Why Did the SAG Awards Change Their Name to the Actor Awards?

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 12:10pm

The Actor Awards—formerly known as the SAG Awards—is coming up on Sunday, Mar. 1. But you may be wondering, why did the awards show change their name?

In November 2025, SAG-AFTRA announced that, starting in 2026, the Screen Actors Guild Awards will now be known as “The Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA."

According to the organization, the change was made to align the name of the awards show with the name of the statue that’s handed out—like the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys and Golden Globes. The trophy given out at the SAG Awards has been known as the “Actor” since the inaugural ceremony in 1995.

“Since the beginning, our statue has been called ‘The Actor’ and we’re a show that’s entirely about actors, so this new name is a perfect next step in the show’s evolution,” said Jon Brockett, executive producer of the awards show, according to Deadline. “‘The Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA’ gives viewers in 190-plus countries an immediate understanding of who we are and what we’re about.”

RELATED: The 2026 SAG Awards Are Now ‘The Actor Awards’: Inside the Shocking Name Change, Nominations and More

According to an FAQ published by SAG-AFTRA, the name change had been in the works for a long time prior to the announcement. The idea gained traction after the live broadcast of the ceremony moved to Netflix in 2023, given that international audiences may not be familiar with what “SAG” means.

“We wanted to provide clearer recognition in terms of what the show is about for our domestic and global audiences – we honor actors in film and television,” SAG-AFTRA said. “Laser-focusing the name on those two things became the clearest and most straightforward path for this new chapter of the show… and, as the show’s global audience expanded through Netflix, the timing felt right to make the alignment official and step confidently into the show’s next era.”

However, despite the name change, the organization clarified they’re okay with past award winners referring to their recognition as a “SAG Award.”

“We understand there will be a period of transition where people—past winners and audiences included—will still refer to their award and the show as the SAG Awards, and that’s OK,” they said in the FAQ. “We know it’ll take time to adjust to the change.”

The 2026 Actor Awards will be held on Sunday, Mar. 1 and will stream live on Netflix.

63 Years Ago Today, Patsy Cline Gave a TV Performance No One Knew Would Be Her Last

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 12:03pm

On this day 63 years ago, beloved entertainer Patsy Cline made what is believed to be her last television appearance. During that final TV appearance, which took place on The Glenn Reeves Show on February 28, 1963, Cline sang "I Fall to Pieces" along with "San Antonio Rose."

Neither Cline, nor her fans, ever anticipated that her performance on The Glenn Reeves show would be her last television appearance. Tragically, as This Day in Music noted, Cline died in a plane crash just five days later.

Just days after her television performance, Cline boarded a flight back to Nashville after performing at a benefit concert in Kansas City.

On March 5, 1963, the plane crashed near Camden, Tennessee, killing Cline and three others on board. Cowboy Copas, Hawkshaw Hawkins, and pilot Randy Hughes died in the plane crash in addition to Cline.

Though Cline was only 30 years old when she died, she accomplished a great deal in her short career and remains a country singing icon all these decades later.

Cline was a trailblazer in the country music genre. She was one of the first female country artists to headline major tours and command top billing. In addition, Cline was also the first female solo artist to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, an honor that came a decade after her death.

Despite her impressive accomplishments, Cline wasn't an immediate star as her singing career began. Her early recordings in the mid-1950s didn’t immediately make waves. As she worked to make her mark in the industry, Cline performed "Walkin' After Midnight" on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts. She won the televised talent competition.

Even after that, Cline had to battle for the success she eventually achieved. A serious car accident in June 1961 nearly killed her, noted American Songwriter.

During her month-long hospital stint, Cline's "I Fall to Pieces" climbed the Billboard music charts and became her first number 1 country hit. She didn't let her injuries slow her down, as she performed at the Grand Ole Opry while still needing crutches. She also recorded "Crazy" while recovering and still in significant amounts of pain.

Cline first appeared on the Grand Ole Opry in January 1955. She returned as a guest numerous times after that, but made a bold move that had a significant impact on her career. She asked to become a cast member.

In January, Grand Ole Opry noted via Facebook, "To this day, Patsy Cline remains the only artist in Opry history to gain membership simply by asking."

