Oreo Unveils Brand-New Treat Shape—And Fans Say 'I'll Take 12'

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 4:32pm

We may be in the thick of summer, but Oreo already has Halloween on the brain.

Oreo is giving fans a spooky new reason to celebrate the Halloween season early, releasing a festive new treat unlike its usual classic round design.

The iconic cookie brand is rolling out a new ghost-shaped snack, transforming the familiar Oreo experience into one that brings a playful Halloween twist to the beloved sandwich cookie.

In the past, Oreo has simply stamped seasonal designs onto its cookies, including a ghost or pumpkin, but for the upcoming fall season, it's taking the festive theme one step further with an actual ghost-shaped candy silhouette.

The exterior will boast a dark chocolate shell, with a cute and smiley ghost face, while the inside will be filled with OREO cookie pieces and creme, according to social media influencer Markie_Devo.

“Dark chocolate and OREO cookies & creme!! Count me in!🧛🏼‍♂️👻🍪🍫” the post about the “New Frankford Candy OREO Cookies & Crème Ghosts” read.

The influencer noted that the boo-tastic treat is heading to stores that carry Frankford Candy, including Walmart, very soon.

Oreo fans were eager to try these in the comments, with one writing, “Spooky and delicious 👻” as others chimed in, “They are so cute 😭❤️” and “Dark chocolate?! Sold 🍫👻.”

“Finally, something new with dark chocolate. I wish all chocolate candy came in dark chocolate,” another dark chocolate connoisseur expressed.

“I'll take 12, please 😍👻😋” someone else quipped.

And while others were thrilled and eager to “eat a whole bag,” stating, “these are a must,” they made it clear that waiting till fall is essential.

“Yum! But no ghosties until September.. at least lol,” one wrote, as another added, “Halloween candy should be like school, not until after Labor Day.”

Halloween has become one of Oreo’s biggest seasons for limited-edition releases, with the brand adding festive flavors and colorful creme fillings, along with special designs.

In 2025, all the packs were glow-in-the-dark with green and orange creme filling and 5 different cookie designs like skulls, witch hats and haunted houses

And now, the combo of Oreo’s fan-favorite taste and the fun holiday shape is bound to make the candy one of the season’s most sought-after treats.

Lionel Messi Poses With World Cup Opponent in Resurfaced Baby Photo

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 4:31pm

Lionel Messi and the Argentina soccer team will face off against Spain on Sunday, July 19, to see who becomes the 2026 FIFA World Cup champion and amid the excitement, a resurfaced photo of the soccer great posing with a baby has caught the attention of fans — and for good reason.

In the sweet snap, a then 19-year-old Messi can be seen interacting with a baby, who just so happens to be Spain's Lamine Yamal. The photo — taken by Joan Monfort — was a part of a UNICEF fundraising photoshoot, the agency confirmed on social media on Thursday, July 16.

"Yes, those photos you’ve seen are real," UNICEF shared on X. "More than 18 years ago, a baby named Lamine Yamal and his mom Sheila met Lionel Messi at a UNICEF fundraising photoshoot."

The post continued: "Today, their achievements on the pitch inspire millions. Off the pitch, both Messi and Lamine Yamal use their voices and platforms as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors to support and advocate for children around the world. The goal? That every child survives, thrives, and fulfils their potential."

UNICEF went to share admiration for both of the distinguished players, writing, "We are proud to have them on our team."

Messi has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2010, and just last month, Yamal joined him as one himself.

"Some stories only get better with time," UNICEF shared in a post on Friday, July 17, referring to the now-viral picture.

The agency added: "This weekend, they'll face each other in the FIFA World Cup final, but when it comes to championing children's rights, they're on the same team. Watch the video and revisit the origins of this incredible image."

Monfort, meanwhile, told the Associated Press: "I have never been a believer or thought that anything was destined to occur, but I am beginning to have my doubts. This is beyond all reasonable explanations."

2004 Hit Film, Over 4 Hours Long, Was Just Named the 'Best Epic Thriller of All Time'

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 4:28pm

Some of the most popular films in the thriller genre feature stakes of epic proportions. On July 14, the publication Collider released a ranking of "the 10 best epic thrillers of all time," which included stress-inducing movies with big, cinematic moments.

