"And by the way, that's a total lie," she shared in an episode of NPR’s Wild Card with Rachel Martin podcast. “That I don’t care. Of course I care.”

Rebecca Gayheart, Eric Dane’s widow, is celebrating her daughter Billie Beatrice Dane.
Sharing a three-slide post on her Instagram Stories, the actress wished her now-16-year-old daughter a happy birthday in the sweetest way.
“Happy Sweet 16 to the sweetest girl — mommy loves you to the moon and back unconditionally forever and ever,” she wrote over the first image, which shows a younger Billie holding a pink ice cream cone and sporting adorable denim coveralls and a pink flower bow in her hair.

Before his death, Eric Dane sat with Brad Falchuk for a candid interview, titled Famous Last Words. In it, he leaves a message for his girls.
“I see you now playing in the ocean for hours, my water babies,” he says, speaking directly to his daughters. “Live now,” he adds.
Following her husband's death on Feb. 19 after a battle with ALS, Gayheart, 54, posted a tribute to Dane, 53, on her Stories. Stretching over 10 minutes, the images and slideshow end with a picture of Dane in his wheelchair in what appears to be a men’s department store.

Sheinelle Jones Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction on 'Today' Set
Today co-anchor Sheinelle Jones recently suffered a wardrobe malfunction on the set of Jenna & Sheinelle just moments before she went live.
On Tuesday, March 3, the official Instagram account for the NBC morning show's fourth hour posted a video of the incident.
"Close call 😂🤣 #JennaandSheinelle," the caption read.
In the accompanying video, an even-shorter-than-usual Jones stood, shoeless, next to Bush Hager before their portion of Today began. "We had a little wardrobe malfunction," the former first daughter explained as the clip played."
To that, Jones said, "You know, I love that my misfortune was going to be to everyone's excitement and glee."
Bush Hager explained, "Sheinelle lost her shoes," with Jones adding, "The 30 seconds before we were just on, it was like an episode of Twins Again, where I was, like, way down here."
"I mean, I was looking down," Bush Hager reiterated.
Luckily, though, someone from wardrobe found the shoes and came to the rescue just in time. Whew!

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is back on The View, and she's taking on Megyn Kelly.
Hasselbeck, who appeared as a co-host on ABC’s The View from 2003 to 2013, is back in the studio this week. Known for her conservative politics and clashes with former co-host Rosie O'Donnell, Hasselbeck didn't hold back when it came to criticizing conservative pundit Megyn Kelly, who frequently speaks out about hot topics on her popular podcast.
As the View team prepared to discuss the deaths of U.S. soldiers in Iran, they played a clip from a recent episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, during which the host declared, “I don’t think those four servicemembers died for the United States. I think they died for Iran or for Israel.”
However, that statement didn't sit well with Hasselbeck.
“Number one, Megyn Kelly’s clip that we ran before saying who those troops died for: How dare you, Megyn Kelly,” Hasselbeck said. “How dare you tell a military person who has sacrificed their lives for our nation, in our uniform, when they are sacrificing their lives in our uniform, how dare you tell them or their families or our nation what they died for.”
When fellow View co-host Joy Behar recommended to Hasselbeck that she choose her words carefully since Kelly has a reputation for fighting, Hasselbeck made it clear that she's not concerned about the pundit's response.
“I’m not afraid of her,” Hasselbeck continued. “I have my heart with my friends in the military — you do not get to authorize who they died for.”

