Robert Fuller, the actor who defined the television western for a generation of fans, is celebrating his 93rd birthday today.

Over a career spanning more than five decades, Fuller became one of Hollywood's most recognizable faces, best known for his roles in the beloved 1960s western series Laramie, where he played Jess Harper, and Wagon Train, where he portrayed Cooper Smith.

Fuller was a cowboy through and through. When Wagon Train ended in the early 1970s, with westerns no longer as popular, he figured he'd wait for another one.

Fuller was ready to saddle up, but his agent had a completely different role waiting for him.

“I got home and my agent called,” Fuller recalled in an interview with the DeSoto Times Tribune. “He said ‘Bob, I have some news. Jack Webb has got a new series going at the studio and wants you to star in his new series.’ I said, oh really? What’s it called? He said ‘it’s called Emergency.’ I said ohhhh that sounds like a medical show. I don’t want to do a medical show. I’m waiting to do a western.”

Fuller's agent was not about to let him pass on the opportunity. “My agent said ‘are you crazy? There isn’t a western on the horizon. They aren’t making westerns any more for television. You’ll wait until you grow a beard.’”

Emergency! was a new NBC drama following the work of paramedics and ER doctors. Fuller’s former wife, Julie London, and her husband, Bobby Troup, were already signed on for the project. 

The producer hoped that Fuller's close friendship with the pair would be enough to bring him on board as Dr. Kelly Brackett, Chief of Emergency Medicine at the fictional Rampart General Hospital.

Fuller was accustomed to Western-style dialogue, so the show's technical language took some getting used to. “I was used to saying ‘they went that-a-way,’” he said. “The dialogue was going to be rough.”

Fuller came to love his time on Emergency!, but his heart remained with the westerns. During the show's run, he guest-starred on Hec Ramsey and The Oregon Trail and appeared in the films Mustang Country and Donner Pass: The Road to Survival. 

After Emergency! wrapped, he continued acting in projects including The Adventures of Briscoe County, Jr., Paradise, Bonanza: The Next Generation and Maverick.

In 2004, Fuller packed up and left Los Angeles for a ranch in Gainesville, Texas, just an hour north of Dallas. He and his wife, actress Jennifer Savidge of St. Elsewhere and JAG, raise quarter horses and miniature donkeys on the property. 

That said, Fuller has not completely walked away from the spotlight. He is a familiar face at nostalgia conventions and western festivals, where he loves spending time with fans.

His most recent appearance was at the Flashback Film and TV Festival, held July 16 to 18 at the Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center in Olive Branch.

“This is a very serious fandom,” Fuller told USA Today, who dubbed him a “television cowboy.” “We have people from all over the world come to this thing, close to 250 or 300 from my fan club. We all take care of each other.”

Fuller still enjoys meeting fans, but don't expect to see him back in front of the camera anytime soon. “Absolutely not,” Fuller told the TimesTribune. 

“Fifty-two years is enough for me. I’ve been asked to go back to work many times, including Yellowstone. I turned them down. Besides, I don’t like the picture business anymore. I don’t like the people in it. I won’t go back to California. Period.”

A track by British rock band Argent, "God Gave Rock and Roll to You," further cemented the band's status as stars after a major hit, and the song would regain fame when reworked by another iconic band for a hit adventure film.

Argent had made waves in 1972, and guitarist Russell Ballard was "making good money" thanks to the popularity of "Hold Your Head Up," which reached No. 5 on the charts. They released "God Gave Rock and Roll to You" in 1973 as part of their In Deep album and as a single. Despite having landed at No. 114 on the Billboard charts, many critics said the track would turn them into "giants."

The song itself has a hopeful yet sad backstory behind it, with Ballard having written the track after getting out of a dark time in his life. According to Louder, he was "blissful" when he started writing "God Gave Rock and Roll to You," which was the opposite of how he felt the year before.

"My parents had both been really ill; my dad had prostate cancer, my mum had bowel cancer, at the same time. I’d felt so low. During that period, I remember writing I Don’t Believe In Miracles, and at the end of the song I just put my head down on the piano keys and cried," he explained.

