'Game of Thrones' Actor Michael Patrick Dead at 35
Michael Patrick, an Irish actor who appeared in HBO's Game of Thrones, died at the age of 35 after a three-year battle with Motor Neuron Disease.
"Last night, Mick sadly passed away in the Northern Ireland Hospice," Patrick's wife, Naomi, shared via Instagram on Wednesday, April 8. "He was admitted 10 days ago and was cared for by the incredible team there. He passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends."
Patrick was diagnosed with the neurodegenerative disorder in February 2023.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, Motor Neuron Disease "is a group of neurological disorders that gradually destroy your motor neurons. Your motor neurons are nerve cells that control muscle movement involved in activities like breathing, speaking, swallowing and walking."
View this post on Instagram"Words can’t describe how broken-hearted we are," Naomi continued. "It’s been said more than once that Mick was an inspiration to everyone who was privileged enough to come into contact with him, not just in the past few years during his illness but in every day of his life. He lived a life as full as any human can live. Joy, abundance of spirit, infectious laughter. A titan of a ginger-haired man."
In addition to Game of Thrones, Patrick made a name for himself in Ireland, starring as Richard III one year after receiving his diagnosis.
View this post on Instagram"We are so grateful for every person who supported us through the last few years," Noami continued. "Mick loved this quote from Brendan Behan and this feels appropriate now: 'The most important things to do in the world are to get something to eat, something to drink and somebody to love you.'"
"So, don’t overthink it. Eat. Drink. Love."

‘Grease’ Star Didi Conn, 74, Has the Same Smile Almost 50 Years After Playing the Beauty School Dropout
Didi Conn won the hearts of movie-goers in the role of Frenchy in 1978's Grease. But in the present day, the beloved actress is still going strong!
Conn, 74, nabbed her third film role ever in Grease, playing the famed beauty school dropout and member of the Pink Ladies alongside Olivia Newton-John and Stockard Channing. She had a resurgence in children's television thanks to her role alongside Ringo Starr on Shining Time Station. More recently, Conn appeared on the FOX series Best Medicine, in which she plays Geneva Potter, a senior Port Wenn resident. In a new photo, Conn smiled brightly alongside one of her costars on the show, a pig named Brisket. And they said acting was glamorous...
View this post on Instagram Did Didi Conn and Olivia Newton-John Remain Friends?Yes! On the first day on the Grease set, Newton-John was extremely nervous, but Conn used improvisation to help her relax.
“The first scene in the movie was her scene of walking onto the campus of Rydell with Frenchy, and she was nervous,” Conn told PEOPLE last year. “There we were so many, many, many times, she said how grateful she was that we had so much fun and that I just pulled her right into it."
In the decades after the film came out, Conn and Newton-John remained in close touch, with Conn calling Newton-John “just so sweet and beautiful.”
“I lived in Malibu on the bottom of Big Rock, and she lived on the top of Big Rock, so I'd see her a lot,” Conn shared of her friend, who died in 2022 from metastatic breast cancer. “I miss her.”
What's Next for Didi Conn?Back in February, Deadline announced that Conn would be heading to a guest-starring role on Elsbeth. Conn will tackle the role of Beverly Corman, the wife-turned-widow of Barney Coleman, played by Perfect Strangers star Mark Linn-Baker. Her character is "determined to get justice for her late husband." Joanna Gleason and Griffin Dunne will also join the cast.

