Courtney Love Sends Bold Message to Rock Icon Dave Grohl: 'Just Come Out With It'

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 7:36pm

Courtney Love aired out many memorable moments in her lengthy alternative rock career during a Wednesday, Apr. 1, appearance on The Magnificent Other with Billy Corgan.

The nearly two-hour conversation was riddled with name-dropping as the two rockers recounted their careers from the early days of both their bands in the late 1980s and up through the burgeoning Seattle alt-rock scene. Corgan and Love briefly dated and ran in the same circles, so the conversation is definitely worth a listen.

One of the most interesting moments in their conversation, aside from their shared stories about Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon (whom they both agreed was very rude), was near the end, when Love took a moment to talk about other musicians from their era that she thought she was cool with, but ultimately, they took shots at her for seemingly no reason.

Love illustrated her point by bringing up one of the guys in Tool who wore a "Free Frances Bean" T-shirt in the '90s, and how upset she was because she thought they were friends. Then, she brought up Dave Grohl, who played drums in Nirvana, the band fronted by her late husband, Kurt Cobain.

Love opined, "Grohl, just come out with it and say we're cool, come out with it. Right, like be man enough to man up," before claiming that the Foo Fighters frontman won't admit he and Love squashed their beef over a decade ago.

She continued, "You won't say it because you're afraid you'll lose your audience. You're afraid it will affect your relationship with literal Paul McCartney?"

Love implored, "Dave it would really behoove me if the straight white males that are your base, if you will. stop picking on me."

"I can confirm that I've spent time with you and Dave together, and Dave doesn't have any issue with you," Billy Corgan confirmed.

Love went on to claim that Grohl allows the feud facade to continue because "he needs that image" before saying the Foo Fighters singer has written, "like four songs about me and they're hits!"

It's no secret that Love and Grohl famously feuded for nearly two decades, butting heads and even turning into legal disputes when it came to Nirvana's legacy and royalties. A seemingly personal vendetta that spilled out into Foo Fighters' music, with Grohl eventually admitting that he wrote "I'll Stick Around" about Love and even calling her an "ugly f**king b***h" on stage at the Witnness Festival in Ireland in 2002.

Love took plenty of shots at Grohl, too, accusing him of taking money that should have been hers and her daughter's and later accusing the Foo Fighters frontman of trying to seduce her then-19-year-old daughter, a claim that Frances Bean Cobain has denied.

In 2014, Love told David Letterman that she and Grohl ended their years-long feud. "We're friends again — we text, and we're cool," Love explained. "I think you just get to an age where, 'Why are we suing each other? Really?' It just got stupid. Me and Dave Grohl had some gnarly times over 20 years. And if we can make up, anyone can make up."

Though Corgan confirmed it and others have claimed to see Love and Grohl getting along just fine, he still hasn't officially confirmed that the feud with the Hole singer ended more than a decade ago.

Judge Dismisses Blake Lively’s Sexual Harassment Claims Against Justin Baldoni

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 7:14pm

A New York federal judge has thrown out actress Blake Lively's sexual harassment claims against actor and costar Justin Baldoni in connection with the making of the movie It Ends With Us, according to multiple news outlets. This dismissal comes after a more than year-long back and forth litigation around the film.

In today's ruling, Judge Lewis J. Liman determined that Lively, an independent contractor rather than an employee in this case, was not entitled to bring sexual harassment claims (under Title VII), nor due to jurisdictional grounds under California law. Lively had alleged over a dozen sexual harassment claims against Baldoni and other parties. Baldoni denied the allegations.

Related: Jameela Jamil Calls Blake Lively A 'Villain' and More Scathing Names in Text Thread

After reviewing the claims, Liman determined today that the alleged actions were part of Baldoni "acting in the scene" of the movie and wrote in his ruling, "At least in isolation, the conduct was directed to Lively's character rather than to Lively herself."

"Creative artists, no less than comedy room writers," Liman added, "must have some amount of space to experiment within the bounds of an agreed script without fear of being held liable for sexual harassment."

So what does this mean for Lively's sexual harassment claims? For now, it means they're dead in the water. They have been thrown out of the case, so neither Lively or Baldoni's lawyers will have the chance to prove or disprove sexual harassment allegations one way or the other.

Three claims do remain in the case, however—for retaliation, aiding and abetting retaliation, and breach of contract—none which include Baldoni.

Baldoni's legal team, in a statement shared with People, said, "What’s left is a significantly narrowed case, and we look forward to presenting our defense to the remaining claims in court.”

An attorney from Lively's legal team Sigrid McCawley shared the following statement with Parade: “This case has always been and will remain focused on the devastating retaliation and the extraordinary steps the defendants took to destroy Blake Lively’s reputation because she stood up for safety on the set and that is the case that is going to trial. For Blake Lively, the greatest measure of justice is that the people and the playbook behind these coordinated digital attacks have been exposed and are already being held accountable by other women they’ve targeted. She looks forward to testifying at trial and continuing to shine a light on this vicious form of online retaliation so that it becomes easier to detect and fight.”

McCawley adds, “Sexual harassment isn’t going forward not because the defendants did nothing wrong but because the court determined Blake Lively was an independent contractor, not an employee.”

A trial date is scheduled for May 18.

Lively and Baldoni co-starred in and Baldoni directed the 2024 movie It Ends With Us, which is based on a Colleen Hoover novel by the same name.

Previously, Baldoni and production company Wayfarer Studios countersued Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, accusing them of defamation and extortion. A judge dismissed those claims last June.

‘I’m a Psychologist, and I’m Begging Parents To Stop Using This 1 Common Phrase'

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 7:11pm

I’m a child psychologist, and there’s one error that even the most well-intentioned parents make regarding a common phrase they use about their goals for their children.

Picture the scene: It’s the first day of parenting classes, and I ask the group, "Tell me about your parenting values."

Inevitably, one person will raise their hand and say, “I just want my kids to be happy.” Heads all around the room nod enthusiastically, and my heart sinks.

