While it’s no secret that cats and dogs love to sniff out all kinds of resting spots, there’s no denying the appeal of a good cuddler pet bed. Whether you’re looking for a new nightly setup or something to upgrade one of your pet’s go-to spots around the house, the result is all the same: a cozy, secure design built for lounging and napping alike.

At $20.99, this bed is actually marked down for the second time from its original $40 price, making it one of the better steals we’ve spotted so far this season. And thanks to its printed lemon pattern and vibrant yellow hue, it adds a cheerful touch to any room, with a soft build and pillowy sidewalls that deliver maximum comfort.

Why Cuddler Beds Are a Favorite for Dogs and Cats

Not just a cute name and cozy place to rest their head, cuddler beds are designed to tap into your pet’s natural instincts. With raised, pillowy edges and a soft, wraparound shape, they create a sense of security that helps your little one feel calm, at ease and supported while they rest. This “nesting” feeling is also known to reduce anxiety and help with achieving a deeper sleep.

That said, cuddler beds rely on their materials and structure to make a real difference in your pet’s rest. Many of them use plush fabrics and supportive foam, which helps to cushion joints, relieve pressure points and provide an elevated place to relax, not unlike our own beds. Over time, they can also build a sense of familiarity, leading to better sleep, improved relaxation and an overall happier, well-rested pet.

Ideal for small to medium-sized dogs and cats of all ages, the bed measures 22 inches long, 19 inches wide and 8 inches tall, with an overall weight of roughly 2.6 pounds. Paired with an anti-slip grip on the underside and a soft interior for added comfort, it delivers all the creature comforts of a reliable place to rest a furry little head.

“I bought this bed for my cat and she loves it,” one fan raved in a review, praising it for its “nice size” and “soft and durable” build.

If you’re eyeing this bed for your own fur baby, you’ll want to act fast while the price is still right. Kohl’s tends to run sales on a variety of pet finds each month, but there’s no telling how long this one will stick around. Snag it for your little one or grab one as a gift for a friend and give naptime an instant upgrade.

Little Girl Thinks Beloved Kitten Is Lost Forever -- Then a Miracle Moment Changes Everything

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 9:04pm

Dogsmay have the reputation as the most loyal family pet, but a lost kitten who reunited with its favorite human is proving that cats can be just as dedicated.

In a heartfelt viral video, the lost cat named Tinkerbell can be seen returning home after being gone for a week. The family believed the kitten was lost, only for her to reappear seven days later. “One morning, she reappeared as quickly as she disappeared,” the caption reads. “We don’t know where she went or what adventures she had, but we hope and pray she never does that again! This is the moment my daughter discovers our kitten returned home!”

@torie_storie

Many, many tears were shed when our baby girl was missing for a whole week. We thought we’d never see her again. Then one morning, she reappeared as quickly as she disappeared. We don’t know where she went or what adventures she had, but we hope and pray she never does that again! This is the moment my daughter discovers our kitten returned home!

♬ Stuff We Did (from 'Up') - Piano Version - your movie soundtrack

In the video, the young girl can be seen falling into a warm embrace with her beloved cat the moment they are reunited. It’s an emotional and uplifting moment that highlights just how much pets mean to their families—and how deeply their absence is felt.

The viral video has earned over 34,000 likes and more than 1,000 comments, with viewers sharing emotional reactions. “This is why you don't instantly swoop up every 'stray' you see outside. Some are just trying to find their way back home,” one person wrote. Another added, “The little girl's excitement has me crying. From one cat lover to another, I’m so glad your baby found her way home.”

Days, weeks, or even months after disappearing, some lost cats are able to return home thanks to a natural homing instinct. Experts believe cats may use the earth’s geomagnetic fields along with their strong sense of smell to navigate back to familiar territory.

In the caption, the family shared that they had feared their kitten was gone for good. The young girl’s emotional reunion is a powerful reminder of the bond between pets and their humans.

While the story is heartwarming, it also carries a deeper message. This moment isn’t just about one lost kitten—it’s a reminder that even when pets go missing, there is still hope for a happy ending.

Sweet Gray Cat Picks a Flower From the Garden and Does Something Unexpected

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 8:20pm

There's a moment when you realize your cat isn't just wandering around the yard. She is… thinking. Not in a vague way. In a very specific, deliberate, slightly intense way that makes you stop and watch a little closer.

Fiddy, a gray cat with strong opinions about her garden, doesn't rush this process. She circles, pauses, and studies the flowers like she has standards, and you can tell this isn't random. This is selection.

@aalishelise

ai COULD NEVER #cat #flowercat #catsoftiktok #cattok #catlover

♬ Women with Wings (Instrumental) - Little Whale

The amazing clip was posted on the @aalishelise TikTok account, and it shows Fiddy carefully inspecting a bush of bright pink camellias before choosing one, plucking it, and carrying it inside. Not to play with. Not to destroy. To deliver.

She brings it straight to her mom and leaves it like a tiny offering, which is the part that shifts the whole moment from “cute” to something that feels weirdly meaningful.

Related: Ragdoll Cat Brings His Mom a Piece of Dry Pasta Like It’s a Rare Treasure

The caption breaks it down perfectly: She watches, she chooses, and then she arrives with her gift. And once you see it framed that way, you can't unsee it. This is a routine.

