Everyone gets into arguments. It’s a universal experience people have when they disagree with each other. However, fights aren’t limited to humans. Two cats have been proving they’re not new to the drama.

In a popular video circulating on TikTok, two kitties start an argument first thing in the morning. These two are going back and forth with some very opinionated meows. Watching these two bicker is just priceless!

These two are so funny! The argument started when one cat called the other “a cow,” but these kitties kept going. We can hardly believe the passion in this fight!

People in the comments were very amused by this clip. Comments were rife with laughing emojis and jokes at the expense of these two cats. “This is hilarious,” said one person. “Cats are so ridiculous,” said another.

Other viewers imagined the cats were saying some bad words, such as one person who commented, “Allowing that foul language in the house that early?” Another viewer commented, “Where did he learn that kind of language?”

This epic fight was certainly entertaining!

How To Tell If Your Cats Are Playing or Really Fighting

For cat parents, it isn’t always easy to tell when your kitties are playing or actually fighting. Knowing and identifying the differences between playing and fighting will save you and your pets the stress of guessing. The key is to look at whether the interaction is quiet, mutual, and balanced.

When cats are playing, they aren’t usually too loud, though you might hear some soft panting and thudding. They will also take turns with one cat on top or chasing the other. Soft body language is a good indicator, too. With a kitty, their ears face forward and upright, and they may roll around and expose their belly. Paws may be flying, but claws will be retracted, and there may be some gentle nipping involved.

When it comes to fighting, cats will typically be vocal. You may hear intense hissing, growling, screaming, or high-pitched yowling. The body language of fighting cats usually involves arched backs, rigid bodies, and puffed-up tails. Their ears will also be pinned back or sideways, known as airplane ears. During fights, it’s rare that both kitties are going at each other equally. See if one seems constantly scared or trying to get away and keep an eye on whether there’s any real damage. Watch for the claws coming out and causing tufts of fur to fly around, and look for scratches or bites that produce blood.

How To Survive the Kitten ‘Chaos’ Phase

Kittens take a lot more time, energy, and patience than adult cats, but they’re so cute, you’ll hardly notice. To survive this chaotic kitten stage, there are a few things you can do to make it feel a little less wild.

To start, kitten-proof the home so all small items, wires, cables, fragile things, and toxic plants are out of reach. Create a daily routine and stick to it so the kittens know what’s expected and when.

Feeding and playtimes should be on a set schedule, and the goal for playtime should be to exhaust them. Waving a wand toy for 15 to 20 minutes before mealtime does wonders for getting out excess energy, while a good meal directly afterward helps regulate their natural cycle (bonus: They’ll want a good nap after).

Should your kitty have an affinity for nipping, redirect their tiny shark teeth toward a toy and away from your hands and feet. Likewise, don’t reward negative behavior like climbing things they shouldn’t, yelling for meals at dawn, or anything they shouldn’t be doing, and instead, reward them when they do something positive.

As for the chaotic Maine Coon kittens, they’re perfect and doing exactly what they’re supposed to be doing: causing trouble like it’s their job!

I don’t think I’ll ever get used to seeing dogs comfort each other when they somehow know one of them needs a little extra love. Mouse and Tammie’s story makes this tiny moment under a bed feel about a thousand times bigger.

Their human realized both rescued sisters had disappeared and went upstairs looking for them. Instead of finding trouble, she found the kind of scene that makes you immediately stop what you’re doing: both dogs tucked beneath the bed together.

Mouse sometimes retreats under there when she’s anxious or simply needs some quiet time. This time, Tammie apparently decided her sister shouldn’t have to take that break alone.

The video’s on-screen caption reveals what their human discovered: Tammie was gently licking Mouse’s scars.

Those scars carry an especially painful history. As their human explained in the post caption, Mouse and Tammie survived the dog meat trade in Vietnam and came frighteningly close to not making it out at all. Now they’re safe, loved, and apparently running their own tiny sister-support system beneath the furniture.

There’s something so tender about Tammie crawling into Mouse’s hiding place instead of trying to coax her out of it. She just joins her. Then come the little kisses right over her scars, as if she knows exactly where they belong.

• Pay attention to changes. An occasional quiet break is one thing. If your dog suddenly starts hiding much more often, seems distressed, or behaves differently, it’s worth checking in with your veterinarian.

The moment your dog is done with a snuffle mat, it’s important to pack it up and store it away from them. DeAngelis explains that super chewers will use anything at their disposal to chew, including a snuffle mat. Use the snuffle mat only during supervised play to ensure your pup never tries to chew or swallow something they aren’t supposed to.

3 Urgent Signs of a Bowel Obstruction (and When to Call the Vet)

If your dog has swallowed something they aren’t supposed to, you probably won’t notice until they release it during bathroom time. While the occasional item might pop up after a bit, there are potential times when a bowel obstruction may occur, and that can be very dangerous. If you aren’t sure if your dog has a bowel obstruction, there are a few signs that can point you in that direction so you can get them the medical help they need ASAP.

