Kody Brown’s Radical Transformation Has 'Sister Wives' Fans Doing a Double Take
Sister Wives star Kody Brown is back in the spotlight after a striking new look surfaced on social media, quickly setting off a wave of fan reactions and double takes online.
In a new Cameo video shared by a fan, Brown debuted a noticeably different look. He appears to have traded in his signature blonde ringlets for a shorter style and what appears to be his natural gray hair.
The video was posted to the social media site in tribute to a fan who received it as a Mother's Day gift. A photo of Brown's former look is used as a profile image.
In the clip, the reality television star, who once lived a polygamist lifestyle where he had four wives, began by sharing his thoughts about the day that celebrates mothers. Brown was previously married to Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown. He is legally wed to Robyn Brown.

"Mother's Day is a very special day. Mothers need to be exonerated because it's a wonderful job, right, but it's a tough job," he began.
He told the fan that her husband requested this video from him because she was a big fan of polygamy shows. Brown responded, "Most polygamy shows are awful. The reason you like our show, it wasn't a polygamy show, it was a family show, until recently, when I think it became too toxic."

Brown added, "The whole reason we went public was that the polygamy culture tended to be very culty. It was a place where people would lay down their ability to choose what would happen in their life and give that sovereignty over themselves and their body to another person."
The six-minute video then veered away from being a Mother's Day message and a diatribe about the religious beliefs Brown no longer subscribed to.
The video clip sparked fan reaction on a Reddit thread titled, "Kody cut off his ringlets."

"Somehow, I think it's a worse haircut than the ringlets. If that's even possible," wrote one follower.
"I don’t think he cut it off. I think it’s just pulled back somehow, not a ponytail, maybe a bun? I think his ego is too big to cut it," claimed a second Reddit user.
A third Sister Wives viewer wrote, "I’m pretty sure that even if he had considered shaving it before, he definitely wouldn’t now because everything in his mind seems to be a competition. The way he thinks, he would probably convince himself that people would assume he was trying to imitate David [Woolley, Christine's husband], and he would never want to feel like he was looking up to someone or doing something because of them."
Sister Wives is currently on hiatus. The series airs on TLC.

Nicolas Cage, 62, and His Wife, Riko Shibata, 31, Snuggle up on the Red Carpet
Nicolas Cage and his young wife, Riko Shibata, look very much in love on the red carpet.
Cage, 62, was born into the iconic Coppola family, and kicked off his career with roles in the teen comedy hit Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Martha Coolidge's cult-classic Valley Girl. However, he soon proved his acting chops with roles in films like Raising Arizona. His Academy Award-winning role as a self-destructive alcoholic opposite Elisabeth Shue in 1995's Leaving Las Vegas went down in film history, as did his several classic action flicks like Con Air, Face/Off, and Gone in 60 Seconds. They're still quoted endlessly to this day!
These days, Cage is still having regular hits at the box office, like 2024's horror filmLonglegs. But in a unique twist on his storied career, the film legend is making the leap to TV, taking on his first leading television role. The actor hit the red carpet on Wednesday evening at the world premiere of Amazon Prime Video's Spider-Noir at the Regal Times Square in New York City. Joined by his wife, Shibata, 31, whom he married in 2021, the actor looks confident and happy. The duo held hands as they worked it for the cameras.

Later in the evening, the duo snuggled up together, curling up on a couch and smiling after walking the red carpet. Clearly, they're very much in love.

What is Spider-Noir About?A live-action series based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Noir tells the story of Ben Reilly, played by Cage, a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life, following a deeply personal tragedy, as the city’s one and only superhero, according to a release.
Spider-Noir premieres worldwide on May 27, 2026. In a unique twist, Spider-Noir will be available to stream in two ways: In “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color,” so audiences can choose their own adventure to watch.

