Cracker Barrel Brings Back Campfire Meals for Summer Season
Hypothetically, there's never a bad time of the year to visit your local Cracker Barrel.
Providing fans delicious, traditional Southern fare with a distinctly approachable atmosphere, Cracker Barrel has the perfect array of year-round menu items capable of satisfying customers at breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Of course, the iconic restaurant chain has also earned continued attention for their various seasonal items, such as their fan-favorite Campfire Meals.
Originally introduced in 1997, Campfire Meals served as a limited-time offering at Cracker Barrel that presented menu items that looked as though they had been cooked over an open fire (such as the kind of meals you'd make outdoors while camping).
After a seven year absence, the cherished menu items eventually returned to Cracker Barrel locations across the country, prompting widespread fan anticipation for 2026's summer season.
Fortunately, Cracker Barrel confirmed in a recent press release the upcoming return of their treasured Campfire Meals, sharing details about the items' return and what diners might expect from this year's tinfoil-wrapped meals. This includes details about the following menu items:
- Campfire Chicken – "A savory, marinated half-chicken seasoned with campfire spices, sealed and slow-cooked in foil with sweet corn on the cob, red skin potatoes, carrots, grape tomatoes and onions in a buttery broth."
- Campfire Beef – "Tender beef is slow-braised with the same classic campfire vegetables and spices, then sealed and cooked in foil to create a hearty, savory and flavorful dish."
In addition, Cracker Barrel similarly announced the debut of a first-ever Campfire Breakfast Skillet, which includes bacon, smoked sausage, roasted red peppers and onions, Colby cheese and three scrambled eggs.
Guests can also look forward to some sweeter campfire-inspired treats, such as the following desserts:
- S'mores Brownie Skillet – "A nod to the experience of making s'mores over a campfire, featuring a rich chocolate brownie topped with a roasted marshmallow and a melting Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar, all served warm over crumbled graham crackers and paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce."
- Cinnamon Roll Skillet – "Fresh-baked mini cinnamon rolls with a gooey cinnamon filling, finished with cream cheese icing and served warm."
"Campfire Meals have been part of our story for nearly three decades, and every time they return, our guests remind us how meaningful this tradition is," said Sarah Moore, Chief Marketing Officer at Cracker Barrel. "Our foil-wrapped Campfire Chicken and Beef are some of the most anticipated dishes we serve all year, known for their bold flavors and the way they bring people together around the table. This summer, we're excited to introduce Campfire flavors at breakfast and allow our guests to experience that same tradition in a new way."

"I've been campaigning for Val [Chmerkovskiy]," she said while chatting with E! News' Erin Lim Rhodes at the Pierre Hotel, ahead of attending the Met Gala on Monday. "I don't know if they hear me, I'm sending out some emails, putting my word in."
"We'll see where everyone wants to place me," the reality star added, mentioning that she's excited to learn the cha-cha and the waltz.
View this post on InstagramAs for preparing for her time on the ballroom dance competition show, the reality star is starting now.
"I got my butt in the gym, because I gotta build my stamina," she said. "I have dance numbers to perform, we're already in prep mode."
For the event, known as the biggest night in fashion though, Miller donned a cream-colored corseted ensemble with a matching head piece.
“I feel like corsets were made at the beginning of time," she told the outlet. "We had a corset before we had electricity. Why not incorporate that into my look? I feel like I'm serving bridal, but I feel like I just wanted to look like super snatch, no waist, give people something to look up top, and of course, had to have a little hair piece.”