The films on the list featured 2025's One Battle After Another, Zodiac, released in 2007, and 1991's JFK. Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, which has a runtime of four hours and 41 minutes, took home the list's top spot.

Collider referenced that the 2004 film was originally distributed as two separate movies, Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003) and Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004). While Kill Bill: Volume 1 received a score of 85 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and Kill Bill: Volume 2 got an 84 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating, Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair sits at the perfect score of 100 percent on the site.

Quentin Tarantino Shared That 'Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair' Could Have Been Longer

In a 2004 interview on the talk show Charlie Rose, hosted by journalist Charlie Rose, Tarantino discussed writing the script for Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair. He revealed that fans were almost treated to an even longer movie because he had so many ideas about The Bride (Uma Thurman) and the other Deadly Vipers.

"When I get my imagination started, it's just really hard to stop it. And in the case of both, I mean, there's all this stuff that I wrote for Kill Bill that I never even bothered typing it up. Because it already was big enough as it was. There's all these different avenues I could have gone down and stuff," said the filmmaker during the interview.

While speaking to Rose, Tarantino explained he purposefully used chapters to split up the film, which at the core is "a revenge movie." He said the use of chapters enabled him to explore different genres, varying from Kung Fu movies to Spaghetti Westerns, within the film, differentiating it from other revenge movies.

Martha Stewart’s Adorable Grandson, 14, Steals the Show During Heartwarming ‘Today’ Appearance Together

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 4:24pm

Martha Stewart's adorable grandson, Truman, officially stole the show alongside his grandmother on Today.

Stewart, 84, may be a legendary domestic goddess and entrepreneur, but she's also a proud grandma. During an appearance on Today on Friday morning, Truman, 14, a World Cup super fan, told Steve Kornacki and the rest of the Today squad that while he’s rooting for Spain, he thinks Argentina will score the win at the big final game on Sunday, July 19, at MetLife Stadium.

“Nothing ever really ends up how it goes based on how it looks on paper,” Truman schooled the group. “The game between Spain and Argentina is just going to be one of the best I think we’ve ever seen,” Truman said.

When Al Roker asked Truman if his grandmother has helped him make any hors d’oeuvres for the match, the teen admitted he's not too focused on food.

“I’ve been so focused on the games, I wouldn’t really have time for anything else,” he replied, laughing, Today reported. “And also I’m not a very good cook.”

Truman Dropped His World Cup Knowledge Last Month

Last month, Truman took to Stewart's Instagram account to drop some knowledge about the World Cup. Clearly, his grandmother was wowed by his knowledge, captioning the reel by saying, "My 14-year-old grandson, Truman, shares soccer information without any notes - it’s all in his head!"

Check out the adorable video of Truman below:

In a previous interview, Stewart made it clear she doesn't exactly go by "Nana" or "Granny."

"They've called me Martha since the day they were born," Stewart shared on the Nov. 30 episode of QVC+'s 50+ & Unfiltered podcast, E! reported. "And all their friends call me Martha. None of them call me Mrs. Stewart. I'm not a Mrs. Stewart."

But the grandkids aren't alone. Alexis Stewart, Martha's daughter, also calls her that.

"My daughter calls me Martha," Martha explained. "She's always called me Martha."

Emilia Clarke Said ‘No One Had a Good Time’ on the Set of This 2015 Action Sci-Fi Sequel

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 4:21pm

Do you remember 2015's Terminator Genisys, a reboot of the classic 1980s Arnie film? Many do not, and the cast wished they did.

In a 2018 interview with Vanity Fair, Emilia Clarke said that she watched director Alan Taylor, who frequently directed Game of Thrones, get “eaten and chewed up on Terminator. He was not the director I remembered. He didn’t have a good time. No one had a good time.”

The movie, which acted as an alternate timeline to the original Linda Hamilton films, has a 26% score on Rotten Tomatoes and only $89 million at the U.S. box office.  The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw called the action sch-fi a “cynical franchisebot, machine-tooled to clank into cinemas and gouge money out of people”.

The poor response and box-office performance killed any sequel talk, but the Ponies star admitted she was "relieved" that she didn't have to return to play an alternate version of Sarah Connor.

