The now-iconic sitcom Diff’rent Strokes debuted in 1978, and actor Todd Bridges just opened up about the rocky road he faced on the show. Even though it’s now considered a classic, the public wasn’t entirely on board with interracial friendships at the time.

Bridges recently appeared on the podcast ‘Taboo’s Comics & Kicks,’ revealing that he received hate mail. In the late 1970’s and early ‘80s, the idea of two black children being adopted by a white father was a groundbreaking concept. While it might not seem like a big deal now, back then it was an almost cutting-edge concept. And that meant anyone associated with the show was subject to a critical backlash.

“We got hate mail from both sides,” said Bridges. “We got hate mail from whites. We got hate mail from blacks. They were like, ‘I can’t believe you’re hugging a white man.’ You know. And then white people are like, ‘You shouldn’t be hugging a black kid.’”

Even though it sparked scrutiny early on, the attacks didn’t last. Bridges explained, “And then all of the sudden, after like, I’d say a couple of months, everyone fell in love with the show. They realized that it’s about love. It’s not about anything else, you know? It’s about caring for people and about acceptance.”

This isn’t the first time Bridges has discussed race publicly. Last year, while appearing on the ‘Allison Interviews’ podcast, he said, “When I first moved to the San Fernando Valley, you know, the police, I used to be riding my bike with my white friends, and they’d pull me over and take my bike and handcuff me, and told me I stole my bike. And if any kid there could afford his bike, it was me.”

Bridges continued, “I think going through all that, I had a chip on my shoulder. I became angry with myself with everything around me, because I couldn’t understand how you could become so successful in this country and still be treated like you’re dirt, you know.” 

Bridges came from a prominent Hollywood family. His father, James Bridges Sr., was a successful talent agent, and his mother, Betty A. Bridges, was a manager and an actress who appeared in What’s Happening!!, Mary Hartman, Wonder Woman, and more. 

Bridges also gave fans a rare glimpse into his background acting in Hollywood, telling podcast host Allison Kugel, “Where I was fortunate about in the business was sometimes I’d go audition for a role that was strictly made for a white guy, but they would give it to me anyway because they knew I could handle it and I was good at it.”

The Diff’rent Strokes actor added, “But you still experience racism in the workplace also, because it’s, you know, me and Gary Coleman were the only black people on a show that time and we had no black crew members. You know. And then I started speaking up, and they finally got black crew members; we got a black director, you know, finally, so all this happened, where it was making us feel a lot better because we had people around us.”

In August 1968, summer was winding down, but Patty Pravo’s smash single, “La Bambola,” was just getting started. The song, an up-tempo Italian pop-rock classic, was released in May, quickly topped the Italian charts, then stayed there for nine weeks.

An absolute juggernaut, “La Bambola” turned its singer, a 19-year-old club performer, into a bona fide superstar overnight. The track had sold a whopping 200,000 copies in its first month and surpassed the 1 million mark by December. And it didn’t take long for it to become a smash in other countries like Argentina and Spain, where Pravo’s Spanish-language version was a major hit.

Written by a trio of legendary Italian songwriters and composers—Franco Migliacci, Bruno Zambrini, and Ruggero Cini—the song tells the story of a woman demanding respect from a partner who treats her like an object he can manipulate and discard. Considered one of Italy’s fiercest anthems, the song combines a catchy, rhythmic arrangement with Pravo’s smoky vocals, giving it a sound that feels playful even as its lyrics deliver a pointed message.

The song is so good and has achieved such monumental success that it’s hard to believe it was notoriously rejected at the outset by a multitude of singers, including Pravo herself.

According to The Interview, “La Bambola” was passed around a lineup of Italy’s top 1960s pop artists, including Gianni Morandi, Caterina Caselli, Little Tony, Gigliola Cinquetti, and the Rokes, before it made its way to Pravo, who, ironically, also wasn’t interested.

“Nobody wanted it—not even Patty Pravo,” The Interview explained. “In the studio, she was told: ‘Come on, just try singing it once so you can get it out of the way.’ But it turned out to be a hit on the very first take.”

