1967 Hit Was Just Ranked the 'Top Rock Song of All Time'

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:57pm

Rock bands have consistently produced countless hits, making it difficult to narrow down the best songs from the genre. However, Ultimate Classic Rock did just that and recently released a list of the 100 best rock songs of all time.

The ranking, published on April 22, featured classics like Fleetwood Mac's 1977 hit, "Dreams," David Bowie's "Heroes" from 1977, Pink Floyd's 1975 "Wish You Were Here," the 1986 song, "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi, Prince and the Revolution's 1986 "Kiss," "Purple Haze" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience from 1967, Queen's 1975 "Bohemian Rhapsody," Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" from 1975, 1980's "Once in a Lifetime"by Talking Heads, and Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," released in 1991.

Ultimate Classic Rock's top five songs included Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" from 1975, The Beatles' 1967 classic "A Day in the Life," Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" from 1965, and 1971's "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin.

The Beatles' 1967 hit single "Strawberry Fields Forever" took home the title of the best rock song ever released. Ultimate Classic Rock reported that the song deserved the list's top spot because of its unique production and how much it has influenced the rock genre.

John Lennon & Paul McCartney Shared Details About the Song

The official Beatles TikTok account shared a video of John Lennon discussing writing "Strawberry Fields Forever." He shared that he began writing the song while in Spain during the production of the 1967 film, How I Won the War, wherein he played the character Gripweed. Lennon, who died in 1980 at the age of 40, said it was a relatively long process to come up with the iconic tune.

"It took me a long time to write it. I was writing bits and bits and bits," recalled the musician.

He also shared that he "just wanted the lyrics to be like conversational."

"I just wanted it to be like we're talking and then I just happen to be singing, you know like that. And it was very quiet," said Lennon.

In a separate interview, Lennon's bandmate Paul McCartney noted that Lennon was inspired to write the 1967 single "because he used to live next door to this place called Strawberry Fields," a Salvation Army children's home, in Liverpool. According to McCartney, he would visit the real Strawberry Fields with Lennon.

"It was just his little garden to play in. So whenever I would visit him, and we'd go past, and he'd say, 'This is Strawberry Fields,'" recalled McCartney, now 83.

1961 Hit Film Ranked Among ‘Best Movies of All Time’

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:56pm

Films have been making an impact on popular culture since they became a mainstream entertainment medium. Among the countless films ever created, some stand out as persevering classics.

Rotten Tomatoes ranked the 300 best movies ever made, curating a list of the greatest films in history. Ranked alongside iconic movies such as Steven Spielberg's 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark at No. 173 and Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger's 1948 film The Red Shoes at No. 177, Ingmar Bergman's classic Through a Glass Darkly secured the No. 174 spot.

Originally released in Sweden in October 1961, Through a Glass Darkly made its U.S. debut on March 13, 1962, marking the first installment in Bergman's "Trilogy of Faith". While not a mainstream box office hit, the film was a critical triumph, earning a rare score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. During the 1962 awards season, the film won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, attesting to the film's beauty and Bergman's artistic prowess.

Through a Glass Darkly is a psychological drama set on a remote island. The film follows Karin, a young schizophrenic woman who was recently released from a mental hospital, as she vacations with her husband, father and brother. Throughout the movie, Karin's fragile mental state begins to decline, ultimately leading to a familial crisis.

The film touches on themes of isolation and existential despair, providing audiences with a unique exploration of mental health for the time. The terrifying portrayal of Karin's suffering, balanced through an artistic lens, left audiences both shocked and in awe. Even after over six decades, the film remains a vital part of the cinematic medium, attesting to its longstanding legacy as a masterclass in psychological realism.

2007 Hit Film Ranked Among ‘Best Movies of the Century’

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:52pm

It wasn't a box office smash when it first arrived, but over time, one 2007 Western quietly earned a reputation as one of the most striking films of its era.

When The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford premiered in theaters in 2007, it wasn’t your typical Western. Led by Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck, the film leans into mood and character over action, taking its time with a story about fame, obsession and betrayal. It didn’t dominate at the box office, but over the years, it’s become a favorite among critics — now named as one of the “best movies of the 21st century” by Rolling Stone.

Based on Ron Hansen's 1983 novel of the same name, the movie dramatizes the relationship between Jesse James (Pitt) and Robert Ford (Affleck), focusing on the events that led up to James' assassination. The movie was directed by Andrew Dominik, and also featured Sam Shepard, Mary-Louise Parker, Paul Schneider, Jeremy Renner, Zooey Deschanel and Sam Rockwell in supporting roles.

