Wendi McLendon-Covey Teases ‘Bridesmaids’ Sequel 'Could Happen'

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 3:12pm

Could another Bridesmaids be on the horizon? "It's in the realm of what is possible," Wendi McLendon-Covey recently teased, only deepening the rumored possibility that the breakout 2011 comedy could see a sequel.

During an appearance on Jesse Tyler Ferguson'sDinner's On Me Podcast, McLendon-Covey said a Bridesmaids 2 could happen—maybe. "I have no information," she immediately said when Ferguson asked her to spill. But added that "it could happen."

Perhaps Ferguson should invite Kristen Wiig on his podcast next to get to the bottom of whether a Bridesmaids sequel is truly a possibility.

Last year, director Paul Feig said it wouldn’t be up to him if a sequel gets made, adding that not every film necessarily needs a continuation of its story. "That'd be up to Kristen. I don't know," Feig told Collider. "Call me crazy, I think some movies just are better off being one-offs. It doesn't mean it couldn't be great."

Unfortunately, Wiig all but squashed any dream of a Bridesmaids sequel during the 2024 press tour for Palm Royale. “It’s never been a conversation,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “That story had an end, and it’s so beloved to me for 10 million reasons, and I think it’s OK to just have it exist in the world as it is.”

Most recently, Wiig recounted the infamous food poisoning scene, revealing that it wasn't originally in the script. “That was a sequence that came later in the writing process that we sort of embraced and like, OK, we’ll write our version of this type of thing,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “We just kind of made it our own. We don’t want to see any vomit [but] you can find a way to do your version of it.”

She added, “It was so fun to do that scene and to see … everyone’s version of not feeling well and trying to hide it. It was fun to watch the ladies do their thing."

Kaley Cuoco Reveals the 'Charmed' Star Who Wasn't So Welcoming

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 3:08pm

Kaley Cuoco doesn't recall receiving the warmest welcome from one particular actress when she joined Charmed as Billie Jenkins in the show's eighth season in 2006.

During a Feb. 9 appearance on Dax Shepard'sArmchair Expert podcast, Cuoco opened up about how intimidating it felt stepping onto the set of the fantasy drama for its final season, especially since the leading ladies (Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and Rose McGowan) were like family.

“You know when you do so many things, and you just forget about terrible moments? Imagine this: I’ve never met anyone, it's their gallery shoot (when the cast takes promotional photos together) … I’m the new girl," she began.

"I've never met anyone, I'm joining their family photo. And I'm 21, I'm the hottest I've ever been," she continued.

Cuoco shared that despite being the "new girl" on set, she was surprised by the friendly welcome from Milano, which she shared she'd "never forget."

"It’s on their lunch break. They’re all in the corners eating. I walk in, Alyssa Milano sees me, and — I will always tell this story about her — she got up, ran over to me, and welcomed me the show, gave me the biggest hug in the world, so happy, so kind. I will never forget that," she told the hosts.

However, Cuoco didn't get the same enthusiasm from McGowan. "Rose, maybe not so happy," she admitted. "I still don’t know if she likes me. I don’t know," she added.

"But Alyssa was amazing. I was terrified,” she shared. “It’s a weird thing coming into a show with them in year eight, and I only did the one season.”

Despite not feeling much warmth from McGowan, Cuoco shared that Milano's kind gesture stuck with her, especially later on when she was working on The Big Bang Theory.

“Anyone that came in, I was very aware of, like, this must be so weird for you. So I always remembered that from Alyssa to this day. I was like that before, but still, you got to go the extra mile in a situation like that," Cuoco said.

According to Chron, McGowan replaced Shannon Doherty ahead of Season 4, after rumors claimed she clashed with Milano.

Nancy Guthrie Missing: Retired FBI Agent Reveals the ‘Best Chance’ of Solving the Case

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 3:04pm

Nancy Guthrie has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1, and the Pima County Sheriff's Department along with the FBI have been working diligently to find her—and the person or person responsible for her disappearance.

There haven't been any breaks in the case or major updates in recent days, which has many people wondering if the case has gone cold. Parade interviewed retired FBI special agent Greg Rogers, who was able to give us some insight based on his experience. For starters, Rogers doesn't believe that the case has gone cold. He does believe, however, that the case is more than likely going to be solved with help from someone outside of law enforcement.

"I am confident there is a good amount of familial research underway concerning the DNA samples found in the residence. There won't be any press releases concerning that if and until a potential suspect is identified," Rogers says.

"Sadly, the best chance that this case gets resolved is a tip," he continues. "That is not an unreasonable hope. We have solved numerous cases from tips based on rewards. Often, all it takes is for one conspirator to get upset or to decide that he/she wants out of the mess."

The Pima County Sheriff's Department and the FBI have said they've received thousands of tips after releasing images and videos of an armed individual outside of Guthrie's home on the night she went missing. Additional tips also came in after the Guthrie family offered a $1 million reward.

According to Rogers, something will eventually produce a lead that will give authorities what they need to identify a suspect—and hopefully bring Nancy Guthrie home.

