‘American Idol' 2026: Who Went Through to the Top 30 Tonight?
American Idol’s “Hollywood Week: Music City Takeover” continued on Monday night, pushing hopefuls to their maximum potential as they competed to wow judges Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan in an effort to make it into the Top 30.
With only 30 out of the 127 artists earning a Golden Ticket to Hollywood Week moving on, the judges are making the largest cuts they’ve had to make to date, but make it they did. The format for the night was the remaining artists performed with a full band and it was sink or swim, meaning the dream ended for the majority of the hopefuls. But the best of the best survived.
But before the Top 30 learned their fate, there were two sing-offs. It was Jayson Garner vs Michael Garner and Mary Jo Young vs Chloe Lauren. Check out our spoiler-filled recap below to see who is going through to the next stage in the competition.

'Paradise' Season 2 Episode 4 Has Fans Ready To Fight Hulu: 'Why Did You Do This To Me?'
ParadiseSeason 2 is well underway, with the three-episode premiere having dropped on Hulu and Disney+ on February 23 and the fourth episode having released on March 2. However, while fans may have believed they knew where this season was going following the first three episodes, Episode 4 introduced a jaw-dropping, heartbreaking plot twist that has the Internet in an uproar.
SPOILER—This post includes spoilers from Paradise Season 2 Episode 4.
Season 2 Episode 1 introduced a brand-new character, Annie (Shailene Woodley), a young woman who had been working as a tour guide at Elvis Presley'sestate, Graceland, when the supervolcano (followed by a massive tsunami and even nuclear warfare) struck. The first episode of the new season revealed that Annie stayed there, alongside a woman named Gayle (Angel Laketa Moore), in the aftermath.
Sadly, Gayle died, but it seemed as though Annie was going to become a major new character on the show. She had her own arc wherein she became pregnant following her encounter with a man named Link (Thomas Doherty), who is on a mission to "restart the world," along with a group of his friends. By the end of Episode 3, she had also already crossed paths with star of the show Xavier (Sterling K. Brown).
Yet, Episode 4 shocked audiences by revealing that Annie's arc was going to be far from what many were expecting following the three-episode premiere. Although she had befriended Xavier, positioning her as a key character, she went into labor and, due to her preeclampsia, she died.
She did deliver the baby and get to meet her before her sudden death—leaving Xavier with the task of bringing the baby to her father—but it seems that Annie's story in Paradise may already be over, just as it was getting started.
Fans, who had taken to Annie quickly and were expecting her to have a much longer run on the show, have since expressed their heartbreak, distress and even anger about this shocking plot twist online.
In one TikTok, a Paradise viewer sobbed and asked, "Why would you do this to me?" Commenters seemed to agree, with one saying, "i’m so mad i was legit yelling wait what she’s supposed to be a main character ?!" and another saying, "I just cried for 15 minutes like why are they torturing us."

After all, James Marsden'scharacter, President Cal Bradford, died in the very first episode, but he has been present throughout. Annie plays a very different role than Cal, but it's possible that she will have additional appearances in some form as well. Clearly, many fans would welcome that return after this devastating death.
Gwyneth Paltrow Loses Vintage Earring During First Actor Awards in 26 Years
On Sunday, March 1, the 2026 Actor Awards wrapped at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, delivering plenty of red carpet glamour. One tiny wardrobe mishap, however, stole a surprising amount of attention — and it involved none other than Gwyneth Paltrow.
The 53-year-old Marty Supreme star arrived on the carpet wearing a plunging black lace Givenchy gown and a pair of vintage turquoise clip-on earrings dating back to around 1930. But by the time she took the stage alongside costars Timothée Chalamet, Odessa A'Zion, and Tyler the Creator to present the film's highlight reel, eagle-eyed viewers noticed one of the priceless earrings had gone rogue.

