paths they sometimes choose.”

It’s been more than two decades since The Calling released a new album, but that’s about to change.

The multi-platinum rock band behind the massive early-2000s hit “Wherever You Will Go” has announced Before the World Turns to Dust, its first new album in 22 years.

The 15-track collection will arrive Sept. 25 via TLG | Virgin Music Group, marking The Calling’s first full-length release since 2004’s Two and coming 25 years after the band’s debut album Camino Palmero.

“If you like The Calling, you’re going to like this,” founding singer, songwriter and guitarist Alex Band said in a press release. “It’s in the same vein of what we’ve done since day one. We keep it simple. After all of this time, we still write big and anthemic rock-pop songs that uplift and make you feel something.”

Band is joined on Before the World Turns to Dust by Daniel Damico on lead guitar and keyboards and Dom Liberati on bass and backing vocals. Produced by John Fields, the album was recorded in Nashville and Minneapolis.

Rather than reinventing the band for 2026, Band says The Calling intentionally embraced the sound that first made the group famous.

“We aren’t trying to chase any current trends or change our sound,” he explained. “We’re just hoping that our big, anthemic sound resonates and that we can connect with people around the world.”

The Calling has already offered a preview of the album with its first single, “Dust,” which was the seventh most-added song at Hot AC radio for the week of Aug. 12. It marks the band’s return to the format after more than two decades.

“We were initially writing ‘Dust’ as a timeless love song set in an apocalyptic world—kind of like what ours feels like at the moment—but then the song got a bit deeper,” Band said of the new track.

The band’s 22-year absence from the album charts wasn’t necessarily part of the plan.

After Two was released in 2004, label and music industry complications stalled The Calling’s momentum. Band eventually released the solo album We’ve All Been There in 2010.

“When we finished our second record, I thought I would do my solo thing for two years and go back to The Calling,” Band recalled. “I never imagined all of the ensuing drama.”

The Calling ultimately returned to the road, and Band began writing again, setting the stage for the band’s first new album since 2004.

“The Calling is what I wanted from the beginning,” he said. “When we got back on the road, it was crazy to see all of the fans who stuck by me.”

Those fans have had plenty of time to keep the band’s biggest hit alive.

“Wherever You Will Go,” which Band wrote when he was just 15, reached the Top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 23 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart. It has since surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify.

The Calling has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, according to the release, while its music has accumulated billions of streams.

The band will support Before the World Turns to Dust with its 2026-2027 tour, including an Aug. 27 performance at the New York State Fair and a Sept. 25 album release show at Dreamland in Malibu, Calif.

The cable news channel MS NOW is launching its first subscription service next month.

The Versant-owned outlet will begin offering its “Membership” on Wednesday, September 9, for $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year.

MS NOW describes the “Membership” as an additional experience to what is currently accessible to users.

“Our Membership is the first step in a long-term strategy to deepen our relationship with audiences in ways that build on what they already value about MS NOW, while addressing what consumers told us was missing from the news experience,” said Rebecca Kutler, president of MS NOW, in a statement to Variety.

The network intends for subscribers to have a closer relationship with reporters, anchors, and contributors. The service will offer original content and new verticals that examine how news and politics impact daily life. Users will also gain 24/7 access to live streams and television programming.  

“We will continue to research, test, and refine this experience because we want it to be something that our loyal MS NOW fans genuinely love, as well as something that future fans genuinely need,” Kutler shared.

Kutler wrote in a memo to staff that the outlet started researching what a member model might look like a year ago. They solicited “18,000 survey responses and one-on-one conversations with consumers, iterative rounds of product prototype and concept testing,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The service is meant to attract “super fans” and “future fans” on the channel.

MS NOW is the final of the three main cable news outlets to offer a subscription service. The $7.99 “Membership” lands right in the middle of prices. CNN’s “All Access” subscription charges $6.99 per month, compared to Fox News Media’s Fox Nation, which costs $8.99 per month.

Sandra Bullock is opening up about her late partner, Bryan Randall, and his “traumatic” diagnosis with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) that led to his death in 2023.

The Speed actor has kept quiet about the reality of Randall’s death and ALS, with her comments giving a much fuller picture of their relationship and what she experienced during his illness. Randall died on Aug. 5, 2023, with his family having announced the news days later, and Bullock now reveals he deliberately chose to keep his diagnosis private.

Appearing on the SmartLess podcast, the 62-year-old Oscar-winning actor explained, “He asked me not to share. I know why he asked me not to.”

