While Brady may have a complicated relationship with some of the people in Virgin River, that is not the case with Hollingsworth and his co-stars.

Ahead of filming for Virgin River Season 8, the Hallmark hunk took to social media to share some behind-the-scenes moments of his favorite things from the Netflix original. It turns out his favorite things are the people he works with on Virgin River.

Hollingsworth posted a carousel of photos from Season 7, which dropped last month, showcasing some special moments and people from the set. Kandyse McClure (Kaia Bryant), Zibby Allen (Brie), Colin Lawrence (John "Preacher" Middleton), Kai Bradbury (Denny), Sarah Dugdale (Lizzie), Marco Grazzini (Mike), as well as stunt doubles and production crew members, were all featured in his social media share.

The photos he picked showcased Kaia and Brady working during a massive wildfire, Brie on a horse, stills from the Virgin River Founders Day episodes, and other moments from the season that meant a lot to Hollingsworth.

“The thing I love is them. #VirginRiver #Netflix #Season7,” he wrote as the caption on his Instagram post.

Season 8 of Virgin River was confirmed long before Season 7 premiered. According to People magazine, the new season is scheduled to start filming later this month and will premiere in 2028.

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 12:00pm

Eric Dane was a household name in the entertainment industry for years—but at the center of his life was his wife,Rebecca Gayheart.

Following Dane’s death on Feb. 19, 2026, at age 53, fans are looking back at the decades-long love story he shared with Gayheart—one marked by passion, challenges, reconciliation and ultimately, deep friendship.

Though the pair tied the knot in the early aughts, Dane and Gayheart had their share of ups and downs over the years—including a divorce filing that was later dismissed. In the months before his death, Dane grew emotional when speaking about Gayheart’s unwavering support after revealing his ALS diagnosis in April 2025.

“I talk to her every day," he said on Good Morning America. "We have managed to become better friends and better parents and she is … my biggest champion. My most stalwart supporter. And I lean on her."

Was Eric Dane married?

Yes. At the time of his death in February 2026, Dane was still legally married to Gayheart. He and Gayheart tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2004 after meeting the year prior.

"It's probably one of the least interesting stories in the world,” Dane previously toldFlaunt magazine in 2008. “It went basically like this: 'You wanna go out?' 'Yeah, sure.' Ten months later, we were married."

Although Gayheart filed for divorce in 2018 after 14 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences, the two ultimately remained close. In March 2025, Gayheart moved to dismiss the divorce filing, and the pair publicly described themselves as best friends and devoted co-parents.

What does Rebecca Gayheart do for a living?

Like Dane, Gayheart is also in the entertainment industry. She got her start in the ‘80s as a model and eventually ventured into acting.

Some of the TV shows and movies she has appeared in include Loving, the Vanishing Son franchise, Earth 2, Beverly Hills, 90210, Scream 2, Jawbreaker, Dead Like Me, Nip/Tuck, Vanished, Grey Lady and Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood.

Did Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart have kids?

Yes, Dane and Gayheart share two daughters together: Billie Beatrice Dane, born March 2010, and Georgia Geraldine Dane, born December 2011.

The Euphoria star shared the meaning behind his older daughter’s name during a 2016 appearance on Harry Connick Jr.’s talk show.

"[Billie's] named after my father. ... Whether it was a boy or a girl, the firstborn was gonna be a Billie," he said at the time.

During an appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark in 2024, Dane revealed that both his kids are fans of Grey’s Anatomy, noting that they have seen “every episode” of his.

While speaking to Variety that same year, Dane shared a hilarious story about Georgia asking him about his physique when he was on the show.

"My 12-year-old, when she started watching it a couple of years ago, looked at me and said, ‘Dad, where did your abs go?’ She was serious. She wasn’t making a joke," he told the outlet at the time.

In his final year, Dane frequently emphasized that spending time with his family was his top priority.

Were Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart still together?

While they were not romantically together in recent years, Dane and Gayheart remained legally married and deeply connected. After Gayheart dismissed their divorce in 2025, she described their relationship as a success rather than a failure.

“We really figured out the formula to staying a family,” she told E! News at the time. “I think it’s important to not look at a relationship that ends as a failure. It's just a season.”

Following his ALS diagnosis, Dane publicly credited Gayheart as one of his strongest sources of support.

“At the end of the day, all I want to do is spend time with my family and work a little bit if I can,” he said in one of his final interviews.

2019 Hit Film Ranked Among ‘Best Movies of All Time’

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 11:48am

Rotten Tomatoes, the popular online review site, has compiled the “300 Best Movies of All Time” that they call critic certified and audience-approved. The list includes classics like Casablanca, Rear Window, and 12 Angry Men. There are also more recent films like Top Gun: Maverick and The Wild Robot.

One of the films that made the list, which is considered a cinematic masterpiece and won several awards at Cannes Film Festival, is Portrait of a Lady on Fire. Known as Portrait de la jeune fille en feu in French, this 2019 film follows the story of an aristocrat and a painter commissioned to paint her portrait who end up having an affair. The film was directed by Céline Sciamma and stars Noémie Merlant and Adèle Haenel.

The film, which currently has a 97% critic score and 92% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, was nominated for Independent Spirit Awards, Critics' Choice Awards, and Golden Globe Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.

One reviewer called it, "A gorgeous period piece. This film lacks nothing in direction, acting, and camera work. I was charmed by the characters, the stern landscapes, and the lighting in this movie. It’s a must-see.”

Another raved, “Claire Mathon’s stunning cinematography is achingly beautiful to gaze upon. Each frame is worthy of being hung in an art gallery, and each shot conveys so much meaning.”