After the film had its world premiere at the 64th Venice International Film Festival, it was theatrically released in the United States on Sept. 21, 2007, by Warner Bros. Pictures. Though it received positive reviews, it was criticized for its runtime (clocking in at about 160 minutes) and bombed at the box office. The Assassination of Jesse James earned two Academy Award nominations, including Best Supporting Actor for Affleck and Best Cinematography for Deakins. In addition, Affleck was nominated for a Golden Globe, a SAG Award and a Critics' Choice Award, while Pitt won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor.

Actors Garret Dillahunt, Casey Affleck, Mary-Louise Parker, Producers Dede Gardner, Jules Daly, Director Andrew Dominik and Brad Pitt arrive at The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater on September 18, 2007, in New York.

Since its release almost 20 years ago, it has gained a large fan following, with many of them organizing re-releases of the film under the "Jesse James Revival" banner. Pitt even revealed, a decade after the film's release, that The Assassination of Jesse James is his "favorite movie."

"My favorite movie is the worst-performing film of anything I've done, The Assassination of Jesse James," the 62-year-old actor told GQ in 2017. "If I believe something is worthy, then I know it will be worthy in time to come."

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford can be rented on Google Play Movies, Apple TV, Fandango at Home and Amazon Prime Video for $5.99.

‘Sopranos’ Star Opens Up About Keeping Life-Changing Health Diagnosis Secret

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:51pm

Jamie-Lynn Sigler is opening up about the difficult decision to keep her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis private for 14+ years. In a new interview with Us Weekly, the former Sopranos star reflected on why she chose to keep the life-changing condition out of the public eye for so long and how it impacted her personal and professional life.

"My brother was suffering from terrible OCD, but we were told, 'Let’s not tell anybody.' My mom was always like, 'Put lipstick on and say everything’s fine.' Your problems are not for anybody else to judge, and it’ll keep you safe," Sigler told Us Weekly in an interview published on Wednesday, April 22.

The actress went on to say that keeping her health a secret ended up taking its toll.

"I was always acting. I had no idea what authenticity felt like. Everything was a lie and for show. I didn’t even know who I was. All these secrets had piled up, and I was suffocating. I was constantly in fight or flight and survival mode. I’m sure that it contributed to a lot of the flare-ups I experienced," she told the outlet.

Sigler, 44, was diagnosed with MS during the third season of the hit HBO show. She revealed the diagnosis in an interview with People magazine back in 2020.

"I wasn’t ready until now," Sigler told the outlet of the decision to reveal her illness. "You’d think that after all these years, somebody would be settled with something like this, but it’s still hard to accept."

View this post on Instagram

During the interview, Sigler shared some of her symptoms, explaining that every day things, like walking up stairs, was frustrating for her. She opened up about her diagnosis shortly after tying the knot with Cutter Dykstra.

"I'm at a point in my life with my son, with my new marriage, it’s a new me. I don’t want to hold a secret where it feels like I have something to be ashamed of or have something to hide. It’s part of me, but it’s not who I am," she said of the timing of her reveal. "I don’t know what’s to come. But I’m excited for the first time in a long time,” she says. “I’ve got my brain and my heart and I’ve prepared myself for everything that could happen. But I’ve got an amazing husband, the best son, and I hope that we can make more babies and just keep having fun. I’m the luckiest girl in the world."

In 2024, Sigler teamed up with actress Christina Applegate for a podcast called MeSsy. Applegate was diagnosed with MS in 2021. The women discuss MS and every day life on the pod, which has been very well received.

'90s Star Jennifer Love Hewitt Debuts a Dramatic Hair Transformation Fans Are Loving

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:49pm

Jennifer Love Hewitt was clearly waiting for a change, and now that she's on hiatus from filming 9-1-1, that's exactly what she did. And she seems to be loving the new 'do because the 47-year-old former brunette has shared two different photos of the hair transformation in less than 24 hours.

The first photo, which Hewitt shared to Instagram on Tuesday, Apr. 21, was a close-up of the Heartbreakers star, giving us a good look at her fresh color and style.

With a minimal no-makeup look and a neutral expression, all the emphasis was on her hair, which is now shoulder-length and honey-blonde.

In the caption, Hewitt wrote, "We always do a hair change for hiatus! I loved time with my girls and this new look @nikkilee901 @tarynhoustonn @seama901"

Just two hours after posting the first picture, Hewitt reposted a video to Instagram showing the hair change, with a before-and-after transition that was initially shared by one of the three stylists she tagged in the first post. It was also shared by the salon, Nine Zero One, which also boasts celebrity clients like Emma Roberts, Selena Gomez, and Julianne Hough.

