Taylor Swift Goes Makeup-Free in Rare Studio Clip After ‘Opalite’ Hits No. 1

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 5:57am

Taylor Swiftis celebrating something big—and doing it completely barefaced.

After “Opalite” officially hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Monday, February 23, the 36-year-old pop star marked the moment by sharing a series of behind-the-scenes clips on Instagram, including a rare makeup-free video from the recording studio. In the first video Swift appears with her natural blonde curls and fresh face while working alongside longtime collaborator Max Martin.

"Just a few Opalite memories to celebrate the Hot 100 #1 you guys just got this song!!" she wrote in the caption. "I can’t even sum up my excitement and I’m so blown away by the love you’ve shown this song and video."

View this post on Instagram

The achievement marks Swift’s 14th No. 1 single, tying her with Rihanna for the third-most Hot 100 chart-toppers in history. She also pointed out that this is just the second time she’s had two songs from the same album reach No. 1—the last being 2014’s 1989.”This is actually the first time I’ve had two Hot 100 #1s off of one album since my album 1989 came out in 2014, nearly twelve years ago! “

"I know that’s a lot of numbers but it all adds up to me being so thankful to the fans who helped make this happen by welcoming this song into your lives with open arms," she continued. "Seriously bouncing off the walls about this!!"

Swift also shared clips from the “Opalite” music video shoot, featuring a clip of her practicing her killer dance moves, and another where she transformed into a full 1980s-inspired character, complete with a brown wig and bold glam. In one costume video, she admitted, "Never in my life have I felt so myself," adding, "This is actually who I was meant to be."

Beyond the milestone, “Opalite” carries a rather personal message for the songstress. The track, featured on The Life of a Showgirl, was inspired by her soon-to-be husband Travis Kelce and reflects on growth after heartbreak. In an October 2025 interview with Hits Radio, Swift explained, “When we go through something that doesn’t work out, we oftentimes look at it as this major setback, like we’ve taken a step back.”

She summed up the meaning of the song: “Opalite’ is a song about forgiving yourself for having gone through something that didn’t pan out the way you wanted it to. It’s giving yourself permission to not have it all figured out or not marry the first person you ever dated.”

Though it's not confirmed, Swift and Kelce are rumored to be tying the knot this summer. The duo announced their engagement with the world back in August 2025.

‘I Tried Wall Pilates for 30 Days and Was Honestly Blown Away by the Results’

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 5:45am

Wall Pilates serves as a stellar workout for building core strength, balance, flexibility and posture—but the benefits don’t stop there. This form of strength training can also improve digestion, circulation and even your sleep. It’s low-impact—and all you need is a wall to get started, making it a convenient workout to perform anytime, anywhere.

If you’re skeptical about how effective Pilates can be without a reformer, rest assured, you’ll still get an incredible full-body workout with wall Pilates.

“Traditional Pilates is usually on the mat or on equipment like the reformer, where you’re working against gravity, springs or your own body weight,” explains Elma Panagaki, a 500-hour certified Yoga and Pilates Instructor at Bay Club. “With wall Pilates, the wall supports you, but it can also challenge you. Using the wall makes it easier to understand alignment and how your core should be working. Some movements feel more guided, but that doesn’t mean they’re easier; they can actually be very intense.”

Both methods stay true to the same basic principles of Pilates, just with different set-ups.

I’ve taken traditional Pilates classes before, and I’m a major fan of the reformer and spring wall, which create added resistance. But I was looking for an effective way to boost my core strength in my small home gym without equipment. I decided to try wall Pilates for 30 days and was blown away by the results.

The Benefits of Wall Pilates

According to Vanessa Johnson, NPCP & Director of Instructor Training at Club Pilates, the “closest relative” to wall Pilates would be mat Pilates. A wall offers added support—especially for those with hip or lower back issues—helping Pilates-goers build strength throughout the body in a low-impact way.

“Wall Pilates exercises strengthen all the major muscle groups, including the ‘Powerhouse’ (knees to shoulders—front, side and back),” says Lynda Lippin, a Master Pilates Teacher with 36 years of experience who’s currently based at Bombshell Pilates in New York City.

Overall, wall Pilates helps individuals connect—or reconnect—with their bodies. Plus, it’s more seamless to activate your core and perform each movement with control.

“The wall helps to feel more stable and confident, especially if they’re newer to Pilates or coming back after an injury,” Panagaki tells Parade. “But also, it can still be very challenging because you’re working against resistance and focusing on alignment. When you’re using the wall, you naturally become more aware of how you’re standing, sitting and moving. It’s a simple setup, but it’s very effective for building strength, stability and overall body awareness.”

Beyond the physical benefits, wall Pilates is an excellent alternative to traditional Pilates for anyone who wants to work out at home or save money on membership costs.

My Experience With Wall Pilates

I work from home and rarely take breaks from my laptop, so I was eager to find a workout I genuinely looked forward to and could seamlessly squeeze into my day. After all, enjoying exercise is key to maintaining a sustainable routine in the long run!

Lippin recommends weaving Pilates into mobility or low-impact training sessions, starting with every other day, then every day—so I followed her lead. For the first week, I performed wall Pilates on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and did my typical walking routine on Tuesday and Thursday. For the next three weeks, I did the workout Monday through Friday.

Here’s what my workout looked like.

1. Legs up the wall

Syncing your breath with each move is a crucial part of the Pilates practice—and something my type-A self can always improve on. Whenever I’m feeling stressed or trying to transition from a day full of activity into relaxation mode, I perform legs up the wall, which is something Nandini Basu, NPCP & Lead Instructor at Club Pilates, suggested that I begin my routine with. It helped me focus on each breath and feel more grounded.

“Pilates breath work targets filling up the lungs, widening out left and right front and back in what we call 3D breathing,” Basu says.

I stayed in the position and focused on taking deep inhales and exhales for about five minutes.

2. Wall bridge post

Glute briges are a mat exercise I’m quite familiar with—but the wall bridge pose offers a unique spin. For this bridge variation, I lay flat on my back, pressed my feet into the wall, tucked my tailbone and used control to lift and lower my hips. I did this exercise for two sets of 10 to 12 reps.

“This activates the glutes, engages the core and supports the lower back,” explains Panagaki.

Related: What Muscles Does Pilates Actually Work? Trainers Break it Down

3. Wall roll-downs

Next up, I completed eight reps of Pilates wall roll-downs. I stood with my back pressed against the wall and slowly rolled my spine down and back up, one vertebrae at a time. According to Panagaki, this exercise promotes solid posture and helps alleviate tension in the back.

4. Wall squats

I can always count on squats to give my lower body a productive workout. This variation called for me to stand tall with my back pressed flat against the wall and slide down into a squat, all while engaging my legs and core. The 20 to 30-second hold at the bottom was where I really felt the burn in my quads. I did this exercise for three sets.

Related: The #1 Exercise To Do at Home To Help You Feel More Limber

5. Single-leg ab work

I wrapped up each session with single-leg abdominal work. I began by lying flat on my back with one foot pressing into the wall, then lifted the other leg and grounded my lower back into the floor. I slowly lifted and lowered my free leg while bracing my abs. I did this exercise for two sets of eight to 10 reps on each side.

CAlexa Mellardo

Final Takeaways

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how effective wall Pilates was using just my body weight. I was even more surprised by how great I felt after each session—even during the first week when I was taking things slow. It proved that every bit of movement I add to my day has the power to lift my mood and make me feel all-around healthier.

With just the right exercises on deck—and an accurate set and rep count—I learned you can feel accomplished with minimal to zero equipment. This routine is simple enough for me to fit into my workdays while still making an impact on my fitness. I also appreciated the flexibility of doing these exercises at home rather than going to a studio.

That said, I understand why traditional Pilates sessions include the reformer, springboard and tools like the magic circle and Pilates ball. They introduce resistance and present a greater challenge than using body weight alone.

Based on my personal experience, I believe Pilates classes serve as a strong foundation, while weaving in wall Pilates sessions at home for days I can’t make it to class creates a well-rounded fitness regimen.

Yungblud’s Festival Announcement Features Major ’90s Alt Rocker

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 5:32am

Yungblud shared big news with fans early on the morning of Feb. 24, 2026. His epic and accessibly-priced music festival, BLUDFEST, is officially back. Keep reading to learn more about the 2026 lineup.

Created from a vision of building something more than just another music event, BLUDFEST was founded on the idea of creating a space where fans can show up exactly as they are, where individuality is embraced, and where music becomes a shared language of belonging. It’s a concept that has clearly resonated, because the third annual edition is growing louder, bigger, and even crossing international borders.

The 28-year-old, born Dominic Harrison, created the event as a way to make music festivals like it accessible to fans again. Instead of paying hundreds of dollars to see multiple artists in a single day, fans can snag Bludfest tickets were around $63 in 2024.

"I was in the U.S. last summer and it was the first time playing amphitheaters...There were kids outside of the venue who said they had to listen to the concert from outside because they couldn’t afford to come in," the Idols singer told Billboard. "It hurt me when I heard that."

"£250 for a ticket is making me sick," he continued. "I wanted to make something feasible in a world where music has become a thing of privilege. I don’t want my shows to only be full of people who can afford it."

Bludfest 2026 Lineup

For 2026, BLUDFEST is heading to Hradec Králové, marking a bold new chapter for the rapidly expanding festival. This year’s roster blends legendary names with some of today’s most exciting voices. Fans can expect performances from Yungblud, Biffy Clyro, Primal Scream, Palaye Royale, Destroy Lonely, Leap, Pale Waves, Jesse Jo Stark (Yungblud's significant other), Bambie Thug, Nieve Ella, and Pom Pom Rabbit.

The mix of genres and generations mirrors the festival’s core identity of diversity, expression, and a shared sense of community through music.

Beyond the artists, BLUDFEST continues to frame itself as something more personal than a typical festival experience. Its messaging emphasizes authenticity, inclusivity, and the power of live music to connect people across backgrounds and borders. That ethos has become a defining feature of the event, setting it apart in an increasingly crowded festival landscape.

For fans eager to secure their spot, presale access opens Thursday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. CET. Early registration is encouraged, with organizers urging attendees to sign up in advance to receive presale codes.

Kate Middleton Shares Her Kids' Secret Obsession

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 5:30am

Kate Middleton was overheard on the BAFTAs red carpet, revealing that her kids have a secret obsession, a passion that brings her whole family together.

HELLO! Magazine reported that the Princess of Wales had a conversation with Emily Stillman, Chair of Bafta's Film Committee, where they discussed one hobby that her whole family enjoys.

"Last time I saw you, you were pregnant with George, and you were doing yourHarry Potter spells," Stillman told the royal. She referenced Prince William and Kate's 2013 tour of the Harry Potter set at Warner Brothers studios in Hertfordshire.

The Princess of Wales responded, "I was saying how much the children [Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis] would love to look around. They love the idea of going behind the scenes [of movies href="https://parade.com/1222580/samuelmurrian/best-movies-all-time/"] and finding out how it all happens."

"The children are starting to get interested in films," the princess added. "And it's a really great way to have some of the hard conversations with them."

Previously, PEOPLE Magazine reported that in 2025, Kate took her three children to visit the set of the upcoming Harry Potter television series. The series is reportedly set to premiere on HBO in 2027 and will star Dominic McLaughlin (Harry Potter), Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley), and Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger).

Prince William and Kate Middleton marked their joint return to the BAFTAs with the 2026 awards show. The couple last walked the red carpet together in 2023, as Kate missed the 2024 and 2025 ceremonies due to her cancer treatment. William has served as BAFTA's president since 2010.

The movie awards show was the first time William and Kate were seen together publicly since the arrest of ex-Prince Andrew. The royal was arrested on February 19, 2026, on suspicion of misconduct.