Patsy Cline’s final TV appearance may have been her last, but it left a timeless memory that fans still cherish today.

Transgender Activist Alexandra Billings Recalls Eric Dane's 'Brave' Moment on 'Grey's Anatomy'

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 12:01pm

Actress and transgender activist, Alexandra Billings, shared an emotional story about a brave act by late Eric Dane on the Grey's Anatomy set.

Billings shared a touching memory in an Instagram post on Friday, Feb. 20, from when she worked with Dane on a season 3 episode of Grey's Anatomy. Billings was cast as a transgender patient diagnosed with breast cancer. Billings noted while she only worked with Dane briefly, she felt that the story was important to share and spoke to his character.

"I got the role on Grey's Anatomy, which was shocking to me. I hadn't done a lot of television, and I was floored. This was 2006," Billings said. "Now, 20 years ago, the landscape for transgender performers in Hollywood was the Sahara Desert; it was nonexistent."

Billings recalled the first time she met Dane on set during filming the episode titled "Where the Boys Are."

"I meet Eric, who is lovely, and we do our first scene together," she recalled. "The first scene is Eric and my character, Donna, explaining to Ellen [Pompeo], and he's misgendering me a little bit, and we have this great little back-and-forth scene. We do it a couple of times, and the director says, 'Cut.'"

Billings then said between takes, Dane asked her about her experience transitioning in the 80s.

"Eric turns to me between takes and says, 'Alex, listen, what happened between you and your doctor when you talked to him about hormones and treatment? What transpired?'" she said.

Billings said she felt hesitant to answer at first, fearing that she needed to just "say her lines" and move on. Billings said that Dane, sensing her hesitancy, then reassured her, "It's okay, I really want to know.'"

"The entire set stops and listens to me because of Eric. Again, this was 20 years ago," Billings recalled.

Billings then shared with Dane how her doctor at the time was able to show her compassion and support during her transition. She said when they shot the scene again, Dane changed his demeanor after listening to her story.

"We start the scene again and as we are talking, Eric puts his hand on my shoulder, and then we do another take and Eric puts his hand right on my thigh or my knee," she said emotionally. "And then at the end of the scene, he takes my hand —this isn't in the script — he holds my hand, and I put my hand on top of his."

Billings moved to tears added, "I know how mundane this sounds, but back then, it changed everythingfor me. This compassionate, kind, brave human being changed everything for me."

Billings said Dane was "one of the kindest, most empathetic humans I think I've ever worked with."

The English beauty, known for her marriages to Beatles legend George Harrison and musician Eric Clapton, is currently sharing photos from her vacation in Morocco and hasn't changed all that much from her days palling around with some of music's biggest names. But as the world is eagerly waiting to see White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood in costume as Boyd in director Sam Mendes' upcoming four-part Beatles biopic, it's great to see the woman who inspired the character thriving in her eighties.

"Am loving Marrakesh. Back home soon..," Boyd captioned her most recent photo, as she sat at a table with friends, dressed in a caftan.

Casting the Wives of the Beatles

Mendes has spoken about the arduous process of casting the Beatles' wives for his upcoming project, currently titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.

“Maureen, Linda, Yoko, and Pattie are four fascinating and unique figures in their own right – and I’m thrilled that we’ve managed to persuade four of the most talented women working in film today to join this amazing adventure,” Mendes said in a statement, USA Today reported.

Who Will Play the Beatles?

Normal People star Paul Mescal is set to play McCartney, while Harris Dickinson of Babygirl will play John LennonJoseph Quinn, known for Stranger Things, will play Harrison, while Barry Keoghan, known for Saltburn, is set to play Starr, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.

Punk in the Park Cancels All 2026 Dates After Political Backlash

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 11:55am

Fans hoping to raise a pint and a fist at Punk in the Park will have to rethink their plans. The craft beer–powered punk tour has canceled all 2026 dates after renewed backlash over its founder’s political donation, with bands pulling out and the whole thing collapsing in real time.

What Did Punk in the Park Post?

In a Friday, February 27 update, organizers confirmed the decision in a statement shared on the festival’s official Instagram account.