How Jessica Alba Embraces Non-Toxic Living at Home (Exclusive)
When Jessica Alba founded clean living brand The Honest Company in 2011, it was revolutionary. But for Alba, starting a company based upon natural and non-toxic values was only sensible, as these principles had already been guiding her way of life for a while — and they still do today.
Not only that, but The Honest Company's disruption of the personal care industry created a roadmap for the numerous non-toxic beauty and baby brands on the market that have emerged in the past 15 years.
Parade recently spoke with Alba, on behalf of her new partnership with LUNA Bar. "I always have them in my in my purse and my pantry, and my kids love them," she says, adding that her favorite flavor of all time is LemonZest — but she's also been enjoying Nutz Over Chocolate and the brand new Berry Bars.
The actress and entrepreneur also opened up to Parade about how she and her family adhere to their non-toxic living values — and what it meant when astronaut Christina Koch brought her lotion to space on Artemis II.
How Jessica Alba Embraces Non-Toxic Living With Her Family View this post on Instagram"Why I created [The Honest Company] comes directly from my own home, how I live my life," Alba tells Parade over Zoom, speaking about how she embraces the brand's principles with her three children.
"I try to use as many non-toxic, better-for-you, no-synthetic fragrance items all throughout my home," Alba says.
For instance, Alba utilizes "as many natural fabrics and materials in [her] house as possible." Additionally, her go-to home cleaner is homemade, and composed of just vinegar, water and essential oils.
"We clean a lot with vinegar and water, and so I'll put essential oils in the vinegar so my house doesn't smell like salad dressing," she jokes. "That's just sort of how I live my life ... It is really part of of my lifestyle."
How Astronaut Christina Koch Validated the Challenges Jessica Alba Faced When Founding The Honest Company View this post on InstagramIn April, when the Artemis II mission flew by the moon, astronaut Christina Koch brought a bottle of The Honest Company lotion with her — and Alba's wholesome Instagram video reacting to the live feed of Koch talking about the lotion racked up millions of views. But for Alba, her product making it to outer space was more than just a fun viral moment — it validated her tireless work on the brand.
"You have this idea of just wanting to create the best products you can for people, and wanting them to be affordable and really, really high integrity ingredients and it's a concept, right? And you never know if it's going to work or not until you put it out there," Alba explains.
"I got pushback about this company for about three and a half years before I launched it. People were telling me there's no way, and you can't do that many products at once ... you can't launch it digital first," she continues. "And I got all the reasons why it shouldn't work or it shouldn't happen. And then to have [Koch bring The Honest Company lotion to space] ... It was just so affirming."
4 Birth Months With Divine Wisdom, According to Experts
Divine wisdom can be understood as a deep inner knowing of the true meaning of life and how the universal laws and forces work. It is a spiritual gift we access naturally, and that derives from our soul’s journey. Divine wisdom originates from ancestral guidance, past life experiences, and the unique gifts and talents we received at birth. While every single birth month carries gifts and talents, there are four that carry divine wisdom within their celestial DNA. Read on to discover the four birth months most likely to carry divine wisdom.

Which Birth Months That Are Divinely Wise?Three astrologers and authors with expertise in the field of astrology, spirituality, and human design share with us the divine wisdom carried by these birth months. If you were born in either March, November, July, or December, you have access to divine support, guidance, and cosmic favor.
March: All-Knowing WisdomAccording to experts, March brings the most divinely guided souls due to its great polarity of endings and beginnings. Aycee Brown, astrologer, human design expert, and author of “Embody Your Magic,” affirms that “When a soul chooses to be born in March, they are experiencing two completely different polarities. One that has experienced so many things through many lifetimes, and another one who is deciding to have a more vigorous fresh start.” March brings what is known as the Aplha-Omega point meeting, ending an astrological year and beginning a new one. This unique time liaison energy means people born at that threshold experience a type of divine favor other people haven't.” Whether you’re an ethereal Pisces or an ambitious Aries, you carry an all-knowing wisdom that is connected to the cycles of time. As you close doors and begin walking new paths, you’re accompanied by a great team of angels, ancestors, and spirit guides.
OTHER: The 4 Most Social Butterfly Birth Dates
November: Truth-Seeking Wisdom“People born in November, the time of the year when the veil is thin, came in with a direct line to something deeper,” says Madi Murphy, professional astrologer and author of “In the Cosmic Zone.” This birth month’s truth-seeking wisdom isn’t loud, nor performative—it’s instinctual! According to Madi, “November babies are usually guided through intense, transformative experiences that shape them fast. Their profound path is about becoming someone who trusts themselves so deeply that they don’t need constant external validation. They just know when something is off, when something is meant for them, when it’s time to go all in, and when it’s time to leave—that’s the Scorpio and Sagittarius blend.” If you were born in November, your truth-seeking wisdom derives from the combination of an underworld vision with an almost wild trust in your journey. The deep soul awareness meeting divine optimism within you makes you unstoppable,” Murphy adds.
EXPAND: Which Classic Movie Matches Your Birth Date
July: Wisdom Guided by the LightWhile some birth months are divinely guided by energetic thresholds and others by divine instinct, others are guided by pure light. Theresa Reed, tarot expert and author of “The Book of Astrological Returns,” affirms that “although there are other months that allow us to tap into divine wisdom, July brings the heavens closer than all the others.” Being a month for potent spiritual wisdom, July merges Cancer and Leo, the two only zodiac signs ruled by the luminaries, the Moon and the Sun. Reed affirms that the ancients have always worshipped the light of the luminaries in search of divine favor and guidance. Both sensitive Cancer and bright Leo are particularly coded to follow their inner light. “Cancer energy is about trusting one’s gut, and Leo finds the courage to live truths when connecting with the heart. When July natives follow their hearts instead of the herd, they become wise beyond measure,” Reed adds.

