Ella Langley can say she has a good friend and supporter in fellow country music superstar Miranda Lambert. So much so that the Texas native, 42, is serving as a co-producer on the Alabama-born star’s upcoming highly anticipated sophomore album, Dandelion, the follow-up to 2024’s Hungover.

On a recent episode of Country Countdown USA, where she co-hosted alongside radio personality Lon Helton, Langley opened up about her close friendship with Lambert. During the Feb. 23rd discussion, she talked about the two’s working relationship and shared some helpful advice she received from Lambert that has guided her through the ups and downs of her career along the way.

“[She said to me] ‘You are more important than this job,’” Langley, 26, recalled Lambert's wise words, adding. “She made me care for myself.  Having someone like that made me feel like I’m okay.”

For Langley, Lambert’s influence has also led to a dream songwriting session as the pair co-wrote Langley’s current single, “Choosin’ Texas,” alongside her and songwriters Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor. 

While Lambert has spent decades in the studio recording songs for her own albums since the early 2000s, she has approached co-producing Langley’s forthcoming project with the same level of care as she would her own.

“[She is] such a godsend for me. I always wanted to produce a record with her,” Langley said of Lambert. “After we wrote Choosin’ Texas, she was there for all the sessions.” 

‘Choosin’ Texas’ Made History

The Platinum-certified “Choosin’ Texas” has had a historic run since its release on Oct. 17, 2025. Earlier this year, the heartbreak tune gave Langley the title of becoming the first woman to simultaneously lead the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts. 

More recently, Langley and Megan Moroneyhave made history as the first two female country artists to top both Billboard’s major all-genre charts simultaneously. Moroney claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 with her third album, Cloud 9, while Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” returned to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 after getting pushed out of that position for a week. 

“We were talking on FaceTime the other night. We’ve made history with this song, both just baffled and grateful,” Langley said of a recent conversation she had with Lambert about “Choosin’ Texas.” “We loved the song, but never thought it would do this. There’s no way you can predict it.”

Dandelion becomes available on April 10.

Candace Cameron Bure andJodie Sweetinhave known each other for decades but they've had their differences through the years.

The Full House co-stars admittedly don't see eye-to-eye when it quite a few issues, making their relationship complicated. During an appearance on Only Child with Bob the Drag Queen, Sweetin reflected on her the status of her friendship with her former on-screen siblings.

When it comes to Bure, who played her older sister DJ Tanner on the show, Sweetin says that the actress "does her thing."

As for Sweetin's relationship with co-stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, she says they're not as close as they were when the show was taping but she understands why they drifted apart.

"The three of us were really really close as kids," Sweetin explained. "They would come to my house for the weekends. I took Mary-Kate and Ashley horseback riding for the first time...We would go to Disneyland together...And I wish nothing but the best for them, but I can't imagine like all the bulls--t that they've had to deal with over the years."

She went on to say that the first time she saw them in "years" was at Bob Saget's funeral in 2022.

"I also I have to think about it like, for me, I did the show from age 5 to 13. That is your childhood, your memorable years. I don't have really much memories before the show. They all have to do with people or things that I did on the show. They started as babies and were 8 when they ended," she explained.

She continued, "So while we were all close then at 8...do you still talk to the people who you were close to then? You might just live in different worlds now. So I've always just kind of been like, 'I get it. You guys are doing your thing.' But it was never like we hated each other or anything like that."

Years later, the beloved actress, 55, has stepped behind the camera as producer for a pair of television series. In an all-new interview, Spencer reflects on her intentional career path and why her most meaningful work seems to happen behind the lens.

“I wanted to be a producer before I was an actor because I understand it.” the Green Book executive producer told AARP's Movies for Grownups in an article published Wednesday, March 4. "I see a producer as bringing together material and talent, being a person who solves puzzles. I see it as problem-solving. It’s also a means of generating work, not only for myself but for other people. I think it’s the most important role that I play, actually."

Spencer currently produces two shows for Investigation Discovery: Feds and Lost Women of Alaska. The latter is a three-part documentary that examines the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous people in The Last Frontier through the specific case of a serial killer.

"I always felt that too much attention was being paid to the criminals and not those who are victimized. Far too often, women are discarded," Spencer told AARP amid Women's History Month. "I think it was with the Gabby Petito case, with her being the person that we were most captivated with instead of her assaulter, people realized that we had been focusing on the wrong thing. So we always try to make sure that the women are the central focus, and their families and those that are advocating for them."