"It was wonderful to feel myself come out of that depression,” Ballard recalls. “I felt so ‘up’. It probably only took twenty minutes to write it. I’d always liked gospel. With the lyric, I was saying that we live on this incredible planet, and when you find a passion, this world makes sense. Whereas, if you settle for a job to pay the bills, it’s very sad."

Ballard had penned the track on a piano in his parents' Hertfordshire home, with the instrument having been a gift from them on his 21st birthday. When he showed the track to the band, he was stunned that they developed a seven-minute version. The recorded version didn't sit right with Ballard, as it was slowed down at the request ofRod Argent. The musician admits the song didn't do much for his career, as he also left Argent soon after.

"God Gave Rock and Roll to You" would be covered some time later by Petra, but it wasn't until 1991 that the track gained new life thanks to KISS. Ballard was at a record label when he was stopped by former Blondie bassist Nigel Harrison, who talked about the Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter film Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.

When talking about the soundtrack, Harrison suggested "God Gave Rock and Roll to You," and KISS was soon chosen to do the cover. Their version was significantly different, with changed lyrics and a raised tempo. Ballard called the power ballad's lyrics more "universal" and never minded thatGene Simmonsclaimed to have written it, and said, "at least the royalties are good. God knows how much money that song has made me, but it’s probably bought me my house."

For Ballard, the track "will resonate for the next hundred years," as "music has been my saviour. God gave rock’n’roll to me, basically."

In the mid-1960s, "California Dreamin'" became one of the defining songs of the California sound.

Written by John and Michelle Phillips, the folk-rock classic showcased the signature harmonies of the Mamas & the Papas, with Cass Elliott and Denny Doherty also joining on vocals.

The Billboard Top 4 hit captured themes of escape and longing for a better life. It became the group’s signature song—and one that has stood the test of time for fans.

During their short tenure as a vocal foursome, the Mamas & the Papas performed four times on The Ed Sullivan Show, miming their hit songs to a pre-recorded track.

But during one of their performances, Michelle Phillips did something unusual.

While performing "California Dreamin’” on the Sept. 24, 1967 episode of the iconic variety show, she began to casually eat a banana, making it clear that she wasn’t actually singing all of her lines in the song.

As the clip resurfaced over the years, fans on Reddit and other social media platforms continued to attribute the move to Phillips rebelling over the fact that the group had to lip-sync.

"The reason she was eating a banana was to show the world they were lip-syncing; they were not allowed to sing! And in doing so was her act of defiance!” a fan wrote on Facebook.

“Exactly. And it was so funny to watch. Absolutely hilarious,” another agreed.

But it turns out that theory was wrong.

More than 50 years later, Phillips finally revealed why she munched on a banana during the legendary TV performance—and it had nothing to do with protesting against The Ed Sullivan Show.

In a 2021 post to her YouTube page, Phillips’ daughter Chynna asked her point blank if she remembered why she had a banana in her hand during the Ed Sullivan Show performance.

“You know what, Chynna, it was so random," Phillips replied. “We were just lip-syncing to the song, and then I looked over, and there was this plate of fruit, and there was a banana there. And so I just reached over and started peeling it and I ate it.”

“It was very spontaneous," the music legend continued. “I looked over, and I was trying to do something with my hands to do anything because I felt a little awkward.”

Phillips had nothing but respect for Sullivan and for how his show boosted the Mamas & the Papas.

 “The minute we started doing Sullivan, people started buying those records,” she once said, per the show’s official website. "You think of him (Ed) as being a very conservative guy, but look at the people he brought onto his show. He was the one who had control of that — nobody else.”

Decades later, the Mamas & the Papas’ iconic “California Dreamin’” performance is proof that an unplanned moment can become as memorable as the music itself.

Sleep apnea, a health condition where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep, is a lot more common than you may realize. According to a 2025 systematic review published in Respiratory Medicine, an estimated 32.4% of US adults have sleep apnea, which is roughly 83.7 million people. 

Just because it’s common doesn’t mean it isn’t a big deal. Sleep apnea can negatively impact health in profound ways. It can increase blood pressure and is associated with a greater risk of both Parkinson’s disease and dementia. This is because stopping breathing deprives the brain of oxygen and nutrients.

