If you're a human being and you've been to any kind of party, dance or wedding, chances are you're more than familiar with "Mony Mony." The classic track was a hit not once, but twice...and the second time it topped the charts, "Mony Mony" spawned a raunchy call-and-response trend that was so popular, it ended up getting banned.

Originally released as a single in 1968 on the Tommy James & the Shondells album of the same name, "Mony Mony" was a huge success in the U.S., where it peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and an even bigger triumph in the U.K., where it went all the way to #1.

Not too bad for a song that was initially "pasted together," as James explained in a 2009 interview with Songfacts.

"Originally, we did the track without a song," James said. "The idea was to create a party rock record, and in 1968 that was pretty much a throwback to the early '60s. Nobody was making party rock records really in 1968. There were a few, Archie Bell and the Drells kind of did something with 'Tighten Up' and stuff like that, but nobody was doing those big-drum-California-sun-what-I-sing-money-type songs. So we went in the studio, and we pasted this thing together out of drums here, and a guitar riff here. It was called sound surgery, and we finally put it together in probably a month."

"We had most of the words to the song, but we still had no title," he continued. "And it's just driving us nuts, because we're looking for like a 'Sloopy' or some crazy name — it had to be a two-syllable girl's name that was memorable and silly and kind of stupid sounding. So, we knew what kind of a word we had, it's just that everything we came up with sounded so bad. So, Ritchie Cordell, my songwriting partner and I, are up in my apartment up at 888 Eighth Avenue in New York. And finally we get disgusted, we throw our guitars down, we go out on the terrace, we light up a cigarette, and we look up into the sky. And the first thing our eyes fall on is the Mutual of New York Insurance Company. M-O-N-Y. True story. With a dollar sign in the middle of the O, and it gave you the time and the temperature."

"I had looked at this thing for years, and it was sitting there looking me right in the face," James added. "We saw this at the same time, and we both just started laughing. We said, 'That's perfect! What could be more perfect than that?' Mony, M-O-N-Y, Mutual of New York. We must have laughed for about ten minutes, and we finally go in — and that became the title of the song."

Nearly 20 years later, Billy Idol brought "Mony Mony" back to the top of the charts with his live cover, which became his first and only #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1987.

Of course, the song quickly became a go-to for DJs looking to get the party started. Somewhere along the way, fans developed a call-and-response chant that was (and still is) frequently shouted, with great enthusiasm, during breaks in the song: "Hey, say what, get laid, get f—d!"

Unfortunately for school administrators across the country, the chant became a particularly beloved tradition at high school dances, leading to bans at many schools, according to Ultimate Classic Rock.

In 1989, the Chicago Tribune interviewed Griff Powell, superintendent of Grayslake Community High School, where students protested against "Mony Mony" being banned at the prom.

”Look, I remember when protests were against the war in Vietnam, and for civil rights," Powell said. "And I've been watching the situation in China, and what those students in Beijing were standing up for. Somehow, I just can`t get my heart into being upset about whether 'Mony Mony' should be allowed at the prom.”

High school bans didn't stop Idol from incorporating the chant into an updated version of the song, released in 2018.

Filter fans may have finally found their antidote. After teasing new material for months, frontman Richard Patrick has just confirmed that new music is indeed on the way, and it’s expected to arrive in early 2027.  

In a new interview with Rocking With Jam Man, transcribed by Blabbermouth, Patrick offered a glimpse into what’s next for Filter, a band whose catalog has long blended industrial edge, crushing riffs, and constant evolution.

“Filter is evolving in a way that it's a gorgeous ever-changing thing, and I'm very proud of it,” Patrick said, adding that the tentatively titled forthcoming album, The Antidote, is “kind of similar to TheAlgorithm. That's why I called it The Antidote.”

Filter released The Algorithm in 2023. Their eighth studio album, it served as a conceptual statement of the band’s evolution. Filter released an expanded version of the album two years later with The Algorithm: Ultra Edition, which included reimagined cuts, reinterpretations of track, and a few covers. 

