Police Respond to Home of Frankie Valli, Iconic Singer and 'The Sopranos' Star
The iconic singer and Sopranos star,Frankie Valli, had a run-in with authorities when police were called to his Los Angeles home. Reports claim the incident occurred over a violation of a restraining order pertaining to a domestic dispute.
According to TMZ, police arrived knocking on the singer's door on Sunday, May 3rd at 5 p.m. Details in the report state that the call that was made was in relation to a 38-year-old male, later identified as Valli's son, Francesco. By the time police arrived at the residence, Francesco had already left, and his rep details that what occurred was a "private family matter." No arrests were made at the time.
News of the incident comes after Valli's other son, Emilio, 31, was granted a temporary restraining order in 2024. The order was given after Emilion allegedly said that his older brother tried to break into their father's home and made threats against him and the singer. As a result, the restraining order orders Francesco to stay away from his father.
According to reports, the need for a restraining order came months after brewing tension within the family. Emilio accused his older brother of opioid addiction, erratic behavior, and pawning his father's items to support his addiction. People reported that Francesco had also "repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill" Emilio and their father. Tensions only escalated when Valli had cut off Francesco financially. The "Sherry" and "Big Girls Don’t Cry" singer has previously commented that he is "saddened" by what has occurred.

Following the end of the initial temporary restraining order, a new one was issued to span three years and expire on April 29, 2027.
Emilion and Francesco are two of the six children Valli has fathered. His first marriage was in his early 20s with a woman named Mary, who already had a daughter, and the two had two more daughters before divorcing in 1971. Valli's stepdaughter and his youngest, Celia and Francine, died in 1980. His third marriage was to Randy Clohessy in 1984, and he had three sons, Francesco, Emilio, and Brando.
Besides being a legendary singer, Valli is also known for his acting credits. He appeared in Miami Vice as a mob boss, Full House, the TV movie Witness to the Mob, and the film And So It Goes. He largely became known for his recurring role as mobster Rusty Million in The Sopranos.
'90s Sitcom Star Jenna Elfman Returns to FOX in New Spy Thriller
The cast of the upcoming FOX drama The Interrogator just got a lot more interesting. Popular '90s sitcom star Jenna Elfman, best known for her role as Dharma Montgomery on Dharma & Greg, has signed on.
Initially announced in February 2026, The Interrogator's premiere season is slated for 12 episodes starring Sir Stephen Fry as MI6 agent Conrad Henry. The series will also feature cast members Luke Kleintank and Michael Beach.
The Interrogator's logline (via Variety) says that the upcoming drama will feature "MI6 agent Conrad Henry (Fry) and his elite team. When conventional methods have failed, Henry’s quirky charm, superior intellect, and mind-bending behavioral maneuvers make him the only man able to lockpick the minds of the world’s most dangerous criminals."
As for Elfman's character, she will play Woodrow, who "was a rising star in the CIA, until a mission gone awry sent her tumbling down the ladder. Now she finds herself at the D.I.A. as a handler for Henry’s group. She sees it as a demotion — the first step on her climb back up to where she fell from. She supervises Henry’s cases, pushes him, and often quarrels with him — Conrad is always seven steps ahead, and Woodrow is rarely more than five steps ahead. But the pair have a grudging mutual respect that makes for a fun, strange-bedfellows partnership."
This role will show a different side of Elfman when it comes to her acting chops. Her most recent role of Eve Drake alongside Tim Allen in Shifting Gearsleaned into her signature comedic timing and lighthearted charm.
In tone and intensity, The Interrogator is shaping up to be more in line with Homeland, which starred another beloved '90s star, Claire Danes. This upcoming FOX series also leans into the same type of high-stakes storytelling and psychological tension, allowing Elfman to really show off her acting chops.
This will mark an evolution from Elfman's other recent roles in drama series, including Dark Winds, as well as her longer series arc in Fear the Walking Dead, which showcased her ability to handle intensity and survival-driven storytelling.
The Interrogator is being developed by Fox Entertainment Studios and Lionsgate Television. While no premiere date has been released yet, it is expected to air in the 2026-27 TV season.