She delivered her remarks without missing a beat, telling the audience that every person involved in the film brought something uniquely their own to the project. And by the end of the night, later photos confirmed the missing 96-year-old earring had made its way back to its rightful place.
But the earring moment was really just a footnote in what was a much bigger story: the fact that Paltrow was there at all. Sunday's ceremony marked her first time attending the awards show — formerly known as the SAG Awards — since 2000, about a year after her Shakespeare in Love Oscar win. That's a 26-year gap.
As she told The Hollywood Reporter in December 2025, her return wasn't exactly driven by a burning desire to perform again. The Goop founder explained that all four of her children had left home, leaving her with what she later described as a transition so jarring “it felt like a kind of divorce.”
That shift, paired with director Josh Safdie reaching out about Marty Supreme, was ultimately what pulled her back in front of the camera for her first film role since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. She later told Variety that the project reminded her of the kinds of “movies we used to make in the ‘90s.”
Despite Paltrow's stunning return, Marty Supreme went home empty-handed on Sunday, with Ryan Coogler's Sinners taking the top Ensemble prize and Michael B. Jordan winning Lead Actor. But with nine Oscar nominations to its name, Marty Supreme — and Paltrow — are far from finished making noise this awards season.
'Harry Potter' Star's Classy Act Toward Alysa Liu Catches Attention
In a heartwarming backstage moment on TODAY, actor Daniel Radcliffe met two-time Winter Olympics gold medalist Alysa Liu, leaving fans awed by his thoughtful gesture.
The 36-year-old Harry Potter star made headlines not just for meeting the 20-year-old figure skater, but for the way he handled her gold medal.
Videos shared by TODAY captured Liu’s amazement as Radcliffe entered the room, greeted her with a hug, a high-five and snapped a few selfies together. Liu even offered Radcliffe the chance to wear her gold medal, but he politely declined.
“It feels like stolen valor,” Radcliffe joked, choosing instead to hold the medal for a photo.

The U.S. Figure Skating account also playfully noted, “Gold snitch catcher 🤝 gold medalist,” comparing Radcliffe’s iconic Harry Potter role to Liu’s Olympic success.

Despite her incredible achievement, Liu remains grounded. She told TODAY, “If I mess up and do a horrible program, I would totally be OK with that, actually. So there's nothing to be nervous about.”
The skater has already returned to the ice in a light, non-intensive way, stating, “Little bits here and there. Not serious training.”
Yet, she is preparing to compete at the 2026 ISU World Championships in Prague later this month, aiming to become the first American woman to repeat as world champion since Michelle Kwan in 2000-2001.
Since the Olympics, Liu has returned to her hometown of Oakland, California, and embraced her newfound fame, gaining over five million Instagram followers. Several murals have been unveiled in her honor.

BAFTA Host Alan Cumming Apologizes for ‘Trauma-Triggering’ Slur Incident
The BAFTAs took place on February 22, and everyone was shocked when the N-word was shouted while Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo of Sinners were on stage to present. The slur was uncensored.
It was later revealed that other words shouted throughout the night were censored. Lindo, 73, said no one apologized to them personally after the offensive moment. Host, Alan Cumming explained later in the ceremony that someone with Tourette’s syndrome was in the audience. Cumming, 61, gave his first statement since that night.

I'm so sorry the Tourette's community has been reminded of the lack of understand and tolerance that abounds regarding their condition."
Tourette Syndrome Campaigner, John Davidson, was in attendance to celebrate the movie I, Swear, based on his life. Robert Aramayo made BAFTA history that night, and won Best Leading Actor for playing him. Davidson reportedly decided to leave in the middle of the award show.

"We were all let down by decisions made to both broadcast slurs and censor free speech," Cumming wrote on the third slide of his Instagram post. Davidson later revealed his other tics that night were edited out unlike the N-word. He finished by congratulating the artists who were overshadowed that night.
The Sinners cast continued their award show run this past weekend. They attended the NAACP Image Awards on Feb. 28. Regina Hall showed support for Jordan, 39, on stage. “I feel like also to just take a moment to the two kings who are in this audience and just send you so much love for your class and that is Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo,” the One Battle After Another star said. The audience gave a long applause in response.
'70s Rock Legend, 80, Announces 2026 Tour Featuring Special Guest
Well over half a century since he first made his musical mark on the world, guitar icon Eric Clapton is still going strong. In fact, the 80-year-old rocker just announced a string of 2026 U.S. tour dates.
As revealed in an official Instagram post, Clapton's upcoming fall jaunt kicks off on Sept. 6 in Detroit and makes stops in Cincinnati, Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul before wrapping up on Sept. 17 in Kansas City.
Clapton and his band (which includes guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, drummer Sonny Emory, bassist Nathan East, keyboardist Chris Stainton, organist Tim Camron and backup singers Katie Kissoon and Sharon White) will be joined by Texas blues guitarist Jimmie Vaughan as an opening act. Tickets go on sale March 6, 10 a.m. local time.
Clapton's latest studio album, Meanwhile (2024) featured eight previously released singles (including collabs with Jeff Beck and Van Morrison), in addition to six new songs.
While there's no word on any new Clapton music on the way, in January, Vaughan told Guitar World that he's "working on my new album."
“I’m always looking forward and trying to figure out what I’m gonna do next. It’s totally exciting," he said.
“I can’t say what it’s gonna be called,” he added. “I’m not gonna tell you! I don’t want it to get out. But I also haven’t made it yet. I’m working on it, and I’m excited and looking forward to doing it.”
If fans are lucky, they just might get a preview of Vaughan's new tunes live on tour with Clapton this fall.

