4 Birth Months Who Were Born to Break Generational Curses
Maybe you grew up with a parent who was wounded by their parent, and in turn, really didn’t know any better than to pass toxic ideas about beauty down to you. Or you’re a mother or father who wants to avoid instilling certain fears in your kiddo that your parents couldn’t help but raise you with.
Either way, breaking generational cycles is not for the faint of heart. Doing the work to set yourself and, if you are a parent, your child free can be equally liberating and exhausting. But for some people, especially those who came into the world during certain birth months, it’s a mission that comes naturally, because you were born to do it. Read on to see if you or someone you love was born during a birth month that’s associated with freeing yourself from generational patterns.

Costco Fans Are Racing To Grab These New June Finds—And 1 Fan-Favorite Bakery Item Is Finally Back
There’s something about walking into Costco in the summer that turns even the most disciplined shopper into a "well...it’s seasonal" person. One minute you’re grabbing paper towels and sparkling water off your list, and the next you’re loading a cart with snacks, ice cream and whatever they happen to be sampling that day. It's a familiar roller coaster that gets out of control fast. But that's the magic (and danger) of shopping at Costco and discovering their endless rotating selection and limited-time buys.
Summer is arguably Costco’s most dangerous season for impulse purchases, mostly because the warehouse giant knows exactly what shoppers want this time of year. Backyard parties, road trips, beach days, lazy brunches and late-night patio hangs practically demand oversized snacks, fun drinks and freezer meals that make life easier when it’s too hot to cook. And somehow, Costco always seems to time its new arrivals perfectly, dropping trendy products and returning fan-favorites right when shoppers are most willing to throw "budgeting" directly out the window.
June is shaping up to be especially stacked this year, with warehouses rolling out everything from new zero-proof cocktail packs and nostalgic bakery favorites to protein-packed snacks and organic freezer staples. Some of the products are arriving nationwide, while others are regional launches that Costco members are already hunting down online and dutifully reporting back to the masses on. And as any seasoned Costco shopper knows, once people start posting about a product on Reddit, there’s a decent chance it’ll disappear from shelves faster than the rotisserie chickens at dinnertime.
Whether you’re stocking up for summer road trips, pool days, vacation breakfasts or lazy patio nights, these are the Costco finds shoppers are grabbing this June.
1. Bloom Nutrition Sparkling Energy DrinksCourtesy of Bloom
Bloom Nutrition is bringing its sparkling energy drinks to Costco warehouses nationwide in a new 18-count variety pack featuring Strawberry Watermelon, Raspberry Lemonade and Peach Mango flavors. The wellness brand has exploded in popularity online thanks to its better-for-you positioning and brightly flavored drinks that don’t feel overly syrupy.
The Costco-exclusive pack is especially appealing for shoppers looking to stock up for summer travel, long workdays or afternoon energy boosts without constantly restocking smaller grocery-store packs. Since the variety case includes several of Bloom’s bestselling flavors, it also offers a low-commitment way for curious shoppers to try the brand without choosing just one flavor. Find it for $28.99 (18-count) in Costco warehouses nationwide.
2. Amy’s Organic Cheese Enchiladas and Bean & Cheese BurritosCourtesy of Amy's
Amy’s is expanding its Costco footprint this summer with several organic freezer staples rolling into select regions. In May, Costco’s Los Angeles region launched Amy’s Cheese Enchilada 4-Pack ahead of Cinco de Mayo. The enchiladas are made with USDA-certified organic ingredients and contain 21 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber per serving (not too shabby if you're counting your protein).
Beginning this month, Amy’s Organic Bean & Cheese Burrito 8-Pack will arrive in Bay Area Costco locations before expanding into Texas warehouses in July as part of Costco’s Organic Focus promotion. Because these launches are regional, shoppers may want to keep an eye on local warehouse inventory over the coming months. Find them for $19.99 in select Costco freezer sections.
3. Kirkland Signature Grass-Fed ButterCourtesy of Kirkland
Costco shoppers are already paying close attention to Kirkland Signature’s grass-fed butter, which is sourced from New Zealand dairy farms. The butter is produced using milk from cows raised under New Zealand’s nationally audited grass-fed standards, which require pasture grazing for at least 340 days each year.
Beyond the sustainability angle, grass-fed butter has become increasingly popular among home cooks and bakers because of its rich flavor and lower melting point. Chefs often prefer it for baking and finishing dishes thanks to the added nuttiness and depth it can bring to recipes. Find it for $10.99 (4-pack of 8-ounce sticks) in Costco stores nationwide.
4. Recess Zero Proof Mocktail Variety PackCourtesy of Recess
Zero-proof beverages continue to dominate grocery trends, and Costco is leaning into the movement with Recess’s new 15-can mocktail variety pack. The sparkling drinks mimic classic cocktail flavors including Cosmo, Spritz, Margarita and Paloma while remaining completely alcohol-free. The Recess variety pack is only arriving in select regions, including Texas, Los Angeles, the Bay Area, the Northeast and the Northwest, so availability may vary depending on location. Find it for $25.99 (15-pack) in select Costco warehouses.