“It's heavy sounding, but it's also beautiful and light in certain areas,” he said of The Antidote. “Just like all the other Filter records, there's that moment of brightness on it sonically. So, it's a gorgeous record. I'm really proud of it. It's gonna come out hopefully early next year.”

Founded in 1993 by the former Nine Inch Nails touring guitarist, Filter shared the ’90s soundscape with bands blending heavy grunge, alternative rock, and electronic-laced industrial music, with Filter's own signature caustic, metallic aggression rising to the top. 

Making their debut with Short Bus in 1995, Filter won a following with hits including “Hey Man, Nice Shot,” “Dose,” and “So Cool,” before winning over critics with their acclaimed Title of Record in 1999, on which “Take a Picture” and “Welcome to the Fold” take center stage. 

“Filter is the most fun [of all my projects],” Patrick said, “because it is just a complete and total reflection of how I feel on a daily basis. I wake up and I’m mad, I get to write an angry Filter song. If I’m happy, I can write something a little bit more beautiful. … That’s why I love Filter as my ultimate baby. It’s my band. It’s a child of mine.”

With The Antidote, Patrick said he’s bringing that same intensity, creativity, and versatility to the record, ensuring that the track list will pull from every era of Filter. 

“I would hope that the audience gets everything they want from a Filter record,” he said.

Teasing more from the album, Patrick name-dropped The Antidote’s first track. “Snakes in the Grass,” he said, sounds like a fusion of Short Bus and a sequencer, but leans into the band’s heavier sound. It’s a song the band has been playing live for the past couple weeks. 

Though not on an official tour, Filter is making stops around the nation, with support from era-defining bands like Tool, The Prodigy, Toadies, and Sublime. Dates and ticket information can be found here.

If there was one band in all of rock history that was most qualified to write a road trip anthem, it would have to be the Grateful Dead. Not only were their live concerts so iconic that scores of Deadheads followed them around the country as a way of life, but they toured pretty much incessantly: Between the mid-1960s and the mid-1990s, they played an estimated 2300 shows.

Of course, there were plenty of misadventures along the way. One of those unexpected detours inspired "Truckin'," originally released as a single from the classic album American Beauty in 1970.

"In the spring of 1970, the hardest thing about touring was getting up in the morning," the late Bob Weir recalled in a 2017 interview with the Wall Street Journal. "We were young and full of fun, and we didn’t go to bed real early. We were on the road a lot, and our nightly 'celebrations' probably made touring more difficult than it had to be. But that was the name of the game for us."

As Weir went on to explain, Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter occasionally traveled with the band in those days. One day in March 1970, Hunter pulled a lyric sheet from his luggage with the title "Truckin'" at the top and handed it to Jerry Garcia.

"Jerry liked what he read, and we planned to work on the music as soon as we had some down time," Weir continued, adding, "At first, the meaning of Hunter’s lyric was a mystery to us. But the words became clear the more we read them. For example, Hunter included our New Orleans incident two months earlier in January."

The infamous "New Orleans incident" involved local police officers searching the band members' rooms while they were playing a gig in the city finding their "stash."

"A bunch of us were arrested, but a settlement was reached," Weir said.

It wasn't until later that month that the band finally had a chance to work on the music for the song.

"We were booked to play a theme park in Dania Beach, Fla., called Pirates World," Weir said. "At our motel, we had the afternoon off, so the band sat by the pool. I don’t believe Hunter was there...The writing of the song took us only about 2½ hours, if that."

The rest, as they say, is rock history. "Truckin'" went on to become one of the Grateful Dead's signature songs; in fact, it was played over 500 times live. And all these years later, it's still the perfect addition to any road trip playlist. Like Garcia sings on the track...what a long, strange trip it's been.

The global momentum is currently reflected in chart performance, per FIFA's recent news release. The Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album has generated 336 million streams, ranked at a standout number three on Spotify’s Top Albums Debut global chart between June 5 and 7. Plus, the Shakira and Burna Boy hit "Dai Dai" currently ranks 10th among Spotify’s Top 50 global tracks.

In addition to "Dai Dai," the songs "DNA" (by Andrea Bocelli, David Guetta, Megan Thee Stallion and EJAE) and "Game Time" (by Future and Tyla) are currently featured on Shazam’s Global Top 200 among the top 20 most-discovered tracks worldwide this week.

