Nelly Furtado Looks Happier Than Ever After Quitting Performing Due to Body Shaming
Nelly Furtado may have quit performing live due to body shaming, but we think she's more beautiful than ever.
The beloved Grammy winner, 47, who rose to fame in the 2000s thanks to hit songs like “I’m Like a Bird,” “Turn Off the Light,” and “Promiscuous,” is stepping out less than a year after announcing she would be quitting performing. The singer, who cited a horrible wave of body shaming as the cause of her decision to stop her onstage career, has no intention of stopping making music, however. Regularly in the studio to make new tunes, the star also made an appearance on Thursday alongside keynote speaker, disability advocate, and content creator Spencer West. Wearing a snakeprint suit and sporting a big smile, it looks like Furtado doesn't miss hitting the stage one bit as she held a Q&A with West, who just released his new book, Breaking Free: Stop Following Expectations and Start Following Yourself. Known for summiting Mount Kilimanjaro on his hands and opening for the North American leg of the Demi Lovato World Tour, West smiled next to Furtado.

Why Did Nelly Furtado Quit Performing?Back in October, Furtado took to Instagram to announce that she would stop performing after she was hit with an onslaught of online body shaming.
“I have decided to step away from performance for the foreseeable future and pursue some other creative and personal endeavors that I feel would better suit this next phase of my life,” the beloved singer captioned her Instagram post. “I have enjoyed my career immensely, and I still love writing music, as I have always seen it as a hobby I was lucky enough to make into a career. I’ll identify as a songwriter forever.”
View this post on Instagram Is Nelly Furtado Still Making Music?Yes! Furtado stopped performing live onstage, not creating music. In fact, the Canadian queen took to Instagram earlier this week to tease out something new.
"💔☁️ @dvbbs May 29th," the legend captioned her video. Guess we'll just have to wait until then to see what she has cooking!

This European City Costs Way Less Than a Weekend to the Jersey Shore—and It's Absolutely Worth the Trip
If you've been priced out of a summer weekend at the Jersey Shore, consider redirecting that budget eastward. Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania, a charming Baltic country that doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves. And here's the best part: you can experience it all—flights, hotels, culture, history, food—for way less money than other European destinations.
When Kayakanalyzed flight and hotel searches from U.S. travelers planning European getaways between January and June 2026—factoring in average round-trip economy airfare and standard hotel rates—Vilnius topped the affordability rankings. A typical Jersey Shore weekend? You're looking at thousands in some cases, and that's without even booking a flight. For Vilnius? According to Travel + Leisure, the average combined flight and 3-night hotel stay costs about $776
Vilnius isn't just affordable, it's truly worth visiting. The UNESCO-listed Old Town is one of the largest surviving medieval centers in Eastern Europe, with winding cobblestone streets lined by centuries-old architecture—Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical buildings all mixed together.

What to Do and See in Vilnius, LithuaniaHead to Cathedral Square, where Vilnius Cathedral and its bell tower have stood since the 13th century. The Cathedral is free to enter. From there, wander into the Old Town's labyrinth of streets. You'll come across St. Anne's Church with its intricate Gothic design, the historic Gate of Dawn (a 16th-century fortification), and surprise courtyards tucked between old buildings.
For the best city views, climb Gediminas Tower. It's a quick walk up, open 24/7, and won't cost you a thing. At the top, the entire city spreads out below you, offering epic views (and photos).
If you want to see Vilnius from a completely different perspective, several hot air balloon tour operators offer sunrise flights over the Old Town and the surrounding countryside. It's pricey compared to other activities, but still reasonable by Western standards.
Dinner should be at a traditional Lithuanian restaurant. Try cepelinai (potato dumplings) or šaltibarščiai (cold beet soup). A solid meal costs $10 to 15 per person. The city also has a growing craft beer and cocktail scene that's shockingly affordable.
If you have extra time, head to Užupis, the artsy neighborhood that jokingly declared independence two decades ago. It's packed with galleries, bars, and unique shops. For a day trip, take the short drive to one of Lithuania's most iconic sights: Trakai Castle, a stunning 14th-century fortress set on a lake. Or venture further to the Hill of Crosses near Šiauliai, a sacred pilgrimage site covered in thousands of wooden crosses that tells a significant story of Lithuanian resilience and faith.

