Married at First Sight fans get excited! The iconic 20th season of the beloved reality TV series finally has a release date, and it's soon!

The official Peacock social media account revealed that Married at First Sight will return to the streaming service with brand-new episodes beginning July 12th.

The tagline for the poster teased “Expect the unexpected,” previewing a potentially dramatic season for the popular franchise.

The series follows as multiple couples are paired by relationship experts and agree to marry at first sight. Afterward, they go on a honeymoon before returning home and navigating married life together for a number of weeks, checking in with the relationship experts and each other, before ultimately deciding on Decision Day to stay married or get divorced.

Married at First Sight moved to Peacock with its 19th season in 2025, where viewers watched 5 new couples attempt to find love.

The 19th Season saw a unique twist as both mother and daughter took part in the experiment, with Jalyn and her mother Belynda putting their love lives in the experts hands.

Unfortunately, as revealed in the 19th Season reunion, none of the couples survived the experiment.

The social reality dating experiment began on FYI back in 2014, before moving to Lifetime in 2017. The series moved to Peacock in 2025 with Season 19.

Throughout the years, Married at First Sight USA has had eight spin-offs, with its last premiering in 2021.

Married at First Sight, as a franchise, began in 2013 with the original Danish series Gift ved første blik and has since expanded into franchises worldwide, with popular English-speaking adaptations airing in the United Kingdom and Australia.

Married at First Sight Season 19 is streaming now exclusively on Peacock, with Season 20 premiering July 12, 2026.

1. Review Your Budget and Cut Non-Essential Spending

Your first move should be understanding exactly where your money is going. Birardi suggests postponing major purchases, luxury items, and expensive vacations while you search for your next opportunity. "Reaffirm your monthly household spending budget," he says. "Identify essential spending—housing, food, etc.—from non-essential spending." The goal is to align your spending with your available cash flow and preserve savings for essential needs.

2. File for Unemployment and Claim Any Benefits You're Owed

It's easy to freeze in this moment, but don't wait too long to act. "Ideally within a few days after having been laid off," Birardi says when asked how quickly workers should apply for unemployment benefits. "The process can often take weeks to complete, but acting faster increases the probability of receiving financial assistance sooner."

He also recommends reviewing your severance package and claiming any available workplace benefits, including unused PTO, healthcare coverage, tuition reimbursement, or childcare benefits, thoroughly before making any major decisions.

3. Don't Assume You'll Run Out of Money Tomorrow

"One thing people can instinctively feel is that they will run out of money very quickly," Birardi says. "In many cases that's not true."

Rather than panic, he recommends simplifying your spending and focusing on securing your next role. A combination of severance, unemployment benefits, and emergency savings can provide you with a steady runway before you land your next job.

4. Use Your Emergency Fund Before Turning to Credit Cards

Let your emergency fund do what it was meant to do. "As best you can, avoid the urge to accumulate credit card debt to otherwise sustain elevated levels of spending," he says. "Unpaid credit card debt can severely compromise your progress towards future goals such as education and retirement planning."

5. Leave Your 401(k) Alone If Possible

For many workers, tapping retirement savings during a period of temporary unemployment can be tempting—but Birardi says you should keep your hands off of the asset. "Avoid withdrawing your 401(k) funds if you can," he says. "Your 401(k) is meant to sustain you in retirement."

Consider leaving the account where it is or rolling it into an IRA or a future employer's retirement plan, where it can continue to grow.

Long Term Focus

Above all, Birardi encourages laid-off workers to stay focused on the long term. "Stay calm and confident—regarding your financial and your overall future," he says. "Don't make any rushed decisions. Give yourself the time and space to consider all financial decisions with poise and clarity. And most importantly, ask others for help."

Staind, the '90s and early 2000s hard rock band, has announced a vinyl pressing collection of their iconic album Break The Cycle. The exciting news was revealed on Friday morning via Instagram, leaving longtime fans thrilled.