Across video platforms, the Official Album is continuing to drive engagement, generating 364 million views on YouTube across its 19 music videos and visualizers. "Dai Dai" and "Champions" (by IShowSpeed) rank Nos. 1 and 2 on YouTube’s Top 100 Music Videos Global chart this week, per FIFA.

“Around the world, fans are not only celebrating the FIFA World Cup on the pitch, but singing and dancing to it as well,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino in a statement. “The incredible success of FIFA Sound, as it climbs the world’s charts and resonates across every continent, shows how this tournament has become a global celebration of football, music and culture.”

Rod Stewart's recent health struggles appear to be lingering.

The 81-year-old rock icon experienced a frightening moment during a concert in West Valley City, Utah, on Friday night, where, according to fan footage, he required oxygen after nearly fainting while performing.

Video obtained by TMZ shows Stewart appearing unsteady throughout portions of the show at Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre on June 19. While singing his hit “Young Turks,” the singer leaned on instruments, stage barriers, and a pole for support as he continued performing for fans.

Despite the obvious discomfort, Stewart pushed through the performance. After the song finished, crew members brought an oxygen tank onto the stage, allowing Stewart to take several deep breaths before continuing. 

After taking a few puffs, Stewart managed to joke with the crowd about the situation. In the video, the singer told concertgoers “the show must go on” after he had "nearly fainted," prompting both concern and laughter from the audience. He later finished the concert seated in a chair.

Stewart was forced to postpone multiple performances due to ongoing health issues as of late. Earlier this month, the singer canceled a scheduled show in Chula Vista, California, at the last minute after being diagnosed with an acute upper respiratory infection that resulted in laryngitis weeks earlier. He then canceled two more shows at the Red Rocks Amphitheater on June 15 and 16.

“Following examinations at Colorado Voice Clinic this afternoon, Dr. David Opperman has prescribed strict vocal rest for Rod Stewart, necessitating the postponement of his June 15 and June 16 performances,” the caption of a post on Red Rocks’ Instagram read.

His recent health setbacks also sparked debate among fans after he shared footage of himself boarding a private jet to attend a World Cup match less than a day after canceling the California show. While some followers questioned the timing, others pointed out that traveling to watch a soccer game is very different from performing for two hours on stage.

Stewart is currently on the North American leg of his One Last Time tour, which he has described as his farewell to large-scale touring. According to his team, all canceled shows will be rescheduled.

Long before Tracy Chapman won a Grammy Award for her era-defining hit "Give Me One Reason," the singer introduced audiences to the classic anthem on an episode of Saturday Night Live. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's reported wedding celebration is continuing to generate buzz as the guest list slowly comes into focus. The latest speculation comes as the pop superstar celebrates yet another career milestone after breaking a Billboard Hot 100 record tied to a new Toy Story movie.

According to a report from TMZ, singer Sombr is expected to attend the couple's July 3 celebration at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The rising artist has become part of Swift's inner circle in recent months after performing during her Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony and spending time with the singer following a New York Knicks game.

Previously lost film footage of The Beatles performing on the BBC’s Top Of The Pops has reportedly been found and will be restored.

The band pre-recorded an appearance on the classic British music show on 19 March 1964 for performances of ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ and its B-side ‘You Can’t Do That.' The song was released as a single the following day and went on to be their fourth UK Number One.

Many episodes of Top Of The Pops have now been lost in time, often because the BBC regularly wiped and reused tapes. However, the film preservation group Film Is Fabulous has revealed that they were presented with a 35mm BBC negative of the performance at the recent British Film Collectors’ Convention in Surrey.

 If successfully restored, this would be the oldest surviving footage of the quartet on the weekly British music show, which ran between 1964 and 2004.

The group claimed that the family of a deceased former industry professional had passed the film on to them, and that they would work to restore the footage. They hope to be able to give the final results to the BBC.

“Discussions will also be held with other parts of the corporation to ensure the content is made available to a wide audience,” Film Is Fabulous wrote on their Facebook page.