Why Eastern Europe Right NowData shows that Eastern Europe is where budget-conscious travelers are heading to experience authentic culture, food, and architecture without dealing with the crowds or exorbitant prices of Western Europe hotspots. Vilnius gets nearly 2 million visitors a year, but it never feels packed. It's interesting and affordable—a rare combination these days.
Lithuania as a whole works the same way. The entire country is walkable and budget-friendly, filled with everything from Soviet-era museums to Baroque churches to cutting-edge restaurants. You could easily stretch a Vilnius weekend into a full week and still spend less than you would on a Jersey Shore trip.
1987 Fleetwood Mac Song Spends 150 Weeks on UK Chart
Despite not releasing a song in decades, Fleetwood Mac still has a stronghold on the UK charts. This week, the iconic rockers have three songs in the British charts, with one sticking around in the top 100 for 150 weeks.
According to the Official Charts Company, only one artist can fill three spaces at a time as a lead, and more often than not, Fleetwood Mac has a trio of tracks in the top 100. "Dreams" and "Landslide" are currently charting alongside "Everywhere", which has hit 150 weeks in the chart.
This week, according to Forbes, "Everywhere" slipped from 79th to 84th on the chart, marking an overall total of 150 weeks. It's not the band's first time hitting this remarkable feat, as "Dreams" has now been hanging around the UK charts for 168 weeks.
Fleetwood Mac are a streaming success in Europe, with new generations of fans constantly being introduced to their music. Their music's inclusion in the likes of Girls, American Horror Story and the Guardians of the Galaxy films has ensured that the band's legacy lasts long after they stopped making music. Now, their songs are regularly used as part of commercials and TikTok trends.
Their seminal 1977 record Rumours is the longest-charting studio album in UK history, having spent well over 1,100 weeks on the chart. Esquire noted that this album has been streamed more than any other release from the 20th century.
It's not just the UK that loves "Everywhere," nearly four decades after its release, the song hit the Billboard Global 200 in April. The track was the fourth single from Tango in the Night and originally rose to No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1988. Written and sung by Christine McVie, the song features the classic line-up of Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Stevie Nicks.

1976 Classic Rock Hit, From No. 1 Album That Just Returned to Charts, Remains a Road Trip Anthem 50 Years Later
In 1976, the Eagles found success with a song that would become a beloved soft rock anthem. The song, ”Take It to the Limit,” was a full-on power ballad that featured lyrics about hitting the open road for a reflective ride. With a chorus that declared, “So put me on a highway, show me a sign, take it to the limit one more time,” the song resonated with radio listeners—and continues to do so 50 years later.
In a rare move, band member Randy Meisner sang lead on the song, which originally appeared on the Eagles' 1975 album One of These Nights, before its inclusion in 1976 on the No. 1 compilation album Their Greatest Hits Vol. 1. The song peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 13, 1976.
Meisner, who died in 2023, once explained the meaning of his trademark song in an interview. “The line ‘take it to the limit’ was to keep trying before you reach a point in your life where you feel you’ve done everything and seen everything, sort of feeling, you know, part of getting old,” the legendary singer and bass guitar player said. “And just to take it to the limit one more time, like every day just keep, you know, punching away at it … That was the line, and from there the song took a different course.”
He also revealed that “Take it to the Limit” wasn’t originally meant to be a single and instead was heavily promoted by radio stations. “A lot of times you’ll push a single, but this one it was on demand,” he said. “It was because it was getting played so much, they had to release it as a single. So, that was actually a real nice feeling. And every time we would play it live it would always bring the house down.”
Late bandmate Glenn Grey once shared that before the song, the band hadn’t “consciously” tried to make a hit single. “We finally succeeded with ‘Take It To The Limit,’” he said in an interview with music journalist Cameron Crowe. “That’s the first Eagles single to sell a million copies. It was our first gold single, maybe our only gold single. People always tended to buy our albums instead. We still had hit records, but they wouldn’t sell through as 45s much. We had a lot of #1s, but I know that “Take It To The Limit” was our first gold single.”
Five decades later, “Take It to the Limit” continues to find new fans. As of May 23, The Eagles’ Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) album re-entered the Billboard 200, where it has appeared on and off for a total of 530 weeks over the past 50 years.