A major reason why sleep apnea is so difficult to diagnose is that it happens during sleep. Especially if you sleep alone, you could be completely unaware that your breathing is being disrupted overnight. Loud snoring is one of the classic symptoms of sleep apnea and is something that you could have no idea you’re doing on your own.

However, some daytime symptoms of sleep apnea can clue you in that you may have it as well. If so, it’s important to see your healthcare provider so you can be treated.

5 Daytime Signs of Sleep Apnea, According to Doctors

According to scientific research, people who are most at risk for sleep apnea are men, older adults and people with obesity. Nighttime symptoms of sleep apnea include loud snoring, waking up with shortness of breath and restless sleep. There are daytime symptoms of sleep apnea too, which are listed below.

1. Fatigue  

Dr. Suman Paul, MBBS, PhD, a consultant respiratory physician located in the UK, says that daytime fatigue is a hallmark of sleep apnea. This is because repeatedly stopping and restarting breathing throughout the night is disruptive to sleep. It gets in the way of truly restorative sleep, making it common to wake up tired and feel fatigued throughout the day. 

“The most common daytime symptom of sleep apnea is tiredness or fatigue,” reiterates Dr. Brooke Judd, MD, the Section Chief of Sleep Medicine at Dartmouth Health. “Sometimes this is severe sleepiness to the point that someone may unintentionally fall asleep during a conversation or while driving, but it doesn’t have to be that obvious."

2. Brain fog 

Dr. Judd emphasizes that daytime fatigue resulting from sleep apnea often isn’t as pronounced as falling asleep behind the wheel or mid-conversation with someone. She says it can commonly look like brain fog. This means that if you’re having trouble thinking clearly, focusing or remembering things, you could have sleep apnea. 

Not getting restorative sleep causes brain fog because it disrupts neuron communication and slows the prefrontal cortex, which is the area of the brain that handles focus and planning. Even just one night of poor sleep can impact cognitive functioning, and the impact is even more pronounced when you don’t get enough sleep regularly.

3. Morning headaches

This is another potential sign of sleep apnea, according to Dr. Paul. As explained earlier, sleep apnea prevents the brain from getting oxygen and nutrients. The combination of not getting enough oxygen and not getting enough sleep can manifest in a headache. 

This is because when breathing stops, blood oxygen levels drop and carbon dioxide accumulates. This causes blood vessels around the brain to dilate, which causes increased intracranial pressure. According to the organization Sleep Apnea, between 10 and 30% of people with sleep apnea experience headaches.

4. High blood pressure

If the next time you get your blood pressure checked, it’s higher than it should be, you may want to consider whether it could be related to sleep apnea. As a scientific article in Cureus explains, decreased breathing during the night leads to temporarily low oxygen and high carbon dioxide in the body. This disruption can cause blood pressure to go up.

The connection between sleep apnea and high blood pressure is one reason why it’s important for sleep apnea to be treated. High blood pressure is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease, heart attacks and strokes.

5. Low libido 

If your libido has gone down, Dr. Paul says it could be due to sleep apnea. Scientific research shows that between the lack of oxygen flow and lack of sleep, sleep apnea can affect libido in both men and women, and can contribute to erectile dysfunction in men.

Is Shortness of Breath During the Day a Sign of Sleep Apnea?

Since sleep apnea is defined as breathing disruptions during sleep, it’s natural to wonder if experiencing shortness of breath during the day is a potential sign of sleep apnea. According to Dr. Paul and Dr. Judd, it’s typically not. 

Shortness of breath is more likely a symptom related to asthma, COPD, pneumonia, heart failure or lung cancer. To find out the cause, Dr. Paul says doctors will typically order tests such as an ECG, pulmonary function test, chest X-ray, CT scan and echocardiogram.

“Shortness of breath during the day is not a common symptom of sleep apnea, although we do see it sometimes,” Dr. Judd says. She explains that it’s not directly related to sleep apnea, but may be related through other conditions, such as congestive heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, both of which can cause shortness of breath.

