Target's New Policy Is Causing Quite a Stir—Here’s What You Need to Know

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 1:09pm

Target has been working on finding ways to win back shoppers, though its latest dress code policy is causing quite a stir.

As part of its image refresh, the retailer is rolling out a stricter and more standardized dress code policy for employees, and while there's no direct impact on customers, plenty have had a lot to say about it.

"Target is focused on getting back to growth, with clear strategic priorities that include elevating the guest experience," company spokesperson Brian Harper-Tibaldo said in a statement. "As part of that focus, we’re continuing to create a more consistent, recognizable in-store experience that delights our guests and helps them easily connect with our team."

In addition to revamping stores and floor plans (literally, the parking lot of our local Super Target is a construction zone), the updated dress code policy requires employees to wear any sleeved red shirt (solid or patterned), the option of a company-provided red vest and minimal non-Target logos (small logos of other brands are acceptable), with no large graphics or writing.

For bottoms, the requirement is for blue denim or khaki pants, shorts or skirts. The previous policy did not require a specific denim color, and it was also much more relaxed about the color and shades of the tops—with maroon and burgundy no longer allowed.

One of the biggest changes is no shorts for team leaders in an effort to lean into "professionalism."

Employees will get one free red shirt and a one-time 50% off coupon for a denim purchase, per the Minneapolis-bsed retailer.

Changes are set to go into effect this summer in July.

The move comes as part of Target's previously announced $2 billion multi-year-strategy, described as the 'largest store transformation in decades,' which puts a focus on busy families.

According to the policy update, the move is necessary to "create a more visible and recognizable presence across the store and help guests quickly and confidently identify team members."

However, employees and shoppers didn't seem convinced, with many speaking out on Reddit and emphasizing that this was never a core issue to begin with.

"Doing everything except actually fixing the numerous problems Target has," one pointed out in the comments, as another emphasized, "I am team black pants. Target isn’t struggling because of the color of TM’s pants. Khaki pants won’t increase visibility when payroll doesn’t allow for adequate staffing."

Another made the point, "When you’re high on the ladder you often forget the lowest rung. A Target battalion in their same color red shirts and khakis/jeans is not going to drive sales or recover a lost segment of shoppers. While I have no gripes, spending this much time on dress code is a waste of time and will not improve moral on the TM side nor customer satisfaction on the guest side."

"Also hard agree on the corporate blindness to the real issues. Give us more hours and equipment that actually works, and I don't mean more AI baloney. It's not hard!!" someone else chimed in.

"I’m sorry, is my red vest with the f---ing target logo, name tag, zebra and walkie on my hip not enough of an indicator that I’m a TM?" one employee questioned.

Another replied, "Guests have never had any problems realizing I’m a Target worker when I’m wearing my dark red shirts! I get stopped every 5 minutes when doing tasks just to help one of them."

Many took issue with the no shorts, stating, "No shorts for TL+ leaders is crazy. We all are working at store level. WE dont need to look professional when we are busting our a-- off trying to run the store!" and "It gets very hot during the summer, and there is no AC. We arent allowed to have fans anywhere in the building besides upstairs. I feel like thats kinda unfair."

The retailer has been trying to find its footing ever since rolling back its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives early last year, additionally putting an end to DEI goals and its “Racial Equity Action & Change” (REACH) program. The backlash and boycotts that followed, along with additional tariffs, caused a decline in sales and foot traffic.

At the end of 2025, Target began rolling out the 10-4 policy, which encourages staff to smile, greet and chat with customers, noting that the focus on customer service is to help shoppers feel appreciated, though this too was met with plenty of complaints from employees and customers alike.

This ‘90s Grammy Winner Just Wished Her Son a Happy Birthday in the Sweetest Way

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 1:06pm

Grammy Award-winning R&B singer Toni Braxton made a name for herself in the ‘90s with hits like ‘Un-Break My Heart.” But she’s more than an iconic performer. The mega-talented musical celeb is also a mom. And in a poignant Instagram post, Braxton recently wished her son, Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis, a happy 23rd birthday.

Who are Toni Braxton’s children?

Braxton has two children—Denim Cole Braxton-Lewis (born December 2001) and Diezel (born March 2003). She shares both sons with ex-husband musician Keri Lewis. Eldest son Denim studied sports management and has modeled. According to an Instagram post, he graduated from college in 2025. Braxton gushed over her son’s accomplishment, writing, “My firstborn is officially a college graduate! Words can’t even express how proud I am of you! I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll do!”