In the newest share, Hewitt did the voiceover of a very viral clip from Legally Blonde where Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) says, "I think I dropped something on the floor that I need to pick up."

Hewitt then bends over with her pre-colored hair out of view, and when she snaps back up into the frame, she fluffs her perfectly colored and curled new hair as Fergie's "London Bridge" plays.

The simple but effective transition had Hewitt's fans going ga-ga for her new hair with one calling it "The perfect honey blonde 🍯"

Another weighed in, calling her "Beautiful absolutely beautiful 😻"

"Literally she looks so good😍" another wrote.

Country Singer Who Was Born Today Didn’t Have a Say Until This Grammy Hit

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:48pm

Glen Campbell was born on April 22 in Arkansas. He played with the Beach Boys, and other legends. Campbell revealed which hit changed his career, putting him in the driving seat instead of taking orders.

‘Gentle on My Mind’ Was Pivotal for Glen Campbell

The True Grit actor played guitar on the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations" and more. "Oh, I did their sessions from '64 to the end of '67," the singer told Gary James, according to Classic Bands. "The last thing I worked on with 'em was the 'Pet Sounds' album. I was on the road with 'em maybe a year, year and a half, off and on."

"Gentle On My Mind" is about the singer always traveling but always thinking about a loved one. The lyrics beautifully paint the picture of this person in the back roads in his mind.

"I didn't have hardly any say up until 'Gentle On My Mind,'" Campbell said. "That was my first project to go into the studio and do what I wanted to do. I never was one to rock the boat."

The country song won a Grammy for country, and Campbell outsold The Beatles in 1969. Although Campbell wrote some of his songs, John Hartford wrote this banjo-forward hit.

Hartford said he wrote the song in 30 minutes and was inspired by his tumultuous marriage and Doctor Zhivago. "I think the melody is the most important part of [writing]," the songwriter once said, according to Paste Magazine. The words later came to him.

Campbell died in 2011 at 81 years old after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, leaving behind a great catalogue of work. He had nine children.

About 1/3 of Americans Said They Changed or Canceled Summer Plans Due To Rising Prices, According to New Data

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:29pm

If you’ve been feeling like travel is getting more expensive lately, you’re not alone, and new data confirms it. A recent summer travel survey found that roughly one-third of Americans have already changed or canceled their travel plans due to rising costs.

That’s a major shift in behavior, and it says a lot about where travel is headed in 2026.

The Data Behind the Trend

According to new survey data from U.S. News, rising prices are directly affecting how Americans plan their summer travel. About one-third of travelers say they’ve adjusted or canceled their plans altogether, while many others are scaling back in different ways.

Even among those still planning trips, spending is under pressure. The average summer traveler is expected to spend nearly $4,000 on flights and lodging alone.

At the same time, a large majority, about 89% of travelers, say they’re actively trying to save money on their trips, says Nerd Wallet.  And it goes even further: more than 2 in 5 Americans say they’d rather skip a vacation entirely than book a “budget” trip.

In other words, people still want to travel, but they’re becoming far more selective about how and where they do it.

Why People Are Adjusting Their Plans

So what’s driving this shift? It comes down to a mix of economic pressure and rising travel costs.

One of the biggest factors is airfare. Global fuel shortages and rising oil prices are pushing up airline costs, and those increases are being passed directly to travelers. Airlines are also cutting routes and adding fees to stay profitable, which means fewer options and higher prices overall.

Beyond flights, everyday travel expenses, like hotels, food, and transportation, are also climbing, adding up quickly once you’re on a trip. As a result, travelers are adapting in several ways:

  • Choosing closer or domestic destinations
  • Taking shorter trips
  • Booking earlier (or sometimes not at all)
  • Switching to cheaper accommodations or travel dates

There’s also a psychological factor. With many Americans already dealing with higher costs in everyday life, travel is becoming one of the first areas where people cut back.

Related: This Summer’s Biggest Travel Hack? These 8 Under-the-Radar Regional Theme Parks

How to Save Money While Traveling This Summer

If you’re still planning a trip, the good news is there are plenty of ways to cut costs without sacrificing the experience.

  • Be flexible with your travel dates: Flying midweek or during off-peak times can significantly reduce airfare. Even shifting your trip by a day or two can make a difference.
  • Book early but monitor prices: With prices fluctuating, booking early can lock in a deal. At the same time, keep an eye on fares in case they drop.
  •  Consider alternative destinations: Popular hotspots tend to be the most expensive. Choosing a less touristy location can save you money and offer a more relaxed experience.
  • Use points, miles, or rewards: According to Nerd Wallet, about one-third of travelers are turning to rewards programs to offset costs.
  • Travel closer to home: Domestic trips or road trips can eliminate the biggest expense of airfare while still giving you a change of scenery.
  • Set a realistic budget (and stick to it): It’s easy for small upgrades to add up. Planning ahead can help you avoid overspending.