This was Sciamma’s first period drama and first adult romance. When speaking with BFI, she said, “I directed three coming-of-age stories, and now I’m a 40-year-old woman. I felt it was time not to tell the story of self-discovery but of grown women. I wanted to craft a love story and tell the story of women artists. I wanted it to be a mix of a creative story and a romance.”

She also spoke about the importance of fire throughout the film. “There’s a flame—whether it’s physically there or you hear it—in almost every frame, except when they’re outside during the day,” she said. “I thought it was so rich because it’s the fire between the two women. It’s the fire within them. It’s anger and it’s destruction.”

Portrait of a Lady on Fire came in 129 on the list of "300 Best Movies of All Time," a few spots above Good Will Hunting and The Silence of the Lambs.

'90s Country King, 73, Leaves Fans Breathless at Recent Concert: 'He's Still So Hot'

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 11:16am

George Straitjust proved again why they call him the King of Country — and at 73, he's showing absolutely no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

The legendary artist took the stage at Austin's Moody Center on April 9, delivering a performance that had fans nostalgic about his '90s heyday while marveling at how little has changed simultaneously. When Strait launched into classics like, "Amarillo By Morning," the crowds’ response was immediate and overwhelming.

"Just saw him last year and I cried hearing this live," one emotional fan shared, capturing the kind of reaction Strait consistently inspires cross-generationally.

The comments flooding social media after the show tell the whole story. "He's still so hot," one admiring fan noted, while another simply declared him to be "the goat" — highest praise across all genres. Someone else pleaded: "Take me to a George Strait concert date please," because apparently experiencing Strait live has become relationship goals for country music fans.

George Strait's Legendary Career Shows Why He's Still Selling Out Arenas

Here's what makes George Strait absolutely remarkable: he's been doing his thing for over 40 years without changing his approach to fit the trends. No chasing anything. No image reinventions. Just genuine, authentic country music delivered exactly the way fans fell in love with it in the first place.

The statistics behind his career border on unbelievable. Sixty number one singles — more than any artist in any genre ever. He has over 70 million albums sold and thirty-three platinum or multi-platinum albums, a number exceeded only by The Beatles and Elvis Presley across all recorded music history.

Perhaps most impressively, Strait maintained a Top 10 hit every single year for more than three decades straight — something no other artist in popular music has accomplished.

He didn't achieve this dominance by playing industry games. He did it by refusing to be anyone other than himself and refusing to play anything except the music he believed in.

After his 2006 Country Music Hall of Fame induction, Strait could have easily coasted by on his legacy alone. But instead, he kept recording, kept performing, and kept topping charts. He literally was keeping his nose to the grandstone and staying in his lane. He did the work and now, he’s reaping those benefits. His 2014 Cowboy Rides Away Tour finale at AT&T Stadium in Dallas drew over 104,000 people, breaking North American indoor concert attendance records for a single night.

When he originally launched his Las Vegas residency series, demand was so great that what began as a limited run ended up extending well into the next year.

The Austin show demonstrated exactly why fans keep showing up. "Sounds like he still has it," one happy concertgoer observed — which might actually be the understatement of the century.

At 73, George Strait delivers the same authentic, heart-on-his-sleeve country music vibes that he's been perfecting since 1981. His cowboy hat hasn't changed. The voice hasn't diminished. Most impressive is that his connection with audiences remains as strong as ever.

Some artists spend their entire careers searching for their professional identity; their place. Strait walked onto the scene knowing exactly who he was — and four decades later, fans are still happy he never wavered.

Why This Stunning New All-Inclusive in Miches Is the Dominican Republic’s Best-Kept ‘Quiet Luxury’ Secret

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 11:10am

If you’ve been dreaming of a Caribbean getaway that actually allows everyone's nervous system to exhale—especially the 'designated family logistics manager'—you’ll want to put Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton at the top of your 2026 travel list. While we’ve long loved the Dominican Republic for its white-sand paradise, the experience has often been a trade-off: you get the ease of an all-inclusive, but sometimes lose that sense of "place." Zemi Miches, which opened last summer and is just now being discovered as the anchor of the DR's new quiet luxury enclave, is here to fix that. Set on the Northeastern Coast on Playa Esmeralda, it’s a serene, palms-fringed hideaway that feels more like a boutique find than a massive resort.

In the past few years, there's been a wave of new "elevated all-inclusive" stays across Mexico and the Caribbean, bringing an almost cruise-ship-like focus on specialized dining and immersive activities. Industry experts are noting that everything's going all-inclusive—even old-school luxury properties. It makes total sense. Rather than worrying about every expense, families want to just relax. At Zemi, you lose nothing in the trade-off. It's basically a "designer" all-inclusive—you get high-end service, posh design and a real cultural connection, but it’s remarkably affordable and a total win for Hilton Honors points.

Discovering Miches, DR's Hidden Gem

Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton

For those who haven’t yet experienced this corner of the island, Miches is a departure from the densely packed, high-traffic resort zones of Punta Cana. Located about 90 minutes west of the airport, it’s an authentic fishing village where the mountains cap the bay and the water is famously calm. Thanks to increased service from major carriers and a simple ride via transport van, it’s a surprisingly easy-to-get-to stay at a points-friendly price point for such an elevated experience. The New York Timeshighlighted Miches for 2026 because while a few big names have moved in recently, it still feels delightfully undiscovered—where you can sail or kayak in glassy waters and feel like you have the open ocean all to yourself.

Design Rooted in Tradition

Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton

The lobby is stunning and immediately greets you with a warm, earth-toned embrace—a mix of deep brown, graphite and taupe. With its sculptural wooden accents and artisanal motifs, the space feels more like a curated gallery than just another ubiquitous luxury lobby. This thoughtful design carries throughout the entire property, tracing a path through the outside walkways and guest rooms. The architecture, designed by Antonio Imbert Simples, and the interiors by Adriana Hoyos, draw inspiration from the Taíno people—the indigenous residents known for their harmonious connection to nature. As Manuela Fahringer, General Manager at Zemi Miches, explains, throughout the development process, the team worked closely with artists and artisans whose work reflects Dominican culture and heritage. "The vision was to create a property that reflects the spirit of the Dominican Republic, incorporating local materials, textures and colors found in the landscapes of Miches, from the ocean and beaches to the mountains and tropical vegetation."