Director Alan Taylor, actors Jason Clarke, Arnold Schwarzenger, Jai Courtney, producers David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, actors Emila Clarke and Byung-hun Lee attend the premiere of Paramount Pictures' "Terminator Genisys" at Dolby Theatre on June 28, 2015 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Lester Cohen/WireImage)

Clarke plays a version of Sarah Connor in an altered timeline who is raised from a young age by a reprogrammed T-800 Terminator; she is already a skilled fighter when Kyle Reese arrives in 1984. Together with their Terminator, they battle a T-1000 and time-jump to 2017 to stop Skynet (rebranded as the OS "Genisys") from launching

The cast and crew hated making the franchise reboot, which co-starred Jason Clarke and Jai Courtney, so much that word spread to a nearby set. Clarke claimed that the crew of Josh Trank's 2015 Fantastic Four set responded to their own on-set trouble by wearing jackets that read, “At least we’re not on ‘Terminator.'”

Iconic Top-Charting '80s Rock Star Gets Political at Recent Concert with Reworked Lyrics

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 4:15pm

One of the most iconic songwriting voices of the 1980s is the legendary John Mellencamp, who set himself apart from the greater musical trends of the '80s by making his hits off of stripped back, classic American rock songs.

Following in a similar vain to the '70s output of Bruce Springsteen, Mellencamp wrote songs capturing the blue collar American experience. He saw massive chart success with hits like "Jack and Diane" and "Hurts So Good," which made him a unique star of the decade.

Nowadays, Mellencamp is still performing with his signature grit, delighting fans all around with his great live presence. At a recent concert of his, Mellencamp reworked the lyrics of one of his songs to feature some topical political messaging.

@joetria0

Mellencamp used the performance to call out ICE and sing about how you can't trust them. This falls in line with Mellencamp's style, which has always been about the common man against the establishment. In similar shades to Springsteen, his musical style is adapting to the times.

Aside from the political rework, Mellencamp was also shocking everyone with how good he's still sounding. he's able to hold a stage very well and his voice is carrying its special grit, heightened by the older man that is taking the stage as opposed to his youth.

Fans are loving the current Mellencamp, taking to the comments to share their thoughts and praise of the concert.

"At 74 he’s sounding great and moving well. I hope he gets to do this as long as he wants!"

"I’m so glad he’s going out on his shield, singing most of the hits that for most he hasn’t performed live in 2 decades or longer! Great for the fans!!"

"Love me some Mellencamp!!"

Mellencamp is aging like fine wine, and his concerts are still a rocking time.

Billy Zane Reveals New Details on the Bizarre 'Titanic' Set Poisoning That Left Dozens Hallucinating

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 4:14pm

There are only three films in history that have won 11 Oscars, and one of them, many will argue, is one of the greatest films ever made. Practically overnight, Titanic propelled Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet into a level of celebrity that is difficult to fathom. It also proved that James Cameron, who was best known for films like Terminator and Aliens, was capable of anything.

While the final product was a beautiful, riveting film deserving of all its accolades and praise, many actors and crew said that production was a nightmare. The film had gone way over budget, and at the time, was the most expensive movie ever made. Winslet complained that she chipped the bone in her elbow, got hypothermia, and, at one point, almost drowned. But one of the most infamous occurrences was when someone spiked the catering with PCP. Billy Zane wasn't on set at the time, but confirmed that it did happen.

The Day Someone Spiked the Chowder

"This took place in the modern-day portion of the filming," he told the Lawrence brothers on their Brotherly Love podcast. "Fortunately, Gloria [Stewart] did not have the gumbo or the porridge or whatever the soup was. I can't remember if it was oatmeal or some clam chowder"

"Those who were fortunate enough to have recognized the early stages of coming onto a hallucinogen were like, 'Okay, we're going to ride this one out,'" he continued. "Those who didn't were terrified. So I heard."

Crew Members Remember the Chaos

Several crew members vividly remembered the events of that day.

"We had a room for the grips and electricians, and one of the guys started talking really hyper," Jake Clarke told Vulture. "He’s a big guy, like 6’4", and he says, ‘Do you guys feel okay? Because I don’t. I feel like I’m on something, and believe me, I would know.’ He was just chattering on like that."