Cirie Fields Reveals Why She Knew She Could Never Reach the End of 'Survivor 50' (Exclusive)
Survivor 50 is here! Every week, Parade's Mike Bloom will bring you interviews with the castaway most recently voted off the island.
As the epic cast of 24 players stood at the opening of Survivor 50, quite a number of tears were shed. But perhaps the most emotional, surprisingly, was the one among them who has the most experience: Cirie Fields. In her time between stints in Fiji, the reality TV legend has kept busy, winning The Traitors, making a deep run on Big Brother, and even appearing on an international Survivor season. But, as she put it on Day 1, "Survivor is like home for me. And there's no place like home. What brings me back is knowing it could give me more and that it always gives me more every time I come." And, indeed, what Cirie gave us over 23 days was perhaps her most impressive game to date.
Of course, given Cirie's stature in the game, becoming the first person to play Survivor six times, it was only a matter of time until she would get targeted. And Jenna Lewis Dougherty would get that formality out early, warning everyone how threatening she was. It says a lot, however, that not only did nobody on her tribe heed her words, but they proceeded to then vote her out unanimously. Astoundingly, Cirie quickly found herself in the Cila center, well-connected with pretty much everyone. But her most meaningful relationship was, surprisingly, with Ozzy Lusth, whom she had blindsided nearly two decades ago. Now, however, the two were thick as thieves, eager to used their combined 200+ days of experience to finally accomplish what neither could do: Winning the game.

By the time Cirie hit the merge, she had gained even more connections. Most prominently, years after meeting Rizo Velovic at a casting call, he got the part of one of her closest confidantes, as the two eagerly shared information. Indeed, at the Final 11, Cirie outlined that she either had an alliance or "understanding" with nearly everyone left in the game. No matter what their relationship, they felt some form of trust in her, eager to bring her in on any plan they had brewing. The bad news for Cirie: Most of those plans involved voting out Ozzy. Not wanting to lose him anytime soon, she would turn on the afterburners, swaying the votes to get the mullet man out of every hairy situation. Unfortunately, that also meant going after some of the people she was previously tight with, including Christian Hubicki and Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick.
After feeling she had a grip on the endgame yet again, Cirie's hands began to slip when the tribe was shockingly split in two on Day 21. With only four people vulnerable, she was suddenly in the line of fire, the intended target of a plan concocted by Emily Flippen and Rick Devens. But she was able to outscheme the schemers, saving herself with an expert play of an Extra Vote, the only advantage she's ever used in her Survivor career. On the other side, however, Ozzy was a bit more stingy with his other advantage, getting taken out with an idol on his pocket (at least it wasn't Cirie's doing this time).

Now missing one of the only people who would take her to the end, the climb to Final Three suddenly became much more of an uphill battle. When Tiffany Ervin won a crucial Immunity Challenge at the Final Six, Rizo and Aubry Bracco both set their sights on the legend, knowing they stood no chance sitting next to her. Sensing her time was coming to an end, Cirie put in work that afternoon, and nearly convinced the majority that Aubry had leaked precious information to her. But, in the end, no amount of twisting could obscure the massive threat she was. Cirie was taken out in sixth place, yet again deprived of a win. But she went out how she came in: With some incredibly gracious words about the show that took a chance on her 20 years ago.
"Thank you Jeff, for some of the best years of my life," she said, standing in front of the veteran host. "I am forever grateful for what Survivor has done for me. I don’t even have the words to express how grateful and thankful I am for finding out there’s so much more to life than what I knew from sitting on my couch and watching TV."
Now out of the game, Cirie talks with Parade about what she felt her chances were of making it to the end in the final week of the game, the variety of relationships she had throughout the season, and what she thinks her legacy across 20 years of Survivor is.

