Who Won ‘Jeopardy’ Today? (May 11, 2026) Plus, the Final Jeopardy Answer
There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.
Here's a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.
Tristan Williams won his fourth consecutive Jeopardy! game, extending his streak and adding to his growing winnings for a four-day total of $76,199.
Who are the Jeopardy contestants today?Jessica DoverspikeJessica Doverspike is a marriage and family therapist from Brea, California.
Tristan Williams is a data scientist originally from Lincoln, Nebraska.
Steve GreeneSteve Greene is a college professor from Cary, North Carolina.

The clue: "In 1454 the future Pope Pius II saw the work of this man at the Frankfurt Fair & marveled at the 'extreme elegance & accuracy'"
The answer: Who is Gutenberg?
While all three contestants missed Final Jeopardy, Williams had a runaway heading into the last segment, with $19,100 more than triple third-place Doverspike’s $400, giving him more than enough cushion to cruise to a W.
Doverspike wagered everything, offered no response and ended the game with $0. Greene wagered $3,000 of his $5,4000 and guessed wrong, ending with $2,400. Williams wagered $4,100 of his final total, guessing wrong, but keeping the lead with $15,000 in comfortable winnings.
Williams will return on Tuesday for his fifth attempt at a victory.

Jimmy Kimmel Makes Surprise Move for Stephen Colbert Ahead of His Final 'Late Show'
Jimmy Kimmel will not air a new episode during the finale of Stephen Colbert's The Late Show.
Kimmel confirmed to Late Nighter on Monday, May 11 that Jimmy Kimmel Live! will not produce a new episode on Thursday, May 21 "out of deference to Colbert’s sendoff."
The show will instead air a re-run during the 11:30 p.m. time slot, meaning Colbert's only competition will be The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC.
Colbert has hosted The Late Show for 11 years after taking it over from David Letterman in 2015. Kimmel made the same gesture back then, saying he had too much respect for Letterman, one of his childhood heroes, to do anything that might pull viewers away from his goodbye.