This Fast-Food Chain Gives You the Most Fries for Your Money, According to New Data
For most Americans, a fast-food burger just isn't complete without a side of fast-food fries. So when it comes to choosing where to eat, portion size and value both matter. A new data-driven study analyzed which fast food chain gives customers the most fries by weight and which burgers deliver the best value for your money.
Researchers used kitchen scales to manually weigh a regular portion of fries from 14 major burger chains. The goal was not simply to find the cheapest option but to determine which restaurant provides the most fries for the price. Because when you order a fast food meal, you want it to feel worth it.
Which Fast-Food Chain Gives You the Most Fries?Of all the chains included in the study, Five Guys offered the largest regular serving of fast food fries. Each portion weighed 11.29 ounces, making it the clear winner for sheer volume. That is nearly twice as much as the runner-up and more than three times as much as some other chains serve.
Shake Shack came in second with 6.17 ounces per regular order. While the portion is smaller than Five Guys', it offers strong value per ounce because of its pricing structure. In other words, Shake Shack may provide slightly better overall value depending on what you prioritize when ordering fast-food fries.
At the lower end of the ranking was Sonic, with fries weighing just 2.54 ounces per regular serving. In mid-2024, the chain introduced Groovy Fries, a crinkle-cut style. While the change has sparked conversation among fast-food fans, the study found that portion size remains one of the smallest among major burger chains.

The Fast-Food Burger That Offers the Best ValueNetcredit
The study also examined which fast-food burger delivers the best value. Instead of looking only at the menu price, researchers weighed single-patty cheeseburgers and calculated the price per ounce of meat. This approach highlights which burger gives customers the most for their money.
Whataburger's signature sandwich was found to be the best deal, followed by McDonald's cheeseburger. While Five Guys may give you the most fries for your money, the chain's little cheeseburger was shown to be the worst value fast-food burger in this study.
By comparing fast-food fries and fast-food burgers in this way, the study provides a clearer picture of where diners can stretch their dollars. In the world of fast food, sometimes the best deal is not just about price. It is about portion size, value and getting the most out of every order.

Savannah Guthrie's Mom Nancy: Sheriff Shares Update on Nest Camera Car Amid New Phase of Investigation
Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing after being abducted—and Sheriff Chris Nanos recently weighed in on the Nest camera footage of a car speeding past a home 2.5 miles away from Nancy's Tucson, Ariz., residence.
In an interview that aired on Today on Tuesday, March 3, the Pima County Sheriff shared an update on the 84-year-old’s case over one month since she went missing.
During the conversation, NBC correspondent Liz Kreutz asked, of the footage of the car, which was captured around the time of Nancy's suspected abduction, "Is this really something we should be looking at?"
“What I would tell you is this: We’re aware of it, and we’re looking into it," Nanos replied. "Just like any other piece of evidence,” he said, also sharing that investigators have not been able to identify the car in the footage.
The sheriff added, “We are at that vehicle as well as hundreds of thousands of other vehicles that were out driving that time of day.”

Additionally, Nanos revealed that investigators are “definitely closer” to finding a suspect in Nancy’s case. He also shared an update on the backpack of a masked individual seen in Nancy’s Nest camera.
Nanos' most recent update came after the investigation into Nancy's disappearance entered a new phase. Recently, the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) withdrew multiple agents and officers from Tucson to focus on other aspects.
In a Feb. 27 statement, the PCSD said, “This remains an active investigation and will continue until Nancy Guthrie is located or all leads have been exhausted,” per People. “The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is refocusing resources to detectives specifically assigned to this case. As leads are developed and resolved, resource allocation may fluctuate. PCSD will maintain a patrol presence in the Guthrie neighborhood.”

Meanwhile, Savannah and her siblings, Annie and Camron, have sent multiple video messages to the potential captor(s) after receiving several alleged ransom notes. Savannah most recently offered a $1 million reward for any information leading to Nancy’s return.

I Got a Sneak Peek at LEGO’s New 'Smart Play' Brick—and It's a Total Game-Changer for Families

There’s nothing like a lazy Saturday morning and a freshly dumped bin of LEGOs. I enjoyed it as a kid and now get to do it with my daughter. While I personally prefer building a LEGO set with detailed instructions, it’s also satisfying to watch my daughter build wild creations following only her imagination. This is something the design team at LEGO understands very well. Their yearly releases have covered intricate sets for builders who prefer to display, as well as fun interactive sets for younger builders who prefer to play. But this year, they've gone above and beyond with a new brick that might just change LEGO play forever.
At the 2026 Toy Fair in New York, the LEGO Group unveiled LEGO SMART Play, a new interactive technology that brings builds to life—without a screen. Keeping with many of LEGO’s play principles, this brick allows for a little bit of tech to enhance imaginative play instead of overtaking or distracting playtime.
While at Toy Fair, I was able to not only get a demo of SMART Play but I also got to speak with Marvin Völger, an interactive model design team-member, specifically working on the new Star Wars SMART Play set. He showed me how his team designed all the fun additions SMART Play brings to the builds (though I’m still convinced there’s a little bit of magic involved).