So you had a clear sense your name was on the chopping block during your final day. And you put in work to try to sway the votes onto Aubry. By the time you got to Tribal Council, did you think you had any chance of staying?
No. I knew from conversations that they didn't show with Joe. Joe, this is his moniker:We keep it real with each other. I said, "What are you thinking?" And Joe's response to me was,
"Well, Cirie, you know, nobody's going to sit next to you and win." And I knew at that point that, yeah, there was nothing. When I didn't pull a Hail Mary out, it was nothing. I was going to go.
Let's say Tiffany doesn't win immunity there and she goes out. Do you think you had a path to the end at all at Final Five?
No, I'm next. It was spelled out, no matter what. Because Tiffany, Ozzy and maybe even Christian would be the only people willing to sit next to me in the endgame. And once they were gone, I knew Jonathan definitely wouldn't sit next to me. Joe pretty much told me he wouldn't. And even Rizo, I knew Rizo wanted to win so badly. And Rizzo is schooled to the game; he's a child of Survivor. So he knows that is no way me and him gonna sit in the end and he's gonna walk away.
Well it wouldn't be a season with you, Cirie, if you didn't have an entire web of relationships that you were playing with. Let's pull on a couple of threads. You told me before the season you wanted to try to connect with Ozzy early on in the hopes you could work together this time, and we saw how well that worked out for you both. Talk to me about working with someone who you blindsided with an idol in your pocket yourself 34 seasons ago.
It just speaks to how dynamic relationships can be, right? People mess up all the time. People may offend even in this game, being blindsided by me. But if you have the right conversation and communication and you are sincere. Ozzy knows me a little bit, right? He could tell that I was sincere in saying, "I will ride with you today." And he knows my history. If I can trust you, if I feel I can trust you, I'll ride with you to the wheels fall off. And I felt the same from him. So I thought it was awesome that we both have such a long history. We played together so many times on opposite sides and opposite teams, and we could come together and try to make a run in Season 50. I thought it was a beautiful day.
We got to see a bit of your reaction to finding out how his blindside went down. Talk to me more about that.
In the moment I couldn't understand. Because I felt like it was going to be an easy vote if Ozzy just chilled out. And I even texted Ozzy last night like, "Dog, I'm sorry for saying that craziness. What are you doing?!" But that was my reaction in the moment. Now, in hindsight, I see what Ozzy was trying to do. And Ozzy did a lot for me in the game. He protected me through that first vote. He gave me his extra vote. So people mess up sometimes. But that doesn't define who you are, and I love Ozzy.
Let's talk about the third member of "Cirie's Rizard of Oz" in Rizo. In the preseason you told me, "I never met a Rizo that was on the up-and-up." Yet it was clear the two of you were close out there, with him even saying last night you were his "rock" out there. What was your dynamic like?
That's who I am, Mike. If my gut tells me, and you have shown nothing but the fact that I can trust you over and over and over again until you don't. I'm a "ride-or-dier." I will ride with you till the wheels fall off. I kind of take people under [my way]. Rizo was younger than all three of my sons. And the fact that he was bringing me information, information is currency. He kept proving again and again that I could trust him.
So, like with my kids, my kids have messed up before. But does that mean I disown them and I don't love them anymore? Nah, I'm not like that. And Rizzo thought, rightfully so, "I could never win against her, and maybe this is my shot to take it." And he took it. He's like a younger version of me. So there's no hard feelings for me and Rizo.
We saw you working closely with Tiffany towards the end of your time in the game, and she's the only person to not vote for you last night. What was that relationship, and how did it form?
I don't know. It was just like instant chemistry. The second that Tiffany and I came together, it was like, "Oh my god, I love her." And we were like two peas in the pot. I even heard through Rizo that Joe started saying, "Cirie and Tiffany are getting too close." [Laughs.] And it was unintentional. IIt's almost like being at work, and you have your people. You hang with them, you eat lunch with them, you look for them. You see them on break, you want to go talk to them. That's what it was for me and Tiffany. I was just drawn to her and drawn to her energy, and it couldn't be hidden.
You and Aubry had worked together closely in Game Changers, and both of you said in the preseason you were eager to work with the other. But we see the two of you gun for each other last night, albeit through loving voting confessionals. Were you working with her out there like you intended?
There was definitely a distance there. One, we were not on a tribe together for some time. And then when we did come together, I had already been so tightly woven with other alliances, I was never targeting her. Until last night, obviously, and that was just because it was a Hail Mary and me or her. But prior to that, I was never targeting Aubry.
Even the conversation that they show with Genevieve, they only showed that clip, but they didn't show that there was a whole conversation. It looks like I sat down and said, "Aubry has an idol." But to my knowledge, I thought everybody knew Aubry had an idol! So I didn't feel like I was giving any easter eggs to Genevieve. I just had to give her something because she was talking to me. So it was a little distance. We weren't closely aligned. But there was never an intention for me to target Aubry. I love Aubry.