2000s TV Icons, Who Starred in ‘Best American Sitcom of All Time,’ Reunite

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 2:59pm

The starring ladies of the iconic 2000s sitcomThe Office reunited on Sunday at the 2026 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, thrilling longtime fans of the show.

The ladies of Dunder Mifflin—Angela Kinsey, Jenna Fischer, Mindy Kaling and Ellie Kemper—were chosen to present the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy SeriesThe reunion marks their first major public appearance together since December 2024, when the group posted photos of a holiday dinner party to Instagram.

Since the show's premiere back in 2005, the staring ladies grew a close bond as series regulars. Following the show's conclusion in 2013, the women maintained their strong friendship; Fischer and Kinsey going on to host the Office Ladies podcast and Kaling and Kemper keeping in touch as well.

The reunion was reportedly organized by Kaling. Executive producer Mark Bracco told Variety that Kaling took the reins in making the appearance a reality.

“Mindy Kaling sort of became a pseudo talent booker for our show,” Bracco said. “We had reached out to her about being a presenter, and she came back with the idea of, ‘what if I did a reunion with all the women of The Office,‘ and we’re like, ‘yeah!’ Within like an hour, she had texted all of them, and she basically booked them all for us. So she had texted with Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey and Ellie Kemper, and I’m not kidding, like, within 90 minutes, they were all booked, and presenting on the show.”

During the segment, the women delivered a monologue reflecting on the changing television landscape. They joked about the "old days" of 22-episode seasons, commenting on the grueling show schedules while making light of the demands of the industry.

"We are women that survived 22-episode seasons," the ladies said. "There were no short orders. You didn't plan a season around a pregnancy, you just gave birth on camera and named a baby after a grip."

Following the brief reunion, fans took to Kemper's Instagram to share their enthusiasm.

Costco's Stylish New 3-Tier Storage Shelf Is So 'Perfect,' Shoppers Are Buying Multiples

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 2:55pm

The modern home is often a battlefield between functionality and aesthetics. We find ourselves surrounded by synthetic materials—plastics, laminates, and cold metals—that serve a purpose but often leave our living spaces feeling sterile and uninspired. Interior designers have long maintained that the most effective way to breathe life back into a room is to introduce organic textures. Natural materials possess a unique ability to ground a space, providing a sense of warmth and permanence that mass-produced, industrial items simply cannot replicate.

Choosing the right organizational elements is more than just tidying up; it is an opportunity to curate the atmosphere of your sanctuary. When we prioritize materials that reflect the beauty of the outdoors, we create an environment that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. Whether you are looking to revamp a cluttered entryway or add a touch of elegance to a minimalist living room, the focus should always be on quality craftsmanship and structural integrity. A well-placed piece of furniture shouldn't just hold your belongings; it should tell a story of style and durability.

Khloe Kardashian's Ex's New Netflix Tell-All Reveals a Mighty Big Coverup

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 2:54pm

Whether you're a Keeping Up With the Kardashians fan or a hater, it was pretty hard to escape the headline stories a decade ago about the rise and fall of Khloe Kardashian's ex-husband, former professional basketball player Lamar Odom. Later this month, Netflix is releasing Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom. Until now, it seems, none of us knew how mighty the former NBA star's rise and fall truly were.

"I had twelve strokes and six heart attacks," Odom recounts in the new trailer for the Netflix special about the night he famously overdosed. "That's not no average sh*t," he says.

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, then a star on the Los Angeles Lakers, got swept up in a highly public whirlwind romance in 2009. They met and married within a month of meeting each other. Their wedding even aired on Khloe's family reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The marriage wouldn't last. There were swirling rumors about Odom's ongoing substance use and a highly publicized DUI arrest. The couple separated in 2013, but they didn't officially divorce until 2016, the year after Odom overdosed at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada.

The new trailer for Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom outlines a lot of what we knew. But what's being revealed is far more scary and heartbreaking than we could imagine.

In the clip, Kardsashian says, "He would escape rehab and go on a drug bender and no one could find him."

Odom recalls being out all night partying and the first time he tried cocaine. "I didn't want to stop," he says.

"I just felt such a responsibility to cover this up and protect him," explains Kardashian.

And that she did. Although they were separated at the time, Khloe and Lamar remained legally married when the Odom overdosed. At the time, Kardashian also remained a devoted friend and support to Odom after he almost died and blew up his basketball career.

Lamar Odom Khloe Kardashian, and more appear in the Netflix special that revisits the time period that led up to Odom's near-death experience and beyond. Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom premieres on Netflix, Tuesday, March 31.

‘Belle de Jour’ Star Catherine Deneuve, 82, Stuns at the Louvre Almost 60 Years After the Film Came Out

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 2:49pm

Catherine Deneuve is one of the most famous French actresses out there, and she's gotten more stunning with each year that passes.