Her younger son, Diezel, studied film at Howard University and graduated in May, 2025. Braxton posted an applause-filled Instagram clip of her son wearing his cap and gown, adding, “I got the best Mother’s Day gift!”

What has the Grammy Award-winning singer said about motherhood?

Being a Grammy winner and a parent isn’t easy. For that matter, working and parenting at the same time isn’t easy. But Braxton manages to do it all. Way back in 2006 (when her kiddos were five and two), she told Today, “It’s hard, I can’t deny it, ‘cause I’m a real hands-on mom, really involved with my kids and their day-to-day activities.”

In 2023, she spoke about her family to fellow celeb mom/singer Jennifer Hudson on The Jennifer Hudson Show, saying, “I’m really excited and proud about them…they’re good kids.”

What did Toni Braxton just post on Instagram?

In her recent post, Braxton wished her younger son a happy birthday in the caption, also writing, “Being your mother is one of the greatest gifts I could have ever received. You have changed my life in the best way, and I am so proud of the young man you are and all that you’ve achieved.”

The celeb parent also included a carousel of moving photos, featuring a precious black-and-white shot of herself holding young Diezel and plenty of mommy-son pics.

Braxton continued her post, “I know you are destined for amazing things, and I cannot wait to watch all of your dreams come true, especially the day I get to sit in a theater and watch the incredible films you create. Love you always.” Aww!

Legendary Actress Katharine Hepburn’s Breathtaking New York Home Is For Sale—Take a Look

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 1:05pm

Some homesfeel iconic the moment you see them—like they were always meant for someone larger than life. Even years later, long after their famous owners have moved on, there's still this lingering sense of presence. The kind of place where you can almost picture the conversations that filled the rooms, the daily routines, and the unmistakable energy of someone who left their mark not just on the world, but on the space itself.

That's especially true when it comes to someone like Katharine Hepburn. Her former New York home isn't just another beautiful property hitting the market—it feels like a snapshot of a life lived boldly and unapologetically. The details, architecture and atmosphere all carry a kind of understated elegance that never goes out of style.

It's the kind of home that reminds you great design isn't just about trends; it's about character. And some spaces hold onto that character in a way that feels almost timeless.

View this post on Instagram

Hepburn's former home sits at 244 East 49th Street and features four bedrooms, three bathrooms and one smaller partial bathroom. But what's even more spectacular, and certainly fitting of a glamorous legend, is the fact that the home also has six (yes, six!) fireplaces, a garden, a Juliette balcony, a wet bar, a wine cellar and a library, among other stunning amenities.

In fact, all four floors of the townhome exude a kind of charm and sophistication that feels classic and modern all at the same time.

How Long Did Hepburn Own This New York Home?

The actress lived at her East 49th Street abode for 60 years, according to Mansion Global. She initially purchased it in the 1930s, and enjoyed the space until her death in 2003 at the age of 96. In 2004, Hepburn's estate sold the townhome to its current owner.

The property has been been listed several times over the past few years at a higher price point above $7M, but the seller failed to reach a deal. Now, at $6.195M, it might be the right price to find its new owner. And hopefully it will be someone who appreciates the luxurious abode just as much as Hepburn did.

There are quite a few recently listed homes with celebrity ties on the market, like Lisa Marie Presley's Hawaiian retreat and Drew Barrymore's sprawling estate in New York's Westchester County.

Actress Laverne Cox Says Visibility Isn’t Enough on Trans Day of Visibility

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 1:04pm

In her Transgender Day of Visibility repost, actress Laverne Cox reiterated a message that feels both urgent and clarifying: Visibility alone isn't enough. It's the quality of that visibility that matters.

Cox's rise in mainstream media helped shift who gets seen—and how. But in this repost—originally posted by nonbinary digital creator, Lelaina Faye, who speaks in the reel—Cox pushes the conversation further, challenging the assumption that simply being visible equates to progress.

Visibility, the post suggests, can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, it affirms existence, fosters community, and offers representation for those who rarely see themselves reflected back. On the other hand, however, not all visibility is empowering. Some forms can be exploitative, tokenistic, or even dangerous—especially when trans people are hyper-visible without being protected, respected, or understood.

"'Visibility' isn't neutral," the post reads. "It depends on who's telling the story—and why. A few people speaking up helps. We need more. If you're not trans, this isn't background noise. Pay attention to who benefits from the version of us you're being shown. And when someone starts being weird about us? Say something."

View this post on Instagram

Cox has long emphasized that increased attention on trans lives doesn't automatically translate into safety, equity, or opportunity. In fact, greater visibility can sometimes make trans people more vulnerable to scrutiny, discrimination, and violence—particularly for those at the intersections of race and class.

