Before she ever became famous, Lainey Wilson spent years pursuing a country music dream. Now, she’s at the height of her success, having achieved many major career milestones, including multiple Entertainer of the Year Awards. 

Alongside a crowded trophy case, the 33-year-old female powerhouse has scored several No. 1 hits with songs like “Watermelon Moonshine," "Somewhere Over Laredo" and others. 

That success is also giving her a packed schedule, coming off an already busy 2025, which saw her fulfilling dates on her massive headlining Whirlwind World Tour and — on a more personal note — getting engaged to her boyfriend-turned-fiancé Devlin “Duck” Hodges, 29, a former NFL quarterback.

An Upcoming Documentary

If that’s not enough, Wilson has a brand new documentary coming out called Keepin’ Country Cool, and in it, she shares quite the exciting life update.

She has decided to take the next step in growing her family.  

On Wednesday, April 8th, a trailer for the upcoming Netflix documentary showcased Wilson sharing her thoughts on motherhood. She also revealed how those feelings have led her to make a major life decision toward plans to have future babies. 

“I feel it in my heart that I was called to be a mama,” Wilson says in the clip. “But sometimes the Lord just has other plans.” 

She Decided to Freeze Her Eggs

She then says, “I’m gonna freeze my eggs in April, put those babies on ice.” 

The teaser video also showcases the “4X4XU” singer wearing a specialized gown and head covering while in the hospital with Hodges in tow, presumably on the day of her egg-freezing procedure. The attempt to eventually build a family by one comes as Wilson knows how demanding her music career is, and she admits she wears many hats. 

"It is a whirlwind. The performer, the artist, the songwriter, the girl who's going to shake everybody's hand…” she says. “[I’m] just about people-d out."

"I think it is important to show people that I don't have my s--- all together," she continues. "I am thankful for the life that I live. It's about celebrating what we are given. It is a gift. This is all a gift."

Up until now, Wilson hasn’t been very outspoken about her wishes to become a mother. But perhaps the sneak peek at the documentary is just a glimpse of that part of her world that she’s ready to talk about. 

Wilson’s Keepin’ Country Cool documentary premieres April 22 on Netflix.

It's not every successful musical act that manages to achieve the status of pop culture phenomenon, but ABBA definitely deserves that distinction. The Swedish supergroup's tunes have been so popular for so many years they've inspired a Broadway show and two movies, and even though they're not touring anymore, fans are still lining up to see avatars of the band members perform their favorite tracks.

So it might surprise listeners to learn that even though ABBA did have four top ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100, only one of those went to #1. Released in Dec. 1976, "Dancing Queen" became ABBA's first and only absolute chart-topper on April 9, 1977.

The song's success might have had something to do with the fact that ABBA was under pressure to produce a hit when they were writing it. As Jan Gradvall wrote in the book Melancholy Undercover: The book of Abba, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Fältskog went through a "slow period" following their 1974 Eurovision success with “Waterloo," and their attempts to record new music were often interrupted by promotional obligations.

Recorded in August 1975, "Dancing Queen" — ABBA's first foray into disco territory — was influenced by George McCrae’s "Rock Your Baby" and "the New Orleans rhythm on the 1972 album Dr John’s Gumbo," according to The Independent.

“When the recording was done, Bjorn and Benny understood that they had created something special. They went home late that night, ready to play it for their respective partners," Gradvall wrote, adding that Lyngstad "cried" when she first heard it, saying, “I thought it was so incredibly beautiful.” (Fältskog, meanwhile, was sleeping when Ulvaeus got home. He didn't wake her up, so he went over to his sister's house and played it "over and over" for her instead.)

"Dancing Queen" didn't just top the charts all over the globe, it went on to be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2015. Billboard even ranked the track the second-best pop song of all time.

"Opening with a piano roll that cascades across the left-right channels like Farrah Fawcett’s follicles across her shoulder, 'Dancing Queen' eases us in with an ensemble of ethereal voices delivering a dose of secular heaven," wrote Billboard's Joe Lynch.

If ABBA could only hit #1 once, "Dancing Queen" was certainly the right song to win the crown.

Find theme words to fill the board.

Find the “spangram.”

• The spangram describes the puzzle's theme and touches two opposite sides of the board. It may be two words.