Though it reads like a clear feminist stance today, Pravo initially felt the track’s musical style was too old-fashioned and too firmly centered on a man’s whims. After her producers persuaded her, she recorded it, and her sultry, deep alto register lent the song the provocative quality that became her signature.

“It was 1968; women were fighting for their rights, and the lyrics could have been deemed inappropriate if misinterpreted,” the outlet added. “But Franco had written a feminist song—one that required careful listening—and it was going to work.”

It worked indeed. The song not only became an international hit, but it also laid the foundation for Pravo’s career, which stretched across decades, yielded millions in record sales, and produced multiple major hits, including “Pazza Ide.”

Although “La Bambola” became an enormous hit in Italy and elsewhere, it didn’t connect with listeners in the U.S. At least, not in 1968. And not until Madonna got hold of it.

In January 2026, Madonna released her own version of the song for Dolce & Gabbana’s The One campaign. A sultry and modern take on Pravo’s original, it marked the Queen of Pop’s first time singing an entire song in Italian. And fans loved it.

The cover became an instant hit, debuting at No. 2 on Billboard‘s World Digital Song Sales chart. So, even though Pravo herself never penetrated the U.S. market with the track, her signature song eventually forced Billboard to take notice nearly 60 years later.

The Pogues are returning for one last adventure. After tragically losing one of their own in Season 4, not to mention the treasure they were after, John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope and Cleo are back for a final epic season of Netflix’s Outer Banks, premiering August 20. But before the crew sets out to avenge JJ’s death and take back what’s theirs, here’s a reminder of what you should know before tuning in to Season 5 of Outer Banks.

Everyone is after the Blue Crown

Chandler Groff, the Pogues and the Lupine Corsairs are all after the Blue Crown, an artifact that grants wishes. “It is the most sought out artifact in the ancient world,” John B informs his friends in Season 4.

The crown, hunted by Blackbeard, is said to “possess the blessing of the gods themselves, granting the wearer immense favor and rare invincibility.” Although JJ was the one to retrieve it in Morocco, Season 4 ended with the crown in Groff’s possession.

JJ was murdered

JJ, played by Rudy Pankow, died at the end of Season 4. The Pogue was killed by his biological father Chandler Groff in Morocco.

“You could’ve stuck with me, JJ. Think what you could’ve had. But now you’re going to get nothing. Nothing,” Groff tells his son, who responds: “No, I already have everything. I have everything I’ve ever wanted. Things that you’ll never have.”

To save Kiara’s life, JJ gave his father the Blue Crown. Despite getting the crown, Groff stabs his son in the stomach, telling JJ that he should have given him the rope to climb out of the well earlier in the episode. Before he dies, JJ tells Kiara that he already got his wish.

In the final seconds of Season 4, John B remarks that they all know what JJ would do. “He’d get even,” John B says. Kiara then adds: “Revenge.”

Pankow previously told Netflix that JJ’s “death really does set up the future of OBX with the question, what is worth it? And when someone that close to you is gone, how do you navigate that?”

Sarah is pregnant!

Sarah and John B are expecting a Poguelet! After taking a pregnancy test in Season 4, Episode 7, Sarah learns that she’s pregnant. “We’re gonna figure this out because we always do,” John B tells her after she shares the pregnancy news with him. On their way to Africa to get Groff, John B asks JJ to be the baby’s godfather. Although he didn’t react well to the baby news, JJ saved Sarah’s life and suggests “JJ” as a “good name for a baby,” explaining that it “goes both ways” for a boy or girl.

Chandler Groff is the w-o-r-s-t

Chandler Groff is JJ’s biological father and his murderer. He betrayed the Corsairs who got him out of jail in Tangier, and killed Omar after stealing the captain’s log from them. After paying Luke to take in his son JJ as a baby, Groff killed his own wife Larissa Genrette. In Season 4, Episode 6, Groff tells Hollis, whom he later kills, that he is the last living heir to Goat Island, which is home to his late father-in-law Wes Genrette’s Blackstone Manor. In addition to being a killer, Groff is a con man who stole $400,000 from Rafe. In Morocco, Rafe pushed Groff down a well after he tried to stab him. Rafe had earlier saved him from being killed by Lightner after Groff double-crossed the Corsairs again. Although JJ didn’t rescue his father from the well, Groff managed to get out and later killed his son.