What about Jonathan? We see in last week's episode that he's coming to you to talk through the plan on both sides of the beach. You say in this episode that you can "twist him around," and he says you never lied to him. How did the two of you work together?
Believe it or not, I really kind of connected with Jonathan. We talked about things outside of the game about stuff at home that kind of brought us together. And even though I knew from the first tribe switch that Jonathan wanted me out, because, as we saw, he went to Dee and was like, "We gotta get Cirie," we had a decent relationship. And like Jonathan said last night, it was actually correct. I had never lied to Jonathan, because there was no reason for me to lie to Jonathan up until that point when I was trying to throw the Hail Mary to save my skin. But yeah, me and Jonathan had a decent working relationship.
We're talking about all of these connections you had, something you tout during a confessional at the Final 11. But then we see you have to make decisions to get rid of people you were working with, like Christian and Stephenie, to protect Ozzy. How did you deal with the fallout of those decisions, especially from someone like Stephenie, who you had a pre-existing relationship with?
Was there fallout? [Laughs.] I didn't experience any. You know what's so crazy? Somebody else online said, "How is Cirie doing this?! There's no repercussions for her." There was no fallout.
[Laughs.] This season, you finally got an advantage in your hands that you could use. And, for the first time in your Survivor career, you did, utilizing your Extra Vote to save you and force a 2-2-2 tie to boot Emily. Was there something that happened that sent up a red flag to play it? Or were you always going to use that Extra Vote?
Tiffany and I have spoken. They didn't show it, but I told Jonathan too. There was not a question in my mind with Devens having an immunity idol. And Devens is a player. He's a strong player. So if I'm Devens, I'm thinking, "Which way do I go?" And I felt like it was a 50/50 chance. So my gut said to me, "Devens is never going to give up his immunity idol for somebody else." But if there was a minuscule chance of it, I didn't want to go home with a piece of paper souvenir of an Extra Vote.
You said in no uncertain terms before this season that Survivor 50 would be the last time you would play. Has that changed at all based on what went down?
Oh no. I'm going to be 56 in July, Mike. And I started this when I was 35, a young whippersnapper on the "older ladies" tribe. They messed up. So no, I feel like I've gotten everything I need to get. I feel especially with my performance on Season 50, I feel like, what else? Listen, I'm not snubbing my nose at $2 million at all. However, Mike, I've gotten so much more than I bargained for in 20 years. I didn't expect it to be next year after my first season. So to have a 20-year run and to be known as the best to have never won, all I hear is "the best," and that's good enough for me.
What was your reaction when Aubry said you were the greatest player of all time?
Oh my God. I mean, I've heard that time and time again. And you know what? If you hear something over and over and over and over and over again, eventually you start to believe it. And that's what's happening for me, and that's why these 20 years are good enough for me now.
So since this is truly your last time, I want to look back on those 20 years. You say during the Colby Tribal Council, "I never thought I would pave the way for anybody." And you told me before the season that Survivor 50 would be about proving to yourself the legacy that everyone else has assigned to you. So, now that your path has ended, what do you think is your legacy across six seasons and X days of Survivor?
I think it was necessary for me to be on Survivor and not be good at challenges and not be good at finding idols. I feel like I represent the average person that the average viewer that's at home, and not really that secure in who they are and not really that confident. And 20 years of having all of my vulnerabilities on display and receiving the amount of love and support from perfect strangers around the world — not just around the country! I got DMs last night from people in China with screenshots saying, "We're devastated. China loves you, Cirie!"
I didn't start this for that. I started as a fan who wanted to try something, try a game that I loved watching. And it culminated into 20 years of life experiences, friends that are now family members. I feel like I just paved the way for the average person at home that isn't that sure of themselves to say, "You know what?" If Cirie could go out there and do it and almost drown and didn't do this well in a challenge and couldn't make it across a balance beam and do it time and time and time and time again and still have the performance that she's had in Season 50, maybe I'll give it a try."
And it's clear that, despite Season 50 being your sixth time out, it was still incredibly meaningful to you. You spoke from the very beginning until the very end about how grateful you are for the experiences you've received. As much as you have given the show, it's clear the show has given a monumental amount to you as well.
I said it to Jeff at the end. I've gotten so much out of this show. I've got so much confidence. I do feel invincible. Because when I started in 2005, I was afraid of everything. I wasn't afraid of leaves, to be clear! But I was afraid. What it taught me is that I am my own worst critic and worst enemy when it comes to fear. And every time that I went on the show, and I was like, "Oh, God, what if it's this challenge?" And it always turns out better than I expected. And that's what I need people to take away. Don't let fear rule your life or keep you on the couch. You can conquer that fear. All you have to do is take that first step towards it, and I promise you you'll conquer it. Because that's what happened for me.