People in the comments were completely emotional about it. “The way she probably saw how happy you got the first time it happened, so she kept trying to recreate that exact moment, I’m sobbing,” one person wrote, and that feels like exactly what's happening here.

Another said, “She needs to have a baby or sibling to teach this tradition to so it can live forever,” which is such a dramatic take and somehow still makes sense.

And then there was, “Press and frame the flowers she brings you. Life is fleeting, and someday you'll miss these gifts,” which is… a lot, but also kind of beautiful in a way you don't expect from a cat video.

It's easy to joke about cats being chaotic or indifferent, but moments like this remind you how observant they really are. How much they notice. How much they repeat.

Why Do Our Cats Bring Us Gifts? Cat with toy mouse.

Image Via: Lanova Daria/Shutterstock

Cats often bring “gifts” as part of their natural instincts. In the wild, cats hunt and carry prey, and bringing it back is a normal behavior tied to survival.

When they live with humans, that instinct doesn't disappear; it just changes. Instead of prey, they might bring toys, random objects, or in Fiddy’s case, something entirely unexpected.

It can also be a social behavior. Kitties sometimes bring items to the people they are bonded with, almost like they're sharing or contributing in their own way.

Some experts believe it can even be a form of teaching or communication, especially if the cat sees a strong reaction and repeats the behavior.

Whatever the reason, it usually comes from a place of instinct mixed with connection, which is why it often feels more meaningful than it should.

A Golden Retriever Just Reunited With Her Long-Lost Bestie and Their Joy Is Pure Magic

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 7:20pm

There are never enough words to properly describe how amazing dogs are, whether with their canine friends or us. With such big hearts and the capacity to love unconditionally, they're the pinnacle of what "good" means, making friends with everyone they meet.

Winni, the Golden Retriever, has a few friends she adores, but she only sees them at the summer house, and the time apart feels like forever. Luckily, they've just reunited, and it's one sugary-sweet moment for the record books!

@reesereinhart

If there's only one pet content vertical allowed to saturate my feed, it will be a dog reunion every single time. Winni—who's named after New Hampshire's Lake Winnipesaukee—is so well-behaved, patiently waiting for Mom to give her permission to see her friends whom she hasn't seen in a year. This is why dogs are the perfect furry souls on Earth!

While there isn't much else revealed about the Golden Retriever or her doggy friends, the precious moment reminds me of another dog dup who recently came together. Littermates Theodore and Rosie were apart for a long time before they reconnected. Now, the rare long-haired Pit Bull siblings are inseparable.

@kingtheo_princessrosie

Now they can spend the rest of their lives together. Through it all…I feel like the lucky one.

♬ original sound - AidInColor Can Dogs Really Remember Canine Friends After Time Has Passed?

It's no surprise to me that experts agree: Yes, dogs can remember their friends and places they've been years after the fact. Through associative and emotional memory, they're more than capable of recognizing faces, scents, and the happy feelings they experienced the last time they were with those people or other pets.

Dogs don't remember events or interactions through chronological memory, but by associating what happened and how it made them feel. It's the same thing with the absence of someone they care about through emotional memories.

They can even recall specific events via episodic memory. Combined with scent triggers, these scenes play out in their minds from years prior, making these reunions really special. All of this to say that Winni may have felt like she'd never see her friends again, but now that they're together, she remembers everything. It looks like this is about to be her best summer yet!

Stunning Pink Orchid Betta Fish Has Everyone Saying He’s Just a Girl

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 6:20pm

You don’t expect a fish to have this much presence. You expect… fish behavior. Calm swimming, maybe a little color, something relaxing in the background. And then Chai shows up, and suddenly it feels like you’re looking at the most high-maintenance, beautiful little main character in a glass box.

He's bright pink. Not subtle pink. Not kind of pink. Full, glowing, “is this even real” pink that makes you question why every fish isn't this color.

@tabbyalicee

Meet Chai 💅 Yes, he’s pink. Yes, he’s thriving. Yes, I spent my adult money on a fish… as one does ✨ I just love all creatures, okay? Big, small, dramatic, aquatic… if it exists, I’m emotionally invested. #betta #bettafish #bettafishtank #siamesefisghtingfish #fishtoker 🥹

♬ EVERLASTING LOVE - GROWS

Shared by TikTok user @tabbyalicee, this video shows Chai gliding through his tank like he knows exactly what he looks like. Slow turns, perfect fins, zero stress. Just existing at a level the rest of us are not.

People in the comments completely lost it. “Most bougie fish to ever exist,” one person wrote, which honestly feels correct. Another said, “Not me looking around trying to figure out where I can fit a fish tank because now I want a pink fish,” and that's exactly how this starts.

“Do I like pink? No. Hate it. Can’t stand it. Would I spend OBSCENE amounts of money for this exact setup and fish? Yes. Yes, I would!!” might be the most honest review of this situation.

Others kept it simple. “It’s a Barbie fish!” and “I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen a pink Betta,” which… same. It doesn't feel real until you see it moving.

And then, “You go, girl!!!” which is where the whole “he’s just a girl” energy really lands. It's not about accuracy. It's about the vibe.

