Aldi's Adorable $20 Pet Find Turns Naptime Into a Glamping Retreat

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 6:32pm

It’s no secret that it’s a lot of fun to go camping. You get the whole family involved, you bring the dog along and head out for a nice little weekend spent enjoying the great outdoors. No matter how much you enjoy being outside, though, sometimes the camping experience needs a bit of a glow-up to make things a little more interesting.

That’s where Aldi is coming in this summer with an adorable pet essential that blends cozy camping vibes and everyday practicality. Introducing the Heart to Tail Glamping Pet Bed, a $20 pickup any dog or cat would be happy to claim as their own. Far more stylish than your average pet bed and a fraction of the price of similar designs, this stylish pet palace turns naptime into a little staycation at home.

Heart to Tail Glamping Pet Bed, $19.99 at Aldi Heart to Tail Glamping Pet Bed

Aldi

Hitting stores on Wednesday, June 3, the Heart to Tail Glamping Pet Bed is one of Aldi’s newest pet finds of the season, and one the retailer hasn’t shared too many details about just yet. And if we know anything about stylish and affordable Aldi finds like this one, a little bit of mystery only makes it more intriguing, so you’ll likely have to act fast if you’re planning on snagging one on release day.

As for the details that make this bed so intriguing in the first place, its whimsical teepee-inspired design is complemented by five wooden poles and an oxford cloth-like covering in an off-white shade. Each post comes together at the top, where they are fastened with an integrated cloth rope, while at the base, black anti-slip rubber feet help keep the bed secure during zoomies and unexpected flops.

Inside, a cozy donut-shaped pet bed takes up the entire surface area of the floor, complete with fluffy, high-quality padded walls and an extra grippy underside for added security. Also included are two wooden curtain tiebacks that fasten to the poles on either side of the bed’s entrance, allowing for either an open or closed-door look to coincide with your pet’s mood or sleep schedule.

Related: Target's $25 Couch Protector Is So 'Soft' and 'Cozy,' Pups Are Curling Right Up

What we aren’t entirely sure of is the bed’s official footprint, though we can make some guesses based on similar products. For starters, the average Aldi pet bed measures anywhere from 22 to 36 inches in length and width, which would make this bed roughly large enough for small to medium sized dog breeds and cats alike. As for its height, we’re going to err on the side of caution and guess anywhere from 23 to 25 inches tall.

While we can’t confirm it yet, there’s a good chance this bed also features detachable, machine-washable covers, as well as an easy-to-break-down design for maximum portability. Snag one for your pet and you can bring it on your next camping trip so they have a little private space of their own, or set one up at Grandma’s house so every visit feels even more like a special vacation.

Whatever you do, don’t miss out on a chance to bring the cozy glamping vibes home for your little furry friend. And in the meantime, while you wait for it to arrive, you ought to check out Aldi’s Collapsible Pet Pool too.

This Abandoned Dog Was Fighting to Survive — Then Rescuers Changed Everything

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 6:10pm

Niall Harbison deals with serious health issues in the street dogs he comes across through his Thailand animal rescue, Happy Doggo. Sometimes these canines have such extensive injuries or illnesses that they seem too far gone to recover, yet Harbison and his team always do everything in their power to help them survive.

Jimbo is a small white dog that Harbison found while on a jog and immediately sprang into action to save the precious pooch.

View this post on Instagram

The Instagram post from @niall.harbison told Jimbo's story, where the video showed the street dog "alone and close to death" as he suffered from a serious neck wound.

"He was completely broken, low on energy, and as soon as we saw his blood results, we knew that he was very close to the edge," the caption explained.

Harbison brought Jimbo to the rescue and got him immediate medical care. Exhausted from trying to stay alive amidst his declining health and no food or shelter, Jimbo finally let his body get the rest it needed.

"It was only after 24 hours of being in our hospital that Jimbo started to really go downhill as his little body relaxed away from the dangers of the street and from finding his own food," the story continued. "We see this all the time with dogs that have been running on adrenaline."

Jimbo Never Has to Live on the Streets Again

Jimbo never had a dog bed before, so the medical team literally carried him around in it everywhere they needed to bring him. With IV meds, nutrition, non-stop sleep, and lots of love and affection from Harbison and his team, Jimbo is already showing tremendous progress. And best of all, the canine cutie will eventually have a forever home.

"He still has a ways to go and he won’t be recovered for many weeks, but the future is bright for Jimbo," the caption shared. "We’ve already told him that he won’t be going back on the streets and that we’ll be finding him a home."

Related: Shelter Dog Ignores Treats and Toys Just to Soak Up Human Affection

The video concluded with Jimbo strolling on a leash with a smile on his face. The fearless fur baby is finally getting the love and care he deserves.

Harbison launched Happy Doggo in 2021. In addition to the sterilization and daily feeding of thousands of street dogs, he recently opened a full-service medical clinic in honor of his beloved Golden Retriever, Tina, and a retirement village for senior dogs.

Stray Cat Brings Her ‘Rainbow Kittens’ to Woman’s House for Dinner

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 6:00pm

Stray cats have babies all the time: it's a problem to the point that there are entire organizations devoted to spaying/neutering them. They can't get to them all, though, and there are stray kittens born every day.