Meanwhile, Spencer's Give Them Their Flowers was featured on Oprah Winfrey's coveted Book Club list back in January. The publication that topped the list of books Winfrey, 72, can’t wait to read this year was Small Town Girls by Jayne Anne Phillips.

"Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin was performed live for the very first time 55 years ago today!

On March 5, 1971, the band embarked on a 13-stop tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland called the “Back to the Clubs Tour.”

For this tour, the band decided to perform mainly at smaller clubs they had played earlier in their career, before their rise to fame. The decision to return to these venues, rather than play large arenas and auditoriums, was meant to reward loyal fans who had been with them from the start.

At the time, Led Zeppelin was already one of the biggest bands in the world and had released three self-titled albums.

While the goal of the tour was to say “thank you” to the fans and prove the band wasn’t solely focused on making money, the scarcity of tickets meant many fans were unable to attend the concerts, leading to widespread disappointment.

When Led Zeppelin began the “Back to the Clubs Tour,” they were only months away from releasing their untitled fourth studio album. Widely referred to as Led Zeppelin IV, the record contains classic tracks like "Black Dog," "Rock and Roll," "When the Levee Breaks," and, most importantly, “Stairway to Heaven.”

During the very first show of the tour on March 5, 1971, the band took the stage at Ulster Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and performed “Stairway to Heaven” live for the first time.

They also played “Going to California” and “Rock and Roll” from the then-unreleased album.

The world radio premiere of “Stairway to Heaven” was recorded at the Paris Cinema on April 1, 1971, in front of a live studio audience, and broadcast three days later on the BBC. It would later appear on Led Zeppelin’s fourth studio album, released on November 8 of that same year.

“Stairway to Heaven” is widely regarded as one of the greatest rock songs of all time. It was voted number three in 2000 by VH1 on its list of the “100 Greatest Rock Songs.” In 2021, Rolling Stone ranked “Stairway to Heaven” number 61 on its “500 Greatest Songs of All Time” list. The track was also officially inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2003.

To this day, the song and Led Zeppelin's untitled fourth studio album are among the band's most well-known recordings.

Few actors can claim a Hollywood career that spans over half a century, but Paula Prentiss has done exactly that.

The beloved film star who rose to fame in the 1960s turns 88 today, making another noteworthy birthday for an actress whose career has spanned six decades. Her performances have made a memorable mark on classic Hollywood comedies and television alike.

Prentiss was born Paula Ragusa in San Antonion, Texas, and she first gained attention while studying drama at Northwestern University. She "took a class with an acting teacher named Alvina Krause. She had an MGM talent scout visit her classes, he had come there before," she shared in a 2019 interview. Prentiss' talent was unmistakable, and shortly after the scout's visit, she was signing a contract and heading to Hollywood.

The starlet's breakthrough came in 1960 when she starred opposite Jim Hutton in the comedy, Where the Boys Are. The film became a major hit, essentially launching her career and becoming one of the era's most defining youth-oriented films.

Over the decade to follow, she earned a reputation for her comedic timing and quick wit, and starred in a series of successful films, including Man's Favorite Sport with Rock Hudson and the star-studded film What's New Pussycat? These performances helped establish her as one of the most recognizable comedy actresses of the era.

In the later half of the decade, Prentiss stepped into the world of television with the sitcomHe & She, starring opposite her off-screen husband, Richard Benjamin. The series not only earned critical praise, but secured her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.

Prentiss continued appearing in film and television projects in the years to follow, including The Parallax View and The Stepford Wives, which went on to become a cult classic.

Today, as she celebrates her 88th birthday, Prentiss remains an enduring symbol of classic Hollywood charm.

48 years ago today, on March 4, 1978, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings celebrated a career milestone with their country outlaw collaboration on “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys.” It was on that day that the beloved tune rose to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. 

Success

Not only did the timeless duet rise to the top of the chart, but it also held that position for four weeks. Success didn’t stop there; the track went on to win a Grammy Award in 1979 for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. 

Written by Ed and Patsy Bruce, it was Ed, who originally recorded the track in 1975 for his self-titled album, according to American Songwriter. His original recording made it to the No. 15 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. 

The Lyrics

“Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys,” delivers a tongue-in-cheek warning to all mothers. The country classic finds the singer telling mommas to be careful when raising their children, as those kids could wind up becoming cowboys, who “ain’t easy to love,” who “like smoky old pool rooms,” and “girls of the night.” 

“Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys / Don't let 'em pick guitars or drive them old trucks / Let ‘em be doctors and lawyers and such / Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys / 'Cause they'll never stay home and they're always alone / Even with someone they love,” the two buddies sing in harmony, showcasing their raw, outlaw energy on the chorus. 

Nelson and Jennings’ popular version of “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys” appears on their collaborative No. 1 country album aptly titled Waylon & Willie, which dropped via RCA Records in 1978. By the time they had released the project, they had already established a business relationship, having collaborated and toured together, despite being on different record labels.

Waylon & Willie features four more duets, which are: “I Can Get Off on You,” “If You Can Touch Her at All,” “Don’t Cuss the Fiddle,” and “Pick Up the Tempo.”

Beyond the hearts and fire emojis, signaling fans’ excitement, Dion’s Instagram update was flooded with admiration and comments celebrating her timeless style.

A follower playfully commented, “A Diva! Where's Jack?” referring to the hit Titanic OST.

Others also shared their recollection of the singer visiting the country for a show.

“I remember your concert in Cape Town - my biggest wish came true. Thank you for gracing our country with your presence,” a commenter said.

“I luv to see healthy Celine,” a fan wrote, reflecting on the singer’s vibrant look in the 2000s, especially meaningful given her current health struggles.

Still on the road to recovery, the award-winning singer publicly shared her diagnosis in 2022.

At the time, she revealed she was battling a very rare autoimmune neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS).

Prior to her diagnosis, the “It’s All Coming Back to Me” singer mentioned first feeling the SPS symptoms in 2008 before a show in Germany.

“The burden was like too much, lying to people who got me where I am today," she said in a pre-recorded interview with Today presenter Hoda Kotb.

Due to her health status, Dion announced changes to her world tour, including her Las Vegas residency show, after "experiencing severe and persistent muscle spasms."

"Now, I have to focus on getting better… I want to get through this as soon as I can," she mentioned in an Instagram post.

In 2022, the five-time Grammy winner was forced to cancel her North American Courage World Tour, which had already been delayed due to the pandemic.

Maria O'Brien, perhaps best known for her roles in Matlock and Protocol, died at age 75 on February 24, according to Deadline.

Born in August 1950, O'Brien got her start in Hollywood in the early 1960s with appearances in shows such as Sam Benedict, Ironside and Police Woman.

The Los Angeles native was destined for stardom, following in the footsteps of her father, Oscar-winning actor Edmond O’Brien, and mother, musical comedy star Olga San Juan.

Throughout her decades on screen, O'Brien starred alongside A-list talent such as Goldie Hawn, Melanie Griffith, Lily Tomlin, Angela Lansbury, and Tom Selleck.

Later in her career, O’Brien worked off-camera as an acting coach for daytime drama series Sunset Beach and Passions. She would later spend 15 years as an acting coach on the long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives, where she remained until her retirement in 2022, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

O'Brien is survived by her three children, James Anderson, Danica Anderson, and Sean Anderson, and her sister Bridget O’Brien Adelman.

One Chicago returned from its lengthy hiatus to deliver one of its boldest crossover episodes yet, roping in the squads from Chicago Fire, Chicago Medand Chicago P.D. to deal with a chemical weapon onboard a passenger aircraft that lost communication with ATC towers.

The episode offered up plenty of high-stakes moments, putting plenty of lives at risk, and pushing the Windy City heroes to their limits as they tried to race against the clock to find a cure without knowing the chemical agent responsible for the deaths of 185 passengers aboard the flight.

What Is the 2026 One Chicago Crossover About?

 "Firehouse 51 is called to an airfield when a passenger jet suddenly goes silent mid-air, triggering a high-stakes emergency. Their discovery cracks open a bigger and deadlier mystery — one with consequences that could ripple far beyond the runway and put countless lives in jeopardy," the logline notes.

It was an all-hands-on-deck situation, and an ambitious task for production of the One Chicago franchises, as the Dick Wolf shows needed to utilize hundreds of extras, background actors and guest stars, with two familiar faces—Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) and Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer)—even returning to assist.

One of the guest stars who caused plenty of tension and friction between the FBI and the local Chicago responders was Supervisory Agent Nathan Conway.

Conway arrived on the scene after several of Firehouse 51 responders went onboard and discovered it was a hazmat situation, pushed back on Upton's assesment of the situation that it wasn't terrorism, put his own agents in danger by ignoring Hank Voight (Jason Beghe's) warning that they shouldn't breach a suspects apartment without clearing it first, which led to an explosion, and nearly prevented them from finding the necessary information to create an anecdote in time to save the lives of other exposed firefighters, which would have also prevented them from locating the suspect responsible for the mass casualty situation.

