Southwest's Birthday Sale Is Your Sign To Finally Take That Trip— But There's a Catch

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 9:48pm

Dreaming of a summer getaway but a little tight on cash? Treat yo' self to a summer or fall getaway. Southwest is offering flights for $55 to celebrate 55 years of service. The deal runs for two days only and applies to eligible one-way or round-trip fares.

The deal, which is only live now through June 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT, according to the small print on Southwest's website, gives travelers access to many choices for last-minute travel. So if you're considering a spur-of-the-moment summer or fall vacay, this deal is one you should look into, because we're saying yes to jet-set joymaxxing this year.

View this post on Instagram

The stipulations to keep in mind, according to the details on the airline's birthday page, include the requirement to book at least 21 days in advance of your chosen adventure. Additionally, U.S. continental destination flights to Hawaii and Puerto Rico have their own terms. And yes, the special pretty much applies only to Southwest basic fares, so more likely than not, you'll have to pay for those checked bags.

There is wiggle room for perks, as Rapid Rewards members can use their points for eligible promotions. So if you're a part of the airline's loyalty program and have a chunk saved up, it is definitely a good time to use them. According to UpgradedPoints.com, that will break down to "...around 1.1 to 1.5 cents per point from your Rapid Rewards points," and the example given is that a booking from Las Vegas to San Francisco would equate to "3,500 points." That still sounds good to us. We might be looking up to see what we have in our allotment and hop on a plane ourselves. Bookings must be made directly through Southwest's website, not through third-party vendors, so keep that in mind.

What are the best destinations on Southwest's special?

There are plenty of great options to plan those weekend getaways, catch a concert in another city, or finally hang out with your long-distance bestie. Some of the $55 one-way destinations to consider clicking "buy" on are Sacramento to San Diego, Phoenix to Las Vegas, San Diego to Las Vegas, San Jose to San Diego, and Houston Hobby to Las Vegas.

It's a no-brainer that travelers from Texas, California, and Arizona have such a sweet deal to get over to Vegas. Especially since there are so many great shows there this summer. And with the Backstreet Boys concluding their Sphere residency with a summer victory lap, there's not been a better time to get over to Sin City to live larger than life.

There are so many long weekend-worthy escapes just waiting to be booked. It is also worth noting that the promotion covers travel from July 7 through December 16 of this year. To get the best bang for your buck, you'll find the lowest fares on many Sunday through Wednesday departures. But be aware that during Thanksgiving week, specifically from November 24 through the 25, the promotion is blacked out.

TSA Issues Warning About ‘Security Disturbances’ to Travelers: ‘Please Avoid’

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 9:47pm

As one of the host countries for the 2026 World Cup, the United States is currently going viral on social media as international travelers descend to attend the soccer tournament. But it’s not the United States national team, the host stadiums, or even the cities where the games are taking place that are going viral: it’s the food.

TikTok is ablaze with videos of visitors, particularly Europeans, who are in awe of American cuisine, posting videos of themselves marveling at everything from the lengthy menu offerings at The Cheesecake Factory to fast food chains not available in their countries, like Raising Cane’s.

And while we understand why the flavor bombs and larger-than-life portion sizes at American restaurants can be the stuff of dreams (we even did a breakdown of which item gets you the best bang for your buck in the Applebee’s $15.99 all-you-can-eat menu), the American food that’s getting the most attention is actually a condiment: ranch dressing. In fact, it’s getting so much traction online that a federal agency is chiming in on it all.

@kristenvannest

A Swedish woman came to America for the World Cup, tried ranch dressing for the first time in Indiana, and posted “Why did no one tell me ranch sauce is like crack? EUROPE WE NEED RANCH ASAP.” She also couldn’t understand why there’s no official recipe and why every restaurant’s version tastes different. She is correct. There is no canonical ranch. It’s just vibes and buttermilk and regional lawlessness and somehow it always works. Americans have been putting ranch on everything since 1954 and treating it like a completely normal condiment that requires no explanation. A Swedish football fan just arrived and immediately clocked it as a controlled substance that Europe has been denied access to for 70 years. She’s not wrong. Ranch dressing has no business being that good. It is a dipping sauce made of herbs and dairy that somehow pairs with pizza, wings, vegetables, chips, and apparently the existential experience of visiting America for the first time. It is the most American condiment in existence — beloved, chaotic, deeply regional, and completely unregulated. Welcome to the United States, Elsa. The ranch is free with your order. There are no rules. If you like how my brain works on here, you’ll love my new thriller. Comment STORM for the first chapters free 🌊

The TSA took to Instagram to issue a reminder to tourists who may be tempted to load up their luggage with ranch, posting a series of slides on the social media platform jokingly sharing that any liquids, including ranch, need to be placed in checked bags if you plan on bringing more than 3.4 ounces of the stuff on a flight.

