Who Are the Actor Award Favorites? Catherine O'Hara Could Make History
Rest in peace, Catherine O'Hara. You will be top of mind this weekend, particularly when certain categories are announced during the Actor Awards.
The highly anticipated ceremony returns Sunday, March 1, streaming live on Netflix at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Kristen Bell is hosting the Actor Awards — formerly SAG Awards — once again.
View this post on InstagramAmong the acclaimed TV shows nominated this year is The Studio. Apple TV's hilarious series features a wildly talented ensemble, O'Hara included — whose sudden death on Jan. 30 at age 71 shocked the world.
The Emmy-winning Schitt's Creek star is nominated in two Actor Award categories this Sunday:
- Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series
- Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series
As Variety pointed out this week, her tragic passing may have garnered many sympathy votes, which could make O'Hara the first posthumous TV acting winner, the first woman posthumously in any of the categories, and the third overall after Heath Ledger from The Dark Knight and Chadwick Boseman from Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
"I would be really surprised if people don’t want to take one last opportunity to honor a real comedy legend here... who was so wonderful in The Studio," Ankler's awards editor Katey Richtold EXTRA in an article published Friday, Feb. 27.
Meanwhile, Variety also predicted in its recent coverage that One Battle After Another star Benecio del Toro will win the Male Actor in a Supporting Role award this weekend, even though his co-star Sean Penn won the BAFTA Film Award, and Stellan Skarsgård and Jacob Elordi won on the other big stages this season.
Another highlight from Sunday's awards show will be Woody Harrelson presenting fellow Oscar-nominee Harrison Ford with the prestigious Life Achievement Award. Although they've never appeared in a movie together, they share the connection of both starring in Star Wars films tied to the iconic character known as Han Solo.

Yerin Ha Reflects on Impact of Asian Representation in 'Bridgerton'
Bridgerton star Yerin Ha is speaking out on the importance of Asian representation in the entertainment industry.
In an exclusive interview with People at the Lunar New Year Gold Celebration hosted by Gold House, Ha shared her experience stepping into the romantic lead Sophie Baek in the fourth season of Bridgerton.
"It’s been really, really amazing and beautiful," she said. "I’ve been really caught up with a press tour, it has been really positive."
Ha expressed the significance of continuing to increase visibility for Asian actors and characters.
"I just feel so proud that I get to be the face of that and keep advocating for change and knowing that we deserve these roles and spaces," Ha said.
Ha's character, Sophie, is a maid who captures the attention of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) at a masquerade ball. Benedict meets Sophie as the mysterious Lady in Silver and sets out on a quest to find her. The season tackles the class disparities between Sophie and Benedict as they navigate their romance.
"We just have fun every day," Ha said of working on the series. "It was always a laugh on set, and everyone’s a good time and a good chat."
However, Ha shared in a January cover story for InStyle, that on screen intimacy initially made her nervous when preparing for Bridgerton.
"Being a woman in this industry, it’s a massive thing. People think that they have the right to talk about your body, how you look, and your external appearance," she said. “I've dealt with body image and that shame for a very, very long time — and I'm still working through it."
Ha added, "But what's been really nice about Sophie is she's taught me a lot about self-love and self-acceptance. I'm still working on accepting myself for my entirety and being happy with who I am. In a world where we strive for perfection, what does that look like?"
All episodes of Bridgerton season 4 are available to stream on Netflix.
Barbra Streisand Left Stunned by Unexpected ‘Miracle’ at Home
Prolific singer and actress Barbra Streisand took to social media to share an important update with fans as she revealed that a "miracle" recently occurred outside her house.
The 83-year-old appeared completely stunned as she shared a new photo on Instagram on Feb. 27, starting the caption by saying, "This is another miracle." The picture showed what is presumably a seating area right outside Streisand's house, with a beautiful flowered plant growing out of a big wall planter.
Explaining why the photo was so surprising, Streisand went on, "My cushions are all burgundy, but the bougainvillea plant doesn’t come in burgundy, so we just planted two different colors, crimson and purple, and what do you know, somehow they blended together and gave me the color I wished for."
She wondered if she manifested the unexpected flower blend, saying, "Is that another example of the power of thought? I have no idea. My mouth is just hanging open."
View this post on InstagramFans seemed equally amazed by the situation, with one writing back to Streisand in a comment, "The power of manifesting what you want! Congratulations Barbra!"
"The universe conspired to assist!!" read a similar reply, while more fans chimed in, saying things like, "Well, you are an angel that can make miracles happen 💕," and "Amazing! Nearly identical in color. Matchy- matchy!"
Another called it "magic," as others complimented Streisand on the "beautiful" flowers.