She has spoken openly about the conversation consistently being "on the oppressor's terms," and argues that the policies and bans surrounding trans rights have never been about protecting women or children because, if they were, the legal system would prosecute the perpetrators in the Epstein files.

"We have to tell the truth about what is going on right now in the United States of America—it is not right, it is not normal, and we should not allow it to be normalized," she said in her recent GLAAD Awards speech. "Experts are saying that we are on our way to a genocide of trans Americans. What we've seen over the last several years is a strategic, well-funded, calculated effort to dehumanize—systematically dehumanize—transgender people. To make us subhuman in the ways that they speak about us… [It's] designed so that you don't see us as people. You see us as some kind of idea that is meant to come and take something from you."

She emphasizes the criticality of taking back the narrative surrounding the trans community.

View this post on Instagram

To that end, the repost reframes visibility as a starting point, not the goal. What matters is whether representation is nuanced, humanizing, and rooted in dignity instead of stereotypes or sensationalism. It also matters who gets to be visible. Too often, media platforms uplift only a narrow slice of the trans community, leaving the most marginalized voices unheard.

Ultimately, Faye and Cox call for a shift from passive visibility to active support: policies that protect trans rights, storytelling that reflects real complexity, and cultural engagement that goes beyond surface-level inclusion.

In a media landscape that often celebrates representation as progress, the message is a reminder that visibility without intention can (and too often does) fall short. Being seen is powerful. But being seen accurately and fully is what truly moves the needle.

The Perfume Mistake Most People Make Without Realizing It

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 1:03pm

We learn fragrance application by watching other people—perfume commercials (Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds, anyone?), our mothers getting ready, that gorgeous, elegant woman at the department store counter. The problem? Most of what we've absorbed is either outdated, based on how things look rather than how they actually work, or just plain wrong. Womp-womp. And because these mistakes are so widespread, nobody realizes they're making them. You think you're applying perfume correctly because everyone does it the same way. Right?

Well, the truth is that fragrance is chemistry. Small errors in how you apply, store or wear it can dramatically change how it smells and how long it lasts. What seems like a “not big deal” habit—something you do without thinking for two seconds while getting ready—can be the difference between your perfume lasting eight hours or fading within two. And some mistakes actually damage the fragrance itself, altering the scent permanently so it never smells the way the perfumer intended.

We talked to a fragrance expert about the most common mistakes people make and what to do instead. Some of these might surprise you!

The #1 Most Common Perfume Mistake People Make, According to a Fragrance Expert

It's something you've probably seen in every perfume commercial—and it's completely wrong.

Savannah Britt, founder of The Fragrance Affair, identifies the culprit immediately: "The biggest fragrance mistake people make without realizing would be applying the perfume to their wrists and rubbing their wrists together after," she tells Parade. "You're not supposed to rub your perfume in because rubbing the perfume breaks down its molecules and as a result the scent won't be as potent and the notes as fragrant."

This is such a common move that it feels instinctive. But every time you rub your wrists together, you're literally crushing the fragrance before it has a chance to develop properly on your skin.

3 Other Common Fragrance Mistakes To Avoid1. Improper storage

Where you store your bottles matters more than you think.

Bathroom storage is one of the biggest mistakes people make. "Avoid storing your perfumes in the bathroom. Steam and heat can alter the scent and accelerate evaporation," Britt warns. That pretty tray on your bathroom counter? Move it to your dresser or closet where temperature and humidity stay consistent.

2. Impatience

Impatience is another issue.

"Don't judge a scent by its first sniff. Believe it or not, perfumes often get better with time," Britt explains. "Maceration is a process when a perfume's additives age, allowing the perfume's scent to mature and deepen."

That bottle you dismissed after one spray might smell completely different in a few weeks.

3. Disregarding the season

Seasonal matching matters too.

"Keep it light and citrusy for the day or summer, but save those heavy, woody scents for the cold and evening," Britt advises. The truth is, heat and humidity can make perfume "louder," so a deep scent that feels cozy at night can easily become suffocating in the sun.

Strategic application makes all the difference. First off, timing matters. "Always spray your perfume onto freshly moisturized skin," Britt recommends. Hydrated skin holds fragrance better and helps it project properly.

Think about proximity and interaction. "Don't forget to spray the back of your neck," she adds. "When people lean in for hugs they'll smell the scent accords instantly." It's a more intimate placement than the front of your neck or wrists.