The vinyl collection features five distinct variants of the live recording, marking the first time the group has ever pressed the project to wax. The launch showcases a series of striking pressings utilizing a vibrant blue tie-dye pattern. Arriving just in time for the album's 25th anniversary, this special release serves as a milestone celebration of its legacy.

It's New Music Friday, and Zach Bryan had an exciting drop for his fans.

The country star released his new song, titled "Breakfast in Bed," which is out now, only on YouTube. Bryan uploaded the song to his YouTube channel without any formal announcement, and it has yet to be put on major streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.

"Breakfast in Bed" follows his sixth album, With Heaven on Top, for which he is currently on tour around Europe. He will return to the United States next month for a North American leg around the United States and Canada.

Born in Japan and raised in Oklahoma in a military family, Bryan started writing music in his free time while he was enlisted in the Navy. He produced and self-released two albums, DeAnn in 2019 and Elisabeth in 2020, before finishing his service and signing with Warner Records. The 30-year-old singer's third album, American Heartbreak, peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, and his single, "Something in the Orange," was Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In 2023, Bryan released a self-titled album, which debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 and includes the single "I Remember Everything (featuring Kacey Musgraves)." The collaboration earned Bryan his first Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Musical Performance.

Despite being known as a country singer, Bryan has expressed in interviews that he doesn't "want to be a country musician." During his Rolling Stone "Musicians on Musicians" conversation with Bruce Springsteen, he spoke about how he loves various types of genres, not just country, and doesn't want to be limited to one box or production style.

"I don’t want to be a country musician. Everyone calls me it. I want to be a songwriter, and you’re quintessentially a songwriter," Bryan told Springsteen during the interview. "No one calls Bruce Springsteen — hate to use your name in front of you — but no one calls Bruce Springsteen a freaking rock musician, which you are one, but you’re also an indie musician, you’re also a country musician. You’re all these things encapsulated in one man. And that’s what songwriting is."

Bryan continued, "When I first started making music, I told Stefan and Danny, my managers, I was like, 'I want to be in a lane where, when people look back, they can listen to my music and it’s supremely whatever you were doing.' You were the only person in my head that has ever done that."

Bryan's new song, "Breakfast in Bed," is an intimate, acoustic song that touches on the themes of substance abuse, personal flaws and the battle between who a person actually is and who they believe themselves to be. The track strips away heavy production to create a quieter and calmer vibe that has become a staple of his songwriting.

The term "breakfast in bed" is a metaphor used to describe alcoholism, referencing the person's tendency to drink beer in the morning. The "Sun to Me" singer has been public about his alcohol problem, which he revealed he got help for in November 2025, and is now sober, via a now-deleted Instagram post.

Bryan shared that he used alcohol "not for the taste," but to fill the "consistent black hole in me that always needed its void filled," and to help him with the anxieties that came with fame.

"Being in the military for a decade and then thrown into a spotlight that I hadn't fully comprehended the scope of had some subconscious effects on me as a person," he wrote in his caption. "I was not content, but I also feared showing weakness because that's not who I am or how I was raised."

What is the EES?

The brand-new biometric border checkpoint system was fully launched on April 10, requiring fingerprint and facial recognition scans to move about the 29 participating countries in the Schengen Area. Additionally, it requires entry and exit dates for travelers from outside of Europe, including Brits.

Since its rollout, EES operations have been chaotic, being "marked by passenger disruptions, delays, and missed flights," with several reports of stranded passengers, according to EuroNews. Much to travelers' dismay, there have been reports of having to repeat the process even after doing it upon arrival.

According to live queue data on WeGo, the most impacted hubs of popular travel have been Paris CDG and Geneva, with both reaching up to four-hour waits. Meanwhile, three-hour delays have hit destinations such as Vienna, Brussels, Madrid, Barcelona, and Palma.

ACI Europe, Airlines for Europe, and IATA have released a joint letter citing "critical issues" concerning the ongoing delays needing to be resolved as the summer season approaches. It makes sense that big players in the aviation industry have given pushback.