While most people know Streisand for her music or acting, she is actually quite the talented gardener and regularly shows off what's growing in her yard. In fact, in 2025, Streisand discovered a new variety of rose in her garden that was then named "Barbra's Baby," after the singer.
This wasn't the first rose to be named after Streisand either, with another variety bearing her name that was discovered in 2001. It's possible her new burgundy bougainvillea that just bloomed in her garden could go on to be named after her as well.

1956 Hit Ranked Among ‘Best Country Songs of All Time’ Became a Timeless Classic
Johnny Cash is more than a legend but is celebrated for being one of the 20th century's most important musicians, especially in country music.
His distinctive voice, heartfelt lyrics and steady hypnotic rhythm have without a doubt, captivated the hearts of fans and helped define the sound and soul of country music for generations to come.
Of his many timeless hits, one rose above the rest. Billboard ranked Johnny Cash’s 1956 classic “I Walk the Line” at No. 5 on its 100 Best Country Songs of All Time list, just behind George Jones’ “He Stopped Loving Her Today” (No. 4), Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again” (No. 3), Patsy Cline’s “Crazy” (No. 2) and Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” at No. 1.
As described by the publication, “I Walk the Line” appears as his love letter and a straightforward promise of faithfulness to his first wife, Vivian Liberto Cash.
“To look at ‘I Walk the Line’ merely at face value, as the solemn pledge of devotion to his first wife that a then newly married Cash intended it to be,” the article reads.

Featured on his debut studio album, the song's distinctive rhythm and message made it a major hit and the defining song of Johnny Cash’s career.
At the time, it marked his first No. 1 song on the Billboard country charts, reigning at the top for six weeks and staying on the charts for over 43 weeks.
With the popularity of “I Walk the Line,” Cash’s hit song sold over 2 million copies.
Interestingly, despite the song introducing the iconic "boom-chicka-boom" rhythm, it was originally crafted as a slow emotional ballad.
However, it was Sun Records founder Sam Phillips who wanted the track to be more upbeat, asking the band to record a different version, the faster rendition that would go on to become the major hit we know today.
Besides Billboard, Rolling Stone also included Cash’s “I Walk the Line” in their rankings of “Best Country Songs,” making it second place next to Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.”
This ‘90s Classic With a Near-Perfect Rotten Tomatoes Score Is Coming to Netflix
There are a number of incredible titles coming to Netflix this March, and that includes the 1996 film Matilda.
Starring Mara Wilson as Matilda Wormwood, Danny DeVito as Harry Wormwood, and Rhea Perlman as Zinnia Wormwood, Matilda hit theaters on July 28, 2006, and has been beloved by audiences young and old ever since.
With a whopping 92 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, the film is an adaptation of the Roald Dahl novel about a gifted young girl who discovers she has extraordinary powers and must stand up to her neglectful family and tyrannical school principal, Miss Trunchbull.
In addition to the stellar Rotten Tomatoes reviews, Roger Ebert gave Matilda three out of four stars.
The legendary film critic, who died on April 4, 2013, wrote that Matilda “doesn’t condescend to children, it doesn’t sentimentalize, and as a result it feels heartfelt and sincere.”
Danny DeVito, Mara Wilson, Brian Levinson, and Rhea Perlman star in the movie "Matilda" (1996). (Getty Images)Ebert noted that the story captures Roald Dahl’s darkly comic vision, writing that “Trunchbull is the kind of villainess children can enjoy, because she is too ridiculous to be taken seriously and yet really is mean and evil, like the witch in Snow White."
Ebert highlighted Matilda’s extraordinary intellect, describing her as “a very, very smart little girl whose parents neglect her when they are not insulting her,” and praised the depiction of her oppressive school, where children are punished by solitary confinement in a steamy closet with nails sticking through the walls.
He also applauded DeVito’s direction, saying there is “never a moment…that we sense DeVito is anything other than quite serious about this material,” and adding that the film “is not in any sense a ‘children’s movie,’ although older children will probably like it a lot. It is a dark family comedy about stupid parents, cruel teachers, and a brave little girl.”
Matilda will be available to stream on Netflix beginning on Sunday, March 1.