Pope also killed someone

Pope avenged Terrance’s death in the finale, shooting Lightner, one of the Corsairs, because Cleo was injured. Earlier in the season, Jonathan Daviss’ character was arrested for assaulting an officer in an effort to prevent JJ from potentially getting shot.

Rafe is now working with the Pogues

Rafe ended things with Sofia after learning from Groff that she was paid to encourage him to move forward with a deal with Hollis, which ended up costing him $400,000. Before leaving to track Groff down with his money, Rafe got down on one knee and asked Sofia to move in with him. He convinces Shoupe to let the Pogues go with him to North Africa on his boat to find Groff.

In Morocco, Rafe agreed to work with the Pogues, giving them the scroll he took from Groff to find the Blue Crown. Heading into Season 5, it’s also worth remembering that Rafe killed Sheriff Susan Peterkin at the end of Season 1.

Rose has the merchant gold

After Sarah and Rafe’s dad died, the siblings did not get a quarter of what he had. Rafe says in Episode 6 that their stepmother Rose has that “money locked down tight,” complaining that Rose “gets to keep all that gold for herself.”

Hayden Panettiere’s neighbors were once warned to call the police immediately if they spotted Brian Hickerson on the property, TMZ reports.

The outlet adds that “a warning poster with his photo went up after a string of complaints about his alleged behavior.” Specifically, Mia Terrazas, one of Panettiere’s neighbors who lived one door down from the actress’s West Hollywood condo, told the outlet that the HOA shared the warning at the end of August 2025. Residents were told not to let Brian inside the building, and they were instructed to call the cops if he was spotted.

The posters were put up after “years of disturbances involving Brian,” Terrazas said, adding that “Hayden bought the condo after moving from New York … and says Brian had been living there for the past two years.” However, the poster was taken down by the HOA roughly a week after it was put up, adding that she was told Brian was “no longer considered a threat.”

Terrazas further told the outlet that she was always scared of Brian and “believed he was dangerous the whole time he was living with Hayden.” She says he was still living there after the court issued a no-contact order, which came following his 2020 arrest, in which cops say he punched the actress in the face. He ultimately pleaded no contest to felony domestic violence and was sentenced to 45 days in county jail. Terrazas added that she called 911 at least half a dozen times due to disturbances at Hayden’s apartment.

Panettiere was found dead in a residence in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sunday, Aug. 16, and Hickerson was in the Airbnb at the time, but was sleeping in another room. It was his brother Zach who found the actress unresponsive in an armchair in cardiac arrest. First responders attempted to resuscitate her, but she was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

The police, the coroner’s office, and now the DEA are assisting in the investigation into her death.

Days of Our Lives star Nikki Crawford’s time on the hit Peacock soap opera is quickly coming to an end. As Lexie’s story comes to a close, Crawford has taken to social media to share a message with fans.

Crawford, who assumed the role of Lexie Carver earlier this summer, took to Instagram to share a message with her fans. “As my time with Lexie begins to come to an end, I just want to say thank you,” she began.

The actress shared how thankful she was for viewers allowing her to “come into your living rooms and become a small part of your lives.”

Due to Days of Our Lives’ production schedule, Crawford filmed her entire stint as Lexie before ever airing a single episode. Thus, she got to experience the story in real time with viewers.

She explained that accepting the role that “has meant so much to so many people” was not something she ever took lightly. “My hope was always to honor Lexie’s history while bringing my own heart and truth to her,” Crawford wrote.

She ended her post thanking those who have “welcomed me, rooted for her, laughed with her, cried with her, and taken this journey with me.” The actress explained that she was grateful for “every moment of it.”

Crawford also teased that while the end may be near, “There’s still a little more of Lexie’s story to tell…”

In the storyline, Lexie was revealed to have been kept alive following her apparent ‘death’ in 2012. With the development of a new drug, her brother E.J. (Dan Feuerriegel) was able to cure her brain tumor and bring her back to life. Lexie quickly reconnected with her family and friends in Salem. As the story continued, it was revealed that the drug was failing and that Lexie was once again dying, this time for good. Lexie attempted to leave Salem to save her family and friends from watching her suffer again; however, she stayed in Salem and was found by her son Theo and husband Abe Carver (James Reynolds), now hospitalized. It appears Lexie’s end is coming quickly.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are moving back to the United Kingdom.