5. Honey Smoked Fish Co. Honey Smoked SalmonCourtesy of Honey Smoked Fish Co.
Prepared seafood products continue gaining traction everywhere (after all, it's quick, easy and cheap sources of protein!). Honey Smoked Fish Co.’s ready-to-eat salmon fits neatly into this trend. The honey-smoked salmon filets require zero prep and can easily be used in salads, pasta dishes, grain bowls or fish tacos. And don't be fooled by its appearance: unlike traditional smoked salmon that’s typically sliced thin, this product is sold as a full filet weighing between 14 and 16 ounces, making it feel more versatile for full meals. Find it for $16.99 per pound in Costco seafood sections nationwide this month.
6. CRISP POWER Cheddar Protein PretzelsCourtesy CRISP POWER
Protein snacks continue taking over warehouse shelves, and CRISP POWER’s Cheddar Protein Pretzels are heading to Costco in a massive 13-ounce members-only bag. Each serving contains 14 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber and only 4 net carbs, positioning the snack squarely in the high-protein snack category Costco shoppers can’t seem to get enough of lately. The cheddar flavor will begin rolling out in select regions throughout the summer, including the Northeast, Southeast, San Diego, Bay Area and Northwest markets. Find them for about $9.99 (13-ounce bag) in select Costco snack aisles.
7. Stellar Snacks Mini Pretzel BraidsCourtesy of Stellar Snacks
Another pretzel find this month, but make it viral. Stellar Snacks (which you may have recognized from your last flight--they're a regular on Southwest flights) is launching an exclusive Costco club pack featuring 36 mini pretzel braid bags in three flavors: Simply Stellar, Maui Monk and Bold & Herby. The individually packed pretzels are designed for grab-and-go snacking, lunchboxes and travel days, making them especially useful for busy summer schedules. Since the bags are portioned individually, the product also feels especially geared toward families stocking up for camps, sports practices and summer road trips. At the moment, the Costco-exclusive pack will primarily be available throughout Southeast Costco regions. Find the 36-count club pack in select Southeast Costco snack aisles.

Vita Coco is heading into summer with a brand new Frosted Lemonade Treats variety pack arriving in select Costco regions, including Texas, the Northeast and the Southeast. The 12-pack features frozen lemonade-inspired coconut beverages designed for warm-weather sipping and easy poolside stocking. The brand has become synonymous with hydration products over the years, but this launch leans more heavily into nostalgic summer flavors. The frosted lemonade angle also taps directly into the frozen drink trend currently dominating our seasonal menus and social media feeds. Find it for $18.15 (12-pack) in select Costco warehouses throughout Texas, the Northeast and the Southeast.
9. Coco5 Functional Hydration DrinksCourtesy Coco5
Coco5 is officially landing in Costco stores with an exclusive 18-bottle variety pack featuring coconut, pineapple and grape flavors. And, a fun fact: the functional hydration beverage was originally created in the Chicago Blackhawks locker room before eventually being acquired by NBA stars Devin Booker and Charles Barkley. Each bottle contains potassium, magnesium and calcium and is free from artificial dyes and flavors. The Costco-exclusive pack is rolling into Midwest locations, with additional roadshows planned for Southeast, Bay Area and Northwest regions throughout the summer. Find it for $19.99 (18-pack of 500ml bottles) in select Costco beverage aisles.
10. Loacker Strawberry WafersCourtesy of Loacker
Loacker is expanding its iconic wafer lineup with a new Strawberry flavor now arriving at Costco Business Centers nationwide. The crisp wafers are layered with strawberry cream filling and made without added flavors, preservatives or hydrogenated fats. The brand already has a loyal following among shoppers who grew up eating the classic hazelnut and vanilla varieties, so the strawberry version feels especially primed for nostalgic snack appeal. Find it for $8.89 (12-count pack) at Costco Business Centers nationwide.
11. Almond-Filled Danish View this post on InstagramCostco’s beloved Almond Filled Danish has officially returned to bakery sections, and longtime shoppers are wasting absolutely no time grabbing boxes. The buttery, flaky pastries come in a 4-pack and are part of Costco’s bakery mix-and-match deal, allowing shoppers to pair them with another 4-pack for $11.99. That makes them especially appealing for summer brunches, family gatherings and vacation breakfasts.
The almond version has developed an almost cult-like following over the years thanks to its soft layered pastry and rich almond filling. Costco shoppers on Reddit’s r/Costco page previously lamented the pastry’s disappearance from warehouses, making this comeback feel especially triumphant for bakery fans. Find them in the Costco bakery section as part of the 2-for-$11.99 bakery deals.
12. HI-CHEW POP Frozen TreatsCourtesy of HI-CHEW
Calling all fans! HI-CHEW is expanding beyond chewy candy with the launch of HI-CHEW POP frozen treats arriving in select Costco locations across California and Texas. The new popsicles are available in Strawberry and Grape flavors inspired by some of the brand’s most recognizable candy varieties. The 12-count boxes are currently rolling into select Costco locations in Northern California, Southern California and Texas, including Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas warehouses. Find it for $14.99 (12-count pack) in select Costco freezer aisles.
13. Valentina Hot Sauce ChicharronesCourtesy Valentina
Valentina Hot Sauce is teaming up with Rudolph Foods for a spicy new snack collaboration featuring baked chicharrones seasoned directly with the brand’s signature hot sauce flavor. Instead of serving the hot sauce on the side, the pork rinds are baked with the seasoning already infused into each bite--what could be better? The product is currently rolling out across select Costco regions including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Illinois, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado, with additional expansion planned for Los Angeles and Hawaii in the future. Find the 4-ounce bags for about $3.49-$3.99 and 2-ounce bags for about $2.29-$2.69 now.