Neil Sedaka's Final Social Media Post Includes a Bittersweet Sentiment to Fans: 'Can't Wait to Share It With You'
In the days before his death at 86, Neil Sedaka was looking forward to sharing his legendary songwriting with a new age of fans, gearing up to release a decades-old album on streaming.
In fact, the musician was counting down the days until April on his social media, where he frequently shared clips of himself singing his hits while accompanying himself on the piano.
Three days before his death, he teased the upcoming streaming debut of his 1976 record Steppin’ Out, which completed his Rocket Record Company trilogy. Sedakas was excited to celebrate the "special anniversary," with the 50-year-old tracklist becoming available across multiple platforms for the very first time this spring.
“Tag a friend that makes you feel like this,” he wrote over the video, in which he jovially crooned the lyrics to “Good Times, Good Music, and Good Friends”—something "that’s always been [his] philosophy."
"Pre-save Steppin’ Out ahead of its release on April 10th, and get ready to groove to the 'Love in the Shadows' lyric video," he added alongside the video, pointing to his YouTube channel for one track fans can already access, concluding with a now bittersweet sentiment: "I can’t wait to share it with you again."

However, he was said to be “recovering” at the hospital not long before his family released an official statement announcing his death: “Our family is devastated by the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Neil Sedaka. Lisa Rinna Admits She Hated Former 'Days of Our Lives' Co-Star: 'Made Life a Living Hell'
Lisa Rinna is not holding back in her new memoir, You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It, and is proving that she's not afraid to call out bullies in Hollywood.
In the new release, the longtime actress, 62, looked back on her time on Days of Our Lives and shared that there was one co-star in particular who ruined her experience on the show. Rinna revealed that it was her on-screen love interest Robert Kelker-Kelly, accusing him of making her life on set a "living hell."
Rinna, who portrayed Billie Reed, was cast on the show in 1992 shortly after Kelker-Kelly assumed the role of Bo Brady.
"Behind the scenes, we hated each other," she wrote, per People. “Remember when Kathy Hilton said I was the biggest bully in Hollywood? Not true. Not even close! I have legit stories about the real bullies in this town. Robert Kelker-Kelly is one of those bullies.”
She continued, "He made my life a living hell on the set of Days. He was horrible to me. I’d go so far as to say verbally abusive. He was passive-aggressive, manipulative and played weird mind games."
Reflecting on the experience, Rinna admitted that she struggled to navigate filming together, which included love scenes where they were "often half naked."
“If I didn’t do what he wanted, he’d give me the silent treatment," she alleged in the book. “He was a ticking time bomb. I never knew when I arrived on set each morning if I’d get nice Robert Kelker-Kelly or dark Robert Kelker-Kelly. He was unpredictable and it was exhausting.”
Despite the struggle, Rinna says she never stood up to Kelker-Kelly, which she now regrets.
"I was too young, and I was not willing to make waves at my awesome new job," she explained. "I still lacked assertiveness and self-confidence when it came to men. If Robert Kelker-Kelly was in my Housewives orbit today, he never would have gotten away with his behavior.”
The pair continued to work together until 1995 when they both left the long-running series. Since their individual departures, other Days of Our Lives cast members have spoken out about Kelker-Kelly, including actress Crystal Chappell. In her memoir, The Perfect Art of Imperfection: My Life So Far, Chappell also called out Kelker-Kelly.
"I have no idea what the problem was and I didn't much care. All I knew was that from the minute he walked onto the set, I found him to be an aggressive, mean-spirited bully...I was afraid of him," she wrote.
Lisa Rinna's book, You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It, is available now.
Former MLB Player Sentenced to Life in Prison for Shooting In-Laws
Ex-MLB pitcher, Dan Serafini, was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his father-in-law and attempted murder of his mother-in-law.
A jury sentenced Serafini to life in prison without the possibility of parole, on Friday, Feb. 27, for the murder of his father-in-law Gary Spohr. Serafini also received a life sentence for the attempted murder of his mother-in-law Wendy Wood, who took her own life two years after the crime. Serafini was then given a sentence of 25 years to life for burglary.
The judge ordered that all three sentences be served consecutively and that restitution would be determined at a later date.
Serafini's estranged sister-in-law, Adrienne Spohr, told the courtroom, "He is a monster who knows no moral boundaries and has zero reservations about taking the lives of others to benefit himself."
During the trial, prosecutors said Serafini's motive for committing the crime was that he believed he would be able to acquire the couple's $23 million fortune through his wife's inheritance.
Serafini's wife, Erin Spohr, did not appear in court but a statement of support was read on her behalf that asked the judge for leniency.
Adrienne claimed that Serafini had continued to seek financial gain from her family even after the murder of her father and attempted murder of her mother.
"Dan showed no remorse. He cashed a $200,000 check made out to him from my mom’s account, just weeks after holding a gun to her head and pulling the trigger," she told the judge.
Adrienne continued to tell the courtroom about a disturbing situation during a family vacation saying, "Dan and Erin claimed it would benefit my mom’s recovery, but in reality, they were looking for a self-indulgent getaway at her expense."
Serafini gave his own remarks to the courtroom proclaiming his innocence and accused jurors of being "dishonest" and "liars" regarding the evidence in the case.
Serafini's former babysitter, Samantha Scott, testified that on June 5, 2021, she drove him near his in-laws home and drove him home shortly after the time of the incident. Security footage from that day showed an individual entering the Spohr's home.
Scott testified that those clothes worn by that individual matched Serafini's that he had disposed of that night. Scott also testified that Serafini disposed of a gun along with his clothing.
Serafini hid in the home for five hours before fatally shooting his father-in-law in the head and his mother-in-law in the head and shoulder. While Wood survived the attack, she underwent intense physical therapy for two years before her suicide.