1973 Hit Track Ranked Among 'Greatest Songs of All Time' Cemented This Singer as a Sex Symbol
One of Marvin Gaye’s most iconic tracks, released in 1973, was born out of a period of writer’s block, with lyrics shaped to reflect love. The song went on to be hailed as one of the "greatest of all time," cementing the soul legend’s status as a cultural icon and sex symbol.
Following the release of his most commercially successful album in 1971, What's Going On, Gaye was suffering from writer's block in the Spring of 1972. At the time, he had also renegotiated a new contract with Motown Records and given more creative control over his music. As a result, he released his twelfth studio album that included what would become one of his signature tracks, "Let's Get It On." It was named by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest songs to be released of all time.
The track was released in late March of that year and co-written and produced by Ed Townsend. Townsend had originally developed the track with religious themes, with Gay and Kenneth Stove having reworked the lyrics to have a political focus. Instead, Townsend felt the song was about love and sex, with him collaborating with Gaye on new lyrics. The soul singer transformed the song into an emotional piece with funky guitar arrangements and backing vocals.
"Let's Get It On" was a success, having landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart for two weeks and topped the Billboard Soul Singles chart for eight weeks. The song's popularity had skyrockets Gayes further into fame and gave him a reputation as a sex symbol.
Related: 1978 Soft Rock Hit Ranked Among ‘Sappiest Love Songs’ Revived This Singer’s Career
Rolling Stone calls the track an "ode to sexual bliss" and Gaye's having crafted a "masterpiece of erotic persuasion." While the soul singer had hoped the track didn't "advocate promiscuity," he admitted it does have "some aphrodisiac power." The hit track has been used in a wide array of pop culture projects, from Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery to shows like Friends and The King of Queens.
It became one of Motown Records' biggest hits and sold millions of copies. Gaye was considered the "Prince of Motown" and "Prince of Soul," with What's Going On having been ranked in various lists as one of the greatest albums of all time.
According to reports, at the time the song and album were recorded, Gaye had become smitten with jazz guitarist Slim Gaillard's daughter, Janis Hunter. She was only 17-years-old at the time, with the singer having been in his mid 30s. A widely reported story claims she was in the studio when Gaye recorded the hit track and began dating within months. The two would later marry in 1977 and have two children.