While The Late Show With Stephen Colbert has consistently pulled in high-ratings, CBS announced in July 2025 that it would be ending after the 2025-26 TV season.
In a statement, CBS executives George Cheeks, Amy Reisenbach and David Stafp said at the time, “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert will end its historic run in May 2026 at the end of the broadcast season. We consider Stephen Colbert irreplaceable and will retire The Late Show franchise at that time. We are proud that Stephen called CBS home. He and the broadcast will be remembered in the pantheon of greats that graced late night television.”
“This is purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night. It is not related in any way to the show’s performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount,” the statement added, addressing speculation that the show was pulled due to Colbert's frequent criticism of President Donald Trump.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs on CBS and streams on Paramount+ weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET.
How One Woman Found Relief From Bladder and Bowel Incontinence After 12 Years
Karen Carlson has long played an active role in her Maryland community. In the mornings, her neighbors would see her out on her daily run. On the weekends, she would mow her elderly neighbors’ lawns. For work, Carlson was a school nurse for students with developmental disabilities. So much of what gave Carlson joy was helping others.
But all that changed when she started experiencing debilitating bladder spasms and urinary incontinence, and later daily fecal incontinence. “My bladder spasms and bladder incontinence progressed, and I regularly reported my symptoms and side effects to my doctors.” After trying maintenance products like pads and diapers, and following a long journey with medication, Carlson was repeatedly told there were no other options. She says she felt as though her symptoms and complaints about medication side effects were minimized in part because she believes her doctors didn’t know what else to offer her.
For years, her incontinence ruled her life. She became essentially housebound, unable to be involved in her community or participate in hobbies that used to give her joy. But when her new urologist told her about AxonicsTM Sacral Neuromodulation (SNM) Therapy, an implantable device used to treat overactive bladder (OAB) and fecal incontinence, everything changed. She decided to give the Axonics device a try, and her symptoms improved immediately after having it implanted.
In the U.S., nearly 30 million adults ages 40 and older have bothersome symptoms of OAB, but it isn’t something anyone should have to live with.1 Want to know more? Here, Carlson shares her health journey firsthand, including the role Axonics Therapy has played.
‘Ninety-Five Percent of My Thoughts Were Consumed With Managing My Incontinence’Like roughly 10% of the U.S. population, Carlson was no stranger to kidney stones.2 In fact, she was 44 when she developed a very serious infection related to several large kidney stones. As part of her treatment, a ureteral stent was implanted for two weeks. The stent caused her to experience severe bladder spasms with incontinence and, unfortunately, the problems didn’t go away after her stent was removed. What Carlson didn’t know at the time was that this was the beginning of a years-long battle with incontinence that would get increasingly worse over time, a common occurrence if left untreated.
In the 12 years that followed, Carlson’s doctors prescribed her numerous medications, all of which caused significant side effects, including vertigo, high blood pressure, weight gain, dry mouth, migraines and dental issues.
“By 2019, I was occasionally having fecal incontinence. By 2020, I had developed daily fecal incontinence,” Carlson says, adding that she had to get up multiple times during the night to empty her bladder and bowels.
As Carlson’s condition worsened, she was forced to make drastic changes to her daily routines. “I was experiencing urinary incontinence more than 20 times a day, plus daily fecal incontinence. I had become essentially housebound, with the exception of going to work, which involved significant planning, including emptying my bowels and bladder, not eating or drinking all day and having immediate bathroom access at all times,” Carlson says. “Ninety-five percent of my thoughts were consumed with ‘managing’ my incontinence.”
‘Now, I Don’t Think About My Incontinence Because I Don’t Have To’Carlson battled her symptoms for 12 long years until, in 2023, a new urologist she started seeing, Dr. Melissa Mendez, told her about Axonics Therapy. Designed to be user-friendly, sacral neuromodulation (SNM) is a safe, clinically proven therapy that uses nerve stimulation that may help restore healthy communication between the brain, bladder and bowel. Axonics SNM therapy delivers this stimulation through a miniature implant—roughly the size of a quarter—to the sacral nerve.
After reading more about Axonics SNM therapy, Carlson cried, both out of hope for a possible solution and frustration that it took more than a decade to find a long-lasting treatment option. Five months after learning about Axonics, Carlson underwent a short surgery to get the device implanted.
Immediately after the procedure, Carlson says her symptoms went away.
Since receiving the device three years ago, Carlson says she has been able to return to her normal life. She eats well, sleeps well and is back to being active, which helped her lose the 95 pounds she gained since developing incontinence. She also changed jobs for the first time in 19 years and feels as though she has her life back.
Karen Carlson
“I can sit, sleep, wear a belt and roll on a foam roller and not feel it in my back.” The only required upkeep Carlson noted is that she places a charger over the device “every 10 months for about 10 minutes to keep it fully charged. That’s it.” The rechargeable Axonics device Carlson received is designed to last at least 20 years.
Now, at 58, she says she hardly ever thinks about it. “I don’t think about it, because I don’t have to,” she says. “It seems basic to just live a life, but it’s not basic. It’s huge.”

Lorenzo Lamas’ Daughter Praises Heather Locklear in Touching Mother’s Day Post About ‘Lasting Love'
On April 10 of this year, PEOPLE confirmed that Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas had been dating for several months. The pair, who are now in their sixties, first met when posing together for the cover of Playgirl when they were in their twenties.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, one of Lorenzo's daughters posted a photo from that 1983 photo shoot with the words, “These two are so flipping cute I can’t take it.” In the caption, Shayne went on to praise Locklear and her loving relationship with her father.

The Internet Is Divided Over Olivia Rodrigo's Dramatic Style Change
Singer and actress Olivia Rodrigohas been making headlines for some brand-new music, including her new single "Drop Dead," which was released on April 17, and the upcoming release of her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, which is set to release on June 12.
However, the singer-songwriter has been making headlines (and receiving many comments) for an entirely different reason as well—her recent style change, which has comprised babydoll mini dresses and similar shorter dresses.
While many Rodrigo fans have been quick to defend her in the comments, there has been a wave of backlash from those who feel that Rodrigo is dressing 'childlike' on purpose. In fact, on her album announcement post for You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, several scathing comments about this topic appear.
One commenter wrote, "Awww her target demographic went from teen girls to pdf files😍," and another said, "Why are you dressed like a CHILD?? Ew."
One particularly long-winded comment under the same post reads, "You are reinforcing fantasies that at this moment in time, really shouldn’t be" and "...just come out and SAY that your intention is to dress for those male fantasies," among other things.