1984 Hit Ranked Among ‘Greatest Rock Duets of All Time’ Became a Movie Classic— ‘A Magic Moment’
In 1984, two rock icons released a magical duet. The song, titled “Almost Paradise,” was recorded by Mike Reno and Ann Wilson as part of the soundtrack for the movie Footloose. The power ballad, penned by Eric Carmen and Dean Pitchford, peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 that summer and was one of three songs from the soundtrack to hit the Top 10.
At the time, “Almost Paradise” was the highest charting song to date for both Heart legend Wilson and Loverboy frontman Reno.
Ultimate Classic Rock ranked the power ballad one of the "greatest rock duets” of all time, noting, “Together, the vocalists’ intertwined their voices in a soaring, heartfelt ode to romance.”
Pitchford was happy to get two of music’s biggest voices for the songFootloose was one of the biggest movies of 1984. Not only did Pitchford write the screenplay, but he also penned the lyrics to all the soundtrack songs. In an interview with Songfacts, he revealed he spent 12 hours writing "the song "Almost Paradise" with Carmen, then pitched it to the movie director.
“We turned out a song that a lot of people wanted to record, and we were able to get Ann Wilson of Heart and Mike Reno of Loverboy,” Pitchford added. “Being able to snag two of the monster voices in '80s pop music was a real feather in our cap.”

Ann Wilson called it a ‘killer’ songWilson was reportedly the first approached to record the song. In an interview with Professor of Rock, she shared, “They asked me to sing the song, and they gave me my choice. They said in a perfect world, which man would you like to sing with? I went, ‘Paul Rodgers,’ you know, without even skipping a beat. But he wasn't available, and then I said Robert Plant, and of course he wasn't available. None of the ones that I chose were [available]. … Lou Gramm definitely was one … it would have been a whole different thing with Steve Perry, you know."

Wilson added that she was very happy to ultimately work with Reno, whom she described as “a great guy” and “a gentleman.”
“It was the first of its kind,” Wilson told Songfacts of the completed song. “It was at the very dawning of the bombastic ballad era. I just think it was a great song. A killer song.”

Reno called the recording session 'a magic moment'Reno also shared his side of the song’s backstory. In an interview with The Huffington Post, he said of Wilson, “I’ve always loved Heart, I love the way she sings, and she’s a wonderful person–I don’t know if there’s any better singer out there than Ann Wilson.”
The Loverboy legend told Professor of Rock he flew to Chicago to record with Wilson during a touring break, and they recorded the song in one take after he asked her if she had learned her part of the song.
“They closed the curtains to the sound room, engineering room, and we were just chatting," he recalled. "And around the end of the chat, I asked, ‘Do you know the song, did you learn it?’ She goes, ‘Oh yeah, I know it.' And I said, ‘Do you want to try it?’ And there was a microphone just above us, so she said, ‘Sure.”
“So we stood facing each other with one microphone, and I said, ‘Keith, can you roll and we're going to record one?’" Reno continued. "And he just recorded one, and he just went, 'Thank you. Perfect.’ Like, when does that ever happen? Singing in the same microphone like that, you know what I mean? And it's boom, done. One take and... it's literally like a magic moment. And that's kind of why I don't know, it's just every time I hear it, I just remember singing it. It wasn't like a big deal; we just sang it. She knew her part, I knew mine.”