It sounds so good, right? "I want my kids to be happy." That sounds so positive, so gentle, so supportive and so very, very misguided.

I mean, what’s wrong with happiness? Shouldn’t we want our kids to be happy, to experience positive emotions and have an idyllic, joyful childhood? This is especially true for those of us who had childhoods that weren’t exactly perfect, or for those of us who felt pressured by the way we were parented to achieve or to shut down our emotions, or who never felt truly understood and supported in childhood.

Even those of us who had great childhoods remember the happy times fondly, and of course, we’d want that for our kids.

This is the mistake that Pixar’s Inside Out movie illustrates so beautifully. At the beginning of the movie, we meet Riley, a little girl, and the emotions that run her "console," managing her life by allowing her to feel reactions to events. Joy is the emotion that runs the console at the start of everything; she’s the captain of the ship. She’s in charge of keeping Riley happy. In fact, Riley’s mom explicitly tells her that her mom and dad want her to be their "happy little girl."

But Riley isn’t happy. She’s going through a tough culture shock, moving from Minnesota to San Francisco, missing her friends, and her favorite possessions are lost with a misdirected moving van. Her mom’s well-meaning message sets Riley up for some pretty challenging experiences, until the family learns to allow some other, less pleasant emotions in.

Below, I'll explain more about why parents shouldn't use this common phraseand what you can say instead, so that you build resilience and emotional tolerance in your children.

Why Parents Should Stop Using This 1 Common Phrase, According to a Psychologist

There are a few different reasons why parents should avoid using the phrase “I just want my kids to be happy."

Happiness isn’t universally sustainable

Happiness is not a natural human state. Happiness is a fleeting emotion that tells us, “That was a positive experience. Try to repeat it.”  Happiness is great, but it’s not universally sustainable, and the burden of "being happy for mom and dad" can be a subtle pressure that actually can increase negative mental health outcomes for kids.

In Inside Out, Riley’s emotions conspire to keep Sadness at bay. They try to banish Sadness to one tiny circle inside the brain. When Sadness correctly talks about how difficult it is to move, how her friends are back at home, that all of her favorite possessions are not around or that it’s not so easy to leave childhood behind, the other emotions try to suppress her.

We can’t always be happy. Life is sometimes sad, or scary, or frustrating. If a child knows that their parents are so committed to keeping them happy all the time, they may not feel comfortable sharing less-than-happy emotions with their parents. This is what can sometimes keep children from telling parents about the first signs of true distress or dysfunction.

“My brain is telling me that I’m fat,” “I have panic attacks when I have to take a test” or “My best friend just dropped me” aren’t happy statements. If the child is afraid of their parent’s reaction to distress, they may not bring those thoughts and occurrences up to their parent.

Parents also sometimes rush to "fix" it when a child isn’t happy. I was working with a mom who told me that she was trying so hard to cheer her child up when he lost an important competition, she forgot to give him time and space to process it. He finally told her, “I don’t want to cheer up. I want to be mad right now!” before she realized how hard she had been trying.

It’s OK to be "mad right now" right after a loss. That "mad" feeling sometimes helps us troubleshoot, problem solve or plan for next time. “Mad right now” is acceptable, but when a parent "just wants her kids to be happy," she may not make space for that.

It's an outcome, not a value

“I just want my kids to be happy” describes an outcome, not a value. Values are freely chosen and personally meaningful directions for how you want to show up in life. Outcomes are endpoints; they’re specific goals that you either meet or fail to meet. Parenting based on a specific and narrow outcome is likely to fail. Humans rarely follow the scripts we lay out for them.

“I just want my kids to be happy” is not only an outcome, but it's an impossible outcome. Humans cannot be responsible for the emotional state of other humans. We can’t control how other people feel. We can provide ingredients for certain emotions, but we can’t control that outcome. Trying to attain the unattainable is a recipe for frustration.

It doesn’t teach a useful skill

Let’s face it: Statistically speaking, our kids are far more likely to encounter other emotional states than happiness in their day. As adults, they’re unlikely to be all happy, all the time. Aren’t we much better off teaching them how to handle their more challenging emotions, like sadness, anger, disgust, frustration, shame or guilt? It’s our job as parents to provide them with emotional literacy, to help them understand what they are feeling, why and what to do about it. Often, emotions are data. They give us quick information about the world, and it’s our job to interpret that information accurately and then decide how we want to act on it.

If I’m nervous about the big science test next week, that’s great! That’s my anxiety, warning me that if I don’t do something (like study!), I might fail. This is useful data. I have a week to study. The anxious sensation is warning me, telling me to take action. “Just being happy” won’t help me accurately interpret and utilize that data. It’s the same with anger, which identifies our boundaries, or guilt, which identifies our values.

Emotions aren’t the enemy. They can be our best friends. “I just want you to be happy” doesn’t allow us to use emotions properly.

Related: Psychologists Warn: These 7 ‘Nice’ Phrases from Parents and Grandparents Actually Create Anxiety in Kids

5 Types of Phrases That Actually Teach Kids To Avoid Their Feelings1. "Erasing the feelings" phrases
  • "You’re fine."
  • "It’s not a big deal."
  • "Stop crying" or "Big kids don’t cry."

These phrases, while seemingly comforting, give kids the message that their emotions are wrong or too much. Yes, of course, we want to reassure a child that a scraped knee isn’t life-threatening, but it also hurts. And it’s OK for it to hurt for a moment.

Sometimes, something minor does feel like a big deal to a small child. And yes, excessive tears can sometimes feel a bit too much, and we do want to teach children proportionality, but it’s usually better to allow tears to take their course than to ask children to mask their genuine emotional response.

2. "Minimizing the feelings" phrases
  • "It could be worse."
  • "Other kids have it harder."
  • "There’s nothing to be upset about."
  • "At least... (XYZ)"

These seem kinder than the ones that tell kids to dismiss their feelings, but you’re still telling the child that their emotional reaction is incorrect. In the moment of pain, disappointment or overwhelming emotion, we want validation and support with the sensation, not cognitive reframing.