Even though they don't have loving homes, a lot of them do have moms who really care for them, just as any cat would. Many of them care so much that they even bring all of their kittens back to their favorite food spots, like this one:

@kiera.elice

Mama Fuzz bought her kids to our door ok. This makes Litter 2 for her.. (1st litter she only had 2, its 5 of these lil bastards this time😩) We been trying to trap her for months to get her fixed but still grateful she trusts us with her kids 🥹 #straycatsoftiktok #straykitten #mamacat #babycat #straycat

♬ original sound - Aequorika

Kiera Elice has been looking after Mama Fuzz for at least 2 years now: this is her second litter. She apparently did the same thing with the last litter, though those kittens probably weren't quite as beautiful as these ones. There are three black ones and two grey Tabby ones.

People in the comments were very concerned about her, and rightfully so: continually producing stray cats is not good. Mama and all of those babies need to be spayed, quickly, but don't worry! They've got that covered.

Related: Woman Finds Feral Kittens That Look Just Like Cartoon Alleycats

Kiera says they've trapped Mama and the babies and are taking them all to the shelter! There, they'll be spayed, then weaned and adopted out after that. She looks like a real sweetie, too:

@kiera.elice

Replying to @HARDER.THAN.ME MamaFuzz has been reunited with her babies and they will all be going to the shelter this week. 😊 ATLANTA ‼️ If anyone wants a kitten please let me know, asap #kittenrescue #catrescue #straycatsoftiktok #tnr #fosterkittens

♬ original sound - Kiera Elice

She's slightly feral, but that's okay. She's not as skittish around humans as many other feral cats are, which is a bonus: with the right family, she'll really thrive!

How Do Stray Cats Bring Food to Their Kittens?

For the first several weeks of life, kittens are exclusively nursing. At about 3 weeks old, they begin the weaning process, which is usually finished by 8 weeks. For kittens in catteries, their moms have access to every tool for weaning.

Image via Shutterstock / Esin Deniz

Stray cats have a few options when it comes to finding food to help wean their kittens. Unfortunately, though, most of the options aren't great. They include:

  • Getting help from kind strangers.
  • Rummaging through the trash.
  • Hunting animals.

She brings them food in mouthfuls, almost like a baby bird situation. The kittens will learn to chew over the course of the next few weeks, and eventually, they'll strike out on their own. Luckily, these kittens will go to loving forever homes for the rest of their meals!

Siberian Husky Puppy Born With Rare Markings Has Everyone Completely Obsessed

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 5:48pm

Most Siberian Husky puppies arrive already looking like they belong on the cover of something. But Vita arrived with a little something extra—a marking on her face so perfectly placed that her owner calls it her "built-in glasses."

Her mom posted the photos on Reddit's r/husky, and people fell in love. It is easy to see why. The markings sit symmetrically around both eyes, creating the unmistakable look of a puppy who is ready for a nature documentary or possibly a very serious academic lecture.

🐶SIGN UP to get "pawsitivity" delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾

Vita's Photos Hit a Nerve, and Not Just Because She's Cute

The comments came fast, and they came from every direction.

One fan immediately recognized the look: "My boy did too! They were so cute, I called them his welder goggles!"

Then came a comment that stopped the scroll entirely in a different way. "Omg she looks like a doppelganger of my late husky at that age! She was the best dog I ever had! Vita is so adorable you are very lucky!"

That one landed. Because sometimes a photo of a puppy isn't just a photo of a puppy. Sometimes it pulls someone back to a dog they still miss, a face they thought they had forgotten. Vita's mom probably posted those photos expecting people to smile. She may not have expected to give someone that kind of moment.

And then, because this is the internet and someone always has to say the true thing: "Now she can see your commands but still ignore them."

Anyone who has ever owned a husky knows exactly how accurate that is.

Related: Lonely Siberian Husky Waiting in the Snow Gets the Sweetest Surprise

Why Do Huskies Get These Markings?

Siberian huskies carry an unusually wide set of pigmentation genes. At least 15 separate genes influence coat color and pattern in dogs, and huskies express more of that variation than most breeds.

The goggle or spectacle pattern, in which darker pigment rings both eyes symmetrically, is linked to interactions between the E and A loci, which together control how much dark pigment the body produces and exactly where it lands on the face.

What makes Vita's markings stand out isn't the pattern itself; it's how evenly matched both sides are, a placement determined during fetal development that is largely random, which is why a result this symmetrical is genuinely rare.

A Puppy That Was Always Going to Be Memorable

The name says it all: Vita, Latin for life. It suits her.

Huskies are known for being dramatic, expressive, and thoroughly convinced of their own importance. Vita arrived with her signature frames already in place, as if she had prepared for the role before she was even born.

Those glasses won't come off. And something tells you she would not want them to.

Baby Elephant and Mom Cuddle While Another Joyfully Dances In the Background

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 5:13pm

There are few bonds as deep as that between a mother and her baby, even in the wild animal kingdom. Mother Elephantsare especially protective of their calves, particularly considering the 22-month gestation period they invest in their young. Few things are as adorable to witness as a mother Elephant caring for her calf — except, perhaps, an Elephant dancing behind them.

Sound specific? When it comes to social media videos of Elephants, capturing these majestic animals and sharing them online helps fuel curiosity and education about these remarkable creatures.

A video shared to TikTok beautifully puts the bond between a mother Elephant and her baby on display. As the mother and calf walk together, the little one sweetly touches its trunk to its mother’s — the Elephant equivalent of holding hands.

