Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially making their debut as newlyweds.

One week after tying the knot in a star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden, the couple stepped out Friday, July 10, for their first public appearance as husband and wife while attending the wedding of Kelce's former Kansas City Chiefs teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster and Laura Kruk at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Orange County, California.

According to Page Six, Swift looked glamorous in a strapless pink floral ball gown paired with her signature red lipstick, while Kelce opted for a tailored gray suit. The couple was photographed holding hands as they made their way into the oceanfront ceremony before mingling with fellow guests.

The outing comes after the pair kept a relatively low profile following their lavish July 3 wedding, which transformed Madison Square Garden into a spectacular garden venue for more than 1,000 guests. The grand affair, as Parade has reported, cost the couple $160,000 in fees for New York City-related permits and city resources alone.

Before heading to California, the newlyweds, according to the outlet, were reportedly spotted in Montana spending time with Jason Kelce and Kylie Kelce.

It's been a busy month for the loved-up couple. Just one week before they took over Madison Square Garden, Swift surprised Nashville fans with a performance of her 2008 hit "Love Story" — a fitting choice, as the song was reportedly also played as she walked down the aisle at her own wedding.

Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023 and announced their engagement in August 2025 before exchanging vows earlier this month.

Known for its volcanic black sand shores, staggering pitons, rejuvenating mud baths, and posh all-inclusive resorts, what's commonly been a huge draw sending tourism soaring has been its safe reputation, even with notoriously late-night weekend block parties taking over the capital, Castries.

Prior to the latest advisory update, resorts were largely considered safe havens with one caveat. Back in February, the U.S. Embassy issued a rare security alert singling out one specific property — Ladera Resort.

Take that for what it's worth, but the new State Department advisory explicitly states, "Guests at tourist resorts have been victims of violent crimes."

Additionally, reports of slow response times for emergencies, petty crimes, and scams also played a role in the State Department's decision.

Some songs don’t just top the charts—they become part of pop culture forever. That’s exactly what happened when Rick James released “Super Freak” on July 10, 1981, turning an irresistible funk groove into the biggest hit of his career and creating a song that still fills dance floors over four decades later.

By the summer of 1981, James was already a major force at Motown, thanks to hits like “You and I” and “Give It to Me Baby.” But “Super Freak,” featured on his blockbuster Street Songs album, pushed him into an entirely different league. Mixing funk, rock, new wave, and R&B, the infectious track centered around its unforgettable bass line and the instantly recognizable opening lyric, “She’s a very kinky girl.”

Ironically, the song that became the music pioneer's signature hit and personal best-selling song of all time wasn’t crafted over time. In fact, it was an afterthought. “I was in the studio and everything else for the album was done,” James recalled to Musician magazine in a 1983 interview, per uDiscover Music. "I just put ‘Super Freak’ together really quickly. I wanted a silly song that had a bit of new wave texture to it. So I just came up with this silly little lick and expounded on it. And I put a very operatic vocal structure on it ‘cause I’m really into opera and classical music."

Early versions contained even racier lyrics, but after advice from Los Angeles radio programmer Alonzo Miller, James toned them down to make the record more radio-friendly—a decision that paid off in a big way. (Miller ultimately received a songwriting credit alongside James.)

The recording itself featured another Motown connection. Members of The Temptations supplied the background vocals, helping give the track its unmistakable call-and-response energy, per Classic Motown.

The resulting track saw massive commercial success. “Super Freak” climbed to No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, reached No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot Soul Singles chart, and topped the Dance Club Play chart, hitting No. 1. It also became James’ biggest crossover pop hit and helped propel Street Songs to become the best-selling album of his career.

And the song’s story (obviously) didn’t end in the ’80s. Nearly a decade later, its iconic bass riff found a second life when MC Hammer sampled it for the blockbuster 1990 smash “U Can’t Touch This.” James received songwriting credit, reportedly earned more than $1 million from the sample, and shared in the Grammy-winning success of the new hit.