“It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the Punk in the Park road show events scheduled for 2026,” organizers wrote. The traveling festival had planned stops on April 18 in Pittsburgh, May 2 in Orlando, and May 23 at the Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo.

View this post on Instagram

“These shows were something we truly believed in, and we know how much they meant to many of you,” organizers added. “Unfortunately, the current climate surrounding the events has created challenges that make it impossible for us to move forward in a way that delivers the experience our fans, artists, and partners deserve.”

All ticket holders will receive automatic refunds. Organizers also left the door slightly open for a return, writing, “We hope this is not the end of Punk in the Park, but rather a pause while we regroup and look toward the future.”

For those unfamiliar, Punk in the Park is a traveling festival that pairs live punk rock shows with craft beer sampling. Organized by Brew Ha Ha Productions, it brings together veteran and up-and-coming punk acts, regional breweries, food vendors, and an electric, community-driven vibe steeped in punk culture. The event has grown into multiple U.S. cities, drawing crowds who come for both the music and the beer, all anchored in punk’s defiant energy.

Why Did Punk In The Park Cancel 2026?

The controversy centers on a previously reported donation made by Cameron Collins, owner of Brew Ha Ha Productions, to Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. The contribution drew criticism last year and resurfaced in recent weeks, reigniting debate within punk’s traditionally anti-authoritarian community.

In response to the backlash in 2025, Collins addressed the criticism in an Instagram statement: “Like many Americans, my political views don’t neatly fit into a single box or party affiliation. I believe in fairness, humanity, free expression, and fostering unity among people. That’s how I’ve tried to live my life and conduct my business.”

The renewed scrutiny quickly reached the lineup. As reported by the SF Chronicle, Dead Kennedys said they would honor their already scheduled 2026 appearances in Pittsburgh and Vallejo, but would not participate in future Punk in the Park events.

Dead Kennedys – still stable reactions 👊#deadkennedys #punkrockhistory pic.twitter.com/UC8UK0GotZ

— Punkrock History (@PunkRockStory) February 25, 2026

“Dead Kennedys have always stood firmly against authoritarianism, racism, and fascism. That has not changed,” the band wrote. Former frontman Jello Biafra also weighed in, criticizing the move in a statement to Stereogum: “They’re taking the money $$$, and THEN pulling out? The real Dead Kennedys would never have let this happen in the first place."

And just hours before the cancellation was announced, the Adicts exited the bill, stating, “Punk rock should unify us, not divide us.”

How Did Fans React to the Cancellation?

Online reaction was swift and blunt, especially on Reddit. Some fans welcomed the decision, with one writing, “Awesome. Now, hopefully someone can set up a similar event so people can still go see bands without all the suspect politics.”

Others felt like the organizers’ statement didn’t state the actual problem. “That’s a fun way of saying everyone dropped out,” one commenter posted. More criticism targeted the organizers. “Imagine selling out this hard and not even getting paid,” another user wrote, while someone else added, “Man, when even bands like The Exploited are dropping out, you know it's the end.”

For now, the future of Punk in the Park remains uncertain, with organizers framing the cancellation as a pause rather than a final curtain call.

Brother of Missing Woman Amy Bradley Makes Bold Declaration About Nancy Guthrie Case

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 11:51am

It's been almost 28 years since Amy Bradley went missing, but her brother has never given up hope—and he believes Nancy Guthrie's family shouldn't either.

Brad Bradley, the younger brother of the missing woman whose disappearance is chronicled in the Netflix documentary Amy Bradley Is Missing, recently weighed in on the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie's beloved mom Nancy, who has been missing since Feb. 1.

Speaking to News Nation, Brad noted that "fortunately for the Guthrie's," Nancy has only been missing for about a month, which seems a short period of time compared to the 28 years that his sister has been missing.

"There's still a good chance that [Nancy] can be found," he further declared, sharing his hope that "she's still with us."

Savannah and her siblings have also expressed that they are praying for a "miracle," as they hold out hope that their mom may still be alive. Nancy is 84 years old, and has a number of health conditions, including one that requires she take medication for survival.

She is believed to have been abducted from her home outside of Tucson, Ariz., on Feb. 1. Authorities have been searching for her for 28 days now.

