Hilary Duff is coming clean about her beauty routine!

The "So Yesterday" singer, 38, opened up about her favorite cosmetic procedures during a recent interview with PEOPLE, telling the outlet, "I do all the things."

"I love Botox," she said in the July 6 interview. "I’m obsessed with microneedling and salmon sperm [facials]. It [salmon sperm] works so well."

While salmon sperm facials might sound unusual, the treatment, also known as polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) therapy, has become more popular in recent years and is said to support anti-aging efforts and skin regeneration.

Duff is so pleased with her results that she even admitted to "making" husband Matthew Koma, 39, undergo the treatment with her. "He’s obsessed," she added. "He loves it."

Duff, who recently returned to music after an 11-year hiatus with her album Luck or Something…, has been open about how her beauty routine has changed over the years, telling Allure earlier this month that as a mom of four, her approach is now "less is more."

"My beauty evolution has come a long way," the former Disney Channel star explained. "Less is more. I’ve always heard everyone say that as they age, but it’s true. But that doesn’t mean that it has to be boring. This is more my day-to-day, this is how I like to roll: I curl my lashes, swipe something over my brow and my lid. I do a cheek and a lip, but like very, very minimal."

Duff's way of thinking about her own body has also changed over the years, with the Lizzie McGuire alum explaining the importance of her "stronger not smaller" mantra at the TIME 100 Gala.

“I obviously grew up during that time where all of us were trying to disappear and be waifs, and that’s not natural for my body and for most of our bodies," she told the magazine on the red carpet, adding, "So ‘stronger not smaller’ is a huge, impactful statement that resonates with me. I am strong, and I do have muscles, and I’ve always been a gymnast. I used to be embarrassed of my strength, and I just don’t need to be anymore."

You know it’s going to be a long day when you’re feeling fatigued and it’s not even lunchtime yet. If you can relate, there’s a good chance that you rely on caffeine to power through the day. Maybe you consume multiple cups of coffee in the morning and switch to energy drinks in the afternoon.

Caffeinated drinks can be helpful for a quick energy boost, but relying on them too much can lead to masking a deeper problem. (Not to mention the inevitable crash.) Some possible reasons for experiencing fatigue regularly include having a nutrient deficiency, anemia, a thyroid disorder or sleep apnea.

Morning fatigue can also be related to lifestyle. In other words, you could have some habits in place that are causing you to feel tired without you even realizing it. Ready for a reset? Parade talked to functional medicine doctors about what habits can lead to feeling energized in the morning.

All of the doctors we talked to say that feeling energized in the morning starts the night before, with having a nighttime routine in place that ensures you’re getting the sleep your body needs. 

“Morning energy is not just about what someone does after the alarm goes off. It is also shaped by sleep quality, sleep timing, blood sugar stability, stress levels, hydration, alcohol use, caffeine timing and whether the body was able to move through normal sleep stages,” says Dr. Sunjya Schweig, MD, the founder and president of the California Center for Functional Medicine.

Dr. Mark Kovacs, Ph.D., FACSM, CSCS, a performance physiologist and a longevity, healthspan and human performance expert at the Kovacs Institute, agrees. “The biggest mistake people make is thinking morning energy starts in the morning. It really starts the night before. To wake up feeling refreshed, the body needs adequate sleep duration, consistent sleep and wake times, a cool and dark sleep environment and a routine that helps the nervous system wind down before bed,” he says.

Simply put, you’re not going to feel energized in the morning if you don’t get good sleep the night before. To support your sleep, Dr. Schweig recommends avoiding alcohol (which can disrupt REM sleep) and going to bed and waking up at consistent times. “Going to bed and waking up at very different times throughout the week can create a mild form of social jet lag, even if total sleep time looks adequate,” he tells Parade.

There’s no denying that getting enough sleep is important for feeling energized the next day. But there are also morning habits you can have in place that can support energy levels. Here are five that the doctors we talked to recommend. The best part? They won’t lead to a crash later.