@sofia_noelle

Replying to @Nik I mean if I had to guess, I’d say yes elephants find their babies cute #thailand

♬ A Summer Place - Hollywood Strings Orchestra

Young Elephants often touch their trunks to their mothers’ as a way to soothe, bond and connect. Physical contact with their mothers can help young Elephants feel safe and secure while also helping them stay connected to the herd.

In the video, another Elephant appears to be dancing behind the mother-and-baby duo. While the video’s music track is perfectly synced to make it seem like the third Elephant is dancing, there may actually be something else happening.

Why Do Elephants Sway Back and Forth Like They’re Dancing @sofia_noelle

so much better to see animals in their natural habitats rather than in a zoo🫶🏼 #thailand

♬ awww so cute - Cherri ⁉️

Elephants often sway back and forth, which can appear as though they’re dancing, as a way of soothing themselves. The gentle rocking motion can sometimes be a physical manifestation of stress or even boredom.

These gentle giants may also sway back and forth when anticipating a routine event. Elephants sometimes weave or sway before feeding time or before a gate is opened.

Still, whether this Elephant is dancing or weaving, its moves are sparking major social media chatter.

“that other one just dancing in the background,” observed one commenter.

Another added, “the one in the back is just vibiinnn.”

“What’s that one in the back vibing to?” asked another.

While what’s on this Elephant’s Spotify playlist remains a mystery, one thing is clear: the only thing sweeter then watching a mother Elephant and her baby touch trunks while taking a walk is another Elephant dancing behind them.

Ragdoll Cat ‘Plays With the Baby’ Like the Best Big Brother

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 2:00pm

Bringing home a new baby to your pets is difficult; there are no two ways about that. You have no idea what's going to happen when you finally let them meet. Is the baby going to hate your pet? Is your pet going to hate the baby? Which is worse?

The start of it all will be a little rocky most of the time. As they age, however, things will often get easier! That's exactly how it was with one Ragdoll cat, who became total best friends with his baby brother. Now, they make excellent playmates:

@herandthecats

If you’ve been here a while, you might recognize the second clip from the day we brought our daughter home from the hospital 🤍 What still amazes me is that BamBam was originally surrendered by a family with a young child because they felt he wasn’t good with kids. Meanwhile, from the moment ours arrived, he’s been nothing but gentle, patient, and loving with them — even when they’re a little less gentle back 😅 Maybe it helped that he’s known them since the very beginning. whatever the reason, watching their bond grow has been one of the sweetest parts of having him in our family. #catsoftiktok #catsandkids #viralvideo #himalayancat #petsoftiktok

♬ original sound - 𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥

BamBam the Ragdoll is so sweet, so loved, and so special. He was actually a rescue: his previous family had a baby, and the two of them weren't getting along, so they surrendered him. Luckily, Krista knew she wanted him immediately!

They actually rejected her application a few times, but ultimately ended up calling her back and letting him go to her home! He's thriving there, even though they have another cat and a baby. It took a lot of time and some extreme patience, but they managed.

Related: Ragdoll Kitten Treats a Balloon Like Her Greatest Enemy

These days, BamBam is the baby's favorite cat. When he arrived at his forever home, his mom was pregnant, so he's been around every step of the way. When they're not playing, they're having storytime, which he loves:

@herandthecats

When we adopted BamBam, the shelter told us he’d probably do best in a home without kids or other pets. And honestly, shelters are doing their best with the information they have in stressful environments. But sometimes animals are completely different once they finally feel safe enough to be themselves. BamBam loves kids—he was just misunderstood. 🥹 #rescuecat #adoptdontshop #catmeetsbaby

BamBam has the bedtime routine down pat. Without him, I bet it would take a lot more time, so I hope his parents are grateful to him!

Helping Cats and Babies Get Along

If you have a cat and you have a baby, making sure that they can at least tolerate each other is the most important thing. If they don't get along, a lot of people end up surrendering their cat, and it's just heartbreaking.

Image via Shutterstock / Yero87

Helping a cat and a baby get along starts immediately after they're born, and in many cases, even before. Cats may show interest when you're pregnant, too! Once the baby is born:

  • Introduce them in small bursts.
  • Always keep hold of both.
  • Never let the cat approach the baby unsupervised.
  • Let them leave when they start looking uncomfortable.

Never force the two to interact, and as soon as your baby is able, make sure you begin teaching them boundaries so they don't accidentally hurt your cat, which could lead to them getting hurt. Luckily, BamBam is the best big brother ever!

When the summer sun drives temperatures up, humans reach for ice cream, but our dogs need options suitable for their digestive systems. The good news is that they can now have their own.

You can find Purina's Frosty Paws Peanut Butter Frozen Dog Treats in the freezer aisle at Target right now. With the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration forecasting above-average temperatures across most of the country this summer, it might be time to consider stashing a few cups at home.

Stock Up Before the Heat Arrives

Experienced shoppers know that seasonal pet finds rarely stay around for long. Even less when the price is right.

So, before the summer heat arrives, these affordable cooling products are a great find at Target. Get them before they vanish.

A cold treat on a hot summer afternoon might not solve everything, but for your panting dog stretched across the kitchen floor, it feels pretty close.