“Recorded on the 19th March 1964, at the BBC’s Television Theatre (since renamed The Shepherd’s Bush Empire), in London, the inserts beautifully captured the Fab Four at the height of Beatlemania,” the preservationists wrote on their social media.

“Passages of the recording show the studio, the technicians, and the make-up ladies. There were four takes of the first song, ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’, with two being aborted because of technical errors. During breaks, the Beatles openly joked, and could be seen dancing to amuse themselves.”

Snippets of the performance on 8mm have previously been unearthed, but are very grainy and difficult to watch. Hopefully, this new footage will show the performance in better detail.

Few rock songs are as emotionally charged — or as personally complicated — as “Layla,” the Derek and the Dominos epic born out of an impossible love triangle involving Eric Clapton, George Harrison, and Pattie Boyd.

More than 55 years later, the song remains one of rock’s most enduring anthems, still drawing new generations of listeners to both its sound and extraordinary backstory. 

What began as a short-lived supergroup quickly became the backdrop for one of rock’s most famous real-life love stories set to music.

Formed in the spring of 1970, Derek and the Dominos was closely tied to sessions for George Harrison’s album, All Things Must Pass. But beyond just musical chemistry, Clapton and the former Beatle had been close friends since the '60s. So close that Clapton fell deeply in love with Harrison’s wife at the time, Pattie Boyd. It’s that unrequited love that inspired Clapton to write “Layla.”

Released in November 1970 as the title track from the band’s debut album, “Layla” is an emotional roller coaster that kicks off with a blazing guitar riff and aggressive, deeply painted plea of unrequited love before melting into a haunting, melancholic piano exit in the second half. 

Because “Pattie” would have been too on the nose, Clapton went with “Layla” after reading The Story of Layla and Majnun, a 7th-century Arabic legend about a man driven insane over his love for an unattainable beauty.

“I wasn't so happy when Eric wrote ‘Layla,’ while I was still married to George,” Boyd said in a 2008 interview with The Guardian, via Songfacts. “I felt I was being exposed. I was amazed and thrilled at the song -- it was so passionate and devastatingly dramatic -- but I wanted to hang on to my marriage.” 

According to American Songwriter, the tension came to a dramatic head with a “guitar duel” at Harrison’s estate, with the two trading blistering solos in front of Boyd as a way of expressing what neither could, or would, say outright. But Clapton’s ploys didn’t work -- at least, not at first. 

Spiraling into a dark depression compounded by heroin addiction, Clapton went on three-year self-imposed exile, per Gold Radio. In 1973, he resurfaced, and not long after, Boyd and Harrison split, freeing her to be with Clapton. The two were married in 1979 with Harrison’s blessing.

“Eric made this public declaration of love,” Boyd said. “I resisted his attention for a long time — I didn't want to leave my husband. But obviously when things got so excruciatingly bad for George and me, it was the end of our relationship. We both had to move on.”

As for the song, “Layla” remains a proud moment for Clapton, despite being tied to some dark times. According to Louder’s Classic Rock, he’s “incredibly proud” of the song.

“To have ownership of something that powerful is something I’ll never be able to get used to. It still knocks me out when I play it,” he said. 

On the charts, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs did well for a debut, peaking at No. 16. Supergirl (2026) is coming at you straight from space—and from James Gunn and Peter Safran'sDC Universe reboot.

Kara Zor-El first appeared in a Superman (2025) cameo (more on that below to avoid spoilers!), and her story continues from there.

While Superman—who was raised on Earth by the loving, cornfed Kent family—is earnest and sees (or tries to see!) the best in everyone, in Supergirl, Safran says, Kara has "been through some s**t" that makes her into a "super tough" character. Coping with grief and an identity crisis, Supergirl is struggling. That's part of what got Milly Alcock the part: She resonated with the character's trauma.

 “My personal experience of being Milly mirrored Kara’s experience, which was ‘Hide. Run away. Pretend it’s not happening,'” Alcock previously told Variety. “And then you have to face it to heal a part of yourself that you’ve been neglecting ... Pain is a universal feeling. I was able to connect with that pretty instantly. And that was the thing that would ground me in her.”