What is National Donut Day? All About the Food Holiday Filled With Sweet Treats
National Donut Day is one of the sweetest days of the year, typically filled with offers that food fans won’t want to miss. The food holiday takes place on Friday, June 5, 2026, and its history features a very American twist.
National Donut Day began in 1938 in Chicago as a tribute to The Salvation Army women nicknamed "Doughnut Lassies.” These women supported American troops on the front lines during World War I by serving up fresh donuts that offered a comforting taste of home.
The World War I Centennial Commission shared details of the women's contribution to boosting morale.
"In 1917, The Salvation Army began a mission to provide spiritual and emotional support for U.S. soldiers fighting in France during WWI. About 250 volunteers traveled overseas and set up small huts located near the front lines where they could give soldiers clothes, supplies, and, of course, baked goods."

"After discovering that serving baked goods would be difficult considering the conditions of the huts and the limited rations, two volunteers, Ensign Margaret Sheldon and Adjutant Helen Purviance, began frying donuts in soldiers’ helmets. These tasty treats boosted morale and won the hearts of many soldiers," the commission's statement concluded.
The Salvation Army website features the century-old original recipe the Donut Lassies used. It features a base of simple ingredients including eggs, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk.
National Donut Day has become known for its wide range of deals from popular chains like Dunkin’ and Krispy Kreme. In addition to celebrating the holiday’s history, many shops mark the occasion with free treats and limited-time specials for customers.
Some offers extend throughout the month, while others are only available for a single day, depending on the retailer. Customers are encouraged to check their favorite donut shop’s website or social media pages for the latest promotions and updates.

1942 Classic That Won An Academy Award Is Still One Of The Best-selling Singles In The U.S.
For Bing Crosby, it was Christmas time in May when he recorded his classic holiday song that would become a favorite for decades to come.
Recorded on this day in 1942, "White Christmas" was originally meant for the film 'Holiday Inn' starring Crosby himself along with Fred Astaire. However the song made an impression on U.S. listeners as it's connotation of home and simpler times evoked comfort and nostalgia when the country had been a few months into World War II. As time went on, it solidified itself as a go-to holiday song — so much so that if it were missing from a holiday playlist, it would be incomplete.
The song was written by Irving Berlin and while it was first played on the radio during a Christmas broadcast in 1941 before its official recording a year later, it then was released wide.
"White Christmas" went on to win Best Song at the Academy Awards in 1943. It also scored a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for Best-selling single for Christmas with over 100 million sold and was added to Library of Congress National Registry in in 2002.
Chatting about the record in a 1972 BBC interview, Crosby couldn't help but name the iconic holiday tune as his favorite among his work.
"The easy answer is 'White Christmas' because it did so much for me and I'm eternally grateful for Irving Berlin for writing it," he said. "The song is identified with me and it's used every Christmas. That's the song really that had the most influence on anything I'd ever accomplished."
And while the song has since been covered by just about every mainstream singer who's made their way into holiday music, including Frank Sinatra, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, and Ella Fitzgerald, Crosby's version is one that listeners keep coming back to.
In fact, "White Christmas" from Crosby's Christmas album released in 1947, which features a rerecording of the song, has over 650 million streams on Spotify today.
Psychologists Say if You Were Born in the 1970s, You Likely Have These 7 Traits
Your childhood and the way you were raised may be unique to you and your family, but the time period you grew up in can bond you with others who experienced similar circumstances. For instance, for those born in the 1970s, there are seven traits commonly seen in that generation as adults. Economic indicators, world events, politics and culture can all play a role in how you lived and experienced life in the 1970s—and that can still impact your psyche today.
To better understand the mindset and traits that '70s babies can often share, Parade spoke with three psychologists. Dr. Lauren Mahoney is a New York school psychologist, adjunct professor at City University of New York and provides private practice services at Authentically Living Psychological Services. Dr. Ernesto Lira de la Rosa is a psychologist and media advisor for Hope for Depression Research Foundation. And Dr. Robyn McKay has a PhD in counseling psychology and is a top advisor and counselor in Arizona. She was also born in the '70s, so this topic hit home for her.
It is worth noting that you can't always lump an entire generation together.
"As a psychologist, I always want to emphasize that generational traits are broad and do not apply to everyone," Dr. Lira de la Rosa says. "Individual development is shaped much more by culture, identity and lived experience than by birth year alone."
But if you were able to experience the many shared cultural moments of the '70s, you might now have these seven traits as an adult.
Related: 50 Things Only People Who Lived in the 1970s Will Remember
What Do They Call People Who Were Born in the 1970s?Dr. Mahoney says that those born in the '70s are classified as part of Generation X, which is defined as those born from 1965 to 1980. She adds that those born in the late '70s can sometimes be called "Xennials," as they fall between early Gen X and the start of the Millennial generation.
Colloquially, she shares that people born in the 1970s are also "often referred to as the 'Latchkey Generation,' a label that reflects a meaningful developmental shift toward dual income households and increased childhood independence."
"Many describe coming home to an empty house, letting themselves in, making a snack and figuring out how to fill their time until dinner," she explains.
Related: 7 Phrases To Avoid When Emailing Gen X Coworkers, According to an Etiquette Expert
Is There a Specific Psychology of People Who Grew up in the 1970s?Dr. McKay calls the psychology of those who grew up in the '70s "existential pragmatism."
"When we were kids, the world felt both dangerous and limitless," she adds.
The psychologist explains that, especially as a young woman, she remembers the duck-and-cover school drills for the Cold War juxtaposed alongside the optimism of the Equal Rights Amendment, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and the Women's Liberation movement.
"We were the first generation of girls who were told that we could be whatever we wanted to be when we grew up, especially in fields that had been previously dominated by men like law, medicine and engineering," Dr. McKay says, citing astronaut Sally Ride and Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor as role models of the time.
Dr. Lira de la Rosa says that some other "shared developmental patterns" include the "shift in family structure and expectations" as many households became dual-income and divorce rates increased.
"Many children had more unstructured time and were expected to be more independent," says Dr. Lira de la Rosa, adding, "This generation grew up during broader uncertainty, including economic shifts and the Cold War."
Dr. Mahoney adds that growing up in the aftermath of Watergate and in the final years of the Vietnam War also "contributed to a broader cultural message that authority figures are
not always reliable."
"The psychology of growing up in the 1970s is best understood as a product of chronic, normalized autonomy layered onto a backdrop of institutional instability," she notes.