Pet Parents Are Already Stashing

Dogs cannot sweat the way humans do, so they have to rely on panting to regulate their body temperature. It works well in mild conditions, but its effectiveness declines on extremely hot or humid days.

Looking at the reviews from pet parents, you know these will vanish fast. One said, "Our two doodles love their bedtime ice-cream treat!" Another wrote, "I was skeptical, but my puppy loved them. Now she waits for them every night after dinner."

If you want your dog to come running the moment they hear the freezer open, it is time to check these treats at Target. Right as the temperatures surge heading into the summer, you will be ready to spoil your dog.

These Dogs Have a Bedroom Nicer Than Most Humans'—Complete With Bunk Beds, PJs, and a Ball Pit

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 1:01pm

Some dogs sleep on the couch and other dogs sleep in their parents bed like mine. Bauer, Maverick, Blue, and Titan have their very own bedroom complete with bunk beds, matching pajamas, wardrobes, a television and a very niched but exceedingly fun ball pit. These cuties are living their best lives.

The TikTok from @imbluethesiberiann shows what happens when you are determined that your four dogs deserve their own space—and then design it better than most college apartments.

"Bedtime," the video starts and then, complete and joyful chaos.

@imbluethesiberiann

I’m tempted to sleep in there too now 😂 #dogsoftiktok #dogs #goldenretriever #husky #dogs

♬ Vale do Amanhecer - Oriental AsiaVision

The dogs don't know which room is theirs now. Bauer won't put down his emotional support bowl. Blue makes a beeline for the ball pit. Maverick causes problems (naturally). And their human is trying to wrangle everyone into pajamas while insisting yes, construction is done, no more building, time for bed.

The caption says what we’re all thinking: "I'm tempted to sleep in there too now 😂"

Same.

What These Dogs Actually Have

Custom bunk beds. Not beds on the floor. Actual elevated bunks so all four can spread out and sleep at different levels. Each bunk was built specifically for each pup—complete with personalized name placards.

They’ve got everything needed for the perfect Moriarty family sleepover.

Matching pajamas. Bedtime means getting dressed up cozy, not undressed. Coordinated PJs for everyone in the family. Bauer needs help with his. It's completely ridiculous and absolutely adorable.

Related: Anxious Dogs Are Responding to One Surprising Sound—Studies Show It Works in Minutes

A ball pit is Blue's favorite part of the room. An entire section just filled with colorful balls for playing or napping.

They have their own room. Not a corner of the living room with a kennel filled with a couple comfy blankets. No, an entire bedroom sanctuary of their own. Canines only.

The video captures the genuine chaos of actually getting four dogs settled in for the night: Redirecting them to the right room. Convincing Bauer to drop the bowl long enough to put on his PJs. Making sure nobody shreds their new PJs. Just normal bedtime negotiations.

The comments say exactly what we’re all thinking:

"My dogs asked why we are poor.” Mine too, buddy. Mine too.

"When I say I want to be rich it's because I want to do stuff like this."

"When people say dogs aren't children. Excuse me, then what's this?"

"You've inspired me. Looks like the office is getting upgraded into a bedtime oasis for my 3 French babies."

Why This Resonates

Most people watching the video aren't thinking "that's too much." They're thinking "OMG, I want to do this. My babies deserve this too!" I know I was. I still am.

Because of course, they do! Dogs give us everything and more: complete and unconditional love , constant companionship and joy on hard days. They don't judge our shortcomings or mistakes. They just love us.

So when we can give them something back in return—whether it's an over-the-top, luxury bedroom oasis or just a pup cup—we jump at it. Making our dogs happy is what makes us happy.

Is this over the top? Maybe it is a little extra but it's also creative and joyful. A reminder that loving our pets can look however we want.

Some people travel. Some collect art. Some build bedrooms with bunk beds for their dogs and tuck them in wearing matching pjs.

All of it, absolutely valid.

The video ends with everyone finally settled for the night. Bauer kept his bowl. Blue's hit the ball pit and everyone's wearing their favorite PJs. It took a lot of work, but they made it happen.

And now every single dog parent watching is eyeballing their spare room, wondering… how many dogs can fit and what color should we paint it?

This Handy DIY Dog Water Station Is Winning Over Pet Parents Fast

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 12:48pm

A wood log, a plastic bowl, some aluminum foil, and a bag of ice. That's the whole list. One dog owner threw these together into a backyard water station for his dog, posted it, and now pet parents everywhere are quietly adding it to their weekend plans.

It's one of those ideas that makes you wonder why you didn't think of it first.

The timing isn't bad either. Forecasters are pointing to another punishing summer across much of the country, with above-average heat expected through June and July across the South, Southwest, and East Coast. For dogs, that's not just uncomfortable territory. It can get serious and fast.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ckwnhvfBOZs

Why a Wood Log and Foil Is Smarter Than It Looks

In the video posted by Speedy Crafts, we see someone carve out space in the log, drop a plastic bowl in, wrap the outside in aluminum foil, and pack ice into the water. Rustic-looking, yes. But the physics behind it is actually solid.

Foil reflects heat rather than absorbing it, which is the same reason emergency blankets work. A regular metal bowl sitting in the afternoon sun gets hot enough that a dog will skip it even when they're thirsty. Elevating the bowl off the ground helps, too, since ground temperatures run higher than air temperatures on a hot day. The ice handles the rest.