Kennedy Family Member Slams TV Show About Uncle John F. Kennedy Jr.
Jack Schlossberg, a New York congressional candidate and the nephew of the late John F. Kennedy Jr., called out the FX television series Love Story, produced by Ryan Murphy, in a recent interview.
Love Story, a biographical series about the romance between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette before their untimely deaths in an aviation accident in 1999, released early in February. During his appearance on CBS Sunday Morning yesterday, Schlossberg slammed Murphy and the show for being "a grotesque display of someone else’s life," claiming that the show's interpretation of events are inaccurate.
"If you want to know someone who’s never met anyone in my family, knows nothing about us, talk to Ryan Murphy," he said in the interview.

Schlossberg's opinions on the show are consistent to the ones he expressed last summer, in which he shared similar criticism in June of last year and expressed his frustration that the Kennedy family was seemingly not consulted during the production of the series.
Schlossberg also accused Murphy and FX of profiting off of the Kennedy tragedy, and called on the producer to donate the profits from the show to a philanthropic cause in line with his uncle's values. "Maybe he would donate some of that money to the JFK Library to help keep President Kennedy’s memory alive, but he’s not. He’s making money. This is not a documentary," he said.
He warned viewers of the show to keep in mind that everything they see while watching Love Story is "a capital F, for 'fiction.'"
So far, Love Story has six of the nine scheduled episodes released and sits on a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Starring Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon, the series has received mixed reviews from critics across different publications. The final episode is set to premiere on March 26 on Hulu and Disney Plus.

‘80s Icon Gets Nostalgic About Her Stardom Over 30 Years Ago
Brooke Shields is looking back on her legendary fame in a nostalgic and playful way.
Considered one of the most memorable faces in the '80s, The Blue Lagoon actress carried her popularity into the '90s, seamlessly transitioning from being a teen star to an established actress.
At the time, she made her Broadway debut in Grease, where she played Betty Rizzo and landed her most iconic '90s project, the sitcomSuddenly Susan, in which she starred as magazine columnist Susan Keane, earning her two Golden Globe nominations.
With a nod to the past, Shields offered a lighthearted glimpse into her early career.
In an Instagram post, the award-winning actress joined the "Mom, what were you like in the '90s" trend, where users share throwback photos or videos from their youth, long before pop culture, social media and smartphones had shaped the new generation.

While the public first saw her as a child star in the legendary movie with Christopher Atkins, Shields embraced her comedic side through the TV series and films in which she appeared. This includes an iconic guest appearance in Friends, where she played Joey Tribbiani's crazy stalker and a lead role in the 1993 comedy horror filmFreaked.
However, starting young in the industry, Shields also experienced the negative side of Hollywood and made a documentary about it.
Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, a two-part documentary, focuses on her experiences as a sexualized child star and her journey to claiming her identity and independence.

This 1967 'Star Trek' Episode Was Leonard Nimoy's Favorite: You'll Never Guess Why
Picking the best Star Trekepisode is like engaging the Kobayashi Maru: you really can't win because they're all good. Do you pick "The City on the Edge of Forever" or "The Enemy Within, written by sci-fi legends Harlan Ellison and Richard Matheson, respectively? Do you pick "Mirror, Mirror," which gave sci-fi the "evil twin with a beard" trope, or "The Naked Time," which featured a shirtless George Takei?
If you'reLeonard Nimoy, the choice is rather…logical. For the late actor who donned the pointed Vulcan ears to bring Mr. Spock to life on Star Trek (dubbed Star Trek: The Original Series, or TOS), there were a few episodes that stood out above the rest. One in particular was close to his heart: "This Side of Paradise."
(Slight spoilers ahead) Airing on March 2, 1967, "This Side of Paradise" sees Captain Kirk (William Shatner), Mr. Spock (Nimoy) and Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy (DeForest Kelley) transporting down to a planet expected to find a dead colony, or to discover one thriving—and under the influence of a strange plant. When exposed to the plant, Mr. Spock sheds his cold, calculating demeanor.
"This is a very special episode for me, for obvious reasons," wrote Nimoy in his biography, I Am Not Spock (per H&I), "and particularly because, where Spock was so totally adult in most of his attitudes and reactions throughout the series, this episode provided a chance to expose the complete child within."
"We saw him loving, picnicking, romping, and literally swinging playfully in the trees. It was a total exposure of internal Spock that so many people have always suspected was there," added Nimoy.
In June 2025, Leonard’s son, Adam Nimoy, shared a promotional photo from the episode. “One of my favorite lines is when Spock is asked about his experience on [the planet]: ‘I have little to say about it, captain. Except that for the first time in my life, I was happy.’”

