Maine Coon-Bengal Mix Cat Chirping at Birds Is Mesmerizing to Watch
While letting your cats outside on their own is not a great idea, taking them outside for little supervised adventures is awesome. Some breeds are more adventurous than others: if you have a thrill-seeker, outside trips are pretty much a must.
One woman has a Bengal-Maine Coon mix. That's an adventure cat if I've ever seen one! He loves going outside, and he even chirps back at the birds. It's really a sight to behold, plus he's so handsome in the sunshine:

♬ sonido original - DAMusicH MusicNeville the Bengal-Maine Coon is a very long, very happy boy. He's the product of two of the highest-maintenance, most exciting cat breeds the world has to offer, and you can tell. There's never a dull moment with him, if only because he's so handsome it's hard to take your eyes off of him.
Neville's favorite thing to do when he's outside is chirp at all of the birds, and he's doing a great job. He sounds just like them! Some cats' chirps are a little too deep, but Neville's chirps are perfectly on-key with the real birds. They probably think he's one of them!

Neville loves chirping at the birds, but realistically, he wouldn't hurt a fly. He's 7 months old and has always had all of his food provided for him, so he's never had to learn how to hunt. Plus, he's a very sweet boy. He's a friend, not a fighter! Unless you're the TV, then he wants to beat you up:
@nevloongbottomA daily occurrence to raise my blood pressure… Thanks Nev x #kitten #bengal #mainecoon #catlover #cat

Are Maine Coon-Bengals Hard to Handle?Neville is a good boy, and he's relatively easy to please. Bring him outside, let him chirp at birds, and he's happy as a clam. However, this breed is definitely not for the faint of heart.

Both Bengals and Maine Coons are considered breeds that aren't beginner-friendly. They need a lot of attention, entertainment, and food to live: these cats grow up to be very large. They're costly to care for, can be tough to train, and often require a little creativity. These cats are also:
- Intelligent.
- Playful.
- Kind and affectionate.
If you think you can take one of these cats on, you won't regret it. When they have what they need to succeed, they're some of the best cats ever!

Blind Foster Dog Just Played for the First Time—and Everyone Is Emotional
Well-known animal advocate Isabel Klee just took in her latest foster dog, a small pooch named Gracie, who is blind and has diabetes. The sweet pup has been up for adoption for over 100 days, and Klee is hoping to show potential pet parents what a wonderful addition she could make to a family.
It always takes a few days for foster dogs to decompress in a new environment, yet Gracie perked up pretty quickly under Klee's care and even started showing her fun side.
@simonsitsSeeing Gracie come out of her shell is EVERYTHING ❤️ @Muddy Paws Rescue
♬ were going to be friends - speedylyricIn the TikTok from @simonsits, Klee sat on the couch next to Gracie when all of a sudden the precious pooch got a little animated. She began playfully growling and pawing at Klee, almost like she was starting some sort of game.
"Our blind foster dog played with us for the first time," the onscreen text explained as Klee laughed at Gracie's adorable antics.
The frisky fur baby playfully nipped at Klee and seemed to have a case of seated zoomies. The foster mom continued the entertaining banter with Gracie and was thrilled to see the canine cutie come out of her shell.
Klee's dog Simon just quietly watched the goings-on without getting involved. As the brother to many fosters over the years, Simon is obviously used to many different pooch personalities. Klee gave him some extra kisses for being such a good sport, while Gracie gave her a look that said, "Hey, what about me?"
All Dog Breeds Are Susceptible to DiabetesCanine diabetes can afflict any dog regardless of age, breed, or health. Unspayed females, seniors, obese dogs, dogs with Cushing’s disease, or dogs with pancreatitis are at a higher risk for diabetes, though the exact cause of the illness is still unknown.
Insulin injections are typically the main treatment for canine diabetes. These are usually given twice per day and are relatively easy to administer. The needles tend to be very small and most dogs aren’t fazed by receiving them.

Couple Walks Into Shelter to Adopt Cat—Then Get an Unexpected Surprise
You might walk into an animal shelter to rescue a pet, convinced you know exactly what you're looking for. There's nothing wrong with that; in fact, you really should be doing your research and making a decision before you turn up at the shelter, ready to take someone home.
However, sometimes, the universe has other plans. When one couple adopted a cat from an animal shelter recently, they expected that they'd just get their cat and go home... But apparently, the Universal Cat Distribution System had other plans:
@almondandcashieLosing Lenny a few months ago was so hard on my parents especially right after moving to Florida with him. I believe that Lenny made sure this outcome happened today 🥹❤️ #catshelter #rescue #wholesome #catsoftiktok #cattok

It didn't go quite as planned, however. Originally, they had wanted to adopt a single cat: that's what Lenny, their old cat, was. One cat was perfect for them. When they got to the shelter, they fell in love with a cat almost immediately... Only to find out she was in a bonded pair!