The couple met in January 2015 when Randall, a professional photographer, was hired to photograph her son Louis’ birthday party. Bullock and Randall began dating a few months later, with the two having made their red carpet debut that October for the premiere of Our Brand Is Crisis. The actor’s two children and Randall’s daughter from a previous relationship soon became part of a blended family.

Amid their relationship, Bullock kept details private, but often reported Randal to be “the love of my life,” and their family was “the best thing ever.” The actor also commented that she felt no need to officially marry on paper.

The actor admitted in the podcast that while she respected his wishes to keep his ALS diagnosis private, it also “isolated [her] in the process.” Her sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado, was the only person who knew, and Bullock believed she could handle the reality of the illness.

Bullock also explained that dealing with Randall’s ALS and taking care of their children through COVID-19 was “a trifecta that was pretty dark.” Unable to cope on her own, she decided to confide in longtime friends Jennifer Aniston and podcast co-host Amanda Anka. She adds that, sadly, a shift occurred that had her accepting Randall’s death much earlier.

“I think where he was in his journey, both physically and mentally, I started grieving Brian four years before he passed,” she shared. “There was something that had shifted. My person left a lot earlier than the body left. I don’t think I ever dealt with that until after he passed, because you’re just on this treadmill.”

The Gravity star calls ALS a “traumatic disease.” At the time of his death, Bullock’s sister wrote on Instagram, “ALS is a cruel disease but there is some comfort in knowing he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home.”

Randall was 57 when he died, with his family’s statement thanking the “tireless doctors” and “astounding nurses,” as well as his close family doing their “best to honor his request.”

Rosie O’Donnell has responded to longtime friend Kathy Griffin after she expressed she was disappointed she didn’t get the opportunity appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! while the League of Their Own star is guest-hosting this week.

In her latest YouTube episode of Talk Your Head Off with Kathy Griffin, which was clipped and shared to Instagram on Tuesday, the post caught the attention of O’Donnell, who responded to Griffin’s snub claim in the comments.

However, in the full YouTube episode, Griffin recalled how she spoke with O’Donnell about the ‘Kimmel’ gig while the two were on a flight together when they were both promoting their Broadway shows, presumably earlier this summer.

“One of the first things I said was, ‘Well, this doesn’t need to be said, but I would love to be a guest,'” she recalled, mentioning their common dislike and criticism of President Donald Trump and the repercussions they’ve both faced because of it. “I mean, think about it, you’ve got these two women who share this very unique thing in common.”

Griffin then recounted how after she shared a doctored, graphic image of Trump in 2017, “Hollywood turned on me overnight. The phone stopped ringing. I got fired from every job that I had coming up.”

She also acknowledged that while it would be a great opportunity for the two to appear together, she recognized the possibility that O’Donnell didn’t have any say in who she’d interview during her time guest-hosting the show. She also shared that she was later told that she was not selected to appear on the show because of “two people” that she didn’t name in the video.

As O’Donnell’s time on the late-night show is underway this week, Griffin still maintained her support and encouraged her followers to tune in every night.

It’s worth noting, that in a separate Instagram post, the comedian shared a photo of the pair captioned, “So excited to watch my pal, the brilliant @rosie o’Donnell subbing in all week for the equally brilliant and all around great guy @jimmykimmellive.”

Given that it’s hard to evade a Led Zeppelin song when listening to a classic rock station, there’s no way to deny that the British band has a tremendous impact on the genre. So, it’s not all that surprising that Entertainment Weekly recently included one of the band’s most beloved hits on the publication’s list of “the 25 greatest rock songs of all time.”

The ranking spotlighted Led Zeppelin’s 1969 tune “Whole Lotta Love,” off the band’s second record, Led Zeppelin II. Entertainment Weekly also featured songs like Queen‘s 1975 hit “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Born to Run” by Bruce Springsteen from 1975, and 1967’s “A Day in the Life” by The Beatles on the list.

One of the most memorable parts of “Whole Lotta Love” is the guitar riff, composed and performed by Jimmy Page. In a 2014 interview on BBC Radio 2, Page discussed coming up with said riff for the song, which ended up securing the No. 4 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1970. He explained that he “had the riff and the sort of framework of the song” before the band recorded “Whole Lotta Love.”

“I wanted a riff that really moved, you know, that people would really get and then bring a smile to their faces, you know, but when I played it with the band, I mean, it just really went into overdrive, and that’s how it went. Then it got recorded, of course, and we did a pretty good rendition on the recordings,” said Page, now 82.