Here’s More of Chai’s Sweet Aquarium Setup @tabbyalicee

Chai’s tank is doing just as much work as he is. The setup includes soft pink coral, tall aquatic plants for resting and hiding, and even little details like a pink starfish that make the whole thing feel intentional.

There is also a touchscreen thermometer, which helps keep the water at a stable temperature, and a magnetic fish cam so you can get a closer look without disturbing him. Which feels necessary when your fish looks like this.

For Betta fish in general, a good setup goes beyond just aesthetics. They need a heated tank, clean filtered water, and enough space to swim comfortably. Plants, whether real or artificial, give them places to rest and reduce stress.

Gentle filtration is important since Bettas have delicate fins, and regular water changes help keep everything balanced and healthy.

Chai’s tank hits that sweet spot where it looks beautiful but also gives him everything he needs. Which is probably why he seems so calm, just floating around like he owns the place.

This Giant Gray Cat Thinks Puzzle Time Means Becoming Part of the Puzzle

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 3:55pm

Cats are really interesting creatures because they don't seem to crave our attention as much as other pets might. They prefer to observe and have their own unique ways of getting our attention when they want it. In those moments, they want to be part of the fun rather than just watch, but you never know what can happen when they do.

In this video, we meet a cute, giant gray cat who decides the perfect time to demand attention from his parents is when they're busy building a puzzle. And he knows the best way to do just that.

@taraconlin

They LOVE a #puzzle #cats #cattok

♬ Dropando Nesse Grave - Cayin22

TikToker @taraconlin shared a video of her adorable cat, who thought he was helping when the family sat down to do a puzzle. The family was sitting at the table, and they had a giant puzzle with thousands of pieces scattered across the table. They're all in focus mode, looking to complete this puzzle together, and of course, the sweet cat wanted to help out.

But the problem isn't that the kitty wanted to help. It's the way he was trying to help, which is exactly how we would think a cat would help: not exactly favorable for completing the puzzle.

This gray cat just wanted to be the center of attention, and when he saw all the people right there, suddenly sitting on the table, covering all the puzzle pieces, was the best option for nap time.

In the comments, thousands of people had a lot of things to say, and pretty much everyone was on the cat's side. And others were sharing the unique ways their cats like to help, too.

One person wrote, "I’m actually shocked no pieces got stuck in the cat's fur when [he] stood up [because] my cat does this and gets the pieces stuck, and I find them all over my house or even still on my cat later when I’m petting her."

Another shared, "I love how cats are attention seekers but still ignore you the moment you call their name."

Someone else added, "The cat is reminding you that [he] was ignoring you and doesn’t want you to pet [him]."

Other comments included, "Mine kept sitting on my keyboard, now she has her own," Why do they love lying on puzzles?" "Cats definitely think they can do puzzles," "And you will NEVER find them for anything that DOES require a cat," and "The cat obviously saw that you were completing the puzzle too quickly and needed to help slow you down."

Why Puzzle Toys Are Important for Cats’ Mental Stimulation and Behavior

This huge cat was doing his best to help out in this situation, in a way only kitties can. But while he may not be doing much to help the family with this puzzle, experts say that having puzzles and mental activities for cats is important for their well-being.

According to the Toronto Humane Society, cats need mental stimulation to stay overall healthy, and they note many benefits. This includes preventing boredom, reducing anxiety, promoting problem-solving skills, and supporting their cognitive health, which keeps them healthy and sharp as they age. It's also a great way to enhance the bond between cats and their families, too.

And just look at how much fun everyone has when they make time to play together. Even if it’s a little chaotic.

They Searched for Weeks for the Perfect Rescue Pittie—Then They Saw Lillie's Eyes

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 3:48pm

There is a moment every shelter dog waits for: the time their gate opens and they get to go to a forever home. It happens when someone stops scrolling, looks a little longer at a photo of a dog and feels something.

In February during the month of love, a pit bull mix named Lillie finally got her forever home, and for this beautiful dog, that moment came down to a single photograph posted online.

🐶SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾

The Photo That Told Her Story

Before she had a name that stuck, Lillie was known as "Tub Tub" at the Lifeline Animal Project shelter in Atlanta. Like so many other pit bull mixes, she blended into the background. Same kennel. Same routine. Same chances of being passed over.

Lillie the pit bull mix at the shelter.

Then came her Second Shot photo taken by photographer Frances Aguilar, and everything changed. Second Shot is a program that aims to give shelter pets a second chance at adoption by putting them in front of professional photographers who know how to bring these animals to life and show their personality, hopefully increasing their odds of being adopted. And in Lillie's case, that's exactly what happened.

Suddenly, everything people had missed became impossible to ignore. Lillie's coat, a warm honey color, almost glowed against the light. A clean white patch stretched across her chest, with one front paw dipped in white like paint. Her eyes came alive brimming with life and a love that was hard to ignore.

Her new photo didn’t just show what she looked like. It showed who she was: a vibrant, happy dog.

How One Good Photo Can Change a Dog’s Life

Shelters have known this for years, but it still surprises people: a strong photo can dramatically increase a dog’s chances of adoption.

Most intake photos are taken quickly among harsh lighting, stressed dogs and unfamiliar surroundings. Under these conditions, even the sweetest dog can look shut down.