7 Traits of People Born in the 1970s, According to PsychologistsLuis Alvarez/Getty Images
1. Self-reliantAs a result of being latchkey kids and just generally "raised with the freedom that came with not being monitored and tracked 24/7," Dr. McKay thinks this led to "a deep-seated sense of self-reliance."
"We don't ask for permission; we build the solution—and we might ask for forgiveness if we feel like it," she tells Parade. "But don't count on it."
Dr. Mahoney says that this "defining feature" of self-reliance is less of an act of simple independence and more "an assumption of responsibility." She adds that '70s kids "are often the people who notice something needs to be done and handle it without being asked."
Related: People Who Were Considered 'Strong-Willed' as Children Often Develop These 10 Traits as Adults
2. PragmaticFor this generation, Dr. Lira de la Rosa says, "There is often a focus on what is realistic and effective, which can be grounded in having to problem-solve early on."
Dr. Mahoney adds that this pragmatic problem-solving is part of the overall resilience that '70s kids have.
"When something goes wrong, they focus on what needs to be done next," she explains. "If a plan falls through, they quickly adjust, make a new plan and keep moving rather than dwelling on the disruption."
3. AdaptableLiving through "major cultural and technological shifts" helped the '70s generation learn to be "flexible and able to adjust to change," says Dr. Lira de la Rosa.
Dr. McKay agrees, adding, "As a generation, we're the unique bridge between the analog world," and a more technological one. She continues, "Since we have analog souls and digital minds, we have the grounded pragmatism of the old world and the high-speed adaptability of the new world."
Dr. Mahoney sees this show up cognitively.
"They are often comfortable learning new systems while also being able to function without them," she tells Parade. "They can troubleshoot a digital platform but are equally comfortable picking up the phone or handling something face to face when needed."
4. CynicalDr. Lira de la Rosa says it's not unusual for those from this generation to "question authority or systems more readily." But rather than regarding that as disengaged cynicism, he thinks it "can be a strength when it comes to critical thinking."
"What can look like cynicism is often a protective stance, because it reflects being observant, thoughtful and sometimes guarded about where to place trust based on earlier experiences," he tells Parade.
5. Tolerant of discomfortDr. Mahoney says '70s kids have a "high discomfort tolerance."
"[They] are less likely to interpret stress or uncertainty as something that needs to be immediately resolved," she shares. Instead, she says, "They can continue functioning even when things feel unclear or unsettled."
She cautions that this may lead to them waiting longer to ask for support when needed.
6. TenaciousDr. McKay says the Gen X generation has tenacity, especially with regard to their career.
"We were the first generation to be told 'you can be anything,' and we watched the 'firsts,' like Sally Ride, prove it was true," she explains. "This deep-seated belief has given our entire generation the capacity to pivot careers, reinvent ourselves and claim our callings without losing our core sense of self."
7. Private"Individuals born in the 1970s are less likely to share personal experiences publicly or narrate their internal world in real time," says Dr. Mahoney.
But she adds that it's not that they don't share at all; they're just more selective.
"They may go through significant life events and only share details with a small group of trusted people," she explains. "Their sense of identity is often more internally grounded and less shaped by external feedback."

The Biggest Misconception About People Who Grew up in the ‘70s"To me, the biggest misconception is the 'Spicoli Slacker' trope from the movieFast Times at Ridgemont High," says Dr. McKay. Played by Sean Penn in the 1982 movie, Spicoli is a stereotypical surfer dude. But Dr. McKay doesn't think it's fair to label '70s babies "as unmotivated slackers."
"As a vocational counselor, I see now that we weren't slackers or lazy, we were building work-arounds, finding our own way into our careers," she explains. "By the time many of us graduated from college, technology was already moving at a breakneck pace... [It] seems to me that we were the first to prioritize our callings over careers in the mindless corporate ladder."

Bad Bunny's Limited-Time Collection With Zara Gets Quiet Restock After Selling Out Almost Instantly
Our favorite kind of reveals are the ones that end up being in our faces the whole time. Like when the casual diners all around you end up being part of a 100-person flash mob, or when you find out you're actually a participant on a hidden camera reality show. It takes dedication and careful planning to keep a secret hidden in plain sight, but some people are masters at giving us breadcrumbs without spilling all the beans. Case in point, Bad Bunny. The beloved reggaeton and Latin trap artist-turned-cultural icon has been teasing a collab with fast-fashion brand Zara since his history-making Super Bowl LX halftime show, and most of us missed it.
At the big game, Zara and Benito teamed up to design the custom cream-colored outfit he wore during the show. The look featured a cropped, padded football jersey layered over a collared shirt and tie, paired with cropped chinos and chunky Adidas sneakers. It was the perfect mix of streetwear and formalwear, but also felt totally and completely Benito. Fast forward nearly a month, and the two collabbed again, this time for Bad Bunny's exquisitely campy Met Gala look, which saw him wearing a full face of prosthetics that made him appear 50 years older.