“And just as he was saying this, we saw James Cameron run by the door and this extra running behind him. He said, ‘There’s something in me! Get it out!’” Clarke added.

To differentiate between those who were high and those who weren't, signs were created. "Bad Crew" meant you were affected, "Good Crew" meant you weren't.

Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio Weren't On Set

While Winslet and DiCaprio weren't on set that day, Bill Paxton was and was among those who ate the chowder.

Bill Paxton was a real sweetie. He was sitting next to me in the hallway of the hospital, and he was kind of enjoying the buzz. Meanwhile, grips were going down the hallway doing wheelies in wheelchairs,” set decorator Claude Roussel said.

The authorities never figured out who poisoned the soup. Still, the crew managed to turn the event into a funny story, complete with T-shirts.

"One of the art-department guys made T-shirts, and he recreated that chowder on the corner of the T-shirt," Clarke said. "He gave that out to a bunch of the local crew. It said underneath it, ‘Good crew, bad crew.'"

I Tried Reba McEntire's Unusual Juice Cocktail—and I Wasn't Expecting for It To Be My New 'Forever Love'

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 4:12pm

Reba McEntire, or just Reba as she’s more commonly known, is a woman of many talents. She sings, she acts and she makes a pretty killer cocktail. That’s right, friends: when the Queen of Country isn’t effortlessly belting out her greatest hits on stage at The Grand Ole Opry, she’s busy serving up cocktails at her restaurant, Reba’s Place, in Atoka, Oklahoma. OK, maybe not her personally, but you get the idea.

The down-home Southern comfort food establishment first opened its doors in 2023, and like most things Reba touches, it's been a hit ever since. In addition to turning out dishes like Banana Bread with Bourbon Butter, Dill Pickle Fried Cheese Curds and Nashville Hot Chicken Dip, the buzzy establishment also makes more than a few tipples that are almost too easy to toss back. And luckily for those of us who can’t make it to Oklahoma, Reba shared the recipe for one of the most alluring drinks on the menu—the Strange Juice.

😋😋 SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & more in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter 🍳🍔

Naturally, I had to give the eye-catching bevy a try myself just to see if it was all style and no substance. Well, I’m happy to report that it’s even better than it looks. TL;DR: You need to add this recipe to your summer cocktail rotation. Here’s how to make it.

Ingredients for Reba McEntire’s Strange Juice Cocktail

Courtesy Kenn C. Bivins

To shake up your own Strange Juice Cocktail at home, all you’ll need is pineapple juice, lemon juice, oregat syrup (I highly recommend using Liber & Co), crushed ice, purple gin (I used Empress 1908 Indigo Gin as recommended by Reba’s recipe), and dehydrated pineapple or fresh pineapple leaves for garnish.

How to Make Reba McEntire’s Strange Juice Cocktail

Once you’ve gathered your ingredients, making this stunning tiki-style cocktail couldn’t be any easier. Simply fill your shaker with crushed ice, and then pour in the pineapple juice, lemon juice and oregat syrup. Give it a good shake, and then pour it into a Collins glass filled with ice before topping it off with the gin. Garnish with a fresh pineapple flag or dehydrated pineapple ring, a few washed pineapple leaves and enjoy!

What I Thought of Reba McEntire’s Strange Juice Cocktail

Courtesy Kenn C. Bivins

To say I loved this cocktail is putting it lightly. It’s the kind of drink you order over and over again until you’re belting out “Fancy” at some beachside karaoke bar without a care in the world. Not only is this drink visually arresting, but it also tastes as good as it looks. At first sip, I was immediately transported to the tropics and could almost feel the warm, salt-kissed air brushing over my face. It’s sweet and fruity with a subtle hint of nuttiness from the oregat, but the real kicker is the gin floater on top.

You’re not hit with booze right away; it kind of sneaks up on you, making this cocktail all the more sippable. Best of all, it’s one of the more low-effort, high-reward cocktail recipes out there, and that makes it a win in my book. I’ll definitely be making this one all summer long.

Tips for Making Reba McEntire’s Strange Juice Cocktail

If you want to make your own Strange Juice Cocktail at home, these are the three tips to keep in mind.

