Psychologists Say People Who Have ‘Absolutely No Filter’ Likely Have These 7 Traits
Some people simply like to "tell it like it is," and their blunt method of communicating can occasionally rub others the wrong way. On the other hand, unbridled honesty can often be refreshing and can sometimes lead to productive conversations about topics that people might not otherwise feel comfortable raising. Either way, psychologists say people who have absolutely no filter are likely to have a few personality traits in common.
Whether you grew up with a parent who didn't mince their words or you married someone who isn't shy about sharing their feelings (or oversharing), we all likely know at least one person who tends to speak without much forethought. At times, their honesty can feel abrasive, and it can seem like they don't even think before they speak. But oftentimes, they don't even realize that they're offending others.
Whether you identify as someone who doesn't have a filter or you're close to someone who never holds back their inner monologue, you might be curious to know what sort of personality traits this talkative group shares. To better understand the inner workings of their minds, Parade consulted three mental health pros. Below, we're breaking down everything they told us about what it means to speak with no filter and sharing a few tips for developing your filter.

What Does It Mean To Speak With ‘No Filter’?Everyone has their own unique definition of what it means to speak without a filter. Overall, the personality trait is defined by a few common behaviors.
"Speaking with no filter means the thought travels directly from your brain to your mouth without stopping at the editing desk," clinical psychiatrist Dr. Tamir Aldad, who works at the same-day mental health clinic Mindful Care, says. "Most people have an internal checkpoint, a brief pause where the brain asks, 'Should I actually say this?' before speaking. People with no filter either have a very short checkpoint or none at all."
The good news? Having no filter isn't inherently a bad thing.
"Speaking with no filter means expressing thoughts quickly and directly without pausing to consider timing, context or impact. It’s not inherently negative. In fact, it can come across as confident or authentic," board-certified clinical psychologist Dr. Jenny Yipsays.
Of course, having no filter can become a negative thing when it begins to harm others.
"The problem isn't the absence of a filter; it's the absence of awareness that the filter is missing. When someone doesn't realize they've said something jarring or hurtful, that's where relationships suffer," Dr. Aldad says.

What Does It Say About a Person if They Have No Filter?Again, if someone lacks a filter when they speak, it doesn't mean they're a bad person.
"In my clinical experience, people with no filter are almost never malicious; they're usually just wired for speed or efficiency. Their brain prioritizes output over editing. What I typically see is a person who is highly intelligent, genuinely curious, deeply opinionated and often emotionally transparent to a fault," Dr. Aldad shares. "They'll tell you exactly what they think about your haircut, your business idea and your life choices, usually in that order, and usually in about 45 seconds."
Dr. Sanam Hafeez, a New York City neuropsychologist and director of Comprehend the Mind, says people without filters are typically "deeply uncomfortable with pretending."
"What you see is genuinely what you get. They tend to be the kind of person who will tell you the truth when everyone else is staying quiet," she states. "Sometimes it comes from a place of confidence, and other times it's just that they never learned to pause before they speak. People with no filter often have big hearts. They just haven't quite figured out that not every thought needs an audience. At the end of the day, it says they value realness over approval, which is rare, even if it occasionally makes things awkward."

What Do You Call Someone Who Speaks With No Filter?Dr. Aldad notes that there isn't a clinical diagnosis for having no filter, but says the behavior has "several clinical homes."
"The most common term you'd see in a chart is disinhibition, specifically verbal disinhibition, which refers to reduced ability to suppress socially inappropriate or impulsive speech," he reveals. "It sits under the broader umbrella of executive dysfunction, which is the brain's difficulty regulating, planning and monitoring behavior."
Dr. Hafeez says someone who speaks without a filter is often described as "blunt, outspoken or brutally honest."
"These words carry both admiration and criticism, all depending on who you ask. In some cases, people use the term 'tactless' or 'unfiltered' to describe someone who constantly says whatever is on their mind," she says.

Is Having No Filter a Sign of ADHD or Autism?Everyone has their own unique way of communicating with others, but people with ADHD and autism often tend to speak without a filter. That begs the question: Is having no filter a sign of these conditions?
"Having no filter is a common trait in people with ADHD, largely due to difficulties with impulse control and the brain's ability to pause before speaking. In autism, it often shows up as a preference for direct, literal communication rather than socially filtered responses," Dr. Hafeez explains. "That said, not everyone with ADHD or autism lacks a filter, and not everyone without a filter has either condition. It's a trait, not a guaranteed symptom, so it shouldn't be used as a way to self-diagnose."
7 Common Traits of People Who Have ‘Absolutely No Filter,’ According to PsychologistsPeople who lack a filter often have the following personality traits in common.
1. They might "ruin" movies for themselves and everyone around them"People with no filter say the plot twist out loud the second they figure it out," Dr. Hafeez says. "Their brain and their mouth are essentially the same organ; there's no holding area where thoughts wait to be evaluated. They're the person whispering 'He's definitely the killer' 12 minutes into the film and then looking around like they did something impressive."
2. They might accidentally make checkout lines deeply personal"People with no filter have a strange ability to turn a 45-second transaction into an unexpectedly intimate conversation because they just start talking without a social roadmap," Dr. Hafeez says about people with no filter in a checkout line. "The cashier asks if everything is okay, and suddenly they're explaining their whole week. They're the ones who leave the grocery store having told a complete stranger about their divorce, their bad knee and their complicated feelings about cilantro."

3. They can be the most loyal person in the room, and the most likely to accidentally start drama"No-filter people are often fiercely devoted, and that devotion makes them more likely to say something incendiary, not less," Dr. Aldad says. "They'll confront whoever wronged their friend without hesitation, say what everyone else was too polite to say at the family dinner, and mean every word as an act of loyalty. The delivery just lands like a grenade."
4. They might text back with brutal honesty instead of leaving people on read"People with no filter don't have the patience to craft a carefully worded response. There's no drafting, no deleting, no staring at the ceiling wondering how to word it nicely," Dr. Hafeez explains. "They're the ones who respond to 'Does this business idea sound good?' with a three-paragraph breakdown of exactly why it won't work, complete with bullet points."
5. They might give honest feedback nobody asked for"People with no filter have a gift for noticing things and an apparent inability to keep those observations to themselves," Dr. Hafeez states. "They walk into your apartment and immediately say 'This couch is too big for this room,' with the calm confidence of someone who was hired to say that. They genuinely believe they're being helpful, because in their head, information is always welcome."
6. They might be terrible at small talk—not because they're shy, but because they think it's a waste of time"Weather, weekend plans, sports scores: they'll tolerate it for about 90 seconds before steering toward something real. Their brain runs hot and [doesn 't] love idle speed. Skipping the social script isn't rudeness but about efficiency," Dr. Aldad shares.

7. They can give compliments that accidentally sound like insults"People with no filter genuinely mean well but lack the wiring that softens a thought before it exits their mouth," Dr. Hafeez says. "Their compliments are honest, unpolished and occasionally confusing to receive. They're the ones who say things like 'You look so much better today than usual,' and genuinely cannot understand why the room went quiet."

How To Improve Your Filter if You Currently Speak Without One: 5 TacticsJust because you currently speak without a filter doesn't mean you can't work on developing one. Still, it's important to understand how your brain works before getting started.
"Improving your filter isn’t about willpower; it’s about strengthening the brain systems that regulate timing, impulse control and social awareness," Dr. Yip says. "At a neural level, this comes down to the interaction between the prefrontal cortex (responsible for planning, inhibition and decision-making) and more reactive regions like the amygdala and limbic system (which drive emotional and rapid responses)."
When someone speaks without a filter, it often means their prefrontal cortex "isn’t engaging quickly enough to modulate the response," she tells Parade. To improve this, you can try the following steps.
1. Create a deliberate response (3-5 seconds)"This allows the prefrontal cortex to 'come online' and evaluate the response before it’s expressed," Dr. Yip says.
2. Label the impulse before acting on itIf you find yourself feeling the urge to say something that may offend others, it helps to recognize that before breaking into speech.
"This recruits higher-order cognitive control and reduces automatic responding," Dr. Yip states.
3. Slow your speech rate"Faster verbal pacing is linked to reduced inhibitory control. Slowing down increases regulatory capacity," Dr. Yip suggests.
4. Practice response inhibition in low-stakes moments"Even small acts like waiting before replying to a text strengthen neural pathways involved in self-regulation," Dr. Yip says.
5. Reflect after the fact (not just in the moment)"Post-event reflection strengthens future prefrontal activation and builds awareness over time," Dr. Yip shares.

1971 Rock Classic, Originally Resurging 29 Years Later, Became a Timeless Hollywood Anthem
More than five decades after its original release, Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” found a second life through Cameron Crowe’s 2000 film Almost Famous, turning the 1971 rock ballad into one of Hollywood’s most unforgettable music moments.
Written by Elton John and lyricist Bernie Taupin, “Tiny Dancer” first appeared on John’s 1971 album Madman Across the Water. The song was released as a single in 1972, but its six-minute running time made it difficult for radio stations to embrace, per Collider. It reached No. 41 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and was not released as a single in the United Kingdom at the time.
Still, the song slowly built a loyal following over the years. Its resurgence came nearly 29 years later when director Cameron Crowe used it in a now-famous scene from Almost Famous.
The film follows teenage music writer William Miller as he tours with fictional rock band Stillwater while writing for Rolling Stone magazine. During one emotional scene aboard the band’s tour bus, tension between the characters fades as they begin singing along to “Tiny Dancer” together.

Crowe described the sequence as “the soul of the movie.”
“I always wanted to feel that I was able to earn the song,” Crowe said in a 2013 interview for Elton John’s YouTube page. He also explained that the song “wrapped up a lot in 1973 in my heart.”
The scene became one of the defining moments of the film and introduced “Tiny Dancer” to a younger generation that may not have known the song during its original release.
While “Tiny Dancer” had already become a fan favorite among Elton John listeners, Almost Famous pushed the song into mainstream pop culture again.
According to reports, Crowe specifically wrote the song into the script because of its emotional connection to the story. He called Elton John’s music “emotionally authentic” and said the singer “feels like he’s talking directly to you.”
The soundtrack of Almost Famous became a major part of the movie’s identity. Released in 2000, the soundtrack later won the Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.
The film itself earned critical acclaim despite a disappointing box office run. It received four Academy Award nominations and won Best Original Screenplay. Critics later called it a cult classic, while Rotten Tomatoes recorded a 91% critic score and a 92% audience score for the film.
Music writers have since credited Almost Famous with helping “Tiny Dancer” evolve from a respected album track into a cultural anthem.
After the success of Almost Famous, “Tiny Dancer” continued to appear in films, on television and in pop culture references. The song later appeared in movies including Ted 2,Sherlock Gnomes, Love, Rosie, and Ballerina.
The song’s popularity also grew through streaming and new certifications. In the United States, “Tiny Dancer” reached 5× platinum certification from the RIAA in 2024. In the United Kingdom, it achieved 3× platinum certification.
In 2020, the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. A year earlier, Rolling Stone ranked it No. 47 on its revised list of the “500 Greatest Songs of All Time.”
Over the decades, “Tiny Dancer” has transformed from a modest chart performer into one of Elton John’s signature songs. The emotional connection created through Almost Famous helped secure its place as a timeless Hollywood anthem.

Rosenqvist announced the news in an emotional Instagram post, sharing numerous photos of his wife and him with their newborn daughter. The couple married in Sweden on Sept. 21, 2024.
"On May 4th, 2026 our little Stella was born and our hearts doubled in size. Mom and baby are both very healthy and dad has never been more proud. Ready for our next chapter as a family of 3 ❤️," he captioned the post.

"Normally I prefer to separate racing from my private life, but this is just such a big moment for us and an overwhelming feeling of love,” Rosenqvist said according to Felix Racing. “Both mom and baby are healthy and as for me, I’ve never been happier or more proud. We are so excited about this new chapter in life. It fills me with a sense of purpose and perspective that I genuinely believe will only do me good on the track as well.”
1934 Classic Hit Was the 1st 'Best Original Song' Oscar Winner 92 Years Ago
While the very first Academy Awards presentation was held in 1929, it wasn't the type of extravagant, televised affair we're used to seeing nowadays. And the ceremony didn't include all the awards that get handed out, either, like "Best Original Song," which wasn't added to the roster until five years later.
Considering close to a hundred years have passed since then, it's not too surprising that you've probably never heard the first tune to ever win that prestigious honor, though the dancing duo who starred in the movie are still iconic: Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
Beginning with 1933's Flying Down to Rio, Astaire and Rogers were famously paired in a total of 10 movies — but the first one to feature the stars in leading roles was The Gay Divorcee (1934).
An adaptation of a Broadway play called The Gay Divorce, the musical comedy tells the story of Guy Holden (Astaire), an American dancer vacationing in England who falls in love with Mimi Glossop (Rogers), who's trying to get a divorce from her geologist husband. Hilarity ensues, naturally, along with plenty of singing and dancing — and that's where the Oscar-winning song comes in.
While it wasn't included in the stage version, "The Continental" was written by Con Conrad and Herb Magidson for the movie. Rogers sings the introduction, which leads into a spectacular (and very long!) dance sequence involving a huge chorus dressed in black and white. The lyrics set the stage for the elaborate scene:
It's something daring, The Continental
A way of dancing that's really ultra-new
It's very subtle, The Continental
Because it doеs what you want it to do
It has a passion, The Continental
An invitation to moonlight and romance
It's quitе the fashion, The Continental
Because you tell of your love while you dance
Not only did "The Continental" win the first Oscar for "Best Original Song," but The Gay Divorcee nabbed nominations for Best Art Direction and Best Picture.
Ginger Rogers, Fred AstairePhoto by John Kobal Foundation on Getty Images
The year after they teamed up in The Gay Divorcee, Astaire and Rogers famously butted heads over the latter's costume while filming the hit movie Top Hat.
“Our emotions were high-pitched. He didn’t like my dress and I didn’t like being put to the test,” Rogers wrote in her autobiography, Ginger: My Story, per Vanity Fair. “In our rehearsal for camera, it’s true, some of the feathers did flutter and annoy Fred. He muttered to himself as he plucked the feathers off his tailcoat. Instead of ‘Cheek to Cheek,’ that song should have been called ‘Horn to Horns.’”
In his memoir, Steps in Time: An Autobiography, Astaire shared a more light-hearted recollection of the wardrobe malfunction.
“I never saw so many feathers in my life. It was like a snowstorm,” he wrote. “They were floating around like millions of moths. I had feathers in my eyes, my ears, my mouth, all over the front of my suit…the feathers kept flying, the wardrobe lady shook the dress and the sweepers swept them up…it got to be funny after a while. The news went all over the lot that there was a blizzard on the Top Hat set. The sightseers poured in on us.”
According to Astaire, “we laughed about that episode for weeks afterward. It was sort of a running gag with Ginger and me. I used to call her ‘Feathers!’”
Dollar General's $3 Kitchen Must-Have Will Keep Your Countertops Clean and Look Cheeky Doing It
Call me corny, but if there's a pun involved in a product, I'm probably buying it. Especially when it shows up on something completely ordinary, like a dish towel, coffee mug or spoon rest that suddenly has a tiny bit of personality. I don't know when kitchens became the unofficial headquarters for dad jokes and wordplay, but I fully support it. Life is serious enough. If my countertop can make me laugh while I'm stirring pasta sauce for the third night this week, even better.
That's one of the reasons I love country star Holly Williams' lifestyle line at Dollar General. Her stuff feels like it was designed by someone who genuinely appreciates those little cheerful touches around the house. It's cozy, cute and a little rustic. And the puns? Elite. The kind that makes you roll your eyes while immediately tossing the item into your cart anyway.

Holly Williams Printed White Ceramic Spoon Rest, $3 at Dollar GeneralDollar General
A plain kitchen accessory becomes way more fun when it's winking at you from the counter, and that's exactly the vibe of this Holly Williams ceramic spoon rest at Dollar General. It takes one of those super practical kitchen items you barely think about and gives it a cheeky little boost with the saying "Rest in grease," which'll probably make you smirk every time you're cooking. Personally, I love that.
It's cute without being over-the-top, useful without looking boring, and it adds a cozy bit of charm that makes a kitchen feel more like you. Plus, anything that helps keep sauce-covered spoons off the counter while also serving up a tiny joke deserves some credit.
A well-placed spoon rest means less wiping, less chaos and fewer mystery stains hardening beside the stove (the worst). It also gives your cooking utensils a designated landing spot mid-recipe, so you're not balancing them on plates or paper towels like some kind of kitchen acrobat.
Dollar General is brimming with cute household goods right about now. From elegant trays that will spruce up any surface to lovely embossed glass pitchers perfect for whipping up iced tea this summer. The retailer always seems to reinforce that you don't have to spend a fortune to have a stylish home, and I love that for all of us.

‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ Star Karen Allen, 74, Has Barely Changed 45 Years After the Iconic Film
Karen Allen has barely changed in the 45 years that have passed since she starred in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Allen, 74, who is known for roles in beloved films ranging from Raiders and Animal House to Manhattan and Scrooged, has only occasionally appeared onscreen in recent years. However, she's widely known in the Berkshires as a successful artist and owner of Karen Allen Fiber Arts, and is the subject of a tribute at the upcoming Berkshire International Film Festival (BIFF) for their 20th anniversary. In a rare interview with the Boston Globe, photos show Allen has barely changed in the 45 years since she tackled the role of Marion Ravenwood opposite Harrison Ford's iconic Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Memories of Raiders of the Lost ArkIn the role of Marion Ravenwood in 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark, Allen was as sharp as they come. When asked if she specifically looks for roles like that one, Allen said she also looks for complex characters, like her role as Laura in Paul Newman’s film of The Glass Menagerie.
"I look for [those traits], although I would use the word 'authentic' to describe them. Because Laura is certainly not a kick-ass character. I love fragile characters who are struggling with real issues. To me, Laura is as fascinating to me as Marion is, if not more so," she shared.
To get a moment of Marion Ravenwood's onscreen power, check out this flashback from Raiders below:
Looking Back on Animal HouseAllen had a small role as Katy in 1978's legendary film, National Lampoon's Animal House. Reflecting on the experience of making the movie, Allen has nothing but good memories.
"We all had a good time. That was probably the most pure fun film I ever worked on. We were all the same age and in the same boat. It was pure anarchy in the best sort of way," she recalled.

Martin Scorsese’s Daughter Claps Back at ‘A Cesspool of Disgusting Comments and Negativity’
Francesca Scorsese is no stranger to nepo baby comments. After all, when your father is iconic director Martin Scorsese, and you’re an actress, you almost have to expect some sort of backlash. But this time, critics took it too far, panning the 26-year-old’s looks. And while some celebs may sit back, Francesca has something to say about it.
The youngest daughter of the legendary filmmaker reposted an announcement that she was recently cast in Season 2 of Prime Video’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith. And it seems like just about everyone had something to say about it. While nepo baby comments are par for the course, trolls took things too far this time.
How Did Francesca Scorsese Clap Back Against Recent Criticism?Scorsese (Francesca, that is) called out her critics in a now-viral TikTok clip. The actress started by saying, “On my most recent repost about this new amazing role that I just got. It has some of the worst comments I have ever seen about me. I’ve gotten hate for years. Okay, it just comes with the territory. But this is something else.” She goes on to address the nep baby controversy, adding, “I know I have doors opened for me. Like I’m still trying to do the work, you know. I’m still going hard, and being passionate, and creating, and doing the work.”
The video continues, with Scorsese saying, “I think like if you go on people’s videos and you seek out negativity, you’re a very, very sad person.” Things take a turn as she gets graphic about some of the comments, “Comparing me to a fridge, or Miss Piggy, or saying I have a face for radio and that I’m incredibly ugly and fat.”
She continues, “I get it, I’m not the most beautiful girl in the world. I’m not the skinniest girl in the world. I’m chubby, I know it.” Scorsese points out that she’s not the victim of online hate, “This doesn’t even just go for this post anymore. Like, this is on all my videos. And it’s just making me so sad for not myself, it’s making me sad for other people. You know like, I’ve seen so many horrible comments on other girls’ posts, ‘cause looks are the only things that people can really pick on.”
While the We Are Who We Are actress is still on social media, she explains, “I deleted Twitter because I thought it was just a cesspool of disgusting comments and negativity. The things people were saying about me and other women and other people in general were just appalling. But I feel like TikTok is kind of becoming that place now. And it’s just upsetting.”
The rising star ends her clap back by revealing what it’s like growing up as the child of a celeb: “I’m fine, I’m strong, I’ve dealt with it for years and years. And I know I have a huge figure, my father, to live up to. And like that always overshadows me as a person. But like, I mean, come on, guys, I just want TikTok to be a better place. Like I feel like it used to be.”

Looks like Meghan is cream first, then jam when it comes to scones—which is how Queen Elizabeth II also preferred her to take scones, as her grandson Prince William mentioned in an interview a few days ago.
Apparently the question of whether you should put cream or jam on first can be a point of contention!
A proper cream tea or afternoon tea consists of tea, scones, clotted cream, and jam. But in the county of Devonshire the clotted cream is spread on the scone first and then topped with jam, while according to the Cornish method jam is followed by cream.

Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger Are Going To Be Grandparents Again
Ireland Baldwin, the daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, is expecting her second child.
Baldwin, 30, who chronicles her life as a mom to daughter Holland on Instagram, shared that she and boyfriendRAC (real name André Allen Anjos) are set to welcome their second child. In a sweet reel that shows the couple adding another onesie and baby bottle to their current repertoire, as well as sonogram photos, it's pretty clear they're thrilled to have another little one in the mix.

The Oscar-winning actress, 72, who is notoriously reclusive these days, is loving life as a grandmother to Ireland's daughter, Holland. In a photo carousel for Mother’s Day, Ireland shared a sweet video of Basinger in the second slide, jumping up and down on the trampoline with her granddaughter.
“love these moms and being one!” Baldwin captioned his photo carousel.

View this post on Instagram What Has Ireland Baldwin Said About Her Childhood?Ireland Baldwin has reflected on growing up as the daughter of the former Hollywood duo on her Substack page. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a very joyful childhood.
“I grew up without two parents in my home and no siblings to turn to. I had a lonely childhood at times, which is why I grew up feeling like I needed to win over certain people in my own family,” she wrote in a post titled “30, Flirty, and Surviving.” “For whatever reason, their validation and praise was meaningful to me.”
As she looked forward to turning 30, Baldwin said there was a “lot less weight” on her shoulders, largely because she let go of “the need to continue to carry my narcissistic, unreliable, addict family members who I thought I needed in my life.”
Baldwin didn’t note which family members she was speaking about here. However, she certainly has plenty of famous faces in her family. In addition to her famous parents, her cousin is Hailey Bieber, and her uncles are Billy Baldwin,Danny Baldwin, and Stephen Baldwin.
“Nothing was more freeing than finally realizing how poisonous these people are,” she continued. “So I inch into my thirties with an understanding that this is how you break these cycles. My daughter doesn’t have to know these people and I can protect her from them. I can do my very best to construct my own idea of a family, piece by piece. And show how a real family treats one another.”

Is there anything that signals the start of summer more than slipping on a pair of sandals for the first time of the year? Finally, your feet get a chance to breathe after months of strictly sneakers, boots and other close-toed shoes. But finding just the right pair of sandals can sometimes feel impossible when you have wide feet.
Finding cute sandals when you have wide feet can feel like a personal attack from the shoe industry. Either the straps cut off your circulation, your heel spills over the edge, or the only "comfortable" options look orthopedic in the least fun way possible. People with wide feet truly deserve financial compensation for this struggle. While that isn't likely to happen, at least you can head to Kohl's for a truly pretty pair of sandals that shoppers with wide feet are absolutely loving—and they're on sale.

There are three colorways available, so if you really love these sandals, you may find yourself stocking up on each. They come in the beige combo shown above, a blue combo and a black-and-white pattern as well.
But now, here's where the real talk comes in—the reviews from Kohl's shoppers are largely stellar.
"I have wide feet so I'm always happy when I find my size in a wide width," says a customer. "I have very wide feet with smaller bunions on both feet. I was very surprised at how comfortable the fit was and how nice the look on my feet. Very lightweight and comfortable."
Another person chimed in with similar accolades, titling their review, "Cute and comfortable sandal."
But a separate customer couldn't get over how well the sandals wore right out of the box.
"Great summer sandals," they wrote in their review. "So comfortable when I was out and running around my back was not bothered wearing new shoes. I know I'll have two pairs one in the black and the one in the beige. I ordered an 8 1/2 and the fit is perfect. I love the elastic band across the toes. These can accommodate a wider foot. I would definitely recommend."
Right now, Kohl's has these Clarks Cloudstepper sandals on sale for almost 36% off, so you'll want to pick up a pair before they go back to full price.

How a Hollywood Star Stopped Alix Earle From Missing Her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Photoshoot
Influencer Alix Earle's friendship with Glen Powell helped her land her high profile Sports Illustrated modelling job.
The 25-year-old TikToker told Nylon that The Running Man actor helped her get to the photoshoot in Botswana back in January after she was stuck following a star-studded New Year's break.
Earlier this year, according to People, Alix was with Glen, Nina Dobrev, Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh, coming back from St. Barts when the group found themselves stuck in Miami. To avoid the delays, the group ended up hopping on a plane to Atlanta, where she could easily get a plane to South Africa.
"I did research of like what other flights could I take to get to Botswana? There was just none for the next few days. So I was like panicking. So Glen was like, 'Okay, me, you and my dog can fly to Atlanta,' and then that's how we got there," the model and influencer with over 14 million followers explained.
The group allegedly spent New Year’s in St. Barts on a $360M yacht, which has a helipad, a spa with cryotherapy, a pool, multiple jacuzzis, fire pits, a gym, a cinema, a nightclub, and an outdoor cinema. The yacht was reportedly owned by billionaire businessman Shahid Khan, who is known for owning the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars.
Powell wasn't just a useful contact for a flight; he also provided emotional support during the stressful time. "Our flight [experienced] so much turbulence. I was freaking out and so scared, but he was like, 'Don't worry,'" she said about the Top Gun: Maverick star.
Alix hinted at these troubles when posting her raunchy shoot on Instagram "At the time we shot I was going through a lot emotionally and getting to travel across the world and find such a grounding/peaceful feeling was somehow so healing. On the way back from this trip I traveled alone, sat at lunch with strangers, and it was such a beautiful way to start the year."
View this post on InstagramAlix appeared in a safari-themed photoshoot for Sports Illustrated this year after making her debut as the franchise's first digical cover star in 2024 and then in print the year after. In the series of images, she wore a range of skimpy safari-themed outfits and bikinis and posed alongside wild animals.
“I’ve learned to push myself out of my comfort zone — in fact, I’d say that getting uncomfortable is how you start feeling more comfortable,” the Dancing with the Stars alum told the magazine, per Page Six.
Despite it being her third shoot for the outlet, Alix admitted she still felt nervous posing, likely not helped by the stressful travel delays. “I doubt myself, I worry … I’m human,” she said.

Back in 2024, Crowe weighed about 50 pounds more. In November, he made an appearance on the popularJoe Rogan Experience podcast and revealed how he managed to drop the extra pounds.
“I was 126 kilos when I finished Nuremberg,” Crowe told Rogan about his role as Hermann Göring in the 2025 film. “I’m 100.9 now.”
Crowe explained that in addition to focusing on diet and exercise, he credits a lot of the reason he dropped weight to the fact that Rogan introduced him to a platform called Ways2Well. According to its website, Ways2Well is a healthcare platform that combines everything from bloodwork and hormone optimization to stem cell therapy and peptide therapy.
“I’m not really across the science, but the real benefit I’m getting from these into my shoulders, my knees, and also IVs, is that it’s calmed down my body’s inflammation,” Crowe said, adding that he has years of sports injuries and arthritis.
What's Next for Russell Crowe?Last week, Variety announced that Crowe will travel to Italy’s Taormina Film Festival, which will host the world premiere of his action thriller, Bear Country. Iconic 1984 Rock Anthem Has One of the Most Misunderstood Meanings in Music History
In 1981, American sing-songwriter Bruce Springsteenwrote a song for a movie Paul Schrader was considering making. After several demos and eventually a 1982 recording with the E Street Band, the studio recording of the song "Born in the USA" was, well, born.
The song has been widely misinterpreted, even going so far as being labeled as one of the most misunderstood songs in music history.
"Born In The USA" tells the story of a Vietnam War veteran who comes home and faces unemployment, no support from the government, and no resources to make his way. The lyrics depict how he can't understand how his country has left him behind despite him going to foreign land for said country, and how he feels utterly left behind by the nation he fought to represent.
Because of the heavy hitting synthesizer, the catchy, arena-rock beat, and chorus that feels patriotic, many people and listeners have misunderstood the point behind the track. Most famously, Ronald Raegan used the song in his 1984 Presidential campaign saying:
"America's future rests in a thousand dreams inside your hearts; it rests in the message of hope in the songs of a man so many young Americans admire: New Jersey's own Bruce Springsteen. And helping you make those dreams come true is what this job of mine is all about."
Springsteen did not endorse or back Raegan as a candidate.
Especially because of the campaign usage, most listeners misinterpret Springsteen's song to being somewhat of nationalistic anthem, even though the chorus is deeply meant to be cutting and ironic. Cash Box even (incorrectly) said the song was a "straight-ahead anthem that celebrates America’s traditional values and the common man."
"Born In The USA" was the opening number from 1984 to 1985 on Springsteen's tour of the same name. Rolling Stone listed it as one of their "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" and it was ranked as one of the Songs of the Century by the Recording Industry Association of America.
