The term “bone loss” is a scary one. It starts pretty early, too, around age 35. Wild, right? Needless to say, bone health (as random as it may seem) needs to be addressed ASAP.

If you’re up to date on bone health tips, you might have read about the importance of drinking high-calcium drinks (spoiler alert: it’s not just milk!), for example. And it's actually super interesting how much basic habits can help with bone health. One woman was diagnosed with osteoporosis, a disease in which bones become weak and brittle, and she reversed it naturally. She increased her bone density with a variety of bone-healthy steps, such as resistance training, wearing weighted vests, focused nutrition, adequate sleep, support from loved ones, medical attention and stress-reduction activities. 

While proactively and reactively addressing bone health is definitely important for older adults, it’s also important not to wait or assume nothing’s wrong. “One of the largest errors that occurs due to delaying a healthy bone habit is that we do not start focusing on our bones until it’s too late in life,” says Dr. Kezia Joy, MD, RDN, a medical advisor with Welzo. “Most often, bone loss has no symptoms, which means that there are no warning signs to indicate when it’s happening…This can lead to fractures.”

So, what do she and other registered dietitians suggest? Perhaps surprisingly, their shared recommendation isn’t directly about food (though they add some that are). Ahead, registered dietitians share the main thing that prevents bone loss and other habits they urge you to implement.

The #1 Thing That Helps Prevent Bone Loss, According To Registered Dietitians

Parade asked dietitians to share what helps prevent bone loss, and they all said one thing: strength training. 

“Strength training is essential for bone health,” says Olivia Hamilton, MS, RD, LDN, a dietitian at Factor 75. “Strength training throughout the whole life span, especially as we age, is the closest thing to the fountain of youth I have seen.” She encourages getting a personalized exercise plan from a certified personal trainer or physical therapist.

Dietitian Avery Zenker, MAN, RD, explains why. “Bones need enough stimulus from exercise for growth and maintenance, which includes strength exercises and high-impact activities,” she says. “Weight-bearing exercise is one of the best ways to preserve bone mass long-term.”

Dr. Joy and Zenker agree that two to three days of strength training a week is enough. Climbing stairs is a weight-bearing activity that Dr. Joy suggests, explaining it stimulates cells that produce and maintain bone density. Walking and Pilates are also great, but not enough, according to Zenker. 

One dietitian specifically recommends heavy weights and has had personal success.

“Lifting heavy weights is the most underutilized tool to prevent bone loss, and I cannot talk about it enough,” says Ashley Kitchens, MPH, RD, a plant-based registered dietitian and owner of Plant Centered Nutrition. “As a CrossFit athlete in my 40s and based on a recent DEXA scan, lifting heavy has kept my bone mass significantly above average.”

4 Other Dietitian-Approved Ways To Prevent Bone Loss

While they all agree on strength training, RDs share a few more key tips as well.

1. Get your vitamin D levels tested

Many nutrients are vital for bone health—which we’ll discuss more below—but vitamin D is certainly a big one to note. “Vitamin D is essential for strong bones, and it’s one of the most common nutrient inadequacies worldwide,” Zenker says. “A common mistake people make is assuming their vitamin D status is adequate because they take vitamin D supplements or regularly get sunshine.” She urges individuals to get their vitamin D levels tested.

2. Get enough of various nutrients (not just calcium and vitamin D)

When you think of improving bone health, you probably think about calcium-rich foods (and, at least now, vitamin D-rich foods). Those are important but far from everything. Additionally, Hamilton urges people to get enough magnesium and vitamin K, saying they're also “the heavy-hitters for bone health.”

Kitchens agrees about vitamin K2 and explains why. “Most of us know that calcium is important for bone health, but vitamin K2 actually directs calcium into the bones instead of letting it deposit in your arteries and soft tissue,” she says. “Without adequate K2, taking calcium supplements may do less good than you think.” Foods rich in vitamin K2 include nattō, chicken breasts, sauerkraut and kefir.

On the note of nutrition-related surprises, Zenker suggests eating prunes. “One study found that eating five to six prunes daily helped preserve bone mineral density in post-menopausal women,” she says. “Prunes aren’t a meaningful source of calcium or vitamin D, but they contain polyphenols and antioxidants that are believed to contribute to their bone-supporting benefits.”