1. Don’t skip the oregat syrup.

Although you might be tempted to omit it, oregat is one of the key ingredients in this cocktail. It’s typically made by grinding whole almonds in water, then infusing the resulting liquid with sugar and orange blossom for a sweet floral aroma. Unlike almond simple syrup, oregat is usually cloudy or milky with a more robust flavor profile. That being said, it can be difficult to find, so we recommend sourcing it in advance if you're planning to make a batch for a party.

2. Fill the glass to the brim with ice.

To achieve the stunning layered effect, it’s important that your glass is filled with ice. It helps separate the layers, creating that gorgeous ombré effect.

3. Make it how you want.

Despite the two rules above, this cocktail is so easy to make that you can customize it however you want. Allergic to almonds? Sub in a different simple syrup. Not into pineapple juice? Try it with pomegranate instead. You could even splash in a bit of Yoshi’s vibrant Matcha Liqueur if you’re looking for a subtle grassy note. As long as you enjoy it, that’s all that matters. Cheers!

1976 Rock Classic, Named No. 1 Greatest Live Album, Spent 97 Weeks on the Chart

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 4:06pm

In 1976, Peter Frampton went from respected guitarist to one of the biggest stars in the world almost overnight.

After four studio albums failed to break through commercially, Frampton Comes Alive! transformed his career. The double live album eventually topped the Billboard 200, became the best-selling album of 1976, spent an astonishing 97 weeks on the chart, and has sold more than eight million copies in the United States alone.

Nearly 50 years later, producer, guitarist and music educator Rick Beatosaid no live rock album has ever surpassed it.

"I think it's the greatest live record ever," Beato said in a video. "It's one of the greatest albums of all time. It's not just because of the songs."

Rather than simply praising the record's hit singles, Beato explained that Frampton Comes Alive! fundamentally changed the way he understood guitar.

The album arrived during the summer of 1976 after Beato broke his ankle and spent months recovering at home. Confined to the couch, he picked up an acoustic guitar and began teaching himself by playing along with the records his older siblings owned. One of them was Frampton Comes Alive!.

Beato recalled listening beyond the familiar radio hits like "Show Me the Way," "Baby, I Love Your Way," and "Do You Feel Like We Do," becoming captivated by the album's opening track, "Something's Happening."

"I learned so much just from the first song," he said. "It was not even a single. It was just the opening track."

Throughout the nearly hour-long discussion, Beato breaks down Frampton's solos phrase by phrase, explaining how they taught him about chord changes, melodic phrasing and modes years before he formally studied music theory. He said those discoveries shaped his own musicianship and eventually influenced the way he teaches guitar today.

"The album is the best live record to me because it's the first record that I started learning stuff off of," Beato said. "Peter's playing is just unbelievably great. It's so perfectly constructed. His solos just flow incredibly well."

The numbers behind Frampton Comes Alive! help explain why it remains so beloved. Released in January 1976, it climbed from No. 191 to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, spent 10 non-consecutive weeks atop the chart, remained on the Billboard 200 for 97 weeks, and was still No. 14 on Billboard's year-end album chart in 1977. The album also earned Rolling Stone readers' "Album of the Year" honors in 1976 and its readers ranked it No. 3 on the Best Live Albums of All Time list. It was later inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2020.

"Nobody saw the explosion of Frampton Comes Alive! coming," wrote Rolling Stone on the readers' poll. "Singles 'Show Me the Way,' 'Baby, I Love Your Way' and the 14-minute 'Do You Feel Like We Do' went into super heavy rotation on radio. He was loved by teenage girls, and their older brothers. He owned the year 1976 like nobody else in rock."

Rolling Stone also placed Frampton Comes Alive! on its own writers' list of the Greatest Live Albums of All Time, calling it the "ultimate example" of a live album where all the songs "came to life in the live setting ... Even the crowd noise sounds sensational."

Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle’s ‘Proof’ on Broadway Approaches Its End

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 3:44pm

Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle made their long-awaited Broadway debut earlier this year, starring in Proof on Broadway. With Edebiri’s filmography of The Bear, Bottoms, Opus, Abbott Elementary and After the Hunt, along with Cheadle’s filmography, which includes Iron Man 2 and 3, several Marvel films, Ocean’s Twelve and many more films, it’s no wonder the two were considered for this Broadway production.