Deneuve, 82, rose to stardom as Geneviève Emery in the romantic film musical The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. A veteran of endless French films, she's most often associated with her role in Luis Buñuel's 1967 psychological erotic drama Belle de Jour. With a career spanning 70 years, Deneuve is a legend of the cinema, no matter what country she's in.

The legendary French beauty attended the Grand Dîner du Louvre at Musee du Louvre this week in Paris, and looked every bit the classy movie star she is. With her dark blonde hair tied back into a half-updo, Deneuve is aging with grace and dazzling the crowds.

What's Catherine Deneuve's View on Aging?

The French beauty has spoken about the difference between aging in the spotlight in France and America. In a 2016 interview with Variety, Deneuve shared that she believes America is much more obsessed with youth than her home country.

"Yes, overall, I think there are more roles for women of a certain age in France than in the U.S. Our culture is not as youth-centric. But things are changing," she added. "The question is, for how long?"

Deneuve Suffered a Stroke in 2019

In 2019, Deneuve was hospitalized after suffering a stroke, her family confirmed to Agence France-Presse. However, they said it was a “very limited stroke which is reversible.”

“Happily, she has no loss of motor function, although she will of course have to rest for a while,” the statement added.

In the wake of the incident, Deneuve seemed to come back stronger than ever. This past summer, she was honored at the Taormina Film Festival in Sicily with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

For a quick flashback at one of the beauty's most legendary screen moments, here's the trailer for The Umbrellas of Cherbourg:

What's Next for Catherine Deneuve?

Last week, Deadline reported that Deneuve has co-authored a book dedicated to Marilyn Monroe. Teaming up with collector Sébastien Cauchon, “Marilyn chérie” will feature a personal look at photographs of Monroe, including set photos, costume fittings, portraits by leading photographers, press images, and amateur shots, according to the piece. The book will be released in May, consciously set to come out just in time for Monroe's 100th birthday.

'70s Soft Rock Icon, Considered One of the Greatest Vocalists of All Time, Remembered on What Would've Been Her 76th Birthday

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 2:43pm

If the Carpenters' Karen Carpenter were still alive, she would have just celebrated her birthday on March 2.

The brother of the '70s soft rock icon, Richard Carpenter, posted a loving tribute to her on Instagram, reminding the world that his sister was not only special but irreplaceable.

"Today, the second of March, 2026, would have been my late sister’s 76th birthday," he began, before recalling her magnificent singing voice.

"Karen’s marvelous, timeless alto, was perfect, truly perfect, and able to interpret with ease from the heart," he wrote. "Any type of popular song, whether it be 1937’s “I Can Dream, Can’t I?” to 1961’s “Please Mr. Postman,” all the while appealing to millions of listeners around the world and to this day."

"I realize one should never say “never,” but there will *never* be another Karen," he added, who is widely considered one of the best vocalists of her era.

View this post on Instagram

Many fans agreed wholeheartedly with Richard's words.

"The MOST perfect voice ever to grace an album," commented one person, "So much of my childhood included the music of the Carpenters."

"Such a pure timeless voice," wrote another. "Frozen in time, cherished and missed, never forgotten. Happy heavenly birthday."

Karen died on Feb. 4, 1973, at just 32. Despite her youth, she'd already done more in her musical career than many who were far older. Although they didn't release any music during their tenure, she signed her first record contract at 16 with RCA Records. A few years later, she and Richard signed with A&M Records and began releasing music as the Carpenters. The label's owner, Herb Alpert, was impressed with Karen upon hearing their demo tape.

"Karen's voice reminded me of Patti Page, and like her voice, just had a presence to it," Halpert said during an appearance on Later With Bob Costas. "It felt like her voice was just sitting on your lap, and I just knew it was just a matter of time before we could find the right song. And here again, it was Burt Bacharach and Hal David that provided that with 'Close to You."

"Close to You" quickly traveled up the charts, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 on the 1970s Billboard Year-End Hot 100. The band also won their first Grammy award, for Best Contemporary Performance by a Duo, Group, or Chorus. Over the next decade, the band had numerous hits, including "Top of the World," "Please Mr. Postman," and "Only Yesterday."

Goldfish’s Subtly Sweet Flavor Returns for a Second Year

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 2:37pm

Goldfish fans, if you summoned the return of its Harry Potter-inspired crackers, your charm worked!

That's right, the Goldfish Butterbeer Graham Crackers are making a comeback this year! In a recent announcement shared with Parade, the brand confirmed that its "standout" collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products would return nationwide for a limited time, suggesting the decision was made in response to fan demand.

“After seeing the incredible fan response to last year’s launch, bringing back Goldfish Butterbeer Flavored Grahams was an easy decision,” Mike Fanelli, senior director at Goldfish, explained in a statement. “We saw so much excitement for this item and knew we had to give Harry Potter fans and snack lovers another delicious opportunity to experience the wonder of Butterbeer in true Goldfish style.”

Goldfish Butterbeer Grahams Return for a Limited Time

For those who missed it the first time, the company said its returning Goldfish flavor is inspired by the iconic drink of the wizarding world and delivers a taste that "will make fans feel like they have been transported to the village of Hogsmeade."