With many Americans changing or canceling their summer plans, it’s clear that rising prices are reshaping how people travel in 2026. The days of spontaneous, no-budget trips are being replaced by smarter planning and more strategic choices.

The good news? With the right approach, you can still take a great trip this summer without breaking the bank.

Boasting eight roomy tiers, this plant stand will provide your plants with a proper home, allowing you to display all your greenery in one organized space. It has an asymmetrical build, with two metal beams that shoot up from the base. One side is fixed with four shelves, while the other has two. While you can fit more plants on the four-tier side, you can use the two-tier side to showcase taller plants, as there is more distance between the shelves. The bottom of the plant stand features a wide base and an elevated shelf where you can also keep some plants.

Many shoppers noted that the shelves are spaced apart well, allowing their plants to receive ample amounts of natural light. However, if certain areas of your home don’t get enough sunlight, especially where you want to keep your plants on display, this plant stand is here to help.

The underside of the top three shelves is equipped with grow lights, designed to stimulate natural sunlight to help your plants grow and thrive. The lights have 10 brightness levels and three different color settings, including white, a red and blue mode, and a red, blue, and white combination. It’s also equipped with a timer function that you can set to last for three, nine, or 12 hours.

“My plants are thriving, even in areas of the house with very little natural sunlight,” one shopper raved. They said it’s all thanks to the grow lights and the height between the shelves. Another reviewer noted that since setting up their stand, they’ve noticed their plants “looking healthier, growing faster, and even sprouting new leaves.”

Shoppers described this plant stand as “elegant,” “beautiful,” and gorgeous,” and said that it “makes the room feel lively.”

Measuring 23.6 inches wide, 11.8 inches deep, and 63.4 inches tall, this piece is ideal for both small and large spaces alike. Because it builds up, it takes advantage of vertical space rather than sprawling across precious floor space.

Nancy Guthrie Update: Lab in Serial Killer Conviction Reportedly Involved in Savannah's Mom's Case

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:29pm

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie's mom, Nancy Guthrie, 84, is still missing after her Feb. 1 abduction in Tucson, Ariz. However, a lab that helped in the conviction of Long Island serial killer Rex Heuermann is now reportedly involved in the case.

On April 21, genetic genealogist CeCe Moore weighed in on the FBI recently receiving DNA evidence from Nancy's home, after the Pima County Sheriff's Department first sent it to a Florida lab.

That hair sample, Moore speculated, is likely at the San Francisco forensics lab that helped solve the Long Island killer's case earlier in April. Heuermann pleaded guilty to killing eight women in the Gilgo Beach area between 1993 and 2010 thanks to DNA evidence retrieved from rootless hair samples.

"I am pretty confident that they will want to use the lab that they have been extremely successful with, which is Astrea," Moore told Fox News Digital. "DLI has been working to refine their own rootless hair analysis, but I haven't seen any successful cases from them yet."

She added, "The FBI used them for the Gilgo case. So they have a lot of confidence in Astrea... Sending it to Astrea, where there is a proven track record, is by far the safest option."

Related: Nancy Guthrie Update: Petition Launched for Private Investigative Group to Join Search

During a separate interview with NewsNation on April 19, Moore offered insight into the DNA analysis timeline.

"It can take months," she admitted. "In my experience with them, I've already helped law enforcement solve six cases using rootless hair alone. And so, I know it can be done. My guess is that because this is not a cold case yet, and most of the cases are where we're using rootless hair, that they will push this to the top of the priority list and get it done more quickly."

Nancy was last seen at her home on the evening of Jan. 31, with her family reporting her missing on Feb. 1. As of writing, no suspect has been named.

Costco Is Changing the Way Shoppers Buy Bakery Items—and Fans Are Relieved

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:25pm

Costco is known for doing things in bulk. From pantry staples to paper towels, shoppers expect to stock up and make room in the freezer. But lately, members have noticed a subtle shift in the bakery section that makes routine grocery runs feel much more manageable. It is a small adjustment on paper, yet for many longtime shoppers, it solves a very specific frustration.

Fans have taken to social media to share their excitement, with some calling the update long overdue. If you have ever stood in the Costco bakery debating how much you really need versus how much you are required to buy, this change will be music to your ears.

A Simpler Way to Shop the Costco Bakery View this post on Instagram

Costco shoppers, including user @costcobuys, shared that in select warehouses, Costco is now offering its beloved bagels in single packs rather than requiring shoppers to purchase multiple bundles at once. Specifically, members can now find eight-count packs priced at $4.99 in some locations. That replaces the previous setup that required buying two packs to complete a set.