Accommodations and The Bungalow Upgrade

Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton

Inside the rooms, the vibe is "low-profile luxury outpost." Accommodations offer views of the calm, fine sands of Playa Esmeralda, with interiors that combine modern elements (plenty of USB ports!) and eco-conscious materials. The dark wood and locally inspired art give the space plenty of character that feels warm and cozy despite the impressive square footage. Select rooms include balconies, while 119 ground-floor suites feature private plunge pools.

For those looking to level up, the Club Azure (the resort's premium concierge category) might be worth the splurge—especially if using Hilton Honors points. Club Azure guest rooms and suites include access to a private check-in, a personal concierge and the Club Azure rooftop infinity pool. This elevated perch is also home to The Royal Palm, a vintage-inspired rooftop lounge where you can sip handcrafted cocktails and enjoy light bites while taking in million-dollar views of the bay.

For multi-generational families or groups of friends, the Bungalows, located at a completely isolated end of the property, feature massive central living areas with floor-to-ceiling glass sliders and textured coralina stone walls that mirror the rugged shoreline just outside. The private, palm-lined perches feel entirely secluded, allowing the mental noise of daily life finally drop away, so busy parents and grandparents can simply rediscover their own thoughts.

Bungalow guests get the ultimate shoreline views with exclusive access to Jagua, a dedicated all-day dining restaurant. With jungle-inspired décor and a refined, seafood-focused menu curated by Executive Chef Frankely Castillo, it’s the ideal spot for a milestone anniversary or intimate rehearsal dinner. Enjoy a front-row seat to the sunset with elevated dishes like fresh-caught Caribbean lobster and sea bass that showcase the region's flavors.

A Flavorful Journey From Thailand to Amalfi and Back to the Dominican Coast

Meghann Foye

The culinary program here is also a far cry from the generic buffet—or now ubiquitous slate of standard all-inclusive fare. With 14 venues, the focus is on chef-driven quality that celebrates the Amalfi Coast, Thailand and the Caribbean. We ate at Boba the first night—the elevated Thai street food, including a green papaya salad with fresh chunks of papaya and flavorful chilis, was otherworldly. Toa, the flagship signature restaurant, focuses on authentic Caribbean and Taíno heritage cuisine. Manicato transports you to Italy with wood-fired pizzas and house-made pastas, while Yuca elevates Caribbean fire-cooking to an art form—my beachside jerk chicken for lunch was perfectly spicy and next-level.

Even the buffet at Guacete is distinctive. I had grilled squid, swordfish and tuna made fresh for me on the grill, plus authentic paella, while others tried the hand-made Caesar salad. We all couldn't help ourselves with multiple servings of the coconut ice cream and fresh guavas from the fruit bar. One of my personal highlights was Dujo, the lobby’s coffee and espresso hub. It became my morning go-to for iced vanilla lattes and perfectly puffy mini donuts, then transitioned into a social spot for rum drinks and spirit tastings later in the day.

Then there's the "secret" move: a hidden 1920s-style speakeasy through a special door, serving craft cocktails with a cabaret-style singer and live band. For a more relaxed evening, Serra elevates the sports bar concept with gastropub flair, or you can head to the cigar bar for hand-rolled Dominican favorites.

Kids, Teens and The Ultimate Recharge

Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton

Wellness is a central value here, anchored by the 16,000-square-foot Acana Spa & Wellness center right at the heart of the property. It features a more traditional version of the hydrothermal circuit with a pool, cold plunge and jacuzzi to fully take you out of your head before a treatment. I highly recommend the Moringa Vitality Facial Ritual using gua-sha techniques and botanical "miracle" oils made nearby on the mountains.

While parents are at the spa—or a totally included reformer pilates class—the younger generation has plenty to explore. The Coki Cove Kids Club offers a vibrant mix of cultural programming and marine conservation workshops, plus a kids’ bakery that is a total hit. Teens have their own dedicated space at the Palmchat Teens Club, which almost like a big kids' version of a lounge, complete with a bowling alley, arcade, cinema and even a virtual reality escape room. Out by the waterpark, four massive slides keep the energy high for the adventurous ones in the group.

The Show-Stopper Sunset

Meghann Foye

What blew me away most was that every little detail felt Dominican first, Hilton second. Unlike the crowded party scene-style or overcrowded mega resorts where you fight for a lounger at 7 a.m., the peace here is palpable. The pool at night was the true show-stopper, featuring little spaces carved into the water—almost like palm tree leaves—with flickering fire pits. Sitting there with a ginger-hibiscus mocktail as the sun turns the clouds purple and pink was pure magic.

As Fahringer notes, families have been particularly enthusiastic about the balance between relaxation for parents and engaging activities for children, while still maintaining an elevated and sophisticated environment throughout the resort. "Zemi Miches places a strong emphasis on experiential programming and holistic wellness, combining thoughtful design, nature integration and unique concepts such as cultural ceremonies and curated culinary moments to create a more meaningful and immersive stay." Whether you’re scrubbing local amber for jewelry making or kayaking in the bay, you leave with memories that feel not only luxurious, but distinctly Dominican.

On This Day 39 Years Ago, Johnny Depp Got His First Big Break with 1987's '21 Jump Street'

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 11:06am

Nowadays, it's easy to forget Johnny Depp was once a relatively unknown actor struggling to establish a foothold in the larger entertainment industry.