The Telegraph reported that the couple, who moved out of the country and to the United States in early 2020, are returning to the U.K. sometime this month. The couple and their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, will relocate to a home outside of London, the outlet reported.

The family will live in a private, non-royal residence. Their children are reportedly already enrolled in school.

The Telegraph reported, “There are no current plans for either the Duke or Duchess of Sussex to reprise their official working roles within the royal family. However, the move raises the prospect that they could do so in the future.”

The story continued, “King [Charles] was informed of the move on Sunday. It was not discussed when the Sussexes visited him at Highgrove in July, it is understood. He was said to be naturally pleased for the opportunity to see more of his family on a regular basis, both in a private and personal capacity.”

“However, the King is clear that the duke and duchess’s status as non-working royals and private individuals, in keeping with their previously expressed wishes, will remain unchanged,” The Telegraph concluded.

Additionally, it was reported that Harry’s brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, have also been notified of the couple’s plans. However, there has not yet been a statement from the couple regarding the news.

William and Harry have reportedly been estranged since Harry left, a fact the Duke of Sussex discussed in his tell-all book, Spare. Although it is unclear if there has been any private communication between the family members, publicly, they have maintained a distance from one another.

The couple may have finally carved out a path to maintain family ties without taking on official duties. Though they first proposed a similar hybrid role during their January 2020 departure, the late Queen Elizabeth reportedly turned down the arrangement.

In a 2020 statement, Buckingham Palace said, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are grateful to Her Majesty and the royal family for their ongoing support as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. As agreed in this new arrangement, they understand that they are required to step back from royal duties, including official military appointments. They will no longer receive public funds for royal duties.”

It continued, “With the queen’s blessing, the Sussexes will continue to maintain their private patronages and associations. While they can no longer formally represent the queen, the Sussexes have made clear that everything they do will continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty. The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the royal family.”

PEOPLE Magazine reports that being based in the U.K. will help Harry be hands-on with the charities he works with, including the Invictus Games, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, and WellChild. Meghan will reportedly continue to work on her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

If you were listening to alternative rock in the 2010s, there’s a good chance Slothrust made their way onto your playlist.

Now, almost two decades after their debut, the Los Angeles-based band is entering a new chapter. Slothrust, originally formed in Boston in 2010, announced in late July that their sixth album, What They Grow In The Garden, will be out on Sept. 18 under Equal Vision Records. Two tracks from the album were released Tuesday, one month ahead of the record’s official release.

“We really want people to take away a message from this album of self-liberation amidst the flickers of seemingly inescapable dread,” members Leah Wellbaum and Will Gorin of Slothrust said in a press release. “Despite the permeating blue light of the external world, it is still possible to find your freedom and identify your core truths if you go within.”

The rock duo released two brand-new singles on Tuesday — “Dystopian Cemetery” and “Twisted Paradise” — which examine the themes of queer love, dreams and sleep paralysis. The new songs are two tracks out of the 12 expected on the album. Three additional tracks have already been released: “Burn the Deck,” “Ring the Bell” and “00101001.”

“Do not forget the delights that are possible within your own mind,” Wellbaum says of “Dystopian Cemetery,” which is a collaboration with producer and keyboardist Willy Beaman. “Tap back into the freedom mindset you felt as a child and follow what charms you. Pull on the threads of curiosity and let them lead you to the magic of your consciousness.”

Meanwhile, “Twisted Paradise” is inspired by “beauty and the horror of the subconscious mind when it is let off its leash at night when we go to sleep.”

“I have always been incredibly impacted by my dreams,” Wellbaum continued. “I have experienced profound healing from my dreams, as well as incredibly disturbing mental states that linger for days.”

The new music also marks another evolution for the band, which has continued to experiment with its sound since first emerging in the 2010s. Along with the new album, Slothrust will hit the road this fall for their Dystopian Theatre Tour with opening acts The Velveteers and Um, Jennifer?, starting on Sept. 15 at the Reverb Lounge in Omaha. The duo is expected to perform at various cities, including Nashville, Chicago, St. Paul, Atlanta, San Francisco, Seattle, Boise, Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego and more.