Goldfish Butterbeer Grahams, like many other flavors of the popular snack, is made with 8 grams of whole grain per serving and combines the sweet and crunchy flavors of Goldfish Grahams with the rich, creamy and butterscotch flavors found in the famous beverage. It's available in standard, 6.1-ounce packages.

Goldfish

The limited-edition variety quickly became a fan-favorite when it launched last year, earning 4.4 stars from Target shoppers.

One reviewer called the flavor "tasty and toasty," highlighting the subtleness of the butterscotch.

Another suggested it was a pretty magical snack, admitting they did not expect to like the flavor as much as they did, and hopes the brand will one day consider making the variety part of its permanent lineup.

Other food editors also agree that the Butterscotch flavoring is rather delicate and some say it actually smells more like Butterbeer than it tastes (which some would probably argue is better than being overwhelming).

According to the brand, the flavor is coming back just in time for the return of Butterbeer season at Universal Theme Parks (which runs from March through the end of May) and ahead of the official 25th anniversary of the first film, Harry Potterand the Sorcerer’s Stone (which first premiered in November 2001).

The returning favorite is expected to be available nationwide now via Amazon, Target and Walmart, as well as at local grocery chains and stores that regularly stock other Pepperidge Farm and Goldfish products, for a suggested retail price of $3.69.

Fire Country fans are convinced that CBS is bringing back an OG character in the second half of Season 4.

After a very long 10-week hiatus, Fire Country is back, and it did not disappoint with a jam-packed return. The episode saw OG character Luke (Michael Trucco) back in the mix as he dealt with the fallout of the fire, where Manny (Kevin Alejandro) made a lot of bad decisions.

That’s just a small fraction of the drama coming up as the rest of the season plays out. CBS released a promo for Fire Country Season 4, shared on the show’s Instagram account, and now fans are certain a fan favorite is coming back.

Several fans are sure they saw Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila) in the footage. Gabriela was one of two major characters who exited Fire Country in the Season 4 premiere when she opted to take a new job and leave Edgewater.

One fan declared, “I thought I saw her too!!” “I hope she does come back Not the same with out her Love the chemistry between Gabriella and bode ❤️🔥🔥❤️,” insisted a fan.

However, not all fans are convinced that Gabriela was in the promo footage. “I don’t where y’all saw Gabe at but I didn’t see her,” expressed one fan.

In the video, there was a woman that Bode (Max Thieriot) was talking to, who seems to be where the confusion is among fans. While many are convinced the woman was Gabriela since it’s a very quick moment, others are certain it’s not the beloved character.

There has been no word yet on whether Gabriela will return during Season 4. As Parade reported, Fire Country creator and showrunner executive producer Tia Napolitano teased “never say never” regarding whether Gabriela would be back in the mix this season.

It looks like Fire Country fans will have to keep watching to see if Gabriela ends up in Edgewater again.

Fire Country airs Fridays at 9/8c on CBS.

Walmart's 'Beautiful' $80 17-Shelf LED Bookcase Is a 'Stunning Statement Piece'

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 2:30pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Organizing your home can be a challenge when you don't have space on your side. Even a little bit of extra room can make all the difference by creating a new home for items that are otherwise scattered all over the place. For books, games, and even small pieces of decor, a stylish bookcase can fill the gap nicely.

While many structures fall short because they don't offer enough useful shelf space, the Casacomoda LED Triple Bookcase is the precise opposite. Featuring three distinct sections and five tiers, the uniquely designed piece is illuminated by built-in LED lights that add a special finishing touch to the piece. Normally $135 at Walmart, it's on sale in black during a limited-time flash deal for just $80.

The big feature that sets this innovative bookcase apart from others is that it's packed with shelf space — 17 shelves, to be precise. It exudes modern vibes, working overtime as a piece of functional art that adds an intriguing visual element to your room. Traditional bookshelves flank a zigzag "tree" bookshelf in the center to create an interesting focal point that catches the eye even more thanks to the brilliant lighting.

With an open frame, it has an airy and minimalist quality that makes it a nice addition to a contemporary or transitional home. The clean lines and sturdy metal lend it a bit of an industrial feel, but it's still warm enough to give your room a little glow. Because of the alternating shelf shapes, it's perfect for holding assorted items, making it a thoughtful addition to a living room, home office, or bedroom.

You might use it to line up or stack books, but you can just as easily treat it as a display for small statues, houseplants, storage baskets, or little sculptures. Each shelf supports up to 22 pounds, making this quite a substantial addition to your space. The lights have more than 6,000 color options (and you can control them with an app), so the effect can be as curated and showy or as restrained as you'd like.

It's easy to maintain, too. The surfaces are waterproof and designed to withstand regular use, so you can simply wipe it down occasionally to keep it dust-free. It also comes with an anti-tipping kit, ensuring that it won't budge once you've set it up where you want it.