Having gone on to appear in some of the biggest, most critically acclaimed movies of the '90s, 2000s and 2010s, Depp has long since established himself as a cultural icon in mainstream entertainment, as seen through his starring roles in everything from Edward Scissorhands andPirates of the Caribbeanto Rango and Donnie Brasco.

In the mid 1980s, however, Depp was still and up-and-coming young actor whose stardom came courtesy of Fox's 1987 police procedural drama, 21 Jump Street.

Starring in the first four seasons of the series, Depp appeared as the dashing young police officer Tom Hanson, a member of the experimental Jump Street task force that featured youthful-looking officers going undercover as ordinary teenagers.

Upon its premiere on April 12, 1987, 21 Jump Street managed to become an early hit for Fox, roping in a younger audience demographic than the network was accustomed to at the time. Of course, it also gave Depp a platform that helped establish him as a teen heartthrob, setting the stage for his successful transition to film by the early 1990s.

While a popular TV series at the time, 21 Jump Street's fame was later eclipsed by its satirical 2012 film remake starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. In addition to featuring a similar plot to the original show, the movie also included a number of cameos from the 1987 series, including Depp, Holly Robinson and Peter DeLuise.

Humorously, Depp and DeLuise even appeared as older versions of their characters from the original Jump Street, something directly referenced in the 2012 film.

"Oh, you guys are Jump Street?" Depp's character asks Hill and Tatum at one point in the film. "That's funny because we were actually Jump Street."

Tom Dumont Shares Health Update View this post on Instagram

I’ve been doing really well.”

Where did Jocelyn Hudon meet her husband?

Manley and Hudon had a Hollywood meet-cute in 2015.

"We met through our mutual self-tape coach (the person who films our auditions), and we’re also with the same acting agent," Hudon told Entertainment Tonight. "We ended up driving to our agent's summer party together and have been together ever since."

When did Jocelyn Hudon and Jake Manley get married?

In August 2020, the pair booked an Airbnb in Montreal, and unbeknownst to Hudon at the time, Manley had 1,000 red roses delivered to the property and arranged on the roof. It was a reference to a scene in the Season 1 finale of Gilmore Girls, in which Lorelai (Lauren Graham) tells her then-boyfriend Max (Scott Cohen) that a proper proposal should include, among other things, "a thousand yellow daisies."

When they arrived and went to the rooftop, Manley popped the question. He captioned photos of the sweet moment, "5 years and Forever."

The couple eloped in Las Vegas on Halloween 2021, and it looked like a super fun wedding.

Hudon told Entertainment Tonight in 2022 that Halloween is her favorite day of the year, and in 2021, it fell on a Sunday, which meant she had time to celebrate since she wasn't working that day.

"I've always had Vegas in the back of my mind—when I went to university, I met this girl who told me it was her dream to do a Vegas wedding and that always stuck with me," she said.

View this post on Instagram

The couple spent just one day planning the nuptials and texting family and friends about their short-notice wedding.

"We actually had a surprising number of people fly in super last minute for it, which was so awesome," she said.

Hudon wore a stunning strapless black dress that she bought on Etsy, and an Elvis Presley impersonator (in costume as a zombie!) officiated the ceremony.

"I tried to mentally prepare my mom for a strange wedding," Hudon said. "I told her that this isn’t going to be a perfect, traditional wedding—we’re going to get married next to a Cadillac, in a tunnel and Elvis is dressed as a zombie. But luckily, zombie Elvis went above and beyond what I expected, and my dad walked me down the aisle, which was awesome."

The couple's reception was at the Velveteen Rabbit, a cocktail bar with a vintage aesthetic, and they didn't have a traditional wedding cake since time was of the essence. Instead, they had several, all from Milk Bar.

"They were out of the large ones and you couldn’t order in advance, so we had to same-day gamble that they had a bunch of mini ones in stock," Hudon said. "My friends drove to Milk Bar, picked up the cakes and brought them around with us the entire day. It was hilarious."

How did Jake Manley get famous?

Manley grew up in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, a suburb of Toronto.

He told Wonderland magazine that it took him a bit of time to get his footing as a working actor.

"Right after high school I went to UCLA for half the year for the film program, because I still wanted to do film," he said. "And then I dropped out of that, came back home, and it wasn’t until then that I started to pursue acting."

Manley made his screen debut in the guest-starring role of Derek Moore in The CW series Beauty & the Beast. From there, he continued guest-starring roles in numerous shows, including Cracked, American Gothic and American Gods and landed recurring roles in Heroes Reborn and iZombie.

In 2019, he appeared on the big screen as Willie West in the World War II thriller Midway, which is based on a true story. Manley said his role as a young pilot in the film—the cast of which also boasted Woody Harrelson, Nick Jonas, Brandon Sklenar, Mandy Moore, Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson and Aaron Eckhart, among others—resonated the most with him out of every other project in his career.

"I definitely gravitate towards true stories and real people. I love researching a person and figuring out their mindset," he told A Book Of. "I also feel like it’s a great responsibility to portray a real figure. It’s a good kind of pressure. Though it wasn’t the biggest role, the weight of WW2 and what these men had to go through hit me hard. The empathy was just there, it wasn’t hard work."

His first starring role came in 2020 with The Order, in which he starred with his longtime friend and high school classmate Adam DiMarco. The Netflix series ran for two seasons on the streaming giant.

It hit me,” she recalled. “My previous boyfriend was really mean. And I thought, [Apatow's] nice. This is the type of person I should be with. And then we made out after the game.”

Maude’s acting career began on her dad’s sets. Of the movies he’s directed, she’s appeared in Knocked Up, This Is 40, Funny People and The King of Staten Island.