As for the Bradley family, it's been nearly three decades since Amy went missing from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in 1998.

After she and her brother were out until the early morning hours of March 24, 1998, Amy was last seen by her dad on the balcony in their state room at around 5:30 a.m. By the time the family awoke for the day, Amy was gone.

Still, Brad said his family continues to "hope against hope."

"The hope doesn’t go away," he continued. "As unrealistic as it may be to some people, it’s possible that she’s still alive and still out there."

’80s Movie Star Was John F. Kennedy Jr.’s Longest Relationship Before Carolyn Bessette

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 11:36am

John F. Kennedy had no shortage of female companionship throughout his lifetime, and one of his longest relationships before Carolyn Bessette was with an '80s movie star.

Kennedy dated Daryl Hannah from 1998 through 1994. They first met early in the 80s, per PEOPLE Magazine, on the Caribbean island of St. Martin. They reconnected in 1988 at a Kennedy family wedding of his aunt, Lee Radziwill, to director Herb Ross (Steel Magnolias, a film in which Hannah starred).

Their relationship was on-again, off-again for years. Reportedly, Kennedy's mother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, was against their union, but PEOPLE said Hannah's stepmother, Sue Wexler, disputed those rumors. She told the outlet, "The stories I’ve heard are just unbelievable. Daryl told me [Onassis] has been very warm and affectionate.”

The Splash star is played by actress Dree Hemingway in the FX series Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette. She shared her thoughts about playing the titular role with the magazine, Town & Country.

Hemingway says, "You have to live in the moment, when they’re still together. I think theirs was an on-and-off relationship, and when you get to the end of having been together for a long time, it either works or it doesn't."

She added, "Sometimes you can really love a person, and it just doesn’t work out. I wanted to be sensitive to the fact that this is her real life and have respect for people who have relationships that end.”

"Daryl so badly wants to be accepted into this family because she loves John so much,” Hemingway concluded. “I think she wants to have this connection, and she’s so badly wanting to settle down and be more to this person, but there’s a conflict there. He's met somebody who he has these sparks with.”

The sparks Hemingway referred to were the ones he found with the woman who would become his future wife, Carolyn Bessette. They first met at the Calvin Klein flagship store in 1992 and would become a full-fledged couple in 1994 after the death of Kennedy's mother, Jackie.

Kennedy proposed to Bessette in July 1995. They married on September 21, 1996, in an intimate ceremony on Georgia’s Cumberland Island.

On July 16, 1999, the plane Kennedy piloted en route to Rory Kennedy’s wedding, with Carolyn and her older sister Lauren onboard, crashed, according to a report by the NTSB. It read that the crash occurred due to, "the pilot's failure to maintain control of the airplane during a descent over water at night, which was a result of spatial disorientation. Factors in the accident were haze and the dark night."

Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on FX.

Dollar General

As for the farm-inspired designs, picking a favorite might be a challenge. But at just $3 a pop, we'd say go ahead and throw caution to the wind by snagging both. Our favorite, the Hen design, features a playful hen strutting confidently among delicate botanical accents. With deep blue detailing and a matching handle and rim, this mug is as delightful to hold as it is to look at.

The second design is just as charming, depicting a whimsical stack of classic farm animals: a chicken perched atop a pig, which stands proudly on a cow. Soft green illustrations and a matching handle and rim bring the scene to life, putting farmhouse charm directly in your hands to enjoy.

Patrick Dempsey Wanted Eric Dane to Play His Brother on 'Memory of a Killer' Before His Death

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 11:27am

Patrick Dempsey and Eric Dane were known for playing best friends on Grey's Anatomy—but now Dempsey is revealing they nearly played on-screen brothers.

In an interview with Metro UK, Dempsey revealed that he tried to get Dane a spot on his new Fox series Memory of a Killer as his character Angelo's brother, who is suffering from advanced dementia just as Angelo receives a diagnosis for it.

"I tried to get him hired to play my brother in the show," Dempsey said. "His agent had reached out, and we were trying to make it work, but it’s just so shocking how rapidly the disease progressed."

Dempsey first shared that he tried to get his former co-star a spot on the show in an exclusive interview with Parade in January, but did not reveal what the role was until now.