What Is LEGO SMART Play?SMART Play is a great mix of technology and doesn’t require a screen or complicated set up. Instead, it uses what LEGO calls “responsive technology” that reacts to a child’s movements in real time. At the center of it all is a single LEGO SMART Brick, powered by a custom chip smaller than a standard LEGO stud. When paired with SMART Tags and SMART Minifigures, builds can respond with sounds and interactive reactions as kids move pieces and act out scenes.
The sensors are very sensitive and know when a build with the SMART brick is being moved, what its position is, and if any part of it is being gently pet. See what I mean by magic?
Völger tells Parade, “The brick can detect impact. When it becomes the identity of the Dewback [from Star Wars], the sensitivity of the impact sensor is on maximum basically. That's why it reads the tiniest impact. And if you are too rough, it doesn't do it because the threshold is really small.”

The SMART brick is also compatible with all LEGO bricks, even ones outside the sets offered during this launch. Of course you’ll need the SMART tags and Minifigures to trigger many of the features, like sounds, it's nice to know that these don’t require an overhaul of new LEGOs in order to be fun.
And while many toys are turning to tech, LEGO’s venture seems to be more kid- and parent-friendly. There’s no AI or data collecting that is being sent to a third party. Kids can use this on their own and are encouraged to learn how to create cause and effect. Parents don’t have to worry about anything getting hacked or connecting to strangers.

It was a dream project for Völger’s inner child.
“I mean, my personal favorite is always the X-Wing because I'm a Star Wars fan," he tells Parade. "I got one of the first X Wings when we launched the first one in the 90s, when I was a kid. So it was really fun to be able to work on one of those, especially now that we have SMART Play with it. That was definitely like one on the list was like, okay, I've done that now.”

Kids can make Yoda whip up some blue milk or smoothies using specific pieces to fulfill the recipe. The space ships will know when they’ve been “hit” too many times and need repair (or if their pilot was a little too rough with a landing). It even knows which character is interacting with the spaces (if they are a SMART Play Minifig) and will play certain character focused sounds. My favorite was R2D2 screaming when the ship was damaged.
“I think we always try to add a good amount of humor to it as well," Völger says. "When we test it, kids just love it, you know. Like Darth Vader singing at the Cantina.” (Also a favorite in my book.)

'Days of Our Lives' Star Alice Halsey Announces Exit
Alice Halsey has announced her exit from Days of Our Lives, revealing that her run as Rachel Black will come to an end with an upcoming episode.
In the caption for the post, the actress shared her final episode will air this Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Reflecting on her time on the series, she wrote: “After shooting 56 episodes of Days of Our Lives in nine months, it was not easy to say goodbye to my friends in the cast and crew who had become like family. I will be forever grateful for the privilege to play such a fascinating, complicated character and to be a part of this epic story.”

'80s Metal Band Shares Important PSA Ahead of Las Vegas Residency: 'Please Be Aware'
Metallica is warning fans about ticket scammers ahead of their Las Vegas Sphere residency.
On Tuesday, March 3, the '80s metal band issued an important PSA about tickets to their upcoming Life Burns Faster residency following the chaos that erupted when tickets went on sale this week.
In an Instagram post titled, "Beware of Scammers," the band wrote: "Thank you for all the support for our upcoming Sphere shows...the response has been overwhelming!!!"
"Unfortunately, with incredible demand comes opportunistic scammers," the statement continued. "PLEASE BE AWARE of false promises, inflated prices, and fraudulent offers from scammers."