Travelers arriving from Britain via Dover have been given a reprieve due to excessive heat at the Channel crossing, as reported by The Guardian; EES checks at the border have been temporarily suspended.

President Donald Trump’s birthday UFC fight on the White House South Lawn has already drawn criticism, faced backlash after backlash, and even inspired a lawsuit. And now UFC Freedom 250 is causing another uproar. But this time it has to do with racy red, white, and blue Octagon Girls’ outfits.

The Octagon Girls are popular for a reason. They look like centerfolds and are dressed in…well, almost nothing. While their typical fight-day ensembles are basically bikinis, the ‘Girls’ are getting a patriotic makeover for Sunday’s event. 

Maximfirst debuted the looks (on UFC Octagon Girls Red Dela Cruz and Chrissy Blair), showing off the satin and sequin stars and stripes…um, dresses? Costume designer Marina Toybina shared her inspo for the ensembles with Maxim, revealing, “The inspiration was born from the intersection of sport, spectacle, and celebration.” 

Toybina continued, “Working closely with UFC, we wanted to create looks that honored both the energy of the brand and the significance of the 250th anniversary celebration. The goal was to blend strength, athleticism, glamour, and American heritage into a wardrobe language that felt sophisticated, powerful, and unmistakably iconic.”

The designer described the outfits, saying, “From streamlined silhouettes to dramatic statement pieces, each look played a role in an evolving red, white, and blue narrative. Rich textiles, custom embroidery, crystal embellishment, and patriotic motifs brought texture, movement, and a fresh interpretation of American glamour.” 

Earlier this week, Turning Point Action shared a pic of the outfits on X. Cue another UFC-related backlash. Some commenters pointed out that the red, white, and blue ‘costumes’ could breach American flag guidelines, with criticisms like, “Don’t flag regs say you can’t wear the flag as an item of clothing?” and, “The US Flag Code, which outlines guidelines for how the American flag should be treated. The code explicitly says the flag, ‘should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding or drapery,’ and adds that no part of it ‘should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform’.”

Others posted their takes on the red, white, and blue outfits, saying, “Nothing conservative or patriotic about turning our flag into a mini skirt to cheer on men rage beating each other to a pulp” and, “Tacky and def a flag code violation.”

So, are the Octagon Girls’ UFC Freedom 250 dresses really flag violations? While X users’ criticisms did get the U.S. Flag Code right, the ‘Code’ is considered etiquette, not law. That means, while (again, as some X users said) the outfits could be considered ‘tacky,’ they aren’t illegal.

The British-American rock band, America, was just coming into its own by the early 1970s. The year they released their self-titled debut album, it included a ballad that became one of their stand-out hits and a soft rock anthem about longing in a relationship.

Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek, and Gerry Beckley came together after finishing high school to form the band and signed with Warner Bros. Not many know that the trio met thanks to their shared background as American teens living in London due to their fathers being in the military. Their debut album proved to be their breakthrough.

"I Need You" was written by Beckley when he was only 16 years old. When he wrote the song, he was already with Bunnell and Peek but under a different band name. He also played piano and bass on the ballad, with Bunnell on a 6-string acoustic guitar, and Peek on a 12-string electric. Dave Atwood played the drums.

The track's lyrics cemented it as a soft rock anthem as Beckley wrote about trying to move on from a girl who left him. Its lyrics shift between longing for that person in their life and wanting to reconnect. "I Need You" was one of America's first original songs that helped establish their soft, acoustic sound.

The ballad ended up peaking at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and spent 10 weeks there. It was also a hit on the Easy Listening charts, landing at No. 7 and No. 8 on Cashbox. According to SongFacts, "I Need You" was originally slated to be released as the lead single for their debut album. Warner Bros. had their doubts about the track and asked America if they had another song. The band ended up recording a brand new track as the lead single that became their signature, "A Horse with No Name."