Proof on Broadway officially opened on April 16 at Booth Theatre in New York, with previews beginning March 31. Since its opening, the Broadway production has seen the likes of the Obama family, Kerry Washington, Tyriq Withers, Whoopi Goldberg and many more stars and theatre fans. In fact, the production was so popular that Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle appeared on Michelle Obama’s podcast, along with CBS Sunday Morning, Playbill, the Today Show, Late Night With Seth Meyers and more. The production will take its final bow on Sunday, July 19, with the last show starting at 3:00.

Written by Pulitzer Prize and Tony-Award winning David Auburn and directed by Tony Award winner Thomas Kail, Proof follows a brilliant young woman named Catherine, who spent years caring for her father, a groundbreaking mathematician who struggled with mental illness. Following his death, Catherine must prove that she authored a groundbreaking mathematical proof in the midst of family drama, romance and mental health struggles.

With production nearing its end, Edebiri spoke with Deadline about the toll of taking on a character like Catherine. “I had to finish a show and then sit with myself and let my body really intake all of this physical information. Each show is so different because who is in the space and sharing space with us and giving us energy is so different. It’s like, ‘Oh, the body keeps the score,” she said.

In a panel discussion, Cheadle spoke about taking on the role of Robert. “It’s rare that we step back and really can just see someone and challenge our own sort of preconceptions about what that person is supposed to be and actually see what they are. And give people the grace that you hope that you would receive ... not be misunderstood, not be unseen, not be overlooked,” he said.

With themes of mental health, academics, gender, wealth and more, Edebiri speaks about what it’s like working with Cheadle for The New York Times. “Working together has been even cooler than we imagined. Even in that first reading, I was like, ‘Oh, why do I feel like we know each other or something?’”

Tickets are still available for Proof on Broadway shows for tonight, tomorrow and Sunday before the production ends. Grab them at proofbroadway.com.

‘Game of Thrones’ Star Lena Headey Says the Show’s Fans Were Angry She Didn’t Go Nude

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 3:29pm

Lena Headey is looking back on how some Game of Thrones fans were upset she didn't go nude onscreen.

Headey, 52, is best known for her role as Cersei Lannister on the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, which is based on the beloved book series by George R. R. Martin. But in a new interview, the British actress reflected on how she faced a significant backlash from fans during the show's fifth season when she decided to use a body double in a nude scene. When word got out that a body double and some CGI were used for the scene, Thrones fans were very upset and took to social media to declare their frustration with Headey.

“I was really shocked by the anger, by this idea that I’d duped the audience,” Headey shared in a new interview with The Telegraph. “But by that point everyone knew [the cast], it was insane simply going anywhere, and I was with 3,000 extras. Acting is a joy, but it requires a lot of you. I wouldn’t have been able to do the emotional part of the job; I’d have been in full-on defensive mode.”

At the time, Headey spoke of the controversy, telling Entertainment Weekly that “some people thought I was less of an actress because I didn’t get my tits out."

It was really a bit shocking. I’ve done nudity. I’m not averse to it. But I know I’m a very emotional actor and I get really driven by that. In order to do my job, I allow myself to be really vulnerable. I don’t know any other way to do my job. Things really affect me," Headey shared with EW. "And the thought of being naked for three days and trying to contain her in the way she would be, I think I would feel very angry. I didn’t want to be angry. I don’t think Cersei would be angry. I did what I thought she would do, emotionally.”

What's Next for Lena Headey?

Lena appears in the new BBC Radio audio drama Intimacy, in which she plays Liza Simmons, whose dream job on a major film set takes a dark turn when secrets resurface from her shared past with the director. Intimacy premieres on BBC Sounds on July 22.

A cold drink hits differently when it’s filled with the soft, chewable nugget ice you usually find at restaurants or drive-throughs, and now you can make it yourself at home. The Qunler Portable Nugget Ice Maker is on a flash deal at Walmart right now for just $130, down from $600. It comes in a stainless steel finish and has a convenient built-in handle, plus a one-touch self-cleaning function.