Despite Conway complicating rescue efforts, Voight and Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) found ways to get things done, even if it meant ignoring direct orders and getting arrested.

Who Played FBI Agent Nathan Conway on the One Chicago Crossover?

Nathan Conway was played by critically acclaimed television and film actor John Marshall Jones.

For those growing up in the '90s, he's best known for his role as Floyd Henderson in Smart Guy, which ran for nearly three seasons on The WB from 1997 to 1999, opposite his on-screen son, played by Tahj Mowry.

He's made appearances in many recognizable shows throughout the years, like Shameless, The Mentalist, Last Man Standing, Pretty Little Liars, Criminal Minds, The Rookie, 9-1-1, Big Little Lies, Bones and much more.

He played Mr. Maynard on Hart of Dixie for 20 episodes, Detective Bruckner on The Fosters, Special Agent Jay Griffin on Bosch, Nelson Bradford on For All Mankind, and Leonard Shaw on All American: Homecoming.

In 2026, in addition to his role in the One Chicago crossover, he'll also be appearing in Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair as Brian.

The #OneChicago crossover episode for 2026 began with Firehouse 51 called to an airfield when a passenger jet suddenly went silent mid-air, triggering a high-stakes emergency. The plane landed itself – Google it, it’s possible -- and everybody on board was dead from a mysterious chemical that also later affected several of the first firefighters who went onboard, killing one.

Despite the FBI’s belief that it was a terrorist event, Haley Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) disagreed with her superiors – yes, she’s an FBI agent now based out of Detroit as part of a Drug Enforcement Task Force – believing it was connected to a man on the plane [Omar] who was a known smuggler. Of course, she was right and that led her to a reunion with Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), who was also tracking down the drug case.

In the end, it turned out Omar was smuggling in the drug for a man who had been burned badly in a fire years earlier that cost him his parents and baby sister and was out for revenge against the first responders who he felt mishandled things. Two of those were Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney).

In this exclusive interview with the showrunners – Andrea Newman for Chicago Fire, Allen MacDonald for Chicago Med, and Gwen Sigan for Chicago P.D.– Parade got the breakdown on several key points from the night’s thrilling crossover episodes.

Allen, talk a little bit about Hannah’s (Jessy Schram) decision to go out to the ambulance and deliver the baby, which put her health in jeopardy, especially because she didn’t know what the chemical was. Her actions caused Dean Archer (Steven Weber), her baby daddy, and her to have all this friction because he felt she wasn’t keeping their unborn baby safe.
Allen MacDonald: Well, I think Hannah really bristles when somebody tells her that she’s being irresponsible or reckless and can’t make decisions for herself. I think [she finds] that infuriating. And I think that Archer -- for better or worse -- is a little more old school in that way, and that comes out at times. I think that’s when they have their not-so-great moments together.

So, how do I feel about Hannah going to that ambulance? I think that she did the right thing because she took all the proper safety precautions that she needed to go out there. She didn’t want to stand on the sidelines when people were dying -- when a baby could be dying inside the mother that had just died.

Andrea, you killed off Macy (Carlita Tucker). What went into that decision? I see that as something affecting Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) going forward.
Andrea Newman: It definitely affects Stella. We had done a story earlier about Macy being the first Girls on Fire candidate to go to the Academy and come out as a firefighter. So, she represents a lot for Stella, for Stella’s decisions in terms of Girls on Fire, in terms of supporting these young women going into the fire department.

Macy’s symbolic in a lot of ways. That’s why I felt she was the right one to [die] to have Stella have to struggle with the aftermath of [her death]. She definitely does, but she does it in the way that Kidd always does things, which is she’s become a real leader and a lieutenant, so she knows that it’s not just her that she has to get through these moments; it’s all of her people underneath. So, yeah, she’ll struggle going forward with it, but she’ll also help other people who are struggling with it, too.

Allen, what did that feel like for your doctors who think they should be able to save lives and they didn’t know what this chemical was, so they couldn’t make the right choices, which led to Macy’s death.
Allen: That’s what makes it so suspenseful is that idea that our first responders on the line here are trying to desperately figure out what’s going on so they don’t make any mistakes and unnecessarily lose lives. It might not be an accident that we want it to be scary in that way.