And shoppers seem just as excited to see them returning this year. Over on Reddit’s r/Costco forum, one person shared, “They were giving out samples. Had one bite and these bags went straight into my cart.”
Another recommended keeping them chilled, writing, “They’re best in the fridge,” while also suggesting they work well crushed over ice cream for extra texture and flavor.
Someone else joked, “Satan, I did not need to read this temptation today.”
If you grew up chasing down the ice cream truck for strawberry shortcake bars, there’s a good chance these won’t last long once they make it into your pantry.

1974 ‘Happy Days’ Episode Ranked ‘Greatest’ of the Series Marked the Final Appearance of One Character
A 1974 Happy Days episode was named the “greatest” of the series, but it also led to one of the greatest mysteries in TV history.
Gold Derby ranked the Season 2 episode, “Guess Who’s Coming to Christmas,” as the all-time best episode from the 11-season sitcom, which aired on ABC from 1974 to 1984. The holiday-themed episode outranked classics such as “Fearless Fonzarelli, “A Date with Fonzie,” and "My Favorite Orkan,” the latter of which introduced up-and-coming comedian Robin Williams to the franchise.
The Happy Days Christmas episode featured a story about lonely tough-guy Fonzie (Henry Winkler) sharing a special holiday with the Cunningham family.
In its synopsis of the episode, Gold Derby noted, “Fonzie ends up spending Christmas Eve with the Cunninghams, finishing with a heartfelt, 'thank you, God.’ This is the last time Chuck is seen before disappearing for good.”

Never mentioned again“Guess Who’s Coming to Christmas” originally aired on Dec. 17, 1974, and it was one of the first episodes that gave the Fonzie character a main storyline, Winkler told TV Line in an interview. But it was also the end for Chuck, the eldest Cunningham family son, who was never mentioned on the show again.
“People still ask me about Chuck,” Winkler shared in the interview. “[The writers] couldn’t write for Chuck anymore because Fonzie was essentially the big brother.”
Chuck Cunningham appeared in a total of 11 Happy Days episodes. Gavan O’Herlihy played the character in nine episodes, per IMDb, but was replaced by Randolph Roberts in Season 2 for two episodes before Chuck disappeared from the show forever.
Roberts had several scenes in “Guess Who’s Coming to Christmas,” including one in which his character couldn’t find a faulty Christmas tree bulb and another in which he couldn’t figure out how to fix the family’s motorized Santa Claus. Fonzie ultimately fixed both problems, and by Season 3, the Fonz was living in an apartment above the Cunninghams’ garage.
The disappearance of Chuck spawned the "Chuck Cunningham Syndrome," a TV trope that refers to a character who goes missing with no explanation.
Happy Days creator Garry Marshall once addressed Chuck's vanishing act during a panel appearance. “Everybody asks me what happened to Chuck on Happy Days,” the showrunner shared. “We thought Richie (Ron Howard) needed a brother… but you've got to pay attention to what's happening. It soon became obvious because we heard the audience love Fonzie, it soon became obvious that Fonzie was like the older brother, and that was the relationship that was working."
“So I just said let's just have Chuck disappear and let's see how much mail we get,” Marshall continued. "We didn't get much, and the cast was, you know, around 11 years.”