For Kitchens, the one food to add is soy, whether it’s in the form of tofu, tempeh or edamame. She points to a study that found for Asian women, a soy-rich diet is linked to lower rates of bone fracture. “Avoiding or fearing soy is not supported by evidence, and avoiding it means you’re missing out on a food that’s protective for your bones,” she adds.

3. Eat enough protein and calories

Getting enough protein and calories is also crucial for bone health because they're crucial for muscle health.

“Maintaining lean muscle mass directly impacts bone density,” Hamilton explains. “It sounds a bit scary, but our bones react to the mechanical stress by building up stronger over time. This process can only happen if we consume adequate protein and calories.”

She encourages having a quality protein source at every meal or snack. That might include Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, milk, tuna packets or hard-boiled eggs.

“When it comes to preventing bone loss, I am consistently begging people to shift their focus from trying to be the smallest version of themselves to the strongest version of themselves,” Hamilton adds.

Crash dieting and intense restriction—especially in women, people ages 18 to 30, and during menopause—can lead to bone loss later in life and increase your risk for osteoporosis.

4. Food-first nutrition

Supplements and bottled vitamins are awesome in their convenience, but they aren’t your best first choice. Hamilton encourages getting nutrients from food first, if at all possible, then supplementing if needed. Examples of foods rich in those nutrients include milk, yogurt, fatty fish, eggs, nuts, seeds, whole grains, legumes, kale, spinach and pork.

Feeling overwhelmed by all the options? She also recommends picking a couple of go-tos to keep it simple. For example, you might meal-prep spinach-cheddar egg bites for breakfasts and homemade nut-and-seed granola over Greek yogurt for snacks.

In reality, small changes matter. “Combining these small daily actions into one larger action will promote a favorable environment for bone health throughout adulthood,” Dr. Joy concludes.

Ariana Grande is once again earning equal parts praise and public scrutiny for her new work on the music video "Petal," a fascinating project that coincides with the release of her latest R&B album of the same name.

While many fans have applauded the music video for its originality, others have expressed concern over Grande's recent physical appearance, including her startling weight loss.

Though fans and critics shared their discomfort over Grande's appearance, the 33-year-old singer defended her work on "Petal," complimenting the music video on a recent Instagram post.

In said post, Grande shared several behind-the-scenes photos of herself and her fellow performers on set.

“i love this video with my entire heart,” Grande captioned the post. “[I] must express my deepest, endless gratitude to my brilliant collaborators and friends who have brought this song of mine to life with me and who helped tell this story … thank you to everyone who gave their brilliance, care and time.”

While many fans reached out expressing their concern for the star's health, Grande and her representatives revealed that the singer will be taking a "step back" from public appearances for the time being.

A couple of days later, her rep told People that the Victorious alum was planning to take “a step back from visibility” after her Eternal Sunshine Tour concludes in early September.

“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny,” a representative for Grande told People magazine.

Similarly, during a recent performance in Chicago, the 33-year-old Grande herself explained her decision to temporarily step away from the limelight to better focus on her personal well-being.

“It’s a plan that I had quietly made a long time ago, and it’s a decision that was made from a thoughtful and empowered place," Grande told fans at Chicago's United Center. "Multiple things can be true at the same time. Boundaries can need to be set. Human beings can need a break sometimes.”

Sometimes coffee just doesn't cut it.

According to All Recipes, some locations are already serving the new beverage, while others will have to wait for the official launch on August 17.

The Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer is a fizzy fusion of Red Bull's signature flavor with sweet blue raspberry and tropical dragonfruit, creating a fruity, candy-like drink that's refreshing and easy to sip.

For anyone not in the mood for coffee, it's the perfect alternative as it will only have 80 mg of caffeine, equivalent to a cuppa joe — if anyone still says that...

Like grabbing Red Bull from a convenience store cooler, you can select a zero-sugar option as well.

There's no official word if stateside stores will be offering more flavors, but Australia's menu added a Red Bull Zero Peach Boost Energizer too.

McDonald's is also growing its sandwich lineup, adding the Bacon Caesar McCrispy Sandwich, Caesar Snack Wrap, and Honey Brown Butter Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit to menus this year.