The announcement featured a carousel of photos showing the newborn sleeping in his mother's arms, alongside candid black and white images of the couple and the baby in the hospital room. A final group photo showed the proud parents posing on the hospital bed with all five of their children.

Other notable figures, including Sadie Robertson and Megan Moroney, also left messages celebrating the newborn's arrival.

Erica Durance Reveals Why She Walked Off ‘Smallville’ Set Mid-Scene
Actress Erica Durance is opening up about playing Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane in the hit WB series, Smallville, which had a 10-season run until 2011.
During a February 2026 Smallville panel at Fan Expo Vancouver, alongside her castmatesTom Welling, who played Clark Kent, and Kristin Kreuk, who played Lana Lang, Durance said she once walked off the show's set. The actress, who joined the show during its 4th season, said she was annoyed by her co-star Michael Rosenbaum. She recalled trying to get through a scene with Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor, while he was goofing off.
"I think I only had three scenes with [Rosenbaum] and one of them, I left mid-scene and that was at the beginning," said Durance, causing Kreuk to laugh. "And he was just jacking around when I was trying to say one line and I'm already my own worst enemy and I was like, 'Screw this crap. I'm out of here.' And I just left."
Durance said that Rosenbaum was unaware she was upset.
"Everyone was like 'Michael you hurt her feelings.' And he was like, 'What?' 'Cause he's totally unaware," quipped Durance.
Welling then explained that "Michael has a very unique process" as an actor, where he's able to "goof around" and "jump off the walls" right before filming a scene.
"They start to roll the camera and he jumps right in and then the cut and he jumps back out. I don't really work that way. I kind of have to stay semi-focused," said Welling on the panel.
Erica Durance Got Candid About Joining 'Smallville' During Its 4th SeasonDurance has made several appearances on Welling and Rosenbaum's Smallville-themed podcast, Talkville. For instance, she recorded a February 2024 episode, wherein she shared she was constantly nervous when she first joined the Smallville cast. Rosenbaum replied that he never realized she was nervous because she was a "genius" and "so good" at playing Lois.
"You don't really see what other people see I think you want to do well and you don't want to let anybody down," said Durance on the 2024 podcast episode.
She also noted she was joining an already well-established cast as a new character.
"The last thing you want to do is be of any kind of detraction," said the actress to Welling and Rosenbaum.
This 1995 Robert De Niro Classic Is Hitting Netflix in March
By now, film lovers know that when actor Robert De Niro and director Martin Scorsese team up, it’s going to be movie magic.
Over the years, De Niro, 82, and Scorsese, 83, have worked together on movies like Mean Streets (1973), Taxi Driver (1976), New York, New York (1977), Raging Bull (1980), The King of Comedy (1982), Goodfellas (1990), Cape Fear (1991), The Irishman (2019), and most recently, Killers of the Flower Moon (2023).
Of course, we can’t forget the 1995 classic Casino, starring De Niro as Sam “Ace” Rothstein, Sharon Stone as Ginger McKenna, and Joe Pesci as Nicky Santoro.

