Country Rocker Says President Trump Is Interested in 'Violent Theater'

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 12:57pm

Many entertainers are using their platforms to speak out about politics. Brandi Carlile performed on February 21 at the Target Center in Minneapolis in support of Minnesota’s The Advocates for Human Rights. The 44-year-old singer spoke about voters getting scammed by President Donald Trump.

"It’s very clear that this administration is not interested in legal immigration," Carlile told Rolling Stone. "They’re interested in violent theater. Violent theater and dominance over other people. I don’t believe most people signed up for that. Even people who voted for Trump, who I’m angry with, I don’t think they voted for this, and I do think that they can still change their minds."

The administration placed 3,000 agents in Minnesota, claiming to target undocumented immigrants, according to The Guardian. U.S. citizens have also been detained, and agents killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti. The Advocates for Human Rights provide free legal help to people in immigration detention, according to the organization's website.

"So, you got f–king scammed. We’re living in a scammy time," Carlile said in reference to voters. "That’s what people do. You can’t even pick up your phone without getting scammed. Doesn’t mean you have to double down."

Carlile's performance can be streamed through Veeps for $29.99. The proceeds will go to the organization. The platform is also selling merchandise and taking donations toward the cause. "The Story" singer posted multiple pictures of the benefit on Instagram on February 22. She captioned the post with lyrics from Bob Dylan's "Girl from the North Country."

This benefit continues Carlile's previous work. She was one of many artists on an album called Democracy Forward. The Bitter Southerner released the album last July and the proceeds went to Democracy Forward, which is a coalition of democracy groups challenging President Trump's agreement to transport migrants to El Salvador, according to The Hill.

Melissa Gilbert’s Latest Video Sparks Backlash as More Accusers Prepare to Testify Against Timothy Busfield

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 12:57pm

Melissa Gilbert is facing mixed reactions online after sharing an upbeat video just days after her husband, Timothy Busfield, pleaded not guilty to felony assault charges.

On Monday, February 23, the Little House on the Prairie alum posted a clip to the official Instagram account for her lifestyle brand, Modern Prairie. In the short video, the 61-year-old is seen singing and dancing along to Des’ree’s 1994 hit “You Gotta Be,” belting out the chorus: “You gotta be bad / You gotta be bold / You gotta be wiser / You gotta be hard / You gotta be tough / You gotta be stronger / You gotta be cool / You gotta be calm / You gotta stay together / All I know, all I know / Love will save the day.”

Her caption was nothing but encouraging, writing: “It’s Monday…and we’re starting this week the Modern Prairie way, together. 🤍Melissa’s been singing the chorus of a Des’ree song 🎶 ‘You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser…’ 🎶So here’s our invitation: Sing it with us. Out loud. In the car. In the kitchen. Wherever you are on your journey right now. Because life isn’t a straight path. It twists. It surprises. It humbles. It strengthens. And somewhere along the way, we become a little braver… a little steadier… a little wiser.”

It concluded, “You’ve handled hard things before. You’re still growing. And you don’t have to walk this road alone.”

While some followers praised the message, others were less enthusiastic.

“Strange,” one person posted, while another wrote, “I hope you are strong enough to speak the truth when needed.”

Another advised, “I sure wouldn't be making light of any of this. Shameful.”

“She harbored a predator. Remember that,” a fourth stated.

The reaction comes as Busfield, 68, faces four counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and child abuse tied to alleged incidents in 2022 and 2023. He pleaded not guilty on February 10, after surrendering to police in January. “I did not do anything,” Busfield said at the time. “They're all lies and I did not do anything to those little boys and I'm gonna fight it.”

Gilbert has publicly supported her husband throughout the proceedings, calling it an “extraordinarily difficult” season. She, along with her youngest sonMichael Boxleitner, wrote letters to the court  in support of the West Wing alum, calling Busfield the “rock” in their family and a “hero,” respectively.

And new court filings reviewed by TMZ on Friday, February 20, indicate that prosecutors plan to call several additional witnesses at trial. The state’s preliminary list reportedly includes four individuals who have previously accused Busfield of sexual misconduct. Prosecutors say the alleged incident dates back roughly 25 years, and one of the accuser’s fathers is also expected to testify.

If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual assault, help is available 24 hours a day through RAINN's National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-4673.

This Stunning $13 Marble Kitchen Find From Marshalls Is the Ultimate Countertop Essential

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 12:55pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

In the world of culinary aesthetics, the "farmhouse chic" and "modern minimalist" movements have converged, transforming the humble kitchen counter into a gallery of functional art. Home chefs and interior enthusiasts are increasingly moving away from cluttered cabinets and toward curated displays of high-quality tools that look as good as they perform. This shift isn't just about vanity; it's about the joy of the cooking process—finding that perfect balance where every utensil serves a purpose while contributing to the overall "vibe" of the home.