“Please avoid chugging your ranch outside security,” one of the slides said, as multiple sauce and salad dressing brand accounts flooded the comments. “I approve this message,” said the Hidden Valley page, while the Marzetti account wrote, “Apparently ‘essential travel item’ is open to interpretation.” Meanwhile, Primal Kitchen apologized for the trouble, stating “sorry to have caused security disturbances.”

Jokes aside, one commenter offered an easy solution for travelers who wish to continue their ranch journeys in their home countries: “Powdered ranch packets people!!!! Add to sour cream and it’s better than the bottled stuff.”

1969 Beatles Classic Is the Band's Only Song With Over a Billion Streams—And It's Probably Not What You Think

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 9:35pm

You might think that a band's most streamed songs on Spotify would also be their biggest hits...but that's actually not always the case. Take the Beatles, for example. Considering the iconic band had a whopping 20 tunes go all the way to #1 on the charts (and 34 Top 10 hits), it would make sense if the only Beatles song on Spotify to have over a billion streams would be among those chart-toppers. As it turns out, however, the Fab Four's most streamed song never even made a showing on the Billboard Hot 100.

George Harrison's Abbey Road (1969) masterpiece, "Here Comes the Sun," currently has 1,843,025,190 streams on Spotify, more than any other Beatles song; in second place is "Let It Be" with 957,259,543, while "Come Together" is in third place with 965,933,617. But while "Come Together" and "Let It Be" were both released as singles, from Abbey Road and Let It Be, respectively, "Here Comes the Sun" was not.

Interestingly enough, the band's fourth and fifth most streamed songs weren't among their many #1 or Top 10 hits, either, as neither "Blackbird" (694,091,599 streams) nor "In My Life" (626,203,305 streams) were released as singles.

As the numbers prove, a song can become a classic without ever spending any time on the charts. But considering how beloved "Here Comes the Sun" has always been, why wasn't it released as a single in the first place?

In a 1969 interview which aired on BBC Radio One, journalist David Wigg praised Harrison for writing "two of the most beautiful songs on Abbey Road" ("Here Comes the Sun" and "Something"), which had recently been released.

"We've been so used to Lennon/McCartney compositions and of course people have been commenting this week about 'Something' and 'Here Comes the Sun,' which are your own compositions. How did this all happen? It's so unusual for you to contribute so much to an LP," Wigg said.

Harrison gently corrected Wigg, saying, "Well, not really."

"I mean, the last album we did had four songs of mine on it," he explained. "I thought they were alright. So I thought these, 'Something' and 'Here Comes The Sun' was ok...maybe a bit more commercial but as songs not much better than the songs on the last album. But I've been writing for a couple of years now. And there's been lots of songs I've written which I haven't got 'round to recording. So, you know, in my own mind I don't see what the fuss is, because I've heard these songs before and I wrote them, you know quite a while back. And it's really nice that people like the songs, but..."

George Harrison

Photo by Keystone on Getty Images

Wigg went on to ask whether Harrison considered himself a "late developer as a songwriter."

"The only reason I started to write songs was because I thought, well if [John Lennon and Paul McCartney] can write them, I can write them," Harrison replied.

"You know, 'cuz really, everybody can write songs if they want to," he continued. "If they have a desire to and if they have sort of some musical knowledge and background. And then it's by writing them the same as writing books or writing articles or painting...the more you do it, the better or the more you can understand how to do it. And I used to just write songs. I still do. I just write a song and it just comes out however it wants to. And some of them are catchy songs like 'Here Comes The Sun' and some of them aren't, you know. But to me there's just songs and I just write them and some will be considered as good by maybe the masses and some won't. But to me they're just songs, things that are there that have to be got out."

Over half a century later, the masses are clearly still listening to "Here Comes the Sun."

This Sandwich Chain Just Ended Chick-fil-A's 11-Year Reign as America's Favorite

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 9:25pm

After more than a decade at the top, Chick-fil-A is no longer America's favorite quick-service restaurant.