He also called "The Menagerie" a sample of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry "working at his best," while "Amok Time" had a "lovely, poetic script by Theodore Sturgeon" that was "great fun," because it gave Nimoy a chance to "explore the possibilities of seeing Mr. Spock in his own culture among his peers."
Many other Star Trek fans share Nimoy's love for "This Side of Paradise." The AV Clubgave the episode an A, while Den of Geek said it's an essential episode to see Star Trek's "best character studies and depictions of comradeship."

Evil Dead's Bruce Campbell Reveals Cancer Diagnosis: 'I Am a Tough Old Son of a B---h'
Bruce Campbell has been diagnosed with cancer.
The Evil Dead actor, 67, informed fans of the health update via Instagram on Monday, Mar. 2.
"Hi folks, these days, when someone is having a health issue, it's referred to as an 'opportunity,' so let's go with that—I'm having one of those," Campbell began. "It's also called a type of cancer that's 'treatable' not 'curable.' I apologize if that's a shock—it was to me too."
"The good news is, I'm not gonna go into any more detail. I'm posting this, because professionally, a few things will have to change—appearances and cons and work in general need to take back seat to treatment," he continued. "My plan is to get as well as I possibly can over the summer so that I can tour with my new movie Ernie & Emma this fall."
"There are several cons this year summer that I have to cancel. Big regrets on my part. Treatment needs and professional obligations don't always go hand-in-hand," he added. "That's about it. I'm not trying enlist sympathy—or advice— I just want to get ahead of this information in case false information gets out (which it will)."
Campbell concluded, "Fear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch and I have great support, so I expect to be around a while. As always, you're the greatest fans in the world and I hope to see you soon!"
No further information was provided on the type of cancer Campbell has.
Ernie & Emma is a dark romantic comedy film written, directed by, and starring Campbell as a widowed pear salesman, Ernie Tyler, who travels to scatter his wife Emma's (voice of Robin McAlpine) ashes.
The movie premiered on Feb. 14 in Oregon, where it was filmed, and a wider release is expected in September.
Campbell is best known for his role as Ash Williams in the Evil Dead series. His other film credits include Crimewave, Maniac Cop, Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat, and Bubba Ho-Tep.
Darin Brooks and Kelly Kruger Call It Quits After a Decade of Marriage
Former The Bold and the Beautiful star Darin Brooks and his wife of a decade, The Young and the Restless alum Kelly Kruger, have called it quits. The pair provided a statement to TV Insider indicating, "We're committed to coparenting our two children and remaining friends."

As TV Insider noted, despite their soap backgrounds, Kruger and Brooks didn't meet on either The Young and the Restless or The Bold and the Beautiful. They actually met in 2010 while filming the short-lived television series Blue Mountain Slate.
Brooks and Kruger got engaged while filming The Bold and the Beautiful in Paris in June 2014 and they wed in Hawaii in March 2016. The pair welcomed their first daughter, Everleigh Jolie, in September 2019. Their second daughter, Gemma Wynter, was born in January 2022.

They also interview fellow 1990s stars, such as Jonathan Lipnicki.The 44-year-old also hosted "Danielle with the Stars" where she interviewed fellow DWTS contestants and the show's pros while the show was airing.
Hart, also known for her role as Clarissa in Clarissa Explains It All, has continued to act and recently starred in a Netflix holiday film alongside Alicia Silverstone.