As for the tailoring, Benito rocked an all-black custom tuxedo by Zara and accessorized with a walking cane and vintage Cartier watch. You'd think we'd start picking up on the hint, but it wasn't until Zara officially announced the new Benito Antonio collection a week ago that we finally got the memo. It appears that Zara has found its latest muse. The 150-piece collection launched online and at select Zara locations worldwide on May 21, and spoiler alert, you're going to want everything.
Bad Bunny and Zara Team Up to Launch Limited Edition Benito Antonio CollectionCourtesy Zara
To bring the collection to life, Benito and Janthony Oliveras drew inspiration from Bad Bunny's Puerto Rican heritage and used it as a jumping-off point for designing each piece. The goal was to create a line of clothing that felt true to Bad Bunny's style as it exists today, and it definitely delivers. You can see that throughline in the way they approach refined, tailored pieces that still exude Benito's signature swagger.
Patchwork swim trunks made to be seen in, cropped hoodies and athleisure staples that positively ooze star power—honestly, we'll take one of everything. There are even several pieces emblazoned with the moment-making credo from the Benito Bowl, "The only thing more powerful than hate is love." How's that for making a statement? More than anything, what comes across from the limited-edition collection is an easy breezy vibe that's got Bad Bunny's fingerprints all over it.

Unsurprisingly, fans couldn't wait to shop the collection, with several pieces selling out almost instantly. On the bright side, Zara has already quietly restocked some of the pieces, so you should probably go ahead and place your order while you can. Just make sure to blast "NuevaYol" in the background while you shop.
So, whether you're selling out stadiums around the globe, making the kind of music that exists beyond the confines of genre, language and culture, or simply relaxing poolside this summer, the Benito Antonio x Zara collab has something for everyone.

With the official start of summer just around the corner, the days are getting longer and brighter. You might feel this transition inwardly, too, and find yourself craving lighter media to consume with the change of season. You’re in luck, because Prime Video has five fresh comedy titles debuting in June—just in time for summer binging.
School is out, and your workload might feel lighter, so there’s no better time to watch a brand new funny movie or revisit an old classic. From Amazon-exclusive titles to films you might’ve forgotten about (including two Steve Martincomedy hits), these movies are sure to have you laughing.

5. Heads of State (2025)U.S. President Will Derringer (John Cena) and U.K. Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Idris Elba) fight to thwart a global conspiracy in this Amazon original directed by Nobody (2021) helmer Ilya Naishuller. If you're looking for a fun, dumb, turn-your-brain-off comedy with thrilling action sequences, Heads of State does the job.
Universal Pictures
4. The Jerk (1979)It takes two comic geniuses (in this case, writer and star Steve Martin and director Carl Reiner) to invent a character as stupendously stupid as The Jerk’s Navin Johnson, a country boy who leaves home, joins the circus, gets rich, loses everything and still has no idea how any of it happened. The best bits of this hysterical, absurd comedy (“I don’t need anything!”, “I know we’ve only known each other for four weeks…”) were adapted directly from Martin’s standup routines.

While many people claim that the Steve Martin reboot of The Pink Panther isn't nearly as good as the original Peter Sellers series, it does have one thing that the earlier installments lack: Beyoncé. In the 2006 version, dimwitted Inspector Clouseau is in search of the Pink Panther diamond, which was stolen from Beyoncé's Xania. While the plot is a bit ridiculous, it's funny enough, and Beyoncé's song "Woman Like Me” is more than enough reason to watch.
2. Major Payne (1995)In this hit comedy film from Nick Castle, a hardened Marine Corps officer is suddenly discharged after being passed over for promotion. As he struggles to adapt to civilian life, he reluctantly agrees to a JROTC position in hopes of being reinstated into the military. But will his propensity for violence and tough love be enough to overcome the rebellious and unruly young cadets?
The film stars Damon Wayans (as Major Benson Winifred Payne), Karyn Parsons, Steven Martini and Michael Ironside.

1. Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)Another high-water mark for Monty Python is this endlessly quotable, micro-budgeted lampooning of King Arthur's quest for the Holy Grail. In 2011, Tom Bergeron and Cynthia McFadden hosted "Best in Film: The Greatest Movies of Our Time." This was a collaboration between People and ABC News to give film fans a chance to vote for their all-time favorites. Monty Python and the Holy Grail was named the second-best comedy ever, behind Airplane! If you’ve never seen it before, this is one movie you don’t want to miss!
Kate Middleton Is the Monarchy’s ‘Secret Weapon,’ Says Royal Reporter
While the royal family faces ongoing change and intense public attention, one royal reporter says Kate Middleton has emerged as one of the monarchy’s most trusted and essential figures.
The Princess of Wales brings a sense of stability and relatability to the House of Windsor that continues to resonate with the public. Her growing influence within the royal family has reportedly made her an increasingly important presence behind the scenes, particularly during the past six years, when the clan has undergone major upheavals. These include Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's exit, Queen Elizabeth's death, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's royal scandal, and cancer diagnosis for herself and King Charles.
Royal reporter Alicia Liberty for Express called Kate the "monarchy's secret weapon." That claim comes after comparisons to the late Princess Diana continue to surface in response to the women's similar effects on the public.
Liberty wrote in an op-ed, "Whether Kensington Palace likes it or not, Catherine occupies emotional territory once held by Princess Diana herself. The public adores her. Women trust her. Parents relate to her."