It may seem simple, but drinking a glass of water shortly after waking up can go a long way in terms of feeling more energized. “The most important nutrient to consume in the morning is water,” says Dr. Jeffrey Bland, PhD, FACN, FACB, CNS, a clinical biologist, co-founder of The Institute for Functional Medicine, and president of Big Bold Health.

Dr. Kovacs agrees, explaining that even mild hydration can lead to fatigue. He points out that the body goes several hours without hydration while we are asleep, which is why drinking water is especially important in the morning.

“Even mild dehydration can affect how someone feels," Dr. Schweig adds. "It can reduce blood volume slightly, which means the heart may have to work a little harder to circulate blood and oxygen. This can show up as fatigue, headache, lightheadedness, poor concentration or a general sense of sluggishness. Studies in both women and men have found that mild dehydration can worsen mood, increase fatigue, and impair aspects of cognitive performance."

Dr. Bland notes that 16 ounces of water is a good amount to aim for drinking in the morning, shortly after waking up.

If you have a dog who requires a morning walk, you’re already doing something every morning that’s helping kickstart your body’s energy levels. All three doctors say that going for a short walk in the morning is a great way to feel more energized. 

Dr. Schweig explains that the reason why going for a morning walk is so effective for feeling energized is that it exposes the body to sunlight, which helps support the circadian rhythm.

“Morning sunlight can be one of the most powerful ways to improve morning energy. Light is the main signal that sets the body’s internal clock. When bright light enters the eyes in the morning, it triggers the melanopsin receptor and tells the brain that the day has started. This helps suppress melatonin, increase alertness and organize the timing of hormones and sleep-wake rhythms," he says.

He adds that the more consistent you are with getting natural sunlight in the morning, the more effectively it supports the body. Especially if you wake up groggy, Dr. Schweig explains that getting morning sunlight can be helpful because it gives the brain a stronger wake-up signal.

According to all three experts, finding a gentle way to move your body in the morning is another way to support energy levels. “It does not need to be a maximal workout. For most people, a moderate morning session is enough to create an energy boost without creating extra fatigue. Movement also helps reinforce the body’s circadian rhythm, especially when it is paired with outdoor light,” Dr. Kovacs says.

Dr. Schweig agrees, explaining that movement increases circulation, raises body temperature, activates the nervous system and helps shift the body from sleep mode into daytime alertness. 

For some people, a more intense form of exercise in the morning leads to feeling more energized. Dr. Schweig says that this can be beneficial, as long as you aren’t sleep-deprived. In that case, vigorous morning exercise will just make you feel more tired.

If you skip breakfast in the morning, it’s no wonder you feel tired. The body needs nutrients to use as energy. “A good energy-supporting breakfast should include protein, fiber-rich carbohydrates, healthy fats and fluids,” Dr. Kovacs tells Parade.

He explains that protein helps with satiety and muscle maintenance, fiber-rich carbohydrates (like vegetables, fruit, or whole grain toast or oats) provide steady energy rather than a quick spike and crash and healthy fats from foods like avocado, nuts, seeds or olive oil can help with satiety.

Similarly to how certain foods can provide the body with energy, some foods can lead to feeling more depleted. “A breakfast that is mostly refined carbohydrates or sugar may provide quick energy, but it often does not last. That can lead to a mid-morning crash,” Dr. Schweig says. That means to steer clear of sugary pastries or ultra-processed cereals that are low in nutrient density. 

Perhaps the most common habit people have for feeling more energized in the morning is having a cup of coffee. While it’s true that the caffeine in coffee can provide a short burst of energy, it’s best not to pour yourself a cup right after you wake up. Dr. Kovacs says that waiting 30 to 90 minutes after waking up before drinking coffee is best because it allows the body time to naturally transition out of sleep inertia. 

In addition to allowing the body time to naturally transition from a sleep state to being awake. Cortisol naturally spikes in the morning, which is another reason why it’s best to wait to drink coffee.