Another Instagram post on Rodrigo's account, also related to her upcoming album, is filled with similar comments, with one reading, "look i feel like im going crazy but is anyone else genuinely sick of adult women dressed as babies like its not just olivia i mean WHO is the target audience for this," and another saying, "This is creepy. Please stop dressing like a baby, you’re grown."
Thus far, Rodrigo hasn't addressed the controversy directly, although the backlash has led to a wave of debates online regarding whether her new style is an issue or whether such heavy criticism of a woman's appearance is really the problem.
Vintage Jewelry Is Having a Moment— Here’s How To Get the Best Deal for Yours

View this post on Instagram What's Old Is NewGlobal tariff increases, coupled with rising gold prices, have made the manufacture of new jewelry more expensive than ever. That may be why people are turning to vintage pieces that are not only beautiful and sustainable, but also come with a load of history.
The appeal of vintage jewelry isn’t just limited to cost. In our current world, where everything is mass-produced, vintage pieces offer a unique individuality you can’t find in new ones. Additionally, craftsmanship has declined in the past 50 years, making these pieces even more valuable given the care and consideration that went into their creation. Plus, the hunt for these accessories can be a lot of fun.

Selling Your StashSo if you’re sitting on a pile of old family heirlooms that just don’t fit your style and taste, you may want to consider selling them to someone else. Getting the best price means hustling a little, but it could be worth the time and effort. Here’s where we suggest selling those pieces.
- Selling directly on sites like eBay, Etsy, and Ruby Lane
- Specialty consignment stores known for high-end vintage jewelry
- Local jewelers and estate buyers
- Auction houses

Getting the Best PriceWhile selling directly to consumers will net you the most profit, sometimes it’s worth going through a third party, such as a consignment store or auction house. Choosing where to sell your jewelry will depend on whether you value a speedy sale or higher profits. Whichever you choose, here are some tips to maximize your final take.
- Have an appraisal done on all pieces by at least two separate professionals
- Wait for multiple offers and never take the first price offered
- Photograph the piece from all angles so buyers get a sense of what they’re purchasing
- Include all authentication paperwork or get the pieces authenticated
When selling vintage jewelry, it’s important to be upfront and transparent to build trust and rapport with buyers. If you live in a large city like Atlanta or Los Angeles, scouring estate sales, thrift shops, and vintage boutiques could help you go from offloading some family pieces to being a savvy online dealer in this quickly growing industry.

Best-Selling Author’s ‘Emotional Roller Coaster’ Memoir Named First Pick of Molly Ringwald’s New Book Club
Face flushed. Heart racing. Thoughts scattering. Gemma Correll is all of us. Including Molly Ringwald, who last week revealed that she stayed up all night reading Anxietyland. Calling the book an instant obsession, she said she “absolutely loved it,” couldn’t put it down, and named it the very first pick of her brand-new book club.
View this post on InstagramYes, we know. We just dropped a ton of news in that one paragraph. Amazing book. Instant obsession. New celebrity book club. It’s a lot. But stick with us. Correll’s memoir, stylized as a wonderfully illustrated graphic novel — Correll is also an award-winning cartoonist — Anxietyland is not a self-help book. Rather it plays out like a confessional, a story of struggle and perseverance that is as relatable as Ringwald’s coming-of-age film oeuvre.
Correll, now 42, offers a deeply personal account of her lifelong anxiety, panic, agoraphobia, and depression. Using a theme park as a metaphor, she invites readers into the “amusement park of her mind,” taking them for rides on the “Emotional Rollercoaster,” the “Worry-Go-Round,” and the “Downward Spiral.” Though laced with humor and self-deprecation, the book is rooted in a period of crisis.
In 2018, Correll found herself in the grip of a weeks-long panic attack, turning to alcohol in an attempt to cope. Overwhelmed and unable to break the cycle, she checked herself into a mental health hospital in Oakland. And that is where her emotional memoir starts.
“It was just a really, really fun, moving read, to see somebody that goes through what I've gone through at different times in my life,” Ringwald, 58, shared in an Instagram post about the book.
Connecting with Correll’s raw honesty and emotional authenticity, Ringwald then teased the book as the first pick of a new book club, should anyone out there want a book club. Of course, her comments section was then flooded with fans begging for the '80s icon to launch a reading club, so she did.
"It seems that a lot of you are up for a Molly book club, so count this as my first offering!" Ringwald captioned another post, this one featuring the inner artwork of Correll’s graphic memoir.
View this post on InstagramRingwald, an author herself, wrote 2010's Getting the Pretty Back and 2012’s When It Happens to You. She has also narrated an audiobook,Judy Blume: A Life, by Mark Oppenheimer. So her emergence as the latest celebrity to spark a new book club feels less like a surprise and more like a logical next step for the creative. Count us in. But don't put us down for the Downward Spiral. We've already ridden that monster this week.