Professional photo of Lillie taken by Frances Aguilar

A proper photo session completely changes the environment. The dog is calmer. The lighting is softer. The angle is intentional. And suddenly, adopters can connect.

They don’t just see a dog. They see a companion.

That’s exactly what happened with Lillie.

Lillie Got Her Forever Family

Her future family had been searching for weeks. They kept coming back to pit bull mixes, drawn to their loyalty and easygoing nature.

Then they saw Lillie's photo.

It wasn’t complicated. It wasn’t flashy. It was just her, looking straight into the camera.

They knew.

When they finally met her in person, she didn’t hesitate. She ran up and knocked them off their feet with a full-body hug. Decision made.

From Overlooked to Unforgettable

Lillie’s life now looks nothing like her shelter days.

Lillie enjoying life with her new family.

She goes on daily hikes and loves car rides with her family. Last month, she went on a lake trip and remained close, calm and content the whole time. Lillie showed that she is the kind of dog people hope for.

She’s also started training, and she’s building confidence fast. New dogs, new people, new environments. She’s taking it all in stride. And yes, she’s still winning people over with those same golden eyes.

This Easy Dental Chew Recipe Will Keep Your Dog’s Teeth Sparkling

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 3:00pm

One of the greatest struggles is keeping your dog's teeth clean. They hate when you brush their teeth, and they're always getting into something that's probably not the best for them. My middle dog loves to eat rocks. Rocks!

Even though most dogs make it as difficult as possible to keep their teeth clean, there are little tips, tricks, and things we can try. One dog mom's easy dental chew recipe is sure to be a hit with even the most difficult pups:

@mosbythedood

Have you tried this viral dental chew trend yet??? 🥒🥒🥒 #dogrecipes #dogtreats #dogmom #dogsofinstagram #dogenrichment

♬ Oogum Boogum Song - Brenton Wood

Mosby the Doodle certainly loves these homemade chews! They combine a bunch of his favorite things, and most importantly, he doesn't know it's good for him. If he knew that, there's a very good chance he would refuse it even though it tastes good.

Mosby is a Golden Doodle, and he's very eager to please. Luckily, his mom loves to find things that make him happy that are good for him; that's how you turn the not-fun stuff into a good habit.

Related: Golden Retriever’s Stuffie-Muffled ‘Awoo’ Is Still So Crisp and Clean

What Is the Dog Dental Chew Recipe?

Making your own dog treats doesn't have to be hard. You don't need a dozen ingredients and a big mess to make something delicious! For this recipe, you'll need a cucumber and a low-calorie beef pouch treat. You could use anything, really.

Putting together this easy dog dental chew is simple:

  • Cut an indent in the cucumber (and feed your pup the scraps).
  • Fill the indent with the liquid treat.
  • For even better enrichment and cleaning, you could freeze it first.

Chewing on things naturally helps keep a dog's teeth clean, and cucumbers are low-calorie, low-sugar, and natural breath fresheners!

Are Dental Chews Enough?

Think of it this way: sugar-free chewing gum is kind of the human equivalent of a dog dental chew. It reduces plaque, freshens breath, and keeps teeth cleaner between meals... But would you consider it enough? Would you chew gum morning and night instead of brushing?

A Samoyed with a cucumber in front of their face.

Giving your dog a dental chew every day will help, but it's a supplement to their dental routine, not a substitute for proper dental care. Ideally, you should brush your dog's teeth at least 3-4 times a week. They should also be seen by their vet regularly: they'll do a dental exam.

If you're just looking for something to give your dog a boost throughout the day, this is the perfect solution!

A Walk With 3 Curious Jack Russells Took a Turn When a ‘Hidden’ Creature Appeared

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 1:48pm

It started like any normal walk. Sniffing, pacing, the usual back-and-forth curiosity.

Then, all three Jack Russells stopped at the exact same time.

🐶SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾

In a video shared on Reddit to r/jackrussellterrier, the three dogs lean in first. Curious, relaxed, doing what dogs do when something new appears on the ground.

And then, all three flinch at once. You can almost feel the shift. Curiosity turns into caution in a split second, like an invisible signal passed between them.

One comment summed it up perfectly: "The way they all flinched at once lol."

What They Found

Well, it turns out that while the dogs might have been looking for sticks, they found something that moves instead: a snake.

The snake wasn't moving aggressively. It was just there, minding its own path.

And that’s what makes moments like this tricky. Dogs don’t always recognize danger the way we do. Some freeze. Some back off.

Others don’t hesitate at all.

Related: Tiny Jack Russell’s Special Day Is More Emotional Than It Seems

Why Some Dogs React Differently

If you’ve spent time around Jack Russells, you already know where this is going.

They’re fast. They’re bold. And they don’t always think twice.

"I would be much more concerned for the snake if it was my JRT," one person wrote.

Another added, "Mine sees a snake and it’s dead within seconds."

That instinct comes from their history. Jack Russells were bred to chase and dispatch small prey. A sudden movement on the ground doesn’t scare them. It triggers them.

When Instinct Meets Training

Not every dog reacts the same way, though.

One owner shared a different experience: "We took our Jack to rattlesnake training… he jumped back in the truck before we even reached the event. Instructor said ‘he’s already trained.’"