A24 has released the latest trailer for Primetime,  an upcoming psychological crime thriller starring Robert Pattinson as television journalist Chris Hansen. Directed by Lance Oppenheim, the film dramatizes the origins and behind-the-scenes culture of NBC's controversial To Catch a Predator segments from the mid-2000s.  The new trailer showcases Pattinson recreating Hansen's cadence and confrontation style, using the host’s famous catchphrases during sting-house encounters. Following the trailer’s release across major digital platforms, online audiences quickly ran to the comment sections to praise Pattinson's physical and vocal transformation.

YouTube viewers focused heavily on Pattinson’s delivery of Hansen's signature lines. "He nailed that 'whynchu have a seat right there' lmao," wrote one commenter, referencing the host's standard greeting to sting subjects. Other fans claimed they can't wait for the upcoming film, with another noting, "Movies like this don’t come around often, I’d watch it again and again."

Pattinson's career trajectory and reputation for intense character shifts were also part of the discussion. Viewers pointed to his recent filmography, which includes blockbuster and independent projects. "The way Pattinson completely changes in every role is just remarkable. I see an Oscar in his future," one comment read. Another user commented on Pattinson's body of work: "Robert Pattinson is gradually becoming one of my favorite actors ever, every time I see him in a movie, it just makes me like him more and more: first The Batman, Mickey 17, The Drama,The Odyssey, he'll most likely be amazing in this too."  Longtime followers of the original news magazine series pointed to iconic moments from the 2000s broadcasts that became early internet memes. "Man I hope they included the 'it’s a little bit too late for that dawg' encounter," posted one YouTube user, remembering a phrase uttered by a suspect during a notable 2006 episode.

To Catch a Predator originally aired as a hidden-camera sting series produced by Dateline NBC starting in 2004. Working alongside local law enforcement agencies and online watchdog groups, the program dispatched decoys to lure targets to designated sting locations before Hansen confronted them on camera. The original series generated massive ratings alongside ethical debates regarding television journalism practices and entrapment concerns.

Primetime also stars Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Phoebe Bridgers. A24 will premiere the film in competition at the Venice International Film Festival before releasing it in theaters on Sept. 25. 

Before the 1980s, Led Zeppelin released one final album before their split and yielded a fan-favorite track, "Fool in the Rain," a hopeful song amid an upsetting end.

The band became a staple in the rock genre since their start in 1969, but by 1979, they hadn't released an album in three years. Band members were going through rough times between substance abuse and the loss of a son, which led bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jonesto take over a majority of the creation behind In Through the Out Door.

"Fool in the Rain" was recorded in 1978, and after a good listen, fans may notice the title of the track doesn't actually appear in the lyrics. The track itself had a unique sound from the band, as it combined rock elements with samba. Jones and Jimmy Page came up with the track in the Summer of 1978 while watching that year's FIFA World Cup being held in Argentina.

According to UltimateClassicRock, Plant admitted in a 1979 interview that the track was "unusual" for the band and that they likely would never have played it if the situation had been different. He explained there was "always a South American kind of rhythm thing going along. It's not an attempt to beCarlos Santanaor anything like that. It's kind of a little bit diversified and straightforward, you know."

In the book Light and Shade: Conversations with Jimmy Page, Page explains that Jones didn't have much input in song-making with previous albums, but bought a new synthesizer, and "it inspired him to come up with a bunch of things for In Through the Out Door." Jones also started working closely with Robert Plant, which had never happened before.

"Fool in the Rain" was a considerable hit due to growing interest in the album at the time, and landed at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track itself wasn't originally meant to be released as a single until the band relented some months after the album debuted.

"I always thought of the Stones as a pop group who made singles," said Plant in a 2005. "The whole idea of what we did competing with Bobby Goldsboro as they were wasn't where we were at. What we said was there's no point of putting out a single when the album is the statement of the band."

The single and album would end up being Led Zeppelin's last release as a band, but they never expected it to be. According to Page, he and Bonzo were already discussing plans for a hard-driving album after In Through the Door, having not been a fan of Plant and Jones' leadership and thinking it was "a little soft."

Led Zeppelin would disband in 1980 following the death of drummerJohn Bonham from alcoholism. He died after a 12-hour drinking binge at Page's house that led to choking in his sleep from pulmonary asphyxiation. Instead of replacing Bonham and continuing under a new name, the band decided to split out of respect for their friend.