Instead of committing to a larger quantity all at once, Costco members can grab one pack and be done. Popular flavors like plain, everything and Parmesan are reportedly included in the rollout, though availability can vary by warehouse.

This update may seem minor compared to Costco's headline-grabbing product drops, but it directly addresses a common pain point. Not every household wants or needs to bring home a huge amount of bagels in one trip. By offering a single pack, Costco is giving shoppers more control over how much they purchase.

Why Fans Are Relieved

For years, many Costco shoppers have joked about the pressure of finishing bakery items before they go stale. Buying in bulk often meant freezing half the package or making it a mission to eat through everything quickly. While freezing works, it is not ideal for those who prefer a fresher texture and flavor.

This new option reduces that pressure. Shoppers no longer have to plan freezer space or coordinate breakfasts around finishing multiple packs in time. A single eight-count pack is easier to manage for smaller households or anyone who simply does not want extras lingering in the kitchen.

It also maintains the value factor. At $4.99 per pack, the price remains competitive while offering a more practical quantity. For Costco members who love the bakery section but feel locked into buying more than they need, the change feels like a win.

As with many Costco updates, availability may vary by location and continue to evolve. Still, early reactions suggest this bakery shift is one that members genuinely appreciate.

Is the Rumor That the U.S. Will Run Out of Money To Pay Airport Security Workers by May Actually True?

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:15pm

Airports are places where rumors move almost as fast as airplanes. Stand in a security line long enough, and you will hear speculation about delays, weather, strikes, or government politics. Recently, another rumor has started circulating among travelers. The United States might soon run out of money to pay airport security workers.

That headline sounds dramatic. It also stems from a real warning from government officials. According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, funding used to pay tens of thousands of Transportation Security Administration officers could run out in the coming weeks if Congress does not approve new funding.

The concern comes during a prolonged funding dispute involving the Department of Homeland Security. Emergency funds have been temporarily used to pay airport screeners after weeks of financial uncertainty, but officials say that money could run dry by early May.

Don't miss a beat—subscribe now for trending travel updates and destination guides.

Why TSA Funding Is Suddenly in the Spotlight

To understand the situation, it helps to know how airport security works in the United States. Roughly 50,000 Transportation Security Administration officers screen passengers and baggage at airports across the country. Their salaries are funded by federal grants administered by the Department of Homeland Security.

Related: TSA Considering Major Changes Amid the Busy Summer Season

In recent months, political gridlock in Washington has created a partial shutdown affecting DHS funding. While essential security services continue operating, the financial pipeline that supports them has become unstable. Officials have warned that payroll alone for TSA workers costs about $1.6 billion every two weeks, according to Reuters.

To prevent immediate disruption, emergency funds were used earlier this spring to continue paying airport security officers who had already endured weeks without pay. However, those temporary funds were never meant to last long. Officials say they could run out by early May if lawmakers fail to pass new funding legislation.

What Could Actually Happen at Airports

It is important to separate rumor from reality. Airports are not expected to suddenly shut down overnight. TSA agents are considered essential workers, meaning security screening would continue even during funding disputes.

Earlier this year, long lines already appeared at several U.S. airports due to funding uncertainty that led to staffing shortages. Some checkpoints saw security waits stretching for hours as workers called out or left their jobs entirely. Reports also show that hundreds of TSA officers have resigned since the funding standoff began. When fewer officers are available, airports respond by consolidating checkpoints or slowing the screening process, as per Reuters.

Related: I Absolutely Refuse to Use TSA Facial Recognition at the Airport— Here's Why

For travelers, the impact is not theoretical. It looks like missed connections, packed security lines, and the slow creeping anxiety that comes from watching the departure time get closer while the line barely moves.

Why Airlines Are Watching This Situation Closely

Airlines have already raised concerns about the funding dispute. Industry leaders have urged lawmakers to resolve the issue quickly, warning that prolonged instability in airport security could harm travel operations across the country.

From the airline perspective, security screening is one of the most fragile parts of the travel ecosystem. Airlines can adjust aircraft schedules, but they cannot control security staffing. That means any disruption in TSA operations affects the entire network. Flights depart late. Passengers miss connections. Customer service desks fill with frustrated travelers. For an industry built on tight schedules and precise logistics, the security checkpoint is one place where chaos spreads quickly.

What Smart Travelers Should Do Right Now

The good news is that this situation has not yet disrupted travel nationwide. Flights are still operating normally, and security checkpoints remain open. But travelers can take a few simple steps while the situation unfolds.