The resurgence of traditional kitchen techniques has brought back many classic tools that were once staples in European households. One of the most significant trends is the return of room-temperature storage for essential ingredients. By keeping certain items out of the refrigerator, cooks can ensure they remain at peak flavor and consistency. When these practical solutions are crafted from premium materials like stone and porcelain, they become conversation pieces that bridge the gap between historical tradition and contemporary convenience.

Marshalls

For those frequenting Marshalls, a new viral find has surfaced: the Zulay Kitchen Butter Crock With Knife. Priced at an unbeatable $12.99, this kitchen essential is designed for anyone who has ever struggled with cold, hard butter tearing through a fresh piece of toast. Crafted with a stunning marble finish, it brings an instant touch of luxury to the countertop, proving that high-end design doesn't have to come with a high-end price tag.

The genius of this product lies in its authentic French-inspired design. It uses an airtight water seal to keep butter fresh, soft, and perfectly spreadable for weeks without refrigeration. To use it, you simply pack the butter into the bell-shaped lid and add a small amount of water to the base. When the lid is placed back on, the water creates a vacuum seal that blocks out oxygen—the primary culprit of spoilage.

In addition to its sophisticated appearance, the set is highly practical for the modern home. It includes a spread knife that fits neatly with the set, ensuring you always have the right tool on hand for your morning bagel or evening dinner rolls. Unlike many artisanal stone products, this crock is both dishwasher- and microwave-safe, making it incredibly easy to clean or to slightly warm if the kitchen gets a bit chilly.

Whether you are an avid baker or just someone who appreciates a stress-free breakfast, this Zulay Kitchen find is a must-have for your next Marshalls run.

13 Years Later, This ‘Breaking Bad’ Episode Is No Longer Rated 10/10 on IMDb

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 12:49pm

After 13 years, when the only 10/10-rated IMDb episode of a genre-defying show loses its perfect score, there has to be something unusually disagreeable happening in how the show is being rated.

In the strangest turn of events, Breaking Bad Season 5 Episode 14, ‘Ozymandias’ – which held the perfect 10/10 IMDb rating and was the only episode to hold this prestigious title for more than a decade – has stumbled to 9.9 with 303k ratings. But why now, after 13 years?

Well, for one, we know this has got nothing to do with the content of the show; as legendary as the show was, it ended long ago satisfyingly, leaving a cultural impact for generations. Then, what? Well, it has more to do with something that happens more often than we think: a review-bombing war between fandoms.

Peter Claffey in 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms'

Steffan Hill/HBO

A scuffle between Breaking Bad and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms fans – who weren’t exactly enthused by the idea of sharing the IMDb perfect 10/10 title, as the GoT spinoff has slowly been building its audience – gradually turned into a full-blown war, with fans simply dragging down the ratings of the competitor to keep their beloved show atop.

It may have started with angered Breaking Bad fans resenting the Seven Kingdoms’ gradual success on IMDb, with its fans retaliating even harder, knocking ‘Ozymandias’ to ninth position (not second place), thanks to IMDb’s precise decimals.

Currently, Peter Krause and Michael C. Hall’s drama-comedy show, Six Feet Under series finale, holds the number one spot with a 9.9 rating from 16000 users.

Hollywood Legend, Ranked ‘Biggest Movie Star of the ’90s,’ Delivered Most Iconic Line in Cinema History

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 12:38pm

Hollywood has given us thousands of extraordinary films that have launched so many talented actors into eternal fame and influence. The 1990s was an especially impactful era for film, producing some of the most iconic projects and developing the biggest names in the industry that still resonate with fans today.

Good Will Hunting (1997) showed us a new side to the iconic and hilarious Robin Williams, who showed off his dramatic skills in the role of Dr. Sean Maguire. The already-respected Tom Cruise had an especially successful 10 years in the '90s, with projects such as Magnolia (1999) that really allowed him to shine and solidify his legacy as one of the greats.

But in Collider's list of the 10 Biggest Movie Stars of the 1990s, the actor taking home the prestigious No. 1 spot is Tom Hanks, beating out the aforementioned stars as well as others like Demi Moore, Winona Ryder and Samuel L. Jackson.

"Hanks wasn't just a reliable everyman; the man had range and wasn't afraid to show it," Collider wrote in their analysis of Hanks' work in the '90s. "Whether it was delivering a legendary voice performance in the first fully CG-animated feature ever in Toy Story (1995), proving himself a rom-com icon in films like Sleepless in Seattle (1993), leading one of the greatest war films ever in Saving Private Ryan (1998), or even achieving the rare feat of winning two back-to-back Oscars for Philadelphia (1993) and Forrest Gump (1994), Tom Hanks could do it all, and he gave some truly exceptional films and performances doing so. He was versatile, endearing, and always careful with his star image, ensuring that pretty much no one disliked him during the peak of his popularity."