In an interview with KCLU, the band is still enamored by how their music has stood the test of time in the music industry. Despite the ups and downs, Bunnell said that music remains timeless.

"I remember saying this even when we were much younger, you don't know what the songs that are going to be around 20 years from now," said Beckley. "You can guess what's got all the classic elements, but only time will tell. We watched this unfold over decades because our music stayed on the air and stayed in use in commercials and movies, and it didn't go away. It became the soundtrack to more than our generation."

Since their debut in the early '80s, Mötley Crüehas become one of the most iconic hard rock bands, with hits like "Wild Side," "Kickstart My Heart," and "Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)." 35 years after the release of "Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)," off the band's 1989 record Dr. Feelgood, the publication American Songwriter named the tune "the best hard rock breakup song of all time."

Ultimate Classic Rock reported that Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil and Nikki Sixxbriefly discussed the 4-minute and 39-second song during a 2009 interview with Rolling Stone. According to Sixx, the title is in reference to a movie line.

"I saw that line in a movie somewhere, I can’t even remember what movie. I thought, ‘Great idea for a song.’ A little tongue in cheek. A little sarcasm there," said the songwriter to Rolling Stone magazine.

Ultimate Classic Rock reported that Sixx may have been referring to the film Heartbreak Ridge, released in 1986.

While speaking to Rolling Stone, Neil, the band's vocalist, shared that he had a deep appreciation for "Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)."

"That’s a great song. We’ve been playing it for years. I love to play guitar and sing that song. It’s kind of a feel-good song. When that song comes on, everybody wants to sing along with you," said Neil during the 2009 interview.

Mötley Crüe filmed a music video to accompany the 1989 song. A large part of the video featured the original members of the band, which also includedTommy Lee and Mick Mars, performing "Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)" together, surrounded by amps.

In an interview alongside Lee, Sixx shared he enjoyed the music video, which "was shot in a little tiny stage," featuring "the band being the band."

"That's how I think of Mötley Crüe. When I think of what it's like to be in a band, I don't think about stadiums, and I don't think about arenas, and I don't think about jets. I think about a Marshall stack, drums set up on the floor, a bunch of pizza boxes, ashtrays, and just pumping out metal," said Sixx, now 67. "That's what rock and roll is. So when you capture that, like in the rehearsal scene in 'Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away),' the band being the band and interacting with each other, you are getting a pretty clear vision of what it's like for us."

Wearing cheeky bachelorette party accessories like headbands and necklaces, the women were having the time of their lives. They decided to get the full "bucket list" experience and stood up, looking out at the Las Vegas Strip through the sunroof. Then they heard police sirens.

"We hear behind us, we hear, 'Ladies! Get down! Get down!" Fanning recalled. "And like, sirens are going, and we're just staying in the scene. Like, we're trying to be professional, you know? And we're like, 'This is surely not for us. What's this a part of?"

But it was for them, as they learned when they realized it was their own police escort yelling.

"They're like, 'No! Get down! Get down! We will arrest you! We will arrest you!" Fanning mimicked the officer. "And then you see us kind of, we start to just go down, and then our little penis head things are right out the sunroof. And we're crouching down."

Why the Las Vegas Police Intervened

While Nevada doesn't have a specific law against putting your head out of a sunroof, it does have a law that requires everyone in the car to wear a seat belt. It also has a law against "trick driving displays," which some would counter that standing through a sunroof constitutes. Even so, Fanning insisted they had been given special permission to do it.

"We did get clearance, and that police officer just, he wasn't aware that we had been, that it was okay," The Great star added. "But yeah, we almost got arrested."

Shor came close, getting half of the answer right, writing, “Who are Churchill & Hi Lynn &,” Wagering $4,000, she dropped down to a second-place spot with a total of $800.