Rare ‘Shooting Stars’ From Halley’s Comet Peak This Week—Here’s When to Watch
If you haven't dusted off your stargazing skills in a while, this week is the perfect time to head outside. The Eta Aquariid meteor shower—one of the best meteor displays of the year—peaks May 5 and 6, when Earth passes through a cloud of debris left behind by Halley's Comet.
This isn't just any celestial event. The Eta Aquariids rank among the strongest meteor showers of the year, and what makes them particularly special is their origin story. The particles burning up in our atmosphere come from one of the most legendary comets in human history. According to Live Science, Halley's Comet, which last graced our skies in 1986, left behind a trail of dust and rock as it orbited the sun. Now, Earth is passing through that ancient debris field, creating one of nature's most reliable light shows, and the phenomenon isn’t expected to occur again until 2061—35 years from now.
What to Expect When You Look UpFor viewers in the Northern Hemisphere, expect to see between 10 and 30 meteors per hour at peak activity, according to the American Meteor Society. Those in southern locations—or lucky enough to be viewing from the Southern Hemisphere—can see up to 60 meteors per hour under ideal conditions. The particles enter Earth's atmosphere at roughly 40 miles per second, creating fast, bright streaks that seem to radiate from the constellation Aquarius.
Here's the tricky part, though: the moon apparently isn't playing nicely this year. A waning gibbous moon that's 84 percent full will brighten the night sky, potentially washing out the fainter meteors and reducing visibility. But don't let that discourage you. While Eta Aquariids are viewed as the best from the Southern tropics, it’s still possible to spy them from other places in the world.

When and Where to Look- Best time: Just before dawn on May 6, when the moon dips lower toward the western horizon, and the radiant point climbs higher in the eastern sky.
- Beat the moon's glare: Position yourself with a large object, like a tree or building, between you and the moon to block its brightness.
- Pick the right spot: A clear, dark location away from city lights will dramatically improve your chances of spotting these cosmic visitors.
- Prepare for viewing: Bring a blanket, lie flat on your back, and give your eyes at least 20 to 30 minutes to adjust to the darkness—then look up towards the east or southeast. No telescope needed; these meteors are best viewed with the naked eye.
- Don't worry about missing the peak: The shower extends through the end of May, so if clouds roll in on peak night, you'll have other opportunities to catch the show.
Whether you're a seasoned skywatcher or just someone who appreciates a little cosmic magic, the Eta Aquariids offer a chance to witness something that connects us directly to history. After all, people watched Halley's Comet pass by centuries ago, and now we get to celebrate its journey through space in a whole new way.

Robert Irwin Reveals the Surprising Reason His Dad Would Never Have Done 'Dancing With the Stars' (Exclusive)
Robert Irwin may be one of the most beloved competitors in Dancing With the Stars history—but according to the Irwin family, his late dad Steve would never have set foot on that ballroom floor.
Over the weekend, I attended the Steve Irwin Gala, which was held at the gorgeous Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. The annual event benefits Wildlife Warriors—the foundation Steve and Terri Irwin founded in 2002—and helps protect injured, threatened or endangered wildlife. I was so inspired when they told me about the incredible work they do—but given Robert's runaway success on DWTS, I just had to ask if his legendary dad would have ever considered competing for the mirrorball.
Read on to discover more about the family's vital wildlife conservation efforts—and the reason Steve Irwin would have had no shot on the show. (Russell Crowe already knows why.)

When I asked Robert and Terri whether Steve would have ever competed on DWTS, they immediately erupted in laughter and responded in perfect unison: "No!"
While it's hilarious to imagine the late, great and larger-than-life Aussie attempting a foxtrot or tango in the ballroom, they explained it all comes down to rhythm. "He would've not done any stars thing," Terri laughed. Robert joked that not even the best DWTS pro could have helped his dad! "Not even Witney [Carson] could've gotten any sense of rhythm out of [him], I don't think!"
The Night Steve Irwin Joined Russell Crowe's Band OnstageLong before Robert was twirling across primetime television, Steve and Terri attended a concert together. "Russell Crowe has a band that used to be called 30 Odd Foot of Grunts," Terri told me. "I think I was pregnant with Bindi at the time. Steve got up on stage with him and they gave him a tambourine."
His tambourine performance was incredibly entertaining—but for all the wrong reasons. "The whole band still talks about Steve's complete lack of rhythm," Terri laughed. Robert jumped in with the band's verdict: "Only person they've ever seen to just not understand the concept of rhythm!"
As Terri put it, "Tambourine won the fight."