Kirsty O'Connor - WPA Pool/Getty ImagesThe royal reporter continued, "The institution feels safer with her standing beside William. And crucially, she understands something Harry and Meghan never seemed to grasp: royal relevance is built slowly through consistency, not endless reinventions and PR resets every six months."
RELATED: Kate Middleton Once Mistaken for Prince William’s Assistant —Her Clever Response
Liberty believes that, due to Kate's stabilizing force behind the scenes, there will be less interference from those looking to upend the royal apple cart, including any further attempts at reconciliation with Harry and Meghan. The reporter suggested the princess’s growing influence could help keep the royal family on a more steady and unified course moving forward. Her successful solo trip to Italy in May 2026 further highlighted her rising confidence and presence on the world stage.
"The problem comes when disagreements begin damaging reputations, destabilizing staff environments, and publicly humiliating the institution itself. That is why there is no way back for Harry and Meghan now. Not because of press headlines. Not because of public opinion polls. Not even because of King Charles," the royal expert claimed.
"Catherine no longer trusts them. And when the future Queen no longer trusts you the door quietly, but firmly, closes forever," Liberty concluded.
Kate Middleton has not responded publicly to any of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's claims against the royal family since they left their royal roles in 2020. Despite Harry's remarks that he would love reconciliation, there have been no public attempts by the royals to move forward within that relationship.

1981 Classic Written by Rock Legend Was Overshadowed by His Duet With Another Music Icon
In 1981, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers released a song that should have been a top hit.
“A Woman in Love (It’s Not Me)” was the second single from the band’s Hard Promises album. Written by Petty and guitarist Mike Campbell, the song opened with a sweeping synthesizer and featured emotional, reflective verses and an explosive chorus about an ex who had moved on.
Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench described the song as “brilliant” and “beautiful.”
“I like the way the track breathes,” he told Songfacts in an interview. “There is a lot of space, there are a lot of places where there's only drums, bass and one guitar playing with a vocal. I like the air in that song. I like the way that the beat picks up a little and then drops down in tempo and picks up for the chorus and then drops back down for the verses."
"I'm a huge fan of Tom's writing and Mike's writing," he added. "So it's a delight to be in the Heartbreakers because we just sit there and these beautiful, beautiful songs show up and you get to get your hands on them.”
In July 1981, Billboarddescribed “A Woman In Love” as the “most dramatic” song on the Hard Promises album, while Goldmine ranked it as one of five Petty songs that deserved to be on a greatest hits album.
But “A Woman in Love” was not a massive hit. It peaked at No. 79 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in August 1981, overshadowed by another song Petty wrote and performed on, but gave to Stevie Nicks.
Around the same time that “A Woman in Love” was released, Stevie Nicks released the song “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” The first single from the Fleetwood Mac songstress’s debut solo album, Bella Donna, was written by Petty and Campbell and given to Nicks after she repeatedly asked them for a song. Petty re-recorded the song as a duet with Nicks, and she released it in July 1981, just over a week after Petty’s “A Woman in Love” was released.
In essence, Petty ended up competing against his own song for chart placement—and “Stop Draggin’ My Heart around” won. The song went to No. 3 and became the biggest hit of all time for both Petty and Nicks as a solo artist.
While he was part of a massive hit, Petty wasn’t completely happy at the time. In the book Conversations With Tom Petty, he admitted he wished the two songs had been released farther apart.
"They came out roughly the same time, and Stevie's record was huge,” he recalled. “And so it was an awkward position for us because it was billed as 'Stevie Nicks With Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers,' and a lot of the radio programmers didn't want to have two Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers songs around the same period. Especially while one was getting this extreme amount of airplay. So it was a little awkward for us."
Petty also said that producer Jimmy Iovine, who was dating Nicks at the time, tried to calm him down.
“His comeback was like: 'This is gonna buy you a house,’” the rock legend said per Rhino. “But it pissed me off because it came out at the same time as our single ["A Woman in Love"], and I think ours suffered.”

4. Another Round (2020)- Coming to Netflix: June 4, 2026
The 2021 Oscar for Best International Film went to this Danish dramedy about a group of schoolteachers who decide to start drinking during work. 3. Bros (2022)- Coming to Netflix: June 2, 2026
Bros made history when it came out as one of the first gay romanticcomedies to be released by a major studio with an entirely LGBTQ principal cast. And while it's a super sweet love story between two men, played by Billy Eichner and Luke Macfarlane, it also happens to be a fairly raunchy R-rated comedy. Between threesomes and awkward Grindr hookups, it certainly gives viewers a peek into the sex lives of many gay men. And it's a very steamy peek.
Warner Bros. Pictures
2. Creed (2015)- Coming to Netflix: June 1, 2026
Growing up a fan of Sylvester Stallone's Rockymovies, Ryan Coogler pitched, wrote and directed this spinoff focusing on the son of Rocky Balboa's nemesis-turned-friend Apollo Creed, Adonis. Michael B. Jordan gives a tremendous performance as a son looking to reclaim his father's legacy, with Stallone turning in an Oscar-nominated performance as his grizzled coach. In the modern era of reboots, this is one of the handful that actually deserved to be made.