They're both girls. They believe that Lenny sent them both, and one of the comments said that Lenny must've been thinking, "all that love you had for me was so much you’ll need two kitties to put it all into, here is a pair that are perfect for the job." I'm not crying, you're crying!
@almondandcashieLenny sent them a two for one special because of how much love they have to give ❤️ name reveal soon 👀 #catshelter #rescue #catsoftiktok #cattok #storytime
♬ Take my Hand - Instrumental - afterlivesThey're Torties. Good luck! They'll be some of the most loving cats you've ever known, but they'll also have some of the biggest attitudes!
Why Adopting Two Cats Is Better Than OneIf you only have space for one cat in your home, don't feel discouraged from adopting. There are plenty of cats in shelters who would love to or even need to be single, but there are also plenty who would do better in pairs.
Two bonded cats sitting together.Image via Shutterstock / Ground Picture
Cats aren't solitary animals. They love to form little packs, and shelter cats in particular may form a bond with another cat in their area. Even if they don't and aren't specifically a bonded pair, adopting two cats at the same time has a few benefits:
- They might feel more comfortable while they're transitioning.
- Having a friend decreases their separation anxiety.
- It gives them someone to play with.
- They'll prefer exploring their new home in pairs for safety.
If you can adopt two cats, you should do it. The shelter should be able to help you pick out two with similar personalities, likes, and dislikes, or you could always look out for bonded pairs! They'll always be listed on the shelter's website.

6 Dog Commands Dogs Often Misinterpret (and What to Say Instead)
As a pet parent, you may literally tell your dog everything. Yet when you need to work with your furry companion to get something done—like waiting to cross the street safely—it's vital to speak in a language they can actually understand. After all, since dogs communicate differently than people do, sometimes things people tell them can actually confuse them and make them think it means something else. To find out 6 common commands dogs misinterpret (and what to say instead), keep reading to discover tips from trainers.
"Dogs don’t come pre-programmed to understand words," says Alexandra Bassett, CPDT-KA, the founder of Dog Savvy Positive Dog Training. "They learn through repetition, consistency, association and consequences." Because of that, Bassett stresses that it's important to remain consistent, avoid repeating cues without follow-through and to use words that jive with what you want your dog to do. Otherwise, they start to mix words up. "If you don't, your dog will either fill in the gaps and guess at what they want, or default to their natural behavior," Bassett says. "That’s where 'misinterpretation' happens."
Remember, dogs are non-verbal creatures so learning our language can be tough. Although, it's doable if you're teaching them correctly. "It's not really about finding the 'perfect' words, it’s about being consistent, clear and fair, while giving your dog the training and time they need to learn," Bassett states. "Dogs thrive when communication is predictable and when they’re recognized for a job well done."
Bassett explains that cleaning up cues and rewarding dogs for performing them correctly with praise, treats or access to something they love, can also improve obedience and help them understand words and phrases better. "We’re reducing stress, increasing motivation and helping the world make more sense to them," Bassett says. The goal is to make communicating and living with your dog safer and more rewarding for both of you. To help, trainers shared common dog commands misinterpret and what to say instead.