"30 Odd Years of Grunt," Robert quipped. "It was a moment that's been remembered for nearly 30 years."
For a man who fearlessly wrestled crocodiles and scaled fences to escape charging cassowaries, the tambourine remains one of his most formidable opponents.

But the Russell Crowe story is one example of how the Irwin family chooses to keep Steve's memory alive and honor his legacy—by sharing the joy and laughter he brought to people all over the world.
"I have a bloopers clip of Steve," Terri said when asked about her favorite footage of her late husband. "That is my favorite, and it makes me tear up with laughter because he was always falling over a fence or out of a tree—or something! And to have captured that all on camera."
She continued: "He was the first person, as we say, in Australia to take the Mickey out of himself. Because he was just living his best life and having a great time, so he didn't mind. And I think that's what's so important to remember Steve with so much love and fun. That's who he was."
Robert echoed his mom's sentiment, recalling specific footage that he'll always remember—including the time Steve had to scale a fence to avoid being attacked by a cassowary, and another moment where he got stuck in a bus and had to crawl out the window!

’90s Country Band Announces New Members & Tour After Frontman’s Death
Just months after the death of longtime frontman Raul Malo, The Mavericks are stepping back into the spotlight—this time with a new chapter shaped by grief, gratitude, and a determination to keep the music alive.
In a heartfelt message shared with fans, the band acknowledged the profound loss of their leader, calling Malo their “irreplaceable brother” while also making it clear that his legacy will continue to guide them forward.
“We know that we can’t replace Raul, but, we can still, in bold spirit, continue to play this joyous music and celebrate The Mavericks legacy together,” the band wrote. “We are all wanting to find a way to heal and in the best way we know how to. Music is the medicine.”
That healing will take shape on the road.
The Mavericks announced “The Mavericks and Friends: The Music Lives On Tour,” along with the addition of two powerful new voices: James Otto and Emily West, who will join as guest vocalists.
Both artists already share a connection to the band’s recent past. During the emotional December tribute shows at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium—held just days before Malo’s death—Otto and West delivered standout performances that, according to the band, “stole the show both nights.”
For Otto, the invitation carries deep meaning.
“I am humbled to lend my talents to the band and share the stage with my golden voiced friend Emily West to celebrate Raul & The Mavericks musical legacy,” he shared, adding, “I believe in my heart Raul would want the band and the music he spent a lifetime creating to play on.”
West echoed that sentiment, writing, “It is with great joy that I join The Mavericks on tour this summer… honoring the incomparable Raul Malo and his timeless works of art… The music lives on.”
Fans, many still mourning Malo’s loss, quickly rallied around the announcement.
“Music is the medicine. So gladdened to hear this news,” one wrote, while another added, “Raul created too much joy for it to be silenced.”
Others acknowledged the emotional weight of what’s ahead, with one fan noting it will be “very emotional at first,” but ultimately celebrating the band’s return.
Malo, who died on Dec. 8, 2025, at age 60 after a battle with cancer, helped define The Mavericks’ genre-blending sound—fusing country, rock, pop, and Latin influences into something entirely their own.
Now, as the band prepares to return to the stage without him, that sound becomes something else, too: a living tribute.

Dave Ramsey Wants Tennessee Couple to Sell Their Newly Built $660k Dream Multigenerational Home
Ruth and her husband wanted to spend as much time with her father-in-law as possible after his 2008 stroke. In 2023, they approached their in-laws about building a family compound, but when the father-in-law passed away in June 2025, everything changed.
🏡 Get the latest real estate news in your inbox daily with Parade's newsletter 🏡
The Ramsey Show CallTo figure out how to handle this tough situation, Ruth called into The Ramsey Show to ask for advice. She and her husband, along with her in-laws, each contributed $100,000 to building a multigenerational dream home. Ruth and her husband were up front about their finances, noting they could only afford a $1,500 monthly mortgage payment. After all the building costs, the $660,000 home came out to about $3,600, with the in-laws covering the other $2,100.