December: Wisdom Divinely Attuned to TimeDecember may not be the last month of the astrological year, but it is the last month of the calendar year. This exciting and simultaneously grounding closing-of-the-chapter type of energy is reflected in those born in this month. Truly being of opposite nature, Sagittarius and Capricorn are in fact complementary, as their influence reflects the reality of life. Sagittarius is all about the faith and optimism that is required to grow and expand. Capricorn, on the other hand, is about the contraction required for the long-term view to be successful. December natives know life isn’t about constant expansion—but instead, gracefully flowing between periods of growth and contraction. In a world where the illusion of “forever blooming” looms over many, December-born are a breath of fresh air. Their divine wisdom, especifically attuned to the passage of time, reminds us that life is less about the results and much more about the enjoyment of the journey itself.

Iconic ‘I Love Lucy’ Episode, Ranked Among the ‘Greatest TV Episodes' of All Time, First Aired on This Day in 1952
I Love Lucy produced many iconic episodes during its six-season run, but one of its most memorable aired 74 years ago today. The 30th episode of the classic CBSsitcom, titled “Lucy Does a TV Commercial,” originally aired on May 5, 1952.
Vulture and CBS News ranked it as one of the best-ever I Love Lucy episodes, with the latter noting that every fan “knows this episode from season one.” “Lucy Does a TV Commercial” was once ranked one of the greatest episodes of all time by TV Guide, and it’s no wonder. The script featured a classic scene that showcased series star Lucille Ball’s gift for physical comedy at its finest.
In the episode, Lucy Ricardo (Ball) gets a job as a pitchwoman for a new liquid vitamin product called "Vitameatavegamin." As she touts the health tonic’s vitamins, minerals, meat, and vegetables, she’s in the dark over the fact that it also contains 23 percent alcohol.
For the commercial, Lucy is required to take a sip of the concoction and announce, “It’s so tasty, too!” As the rehearsal goes on and on, she drinks enough of the product to become visibly intoxicated. She later crashes husband Ricky’s (Desi Arnaz) live television performance and sings along with him while still in a drunken state.
Ball taped the famous scene in one takeWhile Ball’s character required many takes for her commercial, the actress herself breezed through the scene. In an interview with the Television Academy Foundation, show writer Bob Carroll Jr. recalled, “The TV commercial was scripted. It took us a day and a half to get that name Vitameatavegamin, too. That was a tough one.”
Co-writer Madelyn Pugh Davis added, “The most amazing thing is that she didn’t use any cue cards. She did that whole thing in one take. Which she did a lot.”
Ball's daughter, Lucie Arnaz, also shared insight into the iconic episode. "I asked my mother what was in that bottle, and it was apple pectin," Arnaz once told the Today show about the liquid her mother drank in the famous scene.
"If you ever tasted it, you'd know why she made that face. And she didn't want to taste it until they did the scene!” Arnaz shared. “Talk about method acting. But she did it in one shot, no pickup (shots) and it's brilliant."