The film follows two best friends who want to see the world, and maybe a sexier job. After the company they work for goes under (perhaps an ominous foreshadowing to Spirit Airlines) they get their opportunity, but disaster is about to strike. The cast stars wide range of Drag Race icons like Jujubee, Ginger Minj, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Symone, Marcia Marcia Marcia and, of course, "mother" herself, RuPaul. And the queens are flanked by a stacked guest-star lineup, including Nicole Richie, Lisa Rinna, Matt Rogers and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

While the cast is stack with Drag Race favorites, Shankman wanted to clarify it’s not specifically a "Drag Race movie" though it certainly is one for the fans of the Emmy-winning reality series. “There's some references in there, and there are Easter eggs," he says, "That's not what the movie's about.”

Though that’s all Marcia Marcia Marcia thought about when she was was overwhelmed at RuPaul walking onto set for their scene. “[I was nervous] seeing her up close like that," the two-time competitor reveals. "Because, on Drag Race, you see her far away. Y'all watching get to see her stand. But we never get to see her stand up in person and be fully tall. The whole first take, I couldn't stop smiling. ‘Oh my God, she's right there.’ Just so tall.”

Ginger and Jujubee, meanwhile, relished the chance to portray their real-life friendship on screen. They lived together while filming, which is par the course for them between their many projects together and with how much they just enjoy hanging out together. Jujubee, like her character, tends to save the day when they are together. As Ginger explains ,“Every time we go out to eat you save my life. Because I'm allergic to everything. Well, particularly seafood. But I also really love Korean barbecue. That's a thing that we do together every day.” 

Even though they are spending so much time together, they still have time for a little friendly competition, according to Ginger. “We're in this little friendly competition. In my mind we are. It's not very friendly because she'll send a picture of the work she's had done. And then I'll take it to my doctor and I'll be like, 'Match this.' And then I'll do it and then three days later, she'll send me another selfie of it. And I'm like, 'Oh no, I have to go back.'”

Like any good movie, Stop! That! Train had plenty of content that had to get the chop. According to Shankman, a few scenes cut due to VFX funding running out. “There was a whole running gag about literally a guy running behind the train, Daniel Franzese, trying to catch up with it," he explains. "But we couldn't afford all of the CGI of being able to build the world around him, because he was going to have to be running through the storm. He was going to have to be running through tunnels and other debris. We just shot it on a green screen, but to build everything around it was not possible with our limited funds."

Regardless, whether it be Shankman, the intrepid team behind the scenes, the queens, or Ginger Minj's doctor, it's clear plenty of work has been done. And the result should hopefully be a runaway success for the runaway train film.

The WandaVision star is expecting her first child with husband Robbie Arnett, with new photos obtained by multiple outlets appearing to confirm the pregnancy on Friday, June 12. 

Olsen, 37, was recently spotted grabbing lunch at Los Angeles' All Time Restaurant, where she was photographed wearing a white button-down shirt left open at the bottom, revealing what appeared to be a growing baby bump. In the images, the actress could also be seen gently cradling her stomach.

While Olsen has yet to publicly address the reports, the photos make it pretty clear that she and Arnett are about to become parents. And fans are elated about the reported news.

“So happy for her... this news is so sweet. she'll be a natural at it,” one wrote on X

“Congrats Elizabeth Olsen on becoming a real mom! Scarlet Witch finally got her kids without hexing an entire town this time  Billy & Tommy 2.0 loading,” another joked, referring to her storyline in the MCU series.

A third exclaimed, “MOTHER BECOMES AN ACTUAL MOTHER IM SO HAPPY FOR HER.”

Olsen and Arnett were first linked in 2017 after being spotted together in New York City. Two years later, news broke that the pair had gotten engaged following roughly three years of dating.

Though the couple never made a formal wedding announcement, Olsen later confirmed they had quietly tied the knot before the COVID-19 pandemic. During a 2021 interview with Kaley Cuoco as part of Variety’s Actors on Actors series, she casually referred to Arnett as her "husband" while discussing their home renovations.