According to the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) Restaurant and Food Delivery Study, Jersey Mike's claimed the top spot this year with a score of 84 out of 100, edging out Chick-fil-A, which scored an 83.

The report called the result historic, declaring: "For the first time in over a decade, there is a new leader among QSRs."

The annual study surveyed more than 16,000 consumers between April 2025 and March 2026, measuring satisfaction across factors like food quality, service, convenience and value.

Jersey Mike's Rises to the Top

Jersey Mike's is a newcomer to the ACSI rankings, which makes its debut at number one even more notable.

The report described the sandwich chain as "a new leader among QSRs" and pointed to its strong business performance, growing customer demand and convenient ordering options.

"Jersey Mike's ACSI success is consistent with their business performance, including rapid unit growth, strong customer demand, and a model designed around throughput and off-premise convenience from high digital pickup usage," the study noted.

Founded in New Jersey in 1956, Jersey Mike's has grown to more than 4,000 locations across the U.S. and Canada. The chain is known for its made-to-order subs and its signature "Mike's Way" style, which tops sandwiches with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, olive oil blend, red wine vinegar and spices.

Meanwhile, Chick-fil-A remains one of the country's most beloved restaurant brands. Although it lost the top overall ranking, the ACSI noted that the chain "is still the clear leader for chicken."

Jimmy John's and Panda Express tied for third place with scores of 81, while KFC, Papa Johns and Pizza Hut followed closely behind with scores of 80.

Why America Loves Jersey Mike's

According to the ACSI report, higher satisfaction often comes down to consistency and perceived freshness. Jersey Mike's stands out for slicing meats and cheeses to order right in front of customers, which gives it a made-fresh feel that many competitors don't offer.

Part of what makes Jersey Mike's so popular is how customizable the menu is. Fans regularly build off-menu combinations and viral variations that circulate on social media. Some of the most talked-about orders include loaded Italian subs made "Mike's Way" with added hot cherry pepper relish, turkey and provolone upgraded with bacon and pickles, and heavier cheesesteak-style mashups with chipotle mayo and peppers.

My order? I thought you'd never ask. When I'm at Jersey Mike's, I order the turkey and provolone sandwich on rosemary parmesan bread, made Mike's Way, with pepper relish added. It may be basic, but it always hits.

Trendy New Launches for Any Type of Dad

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 9:15pm

Father's Day is less than a week away, and if you're feeling stuck on what to get your favorite guys to express how much you appreciate them on the special holiday—or just want to do something different—there are a few unique items you may not have considered.

Sure, there are always the typical gift cards, golf gear, mugs, polo shirts, and neckties, but to step it up a notch this year, why not consider some new launches trending among shoppers with diverse interests? Not all dads are the same (even if they do have similar tendencies).

First, a bit of history: The special occasion only became an officially recognized holiday in 1972, when President Richard Nixon signed a presidential resolution that declared the third Sunday in June Father's Day. In 2026, it falls on June 21. Its roots, however, date back much further than just 54 years.

William Jackson Smart of Spokane, Wash., is widely regarded as the inspiration for modern-day Father’s Day. Smart was a widower and Civil War veteran who raised and cared for his six children for 21 years after the death of his wife. Smart’s daughter, Sonora Louise, got the idea for a day to celebrate fathers in 1909, while listening to a Mother’s Day sermon at church, according to Hallmark. "She encouraged local churches to institute a Father’s Day observance the following year (1910) on one Sunday in June, the month of her father’s birth. Through her efforts, interest in the celebration of Father’s Day grew and spread to other cities and states."

Fast forward to the present, modern dads have a well-deserved day of their own—so make him feel loved by springing for something special.

Don't Miss the 'Sexy' Voiced 'AGT' Golden Buzzer Winner Who's Also an Army Sergeant

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 9:01pm

America’s Got Talent attracts auditioners from all tracks of life and on tonight’s episode, it was 23-year-old Isaac Atkins from Lewiston, ME, who took leave from his posting in Honolulu as a sergeant in the United States Army to sing for judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara.

“I’ve jumped out of a plane at 1800 feet, and this is scarier than that,” Isaac confided in another contestant backstage at America’s Got Talent.

Once he took the stage, he was questioned by Mel B, and she kept him talking because she loved his voice.

“I am a sergeant in the United States Army. I am on leave right now. I took a few days off to come here. I have been in the Army for six years,” he told her.”

