Dog Mom Goes Viral for the Sweet Way She Soothes Her Pit Bull
There is a pit bull being carried in his mom's arms right now. Bluey is playing in the background. Everything is fine.
The TikTok from @reignstormpit shows a pit bull mom doing what only real dog moms understand: carrying her pit bull on her shoulder to comfort him while gently bouncing him and playing Bluey for all of her pups.
"Only Real Dog Moms Understand This đŸđ€" the caption reads.
@reignstormpitOnly Real Dog Mom Understand This đŸđ€ #dogmom #dogmomlife #cute #relatable #dogsoftiktok
⏠original sound - Reign Storm SamuelShe's right. Only those of us whoâve been in the trenches with pups really get the lengths youâd go to comfort our fur babies.
The video is simple, sweet and completely perfect. She carries him and she bounces him with that gentle rhythmic motion every parent knows works on their baby - of all kinds. Bluey plays softly in the background. And he sits in her arms with his head on her shoulder. This is exactly where he was always meant to be.
Which it is.
This isn't just carrying a dog to carry a dog. This is knowing your pit bull needs Bluey specifically and making sure Bluey is on. This is soothing your baby the way only you know how. This is love expressed in the most precise and specific way possible.

The fans knew exactly the vibe being caught:
"He is exactly where he wanna be đ€Ł"
"Spoiled rotten sitting up there like yea đ€Łđ€Łâ€ïžâ€ïž"
"Okay I just wanted to make sure I'm not the only dog mom that leaves the tv on for my 4 leg daughter đ©·"
"Yesss my boo lovesss Bluey I thought it was just because she was a baby đ"
That last comment answered a question weâd all been wondering. Do we all play Bluey for our dogs? I do. Dog moms everywhere confirm they do too.Â
But there is actually science behind why this video resonates so deeply.
Why Dog Moms Carry Their Dogs Like Babies and Why Bluey Actually WorksThe National Canine Research Council has documented this very clearly. Dogs activate the same deep caregiving responses in humans that children do, including the instinct to hold, bounce, soothe and protect. When this dog mama carries her pittie on her shoulder and bounces him gently she is not being silly or doing too much. Sheâs responding to a genuine biological pull toward nurturing something in her care. He needs comfort. She provides it. This method just happens to work perfectly on babies too.
As for Bluey? Gentle consistent audio with warm tones and predictable rhythms can greatly reduce anxiety in dogs. Bluey is slow-paced, warmly voiced and emotionally gentle. For pups who grow up hearing it regularly it becomes a comfort sound, something familiar and safe that signals everything is going fine at home.
His mom figured this out on her own.Â
Some dog moms simply know things. This is one of those things.
He is exactly where he wants to be. And, she is exactly who he needs. That is her whole heart right there on her shoulder.
Nobody Will Adopt These Sweet Kitten Sisters, and the Internet Is Devastated
While it's true that it's typically easier to find homes for kittens than older cats, for these kitten sisters, that hasn't been the case. They've been passed over more than once, long after the other kittens in their rescue were adopted, and after their last two potential adoptions fell through, their foster mom is getting desperate.
After Karen at Karen's Cat Community took to TikTok to share Coco and Bella's story, everyone is heartbroken that these sweet babies are still homeless.
@karenscatcommunityThese kittens need a new home, but the RIGHT home, could it be you. Adoption fee and home checks apply. Based in Mid Wales We travel for the right homes. Lauren is still going through enquiries at the moment but honestly, I've never known two kittens that are so difficult to rehome. #cats #catlovers #longhairedcats #adoptdontshop
⏠Soft Morning Air - SonoventWhen Karen, who is based in the UK, first shared the story, it was day 19 of trying to find Bella and Coco their forever homes, and four days have passed since then. They were originally up for sale on social media for just ÂŁ15 each, which is horrifying â they're lucky Karen found them first.
After having full health screenings, it's clear that Bella and Coco are in good health, and they've both been spayed. And despite their sad start to life, they are both such playful, happy cats.
They also both have gorgeous coats, but someone cut chunks out of poor Coco's fur likely because it was matted, making the situation all the more devastating. And imagining what the kittens must have been through, Coco and Bella deserve so much more than this.
Related: Kitten Wakes Up Late for Litter Feeding Time and Acts Like He's 'Missing Happy Hour'
The internet is in total disbelief that these kittens haven't been snatched up yet.
"Theyâre beautiful babies! Hope they have a happy, safe, & fur ever home soon," one commenter wrote.
Some shared that they wished they could adopt the kittens, and others urged everyone watching to do the right thing and give these girls a home. "Come on guys there has to be someone out there," one user wrote.
Why Don't Bonded Pairs Get Adopted?Bonded pairs are cats like Bella and Coco. They don't necessarily have to be related like these kittens are. A bonded pair is any two cats who have formed a close, emotional attachment to each other.
But because bonded pairs are recommended to be adopted together, it's often harder to find their forever homes. According to VCA Animal Hospital, people are often hesitant to adopt bonded pairs because it's obviously a bigger time and financial commitment to adopt two cats instead of one, but it really is better for them to end up in the same home. If cats who are part of a bonded pair are separated, it can cause a lot of anxiety for them.
If you're interested in finding out if Coco and Bella are the right fit for your family and are located in the UK, you can reach out to Karen's Cat Community via the contact form here.
Even if you're not local to these kittens, you can still help them find the right home by sharing the video and interacting with Karen's post, which will give it a boost on TikTok. My fingers are crossed that we get a happy update on Bella and Coco soon!