Here's the part worth knowing: dogs don't just prefer cold water; they drink significantly more of it when it's cold than when it's warm. On a hot afternoon, that difference matters.

Related: 277 Dogs Just Made History at the World's Largest Pool Party in Miami—and It's Too Cute for Words

Your Dog and Summer Heat are Not a Good Combination

That dog who pulled you down the trail for an hour in April? Come July, ten minutes outside might be enough. Dogs cool down through panting and through tiny sweat glands in their paw pads. It's not a great system under heat and humidity, and certain dogs have it even worse.

Double-coated breeds trap heat. Large breeds generate more of it. French bulldogs, pugs and American bulldogs have shortened airways, which means panting is already harder for them before the temperature even becomes a factor.

Watch for heavy drooling, glazed eyes, stumbling, or panting that sounds labored rather than normal. A dog that looked fine an hour ago can be in real trouble by the time those signs appear. Shade and cold water aren't luxury items in July. They're the basics.

Build it Once, Use It All Summer

A shaded spot is better than open sun, even with the foil. Top up the ice midday when it gets hottest. Use a heavier log or a wider bowl if your dog is the type to send things flying.

One afternoon of work, then it just sits there. Your dog will find it on their own soon enough.

They can't tell you when they're overheating. This is the kind of thing that speaks for them.

Otters Throw a Pre-Sunrise Party at State Park and It’s the Most Adorable Rager

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 12:24pm

If you’ve ever attended a party that lasted until the wee hours of the morning, you may remember seeing the sun come up as you were finally heading home. Not that I would know anything about that, of course.

But for a group of Otters at Chapman State Park in Pennsylvania, the fun apparently starts before sunrise. These little party animals were caught jumping, bouncing, flipping, and having the time of their lives, while most campers were probably still fast asleep.

Pennsylvania DCNR shared the trail cam moment with the perfect caption: “Our sincerest apologies to anyone camping at Chapman State Park recently. We keep telling the otters to stop the pre-sunrise ragers, but they just jump around and charm their way out of trouble every time.”

You can see the moment that’s sure to lift your mood in this May 22 Instagram from @padcnr:

View this post on Instagram

If you were lucky enough to grow up during a time when bonfires in the woods were pretty common, you probably remember hearing “Jump Around” at least once or twice before the night was over. These otters completely captured that energy.

Their little front-and-back hops are almost too cute to handle. Add in those glowing eyes as they look toward the camera, and the whole thing goes from funny to absolutely irresistible.

Fans couldn’t get enough of the tiny pre-sunrise rave. Viewer @fooddreamer wrote, “Kudos to the person who put this footage to "Jump Around". Best thing I’ve had on my feed in months.” That feels accurate.

Another viewer, @shuffyla, had one very important question: “Hi, where do I sign up for the next Otter Rave?”

And @peacesurroundu pointed out, “Thinking I would be more effective if I started the day like this.” Same here.

Chapman State Park’s Otters Know How to Put on a Show

Pennsylvania is home to North American River Otters, and they have a reputation for being curious, active, and playful. This also isn’t the first time Chapman State Park’s otters have gone viral. Pennsylvania DCNR previously shared another trail cam clip showing them playing in the snow like kids on a snow day.

You can see that moment here:

View this post on Instagram

Otters may be skilled swimmers and hunters, but moments like this are a sweet reminder that wildlife cameras often catch more than movement through the woods. Sometimes they capture pure joy.

These Chapman State Park otters may owe a few campers an apology, but it’s hard to stay mad at a crew this cute. If starting the day by jumping around is wrong, they clearly have no interest in being right.

This Ultra-Rare Kitten’s ‘Spotted Hyena’ Coat Comes With a $20k Price Tag

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 11:20am

There are hundreds of recognized cat breeds in the world, but only a select few come with a hefty price tag. Determining factors include the level of rarity and whether they have a unique appearance, like a spotted coat that has the look of soft and fluffy luxury!

When a kitty comes along that checks both of those boxes, you can expect to pay a pretty penny for their esteemed company. One rare cat breed has all of this, and to adopt him, you're going to need a small loan!

View this post on Instagram

Comparable to the looks of a mini tiger or some type of rare, spotted cat in Africa, this F1 Savannah kitten is a real stud! With such unique and distinct features like those huge FernGully ears, there's no way you could confuse him with a regular Tabby cat.

Related: Rare Powder Puff Maine Coon With 'Ghost Eye' Looks Like 2 Cats in 1

When shelling out a whopping $20k, it's important to do your research. Make sure the cat comes from a reputable breeder and that your state allows you to adopt these wild cuties. And be sure you're ready for how huge these babies get—they're the size of human toddlers!

View this post on Instagram Why F1 Savannah Cats Cost So Much

With a $15,000 to $20,000 price tag, Savannah cats aren't in everyone's budget. The high cost is due to their generation level, with F1 being half African Serval and half domestic cat—an impressive blend of wild and domestic felines.

Breeding two very different cat breeds is difficult, costly, and not even legal in every state, which contributes to their rarity. Females can go for more because of their ability to birth kittens, and all F1 to F4 males are sterile. Kittens with the exotic look like their Serval parent—such as those huge ears, "hyena" spots, and recognizable nose—can also go for a lot of money.

The higher the generation rank, the less they'll likely cost, but also there's less African Serval in their direct bloodline. For instance, an F2 Savannah cat has a Serval grandparent and an F3 has a Serval great-grandparent, making them more domestic than wild (and generally more adaptable like regular domestic kitties).