1965 Folk Rock Hit, First Leaked and Later Banned by Radio Stations, Became a No. 1 Protest Song
Some of the most memorable and iconic songs that went down in history challenged the status quo or were a response to real events. Musician and producer P.F. Sloan developed an anti-war song in 1965, sung by Barry McGuire, that became a resonating and controversial protest track during the Vietnam War.
"Eve of Destruction" was written during a sudden spurt of inspiration where Sloan developed five tracks, one of them being a folk-rock hit based on the consequences of war and hatred. The song was originally offered to the Byrds, who would later release the track "Eight Miles High," but rejected it. The Turtles would record their own version of "Eve of Destruction" for their debut album.
At the time, McGuire had just left the Christies and became a solo artist, having released the track "Green Green" that topped the charts. He soon landed at Dunhill Records and stumbled upon Sloan's track, and released his own version, with Sloan playing guitar.
The lyrics resonated with listeners at the time, focusing on multiple events of the '60s. Events like the Vietnam War, the draft, social injustices, the Selma to Montgomery marches, the Watts riots, nuclear war, and even the American space program were all alluded to in its lyrics.
According to reports, an unfinished cut of "Eve of Destruction" was leaked by a radio disc jockey. McGuire got a call from his record label to turn up the radio and was stunned ot hear the track. Despite being an unpolished version of McGuire's vocals that were recorded in one day, the track was a hit. It landed on the Billboard Hot 100 and Cash Box at No. 1, and in Europe.
Due to "Eve of Destruction" being tagged as a protest song, it was subsequently banned by multiple radio stations. According to UDiscoverMusic, Billboard said its “controversial message lyric…leaves a lot to be desired." Radio stations in Chicago, Washington, Baltimore, and Memphis refused to play it and called it "leftist propaganda." The ban and controversy only made the track more popular among young listeners and on the charts.
McGuire has previously stated to have been stunned that "Eve of Destruction" was tagged a protest song, and revealed he saw it as "nothing more than a societal mirror, reflecting back at the world the hypocrisy of this present age, Political hypocrisy, Industrial hypocrisy, Social hypocrisy, Spiritual hypocrisy."
He also revealed that he received hate mail because of the track, and later learned that the FBI had a whole file on him. According to Sloan, McGuire wasn't the biggest fan on the track, and it was a placeholder if they had time during the recording session. He explains that listeners can hear him rushing through the song because of time constraints and because he was "reading it for the first time off a piece of paper."

Paul McCartney Revealed He Recently Acted as a Session Musician for This Iconic ‘60s Rock Band
Paul McCartney has revealed to Mojo that he worked on a track on the new Rolling Stones record.
The music icon told the outlet that he played bass on the song "Covered In You" on the upcoming Rolling Stones record, Foreign Tongues, which is released in July. He explained how he, his producer Andrew Watt and many bands of his generation want to hark back to their classic sound but don't want to get stuck in a musical rut.
“If you’re working with the Stones, they’ve got the Stones sound. It’s kind of the opposite with me - we’re trying not to do that,” McCartney explained to journalist Grayson Haver Currin. “The way we approached this album was: We’ve done that before. Let’s do it different.”
"You sit down and the noise you’re hearing, the record you’re making, it’s the Stones. After the day at the studio, people said, “How was it?” It was great! I mean, I was a session man with the Stones." he said, before adding. "I really enjoyed that, and it sounds like a Stones record."
Released on May 29, McCartney's new album The Boys Of Dungeon Lane draws on his eight decades of life, including his childhood in Liverpool, teenage crushes, and his early-career Beatles bandmates Ringo Starr, John Lennon, and George Harrison.
“Things people write often do refer to the past, but it’s hard to just refer to tomorrow. We don’t know what’s gonna happen then,” McCartney says of the albums’ themes of reflection. “But the past is even just talking about yesterday. It’s full of stuff. It’s a rich place to mine for ideas.”
The new record has been met with rave reviews and has a Metacritic score of 8.9. "And as charming as the record is, it’s also another terrific reminder of the artist’s remarkable staying power," said The Independent about his triumphant new album. During

Tiger Woods Breaks Post-Rehab Silence With an Emotional Message
Tiger Woods is breaking his silence with an emotional message after returning from rehab in Switzerland.
The golf icon, 50, who returned from rehab on May 15 following his rollover car crash, took to Twitter on Memorial Day to honor the legacy of his late father, Earl Woods, who died in 2006. He also made a point to honor all those men and women who gave their lives to their country.
"My father was a Special Forces operator with two tours in Vietnam and 20 years of service. To all those like my father, we all say thank you for your sacrifices. Without them we wouldn’t have the greatest country on Earth," Woods shared in a post on Twitter/X.

On April 1, Woods got the permission of a Florida judge to leave the United States to seek treatment following his car accident and arrest for DUI. He was granted permission to leave Florida, according to court documents obtained and reviewed by PEOPLE. According to the documents, the athlete’s physician made the recommendation that he leave the country “based upon the Defendant’s complex clinical presentation, the urgent need for a level of care that cannot safely or effectively be done within the United States.”
The recommendation that Woods seek treatment out of the U.S. was also based on the idea that his “privacy has been repeatedly compromised.”
“Ongoing medical scrutiny and public exposure create significant barriers to his care and would result in setbacks and an inability to fully engage in treatment,” Woods’ lawyer, Douglas Duncan, argued in the filing, the piece continued.
When Was Tiger Woods in a Car Accident? On March 27, Woods was involved in a rollover car crash when his Land Rover rolled over after he “overtook” a pressure-cleaning truck that was pulling a small trailer, Sheriff John M. Budensiek said in a press conference, PEOPLE noted.
Police administered a breathalyzer test on the scene, and Woods “blew triple zeros.” However, he refused to submit to a urinalysis at the jail. According to the police affidavit obtained by PEOPLE, Martin County Sheriff’s Office deputies allegedly found two hydrocodone pills in his left pants pocket.