Perhaps Hanks' most iconic roles of the '90s (and of his entire career) has to be the titular character in the 1994 movie Forrest Gump, directed by Robert Zemeckis, which follows the life of a disabled Alabama man as he navigates war, love, heartbreak and self-fulfillment. The film is considered to be one of the most enduring landmark movies in cinema history, being preserved in the Library of Congress in 2011 and helping Hanks win his second Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

It was also in Forrest Gump (1994) where Hanks delivered possible the most iconic movie quotes in cinema history during a scene where Gump shares his mother's wisdom with a stranger as he waits at a bus stop with her:

The film has multiple iconic, quotable lines throughout the movie, but its this quote specifically that has resonated with audiences over 30 years since it was first delivered. It packages the unpredictability of life with a beautiful metaphor and an earnest sense of optimism, even in the darkest of times. And in a time where many are finding it difficult to have a hopeful outlook on life, it seems that this quote feels the most relevant today.

‘Happy Days’ Rocker Had a No. 1 Hit Song 52 Years Ago Today

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 12:32pm

On Feb. 23, 1974, rocker Suzi Quatro had a No. 1 hit with the song “Devil Gate Drive.” The song hit No. 1 on the UK singles chart, marking the singer and bass guitarist’s second UK No. 1, per This Day in Music. The song was written by music duo Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman, best known for writing hits for Sweet, Toni Basil, and more.

"Devil Gate Drive” also topped the charts in Australia, Ireland, and Norway that year, according to Sound OD.

The hit song came three years before Quatro, now 75, made her debut on the ABCsitcomHappy Days as rocker Leather Tuscadero, the younger sister of Fonzie’s (Henry Winkler) motorcycle riding girlfriend, Pinky (Roz Kelly).

Quatro made her first appearance on Happy Days in 1977, in the Season 5 two-parter titled “Fonzie: Rock Entrepreneur.” In the episode, her character fronted the band Leather and the Suedes. In the ultimate crossover, the band played “Devil Gate Drive” during a gig at Arnold’s Drive-In, the local hangout for the Happy Days gang.

Suzi Quatro revealed why she joined 'Happy Days' but turned down a spinoff

Although she was a real-life rock star, Quatro wanted to branch out in the entertainment industry. She once explained to Classic Rock, "I always had in my gameplan to do everything in the entertainment profession that I felt I could be good at. Rock ‘n roll was my main thing, my security, and I couldn’t do without it. But I also wanted to act, do radio, do much more.”

After appearing in seven episodes of Happy Days, Quatro was given an offer to star in a spinoff about Leather, but she turned down showrunner Garry Marshall.

"I did not want to be stuck into that mold," she told Smashing Interviews magazine in 2021. "People would say, 'Oh, she’s Leather Tuscadero.' It was enough that I was Suzi Quatro, you know. That’s enough. That’s the image I’m going to go to my grave with, which I’m happy to have. But I didn’t want to do Leather Tuscadero the same way. I wanted to do different kinds of roles. I wanted to spread my wings. I didn’t want to be boxed in. If I had done a spinoff, I would’ve been Leather Tuscadero for the rest of my days."

“I am still close with Henry Winkler," the Happy Days alum added. “I remember him talking about that a lot, and that he could never step away from Fonzie. And he’s an actor. That’s his profession. That must be very hard for him."

Laura Ann Tull Claims Eric Dane Bullied Her on ‘Grey’s Anatomy'

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 12:30pm

Just days after Eric Dane’s death at age 53, a former Grey’s Anatomy background performer is drawing attention online with a series of posts accusing the late actor of bullying — and claiming she played a role in his exit from the hit ABC drama.

Laura Tull, who says she worked on the Grey’s Anatomy set for a few years beginning in 2005, shared multiple messages on Threads following news of Dane’s death on Thursday, February 19. "He was a bully an a hole," she wrote.

View on Threads

In subsequent posts, she alleged that Dane mocked her on set, spoke about her behind her back, and contributed to what she describes as long-term professional and personal harm.

"He was a coward who abused me. Bullied me. Made fun of me. When I had beaten cancer. When I was getting sick with an autoimmune disease. He was a stuck on himself narciscist. I was a girl who just wanted to be an actor and be good at it. But I really didn't care for Beverly hills or the sham of glam of hollywood. I wouldn't make a sex tape. He got into my business. His dying doesn't change [the] destruction he caused me,” she wrote

Then came the bigger claim. “I am why he was fired from Grey’s,” she said, alleging she contacted the office of Shonda Rhimes, the show’s creator and executive producer, before Dane’s departure was announced. “I called Rhimes’ assistant two weeks before they announced his termination,” Tull wrote. “Rhimes I doubt will ever admit that.”

View on Threads

Dane played Dr. Mark Sloan, better known to fans as “McSteamy,” from 2006 to 2012, becoming one of Grey’s Anatomy’s most beloved characters. His departure was first reported in July 2012, when Rhimes told TVLine that she and Dane “did not come to this decision lightly, but after much consideration and conversations, he and I have decided that this is the right time for his storyline to end.”