“Adding caffeine immediately on top of that may feel fine for some people, but for others it can create a more jittery or stress-activated feeling. Caffeine has been shown to increase cortisol secretion in some settings, especially in people who are not fully tolerant or are under stress,” Dr. Schweig says.

And remember, you should drink a glass of water before drinking your coffee too.

It bears repeating that, sometimes, feeling fatigued is due to an underlying medical problem. This is why if you’ve been feeling fatigued for a prolonged amount of time and you can’t pinpoint why, it’s important to see a doctor. 

“If someone is getting enough sleep but still wakes exhausted, snores loudly, wakes gasping, has morning headaches, feels depressed, has heavy periods, feels unusually cold, has unexplained weight changes or needs naps to function, it is worth discussing with a healthcare provider,” Dr. Schweig says, adding that sleep apnea, anemia, thyroid disease, depression, chronic infections, nutrient deficiencies, medication effects and blood sugar problems can all show up as fatigue.

Morning tiredness isn’t just frustrating; it can be an indication of a health issue that needs to be addressed. “From a healthspan and longevity perspective, morning energy is a useful daily signal. It tells us something about recovery, metabolic health, nervous system balance and sleep quality. The goal is not to force energy through willpower or caffeine. The goal is to build a morning and evening rhythm that helps the body generate steady energy naturally,” Dr. Schweig says.

If you’ve been relying on caffeinated drinks to get through the day, consider this a sign to get to the root cause of your fatigue. Your health depends on it!

The Allman Brothers Band had already released two studio albums and a live album when they released "Blue Sky," a track that would become one of their most popular joyful hits.

Following the death of the band's leader,Duane Allman, in a motorcycle accident in 1971, the band decided to continue releasing music with their album Eat a Peach. It further cemented the band's rise to fame with two tracks: Gregg Allman's "Melissa" and Dickey Betts' "Blue Sky."

It just so happened that Betts was the band's new lead singer and "Blue Sky" was the final recorded performance with Duane on guitar. Both musicians are heard alternating on vocals for the track, and Betts didn't originally plan to sing on the track. He wanted Gregg to sing vocals, but was stopped by Duane and is reported to have said, "Man, this is your song, and it sounds like you, and you need to sing it."

"Blue Sky" was originally a love song before it became known among fans as an uplifting anthem. Betts had written it about his then-Indigenous Canadian girlfriend, Sandy "Bluesky" Wabegijig. The two would later marry and have a daughter who would inspire another Allman Brothers classic.

"Dicky and I met in March 1971 and were together until 1975. He wrote the song in the spring of '71. We were officially married in 1972. I am Odawa (following my dad's nation). My mother was Ojibway," said Wabegijig, according to SongFacts.

After the two split in 1975, it was reported that Betts refused to play the track live. While the song has a love story behind its inspiration, Betts developed it with no references to gender and a more neutral narrator.

"Once I got into the song I realized how nice it would be to keep the vernaculars—he and she—out and make it like you’re thinking of the spirit, like I was giving thanks for a beautiful day. I think that made it broader and more relatable to anyone and everyone," he said.

The track was never actually released as a single and never entered the charts because of it. "Blue Sky" still managed to become a favorite among fans, a concert staple, and got considerable airplay. It also holds a special place among fans due to Duane's death before the album's release. Eat a Peach was dedicated to the band leader.

"As I mixed songs like 'Blue Sky,' I knew, of course, that I was listening to the last things that Duane ever played and there was just such a mix of beauty and sadness, knowing there's not going to be any more from him," said recording engineer Johnny Sandlin.

The song was covered by Joan Baez in 1975 and landed at No. 57 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Guitarist Frank Hannon also released a cover in 2018 featuring Betts' son Duane Betts on guitar.

Duchovny nabbed a doozie of a role in Weekend, in which she plays Aubrey, a young mother and the daughter of Chloe Sevigny's character, a lifelong resident of Nantucket. Aubrey befriends Caroline, the daughter of Hollis Shaw, a famous food blogger whose husband tragically died. Hollis, by the way, is played by Jennifer Garner.