Avoidance like that can be learned, but sometimes it shows up naturally.

That hesitation you saw in the video? That pause can make all the difference.

In this case, the snake moved on. The dogs stayed back. No one got hurt.

That’s not always how these encounters go.

Not every threat looks dramatic. Sometimes it’s silent, still and easy to miss.

That’s why leash awareness matters. Why recall training matters. Why knowing your dog’s instincts matters.

Because when something unexpected shows up on a walk, you don’t get much time to think.

These three dogs got it right, and instinct and caution landed in the same place.

10-Week-Old Anatolian Shepherd Puppy Makes Border Collie Bestie Look Tiny

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 1:00pm

Some puppies are destined to be massive from the moment they're born. They make look like tiny puppies for a week or two, but the growth spurts start early, and they don't stop for a while.

At just 10 weeks old, one Anatolian Shepherd puppy is already in the running to be the biggest dog on the farm! He's already so big that he makes his fully grown Border Collie bestie look like the puppy:

Raventree Ranch gets a new dog for their herd every so often, and Grimm is the newest addition to the pack! He joins three other Anatolian Shepherds: Bo, Lily, and Judge, as well as several Border Collies. It's been years since they got a new Anatolian!

All of the others are full-grown, and next to them, he looks like a puppy. Put him next to a Border Collie, though, and he suddenly looks like a grown man. Pretty soon, he's going to start surpassing the other Anatolian Shepherds, too. I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the biggest of the bunch!

Related: Border Collie Cracks the Code to the Biggest Bark in the World—and It’s Not What You Think

Grimm is being trained by the oldest, grumpiest teacher Raventree has to offer: Judge. This is the first puppy he's really responsible for, and it's going very well so far:

He's the best, so I expect Grimm to grow up to be a very good guard dog. Lots of animals' lives depend on it!

Why Are Anatolian Shepherds So Big?

Anatolian Shepherds are not typically dogs you see as pets. They're working dogs, and they're very good at what they do.

Anatolian Shepherd Dog

Anatolian Shepherds were bred to be livestock guardian dogs, meaning it's their responsibility to guard the herd/flock from predators like:

  • Wolves
  • Coyotes
  • Foxes
  • Bobcats

Most predators are pretty big, and as a result, the dogs fending them off need to be big, too. If ever they need to fend off a predator, they need the best chance they can get.

Raventree knows that: Grimm is destined to be a big boy! I can't wait to see him grow up!

Tiny ‘Goldendoodle’ Sparked Doubts—Then DNA Results Delivered a Sweet Surprise

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 12:48pm

At six months old, she weighed only seven pounds. By nine months, she had barely hit nine and a half.

Her mom was convinced there had been a mistake and that her dog might be a Cavapoo or a different small breed mix altogether. "No way she was a Golden Doodle," she noted in a recent Reddit post in r/Goldendoodles after sharing the story of her new furry friend.

🐶SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾

The Smallest Goldendoodle

Her parent didn’t plan on getting a puppy at all, but rescues have a way of changing plans fast. As she said in her post, "Didn’t want a puppy at all but couldn’t resist!"

From the start, something felt off. Not in a bad way, but unexpected. Goldendoodles aren’t supposed to be that small.

Naturally, the guesses started rolling in. Maybe a Cavapoo. Maybe a mix of something else entirely.

Then came the DNA test results.

The Result No One Expected

The answer was simple and somehow still surprising: her new cute dog was officially an F1B mini goldendoodle.

No mix-up. No mystery breed hiding in the background. Just a very, very small version of what she was supposed to be.

And the internet had thoughts.

"Not to be dramatic but I just experienced love at first sight," one commenter wrote. Another person joked, "No test required. The side-eye in the first pic tells you everything you need to know."

Goldendoodles don’t have a strict size standard. Even within the "mini" category, there’s a wide range. Many pet parents are told to expect something in the 30- to 40-pound range.

But genetics don’t always follow expectations. One owner shared, "I was told mine would be 30-40 lbs. She’s now 2 years old and 12.5 lbs. Perfectly healthy too."

That’s the reality with doodles. You’re working with a mix, often across generations. Size can vary more than people expect, especially with F1B lines.

Turning Doubt Into Love

Many pet parents find themselves in the same boat with the same thoughts. It starts with questions: Is this normal? Did I get the breed right? Should I be worried?

Then, one day, none of that matters.

You’re watching them nap in a weird position or give you that unmistakable look, and it clicks. This is your dog.

The label becomes secondary.

Somewhere along the way, the doubt turned into pride.

Whether this sweet pup grows to 12 pounds or 20, she’s already exactly what she’s supposed to be, and that's enough.

Parrot Starts Harmonizing With Mom and People Can’t Stop Watching

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 11:20am

Thanks to the internet, there's a whole world of funny, cute, and entertaining pets who get to show off their dazzling personalities and massive talents. Gideon, the Parrot, is among the most elite of "must-see viral birds" with his comical vocabulary arsenal and gorgeous colors, and this time, everyone's going gaga for Gideon's harmonious tunes with Mom.