That said, if you have an extra $20k lying around and can swing the adoption fees for such cool cats, lucky you!

Munchkin Persian Cat Has the Funniest Reaction to a Pillow That Looks Just Like Her

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 10:10am

Every pet has their own special personality, complete with adorable idiosyncrasies and attributes that make each one unique. They convey a range of emotions through their facial expressions and verbal responses, which can be quite humorous and attention-grabbing.

Bug the Munchkin Persian cat recently caught sight of a pillow that resembled her and her reaction spoke volumes.

@bug.the.munchkin

My friend got me a pillow of my cat. My cat HATED it😂 #cat #cats #catsoftiktok #catlovers #funnycat

♬ original sound - bug.the.munchkin

In the TikTok from @bug.the.munchkin, the pretty kitty got a glimpse of the lookalike pillow and immediately took an odd stance. Munchkin stood completely upright on her hind legs, almost like a prehistoric dinosaur. Her ears went back as she stared down the inanimate object, utterly gobsmacked at the mirroring image.

Then the Munchkin cat got vocal. She meowed her protests in no uncertain terms, loudly voicing her complaints. As her mom giggled at the reaction, Bug got down on all fours in a sort of stealth mode as the hair on her back went spikey.

Despite her mom's reassurances, Bug stayed in an on-guard pose and contemplated walking away or sticking around to make sure the pillow was placed elsewhere.

Followers found Bug's response hilarious and pointed out that she morphed into something other than a cat.

"I think she's cosplaying as a T-Rex," one remarked.

"She poses like a medieval cat painting," another noted.

"Mam, your kangaroo is meowing," a follower commented.

"Your otter is the prettiest dolphin seal cat I've ever seen in my life," someone joked.

"Literally took the shape of the pillow," a fan posted.

Munchkin Persian Cats Are Full of Personality

As Bug so beautifully demonstrated, Munchkin Persian cats have an animated and playful demeanor. They are very curious, social, and extremely affectionate. These feline fur babies are also gentle and love to snuggle, while also enjoying games and rigorous zoomies.

Munchkin Persian cats thrive when they get at least 10 to 15 minutes of daily interactive play, along with a predictable routine and calm bonding time.

And maybe it's best to avoid having any doppelgänger objects around the house.

Two Dogs Meet a Porcupine and the Second One Immediately Regrets Everything

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 9:55am

The first dog in this video honestly doesn’t seem THAT bad.

A few porcupine quills in the face?

Unfortunate. Concerning. Mildly upsetting.

Then the camera pans to the second dog, and suddenly, the entire internet collectively experiences psychological damage.

@marquisegoodwin_

Bruh 🤦🏿‍♂️ these dogs

♬ original sound - Marquise Goodwin

Shared by TikTok user @marquisegoodwin_, the chaotic clip shows two dogs after an extremely poor decision involving a porcupine.

The first dog, an American Bully-type pup, appears with a handful of quills stuck around his face.

And then comes his Black Labrador mix brother.

Related: Papillon With Major Static Cling Is Giving Full Porcupine Energy

Honestly? He looks less like a dog and more like somebody accidentally summoned a Marvel villain directly from the woods.

The poor guy is COVERED in quills.

At Different Moments in the Clip:

• The first dog appears mildly unfortunate.
• Everyone thinks, “OK, this is bad.”
• The camera pans to the second pup.
• Immediate emotional collapse occurs.
• The Labrador mix somehow resembles both Pinhead from Hellraiser and Venom simultaneously.

People in the Comments Were Absolutely Horrified:

• “This breaks my heart, OMG.”
• “This absolutely terrifies me.”
• “This makes me feel very uncomfortable.”
• “I was a little worried, and then I saw the second dog, and OMG.”
• “Deada*s thought the second dog WAS the porcupine.”

Honestly, that last comment is brutally accurate because there are SO many quills sticking out of this poor pup that your brain temporarily stops processing what you’re looking at.

One former vet tech admitted:

“Porcupine quills were SO satisfying to remove, lol.”

Which honestly feels like information only veterinary professionals are emotionally prepared to say out loud.

Another commenter pointed out something that feels universally true:

“I’ve never really seen a porcupine, but somehow dogs always find them.”

And honestly? Dogs really do act as if every dangerous woodland creature was personally placed on earth for investigative purposes.

Why Do Dogs Keep Getting Quilled by Porcupines? @weo1909204

dog,vet,equine,#training

♬ original sound - weo1909204

Dogs are naturally curious animals and often approach porcupines too closely while sniffing, chasing, or investigating them.

Porcupines cannot “shoot” quills, but the quills detach easily when touched.

Veterinarians Warn That Quills Can:

• Embed deeply into the skin
• Cause infections
• Move farther into tissue over time
• Become dangerous near the eyes or the mouth

Dogs with quill injuries should be treated quickly by a veterinarian to safely remove the quills and to prevent complications.

And thankfully, despite looking like a tiny woodland horror movie character, the second dog in this video did ultimately receive help.

3-Legged Dachshund Hops for Mom and Steals Hearts Instantly

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 9:20am

Some of the best teachers on adversity and grit are right in front of us pet parents—if we're paying attention. No matter what life throws their way, they're almost always the happiest, sweetest, most grateful souls around, just thrilled for another day with us.