Need a hint?

• Find non-theme words to get hints.

Koch emphasized that from such a distance, the divisions we often focus on—borders, cultures, conflicts—seem to fade away. What becomes clear instead is how much humanity shares. In essence: Every person on Earth depends on the same fragile environment, evolved under the same conditions, and is connected by universal experiences of love, survival, and meaning.

Koch's observation echoes a long tradition of astronauts experiencing the "overview effect," which is explained as a cognitive shift that occurs when viewing Earth from space. Yet her words add a uniquely human dimension.

Against an infinite void, Earth becomes not just a home, but a shared miracle. Koch's insight reminds us that exploration is not only about reaching new worlds, but about seeing our own more clearly—and perhaps, treating it and each other with greater care.

On April 9, 1985, Bryan Adams released his soft rock classic “Heaven.” Though the nostalgic ballad wasn’t an instant success, it went on to become a beloved staple in the Canadian singer-songwriter’s catalog and one of the greatest power ballads of all time, according toUltimate Classic Rock. 

Co-written with Jim Vallance and produced alongside Bob Clearmountain, “Heaven” finds Adams, 66, swooning over a particular love interest and feeling as if he’s on Cloud 9 with the person, who seemingly takes his breath away. Over heavy synths, memorable electric guitar licks, and delicate piano chords, he uses his smooth, signature raspy vocals to look back on the early days of a young romance that has blossomed into something more.. 

“Baby, you're all that I want / When you're lyin' here in my arms / I'm findin' it hard to believe / We’re in Heaven / And love is all that I need / And I found it there in your heart / Isn't too hard to see / We're in Heaven,” Adams sings throughout the belting chorus, which showcases his gratitude and undying commitment to someone special in his life. 

Released as the third single from his fourth studio album, Reckless, “Heaven” followed tracks “Run to You” and “Somebody.” The song was a massive success for Adams, but it took him going the extra mile to bring in more attention to the song. Before re-releasing the song as a single off his album, the tune was commissioned for the 1983 movie, A Night in Heaven. 

Despite being a part of the soundtrack for the movie, the success of it came later. Of writing the tune for A Night in Heaven, Adams told theNew York Post, his vision for the track came from the heart.  

“I said, ‘Look, let’s just forget what the film’s about — let’s just write a good song.’ So we wrote that song, submitted it, and it became part of that soundtrack, but the film didn’t do anything, and the soundtrack didn’t do anything,” the ‘80s pop-rock icon explained of the song, which features drumming by Steven Smith of the rock band, Journey. “So I put it onReckless, and it was from that record that it became successful.”

Successful indeed. So much so that the heartfelt track became his first tune to top the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The ballad was also certified Gold the same year of its release in Adams’ native Canada.

The pair first met at a polo match in 1970 and were romantically involved for a year before Charles left for the Royal Navy in 1972. In 1973, Camilla married her first husband, Andrew Parker-Bowles, but remained friends with Charles. The current monarch is a godfather to Andrew and Camilla’s son, Tom. Why Didn’t Queen Elizabeth Attend Charles and Camilla’s Wedding?

The town hall where Charles and Camilla got married is near Windsor Castle, but Charles’ parents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, did not attend the civil ceremony.

During her 70-year reign, Elizabeth served as head of the Church of England and decided it was not appropriate to be at a wedding of two people who were divorced. Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh did attend the subsequent blessing of Charles and Camilla at St. George's Chapel.

Camilla took the title Duchess of Cornwall upon her marriage to the then-Prince of Wales, instead of Princess of Wales, out of respect to Diana, who died in August 1997 after a high-speed car crash.

However, Harry detailed his feelings about Camilla in his 2023 memoir, Spare, calling her “dangerous” and accusing her and his father of planting stories about him, William, and their respective families.

“There are published reports that Willy and I snuck out of the church and hung JUST MARRIED signs on their car. I don’t think so. I might’ve hung a sign, BE HAPPY. If I’d thought of it at the time,” Harry wrote in his memoir, per The Royal Observer. What Did Princess Diana Say About Camilla?

Princess Diana recalled confronting Camilla during a party in 1989 in audiotapes secretly made for Andrew Morton’s book Diana: Her True Story, per Reader’s Digest.