Tiny Poodle Loses His Entire Mind When the Doggie Daycare Bus Finally Arrives
Some dogs like daycare. And then there is Toby. Apparently, he's "been ready since 6 AM" and needs zero coaxing to make his way to the door when the time arrives. He sprints down the hall, impatiently enters and exits the elevator, and waits with his tiny snout pressed against the glass door for his beloved pink bus to appear. And the moment it does, this petite poodle completely loses it in the most joyful, unhinged, absolutely delightful way possible â and his little scream will stay with you all day.
@kwpawtripsThe bus cannot come fast enough for Toby đđ©· #pawtrips #dog #dogs #dogbus #teacuppoodle
⏠original sound - PawtripsAnd he's off. The door opens, and there is absolutely no holding him back. As one viewer accurately relays, "No bye. No kiss. Just wind."
"The way he gets on the bus, saying 'whatâs up' to his pup friends," jokes another fan. It really is the cutest.
"I watched this an unhealthy amount of times," confesses another. Yep. Toby is totally irresistible.
Why Some Dogs Absolutely Love Doggie DaycareNow, Toby is the best-case scenario for sending your dog to daycare. His enthusiasm is unprecedented and very infectious. He clearly relishes whatever magic-making happens there. And as it turns out, there's a really good reason for that.
Dogs are highly social creatures, and socializing them is genuinely fundamental to their well-being. Isolation can be psychologically challenging in ways that go well beyond simple boredom. Daycare, for the right dog, isn't a luxury. It's actually meeting a pretty deep biological need.
Proponents believe the benefits of daycare are real, and they add up quickly. Dogs who go regularly tend to show improvements in confidence, impulse control, and social skills. Shy or anxious dogs often show the most dramatic transformations â the predictable routine and positive experiences create a safe space where fears gradually dissolve. For dogs who struggle with separation anxiety especially, having somewhere engaging and social to be while their owners are at work can make a meaningful change in their overall stress levels.
And then there's the friendship factor. Regular daycare dogs often form lasting bonds with their playmates, showing visible excitement (like Toby) when they reunite. For dogs in single-pet households, those consistent connections can be particularly valuable â and touching.
And best of all: a well-exercised, socially satisfied dog usually means a much more peaceful evening at home. Delighted squealing aside, of course.

Shelter Puppy Fearfully Hides Under Bed After Being Returned From Adoption, and It's Heartbreaking
Dogs adopted from shelters are sometimes returned for various reasons, including temperament, energy level, or incompatibility. The transition from shelter to home and back to shelter can be traumatic for a canine and sometimes causes them to emotionally shut down.
Jalapeño the puppy was adopted from the Maui Humane Society, but unfortunately was brought back. The precious pup went into an automatic fearful state of mind upon his return to the shelter.
@cassondrachristman3 month old Jalapeño is waiting at Maui humane Society. So grateful to the amazing humane enforcement officers on Molokai who saved him and his siblings and countless other pups. Once they fly over to Maui they are ready to start their new life, thatâs what jalapeño thought he had. Hopefully this weekend will bring him his true forever Come in and meet him at Maui humane society đ #fyp #maui #hawaiitiktok #adoptdontshop #shelterdog
⏠crying into a pillow - i don't like mirrorsThe TikTok from @cassondrachristman shared Jalapeño's story and showed how he is coping with being back at the shelter.
"I went to bring puppy Jalapeño a bed today but his kennel was empty," the onscreen text read as the camera panned over the dogless cage. "Then I saw little white paws under the bed."
The frightened fur baby felt he had to hide to be safe. Jalapeño was traumatized by his return to the shelter environment after being in a home for almost 3 weeks.
"He was returned from adoption yesterday after 20 days," the story continued. "He's only 3 months old. He was so scared, he was hiding under the bed."
The shelter staff member was able to coax Jalapeño out, where he actually leaned into her gentle pets.
Jalapeño was found in April along with his five puppy siblings on the side of the road on Molokai. The tumult of abandonment and being returned after adoption has been overwhelming for the sweet pup.
How Is Jalapeño Now?Since puppies are so vulnerable and need time to build up their immune systems, they don't get the benefit of exploring or socializing until they are old enough to fight off illness and environmental elements. The confinement added to Jalapeño's stress and loneliness.
"Puppies at the shelter spend 24 hours a day in their kennel," the text explained. "They are too young to walk on the ground in public places. So now, after 20 days in a home, Jalapeño is alone in a loud, scary shelter."

The TikTok post was recently updated with wonderful news: Jalapeño was adopted! The canine cutie finally got his forever family and won't have to spend any more time in the kennel.
However, his brother Chase is still waiting at the shelter and hoping for his forever home. Hopefully, he will get the same happy ending as Jalapeño.

8 Small Habits That Bring You and Your Dog Closer, According to a Trainer
Bonding with your dog doesn't happen over nightâit develops slowly through everyday interactions. For dog owners, these daily habits shape trust, comfort and emotional connection over time. So, if you're a new pet parent, how can you get closer with your furbaby? To help you find out, we rounded up 8 small habbits that bring you and your dog closer, according to a trainer.
âA strong bond with your dog usually isnât built through one giant moment,â says Alexandra Bassett, CPDT-KA, lead dog trainer at Dog Savvy Positive Dog Training. âItâs built through hundreds of tiny interactions that happen every single day.â
Dogs learn who feels safe, predictable, and rewarding to be around through these consistent experiences. âThe little things matter because dogs are constantly forming associations based on everyday experiences,â Bassett explains. âItâs less about âHow do I make my dog love me?â and more about âHow do I become someone my dog feels good around?ââ
That mindset shift of focusing on tiny positive daily interactions can make a meaningful difference in your overall relationship with your dog. Even with busy schedules, building a strong bond doesnât require perfection or constant effort. Instead, itâs about simple habits that fit naturally into your daily routine and help strengthen your connection over time.