Hailee Steinfeld Shares First Photos of Her Baby Girl, and She’s ‘Simply Obsessed’
Actress Hailee Steinfeld shared a belated Mother’s Day post, and fans can’t get enough of the precious pics. Even though the first-time mom publicly announced the birth of her daughter (with her husband, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen), she hasn’t given the world a glimpse of the little girl. That is, until right now.
Steinfeld recently posted a carousel of sweet snapshots on Instagram, and these pictures couldn’t be cuter. Like other famous parents, the Pitch Perfect star and her NFL hubby are reluctant to show off their kiddo’s face. And we totally understand. But that doesn’t mean Steinfeld is completely hiding her daughter.
View this post on InstagramThe new mama captioned her post, “A day late but simply obsessed with this.” After browsing the pics, it’s safe to say that we (and Steinfeld’s fans) are “simply obsessed” too. No, her face isn't in the frame. But the first shot still shows off baby Steinfeld-Allen. That is, her teeny tiny fingers. Along with a playful mommy-daughter hand-in-hand image, the actress includes photos of her Mother’s Day cards, a holiday pancake breakfast, a decadent floral cake, and her baby’s feet in an absolutely aww-dorable strawberry onesie.
So, what do fans think of the post? Of course, they love it! But, like just about everything else on social media, it isn't immune to controversy. One commenter innocently asks, “Can we ever know her name? A hint perhaps? Lol. Happy 1st Mother’s Day.” Within minutes, someone responds, “Probably not.” But the comments didn’t stop there. Another Steinfeld fan added, “And that’s okay! It’s not your baby or your place to know her name or what she looks like!”, followed by, “It’s not your place or anyone else’s to be entitled to someone else’s baby.”
Based on this reaction, we can understand why Steinfeld and Allen would want to shield their child from the spotlight. If something as simple as a baby’s name can cause an Internet uproar, maybe it’s better to just keep things private for right now.
While the post did spur some animosity, luckily, the flood of should she/shouldn’t she baby name-sharing comments didn’t take over the thread. Plenty of other fans shared their congratulations and well-wishes with sweet sentiments such as, “I’m so happy for you, Hailee,” and, “Hope the best for you.” Some even expressed a tiny bit of envy over Steinfeld’s Mother’s Day meal, with one writing, “It’s the Wegman’s breakfast for me.” And we agree!
Coca-Cola Launches New One-of-a-Kind Drink With a Twist – But Only at One Chain
Is there anything better than an ice-cold drink on a hot summer day? Yes, if the drink is a slushie and has the ice incorporated throughout. Luckily for fans of sweet treats, Burger King has them covered with its latest beverage launch, a new Hi-C Orange Freezee King that gives you all the goodness of the orange soda with the cooling power of a slushie.
The fast food giant quietly added the drink to its menu recently, giving fans a taste of Hi-C Orange Lavaburst in frozen form, similar to the Coke Freezee King, which was already available at Burger King. You can get both Freezee King flavors in small, medium, or large cups for $1.49, $1.99, and $2.59, respectively.

That drink is regular Hi-C (no slushie here, folks) but it’s mixed with vanilla and topped with cold foam, giving it more of a dirty soda vibe than Burger King’s summer sweet treat. Burger King’s drink is a limited-time offer, while McDonald’s has added the Orange Dream into its permanent rotation, prompting social media users to say it “Looks like we’re having a good ol’ Hi-C Orange Lavaburst party!”

It gave me creamsicle vibes.” But some seemed more excited for the Burger King version, asking, “When is the Burger King one going to release?” and stating that they are “so excited for that one I love slushes.”