Fear not, though, because the movie is far from just doom and gloom. Reportedly inspired by True Grit, there's still also a lot of fun in the film, thanks to the reappearance of mischievous superdog Krypto and Jason Momoa as Lobo, a motorcycle-riding space bounty hunter who gives few Fs about anything beyond getting paid and having a good time.

Is there a Supergirl movie coming?

Yes, and this mediocre writer is seated.

Gunn and Safran announced Supergirl in January 2023 as part of its first phase of the DCU slate, "Chapter One: Gods and Monsters." In a statement, Gunn described Supergirl as "a big science fiction epic film" and noted that this version of Kara Zor-El would be more "hardcore" than any that have previously made it to screens. The source material, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, makes that clear—more on that in the sections below!

Supergirl the character will also appear in the Superman sequel Superman: Man of Tomorrow, slated for a 2027 release.

Alcock recently revealed she was scared to audition to star in the DC Studios franchise because it would be her first project that didn't film in her native Australia, but the casting directors and Gunn knew she nailed it.

“Everybody had tears in their eyes,” executive producer Chantel Nong gushed to Variety. “She wears her heart on her sleeve; she brings so much emotion to the role. We all looked at each other and said, ‘This is absolutely perfect. She’s exactly what we want.’”

About a week and a half later, Gunn emailed Alcock with the good news: She got it.

“I looked at myself in the mirror, and I was like, ‘Who am I to turn down this opportunity?'” Alcock recalled. “I knew that it was what I needed to do, because it scared me. And I thought, ‘Well, I get one big, bad, beautiful life. Why not f—ing go for it?’”

The Supergirl TV series ended its run in November 2021. Being able to trust ourselves helps in so many situations: tackling a major project at work, determining if your partner is being subtly manipulative and making major life decisions (especially if they come with risks) are just a few. But what does self-trust look like, why exactly is it helpful, what makes it hard to practice and how can we continue to increase it?

Self-trust is essentially believing in ourselves and what we know to be true, whether it’s a fact or intuition. It’s the opposite of self-gaslighting. It asks us to overcome self-doubt and low self-esteem, reminding ourselves of what we know and can handle.

And, it’s easier said than done. Faith in yourself is something that has to be built and practiced over time. We’ll slip up and question ourselves here and there, even when we have self-confidence—that’s normal.

Ahead, a psychologist answers the rest of your questions. She explains why self-assurance is so important, what can make it difficult, what people who trust themselves do differently and how to believe in yourself more if you’re not quite there yet. 

In short, if you don’t feel like you fully trust yourself or know your worth, try not to get too down: It’s something you can attain, and other people are proof.

Why Is Self-Trust Important?

Simply put, self-trust is the base for confidence and emotional resilience, two things we need throughout life.

“People who have self-trust can make decisions on their own without having to be told by others that what they are doing is correct,” Dr. Shannon Franklin, PsyD, a licensed psychologist with Element Q Healing, tells Parade. “Individuals who believe in themselves will typically take healthier risks, bounce back when faced with adversity and be more consistent with the core values of themselves.”

That might look like starting a business, not feeling too beaten down by a rejection or standing confidently in the face of criticism, just to name a few examples.

What Makes Self-Trust Difficult?

As great as having trust in yourself sounds, it’s not always easy. The difficulties it comes with can stem from past experiences that cause you to question your judgment. 

“Trauma may be an example of this, as well as ongoing failure and/or ongoing relationship(s) which continually dismiss your opinion,” Dr. Franklin shares.

She adds that perfectionism can also interfere with self-confidence and one’s ability to make good choices. A perfectionist might focus so much on making the “perfect” decision or handling something “perfectly” that they don’t do the thing at all, or they procrastinate on it.

People Who Trust Themselves Do These 7 Things Differently, According to a Psychologist

Dr. Franklin shares what “self-trusters” do differently. Do you identify with any of these or want to embody any of them more?

1. They don’t overthink before making a decision

People with self-trust know that making a decision can be scary, and they're going to make it anyway—without wasting time. 

“There is no perfect way to know everything, and therefore, they do not want to be paralyzed by doubt,” Dr. Franklin states.