The 4 Birth Months With Strong Souls
Some people are strong in ways that aren’t always obvious right away. It’s not about being loud, fearless, or pretending life never hurts. Real soul strength comes from surviving difficult seasons, staying kind after disappointment, and continuing to move forward even when life feels heavy. While every birth month carries its own unique energy, a few stand out for producing people with especially resilient spirits.
The following birth months seem to create individuals with a deep inner toughness that others admire, according to expert astrologers. Strong souls aren’t always the loudest people in the room. Sometimes they’re the ones quietly carrying others, rebuilding after loss, and continuing to hope even after life has tested them more than once.
Which Birth Months Have Strong Souls?Check for your birth month.
February — The One Who Stays True to Themselves No Matter WhatFebruary-born people often carry a quiet kind of strength. Influenced by independent Aquarius energy and emotional Pisces traits later in the month, they usually learn early on how to stand apart from the crowd. They don’t always fit traditional expectations, and as a result, they develop a thick skin over time. What makes February souls strong is their ability to stay true to themselves, even when others don’t fully understand them. Although they appear calm on the outside, they’re constantly dealing with challenges, doubts, and emotional pressure on the inside without giving up.

July — The Quiet Strength Everyone Leans OnWhether they fall under nurturing Cancer or confident Leo, July-born individuals are known for emotional endurance. They feel everything deeply, which can make life more intense, but it also gives them incredible compassion and strength. July personalities are often the people others lean on during hard times because they know how to offer comfort without judgment. What makes their soul powerful is their ability to love fiercely while still surviving heartbreak, disappointment, and personal struggles. They carry pain differently — quietly, but with remarkable resilience.
October — The One Who Gets Stronger Every Time Life Tests ThemOctober-born people often balance Libra charm with Scorpio intensity, creating personalities that are both thoughtful and emotionally strong. They usually face life with more maturity than people expect, especially after difficult experiences shape them early on. October souls tend to grow stronger every time life tests them. Instead of becoming bitter, they learn how to adapt, rebuild, and protect their peace. They may not always show vulnerability openly, but beneath the surface is someone who has fought emotional battles most people never see.

November — The One Who Rises From What Would Break OthersNovember-borns are easily among the strongest in emotional depth and inner power. Scorpio energy dominates most of the month, while Sagittarius brings determination and optimism later on. November-born individuals are survivors by nature. They tend to go through major transformations throughout life, and each challenge only adds to their strength. What makes them different is their ability to rise from setbacks that would break others. They don’t forget painful experiences, but they learn from them and come back wiser every time.

I Tried 10 Greek Yogurts From Aldi, and the Winner Won by a Landslide
Well, friends, it’s official; I’ve finally been converted to liking yogurt. I know, I never saw it coming either, but here we are. After a very confusing on-again, off-again relationship with yogurt, I’m proud to say that I have officially become a yogurt lover. Granted, I still haven’t made it to the stage of adulting where plain yogurt is even remotely appealing to me (I'm eating something flavored or not at all), but hey, a win is a win.
If you’ve been following the drama of it all, then you know that up until I tried Elleno’s seasonal Pumpkin Pie Flavored Greek Yogurt last fall, yogurt and I weren’t exactly on the best of terms. Let’s just say the idea of eating it gave me the same ick you get when you eat eggs for breakfast and get a bite that’s just a little too eggy if you know what I mean. Needless to say, that ick has entirely dissipated, and yours truly has been enjoying yogurt for breakfast nearly every day since.
😋😋SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & more in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter🍳🍔
I’ve even ventured into skyr yogurt territory and am currently hyperfixated on Painterland Sisters’ indulgent Vanilla Bean flavor. Who even am I? Actually answering that question probably requires a trip to the therapist, but you get the point. All that is to say that I’d like to think I’m somewhat of a yogurt expert these days, and to test that out, my newly refined yogurt-loving palette and I tried 10 Greek yogurts from Aldi and ranked them so you don’t have to. Read on for my definitive ranking and more yogurt hot takes.

What's Special About Aldi's Greek Yogurts? Before we get into the ranking, let’s talk about why Aldi Greek yogurt is so special. For starters, like most things at the budget-friendly retailer, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better deal on the creamy high-protein breakfast staple. The average prices for Greek yogurt options at Aldi fall somewhere in the $2 to $4 range, depending on what you get. Plus, the quality is often comparable to if not better than that of more popular name brands you can get at other grocery stores, and most Aldi private label brands are free of synthetic dyes, artificial flavors, sweeteners and preservatives.