“Or it can be related to more general fatigue that can be seen with untreated obstructive sleep apnea," she notes.

How Is Sleep Apnea Diagnosed? 

Okay, so you suspect you may have sleep apnea and want to see your doctor about it. What can you expect to happen next? Dr. Judd explains that you’ll likely need to get a sleep study. After all, sleep apnea happens during sleep, so testing can’t happen when you’re awake.

“There are different kinds of sleep studies depending on the amount of information we are monitoring during sleep, but the minimum information is whether there is obstructed airflow and whether there are brief dips in the oxygen levels with these obstructions,” she says.

If your sleep study indicates that you have sleep apnea, your doctor will likely give you a prescription for a CPAP machine, which is a medical device that uses air pressure to keep airways open while you sleep. While it may take some getting used to at first, the benefits of being able to get adequate sleep and lowering your risk for health conditions associated with sleep apnea are well worth it. 

Dr. Paul says that once sleep apnea is treated, you can expect to feel more energized during the day. In fact, all of the five daytime signs of sleep apnea mentioned above should disappear. Never underestimate the power of good sleep.

Willie Nelson published an open letter yesterday urging rural Americans to fight against data centers threatening their communities. He's 93. He's been in this fight for 40 years. He still has a home in Abbott, Tex., a rural town of fewer than 400 people where he was raised. He can still see stars at night from his farmland there. His letter is direct: "The last thing we need is a loud, water-thieving, light-polluting data center anywhere near our town."

He shared the letter on X and Instagram with a note that said simply: "One more time just in case."

That phrase tells you everything. He'd already shared it. He felt the urgency to share it again. And before the letter came, something else was revealed this week: the announcement of his new memoir "The Last Leaf" out November 5. It's dedicated to his wife Annie. "Covid nearly got me. I was hurting so bad I wanted out. But Annie wouldn't let me go. The years I've lived since then are because of Annie. And so is this book."

An open letter defending his rural Texas hometown. A memoir dedicated to the woman who wouldn't let him die. In the same week. At 93.

The letter is personal, not abstract. Abbott has fewer than 400 people. It sits 24 miles north of Waco. And it's in the crosshairs of a data center expansion that nobody in rural Texas asked for. The Texas Tribune identified at least 248 planned data center projects in Texas last month alone. A Nexus Data Centers campus is already planned 25 miles from Abbott in Hubbard.

Data centers move into rural Texas for cheap land, cheap electricity, and tax incentives. They consume millions of gallons of water daily for cooling. They run around the clock on generators that light up the night sky. In a rural farming community, both are devastating: water is the crop and darkness is what lets you see the stars.

"The strength of rural America has never come from big industrial footprints," Nelson wrote. "It comes from generations of people, open spaces, local business and a connection to the land." He called farmland "where our essential shared food is grown" and then wrote the line that stops you cold: "Whoever controls food and water, controls the masses. Let's not allow our own demise."

Nelson knows this fight. He co-founded Farm Aid in 1985 when corporate interests were destroying family farms across rural America. He organized a concert. Then another. Then another. Forty years later, the threat has a different name. The argument is identical. The next Farm Aid is September 26 in Virginia Beach with Neil Young,John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff, and the Turnpike Troubadours. Nelson is also on the road this summer as part of the Outlaw Country Festival Tour. He's headlining Farm Aid at 93.

At 93, He's Still Showing Up

The technology changed. The threat changed. The fight didn't.

He still has farmland in Abbott where he can still see stars at night. He shared his letter "one more time just in case." He's got a memoir coming in November dedicated to the woman who wouldn't let him go. He's headlining Farm Aid in September. He's on tour this summer.

Some artists retire. At 93, Willie Nelson published an open letter and announced a memoir in the same week and is getting ready to take the stage.

Kendra Wilkinson is feeling great in her body after losing weight on a GLP-1.

These days, Wilkinson works as a real estate agent, but she hasn't left all her on-camera work behind. After taking heat from body shamers, the former reality star showed off her slimmed-down look in a red bikini, a proud result of her partnership with a GLP-1 company.