‘All My Children’ Fans Are Clamoring for Erica Kane’s Return—And Susan Lucci Just Dropped a Major Update
One of daytime television's most recognizable faces, Daytime Emmy Winner Susan Lucci has once again commented on the possibility that she could return to her beloved fan favorite role of All My Children’s Erica Kane.
Lucci was interviewed by EXTRA’s reporter Mona Kosar Abdi about her long run on the ABC soap opera, the Daytime Emmy Awards, and her return to acting in the Jonah Hill feature film Outcome.
During the conversation, Lucci acknowledged that she could return to fans’ screens in the near future. “Lifetime wants to do two movies,” Lucci explains.
The Lifetime movie project is being headed by former All My Children co-stars Kelly Ripaand her husband Mark Conseulos. The news of a reboot were first reported by TV Line’s Michael Ausiello in September of 2024.
At the time, a representative for Lifetime confirmed to TV Line that two films were in early development, with one expected to be holiday-themed.
Lucci shared that now would be the perfect time for the series to return, adding, “[Fans are] clamoring for it.”
The actress previously told Ripa, on her Sirius XM podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera, I would love to play Erica Kane again.”
Lucci shared with Extra that she is optimistic about this project, adding, “I hope that it happens."
Previously, Ripa and Conseulos attempted to retool All My Children for ABC primetime under the title Pine Valley alongside showrunner Leo Richardson. The project was centered on a young journalist who arrives in Pine Valley with a secret agenda and becomes entangled in a long-standing feud between the Kane and Santos families.
All My Children recently began streaming internationally thanks to BEONDTV+. The service currently has over 100 episodes available for purchase, and the series has recently been added to Plex Canada and Pluto TV Canada.
The estate of All My Children creator Agnes Nixon has expressed interest in the show being streamed in the United States, but explained that it is a rights issue with ABC/Disney, and is hoping that with the success of the series finding new life in Canada, it will be rebroadcast in the United States soon, teasing viewers on social media to “stay tuned…”

MTV News Legend Kurt Loder Turns 81
Kurt Loder, the legendary journalist who served as one of the most prominent voices of MTV News during the '80s and '90s, turned 81 on Tuesday.
The New Jersey-raised journalist, who started at Rolling Stone in 1979, joined MTV in 1987 as the host of their music news program, The Week in Rock. He later served as an anchor and correspondent for MTV News, frequently breaking into the iconic music network to deliver news, both music-related and otherwise.
Loder's Departure from TelevisionIn 2023, Loder opened up about his departure from MTV and television as a whole.
“I don’t like seeing old people on television," he shared in an interview with Audacy. "Nothing is forever, and if you're gonna do something, you have to realize that some day you won't be doing it," he added. "You don't want to do the same thing forever, that would be boring. The reason you love something would evaporate if you keep doing it beyond the natural lifespan of it."
Reuniting With Fellow MTV LegendsLast year, Loder reunited with two fellow MTV icons: Matt Pinfield and Chris Connolly. Pinfield, whose time on MTV was prominent thanks to his encyclopedic knowledge of music, recently recovered from a horrible stroke that doctors thought he’d never survive. Connolly has appeared on a variety of other websites and news shows and has since moved on to ESPN.
"So great to spend time with my MTV Brothers, Kurt and Chris again..Such a great night at the amazing @juliettehohnen’s Birthday Party. Here with my old friends that I love and was so fortunate to work with, these two legends.@kurtloder and @chriscconnelly," Pinfield captioned the shot, which showed Loder to his left.
View this post on InstagramIs This the Most Stylish Amenity Kit Ever? Etihad Teams Up With LANEIGE
Even if an international flight on Etihad Airways isn't on your immediate calendar, their latest launch is tapping into two major trends that every skincare obsessive and "resort-core" lover has on their radar right now. The airline just unveiled its "Destination Collection"—a series of 14 collectible amenity kits that feel less like airline freebies and more like the high-end accessories you’d find in a boutique hotel gift shop.
The big draw for beauty fans is the exclusive partnership with LANEIGE, the cult-favorite K-beauty brand known for its "glass skin" results. Etihad is the first airline to bring the brand onboard, tucking hydration heroes like the Water Sleeping Mask and the Berry Lip Sleeping Mask into these new kits. If you’ve ever walked into a Sephora, you know these products have a massive following for their ability to revive "travel-stressed" skin, making this a major win for anyone who values a glowy arrival.