To determine which Greek yogurt deserved to be my No. 1 pick, I looked out for three main things when testing each yogurt: consistency, mouthfeel and overall taste. I also stuck with Aldi-exclusive brands and tried to pick a range of flavors (even ones I’d normally skip) to ensure I wasn’t injecting any bias based on my personal preferences. I then scored each category out of 5 and added up the points to crown the undisputed winner.
10 Aldi Greek Yogurts, Ranked Worst to BestHere's my definitive ranking of Aldi's Greek yogurt options to find the best-tasting one.
10. Friendly Farms 2 Grams of Sugar Lowfat Greek Yogurt in StrawberryCourtesy Kenn C. Bivins
Truthfully, this one was hard to enjoy at all. It wasn’t bad consistency-wise, but it felt watery on my tongue, and the overwhelming flavor is less strawberry and more sugar substitute. It tastes like those flavor packets you add to your water, and not in a good way. It’s a hard pass for me.
9. Friendly Farms Super Zero Nonfat Greek Yogurt in Mixed BerryCourtesy Kenn C. Bivins
This was another disappointment in terms of flavor for me. It just ended up tasting like fruit potpourri, but without any of the actual sweetness of fruit. Sure, it’s not supposed to have any added sugar, but it would probably taste better without the sugar substitute to compensate. Another skip.
8. Friendly Farms Super Zero Nonfat Greek Yogurt in VanillaCourtesy Kenn C. Bivins
Much like its berry-forward sibling, this one was another miss for me. The vanilla flavor was a little more bearable, but it still kind of tasted like a vanilla protein shake in yogurt form. That being said, any of the lower-sugar options would probably work great in a smoothie, where the other ingredients may mask their lackluster flavor.

7. Friendly Farms Nonfat Greek Yogurt in Blueberry on the BottomCourtesy Kenn C. Bivins
Surprisingly, I thought this one would land higher on the list because I usually love blueberry anything, but it just didn’t wow me. It wasn’t bad by any means, but the blueberry flavor was a little too understated for my liking. The consistency was decent, but I wouldn’t reach for this on its own in the morning. Of course, if it were topped with a scoop of granola and extra blueberries, well, that’d be a different story.
6. Friendly Farms Nonfat Greek Yogurt in Raspberry on the BottomCourtesy Kenn C. Bivins
Another surprise to me was how enjoyable I actually found the raspberry flavor because raspberry can be hit or miss sometimes. Here, the raspberries deliver the flavor you’re looking for and really shine compared to the blueberry version. In terms of mouthfeel, it’s not as velvety as I would have liked, but it makes up for it in the flavor department.
5. Friendly Farms Whole Milk Greek Yogurt in Toasted Coconut VanillaCourtesy Kenn C. Bivins
Although I’ll admit I didn’t absolutely love the coconut flavor here, it’s not offensive enough to make me put it anywhere lower on the list. It would be great as the base for grilled pineapple or a fresh tropical fruit salad, and the texture and mouthfeel make it all the more luxurious. It’s a time and place kind of yogurt, and I can definitely get with that.
4. Friendly Farms Nonfat Greek Yogurt in Black Cherry on the BottomCourtesy Kenn C. Bivins
This one really blew me away. I wasn’t expecting to be impressed by the flavor as much as I was, but it’s the perfect complement to the Greek yogurt. It almost makes up for the less indulgent mouthfeel, though it was silkier than the other fruit on the bottom flavors. I’d definitely buy this one again. It would be great swirled into oatmeal or baked into oatmeal bars.
3. Simply Nature Organic Whole Milk Greek Yogurt in Vanilla BeanCourtesy Kenn C. Bivins
I could’ve predicted that this one would land somewhere in the top, and it definitely met my expectations. It was rich and creamy unlike its lower-fat counterparts, and the flecks of vanilla bean made it almost taste like melted ice cream. The only critique I had for this one was that it was significantly tangier than the others I tried, which made me less likely to keep going back, but it’s still really, really good. It would be perfect in a smaller portion.
2. Friendly Farms Whole Milk Greek Yogurt in Key LimeCourtesy Kenn C. Bivins
This is another one I knew I’d like because I love Chobani’s Key Lime Pie Flips, and although it doesn’t come with all the toppings like Chobani's, it definitely delivers. It’s rich and indulgent, perfectly sweet and the Key lime flavor is to die for. Needless to say, this one has earned a permanent spot in my fridge.
1. Specially Selected Indulgent Greek Yogurt in Honey VanillaCourtesy Kenn C. Bivins
After tasting my way through all the others, I knew this would end up topping the list, and honestly, it’s so much better than I anticipated. This one is thick and dense, almost like the consistency of skyr, but without the intense sourness skyr is known for. It was ultra creamy, like eating a Blizzard from Dairy Queen, and the honey-vanilla flavor is transcendent. It’s not overly sweet, and if I’m being completely honest, I could probably eat the entire 32-ounce container in one sitting.
If you're looking for a new Greek yogurt to add to your rotation, this list should help you discover some new and exciting flavors to try on your next trip to Aldi. As for me, I'll be sticking with the Specially Selected Indulgent Greek Yogurt in Honey Vanilla for the near future.