(Photo by Universal Pictures/Getty Images)Casino, which will be available to stream on Netflix come March 1, turned 30 years old this past year. The crime drama is based on a true story about a Las Vegas casino run by the mafia during the 1970s and early 1980s.
The supporting cast of Casino includes James Woods as Lester Diamond, Don Rickles as Billy Sherbert, Kevin Pollak as Phillip Green, and Frank Vincent as Frank Marino.
At the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival, Scorsese reflected on the themes of Casino during a conversation with De Niro, moderated by stand-up comedian W. Kamau Bell at the Beacon Theatre before a screening of the film.
“You can go back to the ancient Greek tragedies,” Scorsese said. “It’s a basic story of hubris and pride, with the pride taking us all down.”
Discussing Pesci’s character, Bell noted to De Niro, “[Joe Pesci’s character] sort of takes nobody’s input. It’s his ideas or the highway, and that ultimately leads to his destruction. It’s almost an allegory for the times we live in. I don’t know if you guys ever thought about that?”
“Yeah, a little bit,” De Niro replied with a laugh. “Do you have a couple hours?”
Massive 1950s Franchise Brought Back to Life by ‘Ghostbusters’ Creators
Sony Pictures is setting the stage for a live-action adaptation of the 1950s Japanese mangaAstro Boy. The studio has tapped the creative duo behind the modern Ghostbusters franchise, Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan, who are reportedly developing the project.
Building a High-Tech PinocchioThe live-action Astro Boy film is currently in early development. While Reitman and Kenan are guiding the creative vision behind the scenes, Sony has not officially attached Reitman to direct the feature. Industry insiders report that he could ultimately take the helm if the script aligns with the studio's expectations.
Currently, Sony is actively searching for screenwriters to adapt Osamu Tezuka’s 1952 creation. The goal is to produce a four-quadrant family film. The studio envisions the movie as a robotic spin on the classic Pinocchio story, centered on an android endowed with human emotions who was designed to replace a grieving scientist's deceased son.
Expanding a Legacy RosterThis adaptation marks another major legacy property for Reitman and Kenan. The pair successfully revitalized the Ghostbusters universe, with Reitman directing 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Kenan taking over for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. They also co-wrote both films and are developing animated projects for Netflix.
Astro Boy has seen numerous adaptations over the decades. The most notable include a 1980 anime series and a 2009 CGI-animated film from Imagi Animation Studios and Summit Entertainment. In the original manga story, Astro is sold to a robot circus before being saved by a professor who acts as a father figure and builds him a robotic family. A major live-action theatrical release has remained elusive. If the duo can capture the core of the boy-like android, this could be the definitive adaptation audiences have waited for.
With the project still in its early stages, fans will have to wait for an official production timeline. As Sony continues its search for a writer, the involvement of Reitman and Kenan signals a serious commitment to bringing the 1952 manga back to the big screen.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus Returns to Television 7 Years After 'Veep'
Julia Louis-Dreyfus is taking on her first leading role on TV since Veep concluded its run in 2019.
Louis-Dreyfus will be starring alongside SNL alum Cecily Strong in a new limited series produced by Apple Studios. The series will be based on the New York Magazine article "The Nanny Squatter" by Bindu Bansinath.
According to Variety, the series will be written and directed by Mary Bronstein, who will also serve as showrunner. Louis-Dreyfus and Strong will be executive producers on the project.
The series will follow, "a couple whose lives are upended after welcoming a seemingly ideal caregiver into their home, only to find boundaries blurred and control slipping as the arrangement spirals into a tense, unsettling power struggle."
The upcoming limited series will be Louis-Dreyfus' first starring role on television since Veep. Her role as Selina Meyer on the HBO show earned her six consecutive Emmys.
Strong shared the news on her Instagram account and wrote that her "brain is exploding."
"We exchanged numbers so then I was able to text her about a fun article I read and our shared fangirling of Julia Louis-Dreyfus," Strong wrote. "And now we are back with my friends at Apple and I know it’s still early days (as we Love Islanders say) but how often do I ever have something like this to talk about with icons like this next to me?!? I’m talking bout it!"
She added, "I’m celebrating even getting to this stage! Time cast a spell on you etc etc etc it’s very important you take a general with a super cool writer director and don’t be afraid to order an aggressive cocktail."
46 Years Ago Today, No. 1 Hit Won the First—and Last—Disco Grammy
Forty-six years ago today, Feb. 27, 1980, a disco anthem made Grammy history — and helped close the book on the genre’s brief reign at the awards show.
At the 22nd Annual Grammy Awards, Gloria Gaynor’s 1978 smash “I Will Survive” won Best Disco Recording—a category introduced that year and eliminated the very next, so it remains the first and only Grammy ever awarded specifically for disco.
The timing was almost surreal.