1991 No. 1 Hit, Banned by Music Channels, Won Video of the Year
In 1991, Garth Brooks released “The Thunder Rolls”—and became embroiled in controversy as it dominated the charts.
When the country superstar released “The Thunder Rolls," it quickly became his sixth No. 1 country hit during the explosive rise of his career. But while the single dominated country radio, its dark and cinematic music video sparked one of the biggest controversies Nashville had seen in years.
Part of the uproar surrounding the song came from a darker fourth verse Brooks often performed live in concert but left off the radio version. In the additional lyrics, the wife grabs a pistol after discovering her husband’s infidelity, strongly implying she plans to kill him.
Brooks later explained during an interview for Biography that audiences reacted strongly whenever he performed the verse live.
She runs back down the hallway, and through the bedroom door
She reaches for the pistol kept in the dresser drawer
Tells the lady in the mirror, "He won't do this again"
'Cause tonight will be the last time she'll wonder where he's been
“One night on a whim, in a concert, I put the [fourth] verse back in,” Brooks said. “The crowd response shocked me, so we started working it up that way and the more and more we did it, the more and more crowd response we got.”
Brooks said that reaction inspired the concept behind the music video.
“So when we started talking about a video, I wanted to include the concept, even though we wouldn’t be singing the verse,” he said.
When the video premiered on CMT and The Nashville Network (TNN), the reaction was immediate there as well. TNN quickly banned the video, while CMT pulled it soon after, arguing that the channels were “in business to entertain” rather than tackle social issues.
According to Patsi Bale Cox’s book "The Garth Factor: The Career Behind Country’s Big Boom," Capitol Nashville publicist Cathy Gurley screened the video for a panel of professional women before its release, and several believed it could help raise awareness about domestic violence. One woman on the panel had reportedly lost a sister to domestic violence and called the video one of the most powerful statements she had ever seen.
Instead of fading away, however, the controversy only made the video bigger.
Radio stations, newspapers and television outlets across the country began requesting copies so audiences could judge it for themselves. Some stations even organized fundraisers for battered women’s shelters tied to public screenings of the video. According to Cox’s book, advocacy groups and shelters later contacted Capitol Records to thank Brooks and his label for helping bring attention to domestic violence awareness efforts.
Brooks later admitted he intentionally wanted the video to provoke strong reactions—and he was not afraid to go there on future videos.
“I doubt that 'Thunder Rolls' is the last one that you'll see that deals with something that controversial. Because that's just where I like to walk. I love to walk on that firing line and, you know, make people start talking and make people start thinking among themselves,” Brooks said during a 1991 interview with journalist Jim Ruddy. “I think that’s how things get solved. But it’s not until you talk about them till they do.”
The singer also revealed that he deliberately cast himself as the cheating husband because he wanted viewers to despise the character.
“I had to find somebody that could make people hate him make people hate him real real bad,” Brooks said during the Biography interview. “So by the end of the song it was almost the viewer wishing that they were behind the gun.”
At the time, Brooks was helping reshape country music into a mainstream cultural force. In a 2024 retrospective, Billboard argued that Brooks didn’t simply “cross over” into pop music like earlier country stars. Instead, the publication credited him with rewriting the commercial rules entirely by bringing arena-sized performances, cinematic storytelling and blockbuster album sales directly into country music.
“The Thunder Rolls” became one of the clearest examples of that shift. The song topped the country charts in 1991, while its once-banned video eventually won CMA Video of the Year and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Music Video, Short Form.
Years later, Brooks still defended the message behind the controversy.
“The more light that is shed on darkness, the less there is that can be hidden,” Brooks said during the Ruddy interview.

According to Olson, “In the beginning, before season one, I almost didn't take [the role], because I was reading the scripts, and Dee was the voice of reason, and they all were really funny. I said, 'With all due respect, I just don't want to play that character. I don't want to be the voice of reason.' It just wasn't what I was interested in doing. They said to me, 'Look, we just haven't really written for women that much, but we'll figure it out.' My first thought was, 'Well, don't write for a woman. Just write another funny character.' I'll make it female just by not doing anything. I just am a woman. Don't think about it as male or female."

Olson, on the other hand, then became the aggressor, with the Mac actor saying of his now-wife, “She pursued me like a jungle cat.”
While they flirted here and there and kissed a number of times in the interim, the two officially became a couple in March 2006 at the wedding of two of their co-stars, Charlie Day and “The Waitress” actress Mary Elizabeth Ellis. McElhenney admitted, “At a certain point, you can only be respectful of the situation for so long. You have a woman this beautiful, this talented, this kind.”

Rob, who I've now married, had to be talked into hiring me."
Are Dee and Mac still married? As previously written, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-stars Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney, who play Dee and Mac respectively, are still married. They have been together since the show's second season in 2006 and married since September 2008. The pair share two children.

Old Navy's Affordable Canvas Jacket Is the Perfect Grab-and-Go Layer for Everyday Wear
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
One thing I've learned over the years is that having a reliable lightweight jacket nearby always comes in handy. The weather can change quickly, especially when you're constantly moving throughout the day like I am. Some mornings start cool, afternoons warm up, and then rain randomly decides to show up out of nowhere. Because of that, I've gotten into the habit of always keeping a good jacket in my vehicle. It's one of those everyday essentials you don't think about until you suddenly need it.
I'm also somebody who appreciates clothing that feels practical without sacrificing style. I don't always want something oversized, heavy or bulky taking up space in the car. A good lightweight jacket should feel versatile enough to throw on quickly, whether you're running errands, grabbing food, traveling around the city or dealing with an unexpected temperature drop. The best ones become part of your daily routine naturally because they work in almost every situation.
Cropped Canvas Barn Jacket, $34.99 at Old NavyOld Navy
Shop It!That's honestly why the Cropped Canvas Barn Jacket from Old Navy caught my attention immediately. At $34.99, this feels like the type of jacket you can keep nearby at all times without overthinking it. It delivers a rugged everyday aesthetic while remaining lightweight and functional enough for regular use.
What stands out to me first is the overall design. The cropped fit gives it a cleaner, more modern appearance than heavier, oversized outerwear. It layers easily over hoodies, t-shirts or sweaters without feeling too stiff or restrictive. Personally, I like jackets that feel easy to throw on quickly while still making an outfit look complete, and this fits that category perfectly.
The corduroy spread collar honestly gives the jacket a lot of personality, too. It adds texture and detail without making the piece feel flashy. There's something classic about that combination of canvas and corduroy accents that always feels timeless. It gives off a vintage, utility-inspired look while still being wearable for everyday situations.