If your dog repeatedly tries to vomit without any luck, there may be something trapped in their system. Another sign is a belly that’s painful to touch, or a dog in the ‘praying pose’ with their front legs down and rear end up.

More extreme signs of a bowel obstruction include persistent vomiting, vomit containing blood or what looks like stool, bloody diarrhea, or two or more concerning symptoms at once. These signs merit immediate medical attention.

If you ever witness your dog swallow a small item, it’s best to visit the vet to avoid any potential dangers.

It may be frustrating as a pet parent to see your dog break a new toy immediately after unpacking it, but it’s important to note that it might not always be on purpose. Whether it’s because they’re bored or because they need an outlet for their energy, it’s almost always an accident. What Are the Different Yorkie Colors?

As the mom of a Yorkshire Terrier and now a Yorkiepoo, I always thought Yorkies only came in the classic tan and black, but boy was I wrong!

Black and tan is only one of the color options for these cuties. There’s also black and gold, blue and tan, and blue and gold.

The black and tan and black and gold colorations both typically transition as the dog matures.

And then there are the really rare Yorkie colorations, which are much more uncommon.

But somehow in this litter of six Yorkie pups, two of the puppies ended up with very rare coloring!

First, there is one merle Yorkie puppy in this litter, which means at least one parent has to carry the merle allele (M) for that marble pattern to come through on the coat.

And then, perhaps even rarer than their merle sibling, is the Golddust Yorkie puppy in this litter.

A Golddust Yorkie is the result of a Biewer Terrier and Yorkie breeding, according to Yyorkie.com.

The color occurs when the eumelanin pigment is turned off so only the pheomelanin can come through, which gives the dog a beautiful gold-white coat.

This video is from a Yorkie, Biewer, Poodle, and Maltese breeder page, so it makes sense that a litter could produce one of these Golddust Yorkies.

To get a Golddust Yorkie puppy, both parents have to also be Golddust pups, or both have to carry the recessive gold-white gene, which usually happens with dogs who are crossbreeds of Biewers and Yorkies.

Though these two Yorkie pups in the litter are quite rare, they are no more special than their less rare siblings, and all of them need homes!

More than 1,500 Beagles were recently rescued from Ridglan Farms, a Wisconsin breeding and research facility, earlier this year. Many of these precious pups are now in loving foster and forever homes, finally able to enjoy life for the very first time.

Bean the Beagle was saved after spending 2 1/2 years in a cage subjected to laboratory testing in a Wyoming facility. In the TikTok from @the_2_beagles, Bean stood with his head proudly lifted and released the most gentle little howl. This is probably an everyday occurrence for most dogs, but it’s extra special for Bean.

“They cut his vocal cords but he attempted to howl and did a great job!” the on-screen text raved.

Bean’s Beagle brother, Winston, witnessed the amazing accomplishment from the couch and provided emotional support. Bean excitedly jumped around as his mom joined in to encourage his efforts.

A previous Instagram post revealed that due to Bean’s cut cords, his barks come out more like raspy growls. The canine cutie is usually quiet, except when he plays with Winston.

Bean’s adorable howls were music to his mom’s ears, and followers cheered for the fur baby’s milestone:

Do Cats Really Judge Us? What Their Faces Mean

While Chuck’s annoyed expression is such a *mood*, cats don’t actually have the cognitive ability to disapprove of their humans. Moral judgment isn’t part of their intelligence, despite what their faces may say! What we perceive as “judgment” is usually a sign of physical discomfort, intense focus, stress, or sensory processing.

Their faces appear a certain way because of a lack of certain facial muscles that we (or even our dogs) use to express a “sad” face or “puppy dog eyes.” Though kitties are capable of making more than 300 distinct expressions, it takes a keen eye to analyze what each means.

They do communicate with minor, sometimes subtle, movements like a twitch of the whiskers or an unblinking stare. To determine what your cat might be feeling, pay attention to their body language.

If they’re relaxed, you’ll see slow blinking or partially closed eyes, and their ears might lean forward or to the side. An anxious or stressed-out kitty’s eyes will dilate while their ears will look flattened or turned outward and their mouth tight. Any feline in pain will have a more compressed face with ears lowered.

I’ve always had a soft spot for animal friendships that make absolutely no sense on paper. A lamb and a seagull becoming best friends at an English petting zoo might be one of my favorites yet.

The unlikely pair was spotted at Whitehouse Farm Centre in England, when visitor Mason Weddle noticed a seagull following one of the resident lambs around. He started filming, and somehow the scene kept getting cuter.

A resident lamb at an English petting zoo and a gate-crashing seagull appeared to be forming an unusual friendship, as the pair were caught on video hanging out together. Footage captured on August 12 by Mason Weddle shows the heartwarming moment a seagull took a seat on a lamb’s fluffy back at the Whitehouse Farm Centre. “I was filming the lamb when I noticed the seagull following him around and the two of them seemed completely fascinated with each other,” Weddle said. Weddle said that onlookers were thoroughly entertained by the unexpected companions, whom they decided to name Steve and Steven. “Everyone around me was laughing at the unusual little friendship, but they all agreed it was really cute too,” Weddle said. “I thought it was hilarious but also really heartwarming to watch. It was such an unexpected friendship, and seeing them so comfortable together made the moment feel really special.”