‘90210’ Star Jennie Garth Reveals She Had Stomach Pumped After Drinking and Pills Amid Nightmare Divorce
Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jennie Garth is opening up about her drug and alcohol issues amid her nightmare divorce from Peter Facinelli.
Garth, 53, who is best known for her role as West Beverly High School’s blonde queen bee Kelly Taylor alongside Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty on the iconic ’90s teen drama, has found her strength in the present day thanks to her hit podcast, I Choose Me, and upcoming book of the same name. But that doesn't mean she's forgotten where she came from. In her new memoir, Garth shares that when her marriage to Facinelli fell apart in 2012 after 17 years, she was taking pills and drinking alcohol so heavily one night that she needed to have her stomach pumped, PEOPLE reported.
“I noticed my light really dimming. I wasn’t putting off good vibes. I could see it in the mirror. I could look at the negative impact that that kind of grief and anger was having on me. And there was a weird switch where one day I just said, ‘I don’t want to carry this anymore. It’s impacting my relationships and how I feel about myself. I’ve got to let it go. I’ve got to forgive him,’" said Garth, who ultimately went to rehab and lives a sober life today.
When Is Jennie Garth’s Memoir Coming Out?This past summer, Garth announced that she would be releasing her book, I Choose Me: Chasing Joy, Finding Purpose, and Embracing Reinvention, on April 14, 2026.
Described by PEOPLE as “part inspirational memoir, part motivational advice,” the book aims to empower “women to choose a path of health, healing, and happiness,” according to the publisher.
“Inspired by her thought-provoking podcast of the same name – Jennie brings her signature mix of warmth, honesty, and humor to this deeply personal book about self-discovery and reclaiming your power,” an official synopsis reads. “Through fame, heartbreak, motherhood, and personal reinvention, Jennie discovered the transformative power of putting herself first. By learning to prioritize her own needs and desires, she found the strength to thrive — and to uplift others.”
View this post on InstagramStephen King Removed This Controversial Book From Print — Here’s Why
For the last five decades, horror author Stephen King has proven that he's not afraid to push boundaries. However, there's one book of his that he won't stand behind.
In a 2013 interview with journalist Anthony Mason, King said he made the decision to stop his 1977 book, Rage, from continuing to be published. He explained that he was concerned the novel's material would influence violence.
"It's not in print because it was a novel about a kid who goes to school one day and shoots his Algebra teacher and holds his class hostage with a gun. And he's got this whole backstory about his abusive father and a lot of teenage angst and a lot of problems," said King during the 2013 interview.
He explained that he wrote the book during his high school and college years and published it using his pen name Richard Bachman. According to King, Rage "didn't garner a lot of attention" and "was certainly never a bestseller." However, he stated that the book was a source of inspiration for two students who committed violence at their respective schools. He clarified that while he doesn't believe video games, "books or movies are ever the cause of this sort of violence," he didn't want one of his works to become "a part of a fantasy scenario" that could create great harm.
Stephen King Shared What Makes a Great Horror NovelAs one of the most recognizable and read horror novelists, King knows how to frighten his fans. In a 1999 interview onLate Night with Conan O'Brien, King shared his secret to a successful horror book. According to the acclaimed author, horror novels need to have two upsetting elements.
"That's what good horror is, it's kind of a peanut butter cup. You've got your chocolate. You've got your peanut butter. And they're both good. But when you add them together, you've got a whole new tasty treat," said King in the 1999 interview.
He then provided an example of a theoretical story with two scary elements.
"I'm really terrified of flying and I'm also terrified of rats. So I thought of this story called 'The Rats Are Loose on Flight 62,'" shared King.
Who Won 'Jeopardy' Today? (April 8, 2026) Plus, the Final Jeopardy Answer
There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.
Here's a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.
Jamie Ding survived a bit of a heart-racing scare before going on to win his 19th consecutive game, bringing his total winnings to $539,573.
Who are the Jeopardy contestants today?Erica WagnerErica Wagner is a high school English teacher from St. Louis, Missouri.
Dominex KovacsDominex Kovacs is a software engineer from Sacramento, California.
Jamie DingJamie Ding, who is currently on a winning streak, pulled off one of his narrowest victories to date. As his remarkable run nearly came to an end, it proved that no one, not even a champ, is safe on that stage.
Kovacs had the lead heading into Final Jeopardy after doubling his score in The Daily Double, with $17,600 to Ding's $14,400.
However, Kovacs was undone in Final Jeopardy by the bureaucrat and law student from Lawrenceville, New Jersey, who earned his 19th straight win with a final score of $9,201. His 19-day cumulative total now stands at $539,573.

What was Final Jeopardy today?Final Jeopardy today was in the category "Pop Culture People."
The clue: "Adopted in 1979, this name reflected size & strength as well as a promoter's wish to appeal to Irish-American fans."
The answer: Who is Hulk Hogan?
Pop culture knowledge was necessary for this Final Jeopardy, with the question stumping all three players. Ding's victory came as a result of his wagering strategy. As he trailed by $3,200, he wagered $5,199, allowing him to stay ahead on the condition that Kovacs got it wrong and made the standard cover bet of $11,201, which he did, bringing his total to a final score of $6,399.
Ding answered "Who was Rowdy Roddy Piper?" and ended with $9,201, while Wagner, who also gave an incomplete response, wagered $4,400, ending with a final score of $200.
Ding returns tomorrow for a shot at his 20th win.