I also appreciate the functionality built into it. Between the zip welt chest pocket, front welt pockets and full zip front, the jacket feels practical enough for daily movement. Whether you're storing keys, keeping your hands warm, or just needing an extra layer during unexpected rain, those small details make a difference over time. The fully lined interior is another major plus because lightweight jackets can sometimes feel too thin, but this seems balanced enough to provide comfort without becoming too heavy.
For me personally, pieces like this become staples because of convenience. I love having a dependable jacket sitting in the backseat ready whenever temperatures drop, or rain starts rolling in unexpectedly. You don't always want to carry around a hoodie or wear a heavy coat all day. Sometimes you just need something simple, comfortable and reliable that works without effort.
At under $35, the Cropped Canvas Barn Jacket feels like one of those affordable wardrobe staples that can quietly become part of your everyday. It's stylish enough to wear casually, practical enough to keep nearby constantly and versatile enough to work across multiple situations without feeling overcomplicated.

Stephen Colbert Still Has Barack Obama Salty Over Wastepaper Basketball Loss
President Barack Obama isn't ready to let it go that late-night comedian Stephen Colbert beat him at wastepaper basketball.
During a sit-down interview, the former president recalled asking NBA great Julius Erving for an autograph as a kid living in Hawaii, prompting Colbert to recall that Dr. J was the first person he ever played wastepaper basketball with.
"You and I played wastepaper basketball once back in the day," Colbert recalled. "It doesn't matter who won."
When Obama asked who won against Dr. J, Colbert replied, "I won, and he was not happy," adding, "he accused me of cheating."
"Yeah... you probably did," Obama quipped, stone-faced. "I mean, you practice... You crumple the balls up a little tight..."
View this post on InstagramAstonished, Colbert says, "I'm not! I have never—you gotta let it go, man. You've done a lot of great things. Don't let this be the thing that, in the middle of the night, you go, 'What if I had won? What if I had achieved that?'"
Smiling, Obama said, "I'm getting kinda hot. Let's move on."
Obama doesn't mess around when it comes to basketball. Last month, he shared a video of himself working seriously on his phone, teasing some "unfinished business." Text messages shared on screen looked like trash-talking, leaving fans wondering what he was working on. "I can't believe I'm still dealing with this," he said with a serious look on his face.
While some people hoped it was a return to the political arena, Obama's unfinished business was a basketball grudge match against Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards. After exchanging a few barbs, it was time for serious hoops. "I was making jump shots before you were even thought of!" Obama snarked, adding, "I don't want you hurting yourself."
Despite the verbal sparring, the rivalry showdown was staged to announce the Obama Presidential Center this summer. Hopefully, the president will swing by from time to time to challenge visitors not only in hoops, but also in ping pong and Connect 4.
Pepsi Launches Limited-Edition New Collab with Pokémon – And Fans Want to 'Catch Them All'
This year marks the official 30th anniversary of the wildly successful multimedia series, Pokémon.
To celebrate the big event, multiple well-known food and beverage brands have announced new partnership with the creators of the franchise to help bring certain limited-time Pokémon products to life.
While American fans will receive limited-edition collabs between Pokémon and brands like Pop-Tarts, Japanese audiences are getting what might very well be the most exciting lineup of releases tied to the franchise.
According to Sporked, Pepsi is set to roll out a wide variety of new soda bottles featuring some of the most famous Pokémon characters ever featured in the series. This includes:
- C.C. Lemon: Lemon soda featuring the images ofPichu, Pikachu and Raichu.
- Pepsi Big Zero: A Japanese-exclusive, zero-sugar, zero-calorie iteration of Pepsi featuring images of Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard.