Portability solves the reapplication problem. "Travel size bottles of my favorite perfumes is my cheat code," Britt shares. "It makes it easy to take my scents on the go." That way, you can refresh throughout the day without carrying full-size bottles.

1956 Classic Hit Ranked Among ‘Best Spring Songs’ of All Time Became a Beloved Romance Anthem

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 12:52pm

Spring is here! Winter has taken its final bow, and with consistently warmer temperatures setting in after a brutally cold season, we're beyond thrilled to enjoy fresh blooms and longer, sunny days (even if it does come with a little rain). To help put us in a cheery mood, we're looking forward to a playlist of tunes with "good vibes" written all over it.

Billboard compiled the ultimate collection of songs to help usher in the new season, and it’s bound to make the perfect soundtrack for those spring cleaning days up ahead, strawberry picking, or bike rides through the park. The iconic music publication’s staff-curated roundup includes 15 of the “Best Songs About Spring Showers, Flowers & Everything in Between,” listed in no particular order. Appropriately, Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong's jazz ballad, "April in Paris," made the cut of quintessential spring staples.

This year, the 1956 classic celebrates its 70th anniversary, and even seven decades after its release, it remains a timeless anthem. The track is dreamy and nostalgic, capturing the feeling of falling in love in a romantic setting while surrounded by the beauty of Paris in springtime.

I never knew the charm of spring / I never met it face to face / I never knew my heart could sing / I never missed a warm embrace / Till April in Paris, chestnuts in blossom / Holiday tables under the trees / April in Paris, this is a feeling / That no one can ever reprise,” the legendary musicians express.

Released in October 1956 as part of the album Ella and Louis, the charming duet was originally written by Vernon Duke and Yip Harburg for the Broadway musical Walk a Little Faster. A live version of the iconic six-and-a-half-minute rendition was also recorded in July 1957 at the Newport Jazz Festival and released two years later.

NASA Is Sending Astronauts to the Moon for the First Time in 54 Years — Here's How to Watch

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 12:45pm

History is being made tomorrow and you won't want to miss it.

NASA's Artemis II mission lifts off at 6:24 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 1 from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and you can watch every second of it live on NASA's official YouTube channel, with coverage beginning at 12:50 p.m. ET. There are three available launch windows across April 1, 2, and 3, with Wednesday carrying an 80 percent chance of favorable weather. If the April 1 window holds, it's a go.

So what exactly are we watching? For the first time since Apollo 17 in 1972, NASA is sending a crewed mission toward the moon. The four astronauts aboard will spend 10 days in space, completing two loops around Earth before heading toward the moon—not to land, but to orbit it, testing the technologies NASA needs for future surface missions and, eventually, Mars. The crew will travel more than 280,000 miles from Earth, surpassing the record set by Apollo 13 in 1970.

The mission was originally scheduled for February but was delayed following a hydrogen leak and pressurization issue. NASA also has its sights set on putting boots on the lunar surface by 2028 with Artemis IV.

Commander Reid Wiseman is set to lead the team alongside pilot Victor Glover, mission specialist Christina Koch, and Canadian mission specialist Jeremy Hansen. Hansen will be the first Canadian, Koch the first woman, and Glover the first Black astronaut to travel to deep space. "It's about human history," Glover said at a March 27 press conference. "It's the story of humanity, not Black history, not women's history, but that it becomes human history."

The crew will also be traveling with a stuffed mascot named Rise, a zero-gravity indicator designed by a second-grader from Mountain View, California. The mascot will float the moment they reach space.

If the April 1 launch goes ahead as planned, the crew splashes down in the Pacific Ocean off San Diego on April 10.

West Wilson & Kyle Cooke Have Addressed the Rumors

People magazine reported that the Batula-and-Wilson rumors began circulating in March 2026. Batula and her now-estranged husband, Summer House star Kyle Cooke, announced their separation in January 2026, per People magazine. In addition, Wilson had a romance with his Summer House castmate and Batula's friend, Ciara Miller, for a few months before calling it quits in December 2023.

The publication reported that Wilson addressed the rumors that he wasn't just friends with Batula during the March 24 episode of Watch What Happens Live, hosted by Cohen. Wilson stated that Batula was "a friend."

"That's a very important person to me, and I care about her a lot," said Wilson during the March 24 episode.

Wilson also said that he and Batula "were just hanging out in New York" because he wanted "to show her the streets a little bit."

According to People magazine, Cooke said he didn't believe the rumors during the March 10 episode of Watch What Happens Live. However, he suggested that he would be concerned for Miller on the chance he was proven wrong.