"As a pet parent, you shouldn't demand compliance—you should be guiding your dog's behavior and reinforcing it," Bassett says. "A cue signals an opportunity for a dog to earn something rewarding, whether that’s a treat, a toy, praise or access to something they want." Overall, it's vital to make sure your cues are clear. Here are several that dog owners use that dogs can misinterpret and what you can do to fix your training mistake.
1. "Come"Bassett notes that it's vital that your dog understands this recall cue. "It can literally save their life," she explains. However, Bassett says unfortunately, "come" is also one of the most "poisoned cues" pet parents use that can confuse dogs. "Pet parents often use it right before something the dog doesn’t like," Bassett states. "For example, calling them when it’s time to leave the dog park. From a dog’s perspective, it means all their fun is ending."
Pet parents also pull this word out when it's time for baths and nail trims—neither of which are your dog's favorite things. Bassett warns that dogs can start associating "come" with unpleasant actions as a result, which can cause them to misinterpret that command. "Dogs can begin to hesitate, play 'catch me if you can,' or avoid responding altogether when they are confused by something you say," she says.
How can you fix your training mistake? Bassett begs pet parents to protect their recall cue. "Only use 'come' when you can reinforce generously with treats, praise, play or even the chance to return to what they were doing, which can be one of the most powerful rewards," she says. If you need your dog but aren't sure they'll respond, Bassett suggests going to get them rather than ruining "come" any further.
2. "Sit, sit, sit"Another trainer says 'sit, sit, sit' will not hit the right notes with your dog if you use this as a command, in part because of the repetition. Because of that, this common dog cue can confuse your dog. In fact, Annie-Mae Levy, CFBA, a professional dog trainer at Woofz, says "sit, sit, sit" is one of the most common commands dogs misinterpret.
"It is so common to hear owners saying sit three to five times to their dogs before they either give up or get the desired behavior," Levy states. "This teaches dogs to only sit when they’ve heard the command multiple times or to simply ignore it entirely."
How can you help your dog understand your instructions and listen to you? Levy notes that pet parents often forget to practice commands in more distracting situations, but by dong that, it can help you dog be a better listener. So while it can be scary to practice cues in more chaotic environments, like a park, a trainer says it can make all the difference.
3. "No!"“No” is one of the most commonly used dog cues, but according to trainers, it’s also one of the most misunderstood in dog training. Bassett explains that this dog cue is too vague to be meaningful to most dogs. “‘No’ doesn’t tell a dog what to do—it only tells them to stop,” she says. “It’s also often delivered with strong emotion, which can create confusion, anxiety, or even fear without offering clear direction.”
Instead of relying on “no,” effective dog training commands should be specific, calm, and actionable. Dogs respond better when they’re given a clear alternative behavior rather than a general correction. "For example, if your dog is jumping on counters or engaging in unwanted behavior like counter-surfing, interrupt calmly and redirect them. Other dog training words to use can be 'off,' 'place,' or 'go to your bed,'" Bassett states. "You can also guide them toward a toy or another approved activity to reinforce positive behavior. The goal is to replace the unwanted behavior with one you do want, rather than expecting your dog to figure it out from 'no' alone."
Consistency is key in dog training tips like this. By replacing vague commands with clear cues and positive reinforcement, you help your dog understand exactly what’s expected—leading to better behavior and less frustration for both of you.
Related: A Trainer Reveals 8 Signs Your Dog Feels Relaxed, Happy and at Peace With You
4. A dog's name as a correctionAnother common dog training mistake that can confuse dogs is using your dog’s name as a correction. Many pet owners unintentionally turn their dog’s name into a negative cue by using it to stop unwanted behavior instead of as part of clear dog cues.
“I often hear owners shouting the dog’s name when they are doing something wrong,” Levy points out. “This is problematic because we often start important cues—like recall—with the dog’s name. Shouting it when we’re angry can build a negative association.”
Over time, this can weaken essential dog training commands and make your dog less responsive, especially when it comes to recall or attention. Instead of signaling something positive, your dog may begin to associate their name with stress or correction.
What should you say instead? To improve communication and avoid this dog training mistake, use your dog’s name only to get their attention—then follow it with a clear, specific command. Levy recommends building a calm, consistent correction cue. “Instead, build a clear but calm negative marker like ‘no’ and always follow up with an instruction,” she explains.
5. "Down."According to trainers, “down” is one of the most commonly misused dog training cues, and it’s a frequent source of confusion in everyday dog training mistakes.
Levy explains that many owners teach “down” to mean “lie down,” but then use the same word to stop jumping or remove dogs from furniture. “The most common problem I see is people shouting ‘down’ at their dogs when they jump up or want them off furniture,” she says. “Getting front paws off something or stopping a behavior is completely different from asking for a lying-down position. This is a classic example of humans forgetting that dogs learn in a very contextual way.”
This inconsistent use can lead to misinterpretation, where a dog no longer clearly understands what “down” actually means in training situations. To improve clarity, each cue should have one specific meaning. Because of this, Levy recommend reserving “down” strictly for the behavior of lying down on cue.
6. "Wait/stay"Levy says dog owners often use these cues interchangeably, but your dog actually only has to have an understanding of one. "Instead, you want to aim to teach with just one of these words and gradually increase your 3 Ds—distance, distraction and duration," Levy says.
Bassett is also a fan of duration. "As a positive reinforcement trainer, I prefer to build duration into every behavior," Bassett says. "For instance, 'stay' means 'stay' until your dog is released with a consistent, specific release word, such as 'OK,' "break," or 'free.' This helps your dog understand both the expectation—stay in position until released—and when they’ve succeeded, leading to much clearer and more reliable behavior."

Golden Retriever Discovers She Can Blow Bubbles and Can’t Stop
A kiddie pool in the backyard feels like a simple idea. Cool water, a little splash time, maybe five peaceful minutes while your dog relaxes. And then your Golden Retriever discovers something new,and suddenly it turns into a full event.
That's exactly what happens here, and it goes from cute to completely fascinating in about two seconds.
@redgirlmillieMY BUBBLES 🫧 #bubbles #funnydog #cutedog #outside #golden
♬ original sound - MillieThe adorable clip was posted by the TikTok user @redgirlmillie, and it shows a red Golden Retriever named Millie standing in her kiddie pool, lowering her face into the water, and then… bubbles. Real, intentional bubbles. Not an accident. Not a one-time thing. A repeat performance.
She lifts her head, processes what just happened, and then immediately goes back in, like she has discovered a new skill she can't stop practicing. It's the kind of moment where you can actually see the gears turning.
Related: Golden Retriever Puppy in a Pool Is a Floating Bumblebee Baby
The caption says, “If you're having a bad day, here's my dog discovering she can blow bubbles,” which feels accurate because there's something very pure about watching a dog surprise herself like this.
People in the comments completely understood the assignment. “You have a genius on your hands,” one person wrote, and honestly, fair. Another said their own Golden does the same thing and had to be gently stopped because she would keep going until she was out of breath, which… feels exactly like something a Golden Retriever would do.
It's not just the bubbles. It is the commitment. The curiosity. The way she keeps going back in like, wait, I need to confirm this is still happening.
Why Your Dog Needs a Kiddie Pool This Summer @morganzuhmakesBest $16 ever spent #dogmom #pregnancylife #septemberduedate #25weekspregnant #dogmomlife #easyactivities
♬ Do You Believe in Magic - The Lovin' SpoonfulA kiddie pool can be a simple way to keep your dog cool and entertained during hot weather. Dogs, especially active breeds like Golden Retrievers, can overheat quickly, and access to water helps regulate their body temperature.
It also provides mental stimulation. Even something as simple as splashing, digging, or in Millie’s case, blowing bubbles, can keep them engaged and happy.
Kiddie pools are also a low-commitment option compared to larger setups. They're easy to fill and clean, and they can turn an ordinary backyard into something your pooch actually looks forward to.
Just make sure to supervise your dog while they're in the water and refresh it regularly to keep it clean.
Sometimes it really is that simple. A little water, a curious dog, and suddenly you have a whole new favorite activity.