The bags themselves are designed to be "collectible keepsakes" that fit perfectly into the larger trend of vacation-ready, vibrant accessories. Ditching the standard drab airline colors, these kits come in two styles—Pouch and Slim—and feature 14 different colorways inspired by global hubs. From the sunny yellows of Krabi to the deep jewel tones of Lisbon and Mumbai, the bags are embossed with geographic coordinates and a serial number, giving them a limited-edition feel.
Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, notes that bringing the design in-house allowed the airline to create something "authentically Etihad" that feels "personal, curated and beautifully considered." By pairing the science-backed hydration of LANEIGE with a bag that’s cute enough to use as a tech pouch or a poolside clutch long after you land, they’ve managed to turn a flight essential into a genuine lifestyle accessory.
Whether you’re actually flying to Abu Dhabi or just looking to replicate that premium-cabin "Etihad Wellbeing" vibe at home, the message is clear: the most stylish way to travel in 2026 involves a pop of color and a lot of hyaluronic acid.

Aldi’s $8 Entertaining Must-Have Has the Most Genius Space-Saving Feature
I love entertaining at home, don't get me wrong. It's so satisfying to set the table more decoratively, fluff the pillows, and have everything exactly where I need it (unlike how my house looks most days of the week). But planning a gathering at the beach? Or packing up for a picture-perfect afternoon at a gorgeous park? That's when hosting becomes a whole different adventure. Because as dreamy as oceanside snacks and sunset picnics sound, hauling all the drinks, cups, snacks and serving pieces to your destination can feel like an Olympic event.
Here's how it usually goes: you envision effortless elegance and quickly realize you're basically a pack mule with a charcuterie board. That's why finding entertaining essentials that are actually practical feels so rewarding. If something can look cute, serve a real purpose, and somehow not take up half your trunk or storage closet? That's such a grown-up win.

Crofton Collapsible Dispenser, $7.99 at AldiAldi
Frankly, collapsible serveware, like the Crofton Collapsible Beverage Dispenser at Aldi, might just be one of the smartest hosting hacks out there. Anything that helps you bring the party without the bulk is exactly the kind of fabulousness outdoor entertaining needs. It's really a "now you see it, now you don't" type of situation. Just expand the dispenser when you're ready to fill it up with your favorite beverage, then make it compact when it is empty.

The Crofton Collapsible Beverage Dispenser is all kinds of perfect—with little legs to make putting a cup under the tap super easy for dispensing a beverage. And there's even a handle on the lid for easy carrying. The whole thing is plastic, so you don't have to worry about any shattered glass in the event of an accident.
If the light blue colorway shown above isn't really your jam, the same collapsible dispenser is also available in red for only $7.99. So you do have options. In fact, Aldi is really leaning into blue and red right now ahead of Memorial Day, which makes sense. It's also selling a 12-piece glass food storage container set in blue and red that will actually make meal prepping for your warm-weather festivities a total breeze.
I'm probably going to grab at least two of these collapsible dispensers—one for lemonade, one for sangria—that way I'll be party-ready all spring and summer long.

