I'm someone who aims to hit 10,000 steps every day, so comfortable shoes are non-negotiable for me. If a pair is too stiff or lacks support, I'll know within the first mile — which makes me pretty picky about what I put on my feet.

’80s Metal Band Announces New Song Amid 2026 Tour
Anthrax, the thrash metal veterans, are keeping the momentum going as they deliver more surprises to fans amid their major global 2026 tour.
The band, fronted by Joey Belladonna, officially released a new single, “Everybody’s Got a Plan,” the third single off their upcoming album, Cursum Perficio.
With the opening line “Everybody’s got a plan until they get punched in the face,” a lyric inspired by the former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, Belladonna showcased his powerful and aggressive yet melodic vocals accompanied by gritty riffs and high-velocity percussion.
The newly released song also features a behind-the-scenes music video that showcases their tour.
According to guitarist Scott Ian, the music video offers a glimpse of how they enjoy being on tour.

That was a plan that didn’t end up with a punch in the face! Have fun watching my friends!” the musician shared as cited by Revolver Magazine.
As for Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante, the newly released track has always been one of his “favorite songs” from the album.
“The video basically shows the band on and off stage in a montage of video clips that kinda matches the velocity of the song,” he added. “The line ‘Everybody’s Got A Plan until they get punched in the face’ is such a great line, and so true!”

First was the old-school thrash track “It’s for the Kids” in May, followed by their experimental song “The Edge of Perfection” in July.
As for the 11-track record, Anthrax will release their 12th studio album on September 18 via Megaforce Records.
On the other hand, the five-piece band, composed of Joey Belladonna, Scott Ian, Jonathan Donais, Frank Bello and Charlie Benante, is currently on its extensive 2026 world tour.
After completing the Australia and Japan legs earlier this year, followed by appearances at European summer festivals, Anthrax is set to kick off its North American and Mexico run this fall.

Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir’s 2018 Olympic free dance performed to "Moulin Rouge!" was more than a gold medal performance—it was the final masterpiece from one of the greatest ice dance partnerships in history. Lyric Medeiros started Big Brother 28 in a romantic ballad, as a crush on Rome Seymour developed into a full-on showmance within a week. But just as quickly as the love had come, it was gone, with Rome walking out the door. Feeling alone in the game, Lyric pivoted her strategy, operating as a free agent looking to cling to anyone in power. And that meant everything from flirting with other men to throwing Mallory Aurichio, one of her closest allies, under the bus. Unfortunately, her actions only rankled Haley Thogmartin, who decided to break the deal they made in the HoH competition and put her up.
Even though she was disheartened and devastated to be on the block for the third week in a row, Lyric was confident she was staying, given the targets on both Drew and Melody. But then, the impossible happened. Mere hours before the eviction, the icons had a change of heart, feeling they could use both of them to take down their other allies in the Red Corner alliance. And so, they mounted a last-minute campaign, collecting enough voted to end Lyric's time in the house before her Big Brother ballad even hit the bridge.

For the majority of the week, Drew Campbell was in the line of fire. While he had been told he was put up as a pawn, in actuality, the Toolshed alliance was ready to turn on him, feeling his gameplay was too sketchy. However, by the end of the week, the icons had changed their mind, feeling they could use him to take a shot at the other members of the Red Corner. But all that plotting was for naught anyway, as Drew mastered a Paw Patrol-theme puzzle to show every pup has their day.

One unforgettable television scene sent a 37-year-old song higher than it had ever climbed.
Kate Bush released "Running Up That Hill" in 1985 as the lead single from her fifth studio album, Hounds of Love. Although the song became a hit and reached No. 3 in the U.K., its biggest chart moment would not arrive until nearly four decades later.
Bush wrote and produced the song, which was originally titled "A Deal with God." Her record label worried the name could prevent it from receiving airplay in some countries, leading her to release it as "Running Up That Hill." The album listed the full title as "Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)."
The song explores the idea of two people switching places so they can better understand one another. Bush believed it was a stronger introduction to Hounds of Love than "Cloudbusting," which her label initially wanted to release as the album's first single.
"Running Up That Hill" found an entirely new audience in 2022 when it was used in season four of Stranger Things. The song becomes a favorite of Max Mayfield, played by Sadie Sink, and serves as an important part of her story throughout the season.
Its most memorable appearance comes in season four's fourth episode, "Dear Billy." As Max attempts to escape Vecna's control, her friends play "Running Up That Hill," giving her a path back to them. The scene quickly became one of the show's most widely discussed moments.
The response carried far beyond the series. Streams increased around the world and the song returned to the U.K. chart before climbing to No. 1 in June 2022. It remained there for three weeks, becoming the song that took the longest time to reach No. 1 in U.K. chart history.
Bush shared her appreciation for the song's unexpected success, writing, "I'm overwhelmed by the scale of affection and support the song is receiving".
The resurgence also gave Bush her first U.K. No. 1 single since "Wuthering Heights" in 1978. By June 2023, "Running Up That Hill" had surpassed one billion Spotify streams, showing how one powerful scene introduced an already beloved song to millions of new listeners.