In the first Inside Out movie, there’s a wonderful scene where a character named Bing-Bong is overwhelmed by emotion at a significant loss. Joy tries to cheer him up, to talk him out of his emotional state, to distract him and reframe it. Sadness just listens to him and gives him a moment to cry. Once he does cry, Bing-Bong is ready to move on. He reframes the disappointment himself.

3. "Rushing the feelings" phrases
  • "It’ll be OK."
  • "You’ll get over it."
  • "You’ll do better next time."

The core message is "Let’s not stay here in the discomfort, let’s fast-forward past it." But we can’t rush emotional processing. It’s true that they’ll get over it. Most of us can remember situations that felt crushing when we were kids—our first failure, our first unrequited crush, our first rejection—and we got over them. But do you remember how crushing that moment felt?

If we fast forward past the initial sensation, we don’t get to absorb the feelings, learn from them and become more resilient. "It will be OK" is something that the child can come to on their own when we support them through their feelings about what happened. Our temptation is to fix the emotions in the moment, but platitudes rarely fix anything.

4. "Replacing the feelings" phrases
  • "Cheer up."
  • "Look at the bright side."
  • "Think positive."

The core message is to replace an uncomfortable emotion with a better one. This isn’t a bad message. In fact, we do teach children to shift their emotional state, to self-regulate and that uncomfortable emotions are not a prison. The key is that we want our children to decide to do that on their own.

When I teach a child that if they’re feeling anxious, they can do some deep breathing or progressive muscle relaxation, or that taking a break and going for a walk can help us out of a funk, or the power of cognitive reframing, I’m teaching a skill. The crucial distinction is when we teach that skill. I’d rather teach that skill at a calm time, when the child isn’t struggling with intense emotions, because the child might read that as my desire to shut down their emotions. I’d rather validate first, make room for discomfort and emotions and then help the child reframe their thinking.

“Think positive” isn’t an emergency brake for emotions; it’s the way to think when we’re not experiencing intense emotions. Once we’ve felt our feelings and they’ve subsided a bit, that’s the time to think positively.

5. "Regulating the parent" phrases
  • "Don’t be so dramatic."
  • "Calm down."
  • "You’re making a scene."
  • "You’re embarrassing me."

The core message here is, "Your feelings are too much for me," and "Your feelings are now exposing me to social judgment and discomfort." You're telling your kid, "You shouldn’t feel this way, because when you feel this way, I feel discomfort, and that’s an emergency."

This makes the child the caretaker of the parents’ emotions. When we tell a child, “Your feelings are too much for me,” we’re also telling the child, “Your feelings are too much for the world.” That’s a dangerous message for kids to internalize.

This Is What Parents Should Say Instead To Build Resilience and Emotional Tolerance

“I just want you to be happy” is an understandable sentiment, but it’s misguided. It’s impossible, it’s unrealistic and it sets both kids and parents up for failure. If happiness is the goal, challenging emotions start to feel like failure.

The goal is not to raise a child who is always happy. It’s to raise a child who can handle unhappiness when it inevitably shows up.

Instead of trying to make the feeling go away, we want to help our children learn that they can handle it. That might sound like, “I know this is hard. I’m here with you.”

The shift is subtle but powerful: we focus less on comfort and more on capacity. We’re teaching children that discomfort isn’t dangerous, that feelings don’t have to be rushed or fixed and that they don’t have to face them alone. It’s not our job to make sure our children are always happy. It’s our job to make sure they know they can handle life when they’re not.

Tiger Woods Tells Police He Just Called President Trump, New Bodycam Footage Reveals

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 7:00pm

Tiger Woods told Florida police that he called President Trump at the scene of his March 27 car accident and DUI arrest, new bodycam footage reveals.

In the video acquired by the New York Post, which was taken from bodycam footage, Woods, 50, can be seen telling police, "I was just talking with the president." Previously, Woods was walking further away from the vehicle, but could be heard saying, “Thank you so much. All right. You got it. Bye,” into the phone.

The officers went on to ask Woods to refrain from straying from the site of the accident or putting anything into his mouth. They then went on to administer a field sobriety test.

"I was just talking with the president.” Tiger Woods told police he called Trump after he rolled his vehicle, and moments before he was arrested for DUI, according to bodycam video. https://t.co/fZLmpppFSl pic.twitter.com/yDzyBXwkuA

— New York Post (@nypost) April 2, 2026

Woods has been dating Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., for over a year, according to Page Six.

When Was Tiger Woods in a Car Accident?

On March 27, Woods was involved in a rollover car crash when his Land Rover rolled over after he “overtook” a pressure-cleaning truck that was pulling a small trailer, Sheriff John M. Budensiek said in a press conference on Friday, PEOPLE noted.

Earlier on Thursday, bodycam footage was released that showed the legendary golfer being arrested by Florida police.

The videos, which were released by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and shared by local news station WPBF on Thursday, April 2, show the athlete being put in handcuffs following a rollover crash.

“At this time, I do believe your normal faculties are impaired,” the arresting officer can be heard saying to Woods.

“Am I being arrested?” Woods asks.

“Yes, sir,” she responds.

The officers proceed to search the golfer’s pockets. They reportedly found cash, a pair of AirPods, nicotine pouches, and two opioid pills, PEOPLE reported.

Will Tiger Woods Seek Treatment?

Yes. Woods recently received the permission of a Florida judge to leave the United States to seek treatment following his car accident and arrest for DUI, according to court documents obtained and reviewed by PEOPLE. According to the documents, the athlete’s physician made the recommendation that he leave the country “based upon the Defendant’s complex clinical presentation, the urgent need for a level of care that cannot safely or effectively be done within the United States.”