The machine can make its first batch in about 10 minutes and produce up to 33 pounds of ice in a day. It measures 12.7 inches long, 10.2 inches wide, and 8.3 inches high, so it doesn’t require a huge section of your counter. The nugget ice is soft and chewable, and its porous texture helps it soak up some of the flavor from iced coffee, soda, lemonade, and other drinks. It also comes with a scoop, built-in indicator lights that show when the basket is full or needs more water, and a three-year warranty.

And since it doesn’t need to be connected to a water line, you could also bring it to an RV, camper, or vacation rental.

Shoppers have described this little machine as a “space-saving” ice maker that’s “super easy to set up,” noting that it “makes ice very quickly.” One person said it’s the “best nugget ice machine” they’ve ever had, while another called it a “lifesaver.” “Each nugget is small and perfectly sized for any cup,” a third reviewer wrote, calling it “lightweight but durable.”

Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. Groen was ahead at the end of the DJ Round, with $24,200, as Strange trailed behind with $12,400, with Rebholz at $1,600.

'Off Campus' Actress Named as Rare Beauty’s First Ever Ambassador

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 2:57pm

Off Campus actress Ella Bright has been named Rare Beauty's first-ever ambassador. The British-American star fronts the new "Made You Blush" campaign starring the cult-favourite liquid blush.

Rare Beauty launched in 2020 by Only Murders in the Building star Selena Gomez. The make up line went instantly viral, with beauty gurus raving their Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Stick and Positive Light Under Eye Brightener.

“I’m so excited to announce my partnership with Rare Beauty as the new face of the ‘Made You Blush’ campaign,” Bright gushed in the press release. “I’ve been a massive fan of the brand for years, and their Soft Pinch Liquid Blush has always been a favorite in my makeup routine. "

She continued, "I really admire Rare Beauty’s dedication to mental health initiatives, which is why this project means so much to me.” This refers to Rare Impact, the non-profit initiative founded by Gomez with the mission of increasing access to youth mental health services and education globally

In the new campaign video, Bright stands by as a group of men try to impress her. “People are always trying to make me blush,” she flirtatiously says in the clip. “Funny thing is, no one ever can.”

"Turns out, there’s only one thing that makes me blush: Soft Pinch Liquid Blush by Rare Beauty,” she says after none of the men impresses her.

Elle Bright found fame on Amazon Prime Video's Off Campus. She plays Hannah Wells in the series, which is based on the best-selling books by Elle Kennedy. The show follows the love and professional lives of an elite college ice hockey team at the fictional Briar University.

Rare Beauty is a line that is "made to feel good in, without hiding what makes you unique—because Rare Beauty is not about being someone else, but being who you are," the website reads.

This Fast-Food Chain's Biscuit Just Dethroned Popeyes and KFC as America's Best Side

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 2:49pm

Church's Texas Chicken's Honey-Butter Biscuits just earned the title of best fast food side dish in the country, according to USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards, and the chain isn't shy about celebrating.

The 10Best awards work in two stages: a panel of food and travel experts nominates contenders in each category, then the public votes to decide the winner.

Fried chicken sides have long been dominated by a handful of familiar names. KFC's biscuits and Popeyes' Cajun-spiced offerings have built loyal followings over the years, but when USA Today readers cast their votes for the best fast food side in the nation, it was Church's Honey-Butter Biscuits that came out on top.

The scratch-made biscuits, drizzled with the chain's signature honey butter, have built a cult following that goes beyond the drive-thru. They're prepared fresh daily rather than shipped in frozen, which fans say sets them apart from other fast food biscuit offerings. Some are so enamored with the side that they've posted dozens of copycat recipes online, trying to recreate the fluffy, sweet biscuit at home rather than wait for their next Church's run.

It's also not the chain's first time in the spotlight. Church's biscuits climbed from a runner-up finish in both 2023 and 2024, to fifth place last year, before finally claiming the top spot in 2026.

Church's fried chicken had a strong showing of its own, landing at No. 2 in the Best Fast Food Fried Chicken category, edged out only by Jollibee. Together, the two wins mark one of the chain's strongest showings in the awards' history.

To celebrate, Church's is giving back to the fans who voted. Through July 23, customers who spend $20 or more on the chain's app or website can enter the code BESTBISCUIT at checkout for three free Honey-Butter Biscuits. Members of Church's rewards program will find the deal already loaded into their Bonus Offers, no code needed.