There’s a new OnlyFans star, and now, we’re not talking about Knots Landing actress Donna Mills. While joining the adult content site at 85 is pretty impressive, this instant celeb is…well, much smaller, furrier, and walks on all fours.
That’s right, walks on all fours. The latest OnlyFans sensation is a rodent. More specifically, a group of rodents. UCLA professor and co-director of The Marmot ProjectDan Blumstein recently launched an OnlyFans account for the marmots he researches. If you’re thinking, “Wait, what?”, you aren’t alone. Here’s the story behind this seemingly strange collab.

The Marmot Project is exactly what the name implies. It’s a research project that studies marmots. Started in 1962 by behavioral ecologist Ken Armitage at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory in Colorado, this is the second largest study of individually identified mammals (the largest is Jane Goodall’s legendary chimpanzee research).
For decades, The Marmot Project received financial support from the National Science Foundation. But when recent proposals were turned down, the Project lost a significant source of funding. That’s when Blumstein had an idea.
Inspired by Elle Fanning’s character from Margo’s Got Money Troubles (the hit Apple TV series about a 20-something single mom who uses OnlyFans to solve her “money troubles”), Blumstein decided to follow suit. The researcher told PEOPLE, “I’m like, ‘Marmots have money troubles.’”
That’s when one of Blumstein’s students came up with a genius name: OnlyMarms.
Of course, it wasn’t exactly easy to start an OnlyFans account for marmots. The site has strict rules that require all users to be age-verified. Blumstein had to contact the site and explain that marmots “don’t have driver’s licenses.” OnlyFans got it and granted him approval for OnlyMarms.

So far the marmots have done pretty well for themselves. According to The Seattle Times, as of August, the account has raised $5,000 in tips.
The Marmot Project On OnlyFansWhat can you see on the OnlyMarms very G-rated OnlyFans account? First-year graduate student in the Blumstein Lab, Emily Renkey, told The Seattle Times, “These are wild animals, so it’s important for people to know that we are just getting footage of them in their natural environment.” She added, We’re just framing it as a way to be in the field observing marmots with us.”
Blumstein also talked candidly to PEOPLE about why his fundraising efforts are crucial, explaining, “This is about the destruction of universities and science and the challenges that people studying long-term ecological research are facing…It’s not just about marmots.”
‘Queen of Rock and Roll’ Cancels Upcoming Shows Due to Medical Emergency
JoanJett canceled her upcoming concerts due to medical issues.
The singer-songwriter, known as both the "Queen of Rock and Roll" and "Godmother of Punk," is recovering from a back injury. The 67-year-old will not perform her two upcoming shows.
Jett's team posted a statement about the situation to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, August 5.
“Following a recent injury, Joan Jett has undergone orthopedic surgery on a fractured vertebrae and will begin the necessary healing process,” the statement read. “In close consultation with her doctors, Joan will not be able to perform at her forthcoming September scheduled shows in Costa Mesa, CA on September 5th and in Louisville, KY on September 24th.”
Jett, alongside her band, the Blackhearts, was scheduled to perform at the Orange County Fair in California and the Bourbon & Beyond Festival in Kentucky.
“While Joan hates to disappoint fans, she will be taking this time to focus on physical therapy and healing,” the statement continued. “She’s looking forward to delivering tremendous concerts for many years to come.”
Neither Jett nor her team provided further details about her injury.
The “Bad Reputation” singer hit the road in May. Jett and her band performed in Europe in July, marking the group's first major tour since the death of drummer ThommyPrice in October 2025. She shared a video of the tour on Instagram earlier this week with the caption “Thanks for the summer love Europe, can’t wait to come back 🖤."
Jett spoke to Far Out magazine in April about her love for touring.
“To be part of people’s interior dialogue is pretty special and a unique thing," she shared "That’s what I love most, is to be out on stage visibly seeing people enjoying themselves, and I’m looking forward to it very much.”
The "Cherry Bomb" singer reflected on being on the road in her late 60s.
“I know too much now. There’s just a thing that comes when you’re young, and I was definitely naive about a lot of things,” Jett explained.
“You know, you got to have common sense, and you got to be able to take care of yourself,” she said. “I wish I knew then what I know now, you know.”