The recommendation that Woods seek treatment out of the U.S. was also based on the idea that his “privacy has been repeatedly compromised.”

Crumbl Enters a New Era With Major Company Move

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 6:59pm

Crumbl has officially moved into its new headquarters.

Sawyer Hemsley, co-founder of the dessert company, took to Instagram to share photos of Crumbl’s new workspace, where their test kitchen and offices are housed.

Founded in 2017 by Hemsley and his cousin Jason McGowan in Logan, Utah, Crumbl’s move marks a new chapter in the company’s history.

“I’ll never stop being grateful for everyone who’s part of the Crumbl family,” Hemsley posted on Instagram. “And especially you, our customers. This space already has such an incredible energy. So much color, life, creativity, and passion across every team. I’m excited to get to work and build what’s next.. 2026 is going to be really special!”

View this post on Instagram

Hemsley said that he and his cousin never expected Crumbl to grow into what it has become today.

“Still putting on the final touches, but I had to share this moment,” Hemsley said. “I gave my mom and little sister a tour and it just hit me how far this has all come.”

Designed by Interior Concepts Design House, Hemsley has been sharing updates on the building of Crumbl HQ for several weeks. In an Instagram post last month, he shared a behind-the-scenes reel of Crumbl’s new test kitchen.

“One of the biggest reasons for the move was to expand our test kitchen and create more space for our bakers to keep doing what they do best,” Hemsley said. “Creating the amazing desserts you know and love.”

Hemsley said he’s calling the test kitchen Crumbl’s “new dessert playground.” He said it’s a space built for the future.

Crumbl recently revived its “most controversial” cookie flavor, available only on April 1 — the Almost Everything Bagel sandwich cookie. It’s made of two thin, buttery cookies coated in an “almost everything bagel blend,” sandwiched with a light cream cheese filling. Hemsley described it as “a little crazy.”

“It’s a little unexpected,” Hemsley said. “And honestly that’s kind of the point.”

While the Almost Everything Bagel cookie is now off the menu, here’s what you’ll find in their limited-edition “Easter Bundl”:

đŸ„•Â Carrot Cake – Two layers of carrot cake mixed with warm spices, coconut, pineapple, and carrots, finished with a light glaze, vanilla cream cheese frosting, and chopped pecans.

🍓 Strawberries ‘n’ Cream Cookie – A vanilla cake cookie topped with fresh house-made whipped cream, strawberry jam, and strawberry slices.

💐 Spring M&M’S Cookie – A timeless cookie bursting with colorful, spring-inspired M&M’S¼ candies.

Further Bravoholics are choosing to back Miller, too, including Your Friends & NeighborsstarJon Hamm and Miller’s Traitors’ co-stars Boston Rob and Dylan Effron, per E! News.

’80s Rock Legend, 76, Releases 'Gorgeous' New Single and Fans Deem Him a 'Master at His Craft'

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 6:14pm

This April Fool's Day was notable for a lot more than just jokes. Last night also brought this month's full moon, known as the Pink Moon, and with it, the fourth single from Peter Gabriel's upcoming album o\i: "Till Your Mind Is Shining."

As fans are probably no doubt aware, the pioneering rock legend has been releasing singles from o/i in the same manner as his 2023 album, i/o, dropping a new song on each full moon of the year. January’s full moon brought the first single, “Been Undone,” followed by February's “Put the Bucket Down" and “What Lies Ahead" in March.

In a statement, Gabriel called "Till Your Mind Is Shining" the "closest I get to a pop song on this record."

"The song began around a chord sequence which I liked and which felt quite poppy and playful, so I just kept on playing around with it till I had something," he explained. "Of all the songs that I’ve written for i/o and o\i this is probably the poppiest for me. It takes me back to my schooldays, in some ways, because before there was Genesis we were effectively trying to be songwriters more than musicians — pop songs or soul / R&B songs. I think this song connects me back to some of those roots and the sort of thing that I was working on then and trying to master."

"Some elements of this are a few years old, I mean pretty much most things I work on take a while to mature," Gabriel continued. "I leave songs for a while and go and do something else and when I come back to them and they smell alive, I will want to complete them. I really enjoyed singing this one, particularly the end, and I think the band had a good time playing it too. You can hear some wonderful performances from all the band. It was really a fun thing to create."

Fans on YouTube were thrilled with the new tune.

"I love this song so much. Peter Gabriel is a master at his craft," one person wrote.

"This has a very mid-late 70s feel, but with very modern guitar riffs," a second person added. "Who else here gets extremely hyped up when a new track is hitting the Internet!? I'm having a rough start to the year, but this is therapeutic!"

"Everything he does is underpinned by melody...such gorgeous melody," declared someone else.

Peter Gabriel's latest single is accompanied by new artwork

Like the other singles from o\i, "Till Your Mind is Shining" is accompanied by a brand new piece of original artwork, this time from contemporary artist Tatsuo Miyajima. The piece is titled "Warp Time with Warp Self, No. 2."

"I went to Hiroshima a few years back and talked to some of the survivors of the bomb, extraordinary women who have dedicated their lives to keeping alive their experience of the awful reality and total horror of a nuclear bomb," Gabriel recalled.

"I really wanted an image that felt like a mixture of something cold and structured and informative as well as being soft and self-reflective. Tatsuo calls this piece ‘Warp Time with Warp Self, No.2’ and I love that it feels quite futuristic in one sense, with numbers and data and yet you’ve got this ‘warp self’ in the background," he continued. "There’s an interaction between the human and the mechanical AI world that we’re creating, or at least that’s what it says to me. I like that, particularly in the context of where the ‘Shining Mind’ could lead you and what that is there to counter, in terms of what we’re creating in this outside world."

Wynonna Judd took on one of Tammy Wynette's beloved country classics during a special tribute concert this week, and fans believe she truly did justice to the late star's legacy.

Country artists gathered at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on Monday, March 30 to honor the late "First Lady of Country Music" with several musical performances, including Judd's rendition of the 1974 hit, "Woman to Woman."