- Natchan Orange: Orange juice featuring images of Pawmi, Pawmo and Pawmot.
As delicious and creative as these sodas sound, sadly, American Pokémon fans might have trouble finding them in the States, with the products exclusively sold in Japan. However, Sporked recommended more determined collectors check their local Asian supermarkets or try to get their hands on the bottles through online sellers.
Launching in 1996, Pokémon initially began as a colorful Nintendo video game before its successful transition to mainstream pop culture. Over the years, it's spanned numerous video games, card games, tie-in animated series, movies, comic books and many more.
Since its inception three decades ago, it's become one of the highest-grossing media franchises ever created, with its estimated revenue somewhere around $115 billion.
2012 ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Episode Ranked the Funniest in the Entire Series Had an Iconic Guest Star
The Big Bang Theory lasted 12 seasons, running from 2007 until 2019 with 279 episodes overall. Although there are plenty of iconic episodes, “The Hawking Excitation” has been ranked as the funniest one in the series by Collider. This was the first episode to involve the legendary Stephen Hawking, who appeared 7 times over the course of the show, although several of his appearances were voiceovers only.
In “The Hawking Excitation,” Howard receives an email from Hawking’s office, announcing he is coming to lecture at Caltech and is in need of an engineer to help maintain his wheelchair. Sheldon, who is a huge fan of Hawking, asks Howard to introduce him. However, Howard makes him complete a series of humiliating tasks first. In the end, Sheldon gets to meet Hawking in person.
Jim Parsons, who played Sheldon, spoke about working with Hawking during an interview with TV Guide in 2012. The actor said, "It was insane and intense, if I'm being honest. To be in his presence was a very powerful thing. He's communicating only through a speech-generating device, but I was also able to look into his eyes."
He continued, "We had this scene written out, and obviously his lines were pre-programmed into his computer. They had the capability of just cueing his lines, but he demanded to control every take himself by operating his machine with his cheek muscle. At first he was very slow getting the cues going, but they fine-tuned it. Only at the very end of the day did I realize the magnitude of what we'd pulled off."

Parsons also spoke about Hawking in a 2018 interview with The Associated Press, pointing out how fortunate he felt to work with the man, who passed in March of 2018. Parsons said, "So much of our show is related, based on, adjacent to everything that Stephen Hawking did, strove to do, thought about, was passionate about through his entire life and career. The fact that he knew of our show, was interested in being on it, was willing to come play with us group of monkeys for a couple days was really moving."
He continued, “And it's one of the things that's kind of bittersweet in a way because once he's passed now and now we're talking about him, it really hammers home how fortunate I was to get to be with him.”
The Big Bang Theory led to the spinoffs Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. HBO Max also recently announced Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, which will star members from the original cast.

McDonald's Debuts Brand-New Creamy Strawberry Coke – But Fans Aren't Thrilled with the Finished Product
In the grand scheme of things, it's hard to think of two brands more readily recognized by international consumers than Coca-Cola and McDonald's.
Catering to fans in every corner of the globe, one might think that Coke and McDonald's go together about as well as PB and J or ice cream and chocolate syrup, with both products managing to bring out the best in one another's distinct flavor profile.
As great as each product is on its own, a new Coke beverage from the iconic fast food chain has been turning quite a few heads in recent weeks – and not in a good way.
As reported by multiple diners across social media, McDonald's Canada has recently launched a new version of their classic Coke beverage in the form of their Creamy Strawberry Coke.
Leaning into the ongoing craze surrounding the dirty soda trend, the beverage specifically combines that beloved Coke flavor with notes of fresh strawberry and rich cream.
While these flavors might sound delicious, many social media users are expressing their disappointment with the new beverage, with one account only ranking it 2/10 stars on Reddit.
"Creamy top doesn't work and strawberry is artificial tasting and overpowering," the user wrote.
"McDonald’s Coke is perfect, and nothing should ever be added to it except more of it," another account added.
Some fans did offer the helpful suggestion of stirring the cream topping into the beverage to ensure a more conducive cream-based drink, rather than watching the cream settle at the top of the drink.
"IMO the cream sits on top of the ice too much and leaves you under-satisfied when you drink it as served. I mix it from the start now and it’s so much better," one user recommended.
As of yet, it's not clear whether the Creamy Strawberry Coke is a limited-edition menu item or a permanent addition to McDonald's Canada.