At first, the two are simply standing near each other like old friends catching up. Then the lamb settles down on the ground, and the seagull decides that relaxing sounds pretty good, too.

That’s when things get ridiculous.

The bird slowly wanders closer, studies the situation, and hops directly onto the lamb’s fluffy back. I expected at least a confused glance from the lamb. Nothing. Apparently, this arrangement is completely acceptable.

One comment joked that the gull had discovered “premium bedding,” and I can’t disagree. Why sit on dirt when there’s a warm wool mattress available?

Weddle said everyone nearby was laughing at the strange little friendship while also admitting how sweet it was. The crowd even started calling the pair Steve and Steven.

Naturally, the commenters took that information and ran with it. One viewer insisted everyone needed to know the bird was “Steven Seagull,” which may not be official, but I personally refuse to call him anything else now.

What gets me most is how comfortable they look together. There’s no big, dramatic introduction. No hesitation. Just a lamb lying down and his feathered buddy deciding that his back seems like a perfectly reasonable place to take a break.

Researchers are still learning why some animals bond across species, but play, curiosity, comfort, and repeated positive interactions can all help create surprisingly friendly relationships. The Smithsonian Magazine has highlighted research suggesting that interspecies play may even help animals build relationships and practice social skills.

If you’re lucky enough to watch two different species become friendly, you can keep things positive:

• Let them set the pace. Don’t force interaction just because the friendship looks adorable. Give both animals room to approach or leave whenever they want.

One feline looks quite souvenir-like in a viral video that shows an Orange Cat named Ryleigh. In the clip, this kitty is bobbing his head and stealing hearts at the same time. He looks like a bobblehead, and it’s too cute to ignore!

Now this is one bobblehead we would want to collect! The bobbing is caused by cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), which is a neurological disorder also known as wobbly cat syndrome. Luckily, it can’t get any worse, and it doesn’t cause any pain. Ryleigh has learned to live with it.

People in the comments were lightheartedly teasing Ryleigh for looking a bit clueless in the video. One person said, “He likes the sound of his last brain cell rolling around,” and another commented, “He’s just listening to his favorite song and vibing to it.”

Other people are head over heels for this kitty, such as one viewer who commented, “That is so freaking adorable. Bless that baby’s heart.” Another person said, “Give him extra snuggles for me. He is a doll baby!”

This condition isn’t holding Ryleigh back, and this quirk just makes him even cuter!

What Is Cerebellar Hypoplasia in Cats?

Cerebellar hypoplasia is a neurological disorder where the cerebellum—the part of the brain responsible for balance and coordination—is underdeveloped at birth. It causes the cats affected to have jerky movements, tremors, and an unsteady gait. Luckily, the disorder is nonprogressive, so it can’t get any worse, and it causes kitties no pain.

There are a few possible causes of cerebellar hypoplasia, but the most common is feline panleukopenia virus. This happens when a pregnant mother is infected with the virus, and it attacks the unborn kittens’ developing brains. Trauma and malnutrition during pregnancy can also be a cause of the condition in kittens. Luckily, it has become rare thanks to the vaccine against feline panleukopenia.

Cats with CH need a bit of help from their humans, and home modifications can make all the difference. Keep cats with this disorder away from stairs to avoid falls, and use nonslip rugs on smooth floors, so they have a better grip when walking. Litter boxes with low sides make it easier for them to get in and out, and elevated food and water bowls make eating easier, as they require less balance.

Most kitties with CH live totally normal and happy lives. This condition is completely manageable, and cats typically learn to compensate for their poor coordination as they grow up. Ryleigh is proof that cats with this condition are capable of living wonderful lives!

The TikTok from @sharing.lov3 told Sandy’s story and how she hasn’t had any adoption inquiries for over two months.

“Let’s meet the most overlooked dog at the shelter,” the on-line text read as Sandy stood in her kennel with a sweet look on her face. “She has been waiting for 72 days.”

The precious Pittie came to the shelter with her 8 puppies, all of whom were soon adopted. While Sandy was proud to see her fur babies join families, she was left all alone.

“She watched as every single puppy found a home,” the story continued. “She stayed behind, now on her own.”

The shelter staff member took Sandy outside to play, but the canine cutie just wanted to be held.

“She doesn’t want to play with toys,” the caption explained. “She doesn’t want to run around and explore. All she wanted to do was sit on my lap, be held, and spend every second of her time outside with me, getting loved.”

Sandy Needs a Home Soon

The mama dog is on the “urgent” list, which means she is at risk of euthanasia or severe kennel decline due to shelter overcrowding and stress. The team at Cobb County Animal Services is hoping someone sees what a special girl Sandy is.

“She is one of the sweetest dogs at the shelter,” the caption shared. “She’s incredibly gentle, such a good leash walker, and she absolutely loves seeing other dogs. Every time one walks by, she gets so excited. I truly believe she would likely be dog-friendly with the proper introduction.”