8 Everyday Habits That Help You Feel Closer to Your DogYou may be surprised what experts say are some of the easiest ways you can connect with your pooch!
A dog parent cuddling her pup and bonding. Provide Comfort with a Predictable RoutineDogs feel most secure when life is predictable. That's why one dog training tip that can instantly improve how close you and your pup are can come down to having a consistent daily routine for them. This helps them understand what to expect each day and creates a sense of calm and stability for them.
âDogs are often âstuck at homeâ most of the day, so things like mealtimes, playtime and walks become the highlight of their day,â says Bassett.
When dogs know whatâs coming next, they tend to feel more relaxed and confident. âDogs thrive on predictability,â Bassett explains. âKnowing when meals, walks, playtime, naps and bedtime happen helps them feel more secure.â
That sense of safety often shows up in a stronger bond with their humans. When a dog feels calm and understood, theyâre more likely to be affectionate, engaged and emotionally connected in everyday life.
Build Trust With Soft Eye ContactGentle eye contact can be a quiet but powerful way to make your relationship better with your furbaby, as it builds trust and emotional connection.
âUnlike hard staring, which can feel threatening in dog language, soft, relaxed, loving eye contact when you are sharing space,â says Bassett.
Many dogs naturally check in with people they trust through soft glances, nudges, and quiet moments of attention. These small exchanges, especially when paired with gentle petting, can help strengthen your connection and reinforce feelings of safety and comfort between you and your dog.
Bond While PlayingAnother way to deepen your bond with your dog? Play with them! According to Basset, this is one of the fastest ways you can connect with your pup.
âNot just throwing a ball endlessly while scrolling your phone, but interactive play where youâre truly involved together is the way to go,â she explains. âThings like tug, chase games, fetch, training games like hide-and-seek and flirt pole games can make you feel exciting and rewarding to be around for your dog.â
If you want to be closer to your dog, try grooming them. It's something simple that any pet parent can do.
âCalm grooming sessions can become a really soothing bonding ritual,â Bassett says. âThings like brushing, ear rubs, gentle massage, wiping paws or helping remove burrs and tangles can create feelings of comfort, safety and trust when done slowly and respectfully.â
According to Bassett, many dogs love these moments of calm attention. âThe key is making sure your dog actually enjoys the experience and isnât being restrained or overwhelmed in a way that feels stressful to them,â she adds. "If your pup has trouble staying stil, try pairing grooming with a positive experience like lick mats."
Turn Training Into a Moment of TrustPositive reinforcement training isnât just about teaching commands, itâs about building understanding between you and your furry companion. When dogs are rewarded for good behavior, they begin to feel confident, safe and eager to engage.
âPositive reinforcement training helps dogs feel successful instead of confused or intimidated,â explains Bassett.
Over time, reward-based training strengthens communication and helps your dog see you as a source of clarity and safety. That shared understanding turns everyday training moments into small opportunities for connection. Therefore, when your dog feels understood, learning becomes easier and your bond naturally deepens.
Let Walks Bring You Closer to Your DogIf you want to feel connected to your dog, walks can help with that. In fact, letting your dog lead your walk can be one of the simplest ways to build a stronger bond with them. That's where sniff walks come in. These walks allow your dog to stop, explore, and follow their nose, turning an everyday routine into a more meaningful shared experience.
âScent is a dog's primary sense and how they collect data about the world around them, which is why sniff walks are incredibly enriching for dogs,â Bassett says. âWhen you allow your dog time to sniff and explore instead of constantly rushing them along, you become associated with freedom and good experiences instead of pressure, which can really strengthen your relationship.â

Talk to Your Dog Throughout the DayEven if your dog doesnât understand every word you say, they are highly attuned to your tone, energy and familiar phrases.
âTalking to your dog creates interaction and engagement throughout the day,â she says. âA lot of dogs seem comforted simply by hearing their personâs voice. And over time, many dogs learn tons of little phrases.â
For many dogs, hearing your voice helps them feel more connected and reassured. Those simple moments of communication, whether itâs casual talk, encouragement, or routine words, can quietly strengthen your bond over time.
Learn to Read Your Dog's Body LanguageYour dog is always communicating through their body language. That's why learning how your dog talks and noticing it can make your relationship stronger.
"Noting and responding to things like lip licking, tail movement and play bows might be one of the biggest bonding tools of all,â Bassett says. âWhen people learn to notice and respond to those signals, dogs often become more trusting because they feel understood.â
These small daily habits may seem simple on their own, but together they shape something meaningful. Over time, they create a relationship built on trust, comfort and understanding.
And for many dog owners, that steady, everyday connection becomes one of the most rewarding parts of life with a dog.