Arrive earlier than usual, especially at busy airports. What normally takes thirty minutes could take twice that during staffing shortages. Check airport wait times before leaving home. Many airports and airline apps now publish live estimates of security line wait times.

And finally, pack patience alongside your boarding pass. The officers scanning bags and checking IDs are the same people navigating this funding uncertainty themselves.

'RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Season 11 Cast Revealed: Meet the 18 Returning Queens

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:15pm

Appearing on RuPaul's Drag Race is a career-making and life-changing experience. Even if you don't walk away with the crown, we have seen the Emmy-winning reality show produce some of drag's biggest names and mugs. And, for a select few, the chance to come back and compete all over again.

Enter: RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. Initially debuting in 2012, it's now become an annual occurance, as queens from across the seasons re-enter the "Werk Room" to showcase their skills once more. And last year saw a massive game-changing shake-up to the format, as, rather than competing all at once, a whopping 18 queens competed in a tournament-style battle for the crown. Over the course of three episodes, a group of six would compete for one of three spots in the endgame. After three groups, the nine queens who moved on would hit the "merge" (to use a piece of Survivor parlance), where they would compete together — and against each other — to hopefully take home the win.

It's a change so nice, they evidently used it twice! Season 11 of All Stars, arriving with its first two episodes on Paramount+ on Friday, May 8, will once again divide the cast into three groups of six, as they compete for a spot at the "merge." However, according to a press release from Paramount, this time, "At the end of each bracket, the top two queens with the highest point totals will advance to the semi-finals and go head-to-head with the top queens from the other groups in another round of fierce competition. The tournament will culminate in an epic Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown grand finale episode, where the finalists will battle it out for a grand prize of $200,000 and a place in the coveted Drag Race Hall of Fame."

The interesting wrinkle: These queens now have seen what the format has to offer from last season, including how pregame relationships and newfound alliances play a role. Could this mean we get the most strategically sickening season of All Stars yet?

Check out the images and bios of the 18 contestants of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars (2026) below, from early-season standouts to new-school stars. And be sure to check out the two-episode premiere on Friday, May 8 on Paramount+.

Nate Berkus Says This Budget-Friendly Table Decor Item Will Instantly Elevate Your Home

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:12pm

Nate Berkus, the iconic interior designer who had his own talk show and was frequently featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, has some home décor advice for everyone this spring. Instead of going on a shopping spree and buying a bunch of trendy new items to revamp your space, you should invest in a few small pieces that will last for years to come.

“I actually think that the world of high-end tabletop has been ignored!” Berkus said in an interview with E! News.

The number one item that home owners should buy, according to Berkus? “A beautiful pair of vintage antique candlesticks," he said. "Sterling, bronze, stone, brass, it doesn't matter. Both for formal entertaining, and more importantly for informal entertaining, because you can use your white dishes with something like that, and it automatically feels elevated.”

Related: The Property Brothers Name the Kitchen Appliance You Should Remove From Your Home

Berkus stated that, when you are hosting guests, the décor is as important as everything else that goes into planning the evening. "Entertaining is obviously about food and setting the environment and all those things, music and lighting, but it's also about the ability to set a beautiful table," he said. "You can start collecting those things now."

Another piece of décor that he recommended was a mirror. He said a "beautiful gilded mirror or an iron mirror is something that you'll always find a place for no matter where you move."

When it comes to the living room, he also suggested purchasing "a well-made sofa. It doesn't have to be expensive, but it does need to be well made and in a solid fabric."

At the end of the day, what matters most is that you’re selecting pieces that fit your individual style instead of trying to lean into popular trends. "I would say that if that's something that feels like it's the right look for you, and you're not doing it just because a lot of people are doing it, then I would definitely buy and collect things that you know you're going to love 10 years from now,” the designer said.

Jeremy Allen White Was Once Spotted In This Chicago Mexican Restaurant, and It's Shockingly Affordable

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:11pm

Chicago is practically synonymous with deep-dish pizza. As cheesesteaks are to Philly, Chicago's signature pie is a must-have for all tourists. But the real crime is that cities like Chicago, with a signature dish, often have their other incredible options vastly overlooked.

Jeremy Allen White's series, The Bear, changed that. Suddenly, people saw the city's infinite foodie potential that they hadn't necessarily considered before. And it is more than just the show raising awareness; the actor's regular presence and dining habits have also contributed.

In fact, one of the most underrated and delicious spots in the city was visited by White, and it is surprisingly affordable. In March 2024, White paid a visit to Birrieria Zaragoza in Archer Heights, a delicious taco joint that would draw regular crowds.