Julianne Hough Explains Her Decision To Return to the Big Screen After 7-Year Hiatus
It's been over seven years since Julianne Hough appeared on the big screen but after her hiatus, she's now making a return in her new film The Bride!
As for why the Dancing With the Stars host, 37, decided to return to acting, she says it all had to do with the film. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hough reflected on why she decided to end her acting hiatus.
"You know, I get to do the thing that I love which, first and foremost, is dancing. It's acting, it's singing," Hough explained. "This is not a musical but my character specifically is a role that people go...and escape and have that fantasy world of what's possible."
She continued, "That Golden Age of Hollywood is where I was inspired my whole life and my whole career so it just felt really natural."
Hough added that the message of the film spoke to her, noting that she wasn't trying to be "political," but she believes it's a "great idea to right now that we should be rebellious and band together."
The Bride! takes place in 1930s Chicago and follows groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious as she brings a murdered young woman back to life to become a companion for Frankenstein's monster.
The film also stars Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale, Jake Gyllenhaal and Penélope Cruz, among numerous other iconic actors. It was directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal.
"This was truly iconic in so many ways and the fact that I got to be a part of Maggie's vision—this message of feminism through empowerment and rock and roll punk," Hough previously told Deadline. "I just think it's so incredible, and she's just such an amazing director."

Quest chips are a snack food that launched more than a decade ago. These chips are high in protein, with most bags containing between 18 and 20 grams of the macronutrient. They're also low-carb, making them a good choice for people on a keto diet or who just want to keep tabs on their carb count.
Quest has expanded its flavors over time and now offers 13 different options. The varieties range from classics, like BBQ and Sour Cream & Onion, to options that have a little more going on, like Mexican Street Corn and Loaded Taco.

Are Quest Chips Healthy?Before we get to the tasting, let's talk about nutrition. A high-protein, low-carb snack sounds healthy, but the chip format makes it fair to wonder if this is actually supporting your goals. "They can have their place in a healthy diet, but I wouldn't say that they're necessarily a health food," Jessica Cording, RD, a nutritionist and the author of The Little Book of Game-Changers, tells Parade.
While Quest chips provide protein, "they are a more processed food, so you're still looking at a lot of sodium, texturing agents and emulsifiers," Cording continues. She says that this doesn't make the chips inherently bad, but it doesn't put them on par with whole foods.
The protein in Quest chips still "counts" toward your daily protein goals, per Cording. "Still, it's better to get most of your protein from whole food sources," she explains. "You're going to get a lot more nutritional bang for your buck with the stuff that exists in nature."
Ultimately, if you like a product like Quest chips, Cording says you're fine to keep on having them. "I just wouldn't make it your go-to protein source," she says.

To test the Quest chips, I gathered all 13 flavors. Along with a few family members and friends, I sampled them in a row, and then one at a time to see how they compared to each other and how they tasted on their own. I also took careful note of which chip flavors disappeared the fastest.
Each chip was rated on elements like texture, flavor, appearance and general craveability. While I had a few children try these, I weighed the feedback from adults more heavily because they're the primary audience for Quest chips.

13 Quest Chips, Ranked Worst To BestIf you've never had Quest chips, I recommend giving them a try. Every flavor had something impressive about it, whether it was the spot-on flavor or an excellent chip-to-flavoring ratio. Still, some chips had a wow factor that was undeniable. Here's what I discovered when I snacked my way through the entire line.

Something had to land at the bottom of the pile, and unfortunately, that was Buffalo Ranch. To be fair, this is a tough flavor combination to pull off in chip form. The balance seemed a little off, with more ranch than buffalo hot sauce. The overall flavor also tasted a little fake. If you're a fan of buffalo-ranch flavoring, you might still dig this. But just know that it's more ranch with a hint of buffalo hot sauce.

To Quest's credit, this tastes exactly like a beef taco in a hard corn shell, which immediately made these stand out. There's a strong meat and corn flavor, which is really interesting—but also a little weird. This flavor was a big hit with the kids, though.

Like the Loaded Taco flavor, Quest's Pizza flavor tastes like you're diving into a slice of pizza—just crunchy. The exact flavor was impressive, but the combination of pizza with a corn chip was a little unusual and just simply not my favorite. Fellow taste-testers agreed that it tasted like pizza, but wasn't something any of us wanted to eat a lot of.

There's a lot of flavor coming at you with Quest's new Mexican Street Corn option. There is a strong corn, lime and onion flavor with a blend of spices that makes this truly taste like the street snack. This was a smart take on using the corn chip's natural flavor, but definitely isn't for everyone—it's a lot of corn flavor, after all.