"This bookshelf is so stunningly beautiful," one shopper raved, adding that it's perfect for putting virtually anything on display. Another person agreed. "I was absolutely blown away. The LED lights make it a stunning statement piece for your home."

Legendary Grunge Band Teases New Music, 'Stronger Than Ever' After 35 Years

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 2:18pm

The resurgence of veteran rock bands isn't just a nostalgia tour circuit; it's a creative one, too. Pearl Jam is the latest to prove it.

Far from coasting on their catalog, Pearl Jam released 2024's Dark Matter and mounted a major tour that reminded fans their intensity hasn't dulled. The band's output has made one thing clear: they're still evolving.

Eddie Vedder, while accompanied by his wife, Jill McCormick, was asked, "What is next for Pearl Jam?"

That's a great question, because Vedder is headed to Japan for four performances on his solo tour in April 2026. He even announced the release of two exclusive CDs in Japan to celebrate.

🎬SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

The 61-year-old Seattle grunge rocker was in Hawaii when he told AP News, "That's a good question," before breaking into laughter.

"Well, there will be more music, that's for sure," Vedder continued. "Yeah, they've been kind enough to give me some time to dedicate to these issues, this particular cause, and also knowing that that will probably fuel the emotion of when we get back together."

"But, you know, whenever we get together, things happen quickly," the Pearl Jam frontman shared. "So, you know, the funny thing is, is after 35 years, I think together, you know one thing that happened during that time is we've all become much better musicians. We really are more of a group now than ever."

Pearl Jam isn't alone in that approach. Fellow rock mainstays like Megadeth, Def Leppard, Social Distortion, and Foo Fighters have also continued to release new music and tour well into their careers, signaling that for many legacy acts, longevity doesn't mean slowing down.

Though many Seattle grunge bands aren't still together, there are a handful, in addition to Pearl Jam, that continue to push new music and tour. Those include Mudhoney, L7, and Alice in Chains, who reunited in 2005, despite the passing of Layne Staley in 2002. Truly, comprised of Soundgardenfounding member Hiro Yamamoto and Screaming Trees' Mark Pickerel, is also still making new music.

Beloved National Park Currently Has the Best Flowers Since the 2016 Superbloom

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 2:14pm

Death Valley National Park, long known for searing heat and stark desert landscapes, is revealing a very different side of itself this spring. Thanks to unusually strong rainfall last fall and winter, the park is enjoying its most dramatic wildflower display since the famed 2016 superbloom. While conditions are slightly different than that iconic event, swaths of vibrant blooms now color valley floors and hillsides, creating a rare natural spectacle worth planning a trip around.

The bloom is the result of a “perfect recipe” of nearly three inches of rainfall followed by steady winter moisture, which triggered seeds that lie dormant under normal desert conditions to sprout, grow, and flower. Species currently visible include Desert Gold, Brown‑eyed Primrose, Sand Verbena, Phacelia, Mojave Desert Star, and Suncups across multiple locations.

When and Where to See the Flowers Up CloseBest Time to Visit for Peak Blooms

For travelers eager to witness this rare desert transformation, timing matters:

  • Lower elevations: The current displays at places like Badwater Basin, Furnace Creek area, and along Highway 190 are expected to remain colorful through mid to late March, depending on weather patterns and heat spikes.
  • Higher elevations: As spring warms, blooms will likely migrate upslope, with flowers appearing at elevations above roughly 3,000–4,000 feet from April into June.

Early mornings and late afternoons are ideal times to view blooms and capture photos, while also avoiding the worst midday desert heat.

Top Flower Viewing Spots

The National Park Service lists several reliable places to see blooms this season:

  • North Badwater Road (between CA 190 and Badwater Basin) for Desert Gold and Brown‑eyed Primrose.
  • South Badwater Road (around Ashford Mill) where Sand Verbena and Five‑spot join the yellow and purple displays.
  • Highway 190 between Stovepipe Wells and Furnace Creek for a mix of Desert Gold, Phacelia, and Mojave Desert Star.
  • North Highway areas also showing Phacelia and Suncups.

These spots are best accessed by car with short walks to blooms, keep in mind that off‑road parking can be limited, and staying on trails protects fragile ecosystems.

View this post on Instagram Beyond the Bloom: What Travelers Should Know

Many visitors describe the display as magnificent but fleeting. Park officials note that the intensity and timing of the bloom can vary dramatically with temperature and weather, so planning your visit now, or preparing for later blooms at higher elevations, will make all the difference. Early mornings and late afternoons not only bring softer light for viewing and photography but also help travelers avoid rising desert heat during the day.

Wildflower season in Death Valley does not exist in isolation, and responsible travel practices are essential. Picking or trampling flowers damages roots and diminishes future blooms, and the National Park Service strictly prohibits collecting wildflowers. Carrying ample water, sun protection, and layered clothing remains essential even during cooler seasons, as daytime temperatures can rise quickly. Preliminary reports suggest visitation is up compared with recent years, so planning visits on weekdays or outside peak hours can help you enjoy a quieter experience.