1993 Newbery Medal Winner Named One of the Most Popular YA Dystopians of All Time
With the Newbery Medal to its name and more than 12 million copies sold worldwide, The Giver is often listed as one of the best children's novels of all time. The 1993 dystopian novel by Lois Lowry has been lauded as a masterpiece for over 30 years, and is listed on Goodreads as one of the most popular YA books ever.
Readers have long listed the book as one that's left a huge impact on them saying, "There are still lines, moments, in the book that give me chills," and, "In these days when memories, and indeed history, are being overwritten by bland sameness we still think of Lois Lowry," when recounting their time reading Lowry's novel.
The Giver follows 12-year-old protagonist, Jonas, who lives in the Community, a society built on "Sameness" that has all but eliminated pain, suffering, and even color. The novel opens with Jonas facing his Ceremony of Twelve, where his will be assigned his life's work by the Community's Elders. Jonas is ultimately chosen to be the new "Receiver of Memory," meaning he alone will receive all memory of life and the world before the Sameness. In his training, Jonas begins to learn the dark and harrowing truths behind the Community, and must face the reality of his life and escape towards freedom.

Themes in The Giver include memory and how that shapes society, perception and choice, and the novel even explores eugenics to a certain extent. Despite many academics believing it should be required reading, the book is often subjected to censorship. The American Library Association listed it as one of the most frequently challenged books over since its publication in the 1990s.
While themes of The Giver may be on the heavier side for a typical YA story, readers have long praised it for the way it shaped them upon giving it a first read. Lowry herself has said of the novel that it explores, "the importance of human connection…the vital need for humans to be aware of their interdependence, not only with each other, but with the world and its environment."

NYT Hails Up-and-Coming Ashley Padilla as 'Saturday Night Live's Next Breakout Star: 'She is Carrying the Show'
Ashley Padilla might have first caught audiences' attention through a fart-centric sketch on Saturday Night Live, but already the 32-year-old comedian is becoming the next big thing to debut on the long-running NBC comedy series.
As audiences pay closer and closer attention to Padilla's natural comic abilities on the show, many critics are singling her out as SNL's next breakout star, a rare designation reserved for only a few hallowed legends who have stepped foot on Saturday Night Live's soundstage.
In particular, critics like those at The New York Times were quick to highlight Padilla's effective comedic timing, most especially her dramatic pauses that help make the punchline of every joke that much sharper and more rewarding.
"Such scene-shifting patience has become a hallmark of the breakout season of Ashley Padilla, who in only her second year on SNL has become a hilarious new comic voice, someone likely to define the sensibility of the show for years to come," The New York Times said of Padilla.
"Cutting her teeth at the Groundlings in Los Angeles, Padilla brings an actorly nuance and subtlety to her goofy sketches, specializing in ordinary types (teacher, office worker, suburban mom, girl who just had sex) performed with oddball lovability," the newspaper continued by saying.
In addition to the prestigious publication, average viewers were quick to agree with The New York Times' glowing assessment of the 32-year-old, with many writing complimentary words on Facebook emphasizing Padilla's gifted comedic presence.
"She was freaking hilarious in yesterday's episode," wrote one fan. "The one with the mashed potatoes made me laugh so hard my sides hurt. She's the next Tina Fey."
"She is elevating her level and is quickly becoming a very vital cast member," added another account. "The passing notes skit with Ryan Gosling was beyond hilarious."
"Why is she still a 'featured player'? She is carrying the show!" added a third user.

The Pet Shop Boys are one of the most successful and influential electronic pop acts of all time. Over forty years after the release of their biggest hit, "West End Girls," Neil Tennantand Chris Lowe are still playing to packed crowds, proving the relevance and impact of their music is as timeless as "West End Girls" iconic opening chords.