8 Subtle Signs Your Cat May Be Frustrated
We often peg cats as perpetually grumpy and standoffish. So, their frustrations can often get overlooked by pet parents since their communication style is different from how people express themselves. So, while there are many reasons your pet may be feeling annoyed, they donât always show frustration in obvious ways. Therefore, when your cat is trying to tell you something through their body language, you might not even notice.
Cats often give subtle behavioral clues that something isnât right. Learning to spot these signs can help you better understand your furry family member and help lift their mood. "Itâs important to know if your cat is frustrated so that you can take steps to resolve the situation and help them feel more comfortable," Dr. Liza Cahn, DVM, a veterinarian at Embrace Pet Insurance says. "However, if not addressed, frustration can escalate into more serious stress-related behaviors or even aggression."
To help you avoid stress-induced escalation, Dr. Cahn shares eight subtle signs your cat is frustrated that you may miss. Once you start to notice the signs your cat is unhappy, you can make small changes to help them feel safe, supported and deeply cared for.
Related: 10 Signs Your Cat is Emotionally Attached to You, Says an Expert
Common Reasons Cats Get Mad Cats can be sutle about their emotions."Like people, cats may feel frustrated for many reasons," reports Dr. Cahn. "Common triggers include wanting something they cannot accessâsuch as food, treats, entrance to a room, outdoor prey or attentionâthe presence of other animals in or around the home, boredom or lack of enrichment, anxiety, and unwanted restraint, handling or physical contact."
8 Signs Your Cat Is FrustratedIf you've ever wondered, "Is my cat frustrated?" you're not alone. Many pet parents are curious about how their furbabies feel. That's why Dr. Cahn is breaking down the specific behaviors that can reveal when your cat is feeling stressed, annoyed, or overwhelmed.
1. PurringWe often think purring is a sign that your cat loves you and is happy. It is, but it's also an often-missed flag of kitty frustration.
"Purring is notoriously hard to read because cats purr for many reasons, including as a self-soothing mechanism when they are anxious, frustrated, or in pain," Dr. Cahn says. "Keep an eye on your catâs body language and context to help determine a happy purr from other types that may require intervention."
2. Tail ThumpingIt's easy to think a cat is happily "wagging their tail" like a dog when they start thumping, lashing or flicking their tail. But Dr. Cahn says tail thumping is a cat's way of telling you that they are irritated, overstimulated or frustrated.
"For example, a cat may thump their tail when they are being petted for too long or watching prey they cannot reach.
3. Changes in Grooming HabbitsWhat's another sign your cat may be upset? While cats are notoriously hygienic little creatures, when they go above and beyond with the licking, it is not necessarily a sign of next-level great hygiene. It could be related to frustration-related stress. This is a condition known as psychogenic alopecia.
"Excessive licking and grooming is a sign that is easy to miss because grooming is such a normal cat behavior," Dr. Cahn reveals. "However, overgrooming can be associated with frustration, anxiety, self-soothing or medical causes such as parasites or allergies."
4. Meowing More OftenIf your cat suddenly becomes chattier than usual, they may be trying to communicate frustration or unmet needs.
âMeowing is a vocalization that adult cats mostly use to communicate with humans, and it can be a sign of frustration when a cat wants something but canât access it,â Dr. Cahn says.
This often happens in situations like closed doors, empty food bowls, seeing outdoor activity they canât reach, or when they want more attention than theyâre getting.
However, Dr. Cahn notes that excessive or unusual vocalization can also signal underlying health concerns, including pain, hyperthyroidism, cognitive dysfunction, urinary issues, or anxiety.

5. Displaying Flattened EarsTake a look at your pet's ears. A catâs ear position can be one of the clearestâbut often missedâsignals of how theyâre feeling.
"Body language is one of the best ways for us to help interpret our catsâ emotions and comfort level," Dr. Cahn says. "A cat with flattened ears may be irritated, fearful or frustrated. On the other hand, relaxed cat body language typically involves a natural or forward-facing ear position and a tension-free body posture."
6. Dilated PupilsOne subtle sign of stress in cats can appear in their eyesâbut itâs easy to miss without close observation.
âDilated pupils may be associated with fear, pain, frustration, or arousal,â Dr. Cahn explains. âBecause pupil size naturally changes with lighting and excitement, context is key.â
If the change doesnât match the situationâor appears alongside other behavior shiftsâit could be a quiet signal of stress or discomfort worth paying attention to.
7. PacingIf your cat canât seem to settle down, pacing may be a quiet sign of frustration or restlessness.
âA frustrated cat may pace near doors, windows, food areas, litter boxes, or people when they want something but canât access it,â Dr. Cahn explains. âIt may also indicate under-stimulation and a lack of outlets for natural behaviors like hunting, climbing, scratching, exploring, or social interaction.â
8. Avoiding you/people more than usualIf your cat suddenly starts keeping more distance, it may be more than just âbeing antisocial.â
"A frustrated cat may start avoiding people if interactions feel unpredictable, overwhelming or unrewarding," Dr. Cahn says. "For example, a cat who is frequently picked up, interrupted while resting, chased by children, or petted past their comfort limit may begin avoiding contact."
Dr. Cahn adds that changes in social behavior can also be an early sign of illness or physical discomfort.
What To Do If You Think Your Cat Is Frustrated"If you suspect your cat is frustrated, first look at their routine and environment," Dr. Cahn says. "Frustration often occurs when a cat is motivated to do something but is blocked, interrupted, restrained or unable to get what they want or need."
Dr. Cahn suggests considering the five pillars of a healthy feline environment. They are:
- Create a safe place with hiding spots available to help your cat feel safe and comfortable.Â
- Make sure that there are plenty of resources available (especially in multicat homes) and that they are separated and easily accessible.Â
- Provide enrichment and outlets for your catâs natural instincts, including scratching, hunting, play, and vertical perches.Â
- Stick to a consistent routine that includes predictable human interaction, play and physical touch if your cat desires it.Â
- Respect your catâs sense of smell, which is much more sensitive than our own. Consider using pheromone sprays or diffusers. Avoid strong-scented perfumes or cleaning products.Â
Remember, if you're concerned about your cat, your vet is here to help both of you!

Doting Boxer Shares HIs Favorite Toy With Newborn Human and This Bond Is Unbreakable
Of all dog breeds, Boxers are among the most under appreciated family dogs. Notoriously protective, loving, and patient, Boxers may not have the same reputation as the ultimate family dog that Golden Retrievers and Labrador Retrievers do, but when it comes to building relationships with their humans, this breed is all love.
One doting Boxer is giving the breed a good name after starring in a social media video taking TikTok by storm. In the video, Bruno the Boxer can be seen cozying up to his infant brother, Arthur.

It's no wonder this sweet dog video quickly went viral, with more than 200,000 viewers liking the post on TikTok and nearly 30,000 people sharing the heartfelt clip with others.
Comments from emotional viewers ranged from being overwhelmed by Bruno's sweetness to becoming completely invested in this loving relationship in bloom.
âI can't do this today,â wrote one viewer.
Another added, âThey're gonna have so much fun together.â

Do Dogs Get Jealous Over Babies?Yes, dogs can get jealous over babies, but it's a bit different from a child getting jealous of a new sibling.
First of all, dogs may just be perplexed if they have never interacted with or seen a human baby.
Babies have a new smell that pups don't know, and they don't really do much, unlike a child or adult, so that may be confusing to them.
Babies, at least at first, will also throw off the dog's routine. If they weren't brought into a house with children already, then this is a major life transition.
First of all, most likely their mom has been away for a few days, so they know something is up, and now she's carrying this weird thing around that makes odd noises.
The attention usually focused on them is displaced, so it's normal that they may exhibit attention-seeking behavior like barking or whining.
So, how do you deal with jealous behavior from a dog?
If your pooch is acting out like this Dachshund, inclusion is the first step.
Have your dog sit next to you when you feed the baby.
Make them part of the baby's goodnight routine.
Take the pup on walks with the baby.
If they associate this new human addition with positive things, they will be less jealous.
Redirecting their energy will help them regain emotional stability during this major transition period for dogs.