The musician also noted that he “used the Gibson LES Paul” guitar when recording the tune.

“It was relatively recently acquired for me. I’d only had it for a few months, but it was such a user-friendly guitar, and it sounded so huge. The amps that I had, you know, all vintage stuff, obviously, but even vintage at the time, yeah, I just sort of, I knew where I was going with it, you know, to be honest,” continued Page during the 2014 radio interview.

Bill Maher says that Ben Affleck has refused to return to his show since they argued on a 2014 episode.

On the Aug. 17 episode of Club Random, Maher explained that after the duo argued about Islam during Affleck’s 2014 appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher, the powerhouse actor and director has refused to make an appearance on the show, despite Maher asking him to return every year.

“I love him, but we just are gonna disagree on that one,” Maher shared, Entertainment Weekly reported. “I don’t know. Maybe if I talked to him privately or it’s been, you know, 12 years, maybe I think there’s a middle ground.”

Maher also noted that people ask him about the spat with Affleck frequently.

“More people mention that episode to me than anything,” he said. “It wasn’t the best episode we ever had, but it got emotional with a movie star. That’s America.”

What Happened On Ben Affleck’s Episode of Real Time?

During the 2014 episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, Affleck and Maher argued about Islam. Affleck said that Maher and fellow guest Sam Harris‘ statements about Islam were “gross” and “racist.” As the show continued, Affleck became visibly irritated. He even buried his head in his hands.

During his statements, Maher said that Islam is “the only religion that acts like the mafia that will f—ing kill you if you say the wrong thing.” Meanwhile, Harris was skeptical about the existence of Islamophobia, referring to it as a “meme.” He went on to say that “Islam is the motherload of bad ideas.” Those statements didn’t sit well with Affleck.

“How about more than a billion people who aren’t fanatical, who don’t punch women, who just want to go to school, have some sandwiches, pray five times a day, and don’t do any of the things you’re saying of all Muslims?” Affleck replied. “It’s stereotyping.”

Every long-running band has one song that changes everything.

For Status Quo, that moment arrived with “Pictures of Matchstick Men.” Released in 1968, the psychedelic rocker featured 18 year-old English singer Francis Rossi, whose distinctive vocal helped propel the band from London’s club scene to international recognition.

The song was inspired by an unlikely source.

Written by Rossi, “Pictures of Matchstick Men” took its title from the famous paintings of British artist L. S. Lowry, whose stick-like figures had become instantly recognizable throughout England. Blending surreal imagery with a hypnotic guitar riff and psychedelic production, the song reflected the experimental spirit that was sweeping rock music in the late 1960s.

“‘Matchstick Men’ was basically about my ex-wife,” Rossi revealed to Songfacts. “I’d just got married, and I thought, Oh, this is a mistake, what have I done?”

The song itself was far from a mistake. It quickly became the band’s breakthrough.

Released as Status Quo’s second single, “Pictures of Matchstick Men” climbed to No. 7 on the UK Singles Chart and reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. The success established the group as an international act and introduced audiences to Rossi’s songwriting, years before Status Quo became known for its signature boogie-rock sound.

The hit also marked the beginning of one of rock’s longest-running careers.

Although the band gradually moved away from psychedelia in favor of a harder, blues-influenced style, Rossi remained its creative anchor for decades. Status Quo would go on to score numerous hits, including “Down Down,” “Rockin’ All Over the World,” and “Whatever You Want,” becoming one of Britain’s most enduring rock bands.

Yet “Pictures of Matchstick Men” has never lost its appeal, not even for its singer.

“‘Pictures Of Matchstick Men’ is my favorite [to play,]” Rossi told Louder. 

Its swirling guitars, memorable melody, and dreamlike atmosphere have earned it a lasting place on classic rock and psychedelic playlists, while artists including Camper Van Beethoven and Ozzy Osbourne have recorded their own interpretations. For many listeners, it remains the song that first introduced Status Quo to the world.

“After ‘Pictures of Matchstick Men,‘ everyone was saying Quo have gone heavy, become an albums band, and it won’t work,” Rossi told The Times. “But if there are two separate markets, singles and albums, you want to go for both. I can’t help thinking like that. I grew up in retail.”

Fifty-eight years after its release, “Pictures of Matchstick Men” continues to stand as one of the defining psychedelic rock hits of the 1960s. Featuring an 18 year-old Francis Rossi at the microphone, the 1968 classic launched a career that would span more than half a century.