Back in October, the cast of The Five-Star Weekend made it clear they had the time of their liveson the Nantucket set of the show. Garner and her costars Chloë Sevigny, Regina Hall, Gemma Chan, and D’Arcy Carden headed to the Gaslight in Downtown Nantucket for a little karaoke, and were joined by local Nantucket Ghost Walk guide Bill Jamieson onstage as they performed a rousing rendition of ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” according to the Nantucket Current.

Joe Minella, who runs the Gaslight’s karaoke night, told the Current how Garner and her squad of lovely costars came to take the stage.

“Bill had no idea who he was singing with, he just thought it was some ladies that wanted to sing with him,” Minella told the publication. “What happened was Bill had signed up to sing Dancing Queen, which he does often. And then another lady came up and wanted to sign up to sing Dancing Queen, and she was like ‘we wanna go quickly, and just so you know, I’m with Jennifer Garner.’ And I told her that they could sing Dancing Queen if they wanted to, but Bill had already signed up for it, so they had to sing it with him. So then they all sang it together.”

One of the biggest movies of 1986 remains one of the most beloved summertime classics of all time, 40 years later. In a recent roundup, Marie Claire ranked 1986’s Stand by Me among the best summer movies of all time.

The Academy Award-nominated coming-of-age film, based on Stephen King's novella The Body, was directed by Rob Reiner and starred child actors Wil Wheaton (Gordie), River Phoenix (Chris),Corey Feldman (Teddy), and Jerry O’Connell (Vern). Set in the summer of 1959, the story follows four friends on a mission to find the body of a missing boy near their hometown.

Marie Claire noted, “You never have friends like the ones you have when you were 12! This coming-of-age drama may be one of the best Stephen King adaptations of all time, following a group of boys as they set out in search of the body of a man killed nearby their town. Along the way, they learn a bit about growing up, each other, and themselves—and you'll feel both nostalgic and glad you don't have to relive adolescence again.”

At the time of its release, Stand by Me was praised for its coming-of-age storyline and the acting from its young cast.

“The shots of the small boys in the big outdoors are like advertisements for summer camp,” The New York Times noted in a 1986 review. “There is a lot of boys' talk and good fellowship and an unstated and stated appreciation of this grand episode in their lives and how nothing will ever equal the comradeship of this summer.”

All four Stand by Me stars would forever be changed by the movie.

In a 2026 interview with People magazine, Wheaton, who went on to become a prolific voice actor, recalled taking the Stand by Me role very seriously.

"My clearest memory of it is that we were all working together. We all knew we were doing something special,” the actor shared. “I have not ever worked on anything since then that had that level of, 'Holy crap, this is so special. This is really a meaningful thing.’ …I had a feeling in my body when I was doing the entire thing that we're doing work that matters, and I loved that."

Ahead of Stand by Me, Feldman had already logged roles in films such Gremlins and The Goonies, and would go on to star in some of the biggest movies of the 1980s, including The Lost Boys and the teen comediesLicense to Drive and Dream a Little Dream. But Stand by Me stood out to him.

The actor once named Stand by Me as one of the best experiences of his film career, according to Trib Live. “I honestly had the best summer of my life being out there,” he said. “I think that the movie overall is a beautifully crafted piece of art. It’s an incredible story by Stephen King.

O’Connell, who went on to appear in Jerry Maguire, The Defenders, Crossing Jordan and more, credited Reiner for the film's success, noting that he was a mentor to the young actors on set.

"Stand by Me was my first job," O'Connell told Newsweek. “Rob Reiner, looking back, was so good at directing us and working with us, and he really just got great performances out of all four of us."

Phoenix died tragically in 1993 at age 23. His post-Stand by Me acting credits included roles in Little Nikita, Running on Empty, and My Own Private Idaho, making him one of the most promising young stars of the early 1990s.

“He was always a movie star,” O’Connell recalled of Phoenix, per Gold Derby. “He just had something extra.”

Millie Bobby Brown has a monk to thank for helping her overcome a three-month anxiety attack.

The Stranger Thingsactress, 22, opened up about how she was able to move past a "traumatizing" experience during a trip to Japan on the Monday, July 13, episode of the On Purpose With Jay Shetty podcast.

Brown revealed that after being "chased" by people in public, she felt like she "shut down" with anxiety for three months.

“It was a really traumatizing 20 minutes. It was very intense, very scary," she recalled. "I feel like I shut down, and I shut down for three months. In that moment, something switched in my mind."

It was only when Brown took a trip to Japan with husband Jake Bongiovi, 24, that she found an unexpected release. The Enola Holmes 3 actress said she met "one amazing Japanese gentleman" at a Kyoto retreat inhabited by monks, who "was just so calm and almost felt like he saw me."

"I was in the height of my anxiety at this point. He knew that I was kind of broken," she recalled, adding, "He was like, ‘We need to meditate,’ and I was like, 'OK.'"

She continued, "We meditated in this garden for five minutes. I meditated with 50 people. It was not just us—it was a bunch of tourists like us. And it was amazing, and I will never forget the feeling."

While it was Bongiovi's birthday, Brown said she felt like she was the one who had received "the biggest gift of all," which was "peace in [her] heart."

"My husband literally said, ‘You radiated this light after,'" she remembered. "It was exactly what I needed."

Looking back on the encounter with the monk, Brown said, "I’m a believer in divine intervention, and I think that was a moment where God was like, ‘You need to take a break and sit there and figure out what’s going on in your head.' I think that healed me in a lot of ways."

The Christmas-themed extravaganza kicks off July 25, 2026, after a special noon screening of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Diehard fans can purchase a VIP meet-and-greet package and score signed memorabilia, while others can attend his live Q&A at no extra charge.

Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian stated, “Night in Venice is one of Ocean City’s signature traditions, and we’re thrilled to welcome Randy Quaid to help us celebrate this year’s unique theme."

He added, “His iconic role in one of America’s favorite holiday movies makes him the perfect grand marshal for a celebration that combines patriotism, Christmas spirit, and one of the country’s most spectacular boat parades.”

Bill Maher has no plans to step away from his career in late-night anytime soon.

The Real Time host, who turned 70 in January, opened up about his future on TV on the Monday, July 13, episode of his Club Random podcast, during a conversation with Comics Unleashed host Byron Allen.

“At 70, it’s different because now, I’ve done everything I ever wanted to do. So now I’m playing with the house money,” Maher explained. “I mean, if it all ends tomorrow, well, you know, it was a good ride.”

He said that his age, people are "basically retired," adding, "But I don’t want to retire, and nobody who was my fan wants me to."

Maher also explained that despite hitting 70, he doesn't "feel any f--king different" than he did when he was younger.

"I’m not married, I don’t have kids, I still drink and smoke pot... It’s like, when my life changes, maybe the show or my career will change," the comedian said, adding, "But until it does…"

Maher's Real Time with Bill Maher has been airing on HBO since 2003, making it the network's second-longest-running series after Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, which ended in 2023 after its 29th season. Real Time, which is currently airing its 24th season, has been renewed through 2028.

Maher told Allen that he's still having a great time filming his late-night show. "There is not a time I am standing right backstage before the show starts when I don’t think to myself, enjoy this, because this is kind of what you live for," he admitted. "This is as much fun as you’re going to have with your pants on ever."

While the show will eventually come to an end, Maher said he can't know which will be his last, which is why "you have to enjoy it" every time.

Not often do you hear someone after learning of a new disease they have to jump for joy, but that's what makes Bryan Johnson so unique.

After receiving a bidirectional endoscopy, he couldn't have sounded more enthused, stating, "I would so much rather know now than I would find out down the road when it’s like now it’s creating cancer in your stomach. You know, I can do something about it. Knowing about it allows you to do things earlier."

In other words, don't expect Bryan to put his pursuit on hold. He's doubling down.

Michelle Buteau has no problem making people laugh. And her comedy style has paid off. The Survival of the Thicket creator and star is booked and busy with multiple projects, some of which have put her in the same category as legends. 

While speaking with Bevy Smith on her podcast Pillow Talk, the Buteau opened up about making history as the first Black female comedian to play at Radio City Music Hall. The special, A Buteau-ful Mind, is available to stream on Netflix. Representation matters, but Buteau says the moment was long overdue.

“The thing is, when we’re still making history in 2025, 2026, it doesn’t even feel good sometimes. It just feels like, ‘Why hasn’t this happened already?’” the Critics' Choice award-winner admitted. When Smith rebutted, “It feels very reductive,” Buteau echoed similar sentiments. “It does. That’s a good word,” Buteau responded. 

As for what Buteau is proud of, she says it’s more so about betting on herself, and despite some fears along the way, she has chosen a career that’s unconventional to many, but it’s paid off because she’s always tried her best. A former editor of the local news in both Miami and New York, Buteau began doing stand-up comedy as a side gig. After taking a trip to Africa for her 30th birthday, she quit her day job and pursued comedy full-time against many of her family members’ wishes. 

With Survival of the Thickest in its final season on Netflix, Buteau is happy with what she created, especially giving creators their big break. Most people who work on her show are from marginalized or underserved backgrounds, including women, creatives of color, and people who identify as LGBTQ+. That decision, Buteau says, was intentional, so that it reflects what the world looks like. She hires people based on their talents and not their nationality, gender, or sexuality. 

Buteau also says she’s not concerned with topping her success, as she measures it by her children's happiness and her ability to spend time with her family. She’s a caregiver for her father, who has dementia, and understands that time is what is most precious.

Savannah Guthrie is back in Studio 1A after a four-day absence from the Today show.

The journalist, 54, returned to the NBC morning show on Tuesday, July 14, where she was welcomed back by co-host Craig Melvin.

“So glad that Savannah’s back in Studio 1A,” said Melvin, 47, who noted that Guthrie had "some much-deserved time off" while she was away.

Guthrie then explained to viewers that she had spent her time off watching "all those World Cup matches," telling her shocked co-star, "I watched quite a few of them, and you should know, the France and Spain semifinal is today."

Guthrie didn't go into any further details about her absence, and PEOPLE reported last week that her time away from the show was not related to any developments in the case of her missing 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie.

Nancy was abducted from her home in Tucson, Ariz., on Feb. 1, and an investigation is ongoing into her whereabouts. Following Nancy's abduction, Savannah took an extended hiatus from Today, returning in April after an emotional sit-down with Hoda Kotb, who helped fill in while she was away.

“It’s hard to imagine doing it because it’s such a place of joy and lightness, and I can’t come back and try to be something that I’m not,” Savannah told Kotb of returning to Today at the time. “But I can’t not come back, because it’s my family. I think it’s part of my purpose right now.”

“I want to smile. And when I do, it will be real,” she continued. “I will have joy. And my joy will be my protest. My joy will be my answer. And being there is joyful. And when it’s not, I’ll say so. And I have been so grateful to have this family. I consider this my family, my greater family.”

The TV personality added of her return, "And so I don’t know if I can do it. I don’t know if I’ll belong anymore, but I would like to try. I would like to try."

When you think of the 1980s glam metal band Twisted Sister, a lot comes to mind. Perhaps it is their teased-out hair, their wild makeup, or their unshakeable commitment to free speech. What you probably don't think of is Christmas, and funnily enough, that's exactly what lead singer Dee Snider was unconsciously influenced by when he wrote their rebellious anthem "We're Not Gonna Take It." The funny part? He didn't realize it until years later.

The song has, over time, become synonymous with protests and rebellion, exactly what Snider intended with his powerful lyrics.

"But I said, 'I want to be general,' so people can put their situation [in]," Snider said in an interview with Ultimate Guitar. "Now, mind you, I was thinking about my dad, my bosses, my teachers, ex-girlfriends – things like that. And because it's so general, it has become a battle cry for every cause and every side. So, I've got all the way on the left singing it and all the way on the right they're singing it. And now, it's almost a folk song at this point – where it's just transcended the genre, the band. And that's incredible. I never expected that."

What he didn't realize, though, was that he unwittingly included the tune from the Christmas classic "O Come All Ye Faithful." What's even funnier is that the band didn't realize it until they were recording their 2006 holiday album A Twisted Christmas and included the legendary Christmas carol on their album.

"When we started doing the Christmas record, the hook of it — once we got over the idea of doing it — Dee said one of these other guitar players in one of his solo projects said to [him], 'You do know that 'O Come, All Ye Faithful' is the melody line for 'We're Not Gonna Take It'?' And Dee goes, 'Really?' He had no idea," guitarist Jay Jay French told Grand Haven, Michigan's WMPA radio station, according to Blabbermouth's transcription. "So we had transposed it, and it worked. It's not exact, but close. But it was never consciously done, and we didn't know this, and it wasn't stated, until years later."

Aside from the fun Christmas fact, the rebel anthem really got its street cred when Snider faced Congress over the song a year later. In 1985, LoudWire reported a group of four women formed the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) and targeted metal and rock music. The group wanted Congress to implement a voluntary ratings system for the music industry, similar to a movie rating system. They compiled a list of songs that was dubbed the "Filthy Fifteen" and featured tracks by Black Sabbath, Mötley Crüe, AC/DC, Judas Priest, and, of course, Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It."

Alongside Frank Zappa and John Denver, Snider testified in Congress dressed in skin-tight clothes, a cut-off shirt, and snakeskin boots, and delivered a takedown none of them expected. In his speech, Snider addressed the misinterpretations of his songs, emphasized freedom of speech, and ultimately accused the group of un-American censorship. It led the Recording Industry Association of America to implement "parental advisory" warnings on explicit albums.

"The raw hatred I saw in Al Gore's eyes when I said Tipper Gore had a dirty mind for interpreting my song 'Under the Blade' as being about sadomasochism and bondage (it was actually written about my guitarist's throat operation) was a joy to behold," wrote Snider in an op-ed for Huffington Post decades later. "They really should have vetted me better before allowing me in to speak. Thirty years later, everything and nothing has changed. The ultra-conservatives still want to dictate to the masses what they deem acceptable for the general public to see and hear. The record industry is a mere shadow of its former self (apt punishment for its cowardice), and CDs and vinyl albums have almost become 'novelties' in a world driven by downloads. Yet, the warning labels still adorn individual track listings and albums online."

The ride layout is set to be a total game-changer for the park's entrance footprint, integrated directly into The Island of the Five Senses theme area. According to Lydia Storks over at AllEars.net, who shared the first look, the high-speed coaster vehicles will be fully visible to travelers the exact second they step through the main gates to begin their day at Efteling.

The storyline places riders in the shoes of "missionauts" embarking on an intense expedition inside a scientific institute, where the ultimate goal is to break the light barrier.

"Missie Luminar will be a fantastic addition to our thrill ride line-up. This type of roller coaster is completely new for Efteling. The top speed goes up to 80 km/h, but it may feel even faster to you," sharedEfteling CEO Fons Jurgens in a statement detailing the physical specifications. "It’s going to be unique and special, also because of the location... We’ll need to be patient a bit longer, but we’re already looking forward to the first reactions from our visitors."

The physical ride experience sounds like an absolute blast for coaster purists. Each train will seat 18 passengers in a suspended layout, kicking off with a powerful launch sequence. Efteling promises that the ride itself will clock in at more than two minutes, featuring a high-velocity mix of surprising tracking elements and multiple distinct moments of weightlessness.

While a 2029 debut means we still have a bit of a wait ahead of us, the scale and budget behind Missie Luminar prove that Efteling isn't slowing down its push to mix classic fairytale charm with world-class, modern thrill engineering.