If you were a fan of the original Rocky movies, the sixth installment of the franchise is sure to impress! The film, written and directed by Sylvester Stallone, follows Rocky Balboa, an aging, widowed small-restaurant owner who lives a quiet life in Philadelphia. But after being challenged to an exhibition fight against a younger (undefeated) world champion, Rocky reluctantly accepts and begins training for the fight of a lifetime (with the help of Apollo Creed’s old trainer, Duke Evers).
Alongside Stallone, the film stars Burt Young and Antonio Tarver.

When it comes to timeless seating worth investing in, it’s tough to beat a faux leather accent chair. It instantly adds a polished, quiet-luxury feel to a room while still being practical enough for everyday use. One standout option is the Ora Maison Faux Leather Accent Chair with a foldable side table. It’s especially great for small spaces since the built-in foldable tray helps reduce extra furniture and clutter. Right now, it’s on sale for 40% off at Target, bringing the price down from $267 to just $160. For a piece that looks this elevated and functional, that’s an impressive deal.
Ora Maison Faux Leather Accent Chair with Foldable Side Table, $160 (was $267) at Target Shop at TargetThe chair is available as either a single chair or a set of two. It measures 34.7 inches high, 23.3 inches wide, and 30.3 inches deep, making it compact enough for apartments or smaller rooms while still feeling substantial and comfortable. Built with a sturdy wood frame and supportive legs, it safely holds up to 300 pounds and weighs about 42 pounds itself, giving it a solid, high-quality feel.
It currently comes in three versatile colors: beige, tan, and brown. Each option is fully upholstered in smooth faux leather that looks sleek and sophisticated while also being easy to style. The material stays cool and comfortable year-round, and the slightly matte finish helps it look more expensive than its price tag suggests.
Comfort is another major highlight. The chair features a 5.9-inch ultra-thick seat cushion with premium serpentine springs for supportive seating that won’t quickly sag over time. The tall backrest is angled at 105 degrees to better support your spine, making it especially comfortable for reading, relaxing, or sitting for long stretches while working from home or watching TV.
One of the most unique features is the hidden foldable side table built directly into the chair. The wooden tray folds out when needed and tucks away seamlessly when you’re done using it. It’s a smart, space-saving detail that makes the chair even more practical for small living rooms, apartments, bedrooms, or reading nooks. Having a spot for coffee, tea, wine, snacks, or a book without needing a separate side table makes relaxing feel even easier.

Faux leather is also incredibly low-maintenance compared to genuine leather. That makes this chair especially great for homes with pets, kids, or high-traffic living spaces where durability matters just as much as appearance.
This chair’s versatile design makes it easy to incorporate into nearly any interior style. It works beautifully with modern farmhouse, Scandinavian, industrial, minimalist, rustic, mid-century modern, and even boho-inspired spaces. You can place it in a living room conversation area, a bedroom corner, an entryway, or a home office for an instant style upgrade that still feels functional.
One shopper described it as “very elegant and comfortable,” adding, “It’s very easy to assemble. 5 Epic Things Disney Is Doing to Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary
If you're a Disney fan, you already know that the company’s roots are deeply intertwined with classic Americana. From the nostalgic, turn-of-the-century charm of Main Street, U.S.A. to the patriotic majesty of EPCOT’s American Adventure pavilion, a proud sense of optimism has been part of the company's DNA for more than a century.
So it should come as no surprise that The Walt Disney Company is going completely all-out for the country's upcoming semiquincentennial. Through a massive, cross-company initiative dubbed “Disney Celebrates America,” the brand is launching a series of emotional park expansions, historic exhibits and star-studded broadcasts running through the blockbuster July 4th holiday weekend.
As former Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Iger put it, “At its heart, America’s story is one of imagination, ambition and possibility—the same ideals that have guided Disney since the beginning. This celebration honors both a nation and a spirit that never stop dreaming about what’s next.”
If you're planning a park visit or tuning in from home, here are the coolest ways Disney is honoring the milestone:

View this post on Instagram 1. The Debut of 'Soarin’ Across America'The absolute biggest news for theme park ride enthusiasts is a brand-new, immersive flight experience coming to the parks. Dropping simultaneously at Disney California Adventure and EPCOT, Soarin’ Across America will take guests on a breathtaking, wind-in-your-hair aerial journey. The new attraction film will showcase the country’s most stunning natural wonders alongside its most iconic, historic cityscapes.
2. George W. Bush’s 'Portraits of Courage' Is ExtendedOver at EPCOT, the profoundly moving art exhibition, Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors, is officially being extended through the holiday weekend. The gallery features more than 60 vibrant oil paintings by former U.S. President George W. Bush, honoring the resilience of post-9/11 veterans.
Standing with his family to see his likeness on display, Marine Veteran Dave Smith shared, “To stand there with my family at Disney, looking at a portrait of me painted by a President of the United States, is incredibly humbling. I’m deeply honored—but more than anything, I’m grateful: grateful to have served, grateful to have healed, and grateful to share this moment with my family, knowing the best chapters of our lives are still being written.”