11 Best Tanning Oils With SPF for a Safer Sun-Kissed Look, According to Dermatologists

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 2:10pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

If you love the bronzed look that tanning oils deliver but worry about sun damage, tanning oils with SPF seem like the perfect compromise—but dermatologists want you to understand exactly what you're getting. These products are essentially sunscreens formulated in an oil base, often enhanced with shimmer, subtle tint or nourishing ingredients that create that coveted glow.

The "tanning" aspect comes from the sun exposure you're allowing while wearing them, not from any self-tanning ingredients, which means you're still accumulating UV damage even with SPF protection. The key is choosing one with adequate SPF, applying it correctly and having realistic expectations about what it can and can't do.

Understanding how tanning oils with SPF actually work helps you use them more safely. Traditional tanning oils without SPF are designed to attract UV rays to the skin, essentially accelerating sun exposure and damage. Tanning oils with SPF flip that script—they're meant to protect while still allowing some controlled sun exposure. But here's the critical part: they only work if they contain broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays, have hopefully at least SPF 30 and you apply them generously and reapply every two hours. Most people don't use enough product or reapply frequently enough, which means they're getting far less protection than the SPF number suggests.

The reality is that dermatologists have mixed feelings about tanning oils with SPF. While they're infinitely better than tanning oils without any sun protection, they're still facilitating intentional sun exposure for cosmetic purposes—something dermatologists spend their careers warning against. The concern isn't just sunburn, it's the cumulative UV damage that leads to premature aging, hyperpigmentation and skin cancer risk. That said, if you're going to be in the sun anyway and want that bronzed look, choosing a tanning oil with high SPF, broad-spectrum protection and water resistance is far better than using nothing or using a product without adequate sun protection.

We consulted board-certified dermatologists to find out which tanning oils with SPF actually provide reliable protection while delivering that luminous, sun-kissed finish. Here are their top picks for the safest way to bronze.

Top Tanning Oils With SPFDoes Tanning Oil With SPF Actually Work?

Dr. Pooja Rambhia at UnionDerm says as long as they contain broad-spectrum coverage and are used correctly, they can provide protection, explaining, "Despite the name, these products are essentially sunscreens formulated in an oil base."

She says the key qualifier is proper use; when they're at least SPF 30 and reapplied appropriately, they help reduce the risk of sunburn, premature aging and skin cancer while still delivering that sun-kissed glow people are after.

The 11 Best Tanning Oils With SPF, According to DermatologistsBest Overall: Supergoop! Glow Oil SPF 50, $40

Sephora

Dr. Rambhia calls this impressive formula "a dermatologist favorite" because it delivers broad-spectrum protection, a luminous finish and water resistance. The lightweight oil absorbs quickly without greasiness, leaves skin with a subtle sheen and provides serious protection.

It's one of the higher-SPF options in the category, making it well-suited for prolonged outdoor exposure when applied generously and reapplied every two hours.

Best for Sensitive Skin: Coola Body Oil SPF 30, $42

ULTA

"A mineral-based sunscreen oil using zinc oxide, this option is better suited for sensitive or reactive skin types that may not tolerate chemical UV filters," Dr. Rambhia explains.

Chemical sunscreens can cause stinging, burning or irritation on sensitive skin, while mineral sunscreens like this sit on top of the skin and are generally much better tolerated. The oil base makes the zinc oxide easier to spread and less visible than traditional mineral sunscreens. Bonus: it's fragrance-free to avoid triggering sensitivities.

Best Budget: Walgreens Super Glow Body Oil SPF 50, $15

Walgreens

Dr. Rambhia specifically chose this for delivering high-quality protection at an accessible price. "This affordable body oil delivers broad-spectrum SPF 50 protection while giving skin a subtle glow, making it a strong budget-friendly option that doesn't compromise on sun protection when applied generously and reapplied regularly," she explains.

Getting SPF 50 protection at drugstore prices is rare in the tanning oil category. This is perfect for anyone who wants the glow without spending $30-40 on a single bottle of body oil.

Best for Dry Skin: Bali Body Watermelon Tanning Oil SPF 50, $30

Amazon

"Formulated with nourishing oils and antioxidants, this SPF 50 tanning oil helps hydrate dry skin while offering broad-spectrum sun protection and a soft, radiant finish," Dr. Rambhia explains.

The watermelon scent is fresh and summery without being cloying. The blend of coconut oil, vitamin E and other nourishing ingredients means your skin gets moisturized while you're tanning.

Best for Oily Skin: Kopari Sun Shield Body Glow SPF 50, $44

Kopari

Both dermatologists recommended this for multiple reasons, but mainly for oily skin as it has a thinner, faster-absorbing texture than most traditional tanning oils. Even better, the subtle scent is clean and beachy without being overwhelming. It’s a vacation in a bottle, and perfect if your skin is naturally oily.