"It would certainly catch me by surprise and it would feel a little reckless. And I think I'd probably be the last person people would be worried about. I think Ciara would probably have something to say," said the 43-year-old in the Watch What Happens Live interview.

He clarified that he would give his blessing if Batula found happiness in a potential relationship with Wilson, who joined the Summer House cast during season 8.

"If it made Amanda happy, I think I just would have to vote yay," said Cooke, who wed Batula in 2021.

For history and culture, there’s the Durham Museum, housed in a beautifully preserved Art Deco train station. Exhibits highlight regional history and artifacts, bringing Omaha’s past to life. The city also boasts the Joslyn Art Museum, which houses works by European masters and American painters, making it a must‑visit for art lovers.

Where to Eat, Drink, and Experience Local Flavor

No travel story is complete without mentioning food, and Omaha has its share of delicious culinary traditions. The city is known for high-quality steak, with spots like Gorat’s Steak House standing out as a classic institution. Founded in 1944 and famously frequented by billionaire investor Warren Buffett, Gorat’s still pulls diners for its thick T-bone steaks and old-school charm.

If steak isn’t your thing, Omaha’s dining scene also offers creative gastropubs, international cuisine, and farm-to-table restaurants tucked into neighborhood enclaves. Pair that with a local brew or regional wine, and you have a culinary experience that complements your outdoor and cultural explorations.

How to Experience Omaha as a Traveler

Visiting Omaha feels like uncovering a well-kept secret. It’s energetic without being overwhelming, and it rewards curiosity in a way few cities do. Whether you’re there for the zoo, the gardens, the art, or the food, Omaha manages to mix big-city culture with a warm, approachable Midwestern vibe.

Here are a few travel tips for making the most of your trip:

  • Plan a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. Omaha’s seasons can be varied, so having options like gardens and museums makes the itinerary flexible.
  • Give yourself time to stroll. The best experiences in Omaha are the ones you stumble upon, a tucked-away gallery, a shaded park bench, a café with pastries worth lingering over.
  • Eat locally and often. Nebraska beef is famous for a reason, and Omaha’s chefs know how to dress it well.

In the end, Omaha proves that you don’t need a coastal skyline or a mountain backdrop to be a world-class travel destination. Sometimes, you just need a world-class zoo, rich cultural hubs, lush gardens, and a great steak dinner to make a city unforgettable.

Blockbuster Film and Iconic Theme Song = Roaring Success

The success of Ghostbusters as a blockbuster film has long gone hand-in-hand with the chart-topping theme song, as the rare combo made them both a cultural phenomenon for decades after its June 1984 release.

The supernatural comedy—about a team of scientists who get fired and decide to open up a ghost-busting business, who then "stumble upon a gateway to another dimension" that releases evil upon the city and requires them to save New York from complete destruction—became one of the biggest films of the year, grossing over $290 million worldwide.

In addition to the big names attached to the project, the theme song of the same name by Ray Parker Jr. became a massive hit with its catchy and iconic hook.

It reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, staying there for three weeks, and even scored a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. The single also sees spikes in popularity and airtime every Halloween.

Not only was it a defining '80s blockbuster, it spawed a long-lasting legacy with several sequels and spinoffs, including the most recent release in 2024, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

So, it only makes sense to honor both the film on its 42 anniversary and the iconic music that added to its success and longevity with a live concert experience.

Who ya gunna call to join you for this unique event?

'Daredevil: Born Again' Just Dropped Two Episodes at Once, Here's Why and What to Watch For

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 12:11pm

Marvel fans have been counting down since last Tuesday, and the wait is over. Episodes 2 and 3 of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 are dropping simultaneously on Disney+ at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 31. It's an unusual double release for a show that will otherwise be rolling out episodes one at a time, and the reason is at least partly practical. The two-episode drop helps clear the schedule for The Punisher: One Last Kill, a Marvel special presentation featuring Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle, due on May 12.

The two new installments are titled 'Shoot the Moon' and 'The Scales & the Sword.' Each runs between 50 and 60 minutes. After tonight, the season returns to its weekly pace, with new episodes landing every Tuesday through the May 5 finale.

For viewers who need a quick catch-up: Season 2 finds Mayor Wilson Fisk with a tightened grip on New York City, hunting down the vigilante known as Daredevil while Matt Murdock works in the shadows to build a resistance against Fisk's Anti-Vigilante Task Force. It's a darker, more focused chapter than the first season, and critics have noticed.