Cameras Just Captured 'Rocky' the Bear With a One-of-a-Kind Face and Everyone Is Falling in Love
California's Angeles National Forest has become world-renowned for its steep canyons, pine-covered ridges, and sweeping views that span miles. Home to many types of wildlife, the unique terrain is a great spot for hikers and nature lovers alike. If you're lucky, you might just see one of the area's most popular animals, Rocky, the bear, who's stealing hearts everywhere because of his adorable face.
View this post on InstagramThis massive behemoth of a bear has been caught on hidden cameras quite a few times now as he treks the canyon's path toward the creek. Videographer and photographer, Robert Martinez (via @parliament0f0wls), has been sharing his incredible footage of Rocky (along with other local wildlife), garnering the big bear quite the fan following!
If you haven't seen this big boy before, take a look through Robert's amazing footage!
As you can see, Rocky is special not only for his size but also for his sweet face. The one-of-a-kind teeth and jaw make him easy to spot. Comparable to the pop culture character, Rocky Balboa, Rocky's look is all his own.
Before Rocky, there was another fan favorite, Wilford, but he hasn't been seen since last summer. Thankfully, Rocky is primed and ready for his close-up, so we get a glimpse at how these amazing creatures live.
Can Bears Survive With Deformed Teeth?Rocky's broken teeth aren't exactly ideal for hunting and thriving in the wild, but experts say that, in general, bears can still survive (albeit with some disadvantages) with them. Bears are resilient, capable of bouncing back from most injuries as if their lives depend on it... because they do!
Broken teeth, deformed or misaligned teeth, and/or jaws can be a problem if the injuries make it difficult to eat or drink, if they get an infection, or if they complicate the way the bears forage.
While those in captivity can receive veterinary care and regular checkups (root canals, dental work, etc.), wild bears are always at risk of injuries becoming worse over time. But again, these are animals built for survival, and you can tell that much from Rocky. Plus, he's just way too cute with a rare face no other bear has!

Kind Bearded Dragon ‘Checks On’ Family Puppy Like a Scaly Hall Monitor
As someone with both a Bearded Dragon and a dog, I can confirm that they are the most underrated duo of the century. My Bearded Dragon loves to be all up in everyone's business! We even moved her in front of the window so she can people-watch all day long!
Apparently, she's not the only one. When one family got a new puppy, their Bearded Dragon decided he was all over it. That's his puppy now, and it's his job to check on her accordingly. He's doing a great job:

Bearded Dragons Are Naturally CuriousBearded Dragons are not for the faint of heart: they genuinely want to be involved in everything, and they love to roam around. They can't sit still!

Their natural curiosity is something you can lean into and use to your advantage to keep them entertained. They love to explore things, especially when there are different textures involved. You'll also notice that they lick around a lot: that's how they get information about their surroundings.
If you want to do something fun with your Bearded Dragon, you could try:
- Taking them outside.
- Setting up a "food trail" for them to follow.
- Bring them somewhere with different textures than they usually see.
Keep an eye on them at all times, though. As you can clearly see with Mushu, these lizards move faster than you might think!

♬ оригінальний аудіозапис - ДЖАМПЕР 🦁 мастифThe adorable clip was posted on the TikTok account @dzamper.top, and it shows the Mastiff bouncing around, tail up, clearly trying to play. Meanwhile, the Chihuahua is standing firm, barking like he's personally responsible for maintaining order.
“Little guy is not playing. Big guy is,” one commenter wrote, which sums it up perfectly. The energy could not be more different.
Another person said, “Chihuahua: Size 0%, Attack mode 100%. Tibetan Mastiff: Size 100%, Attack mode 0%,” and honestly, that might be the most accurate breakdown of this entire situation.
There's also something oddly beautiful about the way the Mastiff moves. “His hair moves like a soft air on the grass in summer,” one comment reads, which is dramatic but not wrong. He looks like a giant cloud trying to make a new friend.
The funniest part is how gentle the big dog is. No tension, no pushiness. Just hopeful, slightly bouncy energy like, hey… are we doing this or not?

♬ Bubblegum K.K. (From "Animal Crossing: New Leaf") - QumuYes, big dogs and small dogs can absolutely be friends, but it depends on personality, training, and supervision.
Well-socialized, calm dogs tend to do best in mixed-size friendships. The bigger dog needs to understand how to play gently, while the smaller dog needs to feel safe and not overwhelmed.
Introductions should always be slow and controlled, especially at first. Watching body language is key, as it helps you see whether both pups are comfortable.
When it works, though, these friendships can be surprisingly strong. Size might look dramatic, but temperament is what really matters.