⏠A sprinkle of happiness - asa palette cafeShared on TikTok by @goldenkittyfam, the video shows four beautiful Persian catsâWillow, Rosie, Buns, and Blancheâwho were ready for one of their many naps during the day. Cats sleep a lot, which every kitty parent knows, but in this clip, we learn something that might not be known by people who don't have more than one cat.Â
Cats love to sleep in weird but very specific places, and when they decide somewhere that works for them, that's where you'll find them during nap time.Â
In the comments, people were happy to see this group of cats have a good sleeping spot, even if none of them made sense. Some comments included, "OMG, 4 beautiful meows," "So cute," "Such a precious moment," and "I love it."
One person asked, "Do their fave spots change? Floof will pick a new spot every few months?" And they received an answer, with these cats' mom sharing, "Willow has had the favorite couch spot since I brought her home five years ago. Buns on the chair pillow started at the beginning of this year. The other two have loved their spots for a very long time! Where does Floofy love to sit right now??? Kitties are so funny about how they get attached to spots!!!

Why Do Cats Sleep in Weird Spots? These four Persian cats know what works for them to get great naps, and they're not afraid to park themselves there for some good shut-eye. If you have a cat, you'll probably notice they have a weird sleeping spot, too. And there's a reason for that.Â
According to VCA Animal Hospitals, cats sleep in strange places because it's part of their history, dating back to when they were in the wild. The site explains that although our well-loved house cats don't need to worry about anything dangerous sneaking up on them, they still sleep as if they do. That means high places, small places, and everything in between.Â
But if your kitty isn't sleeping in a weird, tight, or high place, like on a very specific couch cushion, spot on the floor, or weird perch, that's because they have to sleep a lot, and they want to sleep in a spot where they're sure they'll wake feeling rested.
And these four cats have found their spots and are happy to stick to them.Â
Meet Tuesday: The Tiny Dwarf Cat With Blue Eyes Who's Breaking Hearts Online
Some cats are so strikingly beautiful that it just stops you in your tracks, and you find yourself wondering: "Is this cat even real?"
Between his bright blue eyes that contract with his black coat and his tiny body, Tuesday the Dwarf cat is one of those unreal, stunning cats who is making the internet fall in love. To believe him, you really do have to see him for yourself:
@tuesdaythedwarfcatWhatever I was saying doesnât matter. Those baby blues stop me in my tracks at least 1000x per day đ Tuesday being a black cat with blue eyes is not âcute catâ rare. Itâs âsir, please report to the folklore departmentâ rare. #tuesdaythedwartcat #blueeyedblackcat #cattok #catlover @Sarah | TiredAsAMother
⏠original sound - âSo far, Tuesday has over 160,000 followers on TikTok, and the second you see that face, you'll understand why. He's a total heartbreaker!
His mom admitted that she always loses her train of thought the second she catches a glimpse of her cat, and judging by the comments on the post, she's not the only one. Tuesday has so many fans who are in love with him, including the 180,000 people who have watched the video so far (and yep, that number keeps going up).
In fact, his eyes look so blue that a lot of commenters are asking if his eyes can truly be this blue. According to what his mom wrote in a comment, the answer is yes â even though it's very rare for black cats to have blue eyes.
His eyes aren't the only thing that makes Tuesday unique, though; he also has Dwarfism. He's fully grown and still has a tiny body (but a huge personality to make up for it).

What Is a Dwarf Cat?You might not have heard of Dwarf cats until Tuesday, but you probably have heard of Munchkin cats, or cats who have a genetic mutation that leads to having very short legs.
Cats with dwarfism are a bit different, though. These cats have a genetic disorder known as achondroplasia, which means that not only do they have short legs, but they have other differences including multiple health issues, often with their brains and hearts.
What to Know Before Adopting a Dwarf CatIt's impossible to look at Tuesday and not want a cat just like him in your family. But if you ever do end up adopting a Dwarf cat, there are a few things you should be aware of first.
Their medical needs are going to be a big factor when it comes to raising your Dwarf cat. You should be prepared to cover more medical bills than a typical cat might incur, and they may end up having special needs that require more care from you as their human.
They may also struggle with mobility because of their short legs, so Dwarf cats may need assistance jumping on and off of higher surfaces (and sometimes, stairs can be a challenge).
They will shower you with love and cuddles in the way only a cat can, though, which is a huge upside.
And if they're anything like Tuesday, they will come with a playful personality and plenty of attitude. I bet there's never a dull moment with that gorgeous boy around!

Abandoned Puppy With Brain Damage Is 'Not Giving Up' on Learning to Walk
Puppies are known for their irresistible cuteness and charm, yet these fur babies are also incredibly fearless and resilient. They navigate life's challenges with unbridled curiosity, which often turns into courage and determination.
Niall Harbison works with puppies living on the street through his Thailand animal rescue, Happy Doggo. He recently saved Rocket, an adorable black-and-white puppy with a severe neurological disorder who is committed to getting well.
View this post on InstagramIn the Instagram video from @wearehappydoggo, a Happy Doggo staff member gently played with Rocket as the precious puppy tried his best to stand up. The caption gave some background information on Rocket's condition.
"Five days ago, this tiny 2-month-old puppy arrived at Happy Doggo," the caption shared. "When he was born, his mom accidentally lay on him, causing neurological damage that left him unable to walk, balance, or even hold his head up on his own."
A local resident found the puppy and tried to nurse him back to health, finally calling in Harbison when he realized the extent of Rocket's condition. Harbison's medical team gave the canine cutie a full evaluation and is determining an optimal treatment plan going forward.
Rocket Is Getting Lots of Love and SupportThe neurological damage Rocket is dealing with makes basic movement a challenge, but the fearless fur baby is fighting to heal, and Harbison's team is right by his side.
"The world is a bit wobbly, but heâs not giving up," the caption noted. "Our team sits with him, gently helping him stand, building up his muscle memory, and catching him when he falls. Itâs a long road ahead, but we are determined to give Rocket the absolute best chance at life."
In the video, both Rocket and the Happy Doggo staffer were undeterred at the pup's shakiness and kept working to build the pup's strength.