Kylie Kelce recently opened up about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's highly anticipated wedding, sharing a sweet behind-the-scenes detail that had remained private until now. "Obviously, my husband cried during our wedding. He did," she said on the episode. "I think that goes without being said because he’s cried a couple other places because he feels his emotions, okay?"

"He cried at his brother’s wedding for many reasons. It was touching," Kylie continued. "It was very loving to see all of the things that were happening, but take this into consideration—because no one’s thinking about this—think about getting to watch your four daughters be flower girls. Okay? That’s all the information you get."

Kylie and Jason have been very respectful of the newlyweds' desire to keep their wedding ceremony ultra-private. In fact, Kylie has mentioned the wedding on her podcast before, but has been very careful about what she shared.

"I would like to say congratulations to Tay and Trav. It was absolutely magical," she said on the July 23 episode. "I'm so happy for them, [and I] love them so, so dearly … [the wedding] was only making it official because Taylor’s been family now for quite some time."

Taylor and Travis tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3.

Of all the jobs Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has, being a girl dad is his most prized work. He expresses his appreciation for fatherhood and love for his three daughters in a new song.

The former wrestling champion is one of the executive producers of Moana: Voices Across the Ocean; Disney’s new companion album, which features new music inspired by the recently released live-action film, Moana, in which he stars as Maui. He co-wrote a deeply intimate track, “Your Dad,” alongside Iam Tongi. In an exclusive with PEOPLE, Johnson opens up about the song and its inspiration: “The things that have taught me the most about being a man are my daughters.”

Johnson has three daughters: Simone, 24, whom he shares with ex-wife Dany Garcia, and Jasmine, 10, and Tiana, 8, whom he shares with Lauren Hashian, his wife since 2019. “Between my wife, my job, my experiences around the world with people, the things that have taught me the most about being a man are my daughters,” Johnson explained. 

“There’s a line in the song that says, ‘A deeper love that I never knew. You took my heart, and you pulled it through.’ Our 10-year-old asked me the other night, when I was putting her to bed, ‘What does that mean?’”

Johnson had a conversation with his daughter Jasmine, telling her, “‘Sometimes life can be challenging, and you have challenges in life. You don’t feel it now — maybe you do a little bit being 10 — but one day you’ll feel it. You’ll just feel the pressure of life.’”

While he says his daughter prefers not to have those types of discussions, he remembers saying to her, “‘Without you even knowing, you took my heart, and you pulled me through just by being who you are. So I want to empower you with that. That’s what that line means.’”

As for his daughter’s reaction, Johnson recalls, “She was like, ‘Wow,’” he said. 

Moana: Voices Across the Ocean is currently available for purchase and download. Disney’s live-action Moana, starring Johnson and Catherine Lagaʻaia, is still in theaters. 

Minnie Driver is "grateful to be alive" after a serious car accident in France.

The beloved British actress, 56, who left her mark on American cinema starting in the ’90s with parts in films like Circle of Friends and Grosse Pointe Blank, earned tremendous acclaim for her role as Skylar in 1997’s iconic film Good Will Hunting, alongside Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. More recently, she starred in the ABCsitcomSpeechless, playing the mother of a child with cerebral palsy, and completed a five-episode run on the Netflix hit Emily in Paris. But it wasn't her career that made headlines on Thursday.

In a new Instagram post, Driver wore a neck brace as she lay in bed with her dog as she recovered from a horrific car accident that left her with a sprained neck.

"Update is that I am actually back in London. I'm sorry about the filter I've put on this, but honestly, without it, I just look appalling. Even the dog wouldn't look at me," Driver said. "I got into a really bad car accident a few days ago, with my friend Ben, and we somehow walked out of it. Well, we didn't walk out of it; we crawled out of it, but we did get out of it alive."

In the caption, Driver shared how the terrifying accident went down, and praised the KIA EV2 she was riding in for its 360-degree airbags.

"Shout out to the van driver who stopped and helped us before the ambulances arrived. Special mention to the car who slowed down took in the scene and drove off without stopping. I guess this is the Dao of the world, the light and the dark. My brain keeps replaying the crash which is very hard but seems to be a necessary part of processing. Weeping too, feels good and helpful. Thank you to my friends, my family, all the people at work and especially my friend Ben and his family. I love you," she wrote.