Zooey Deschanel Discussed Meeting Jonathan Scott in a July 2026 InterviewDeschanel mentioned how she met Scott during a July 2026 interview on the Zach Sang Show. She said that she felt the pairing of her and Scott was "kind of random."

'80s Rock Legend and Member of One of the 'Best Rock Bands of All Time' Turns 74
Vinnie Vincent spent only a few years with KISS, but they came during one of the biggest turning points in the band's history.
The guitarist and songwriter turns 74 on Aug. 6. Born Vincent John Cusano in Bridgeport, Conn., in 1952, Vincent became known for his fast, technically demanding guitar work and his contributions to several important KISS albums.
His place in the group's history carries particular weight decades later. KISS ranked No. 16 on Louder's list of the 50 best rock bands of all time, with the publication praising the band's music, influence and unforgettable live shows.
Vincent joined KISS in 1982 as Ace Frehley's replacement. Before officially becoming a member, he played lead guitar on six songs from Creatures of the Night and helped write "I Love It Loud," "Killer" and "War Machine." He then toured with the group as the Ankh Warrior, becoming the final member to receive an original makeup persona.
His arrival also came just before KISS removed its famous makeup. Vincent appeared on 1983's Lick It Up, the band's first album cover without the look that had helped make its members famous. He co-wrote eight of the record's 10 songs, including its title track, and played lead guitar throughout most of the album.
Vincent left KISS following the Lick It Up tour in 1984, but his career continued with the formation of Vinnie Vincent Invasion. The group released its self-titled debut in 1986 and followed it with All Systems Go in 1988, further establishing his reputation among the era's prominent hard rock guitarists.
He later reunited with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley as a songwriter on KISS' 1992 album Revenge. Vincent helped write three songs for the record, including "Unholy" and "I Just Wanna," giving him another lasting connection to the band's catalog.
After spending more than two decades away from public appearances, Vincent returned for the Atlanta KISS Expo in 2018. Looking back on his time in the group, he said, "I think everything that happened was very special, and I think the fans know it. I think it was a great chapter in the band's career," during an interview with Eddie Trunk.