Standing on a boat in the sunshine, Wilkinson flipped her hair and praised the medication company she's partnered with.

"I feel so good in my body right now. Like actual summer ready, not the fake kind. And a big part of that has been GLP1s done right," Wilkinson shared. Wilkinson Fired Back at Body Shamers

Wilkinson's slimdown came after body shamers took to social media to throw some hate her way. Despite thriving as a single mom, Wilkinson still faces criticism from online trolls. In a post for International Women’s Day, Wilkinson shared that people comment about how she’s aged “poorly.” However, she says she’s perfectly fine with “a little weight gain and wrinkles” because she’s not going to “tie my happiness again into the negative energy.”

“I am a balanced, single, positive, fun woman who loves life, and I hope that I can manage this feeling forever now after working hard to get here to this place. I was verrrry young when I started TV and lived a crazy chaotic 20 years of impressing others, but now it’s about ME. Giving back to ME. Even with less money and Way less fame. 😂,” Wilkinson shared. “I’m now a realtor and a mom of a 16-year-old and a 11 yr old. Watching them grow has been my ultimate happiness over everything else. I’m so beyond grateful for today!”

Few celebrities have experienced quite as extraordinary a life as Kurt Russell.

With a career dating back to the early 1960s, Russell has worked with some of the most famous names in the larger entertainment industry, including such hallowed faces as Charles Bronson, Sylvester Stallone, Quentin Tarantino, Val Kilmer, Tom Cruise and Walt Disney.

Given his legendary career in the industry, it's certainly no surprise that Russell has collected a fair amount of incredible stories related to these iconic figures. With Disney, for example, Russell is able to recall his early glimpses into the Mickey Mouse character's initial plans to build an entire futuristic city of tomorrow.

During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the 75-year-old Overboard actor remembered happening across a scale model of Disney's planned city while touring the company's studio early one morning.

"I came to work early one day. My mom was with me, taking me to work," Russell said. "And we were looking at this, we were on Dopey Drive, and we were looking at this kiosk that had this display. It was an artwork with a dome on it. And I was looking at what this was, and I heard this voice behind me say, 'What do you think of that?' And it was Mr. Disney.

"And so I turned around and said, 'That looks really cool. What is that?' He said, 'I'm gonna put a whole city underneath a dome,'" the actor continued.

Interestingly, Disney's plans to one day build a city encompassed his final goal in his lifetime. As fate would have it, however, the animation giant would pass away before this goal was fully realized.

With Walt's death in 1966, Disney's conceptual plans for the city were repurposed into Walt Disney World's second official theme park. In a nod to the original goal for Disney's city, the park wound up using the same acronym Disney had designed for his community: EPCOT, or the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.

Imagine creating an unforgettable bassline only to, actually, forget it! That’s what happened with “Under Pressure,” leading to the track almost not being created.

The 1981 track would go on to become a global smash hit. While it only peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1982 in the United States, it would go on to reach No. 1 in other parts of the world, including in the UK. Since then, it has been sampled and played on repeat, and it’s all thanks to that iconic bassline.

Yet, the bassline was almost forgotten. While at Mountain Studios in Montreux, Switzerland, bassist John Deacon came up with the rift that we can no longer forget. Despite looping it for some time, the whole band decided to grab some food to soak up some of the alcohol they’d been drinking.

When Queen came back to their instruments, Deacon had completely forgotten what he had created. Drummer Roger Taylor tried to help, thinking that he’d remembered the exact sequence, but guitarist Brian May says that he’s the one who really saved the track. He stepped in and corrected the slightly different variation Taylor had recreated, and the rest was history.

Well, sort of. When it came to performing the track with David Bowie, there was something the music icon wanted to try. Both he and Freddie Mercury went into their recording booths separately. They had no idea what each other would sing, and it became one of the biggest and most astounding tracks Queen would create.

As for Bowie joining in on the jam and landing a writing credit for it, Deacon shared in a 1986 interview that it all came about when Bowie came to the recording studio in Switzerland with them. He mentioned, “It was credited to Queen and David Bowie, but it was actually, I think, Freddie and Roger and David that mainly wrote most of it.”