Henry, the three-legged Dachshund, has been a fighter since birth, and despite the challenges and setbacks of living with one less limb, he never misses the opportunity to show his new mom "thank you for saving me."

@henrythe3leggedweenie

Even though he can’t wag his tail anymore, we are so thankful we get to see him excited every day still ❤️

♬ soft hearts - your warm arms

The post shared by @henrythe3leggedweenie is a response to naysayers who say he can't possibly be happy with just three legs. Well, he's here to show all the haters that he's not only happy, but he's excited each and every day he has the chance to be loved and cared for. Those excited little hops prove he's never been better!

If you're new to this cutie, Henry was born with a malformation in his front leg via a breeder. Fate stepped in and put his new mom in his path, and now, the sweet little Dachshund has found his forever home.

Despite a long journey filled with many medical challenges—like walking with three legs—he very quickly found his footing and now runs and plays like any other pooch. Now that's the power of love!

Related: Clever Little Dachshund Invents Way To Play Fetch by Himself, Without Human Help

Aside from missing a leg, a 2025 spinal cord injury called IVDD (stage 5) caused this angel boy to become paralyzed from the waist down, leaving him with just one mobile limb, and even that isn't enough to slow him down.

He's got a cool set of wheels to get around, but it's his mom's devotion that deserves the spotlight. She's the backbone of the special morning routines that Henry's come to rely on, and why he's such a happy pup.

@henrythe3leggedweenie

He was so tiny 😭🥹 #dachshund #dachshundsoftiktok #minidachshund #miniaturedachshund #disableddog

♬ suara asli - ˢᵃᵈⁿᵉˢˢ - ˢᵃᵈⁿᵉˢˢ What Is IVDD and How Do Dogs Get It?

Henry is the very epitome of fighting through adversity. His IVDD (intervertebral disc disease) journey hasn't been easy. This condition happens when cushioning discs between vertebrae bulge or burst into the spinal cord. It causes nerve damage, intense pain, and in some dogs, like Henry, paralysis.

The five stages of IVDD range from mild pain to complete paralysis. Stages 1 to 2 can usually be treated with rest and meds, but stages 3 to 5 require immediate intervention, as in Henry’s case. IVDD is common in dogs with long, low-to-the-ground bodies (Dachshunds, Corgis, and Basset Hounds, to name a few).

Any dog parent who notices they're reluctant to move, they're shivering, staggering, or have a hunched back when they walk should get to the vet ASAP to prevent further damage and pain.

Henry may be a pet with special needs, but that won't stop him from living his best life, and those happy hops are everything!

Bernedoodle Meets His Tiny Sheepadoodle Brother—and His Reaction Is Pure Sweetness

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 8:28am

Meet the newest sibling duo taking over the internet — one giant Bernedoodle, one tiny Sheepadoodle puppy, and a first meeting (and names) so sweet it should come with a warning label. Spoiler: the big guy is absolutely perfect about it.

According to a video posted by his humans, Crumble is absolutely smitten with his little bro Custard the moment the two are introduced. The gentle Berne sniffs and circles the new bundle of fluff, his excited tail wagging the entire time, while their parents carefully supervise the precious meet-cute. It's an unforgettable moment that has viewers (ok, me) overcome.

View this post on Instagram

"I wasn’t emotionally prepared for this," confesses one fan.

"It’s too early for this crying," says another.

"Sobbing!" is all a third viewer can add.

And if this isn't enough sweetness for you, another video on their account is further proof that these brothers are the cutest canine besties on Instagram.

View this post on Instagram The Surprising Benefits of Getting Your Dog a Sibling

While not all pups bond so quickly, Crumble and Custard are prime examples of how giving your dog a sibling could be the best thing for them. Dogs are pack animals at their core — companionship isn't just nice for them, it's genuinely wired into their DNA. Which means that for the right dog, a sibling isn't just a bonus, it's a big deal.

The benefits are real. A built-in buddy means less boredom, less anxiety when you're away, and a play partner who actually matches their energy and speaks their language. For shy or nervous dogs, especially, a confident sibling can be quietly life-changing — sometimes all it takes is watching another dog navigate the world to help them find their own footing.

That said, it's not the right move for every household or every dog. If your pup struggles with resource guarding, aggression, or high anxiety, a second dog may add stress rather than ease it. A senior dog who values peace and quiet may not thank you for a bouncy new puppy. And practically speaking, double the dog means double the vet bills, double the food, and yes, double the muddy paw prints. Worth it for many people, but worth thinking through honestly first.

How to Help Your Dogs Get Off on the Right Paw

A smooth introduction like that of Crumble and Custard doesn't just happen on its own — a little planning upfront can make all the difference.

Experts recommend starting on neutral ground, if possible. A quiet park or green space works perfectly — somewhere that isn't your current dog's established territory. Let them approach on loose leashes, and give them time to do their thing. Circling and sniffing are completely normal. Watch body language closely: stiff posture, a tucked tail, or growling are signs to gently redirect them rather than scold.

Once they're comfortable, bring them home together and keep things simple at first. Put your current dog's favorite toys away temporarily, make sure there are enough beds and bowls that nobody feels like they're competing, and feed them separately. Supervise playtime and keep them apart when you're not home until you have a real feel for their dynamic.