Years later, Dane described that moment differently. During an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast in June 2024, he said he believed he was “let go,” suggesting rising cast costs may have played a role.

As for Tull’s allegations, they quickly spread online, though there’s no public confirmation from ABC, Shondaland, or Dane’s representatives supporting her claims. Her latest posts, however, are not the first time she has publicly accused the Euphoria alum.

In a June 2018 essay published on Medium, Tull reflected on her time around Grey’s Anatomy and mentioned Dane by name, writing, “I worked on [the] set of Grey’s Anatomy for three years as an extra, but I never spoke to Dane once. But I did hear him talk about me... I am still SAG AFTRA and I want justice for Dane’s bullying."

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 12:28pm

Nick Reiner has been photographed for the first time since being arrested in connection with the deaths of his parents Rob and Michele Reiner.

On Monday, Feb. 23, Nick pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in a Los Angeles courthouse. It remains unclear whether Nick’s defense team plans to pursue an insanity defense amid reports he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and struggling with drug addiction.

In photos taken in the courtroom by Getty, Nick can be seen wearing a brown jumpsuit and sporting a shaved head with facial hair.

The next court date is set for April 29.

Rob and Michele Reiner were found murdered in their home on Dec. 14. Later that night, Nick was arrested and charged for the crime, and the video of his arrest by LAPD marks the last time he was seen on-camera.

The Reiner family issued a statement confirming the deaths on the night of Dec. 14.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time,” the statement read, according to Variety.

'90s Nu Metal Legend's First Outside Project Was a 2002 Vampire Movie Soundtrack

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 12:27pm

By the late ’90s and early 2000s, the music scene was dominated by heavy metal, hard rock, nu metal, and grunge, while vampires and other supernatural themes took over the big screen. In 2002, Jonathan Davis stepped outside his work with Korn for the first time, serving as a key contributor and producer on the official soundtrack for Queen of the Damned.

The movie celebrated its 34th anniversary since its release, starring Stuart Townsend as the Vampire Lestat, alongside Marguerite Moreau and Aaliyah in her last on-screen role before her death. Based on The Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice, the movie was a commercial flop that later became a cult classic in the vampire and goth genres.

Alongside its storyline, the movie gained attention for its motion picture soundtrack with Richard Gibbs as producer alongside Korn's Davis. The soundtrack became his first project outside the popular nu metal band, with him lending his vocals for Lestat's songs.

At the time, fans were surprised to hear Davis's distinct voice in the movie but not in the soundtrack. According to reports, he was prohibited from including his vocals due to his contract limitations with Sony at the time. Instead, Davis brought together some of the era's biggest names in music to fill out the album.

The soundtrack had a total of 14 songs and included Wayne Static of Static-X, David Draiman of Disturbed, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, Marilyn MansonJay Gordon of Orgy, Sam Rivers of Limp BizkitL. ShankarVinnie Colaiuta, and Terry Bozzio. Korn members Head and Munky also contributed.

Out of the entire album, some songs weren't created for the movie, like Deftones's "Change (In the House of Flies)." The alternative rock band released the song in 2000 as the first single of their third studio album. Disturbed's 1999 hit "Down with the Sickness," "Dead Cell" by Papa Roach, and Static-X's "Cold" were also included.

The Queen of the Damned soundtrack included Bennington singing vocals for "Systems," and fans can hear Manson's vocals in the movie singing "Redeemer" and Draiman's "Forsaken." Aaliyah was also meant to be included in the soundtrack, with plans for her and Davis to record a duet. The soundtrack was later certified gold by RIAA.

‘Bringing Up Bates’ Star Katie Bates Shares Update Amid Travis Clark Cheating Scandal

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 12:08pm

Bringing Up Bates' Katie Bates Clark is sharing an update one month after her husband, Travis Clark, admitted to cheating on her.

On her Instagram Story on Sunday, Feb. 22, the 25-year-old addressed the scandal for the first time since it broke and provided followers with an update on her mental health and well-being.

"I've wanted to come on here and say something for a while but I honestly haven't really known how to put words to any of this," Katie began her post. "This year didn't start how I thought it would. It's been really heavy and emotional in ways I wasn't prepared for. Some days I feel okay and steady, and other days it's hard to even leave the house. I'm just trying to take it one day at a time. I do want to say thank you though."

"The love, prayers, and messages I've received have meant more than I can explain. I don't always know how to respond, but please know I see it and I'm grateful. I'm getting ready to attend my first four day therapy intensive. I don't really feel equipped to handle something like this on my own, so getting help feels important," she continued. "I know I can't pour into anything else well if I'm not actually working through this in a healthy way. Being mom to Hailey and Harvey and finding little pieces of normal life again has been so grounding for me. I'm not very good at expressing my emotions, so this probably feels scattered, but I'm trying to lean on God and He has brought me so much comfort."