1982 Forgotten Country Rock Song Topped the Charts 44 Years Ago
In 1982, The Oak Ridge Boys released a catchy song that blended country with rock and pop. The hit topped the Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart 44 years ago this week. It also reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 19 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart. The song was called “Bobbie Sue.” It was the first single released from the band's album of the same name.
The hit country song was styled in the vein of a rock-and-roll novelty song with a saxophone solo during the musical bridges. It was the group's sixth song to reach the top of the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. Some other songs that made the list were “Touch a Hand, Make a Friend,” “Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight,” “Make My Life With You,” and “Little Things.”
“Bobbie Sue” was co-written by Adele Tyler, Dan Tyler, and Wood Newton. In an interview with The Boot, Newton revealed how they came up with the lyrics. “Dan had a little boy at the time,” he said. “And one of the first words for a baby is ‘ba,’ like ‘bottle.’ So his son was saying ‘ba-ba,’ and it sparked this idea to write a song about ‘ba ba ba ba Bobbie Sue.’"
The Oak Ridge Boys were a quartet originally consisting of Wally Fowler, Lon "Deacon" Freeman, Curly Kinsey, and Johnny New. They were founded in 1943 and called themselves Wally Fowler and the Georgia Clodhoppers. They eventually changed their name to The Oak Ridge Quartet before finally settling on The Oak Ridge Boys in the 1960s. Today, the members include Duane Allen, William Lee Golden, Richard Sterban, and Ben James.
The band hit their peak of popularity in 1981 when they covered “Elvira,” which was originally recorded by Dallas Frazier. Duane Allen discussed their famous cover in a 2011 interview. "There’s not much we could do with 'Elvira' vocally," he said. "We wanted to protect the integrity of the song and not really change it that much. What we did want to do is take out the horns, which pretty well dated the song for the 80s."
The Oak Ridge Boys were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015. They announced they were retiring in 2024, but then set more tour dates for 2025. Allen revealed that they changed their minds after his bandmates told him, "We’ve all talked, and we want to keep working. We’re not through singing yet."
2024 Best-Selling 'Murder on Family Grounds' Ranked 'The Best Thriller Novel of All Time'
It's impossible to emphasize the appeal of a truly memorable thriller novel.
Whether you're reading it in the comfort of home, on a reclined airline seat or while lounging near a pool or roaring Caribbean sea, a remarkable thriller can make the hours tick by with the speed of seconds, capturing our interest from the very moment we start reading.
But like any literary genre, there's only so many books that rise to the upper echelon of the "best" thriller. Fortunately, Goodreads' members have pieced together their own comprehensive list of the best thrillers to ever arrive on bookshelves, starting with a familiar favorite from 2024.
As the Goodreads list saw it, Susan Rowland's 2024 suspenseful novel Murder on Family Grounds takes the top spot of over 1,000 highly esteemed books from the thriller genre.
The third book in Rowland's Mary Wandwalker series, Murder on Family Grounds follows out-of-work 60-year-old Mary as she assists the murder investigation of the enigmatic Falconer family.
As the case unfolds and more and more wealthy Falconers find themselves being killed off, Mary also uncovers several major ties to her own personal life and past connections to the Falconer family.
With roughly 1,740 Goodreads users contributing to the list, it's something of a shock to see a comparatively recent novel top the list for the best thrillers of all time. For example, Paula Hawkins' The Girl on the Train, Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl, Thomas Harris' Red Dragon and Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None appear further down on the list.
Rounding out the top 10 on the list are such fan-favorite books as Charlie Donlea's Twenty Years Later; Jason Rekulak's Hidden Pictures; R.D. Ronald's The Elephant Tree; Stieg Larsson's The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo; Freida McFadden's Never Lie; Lisa Jewell's None of This Is True; Charlie Donlea's Those Empty Eyes; and Debra Webb's Deeper Than the Dead.
Michael J. Fox Death Rumors Send Internet Into a Meltdown
Michael J. Fox is alive and well despite an onslaught of rumors to the contrary. According to TMZ, the rumors started after CNN published an article with the title, "Remembering the life of actor Michael J. Fox." The article has since been taken down and CNN has issued an apology.
"The package was published in error; we have removed it from our platforms and send our apologies to Michael J. Fox and his family," a spokesperson for CNN told Parade.
Meanwhile, a rep for Fox told TMZ, "Michael is doing great. He was at PaleyFest yesterday. He was on stage and was giving interviews."
Did @CNN accidentally post an obituary for Michael J Fox (now deleted, just goes to their homepage) or are their headline writers really, really bad? pic.twitter.com/Z87qWbzYkw
— Derek Hunter (@derekahunter) April 8, 2026Some internet users saw CNN's post before it was removed, and many are relieved to head that Fox is alive and doing well.
Fox, 64, was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease back in 1991 when he was just 29 years old. He kept the news about his health private for several years, eventually going public with his diagnosis in 1998. Although he's limited in mobility, Fox has managed to live with the disease for the past three decades—and he's even returned to work in some capacity after retiring from acting in 2020.
View this post on InstagramIn May 2025, Deadline reported that Fox inked a deal to appear on Season 3 of Shrinking.
“The depth of character, the quality of relationships, the language—it’s just a beautiful show," Fox told the Los Angeles Times earlier this year. "And I thought, just do that for its own sake. I don’t have an agenda. Don’t have to be coming back into acting or anything. It’ll be fun. And there’s Harrison Ford, which is insane."
For those hoping to stay connected with Fox, he is fairly active on Instagram.