3. A Massive 24-Hour July 4th Mega-BroadcastIf you can't make it to the parks in person, Disney is bringing the party straight to your living room. The celebration will culminate on Independence Day weekend with a continuous, multi-platform broadcast led by World News Tonight anchor David Muir. Airing across ABC, Disney+, Hulu and ESPN, the daylong coverage will feature top historians, athletes and entertainers, wrapping up with a special live broadcast of the synchronized fireworks spectaculars over Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
4. A Heartfelt Salute on Main StreetThe parks are also heavily leaning into military traditions. Disneyland recently kicked off the celebrations by hosting over 100 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen for a moving flag retreat ceremony down Main Street, U.S.A., backed by one of the largest U.S. Navy bands to ever perform at the park. To top off the emotional afternoon, guests were treated to a thunderous flyover by U.S. Navy F/A-18E Super Hornets right over Sleeping Beauty Castle, while Mickey and Minnie debuted brand-new, patriotic ensembles.
5. The Tradition of Missing Hero TablesProving that every small detail matters, Disney is also using its culinary spaces to quiet the noise and honor fallen service members. Throughout the holiday weekends, guests will find powerful Missing Hero Tables displayed at iconic restaurants like Tiana’s Palace. Each element of the empty table setting carries a deep symbolic meaning—from a single rose honoring their sacrifice to a slice of lemon and salt representing the bitter fate of those missing in action—ensuring that the true legacy of the country's defenders is never forgotten.

Your Current Retirement Strategy Might Not Survive the 2026 Inflation Surge
The April 2026 report from the Bureau of Economic Analysis is out. And while you may need a degree in finance to understand what it means (or at least be very familiar with reading the details of these types of reports), experts say that there's something important retirees should be taking away from the latest figures.
Keep reading to find out what two finance pros say about the Personal Income and Outlays report, including what retirees and those who are about to retire need to know.
Everyday Finances Are Under Pressure in This EconomyThe report showed that the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index has risen .4 percent in April, which was up 3.8 percent from a year ago. Additionally, the report says that the core PCE rose .2 percent for the month and 3.3 percent over the past year. "That means that prices on a monthly basis are still rising, but not at an extreme pace; and energy and food costs helped push overall (headline) inflation higher," according to Beth Ann Bovino, Chief Economist of U.S. Bank. "But core inflation on a year-over-year basis remains sticky, and far from the Fed’s inflation target of 2 percent."
Bovino went on to say that the picture was still "relatively steady" for consumers, but that everyday finances are under pressure, since Americans' disposable income has dipped by 0.1 percent. "After inflation, real disposable income fell .5 percent, which means purchasing power weakened during the month," Bovino explains.
In short, many people are feeling the squeeze, and although they may not have cut back on spending yet, they are either dipping into savings or have cut back on how much money they are putting aside each month for emergencies, paying down debt, or retirement.

What Does This Report Mean for RetireesTom Buckingham, Chief Growth Officer at Nassau Financial Group, says the report highlights why it's important for retirees to have "sustainable income" once they retire. "This report is a reminder that even as inflation begins to ease somewhat, retirees are still feeling the impact of higher everyday costs, especially healthcare, housing, and meeting other basic needs," according to Buckingham. "For people nearing retirement, the bigger question is no longer just how much they have saved; it is whether they have a plan to create a dependable income for what could be a 25- or 30-year retirement."
Bovino says the practical takeaway for retirees from the report is not to panic, but to continue paying close attention to their budgets, portfolio withdrawals, and cash reserves. "This report does not call for a dramatic change in retirement strategy, but it does reinforce a few important principles for people nearing retirement," she says. "With income growth softening and inflation still elevated, people nearing retirement may want to focus on building flexibility into their plans rather than assuming costs will quickly normalize."

What Does This Mean for Those Close to RetirementFor those close to retirement, Bovino says this is a reminder to stress-test a plan against a period of higher, longer-term living costs. "That can mean maintaining an adequate emergency fund, reviewing expected health care and housing expenses carefully, and being thoughtful about the pace of withdrawals once retirement begins," she says. "The fact that the saving rate fell to 2.6 percent suggests many households have less room for error than they did previously."
In short, she says it doesn't mean you need to start saving differently, but that you need to save with more awareness and a larger margin, keeping expectations realistic and making sure your "retirement income plan can handle inflation that is cooling only gradually rather than disappearing quickly."

Becky Jenkinson’s Magical Debut Adds to the Beauty With Hand-Drawn Floral Sketches
Once upon a time, you’d pick up a book just to read it. The experiences have become more and more immersive, and the whimsical and magical debut from Becky Jenkinson, Wildflower, proves just that.
Available on shelves on June 16, 2026, this new fantastical tale takes us into the world of woods, floral masterpieces, and curses. However, it’s the pages at the start of each chapter that are going to help create more of an immersive experience.
Each chapter starts with a hand-drawn flower, tree, or something connected to nature. Some of these flowers are ones that you may not even see in your own back garden, with the likes of cinquefoil and snapdragon used in earlier chapters.
Wildflower is Jenkinson’s heartwarming debut, which is perfect for the start of summer, which officially starts just days after the book’s release, and it’s one that will bring warmth and magic as the summer draws to a close and the days start to get shorter.
Courtesy of Del Ray BooksWe follow Felicity “Fliss” Farrow, a magical florist who has lived with a curse since she was born. She can only tell the truth, and fortunately, she doesn’t decide to go into law like in Liar Liar. Instead, she ventures into the wild woods, aiming to fulfill anonymous requests for rare flowers.
That’s when she meets Willoh Vane, an outcast sorcerer who ends up creating an unlikely bond with her. After all, he’s the enemy of her best friend, and you would think that makes them enemies as well. Instead, Will wants to help Fliss understand the true nature of the curse that was once put on her.
There’s another reason they’re teaming up, as well. There’s a threat against their home, and they need to stop it before everything they know and love is destroyed.
If you grew up reading fairy tales, this is an immersive read perfect for you. Wildflower will be released on June 16, 2026, and it has to be on your summer list.