Gwen, one of my favorite moments is at the end when Halstead and Upton apologize to each other. Talk about the emotions behind that and was that now closure for the characters on the show/ or might they pop up again at some point in the future? Maybe not together, maybe separately.
Gwen Sigan: I think the door is always open. We loved having them and always would. I think it was a door sort of opening for them, right? It wasn’t full closure, but this was certainly the first time in person that they had spoken about anything that had happened between them. I think the fact that in that scene, Halstead apologizes for all of it, and he’s so open, and he’s so taking responsibility for it and accepting that what he did, he did all of it in the wrong way and that she can apologize as well.

I think a lot of the root of their problems was something that they both caused. So, I think it’s showing that the two of them are in a better place, that they can speak like that because a couple of years ago, I don’t think they could have, and that there’s hope for them. Where they go after that scene and what they do and how long they stay in touch, I think all of that is a possibility and we wanted to end it with some possibility for the pair of them.

When you mentioned in the beginning that this was taking place in the past, we didn’t know that Voight (Jason Beghe) and Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) had ever met before. I don’t think they have a relationship, but they were both at the scene of this one thing, this one fire. So, does Voight now feel responsible for it? At the time he thought he was doing the right thing, saving the little boy.
Gwen: That’s what’s interesting about it. Something we love doing on our show is that you can think you’re doing things for the right reasons, you can think you’re doing everything right, but you don’t always get the right result.

I think for Voight in that moment years and years ago, he thought this is the right thing and time’s going to be on my side and it’s going to work out and I’ll be fine. And it didn’t. It didn’t work out.

I do think he takes ownership of that in this crossover and ownership of the fact that I did make that choice and whether it was intended or not, those consequences are mine, which is a nice place for him to get to. It’s something he doesn’t always get to, but it’s nice to see it.

Andrea, Pascal was arrested. Will that play out that he’s been arrested, or will the FBI realize, ‘Oh, no, we were out of line’?
Andrea: Well, he’s walking out of jail at the end of the episode, but there are a lot of ramifications coming out of this, and it’s not going to be easy for him. I think for Pascal, this is part of this journey that we’ve talked about, which is he started as an outsider. He started as somebody who was coming in to replace Boden (Eamonn Walker), the beloved Chief Boden, and he was happy to be an outsider and happy to keep a distance, but then things changed and he got closer and closer, especially when his wife died last season and the firehouse came together for him. I think all of a sudden, he realized how connected he was to these people in a way that he didn’t expect. The crossover pays that off in the ultimate way, which he makes the biggest sacrifice for both 51 and the firehouse and for PD as well, for his cohort in the past, Voight.

So yeah, he’s going to have to face the consequences of this going forward. It is not going to be easy for him.

I had to Google ‘can an airplane land itself?’ Who came up with that idea? Then, also, who came up with this chemical that was so hard to figure out?
Andrea: Those are amazing writers. Allen, you can speak to that.
Allen: Something we’ve talked about several times today is just the airplane of it was something that had been discussed for many a crossover before this one. And it always felt like too much or a step too far, and then we finally found a way to make it work this year.

All those things that you’re asking about were put together by the three writers that were designated by Andrea, Gwen and me to be on the crossover. Because what we have to do, we have to choose one and then they function as their own writer’s room, they break the stories together. They interface with us. They interface with Wolf Entertainment on many Zooms, all of us all together.
Andrea: I remember seeing Victor [Teran] digging into the chemical research, getting into picking out these names and we were trying to say them. All three of them were doing this incredible research to get to the bottom of it from the investigative standpoint, to the medical,  to the effects that it has immediately on the fire scene.

Gwen, any word on when we might see Patrick John Flueger, who plays Adam Ruzek, come back?
Gwen: He will be back soon. Yeah, he’ll be back soon.

What was the first challenge on America's Culinary Cup tonight, and who won it?

The first challenge was anything goes as the chefs were asked to prepare their best dish. They were paired in twos. One chef’s name popped up on the ACC board and then that chef had to select who they wanted to cook against. The interesting end result was five out of the eight chefs who selected their competitor lost to them.

Judges Padma, Michael Cimarusti and Wylie Dufresne awarded points. There was a total of 60 points possible: 15 for Taste, 15 for Creativity, 15 for Presentation and 15 for Technique.

The elimination challenge, which was going to send home four chefs, was again a paired competition. The chefs had one hour to prepare a classic dish. The twist was that the winning chefs from the first challenge decided who was paired with whom and what dish they were making, and there was definitely some politics involved.