Nancy Guthrie Update: Former FBI Agent Predicts Break as Pressure Mounts
A former FBI agent believes a turning point may be approaching in the Nancy Guthrie case as mounting pressure continues to build on those involved in her disappearance. In a new interview with Page Six, Jason Pack pointed to the unique combination of intense media coverage—fueled in part by Savannah Guthrie’s return to national television—and a reward exceeding $1 million as factors that could ultimately lead to a crucial break in the case.
"Every day that passes the pressure builds. Keeping a secret like this is exhausting. … and that gets harder with every morning that Savannah Guthrie sits behind that anchor desk," Pack told the outlet.
"Most criminals in cases like this count on the media moving on," he continued. "They count on the family fading from public view. They count on people forgetting. This case is different. Savannah has a national platform and she shows up on it every single day. Every time a viewer sees her face, they think about her mother."
"Add a reward of more than one million dollars and the full weight of FBI resources and you have a situation where the walls are not just closing, but they are closing from every direction at once," Pack added.
He went on to say that someone may get up the "courage" to phone in a tip that ultimately solves the case. Pack isn't the only expert who feels this way, either. Former Orange County prosecutor Matt Murphy appeared on a recent episode of Prof Jo Explains where he said, "I think, eventually, they’re going to catch this guy. There’ll be answers. But it may take—I mean, I did cold cases that were 15, 20 years old sometimes—so, it’ll take a while. I think somebody’s gonna have to talk."
Nancy, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. Authorities believe that she was kidnapped from her Arizona home in the middle of the night. Despite receiving thousands of leads, investigators have not been able to locate Nancy—or identify the person or persons responsible for her disappearance.

Aubrey Plaza With a Baby Bump: First Photos Revealed
As fans learned just yesterday, actress Aubrey Plaza, 41, is pregnant. Now the hilarious Parks and Recreation star has been photographed, walking her cute pooch in Manhattan, and today these photos have resulted in the first public sighting of the famous mom-to-be's adorable baby bump.
Plaza hasn't made any public comment about the pregnancy herself, but sources reveal she's expecting her first child with partner and actor Chris Abbott, 40, in the fall. And so now, of course, the celebrity curiosity and gawking has commenced.
In March 2026, before the pregnancy news broke, Aubrey Plaza attended the Lacoste show as part of Paris Fashion Week in Paris, France.