Then Simon asked, “Why did you decide to come on the show this year?”

“I sing in my car,” Isaac answered. “That’s basically my thing. I sing in my car, and I started posting about a year and a half ago. It started making its way around. My soldiers started seeing it and I’d come to work, and they’d be like, ‘I saw your TikTok. You sing this song.’  I’d be, ‘That’s not me, I don’t know what you’re talking about.’  They are actually the ones who urged me to come here and sing. I am really happy to be here.”

Then Mel B asked, “How long has singing been a passion of yours?”

And Isaac responded, “As long as I can remember. I grew up singing. My dad put me onto the oldies, Motown, all the greats like Sam Cooke, so I grew up singing in the car with my dad and my brother. It’s one of those things that has been my dream.”

Then Isaac performed Måneskin’s “Beggin’” and Mel B jumped to her feet as did the audience when he finished, and she said, “Isaac, let me tell you. You can sing.”

Sofia added, “What a voice. What a sexy voice you have.”

Then Mel B said, “Before anybody else can do this, I’m going to do this.” And she hit the Golden Buzzer, following which she went up on stage and hugged Isaac telling him, “You’ve got heart and that voice! My God!” Then she left the stage, saying, “Enjoy this moment. It’s all yours.” Then to the audience, she added, “Now that’s how you give a Golden Buzzer. You don’t wait for anybody.”

Meanwhile, Isaac picked some of the confetti off the stage as a souvenir of his Golden Buzzer as Simon asked, “How does that feel?”

Isaac said, “That feels amazing.”

Jelly Roll Shares First Post Since Filing for Divorce From Bunnie Xo

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 8:44pm

Hours after news broke that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo, the singer shared an emotional post.

Jelly returned to Instagram on Tuesday, June 16, with a post about one of the causes closest to his heart—helping others rewrite their stories.

In the emotional Reel, Jelly Roll shared footage from a recent concert where he recognized a familiar face in the crowd. "This is a cool story," he told the audience. "I've seen this young man. I went and spoke at a juvenile facility he was at. He was incarcerated."

The “Wind Ones” singer explained that he had met the fan years earlier. Now, he was standing in the front row at one of Jelly Roll's shows. "It looks like you're doing absolutely great, brother. It looks like you completely turned your life around."

After inviting the fan onstage for a hug, Jelly Roll addressed the crowd once more. "He's almost off house arrest. He's home doing good. Love you, brother. So happy for you." He then ended the moment with a laugh, telling him, "Now get out of here before you go to jail."

The country hitmaker explained the significance of the interaction in the caption. "I think this is the first time this has happened in my career," he wrote. "Every time I go and speak at a Juvenile or a Jail/Prison, the dream is to be able to see those people outside that building living good and fruitful lives." He continued, "I'm so honored to be able to do this for a living, I LOVE YALL."

The post marked Jelly's first since reports emerged that he and Bunnie had decided to end their marriage. According to TMZ, the singer filed for divorce in Tennessee in May, with sources describing the split as a "mutual decision" and "a private family matter."

And the split was the only thing on fans' minds, as made evident by the comments.

“I like how they both are posting....just not what we wanna know about,” one quipped.

A second shared, “I know it’s not our business.. but they both are posting like nothing has happened and I wanna know what happened!!!”

“And deleting her name from your bio… just made it real,” a third pointed out, noting the subtle change to the three-time Grammy winner’s profile.

The pair first met in 2015 and tied the knot in August 2016 before renewing their vows in 2023. Although they did not share biological children together, the couple had previously spoken about their IVF journey. Jelly Roll is also father to two children, Bailee Ann and Noah Buddy, from previous relationships.

’70s-Inspired Thriller With Near-Perfect Rotten Tomatoes Score Releases Massive Nostalgic Playlist

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 8:41pm

Every series has a hook episode — a specific episode in its first season that causes a viewer to stop just trying it on for size and officially becomes a fan. For some shows, it comes sooner rather than later (Dawson’s Creek S1,E1), and for others, the hook episode might also be the season one finale (The Good Place S1,E13).

For Widow’s Bay, every episode is a hook episode. Seriously. Each episode of this mystery-comedy hybrid, deeply rooted in 1970s and 1980shorrornostalgia, is a tautly crafted gem, flawless in its blend of belly laughs and jump scares, Stephen King-inspired dread and Parks and Recreation-style humor. It’s genius, and its near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes scoreproves it. But if we had to really home in on a hook episode, it would have to be Episode 4, “Beach Reads.”