2011 Novel That Was Originally ‘Twilight’ Fan-Fiction Was Among Most Banned Books During the 2010s
The American Library Association has kept track of the banned and challenged books of the decades. These are books that have been taken out of libraries, schools, and more, whether due to parents pushing back, concerns from particular groups of people, or government decisions. It’s not surprising that a bestseller that quickly became the focus of quality has come up as one of the most banned and challenged books from 2010 to 2019.
Fifty Shades of Greyby E.L. James was originally self-published in 2011. After quickly gaining traction, it was picked up by Vintage Books and published traditionally in 2012. From there, James wrote two more novels in the series, and despite the ban, the series was turned into movies.
‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Started as ‘Twilight’ Fan FictionIf there are elements of Fifty Shades of Grey that feel like it could have been written with the Twilight characters in mind, there’s a reason for this. It was originally published as Master of the Universe on FanFiction.net under James’ pen name Snowqueens Icedragon, where it was an AU of Bella and Edward.
It was then reworked, removing the Twilight mentions with Bella becoming Anastsia and Edward becoming Christian. Other elements of the original IP were removed to create a story that was original enough to be published.
Why ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ by E.L. James was ChallengedThe American Library Association has marked a couple of main reasons for the novel being banned, and it sits in eighth place for books banned between 2010 and 2019. One of those is that it was sexually explicit, making it inappropriate for the age group reading it. This wasn’t recommended for children or teenagers, though. In fact, it quickly became marketed to women, especially moms, who wanted something “sexier” to read.
On top of this, the bans rolled in simply because the writing was considered bad. Many viewed it as being “poorly written,” and there is a popular video of Star Trek actor George Takei reading an excerpt involving the “Oh my” statements Ana routinely says.
There were also concerns about the content being something children and teenagers would mimic. Many people involved in the BDSM community were angry at the depiction of their way of life, and they worried that people would get into BDSM in the wrong way or for the wrong reasons.

More than 70 years after its original publication, The Fellowship of the Ring is still reaching massive audiences around the world, this time through streaming.
The classic fantasy novel by J.R.R. Tolkien was recently ranked No. 2 on Spotify's list of the most streamed audiobooks of all time, underscoring the enduring popularity of one of the most influential stories ever written.
Originally published in 1954 as the first installment in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring follows the young hobbit Frodo Baggins as he begins a dangerous journey to destroy the One Ring before it falls into the hands of evil forces.
Blending mythology, adventure and richly detailed world-building, the novel helped shape modern fantasy literature and inspired generations of writers, filmmakers and fans.
Part of the audiobook's lasting appeal comes from Tolkien's immersive storytelling combined with a captivating performance by narrator Rob Inglis. Middle-earth feels fully alive, filled with its own languages, histories and cultures, making the story especially well-suited for long-form audio listening.
"Most people have made this mistake of thinking Middle-earth is a particular kind of earth or is another planet of the science fiction sort but it's just an old fashioned word for this world we live in, as imagined surrounded by the Ocean," Tolkien said in a 1971 interview.
The book's popularity surged even further in the early 2000s thanks to the blockbuster film adaptations directed by Peter Jackson.
The 2001 film adaptation, also titled The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, starred actors including Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen and Viggo Mortensen, and became both a critical and commercial phenomenon.
The larger trilogy went on to win numerous Academy Awards and helped introduce Tolkien's work to an entirely new generation of fans worldwide.
Today, The Fellowship of the Ring continues to thrive across formats, from print to film to audiobook, proving the timeless power of Tolkien's storytelling.
"Stories – frankly, human stories are always about one thing – death. The inevitability of death," Tolkien told BBC in 1968. And yet, his own stories have become immortal.
Its ranking among Spotify's most streamed audiobooks of all time is yet another reminder that even decades later, the journey through Middle-earth still resonates deeply with audiences everywhere.