The family moved in September 2024, but by June 2025, Ruth’s father-in-law had passed away. Her mother-in-law met someone new and had moved in with him by August 2025. She initially agreed to keep paying the $2,100 as promised. By January 2026, she dropped her payments to $1,500 and now refuses to pay any at all. She insists she gets her share of the house when it’s sold, though.
Ruth, desperate to keep her home, asked Dave Ramsey for advice. He told her that her only option was to sell.
Where They Went WrongRuth and her husband made a fatal mistake; they never created a co-ownership agreement. People are less likely to sign formal paperwork with family members or those they trust, but that’s exactly who should have one in place.
Approximately 59.7 million Americans are living in multigenerational homes. That’s 17%, the highest since records began in 2013. As the cost of living continues to rise, many people may find themselves in cohabitation. Keeping your assets covered through documented legal agreements is the only way to protect everyone involved.
Since the couple has paid only 18 months of mortgage at the time of publication, they have little equity in the home. There’s a chance the sale won’t allow each party to recoup their initial investment. Although Ramsey did tell Ruth that the only fair way to split the profits was to deduct the amount the mother-in-law refused to pay from her cut.

A Silver LiningAs far as the emotional toll this has taken on the couple, Ramsey comforted Ruth by telling her the time spent with her father-in-law before his passing was payment for the turmoil that came after. Hopefully, they can find peace with that.

Beloved '80s Horror Film Star Dead at 60
An actor known for his 1980s horror film roles has died at the age of 60. Jonathan Tiersten, who played Ricky Thomas in Sleepaway Camp, died at his home in New Jersey last week, according to TMZ.
The actor's brother, William Tiersten, told TMZ that the medical examiner is investigating the death.
View this post on InstagramTiersten's very first role was an uncredited one. In 1981, he appeared in one episode of the soap opera Another World as a kid with a basketball.
SleepawayCamp was Tiersten's first significant acting role. Although he went on to have roles in nearly 20 projects, that role as Ricky was the one that fans remembered him for the most.
The teaser for the 1983 horror moviereads, "Bunks and the showers are a mad stabber's beat at a summer camp strictly for teens."
One movie critic explained of Sleepaway Camp, "It proves that in many very important ways, you can't recreate 80's horror. This movie might not be for everyone, but if you are a fan of campy horror, or even just cult classics in general, you should enjoy this one as much as I did."
A sequel was eventually filmed, and Tiersten reprised his role as Ricky. He acknowledged, "My role as Ricky this time is not as large, but I like to think it's still fairly cheesy."
Tiersten shared that he loved reconnecting with friends while filming the 2008 sequel, Return to Sleepaway Camp. In addition, he noted, he made new connections in the music business. He had formed a band named Ten Tiers.
The actor joked that playing Ricky again after so many years was just like "riding a p*ssed-off bike." Tiersten added, "There's a lot of Ricky still in me."
"As I've gotten older, I think I'm a more 'look on the bright side' kind of guy than I was when I was younger... Life's hard. You know, it's not hard to find things to be bitter about," he admitted.
Fans have taken to social media and Reddit to share their condolences and stories about Tiersten.
Several fans on Reddit noted that one of the actor's iconic lines from Sleepaway Camp, "Eat sh*t and live, Bill!" continues to be a favorite quote of theirs from any horror movie.
One fan wrote that the line "remains rent-free in my head and is one of the greatest movie quotes ever. RIP to a legend."
Tiersten's last Instagram post was shared on April 24. It was a photo of his young son, and the caption read, "To have my son is something I cannot define."
Shortly after learning of Tiersten's death, one fan went to that last post and commented, "Please tell me this news isn't true. So sad to hear this...RIP thank you for the memories."
'NCIS: Origins' Star Austin Stowell Teases 'Life-Changing' Gibbs Decision in Tonight’s Finale (Exclusive)
The NCIS: Origins Season 2 finale is tonight and, of course, it comes with a twist. It may not seem as big as last season’s potential death of Cecilia “Lala” Dominguez (Mariel Molino) in that dramatic car crash, but it brings its own set of problems. The Camp Pendleton NIS office is in danger of being shut down, which would mean the breakup of the team as they would be sent to different offices.
With the uncertain future, we’d love to see some resolution in the relationship between Lala and Gibbs (Austin Stowell), even though he’s still married to Diane (Kathleen Kenny), but they have agreed to a divorce.
“There's obviously feelings there," Stowell exclusively told Parade at this year’s CBS Fest. "And for many, many reasons -- the fact they work together -- they haven't been able to make that relationship come to fruition. So I think that tension is always this wonderful thing."
“So, you're watching two people who want something and can't have it, and they're never saying what's on their minds,” he continued. “I think it's what's in between the lines that is so important. We've had to have dialogue between each other, which has allowed us to give winks and nods to what might be.”
As to whether we will ever find out what does happen between the two, we’re definitely going to have to wait at least one more season, which we already know will happen.
“So much has yet to be explained, and at the end of the day, this all started with the story of her,” Stowell points out. “There has to be the memories as an older Gibbs reflects on this chapter of his life."
As for tonight’s finale, Stowell gave us the following tease: “The team is going to be challenged in ways that they haven't before. Clearly, it's going to be pushed to the brink. And when you're pushed to the brink, you make big decisions, life-changing decisions, life-altering decisions. And sometimes you have to be reminded of how fragile life is in order for you to really go get what you want.”
And what we can tease – having seen the "Hollywood Ending" episode – is that Gibbs does make a decision to go get something he really wants, but at the same time, there is another big cliffhanger that we won’t spoil but which we will discuss in an exclusive interview with co-showrunners Gina Lucita Monreal and David J. North following the airing of the “Hollywood Ending” episode.
NCIS: Origins airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Streams next day on Paramount+.