The red-hot athlete began playing tennis at age 4, according to the Women’s Tennis Association’s website. Eala made her WTA Tour debut at the 2021 Miami tournament.

Her parents are Mike and Rizza (who was a professional swimmer who competed at the 1985 Southeast Asian Games), and her brother is also a budding tennis player.

And on a lighter note, she upbeat Spanish music and watching comedy and horror movies, and she loves ice cream, rice and milk tea.

The film Clueless was filled with extras on set, as Alicia Silverstone‘s character, Cher Horowitz, navigated life as a wealthy high school student. Recently, one particular actor, who was an extra in perhaps the film’s most famous part, shared a behind-the-scenes story involving the lead actress.

The actor, named David, who shared his story via his wife’s Instagram, played the character who got pushed by Silverstone as she said her iconic line, “As if!” As an extra, he said he generally didn’t speak to the principle actors but shared that he and the Pretty Thing star did have a memorable exchange while filming.

“I did chat with her a little bit specifically after the first time that she did the scene — and she shoved me really hard,” he recalled. “She said, ‘Oh my God, I’m so sorry. Did I hit you too hard?’ And I was like, ‘Oh no, it’s fine.’ You know, ‘Do whatever you’ve got to do. I’m just happy to be here.'”

“I loved it, and Alicia was super cool and nice,” he added.

Beyond that scene though, the actor shared that it was “frowned upon” to chat with the main actors or ask for an autograph.

“You’re not supposed to bother them with non-work things,” he said.

“I just sort of went back into the extra pool after that and kept working as an extra on the production for another couple weeks, which is where a lot of those other scenes were filmed,” he added.

He did share, however, that he briefly spoke with another one of the film’s stars, the late Brittany Murphy.

The film, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, is finally getting the sequel treatment, where Silverstone will reprise her role. The announcement, out last month, confirmed that streaming platform Paramount+ will be taking on the project with plans to begin production in Los Angeles in 2027. 

“Clueless is coming home,” Jane Wiseman, head of Originals for Paramount+, told Variety. “Thirty-one years ago, Alicia Silverstone’s Cher Horowitz captivated audiences with her signature chic style, sharp wit and relentless optimism, helping make ‘Clueless’ a box office hit and instant pop culture classic. We’re especially proud to be filming this much-anticipated series in Los Angeles, honoring its starring role in the original film while investing in the city’s exceptional talent and crews.”

As sad as it is to say goodbye to beaches and barbecues, this change in season does mean that fan-favorite fall flavors are on their way. In fact, some, including Dunkin’s newly released fall menu, are already here—and this year, Dunkin’ is welcoming the fall not only with the return of some of the brand’s best-loved menu items but also with the help of TikTok star and social media influencer Alix Earle.

As announced today, Earle and Dunkin’ have collaborated on the new Alix’s Earle-Y Riser Meal, a breakfast meal co-created with Dunkin’ by the star herself, based on her go-to order. The meal includes a Shakin’ Espresso with sugar-free vanilla and almond milk, a Sausage, Egg and Cheese Hash Brown Wake-Up Wrap and three assorted Munchkins donut holes.

The Alix’s Earle-Y Riser Meal is also done in partnership with Netflix, as a celebration of Earle’s new Netflix reality series Earle Meets World, hitting the streaming platform on Sept. 4. The debut of the meal also comes with Dunkin’s new social media campaign, “The Wake-Up Committee,” highlighting the idea that “morning starts when you do” and featuring a new ad spot with Earle, following the influencer as she gets ready to go about her many daily tasks and enjoys the Alix’s Earle-Y Riser Meal.

In addition to Earle’s breakfast meal, Dunkin’s fall lineup includes new additions and returning favorites. Among the new menu items are the Tiramisu Collection items, which include:

• Tiramisu Cloud Latte: Espresso and whole milk with tiramisu swirl, marshmallow cold foam and hot chocolate powder.
• Tiramisu Shakin’ Espresso: A double shot of espresso shaken with tiramisu swirl and oat milk.
• Tiramisu Marshmallow Matcha: Matcha mixed with tiramisu swirl and whole milk, topped with marshmallow cold foam and hot chocolate powder.

Also new this year are the Berry Clementine Refresher, which offers a twist of berry and clementine with guests’ choice of green tea, black tea, lemonade, oat milk, protein milk or sparkling water, and the Berry Daydream Refresher, which mixes the Berry Clementine Refresher with oat milk and is topped with sweet cold foam.

Returning and new pumpkin items include:
