Stephen Colbert's Best-Ever 'Late Show' Interviews Are Why We'll Miss Him So Much
When The Late Show with Stephen Colbert takes its final bow on May 21, 2026, leaving behind an indelible mark on not just comedy and pop culture, but also the fight to preserve democracy.
CBS announced that the staple show would end not long after the network settled a lawsuit from President Donald Trump, and the coincidental timing wasn't lost on anyone—least of all Stephen Colbert himself, who was more diplomatic than he needed to be about it.
"I do not dispute their rationale. I do make jokes about it. But I also completely understand why people would say (A) that doesn’t make sense to me and (B) that seems fishy to me, because the network did it to themselves by bending the knee to the Trump administration over a $20 billion, settled for $16 million, completely frivolous lawsuit," Colbert explained to the New York Times in April. "It’s possible that two things can be true. Broadcast can be in trouble. They cannot monetize because of things like YouTube, because of the competition of streaming. They’ve got the books, and I do not have any desire to debate them over what they say their business model is and how it does not work for them anymore. But less than two years before they called to say it’s over, they were very eager for me to be signed for a long time. So, something changed."
Hosted by The Daily Show and The Colbert Report alum since 2015, The Late Show's interviews often transcended other late night chat shows, striking strong emotional chords as much as tickling audiences' funny bones.
Colbert's sitdowns have touched on heavy topics including grief, trauma, government censorship and more. Of course, he also made us laugh a lot—and sometimes cry, sing and nerd out, too.
Here are the best Late Show with Stephen Colbert interviews, ranked.

What made Colbert's February 2016 interview with Rep. James Talarico (D-Tx.) so remarkable is simply that it ticked off the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the CBS suits so much that they refused to air it. Thankfully, YouTube exists, because it was a particularly poignant conversation that couldn't have come at a more crucial time—and Colbert addressed the manufacturedcontroversy head-on.

Colbert clearly had a (very innocent and adorable) crush! He couldn't stop giggling and beaming at Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish during her first appearance on The Late Show in August 2017.
"I think I have a Tiffany Haddish problem now," he said. "You're amazing. You're extraordinary ... What a joy, just to sit next to you."
Haddish knew what was up, telling Colbert that on her list of goals was to someday be on his show and "have you googly-eye me, like, yes."

Similarly to Garfield, Anderson Cooper had a tear-jerking chat with Colbert in October 2025 about mourning the people you love most. Colbert, who lost his father and two older brothers in a plane crash when he was a child, was visibly and deeply moved.
"Listening to others has changed my life," Cooper said of coping with grief. "It has saved my life."

While Colbert's fellow late night host Jimmy Fallon got flak for giving Donald Trump a softball interview in 2016, Colbert took the opposite approach, grilling the then-presidential hopeful on his rhetoric and policy positions instead of his hair. It may explain why he's held such a grudge for over a decade, with Paramount effectively ending the show so Trump would approve of their merger with Warner Bros. Discovery.

"You got me," he said, his eyes welled up.
Mirren replied, "It made me cry, too!"

7. Bernie Sanders Bernie Sanders on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert"Photo by CBS Photo Archive on Getty Images
Colbert featured beloved mitten enthusiast Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and afforded him the rare opportunity to respond to critical passages in Hillary Clinton's memoir, What Happened, in which she pointed the finger at the Vermont Independent for her loss to Trump.
A quick a refresher: Sanders held 38 campaign rallies for Clinton after she won the 2016 nomination—more than Clinton herself did in her entire run—and more Sanders supporters voted for Clinton in 2016 than 2008 Clinton supporters voted forBarack Obama. Despite all of this, and the Democratic National Committee stacking the deck in her favor, she still blames him for loss, perhaps because it's easier on the ego than self-reflection would be.
Sanders became a regular guest on The Late Show, often to promote increasingly popular progressive ideals, including a higher minimum wage and Medicare for All, as well as the fight against fascism during Trump's second term.

Lady Gaga appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in October 2018 to promote A Star Is Born, but her discussion about Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was one of the most memorable moments, not just of the episode, but of Colbert's Late Show's tenure. The "Die With a Smile" singer's somber, serious and thoughtful explanation of the trauma associated with the sexual assault Dr. Christine Blasey Ford described suffering at the hands of Kavanaugh (which he denied) is a must-watch—not just in the context of Ford's allegations, but of all abuse survivors.

My Greek Neighbor Tried Ina Garten's Greek Orzo Salad, and Now She's Making it For Every Summer Party
There are certain recipes that instantly become part of your summer rotation, and for me, a good orzo salad always makes the list. It’s quick, crowd-pleasing, endlessly versatile, and manages to feel both effortless and impressive at the same time. Plus, I don’t know about you, but I always seem to have a forgotten box of orzo tucked into the back of my pantry. With just a handful of fresh ingredients, it transforms into the kind of beautiful side dish that looks like you planned ahead...even when you absolutely didn’t.
One of my longtime favorites is Ina Garten’s Greek Orzo Salad. It’s bright, lemony, packed with feta, herbs, olives, and crisp vegetables, and tastes even better after sitting out at a summer barbecue table for a bit. But because it’s labeled “Greek,” I found myself wondering just how authentic it really is.

I called my longtime friend and neighbor Chrystal for backup. Chrystal comes from what she lovingly calls “a big fat Greek New York City family,” where dishes like pastitsio, spanakopita, and whole roasted lamb are served often and are taken very seriously. “Greek food is inherently simple, for the most part,” she told me before trying the salad. Luckily for me, simplicity is exactly what Ina’s recipe delivers. Still, as I tossed together the lemony pasta, chickpeas, dill, feta, and Kalamata olives, I couldn’t help but wonder: would this pass the Greek-family test?

Ina Garten’s Greek Orzo Salad is one of the standout pasta salad recipes from her cookbook Go-To Dinners. The recipe combines tender orzo pasta with chickpeas, feta, Kalamata olives, red onion, dill, arugula, lemon, and a simple olive oil vinaigrette for a side dish that feels fresh, bright, and effortlessly elegant. It’s the kind of recipe that works just as well for a casual backyard dinner as it does for a summer party spread.

What makes this salad stand out is how balanced and unfussy it is. The lemon and olive oil keep everything light and vibrant, while the feta, olives, and capers bring the salty bite you want from a Greek-inspired dish. The fresh dill gives it a ton of flavor without overpowering anything, and the arugula stirred in at the end makes it feel a little more elevated than your average pasta salad. It’s simple in the best possible way; every ingredient earns its place.

To make Ina Garten’s Greek Orzo Salad, you’ll need orzo pasta, lemons, olive oil, chickpeas, red bell pepper, red onion, capers, fresh dill, Greek feta, Kalamata olives, baby arugula, kosher salt, and black pepper. The ingredient list is refreshingly straightforward, relying on pantry staples and a few fresh additions to create big flavor with very little effort.

The salad starts with cooking the orzo until al dente, then transferring it to a large bowl while still warm. A simple vinaigrette made with lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper gets poured directly over the pasta so it can absorb all the flavor. From there, you fold in the chickpeas, chopped vegetables, capers, dill, feta, and olives. Just before serving, arugula and extra lemon are added for freshness and brightness. The result is a colorful, flavor-packed salad that tastes like summer in a bowl.

Ina Garten’s Greek Orzo Salad Recipe Review: Chrystal’s Honest ThoughtsCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
“This is so good,” Chrystal said almost immediately after taking her first bite, which, admittedly, was the exact reaction I was hoping for. Her biggest compliment? “Appropriate Greek ratio of Kalamatas,” she joked, "a lot!" approving of the generous amount of olives throughout the salad.
As it turns out, Chrystal’s mom happened to stop by while we were eating too, which immediately raised the stakes for me. Had I known an incredible Greek home cook would also be judging the salad, I probably would’ve been way more nervous. Thankfully, she loved it too. “We already had a split lemon sitting on the counter, of course—as us Greeks do,” Chrystal laughed, squeezing even more fresh lemon over her bowl.
Chrystal pointed out that while orzo salad itself isn’t some ancient traditional Greek recipe, the flavors absolutely felt familiar and authentic to her family. “Orzo salad isn’t gonna be from the ancient days or anything,” she said. “You can kind of do whatever tastes good. But these are all Greek flavors, and it’s really well balanced and delicious.”
Whether you’re making it for a backyard barbecue, a family dinner, or sharing it with your own Greek neighbor, Ina Garten’s Greek Orzo Salad is the kind of simple, vibrant recipe that brings people together. Or, as the Greeks say, “Kali Orexi” (enjoy your meal)!

‘80s Hit Sitcom, Ranked Among ‘Greatest Series Finales of All Time,’ Ended 36 Years Ago Today—With a Twist No One Saw Coming
On May 21, 1990, Newhart went out with a bang. The sitcom, the second CBS hit for star Bob Newhart, ended its eight-season run with a twist that thrilled fans.
Newhart aired for eight seasons, starting in October 1982. It starred Newhart and Mary Frann as married Vermont innkeepers Dick and Joanna Loudon. The hit comedy series came after Newhart spent six years playing Dr. Bob Hartley, a Chicago psychologist married to Emily (Suzanne Pleshette), on The Bob Newhart Show.
The actor’s two worlds collided in the final Newhart episode, titled “The Last Newhart.” In the final scene, it is revealed that the entire series was a dream of Dr. Bob Hartley. Newhart even wakes up in bed next to his first sitcom wife, Pleshette. Newhart’s final line in the series is to Pleshette’s character, Emily. “You know, you really should wear more sweaters,” he says, in a nod to his Vermont wife, played by Frann.
Films Fatale ranked “The Last Newhart” one of the greatest series finales of all time, on a list that included Six Feet Under, M*A*S*H, The Sopranos, and Breaking Bad. It was one of the few sitcoms that made the list, and its inclusion was thanks to The Bob Newhart Show, which the review website claimed outshone it right up until the finale. “It’s a hilarious way that a show admits that it wasn’t anything noteworthy, and yet it goes out in this shocking, hilarious, self-aware way; it couldn’t be more noteworthy now,” the outlet noted.
RELATED: Why TV’s No. 1 Show Didn’t Have a Big Finale
The ‘Newhart’ ending came from Newhart’s real-life wifeNot only did the Newhart ending feature two wives, but Newhart’s real-life wife, Ginnie, was involved. According to Ultimate Classic Rock, the comedy legend's wife suggested that the final episode should take a page from the 1986 Dallas season finale in which the previously dead Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) returned to the cast under the guise that the whole season had been a dream.
Ginnie Newhart’s pitch included the idea that Newhart would wake up as Bob Hartley in his old Chicago apartment. “Without missing a beat, she said, ‘You ought to end it with a dream sequence where you wake up in bed with Suzy,’” Newhart told Entertainment Weekly in 2010. “[Suzanne] loved the idea. She said, ‘I’ll be there in a New York minute!’”

The surprise ending was kept top secret, and Newhart had the writers come up with a fake ending so the real finale wouldn’t be leaked. “To me, it was the ultimate wink-wink, nudge-nudge kind of thing,” Newhart added of the finale. “The audience was in on the joke.”
In an interview with the Television Foundation Academy, Pleshette recalled that as soon as she and Newhart taped the finale scene, they instantly “knew it was a piece of television history.” “He knew it, we knew it. We were nervous, but I mean we knew,” she said.

‘Brady Bunch’ Star Says It Took 15 Years to Make Peace With Fame After Hit '70s Sitcom
Barry Williams revealed it took him years to fully embrace his fame from The Brady Bunch. The actor, who played eldest son Greg on the classic ABCsitcom from 1969 to 1974, appeared on The Magnificent Others With Billy Corgan, where he admitted he struggled with his Brady persona for more than a decade after the original series wrapped.
Williams, 71, told Corgan that while he is graceful when fans call him “Greg” 50 years post-Brady, the moniker wasn't always so well received.
“That wasn't always the case,” he admitted. “In the beginning, being called Greg made me feel like they didn't know me and that somehow it was a threat to my identity. [It felt like] a non-acknowledgement as well. I mean, it's nice to be recognized, but you know it is, after all, a character in [a sitcom]."
“But at some point I came to understand it was less about it being about me and more about what they’re experiencing, what they’re seeing, and what their intention is,” Williams continued. “And it wasn’t meant to be offensive. It wasn’t meant to disregard me.”
Williams noted that it took several years of self-reflection before he made peace with being referred to by his TV persona. “I was probably, you know, into my 30s,” he shared. “So, maybe 10 years, 15 years after the [show].”
Because The Brady Bunch remains so “safe” and comforting to so many, Williams noted that fans consider him family. “They want to invite me to dinner,” he told Corgan. "They literally consider me part of my part of part of their family.”
The actor shared that when he goes to breakfast at a local café, people sit down and start a conversation with him as if they’ve known him for years. “And they pick right up in the middle,” he shared. “'So great seeing you. You have plans today? Have you seen that show down the street?’ You know, and they'll just pick it up in a conversation. So there's that kind of familiarity.”
“There's a privilege in that if you have a good attitude about it,” he added. “Because it's like having friends everywhere you go. If you like people, it's terrific. So that you come in and you start at a completely different level with someone, and it's easier to kind of cut through. And the Brady thing only lasts so long and then you're, you know, talking.”
RELATED: ‘Brady Bunch’ Star Reveals the No. 1 Question He Still Gets From Fans
Williams previously revealed that he made peace with The Brady Bunch in the late 1980s when the cast reunited for the highly rated made-for-TV movie, A Very Brady Christmas.
"I really enjoyed it," he told the Ashbury Park Press, per MeTV. "For me, that was when I made peace with The Brady Bunch. When the network had us back."
"To me, it meant that we had kind of transcended just being a little ditty from the ’70s that was totally inconsequential," The Brady Bunch star explained. "And it means that there was a viewer loyalty that we had kind of survived the test of time. At that point, I could kind of just let it be. It kind of legitimized the early series for me, and then we had fun filming it."

Quote of the Day: Composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky on Music as a 'Thousand Different Moments of the Soul’s Moods’
Even if you aren’t a classical music fan or actively listen to Tchaikovsky’s music, you’ve absolutely heard his compositions. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky really made a name for himself in his shortened life. According to Classicals.de, he was the first Russian composer to actually make a lasting impact worldwide. He took the Russian style of music and used his Western European musical training to make it his own, resulting in infinitely famous compositions like the 1812 Overture (especially popular around the 4th of July), the Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy (a personal favorite of mine), the opera Eugene Onegin, and the insanely famous ballets Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker. With such a talent for classical compositions, it makes sense that our quote of the day by Tchaikovsky has to do with how powerful music can be.
Born in 1840 in Russia, Tchaikovsky came from a large family and expressed an interest in music from a young age. He was naturally good at it, too; he tried making his first composition at age four and started piano lessons at age five. Despite this, music education wasn’t a thing in Russia at the time, per Britannica, so a music career wasn’t in the cards for him, at least not in his parents’ eyes. However, his father did come around, seeing how talented and in love with music his son was, and continued to get him piano lessons through his teenage years. He was one of the first students to attend the St. Petersburg Conservatory and graduated in 1865.
The composer’s life was filled with tragic losses—such as his mother—and depression, possibly exacerbated by his sexuality, which was censored in Russia until somewhat recently, even though it’s long been a known fact in the Western world, according to The Guardian. Tchaikovsky was also married to a woman named Antonina Miliukova, but the marriage failed, most likely because he did it just to please his family and to potentially dispel rumblings about his homosexuality, per BBC’s Classical Music site. He died of cholera from drinking unboiled water at a restaurant in 1893, and to this day, people debate whether it was a tragic accident or if he purposely drank it (or was forced to).
Like many artists, Tchaikovsky had a life full of extreme lows and highs, but he saw success while he was still alive (which some other artists cannot say the same). And today’s quote really encapsulates how he felt about music and why he was so passionate about it. It might also really hit hard with other musicians or music lovers out there.
Quote of the Day by Pyotr Ilyich TchaikovskyCanvaPro/Parade
“Music possesses incomparably more powerful means and is a subtler language for the articulation of the thousand different moments of the soul's moods.”
This quote appears in Tchaikovsky, a biography written by John Hamilton Warrack in 1973. It is an in-depth recounting of his life, from childhood onward and includes Tchaikovsky’s own words from letters and more. It details his “unhappy, restless life” and his “prodigious talent, his methods of work and the gradual genesis of his greatest large-scale works,” per the book’s description.
In the chapter called “New Mastery, 1877-1878,” Warrack writes about one correspondence in particular, between Tchaikovsky and Nadezhda von Meck, a wealthy woman who funded Tchaikovsky for 13 years and was his close friend, per Tchaikovsky Research. She had asked about a program he was composing and whether he was finished with it; he wrote back about his work process:
“It is a purely lyrical process. It is a musical confession of the soul, which is full to the brim and which, true to its essential nature, pours itself out in sound, just as the lyric poet expresses himself in verse. The difference is that music possesses incomparably more powerful means and is a subtler language for the articulation of the thousand different moments of the soul's moods.”
He then compares it to planting a seed: if the “seed of a future work appears” and the “soil” you put it in is receptive, then you have something that takes root and grows into a full program. Again, saying that it takes on a mind of its own, but that it still needs good conditions to do so. He’s the vessel through which music comes from, but he’s a good gardener, so to speak.
Deeper Meaning of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Quote—the Power of MusicIt is interesting to read the full quote, because it makes this sentence make a little more sense. After all, he is comparing music to poets, saying that even though sound and verses both “pour” out of the artists involved, music is different. Music is more powerful than just words (in Tchaikovsky’s opinion here), and it’s a “subtler” way to express a “thousand different moments of the soul’s moods.”
Whether you agree with that comparison or not—or don’t want to compare music to poetry at all—what Tchaikovsky says about music rings true. It can be a very powerful form of art, and it does a great job at expressing soul-bearing honesty, even without words. Especially looking at classical music, the emotions that cascade out from symphonies, especially Tchaikovsky’s, are so palpable. There’s a reason many people cry at operas, or even ballets (in my personal experience, at least).
From one of the most famous composers in the world, it makes sense that those were his feelings about music. And even if you don’t understand or agree with his explanation of how his work process goes, you can’t deny that he was so moved and in tune (pun intended) with composing and music; he spoke about it so reverently. And if you’ve ever experienced frisson when listening to a moving classical piece or even cried when your favorite artist puts out a heart-wrenching song, you can easily understand Tchaikovsky’s point of view.
More Quotes from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky- “What I need is to believe in myself again—for my faith has been greatly undermined; it seems to me my role is over.”
- “Truly there would be reason to go mad were it not for music.”
- “To regret the past, to hope in the future, and never to be satisfied with the present—this is my life.”
- On music: “It is a faithful friend, protector and comforter, and for its sake alone life in this world is worth living. Who knows, perhaps in heaven there will be no music. So let us live on the earth while we still have life!”
- “The difference is that music possesses much richer means of expression and is a more subtle medium for translating the thousand shifting moments of the feelings of the soul.”

'80s Rock Icon Announces Update on Hit Project Outside Music
Bruce Dickinson is continuing to build his creative world outside music after announcing The Mandrake Project: Year Two, the next chapter in his growing graphic novel saga.
The legendary Iron Maiden frontman shared the news on Instagram, revealing that Chapters 5 through 8 of The Mandrake Project story will be released in a new deluxe edition collection packed with collector items and expanded content.
“Chapters 5-8 of The Mandrake Project saga are collected in a 176 page Deluxe Edition book!” Dickinson wrote. “With a foil embossed and die cut slipcase, exclusive collector cards and more. Pre-order your SIGNED copy before they’re gone!”

The project continues the supernatural storyline connected to Dickinson’s 2024 solo album The Mandrake Project. According to release details, the new installment follows Necropolis and Dr. Lazarus into a darker and stranger world filled with mystery, family secrets, and supernatural forces.
View this post on InstagramThe official description says the story begins after a near-death experience sends Necropolis into a parallel world where he uncovers shocking truths tied to his twisted family history.
The Mandrake Project: Year Two is described as a 184-page continuation of the ongoing series. Deluxe and platinum editions will include collector cards and a Mandrake Coin.
The collection also includes an introduction by filmmaker Sascha Gervasi and a feature about Wilhelm Reich, the controversial sociologist and mystic who died in prison in 1954.
The graphic novel has become one of Dickinson’s biggest entertainment projects outside his music career. Although globally known as Iron Maiden’s lead singer, Dickinson has spent decades building a reputation in several industries.
Outside music, Dickinson has worked as a commercial airline pilot, author, broadcaster, entrepreneur, screenwriter and competitive fencer. He also founded the aviation company Cardiff Aviation after flying for Astraeus Airlines.
Dickinson’s career outside heavy metal has often matched the scale of his music success. He hosted radio programs for the BBC, presented aviation documentaries, wrote novels and helped create the successful Trooper beer brand with Robinsons Brewery.
The singer also competed internationally in fencing and was once ranked seventh in Great Britain in the sport.
His solo album The Mandrake Project, released in 2024, became his first solo studio record in 19 years and reached chart success in several countries.
Dickinson’s latest announcement comes during a busy creative period for the singer.
In 2025, he released More Balls To Picasso, a reworked version of his 1994 solo album Balls To Picasso. The updated edition featured remixed tracks, orchestral arrangements, and new production elements.
One of the project’s biggest additions was a new orchestral version of “Tears Of The Dragon.” Dickinson later filmed an elaborate music video for the song in São Paulo, Brazil, alongside directors Leo Liberti and Antoine de Montremy.
The video featured Dickinson performing with the Almai orchestra and Brazilian ballet dancer Renata Bardazi inside a converted brewery location.
At the same time, Dickinson continues preparing for Iron Maiden’s 50th anniversary tour in 2026. The band is scheduled to begin the latest run of shows in Athens, Greece before continuing with more international dates.
Dickinson joined Iron Maiden in 1981 and helped turn the band into one of the biggest heavy metal acts in history. The group has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.
Even with his long-running success in music, Dickinson continues expanding into comics, film, aviation, writing, and business ventures, making The Mandrake Project one of his biggest multimedia projects to date.

'Bohemian Rhapsody' Star Reduced to Tears at Cannes World Premiere
Critics are saying it's his best role since Freddie Mercury.
Rami Malek stars as a gay man in 1980s New York City in a new movie that just screened at the Cannes Film Festival for its world premiere, and audiences certainly seemed pleased.
Directed by Ira Sachs, The Man I Love received a standing ovation that lasted at last eight minutes, Variety reports, a warm reception that left Malek, 45, in tears.
Deadline reported on Wednesday, May 20, meanwhile, that the Bohemian Rhapsody actor's latest starring vehicle was actually met with a 10-minute ovation. Either way, Malek could very well be generating Oscar buzz once again following his trophy win back in 2019.
Tami Malek, Tom Sturridge and Luther Ford back in terrific ovation for Ira Sachs film The Man I Love #Cannes pic.twitter.com/GR2R8pHO3s
— Deadline (@DEADLINE) May 20, 2026The Man I Love is notably one of only two American films competing for the top prize, the Palme d’Or, at Cannes this year, Variety also noted, with the other being James Gray’s Paper Tiger starring Adam Driver, Miles Teller and Scarlett Johansson.
“This is a film about what we can bring to each other through art, through love, through pain, through memory,” said Sachs, 60, after Wednesday's screening, per Variety. “And I hope there are some memories we share from this evening for the festival and our love of cinema.”
In The Man I Love, Malek plays New York theater performance artist Jimmy George in late '80s New York, according to Deadline. Jimmy is dying of AIDS as the crisis devastates the city’s artistic community. Despite the prognosis, his desire to live and desire one last time is stronger than everything else. Co-stars include Luther Ford, Tom Sturridge, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Rebecca Hall.
Among the other films generating buzz at Cannes is Club Kid, which premiered last week. Actor-filmmaker Jordan Firstman’s feature debut as writer-director-star features Rihanna’s chart-topper “Sex With Me” — and was used before the Grammy winner, 38, had even signed off on it. Rihanna ultimately gave the song use her blessing, however, and Club Kid has since been sold to A24, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Amazon’s Garden-Themed $25 LEGO Set Is a 'Charming' Way to Stay Busy This Summer When It’s Too Hot Outside
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Summer isn’t always sunshine and perfect beach days — sometimes it’s surprise rainstorms, heatwaves that send you straight back indoors, or those sticky afternoons where even stepping outside feels like too much. On days like that, having a few go-to activities that don’t involve screens can make all the difference, whether you’re trying to unwind, stay cool, or just pass the time more creatively.
That’s exactly where this early Memorial Day deal at Amazon comes in. The LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Flowers in Watering Can Set is currently on sale for $25, down from $30, making it an easy, low-effort way to keep busy when the weather isn’t cooperating. It brings a little bit of that bright, summer garden energy indoors, no matter if it’s pouring outside or you’re camped out in the air conditioning.
LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Flowers in Watering Can Set, $25 (was $30) at Amazon Shop at AmazonWith 420 pieces, this set starts as a charming, garden-inspired scene: A pastel yellow watering can with colorful flowers sprouting out of the top, finished with two delicate butterflies perched right on the blooms. It feels whimsical and summery right from the start — like a tiny, buildable bouquet. But the fun doesn’t stop there. Once you’re ready for something new, you can take it apart and rebuild the pieces into two completely different designs: A cheerful rain boot overflowing with flowers or a pair of birds perched among blossoms.
Beyond the variety, it’s the thoughtful details that make this set especially enjoyable. The flowers feature adjustable petals, so you can tweak and arrange them to your liking, adding a slightly custom feel to each build. The butterfly and bird elements bring a sense of movement and personality, making each version feel more dynamic and lifelike rather than static.
Once you’re done building, this set easily doubles as decor — bright, colorful, and full of that fresh, garden-inspired energy that instantly livens up a desk, shelf, or windowsill. Like other LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets, it includes neatly separated parts bags and a fully illustrated instruction booklet, making it easy for builders ages 8 and up to put together.
Master and novice builders alike enjoyed this “adorable” and “charming” build. “The vibrant colors and realistic flower designs bring a touch of whimsy to our space without looking obviously like a toy, with guests often complimenting it before realizing it's made of LEGO,” one shopper raved.