@the_green_bird_brigade

It wouldn’t be complete without the tongue 😂

♬ original sound - Jen Greenberg

As one of my favorite birds to ever exist, Gideon and his flair for the dramatic have my heart. Whether it's the perfect duet with his leading lady or the "wiiiings" pronunciation that's become my new stimming obsession, his Parrot talents are stellar. I have a feeling his hot new jam, “Giddy Goo,” will hit the top of the charts any day now, but to end with his epic tongue trick really makes it for me!

The adorable 6-year-old Eclectus Parrot is surrounded by a loving flock of bird siblings who, no doubt, look up to this musical king. I can feel his unbridled passion in everything he says, sings, and exudes.

Related: Parrot Spills Everyone's Secrets During Pretend Phone Call

Gideon and Mom have these little song sessions often, and since he's grown up in his forever home from 16 weeks old, he's had a lot of time to make sure each version is better than the last. There are more than a few reasons this funny boy and his flock are nearing the 1 million follower mark, and Gideon is more than happy for his 15 minutes!

@the_green_bird_brigade

His nicknames are Bubba, Bubs, and Giddy Goo 😊

♬ original sound - Jen Greenberg How Much Can Eclectus Parrots Retain?

As one of the more intelligent Parrot species, Eclectus Parrots, like Gideon, can retain quite a bit of information, including a large vocabulary, mimicry, routines, and complex sounds. Gentle, friendly, and affectionate, these birds are beloved for how well they pick up new words and phrases and repeat them with impeccable accuracy.

While Parrots of this kind require quite a bit of socialization and one-on-one time outside of their cages, they're like little toddlers soaking up every moment. You can tell by Gideon's beautiful harmony while singing with Mom that he's one really smart boy!

I can't wait to see what he picks up next, but I'm sure it'll include his most famous and precious "winnngs" for good measure!

Labrador Puppy and Orange Cat Match Energies Like Instant Best Friends

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 11:00am

While some people might think that cats and dogs can't get along, that couldn't be further from the truth. Lots of cats love dogs, and lots of dogs love cats! It's just a matter of getting them when they're young and making sure they're introduced correctly.

Case in point: this sweet Labrador Retriever puppy and his sweet uncle orange cat. They're a match made in heaven, and the cat is making sure to show his new little bestie all the ropes:

@woodrushworkinglabradors

Playtime!!❤️#viral #fyp #dog #cute #cat

♬ Be My Baby - The Ronettes

Woodrush Working Labradors are a sight to behold. The dogs are trained to perfection, and they're very sweet. Plus, if this video is any indication, they all come at least a little bit familiar with cats. That's a really good skill to have!

The orange cat is known to all of the puppies as Uncle Tristan, and he loves them all equally. He gets to spend as much time with the puppies as he wants, and he even gets to go outside and play with them. Tristan is truly living his best life!

Tristan runs the house, though. All of the dogs there, even the older ones, respect him. They know what he likes and doesn't like, and they won't push him. That's how he stays so happy, healthy, and handsome:

I bet that puppy feels so special. They got to give Tristan a kiss! It's the only thing that even comes close to playing with him.

Labrador Retrievers Are Great With Cats

Labrador Retrievers have been regarded as one of the best dog breeds ever, basically since the breed was invented. There is no "best dog breeds" list without the Labrador Retriever, and for good reason!

Labrador Retrievers are highly intelligent, trainable, and very eager to please. They were bred to be hunting companions, after all: they're excellent listeners. They're also outgoing and open-minded, and typically get along great with:

  • Strangers.
  • Other dogs.
  • Cats.
  • Kids.

It's all about the introduction: you have to set them up for success. Always make sure they have their own space and don't feel stressed; that's how you turn your Labrador into everybody's best friend. Uncle Tristan would help, too!

Cat Mom Proves Maine Coon Cats Are Basically the Size of Golden Retrievers

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 10:20am

There's big cat energy, and then there's the moment you realize the “cat” you’re looking at is basically dog-sized, and they're just quietly living among us like this is normal. That’s exactly what happens here, and it takes about half a second to do a full double take.

The setup is simple. A Maine Coon and a Golden Retriever stretched out side by side. But once you actually see them next to each other, the size comparison stops being a fun idea and starts feeling… a little unreal.

@thebreakfastpack

And he’s only a year old

♬ original sound - estwne

The TikToker from the account @thebreakfastpack shows a long, fluffy Maine Coon fully extended next to a Golden Retriever who is also stretched out. And somehow, they are basically the same length. Not close. Not kind of. Actually, the same.

Related: Maine Coon Waits Until I Sit Down, Then Treats Me Like a Sofa

People in the comments were not prepared. “I need you to know that I thought that was a blanket, not a cat,” one person wrote, which feels extremely valid because at that size, your brain just refuses to process it as a cat.

Another said, “I need my husband to understand that I want my dogs the size of ponies and my cats to be the size of large dogs,” which… same energy, honestly.

“My three Maines are amazing… big floofy kitties with pantalonessss,” someone added, which is both accurate and somehow still not enough to describe what's happening here.

And then, “They’re so fluffy and chill, they’re the best,” which feels like the calmest possible reaction to a kitty who could absolutely take up an entire couch.