If you dig strong flavors, you'll appreciate Quest's Chili Lime. It throws a lot of everything your way: spiciness, lots of lime and plenty of corn taste. The lime flavor is undeniable and really, really strong. If you're not into that tangy zip, you'll want to take a pass.

There's a wide range of ranch flavors out there, and some are stronger than others. If you're into, say, Cool Ranch Doritos, you'll find that Quest's Ranch chips are much milder. The ranch flavor is there, but it's subtle. That subtlety created a versatile chip that delivers some flavor but can work with a lot of different things. If you're all in with ranch flavor, this probably won't be enough for you. But if you just want a hint of ranch, it's a solid option.

The Spicy Sweet Chili chip has a corn base with plenty of flavor. It's definitely sweet, but not overly spicy—it's just a little hot. The flavor is also a little hard to put your finger on. I confused this with the BBQ chips at first, given how similar they look and taste. If you're into a BBQ flavor with extra kick, it's worth a try.

Like ranch, there's a wide range of flavors that fall under the "BBQ" label. But Quest's BBQ chips land squarely in the middle of this flavor profile. The sweet and smoky flavor is there, but it's not too overwhelming or too subtle. My only (very minor) complaint is that it's a little heavy on the smokiness. Otherwise, this is a solid choice for snacking.

The nuclear color of these chips is hilarious, and it definitely delivers. Quest's Hot & Spicy Tortilla Style chips are the spiciest option of the group. You're hit with heat with the first taste, and the chip keeps getting spicier before burning out. The taste is delicious and hot, and it's just plain fun to eat. Your stomach might burn if you eat a lot of these, but at least you'll have a good time beforehand.

You can skip the step of dipping chips into salsa with this flavor. It tastes exactly like salsa verde. Quest's Salsa Verde flavor nails the green dip's jalapeño taste while delivering a little heat. It's spicy, but not too spicy, creating a chip you can eat a lot of.

I laughed a little at this chip's greenish tinge, which is a little weird, but the taste is delicious. It's more subtle than some other Sour Cream & Onion flavors, but that's not a bad thing. You can taste both the creaminess and the onion, without feeling overwhelmed by either. The mild flavor makes this one a solid choice for dips or just diving into a bag.

It would be hard to tell the difference in a blind taste test between Quest's Nacho Cheese chips and Doritos Nacho Cheese. These chips taste exactly like the neon orange corn chips you know and love, with possibly slightly better flavor distribution. They're crunchy and incredibly tasty. These chips were a favorite with nearly every taste tester.

This one surprised all of us. Quest's Cheddar & Sour Cream flavor seems like it would blend in, but it was a total star in the mix of already tasty options. Instead, it's subtle enough for all-day grazing or just a solid option when you want something salty. This also pairs great with dips, making for an impressively versatile chip.

Major Update in Kiefer Sutherland Case as New Evidence Is Reviewed
New details have emerged in the arrest of Kiefer Sutherland following an altercation with a ride share driver in January.
According to TMZ, Sutherland's case is being closely examined by authorities as more information comes to light.
In fact, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office told the outlet that they're reviewing newly submitted evidence and the matter is under review. No charges have been filed as of now.
According to NBC4 Los Angeles, who broke the story of Sutherland's arrest, officers responded to a radio call just after midnight on Jan. 12 about an alleged assault involving a ride share driver near Hollywood.
“The investigation determined that the suspect, later identified as Kiefer Sutherland, entered a rideshare vehicle, physically assaulted the driver (the victim), and made criminal threats toward the victim,” said Los Angeles Police Officer Kevin Terzes in an email to NBC News.
The 59-year-old actor was arrested on suspicion of felony criminal threats. No injuries requiring medical treatment were reported. Online jail records indicate Sutherland was released from custody on a $50,000 bond that same day.
Back in January, TMZ reported that Sutherland told police he was having dinner with a friend on the night of Jan. 11. Late in the evening, Sutherland called an Uber Black, and when the car arrived, the actor said he jumped in and started heading home.
For a reason that has not been disclosed, Sutherland allegedly asked the driver to pull over several times, to which to driver refused.
According to the Uber driver, the actor allegedly threatened to kill him if he did not pull over. The driver, who was the one to call 911, says Sutherland assaulted him with his hands.
The publication also claims, according to the law enforcement sources they spoke to, that the altercation could’ve been triggered by a language barrier. The Uber driver, who spoke either Russian or Armenian, reportedly requested a translator when the Los Angeles Police Department arrived on scene.
Sutherland is best known for winning both an Emmy and Golden Globe award for his role as Jack Bauer in the series 24, which ran from 2001-2010. His other TV and film credits include Designated Survivor, Stand by Me, The Lost Boys, Flatliners and A Few Good Men.
Sutherland, the son of late actor Donald Sutherland, has one daughter Sarah Sutherland with his first wife Camelia Kath. He’s been engaged to model and actress Cindy Vela since 2017.
Philip and Gabi Hit Major Milestone on 'Days of Our Lives'
One of Days of Our Lives newest couples is set to hit a major relationship milestone, according to March spoilers reported by SWOON.
In a report for SWOON, soap journalist Stephanie Sloane revealed that Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) will finally say “I love you” to each other for the very first time.
Gabi and Philip’s relationship began as part of a business scheme when she worked with Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) to gather information on Philip during the DiMera Enterprises and Titan Industries merger. After reporting back to Tony, Gabi was ultimately double-crossed and left without an ally. Since then, however, Gabi and Philip have grown closer, leading to the upcoming declaration of love. Philip however does not know the truth about Gabi’s involvement with Tony.
On social media fans have been showing their support for the pairing.
One user on X recently wrote, “I have never liked a romantic relationship of Philip’s on #Days. Never. I am charmed by Philip/Gabi. @CherieAJimenez and JPL are great together!”