Driver may be an absolute beauty, but she’s got the brains to back it up. She recently took to social media to call out past tabloid coverage that criticized her looks. In the first throwback photo, the natural-faced actress appeared with minimal makeup and her hair in its natural curls. To the right, another photo showed Driver with full makeup for the red carpet. The headline read “Minnie Driver…From Drab To Fab.”

In the caption, Driver had a few things to say about the rude statements.

“And we wonder why the labels that are stuck on women become internally weaponised and pinball around our heads, doing their worst. Or at least, women wonder. F— labels. Plain Janes and Hot Girls are just women. There was absolutely no recourse pre-social media, no way of adding your voice to those who described you with such authority. Driver also shared a video of herself standing up to the headlines, Parade previously reported.

“I can’t remember what rag that was in, but yeah, that was being a young woman in the 90s. What is the rejoinder to that *****? Is it ‘I’m back to drab?’ Because I think that probably resonates with a lot of women,” she said.

Four decades after its release, GTR’s hit "When the Heart Rules the Mind" has left a lasting mark on music, making it one of the standout melodic rock songs of the 1980s.

Led by former Yes lead guitarist Steve Howe and Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, they formed an all-star band later recognized by Louder Sound as one of the greatest supergroups of all time, with ex-Nightwing vocalist Max Bacon, bassist Phil Spalding and drummer Jonathan Mover completing the lineup.

Formed in 1985 and disbanded two years later, the band's short-lived presence in the music industry didn't stop it from leaving a legacy through its songs.

Among the standout tracks from its first and only album was "When the Heart Rules the Mind."

Even as music trends have evolved over the past four decades, the song has retained its timeless charm.

In online communities like Reddit, listeners have expressed nostalgic sentiments toward the song, with many celebrating its anthemic 1980s arena-rock sound.

“Love this song and this album still,” one wrote.

“Max Bacon is such a great singer. And Phil Spaulding is amazing,” a commenter said.

On YouTube, listeners have described the song as a “rare gem,” while others consider it an "underrated" classic.

Written by GTR founders Hackett and Howe, the song was the result of combining separate musical ideas to create what became the band’s signature hit.

“We played each other some stuff we’d worked on separately,” Hackett mentioned in a previous interview, as cited by Louder Sound, adding, “Steve had an idea for the instrumental opening for a song. I had a tune that we could add, so we started to construct 'When The Heart Rules The Mind.'”

Serving as GTR's first single, the song received a strong reception in the U.S. and even reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, while it peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

However, behind the song’s success, "The Hunter" was initially set to be the band’s first single.

“We had another track called The Hunter, and that’s the one he wanted out,” Hackett shared, referring to Clive Davis, the legendary American music executive and head of Arista Records. “But we insisted When The Heart… should go first.”

In the end, the band's decision paid off, as "When the Heart Rules the Mind" became GTR's highest-charting single. Its follow-up, "The Hunter," peaked at No. 85 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Sylvester Stallone needed a song for Rocky IV. He'd loved what Survivor did with "Eye of the Tiger" for Rocky III, so he called them again. Survivor got that gig because Queen said no — Stallone had originally wanted "Another One Bites the Dust" for Rocky III and Queen declined. "Eye of the Tiger" spent six weeks at No. 1 in 1982 and won a Grammy. That's what "Burning Heart" had to follow. This time Stallone sent them the script. Jim Peterik took his copy to the hotel pool and read the whole thing in one sitting with his notebook open, scribbling ideas. The generation that saw Rocky IV in theaters in 1985 can still sing "Burning Heart" word for word. Here's how it came to exist.

The band was on the road with REO Speedwagon when the script arrived. Peterik sat by the pool and read the whole thing, scribbling ideas, impressions, and catchphrases as he went. "I soon realized that this battle was about more than just two fighters in a ring," he said, "but about the whole struggle between the ideologies of two rival nations." That's in the opening line of the finished song: "Two worlds collide, rival nations, it's a primitive clash, venting years of frustration." For a Rocky movie soundtrack in 1985, that's pretty direct. The band set up their portable Wurlitzer in a separate hotel room so they could write during the day between shows. A few cities down the road, they had about 80 percent of the song done.