Do Maine Coon Cats Really Act Like Dogs? @maxiecoon

Are Maine Coon Cats actually Dogs?🙀 The Truth ✨ If you hesitate to get a dog but want to, try a Maine Coon cat 😸 They are big and heavy like a medium sized dog and act like a dog 🐶 But they can also purr and meow and you don't need to walk them ✨ #mainecooncats #catfacts #didyouknow #lifewithcats #maxiecoon

♬ original sound - 🐱🖤Maxie & Foxie🧡🐱🇬🇧

Maine Coons are often described as having dog-like personalities, and for a lot of pet parents, that really is the case.

They tend to be social, curious, and very people-oriented pets. Many Maine Coons will follow their humans from room to room, stay close by, and want to be involved in whatever is happening.

Some even enjoy games like fetch or respond to their names in ways that feel more like dogs than typical cats. My Maine Coon, Meatball, absolutely plays fetch and will follow me around the house like a very fluffy shadow, which still feels slightly ridiculous given his size.

Of course, every kitty is different, but Maine Coons are known for being especially interactive and easygoing. Combine that personality with their large size, and it’s easy to see why people make the comparison.

Huge Wolfdog’s Trip to Lowe’s Has People Doing a Double Take

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 10:15am

If you’re a regular Lowe’s shopper, you’ve probably seen a few Labs, maybe a Pit Bull, or a Golden Retriever riding along in a cart. But a Wolfdog casually strolling the aisles? That’s not something you see every day.

For Preakness, though, it’s just part of the routine.

The striking Wolfdog, known for his size and outgoing personality, is a familiar face at the home improvement store. And it doesn’t take long to see why people stop and stare. Between his wolf-like appearance and calm, friendly demeanor, he turns an ordinary errand into something a lot more memorable.

You can watch him win hearts in this April 3 TikTok from @houseofbelmont:

There’s no question this well-mannered boy knows exactly how to handle the attention. The Lowe’s team greets him like a regular, and he happily returns the favor with a few kisses and plenty of tail wags.

He’s just as eager to meet new people, calmly making his way through the store while shoppers paused to say hello. And when it comes time for a treat, Preakness doesn’t miss a beat. He sits on cue and even adds a quick spin, clearly knowing it’s worth the extra reward.

Fans couldn’t get enough of him. Viewer @Scott shared, “Oh, my goodness... I would give all the pets,” wrote @Scott.

“Some people have all the luck!” @JennaRuth joked.

“He’s magic,” @Lilyneedsesther added. That’s the truth!

♬ original sound - Jellyfish Jams Daily Wolfdogs Require Training and Socialization to Thrive in Public Settings

Wolfdogs, which are a mix of domestic dogs and wolves, can vary widely in temperament depending on their genetics and upbringing. According to the American Kennel Club, like all dogs, they benefit from consistent training and early socialization to feel comfortable in busy environments.

Well-trained dogs accustomed to unfamiliar sights, sounds, and people are more likely to remain calm and confident in public spaces like stores, which helps explain how Preakness can move through a setting like Lowe’s with such ease.

Between his size, his personality, and how naturally he handles all the attention, Preakness turned a simple trip to Lowe’s into something people won’t soon forget.

Baby Meets German Shorthaired Pointer Puppy for First Time—and the Sound She Makes Is Total Magic

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 10:10am

Babies and puppies share some similarities — they're both adorable, curious, and find wonder in everything they discover. Put the two together and it's cuteness overload.

Kinslee was just a year old when she first met her German Shorthaired Pointer puppy Bandit and her reaction was pure joy.

@marissaaa_12

Kinslee's parents brought a big box into the room with a jacket loosely placed over the top. The baby girl was curious about what was inside.

"Kinslee, come take Daddy's jacket off," her mom said in the TikTok from @marissaaa_12, as the toddler lifted the coat off the box to see what it covered up.

As soon as she saw the adorable Pointer puppy, she squealed with excitement and repeatedly said "Hi!" to make sure he felt welcome. She gleefully followed him around the room, giving him intermittent, gentle pets as Bandit sniffed his new surroundings. Her joyful reaction lit up the entire room.

Followers applauded the sweet scene and were moved by the little girl's blissful response to her new puppy.

"Oh my goodness. Her little hi’s are so precious! Those two will be best of friends," one commented.

"That’s exactly how I act and sound when I see a dog and I’m 53," another joked.

"The most precious thing I've seen in a long time," a follower remarked.

"She is too cute and so is the puppy!" someeone noted.

How to Introduce a Baby and Puppy

A calm introduction can start your baby and puppy's relationship off on the right foot (or paw). Be sure to hold their initial meeting in a quiet and peaceful environment with plenty of space so no one feels crowded and there's room to roam.

Let your puppy sniff their surroundings to familiarize themselves with their new home. If your toddler gets overexcited, keep the first meeting brief. The same rule applies if the puppy becomes overly rambunctious. All interactions should be supervised.

Related: Golden Retriever Puppy Refusing to Sleep in Crate Brings the Cutest Toddler Energy

Model gentle petting and handling behavior of the puppy so your toddler can learn by example. Provide the puppy with their own space to decompress and relax. Baby gates are extremely helpful for keeping these two young ones separated when you can't be present.

Also, let your puppy sleep with one of your baby's blankets or clothing items so they become familiar with their scent.

Since babies and puppies are curious and unpredictable, forging their relationship takes a lot of time, patience, and supervision. But the results can be well worth the effort.