Earlier this year, fans had already begun speculating that the pair could be expecting. Photos shared online in April by celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi showed Olsen out and about in LA with Arnett, wearing an oversized light blue button-down shirt paired with loose-fitting dark pants. 

It looks like those rumors were true.

Ronnie Schell, the actor and comedian best known for playing Pvt. Duke Slater on the hit CBSsitcomGomer Pyle: USMC, has died. He was 94.

According to Deadline, Schell died of natural causes on June 12 at UCLA Hospital in Los Angeles. His family announced the news.

Born Ronald Ralph Schell on Dec. 23, 1931, in Richmond, California, Schell got his start as a stand-up comedian while attending San Francisco State University. After performing at famed San Francisco clubs including the Purple Onion and Hungry I, he built a successful career that would span nearly seven decades.

Schell became a familiar face to television viewers thanks to his role as Duke Slater on Gomer Pyle: USMC. He appeared in 92 episodes of the beloved military comedy between 1964 and 1969, playing Gomer's friend and fellow Marine. When Schell briefly left the series to star in the sitcom Good Morning World, Duke eventually returned for the show's final season, having been promoted to corporal.

A spin-off of The Andy Griffith Show, Gomer Pyle: USMC starred Jim Nabors as the good-hearted but accident-prone Marine recruit Gomer Pyle and Frank Sutton as his perpetually exasperated Gunnery Sgt. Vince Carter. Rather than focusing on military conflicts, the show centered on the relationship between the innocent, optimistic Gomer and his hard-driving drill instructor, Sgt. Carter. Audiences embraced the pair's unlikely friendship, helping make the series a lasting television favorite.

The sitcom was one of television's biggest hits of the 1960s, never finishing lower than No. 10 in the Nielsen ratings during its five-season run and ending its run as the second-highest-rated show in America.

Schell's career extended far beyond Gomer Pyle. His nearly 150 screen credits included 26 episodes of Good Morning World, 13 episodes of Butch Cassidy, recurring roles on That Girl and Santa Barbara, and guest appearances on shows such as Happy Days, Adam-12 and Emergency!.

He also became a prolific voice actor, lending his talents to animated favorites including The Smurfs, DuckTales, Snorks, Shirt Tales, Pound Puppies, Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels and Battle of the Planets, for which he voiced characters across 85 episodes.

Remarkably, Schell continued acting well into his later years. His final screen credits came in 2020 and 2022, meaning he was still working professionally at around age 90.

With Schell's passing, the main cast of Gomer Pyle: USMC has now fully passed away. The most recent loss before Schell was actress Elizabeth MacRae, who played Gomer's girlfriend Lou-Ann Poovie and died in 2024 at age 88.

Schell is survived by family, friends and generations of fans who remember him as the cheerful Duke Slater and one of television's most dependable character actors.

David Bowie is an artist with an expansive legacy that includes plenty of hit songs, but one specific tune has an impressive history related to the Apollo 11 Moon landing in 1969. Bowie's popular song "Space Oddity" was originally released as a single in July 1969 before helping launch his second studio album.

The track was reportedly inspired by the Stanley Kubrick film 2001: A Space Odyssey, which came out the year before. "Space Oddity" tells the story of a fictional character named Major Tom, an astronaut on a lonely journey in space, and its production was rushed so that it could be released days ahead of the historic Apollo 11 Moon landing mission.

As the song started gaining popularity during the Moon landing, the BBC made a surprising decision about "Space Oddity," banning the song from the network until the astronauts from the mission were safe back on Earth. As the song deals with some dark themes, including the apparent death of Major Tom, it isn't too surprising.

But in another unexpected twist, the news of the ban didn't reach the BBC TV team that dealt with the day-of coverage of the landing, and "Space Oddity" ended up being used in the background as the astronauts touched down on the Moon. After that moment, it wasn't used again until the astronauts returned home.