Miley Cyrus Just Adopted an Unusual Pet From a Shelter, and the First Photos Are Adorable: Meet Teru
Miley Cyrus just welcomed a new addition to her family: A tortoise named Teru!
The music queen, 33, who grew up in the public eye as the daughter of country music legend Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, rose to fame on the Disney Channel’s breakout hit series Hannah Montana. She played Miley Stewart from 2006 to 2011 on the iconic program, before breaking boundaries in her own musical career. Her 2023 song “Flowers” was the ultimate declaration of independence, and it’s safe to say Cyrus is living that freedom right now. And that means bringing home a 20-year-old Sulcata tortoise from a shelter!
On Instagram, Wags & Walks shelter in Los Angeles shared sweet photos of Cyrus alongside her new tortoise, named Teru.
"You truly never know who you’ll find in a shelter. 🤍This past week, we welcomed our very first tortoise into rescue. Meet Teru, a 20-year-old Sulcata who found himself in the shelter system, something even our team had never seen before. When we heard that @mileycyrus was hoping to adopt a tortoise, we knew we had to help make the connection happen. After a little coordination, the stars aligned, and Teru officially found his forever home with Miley," the shelter wrote.
Cyrus added the photo to her Instagram Stories, writing "Welcome home Teru!"

Cyrus, who is engaged to Maxx Morando, welcomed home Teru just days after she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. From the Walk of Fame to the shelters, Cyrus can do it all!
“After today, I commit to continuing the cycle of creation because that is what I truly live for,” Cyrus said at the ceremony, Yahoo reported. “My hope is that what I leave behind continues to affect the hearts of generations to come, ones that I won’t be here to experience. I hope it awakens something raw and imperfect and sexy and glamorous and joyful in times that need it. … Today is something I’ll never forget, and I’m always going to cherish.”

The Most Overlooked Pilates Exercise for Better Posture, According to Instructors
Pilates is a fan-favorite training method for many reasons. This low-impact, total-body workout enhances core strength, flexibility, balance, mindfulness and posture. It’s also a sustainable option for every fitness level to take part in and progress. The slow, controlled movement patterns are effective for sculpting lean, toned muscles and keeping your body in stellar shape.
When it comes to improving posture, Pilates builds strength in the “powerhouse” muscles—including the deep core, glutes, hips and pelvic floor—which offer support to the spine and keep your body properly aligned. This workout helps reduce tension in the shoulders and neck, reversing any hunched-over tendencies you may have developed. Needless to say, Pilates is a stellar addition to any well-rounded workout routine.
During your next session, there’s one particular exercise that’s often overlooked—but it’s excellent for improving posture. It doesn't engage the abs in a manner you’d expect, which is why it gets so little attention: When most of us think of classic “core work,” our minds naturally turn to planks, crunches, the Pilates hundred or roll-ups.
We spoke with experts who share everything to know about the "Pilates dart"—and how to do it with proper form to reap all the benefits.

The Most Overlooked Pilates Exercise for Better Posture"The dart" is one of the most underrated Pilates moves to improve posture. Its name comes from the swift, dart-like form your body assumes during the movement.
“Dart places the body in a position that directly opposes the one we spend most of our time in—whether that’s sitting at a desk, looking down at our phones or leaning forward throughout the day. It gently stretches the anterior chain while strengthening the posterior chain, helping restore balance and improve alignment,” explains Becca Revier, a Pilates instructor and certified personal trainer at Life Time Edina (Minnesota).
You won’t experience the deep, obvious "core burn" that many associate with abdominal work. Instead, Dart offers something more subtle: a sense of length through the spine and a refined engagement of the powerhouse. "The challenge lies in control and awareness rather than intensity,” Revier tells Parade.
The dart becomes more challenging as your mind-body connection deepens. If it feels like a seamless move, that usually means you’re compensating somewhere—such as flaring your ribs or losing your abdominal “scoop.”
“When performed with true precision, it’s surprisingly demanding. Personally, I consider Dart one of the most challenging Pilates exercises precisely because it moves against our habitual patterns,” Revier adds.

How To Perform the Pilates DartRevier breaks down how to perform the Pilates dart so you can add it to your routine.
- Begin lying prone on a mat with your arms resting beside your body.
- Bring your legs together. If this causes lower-back discomfort, separate them to hip-width.
- As you exhale, gently draw your abs up and away from the mat, elongating the lower back.
- Continue to exhale as you raise your chest, neck and head—keeping your body long rather than lifting high.
- Activate your abs to support your spine.
- Draw your shoulders away from your ears and picture reaching your fingers toward your toes to lengthen your body.
- Hold this position for 2 to 3 breaths, preserving lift and abdominal support.
- Use control as you lower on the next exhale.