"It's going to take a lot of practice and a lot of falls, but we are right here with him," the onscreen text read as the Happy Doggo team member patiently assisted the puppy in some mild physical therapy. "Come on, Rocket, you can do this."
Harbison launched Happy Doggo in 2021. In addition to the sterilization and daily feeding of thousands of street dogs, he recently opened a full-service medical clinic in honor of his beloved Golden Retriever, Tina, and a retirement village for senior dogs.

Dad Discovers His Adorable Shelter Jack Russell Terrier Is Actually a Surprising Mix
For years, Holly's family thought they knew exactly what kind of dog they had adopted. The shelter told them she was a Jack Russell mix.
And from day one, Holly had that terrier energy, chaotic zoomies, strong opinions about everything, and the look that said she was always three seconds ahead. It made complete sense.
đ¶SIGN UP to get "pawsitivity" delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friendsđŸđŸ
Then the family ran a DNA test, and the results, posted on r/DoggyDNA, showed zero Jack Russell.
The Unexpected Genetic BreakdownAfter adopting Holly, her family assumed she was some combination of Jack Russell terrier and pit bull.
Eventually, they decided to run a DNA test.
The results came back with a completely different story:
- 33.9 percent American pit bull terrier
- 22.5 percent boxer
- 16.2 percent beagle
- 14.8 percent supermutt
- 6.8 percent Rottweiler
- 5.8 percent Yorkshire terrier
Even the supermutt category consisted of Labrador retriever, Pekingese, and bichon frise. Not a trace of Jack Russell terrier. Holly's dad joked that despite the genetics, she still has enough chaotic energy to earn the nickname "Crack Russell."
The Internet Immediately Had ThoughtsDog parents in the Reddit community were quick to weigh in, with many successfully guessing the pit bull part. One commenter said, "I had pit and beagle. And she is a terrier, after all."
Then there were the funny responses from users, including, "I expected something smaller too, I guess the beagle and Yorkie are really pulling their weight haha."
For some reason, shelters often assume that small, energetic dogs are always Jack Russell terrier mixes. One fan noted it, saying, "Another day on this sub, another small, energetic, white and brown dog revealed to be a pit mix with no JRT."

Why Do Shelters Get Breed Identification WrongShelter breed identification is often more educated guesswork than science. Most mixed-breed dogs inherit physical traits from multiple ancestors. One dog may have the ears of a Beagle, the body shape of a Boxer, and the energy level of a Terrier.
Staff members rarely receive genetic feedback on the dogs they get, and identifying animals by physical appearance alone is highly inaccurate.
Most people focus on the traits they recognize easily. The challenge is that those traits are often misleading.
There is Another Reason Why Breed Labels Get ComplicatedWe also have to take a look at the practical challenge. Certain breeds carry stereotypes that can affect adoption rates, insurance policies, housing restrictions and perception.
That is a reason why some shelters avoid labeling dogs as pit bull mixes unless they are absolutely certain.
Embracing the Chaotic EnergyFor most families, the label or the breed doesn't matter. You love the dog in front of you, not the label on the paperwork.
There are practical reasons to know the breed, mostly due to training. For example, dogs with strong beagle genetics will be nose-driven, which will change how they respond to training.
The good news is Holly has a drive that her family loves. That is the best proof that labels matter far less than individual personality.

Freshly Rescued German Shepherd Makes Her Feelings About Bath Time Crystal Clear
Juniper had barely settled into her new home when the betrayal happened. Her new dad decided it was time for a bath.
Specifically, what he jokingly called a "wash-the-shelter-stank-off bath." Bringing a rescue dog home often involves an immediate bath to clear away shelter grime.

Yet, for this German shepherd, her first-day milestone turned into an absolute standoff. Her new dad attempted to wash away the shelter smell, but what we see is a dramatic display of canine disapproval.
Her dad posted the image of the skeptical, damp dog on r/germanshepherds, and it resonated with thousands of parents who have faced the exact same bathroom battle.
Why Do Dogs Hate BathsYou might think that dogs do not like getting wet. But a German shepherd will walk through a muddy puddle without hesitation and consider a swim a genuine highlight of the day.
Hating baths has nothing to do with water, and everything to do with control. When a dog swims, it is a choice. They can exit whenever they want.
A bath is the opposite: a confined space, a slippery surface, an unfamiliar temperature, running water that sounds like nothing in the dog's natural experience, and no exit route. Put them all together, and it will trigger survival instincts in dogs as if they were being cornered.
Rescue Dogs Suffer Even MoreJuniper arrived in a whole new world for her. Every smell, sound, routine, and social relationship in her life had changed in a single day. Then came the tub.
Many newly adopted dogs behave exactly the same way. They need time to settle. Rescue organizations often talk about the 3-3-3 rule.
The first three days are when everything feels overwhelming for dogs. They appear anxious, withdrawn, and uncertain. Some even eat less than normal. This happened to Juniper as well.
During the first three weeks, dogs begin learning routines and get a feel for the new environment. They start showing their personality, and their confidence slowly grows.
By the third month, rescue dogs begin to feel fully at home. They trust their new parents, get a stable routine and behave like their true selves.
Yet, every dog moves at a different pace. Some might get there faster, some longer.