Maine Coon Cat Mama’s ‘Angel-Colored’ Kittens Are Truly Divine

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 8:00am

Maine Coon kittens are all little angels, even though most of them are evil. They're just so cute that it's almost entirely impossible to stay mad at them, though they love to test that as much as they possibly can.

For one Maine Coon, it's extra hard for her kittens to get in trouble. When they were born, they were literally the color of little angels, and everyone is totally in love with them:

@mossycottagemainecoons

I am so incredibly proud of this momma. 🥹🫶🏻 A large litter is no easy task. Chai has been working around the clock nursing, cleaning butts, and finding little moments to rest and eat up all of the wet food she can! #mainecoonkittens #kittensoftiktok #kittenseason #mainecooncats #bigcatsoftiktok

The Mossy Cottage Maine Coons are all so beautiful, but there's something so simple and elegant about those kittens! They're a very creamy white color, like the exact shade of the angel Christmas tree topper grandmas everywhere used to keep in their garages.

This is a large litter, too: one of the largest the cattery has ever had! There are 7 kittens, and they're known in the cattery as the Coffehouse litter. Their parents are Chai Latte (mom) and Buckeye Bourbon (dad). There are 5 girls and 2 boys!

They've chosen unofficial names for them all: the names are how they'll differentiate them while they're in the cattery. Once they move onto their forever homes, their families are welcome to choose whatever name they'd like, but I really think they all fit so well:

When Do Cats Learn Their Names?

It's not uncommon for catteries to give their kittens "holding" names for while they're still with their mothers. It makes things logistically easier, but it can be a little worrisome; if a kitten learns that name, will they be able to learn another when they get home?

Image via Shutterstock / Nadia Cruzova

Typically, it takes a kitten about 2 weeks to learn their name, assuming that you do it the right way. However, they can also relearn another name later on, as long as you:

  • Build positive association: call their name and give a treat when they come.
  • Stay consistent: no nicknames at first.
  • Use the same tone of voice at first, but start branching out so they get used to hearing their name in different contexts.

Even once your cat learns their name, they'll learn their nicknames just as easily. It's awesome, just like these adorable, angel-colored kittens!

Shelter Dog Found As Stray 6 Years After Adoption Has Sweetest Reaction to New Collar and Necklace

Wed, 05/27/2026 - 7:10am

Sometimes dogs are returned to shelters after adoption for a variety of reasons including relocation, health issues, or financial difficulties. The transition of going from a home back to a shelter can be traumatizing and confusing for a dog, where they need lots of comfort and support to feel safe again.

Bella the Pit Bull mix was adopted from the Maui Humane Society six years ago. The precious 9-year-old pooch was recently discovered on the streets as a stray and is now back at the shelter, scared and heartbroken. A staff member decided to brighten Bella's day with a zhush for her kennel and a little fashion fun.

@cassondrachristman

Imagine Bella’s terror realizing she was back at the shelter 6 years later. Now as a senior, 9 years old, she’s back to waiting. It’s been four months and she hasn’t had a single meet and greet. Bella is potty trained, does fabulous being left home alone while her people are at work, she has a playful spirit at home loving to play with her toys and give kisses to her people. She loves sleeping with her humans, getting belly and chest scratches too! Bella has liked mellow dogs best, who won’t initiate play and can respect her space, she does need to meet any dogs in the home first, so for other Hawaiian island adoptions and mainland US adoptions she’ll need to be the only dog. Bella does not like cats. She’s a bit of a homebody and loves to relax at home, she is startled by loud noises out and about and working on enjoying car rides. This sweet full of life girl just needs a home to spend her golden years! Someone ready to watch her flourish and really show them what a loyal sweet girl she is 🩷 She’s waiting at Maui humane society #fyp #seniordog #maui #hawaiitiktok #shelterdog

♬ original sound - cassondra christman

In the TikTok from @cassondrachristman, Bella was lying on her bed when the shelter staff member came in with a bunch of goodies.

"Today senior Bella waited the whole day for someone to choose her," the onscreen text explained. "So I went on in to remodel her room and glam her up in hopes that she might get her first meet-and-greet."

The shelter staffer spread out a bright pink comforter with some stuffed animals, then brought out a special collar and necklace for Bella to wear. The canine cutie's reaction to the bling was priceless.

"When she saw her new collar and necklace, Bella was so excited!" the story continued.

Bella's ears perked up and her tail went into wag mode as she stared at the glamorous accessories. The collar had bright pink flowers, which the pretty Pittie clearly loved. Then Bella was adorned with a pearl necklace to give her proper princess status. The fancy fur baby showed her gratitude with lots of kisses and snuggles.

Bella Loves Affection

According to the social media post, this adorable pooch has been through a lot of heartache.

"Bella was found as a terrified stray in 2019," the text shared. "She was adopted shortly after, then found as a stray again 4 months ago."

The sweet Pittie is potty trained, does well at home alone, and isn't a fan of cats. The caption describes Bella as "loving to play with her toys and give kisses to her people. She loves sleeping with her humans, getting belly and chest scratches too!"

Bella hasn't had any meet-and-greets yet, so the Humane Society team is hoping this friendly fur baby gets a chance at a forever family.

"This sweet, full-of-life girl just needs a home to spend her golden years! Someone ready to watch her flourish and really show them what a loyal sweet girl she is," the caption concluded.