While filming This Is 40, she tweeted, “My dad just screamed at me during the scene, ‘MAUDE! LOOK LIKE YOU’RE ENJOYING LIFE!!!’” Apatow addressed the comment in a 2012 feature about Maude in The New York Times, saying, “A few times I pushed Maude to commit more to her performance, and she got mad at me and then did something wonderful.”

Is Maude Apatow a nepo baby?

Technically, yes, but she’s determined to be a success in her own right. “At first it was sad [about the label],” she told Net-a-Porter. But “I try not to let it get to me because I obviously understand that I’m in such a lucky position. A lot of people [in a similar position] have proven themselves over the years, so I’ve got to keep going and make good work.”

What Was Eric Dane's Net Worth at the Time of His Death? All About The Late McSteamy Star's Acting Career

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 11:00am

Just a few weeks after saying goodbye to Dawson's Creek icon James Van Der Beek (who died at age 48 from colorectal cancer on Feb. 11), the world has lost another beloved TV hunk: Eric Dane, best known for his roles in Grey's Anatomy and Euphoria, died on Thursday, Feb. 19 at the age of 53.

His cause of death was complications related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease; Dane went public with his diagnosis just 10 months before his untimely death.

“With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS,” the Dane family said in a public statement. “He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife [Rebecca Gayheart], and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world.”

A regular fixture on mega-popular television shows, as well as a veritable sex symbol thanks to his famous Grey's character Dr. Mark "McSteamy" Sloan, Dane was one of the most recognizable actors in the business, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that his net worth was equally impressive. Here's everything we know about Eric Dane's net worth, as well as a look back at his Hollywood career.

It's unclear how much money Dane made on Grey’s Anatomy, as the exact figures have not been publicly revealed.

Dane starred on the long-running medical drama from Season 3 to Season 8 before being killed off at the beginning of Season 9. He later returned as a guest star in Season 17, visiting Ellen Pompeo’s character Meredith on an imaginary beach when she was in a COVID-induced coma.

During a 2024 appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Dane explained he didn’t really have a say in his character getting the boot.

“I think I was let go,” he said, noting that he was struggling with addiction at the time. “They didn’t let me go because of that, although it definitely didn’t help. I was starting to become—as most of these actors who have spent significant time on a show—you start to become very expensive for the network. And the network knows that the show is going to do what it’s going to do irrespective of who they keep on it. As long as they have their Grey, they’re fine.”

He added, “I wasn’t the same guy they had hired. So I had understood when I was let go. And Shonda [Rhimes] was really great. She protected us fiercely. She protected us publicly. This Beloved 1972 Soft Rock Song Hit No. 1—and Still Feels Timeless

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 10:42am

In May of 1972, Australian singer, actor, activist, and TV host Helen Reddy would release one of her biggest hits that became a timeless feminist anthem.

The track "I Am Woman" topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts in the No. 1 spot and ranked at No. 2 on the Adult Contemporary charts. It also became certified Gold by the RIAA, having sold a million copies upon its release. Its iconic line of "I am woman, hear me roar" became a pop culture staple and cemented the track as an enduring feminist anthem for the women's liberation movement.

Reddy wrote the track alongside Ray Burton, and it first appeared on her debut album, I Don't Know How to Love Him, in May of 1971. In 1972, it gained some traction, having appeared in the closing credits of the Jacqueline Bissetand Stella Stevens film Stand Up and Be Counted. The song came about as Reddy was asked to produce a full-fledged album for Capitol Records and looked to include a song about her growing passion for female empowerment.

"I couldn't find any songs that said what I thought being woman was about. I thought about all these strong women in my family who had gotten through the Depression and world wars and drunken, abusive husbands. But there was nothing in music that reflected that," said Reddy in a 2003 interview.

Related: 1978 Soft Rock Hit Ranked Among ‘Sappiest Love Songs’ Revived This Singer’s Career

Despite not considering herself a songwriter, Reddy felt she needed to develop a track that expressed the political movement of the era. Upon the creation of "I Am Woman," the singer didn't see it as a hit track despite it being well-received among fans as her concert opener. The success of the 1972 film led Capitol Records to choose the track for a singles release, with the newly recorded version gaining popularity.

"I Am Woman" was a commercial success that landed Reddy a Grammy win for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance". Her acceptance speech had gained notoriety for famously having said, "And I would like to thank God, because she makes everything possible."

Reddy believed the track extended far beyond feminism, serving as a general empowerment song, having once quoted her doctor brother-in-law as having played the track every morning during medical school. The track re-entered the Billboard charts at No.2 following the singer's death in 2020.

1965 Cover of an Iconic Bob Dylan Song Became a No. 1 Hit Single 61 Years Ago

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 10:41am

"Mr. Tambourine Man" was originally written and released by Bob Dylan in March 1965. It was the first track on the acoustic side of his album, Bringing It All Back Home. However, the band that popularized the song was The Byrds. They released a cover on April 12, 1965 as their first single. They went on to name their debut album Mr. Tambourine Man. The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the UK singles chart.

Although the original Dylan song has four verses, The Byrds only used the second verse in their rendition. Both songs appear on the Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time." They listed the Byrds cover as No. 230 and explained, “As the song was breaking, a curious Bob Dylan checked out the band at Ciro’s, a Los Angeles club. Reportedly, he didn’t recognize some of his own songs in their electrified versions.”

Related: 1954 Rock and Roll Song Became an Iconic Party Anthem 72 Years Ago

With over 4 million views of the song on their YouTube VEVO channel, the tune is still popular to this day. One fan commented, “The Byrds covering ‘Mr Tambourine Man' not only firmly put Dylan on the map as one the most prolific songwriters of the 20th century but it also signified the birth of folk rock.”