"She was phenomenal!" one fan gushed on Instagram, while other users left adoring messages for Judd, like "That's our Queen" and "You are so Great."

Country Rebel uploaded a clip of the performance alongside the caption, "This cover would make Tammy Wynette proud," while several fans in the comments agreed.

"[She] would make anyone proud," one fan wrote of Judd, while another fan on TikTok said Judd's performance was "very nicely done."

When Judd, 61, first appeared on stage at Monday night's event, she took a moment to speak about her friendship with the late Wynette. As reported by PEOPLE, Judd stated: "I met Tammy Wynettte in 1984. She handed us our first award, the Horizon Award at the CMAs, and we quickly became family. She used to cook for me on her bus."

"So, Ms. Tammy Wynette, you're my queen," she added.

The tribute event was held just days ahead of the 28th anniversary of Wynette's death. The late legend died on April 6, 1998 at the age of 55.

Other performers at the show also included Kimberly Perry, who performed Wynette's 1967 hit "I Don't Wanna Play House," and Terri Clark, who took on 1967's "Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad." The War and Treaty also performed Wynette's 1975 duet with her husband George Jones, "Golden Ring," in addition to Gretchen Wilson's cover of "Til I Get It Right", a performance of "Stand By Your Man" from Heart's Ann Wilson, and many, many more.

Jones and Wynette's daughter, Georgette Jones even took the stage to cover her mom's beloved track, "He Loves Me All the Way."

Nancy Guthrie Update: What Could Crack the Case After 2 Months, Former FBI Agent Says (Exclusive)

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 5:38pm

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing more than eight weeks after the abduction from her Tucson, Ariz., home—and a retired FBI agent recently shared what he thinks could finally crack the case.

On the two-month mark of 84-year-old Nancy's disappearance, retired FBI special agent Jason Pack spoke with Parade about the investigation.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

Pack, who is not involved in the case, sent a message of warning to the perpetrator(s).

"Every day that passes, investigators get closer. Not further. Closer," he explained. "They do not know which camera caught them. They do not know who has already talked. That uncertainty is exhausting."

He continued, "One phone call. One person who decides the reward money matters more than their silence. That is all it takes to bring law enforcement directly to their front door. The walls close slowly in these cases. But they always close."

Additionally, Pack encouraged residents of the greater Tucson area who already checked their security cameras to take another look.

"You may not have done enough," he stressed. "A lot of folks glanced at their footage, saw nothing obvious and moved on. But what looks like nothing to you could be everything to a trained investigator. "

Pack added, "A car parked two blocks away at an odd hour. A vehicle passing the same intersection twice in twenty minutes. That looks like noise to most people. To an FBI agent building a timeline it is a data point that can place a suspect and blow a case wide open."

Finally, he iterated, "Go back and look again. You do not need to know what you are looking for. Submit it and let the investigators sort it out. That is their job."

Nancy was last seen at her Tucson, Ariz., home on the evening of Jan. 1. Despite Savannah offering a $1 million reward for information that leads to her mother's recovery, no suspect has been named in the case.

Jana Duggar Breaks Silence on Brother Joseph Duggar's Arrest for Child Molestation

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 5:31pm

Jana Duggar Wissmann is speaking out for the first time since her brother Joseph Duggar was arrested.

On Wednesday, Mar. 18, Joseph was arrested and charged for Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Two days later, Joseph and his wife Kendra were hit with additional child endangerment charges—unrelated to Joseph's initial case.

On Thursday, Apr. 2, Jana and her husband Stephen issued a statement via Instagram in response to the arrest.

"We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by the situation involving my brother, Joseph," the statement read. "This news came as a shock to us, as we had no prior knowledge before it became public. Our hearts are with the child who has been harmed—this is a grievous and unacceptable wrong. We continue to pray for the victim and for justice to be carried out."

1974 Masterpiece That Changed Cinema Forever Began With Director Getting Shot At

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 5:29pm

On this day in 1975, The Godfather Part II was No. 1 at the box office.

A smash hit with critics and audiences alike, the film that forever changed cinema was riddled with as much drama and chaos behind the scenes as the Corleone family was tackling on the screen.

According to Mental Floss, the second installment of the mob saga “almost didn’t happen at all.” The film’s director, Francis Ford Coppola, whose first go-round was not without its challenges, wasn’t interested in furthering the story. In fact, he suggested Martin Scorsese fill his shoes for the sequel. Paramount wasn’t amused and talked Coppola into the film.

Perhaps the most fascinating -- and frankly shocking -- bit of production chaos swirling around this crime masterpiece is the fact that character actor Timothy Carey shot at Coppola during auditions. With a gun. The gun was filled with blanks, but still, the director and everyone in the room, aside from Carey, were caught off-guard.

According to Carey, who spoke with Film Comment in 2004 about that very scene, he described the incident as “byootiful,” with Coppola grabbing the gun and shooting him back, “like a kid.” Here’s how the character actor put it:

“I went to talk to Francis at Paramount. I already had the part, but I still wanted to do a scene. Francis and his pals were sitting around his office and I brought a box of cannolis and Italian pastries as gifts. I said, ‘I brought you this gift to pay respect to my friends,’ and I reached down into those dripping cannolis and pulled out a gun — boom boom! — and blew the hell out of all of them.

“And then I shot myself and staggered over and fell on [co-producer Fred] Roos's desk — all the contracts went flying. And Coppola grabbed my blank gun and shot me back — bang bang! — like a kid. It was byootiful — I took 'em completely by surprise. Francis was stunned, ‘How much do you want?’ But Roos didn't like it, so he went to work and influenced Coppola against me.”

Carey added, “One guy, a little guy, was sitting there watching everything. A young kid with a camera, but he wasn't filming. He just sat there with a mean, kind of miserly
I could tell he was afraid by the lines on his face. Like he needed two inches of Chinese tonic. It was Martin Scorsese, somebody said.”