Wellbaum and Gorin first met while they were students at Sarah Lawrence College. After joining many music student groups, they decided to split off and create their own alternative-rock duo. They released their debut album, Feel Your Pain, in 2012, with the lead single, “7:30 AM,” being featured as the opening theme for FX’s You’re the Worst. Slothrust has released five studio albums since their formation, with their most recent being Parallel Timeline in 2021.

What They Grow In The Garden will be out on all streaming platforms on Sept. 18, and tickets for Slothrust’s upcoming tour can be found on the band’s official website. “Dystopian Cemetery” and “Twisted Paradise” are out now.

If you’re one of the many who’ve been anticipating a Yellowstone spin-off around the 6666 Ranch, or Four Sixes, where Jimmy Hurdstrom (Jefferson White) was sent in Season 4, don’t hold your breath. In a recent interview, Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan made it clear that he won’t make a series based on the famed Texas ranch.

“There’s never going to be one,” Sheridan told Dale Brisby on the Rodeo Time Podcast. “I would never fictionalize that ranch.”

“If I was going to try and make some kind of show about the Four Sixes, now I’m making up lives,” he continued. “Now I have to invent drama, right? We can’t just watch some kid learn how to rope every single episode, right? So now I’m trivializing and fictionalizing something where real people work and they raise their families there. And I could never do that to them.”

The 6666 spin-off was first announced in Feb. 2021 (via Deadline). The series was announced as an upcoming project, along with Mayor of Kingstown, 1883 and Land Man. “Still operating as it did two centuries before, and encompassing an entire county, the 6666 is where the rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing one does is the next thing,” the show’s synopsis read.

What This Means for Jimmy’s Future in the Yellowstone Universe

In Dec. 2025, White told the Daily Mail that he didn’t know if Jimmy would appear in any of the Yellowstone spin-offs, but that he had his “fingers crossed.” Despite insisting he has no plans to make 6666, Sheridan appears to be very fond of Jimmy’s arc, so perhaps there’s still a chance he’ll appear on Marshals or Dutton Ranch.

“I’ve actually got on my computer all the scenes of Jimmy at the Four Sixes, pulled out and strung together,” Sheridan said. “And it makes its own perfect little movie, where you watch him go there as this misfit and leave a man and a respected cowboy.”

In 2026, Dolly Parton celebrated her 80th birthday, but the “Queen of Country” apparently isn’t done adding to her already staggering list of accomplishments.

Parton has earned 82 new global sales certifications across 14 countries, according to an announcement on Aug. 19. The new honors span both singles and albums and include certifications in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden and South Africa, among other countries.

The news comes as the RIAA honors Parton’s legendary career and as the singer-songwriter is being recognized with the ACM Poet’s Award at the 2026 ACM Honors.

Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’ and ‘9 to 5’ Earn Diamond Certifications

Two of Parton’s most famous songs have reached particularly impressive new milestones.

“Jolene” has now been certified Diamond in both Canada and the Netherlands, while “9 to 5,” which is Dolly’s only No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, has earned Diamond status in Canada.

And those aren’t the songs’ only new honors. “Jolene” has also been certified 7x Platinum in Australia, 4x Platinum in New Zealand, 3x Platinum in both the United Kingdom and Norway and 2x Platinum in Denmark, among a slew of other certifications.

“9 to 5,” meanwhile, is now 7x Platinum in Australia, 4x Platinum in New Zealand and 3x Platinum in the United Kingdom and Norway.

Other songs adding new hardware include “I Will Always Love You,” which has been certified 3x Platinum in Canada and Platinum in Australia, and Parton’s Kenny Rogers duet “Islands in the Stream,” which is now 6x Platinum in New Zealand and 3x Platinum in the United Kingdom.

The latest batch follows 47 global sales certifications Parton received in 2021, with the new honors reflecting five more years of listeners discovering and returning to her catalog.

Dolly Parton’s Albums Also Earn New Certifications Around the World

The new certifications aren’t limited to Parton’s biggest singles.