♬ It's a Sin (2018 Remaster) - Pet Shop BoysTennant’s understated vocals helped define the Pet Shop Boys sound. Known for his half-spoken, half-sung delivery, his style has always felt detached, even slightly ironic, creating the perfect contrast to the synthesizer-driven sound that dominated 1980s pop music.
A Band That Continues to EvolveThe Pet Shop Boys have never relied on nostalgia. Instead, the band continues to evolve and experiment, creating immersive live shows that draw large crowds around the world.
Thanks to Tennant’s distinctive vocals and the band’s continued evolution, a Pet Shop Boys concert is an experience that bridges generations rather than simply taking fans back in time.
Why "West End Girls" Still Resonates TodayOver forty years after its release, "West End Girls" still triggers huge reactions. The iconic opening synth line is instantly recognizable, and the song feels more like an anthem than a nostalgic throwback.
The Pet Shop Boys’ ability to stay true to fan expectations while also evolving can be attributed to the song’s message. At its core, "West End Girls" explores themes of urban life, politics, sexuality, and loneliness—topics that remain relevant today. The track blends rap-style vocals with moody synths that still feel fresh.
Lasting Impact and Global Influence"West End Girls" became a global No. 1 hit, and the band has sold over 50 million records worldwide. Their music has influenced generations of pop artists, particularly through their use of visuals to create immersive live performances that have become a standard in modern concerts.
A Legacy That Continues to GrowThe band’s recent tour stop in Chile is a reminder that the Pet Shop Boys may have made their name in the 1980s, but their impact, relevance, and popularity remain as strong as ever.
On This Day in 1984, a 'Profoundly Weird' New Wave Hit Became Duran Duran’s Last UK No. 1 and First U.S. Smash
Duran Duran ruled British New Wave in the 1980s, and one standout hit marked both their final UK chart-topper and their first major U.S. No. 1.
"The Reflex" captured the band at their most experimental and ambitious. The song blended slick production with an offbeat energy that helped push it to the top of the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.
In fact, the song achieved a rare double milestone, defining two very different points in the band's success story. "The Reflex" had the unusual feat of becoming Duran Duran's first U.S. No. 1 and their final UK chart-topper.
According to the website On This Day in Music, Duran Duran topped the U.K. charts for the final time on May 5, 1984, with "The Reflex." In the United States, the band grabbed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts in June 1984.

The song hailed from the band's third LP, Seven and the Ragged Tiger. It was released in late 1983 and yielded three hit singles: "The Reflex," "Union of the Snake," and "New Moon on Monday."

The song was the leadoff on the LP and had a runtime of over 4 minutes. According to American Songwriter, the band tasked producer Nile Rodgers to remix the track, and it was that version that hit big with listeners.
The outlet wrote, "Rodgers went bold with 'The Reflex.' He used early sampling techniques to create the stammering vocal effects that became so iconic. And he brought deemphasized elements of the original, such as the female backing vocalists, to the forefront. He also shaved the song down to a more single-friendly running time."

However catchy the song was, its most unforgettable element was Simon Le Bon's songwriting. Fans were confused as to what "The Reflex" actually meant.
In a 2015 interview with Absolute Radio, Le Bon said of the song, "It's a kind of childish song. There have been times when I've felt a little tired of it, but that's also to do with the fact that people always ask me what the song's about, and I never tell people what songs are about."
Duran Duran bassist John Taylor added, "It's a really interesting lyric," bass player John Taylor added. "You wouldn't hear a lyric like that today. The early '80s was really great for profoundly weird, paranoid pop lyrics."
The LP Seven and the Ragged Tiger was the last Duran Duran LP with the full lineup of Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes, Roger Taylor, and Andy Taylor until they reunited for the 2004 album Astronaut.
Duran Duran continues to perform and release new music. The original lineup is in place, without guitarist Andy Taylor, who is battling prostate cancer.

May the 4th be with you!- Barbara #maythe4thbewithyou#r2d2#starwarsday," Eden captioned her photo, which showed the TV legend looking happy and healthy in a red sweater, jeans, and black heels. SenLinYu (the author's original AO3 pseudonym) originally published her reimagining of Harry Potterand The Handmaid's Tale as the story titled Manacled. The fanfic was a dark, war epic retelling of a romance focused on the characters Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger, a fanfic trope and fandom typically known as "Dramione." SenLinYu began reworking Manacled into what would become Alchemised in 2022. Film rights were acquired in 2025, though production on the adaptation is not yet under way.

She is subsequently sent to the home of Kaine Ferron, her former academic rival and now High Reeve for the The High Necromancer who now rules the country, Morrough.