1971 Soft Rock Hit, Rumored to Be About an Affair With James Taylor, Was Actually Inspired by a 24-Year-Old Cook
Like so many other iconic musicians from the '70s, Joni Mitchell and James Taylor had a relationship that was both professional and personal. The pair's romantic involvement extended to creative collaboration: Taylor played guitar on several of the tracks for Mitchell's classic 1971 album Blue; they even performed together at London's Paris Theatre in 1970. But while Mitchell admitted to writing "See You Sometime" about Taylor, another song from Blue that many assumed to have the same inspiration was actually about a very different person altogether.
Released on Blue, "Carey" was written during the period of time Mitchell spent traveling through Europe in the late '60s on a much-needed break from the music business. At one point, Mitchell ended up on the Greek island Crete, where she took up with a community of cave-dwelling hippies in Matala.
“The caves were on high sedimentary cliffs, sandstone, a lot of seashells in it," Mitchell recalled in a 1971 interview with Rolling Stone.
"The caves were carved out by the Minoans hundreds of years ago," she continued. "Then they were used later on for leper caves. Then after that the Romans came, and they used them for burial crypts. Then some of them were filled in and sealed up for a long time. People began living there, beatniks, in the fifties. Kids gradually dug out more rooms. There were some people there who were wearing human teeth necklaces around their necks."
During a performance at The Troubador, Mitchell introduced "Carey" by talking about the real man, a "red, red rogue" who lived in a cave and cooked at a local restaurant.
“I went to Greece a couple years ago and over there I met a very unforgettable character," Mitchell recalled. "I have a hard time remembering people’s names, like, so I have to remember things by association, even unforgettable characters, I have to remember by association, so his name was 'Carrot' Raditz, Carey Raditz, and oh, he’s a great character."
"He’s got sort of a flaming red personality, and flaming red hair and a flaming red appetite for red wine and he fancied himself to be a gourmet cook, you know, if he could be a gourmet cook in a cave in Matala," she continued. "And he announced to my girlfriend and I the day that we met him that he was the best cook in the area and he actually was working at the time I met him — he was working at this place called the Delphini restaurant — until it exploded, singed half of the hair off of his beard and his legs, and scorched his turban, melted down his golden earrings."
In a 2014 interview with the Wall Street Journal, Raditz himself (whose first name is actually spelled Cary) opened up about his first encounter with Mitchell, saying they "met either while I was watching a sunset or when I was blown through the door of Delfini's, a taverna where I cooked."
"I knew Joni was in Matala," Raditz added. "There was buzz among the 50 or so hippies who lived in the 30-odd caves in the cliff about a famous singer coming to the fishing village. I hadn't followed her career closely, so I wasn't sure who she was."
According to Raditz, Mitchell first played "Carey" for him as a present on his 24th birthday.
"She also gave me 10 Mickey Mouse chocolate bars," he said. "They came with these Disney character cards that the cave people traded. When she sang the song, I was surprised by it, since I'm the subject. But I wasn't blown away. It sounded like a ditty, something she had tossed off. I believe the song went on longer than the final version on Blue. I think she changed some of the lines, too. As I recall, she sang something like, 'Last night I couldn't sleep, the sea was full of sheep.' One of the local expressions was that when the sea was choppy, the whitecaps looked like sheep."
Raditz went on to say that while he was sad to see their brief affair end, he wasn't surprised.
"She was always saying she was going to take off soon, so her intentions were clear," Raditz explained. "Months earlier she was an elegant lady living in Laurel Canyon, and Matala was as foreign to her world as you could get. Life was very simple and raw in Matala, and eventually she wanted to return to her home and career. I liked Joni a lot and didn't like losing her company. But on the road, you already know that the friendships you develop are short-lived. That's built into the experience."

Bachelor in Paradise star Joe Amabile is sharing a positive update after undergoing brain surgery.
On Wednesday, Aug. 5, the reality TV star and podcast host underwent a craniotomy to remove a brain tumor.
One day later, Amabile shared photos from his hospital bed on Instagram showing bandages wrapped around his head while holding the hand of his wife, Serena Pitt.
He captioned the post, "They got it all!" seemingly referring to the successful removal of the tumor.
Bachelor Nation quickly flooded the comments with messages of support.
"Yayyyy!!! Praise! So so happy to see this update!!" wrote Ashley Iaconetti.
"F--k yes they did," commented Blake Moynes.
"You did it Joe!! Best news!!! 🫶🏾." added Tayshia Adams.