Then Stallone weighed in. The song's original hook title was "The Unmistakable Fire." Stallone's response was direct: "You can't call the song 'The Unmistakable Fire.'" Frankie Sullivan suggested changing "In the human heart just about to burst" to "In the burning heart." Peterik hesitated. There was already a song called "Burning Heart" by Vandenberg. And something else was bothering him. "I always got a vision of heartburn," he admitted. He pushed past it. "I decided I was thinking too much and we called the song 'Burning Heart.'" Stallone approved. As Peterik put it: "Stallone was good with knowing what he liked and what he didn't like."

The band still needed an explosion sound for the track. They tried a few session keyboard players, and none of them got it right. Peterik called Dave Arellano, a keyboardist he'd played with in The Ides of March. Arellano's blind. Peterik picked him up in a rented car along with reams of keyboard equipment and drove him across town to the studio. After a lot of experimentation, they found the perfect sound. It lands after every "In the Burning Heart" in the finished recording. Sullivan added his lead guitar work the same day. When the finished track reached Stallone, the verdict was simple: "You got it right."

The No. 1 That Got Away and What Took It Instead

"Burning Heart" reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for two weeks in February 1986. The song blocking it was "That's What Friends Are For" by Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder and Elton John — a charity single raising money for AIDS research.In 1985 and 1986, the AIDS crisis was one of the most urgent and devastating issues in American life. A Rocky movie song about Cold War ideology was blocked from No. 1 by a song trying to save lives. It's the most unexpected chart battle of the decade. "Burning Heart" was Survivor's final Top 5 single.

The Rocky IV soundtrack re-entered the Billboard Soundtracks chart at No. 23 in June 2026 more than 40 years after its original release. The song built on a hotel Wurlitzer between REO Speedwagon tour dates is still finding new listeners.

Stallone sent a script. Peterik read it by the pool. They built the song on a Wurlitzer between tour dates. A blind keyboard player drove across town to find the right sound. Stallone killed the first title. The second title almost gave the songwriter heartburn. The song got to No. 2. An AIDS charity single got to No. 1. Forty-one years later, the soundtrack is charting again.

Jimmy Fallon found the punchline in Donald Trump’s reported desire for more Melania Trump content, joking that the president needs a steady stream of projects about the First Lady to back up his claims that he actually sees her.

During his latest Tonight Show monologue, Fallon reacted to reports that Amazon is developing a new docuseries about Melania Trump following the release of the film Melania earlier this year. The comedian used the announcement to poke fun at Trump’s frequent public comments about his wife, joking that the endless Melania projects ensure he can keep saying, “I just saw Melania.” Fallon also riffed on Trump’s Las Vegas rally, Iran negotiations and recent food safety scares before moving on to other late-night jokes.

"After releasing the movie Melania earlier this year, Amazon is now working on a new docu-series about the First Lady," Fallon said. "They got to keep making shows about Melania so Trump isn't lying when he says, 'I just saw Melania.'"

Fallon’s joke also tapped into one of the most discussed aspects of Donald and Melania Trump’s relationship: the First Lady’s limited public presence. Frances, 40, who dubbed herself the "money queen" due to her business of financial courses for women and self-help books, joined the RHOBH cast for Season 15 along with mainstays including Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley. Throughout her time on the show, Frances was regularly accused of not being authentic by her fellow cast members and had a hard time fitting in with the group.

In her post, she also mentioned that she's releasing a new "teaching memoir," and having a wedding celebration with her partner Eddie Tsivislavsky in the fall, despite having revealed the two were married at the show's reunion. She and Tsivislavsky share 2 children together. They also tragically lost one of their twins after birth in 2022, an incident that she frequently talked about on the show.

Frances is also a step-mom to two of her husband's children from a previous marriage.

"While this show gave me an incredible platform...A platform is not the same thing as a foundation," she wrote of her decision to leave the show. "And of the greatest gifts of the experience was seeing just how strong my foundation actually is."

This past season also saw the addition of fashion icon Rachel Zoe. Along with Zoe, Kemsley, and Richards, the cast also consisted of Sutton Stracke, Bozoma Saint John, and Erika Jayne. Actress Jennifer Tillyand Kathy Hilton also appeared on the show in "friend-of" capacities.

No other cast updates have been confirmed.