Neither the Prince nor the Princess of Wales had any comment about the royal family member when attending the star-studded film event. However, that didn't stop outsiders from trying to get answers.

PEOPLE Magazine reported that someone asked, "Is the monarchy in peril?" The couple did not respond to that query.

1971 Hit Ranked No. 1 ‘Greatest Song of All Time’ in New Book

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 5:23am

In a new music book released in December 2025, one of the most iconic songs of the 20th century has officially claimed the top spot.

In “The 100 Greatest Songs of All Time: Create Your Ultimate Playlist,” author Carolyn McHugh ranks "Imagine" byJohn Lennon as the No. 1 greatest song of all time.

The book celebrates 100 landmark tracks spanning pop, rock, soul, folk and funk, with a significant number of selections drawn from the 1960s and 1970s—decades the author describes as a period of an "explosion of creativity and innovation" full of "cultural and social upheavals," which provided "fertile ground for musical expression."

RELATED: Only Artist Ever to Have No. 1 Hits Before, During and After The Beatles Topped the Charts 50 Years Ago Today

Originally released in 1971, “Imagine” was written by Lennon and wife Yoko Ono and produced by Ono alongside Phil Spector. The song peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and reached No. 6 in the U.K. before later returning to No. 1 in Britain following Lennon’s death in 1980.

In the book, McHugh describes “Imagine” as one of Lennon’s most enduring works—a cultural touchstone with a "powerful message of hope, peace and unity," "simple, yet profound lyrics," and a "hauntingly beautiful melody."

Beyond chart performance, the song has become a global anthem, frequently performed at commemorative events and New Year’s Eve celebrations in New York City.

The Beatles had three entries on the list: "Hey Jude" came in at No. 39, "I Want to Hold Your Hand" ranked No. 7, and "Yesterday" was ranked right behind "Imagine" at No. 2.

McHugh, a writer specializing in popular music and culture, has also authored books on artists ranging from Elvis Presley and Elton John to modern pop stars. She has additional titles on David Bowie andJames Taylor scheduled for release in 2026.

But in this ranking, it is Lennon’s 1971 classic that stands above them all.

Freddy’s Bets Big on Permanent Senior Menu: The 'Coastal Grandmother' Vibe Just Hit the Drive-Thru

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 5:09am

In an era where every brand is pivoting to Gen Z with neon aesthetics and influencer boxed meals, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers just pulled a classic "hold my milkshake" move. The retro-inspired chain is leaning into its mid-century roots by officially rolling out a dedicated Senior Meals (55+) menu—proving that while TikTok might own the trends, the Silver Foxes own the vibe. This brand announces the pricing isn’t a limited-time discount; it’s a permanent residency for the 55-and-better crowd.

Freddy’s is pivoting away from the early bird special tropes of yesteryear. Instead, they are giving a loyal demographic exactly what the market data suggests they want: curated portions without the excess. According to a statement from the brand, each senior meal comes standard with a small drink and a choice of small fries or tots, though the customers who want a bit extra can still opt for a premium side upgrade.

The lineup functions like a greatest hits album of American comfort food, featuring the brand's staples:

  • The Single Cheeseburger: The signature steakburger patty with American cheese, mustard, onion, and pickle.
  • The Crispy or Grilled Chicken: Two distinct takes on the chicken sandwich, ranging from a classic fry to a lighter lettuce-and-tomato build.
  • The All-Beef Hot Dog: A traditional staple served with a customizable condiment spread.

"We're excited to add Senior Meals to the menu and to give our senior guests the option of ordering some of their Freddy's favorites at a great value," said Erin Walter, CMO. "Every meal is prepared and presented with the premium quality and craveable taste guests expect whenever they dine at Freddy's."

Freddy's Single Cheeseburger Senior Meal (Photo: Freddy's).

For the pop culture enthusiast, this move reflects a broader aesthetic shift. Social media users have seen the "Coastal Grandmother" and "Grand-millennial" trends dominate social feeds, emphasizing a return to quality, comfort, and timelessness over fleeting digital gimmicks. Freddy’s is effectively meeting that energy at the table.

By making these meals a permanent fixture, the brand is acknowledging that its 55+ guests are an important part of their customer base. While many fast-casual competitors are prioritizing digital-first strategies aimed at younger cohorts, Freddy’s is doubling down on a reliable consumer base that values consistency and traditional hospitality. This move aligns with broader industry trends where value-driven menus are becoming essential tools for maintaining foot traffic during fluctuating economic cycles.

It’s a strategic play that feels both nostalgic for the guest and pragmatically forward-thinking for the brand’s bottom line.

This Flash Sale Makes a Trip to Paris Cheaper Than a U.S. Domestic Flight

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 5:02am

It’s not uncommon for a domestic flight within the United States to cost $500 or more round trip. But here’s the thing–would you rather pay $500 to go from New York City to Miami, or would you rather spend less than that but make it a trip to Paris instead?

The airline Frenchbee is making this possible with its special eco-efficient Airbus fleet. The airline is committed to offering accessible flights for both individuals and families, and provides a fare structure that allows people to choose tickets from Basic Economy to Premium Cabin options.

Currently, there are roundtrip fares with Frenchbee available for just $355. This includes trips straight to Paris from Newark, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco. These prices, of course, are the cheapest options offered from the airline. This budget option is called Bee Light. With a Bee Light ticket, you would get a carry-on up to 26 pounds and a personal item. There isn’t a meal included in the flight, so you’d want to make sure to grab something in the airport before takeoff. Lastly, if you want to choose a specific seat, there will be a fee for that.

If you’re worried about traveling with just a carry-on and personal item, you’ll want to read some of our tips on how to make that happen. Trust us, once you give it a go, you’ll figure out that saving that extra money is very much worth it.

Now more than ever is a great time to make the trip to Paris. In Spring 2026 alone, you’ll be able to catch some amazing events, like the Paris marathon and cherry blossom season. If you’re traveling with little ones, this is a great time to visit Disneyland Paris. The park has recently undergone one of its biggest transformations yet, with a grand opening of Disney Adventure World in late March. This park will feature a World of Frozen, World of Pixar and Marvel Universe attractions as well.

Walmart’s $43 5-Tier Rolling Shelf Is 'Instant Storage' for Cluttered Spaces

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 4:45am

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

If your kitchen counters are doing double duty as storage because there simply isn’t another cabinet to spare, the Cookcok 5-Tier Storage Shelving Unit is now $43 at Walmart, down from $130. The metal shelving unit comes in black, blue, and white and measures 27.9 inches long by 13.4 inches deep by 62.5 inches high, giving you vertical storage without requiring a full pantry overhaul.

It’s made from powder-coated steel with a triangular frame designed for durability. Each shelf holds up to 150 pounds without the wheels attached or under 110 pounds with the wheels installed, and the overall load capacity makes it useful for appliances, pantry goods, storage bins, and cleaning supplies. It includes four bonus hooks for hanging smaller items, 360-degree rotating wheels with two locking options, and leveling feet if you prefer to keep it stationary. Plus, the entire unit folds flat, which means it can slide behind a door or into a narrow space.

This versatile unit can become a rolling appliance cart when blenders, air fryers, and mixers have overtaken your countertops, or it can hold baking supplies, craft materials, or even stuffed animals and figurines if it ends up in a bedroom. Some buyers have used it inside closets, placing two side by side for fabric storage, while others treat it as a folding plant shelf near a window.

Shoppers have described it as “sturdy, cute, and highly functional.” One buyer shared, “My kitchen is small with limited counter space. This was a great solution,” while another said, “Buy these if you have no space.” A third explained, “This is pretty much instant storage, all you have to do is unfold the shelves and install the rollers on the bottom,” while someone else noted, “It was by far the easiest thing I have ever set up!”

Because the shelving unit folds, rolls, and doesn’t require tools, this shelf is flexible with placement rather than being a permanent fixture. You can move it around as your needs change, whether that’s hosting guests, reorganizing a closet, or clearing off a crowded counter.

Priced at under $50, the Cookcok 5-Tier Storage Shelving Unit offers an affordable way to add storage without committing to built-ins or heavy furniture. Van Halen Legend Questions Adding New Singer for Unheard Eddie Tracks

Tue, 02/24/2026 - 4:11am

Michael Anthony weighed in on the upcoming Van Halen project that Alex Van Halen has been teasing—and he shared some advice to his former bandmate.

Amid rumors that an upcoming album will feature previously unreleased music by late guitarist Eddie Van Halen, Anthony, 71, told Cleveland’s WNCX he thinks the best way to go would be an all-instrumental tribute to the legendary guitarist, who died in 2020 at age 65.

"The way I personally feel about it is, if they wanted to do it justice, [the best idea would be] to just finish it up as a great instrumental nod to Eddie," the veteran VH bassist said, per Ultimate Classic Rock.

Anthony continued, "You know, because getting a new singer in there, we're not forming a new band, and then you've got to work on lyrics and all that stuff. And who knows when anything would be put out at that point."

Anthony was the original bassist for Van Halen from 1974 to 2006. He performed on the band’s first 11 albums but is not involved in the current project fronted by Alex Van Halen.

In an interview posted on the  YouTube channel KazaGastao, Alex Van Halen addressed his plan to add new artists to the unheard Van Halen material.

“Many people have asked, what about releasing unreleased stuff? Well, we're not gonna release it in its embryonic form because it wouldn't make any sense," he explained. "It has to be of the quality and the level of where we left it. These are recordings that were going to be the next record, and that ... stopped because [Ed] didn't live that long.”

Alex revealed that he has been working with Toto frontman Steve Lukather, “who was a good friend of Ed’s," on “putting a record together.” He added that the “drums, the guitar, and the bass are already in there.”

Alex Van Halen also revealed that he approached Bad Company legend Paul Rodgers to perform vocals on the album, but was humbly turned down. He also mentioned Robert Plant as a possible vocalist on his wish list.

"I'm 72,” Alex added. “We gotta find somebody in that age group who was exposed to the same musical experience that we have. Otherwise, it doesn't have the depth.”

RELATED:  ‘80s Rocker Calls Out Former Bandmates Amid Reunion Tours

Michael Anthony recently talked about the “bond” the Van Halen brothers had that no one could break. "Even from the beginning of Van Halen, it was always the brothers,” he told the Talkin' Rock With Meltdown podcast in February 2026.

"Because Eddie and Al had this bond that [was] unlike any bond I had ever seen brothers have — musically and also as human beings," Anthony shared. "And so people naturally say it's the brothers and everybody else. But they always supported one another in anything that they did. And so, you know what?! Thinking about it, I guess it was the brothers and everybody else."

Hilary Duff is paying tribute to her late TV father, Lizzie McGuire star Robert Carradine.

The former Disney Channel actress took to her Instagram late Monday (Feb. 23) to share her condolences after news broke that Carradine had died following a nearly two-decade battle with Bipolar Disorder. In a post, Duff remembered Carradine's kindness on set.

"This one hurts. It’s really hard to face this reality about an old friend. There was so much warmth in the McGuire family and I always felt so cared for by my on-screen parents. I’ll be forever grateful for that," Duff wrote, adding photos from their time working together.

She continued, "I’m deeply sad to learn Bobby was suffering. My heart aches for him , his family, and everyone who loved him. 💔"

Carradine portrayed Sam McGuire on both seasons of Lizzie McGuire as well as The Lizzie McGuire Movie. He was also set to reprise his role on the ill-fated Lizzie McGuire reboot.

Following Carradine's death, his family remembered him in a statement and reflected on his mental health struggles.

"It is with profound sadness that we must share that our beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and brother Robert Carradine has passed away. In a world that can feel so dark, Bobby was always a beacon on light to everyone around him,” his family began.

They continued, "We are bereft at the loss of this beautiful soul and want to acknowledge Bobby’s valiant struggle against his nearly two-decade battle with Bipolar Disorder. We hope his journey can shine a light and encourage addressing the stigma that attaches to mental illness."

Our thoughts are with Robert Carradine's friends, family and costars during this difficult time.

Benicio del Toro Reveals Unique 'Connection' With Non-Actors in 'One Battle After Another'

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 11:53pm

Sean Penn may have just scooped the BAFTA Film Award for Best Supporting Actor, but many fans' favorite performance in One Battle After Another goes to fellow Oscar-winner Benicio del Toro.

Both renowned performers are Academy Award-nominated for their standout turns in director Paul Thomas Anderson's latest film, which actually has a whopping 13 nods going into next month's ceremony.

In the meantime, del Toro, 59, opened up in a new interview about his unique first day on set of the acclaimed film, which involved a scene in El Paso, Texas alongside lead actor Leonardo DiCaprio — and a few Spanish-speaking storeowners.

Anderson, 55, put DiCaprio, 51, and Del Toro in charge of communicating with the non-actors, as del Toro told The Hollywood Reporter.

"There’s real money from the store. And I’m taking money out of there [for the scene]," del Toro tells the magazine in a cover-story article published on Monday, Feb. 23. "And the lady is sitting right next to me. She’s looking at me like this [widening her eyes]. And then I give it back when Paul called ‘cut.’ But that was her money, not prop money."

The Usual Suspects star continued, "Suddenly there’s this connection between the non-actors and Leo and myself. And Leo and I, we talked a little bit about it. We were in charge here. This was our show. These non-actors were looking to us to know what to do. And so for Leo and I, our heads instantly pointed in the same direction — it was a bonding moment."

Check out another memorable scene between del Toro and DiCaprio below:

Also during his THR interview, del Toro spoke candidly about grief, having lost his mother when he was a child. Fausta Genoveva Sánchez Rivera died of hepatitis when he was just 9 years old.

“I’m still dealing with it,” he said. “I had my mother for nine years. What is crazy about losing a parent at that age is that there hasn’t been one day in my life that I haven’t thought about her.”

1990s Country Duo’s No. 1 Hit Among ‘Greatest Country Songs of All Time’ Released 34 Years Ago Today

Mon, 02/23/2026 - 11:29pm

Brooks & Dunn have a long list of hits in their catalog, and one such timeless classic that has long resonated with both country music and artists alike is the duo’s heartbreak track, “Neon Moon.”

The award-winning country music artists, made up of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, released the song 34 years ago today on Feb. 24, 1992, as the third single from their debut album, Brand New Man. An instant hit, the song quickly topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, becoming the act’s third consecutive No. 1 behind Brand New Man’s title track and“My Next Broken Heart.”

The Lyrics

Written solely by Dunn, the song’s subject matter focuses on a lonesome and heartbroken man yearning over a lost love. He spends his time at a rundown bar across the railroad tracks, where he drowns his sorrows “drink by drink,” and promises the light of the neon moon will help ease his pain.

“Oh, if you lose your one and only / There's always room here for the lonely / To watch your broken dreams / Dance in and out of the beams / Of a neon moon,” the stirring chorus of the song goes.

Commercial Success

Surprisingly, “Neon Moon” was not given a video treatment, but the lack of one did not hinder the commercial success of the song. Since its release, the song has earned 5x Platinum certification, underscoring its enduring popularity. Though the tune didn’t win any major awards, the track has also landed at No. 41 onRolling Stone’s ranking of 200 Greatest Country Songs of All Time in 2024.

Other Versions

Over the years, “Neon Moon” has been covered by various artists. Kacey Musgraves released a version of the song for Brooks & Dunn’s 2019 duets album Reboot, while Morgan Wallen reimagined the song for the band’s 2024 Reboot II album.

Other artists who offered covers of the popular song include Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, the latter of whom duetted the track with Gwen Stefani, John Legend, and Blake Shelton as part of a Kellyoke segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show