By 1980, disco had already dominated radio, dance floors and pop charts for years. “I Will Survive” had topped the Billboard Hot 100 in March 1979, spending three non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 and eventually selling more than 15 million copies worldwide. Originally released as the B-side to “Substitute,” the song became a hit only after club DJs flipped the record and started spinning it instead.
Written by Freddie Perren and Dino Fekaris, the lyrics captured defiance and resilience—themes that resonated far beyond the dance floor. The track quickly became a cultural touchstone and an enduring LGBTQ+ anthem.

But even as the Recording Academy formally recognized disco in 1980, backlash against the genre was already boiling over. The infamous “Disco Demolition Night” in Chicago the previous summer had turned chaotic. Rock acts were being marketed as antidotes to glitter and four-on-the-floor beats. Record executives were beginning to question disco’s commercial staying power.
Within a year, the Grammy category disappeared.
The song survived. The award did not.
More than four decades later, “I Will Survive” remains one of the most recognizable dance songs ever recorded—it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2012 and preserved in the National Recording Registry in 2016, and in the 2024 update, Rolling Stone placed "I Will Survive" at No. 251 on its 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
The disco Grammy? That survived exactly one night.

Hilary Duff may have taught us how to “Come Clean” years ago, but now she’s talking about doing it in her skincare routine. During a recent radio interview, Duff shared that she has updated how she washes her face, explaining that her facialist told her, "You need to be washing three times to get all your makeup off.” This led her to adopt a layered cleansing routine that starts with oil, moves into “a gentle cleanser that has a gentle peel to it,” and finishes with either “a rice powder or cleanser or an enzyme-boosting powder cleanser,” a process she says “has made my skin squeaky clean.”
She also revealed that exfoliation plays a role in maintaining that glow. “Two times a week, I exfoliate and use this clinical two-step pad that's an exfoliator,” she noted, adding that she's been happy with the results. If you’re curious how to recreate that multi-step approach at home, there are several highly rated Amazon products that align with each step of Duff’s routine, including her must-have exfoliator and the beauty tool she uses to enhance her skincare.

One of the Most Talked-About Romance Franchises Is Coming to Netflix
With Fifty Shades of Grey (2015), Fifty Shades Darker (2017), and Fifty Shades Freed (2018) set to stream on Netflix, fans of the best-selling romance phenomenon have a new reason to revisit the series.
The blockbuster film franchise, based on E. L. James’ novels of the same name, became a global cultural moment following the release of the first movie, starring Dakota Johnsonas Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, and now all three installments are heading to the platform this March.
Even if it’s been more than a decade since the first movie premiered, it’s likely an experience Johnson, 36, will never forget.

(Photo by Justin Goff Photos/Getty Images)Speaking candidly in a 2022 interview with Vanity Fair, Johnson reflected on the experience of making the films, calling the process “psychotic.” She added, “I don’t think anyone would’ve done it,” underscoring just how intense the production felt in hindsight.
However, Johnson did make it clear that she and Dornan, 43, had the utmost respect for each other. “There was never a time when we didn’t get along,” she assured. “I know it’s weird, but he’s like a brother to me. I love him so, so, so much. And we were really there for each other. We had to really trust each other and protect each other.”
Though the films have appeared on Netflix in the past, they cycled off the service when licensing deals expired. You can stream the 50 Shades franchise on Netflix beginning on Sunday, March 1.