Fans can't help but be curious when there's life-changing news about one of their favorite stars, especially the positive kind like a pregnancy. It's normal to be curious and to hope for the best. However, let's not pretend the actress stepped out on a stage to be photographed for the world to see in these particular photos. Despite headlines that currently read "Showing Off My Baby Bump" or "Putting Her Baby Bump on Display," the actress appears to simply be walking her dog in her pregnant body.
Just because Plaza is an actress by profession doesn't mean everything she does has to be a performative display just for fans and onlookers. It's probably just a dog walk, people. She might even be tired, as most pregnant people are once the baby starts growing.
Let's all just take note, think positive thoughts for her, and then go about our business.
View this post on InstagramPlaza has been maintaining a lower profile after her estranged husband, screenwriter and film director Jeff Baena, died by suicide in early 2025. The interest in the talented actress isn't going away anytime soon, but let's try to keep it a bit chill, folks. Can we do that?
1977 Soft Rock Classic No. 1 Hit Became a Timeless Heartbreak Anthem
British‑American band Player's late-1977 tune "Baby Come Back" became one of the most unforgettable heartbreak tracks of the soft‑rock era—and it remains an anthem of the genre nearly five decades later.
The lead single from Player’s self‑titled debut album, it didn’t take long for the song to find its audience. Written by band founders Peter Beckett and J.C. Crowley after their own romantic breakups, the song was born from real emotional truth—a plea for forgiveness wrapped in irresistible hooks.
In the U.S., the track climbed steadily through late 1977, then hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it stayed for three weeks in January 1978. That milestone turned Player from a promising new act into overnight stars.

What makes the song especially memorable is its emotional honesty: the artist admits he was wrong, he can’t live without his love, and he’ll do whatever it takes to bring her back—a theme so universal that listeners across generations still connect with it. "Baby come back, any kind of fool could see / There was something in everything about you / Baby come back, you can blame it all on me / I was wrong and I just can't live without you," the hit expresses.
The track regularly appears on curated lists of the greatest soft rock songs of all time, including Spotify's, cementing its place not just in the year it was released but in the broader canon of classic pop music.
Musically, “Baby Come Back” sits squarely in the soft‑rock and blue‑eyed soul world. It's smooth, melodic, and polished without losing emotional grit. Beckett’s soulful lead vocals intermingle with Crowley’s harmonies over guitars and lush piano, creating the warm late‑’70s soundtrack feel that radio stations still love.

Artemis II Astronauts Woke Up to One of Rock's Greatest Collabs in History Today
There are alarm clocks, and then there's waking up to Queen and David Bowie while orbiting the moon.
The Artemis II crew got the latter today, with "Under Pressure" serving as their Day 8 wake-up song aboard the Orion spacecraft on Wednesday, April 8.
The wake-up song tradition is a longstanding one in space exploration, dating back more than 50 years according to NASA. For the Artemis II mission, each of the four astronauts (Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen) selected their own tracks for the historic 10-day voyage, which took them further from Earth than any humans have ever traveled. The crew broke the distance record previously held by the Apollo 13 mission back in 1970 during their lunar flyby.
The full playlist has been a highlight reel in its own right. Previous wake-up calls have included Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club," Glass Animals and Denzel Curry's "Tokyo Drifting," and John Legend and Andre 3000's "Green Light."

Several artists whose songs made the cut have reacted to NASA's Instagram post about the playlist, and the excitement has been palpable. Young & Sick, whose song "Sleepyhead" kicked things off on Day 1, added, "Thank you sooooo much for having me aboard!! My life will never be the same." Even Spotify got in on the fun, commenting "Houston, the taste is impeccable."
NASA has made the full wake-up playlist available on Spotify for anyone who wants to follow along for the remainder of the mission. The crew is expected to land Friday evening, splashing into the Pacific ocean after their descent.
Five Below's Dainty $4 Tray Serves Up Storybook Vibes (and Snacks)
I'm a sucker for a good decorative tray moment. If it's cute and functional? Immediately in my cart. The kind of pieces that can do it all—corral the random clutter on your coffee table one minute, then turn around and serve snacks or drinks the next. It's the ultimate multitasker, and who doesn't love an overachiever?
But the real "add to cart" moment happens when the design leans a little whimsical. Lately, I'm fully in my storybook era—think soft colors, playful patterns and just enough charm to make everyday moments feel a bit more magical. I'm not saying I want to be Snow White, but I am saying I wouldn’t mind channeling her aesthetic without, you know, the whole poisoned apple situation.