Many others spoke about how nostalgic the music made them, with one saying, “What an epic masterpiece. It takes me back to when I was eight years old, riding my bike past our local drive-in. They had two old speakers hanging off the building, for those who chose to eat outside. That day, driving by that drive-in, they were blasting this song. It was the coolest thing I ever heard. It was 1967. I am sixty years old now, and when I hear this song it instantly takes me back to that summer day in 1967, riding on that bike. I feel eight years old again, not a care in the world.”

The Byrds, an iconic rock band who formed in 1964, released other popular tracks including "Eight Miles High," "Turn! Turn! Turn!," and "I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better.” In 1991, the band was officially inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Several members went on to have successful solo careers or join other bands.

'Beyond the Gates' Marquita Goings Reveals the 'Mind-Blowing' Moment She Learned of Haley’s Deadly Plan

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 10:39am

One of the central storylines on Beyond the Gates involves Haley Hamilton (Marquita Goings) plotting to kil her husband, Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett). Now, Going’s is opening up about when she learned of the shocking twist, and her take on Haley’s plan to “kill Bill.”

“I knew in detail maybe two months before we filmed the reveal what was really going on,” Goings exclusively told Parade.

The actress admitted she initially sensed something was off with her character, recalling an early moment on set. “When I first started filming, I was going to play Haley a different way on a take, and the producer's said, ‘No, no, no, keep doing what you were doing, because there's going to be a twist.’ I was like, ‘okay’,

Goings descripted receiving the scripts revealing the twist as “mind-blowing.”

She added that executive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers later brought her into the office to break down the storyline in more detail. “I was just like ‘this is gonna be fun,’” Goings recalled.

Goings said not knowing the full extent of the twist early on ultimately helped shape her performance. “I think it's good that I didn't fully know, because even though Haley is a nemesis and people don't like her. She was still very sweet, in a sense,” she explained.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

Reflecting on Haley’s early portrayal, Goings said she approached the character as someone “trying to win everybody back over.”

“Her approach was never nasty, like ‘I got your man.’” Goings said. “It was apologetic, although the situation wasn't right.”

She added that knowing the twist too early could have changed her performance. “I feel like if I would have played her nasty. I think that would have bled into now knowing that she really is a nasty person,” she said.

“I feel like there's more layers to Haley now,” Goings added. “and we’re still just at the surface.”

Beyond the Gates airs new episodes weekdays on CBS with episodes streaming weeknights on Paramount Plus. Viewers can check out the series from the beginning on Paramount Plus or on Pluto TV’s dedicated 24/7 Beyond the Gates FAST channel.

Randy Quaid, Known as Cousin Eddie in the ‘Vacation’ Movies, Sports Long White Beard in Rare Appearance

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 10:37am

Randy Quaid became a comedy legend in the role of Cousin Eddie in the Vacationmovies. But in the present day, we barely recognize the actor with a long white beard stretching down past his chin!

Quaid, 75, made us laugh in a handful of the Vacation films, thanks to his ridiculous behavior as Cousin Eddie, as he mooches off Clark W. Griswold and his wife Ellen, played by Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo. But in real life, Quaid has a bevy of acclaimed roles under his belt, ranging from A Streetcar Named Desire to Elvis, for which he received endless praise.

In a rare public appearance, Quaid posed for a quick photo alongside Married With Children alum David Faustino, who hasn't changed a bit since his days as Bud Bundy on the memorable sitcom. With that hefty white beard, we almost didn't realize it was Quaid!

The Christmas Vacation Cast Reunited Last Year

Quaid reprised his role as Cousin Eddie in 1989's Christmas Vacation, which featured the iconic character emptying his trailer's septic tank into the sewer while wearing a bathrobe. Last year, Quaid reunited with Chase, D'Angelo, and Juliette Lewis, who played the role of Audrey, for a photo at Rhode Island Comic Con. The foursome of stars, who have each done tremendous work in the more than 36 years since the film premiered, shocked fans in the sweet moment.

D’Angelo told PEOPLE back in 2022 that she initially was set to turn down the role of Ellen Griswold in the first Vacation movie. She was primarily a dramatic actress, and she felt she was too young to play the mother of a teenager.

“I was so sure that I wasn’t the right person,” she told the publication. However, her agent made it clear that the film was “very funny,” and when she met Chase, she recognized they had a connection with “great chemistry.”

“It was like meeting my brother,” D’Angelo recalled.

Love on the Spectrum's Georgie Introduces New Boyfriend After Connor Split

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 10:37am

Love on the Spectrum star Georgie Harris introduced her new boyfriend to the world after her heartbreaking split from Connor Tomlinson.

"Luke and I have been waiting for a little time after the series came out to tell you guys about him," Georgie captioned an Instagram Reel of their relationship on Sunday, April 12. "We have been dating for a while. The series takes about a year to film then they have to decide what are the best scenes to have in LOTS."

"Luke has Williams Syndrome, was my friend for 3 years prior, and matches my energy. I would like you to say Hello to Luke," she added. "These pictures are mostly from Valentines Day this year and Prom Possible."

View this post on Instagram

Georgie and Connor became fan favorites after being set up on a blind date during season 3 of the Netflix series. Connor was instantly taken by Georgie's looks, likening her to a "demi-goddess."

The pair dated for a year before traveling to London for their anniversary. Throughout season 4, however, fans watched as Connor began to question Georgie's interest in him.

They ultimately called it quits off-camera as Connor felt she was uninterested during their time together in the U.K.

"Dating and relationships can be difficult and complicated, and as you spend more time with a person, you may learn they are not the perfect match," Connor told Tudum after the April 1 season premiere. "It is important to take care of yourself and prioritize your own wants and needs for a true connection."

While it's unclear exactly when Connor and Georgie broke up, Connor attended co-stars Madison Marilla and Tyler White's engagement party solo after they got engaged in July 2025.