It turned out that while Deacon didn’t mind Bowie taking over and giving orders, May took offense to it. That likely didn’t help that while Bowie knew Mercury and Taylor well, he didn’t know the other two Queen band members that well, and some personalities clashed.

“Under Pressure” was released as a single in October 1981, just months after Deacon created the riff. It wasn’t until 1982 that fans could listen to it on an album, when it was added to the “Hot in Space” release.

It's no secret that even your favorite candy isn't safe from being discontinued. Two things to remember when it comes to your favorite candy: 1. Stock up while you still have the chance, and 2. Try not to get too attached. After all, you never know when your favorite sweet treat will quietly disappear, so it's better to accept the possibility now than feel totally blindsided when it does.

1. Butterfinger BB's

Introduced in the early '90s and on shelves through the early 2000s, Butterfinger BB's offered fans the same crispy, peanut buttery center of the popular candy bar but in a small, spherical form. Cemented in pop culture by memorable Simpsons advertising campaigns, Butterfinger BB's eventually disappeared from shelves in 2006 with no explanation from Nestlé, but not without fans petitioning for its return — many still to this day.

2. Hershey's Kissables

Debuting in the mid-2000s, Hershey's Kissables have been sorely missed since being pulled from shelves. Taking the classic Hershey's Kiss and giving it a smaller shape with a colorful candy shell, they were a lot like M&M's but with the classic Hershey's flavor. Over its short tenure, Hershey's Kissables became a candy aisle staple, only to be abruptly discontinued in 2009 after a recipe change altered the flavor and texture that made them so popular in the first place.

3. Wonka Bar

About as memorable as candy can get, the Wonka Bar was a real-life version of the famous chocolate bar from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, with several iterations existing over the years. While the movie franchise it was modeled after has stood the test of time, Wonka Bars were eventually pulled from shelves after issues with the recipe caused the bars to melt too easily. Although Nestlé revived the brand with new variations, it never truly experienced the success of other competing chocolate bars and disappeared entirely by 2014.

4. Fruit Stripe Gum

Hailing from the 1960s yet extremely popular among kids through the '90s and early 2000s, Fruit Stripe Gum was a childhood favorite for generations. Known for its colorful packaging and zebra mascot, it offered a mix of short-lived bursts of flavors and existed as a fun alternative to other leading gum brands. While Fruit Stripe certainly experienced decades of success, it was eventually discontinued in 2024 because of shifting consumer preferences, due in part to the flavor simply not lasting very long.

A memorable sour snack from the '90s and early 2000s, Shock Tarts came in a slender paper tube filled with tart, colorful candies shaped like small pucks, as well as smaller-count pouches similar to other bagged candies. After experiencing multiple name changes over the years, including Shockers and SweeTarts Chewy Sours, the original Shock Tarts quietly disappeared from shelves despite never technically being discontinued.

6. Shark Bites

A staple in childhood lunchboxes across the country, Shark Bites captured the excitement of being a kid with colorful gummy sharks packed into a travel-friendly pouch. Backed by memorable cartoon commercials and the tagline "you gotta eat them before they eat you," Shark Bites were eventually discontinued after General Mills changed the recipe to remove artificial flavors and colors. Unfortunately, the change eliminated the chalky texture the candy was known for and removed the famous "Great White" shark piece, leaving many fans disappointed with the new version.

7. Nestlé Wonder Ball

Introduced in the mid-'90s, Nestlé Magic Ball was a hollow chocolate ball with a small toy hidden inside. After concerns over the embedded toys potentially posing a choking hazard and legal issues surrounding nonfood items inside candy, Nestlé eventually pulled the treat from shelves in 1997. Years later, the Magic Ball returned as Wonder Ball with candy pieces inside instead of toys, but after a short run, it disappeared again when Nestlé sold the brand to Frankford Candy in 2004.

8. Altoids Sours

A sour spin on the classic Altoids brand, Altoids Sours were a tart, fruit-flavored hard candy sold in the brand's signature round metal tins. Introduced in 2001 and discontinued in 2010, the candy became a cult favorite thanks to its enticing sour coating and unique balance of sweet and fruity flavors. Years later, the candy returned under the name Retro Sours, giving fans another chance to enjoy a similar version of the nostalgic treat.