She concluded, "I don't know how much I'll share as I walk through all of this or what that will look like, but I did want to say thank you for the kindness and grace you've shown me. It truly means a lot."

Travis confessed to his infidelity via Instagram Story on Saturday, Jan. 17.

“This is hard to write, but I owe the truth and I owe an apology. I was unfaithful to my wife. I had an affair and repeatedly broke her trust,” Travis wrote. “There is no excuse for what I did. This was my failure and my responsibility alone.”

“I know that words don’t begin to express the damage I caused or the depth of the hurt I’ve brought into her life, but I am truly sorry. I’m sorry for the pain, humiliation, and betrayal I caused my wife through my choices,” he continued. “I understand that an apology doesn’t repair what I broke, and forgiveness is not something I deserve or can ask for. I am taking responsibility by getting help and doing the work to change and become a more honest and accountable man, regardless of outcome. I ask for privacy and grace for Katie as she processes this in her own time.”

Katie also released a statement of her own, saying she and Travis are seeking counseling both together and individually, and that she is being supported by legal counsel. However, she added that it is her “heart’s desire” to “preserve” her marriage.

Mercury Retrograde in Pisces Reopens Old Chapters—What It Brings Up for Your Zodiac Sign

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 12:05pm

Are you ready for Mercury retrograde? Incoming, along with a powerful eclipse and historic moves for big outer planets that are setting up entirely new eras, the astrology of February 2026 is presenting some of the most dramatic experiences of the year — and perhaps some of the most intense, emotional moments that you’ve had in years.

One of the main events this month is a Mercury retrograde in empathic, psychic, sensitive, and deeply feeling mutable water sign Pisces. This first backspin of the year for the planet of communication will set in motion a wave of confusion and blurriness, but also opportunities to recharge and go back to the drawing board to rethink, reflect, and revise game plans that require adjustment before you plow ahead into a year that’s bound to fuel your fire, passion, and drive. Read on to discover the astrology of Mercury retrograde in Pisces as well as the horoscopes for each zodiac sign.

When Is Mercury Retrograde in Pisces?

In 2026, Mercury will go retrograde in Pisces on Wednesday, February 25, at 10:48 pm PT/Thursday, February 26, at 1:48 a.m. ET to Friday, March 20 at 12:32 p.m. PT/3:32 p.m. ET

The Spiritual Meaning of This Mercury Retrograde in Pisces

As Mercury goes retrograde in the mutable water sign, and the twelfth sign of the zodiac, we’ll all be nudged to face themes of healing ourselves and others, exploring deep-rooted emotions to bolster spiritual growth, empathy, imagination, idealism, escapism, and striving (that’s the key word) to better understand reality from fiction. It’ll be tough to pinpoint concrete facts and data because even when it’s moving directly in Neptune-ruled Pisces, Mercury is considered to be in its fall, which means it struggles and has to work even harder to express itself and do its work, which is to fuel communication, transportation, and technology. So when it is moving backward, you can bet on a whole lot of rockiness in those areas of life.

A silver lining of this transit, however, is that it encourages necessary self-reflection and the chance to take stock of how you’ve been tending to your emotional and mental health.

The signs that will feel Mercury retrograde in Pisces the most include Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

What Mercury Retrograde in Pisces Will Bring Up for Your Sign

Read on for Mercury retrograde insight for your zodiac sign. Be sure to read your Rising sign, as well as your moon sign.

Aries

With this retrograde falling in your twelfth house of spirituality, this retrograde asks you to slow down even more than it will other signs. That’s especially difficult for you as such an action-oriented go-getter, so think of this is a period in which you’ll do well to reflect on emotional wounds and dreams from the past. Challenge yourself to prioritize meditation, introspection, caring for your inner world, and allowing your imagination to run wild. It’ll be helpful in allowing you to step even more fully into a fiery year that’s wired for your self-transformation.

Taurus

As Mercury moves back through your eleventh house of long-term wishes and groups, you could be inundated with run-ins with friends or colleagues you haven’t crossed paths with in some time. Whether you’re being invited to work with a team you haven’t collaborated with in months or you’re reuniting with a group of college classmates, you’ll be happy to take walks down memory lane. An especially productive way to make the most of this Mercury retrograde: Think about how you can finesse your approach to long-term aspirations and how the people you surround yourself with might be instrumental in your success.

Gemini

Mercury, your ruling planet, backspins through your tenth house of career and public image, so steel yourself for slowdowns and shifts tied to how you’re making your mark and pursuing your professional goals. You could find that it’s not the most productive or smooth sailing moment for talking through your big picture aspirations with a higher-up — but, on the flipside, it’s possible that you’ll revisit a conversation that was previously put on hold. In general, you’ll do well to reflect on how you’ve been defining success and reassess your approach and perspective going forward in order to set the stage for the greatest wins.