Daniel Radcliffe's Paralyzed Stunt Double Is Telling His Harry Potter Story in an Unexpected Way
For a decade, David Holmes was the one doing the flying. As Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double across all eight Harry Potter films, Holmes performed the broom sequences, the wire work, the physical demands of bringing the Boy Who Lived to life while Radcliffe stood nearby. Then in January 2009, during rehearsals for a stunt sequence on Deathly Hallows: Part 1, a wire pulled Holmes backward into a wall with enough force to break his neck. He was conscious the whole time. When the stunt coordinator grabbed his hand and asked him to squeeze, he could not feel a thing.
Holmes, now 45, has spent the years since building a life that most people would not have predicted. He launched a production company with two friends who are also paralyzed. He began advocating for stunt performers and for disability rights. In 2020, he co-hosted a podcast with Radcliffe called Cunning Stunts, interviewing other stunt actors about the risks they take that audiences rarely see. In 2024, he published a memoir, titled The Boy Who Lived, about his years on the Potter sets and his recovery. And in 2023, Radcliffe served as executive producer on an HBO documentary about Holmes's life, which earned widespread praise for its portrayal of resilience without sentimentality.
Now Holmes is taking his story to the stage. Deadline reported on May 1 that a play based on his life is currently in development, with a workshop taking place this week at the Kiln Theatre in Kilburn, London. The production, also titled The Boy Who Lived, has been two years in the making, a timeline that included securing rights from Warner Bros., HBO, J.K. Rowling, and Radcliffe himself. According to producer Tom Taylor-Mills, who described the show as part stand-up comedy, part TED talk, Holmes is expected to appear in it as himself. A video of the workshop will be shared with Radcliffe as the creative team determines whether there will be a role for a fictionalized version of the star in the production.
Related: Why Harry Potter's New Hagrid Wrote One Word 7,000 Times
What makes the project notable is what it is not. Taylor-Mills told Deadline the show is not 'pity porn.' It's about what happens when something catastrophic occurs in a person's life and they choose to keep living it fully. Holmes, who took up automobile racing after his accident and drives with hand controls, has been consistent about that framing for years. 'My stunts in those films were pivotal moments in the story,' he once said of the Potter franchise. 'Harry Potter is a safe space for a lot of people.' His own story, it turns out, has become something similar.
The Kiln Theatre in London has been described as a potential home for a future production. A timeline for a full run has not been announced.