9. Baja California Starburst

Created as a limited-edition flavor in the late 2000s, Baja California Starburst brought a tropical twist to the popular taffy candy with flavors like Dragon Fruit, Limon, Strawberry Watermelon and Aztec Punch. Complete with a hilarious commercial campaign and a short run on shelves, the nostalgic candy quickly earned a cult following, only to disappear after its limited promotional run came to an end.

10. Dweebs

The lesser-known sibling of the fan-favorite Nerds candy, Dweebs delivered a similar crunchy candy experience with a different shape and texture entirely. Released under the Wonka brand in the '90s, Dweebs never reached the same level of popularity as some of its competitors. Still, fans who remember them would likely jump at the opportunity to purchase them again, making a comeback something many would welcome.

Much like all of our favorite foods, our favorite candies do a lot more than simply satisfy a sweet tooth. They evoke core childhood memories that stick with us long after the candy itself disappears, making any comeback one worth dreaming about.

Long before millions tuned in on July 29, 1981, to watch what was billed as a fairytale ceremony, Princess Diana and Prince Charles were already doing things differently.

In July, the couple married at St. Paul’s Cathedral instead of adhering to royal tradition and choosing Westminster Abbey. Charles' mother, Queen Elizabeth II, married Prince Philip there in 1947.

However, while it appeared that Charles and Diana were trying to be unique, the choice of the cathedral came down to more seating for the event's 3,500 guests. Westminster Abbey only had seating for 2,000 reported PEOPLE Magazine.

Yet the most talked-about break from tradition happened right at the altar. According to The New York Times, Diana requested a specific change to the traditional Church of England vows. She chose to omit the vow to "obey" her husband, agreeing instead to "love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health."

This decision was fully supported by Prince Charles. The Times reported the couple had "very serious" discussions about the change before moving forward.

Additionally, the couple's wedding breakfast was intimate, in stark contrast to their massive guest list at their ceremony. Only 120 guests were invited to the formal Buckingham Palace event, reported Tatler. The couple did not have an evening reception, but in later years, the couple's sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, did enjoy a nighttime celebration.

When the couple finally left the palace for their honeymoon, they left behind a completely updated blueprint for future royal weddings. Prince Charles and Princess Diana proved that rules weren't set in stone and that a traditional royal wedding could actually reflect the couple at its center.

As the Lindsay Clancy trial continues, prosecutors face the difficult task of convincing the jury that Clancy was legally responsible for the deaths of her three children despite her defense team's argument that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis.

McLean identifies three potential "red flags" that could become particularly important as prosecutors seek to challenge the defense's claims about Clancy's mental state, including the timeline leading up to the children's deaths, the alleged method used to kill them and searches reportedly found on Clancy's phone.

What Are the Charges Against Lindsay Clancy?

Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, is facing three counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of her children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. Prosecutors allege that Clancy strangled the children with exercise bands inside the basement of her Duxbury, Massachusetts, home on Jan. 24, 2023, while her husband, Patrick Clancy, was out running errands.

Afterward, Clancy jumped from a second-story window in an apparent suicide attempt, an incident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. She has pleaded not guilty, while her defense has argued that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis and was not criminally responsible for her actions at the time.

"The most glaring red flag is the structured timeline of January 24, 2023. The Commonwealth will argue that Clancy did not snap in a sudden, blinding burst of psychotic mania," McLean, host of The Margaret McLean Show, says.

"Instead, she used Apple Maps to calculate exactly how long it would take her husband, Patrick, to drive to a restaurant to pick up takeout food and go to CVS pharmacy. By sending him on these specific errands, she intentionally engineered a predictable 20-minute window of isolation. In criminal law, creating a deliberate 'window of opportunity' is a classic hallmark of premeditation."

"The physical mechanisms of these crimes are key," McLean continues. "The prosecution emphasizes that the three children were strangled individually using exercise bands. From a prosecutorial standpoint, strangulation is not an instantaneous act; it takes physical effort and prolonged time. Doing this to three children, one by one, requires the perpetrator to repeat the exact same lethal process three separate times."