Nicolas Cage to Return For 'Lord of War' Sequel 21 Years After Original Movie

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 10:28am

Over two decades following the release of Lord of War, Nicolas Cage is officially set to return for a long-awaited sequel to the 2005 crime drama, with current plans slated to release the film in 2027.

According to Deadline, the highly anticipated sequel, titled Lords of War, is churning along towards its upcoming theatrical release date next year. As per the outlet, Vertical has officially acquiring the distribution rights for the film, with the studio set to show off a tantalizing first look at the film at Las Vegas' CinemaCon next week.

As expected, Cage returns to portray the infamous arms dealer Yuri Orlov for the upcoming sequel to his 2005 drama film. This time around, however, Yuri comes into contact with a son he never knew he had (played by It's Bill Skarsgård) who is plotting to usurp his father's role as the world's deadliest arms supplier.

Co-starring Laura Harrier, Sylvia Hoeks and Greg Tarzan Davis, the film currently does not have an official theatrical release date set, although it has been confirmed to premiere in 2027.

As some viewers might remember, the original Lord of War found Cage playing a heavily fictionalized version of a real-life arms dealer, specifically focusing on his exploits up to and after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Appearing alongside fellow Hollywood heavyweights Jared Leto, Bridget Moynahan, Ian Holm and Ethan Hawke, the film wound up earning mixed reviews from critics, although most of its positive reception was geared towards Cage's central performance.

Of course, Lords of War remains just one of many projects the 62-year-old Cage is currently involved with. Later this year, the Raising Arizona star is set to star in the biographical drama Madden, as well as the superhero mystery series Spider-Noir.

He's also set to appear in multiple movies that currently lack a formal release date, including The Prince, Fortitude and Best Pancakes in the County.

Fragrances have always been a deeply personal beauty product that can create strong olfactory memories. Think about it: How often do you smell something and instantly associate it with the signature scent of someone you love?

Fragrance trends are constantly evolving, so some perfumes inevitably get discontinued over time. And even when a brand continues to produce a scent from decades past, they can get overshadowed by new releases. Still, some vintage fragrances deserve a comeback, so Parade asked a perfumer to share her picks that should be on our radar.

We chatted with Anne Serrano-McClain of MCMC Fragrances, a Brooklyn-based perfume company that sources the highest quality ingredients from all over the world. Serrano-McClain studied at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery in southern France before starting her own fragrance line. During her studies, she took a year-long class on the history of perfumes, so she's particularly well-versed in vintage scents.

Here, Serrano-McClain also schools us on the art of wearing perfumes and shares some invaluable knowledge about what makes classic fragrances smell different from modern versions.

Top Vintage Fragrances Why Vintage Perfumes Are Trending Again

In fashion, everything old becomes new once again eventually, but in the fragrance world, many perfumes disappear into the archives, never to be seen again. Still, Serrano-McClain has seen a rise in the popularity of vintage fragrances recently.

"We are seeing a wave of nostalgia for all types of vintage fashion, like the recent explosion in '90s styling. Vintage fragrances are really great and as people delve deeper into perfume fandom, they are discovering a lot of fragrances that are older and realizing the variety that exists," she says.

Why Classic Perfumes Smell Different From Modern Ones

If you've ever worn a classic perfume, you've likely noticed that they smell a bit different from modern varieties. As it turns out, there's a perfectly logical reason for that.

"Perfume evolves and tends to follow similar trajectories to culture and fashion, so it goes without saying that each era has its own style of perfumes," Serrano-McClain tells Parade.

For instance, the perfume pro says that "heavy, powdery fragrances" like Chanel No. 5 were popular in the 1920s, while "stronger, heavier scents" like Yves Saint Laurent's Opium were more on trend in the 1980s. In the 1990s, "minimal, clear fragrances" like CK One and Clinique Happy were popular.

"I think classic perfumes smell different from modern ones because each era defines the scents we wear," Serrano-McClain says.

Why Some Vintage Scents Were Reformulated or Discontinued

You might assume that some vintage fragrances have been reformulated or discontinued simply because they weren't popular or didn't sell well. But Serrano-McClain says there's a regulating body called the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) that "recommends standards for ingredients in consumer beauty products."

"As their research changes, they continually update the guidelines for how much an ingredient can be present in a given concentration. Due to these changing guidelines, older fragrances need to update their formulas," she explains.

Additionally, the availability of certain ingredients also plays a factor in the decision to reformulate or discontinue certain fragrances.

"In some cases, an ingredient that was once abundant or affordable may not be anymore. For example, the price of Bourbon vanilla from the Reunion Islands can fluctuate wildly depending on the weather patterns of that year and the harvest they get," Serrano-McClain says.

What Fragrance Experts Love About Retro Scents

Serrano-McClain appreciates that retro scents, similar to all scents, evoke emotion.

"Wearing a particular scent on a given day can affect your whole mood," she says.

The perfumer particularly loves powdery floral scents like Dior's J'adore and says it's "so feminine."

"Angel by Thierry Mugler is another scent that is so nostalgic for me. I remember asking my parents for it for Christmas when I was still in middle school. I'm amazed now looking back that Angel was considered the first gourmand fragrance," she says.

How To Wear Vintage Fragrances Today

Not sure how to make vintage fragrances work for your modern lifestyle? Serrano-McClain has one major tip: wear what you love.

"I never wear a fragrance because of its brand, or even reading its description, which can often be misleading," she says. "I smell a fragrance, and if I love it, I wear it. One of my favorite fragrances in my collection is a neroli oil from an airport in Morocco that I bought at the last second before boarding."

9. Best '80s Option: Goutal Paris Eau d'Hadrien, $235

Goutal Paris

"To me, the best vintage fragrances are ones that smell refined and classy, but not necessarily like they are from another era. Eau d'Hadrien is fresh and bright but you can tell that the quality of the ingredients is so refined," Serrano-McClain says.