Related: Even Daredevil's Showrunner Finds the Real-World Parallels 'Chilling'

Season 2 currently holds a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 69 reviews — well above the 87% the first season received in 2025, and the second-highest rating of any live-action MCU series on Disney+. Reviewers have praised the show's grittier tone, stronger performances, and a narrative confidence that feels much closer in spirit to the original Netflixrun.

One of the biggest draws this season is the return of a familiar face from that Netflix era. Krysten Ritter is reprising her role as Jessica Jones, joining Matt Murdock, Karen Page, and Detective Cherry as part of the resistance against Kingpin. It's a reunion fans of the original Defenders lineup have been hoping for, and early audience response has been enthusiastic.

The season also confirms that Born Again Season 3 is already in production, with filming having begun in March 2026 and a target release of March 2027. So for viewers just catching up now, there's plenty more of this story still to come.

Daredevil: Born Again is available on both Disney+ and Hulu.

Brian Wilson’s Daughter Carnie Shares Heartbreaking Memory of Her Dad: ‘Crying Because I Know He’s Here’

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 12:00pm

Brian Wilson, the Beach Boys musical legend, is being honored by his beloved daughter, Carnie Wilson.

Carnie, 57, who skyrocketed to fame as a singer with Wilson Phillips, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a touching throwback photo of her father, known as one of the most talented musicians of the 20th century.

"On the flower power cruise having breakfast, looking out at the sea, this song came on the speakers... I'm crying because I know he's here with me," Carnie wrote on the photo, which she captioned "Daddy❤️🌈❤️." In the picture, she's presenting her father, who died in 2025 at age 82, with a chocolate cake as he sits back in a leather chair.

Carnie Wilson's Health Battles

Back in September, Wilson opened up about some of her own health struggles. As she sat in her car, the singer spoke candidly with followers as she detailed the “intense” recovery that followed swelling and high blood pressure.

“OK, the official update. My daughter’s getting a prescription for me right now, but I am out of the hospital,” Wilson, 57, shared in a video. “I had some swelling in the legs that kept getting worse. Needed to go back into the hospital because of high blood pressure. It was very scary, but after a couple of days there, we changed the meds. And the swelling has gone down and, like, almost gone.”

Earlier that month, Wilson shared with followers that she was having her lap band, which she had put in in 2012, removed.

“I am finally over this hump, recovering from my lap-band surgery, lap-band removal,” Wilson had shared.

Following the harrowing experience, Wilson also noted that “they actually found an obstruction with food inside the lap band.”

Despite the nightmare of the situation, Wilson was nothing but grateful for the staff of the hospital who were with her every step of the way, and said she is “just so, so lucky to have gotten through this.”

“It really put a new perspective on some health things for me,” said Wilson. “So I’m recovering. It’s going great, and I love you guys and I appreciate if anybody had said any prayers or anything, so thank you and … on the mend!”

What is Carnie Wilson's Health and Wellness Regimen?

Wilson is more dialed into health and wellness than ever. During a previous interview with Fox News Digital, she explained that she’s finally found peace with her diet.

“It’s a balance every day. It’s not perfect. I’m just trying not to eat sugar. I have a little tiny bit, like in a granola bar, maybe, but I find that it affects my mood. It affects my energy level,” she said. “So, eating healthier. It’s all about taking care of myself and I think that it’s connected, you know? What I put in my mouth makes a big difference. If I eat an apple, I feel better. If I eat sugar, I don’t feel good. So it really makes a difference. It’s how I take care of myself.”

She also made it clear that while she’s fine with other people using GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic, she’s not okay with using them herself.

“That scares me. I won’t do it. I just had a friend who was hospitalized, so it’s not going to happen for me,” she shared.

‘Age of Attraction’: Will the Netflix Series Return for Season 2?

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 12:00pm

Netflix released a show questioning if love can stand the test of a large age gap with Age of Attraction. Singles from 22 to 60 years old dated at a retreat, but they weren't allowed to reveal their ages.

Once two people commit to each other in the promise room, they exchange rings and reveal their ages. They live together, meet each other's family and friends, and in the finale decide if they'll leave together or break up. Will the reality show return for a second season?

Age of Attraction Is Renewed for Season 2

Netflix announced the new experiment will return for another season on March 31. It's unknown if season 2 will have eight episodes or more. The first season of Love Is Blind had 11 episodes then a reunion. Season 10 had 12 episodes before the reunion.

Related: ‘Age of Attraction’ Theresa and John: Where Are They Now?

"We love concepts that are impossible to look away from and Age of Attraction nailed that from day one," Jennifer O’Connell & Rebecca Quinn, Executive Producers & Co-Founders of Velvet Hammer Media, said in the announcement. "It’s messy, it’s real and that’s what makes it fun to watch. Huge thanks to Netflix for embracing this dating experiment with us. The response has been incredible, and we're excited to push it even further in Season 2."

Season 1's reunion won't be on Netflix. Hosts Nick Viall and Natalie Joy will conduct it on their podcast, The Viall Files on April 1. They previously released interviews with cast members throughout the season. The couple is known for their reality TV interviews.

Everyone from the main couples will be there except for Pfeiffer Hill. The 23-year-old student committed to Derrick Fleming. He'll reveal what happened between them after the season.

Target's 'Beautiful' Storage Solution Is the Best Money You'll Spend on Organizing Your Space

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 11:55am

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

In 2026, the shift toward warm minimalism has redefined how we view storage, moving away from utilitarian plastic bins toward high-quality materials that double as decorative accents. The goal for many homeowners is to find versatile solutions that can anchor a room's design while discreetly tucking away everyday essentials like blankets, magazines or tech access. When a storage piece offers a blend of rich textures and structural elegance, it transforms a simple chore into a curated styling opportunity.

Creating a sanctuary vibe within your living space requires a delicate balance of neutral tones and metallic pops. Interior designers frequently suggest utilizing "hidden storage" strategies to prevent open shelving or coffee tables from feeling overwhelmed by daily life. By integrating pieces with sophisticated finishes—such as soft cream tones or aged gold accents—you can create a sense of cohesive luxury throughout your bedroom, office or lounge.

Danica McKellar Celebrates 'The Wonder Years' Co-Star's 50th Birthday With Then-and-Now Pics

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 11:55am

It's been 33 years since The Wonder Years ended its run on ABC, but the cast has remained close. In recent years, they have come together several times to celebrate the pivotal coming-of-age sitcom, with Danica McKellarand Josh Saviano's most recent reunion happening at the Fanboy Expo in 2024.

For Saviano's 50th birthday, McKellar made sure to honor the guy who played Paul Pfeiffer with a montage of photos that started on The Wonder Years set and showed the pair plus many of their co-stars, including Fred Savage, Jason Hervey, Dan Lauria, and Alley Mills, as they met up over the years.

The first slide in the set of five showed Saviano with thick, black plastic-framed glasses and braces as he embraced McKellar in a promo pic, alongside another photo of the pair from two years ago. She noted the age contrast, with 36 years passing between the photos.

In the caption, she wrote, "Happy 50th BIRTHDAY to my Wonder Years co-star  @joshsaviano! My, how far we've come... We met as pre-teens and now we're in our 50's! 😋 Yes, Josh played the best friend Paul Pfeiffer, and no, he is not also Marilyn Manson. (Anybody else remember that rumor??) 😁 Grateful to have stayed in touch throughout the years. Here's to the next 50, my friend!!"

View this post on Instagram

Within minutes, Saviano saw and responded to the birthday wishes, writing, "Thanks Danica, for the birthday wishes and the lifetime of friendship and creative collaboration. Love you ❤️"

Hervey also chimed in, writing, "Joshy boy!!!!!!! Love you butthead ;) jokes aside, you’re a great man and a good friend- HBD BUDDY!!!"

The comments section quickly filled with birthday wishes for Saviano, but many weighed in on those Marilyn Manson rumors that Saviano, now a corporate lawyer, said started around 1994, when The Wonder Years was already over, and internet forums started to become popular.

"I love how that rumor made it all the way back to you guys!" one fan wrote.

Another feigned shock, writing, "Woah! You know Marilyn Manson!?!?!?"

"50 years later, still not Marilyn Manson," another mused.

What's funny about that wild rumor is that Saviano admitted it was McKellar who first told him about it. At the time, he didn't even know who the shock rocker was.

Popular Vacation Destination Full of Free Museums and Fun Events Named Best Place to Retire in U.S.—and No, It's Not Florida

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 11:53am

They say when you live somewhere you love, you'll never need a vacation. Apparently, that's especially true for retirees who opt to settle down in one popular vacation spot that was just named the top spot to retire in the U.S.

While there are retirement-specific factors at play here (like how your retirement income is doled out), one of the more pressing reasons this place ended up on the list has to do with how you'll be able to fill your days once you're no longer punching the clock.

View this post on Instagram Washington D.C. Named Best Place to Retire in the U.S.

Seniorly released its annual list of the best and worst states to retire in the U.S., and 2025 came with a shakeup that sees one of the country's favorite retirement destinations bumped in favor of some surprising new names. According to the report, which took a look at important retirement factors that include things like healthcare costs, retirement savings, and access to a broader community. From there, the company put together a list of the top five retirement spots, which include:

  • Washington D.C.
  • Montana
  • Wyoming
  • Alaska
  • Pennsylvania

Meanwhile, New Jersey was named the worst state to retire due to affordability and access to recreational options. And while I'm a shocked as anyone that Florida is no longer on the lead (according to the report, it's actually dropped down to 18th place due to healthcare concerns), I can see why D.C. ranked so highly, especially when the report says, D.C. "is the best place to retire due to its high monthly Supplemental Security payment ($1,094) and spending on long-term care, as well as the availability of doctors and recreational opportunities."

Things to Do in Washington D.C.

While "recreational opportunities" are clearly a priority to seniors, just about anyone can enjoy everything D.C. has to offer, whether you're in town to visit or deciding whether or not you want to spend your golden years living in the political capital of our country.

For example, those who are coming into town to sightsee will want to stop at some of the city's staples, which include places like The National Mall, The Smithsonian Museums, Arlington National Cemetery, and government centers like the White House, the U.S. Capitol Building, and the Library of Congress. Want a less political list of things to do? You can also head to the Washington National Cathedral (be sure to try and spot the Darth Vader hidden figures) or take in a Washington Nationals baseball game.

Many of these places are free to visit, or else have a small fee associated with them, which makes them ideal for those living on a fixed budget and money savvy travelers.

When Is the Best Time to Visit Washington D.C.

While retirees will spend a whole lot of time here, those coming in for a quick visit can find something to do all year long. However, U.S. News and World Reports says that September through November or March to May are the best times to come into town for some sightseeing. That's because these times are produce the best weather, while also having the smallest crowds, allowing you to experience all that Washington D.C. has to offer on your own schedule and without having to deal with sweltering heat, freezing cold temperatures, or large crowds.

While I think that visiting during the city's cherry blossom festival is a must, even if you only do it once, you really can find something to do in D.C. no matter what time of year you visit.

In a March 2026 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ackles, who started playing Soldier Boy during the third season of The Boys, shared that he felt a bit anxious for Padalecki and Collins to film for the hit Prime Video series.

"I was nervous to have them on," said Ackles during the Entertainment Tonight interview.

He then clarified that he just "wanted them to do good" on The Boys because he considers them a part of his family.

"We spent, you know, almost two decades together and we still see each other," said Ackles in reference to Supernatural's 15-year run. "We still do, you know, conventions together, and we still talk, you know, quite often. And I mean, we're kind of friends for life."

He then compared watching Collins and Padalecki filming their Boys scenes to "watching your son go up to bat for the first time." He clarified that Collins and Padalecki "did great" playing their unnamed Boys characters.

"I had no reason to do that but I think it's just a testament to the bond that we share. We had a great time," said Ackles, who played Dean Winchester on Supernatural, which ended in 2020.

Ackles also warned The Boys fans that the scenes he shot with Collins and Padalecki were "disgusting"and "outrageous."

"I think there were multiple days where we looked at each other, we're like, 'What are we doing?'" recalled Ackles.

He then noted that The Boys is created by Eric Kripke, the creator of Supernatural.

"We're all used to Kripke's universes, so it wasn't that shocking," said Ackles to the publication.

He also told Entertainment Tonight that it took some time for Ackles, Collins, and Padalecki to act as different characters than their Supernatural counterparts for The Boys. As Supernatural fans are aware, Padalecki played Dean's brother Sam, and Collins played angel Castiel.

"But having us together, I would say it was weird working on camera with them, playing different characters than we're used to playing with each other," said Ackles during the Entertainment Tonight interview. "And that was a little tricky. It took us a few takes to kind of shake that out, but we got there."

Jensen Ackles Shared How Jared Padalecki & Misha Collins Became Cast Members for 'The Boys' Season 5

In a June 2025 interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ackles explained that Kripke, who left Supernatural following its fifth season, wanted to invite Collins and Padalecki for The Boys season 5, which premieres on April 8.

"Eric Kripke, who created Supernatural, he is also the writer-showrunner of The Boys. When he likes to work with somebody, he likes to continue working with them. And I was the benefactor of that, obviously. But then he thought, 'Oh, what a great idea. Let's just bring the cast back together. Splash the ratings a little bit,' not that it needs it," said Ackles during the June 2025 interview.

He also said he was looking forward to Collins and Padalecki's scenes on The Boys to air.

"It was a really good time. I can't wait," said the Smallville actor in the June 2025 interview.