Juniper's Support Group Has Her BackThe post resonated with pet lovers, with many supporting Juniper and her new home. One commenter couldn't help but laugh, saying, "omg that poor thing. she's being tortured with love and care."
Another offered encouragement, "You got this Juniper!" And one wished her happiness in her new home, saying, "You're in a swimsuit. She just doesn't know yet how good she's got it now."
The Best Part is AheadRight now, in Juniper's mind, baths are suspicious, cats are unpredictable, and humans should never leave her sight.
Her new dad revealed in the comments how her life is going, saying, âShe is rarely finishing her meals because CAT! (Is watching her from 20' away ready to apply another beatdown) or WHERE DID YOU GO? (around the corner and thus out of sight) or WHATCHA DOIN'? (Dishes/making the bed/that sort of thing) orâŠyou get the idea."
But a few months from now, things will look different. She is taking the first steps. Judging by the support she gets online, people are rooting for her!

Target's Cutesy New Dog Raincoat Is Perfect for Rainy Summer Days
Parade Pets aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Being a pet parent comes with plenty of fun, unexpected, and sometimes hilarious moments. One of the things I enjoy most is watching my fur baby grow and discovering how his personality and preferences change over time. As they get older, you start to notice little quirks that make them unique.
My dog, Gambit, is a 3-year-old giant schnauzer, and over the years he has become incredibly selective about certain things. One of the biggest examples is his bathroom routine. Gambit is very particular about where and when he chooses to go outside. If it's raining, there's a good chance he's not interested in stepping outside unless he's wearing his rain jacket. Otherwise, he'll often wait patiently until the rain passes before even considering it.
đ¶SIGN UP to get "pawsitivity" delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friendsđŸđŸ
What makes this so funny is that he has no problem playing in the rain. He'll run around, chase toys, and enjoy himself without hesitation when he's in the mood for outdoor fun. Yet when it comes to using the bathroom, suddenly the rain becomes a major inconvenience. I've never fully understood the logic behind it, but I guess that's part of what makes dogs so entertaining.

Another feature many shoppers appreciate is its machine-washable design. Anyone who owns a large dog knows how quickly muddy paws and wet weather can turn into extra cleanup around the house. Having dog apparel that can be easily cleaned adds convenience while helping keep pets dry during rainy outings.
The growing popularity of dog rain gear reflects a larger trend within the pet industry. Pet owners continue investing in products that improve comfort, safety, and convenience for their furry family members. From rainy-day walks to quick potty breaks, practical pet apparel has become an important category for many households.
For dogs like Gambit, having the right gear can make all the difference between refusing to step outside and confidently taking on whatever Mother Nature brings.

This Adorable Dancing Dog Just Earned the Ultimate 'America's Got Talent' Golden Buzzer
The dancers walked out in red, and the crowd was already into it. Clean formations, high energy, the kind of choreography that shows a group that has been training for years. It looked like a confident acrobatics crew ready to impress. Then the dogs ran out, and the whole thing changed.
What started as a talented dance crew audition on America's Got Talent suddenly transformed into something else entirely. Within moments, the audience was cheering, the judges were grinning, and four-legged performers had become the biggest star on the stage.

The Moment Everything ChangedAcro Canine Crew is an all-female troupe from Edmonton, Canada. They were one of the biggest and best surprises of the America's Got Talent season 21 premiere. Performing to a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Everywhere," the choreography was impressive on its own.
Yet, the moment the dogs entered the routine, moving through the formations rather than just being alongside them, the act became even more impressive.
Six dogs of all sizes joined the performance, leaping, spinning and weaving through the formation with genuine chemistry. The audience lost it, judge Sofia Vergara shot out of her chair, and by the time the music stopped, the entire panel was on its feet.
The dogs became the act, and the humans were the backup. Afterward, Vergara said, "This is my two favorite acts: dancing and dog acts. Together? I really wasn't expecting this. It was too much for me."
Before she could even reach the button, host Terry Crews sprinted from backstage and pressed the Golden Buzzer himself. "I have never seen anything like this in my life," he said.
Fans Loved It as WellTrae Patton / NBC
The YouTube comments captured exactly why the act landed the way it did. One person said, "The dogs were completely unexpected. That was amazing and phenomenal."
Another added, "I don't normally like dog acts, but this was WOW, amazing. This was absolute world class."
And then, one said what we all thought, "I love how they started off as a normal group, but once the dogs came out, it was taken to a whole new level. The way they involved both of each other throughout the act was just mesmerizing."
As one commenter said, "It's a woof woof, and a golden buzzer, from me."

Long History of Dogs Winning Over AGT AudiencesAmerica's Got Talent fans know all too well: never underestimate a great dog act. Back in season 7, the Olate Dogs became the first animal act to win the competition. The routine included dogs riding scooters, jumping rope and pulling off seemingly unreal stunts.
Years later, dog trainer Sara Carson and her border collie finished in fifth place. Yet, their creative routines made them fan favorites.
Years later, another border collie, Hurricane, and his trainer, Adrian Stoica, won season 18. They became only the second dog act to win the crown.
The success proves that people are not just watching the humans. They are watching the relationship. Acro Crew has the chemistry to bring them the crown. Let's wait and see how they do!