The brand describes the citrus fragrance, which dates back to 1981, as "fresh and elegant" and the "signature fragrance" of the brand. It has notes of lemon, citron, grapefruit, bergamot, musk, cypress, ylang-ylang and more.

10. Best Early 2000's Option: Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose, $225

"I remember when Frederic Malle launched his brand and it all just felt so new. The name of the perfumer was right on the bottle, which was a first, as we typically never knew the artist behind the scent," she says.

Lipstick Rose, which the brand describes as a "modern take on Hollywood glamour," has notes of grapefruit, violet, rose, iris, raspberry, white musk and more.

Sydney Sweeney Likely Made Big Bucks for Her 'Great Jeans' Ad and She's Got the Net Worth To Prove It

Sun, 04/12/2026 - 10:00am

Few actresses have had quite as successful a recent run as Sydney Sweeney. After her big HBO breakthroughs as Cassie Howard in Euphoria and Olivia Mossbacher in The White Lotus (both of which earned her Primetime Emmy nominations), the 28-year-old blonde beauty further gained mainstream acclaim in high-profile films likeQuentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the $220 million-grossing rom-com Anyone But You (opposite fellow rising star Glen Powell) and the nun-horror flick Immaculate.

Those latter two titles also saw Sweeney as a producer, via her production company Fifty-Fifty Films, which she launched in 2022. The star has discussed how producing has given her autonomy over her own career, telling Vanity Fair: “I love being able to have a seat at the table, have creative say over decisions that would help benefit the project, whether it be the character or budget or time frame, anything that I can do that can help the project succeed.”

And plenty more projects are in the pipeline: the third and final season of Euphoria, of course, but also a rumored remake of the 1960s classic Barbarella. With such a full work schedule, it's no surprise that Sydney Sweeney’s net worth has seen a considerable jump in the past few years.

Here’s everything we know about the star’s estimated fortune plus her professional past.

What is Sydney Sweeney’s net worth?

Through her acting gigs, production projects and brand endorsements (more on those in a minute!), Sydney Sweeney has reportedly accumulated an estimated net worth of $40 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Despite that hefty sum, the actress has publicly shared that she still feels some insecurity when it comes to her finances.

“I come from a family where I saw my parents lose everything, and I am terrified of that,” she revealed in Glamour’s “Women of the Year 2024” issue. “That fear will always be instilled in me. I’m a huge saver. I don’t just go and spend money. I like to invest. I like real estate. I like making, hopefully, smart choices with the money I’m making. But I don’t think I’ll ever actually feel comfortable.”

“It’s a weird feeling when people are like, ‘Oh, you’re successful,’ or say, ‘You’ve made it,’” Sweeney added. “It doesn’t feel like that because there’s so much more I want to accomplish and achieve. I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of what I’d like to do in my life.”

Where does Sydney Sweeney live?

Though born in Spokane, Washington and raised in the Idaho panhandle, Sydney Sweeney’s real estate portfolio nowadays expands far beyond the Pacific Northwest, including a $3 million Tudor-style home in Winwood, CA; a $6.2 million Old Hollywood mansion in Bel-Air; and her most recent addition, a $13.5 million oceanfront compound in Florida, just outside of Key West, as reported by Architectural Digest.

The performer also bought back her family home, which they previously sold after a period of financial hardship, Sweeney revealed during a December 2023 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Per Entertainment Weekly, Sydney explained: “My great-grandma had this beautiful house. It was a two bedroom, cute little house that they lived in. My grandma was born in it. My mom was born in it, and then as the kids got older, they built on the property another home...And when my great-grandpa passed away and my great-grandma got old, they just couldn’t afford to keep it anymore.”

“Last year I called up the owners and was like, I wanna buy my great-grandma’s house back,” she added. “And it’s really cool too. My granny still lives in the house next door, so I'm neighbors with my granny now.”

Is Sydney Sweeney selling her bathwater?

Yes, Sweeney—widely considered a sex symbol in Hollywood and beyond—is selling soap containing a small amount of her actual bathwater. The cheeky wellness product, dubbed “Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss,” is part of a collaboration between the actress and the men’s personal care company, Dr. Squatch.

With a limited-time run that kicked off in May 2025, the soap features natural ingredients like shea butter, sea salt and exfoliating sand, as well as a “morning wood” scent that blends earthy moss, pine and Douglas fir, along with the bathwater.

“When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap,” Sweeney said in a release. “It’s weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that’s not just unforgettable, it actually smells incredible and delivers like every other Dr. Squatch product I love.”

What was the Sydney Sweeney American Eagle controversy about?

While the bathwater soap certainly drew headlines, it was nothing compared to the attention that Sweeney received for a recent American Eagle denim ad that she appeared in.

The campaign, entitled “Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans,” saw the titular star making jeans/genes puns, with voiceovers declaring “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring” and “My body’s composition is determined by my genes” over video clips of the blue-eyed starlet wearing the brand’s denim products.

Viewers took offense at the commercials, which many perceived as playing on eugenics and promoting white supremacy and Western beauty standards. While Sweeney herself hasn’t come out with a public statement in the ad’s aftermath, American Eagle defended the marketing campaign in a statement posted to social media: "'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' is and always was about the jeans. Her jeans. Her story. We'll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way. Great jeans look good on everyone."

How much did Sydney Sweeney make for her American Eagle "Great Jeans" advertisements?

It's currently unknown exactly how much money Sweeney pulled in for her jeans campaign, but actors can make as much as $10 million for an ad campaign according to CNN, so it's likely that Sweeney earned a paycheck in the high six figures at least if not more.

Is Sydney Sweeney in a relationship?

Yes! Sydney Sweeney is currently in a relationship with businessman and music executive Scooter Braun. The pair started dating in late 2025.