Last month, Amabile revealed that doctors had discovered what appeared to be an early-stage brain tumor after he underwent a Prenuvo scan, a proactive full-body MRI.
“So a little medical update. I didn’t share my Prenuvo results because they ended up finding a lesion in my brain,” Amabile said in a video shared to his Instagram. “So then I had to go get a brain MRI, and there was a blueberry-sized lesion in my brain that looks to be a glioma, which is a tumor.”
He went on to explain that he would undergo a craniotomy to remove the lesion and determine whether it was cancerous.
“So I now need to get brain surgery to get it removed and get it tested, and then we’re gonna go from there,” Amabile continued. “So it’s been a wild couple weeks. Definitely wasn’t expecting this.”
“I think it’s one of those things where you’re like, ‘Oh, something like this never happened to me,’ and here I am,” he added. “They say it’s really early stages. I hope they are able to get it all, and I’m fine. But I will keep you updated.”
Amabile met Pitt while filming Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2021. The couple tied the knot in an intimate courthouse ceremony in New York City in October 2022 before celebrating with a larger wedding in Charleston, South Carolina, the following year.
Elvis' Leading Lady in Two Hit Movies Dies at 87
Joan Blackman, the actress who played Elvis Presley's leading lady in both Blue Hawaii and Kid Galahad, has died at the age of 87.
Blackman died March 16 at a hospital in Santa Rosa, California, according to her son, Ngai Tarkington (via The Hollywood Reporter). She was a longtime resident of nearby Calistoga.
The San Francisco native became one of the few actresses to star opposite Presley in more than one film. In 1961's Blue Hawaii, she played tour guide Maile Duval, who ultimately marries Elvis' Chad Gates at the end of the beloved musical comedy. The following year, she reunited with the singer in Kid Galahad, portraying Rose Grogan, who once again becomes the romantic partner of Presley's character.
Beyond her work with Elvis, Blackman appeared alongside Dean Martin in the 1959 drama Career and starred opposite Jerry Lewis in the 1960 comedy Visit to a Small Planet. She also had a recurring role during the 1965-66 season of ABC's primetime soap Peyton Place, playing Marion Fowler, the wife of district attorney John Fowler (John Kerr).
Blackman launched her film career after signing with the Hecht-Hill-Lancaster production company and made her big-screen debut in 1959's Good Day for a Hanging. She later revealed that she auditioned twice for the role of Maria in West Side Story and believed she was close to landing the part before Natalie Wood was cast.
Over the years, she also appeared in films including The Great Impostor, Twilight of Honor, Macon County Line and Moonrunners. Television audiences saw her on series such as Perry Mason, Bonanza, I Spy, Gunsmoke and Run for Your Life.
Blackman was married to actor Joby Baker from 1959 to 1961 and later to actor Rockne Tarkington from 1968 to 1970. Her son said she spent her years away from Hollywood gardening and singing locally around Calistoga. She was preceded in death by her son, Rockne Tarkington Jr., who died in 2019.

Amanda Knox Turns Her Wrongful Imprisonment Tragedy Into Comedy Show
Amanda Knox, who became famous after being wrongly accused of murder while studying abroad in Italy, is defending her upcoming comedy show about the tragedy.
The 39-year-old author is set to perform her sold-out show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. It is set to debut on Friday and run for 11 continuous nights.
Knox was convicted and later acquitted of the murder and sexual assault of her British roommate, MeredithKercher, nearly 20 years ago. Kercher was discovered stabbed to death on November 2, 2007, in her apartment. She lived with a 20-year-old Knox and two Italian women. The case quickly made international headlines.
The show is called Cartwheel, alluding to the story that Knox did cartwheels in the police station after her roommate's death.
According to the show's description, it follows Knox's as she is "juggling motherhood and finally getting around to being furious about the whole wrongful-imprisonment thing. Especially when half the world is telling her to get over it, while the other half still thinks she's guilty. How on earth will she explain it all to her daughter, who is now asking to hear the story of 'Mama Goes to Italy'? And can she protect her from, well, everything, knowing her own mother couldn't protect her no matter how hard she tried?"
Knox and her former Italian boyfriend, RaffaeleSollecito, were acquitted by Italy’s highest court in 2015. Knox spent nearly four years in prison during the investigation, murder trial, and while in appeals court.
Rudy Guede was convicted of murdering Kercher after his DNA was discovered at the crime scene. He left prison in 2021 after serving the majority of his 16-year sentence.
Knox has been in the United States since 2011. She has written two memoirs: Waiting to Be Heard: A Memoir (2013) and Free: My Search for Meaning (2025).
Miss North Carolina USA Stripped of Her Crown
Miss North Carolina USA was stripped of her crown, with the organization saying that Brittany Boltinhouse's conduct does not uphold their "standards and values.”
Boltinhouse was set to represent North Carolina at the 75th annual Miss USA 2026 pageant on Aug. 27 in Miami. However, that honor will now go to first runner-up Myla Hadley.
A statement was released by Blaize Productions, who are the organizers of the North Carolina competition.
"As an organization entrusted with selecting and preparing women to represent our states on the national stage, we must uphold the standards and values that our titleholders agree to embrace when accepting the honor of wearing the crown," the statement read. "After careful consideration, multiple conversations, and in consultation with the Miss USA Organization, A Blaize Productions has made the difficult decision to conclude Brittany Boltinhouse's reign as Miss North Carolina USA 2026.
"This decision was not made lightly. It followed a thorough review of recently surfaced information and was based on the totality of the circumstances and our responsibility to preserve the integrity of the Miss North Carolina USA title and the value of our organization."
Miss USA President and CEO Thom Brodeur issued a separate statement, saying that the organization does "not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia, nor language that strips any person of their dignity - whoever they are"
"A title here isn't a trinket. It is a position of trust, extended by an organization and accepted by a woman who agrees to carry a standard in public," the statement continued. "When that standard is broken, the title cannot continue as though nothing happened."
Brodeur's statement also said the decision was made together with Boltinhouse, adding that "Brittany will soon issue her own statement." She has not yet commented on this as of the time of publishing this article.
1971 Rock Song, With 21-Year-Old Singer of Fleetwood Mac, Is Still a Beloved Hit 55 Years Later
Before Fleetwood Mac became synonymous with blockbuster albums like Rumours, the band was exploring a more atmospheric and introspective sound.