Novelty Tray, $4 at Five Below Five Below's Novelty Tray in a bird printFive Below
That's why a pretty printed tray from Five Below feels like such a little indulgence. It's an easy, affordable way to sprinkle a little personality into your space—no woodland creatures required. Its Novelty Tray comes in four different designs: "Bird" (shown above), "Ciao," "Eyes" and "Floral."
I'm partial to the bird motif because it's giving that storybook, slightly Morris & Co. vibe I'm digging right now. But the Ciao pattern is a fun nod to an Italian escape, Eyes serves up a modern energy and Floral is for when you want that vibrant punch of color.

Keep in mind that at $4 a pop, even at Five Below this isn't going to get you a humongous tray. This is definitely sized to corral smaller items on a desk or shelf, or provide just enough room for individual snack portions. Sadly, you won't be able to host an entire party's worth of food off of this tray. Still, it sure is pretty, and $4 is a tough price point to beat.
Five Below always drums up whimsical decor and household items, but it's really outdoing itself at the moment. There's a gorgeous trash can that almost looks like Lilly Pulitzer in its patterning, and a four-pack of flower-shaped drinking glasses that are downright precious. And if you love a retro moment, then you're going to want to head to Five Below for its vinyl record player with speakers that's perfect for stepping back in time just a little bit.

'It Felt So Intimate': 'Grey's Anatomy' Star Opens Up About the Long Island Medium Reading That Brought Her Late Mom Through (Exclusive)
Camilla Luddington is opening up about the most emotional moment of her podcasting career so far, and it almost never made it to air.
The Grey's Anatomy star, who co-hosts the Call It What It Is podcast with former co-star Jessica Capshaw, exclusively told Parade about the unexpected reading from Theresa Caputo that left her "stunned," and which connected her to the mother she lost more than two decades ago.
"We had Theresa Caputo on, who is a Long Island medium," Luddington said. "And my mom came through. My mom passed when I was 19."
Luddington's mother, MaryLuddington, died when the actress was a teenager, long before her breakout as Dr. Jo Wilson on the long-running ABC medical drama. The actress has spoken sparingly but movingly about the loss over the years, but the unannounced reading from the Long Island Medium alum caught her completely off guard.
"We had her on just to talk about her gift, not to do a reading," Luddington explained. "And so that was a moment where I was kind of stunned and didn't honestly know if I was going to air it because it felt like such an intimate thing."
The Moment That Almost Got CutIn the end, Luddington made the call to leave the reading in, and she's glad she did.
"I ended up airing it because I just thought it was actually like a really beautiful moment to be able to share," she told Parade. "But that definitely was crazy. It was wild."
The episode, titled Call It with Theresa Caputo, dropped in October 2024 and remains one of the most talked-about installments of the podcast, which Luddington and Capshaw launched in 2024 as a space to talk Grey Sloan, motherhood and everything in between. For longtime fans of the actress, the episode marked one of the rawest, most personal moments she's ever shared publicly.

Why She Decided to Share It AnywayFor Luddington, the call to keep the reading in the final cut came down to one thing: connection.
"It happens like halfway through," she told Parade, urging fans who haven't heard it to go back and listen. "It's so shocking."
The reveal lands during one of the busiest stretches of Luddington's career. The back half of Grey's AnatomySeason 22 is currently airing on ABC, a season in which her character Jo Wilson nearly died during childbirth, while also managing her own Hashimoto's disease diagnosis. Grey's Anatomy was renewed for Season 23 by ABC last month and is expected to return to the network in fall 2026.
Call It What It Is is on a hiatus, with its last episode released in November 2025. Past episodes—including the Theresa Caputo installment—are available wherever podcasts are heard.