“We were trying to get him in [Memory of a Killer] but unfortunately, the progression of his disease made it virtually impossible,” Dempsey said at the time. “But I was happy to see that he was here in Toronto working on, I think, another medical drama [Brilliant Minds].”

Dane died at the age of 53 on Thursday, Feb. 19 following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS.

"He was a remarkable actor and a remarkable man to work with, and he is deeply missed," Dempsey added. "He gave everything he could to bring awareness to his disease at the very end.
I know it was very physically difficult for him, but it was incredibly honorable that he did it, and he stayed strong, and he fought as long as he could, and now he's in a peaceful place."

Dempsey and Dane starred on Grey’s Anatomy together from 2006 to 2012. On the show, the pair played best friends Dr. Derek Shepherd and Dr. Mark Sloan — who were dubbed “McDreamy” and “McSteamy,” respectively.

In Memory of a Killer, Dempsey has taken on an entirely different type of role, portraying a contract killer and family man struggling to keep his two lives separate as his memory begins to fail.

Mario Lopez's Net Worth in 2026: From 'Saved by the Bell' to Hollywood Heavyweight

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 11:22am

Mario Lopez has been a fixture on American television for over four decades. You’ve seen him interviewing celebrities on Access Hollywood, hosting award shows, or starring in charming holiday films. Audiences first met him as the lovable jock A.C. Slater on Saved by the Bell. But Lopez has built an empire that extends far beyond the iconic walls of Bayside High — and Lopez's net worth proves it.

The 52-year-old has mastered the art of reinvention by seamlessly transitioning from teen heartthrob to one of entertainment's most recognizable hosts. But he’s also a Broadway performer, bestselling author and beloved media personality.

While the entertainment industry is notorious for discarding former child stars, Lopez has demonstrated his incredible staying power. Instead of fading from the spotlight like many other teen stars from his era, Lopez doubled down and diversified his talents across television, radio, publishing and live events.

With his career spanning acting, hosting, writing, radio and entrepreneurship, Lopez is the rare entertainer who appeals to multiple generations. Millennials remember him from Saturday morning reruns, Gen X watched him in real time and younger audiences know him as the friendly face delivering the celebrity news their parents trust.

But just how much has this multi-hyphenate entertainer accumulated over his impressive career? Everyone take a seat because class is now in session. Here's Mario Lopez's net worth.

How did Mario Lopez become famous?

Lopez was born on October 10, 1973, in San Diego, California. His path to stardom began at age 10 when a talent agent discovered him at a dance recital. This led to local commercials and advertisements.

His first big television role came in 1984 on the series A.K.A. Pablo, followed by a stint on the popular kids' show Kids Incorporated. But in 1989 he would become a household name, when he was cast as A.C. Slater on Saved by the Bell. The show ran from 1989 to 1993 and became a cultural phenomenon. Lopez's portrayal of the charming wrestler made him one of the '90s most memorable teen idols.

When Saved by the Bell ended, Lopez could have easily faded into "where are they now?" territory. Instead, he brilliantly pivoted into hosting. His early hosting work included Name Your Adventure from 1992 to 1995, but his real breakthrough came when he joined Extra as a correspondent before eventually being promoted to main host. This led to his current run on Access Hollywood and Access Daily, where he's become synonymous with entertainment news.

'Scream 7’ Shatters Franchise Record With Massive Opening Weekend

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 11:18am

Ghostface is back—and he’s headed towards the box office.

Paramount and Spyglass’ Scream 7 had a historic debut on Friday, February 27, pulling in $28.8 million on opening day, including $7.8 million from Thursday previews.

The slasher sequel is now tracking for a $60 million-plus opening weekend across thousands of theaters, with some industry estimates projecting as high as $66.5 million. If those numbers hold, the film will easily surpass the previous franchise record of $44.5 million set by Scream 6 in 2023.

The strong performance followers a turbulent production period. After Melissa Barrera was fired from the franchise in 2023 after sharing a social media post accusing Israel of “genocide and ethnic cleansing,” original Scream writer Kevin Williamson stepped in to direct, while Neve Campbell returned to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott after sitting out the previous installment due to a pay dispute.

But that return appears to have paid off creatively and financially.