Best Smelling: Sol De Janeiro Rio Radiance Body Oil SPF 50, $38

Amazon

Dr. Rambhia chose this specifically for its signature tropical scent that makes reapplication feel like a treat. "Known for its signature tropical scent and broad-spectrum SPF 50, this lightweight, subtly shimmery oil helps make consistent sunscreen reapplication feel indulgent rather than chore-like," she explains.

If you're familiar with Sol de Janeiro's iconic Cheirosa fragrance, you'll recognize the warm, beachy notes of pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla. Ooh la la!

Best Shimmery Finish: Vacation Shimmer Oil SPF 30, $22

Amazon

"This SPF 30 sunscreen oil delivers a sheer, golden shimmer while maintaining broad-spectrum protection, making it a popular choice for those who want glow without sacrificing sun safety," Dr. Rambhia explains.

The shimmer particles are fine and reflective rather than chunky or glittery, creating that expensive sun-kissed look. The shimmery finish photographs beautifully without looking artificial.

Best Nourishing: Sun Bum SPF 15 Moisturizing Tanning Oil, $20

Amazon

Dr. Shamsa Kanwal, board-certified dermatologist and leader of Aesthetic Evolution Skin and Laser Clinic and consultant at My HS Team, loves this for its nourishing texture. "This is a tanning oil texture that feels nourishing and makes skin look instantly more luminous," she explains.

The moisturizing formula keeps skin hydrated while you tan, creating that coveted sun-kissed glow. The tropical scent is signature Sun Bum—coconutty and beachy without being overwhelming. While the SPF 15 is lower than dermatologists typically recommend, if you're only in the sun briefly or using it for touch-ups, the nourishing oils leave skin soft and glowy. The lightweight texture absorbs quickly without feeling greasy.

Best Water-Resistant: Vacation Chardonnay Oil SPF 30, $22

Ulta

"This broad-spectrum SPF 30 oil is water-resistant and designed for swimming and sweating, making it a practical choice for beach days when reapplication is done consistently," Dr. Rambhia explains. The formula stays put through swimming sessions and doesn't immediately wash off the moment you get in the water. That said, water resistance doesn't mean waterproof—you still need to reapply after swimming and toweling off.

Best Quick-Drying: Coppertone Tanning Sunscreen Spray with Broad Spectrum, $9

Amazon

This oil-based spray has a fast-absorbing formula. "This provides a natural-looking, streak-free sunless tan and it also dries quickly," Dr. Kanwal explains. The lightweight formula absorbs fast without leaving skin greasy or sticky, so you can get dressed or lie on a towel without worrying about transfer.

While SPF 15 is lower than dermatologists typically recommend for prolonged sun exposure, it's better than no protection when combined with frequent reapplication.

Best Spray Application: Banana Boat Protective Tanning Oil Pump Spray SPF 15, $16

Amazon

Dr. Kanwal chose this for ease of use on large areas. "This is a simple, classic tanning oil that spreads quickly and is easy for arms and legs," she says. The pump spray format makes application foolproof—no rubbing or mess, just spray and you're covered. It's particularly convenient for hard-to-reach areas like your back.

The classic banana scent is nostalgic and summery. The oil spreads evenly and absorbs quickly, so you're not left slippery. While SPF 15 is on the lower end, the broad-spectrum protection still offers some defense when reapplied frequently.

Serra Ladies Pleated Front Woven Dress in Blue, $14.99 at Aldi

Aldi

Aldi's Serra Ladies Pleated Front Woven Dress is what I personally consider "country club casual." It's comfy enough to run errands in when you still want to look chic, but it can also be dressed up for an afternoon at the club with a pair of heels and some light jewelry.

The collar adds a slightly preppy vibe, while the cinched pleats are strategically placed to help define your waist. This way, you can add a belt if you want, but you really don't have to because the construction of the dress really does that work for you.

Related: Costco's $17 Rain Jacket Is the Sporty Essential You Need to Prepare for Spring Showers

Perhaps the best feature of Aldi's Serra pleated dress is the fact that it is 100 percent cotton. So it's super breathable and will feel great against your skin as the weather starts to heat up. Aside from the blue colorway featured above, there's also a green hue and a retro-looking red-and-white stripe. Each dress is priced at $14.99.

That's a whole lot more affordable than a similar style at Anthropologie—The Tobie Shirt Dress by Exquise, which costs $198. Anthro's take comes in a few additional colorways, but given that it's more than 13 times as expensive, I think I can get by with the three options available at Aldi.

Aldi is, dare I say, killing it in the fashion department lately. The chain recently stocked the softest, breeziest pair of chambray pants in two washes, perfect for spring and summer—and they're only $13.99. But if you're more interested in outfitting your home than your body, there's plenty to choose from in home decor, like a set of elegant propagation vases to help improve your green thumb indoors.

Go ahead, take a gander around the Aldi Finds aisle this week. You won't be disappointed.

Savannah Guthrie's Mom Nancy Update: New Details on Key Evidence Emerge as Case Takes a Sudden Turn

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 1:59pm

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing after being abducted from her Tucson, Ariz., home—and Sheriff Chris Nanos recently revealed new details about a key piece of evidence: the alleged suspect's backpack.