Bernese Mountain Puppy Has One Sweet Request for Mom, and It's Melting Hearts
Puppies are completely irresistible to anyone who crosses their path. Those fluffy coats, round bellies, paws too big for their bodies, and insatiable curiosity, all wrapped up in a sweet ball of floof, are just over-the-top adorable.
As cute as these pups are, their moms have days when they need a break. This Bernese Mountain Puppy wanted some extra kisses from his mom and despite his undeniable charm, she needed her own timeout.
View this post on InstagramIn the Instagram video from @miss_maya_thebernese, the precious puppy and his mom were outside facing each other and enjoying some fresh air. The fur baby gazed adoringly at his mother and jumped on her, giving her kisses in the process and hoping for some in return.
The pup's mom was patient but kept turning her head, apparently not in the mood to give affection. Yet the persistent puppy would not be deterred. He repeatedly lobbied for a kiss as his mother clearly communicated she needed some space. The tiny pooch was oblivious to his mom's body language, making the scene both endearing and hilarious.
Followers raved over the sweet interaction and pointed out the pup's tenacity.
"Such a gorgeous breed... that pup wants mom's attention!" one pointed out.
"Mom is taking a break but still allows a kiss," another remarked.
"My heart," a follower gushed.
"He wants some loving, mama, and wants attention," someone noted.
How Puppies Ask for AttentionAttention-seeking behavior from puppies is normal. After leaving their mom for a forever home, puppies need their new parents to help them mature and acclimate to their environment.
Some of these behaviors include whining, barking, scratching, nibbling, jumping on you, staying close to you, and following you from room to room. While these actions are common in a puppy's development, it's important to foster your pup's confidence and independence as they grow.

Training, positive reinforcement, and maintaining consistent boundaries help to build your puppy's sense of security. Daily physical exercise and mental stimulation also prevent your fur baby from developing negative behaviors out of boredom or frustration.
Once this Bernese Mountain Mom gets some much-needed "me" time, she'll most likely cover her canine cutie with lots of cuddles.

These 2 Cute Cardinals Are Acting Like They're on Their First Date
There are romantic dinners, there are sweet little love notes, and then there are two Cardinals at a feeder, making the rest of us look emotionally unavailable.
In the video, the homeowner films from inside the house, watching a pair of Cardinals who clearly have history. This isn't some random backyard meetup. These two seem familiar, comfortable, and very much like regular visitors with their own routine. The woman filming knows them as Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal, which makes the whole thing feel like a neighborhood love story happening right outside her window.
@itstaylorvanessaI love birds sm đ„č #birdsoftiktok #birdlovers #cutebirds #birdwatching #birdfeeder
⏠awww so cute - Cherri âïžEven though they give off old-married-couple vibes, they're acting like teenagers who just discovered what flirting is. The male Cardinal is perched on a feeder close to the window, carefully feeding the female seeds like this is the fanciest restaurant in town, and he made reservations three weeks ago. The female accepts the seeds with the confidence of someone who knows how adored she is.
It's almost too sweet to watch. Almost. (I live for stories like this.)
There's something about birds, or any animal for that matter, doing romantic things that absolutely sends people and me. Mostly me. One minute, you're a normal adult with responsibilities. The next, you're staring at Cardinal personally curating a menu for the love of his life.
He doesnât just grab whatever seeds are closest; he chooses what to offer her. And he looks like a tiny red husband making sure he finds her favorites, and itâs destroying me. If he really knows her favorite seeds, thatâs not just bird behaviorâthatâs marriage counseling for the rest of us!
The caption says the person filming loves birds so much, and this clip explains exactly why. Birds really can be funny, dramatic, bossy, tender, and oddly human in the best ways. They don't need a script. They just show up at a feeder, share snacks, and accidentally create the softest romantic comedy of the day.
I love this video. It feels like we're all quietly spying on a private date, trying not to breathe too loudly while Mr. Cardinal does his little routine. No swelling music needed, just two bright birds and a moment so wonderful and pure it makes your chest hurt a little.
I already think Cardinals look like they were designed by someone with a flair for the dramatic. Add in whatever this sweet moment is, and suddenly, they're not just some simple backyard birds. They're main characters in a tiny love story clearly sent here to break my heart.
Have they been together for years? Maybe this is their regular snack routine. Whatever the case, these two are giving first-date butterflies with long-term commitment energy, and the internet is right to be emotionally unstable about it.
Do Cardinals Mate for Life? Not shockingly, Cardinals are often seen in pairs, and sweet moments like this are part of what makes people love watching them so much. A feeder near a window can turn any ordinary backyard into a tiny bird soap opera.
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology notes that Northern Cardinals often eat seeds and fruit, and males may feed females during courtship. Cardinals can form strong pair bonds, though not every pair stays together for life. Still, when Mr. Cardinal is sorting through seeds for Mrs. Cardinal like he knows her exact order, it's very hard not to believe in love.
Flowers are nice, but showing up with snacks is elite romance.

Hobby Lobby's Adorable $8 Stoneware Paw Print Bowl Has Pet Parents Rushing to Grab It
As a dog dad, I'm always on the lookout for new accessories and toys for my pups. While there are plenty of pet products on the market, it isn't always easy to find items that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing enough to fit seamlessly into your home. Many pet products prioritize practicality over style, leaving pet parents with limited options for creating a space that looks good while still catering to their furry companions.
That's why whenever I come across something that offers great value, looks good, and doesn't break the bank, I don't hesitate to grab it. Just because our pets are animals doesn't mean they shouldn't get to enjoy some of the finer things in life as well. After all, they are cherished members of the family and deserve comfort, quality, and a little bit of luxury, too.

Constructed from durable stoneware, the dish is designed to handle everyday feeding while providing a sturdy base that helps reduce movement during mealtime. The large size measures 2.75 inches high by seven inches wide and seven inches deep, offering a generous 42-ounce capacity. That makes it a practical choice for both food and water, especially for medium to larger dogs or households looking to minimize constant refills throughout the day.
Another reason pet owners are gravitating toward stoneware is its substantial feel and durability. Unlike lightweight alternatives, stoneware tends to stay in place better, helping create a cleaner feeding area. The neutral white color also blends effortlessly into modern, farmhouse, minimalist, and traditional decor styles.
As with any pet feeding accessory, proper care is important. The dish is designated for pet use only, is food-safe, should be hand-washed, and is not microwave-safe. Those simple care instructions help preserve its appearance and functionality over time.

For under $10, this stoneware pet dish delivers all three, making it an appealing option for pet parents looking to upgrade their furry friend's feeding station without stretching their budget.