Allow us to set the scene: Town hall assistant Patricia, played brilliantly by Kate O’Flynn, decides to throw the “perfect” glamorous cocktail party to win over the island’s resident mean girls, who detest her and doubt her traumatic past. This means inviting the perfect crowd, serving the perfect punch, and, of course, curating the perfect playlist. Without giving anything away, Patricia’s night of “Sunset Cocktails” takes a turn for the demented.

With the series streaming its finale tonight, its parent platform, Apple TV, decided to have a little fun. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the streamer released a massive Apple Music playlist called “Patricia’s Sunset Cocktails Playlist,” named after Patricia’s “perfect” party naturally. And though the post says the list is 300 tracks long, it’s actually more like 811.

Such a great track. Here are 299 more. Patricia's Sunset Cocktails Playlist is now available on @AppleMusic: https://t.co/epyosHP7fA https://t.co/fG09lvLwGb pic.twitter.com/vxpWe6TVYY

From ’70s and ’80s throwback hits, including "Forget Me Nots" by Patrice Rushen, "Dancing Queen" by ABBA, "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire, "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen, and "IWanna Dance with Somebody" by Whitney Houston, to ’90s and ’2000s pop anthems, like "...Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears, "Wannabe" by Spice Girls, "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers, "Hips Don't Lie" by Shakira feat. Wyclef Jean, and "Yeah!" by Usher feat. Lil Jon & Ludacris, every genre and subgenre is accounted for.

With more than 800 songs and 60 hours of music, it might just be the longest cocktail party you’ll never actually attend. And in this case, that might be for the best.

Widow’s Bay is available to stream on Apple TV.

’80s Rock Classic Is Suddenly Climbing the Charts 38 Years After No. 1 Hit

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 8:37pm

Nearly 38 years after its release, the iconic Guns N' Roses single "Sweet Child O' Mine" is charting again on the Billboard Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart.

The song, which was released as the third single from the band's landmark debut album Appetite for Destruction in June 1988, is currently sitting at the No. 8 spot on the rock chart. The Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart tracks the ongoing streaming success of all songs within the genre. "Sweet Child O' Mine" is one of the oldest tracks to reside in the upper levels of the tally, attesting to its ability to withstand the test of time as an enduring hit.

"Sweet Child O' Mine" has enjoyed an incredible 315-week stay on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart, adding to its extensive Billboard resume. In total, the track has claimed the No. 1 spot on both the Hot 100 chart and the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, while also securing a top-ten residency on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart—marking Guns N' Roses' most successful charting hit.

Film & Social Media Resurgences

One of the primary driving factors behind the song's resurgence has been its high-profile film features. Since its initial release, "Sweet Child O' Mine" has appeared in several massive Hollywood projects. Its most recent notable placements include Prime Video's 2023 original series The Summer I Turned Pretty, which spiked the track to No. 1 on the Billboard Top TV Songs chart, and Marvel's 2022 film Thor: Love and Thunder, which originally launched the song to No. 1 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart.

Aside from its appearances in film and television, the track has also experienced major traction across social media platforms. TikTok specifically has become one of the music industry's largest deciding factors when determining what is popular. On the platform, over 2.9 million user-generated videos have been made using "Sweet Child O' Mine"—proving its reverence among younger audiences.

Its lasting relevance is demonstrated by its dominating presence on streaming platforms, successfully bridging the gap between the physical media age and the digital era. On Spotify alone, "Sweet Child O' Mine" has garnered over 2.7 billion streams—attesting to its status as one of the most defining songs in hard rock history.

IKEA Just Dropped a $25 Home Decor Find That's Giving Peak English Countryside Energy

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 8:25pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Sometimes the smallest home upgrades make the biggest impact. A new throw pillow can change the mood of a room. A fresh vase can brighten up a shelf. And now IKEA has a new affordable home decor find that instantly adds charm before guests even step inside your home.

IKEA recently released a playful new piece that's equal parts practical and adorable. It feels like something you would spot at a quaint country cottage or a cozy farmhouse tucked into the rolling hills of England. And at just $25, it's an easy way to give your entryway a seasonal refresh.

The item is IKEA's new LÖGE doormat, a cheerful design featuring sheep grazing peacefully in a green meadow. The moment I saw it, I immediately thought of the English countryside with its rolling fields, cozy cottages and postcard-worthy landscapes.