EXPLORE: Saturn in Aries Begins a Karmic Three-Year Cycle—4 Zodiac Signs Are Most Affected

Cancer

This retrograde affects your ninth house of adventure and higher learning, urging you to reflect on your philosophies, perspectives, and ways in which you’ve been pursuing personal growth. You could be inspired to dive back into planning a trip that was previously put on hold or to revisit a beloved destination that always proves rejuvenating. This is also a period of time that was made for honing skills you once backburnered or working with a mentor from the past. Though much of the work you’ll be doing is rework or retracing your footsteps, you could come away from this period feeling revitalized.

Leo

Mercury moves back through your eighth house of joint resources and emotional bonds — the same sector that taskmaster Saturn is now moving out of after making life feel heavier and harder since 2023. You’ve had to get clear on what it’s going to take to make shared dreams with a partner a reality or face limitations alongside a significant other, and now, Mercury’s retrograde could bring some of those same wounds to the surface. The good news is if you’ve done the work Saturn required of you, you’re more than ready to revise budgets, rework your approach to shared income, and maybe even think about different ways to bolster intimacy. With Saturn and Neptune moving into your ninth house of adventure this year — and for years to come, you can think of this retrograde as an emotional cleansing period you need to fully embrace the thrilling unknown ahead.

RELATE?: Love Planet Venus Reaches Its Peak—4 Zodiac Signs Manifest Love and Blessings

Virgo

Mercury, your ruling planet, will move backward through your seventh house of partnership now, requiring you to go back to the drawing board on game plans you share with a significant other, dear friend, loved one, or colleague. Whether you’re rethinking your strategy for hitting professional goals together or mediating a conflict from the past that wasn’t ever fully put to rest, this could be an emotional transit that’s meant to clear the air and a path for you to move even more confidently ahead as part of a pair. With the lunar eclipse in your sign falling on March 3, you may be nudged to release narratives, bonds, and experiences that are firmly rooted in the past and that are no longer serving you.

Libra

Mercury moves back through your sixth house of wellness and daily routine, so you’ll do well to build in extra time for accomplishing anything that’s a part of your everyday hustle. Although you could be tempted to go harder with your workouts and approach to fitness, a more restorative approach might actually be in your best interest, as will adding in more rest. By taking a step back from pushing ahead, you’ll have a chance to think about whether or not all of these to-dos on your list are actually worthy of your time, energy, and attention. Rework aspects of your schedule so that they’re more balanced and in tune with your big picture aspirations and boosting your vitality versus draining you.

COSMIC CALLING: February–March Eclipse Season: The Most Intense Shift of Early 2026 for Each Zodiac Sign

Scorpio

With Mercury’s backspin occurring in your fifth house of romance and self-expression, this can actually be a truly magical moment if you’re able to lean into a bit more flexibility and spontaneity despite being one to prefer to stick to tried-and-true game plans. This part of your chart is all about owning your voice, tapping into your artistic impulses, playing, embracing joy, getting in tune with your inner kiddo, and inviting in more lightheartedness, especially when spending time with your nearest and dearest. As Mercury spurs confusion, haziness, dreaminess, and illusion, let your imagination take the reins and see where each moment leads. Recreating date nights from the past or picking up a creative project you previously put on the shelf could be especially fulfilling.

Sagittarius

Mercury will be retrograde in your fourth house of home life, which is a super-sensitive part of your chart, overseeing your inner emotional world, sense of security, and relationships with loved ones, as well as your physical home itself. That said, trying to push forward on projects related to any of these details in your life might be especially challenging, but you can do meaningful inner work around old emotional hurts or review and revise plans from the past. This could also be a wonderful moment for reuniting with loved ones who you haven’t spent quality time with in a while, working on that family tree you started some time ago, or immersing yourself in a cozy tradition (like baking a favorite winter treat or planning a heartfelt weekend getaway) with relatives.

Capricorn

As Mercury moves back through your third house of communication, you might be buried in emails, texts, snail mail, and conversations that are either loose ends from the past that you’re being asked to tie up now or that really have no concrete purpose at all, because Mercury also happens to be the trickster planet. This is sure to drive you a little nutty, because you’re so pragmatic, logical, and grounded. You might find that giving yourself permission to slow down, streamline, and focus on old business versus feeling pressured to give into all the chaos and chatter and pressure to push ahead despite feeling like you’re attempting to swim against the tide. Your signature down-to-earth point of view will be especially appreciated whilst confusion reins supreme.

Aquarius

With Mercury moving back through your second house of income, your financial life is up for review. This could look like reassessing your approach to bringing in cash, reconnecting with a client or job from the past that could benefit your bottom line, revising your budget, or even doing some deep inner work that bolsters your self-worth and, in turn, makes you a magnet for more abundance and blessings. As one of the fixed signs, you’re a fan of familiar experiences or routines — even if you appreciate being unconventional in other ways — but because you’re also moving through a stunning change-bringing season that begins with a solar eclipse in your first house of self, you’ll do best to expect the unexpected. What you think you need could end up being very different from what you’re destined for now.