Who Is Max Greenfield’s Wife? Inside His Marriage to Tess Sanchez, Their Kids and Her Hollywood Career
Before Max Greenfield became everyone’s favorite lovable weirdo Schmidt on New Girl, he was a struggling actor with future wife Tess Sanchez in his corner.
The two met at a club in Los Angeles in 2003, when he was out of work and she was just at the start of her career in casting. “We just sort of locked eyes across the room, like, ‘Why are you staring at me?’” Sanchez shared on the podcast Broad Ideas With Rachel Bilson.
Eventually, she approached him. “I was like, ‘Are you an actor?’ I’m so afraid to ask,” she recalled. “And he was like, ‘Yes.’ I was like, ‘Oh God.”
Nonetheless, sparks flew. “From that night on, we hit the ground running and never looked back.”
Keep reading to learn more about Greenfield’s marriage, including whether he and his wife have kids and if she cast him on New Girl.
Is Max Greenfield married?Yes! Greenfield is married to former casting director Tess Sanchez, whom he met in 2003 — long before he was famous — and married in 2008.
Reflecting on the secret to their long-lasting relationship in a joint interview with Parents magazine in 2021, Sanchez said, "Max always puts me first — smartly — which makes for a happy home.”
Greenfield added, "We communicate well too. You're better at voicing things, but I'm a great listener. If we haven't spent enough time together, you'll say, 'I need to see you,' and I'm there!"
How did Max Greenfield meet his wife, Tess Sanchez? The pair met at a club in Los Angeles in 2003.
“My dating history at that point was [men asking], ‘Do you wanna meet out?’” Sanchez recalled on the Broad Ideas podcast. “It was never, ‘I’m gonna pick you up at this time and we’re gonna go to dinner’ — until I met him.”
Alas, his romantic gesture hit a snag when his credit card got declined on their first date. “He’s like, fumbling through [his wallet], like, ‘Try this one,’” she remembered. “And I was like, ‘This is so embarrassing.’” Still, it was certainly clear she wasn’t in it for the money.
“He was very poor for the first part of our relationship,” she said. “I was the breadwinner at that point, just because I had a steady job.”
What is Max Greenfield’s wife, Tess Sanchez, known for?Sanchez is a longtime TV casting executive who helped shape some of the biggest shows of the last two decades. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President of Casting at Fox Entertainment, where she oversaw casting for hit series including 9-1-1, Empire, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Mindy Project. She spent 11 years with the network before being laid off amid cost cuts in 2020.
Prior to joining Fox, Sanchez worked as an independent casting director and also spent eight years at The WB as Vice President of Talent and Casting. During that time, she helped discover talent for shows like Felicity, Dawson's Creek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
After her abrupt exit from Fox, Sanchez wrote about rediscovering her purpose in a 2025 book of essays called We Decided to Go in a Different Direction. Among other things, she shared how the experience affected the dynamic in her marriage.
“I never defined myself as Max’s wife, and for the first time we were going out in the world and were like, ‘Well what do you do?’ And I was like, ‘I’m his plus one,’” she explained on Broad Ideas. “And I hated it.”
“He had always been my plus one,” she continued. “From the beginning, I would walk in ahead of him and be like, ‘I’ll see you in a bit.’”
Ultimately, she shared, “I needed to back up and say, ‘I’m enough. I don’t need this job to define me.’”
In a show of support for his wife, Greenfield wrote the foreword to her book.
“My wife @tesssanchezgreenfield has written a book,” he wrote on Instagram. “Admittedly, I have not read many books so I have very little to compare it to. But in my opinion, this is the best book that’s ever been written … I will be posting about this a lot because I love Tess and this book very much.”
When did Max Greenfield and Tess Sanchez get married? The couple got married in 2008. At the time, Greenfield was still working steadily but hadn’t yet landed New Girl, the show that would make him a household name in 2011.
“I felt like my wife and I had a really special, beautiful wedding,” Greenfield told Vulture.
“My wife and I like to compare the weddings we go to our wedding,” he added. “Usually, we win that game.”
Do Max Greenfield and his wife have kids?Yes. The couple share two children together: daughter Lilly, born January 2010, and son Ozzie, born August 2015.
During the pandemic, Greenfield became almost as well known for making hilarious “remote learning” videos with his daughter as he is for acting. He’s also written four children’s books: I Don’t Want to Read This Book (2021), This Book Is Not a Present (2022), I Don’t Want to Read This Book Aloud (2023) and Goodnight Thoughts (2024).
“It’s such a hard thing to articulate,” he’s said of the experience of parenthood. “It just takes the focus off of you and puts it onto your children, who you love more than you would ever think you were capable of loving."