There's something undeniably charming about this piece. It somehow feels nostalgic and comforting without being overly cutesy. This IKEA find is an easy way to add personality to an entryway while still looking tasteful.

I also appreciate that it serves a practical purpose. The IKEA doormat is made from coir, a durable natural fiber derived from coconut husks, commonly used for doormats because it withstands heavy foot traffic. It helps scrape dirt, grass and other debris off shoes before they make their way inside.

Summer is actually one of my favorite times to swap out a doormat. It's an affordable way to change the look of a front porch or entryway without committing to a major decorating project. A seasonal mat instantly makes a home feel more welcoming and gives visitors a hint of your personality before they even knock on the door.

The LÖGE mat stands out because it leans into one of the biggest decor trends right now: cozy, storybook-inspired spaces that feel warm and lived in. English countryside style has become increasingly popular thanks to its mix of natural elements, soft colors and charming details.

If your porch currently feels a little plain, this IKEA decor find is an easy fix. Pair it with potted flowers, a wicker chair or a simple lantern, and you've created a welcoming entryway with very little effort.

Not every home purchase needs to be serious. Sometimes it's okay to buy something simply because it makes you smile. And honestly, it's hard not to smile when you're greeted by a flock of sheep every time you come home.

'90s Alternative Rock Band Asks For Prayers as Beloved Bassist Suffers Stroke

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 8:19pm

Sixpence None the Richer is asking fans for support as one of their longtime band members recently suffered a serious medical emergency.

Justin Cary, the beloved bassist for the '90s alternative rock band, suffered a stroke on Thursday, June 11, and is currently hospitalized in the ICU. The band's lead singer Leigh Nash delivered the news to fans via social media on Tuesday, June 16, while sharing a heartfelt post to express how much Cary means to the group.

Uploading a photo montage to Instagram on Tuesday, Nash wrote, "Our brother of 30 years (and bassist), Justin had a stroke Thursday night. His wonderful wife Linda has kept us updated everyday and night too. She is lovely, delicate and unfathomably heartbroken."

"We love our brother so so much. Words don’t cover it," the emotional post continued. "I know so many out there love him too. Saw his brilliance, second to NONE professionalism, class, humor (oh my lord the humor) wit, tough as an old boot as they say. Many more adjectives to describe him."

View this post on Instagram

"Please pray for Justin and Linda. @bakerbassplayer" Nash added, while sharing a GoFundMe link for anyone who "feels led to help Linda navigate the waters ahead."

Cary has been with the band since 1997 when he replaced the group's former bassist, J.J. Plasencio, joining the group just before they released their self-titled breakthrough album containing their hit single, "Kiss Me."

According to the GoFundMe page in Cary's honor, the musician is currently receiving "wonderful care" in the ICU at Albany Medical Center after undergoing two surgeries.

"The road ahead is uncertain and scary so if you are so inclined to pray, send good vibes and healing energy it would be truly appreciated," the fundraiser page states. "We wanted to put together a fundraiser to help them during this time and show them love and support."

Did Donald Trump Jr. Just Quietly Shade Joe Biden—With a Picture of His Kids?

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 8:08pm

While everyone was busy talking about the Josh Hokit and Michelle Obama UFC Freedom 250 incident, no one seemed to notice Donald Trump Jr. slyly shade former PresidentJoe Biden. That is, other than a few eagle-eyed social media users.

On Saturday, President Donald Trump’s eldest son posted a series of family photos on Instagram. While he stacked the carousel with playful pics featuring four of his five kiddos (and new wife Bettina Trump) enjoying the pre-fight festivities, Don Jr. also quietly slipped in a dig against the former POTUS.

The post starts with a sweet snapshot of the whole gang in front of “the Claw.” If you move on to the next pic, you’ll see Trump Jr.’s two youngest children (13-year-old Spencer and 12-year-old Chloe) at the White House, smiling in front of an ornate framed photo and two bronze plaques. Nothing major to see here, right? Wrong.

View this post on Instagram

Even though on the surface it looks like any other pic a parent might snap of their kids, this one has a special meaning. Zoom in, and you’ll see that they’re standing with their grandfather’s famous “Presidential Walk of Fame” Joe Biden autopen picture and plaques.

Most of the comments on Trump Jr.’s post applauded the current First Family, and one even said, “Love this portrait of Biden's autopen.” But others had a very different view.