Pisces

Mercury moves back through your sign and first house of self now, urging you to think about how you can reshape how you’re showing up in the world. Whether you want to overhaul your social media or website, flirt with a makeover of some kind, or do some meaningful soul searching and emotional healing work, this spiritually charged period was made for tuning into and following your heart, your imagination, and your soul. It might be challenging to do anything super-concrete and technical, but give yourself plenty of time and space to daydream, meditate, and muse about your creative impulses, and you’ll better understand, intuitively, which direction to move in. With the lunar eclipse on March 3 occurring in your seventh house of partnership, your one-on-one bonds will also be integral to your growth.

According to shoppers, however, the flavor isn’t the only selling point for this treat.

“I was expecting these to be hard like corn nuts, but they're actually quite airy and easy to chew! And I say this as someone who grew up eating bags and bags of corn nuts. These are a new favorite sweet and savory treat!” one TJ shopper wrote via Reddit

“Bought them this morning. They have the corn nuts flavor, but won’t break your teeth! I was just telling my kid that I almost didn’t buy them for that exact reason,” a third user chimed in, while a fourth echoed, “They are quite crunchy, but don't feel like the level of breaking my teeth crunchy. I think the chocolate softens the crunch. I really like them!”

Patrick Dempsey's Gorgeous Daughter, 24, Totally Steals the Show on BAFTA Red Carpet

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 11:59am

While Patrick Dempsey regularly steals the spotlight, he may have been upstaged by his daughter, Talula Dempsey, on Sunday as she joined him on the 2026 BAFTA awards' red carpet.

Patrick, who presented at the UK award show, donned a black suit while Talula coordinated with her dad in a black dress that was complete with a high neckline and low black with sparkling straps in the back.

And fans, of course, were struck by the father-daughter-duo's good looks.

"Why am I not surprised his daughter is absolutely beautiful," one commenter wrote.

"Wow. She is stunning. Not at all surprising though," another said. "He just gets better and better looking."

"He is so handsome and his daughter is gorgeous," a third agreed.

The actor's wife, Jillian Dempsey, was also on hand as she joined her husband and daughter at the Chanel pre-BAFTA party, according to InStyle.

Also at the awards were Leonardo DiCaprio,Kate Hudson, and Timothée Chalamet.

Along with Talula, Jillian and Patrick are also parents to twin sons Darby and Sullivan.

And while Patrick shared with Parade in January that one of his sons is following in his footsteps by pursuing acting, and the other "doesn’t care about the business," Talula has taken a different direction as a pastry chef. She currently owns her own business, Talula's Kitchen.

"I’m very, very proud of her," he said. "It’s dangerous when she’s home because she’s always experimenting, and I’m always eating way too many sweet treats. And those treats come fresh right out of the oven. Oh my god, I have to be careful."

The Dempsey kids are all grown up now, but Patrick also shared that while they were too young to appreciate his role as "McDreamy" in Grey's Anatomy, they did see his 2004 Disney film.

"When they were younger, they saw Enchanted," he said of the film that also starred Amy Adams. "They couldn’t figure out how I got inside the TV. I always thought that was quite cute. That movie was brilliant and extraordinary."

1985 Cult-Classic Movie Villain, 67, Makes Rare Public Appearance and People Hardly Recognize Him

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 11:58am

Fans of the 1985 adventure comedy Pee-wee’s Big Adventure are delighted after a recent sighting of Mark Holton, known for his iconic portrayal of Francis Buxton in the ’80s cult classic. Holton, 67, made a recent appearance at the Mad Monster Party, a sci-fi and horror fan event in North Carolina. The event is known for bringing out a who’s who of top talent in the genre, including past attendees like Scream 2 star Rebecca Gayheart. This year, fans were thrilled to get up close and personal with Holton.

Mark Holton’s breakthrough role came with his portrayal of Francis Buxton in Pee-wee’s Big Adventure. The film remains a cult classic to this day, and Holton’s performance continues to make an impact on new and returning viewers alike. In videos shared to social media from Holton’s appearance at Mad Monster Party, fans rushed to the comment section, quoting Francis Buxton and sharing stories of how the actor’s performance still resonates today.

“Pee Wee’s Big Adventure is one of my most favorite movies ever. I used to call my ex-husband ‘FRANCIS’ just like Pee Wee said it,” shared one excited fan. Another quoted a memorable line from the movie, writing, “You do believe me don’t you Dad?”

A third added, “Remember the first time I saw your bike? You came riding past my house and I came running out to tell you how much I liked it even way back then?”

Others were hard-pressed to recognize Holton, no longer the baby-faced villain. One wrote, "I'm getting old. I didn't recognize him."

’80s Nostalgia Still Going Strong

Nostalgia for ’80s and ’90s movies and pop culture couldn’t be more popular today. Thanks to streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, what’s old is new again. Pee-wee’s Big Adventure remains just as beloved as when it first hit theaters in the 1980s.

Seeing favorite ’80s actors still thriving and working helps fans reconnect with the films and TV shows that helped define a generation. Lines like “I know you are but what am I?” from Pee-wee’s Big Adventure need no explanation, nor does referring to someone as “Francis.” Thanks to Holton’s indelible performance, the name Francis remains synonymous with a memorable movie villain to this day.

Mark Holton’s Career Beyond 'Pee-wee'

While Holton’s professional breakthrough came with his role as Francis Buxton, he has enjoyed a long and robust career. He appeared as Chubby in the Teen Wolf film series, played Ozzie Jones in Leprechaun, and portrayed serial killer John Wayne Gacy in the film Gacy.

Holton has also made appearances in popular television shows including Seinfeld, NCIS, and NYPD Blue, as well as films such as The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! and A League of Their Own.

Beloved 2000s Band Announces Surprise Reunion 3 Years After 'Indefinite Hiatus'

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 11:56am

Circa Survive fans got an unexpected surprise on Feb. 23, when the Anthony Green-fronted band's dormant Instagram page came back to life three years after announcing an "indefinite hiatus" to share that they're reuniting to perform at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, KY, in September 2026.

The "Act Appalled" performers, who last played together five years ago, posted the lineup to the event with no comment, and fans quickly noticed that that a "Circa Survive Reunion Show" was slated to take the stage on day three (Saturday) of the four-day event.

"Circa Alive?" joked one fan, while another added, "CIRCA SURVIVED THE HIATUS!" A third wrote, "Just stopped the f--king car, to see if this was true."

Circa Survive was formed in 2004 by vocalist Green and guitarist Colin Frangicetto, who added guitarist Brendan Ekstrom, bassist Nick Beard, and drummer Steve Clifford soon after. They put out six albums together before announcing an "indefinite hiatus" in 2022, which Green later admitted was more of a breakup.

However, in that same interview, Green may have secretly been hinting at the reunion all along. "Dude, it's it's been my dream ever since [I was] a young musician to have a band that breaks up and then gets back together... you know what I'm saying?" he told Hardlore in December 2025.

In 2025 alone, he did a solo tour for his new album So Long, Avalon, toured with L.S. Dunes and did a 20th anniversary tour with The Sound of Animals Fighting.

In 2026, he's touring in support of Microwave, but fans are hoping Circa Survive will announce a reunion tour as well.

Circa Survive clarified where the band stood in 2022, calling it an "indefinite hiatus," which Green later told Hardlore was a term "thrusted upon us." But what caused their split in the first place?

"We had a tour for Blue Sky Noise. It was like our 10 year anniversary tour... it was postponed by a pandemic like crazy, and I relapsed right before and had to go to treatment," he explained. "It was like a really stressful time for the band... all their life is is having to deal with me sometimes being accountable, sometimes being not."

The prolific singer said that his relapse got to the point where he "was so far gone" that he needed to take a break to "get help and to focus on that."

"It's a weird situation because, you know, what I want more than anything is for us all just to be friends with each other and regardless of no matter what," he said, adding that they've all stayed in contact and he's spent time with Frangicetto, Ekstrom, and Beard recently. "Circa wasn't just like a band, we were like we were a family... I never imagined the it going away the way it went and none of them would."

While Green confirmed in the interview that the band's breakup was more than a hiatus, he also left fans with hope for a future reunion. "I don't know if the band is ever going to do anything ever again, and even if it did, it wouldn't be the same. It just wouldn't," he said, while also teasing that he was "always down," and "always ready."

"Circus Survive is like the best thing that ever happened to me and I I love it more than anything, he said. "I always want to celebrate it and I always will." Now, fans will get to see the family back together again.

The art of hosting has undergone a transformation in recent years. We have moved away from the era of stiff, formal dining rooms and moved toward a more relaxed, eclectic aesthetic that prioritizes personality and warmth. Creating an inviting atmosphere doesn't necessarily require a massive renovation or a professional designer's eye. Instead, it is often the smallest details that truly define the mood of a gathering. With the season of garden parties and sun-drenched brunches fast approaching, the hunt for affordable yet stylish accents has become a necessity.

There is a unique satisfaction in discovering a piece of decor that looks far more expensive than its price tag suggests. This "high-low" approach to home styling allows for a constant rotation of trends without the guilt of overspending. Homes today aren't filled with catalog-ordered sets, but rather a curated collection of unique finds. These hidden treasures often appear in the most unexpected places, offering a chance to add a touch of whimsy and elegance to a kitchen cabinet or a bar cart. The secret to a well-decorated home is often simply knowing where to look for those high-value, low-cost pieces.