In an interview that aired on Today on Tuesday, March 3, the Pima County Sheriff shared an update on 84-year-old’s case more than one month since she went missing.

During his chat with NBC correspondent Liz Kreutz, Nanos explained that investigators are "definitely closer" to finding a suspect in Nancy's case. He also addressed a key piece of evidence: the backpack of the masked individual seen in Nancy's Nest camera.

"We've now learned that maybe it wasn't purchased at a Walmart," Nanos revealed. "That backpack is an exclusive to Walmart. But whose to say I didn't buy it and put it on eBay? That's what we're looking at."

The backpack in question is a black, 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack sold exclusively at Walmart. Previously, Nanos said it was “one of the most promising leads” in Nancy’s case.

This new information from Nanos about the backpack came after, in a sudden turn, both the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) withdrew multiple agents and officers from Tucson to focus on other aspects of the investigation.

In a Feb. 27 statement, the PCSD said, “This remains an active investigation and will continue until Nancy Guthrie is located or all leads have been exhausted,” per People. “The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is refocusing resources to detectives specifically assigned to this case. As leads are developed and resolved, resource allocation may fluctuate. PCSD will maintain a patrol presence in the Guthrie neighborhood.”

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has been searching for Nancy since Feb. 1 after she was last seen at her Tucson residence on Jan. 31. Since then, Savannah and her siblings, Annie and Camron, have sent multiple video messages to the potential captor after receiving several alleged ransom notes. Savannah most recently offered a $1 million reward for any information leading to Nancy’s return.

Those with any information about Nancy’s missing case are advised to contact the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

1976 TV Theme Became a Top 5 Hit — And It Wasn’t Even Supposed to Be a Single

Tue, 03/03/2026 - 1:57pm

In 1976, Happy Days was the biggest show on television. The ABCsitcom set in the 1950s was in its third season when producers decided to change its opening theme from the Bill Haley and the Comets classic "Rock Around the Clock” to a specially created theme song titled ”Happy Days.” The song was recorded by musical duo Truett Pratt and Jerry McClain and appeared on the 1976 album Pratt & McClain Featuring Happy Days.

Released in March 1976, the “Happy Days” theme hit No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in June of that year. It also ranked at No. 78 on Cashbox’s year-end top song list, sandwiched between ELO’s “Strange Magic” and Barry Manilow’s “Tryin' to Get That Feeling Again.”

The Happy Days theme was written by legendary writing team Norman Gimbel and Charles Fox, and it had been around for a while. An earlier version was featured on the show’s closing credits in 1974  and 1975, but by Season 3, Happy Days had a new look. Not only was it now filmed in front of a live studio audience, but Henry Winkler’s Fonzie character was featured much more prominently. The new theme song was the perfect way to kick off the enhanced show, so Gimbel and Fox had it re-recorded with Pratt & McClain.  It was used as the opening theme for Seasons 3 through 10.

In an interview with the Television Academy Foundation, Fox said once the changes were made, “the show became a hit, the song became a hit, the record became a hit.”

The song wasn't written to be a radio single

Pratt & McClain were known as a nightclub act and commercial jungle duo, but the “Happy Days” theme changed everything.

In a 2024 interview with Noblemania, Pratt said the original song was never meant to be a single. “Once the show was a hit, [producer] Garry Marshall contacted Gimbel and Fox and they wrote up the lyrics,” he recalled. “I don’t think it was ever intended to be a single. It was intended to be used for the show, but then became a single as well. Almost simultaneously. We saw a business opportunity to give product where there was no product.”

He also shared how quickly the hit version of the Happy Days theme song came to be after he met with a producer friend, Michael Omartian, who had moved offices to Warner Bros.

“We discussed the fact that the show Happy Days was an instant hit, and we should make a ‘Happy Days’ record," Pratt said. "We got permission from the clearance houses to record that song.  … By the following Wednesday afternoon, we’d done all vocals and background instruments. By Friday night, it was hand-carried by couriers to the largest radio stations in the country for national release at 8 pm in every time zone. First meeting to finished record in seven days. [Then] 'Happy Days' was being played every hour on the hour.”

RELATED: ‘Happy Days’ Rocker Had a No. 1 Hit  Song 52 Years Ago

Instant fame

While Pratt & McClain had no affiliation with any of the cast members of the hit show, the duo did do some talk show appearances with them.

Mike Douglas, Merv Griffin—with some of the side actors like Ralph [Don Most] and Potsie [Anson Williams],”  Pratt shared. "They were guests, not singing with us. The shows would pick us up in a limo. When we’d arrive, there’d be people everywhere, and we could barely get out. It was like the Beatles!”

Fifty years later, the Happy Days theme is still beloved by fans. In 2018, Milwaukee Independent reported that in a survey conducted by audio branding specialist PHMG, 21 percent of voters named "Happy Days" as America’s most memorable TV theme.