According to Variety, Paramount and Spyglass reportedly secured Campbell’s return with a $7 million paycheck, proving her presence was vital to the film’s marketing and overall legacy. Longtime co-star Courteney Cox, who reprises her role as Gale Weathers, reportedly earned around $2 million.

Industry analysts suggest Campbell’s return may have reassured longtime fans. “Neve Campbell is to ‘Scream’ whatJamie Lee Curtisis to the ‘Halloween’ franchise. She’s a big draw, especially for older generations who grew up with the original films,” Shawn Robbins, director of movie analytics at Fandango and founder of Box Office Theory, told the outlet.

Whether the momentum holds in the weeks ahead remains to be seen. But for now, Sidney Prescott’s return has delivered exactly what the franchise needed.

1967 Hit Was Rock Band's Secret Farewell to Their Fans

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 11:15am

The Rolling Stones are still going strong today, but nearly 60 years ago, Mick Jaggerand Keith Richardsthought the band was coming to an unexpected and controversial end. So, they decided to record one last song as a proper farewell to all their fans and supporters.

"We Love You," released in August 1967, is a prime cut of the day's psychedelia, recorded as the band was putting together their sixth British studio album, Their Satanic Majesties Request. "We don't care if you hound we / And love the dogs around we / Love can't get our minds off /  We love you (We love you)," sings Jagger on the bridge

The song is fueled by Nicky Hopkins' impressive piano riff, along with Brian Jones on the Mellotron, and backing vocals and percussion by John Lennonand Paul McCartney (who stopped by during the final recording session, alongside poet Alan Ginsberg).

"They looked like little angels," Ginsberg would write of the session, per Far Out, "like Botticelli Graces singing together for the first time."

Ironically, at the time, Jagger and Richards were hoping for some divine intervention.

On Feb. 12, 1967, police raided Richards's mansion in Redlands Road, West Wittering, Sussex. The newspaper, News of the World, which Jagger was suing for libel at the time, later admitted it was the "reliable source" whose tip-off to the police led to the raid.

The raid uncovered "minute traces of cannabis resin, incense and joss-sticks," according to The Guardian, as well as "our amphetamine capsules loose in the pocket of a jacket, which Jagger was later to say were his, although in reality they belonged to [Marianne] Faithfull." Jagger was charged with possession, while Richards was charged with allowing his house to be used for the purpose of smoking cannabis; both pleaded not guilty and were released on bail.

In June, Jagger and Richards stood trial and were both found guilty. Mick was sentenced to a £200 fine and to three months' imprisonment; he was released immediately upon appeal. Keith received a year's prison sentence —he spent a single night in Wormwood Scrubs; his conviction would later be overturned.

The Rolling Stones released "We Love You" in August, with a video/short film that referenced the trials and tribulations the band faced at the time. The song was the band's way of addressing their fans and supporters during this controversial time. It peaked at No. 8 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"That's jail to me," Richards once said of the song. "We were on bail. We thought we were going to go to jail, basically. It was kind of like a last fling before the jail doors started slamming. We thought, 'Well, you know, we won't be doing this for a while.' That was a really low point because we figured they'd really nailed us. And that was kinda going to be our last tune for a while."

"Nicky Hopkins was there doing that beautiful piano thing," he added. "In the beginning, it was a real dirge. We had to sort of speed it up somehow without losing that dirge-like, prism-like feel. At that time, it was like, 'Let's get as much in the can as possible before the door clangs.' You know, 'We Love You, Goodbye' was the original title, I think."

Kathy Ireland has worn some incredible fashions over the years, but nothing compares to her childhood newspaper delivery uniform.

One of the most iconic models of the 1980s and 1990s, Ireland, 62, could make a potato sack look attractive. That's why it's no surprise that when the brunette beauty came across her old uniform from her paper route and put it on, she still looked absolutely stunning.

"Dad always said, 'Kathy, always give 110%. If the customer expects the paper on the driveway, get it on the front porch.' Oh my goodness! I just found my newspaper sacks from 50 years ago! So many memories! 101 customers, 7 days a week, plus door-to-door monthly collections for 3 1/2 years! Priceless childhood lessons, especially in customer relations and service!" Ireland captioned the photos and video, which showed her recreating her paper route by throwing a paper against a doorstep. She even put on the newspaper sacks and still managed to look stunning, naturally.