At the time, Bowie wasn't a huge star yet, but the success of "Space Oddity" helped him gain recognition and acclaim for his music. During the track's initial release in 1969, it reached the fifth spot on U.K. music charts, but it wasn't until six years later that it achieved the impressive milestone of the No. 1 position.

"Space Oddity" was rereleased a few times over the years. Its first rerelease came in 1972, which brought the song to the attention of U.S. audiences, and it reached a peak of 15 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. But finally, in 1975, Bowie's label rereleased it in the U.K., and it soared to the top of the U.K. Singles chart, becoming his first No. 1 song in his home country.

Nearly 30 years after releasing one of alternative rock's most enduring songs, alt-rock icon Sam Bettens is giving it a new life.

The former frontman of K's Choice has unveiled a reimagined version of the band's breakthrough hit "Not an Addict," offering a fresh interpretation of the song that introduced millions of listeners to the group in the mid-1990s.

Originally released in 1995, "Not an Addict" became K's Choice's signature song and a defining track of the alternative rock era. Built around its haunting melody and introspective lyrics, the song earned heavy radio airplay and helped the Belgian band break through internationally.

"It was amazing, and we enjoyed every minute of it," Bettens told Billboard about those early days in the band. "I was so young, and I didn't know a lot about life yet, and part of me sometimes wishes that I could experience that now, knowing what I know and with a little more wisdom."

Now, nearly three decades later, Bettens felt it was time to revisit the song that made K's Choice part of rock history from a very different place in life.

Speaking with Loudwire, Bettens explained that the decision wasn’t driven by nostalgia.

"I wanted to see if the song could hold up on its own," Bettens told Loudwire. The singer was less interested in nostalgia than in marking how much his life has changed his the original recording. The new version strips away much of the mid-'90s alternative rock production in favor of a more intimate arrangement that places greater emphasis on the lyrics and emotional weight of the song.

For Bettens, that shift reveals dimensions of "Not an Addict" that may have been overlooked when the original became a radio staple. The singer acknowledged that revisiting such an important song was not something he took lightly.

"It's a song that's been with me my entire adult life," Bettens said, noting that audiences continue to connect with it decades after its release. That enduring connection is part of what inspired the new recording.

Over the years, Bettens has undergone significant personal changes, including publicly coming out as transgender and building a solo career alongside K's Choice's continued activity. Those experiences inevitably shaped how he approached the song this time around. Rather than attempting to recreate the original, Bettens chose to reinterpret it through the lens of experience and reflection.

The result is a version that feels both familiar and entirely new.

The original "Not an Addict" remains one of the defining alternative rock songs of the 1990s, but Bettens believes songs should continue evolving alongside the artists who created them.

"It’s still the same song," he explained, "but I'm not the same person."

That perspective gives the new recording a unique emotional resonance. For longtime fans, the reimagined version offers an opportunity to hear a beloved classic through fresh ears. For Bettens, it's a reminder that even after 30 years, a great song can continue finding new ways to speak to both its creator and its audience.

In the time since, the show's creators, the Duffer Brothers, have confirmed that there is an actual answer to this massive question, but only the brothers and Brown know what it is. Thus far, all three had kept things tightly under wraps, and while no one has directly confirmed Eleven's fate, Brown's recent appearance on Kylie Kelce's podcast, Not Gonna Lie, has fans convinced that Brown accidentally gave it away.

Speaking with Kelce, Brown confirmed that she wore black throughout the press tour for the final season to reflect the "funeral" for El.

Specifically, the star said, "What was hard is that I knew what was happening, I knew the end, and I couldn't tell anyone. And I wore black the whole press tour because of the funeral of her."

That's not direct confirmation that Eleven did in fact die, but given that Brown knows what the actual ending of this story is and referred to it as a "funeral," it's understandable that fans are now suspecting that, despite the characters saying they believe that El is still alive at the end of the show, she may really have lost her life as the Upside Down came apart.

In fact, one TikToker shared the clip in an edit, with a caption reading, "So Millie doesn't believe."