View this post on Instagram

It's really not your average taco spot—the simple space (hailed as one of the best in the city) focuses on truly authentic Mexican food. Owner and founder John (Juan) Zaragoza's passion for birria sent him on a quest back home to La Barca, Jalisco, Mexico, to learn how to make it authentically. He now runs the business from a small spot in Archer Heights with his wife and executive chef son.

Related: This Is Hands-Down the Best Pizza In NYC— And I Will Not Be Arguing With Anyone On It

The menu is simple, with fewer than 15 items, all modestly priced and homemade. Birria tacos are nothing like the ones you'd snag from Taco Bell. They are full of slow-braised, tenderized meat paired with a delicious dipping sauce that delivers a lot of flavor in just one bite. People rave about the goat birria, a signature dish at La Barca that has been perfected at this small Chicago restaurant. People often get it quesobirria-style with gooey, melty cheese to make it an even more savory delight. Others rave about the dessert flan, which many commenters note "tastes like home."

Sadly, the Archer Heights location is temporarily closed due to a fire, but their Broadway location in Uptown is still thriving.

Reviews on multiple social media platforms hail not just the food's taste, but the staff's commitment to excellence. White's visit is just a testament to its delicious, must-have food and welcoming atmosphere.

Don Cheadle Has a Private Nickname for the Obamas, and They Made Him Swear Not to Tell

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:09pm

Don Cheadle has logged more than 50 film credits, earned a Golden Globe, and spent years suiting up as War Machine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What he had never done, until this month, was walk out onto a Broadway stage.

That changed April 16, when Proof, David Auburn's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play, opened at the Booth Theatre with Cheadle making his Broadway debut opposite Ayo Edebiri, who is also appearing on Broadway for the first time. The production is directed by Thomas Kail (Hamilton) and co-produced by Barack and Michelle Obama through their company Higher Ground, marking the Obamas' own debut as Broadway producers.

Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week, Cheadle was loose and funny about what it's actually like to have two former presidents of the United States sitting in the audience watching you work.

He said he tries not to know when they're coming. 'I don't want to change anything,' he told Colbert. 'It's a very egalitarian space.' The Obamas apparently did not get the memo, they told him in advance. He handled it, but acknowledged there's an inherent weirdness to the situation.

There's also, it turns out, an inherent weirdness to whatever he calls them in private. Colbert asked directly. Cheadle confirmed he does have a name, or names, for them, but said he's not allowed to say what they are. 'That's part of the deal,' he said. The crowd loved it. (Colbert suggested 'Pooky and Stretch').

Related: The Obamas Announce They Are Heading to Broadway

Cheadle also admitted, with some pleasure, that he overacted during the first week when his family packed the house. 'I went big,' he said. He caught himself doing it and noted the impulse to stop, turn to his relatives in the crowd, and essentially say 'see? This is working out.'

Proofcenters on Catherine, a young woman who spent years caring for her father Robert, a brilliant but mentally ill mathematics professor. After his death, a notebook surfaces containing what may be a major mathematical proof, and the question of who actually wrote it drives the play. Cheadle plays Robert; Edebiri plays Catherine. The cast also includes two-time Tony winner Kara Young and Jin Ha.

The revival runs through July 19 at the Booth Theatre. For the Obamas' Higher Ground, which has won an Oscar, six Emmys, and two Grammys across film, television, and podcasting, it's the company's first venture into live theater.

Cheadle couldn't see the play during its original 2000 Broadway run. He was doing Topdog/Underdog at the Public Theatre at the time. Twenty-five years later, he's in it.

Lara Trump Talks Parenting in New Interview, ‘If You Want to Get Something Done, Give It to a Busy Mom'

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 12:05pm

She’s a member of the First Family (a.k.a. the daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump), the former co-chair of the RNC, a producer, and a political commentator. But that’s not even her toughest job. Lara Trump is also the mom to two children—son Eric Luke Trump (born 2017) and daughter Carolina Dorothy Trump (born 2019).

The mom-of-two recently opened up to conservative media personality Katie Miller on her self-titled podcast, talking about parenting, mom guilt, Donald Trump as a grandfather, and spending time with her husband (the President’s son, Eric Trump).

Lara Trump Shares Her Views On Work-Life Balance

It isn’t easy to work full-time and parent two children. And when you’re always in the public eye, like Lara, work-life balance takes on a whole new meaning.

Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law candidly discussed her views on the matter with Miller, saying, “I do love that we are being very honest with young women now, where we’re allowing them to prioritize not just a career but also a family. Because I think it is so important, and I think for both Eric and I, it’s been very important to continue to work on ourselves, to continue to work on our relationship, every single day. Anyone who tells you it is a walk in the park is lying to you.”