Why did Max Greenfield and Tess Sanchez split up?They didn’t — at least not while they were married. That said, they took a break early on in their relationship, in part due to Greenfield’s hard-partying ways. He then went into rehab for an addiction to drugs and alcohol, and has been sober since 2006.
“It was such a critical part of the story,” Sanchez told Glamour, explaining why she decided to write about it in her book. “And with our two kids now, we’ve always been very honest with them [about it]. They understand that Max doesn’t drink alcohol and what that process was like. They’re very accepting of it.”
Did Tess Sanchez cast Max Greenfield in New Girl?Sanchez was working in the casting department of Fox, the network that aired New Girl, when Greenfield signed on to play Schmidt. But neither she nor her husband have indicated that she had anything to do with his casting on the show.
She’s certainly run lines with him over the years, including for a self-tape audition for Season 2 of The White Lotus, she revealed on Broad Ideas. (He didn't get the part, but HBO announced a year after her podcast appearance, in March 2026, that he's set to star in the show's fourth season.)
“I definitely helped him [in his career],” Sanchez said on the podcast.
“[But] by helping him, I mean I recognized his potential and I motivated him and became ambitious for the both of us.”
She went on to explain that Greenfield has an “artistic mentality,” whereas she is much more “propulsive in my goals and my ambition.”
“And so I was like, ‘Hey, let me show you how to be super bossy and get what you want.’ And he did.”

1989 Series Called ‘Most Watched Ever’ is Officially Getting a Modern Reboot
Summer is right around the corner, and there’s only one team we trust to protect the beach. That’s right, Baywatch is coming back to television!
The original series aired from 1989 to 2001, spanning 11 seasons. It followed a group of Los Angeles lifeguards. Episodes focused on their interpersonal relationships and the difficulties their job entailed. The lifeguards encountered sharks, earthquakes, and even serial killers.
It starred Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth, David Charvet, Erika Eleniak, and David Hasselhoff and was created by Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz, and Gregory J. Bonann.
After its first season, Baywatch was canceled. It survived syndication and would later earn the Guinness World Record for the most-watched TV series ever.
The reboot has been in production for two months and should be ready for the fall, but it will not be released then. Fox is planning to delay the premiere until January.
According to Deadline, Fox Television Network President Michael Thorn spoke about the upcoming series on a press call Sunday.
“We have a rich history of launching series midseason,” he said. “Obviously, Baywatch is a huge, huge priority for us, and we think we have a great opportunity to set the show up for success there.”
He recognized how important the original series is to audiences.
“We’re feeling great about where we are, but also feeling the pressure of already heightened fan expectations,” Thorn said. “There’s only one Baywatch. It’s one of the most iconic, popular television franchises in TV history.”
Fox has been working on the reboot for several years. They created another lifeguard drama, Rescue: HI-Surf, from producer John Wells. The 2024 show only lasted one season.
“We love John Wells, and we took a shot with HI-Surf. It didn’t quite catch on. Baywatch is a much soapier, juicier show than HI-Surf, and we hope it resonates as much as the original does, that’s our goal,” Thorn said.
Fox executives would not confirm if the Baywatch premiere will be after a big NFL game. It seems likely, since the network is waiting for the NFL schedule to be released before finalizing launch plans.

'The Hangover' Star Zach Galifianakis Claims Blockbuster 2009 Comedy 'Really Messed Me Up': 'I Was Angry About It, to be Honest'
The Hangover might have been responsible for launching Zach Galifianakis' highly accomplished career, but the 56-year-old comedian has also admitted to feeling some unexpectedly mixed emotions as a result of the hit 2009 comedy.
More recently, the Between Two Ferns host on the May 4 episode of the Conan O'Brien Needs a Friendpodcast. During the course of their conversation, Galifianakis discussed the overwhelming experience that came from his breakout role in The Hangover, including the widespread fame and exposure he was granted as a result.
“I am one of these people that feels very fortunate to be working, but the first part about having success or whatever, being known . . . that really messed me up. Not in a ‘woe is me,' but no one ever asked me any questions until I was in a movie with a monkey. I found that to be odd, that switch," the actor said, referencing his role in 2011's The Hangover Part II.
Throughout the course of The Hangover trilogy, Galifianakis played the role of Alan, a mild-mannered yet awkward eccentric primarily responsible for the alcohol-fueled happenings of the series.
In their conversation, podcast host Conan O'Brien observed that Galifianakis remains incredibly down-to-earth despite the fame of the series, pointing to how well certain celebrities handle the fame of Hollywood.
"What I found is that it's a magnifying lens," O'Brien said. "It just magnifies things. So if you're insecure, you will become more insecure. If you tend to be angry, you'll become a rageaholic. If you are someone who's capable of feeling gratitude and the people around you, those things can be enhanced.”
“I was angry about it, to be honest,” Galifianakis cut in to say.
“It intimidated me and I got weirded out by it,” he continued. “But now that I'm old, none of it matters and who cares. But it was a change.”