In the years since, Kirwan's contributions to Fleetwood Mac have received growing recognition.
While later incarnations of the band achieved unprecedented commercial success, many longtime fans and critics continue to point to his early-1970s compositions as some of the group's most beautiful and emotionally resonant recordings. 1964 Ballad, Written by The Rolling Stones, Launched a 17-Year-Old Singer’s Career
At just 17 years old, Marianne Faithfull sang a song about growing old. Released in the summer of 1964, “As Tears Go By” not only changed her life forever, but it launched two future rock stars into the songwriting hall of fame.
Faithfull burst onto the scene with her gorgeous debut, an orchestral pop-rock ballad that was the perfect vehicle to introduce her crystalline vocals to the world. What few recognized then, and even now, is that the song’s origins are steeped in rock royalty. “As Tears Go By” was written by none other than The Rolling Stones' Mick Jaggerand Keith Richards.
Looking back on the song more than 60 years later, Faithfull’s bittersweet meditation on lost youth is a fascinating piece of rock history, starting with the story behind how Jagger and Richards became involved.
Long before The Rolling Stones were selling out stadiums with fans clamoring for “(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction,” “Gimme Shelter,” “Paint It Black,” and “Sympathy for the Devil,” the band was a rising blues outfit who had built their reputation on covers, yet to establish themselves as songwriters.
That is, until their manager, Andrew Loog Oldham, demanded original material from his guys.
According to rock lore, Loog Oldham locked the future rock stars in a room, demanding they write something original “with brick walls all around it, high windows, and no sex,” Far Outreported. The result was the beautifully somber and reflective “As Tears Go By.” Only problem was, it was too soft for the Stones. It needed a more delicate touch.
“I first met Marianne at a party,” Loog Oldham, who is also credited with writing the song, told Uncut magazine, via Songfacts. “She had an acoustic guitar and was sitting on a radiator looking extraordinary. I went up to her and said, ‘Can you sing?’ She said, ‘Sort of.’ That was enough. I told her to meet me at Olympic the following week.”
But there’s another rock surprise hidden in the song's origins.
Before he became the guitar hero of the legendary Led Zeppelin, a 20-year-old Jimmy Page was still working as one of London’s busiest session guitarists when he played the shimmery 12-string acoustic guitar heard throughout the song. As a complement to the distinctive English horn line arranged by musical director Mike Leander and the overall baroque pop sound, Page’s understated guitar work was the perfect frame for Faithfull’s vocals.
Faithfull’s rock-rich, forlorn ballad was a global smash.
It cracked the Top 10 in the U.K., peaking at No. 9 on the Official Singles Chart, and No. 22 in the U.S. on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. The song fully launched Faithfull into the spotlight. Following her debut, Faithfull released several successful folk and pop records, while crossing over into fashion and film.
As Jagger’s new girlfriend, she also became the center of 1960s counterculture.
“As Tears Go By” worked overtime for its makers, also launching a legendary writing partnership between Jagger and Richards, which became the creative core behind one of the world’s biggest rock bands.
In 1965, the Stones recorded their own version of the song. A more robust, rock-focused take, their rendition was also a hit, reaching No. 6 in the U.S., but the Faithfull original remains the definitive version.
Though it might be one of rock’s greatest ironies—a song about looking back on youth being written by musicians barely out of their teens—"As Tears Go By" continues to resonate as one of pop’s most poignant reflections on growing older.