In the same interview, Carey, whose resume includes The Killing (1956), Paths of Glory (1957), and The Outfit (1973), said he turned down both Godfather roles -- the second being that of the made Mafioso boss seen at the start of the film -- because if he took them, he'd be “just like any other actor -- out for the money.”

The Godfather Part II, which premiered on Dec. 18, 1974, and spent eight weeks at No. 1, went on to win six out of its 11 Oscar nominations. But its legacy far outweighs its accolades.

Widely considered the best sequel ever made, the film forever changed cinema, not only introducing the parallel-structure narrative, but proving that sequels could not only live up to but perhaps surpass their predecessors in quality and artistic merit.

The Godfather Part II is streaming on Paramount+.

Will There Be an 'XO, Kitty' Season 4? Here's What We Know About the Netflix Charmer's Future

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 5:19pm

Yes, we're being greedy — the third season of XO, Kitty only just premiered on Netflix on Thursday, April 2, and we already have our sights on even more adventures abroad with Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) and co. in a fourth season.

In case you haven't tuned in yet, XO, Kitty is the spinoff series of Netflix's beloved To All The Boy I've Loved Before film franchise; we initially met the titular Covey daughter when she was simply the meddling little sis of those movies' main character, Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor). In this sequel series, however, a now-teenaged Kitty is our romantic lead, as we follow her journey studying abroad at K.I.S.S. (Korean Independent School of Seoul) and doing some kissing of her own with frenemy-turned-crush Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee).

And given everything that went down between Kitty and Min Ho in season three (no spoilers here, don't worry!), we'd be shocked if Netflix doesn't move forward with a fourth edition of the fan-favorite series. Here's everything we know so far about XO, Kitty season 4.

🎬SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

Will there be an XO, Kitty season 4?

Netflix hasn't yet announced whether or not XO, Kitty will continue for a fourth season. However, if the coming-of-age charmer does get greenlit for a season 4, the news should be coming in a few weeks' time, using previous seasons as precedent: After season one premiered in May 2023, the series was renewed for a second season in June. Similarly, after XO, Kitty season 2 debuted in January 2025, the streamer snatched it up with a season-three renewal in February. Given that the third season only just hit the platform on April 2, 2026, fans should keep a lookout for any renewal announcements to drop in May 2026.

"I know that all of our fans would love to see that," showrunner Valentina Garza told Deadline about a Season 4 pick-up. "We’re just gonna have to wait and see what happens. We’re very excited to continue to see our characters learn and grow.

When is the XO, Kitty Season 4 release date?

Again, Netflix has not yet formally greenlit a fourth season of XO, Kitty; however, if the streamer continues with the series, fans can likely expect to see new episodes as early as spring 2027. For reference, season three began production in May 2025 in Seoul, South Korea, and wrapped filming in July of last year, a mere nine months before the eps premiered on Netflix. Here's hoping they're able to replicate that same speediness this time around!

Netflix

Who is in the XO, Kitty Season 4 cast?

Well, there's no XO, Kitty without Anna Cathcart as our leading lady Katherine "Kitty" Song Covey. We would also be shocked if we didn't see the returns of fellow series regulars Yuri Han (Gia Kim), Min Ho Moon (Sang Heon Lee), Dae Kim (Choi Min-yeong), Q Shabazian (Anthony Keyvan), Juliana Porter (Regan Aliyah) and Marius (Sule Thelwell), as well as recurring actors like Joshua Lee (as Jin), Sasha Bhasin (as Praveena), Jocelyn Shelfo (as Madison), Han Bi Ryu (as Eunice), and Sunny Oh (as Mihee).

It's also up in the air which members of the larger To All the Boys universe, if any, would be making their return for a fourth installment. Season three saw the long-awaited appearance of Lana Candor as Kitty's beloved older sis Lara Jean, and fellow film alums like Noah Centineo and Janel Parrish have popped up in previous seasons.

Netflix

What will XO, Kitty Season 4 be about?

Well, we know one thing: It better touch on Kitty and Min Ho's relationship! As mentioned, a fourth season would likely take Kitty through her final semester at KISS and into graduation, which means the future — including enrollment at New York University for college in the fall — is very much looming ahead for our Covey girl. How will her planned return to America affect their connection?

At least showrunner Valentina Garza is aware that fans want to see more from the will-they-won't-they couple. “Well, I know that the audience wants to see that, and I’m so grateful that our audience is really invested in these characters that are so incredibly rich,” she told Swooon. “And I think we’re just going to have to wait and see what happens with them.”

Is there a trailer for XO, Kitty season 4?

Not yet, but Parade will update you the second any new trailers and teaser clips drop!

Anna Duggar‘s email to brother-in-law Joseph Duggar in jail has surfaced.

On Mar. 18, Joseph was arrested and charged for Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Us Weekly obtained the message Anna to Joseph through jail records on Thursday, Apr. 2.

“You’ve got our prayers. We love you—however we can help, please let us know,” Anna wrote in an email dated Mar. 21. “I think I put some money on your books. I don’t remember how phone calls and video calls work.”

In 2021, Anna's husband and Joseph's older brother Josh Duggar was convicted of possessing child sexual abuse material and sentenced to over 12 years in prison.

“Please let me know if I can help get things set up so you can call and talk with Kendra," Anna continued. "Just remember, don’t talk about anything legal unless you are with an attorney. Everything said in these messages, phone calls and video chats are recorded and turned over to prosecutors.”

"Are they keeping you in solitary, or will they let you go into a pod? Joshua's experience there at Washington County was fairly safe," Anna added. "If there are any concerns for your health, or safety, please let me know. On a practical side, I think commissary has a two week delay. If you find out timing, that would be helpful... If you will be there a while, we definitely want to send some goodies your way!"

Anna then shared she spoke with Joseph's wife Kendra. Two days after Joseph’s arrest, he and Kendra were hit with additional child endangerment charges—unrelated to Joseph’s initial case.