Trump (Lara, that is) went on to add, “It is total chaos…I feel like they say if you want to get something done, give it to a busy mom. We are the consummate and ultimate multitaskers. And so I’m trying to keep it all together. I mean, I’m trying when I’m home, I’m really home. I want to drop my kids off at school. I want to be there to pick them up. I literally arrange my schedule around that so I can be there for the important things.”

The busy working mom gave Miller an IRL example of how this all plays out in the Trump household: “Last night my son had a playoff baseball game. I was running around like a maniac, coming from one thing to another. But I was there. Eric was there. And you know, we try to make it work, but life is busy, but it’s a good time right now, I feel like to be doing all this stuff.”

Lara Trump Opens Up About Parenting and Spending Time With Husband Eric Trump

As any busy parent knows, it’s not always easy to find time for yourself or your partner. So how does Lara manage to fit it all in? She told Miller, “I feel like you’re always trying to balance spending time with the people who matter, like my parents, my family in North Carolina, my kids. But sometimes, whenever you’re going at such a rapid pace, you just have to say, you know, we can’t make it out to this dinner tonight.”

Even though she’s clearly always on the go, Trump notes, “I’m going to take time, and I think it’s especially important to take time for one another in a relationship as a couple…If we only have one day a week, that it will just be the two of us, we have to take that one day a week.” Lara continues, “It’s important, and it connects you, and you don’t get that time back.”

The Celebrity Parent Talks Mom Guilt

Every mom experiences some sense of guilt at one point or another. And Lara is no different, “Mom guilt is normal, and I think it’s a driver. Like, I booked a flight today that is probably cutting it very close, but I was like, I’m going to get back so I can see my kids before they go to bed tonight. Um, so the mom guilt keeps you moving. Keeps you hustling. “

What is Donald Trump Like as a Grandfather?

Now for the million-dollar question: What is President Donald J. Trump really like as a grandpa to Lara and Eric’s two children?

Speaking on the subject of grandparents, Lara had this to say, “This is such a grandparent thing. They kind of get them hyped up, and then they give them back to you. And I feel like my parents do it. And my father-in-law is no different. And that comes by way of candy or ice cream.”

And if you want to know whether Donald Trump spoiled his grandchildren, Lara says, “They’re always like, 'Can we go hang out with grandpa?’ Because he gives them ice cream. Because he’s got a candy bowl in his office.”

Of course, Lara’s children don’t have the typical grandpa. If you’re wondering how they view their father’s father, she explains, “I see my son being a little starstruck with him sometimes, and he’s like, 'Wait a minute, Grandpa’s the President. That’s really cool.’ And I think before he was just grandpa, which I love so much. But it’s really cool to see my kids make these connections and be old enough to appreciate who he is in this time. … Who gets to say that their grandfather is President of the United States?”

'Devil Wears Prada 2' Director Reveals Why Adrian Grenier Doesn't Appear in the Sequel

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 11:18am

TheDevil Wears Prada introduced fans to Anne Hathaway's on-screen boyfriend, Nate, played by Adrian Grenier, who has since become a red flag among fans. With the sequel installment ready to hit theaters, director David Frankel reveals why the character ended up not making it into the film.

Grenier's return as Nate has been addressed since The Devil Wears Prada 2 was announced, with Entertainment Weekly having reported the actor would not return to his original role. Since then, the actor had commented that he was "disappointed" about being left out, and admits his character has since become controversial.

Is there more to the story? Frankel revealed in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly that they had thought to bring back Grenier in a cameo role, but it simply didn't work. He added that the movie's filming schedule added some difficulties as it was still in production a month before its release date.

"I had an idea about sneaking him into a cameo, and, in the end, it was just too late in our production schedule to make it happen," he explained.

When asked what the cameo would have been about, Frankel added, "No, I probably shouldn’t say. But, I think I’m thrilled that he did a Starbucks commercial, which was really funny and so self-effacing."

The Starbucks commercial being referenced was released in early April, with Grenier making fun of his original character and addressing his absence from the sequel. In the ad, he jokingly says that he is "good. Really" about not returning. He also poked fun at Nate becoming an infamous relationship red flag, with him commenting, "Okay, so, he wasn't perfect. So, let's leave Nate in 2006 and keep this good energy going!"

Many Devil Wears Prada fans felt that Nate was unsupportive of Andy's newfound career in fashion and judged her lifestyle choices to appease Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). In the film, they break up because of it, with the finale teasing that they might have reconciled after Andy leaves the fashion industry.

Based on the trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2, Nate is a romance of the past as Andy returns to help Miranda and has a new love interest played by Patrick Brammall.