Labrador Comes Face-to-Face With a Bear and Says 'Not Today, Sir'
Some dogs greet the world with curiosity.
Some dogs greet it with friendliness.
And then there is a Labrador named Bennett, who looked at a baby bear on the other side of the patio door and responded with the emotional energy of a man shutting down a very bad sales pitch.
@amanda.kendlerMy sweet Bennett is a heartbreaker 🥺🐾 #bears #blackbear #funnyanimalvideos #petsoftiktok #asheville
♬ Won't You Be My Neighbor? - Mister RogersThe video starts with Mom walking up to the back patio door, and there, on the other side of the glass, is a baby bear. Not just wandering by. Not just sniffing around. This little guy is fully engaged, reaching up toward the glass like he has spotted the world’s fluffiest new acquaintance and would very much like to pet the doggy. The caption even says exactly that: “Bear says ‘imma pet this doggy.’”
And honestly, the bear’s intentions seem weirdly sweet.
Bennett, however, isn't buying it.
Not for one second.
That's what makes the clip so funny. On one side of the glass, you have a baby bear coming in with big, curious neighbor energy. On the other side, you have a Labrador giving pure, “absolutely not” in the calmest, firmest way possible. No chaos. No panic. Just a very clear internal message that seems to be: I do not know you, sir, and I will not be participating in whatever this is.
View this post on InstagramThe song playing, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” by Mister Rogers, somehow makes it even funnier. Because yes, technically that's the vibe from the bear. Gentle. Hopeful. A little socially bold. But Bennett is standing there like the only thing he wants from this neighborhood interaction is stronger boundaries.
The post caption says, “My sweet Bennett is a heartbreaker 🥺🐾,” which is pretty perfect. Because he's sweet, but he's also deeply unimpressed. And that combination is comedy gold.
I have to admit, my dog Lola would do the same thing, except with much less size on her side. She would absolutely try to take on this animal even though she's maybe as big as the bear's head, if that. She would bring a lot of confidence, no real plan, and a firm belief that she had been chosen to handle the situation personally.
That's probably why this video works so well. It has a baby bear, a dog with opinions, a perfect song choice, and the kind of visual contrast people can't resist. One side says new friend. The other says wrong house.
And honestly, both of them are kind of adorable.
Why Dogs Act Fearlessly Around Large AnimalsDogs can look fearless around bigger animals for a few reasons, and bravery isn't always the whole story. Sometimes, it's territorial behavior. Sometimes, it's excitement or frustration. Sometimes, it's simply that the dog sees a strange animal near their space, and they react first without fully appreciating the size difference. VCA Hospitals notes that dogs are genetically predisposed to territorial behavior and may bark or react strongly when something unfamiliar gets too close to what they see as their safe space.
That is why “fearless” pups are often just being very dog about things. The confidence may be real, but so is the instinct to guard, warn, or react before thinking it through.
Honestly, Bennett looked like he was one glass pane away from filing a formal restraining order against woodland friendship.

Golden Retriever and Doodle Interrupt Storm Chaser on the Job and Steal the Show
A daring Doodle and a curious Golden Retriever completely upstaged a well-meaning storm chaser outside of Oklahoma, a reminder that even in the most serious situations, dogs can bring levity and lightheartedness to an otherwise tense moment.
While the storm chaser risked getting caught in the chaos of an approaching storm, he pulled over to film the incoming weather event. As he focuses his camera on the ominous gray clouds rolling in, the Doodle and the Golden Retriever run into frame and immediately stealt he spotlight. Instead of avoiding the storm, the dogs create their own kind of chaos—an adorable distraction that's impossible to ignore.
@abc7chicagoA storm chaser got a surprise visit from not one but two adorable dogs while out on the job in Oklahoma. Chad Casey posted footage of the wholesome interaction on X. “Had some friendly visitors come say hi yesterday while out chasing,” he wrote. The video shows Casey parked up along a highway by a storm cloud when a smiley dog jumps up to his window for pets. The moment gets even better when a second surprise dog suddenly jumps into frame.
♬ original sound - abc7chicago - abc7chicagoRather than tense up or shoo the dogs away, the storm chaser welcomes them into the moment, embracing their unexpected cameo as they eagerly soak up the attention.
Why Dogs Are Drawn to Strangers @pupettaandleoneMy two big bad babies….not when there is a thunder storm. #thunderstorm #tornado #dogsoftiktok #germanshepherd #funny
♬ Heavy Thunderstorm and Light Rain with Intense Lightning and Thunder Sounds - Relaxing GuruBreeds like Doodles and Golden Retrievers are highly social and thrive in the company of other dogs and humans. Bred as companion dogs, both breeds are drawn to humans even in the most tense situations like a storm. Highly anxious on their own, Goldens and Doodles are known to get intense separation anxiety when not in the company of their humans.
That social nature comes in handy for this storm chaser. Dogs are known for their keen senses, especially when it comes to weather. Their heightened awareness allows them to pick up on low-frequency sounds like distant thunder and detect changes in barometric pressure that often signal an approaching storm. In this case, the storm chaser may have stumbled upon the ultimate weather companions.
More than 16,000 viewers liked the video, with many commenting that the dogs looked ready to join the storm-chasing adventure. Others couldn’t get enough of how the pair confidently took over the scene.
Golden Retrievers and Doodles may be sensitive to storms, but they are also incredibly social and drawn to human interaction. Even in an intense moment, these dogs seemed more focused on making a connection than reacting to the looming weather.
Viewers called the dogs “adorable” and “so cute,” but their appearance also served as a reminder of how animals can shift the mood in an instant. What started as a serious storm-chasing moment quickly turned into something far more memorable—all thanks to two dogs who weren’t afraid to take center stage.
Heartbroken Abandoned Dog 'Traded the Streets for Sandy Beach Paws'—and His New Life Is Breaking the Internet
Dogs are naturally social animals and form close bonds with people and other canines. My two pups — a senior Dachshund and a Pug mix — have very opposite personalities, yet they are practically inseparable after all these years together. Street dogs and strays also develop friendships as they try to navigate life without a home.
Bob the German Shepherd mix lived his life on the streets of Thailand with his fur baby bestie, Angelina, right by his side. Angelina passed away last year, leaving Bob feeling lost and alone. Thankfully, animal advocate Niall Harbison brought Bob to his rescue sanctuary, Happy Doggo, to help him through his grief.
View this post on InstagramThe Instagram video from @wearehappydoggo shared Bob's story and described how the precious pooch sank into depression without his BFF.
"He had spent his life on the streets, but his world shattered when he lost his soulmate, Angelina," the onscreen text explained as Bob lay on the floor, clearly sad and despondent.
Harbison and the Happy Doggo team gave Bob tons of affection and kept him active to help him heal from his tremendous loss. A family learned about Bob from Harbison's social media accounts and wanted to help him heal.
"He had shut down until a family saw his story and knew they had a place for him," the story continued, with clips showing the team preparing Bob to head off to his new life.
Bob Found a New BestieNow settled into his new home, Bob is thriving and enjoying plenty of playing and fun in the sun.
"Today, Bob is living his best life right here in Thailand," the caption read. "He’s traded the struggle of the streets for sandy paws on the beach and a home where he finally feels safe enough to let his guard down."
While no one could ever replace Angelina, Bob was able to open his heart to another canine. His new fur baby sister, a playful Husky, welcomed the former street dog with open paws and now the two are best buddies.
"Whether he’s busy digging in the sand, carrying his favorite toys around, or napping peacefully beside his new Husky sister, he has truly found his peace," the story concluded, adding, "We think Angelina would be so proud of the dog he’s become."

Bratty Cockatoo Meets New Sister and Screams ‘Take Her Back’
When you have a pet, it's only natural for them to make you want another. That's how I ended up with three dogs, four birds, several lizards... It just never stops. Pets are awesome, especially when they get along well!
However, getting along well isn't always the case. When The Parrot Lady brought home a new Parrot to Sweet Pea, a Cockatoo/internet sensation, she was having absolutely none of it. She basically screamed for Mom to take her back:
@theparrotladyI brought a new bird home and my cockatoo was not pleased… 😐 #cockatoo #reaction #adoptdontshop
♬ original sound - Wendy AlbrightSweet Pea has several siblings already, and she has beef with most of them. There's a Labrador Retriever, Copper, who she considers her bestie, but everyone else really ruffles her feathers. She likes to be the center of attention, and they get in the way of that.
Related: Cockatoo Telling African Grey Parrot to ‘Talk to the Claw’ Is Peak Sibling Behavior
Recently, Wendy rescued another bird: an Eclectus Parrot. She lost one of her other birds, so there was some room, and she loves to save birds whenever she can. The new bird's name is Ruby, and she's fitting in pretty nicely.
Well, with everyone except for Sweet Pea, who thinks she's weird. She doesn't like anything about her, at least not yet. Hopefully, in time, they'll learn to get along... But for now, Ruby will be minding her own business, doing whatever this is:
@theparrotladyHelp! My parrot is broken! 😱 #eclectus #parrot #funny #bird #birdtok
♬ original sound - Wendy AlbrightBirds are so weird. It's one of the reasons I love them! Sweet Pea doesn't behave this way; she spends a lot of her time just squawking and demanding her mom's attention. She's lucky she's gorgeous!
Cockatoos Aren't Solitary BirdsIf you look at what Sweet Pea is doing to poor Ruby and her other siblings, you might think that Cockatoos just aren't social birds. Maybe they don't like having friends?

Cockatoos are actually not solitary animals at all: they're very flock-oriented. Some evidence even suggests that they're monogamous and mate for life. However, these birds usually do best around:
- Similar species.
- Birds they know or see often.
- Young birds that they know aren't threatening.
Ruby is new to the home. In time, Sweet Pea will adjust to her being there... Though they might never be best friends. That's for Copper alone!

Great Pyrenees Thinks Tiny Goats Are 'His Babies' and No One Can Deny It
Toby the Great Pyrenees has a very clear understanding of his job description. Baby goats magically appear on the farm? They're his. He’s theres. End of discussion.
The precious TikTok from @itsmelkel shows Toby lying protectively near a group of tiny goats, keeping watch with the kind of love and loyalty that suggests that he's been doing this for centuries. Technically, his breed has been doing this forever.
The text overlay asks: "Should we tell Toby that he is not in fact, the biological father?"
The voice in the video answers that question pretty definitively: "Hey babysitting Toby. You're so sweet buddy. You keeping him safe? What a good boy."
View this post on InstagramThe caption settles it: "Who's going to tell him? Cause it's not me. 🤭"
Nobody's telling Toby anything. Because as far as Toby's concerned, these are his babies, and he's not interested in anyone's opinion about the biology of it all.
The comments understood the assignment completely:
"He's not the stepfather, he's the father that stepped up."
"No need to let him know he is just loving unconditionally."
"It's truly amazing seeing the pure love a dog is capable of."
"Good job, Toby. Keep it up!"
That first comment is pure perfection. Toby didn't need a DNA test to assume his role as daddy. He saw vulnerable baby goats who needed his love, protection, and his entire genetic programming said, "That's me. I'm on it."
Why Great Pyrenees Are Natural Livestock GuardiansHere's what makes Toby's behavior so remarkable: he's doing exactly what his breed was designed to do over a thousand years ago.
According to the Great Pyrenees Club of America, these dogs originated in the Pyrenees mountains between France and Spain, where they were raised by the Basque people to protect their flocks from bears and wolves. For over a millennium, only the most successful guard dogs were allowed to reproduce, which means that protective instinct runs deep.
Great Pyrenees are territorial guards by nature. They work to keep their territory—and everything vulnerable in it—safe from predators. One of the breed's most infamous characteristics is "the absolute intolerance of all predators, coupled with extraordinary patience and kindness to stock."

The breed can be trusted with small, young, and helpless animals of any kind. It's hardwired into them. When Toby sees baby goats, his thousand-year-old instincts kick right in: These babies are small. They are vulnerable. They need me.
Great Pyrenees are primarily nocturnal workers who take their guard duties very seriously. A working Pyrenees will patrol territory, assess threats, and protect those in their charge without needing guidance from humans. They're independent thinkers who know their job and trust their instincts.
So, when Toby positions himself close to those baby goats and refuses to acknowledge that he's not their biological father? He's not confused. He's just doing what his ancestors have done for a thousand years. Guarding the things he loves the most. Those goats may not share his DNA, but as far as Toby's concerned, they're his babies. And good luck arguing with a Great Pyrenees about that.
Saint Bernard Puppy Is Already So Big, He Takes up an Entire Dolly
Saint Bernard puppies don't look like puppies for long. I love them so much; within just a few months, they're just a huge, bumbling mess. There is simply nothing better than a huge puppy who has no idea what to do with their massive body.
Just look at this Saint Bernard puppy! At only a few months old, he's big enough that he takes up an entire dolly. They took him on a trip to Home Depot, and pushing him around is probably equivalent to pushing around several bags of concrete:

♬ som original - 𝑷𝒆𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒔🎵Oakley doesn't belong to the Microfarm Fam: they just happened to see him while they were at Home Depot, and he totally made their day. They were super nice, too, making sure to ask for his name. Hopefully, they didn't actually need to buy anything, since there's no room left on the dolly for anything else.
Oakley's parents actually saw this video, which is amazing! In a comment on the post, they said, "He's 7 months old. Not a service dog. He just loves his weekly trips to Home Depot." That makes me think that they legitimately just go to Home Depot to push him around, which is the funniest thing I've ever heard.

Though Oakley doesn't belong to the people who own this account, they're not strangers to dogs. They have a farm, and their puppies love to play with all of their animals:
@microfarm_fam_travel#ducksoftiktok #birdsoftiktok #doglovers #animallove #dogsoftiktok
♬ original sound - microfarm_fam_travelThe ducks seem to want nothing to do with those dogs, honestly. Maybe they should start taking their dogs to Home Depot, too: I hear it's a great place to make some furry friends!
How Big Do Saint Bernards Get?If 7-month-old, takes-up-whole-dolly Oakley is any indication, these dogs get pretty big. He's already 5 times the size of most grown dogs. That's part of what people who get these dogs love about them! They're huge, cuddly teddy bears.
Big Saint Bernard with tongue hanging out.Image via Shutterstock / EL_Images
Saint Bernards are considered a "giant" dog breed. They typically weigh anywhere between 120 and 180 pounds, though it's not unheard of for a Saint Bernard to get up to 200! Males are typically on the larger end, with females being slightly smaller.
It takes about 2 years for Saint Bernards to reach their full-grown size. Females take a little longer, up to 3 years. Once they are full-grown, though, not even a big Home Depot dolly will fit them! Oakley still has a long way left to grow!

Giant Schnauzers Turn Into ‘Giant Stooges’ Trying to Reach Their Ball
Giant Schnauzers, and giant dogs in general, have no business being as funny as they are. You might think that being bigger would mean they're more sophisticated, or that they understand things better... But it seems to mean the opposite. It's amazing.
These Giant Schnauzers, for example, were three strong. They might look like they could take on an entire herd of animals, but in reality, they couldn't even manage to tackle one ball. It was just barely out of their reach, and watching them try for it is one of my favorite things:
@skyline_giant_schTell me this isn’t the 3 Stooges 😂 #giantschnauzer #funnydogs #dogsoftiktok #fyp #dogs
♬ original sound - Skyline Giant SchnauzersSkyline Giant Schnauzers love to let their dogs be dogs, which I love for them. Every dog deserves to be happy, even if it's just while they're waiting for their forever homes. They treat their dogs like family, because that's what they are!
Related: Girly Little Schnauzer Looks Exactly Like a Barbie Come to Life
Someone in the comments said, "Cerberus separated?" and that is exactly what this looks like... If Cerberus were also one of the Three Stooges, of course. Or would he count as all three? Whatever the case may be, these three dogs all had one mission: get to the ball.
It was just out of reach on a little ledge. They might be Giant Schnauzers, but that still only gets them so far! The best part of the video is the little one coming in like, "Just give me a boost!" If they had, I bet he would've gotten it. This isn't the first time they've had a mishap with a toy, though:
@skyline_giant_schEnzo really said this makes sense 🤣 #giantschnauzer #dogsoftiktok #funnydogs #viralvideo #relatable
♬ original sound - Skyline Giant SchnauzersCan I fit a Giant Schnauzer in my house? No. Does seeing how silly and goofy they are really, really make me want one? Oh, badly. Enzo in particular seems to cause a lot of trouble in his home, but they put up with it: he's just too handsome to get mad at.
Enzo is one of the dogs who fathers the occasional litter at Skyline. I bet all of his puppies also have his infectious, rambunctious personality. I just hope they're better at reaching their toys!
Giant Schnauzers Are Very PlayfulWhen a lot of people think about "giant" breeds, they think about the couch potatoes: Saint Bernards and Mastiffs, for example, are big into lounging around. Giant Schnauzers, however, really love to play!
Giant Schnauzer playing with a ball.Image via Shutterstock / Rita_Kochmarjova
Giant Schnauzers actually have a lot of energy. They love to play, especially games like:
- Fetch.
- Chase.
- Tug-of-war.
The only thing to be mindful of is their size, especially if they're playing with smaller dogs or kids. They have a lot of mass, which translates to a lot of momentum. Don't get knocked over, and if their ball lands out of reach, there's clearly no use in letting them figure that out themselves!

Tiny Jack Russell’s Special Day Is More Emotional Than It Seems
It looked like a perfect day. The kind you don't realize is goodbye until it already is.
A dog dad shared on Reddit in r/jackrussellterrier that his Jack Russell terrier had just been diagnosed with advanced cancer. Dozens of tumors in the lungs. A few months, at best. No treatment plan. Just time.
🐶SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾
So he did what many devoted parents do in that moment. He gave his dog a day that felt full.
A Simple Day That Means EverythingThey went longboarding. Wind in the dog's ears, the steady rhythm of the ride. Later, they shared chicken together, like it was the most important meal in the world.
Nothing about it was extravagant, but when time becomes limited, ordinary moments carry a different weight.
"Sending love to you both. Moments like this mean everything," one commenter wrote.
"Bless you both. Happy trails," said another. And another person wrote, "He's an angel, prayers for your angel."
Related: Heartbroken Dog Dad Turns to AI and Creates Rare Cancer Vaccine to Save His Pup
What Dogs NeedDogs don't think in timelines. They don't understand diagnoses or count the days ahead.
They experience what's in front of them.
A slow walk instead of a long one. A favorite food without hesitation. Lying next to you without urgency.
These moments don't look big from the outside, but to a dog, they're everything.
How To Give Your Dog a Bucket List DayYou don't need a terminal diagnosis to do this, but when time becomes limited, it gives you more clarity about what matters to your dog.
Start by thinking about what your dog has always loved most. Not what looks good in a video—the real stuff. The walk they go crazy for. The food they lose their mind over. The spot on the couch they've been quietly competing with you for. Build the day around that.
For some dogs, it's a trip to the beach or a park they haven't visited in years. For others, it's an uninterrupted afternoon in the backyard followed by a meal that has no business being in their bowl. The point isn't the activity. It's the sustained, undivided attention. No phone. No distractions. Just you, fully present, for the whole day.
The Weight of Caring for a Terminal DogThere's a responsibility that comes with this stage. Watching closely. Adjusting routines. Making sure comfort comes first.
With lung cancer especially, changes in breathing, energy and appetite can come quickly. Many vets suggest tracking "good days" and "bad days" to help guide the hardest decisions down the road.
It's not about extending time at any cost. It's about protecting the quality of the time that's left. Her dad said it best in his post: "All I can do is keep her comfortable until it's time to let her go."
Memories to Hold OntoThis story stays with people because it captures something simple and hard at the same time.
You don't need a perfect plan. Most dogs don't want one.
They want your presence. Your attention. The things they've always loved, given freely.
Sometimes that looks like a longboard ride and a piece of chicken. And sometimes, that's exactly enough.
The most beautiful thing about dogs is that they do not worry about the "few months at best" timeline. They are not mourning their own future. Instead, they are enjoying the chicken in front of them and the feeling of the pavement beneath the wheels.