According to jail calls between Kendra and Joseph obtained by People, Kendra has lost custody of her children amid the ongoing child endangerment investigation."

"I talked with Kendra for about 30 minutes today. I was amazed with how clearly she thought, how focused and articulate she was in the middle of such heavy situations," Anna said. "She loves you deeply. She was strong on the phone call, except for when she talked about it being a month before she can see the kids. My heart breaks for all of you. I know she will win in the end... it just might take time."

She concluded, "Kendra is an amazing woman - the Grace of God is flowing from her life. She is a gem! <3 Know that God is our rock, He is our fortress, He is our shelter, He is our defender, He is our strength. He will get us through whatever storms we face. Praying for ya, love ya. Anna."

Joseph responded to Anna’s message several hours later, thanking her for the prayers and money for his commissary. He also asked Anna to help Kendra set up her email to communicate with him in jail.

‘General Hospital’ Announces Historic One-of-a-Kind Crossover Event With Fan-Favorite Duo

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 5:16pm

General Hospitalfans are in for a real treat in the next few weeks. The hit ABC soap is doing a one-of-a-kind crossover event with the Broadway show Aladdin.

A few episodes kicking off on Friday, April 24, and leading into May sweeps will feature Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) taking on New York City. Gio’s from Brooklyn and wants to show his lady love around the Big Apple.

According toEntertainment Weekly, during their time in New York City, the happy couple will run into Gio’s old friend Broadway star Michael James Scott, who has played the Genie in Aladdin since 2019. It turns out that during his violin-playing days, Gio was in an orchestra for a show Scott performed in, and they became friends.

Scott will play himself and help his old friend Gio take his girlfriend on a New York City adventure to remember. That’s not all, either.

Gio and Emma return the favor by taking Scott to Port Charles for his own adventure, which will air on Monday, May 4, one day after Scott wraps his epic run in Aladdin.

Scott’s musical talents will also be featured on the ABC soap. During his Port Charles visit, Scott will perform a rendition of the hit Aladdin song "Friend Like Me" by Robin Williams at Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) club, The Savoy.

This is the first-ever crossover of its kind, made possible by Disney synergy. Disney owns General Hospital and is behind the 1992 Aladdin movie and Broadway show, which debuted in 2014.

Aladdin celebrated its 12th anniversary on Broadway on March 20. The New Amsterdam Theatre has been home to Aladdin since its debut and is where Gio and Emma run into Scott.

No word yet if General Hospital fans will see Gio play the violin again during this crossover event. The character lost his love of music after learning that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) were his parents, not his mother, Camilla, who nurtured his love of music.

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.

Is HoneyBaked Ham Worth It? I Tried It Fresh, Reheated and the Next Day To Find Out

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 5:09pm

There’s no food more synonymous with Easter than ham, and no ham more iconic than HoneyBaked. For over 65 years, it’s been the centerpiece of holiday tables, showing up glazed, spiral-sliced and ready to impress with minimal effort.

I knew I needed a team to help me with this taste test, so I carted my HoneyBaked Ham on a weekend away with friends. The ham became the star of our lunch spread. We were in full “spring break meets Easter” mode, away from home, cooking in a rental kitchen and it was exactly the kind of scenario this ham is made for.

I was able to chat with Chef Tim Ziga, culinary expert at The HoneyBaked Ham Company, and he shared some great tips and tricks with me. His advice really influenced me to take the ham on the road, since it really lends itself to "the flexibility to celebrate anywhere" and for holiday time "without sacrificing tradition."

That idea of flexibility really stood out to me. Whether you’re hosting at home, traveling to see family or pulling together a holiday meal in a beach house or cabin, the appeal of something fully cooked and ready to serve is obvious.

To get a better understanding of what makes this ham so popular, and whether it’s actually worth the price, I learned more about the brand’s legacy, ordering tips and how to serve it. Then I put it to the test: eating it fresh, reheated and straight from the fridge the next day.

After tossing it in my cooler bag and serving it to dear friends, here's what I learned.

What Is HoneyBaked Ham Known For?

HoneyBaked Ham has built its reputation on consistency and tradition. As Chef Ziga explains, “We’re best known for our signature hams that are slow-smoked for up to 24 hours and finished with our iconic sweet, crunchy glaze”.

That glaze is really the signature. It’s a crackly, caramelized coating that gives way to a smoky, tender interior, something that instantly feels special.

I only had hams on my radar, but, beyond that, they offer full holiday spreads, including turkey, prime rib and a lineup of heat-and-serve sides. It’s very much designed to be a one-stop shop for hosting, all while keeping the ease for the host in mind.

How Much Does a HoneyBaked Ham Cost in 2026?

Jeanette Donnarumma

My ham came in at $95.94, or $11.49 per pound, which definitely puts HoneyBaked in the premium category. Compared to other popular retailers, it's about double or triple the price (Costco's standard spiral hams are around $4.99/pound and a traditional grocery store ham will run you between $3.99-$6.99/pound).

So yes, HoneyBaked is significantly more expensive. But it’s also fully cooked, pre-sliced, glazed and essentially zero-effort, which is part of what you’re paying for, along with a bit of a premium for the brand name and the consistency that comes with it.

Ordering is fairly straightforward. You can order online for delivery or pick-up, or if you have a brick-and-mortar near you, you can shop directly in the store.

“My pro tip is to reserve online ahead of time, especially around holidays,” Ziga tells Parade. He recommends planning for about œ pound per person, which also means planning ahead if you want leftovers (and trust me, you do).

Another thing I appreciated, especially after my experience in taking my ham on the road, is how well this works for travel. The brand even shares guidance around flying or road-tripping with your ham, noting it’s fully cooked and easy to transport with proper cooling methods.

How Many Days in Advance Can I Buy a HoneyBaked Ham? (And How Long Will It Last?)