'Survivor 51' Will Usher in a Brand New 'Open Era' for the Iconic Reality Series
In the first half of 2026, Survivor commemorated over a quarter of a decade on the air with its monumental 50th season. The historic installment of the iconic CBS reality series covered a wide breadth of legacies, as well as created new moments that had everyone talking. It's a firm reminder of how truly revolutionary the series is, not only in popularizing the entire reality TV genre in the summer of 2000, but also in creating something that has remained a fixture of the medium for so many years.
And there's no signs of stopping! In fact, Survivor will be returning for its 51st season this fall, taking us back to the island for another round of beachside blindsides. How will the game look after all the brand-new twists that were infused into Season 50? Will we be seeing returning players again? Here's what we know about Survivor 51 so far.
Survivor 51 will premiere this fall on CBS. It is likely to debut in the final two weeks of September 2026, as that has been the tradition for nearly every fall season in the show's history.
How long are episodes of Survivor 51 in 2026?Survivor 51 will continue to air 90-minute episodes, a permanent change for the show starting in Season 45. While first instituted to fill time due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the longer episodes have been one of the most positively received changes of the past few years, encouraging the network to keep the longer episodes. Though occasional episodes of Season 50 ran two to even three hours, so it may be possible we could get some extended episodes as well.
When is the finale of Survivor 51 in 2026?Given the typical schedule of a fall season, we should expect Survivor 51 to come to a close in mid-December 2026. The latest a season finale has occurred is December 20 (with the exception of Africa, which had its premiere delayed until October due to the events of September 11).
Who is in the cast for Survivor 51?At this time, the cast of Survivor 51 has not been announced. Check back closer to the premiere date to find out who makes up the 51st group of castaways.
When did Survivor51 film?Compared to filming scheduled for previous fall seasons, we expect Survivor 51 filmed at some point from March to May 2026. The season will likely continue with the "new era" tradition of running for 26 days rather than the 39 days of the first 40 seasons.
Related: Remembering Sonja Christopher and Kim Johnson! Here's Every Survivor Contestant Who Has Died Since Competing
It's currently unknown if there will be any themes for Survivor 51. Notably, the show chose to eschew the overarching themes after Season 40, instead opting to simply name the season with a number. However, with the "In the Hands of the Fans" theme for Season 50, it is possible that the show may go back to trying out themes, either through casting or more structural twists.
What is the Survivor diversity news?In June 2019, inspired by the events surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement and discussions around anti-racist practices, a group of Black Survivor alumni spoke up about their experiences and difficulties they faced as minorities on the show. Known as the "Soul Survivors Organization" and consisting of contestants from seasons 1 to 40, they released a widely-circulated petition that calls upon the show to institute several anti-racist initiatives, including casting BIPOC for at least 30% of each cast, hiring more BIPOC as part of the crew, and actively supporting the cast, including mental health resources following the season.
"The entire culture is in a beautiful upheaval," Probst says about the petition, "and our job is to respond to it to make sure that Survivor continues to reflect our culture and our behavior and how we're interacting with each other. Everything that's happening is going to inform the future of Survivor."
As a result of the initiative, CBS announced in November 2020 that it would be instituting new rules for its unscripted shows in the pursuit of increased diversity. That includes a requirement for at least 50% of every show's cast to be contestants who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), as well as allocating a minimum of 25% of its annual unscripted development budget to projects created or co-created by BIPOC producers.
In 2025, Paramount co-CEOs George Cheeks, Chris McCarthy and Brian Robbins put forward a memo saying that the company would be making changes to its diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Despite this, however, Survivor casting producer Jesse Tannenbaum said in an interview with Deadline that, even if casts do not specifically hit the previous 50% threshold, "nothing has changed" in terms of their mission to create ethnically diverse groups.
Who won Survivor50?Aubry Bracco took home the two-million-dollar prize!
What happened to Dan on Survivor? In a positive stand for the #MeToo movement, contestant Dan Spilo was removed from the game due to multiple incidents involving unwanted touching.

Survivor premiered on May 31, 2000, and has aired a spring and fall season each year until fall 2020, picking back up in 2021. There are 50 completed seasons of Survivor. When all is said and done, there are a little over 700 episodes of Survivor total.
Where was Survivor 51 filmed?Season 51 was likely filmed in the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji. The show has been filming in that location since its 33rd season in 2016.
Where to watch SurvivorSurvivor airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Episodes are made available the next day via the Paramount+ app.
What time is Survivor on?Survivor airs in its usual time slot at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Wednesdays on CBS.
Is Survivor on Netflix? No, Survivor is not currently available on Netflix.
Is Survivor on Paramount+?Jeff Probst's 2020 appearance in a Super Bowl commercial for Paramount+ gave us a hint of the joy that would come soon: All 50 seasons of Survivor are available for streaming on Paramount+!
Is Survivor on Amazon Prime Video?Yes! But you won't be able to binge all 50 seasons of Survivor. Only select seasons are available.
How to watch Survivor onlineIf you really want to watch all 50 seasons, you'll need to stream them on Paramount+.
Is there a sneak peek trailer for Survivor 51?Given past precedent, we should likely see our first look at Survivor 51 during the live finale and reunion of Survivor 50. Check back after May 20 to get a sneak peek at what's to come!

It will also be available on CD and vinyl, including a double LP edition offered in black, gold and orange splatter variants.
Ahead of the release, the band shared an updated remaster of their 1982 song "Don't Tell Me You Love Me," accompanied by a new visualizer video.
"The new 'Best Of' is a celebration of not only our classic hits but also what we've created over the last 20 years, Night Ranger's vocalist Jack Blades stated in a press release. "And we're just gonna keep cranking it 'cause we're having too much fun to stop! So enjoy the ride and see ya on the road!"

Best known for hits like "Sister Christian," "(You Can Still) Rock in America" and "When You Close Your Eyes," Night Ranger gained a devoted following and became one of the defining rock bands of the 1980s. Their 1983 album Midnight Madness became a multi-platinum success and cemented the group as a staple of the MTV generation.
Beyond commercial success, Night Ranger helped bridge classic hard rock and the more melodic glam-metal sound that dominated the decade. The band’s music has remained culturally recognizable decades later thanks to continued touring, film and television placements and renewed interest from younger audiences discovering 1980s rock. While many of their peers faded after the height of the hair metal era, Night Ranger maintained a loyal fan base and continued releasing music well into the 21st century, solidifying their reputation as enduring rock veterans.
Originally formed in San Francisco in 1979 under the name Stereo, Night Ranger emerged from a group of already accomplished musicians, leading many fans to view them as a kind of early rock supergroup. Members had previously played with acts including Rubicon and later collaborated with artists like Ozzy Osbourne, helping establish the band’s reputation for elite musicianship early on. Its current members include Blades, Brad Gillis, Kelly Keagy, Eric Levy and Keri Kelli.
Night Ranger opens for Journey at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on August 17, 2011 in Wantagh, New York.Best Of has 18 songs on the tracklist and fans will be enjoying remastered versions of many of their hits, including "Time Of Our Lives", "High Road", "No Time To Lose", "Somehow Someway" and "Truth." Best Of will be out on all streaming platforms on Aug. 28.

Country Star Calls Marriage a ‘Mistake,’ Says She Knew on Her Wedding Night: ‘I Was Done’
Carly Pearce is opening up about her public divorce from fellow country star Michael Ray, and sharing the question that still haunts her to this day. Folks will recall the ex-spouses got married in the fall of 2019 and then divorced eight months later.
Now in a brand new interview on The Person Who Believed in Mepodcast, Pearce, 36, says she had realized that her marriage to Ray was over just hours after the two had walked down the aisle.
"You know when you just know something's not how it should be? I think everybody in my life knew I had made a … he made it very clear that I had made a very big mistake," Pearce told podcast host David Begnaud of the wedding.
Even though Pearce was aware that her relationship with Ray was headed for a breakup, it took some time for her to file the papers. But, she admits, she didn’t look for signs that their romance would end until it “was too late.”
"There's a bit of Jekyll and Hyde that I did not see until it was too late,” she explained of her ex’s personality, adding that even though the relationship didn’t work out. “I’m grateful for my very short marriage because it taught me a lot about myself.”
"It taught me just how strong I am," she added. "I knew very quickly this was not what I deserved, and I blew up my life to get out of it. I didn't stay because society tells you you should. I didn't stay because my faith says divorce is bad. I didn't stay because, 'Oh, it's public, I need to do that.' I was done."
In addition to growing through her marriage and divorce, Pearce wrote through the pain and chronicled her split on her third studio album, 29: Written in Stone, which spawned hits like “Next Girl” and “Never Wanted to Be That Girl.”
"I wrote six really intense songs about this," Pearce, who is currently in a relationship with entrepreneur Jordan Karcher, acknowledged. "I thought it was just my story, but what I've learned is that it's a lot of different people's stories."
Despite having reached the other side, Pearce says one question still remains about her past relationship with Ray.
“I think the one thing that I had always carried with me was ‘Why did he marry me?’” Pearce shared. “I don’t know. I’ll never know, but that’s the one thing that I had always wondered, why do it if it wasn’t for real?”

An outdoor rug is one of the easiest ways to make a patio, porch, or deck feel more cozy and pulled together — but not every rug is built to survive life outdoors. Between rain, muddy shoes, and long days in the sun, many rugs end up developing mildew, or looking worn out after just one season.
That’s why shoppers are turning to the Kueth Waterproof Outdoor Floral Rug from Walmart. Made from waterproof recycled plastic straw, it’s the “perfect material” for the outdoors, according to Walmart shoppers. Right now, prices start at just $21 for the smallest 5-by-8-foot size in black and brown. It also comes in six colors additional plus multiple sizes, so there's a version to fit just about any outdoor space, whether that's a deck, a porch, or a campsite.

The waterproof, stain-resistant material helps it handle outdoor weather and messes without requiring much maintenance. It can be cleaned quickly with a garden hose when needed.
A UV-coated finish helps protect the rug from fading and sun damage, making it a smart pick for patios and decks that get lots of direct sunlight. Its reversible, double-weave construction includes a large peony pattern on both sides, allowing you to switch up the look when needed. “The reversible pattern is a plus!” one Walmart shopper wrote.
The floral motif is both summery and elegant, adding a level of style and comfort to home patios that you’d typically find at a chic resort. It’s available in several neutral color combinations, including black and white, coffee beige, and blue gray. Aside from the 5-by-8-foot size, customers can shop versions ranging up to 9 by 12 feet.