In the decades since, artists like Nicki Minaj andJay-Z have continued introducing the groove to new generations through fresh takes and samples.

Among other accolades, Rolling Stone ranked the song No. 477 on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time in 2004, No. 481 in 2010, and No. 153 on the most up-to-date version of the list, published in 2021. The song was also nominated for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance at the 1982 Grammys.

Today, 45 years after its release, “Super Freak” remains the song most closely associated with the artist. Its funky bass line, unforgettable hook, and larger-than-life swagger have made it one of the defining records of the 1980s—a rare hit that’s equally at home on classic radio stations, movie soundtracks, wedding playlists, and social media trends.

Inspired by both a young fan and a bank clerk who flirted with her husband in the early days of their marriage, iconic musician Dolly Parton wrote the song "Jolene" in 1973. According to Parton, she wrote the iconic tune the same night she wrote the hit song, "I Will Always Love You."

"Jolene" was released in January of 1974 ahead of the album by the same name. The song became Parton's second solo number-one single on the country charts, and her first time charting on the Billboard Hot 100. Upon being released in the UK, it became her first time charting in that country as well.

"Jolene" is told from the perspective of the narrator confronting the aforementioned Jolene, a beautiful, red-headed woman who she (the narrator) is worried will be able to steal "her man." The narrator continuously repeats throughout the song to Jolene, "Please don't take him just because you can." Jolene's intentions are not totally clear throughout the song, and it has been left up to different interpretations over the years. However, Parton has said that since Jolene is based (at least in part) on a true story, it's partially why she doesn't love singing it in performances.

According to Parton, "Jolene" is one of her most frequently covered songs. The most famous covers are likely those by the acapella group Pentatonix and the cover done in 2024 by Beyoncé. Pentatonix (with a feature by Parton!) went on to win the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their cover. Beyoncé's version was included on her Grammy Award-winning album, Cowboy Carter, and the song was nominated for the Cover Song of the Year at the People's Country Awards.

"Jolene" is widely considered by critics to be one of the best songs in country music, and potentially of all time. Time included the track on its list of the "ALL-TIME 100 Best Songs," and Rolling Stone ranked the song at 63 on their list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time."

Jungle Rot teased their followers with more performances amid the band's Back to the Old School Tour 2026.

As they wrap up their European run this August, the American death metal band is keeping the momentum going by heading to North America for another series of shows.

In an Instagram update, the quartet featuring Dave Matrise on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Geoff Bub on lead guitar, James Genenz on bass and Spenser Syphers on drums announced that they will join Vader on the Reign Forever In Kingdom Of Blood Tour 2026.

Some of the most enduring songs are written long before their creators become stars.

That was the case with "House at Pooh Corner." Kenny Loggins wrote the nostalgic ballad when he was just 17 years old, years before finding fame as one half of Loggins and Messina. Released in 1971, the song became one of the duo's signature recordings and remains one of soft rock's most cherished classics.

The inspiration came from a childhood favorite.

Drawing from A.A. Milne's beloved Winnie-the-Pooh stories, Loggins wrote the song as a reflection on growing up and the longing to hold onto the innocence of youth. Rather than simply retelling the adventures of Pooh, Tigger and Christopher Robin, the lyrics use the familiar characters as symbols of childhood memories and the bittersweet transition into adulthood.

"(I was) going on graduation in high school, and for some reason, I was thinking about that last chapter in The House at Pooh Corner," Loggins told The Tennessean. "It was the first book I ever read. The last chapter is where Christopher Robin is leaving the Hundred Acre Wood, and he's telling everybody goodbye. I felt like that was akin to what I was going through in high school. Some part of me knew that I was leaving my childhood behind. I didn't really think it through like that. It just sort of came through."

The song had actually been recorded before Loggins and Messina made it famous.

In 1970, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band released the first version of "House at Pooh Corner," introducing listeners to Loggins' songwriting.

"At this one party that I went to, there were a couple of guys from a band called the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band," Loggins said. "They were an up-and-coming act, and they loved that song. They said, 'We're looking for songs for our album. We want to record that.'"

A year later, Loggins and Jim Messina recorded their own rendition for the album Sittin' In, and it quickly became the definitive version.

Built around acoustic guitars, gentle harmonies and Loggins' warm vocal delivery, the recording perfectly captured the mellow, introspective sound that would help define the emerging soft rock movement of the early 1970s. Its heartfelt lyrics resonated with listeners of all ages, particularly those who found themselves looking back fondly on childhood.

Although it wasn't one of the duo's biggest chart hits, "House at Pooh Corner" became a concert favorite and one of the songs most closely associated with Loggins throughout his career. It also helped establish his reputation as a gifted songwriter long before he scored later hits such as "Danny's Song," "Your Mama Don't Dance," "Whenever I Call You 'Friend'" and "Footloose."

More than 50 years after its release, "House at Pooh Corner" continues to connect with listeners through its universal message. What began as a song written by a thoughtful 17-year-old has become one of soft rock's most enduring ballads, a reminder that while childhood may fade, the memories we carry with us never truly disappear.

As Zendaya and Tom Holland continue their press tour for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the newlyweds are giving fans adorable glimpses of life behind the scenes — both on set and at home.

During a July 9 interview with BBC Radio 1, Zendaya revealed that one of her favorite phrases comes straight from Spider-Man: Homecoming.

"You're gonna be like, 'No, you don't!'" she teased Holland before admitting, "I do the, 'You really screwed the pooch on that one.'"

Holland immediately laughed and agreed.

"Yeah, you do say that a lot," he replied.

The memorable line was originally delivered by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in the 2017 Marvel film while scolding Holland's Peter Parker. According to Holland, it wasn't even in the script.

"Really interesting ad-lib, but it's a great line, and it works in the movie," he said, recalling that he had no idea what Downey meant when he first said it during filming.

In another video clip shared by fans on social media, the duo also offered yet another sweet peek into their newlywed routine.

Zendaya revealed that she has "a lot of videos" of Holland enthusiastically recounting his workday after coming home from set.

She edited the critic's comment to read, "The weekender will rip your shoulders to shreds if carried it by itself...pack it with bricks and don't put it on a carry-on roller."

It's difficult to think of a rock star who inspired (or continues to inspire) more genuine fan devotion than Jerry Garcia. Even now, nearly 30 years after his tragic death at the age of 53, countless Deadheads around the world are dedicated to keeping his music alive. Every note he played, every word he sang...every detail of Garcia's lore and legend are painstakingly passed down from one generation to the next. As it happens, today is the 40th anniversary of one of Garcia's darkest moments (even though it led to a highly celebrated comeback).

On July 10, 1986, Garcia slipped into a diabetic coma as the result of an infection from an abscessed tooth and was admitted to Marin General Hospital in California, as The Los Angeles Times reported several days later. His blood sugar was so high that his kidneys had shut down, according to The Wrap, and his wife at the time, Carolyn Adams (better known as Mountain Girl), said his heart had stopped.

"He died," Adams said later. "The hospital didn’t want anyone to know this, but he died. They had to resuscitate him.”

Of course, as fans are well aware, Garcia's time on this planet wasn't over yet. After five days, Garcia woke up...and the story he shared later of what he experienced was nothing short of psychedelic.

“Well, I had some very weird experiences," Garcia recalled in an interview recovered by Grateful Ramblings and published by Rock and Roll Garage in 2021.

"My main experience was one of furious activity and tremendous struggle in a sort of futuristic, space-ship vehicle with insectoid presences," he continued. "After I came out of my coma, I had this image of myself as these little hunks of protoplasm that were stuck together kind of like stamps with perforations between them that you could snap off. They were run through with neoprene tubing, and there were these insects that looked like cockroaches which were like message-units that were kind of like my bloodstream. That was my image of my physical self and this particular feeling lasted a long time. It was really strange.”

"The mind is so incredibly weird," Garcia went on to say. "The whole process of going into coma was very interesting too. It was a slow onset — it took about a week — and during this time I started feeling like the vegetable kingdom was speaking to me.”

According to Garcia, the vegetable kingdom "was communicating in comic dialect in iambic pentameter. So there were these Italian accents and German accents and it got to be this vast gabbling. Potatoes and radishes and trees were all speaking to me. It was really strange. It finally just reached hysteria and that’s when I passed out and woke up in the hospital."

When Garcia finally woke up, he faced a long road of recovery.

“I was pretty scrambled," Garcia said. "It was as though in my whole library of information, all the books had fallen off the shelves and all the pages had fallen out of the books. I would speak to people and know what I meant to say, but different words would come out. So I had to learn everything over again. I had to learn how to walk, play the guitar, everything."

One of the people who helped Garcia to get back on his feet again, literally, was friend and keyboardist Merl Saunders, his bandmate in Legion of Mary.

“I’d take him for a walk. We’d take 10 steps, then take 10 steps back," Saunders said of Garcia's recovery, per Dead.net. "His attitude was great. He wanted to get better, but he was scared, too. He got tired very easily, but he never really got discouraged. The most he’d say would be, ‘Oh man, this is harder than it looks!’”

Garcia's guitar skills also came back "very slowly."

“He had to learn chords all over again and he had a lot of trouble remembering how to do even the simplest stuff," Saunders said. "And I didn’t want to push him. ‘Man, I’m tired.’ He’d been playing for five minutes. ‘OK, that’s fine. Put it down. Let’s go for a walk.’ And we’d do that for a few minutes until he’d get tired. We’d talk about music. I’d tell him about songs I was working on and that would get his mind going. We’d talk in musical terms. And slowly he started to get his strength back. But it sometimes took an hour or two for him to get even a simple chord down. Then, as we got farther into it, some things started to come back to him a little, but it took a lot of work. The first song he wanted to learn again was ‘My Funny Valentine.’”

Within months, Garcia was back on the road with the Grateful Dead...and the long, strange trip continued.

Then came the confirmation on July 8th that he and Qualley were indeed separating, only fueling the internet buzz about the matter. The Bleachers frontman went to the Swift-Kelce wedding with his sister and raised eyebrows as he shared a presence at the star-studded event with ex-Lena Dunham, who recently published Famesick, a pretty damning memoir that dug deep into their separation. Through the Girls creator's words, Antonoff's working relationship with one of his music ingénues, Lorde, whom he quickly moved on with from Dunham's perspective, painted their breakup in a questionable light. So much so that it may have only fed speculation of infidelity around his recent marriage dissolving that Qualley's camp has come forward to quell.

In an official statement provided to PEOPLE by Margaret Qualley's representatives, the actress broke her silence: "The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue. There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship."

It continued, "They have deep love and care for one another. There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy.”

Jack Antonoff is currently seeing success with his hit single with Taylor Swift, "I knew it, I knew you," for Disney Pixar's Toy Story 5 and with his BLEACHERS FOREVER tour, while Margaret Qualley is preparing for a role in the upcoming horror flick Possession.

While Robert Plant recorded some of the most stunning duets of all time later in his career, with such talented vocalists as Alison Krauss and Suzi Dian, he was the only lead singer on every Led Zeppelin song...with one, very notable, exception.

Inspired (like several other Zeppelin songs) by The Lord of the Rings, "The Battle of Evermore" appeared on 1971's Led Zeppelin IV and was, according to Jimmy Page, made up on the spot by himself and Plant. When the time came to record the tune, Plant thought the song needed a second voice to help tell the story. He found the perfect candidate in former Fairport Convention member Sandy Denny, who wrote the beloved folk song "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" when she was just 19 years old (but more on that later).

"Led Zeppelin's association with Fairport was really strong — I was an admirer," Plant said, years later, per The Sun.

"When Jimmy Page and I began writing 'The Battle Of Evermore,' it was obvious that it was a two voice part," he continued. "The song itself required a response. The other voice would be the rallying cry. To hear Sandy's first vocal response to my first vocal line was amazing — she went into this thing and I looked at Jimmy through the screen in the studio and we both just nodded."

"It was one of those great moments where you have written something and somebody takes it beyond the place where it isn't some cheesy song about a medieval battle but a beautiful exchange of two vocalists," Plant recalled, adding, "It was a spectacular moment for both of us. Our worlds joined, we had these great moments, and then we disappeared to wave across crowded rooms as the years went by."

Plant went on to say that Denny's music "always had this amazingly lonesome lyrical quality...but the sound, it's almost onomatopoeic because, in a similar way to Joni Mitchell, she was able to go from a very deep point in a song to flying up into this beautiful falsetto, this high pitch where she has got absolutely total control. It's a very feminine thing to do for a girl who never displayed femininity that much. She was in a man's world."

In addition to having an exquisite voice, Denny was a brilliant songwriter, best known for Fairport Convention's "Who Knows Where the Time Goes," as mentioned above. Though Denny also recorded the tune with The Strawbs previously, the most well-known version of the song appeared on Fairport Convention's 1969 album Unhalfbricking.

While it was never a hit in the commercial sense, "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" has become one of folk's most enduring classics in the decades since its release. It's been covered by the likes of Nina Simone, Susanna Hoffs and Rufus Wainwright, who called it “one of the saddest songs ever written," per Financial Times (in addition to Judy Collins' take on the song, released before the Fairport Convention's version). In 2007, BBC Radio 2 listeners voted "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" as their "favorite folk track of all time."

But perhaps British singer-songwriter Linda Thompson, a close friend to Denny, said it best:

"I don’t find it to be sad," she admitted in 2019. "Great music is always uplifting to me. She was so young when she wrote it but it pinpoints exactly the feelings I have now, at 71. It also resonated strongly with me when I was a teenager. Love and loss portrayed so sweetly. A song for all ages.”

Breaking Bad could’ve had a very different ending. 

The beloved 2008 TV series about a high school chemistry teacher who starts making meth after being diagnosed with terminal cancer was originally supposed to kill one of the main characters in the first season.

The show’s stars, BryanCranston and AaronPaul, joined a recent episode of the Friends Keep Secretspodcast.   

Paul revealed that his character, JessePinkman, was really only there to serve WalterWhite, Cranston’s character. 

The first season begins when "Jesse Pinkman introduces Walt to the drug world,” he said. Adding that the writers wanted the seasons to end with “Pinkman dies and then Walt is then led to go out for revenge into the second season and beyond.”

“I wish it would have happened that way,” Cranston joked. 

The five-season show is critically acclaimed with a large fan base, in part because of the incredible on-screen chemistry between Cranston and Paul. 

After Breaking Bad was picked up for series, the show’s creator and writer, VinceGilligan, told Paul about the initial arc.  

“He's like, ‘I want you to know the original plan was to kill you off at the end of the season,’” Paul revealed. “And we still had like two more episodes to shoot, and my heart just starts pounding through my chest.” 

He continued, “I'm like, ‘Well, what do you mean? When am I going to die?’ He's like, ‘No, no, no. You're not going to die. When we shot the pilot and we saw what you and Brian were doing together, we just love that dynamic so much.’”  

The actor said that the plan for his death became a joke on the Breaking Bad set. 

He shared an anecdote about a time a producer asked him to stay late so they could get his measurements. When Paul asked what they were for, they told him it was to get a correctly sized coffin, joking, “Right. You haven't read that. Um, you know what? Forget it. Uh, I'll let Vince talk to you about it,” he said.