If you’re hosting, this is where HoneyBaked really shines. To avoid the holiday rush, HoneyBaked Hams stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to a week. Leftovers can last seven to 10 days when stored properly. That kind of shelf life makes it ideal not just for the main event, but for stretching into easy meals all week long.

Here’s one of the most interesting parts of the brand: you don’t actually have to cook it.

“It’s fully cooked and ready to enjoy,” Chef Ziga explains. “I recommend serving it at room temperature
just remove it from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before serving.”

If you prefer it warm, you can heat it gently at 275°F for about 10 minutes per pound, covered in foil to keep it moist and preserve that signature glaze.

My Honest Review of HoneyBaked Ham

From initial thoughts upon receiving the ham to my takeaways after reheating and trying leftovers, here's my honest review.

First Impressions

Jeanette Donnarumma

I’ll be honest, it felt a little strange at first to unwrap a ham and just
start eating it. No roasting, no real prep. But visually, it’s impressive. The spiral slicing, the crispy glaze, it immediately looks like a holiday centerpiece. This is an incredibly easy, low-stress way to host a holiday meal, especially if cooking a large roast isn’t your thing.

Eating It Fresh

Fresh out of the packaging, the flavor is undeniable. The ham itself is smoky, tender and well-seasoned. The brown sugar glaze is sweet and slightly crunchy, though in my opinion, it’s better suited for warming so it can melt into the meat.

Reheating It

Jeanette Donnarumma

This is where it really shines.

Once warmed, the glaze melts beautifully into the ham, creating this rich, glossy coating that takes everything up a notch. It honestly became one of the best hams I’ve ever served.

I followed the instructions to gently separate the slices with a knife and cut around the bone, which made it incredibly easy for everyone to grab perfect portions.

Eating Leftovers the Next Day

Jeanette Donnarumma

The next day, we were back in the kitchen grabbing slices straight from the container and it was still delicious. Cold, it’s slightly firmer but still flavorful and satisfying.

It held up incredibly well, which is exactly what you want from a holiday centerpiece that’s meant to stretch into leftovers. It would make the perfect ham sandwich on some fresh rolls, protein for breakfast as ham and eggs, or chopped up finely and used in a ham salad.

Final Thoughts: Is It Worth It?

Given I was a bit taken aback by the price point of this ham, I do believe it's worth it. It's not your everyday ham, and that's OK, because it's worth it for a special occasion. Between the quality, flavor, ease and reputation, it delivers on exactly what you want from a holiday centerpiece.

This isn’t just a ham, it’s a fully thought-out hosting solution. There’s no stress, no guesswork, no worrying about cook times or carving. You unwrap it, serve it and it immediately feels like an event.

What really stood out to me is how well it performs across the board. Fresh, it’s flavorful and impressive. Warmed, it becomes something even better when the glaze melts into the meat, the slices separate beautifully and it genuinely feels like something you spent hours making. And the next day? Still just as enjoyable, whether you’re reheating it again or grabbing it cold straight from the fridge.

You are for sure paying more than you would for a grocery store ham, but you’re also paying for consistency, convenience and a product that delivers every single time. And when you factor in how far it stretches, especially with leftovers, it starts to feel like a smarter investment for a holiday meal.

There’s a reason HoneyBaked Ham has remained the gold standard for decades. It takes one of the most traditional holiday foods and makes it effortless without sacrificing quality.

If you want something that feels special but removes the pressure, especially during a busy, travel-heavy holiday weekend, this is one of the easiest ways to pull off a meal that everyone will remember.

Jim Bob Duggar’s Email to Joseph Duggar in Jail Revealed

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 4:59pm

Jim Bob Duggar's email to son Joseph Duggar in jail has surfaced.

On Mar. 18, Joseph was arrested and charged for Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Us Weekly obtained the message from Jim Bob to Joseph through jail records on Thursday, Apr. 2.

“Joseph, I’m so sorry for what you are going through. Mom & I love you very much!” Jim Bob wrote in an email dated Mar. 25. “Looks like you have a long road ahead of you, but God will get you through. You have made some terrible decisions, but God has already forgiven you if you have asked him."

The Duggar patriarch also informed his son of how his wife Kendra was doing. Two days after Joseph's arrest, he and Kendra were hit with additional child endangerment charges—unrelated to Joseph’s initial case.

According to jail calls between Kendra and Joseph obtained by People, Kendra has lost custody of her children amid the ongoing child endangerment investigation.

"Kendra is doing well overall. She is trusting in the Lord," Jim Bob said. "She loves you very much! Your kids are going to be okay. Our whole family has pulled together to help. Several of the sisters and sister-in-law's have taken Kendra out and spent a lot of time with her. It is ridiculous that they charged Kendra and arrested her, we've hired [redacted] to help Kendra. We were praying that we can get her charges dropped. You would be so proud of your Brothers and grateful to them for how they've all stepped up and are helping with all the details of your business and helping Kendra."

Jim Bob ended his message by warning his son that he will face "major consequences" for his alleged crimes.

“You are just going to have to accept the situation at this point and it’s also fine to pray that God would have mercy on you, but you’re probably gonna face a [sic] major consequences for several years to come,” Jim Bob wrote. “I pray that God will bring other Christians into your life to encourage you and that you can also point people to Christ even through the time you’re in jail and prison. God will be with you! He will get you and your family through!”

"David in the Bible royally messed up, but he repented and became a man after God's own heart. You also like Joseph who was in prison, can make lemonade out of lemons," he concluded. "I love you and we'll keep praying for you, don't give up. God is not finished with your life. Love you, Dad. 'Trust in the Lord, lean not to your own understanding.'"

Joseph entered a written plea of not guilty on Sunday, Mar. 29 and requested a jury trial. He was released from jail after posting a $600,000 bond on Tuesday, Mar. 31.

Jim Bob was spotted with Joseph at an airport the same day of his release. Joseph's next court date was set by a judge in Florida for April 20 at 9 a.m. local time.