2. They look at their value systems

Knowing your values and being confident in them are key to self-trust. 

“When making decisions based on input from other sources, they will still follow their internal compass,” Dr. Franklin says.

Examples of core values include hard work, authenticity, forgiveness, humility, curiosity and knowledge, but there are tons more.

3. They grow from mistakes

People who trust themselves are like everyone else in that they’ve made mistakes before—they just handle the aftermath differently. They reframe setbacks “as an opportunity to learn and develop,” according to Dr. Franklin. 

“This mindset prevents them from viewing failures or mistakes as evidence of inability,” she explains.

4. They establish and maintain appropriate boundaries

Keeping their values top of mind, self-trusting people are OK with saying “no” when something doesn’t align. 

“Individuals who practice self-reliance respect their emotional experiences and limitations as much as anyone else would,” Dr. Franklin says.

5. They take action despite uncertainty

Dr. Franklin clarifies that believing in yourself doesn’t necessarily require being certain about everything (But really, can we ever be sure about anything?)

“It simply requires trusting one’s ability to respond to unexpected events and adapt when the outcome isn’t expected,” she continues. 

For example, they know they can find ways to deal with disappointment and create a “Plan B” (or even “Plan C”) if necessary.

6. They're better at recovering from criticism

People who trust themselves still listen to constructive comments; they just don’t let them determine their worth. 

“Individuals can assess the validity of the comment(s) without diminishing their faith in themselves,” Dr. Franklin says.

7. They seek fewer assurances

Having supportive relationships is important for all of us, “self-trusters” included. The difference is that people with self-trust don’t need others’ approval to make a decision. 

Rather, they “trust their abilities to analyze and decide for themselves whether an option should be pursued,” Dr. Franklin says.

How To Trust Yourself More

To build self-trust, Dr. Franklin encourages the following: 

• Keep a few simple promises to yourself.
• Recognize how your decision-making leads to good things.
• Reflect upon successful experiences you’ve had in the past, and let that increase your belief in your ability to make wise decisions.
• Gradually make small commitments with less reliance on others’ encouragement.

Learning to trust yourself is a journey that takes time and effort. You’re going to “slip” at times, and that doesn’t mean you can’t achieve self-trust or that you don’t deserve it. Trust us on that.

Jeff Probst just revealed a surprising potential successor to him as the host of Survivor.

In an interview with The Wrap published on Monday, June 15, Probst was asked to make a short list of Survivor contestants who could possibly host the show someday.

"Because the mistake made is the observation that somebody’s hosting the show, therefore you should get a host. The observation’s correct: Somebody is hosting the show. The conclusion that you should get a host is the fallacy. You need a producer who can host. I was never just a host."

Probst has been hosting Survivor since its first season in 2000. In 2003, he joined the production team as a producer and was later bumped to executive producer and show runner in 2010 ahead of Survivor: Nicaragua.

"I would say you have to find somebody who knows story. The job of a host on a show like Survivor is you have to be able to know when a moment is unfolding and how to nurture it or grab it or get out of the way," he continued. "That’s a different skill than having the right shirt and a good haircut and somebody in your ear saying, 'Remember, the opening phrase is, Welcome to Survivor!’ That’s irrelevant. What’s more relevant is who do I want to talk to right now? Who has the more interesting story?"

Probst then answered the question, and instead of naming popular fan picks like Rick Devens or Boston Rob Mariano, he pointed to someone who is still completely unknown to viewers.

"Names get thrown around. I’m not trying to avoid your question, but I really don’t have an answer," he said. "You know, every so often I meet a player … There’s actually somebody in Season 51 that in casting, I think I said to them, 'You could probably host this show,' meaning your instincts as a storyteller and about people are so good that you could probably sit in this chair and you’d be just fine."

Travis Kelce has been making the most of his offseason, recently spending time in Los Angeles after a stretch that included a return to Ohio and some of the Cleveland restaurants and local spots he still holds dear. But it was his latest outing that had fans smiling.

According to a report by People, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end joined DJ Chris Lake onstage during the musician's June 19 concert at Los Angeles State Historic Park, where he danced, grabbed the microphone, and enthusiastically hyped up the crowd when a remix featuring a nod to his fiancée, Taylor Swift, came on.