“The lessons I’m learning from being out at sea are amazing,” Ireland told the publication. “They’re powerful. Much of it aligns with business. And being out there in truly God’s country, where we’re just surrounded by just the wide open sea — it’s beautiful. It’s hard work, but I have a renewed appreciation for what my husband and so many others do. I knew it was hard work. But I knew, unless I experienced it, I wouldn’t fully understand why he has this passion.”

Billy Joel's Long Island Estate Sells for Record-Breaking Amount

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 11:05am

Three years after it first hit the market, Billy Joel's 26-acre "Middlesea" estate on Long Island has finally sold! The last piece of the Centre Island compound sold for $23,250,000. This, combined with the previous sale "The Gate House" for $7 million in May 2025, puts the entire compound at a record-breaking $28.75 million. According to Newsday, the previous record was for the Long Island estate of Erchless, which sold for $21 million in 2024.

The listing was handled by the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Laffey International Realty. "It's a remarkable transaction that has totally changed the luxury market of Long Island," the company's CEO, Emmett Laffey, told Newsday.

While the $29 million price tag may have broken a record, the compound's original selling price in 2023 was $49 million. A year later, it was taken off the market for renovations and then re-listed at $50 million.

In December 2024, the 5-acre Gate House was listed separately from the rest of the property for $8.5 million, and the price of the remaining estate was slashed down to $39 million. It's unclear whether the price was slashed again or if the new owners were able to negotiate it down to $7 million.

The beachfront Gate House is impressive, with 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, a media room, a heated gunite pool, and an outdoor pergola. However, it pales in comparison to the rest of the estate, which includes the Main House, Beach House, and Guest House. The homes are each decked out in marble and mahogany, and feature a bowling alley, wine cellar, spa, and even a ballroom.

The 14.6-acre property includes 2,000 feet of beach, a floating dock, and a boat ramp for those wanting to get out into Oyster Bay Harbor. There's even a swimming pool and a helipad.

Despite selling Middlesea, the "Piano Man" hasn't gone far. He still has another home on Long Island, in Sag Harbor. In 2024, he also bought another home in East Hampton. The 5-bedroom, 5-bath home includes a heated barn, Grand Prix field, and other amenities -perfect for a member of the U.S. Equestrian Federation, like his wife, Alexis.

'Below Deck' Captain Jason Chambers Teases Interest in 'The Traitors' (Exclusive)

Sat, 02/28/2026 - 11:05am

Captain Jason Chambers is best known for running a tight ship on Below Deck Down Under, but the Bravo fan favorite isn't ruling out a trip to Scotland.

When asked whether he’d consider joining Peacock’s hit reality competition The Traitors, the Australia native didn’t hesitate. "I’d do America for sure," he exclusively told Parade, sharing that he’d be open to competing on the U.S. version of the Emmy-winning series, which is set in a remote castle in the Scottish Highlands.

He wouldn’t be alone in making the leap. Chief Stew Kate Chastain appeared on both seasons 1 and 2 of the series, making it all the way to the finale in the latter.

Fellow franchise Chief Stew Daisy Kelliherpreviously told Parade "hopefully, maybe one day I’ll get the opportunity to go into the castle," adding she believes she’d be “great in there” and eager to show fans a different side of herself. Captain Sandy Yawn has also expressed interest, confirming in an earlier interview that she "would do The Traitors for sure,” while at the same time saying, "I don’t know how well I would do."

For now, Jason's focus extends beyond reality TV. He revealed he’s self-funding a new travel and conservation project aimed at spotlighting environmental efforts around the world. "I'm going to destinations, talking about destinations. I want to do more about the travel and more about the food, but I'm also talking about the conservation projects and the people that are actually doing things that are unsung," he told Parade, citing coral restoration initiatives and plastic-recycling programs in Indonesia among the causes he wants to highlight.

The project, he added, is as much about educating himself as it is about inspiring his tween daughter and his audience to think more consciously about travel and environmental impact.

Below Deck Down Under airs on Bravo Mondays at 8/7c.