Helpful form cuesIn order to make the dart as productive as possible, here are some helpful form cues to keep in mind.
- Prioritize length before lift—reach long through the spine instead of emphasizing how high you’re able to go.
- Draw your abs up and away from the ground.
- Gently activate your glutes to provide pelvic support.
- Gaze down toward the mat to maintain a neutral neck.
- Keep your neck soft by drawing your shoulders away from your ears.
- Picture reaching your fingers toward your toes to elongate your entire body.

How This Exercise Counteracts Common Posture IssuesThe dart places your body in thoracic extension—the total opposite of how most of us move each day. It’s common to assume a rounded, forward posture—whether driving, reading, watching TV, sitting at a desk, scrolling through social media or eating.
“The dart interrupts that pattern by encouraging length and extension through the spine,” explains Revier. “It calls for coordinated effort: scapular retraction and depression, proper cervical alignment and deep core engagement—all while working against gravity. Rather than forcing a big lift, dart is about controlled, mindful extension. This control allows the body to stretch and lengthen while building awareness of alignment and posture. It teaches us to move with intention and reconnects us to a more balanced, supported position in our bodies.”
According to Vanessa Johnson, NPCP and director of instructor training at Club Pilates, this move opens up the front of your rib cage, stretches out a tight chest and engages the neglected muscles in your mid-back without being too vigorous on tight upper shoulders.

Why Training the Upper Back and Posterior Chain Muscles Is So Important for PostureAs you age, your “anti-gravity” muscles—particularly the upper back and posterior chain—naturally lose strength. This can cause a hunched posture, also known as kyphosis.
“Strengthening the posterior chain is critical to maintaining balance and preventing the ‘collapsing’ effect of a weak spine,” says Johnson.
Preserving balanced strength between the front and back of your body is also crucial for maintaining mobility, posture and overall function, Revier adds.
That’s where the dart swoops in to build strength throughout the posterior chain, helping you sit and stand taller while keeping your shoulders relaxed, down and back. This promotes more efficient movement patterns overall.
“The stronger and more integrated our posterior chain becomes, the better we’re able to stand tall,” Revier stresses.
By practicing the dart, you’re supporting better posture, movement and healthy alignment as you go about your daily tasks and activities. This exercise is absolutely a keeper, and we suggest adding it to your home workouts ASAP.

1981 Pop Classic, Runner Up for ‘Greatest of All Time Hot 100 Songs by Women,’ Remains a Sizzling Hit 45 Years Later
A pop classic that is a runner-up for the "Greatest of All Time Hot 100 Songs by Women" remains a blood-pumping, sizzling hit 45 years later.
“Physical” by Olivia Newton-John remains one of the defining songs from the early 1980s. It captured a cultural moment where music, fashion, and fitness trends were intertwined in mainstream entertainment.
The song’s massive success helped solidify Newton-John’s transformation from country pop star to an artist willing to take creative risks with her sound and image. Decades later, it continues to stand as a signature hit that defined an era.
Billboard's "Greatest of All Time Hot 100 Songs by Women" encapsulates a who's who of female recording artists. Coming in just ahead of the movie and music superstar at No. 1 is LeAnn Rimes with the 1997 hit, "How Do I Live." One notch after Newton-John is Debby Boone's 1977 smash, "You Light Up My Life" at No. 3.

Ironically, the entertainer believed she "went too far" with the song "Physical." She shared with AXS TV's Dan Rather her concerns about the song's messaging.
"I surprised myself," she began.
"After I recorded it I kind of had a freak out," she admitted. "I called Roger Davies, and I said, 'I think I've gone too far.'" Davies was Newton-John's manager for many years.
"I think the song's going to be taken the wrong way, and I don't think we should release it," she continued. "He said, 'Too late, its out and its doing really well.'"
"And it went to No. 1 for 10 weeks," she revealed. "So I told Roger we should tone it down, lets make a video about exercise."
Little did Newton-John know the impact "Physical" would have on a generation of music video watchers. Smooth Radio reported that sales of exercise wear, featured prominently in the music clip, skyrocketed after the video surged in popularity.
Newton-John added in a clip about the making of the video, "It was the birth of the ’80s headband fashion craze. I should have started a headband and leg warmer company or made fitness videos. Jane Fonda beat me to it.”
Olivia Newton-John died on August 8, 2022. She was 73.

Sheryl Crow Reveals Her 5 Favorite Songs and Their Personal Stories
When it comes to ranking her best songs, Sheryl Crow has a lot to choose from. The darling of the 1990s pop-rock music scene, Crow’s 1993 debut, Tuesday Night Music Club, remains one of the best-selling albums of the decade. Since then, Sheryl Crow has released 12 studio albums and four live albums and has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide. Now, Crow is ranking her own music, naming her five best songs — and explaining why they matter most to her.