Fan videos shared on social media showed Kelce dancing both on and off the stage throughout the evening. Dressed in a blue checkered overshirt and red hat, the 36-year-old NFL star appeared to be having the time of his life.

At one point, Lake handed Kelce a microphone while introducing a remix featuring a nod to the athlete's fiancée, Taylor Swift.

As the music played, Kelce jumped up and down while urging the crowd to get into the moment. "I know y'all feel it," he shouted before encouraging concertgoers to "lose your f---ing minds."

Other clips showed the tight end dancing alongside Lake behind the DJ booth and even wielding a bubble gun, sending bubbles toward the crowd, stage crew, and fellow performers.

The Couple Has Been Spending Plenty of Time Together

The concert appearance came during Kelce's stay in Los Angeles, where he was also scheduled to tape a live episode of New Heights with brother Jason Kelce.

According to People, Kelce had just flown to California after supporting Swift at the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York. He reportedly left Chiefs minicamp early to attend the event, where Swift became the youngest woman ever inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The couple, who announced their engagement in August 2025, have continued to make headlines with recent date nights and public appearances.

But it was Kelce's reaction to hearing a Taylor Swift-inspired remix that had fans swooning, with the NFL star enthusiastically embracing the moment and making it clear he's still his fiancée's biggest cheerleader.

Love Island USA votes are never easy. The islanders give different reasons for keeping certain people on the show. Week 3 put the cast in a hard position after America voted for their favorite couples.

Episode 15 revealed the two islanders who were dumped from the island. The men picked a woman from the bottom three couples, and the women picked a man from the bottom three couples. They had different methods to determine who should be dumped and fans were confused by the "lustful" reason given.

Who Was Dumped From 'Love Island USA' on June 19?

The women picked Gabriel Vasconcelos to be dumped from the island, which shocked the men. He was previously coupled up with newcomer Jen Terry. They were affectionate during their short time together. Jen said she had feelings for Gabe. The men said they saved her because she was with him, and now she'll be single.

"My experience in the villa was great," Gabe told the camera. "I'm just surprised. I think they didn't understand that we're here to find our best connection. In my opinion, I did it."

The islanders talked more about the decision after saying goodbye to Gabriel and Jen. Aniya Harvey explained that Caleb McDaniel didn't get a chance since America coupled him up with Kenzie Annis, who went back to Corbin Mims.

"You're doing this all because of 'lust,'" KC Chandler said in a confessional. "We kiss each other every f---ing day. We're slapping each other's a--es, and we're doing all this stuff, but you're talking about lust. Are we not all lustful in this motherf---er?"

It seemed like the women didn't take Gabriel seriously since he started off with Beatriz Hatz. He later talked to Jen and Sol Dean and kissed them. The islanders wondered if he would do this again. The men didn't agree with the reasoning, and some fans agreed.

A Reddit user created a thread addressing the "lustful" comment. "All these comments about people being 'lustful' is getting out of hand [in my opinion]," the post read. "This is love island, hasn’t this show always been about lust? I mean they’re literally sucking toes in challenges and then shaming others for wanting physical affection. Is there really something wrong with someone wanting to kiss or get freaky with someone they’re partnered up with?"

A commenter believed it was a strategy. "It’s just [because] this cast is playing the game differently," someone wrote. "They coupled up quickly and want to treat the game like they’re already in deeper relationships. So being lustful is negative to them [because] it doesn’t show loyalty to the couple."

Previous seasons showed islanders taking more risks with bombshells. "Anyone who thinks Kenzie or Gabe are a problem would have died over the early seasons of UK," a fan wrote.

"The show is too meta," someone else claimed. "They're saving their images to have sponsorships and make sure they're [cast] on [Beyond the Villa]. Its a very boring cast."

The episode ended with the tease of Casa Amor. The men and women will be split into different villas with new cast members. They'll couple up with them and, in the end, choose either to return to the villa in hopes of finding their original partner or to bring back someone from casa.

This might be a sign that the women won't explore. But it wouldn't be the first time that Casa Amor gave us some surprises.