This Baby and 'Her' Orange Cat Share the Sweetest Bond and It’s Melting Hearts

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 9:55am

Whenever you bring a new family member into the fold, you hope that everyone welcomes them with open arms—or in this case, paws.

In a video that will melt your heart, we see a sweet Orange Cat befriend a baby, and it's too cute for words. Take a look at this clip from TikTok, and tell me if you don't squeal at how precious these two are together.

Viewers can't get enough of this either.

"Nothing makes me happier than to see a child being nice to an animal," one wrote.

"Absolutely precious," another said.

"How gentle they both are with each other," a third person noted.

That's what struck me, too. They really care for one another! We love to see that.

At one point, it sounds like the little girl even says, "Cat!"

How Cats Form Gentle Bonds With Babies

In the past, people often worried about letting cats near babies. There was an old myth that cats could smell milk on babies and would try to steal their breath.

Introducing a cat to a new baby slowly is a good way to establish the relationship. Also, make sure your kitty still feels important and receives plenty of TLC from you. Allow your kitty to get comfortable with the baby's scent by letting them sniff blankets or clothing first.

Sleeping Shoodle Puppy Turns Photoshoot Into Something Even Sweeter

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 9:01am

When I hear the words "puppy photo shoot," I envision an inherently adorable scene. But when that precious pup is fast asleep, like the one in this Instagram video, the cuteness factor of what transpires is off the charts. (It also makes me question every life decision that has led me away from pursuing a career as a puppy photographer.)

Daisy, the Shih Poo (aka Shoodle) and subject of this shoot, is already irresistible with her cuddly stuffed animal appearance. But after a solid session of puppy zoomies, she was ready for a long, hard nap that allowed the photographer to arrange her in various precious poses and dress her in a few painfully cute accessories (I can't with the party hat). It's the sweetest watch I've ever seen. Even the experienced photographer feels it; her caption reads "I have the best job."

View this post on Instagram

The comments are flooded with two types of people: those swooning over little Daisy ("This is without a doubt the most precious thing I’ve ever seen!"), and others who are in disbelief at how deeply asleep she is. Some referred to the photographer as a puppy whisperer, and after seeing her work her magic, I have to agree.

Why Puppies Like This Shoodle Fall Asleep So Easily

As adorable as it is, a puppy dozing off mid-activity isn’t all that surprising. Dogs naturally need a lot more sleep than humans—most average 12 to 16 hours a day, and puppies can clock even more. According to PetMD, "A great deal of brain and body development happens while pups are at rest, which means young puppies can sleep up to 20 hours per day during critical growth cycles."

Related: After Feeding Her Newborn Owlets, This Tired Mama Owl’s Face Says It All

All that rest plays an important role. Sleep helps puppies process new experiences, build strength, and recharge after bursts of energy—which is why they can go from playful to completely passed out in a matter of minutes.

So while it might look like this Shoodle simply couldn’t be bothered to stay awake for a photo shoot, chances are it just needed a quick reset before its next round of zoomies. In fact, if you're trying to capture your puppy's more peaceful moments, aim for after playtime or – even better – a meal. "With bellies full of food, they’ll be super sleepy, so as they start to drop off...keep your hands on them til they settle and slowly take your hands away as they fall into a deeper sleep," advises dog photographer Helen Rushton.

And as this sleepy puppy proves, sometimes the best photo you’ll get is the one they don’t even know they’re taking.

Cockatoo Showing Off His ‘Brain Capacity’ Leaves Everyone Laughing

Wed, 04/29/2026 - 9:00am

Cockatoos are very smart birds: they're about as smart as a human toddler. However, they're as goofy as a human toddler, too. There's never a dull moment with a Cockatoo, even when you might want a little peace.

One Cockatoo recently showed everyone on TikTok his incredible brain capacity, and it was a sight to behold. It was almost like watching a loading screen on your favorite video gamer, but a little more handsome:

@geckoemmy

A very scientific evaluation of the mental acuity of a cockatoo #cockatoos #funnyparrots #petbirds

Gecko Emmy conducted a very scientific, totally legit evaluation of her Cockatoo in this video. He crushed it! His name is Mr. Shelby, and everyone on TikTok turned into his lawyer after his mom stated that his brain capacity is exactly 1 single cell.

What she failed to mention is that he actually shares that brain cell with every other Cockatoo on the planet. They really only have three modes:

  • Dance
  • Scream
  • Snack time

Mr. Shelby goes through modes 1 and 2 in that video. If he had had a snack, it would have been totally perfect!

Related: Happy Cockatoo Goes 'Ball Crazy' With the Silliest Dance

He's definitely an adventurous eater, too. His mom offered him an icicle, and he was more than willing to try it:

I think he kind of liked it! He's definitely not as picky as his siblings!

Cockatoos Are Super Smart

Though they might not always act like it, Cockatoos are very intelligent birds! They're one of the smartest parrot species out there.

Cockatoos have about the mental capacity and vocabulary of a young child. They can mimic complex sounds and form nearly complete thoughts. They're also very trainable birds, and you can teach them a wide variety of tricks.

Even older Cockatoos can learn new things: with a 50-70 year lifespan, these birds are sharp as a tack for several decades! Mr. Shelby will catch up eventually!