Daniel Radcliffe's latest project proves once again that he's got serious comedic chops.
It also places the Harry Potter alum, 36, in the unlikely world of American football, a realm his standout character in The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins is "not really interested in" — as Radcliffe, 36, revealed in a new interview.
On that note, the Emmy nominee also mentioned his unlikely hobby tied to the professional sport, whose Super Bowl was held nearly a month ago.
"I’m a big Fantasy Football person, so Monday morning is normally consoling myself with how badly Sunday has gone," Radcliffe told The Wall Street Journal in an article published Monday, March 2. "My character in the show is English and not interested in American football, so I’m kind of having to play dumb. But in reality, I would love it if the show does well and we can get some real football players to come in over the next couple of years. The Super Bowl [was] on NBC this year. They were like, 'Do you want to go to the Super Bowl to do a bit of promo and then watch the game?' I was very excited."
Speaking of athletics, Radcliffe also opened up about his current status as a glorified gym rat.
"I do weights, circuit training, cardio. I don’t look like a person who would be a fitness freak, but I’m pretty intense about it," he told WSJ. "I feel like I’m a cliché of a former alcoholic or anyone who had any kind of addictive personality and then switched that addiction to being about the gym."
In an interview with Rolling Stone last month, meanwhile, Radcliffe confirmed that he is indeed "at peace" with his fanbase always knowing him as "the boy who lived."
"I don’t need people to forget that I did that in order to enjoy stuff I’m doing now," he told the magazine regarding Harry Potter. "In fact, it often leads people to seek me out in other things."

Of course, before you head to the grocery store to re-up on your favorite, you might want to pay attention to the latest recall affecting bottles of the beloved condiment nationwide. Georgia-based honey producer Savannah Bee Company recently issued a nationwide recall of its Honey BBQ Sauce - Mustard due to undeclared wheat and soy allergens.

Savannah Bee Company Issues Nationwide Recall for Honey BBQ Sauce due to Undeclared AllergensThe mishap was first discovered by the company when a customer notified the brand that bottles of Honey BBQ Sauce - Sweet were mislabeled with a Honey BBQ Sauce - Mustard label. After further investigation, the company discovered that the labels failed to include the allergens wheat and soy in the ingredient statement that is contained in the Honey BBQ Sauce - Sweet.
Glass bottles of the sauce were shipped nationwide to distribution centers, retail stores, and consumers between July 30, 2025, and Feb. 26, 2026. Each bottle has an orange Honey BBQ Sauce - Mustard Label with the lot number and best before date etched on the neck of the bottle. Bottles can be identified by using the batch code B1L1360525. Wheat and soy are both among the big nine food allergens, so the omission of those two items from the ingredient list makes this not only a pretty big snafu, but also a life-threatening one.

Luckily, no illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported so far, but if you happen to have purchased any of the affected product, it's highly recommended that you dispose of it immediately.