The cushion is plump and lofty, filled with lush padding that provides substantial support without feeling overly firm. It's also water-resistant, so it will stay in great shape even in wet weather.

Seven-Book Series From Now-Controversial Author Featuring Magic and Adventure Ranks the Most Banned Books of the 2000s
There is plenty of controversy around author J.K. Rowling today, but it hasn’t just started. Originally, the controversy was around the novels that put her on the map, the Harry Potter series of books. Starting with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which went by the title Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in the United States, the seven-book series was the focus of campaigns across the country throughout the 2000s.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was first published in 1997, and the first three books after that were published in consecutive years. After that, there was a few years until the fifth book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which was published in 2003, and then the final two books were published in 2005 and 2007 respectively.
Many Argued Against the Subject Matter in the ‘Harry Potter’ BooksRowling’s books were quickly banned, and they are now classed as the No. 1 most challenged book during the first decade of the ‘00s by the American Library Association. It wasn’t just one reason for banning the books, either.
The Boy Wizard was banned or restricted in libraries around the country between 2000 and 2009. The banning first started in the 1990s, with it ranking No. 48 among the American Library Association list. Interestingly enough, the books are not ranked in the Top 100 between 2010 and 2019.
Why J.K. Rowling’s Books Were BannedSome people found the topics unsuitable for the ages of the children reading, as Harry and his friends would find themselves battling against adults. Religion also came up as a reason, as the Harry Potter series regularly included magic and witchcraft, with many parents worrying about the safety of their children.
There were some concerns over the darkness and scary themes throughout the book, and then there were others who viewed the book as being anti-family and even “setting a bad example.” Yet, the novels have become some of the most popular around the world, being transformed into eight movies and now a new TV series in the works at HBO.
Kate Gosselin Shares Rare Photos of Sextuplets on Mother's Day and You Won't Believe How Old They Are
Kate Gosselin rarely shares glimpses of her family on social media these days, so when she posted photos of some of her sextuplets on Mother's Day weekend, fans were thrilled. But the story behind those pictures is messier than most—starting with a totaled car and ending with two failed homemade cakes.
On Monday, May 11, the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star, 51, shared a TikTok montage showing four of her sextuplets—Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel—celebrating Mother’s Day and their 22nd birthdays at a restaurant alongside their mom. Hannah and Collin, who have lived with their dad Jon Gosselin for several years, were not in attendance.
But the journey to that celebration wasn't smooth. The video opens with daughter Leah pulling up in an SUV to pick up Kate before getting into a car accident that completely smashed the front of their vehicle.
@kate.gosselinTo say it was eventful would be an understatement! 😳 #Birthday #carcrash #mothersday

Rolling With the Punches"Unfortunately, the trip started out rough," Kate wrote over the footage. But she quickly pivoted to what mattered most: "Fortunately, Leah and I are uninjured. Her car did not [fare] so well…It's totaled. But as they say, the show must go on. We had a BIRTHDAY to celebrate! And lots of catching up to do!"
And they did. Despite the accident, Kate and her family gathered at a restaurant to celebrate with meals and cake. The photos show them laughing, raising glasses, and enjoying each other's company.
Credit: Kate Gosselin/TikTok Homemade Cake DisastersBut apparently, the mishaps didn't stop at the accident. When they got home, Kate attempted to make a homemade cake—a tradition she's maintained for over 20 years—and it fell apart almost immediately. As she tried to spread chocolate frosting, the cake began crumbling.
"Yet another snafu," Kate wrote. "The same cake I've made for 20+ years didn't turn out……Not even Baker Leah could fix it!"
"We even made a second one," Kate added. "NOPE!"

In the end, all turned out well. The mom of eight shared a photo of herself lounging on the couch with her kids, captioning: "Finally we ended the weekend with a Mother's Day birthday bash combo with a 'CHUNK' of my kids."
The real highlight came in the form of a fill-in book titled "Just a Few Things I Love About You Mom" that her children gave her—which Kate called "the BEST gift my kids have ever given me."