"Prosecutors will argue that even if Clancy experienced a mental health crisis, she had multiple opportunities to stop between each act, yet she consciously chose to proceed," McLean explains.

"Forensic evidence from Clancy’s phone also revealed highly specific internet searches in the days leading up to the tragedy," McLean says. "She allegedly looked up terms regarding 'ways to kill' and questioned how to treat specific behavioral traits."

"To a jury, a search history that mirrors the eventual crime suggests that the idea was researched and contemplated long before it was executed. It directly undercuts the defense narrative of a spontaneous psychotic break triggered entirely on the day of the event," she adds.

McLean says prosecutors could also point to what happened immediately after the children's deaths—she attempted to take her own life.

McLean says prosecutors could argue that Clancy's actions after the killings demonstrate an awareness of what had happened and an attempt to escape the consequences. In that context, she says, the prosecution could characterize Clancy's suicide attempt as further evidence that she understood the seriousness of her actions.

In the mid-'80s, Duran Duran released a hit song that would become synonymous with one of the most beloved movie franchises in film history.

"A View to Kill," released on May 6, 1985, was written for the 14th movie in the James Bond franchise — A View to Kill, starring legendary actor Roger Moore and marking his seventh and final appearance as agent 007.

The track materialized in a unique way, with Duran Duran's bassist,John Taylor, drunkenly pitching longtime Bond producer Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli at a party.

"Initially scared," Duran Duran vocalist Simon Le Bonsaid in June 1985 when asked how he felt when the band was asked to record the theme song. "We thought, 'oh, that's a big one,' because you're standing up there with a hall of very illustrious stars who, in the past, have made some very good records."

Le Bon joked that the band "couldn't really refuse" once they were offered to become the sound of the movie, but it paid off, as the song made unprecedented history as the first and only James Bond theme song to reach the coveted top spot on the Billboard charts.

"A View to Kill" reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on July 13, 1985, where it stayed for two weeks, and it remained on the chart for 17 weeks in total.

To complement the song, the rockers released an iconic music video which featured clips from the film, along with the band portraying secret agents in Paris.

"It just seemed like a natural thing to do," Taylor explained of the music video. "People associate us with very very conceptual videos and it seemed nice to do a spoof."

In July 1985, on the same day that the track hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the band opened with the song during its set at the Live Aid in Philadelphia concert, per Setlist.FM. This performance would also mark Duran Duran's final live show for almost 20 years.

Johnson's Early Acting Days

While Johnson is living the good life these days, it's a far cry from her early days as an actress, when she was desperate for a role. After she didn't get into Juilliard, her father cut her off financially.

"I didn't get in, and my dad cut me off because I didn't go to college. So, I started auditioning. I think I was 19 when I did The Social Network, and then little jobs and stuff after that," Johnson shared in a discussion with her Materialists co-star, Pedro Pascal, for Elle UK. "For a couple of years, it was hard to make money. There were a few times when I'd go to the market and not have money in my bank account or not be able to pay rent, and I'd have to ask my parents for help."

Ultimately, Johnson realized she wasn't meant for college, and didn't have much interest in being put in a classroom. However, things ended up working out for Johnson in the end, since she "really didn't want to go to college."

"It just felt really wrong to lock myself in one place," she concluded. Of course, things worked out pretty well for her, since she scored the role of Anastasia Steele in 2015's Fifty Shades of Grey.

He went on by adding it may be a legitimate investment by saying, "Still pays royalties, last 5 years has payed 36k. Serious inquiries only."

So far, the post has amassed over 2,200 likes and nearly 200 comments.

Prior to the post, any time he made headlines, it's typically related to his time behind bars, including prison romances. More often, though, it stemmed from his desperate attempts to secure his release, even launching into political rants after posting the ad selling the rights to his music.

He has since been transferred to FMC Lexington, where he seems ecstatic to receive fan mail, but what he wants most is for fans to purchase his songs one by one as he listed verbatim with prices:
