Today, The Rolling Stones dropped their 25th studio album "Foreign Tongues," and along with it came a great release party that gave us some exciting moments.

The album has had quite the press run leading up to today, with the band getting very candid about their age, careers, legacy, and how music is still a passion for them. If there's one word I can describe the release of "Foreign Tongues" with, it's "fun." The band seems to be happy, healthy, and incredibly energized about their new music, which is great considering they've been putting music out for 62 years.

At the album release party, the band put on a great, up close performance of "You Can't Always Get What You Want," and they stunned the audience with how good they still sound all these years later.

It's really tough to hear the age with these guys. The talent they've managed to preserve over the years extremely impressive. Not only does their music sound timeless, but they do too!

It's both strange and exciting to know that the Stones have a new album out today. It's a total blast from the past as well as an incredibly exciting moment in present music history. "Foreign Tongues" is out now, and with how good the band is still sounding live, I'm sure they've got plenty left in the tank and plenty of rocking new songs to show off.

After publishing her "famous women quartet," which included the smash hit, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, author Taylor Jenkins Reid sought to publish something unlike her other bodies of work. Jenkins Reid studied the space program extensively, even living in Houston for months as part of her research. What was born became her ninth novel, the standalone historical romance Atmosphere, published last year in June of 2025.

Atmosphere was heavily anticipated with Book Riotlabeling it "the biggest book of the summer." The book was a national bestseller and released as a number one bestseller for the New York Times.

The love story has held tight to its popularity status, and as of this summer in 2026, it is still the number 2 most-read book of the year according to Goodreads. The book is only outranked by The Housemaid by Freida McFadden. As of this month, readers on Goodreads have shelved Atmosphere more than 800,000 times.

Atmosphere begins in 1980, with space-obsessed Joan Goodwin being selected from a pool of thousands of applicants for Houston’s Johnson Space Center to be one of the first women to enter the highly competitive Space Shuttle Program. Previously an astronomer and physics professor, Joan enters the program with dozens of other exceptional candidates: Top Gun pilot Hank Redmond and scientist John Griffin, mission specialist Lydia Danes, warmhearted Donna Fitzgerald, and Vanessa Ford, a magnetic and mysterious aeronautical engineer.

Set between a crisis occurring in 1984 and the lives of Joan and her fellow potential astronauts in the earlier years, the novel oscillates between the unlikely friends and lovers preparing for their first flights, while Joan discovers passion and a romance she never could have imagined leading her to question everything she thinks she knows about her place in the world.

A film adaptation of Atmosphere has been announced, with Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck of Captain Marvel attached to adapt the book for the big screen.

Atmosphere is out now wherever books are sold.

While it has been years since the Rolling Stones' longtime drummer, Charlie Watts, died in 2021, he is still a part of the band's new music — literally. Drumming from one of the late musician's final studio recording sessions is featured in the band's new album, Foreign Tongues, on the track "Hit Me In The Head."

In a new interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood honored Watts in their revealing conversation. They confirmed that Watts' drumming featured on the album was originally recorded in Los Angeles, Calif., while the Rolling Stones were working on their last album, Hackney Diamonds.

They then praised Watts' passion for the music and credited him with pushing the band to perform together in one room, which isn't often done anymore in modern music recording.

Richards said, "If the only thing you're fighting is the room and the song, you're okay, as long as you're not fighting each other. It was fun to make."

He went on, "Everybody was right on it, [including] Steve Jordan and Darryl Jones, the 'new' rhythm section. I'm sure Charlie Watts was beaming down on us, so I feel good about that." Jordan stepped in as the band's new drummer after Watts' death, while Jones is the band's bassist.

Lowe said that hearing Watts' drumming in the album was "moving," only for Wood to tease that it might not be the last fans hear of Watts. He claimed they still have "a few beats of his in the bag" from his final recording sessions that could make an appearance in future tracks.

During the conversation, Jagger also compared Watts' drumming style to that of Jordan, saying, "Whatever style he played always had swing. It wasn't like a loud powerful drummer, he was a more subtle, he was a jazz drummer really, that played rock very well."

Referring to their new drummer, he said of Jordan, "Steve's very loud in the room compared to Charlie."

It's not uncommon for bands to take time off or even break up for short periods of time, but one legendary metal band has been crowned No. 1 for having stayed active since the start of their career.

Between band tensions, going solo, or even getting fired, some bands like Black Sabbath have had their drama-fueled stories. In a list compiled by LoudWire, only one topped their list of longest-running metal bands that never broke: Iron Maiden.

Iron Maiden has been active since their debut in 1975, marking 51 years since they've been rocking out on stage and releasing music. Let's be clear: the list has ranked the band based on their having never announced an official breakup or even a hiatus. Over the years, Iron Maiden has gone through several lineup changes with its members, with bassist Steve Harris and guitarist Dave Murray remaining as original members.

"It’s a bit unreal, really,” Harris told Kerrang!. “It's a big number and you think, ‘Wow’ and it’s a bit scary as well, but it's amazing that we're still doing it I can’t speak for the rest of them, but for me, I'm 70 now and I can't believe I'm 70. Same with the band. I don't know what you're supposed to feel like when you're 70 or in a 50-year-old band, but I feel alright, really!”

The band originally formed in Leyton, East London, thanks to Harris, a few months before Christmas. Some can guess that Harris got their name from the 1939 film The Man in the Iron Mask, based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas. When Iron Maiden first formed, it went through changing members pretty quickly and originally included Harris, Paul Mario Day, Dave Sullivan, Terry Rance, and Ron Matthews.

By the time the band worked on their debut album, Iron Maiden, which was released in 1980, the lineup had changed to include Harris, Paul Di'Anno, Murray, Dennis Stratton, and Clive Burr. The band went through another shakeup over the next two years, with Bruce Dickinsontaking on vocals, Adrian Smith on guitar, and Nicko McBrain on drums.

Throughout Iron Maiden's career, their biggest breakthrough as metal icons came with the released on The Number of the Beast album in 1982. It featured classics like "Run to the Hills," "The Number of the Beast," and "Hallowed Be Thy Name." The following years further cemented them as a leading band in the metal genre with the albums Powerslave, Piece of Mind, Somewhere in Time, and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.

Decades later, the band is still releasing new music, with their 17th studio album, Senjutsu, having been released in 2021. Runner-up on Loudwire's list is none other than Saxon, who formed in 1977.

Tom Hardy's fixer is back, and this time, mercy isn't on the table. Mark your calendars - the Harrigans are coming back for round two. Paramount+ has officially set a premiere date for Season 2 of MobLand, with the British crime drama's 10-episode return landing on Sept. 18. Alongside the announcement, Paramount released a first-look teaser, giving fans their first real glimpse at what's ahead.

The news comes shortly after reports confirmed that star Tom Hardy will return for Season 3, following a contentious stretch that had briefly pushed him off the series. According to Variety, a London meeting between Hardy and the show's producers helped smooth things over, paving the way for his comeback.

As for what's ahead in Season 2, the stakes are only rising. The official synopsis teases that the Harrigan family will struggle to present a united front as new rivals close in on their already-fractured criminal empire. Hardy's character, Harry Da Souza ( the family's overstretched fixer) will reportedly find himself walking an increasingly dangerous line as tensions boil over. Expect fractured loyalties, mounting danger, and a power struggle with no easy outs.

Hardy leads a stacked cast that includes Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Johnny Flynn, and Toby Jones.

MobLand was created by Ronan Bennett, with Jez Butterworth serving as executive producer and showrunner. Hardy and Guy Ritchie also executive produce, alongside David C. Glasser, Ivan Atkinson, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, and Keith Cox. The series is produced in association with Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. And because Guy Ritchie is executive producing, you can expect the music to be as stellar as the cast.

Season 2 of MobLand premieres Sept. 18 on Paramount+.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has a big birthday to celebrate. And no, it’s not America’s 250th.  Leavitt’s oldest child, son Niko, turned two on July 10. 

Born on July 10, 2024, Niko (whose full name is Nicholas Robert Riccio) is Leavitt’s first child with husband Nicholas Riccio. The pair reportedly met in 2022. Riccio, who is 32 years Leavitt’s senior, proposed in 2023, and the couple welcomed little Niko in 2024. Nearly a year later, they married (in March of 2025) at Sea Country Club in Rye, New Hampshire.

In 2025, she opened up to PEOPLE, revealing how she met her much older husband: “A mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband.” She continued, “I was speaking. We met and we were acquainted as friends. And then we fell in love.” 

Of the age difference, Leavitt said, “I mean it’s a very atypical love story but he’s incredible.” The mom of two also talked candidly about her husband as a father, “He’s the father of my child and the best dad I could ever ask for…He is so supportive, especially during a very chaotic period of life.”

Back in 2024, Karoline shared the first glimpse of newborn Niko with the world, posting a series of sweet snapshots on Instagram. The then-new mom wrote, “July 10, 2024. 11:25 PM. The moment our son was born. The moment I officially became a mom. The best moment of my life.” She added, “It’s true when they say there’s nothing comparable to the love you feel for your child. My heart has grown bigger than I ever imagined possible. Babies are the ultimate blessing, and I’m bursting with gratitude for our beautiful, happy, healthy boy.”

Fast forward two years, and Leavitt has a toddler and another newborn. The Leavitt-Riccio family welcomed daughter Viviana (Vivi) on May 1, 2026. 

How are Karoline, Nicholas, and baby Vivi celebrating Niko on his big day? Leavitt recently shared a photo of the toddler’s cake, with a blue-and-green dino design, on her Instagram Stories. And as any parent of a two-year-old knows, a brontosaurus made out of frosting is pretty much every toddler’s dream!

Morgan Fairchild is opening up about a terrifying experience from her past.

The 76-year-old actress revealed she was once abducted on the streets of New York by two men who threatened her before ultimately letting her go in a shocking turn of events.

Fairchild shared the story on a recent episode of her podcast with sister Cathryn Hartt. She said her captors described exactly what they planned to do to her. "They were telling me all the things they were going to do to my body and all the drugs they were going to shoot me up with and all this stuff," she said.

But Fairchild refused to let them see her fear. "I'm so shy, but by God, inside there's a spine of steel," she said. "I was damned if I was going to let these guys see how scared I was."

Instead, she cracked jokes. Every threat got a wisecrack back. "We just kept going like that for a while," she said, "and finally, one of them looked at the other and said, 'You know, she's funny. Let's let her go.'"

The men then paid the cab driver and told him to take her wherever she wanted to go. Fairchild asked to be dropped off at her sister's house, and she stayed there for three days.

Fairchild's career has spanned more than five decades, from her start on Search for Tomorrow in the 1970s to primetime staples like Dallas and Falcon Crest. She's remained active in recent years too, returning to General Hospital as Haven de Havilland, a role she's reprised multiple times since 2022.

However, she's also faced difficulties along the way. In 2023, she announced the death of her longtime partner, Mark Seiler, after 36 years together. She said he had Parkinson's disease and that COVID ultimately took his life.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's lavish New York City wedding reportedly came with a six-figure bill — and city taxpayers can breathe a sigh of relief because they won't be the ones to foot it.

Speaking on Friday, July 10, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani confirmed that Swift paid to cover permits and city resources associated with the couple's highly anticipated wedding at Madison Square Garden.

"Taylor Swift has paid already the cost of the permit that was lodged, which was over $160,000 for that event and for the response to that event, and that was a permit that was finalized, I think, in just the days before the event itself," Mamdani said during a press briefing on Friday, July 10.

The wedding required permits for street closures and traffic management, while the NYPD deployed dozens of officers to help secure one of the year's most closely watched celebrity events.

According to TMZ, the reported total includes approximately $60,000 for street closure permits, with the remaining costs going toward police security and the city's response to the event.

The ceremony drew hundreds of celebrities, including pals Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, and close friends and family, while crowds of fans gathered outside Madison Square Garden hoping to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds.

Mamdani noted that the wedding arrived during an especially busy stretch for New York City, which has also hosted the New York Knicks' first championship in 53 years, the FIFA World Cup, and celebrations marking America's 250th anniversary.

"It's a number of what are both historical and generational events," the mayor said.

Details from the couple's big day continue to trickle out. As Parade has reported, the newlywed's reception reportedly featured surprise performances from Paul McCartney, who sang the Beatles classic “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” as well as Stevie Nicks. 

And funnyman Adam Sandler officiated over the couple's nups.

Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly commented on the reported costs.

His dominance continued in Final Jeopardy, as the only contestant to answer correctly, making good on his $10,00 wager for a daily total of $37,800. Meanwhile, Bergman took second place, losing his wager of $1,199 and dropping to a total of $1,801, as LeMaistre wagered nothing and ended in third place with $800. 

Groen will be back on Monday for attempt number 8.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh is taking her royal talents to radio.

A known longtime fan of the BBC Radio show, The Archers,per the BBC, the working royal made a cameo appearance in which she played herself.

"Although the show is set in the fictional village of Ambridge, Her Royal Highness traveled to BBC Mailbox in Birmingham to record her scenes, playing herself at the fictional Borchester Show in her real-life role as Honorary President of Linking Environment and Farming (LEAF)," the royal's official Instagram account shared.

"Known for embracing every engagement with genuine enthusiasm, the Duchess once again showed her down-to-earth personality and wonderful sense of humor, making this unexpected appearance all the more special," the caption continued. "It’s always a joy to see Sophie connecting with audiences in such unique and memorable ways."

Video footage shared by the BBC, which was recorded in May, showed Sophie in action rehearsing her lines with voice actress Tracy Horrobin.

Fans of the show, which was been on the air for 75 years, immediately took to the comments praising the royal for her performance.

"I love this so much!!! She sounds so lovely," said one fan.

"Sophie’s voice is so calming!" commented another.

"This is brilliant - well done Sophie!" said a third.

The BBC also reported that Queen Camilla also appeared on the radio show in 2011 and Queen Elizabeth II's sister, Princess Margaret, was on the show in 1984.

Sophie, wife to Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, who every once in a while will make appearances alongside her brother-in-law, King Charles and nephew Prince William,has established herself as a working royal.

However, the couple's two children have largely stayed out of the spotlight aside from attending major traditional events like Trooping the Colour or Christmas Day church service at Sandringham. Recently, her oldest daughter, Lady Louise, graduated from St. Andrews University, the same institution where Prince William met Kate Middleton.

While the siblings don't have official royal titles, their older cousin and the future king may have “big plans” for them according to a 2025 article from the Scottish Daily Express.

Harper Beckham is officially 15, and her big brother made sure the internet knows it.

Cruz Beckham took to Instagram today to celebrate his younger sister's birthday milestone by sharing two photos. The first is a cute throwback of Harper posing alongside Taylor Swift, with the pop star's arm wrapped around her. While the second photo is Harper jamming with a blue electric guitar

He captioned the post saying, "harper i love you more than you know, happy 15th birthday xx. "

The resurfaced photo comes just days after Swift tied the knot with NFL star Travis Kelce on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The couple got engaged in August 2025 after Kelce proposed in a flower-filled garden in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Later, actor Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, with Swift's brother, Austin, serving as her "Man of Honor" and Kelce's brother, Jason, standing in as Best Man. Swift and Kelce first went public with their relationship back in September 2023.

Mom Victoria Beckham couldn't resist chiming in with her own reaction, dropping a string of heart emojis in the comments.

Fans and well-wishers flooded the post with birthday wishes of their own, with one commenter calling Harper "the most polite 15 year old" and another praising the Beckham brothers, writing, "She's so lucky to have you & Romeo as her brothers."

Unlike her famously online family, Harper has kept her own digital footprint tightly under wraps. Her verified Instagram account is private, with just 123 followers and 30 posts shared since she joined the platform.

Harper is the youngest of David and Victoria Beckham's four children, right after older brothers Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz. Despite growing up in the spotlight, the Beckhams have largely kept Harper out of the public eye compared to her brothers.

Ringo Starr, the legendary rock drummer whose career skyrocketed in the 1960s as part of The Beatles, is returning to a well-known concert venue six decades after his former band made history while performing there.

Now, he's coming back on his own as Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band for the first time. The band has included a rotating list of talented musicians over the years, but the lineup for the 2026 tour is Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart, Gregg Bissonette, and Buck Johnson.

The 86-year-old announced the exciting news as part of a slew of tour dates set for this fall. They finished up a bunch of shows earlier this year that ended on June 14, and they're already coming back for more.

Starr shared a message alongside the announcement, writing, "We just finished a Spring tour which ended at the Greek. It was all so great – the audiences were so loving, and I just love playing with this band. I’m really looking forward to these Fall shows. See you in September – Peace and love, Ringo."

While all of the new concerts are exciting, Starr's return to the Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, N.Y., on Oct. 1 holds a little extra significance. It will be his first time at the venue since 1964, when The Beatles played two sold-out shows there on Aug. 28 and 29. These were their first-ever stadium shows.

The venue acknowledged the milestone of the upcoming show, writing on Instagram, "They were screaming at the Stadium 62 years ago and we'll all be screaming again this fall, don't miss it."

Along with the concert in Queens, Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band will stop in Easton, Pa., Bethel, N.Y., Holmdel, Washington, D.C., Boston, Mass., Portland, Maine, Wallingford, Conn., Lancaster, Pa., and Albany, N.Y. The fall tour starts on Sept. 24, and the final show will be on Oct. 7.

It looks like Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will indeed get the chance to see their grandfather, King Charles, during the Sussex family’s trip to the UK. Despite rumors that only Prince Harry would visit London due to security concerns, his wife and children are now with him in England. 

According to recent reports, Buckingham Palace confirmed the visit, releasing a statement on Friday. The King and his wife, Queen Camilla, hosted Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their two children at Highgrove House earlier in the day. 

Other than the date, approximate time, and location (the King’s private country estate in Gloucestershire, England), the royals did not provide the public with any other details. 

There’s no need to waste time scrolling through social media feeds looking for a few precious pics of the seven-year-old, five-year-old, and their royal grandfather. Per the Palace, the meeting was private. And that means new Instagram pics or video clips. 

It is not known at this time where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (and their children) are staying on their visit to England. Earlier this week, Prince Harry’s spokesman confirmed they would not stay at any of the royal residences.

Buckingham Palace’s withdrawal of an invitation for overnight accommodations sparked a controversy, with the public wondering why. The Duke of Sussex’s rep revealed that it was “disappointing that the offer has now been withdrawn” and went on to add that Harry had made “alternative security arrangements. Once those arrangements were in place, he was able to formally accept the offer of accommodation for himself over the weekend.”

Buckingham Palace did not provide a public comment on the invitation or why it was rescinded.  

This is the first visit across the pond for Harry and Meghan in four years. Their last visit was in 2022 to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. The couple privately celebrated Princess Lilibet’s first birthday and introduced King Charles to his granddaughter. But, like the current trip, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children did not make a public appearance. 

While Meghan has stayed stateside with the couple’s kids, Prince Harry has traveled to England solo. During his last trip, in September of 2025, the Duke of Sussex met with his father for a private 55-minute reunion.

Originally performed as a two-verse public performance, "Blowin' in the Wind" by Bob Dylan was officially recorded on July 9, 1962, for inclusion on his second album, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.

Dylan said of the song,

"There ain't too much I can say about this song except that the answer is blowing in the wind. It ain't in no book or movie or TV show or discussion group. Man, it's in the wind – and it's blowing in the wind. Too many of these hip people are telling me where the answer is but oh I won't believe that. I still say it's in the wind and just like a restless piece of paper it's got to come down some ... But the only trouble is that no one picks up the answer when it comes down so not too many people get to see and know ... and then it flies away. I still say that some of the biggest criminals are those that turn their heads away when they see wrong and know it's wrong. I'm only 21 years old and I know that there's been too many wars ... You people over 21, you're older and smarter."

The song was first performed in its entirety on TV in the UK in January of 1963, during Madhouse on Castle Street for the BBC. During his first televised US performance, Dylan also performed the track.

"Blowin' in the Wind" has been critically acclaimed over the years and became a staple for the civil rights movement. Critic and music historian Andy Gill wrote of the song,

"'Blowin' in the Wind' marked a huge jump in Dylan's songwriting. Prior to this, efforts like 'The Ballad of Donald White' and 'The Death of Emmett Till' had been fairly simplistic bouts of reportage songwriting. "Blowin' in the Wind" was different: for the first time, Dylan discovered the effectiveness of moving from the particular to the general."

"Blowin' in the Wind" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1994. Rolling Stone ranked it at number 14 on its list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time."