Jennifer Aniston is remembering one of the most important figures in her career.

The actress took to Instagram on Saturday, June 20, to pay tribute to legendary television director James Burrows, who died at age 85 on June 19.

Alongside a collection of photos spanning their decades-long friendship, Aniston shared an emotional message reflecting on the impact he had on her both on and off screen.

"Oh boy… 💔 Papa Burrows," she began the caption. 

To her, Burrows was much more than the man who directed some of television's most beloved sitcoms, including Friends, Cheers, Frasier, and Will & Grace. She described him as a mentor and father figure.

"He was a father figure to me. He always checked in on me. He worried about me, celebrated me, taught me, guided me, and held me through the hardest times and the best of times," she wrote. Aniston also reflected on the family atmosphere Burrows created among the casts he worked with over the years. "He called us his 'kids,'" she shared, recalling how he would often ask, "Where are the kids?" and "Let's see if the kids can make the joke work."

The actress credited Burrows with teaching lessons that extended far beyond television. "Most of all, he taught us—the kids—how important it is to love and respect one another. To take care of each other. To have each other's backs and support each other, no matter what."

The emotional tribute concluded with Aniston reflecting on what she'll miss most. "I miss your voice. I miss your laugh. I miss your brilliance."

Aniston famously played the beloved Rachel Green in the sitcom for 10 years. And she wasn't the only Friends star to honor Burrows following the news of his passing.

Matt LeBlanc shared photos with the director and wrote, "Jimmy, words cannot describe the impact and influence you had on us and everyone who was lucky enough to have known you."

David Schwimmer also paid tribute, praising Burrows for how he "brought out the best in every actor he ever worked with, and elevated every show he directed, making it funnier and more moving than anyone expected."

Burrows' family confirmed that the legendary director died on Friday at the age of 85 following a battle with cancer. Over a career spanning more than five decades, he helped shape some of television's most beloved comedies, earning 11 Emmy Awards and directing more than 1,000 episodes of television.

President Donald Trump is making over Washington, D.C., piece by piece. Along with paving over the White House Rose Garden and turning it into a patio lined with roses, attempting to rename the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and renovating the East Wing ballroom, the commander in chief also set his sights on the National Mall’s Reflecting Pool. 

Last April, the President posted on Truth Social, “Starting the final phase of Renovation that was supposed to cost 301 Million Dollars, and take three years, and was instead done, with the help of Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, and his entire Department, and a much better result — 2 Million Dollars in one week!”

While Trump initially pitched his new project as a major improvement that would transform the Reflecting Pool into a bright, shining ‘American flag blue’ hue, something went horribly wrong. Instead of crystal-clear water, the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is plagued by a persistent algae problem and peeling blue material.

On Friday, Trump took to Truth Social again, posting his take on the unsightly issue: “We’ve had some real problems with Vandalism at the beautiful Reflecting Pool, which sits between The Washington Monument and The Lincoln Memorial. Just like three days ago, they destroyed the grass outside of the Pool, they’ve also done everything possible to hurt the inside surface that was just installed.”

Trump continued, “No different than the chemicals that were used on the National Mall, they used something similar in the Reflecting Pool to try to destroy and demean our beautiful work. Lightweight ABC Reporter, Jonathan Karl, was seen sticking his hand into the Pool, and trying to rip the rubber off of the surface.” 

Yes, Karl reached into the murky water and picked up a piece of material that had already peeled away from the surface. But the reporter clearly didn’t vandalize the Pool. But as it turns out, Karl isn’t the only person that the government now blames. 

According to recent reports, a former Olympic athlete was arrested by U.S. Park Police for vandalizing the monument. Canoe Slalom Olympian David Hearn, who competed for the U.S. in the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Games, was detained for misdemeanor destruction of government property while cycling past the monument on Friday. 

Per The Washington Post, Hearn had reached into the water (much like Karl) to feel the detaching liner. He later said of the incident, “I didn’t vandalize anything.” 

The former Olympian added, “I didn't destroy or break or peel anything. By the time I realized what was going on, I was being put in handcuffs.” Hearn is now set to appear in Washington, D.C., Superior Court on July 9.