Diana said she went up to Camilla at her sister Annabel’s 40th birthday and said, “I know what's going on between you and Charles and I just want you to know that. Evermore became a major hit upon release, launching The Immortals series and attracting a devoted fan base. Its success helped solidify Noël as a prominent voice in young adult paranormal fiction during a time when the genre was booming.

How Did Prince Philip Die?

Philip died peacefully at age 99 at Windsor Castle. Although his death certificate states “old age” as his cause of death, recent reports claim the Duke secretly battled inoperable pancreatic cancer since 2013. In addition, his death came shortly after a month-long hospital stay following a successful procedure for a pre-existing heart condition and an infection.

Royal historian Hugo Vickers recounted intimate details of Philip’s last night in his book, Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History.

"On the last night of his life, he gave his nurses the slip, shuffled along the corridor on his Zimmer frame, helped himself to a beer and drank it in the Oak Room," Vickers wrote about the Duke, per the Daily Mail. "The following morning, he got up, had a bath, said he did not feel well, and quietly slipped away. By this point, he had lived with pancreatic cancer for nearly eight years — far longer than the usual survival time from diagnosis."

Philip relocated to Wood Farm, a secluded five-bedroom farmhouse on the Sandringham estate, after he retired from his royal duties in August 2017, but he joined the Queen at Windsor Castle amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

The morning Philip died, Elizabeth was not present at his bedside. Author Gyles Brandreth shared details about the monarch’s whereabouts in his book, Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait.

“When he came back [from the bath], he said he felt a little faint and wanted help getting back into bed … The nurse called the Duke’s valet and the Queen’s page, Paul Whybrew, for help — and he died before the Queen could be called,” the author wrote, per Daily Mirror, noting Her Majesty was asleep in a separate room. “The Queen wasn’t yet up … And she wasn’t called until after a doctor had come and pronounced the Duke dead.”

According to Vickers’ biography, Elizabeth was “furious” Philip had “left without saying goodbye.” 

Who Was at Prince Philip’s Funeral?

Philip was famously known for not wanting a lot of fanfare at his funeral. Royal author Anna Pasternak said the Duke “didn’t want a lot of fuss” while speaking to Fox News in April 2021.

"The queen wants to honor him in the way that best reflects his desires, but also touches on the sense of duty that he led in his life," she said. "It’s my understanding he didn’t want the frills of a massive funeral even if we didn’t have a pandemic.”

Philip seemed to receive his final wish, as only 30 mourners were allowed to attend his funeral amid social distancing measures during the COVID pandemic. 

Elizabeth mourned her husband and sat alone in St. George’s Chapel for the funeral service. Other attendees included Philip and Elizabeth’s four children, King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Philip’s grandchildren, including Prince Williamand Prince Harry, and other relatives. Philip’s close friend Penelope Knatchbull, Countess Mountbatten of Burma, who was a close companion later in life, also attended.

In 1978, a low-budget horror film changed the genre forever.

Halloween, directed by John Carpenter, has been ranked among the best movies of all time by Rotten Tomatoes, cementing its place as one of the most influential horror films ever made.

The film follows a masked killer, Michael Myers, who escapes from a psychiatric hospital and returns to his hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois, where he begins stalking a group of teenagers. "There was no trial and error involved in making the music for Halloween," Carpenter said in a 2021 interview. "I knew I was going to use this theme I had developed over the years. But it was based on my father who taught me 5/4 time."

The film's success not only launched a long-running franchise but also helped popularize the slasher genre, influencing countless movies that followed in the decades after its release.

More than 45 years later, Halloween remains a cultural touchstone, especially during the fall season. Since its release, Halloween has spawned more than a dozen sequels and reboots, making it one of the longest-running horror franchises in film history. The series has revisited and reimagined Michael Myers' story across multiple timelines, keeping the character relevant for new generations of audiences.

"Horror is the oldest of genre," Carpenter said. "It was there at the beginning of cinema. Each new generation reinvents horror for its own. We are all afraid. That’s why horror is such a universal genre."

With its inclusion on Rotten Tomatoes' list, the film’s impact is once again reaffirmed—proving that its chilling simplicity and iconic villain continue to define horror cinema.