Her albums earned dozens of new honors as well, ranging from her early work to releases from the past few years. The 1974 album Jolene has been certified Gold in Canada, the Netherlands and New Zealand, while 9 to 5 and Odd Jobs earned Gold certifications in the Netherlands and New Zealand.

Several greatest-hits collections also reached new milestones, including The Very Best of Dolly Parton, which is now 2x Platinum in Sweden and Platinum in both Australia and the Netherlands.

Even Parton’s 2023 rock album Rockstar earned a new Gold certification in the Netherlands. The album became the highest-charting solo studio album of Parton’s career when it reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

The flood of new certifications adds another chapter to a career that has stretched nearly six decades. Parton released her debut album Hello, I’m Doll, in 1967 and went on to write some of country’s most recognizable songs, including “Jolene,” “Coat of Many Colors,” “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You.”

At 80, those songs aren’t merely surviving. They’re still racking up new milestones around the world.

It’s been more than 40 years since Tears for Fears released the biggest hit of their career, and the legendary pop-rock song is still performing on the Billboard music charts.

The duo’s mega-hit “Everybody Wants To Rule the World” was released as a single in March 1985, and it peaked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in June of that year, reigning at the chart’s summit for two straight weeks.

But even more than four decades later, the song is still showing up on the leaderboards.

According to Billboard’s newest chart standings dated the week of Aug. 22, “Everybody Wants To Rule the World” is once again rising on the Global 200, marking its 201st non-consecutive week on the chart. This week, the song placed in the No. 110 spot, a significant increase from last week’s position at No. 124.

“Everybody Wants to Rule the World” has gone down in history as one of the defining tracks of the decade, earning a spot on Billboard’s Top Songs of the ’80s list at No. 67. The song also proves to be an enduring favorite among listeners, and has amassed more than 2.6 billion streams on Spotify.

“Everybody Wants To Rule the World” was featured as the third single from Tears for Fears’ second studio album, Songs From the Big Chair, which dropped in February 1985. The same album hosted another one of the duo’s signature hits, “Shout,” released in late 1984.

“Shout” became their only other song to top the Billboard Hot 100, spending three weeks at No. 1 in August 1985. The duo’s other chart hits include 1989’s “Sowing the Seeds of Love,” which peaked at No. 2, and “Head over Heels,” which reached No. 3 in November 1985.

Some rock songs have simple lyrics set to a deep beat, while others tell an elaborate story with the words and music, like Neil Young‘s 1979 track “Powderfinger.”

The song was originally released on Young’s 10th album, Rust Never Sleeps, which he recorded with the backing band Crazy Horse. It wasn’t an official single for the record, but it still gained popularity and recognition after fans first heard it. Since then, the song has earned a lot of praise, particularly for the lyrics.

“Powderfinger” tells the story of a young man facing off against an approaching gunboat threatening his family. Despite his father telling him to run if he ever saw one coming, he still tried to use a gun against them and died because of it.

Forbes spotlighted this Young song as his standout lyrical creation in its list of the “Greatest Rock Song Lyrics of All Time,” specifically for the seemingly autobiographical line in the song that reads, “Think of me as one you’d never figured.” The verse continues with the lines, “Would fade away so young/ With so much left undone.”

The publication wrote of the songwriter, “Has any writer ever crafted a more perfectly autobiographical line than one of rock’s greatest rebels? Young has followed his own rules his entire career and he tells us in this perfect line, intentionally or not, this is who he is.”

“Powderfinger” also artfully paints the picture of unnecessary violence through the narrator’s ultimately useless sacrifice.

A Rolling Stone review of the album from 1979 compared the story of the song to the helicopter attack in Apocalypse Now, saying that, like in the well-known movie scene, “the violence in ‘Powderfinger’ is both appalling and appealing — to us and to its narrator — until it’s too late.”

Along with the lyrics, Young’s song also features memorable guitar solos woven in between the verses. Overall, it’s become one of his standout tracks, and it has been covered by other well-known bands many times. The Australian band Powderfinger even took on the title as its official name.

Post Malone is engaged!

Born Austin Richard Post, the country singer and rapper known as Post Malone is engaged to Christy Lee, according to TMZ.