For anyone who's been meaning to try the biscuit that just topped the country's best side dishes, this is the week to do it.

Mariah Carey Drops 30th Anniversary Edition of This Album Today

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 2:49pm

Thirty years later, Mariah Carey isn't giving her fans a fantasy, she's giving them a Daydream. On Friday, July 17, the pop singer released a 30th anniversary edition of Daydream, her 1995 album that spent six weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and went on to earn 11x Platinum status, via streaming platforms. The expanded release isn't just a straightforward reissue, it comes packed with previously unreleased tracks, giving longtime fans (*affectionately known as the Lambily) a deeper look into one of the most influential albums of her career.

Carey shared the news in an Instagram post timed to the release, reflecting on just how many milestones the album represented for her. She pointed to Daydream as the album that introduced her first rap collaboration, the now-iconic "Fantasy" remix featuring the late O.D.B., along with her first time working with producer Jermaine Dupri, her first world tour, and the first music video she directed entirely on her own.

View this post on Instagram

That sense of nostalgia carries over into the anniversary release itself. For the first time, Carey is opening up her personal vault, sharing private writing sessions for "I Am Free" and "Melt Away," alongside remixes, live performances, acapella versions, and b-sides. According to the album's press materials, the reissue also includes fan favorites and a brand-new remix of "Underneath the Stars."

Streaming is just the beginning, too. Physical copies of the anniversary edition are set to arrive on Oct. 16, giving fans multiple ways to relive the era: including a triple LP, a 2-CD set, and cassette formats. (*Hope you kept your CDJs and boomboxes.) The vinyl edition goes a step further, featuring Carey's full 1995 live concert from Madison Square Garden, while the CD set includes previously unreleased performances of "Always Be My Baby" and "Open Arms" from a 1996 show in Rotterdam. Three decades in, and Daydream is proof that 'time can't erase' strong feelings.

1979 Soft Rock Ballad, Written About an Affair, Became a Heartbreak Anthem

Fri, 07/17/2026 - 2:42pm

Fleetwood Mac had a knack for turning personal relationships into unforgettable songs, andStevie Nicks' "Storms" emerged as a reflective ballad inspired by her affair with Mick Fleetwood.

Tusk was undoubtedly one of the most crucial albums the band released amid their complex relationships, fights, screaming matches, and well-noted affairs. While many hits came from the album, Nicks' "Storms" became a heartbreak anthem that she based on her lament over her affair that ended Fleetwood's marriage.

The track was one of her five songs that appeared on the album, and the first she presented to the band for consideration. As the story goes, "Storms" wasn't well-received by the band, especially Lindsey Buckingham, who was critical of it from the get-go. His then-girlfriend, Carol Ann Harris, recalls a screaming battle that occurred between them because of it.

“These fights left their bloody marks, over and over again,” Harris remembered, according to Rolling Stone. “Added to the weight of the battle scars from Lindsey’s and Stevie’s past personal relationship, they made the atmosphere of the studio even uglier with each passing day.”

Engineer Hernán Rojas also remembers Nicks feeling overcriticized by the band for her songs, saying, "It wasn't that Stevie's songs weren't good, just that they presented more of a challenge, not only to arrange the song structure, but also to give it a brighter mood."

In truth, "Storms" wasn't written as an upbeat track, as it was about her and Fleetwood's affair having contributed to the end of his marriage. During the time the song was created, Fleetwood was married to Jenny Boyd, with Boyd having had her own affair with Peter Green. Boyd and Fleetwood married and divorced each other twice. It was shortly after Fleetwood’s second marriage to Boyd that Nicks began her affair with him.

"It was really about Mick...That relationship destroyed Mick's marriage to Jenny, who was the sweetest person in the world...Here’s that song in a nutshell: Don't break up other people's marriages. It will never work and will haunt you for the rest of your miserable days," confirmed Nicks.

It's also believed that Nicks wrote "Storms" after Fleetwood began dating her best friend, Sara Recor, and moved in together without telling her. One critic even caught on to the inspiration behind the song and said it's an "affecting look at romantic discomfort." In the end, Nicks wrote a track that was a hit among critics who called it a "lovely ballad." The track ultimately never entered the charts due to it never being released as a single.