"Only follow the links provided by official Metallica channels," the statement also urges, while further stressing that "Individual band accounts will NOT direct you to ANY purchase."
"We want everyone to have a safe, fun, rockin’ experience at this most spectacular venue," the band concluded their post.
While many fans were grateful to the band for sending out a warning about scammers, others were already frustrated with some of the band's official partners, namely Ticketmaster, for making it difficult for real fans to get tickets.
"My dudes. The problem IS TICKETMASTER," one user commented under Metallica's post, while another insisted, "Ticketmaster is the scalper."

Others insisted that dynamic pricing caused face value tickets to be listed at inflated prices, while more claimed that bots were able to buy up tickets before real fans, leading to exorbitantly high resale prices. One person even said they saw tickets being resold for $30K.
"Is this serious?" one upset fan wrote to the band. "Stop using ticketmaster if you’re worried about bots, scammers, scalpers and resellers then."
"Be aware of inflated prices lol… yeah you think? This is insane," someone else wrote.
Another dejected fan added, "It’s impossible to buy anything."

She’s BACK! After months of speculation, Days of Our Lives confirmed that AlexAnn Hopkins will reprise her role as Joy Wesley for the Peacock streaming soap opera.
Hopkins confirmed the news in a video posted to the show’s official Instagram account, saying, “Surprise, I’m back, you thought Joy was gone, she’s back in Salem, to find out why you will have tune into Peacock.”

‘Summer House’ Drama: KJ Dillard Calls Out Jesse Solomon for ‘Bro Code’ Betrayal
If it wasn't already obvious, KJ Dillard is Team West Wilson when it comes to winning Ciara Miller's heart on Summer House.
The 28-year-old professional skateboarder/model didn't hide his reaction when Jesse Solomon made it clear to West—and nearly everyone in the house—that he caught feelings for Ciara. And while it was West who ended the relationship with Ciara a few years ago, KJ, and seemingly most of the house, find it odd that Jesse is in hot pursuit of locking down a romantic relationship with a woman who was West's girlfriend—in fact, KJ says the move violates bro code.
"Bro code...Jesse did not follow the bro code, unfortunately," KJ told Parade. "Yikes. I wish he would have went about this in a different way, especially from Ciara’s end, because I felt like it was a bit disrespectful to Ciara—not a bit...a lot."
He continued: "And to West too, like they're friends, you know what I mean? I don't think Jesse was meaning it in the way he said it. I know Jesse, and he's a very sweet guy, and he's very respectful towards women. That’s why it caught me off guard because I'm like, Jesse, what's going on, you know what I mean, and I was shocked as you could see in that episode."
Indeed, KJ, West, and others all remarked on how "weird" it was that Jesse kept insisting to the guys that he was interested in Ciara—comments he didn't direct to her, aside from some high-octane flirting.
KJ said he was in disbelief when Jesse said he wanted to hook up with Ciara. "I was like no way he's saying this," he recounted, adding that they were all "taken off guard because it's just like, dude, where's this coming from and why are you doing this? I think she just doesn't want to be treated like an object. I mean, no one does, and that's kind of like how it came off."
Bravo has teased that Jesse's flirting causes friction between West and Jesse, who have been close friends since joining Summer House. In the latest episode, West said, "I mean, on paper, you asked your boy if you can make out with his ex. But I think most people in my position would, like, call you a weirdo or a dickhead for asking me."
For his part, KJ believes West and Ciara belong together, so he hopes Jesse can see that. "It's just disappointing, but I hope that Jesse learns from that. We all make mistakes. I'm not gonna shame him or anything, but I hope he learns from that," he said about Jesse, adding that he's rooting for West and Ciara to become a couple again.
"I always am because that's big sister, and that's big brother. I love them both, and I really want them to get married," he laughed. "But West, he's gotta settle down. Time will tell. I know he loves Ciara, though."

Madeline Ross, the older sister of popular streamer and online personality Adin Ross, is dead. She was 36 years old.