“It’s the only song when it comes on the radio, I don’t turn it off,” Crow explained. “I don’t overanalyze it, criticize it, whereas other things I go, ‘Gosh, I wish I would have done this or would have done that.’”
Crow then rounded out her top five with “Redemption Day,” “If It Makes You Happy,” “Everyday Is a Winding Road” and “Maybe Angels.”
Surprisingly, Crow’s most commercially successful song, “All I Wanna Do,” did not make the artist’s personal top five. Rather than simply choosing her biggest hits, Crow’s selections reflected songs that represent her evolution as an artist and the music that continues to resonate most deeply with her.

I Was One Of The First To Ride Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets—Here’s What It’s Like
A lot is happening at Walt Disney World right now, from new and upgraded attractions at every theme park to major upcoming projects like the Tropical Americas Land and Villains Land, coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom, respectively. But one of the most highly anticipated openings is the refresh of Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I was able to ride the completely redone attraction during a preview event, and let’s say it keeps all the thrills, but with a zany twist.
The changes start before you even get into the attraction's queue, where the upside-down car has gotten a fresh coat of paint, and the giant guitar outside the ride got a psychedelic paint job, going from classic red to tie-dye. There’s also a new background musicplaylist to rock out to while you wait. The playlist includes songs like "Rock On" and "MAYHEM!" by Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem (the rock and roll band from The Muppets), plus a slew of other 80s, 90s and 2000s rock and pop-rock anthems. A few of my favorites include "Photograph" by Def Leppard, "Sk8er Boi" by Avril Lavigne, "Ocean Avenue" by Yellowcard, and "Barracuda" by Heart.
The outdoor section of the queue is generally the same, but with some updated concept posters featuring nods to the band members of The Electric Mayhem.

Once you’re inside, though, you’re in for a real treat because that’s where Walt Disney Imagineering (the folks who design and build all of the new things at Disney Parks around the world) really showcases all things muppets. The first room features a set of fun videos with various Muppets and celebrity cameos. I saw Fozzie and Questlove jamming out, but things definitely go awry. You may also see the likes of Awkwafina, Darren Criss, John Stamos, Wayne Brady, Yvette Nicole Brown and more.
Then, through the Artist Entrance, there’s a fun display case of different Muppet memorabilia. The big show-stopping pieces include a tribute to Miss Piggy with one of her iconic ensembles, a recreation of Kermit’s original banjo from “The Rainbow Connection” and Floyd and Janice’s original guitars from The Muppet Show.
While the display cases are fun to look at, the real show begins with the incredible new pre-show where The Electric Mayhem are jamming out and rehearsing “Can You Picture That?” For the big concert across town. Of course, Scooter is the band’s manager, and a host of penguins are all audio engineers.

The pre-show of the new Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets features Scooter and Penguins.Walt Disney World
What makes the pre-show so exciting is that there are multiple versions of it. When I rode, I saw the Swedish Chef attempting to entertain the crowd, but you may also get Sam Eagle. The pre-show also features one of the best Easter Eggs of the entire ride, when Kermit tells the band they have “a minute and a half” to get to the concert. This is a clear reference to Sam Eagle’s Glorious Three-Hour Finale in the now-defunct MuppetVision 3-D, but it’s also the same amount of time that it takes to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
Then the alley doors open and you’re whisked away into the backstreets to catch your L.I.M.O., a new invention from Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker. These are the same ride vehicles as the ones from Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, but with a colorful new paint job. It’s also worth noting that Dr. Bunsen Honeydew pronounces the ride vehicles “lime-oh,” not “limo,” like the car. Out in the alley, there are plenty of secrets to look for, but to find out where all of them are, you’ll need to read our roundup of the best Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Easter Eggs.
Once I boarded my L.I.M.O., in the first row, of course, I was ready to take off from zero to 60 in just a few seconds. I loved the upgraded audio, which made it feel like you were actually at a concert. I also loved the new “Hollywood Fwy” sign at the launch, which changes to a countdown to launch starring Animal.
Related: The Most Monumental Week of the Year at Disney Is Here

The onboard experience felt the same, especially since the actual track wasn’t redone. The biggest changes to the onboard experience are the soundtrack and some of the props along the track. There are five new songs that you can get on the ride, though it’s really all random. I rode Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets twice, and got “Walking on Sunshine” by The Electric Mayhem featuring Kelly Clarkson, and "Love Rollercoaster” by The Electric Mayhem featuring Jennifer Hudson and Questlove. Both fit the attraction well, and I loved how different they both felt.
At the unload station, I loved seeing Statler and Waldorf, the crotchety old men who love to heckle the Muppets. Well, now they are heckling riders who are on their way to The Electric Mayhem concert. Some of the jokes here are quite funny, so be sure to listen closely.

Once you exit the ride, you’ll see The Electric Mayhem concert being streamed on a large screen. A sharp eye will also catch some of the celebrities from earlier in the queue in the crowd at the concert.
Overall, I loved the upgraded version of Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster. It feels fresh and fun, plus kids and adults will love the antics from The Muppets. Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets officially opens May 26 and will utilize a standby line and Lightning Lane.