Other commenters added, “So rude and disrespectful to President Joe Biden,” and, “Joe Biden was not the worst POTUS in American history, and your father is foolish to believe it.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Trump’s son has thrown shade at the Bidens—or vice versa. Back in April, Hunter Biden announced that YouTuber Andrew Callaghan wanted to set up a cage match between the two families, posting on Instagram, “I think he’s trying to organize a cage match, me versus Eric and Don Jr. Um, I told him I’d do it. 100% in if he can pull it off.”

While a cage match did happen at the White House (UFC Freedom 250), it wasn't between the Bidens and the Trumps. Eric Trump and Don. Jr. did not accept Hunter’s invitation to duke it out in the ring. Of course, that hasn't stopped the war of words or, in this case, social media shade.

Did 'Summer House: The Aftermath' Just Hard Launch Amanda Batula's Redemption Arc? Some Fans Say 'Too Late'

Tue, 06/16/2026 - 7:59pm

Did Amanda Batula mistake friendship for love with West Wilson? Based on her conversation with Lindsay Hubbard on Summer House: The Aftermath, it seems West may have some explaining to do if he hopes to maintain a long-term relationship with Amanda.

However, with reports surfacing that West will not return for Summer House Season 11, the discussion takes on a different meaning. Could the conversation have been designed to help pave the way for Amanda's future on the show?

The episode featured several notable conversations, but Amanda and Lindsay's stood out as the most significant. More than revisiting Amanda's relationship with West, it appeared to reestablish Amanda's place within the group's core dynamics—potentially positioning her for a continuing role moving forward.

Some of the most powerful moments came when Lindsay pointed out that West had been telling the group Amanda was the one who pursued him, while her understanding was that the opposite was true. Amanda ultimately admitted that after spending years in an unhappy marriage, her friendship with West made her feel young again.

View this post on Instagram

"He brought out a side of me that I never thought I'd see again," she said. "This person who wanted to have fun ... loved life again."

Amanda went on to explain that she no longer felt lost and alone, making it difficult to think "rationally or logically" while the affair was unfolding. She also acknowledged that she wasn't considering how her actions would affect her former close friend, Ciara Miller, because she was overwhelmed by the feeling that someone cared about her again.

Meanwhile, West had his own sit-down with Amanda's estranged husband, Kyle Cooke. While West admitted that he loved Amanda, he was far less definitive about their future, instead focusing on his deception of Meija Moreno. Meija believed she and West were in an exclusive relationship, and she and West even hooked up while he was dating Amanda—a fact Amanda herself acknowledged during her conversation with Lindsay.

Meija also sat down with Ciara, revealing that she remains in contact with West, suggesting she may not be fully ready to walk away from their relationship.

So where does that leave the cast? With West seemingly out of the picture, fan reaction appears mixed. While some viewers are ready to forgive Amanda, others have made it clear they'd prefer Summer House move forward without either half of the controversial romance.

View this post on Instagram

Even before The Aftermath aired, discussion about a possible Amanda redemption arc was already underway after Lindsay shared on Threads that she believed Amanda had been manipulated by West. The response was varied.

"Amanda possibly returning to TV doesn’t mean she’s getting a 'redemption' season. It’s kinda odd to see longtime Bravo viewers (and people who cover Bravo and have seen a sizable increase in engagement since Scamanda) actively root against conflict and continuing a storyline that’s killing in the ratings," one fan wrote on Threads.

Others weren't buying the idea at all.

"Is this the beginning of the Amanda redemption arc no one wants? She's a full blown adult that purposely bread crumbed the world, that's not someone being manipulated," another commenter wrote.

Some fans also pointed to what happened on Vanderpump Rules after the fallout from the Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix scandal. Once the entire cast reunited for another season, many cast members no longer wanted to film together, and viewers felt the show's chemistry suffered as a result.

"We are BEGGING you — please learn from VPR’s mistake and do not try to force an Amanda redemption arc on us!! For 10 years we’ve watched you all actually be friends and have fun. That is a Bravo unicorn! Amanda blew that up just as much as West did — and the reunion was her chance to show remorse. She had ZERO. Summer should be fun. Amanda… not fun. West AND Amanda. Door. Bye," one person wrote.

If The Aftermath was intended to help rehabilitate Amanda's image ahead of Season 11, the jury is still out on whether it worked.