The couple broke up last summer after dating for several months. Now, they’ve rekindled their romance and are ready to say “I do.” It is currently unclear what brought them back together.

Post Malone and Lee were seen sharing a kiss in a video posted to Instagram, in which Lee appears to be wearing a diamond engagement ring on her left hand.

It seems the “Sunflower” singer proposed on Tuesday, August 18, in Utah, with the duo inviting friends to celebrate the news.

The couple became romantically linked in early 2025, after Lee, a stylist who’s worked with A-listers like Bella Thorne and Brooks Nader, was seen having dinner with the musician in Rome. It is not known how they were introduced.

The pair reportedly began seeing each other soon after Post Malone and his previous fiancée ended things in 2024.

The 31-year-old shares his only child, born in May 2022, with his ex-fiancée, Hee Sung “Jamie” Park. Even though he is public-facing, he keeps his family private. The star hasn’t shared her name or many photos, but has revealed that her initials are tattooed on his forehead.

The “Rockstar” singer spoke to CR Fashion Book about keeping personal matters to himself as a public figure in 2023.

“I feel like a lot of people feel entitled to know every single detail of everyone’s life and it’s why I don’t want to post any pictures of my baby, because I want her to be able to make that decision whenever she wants to and is ready,” he said.

Before The Outsiders became one of Cleveland’s best-known rock exports, they had a song that refused to stay local.

Released in 1966, “Time Won’t Let Me” introduced audiences across America to the band’s energetic blend of garage rock, blue-eyed soul, and pop. Fronted by 18 year-old Cleveland native Sonny Geraci, the single became an unexpected breakthrough and remains the recording most closely associated with the group.

The song captured the urgency of young love.

Written by guitarist Tom King and Chet Kelley, “Time Won’t Let Me” paired a driving beat with a horn-filled arrangement that helped distinguish The Outsiders from many of their contemporaries. Geraci’s impassioned vocal gave the song an emotional edge, turning a straightforward tale of romance into one of the era’s most memorable performances.

“We were rather sure that this was it,” bassist Mert Madsen told Goldmine. “This song had ‘hit potential’ written all over it and we were right. ‘Time Won’t Let Me’ became our biggest hit.”

It wasn’t just the band who thought so.

“We got hold of the East Coast Manager for Capitol Records, Roger Karhsner, and played the master record for him over the phone,” Madsen later recalled. “He said right away, ‘Hold on, I do believe you guys got a hit on your hands, but I am coming to Cleveland in a few days, and then we will defiantly talk some more.’ The rest is history – all the guys on the record made up their own parts music ways, and I arranged the background singers. The horns were added on afterwards.”

Its success arrived quickly.

Released on Capitol Records, “Time Won’t Let Me” climbed to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving The Outsiders their biggest national hit. The record also reached the Top 10 in Canada and helped establish the Cleveland band as one of the standout American acts during the height of the British Invasion.

“The first tour we did was with Paul Revere and the Raiders,” Geraci told Classic Bands. “Then we toured shortly after that with Chad and Jeremy. We did a Gene Pitney tour. It was a six week tour of one-nighters. We were all very close. It was the best tour. […] We signed up to do this tour because our sound was pretty much number one all over. We had a great time doing that. I learned a lot in that.

Although the group never matched the song’s commercial success, its influence endured.

The Outsiders continued recording throughout the 1960s and scored additional charting singles, but “Time Won’t Let Me” remained the band’s signature recording. Over the decades, the song has become a staple of oldies and classic rock radio, earning admiration for its infectious energy and timeless melody.

Geraci also went on to enjoy continued success beyond The Outsiders.

In the early 1970s, he became the lead singer of Climax, taking the ballad “Precious and Few” into the Top 10. Even so, many fans still associate his unmistakable voice with the youthful exuberance of “Time Won’t Let Me,” one of the defining garage-rock hits of the 1960s.

Sixty years after it first climbed the charts, “Time Won’t Let Me” continues to capture the spirit of mid-’60s rock. Featuring an 18 year-old singer from Cleveland, the 1966 classic remains a powerful reminder of The Outsiders’ enduring place in American rock history.
