As a consultative cardiologist, Dr. Rigved Tadwalkar, MD, FACC, says supplements operate in the “wild west” of the health system.

“When I prescribe a medication, I know exactly what’s in the bottle, how it’s manufactured and precisely how it interacts with the body because it has undergone years of rigorous, large-scale clinical trials,” he tells Parade.

But Dr. Tadwalkar warns that supplements aren’t held to the same regulatory standards as medications.

“Often, the marketing is driven by profit rather than peer-reviewed data,” he explains. “As a patient, you have to play detective, asking questions like: Who is selling this? What is their incentive? If it sounds like a miracle cure, it’s almost certainly marketing bravado rather than medical science.”

Yet, if you’re one of the more than 20 million adults in the U.S. living with heart disease, it’s natural to want a cure. Unfortunately, supplements are also billed as “natural,” which Dr. Tadwalkar says doesn’t always mean “safe,” especially if you have or are at risk for heart disease.

“Supplements can alter the metabolism of life-saving medications or add unnecessary strain to your system,” he explains. “We need to be careful that your ‘wellness’ routine isn’t quietly working against your heart prescriptions.”

One trending supplement, billed as a tool for cardiovascular disease, may actually do more harm than good (or just no good at all). Four cardiologists agree that this supplement is mostly a waste of money for heart health, and that people taking statins need to be especially careful with it. This Supplement Is a Waste of Money for Heart Health, Cardiologists Say

Four cardiologists agree that CoQ10 is generally a waste of money for heart health, even though it’s promoted as a miracle cure for cardiovascular disease, statin-related muscle pains and even aging (which, um, doesn’t need to be cured).

“Despite the glowing marketing claims, the official stance from major medical organizations tells a different story,” Dr. Patrick Kee, MD, Ph.D, a cardiologist at Vital Heart & Vein, tells Parade. “The American Heart Association (AHA) explicitly states that CoQ10 remains ‘of uncertain value’ in heart failure management, and it does not replace standard, guideline-directed medical therapy.”

If your algorithm hasn’t pushed TikTok videos promoting this supplement as a blanket fix for “all the things,” you may wonder: “Hey, what is CoQ10 anyway?”

Coenzyme Q10, or CoQ10, is a naturally occurring antioxidant. Every cell in your body has it, says Dr. Ryan Kaple, MD, an interventional cardiologist and the director of the Structural & Congenital Heart Program at Hackensack University Medical Center.

“It plays a crucial role in creating energy within your cells and protecting them from damage,” he says. “Think of it as a tiny spark plug for your cells’ engines. Your body produces CoQ10, but its levels can decrease with age or in people with certain conditions, like heart disease.”

But that doesn’t mean CoQ10 supplements are a great way to reduce the risk of heart disease (or slow it). Unfortunately, though, that’s why people often one-click buy them.

“Manufacturers heavily promote it with a ‘health halo,'” Dr. Kee points out. “It is widely sold under the premise that taking extra pills will naturally boost your heart’s pumping energy, slow down aging or magically shield your cardiovascular system.”

Yet, cardiologists say the hype isn’t usually right here.

The Truth About CoQ10 and Heart Health

Dr. Kaple warns that CoQ10 can interfere with blood thinners, including warfarin, and could lower blood sugar, a potential concern for people taking diabetes medications (Remember: people with diabetes are more likely to live with heart disease, too). Lack of oversight is also a problem.

“You can’t always be sure of the quality or dosage of the supplement you’re taking,” Dr. Kaple warns.

However, Dr. Tadwalkar is generally less concerned with toxicity than with the opportunity cost. “Many patients spend time and money chasing a supplement that doesn’t move the needle, potentially delaying the lifestyle changes or evidence-based treatments that actually save lives,” he explains.

For instance, there’s some anecdotal evidence that CoQ10 helps some people on statins with muscle aches. “But clinical trials have been largely neutral,” Dr. Tadwalkar clarifies. “It’s not a dangerous interaction, but it’s rarely the fix people hope it is.”

Another cardiologist agrees. “There are some studies that have demonstrated some mild cardiac benefits,” states Dr. Mohanakrishnan Sathyamoorthy, MD, the chair of internal medicine at the Burnett School of Medicine at TCU.  “These, however, are significantly outweighed by the time you invest in optimizing your nutrition, daily exercise, restful sleep and socialization.”

When CoQ10 May Be Helpful

Dr. Kaple doesn’t recommend CoQ10 for most of his patients but says the supplement might have a place in some holistic treatment plans. Dr. Kaple shares that times when CoQ10 might be considered include:

• True CoQ10 deficiency (very rare)
• Heart failure, along with standard medical treatments (“This is not a replacement for proven therapies,” Dr. Kaple emphasizes.) 
• Migraines

Importantly, Dr. Kaple stresses these plans should always stem from “consultation with a doctor.”

3 Ways To Improve Your Heart Health That Aren’t CoQ10 Supplements

There’s no one-size-fits-all prescription for better heart health. Instead, cardiologists recommend starting with lifestyle changes. Below, they detail three effective ways to improve your heart health with more backing than CoQ10.

1. Adopt a heart-healthy diet

Dr. Kaple recommends following a diet plan that prioritizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and healthy fats, such as the Mediterranean or DASH eating plans. These diets also minimize intake of processed foods, saturated and trans fats, added sugars and sodium. Dr. Kaple shares that these eating plans can help you keep your weight, cholesterol and blood pressure in check and lower your risk of chronic conditions that can strain the heart.

“The most heart-healthy source is oily fish like salmon, char, trout or mackerel,” shares Dr. Sathyamoorthy. “For vegetarians and vegans, [try] walnuts, tofu, cauliflower and soybeans.”

2. Log exercise

Dr. Kaple suggests aiming for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise, like brisk walking, swimming or cycling, each week. Moderate-intensity simply means your heart rate goes up, but you can still carry on a conversation.

“Exercise strengthens your heart muscle, improves circulation, helps control your weight, and can lower your blood pressure and cholesterol,” Dr. Kaple says.

Speaking of strength, don’t forget to add at least two resistance-training exercises to your regimen each week.

“There is a massive misconception that heart health equals hours on the treadmill, but lifting weights improves insulin sensitivity and lowers blood pressure,” Dr. Tadwalkar adds.

3. Prioritize sleep

Your heart, mind and whole body will thank you. “Deep, restorative sleep gives your heart a necessary rest period, lowers your baseline heart rate and regulates stress hormones that can otherwise trigger inflammation and hypertension over time,” Dr. Kee reports.

Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro continued its competition tonight with the five remaining dancers facing their toughest challenge to date: teaching ballroom dance to beginners with some help from Dancing with the Stars Season 34 winning pro Witney Carson.

Hosted by wildlife conservationist and Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Len Goodman Mirrorball Champion Robert Irwin, Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, began with 12 exceptional up-and-coming dancers who moved into one house to compete in a grueling audition process, all vying for a coveted spot as a pro dancer on Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars.

Three-time Mirrorball champion Mark Ballas and his mother, Shirley Ballas “The Queen of Latin” served as judges.

“We know you are all great dancers, but on Dancing with the Stars just producing a beautiful dance is not enough,” Shirley told the troupe. “Your partner will be relying on you 100 percent.”

Each of the five remaining competitors for the Dancing with the Stars Season 35 pro spot were paired with superfans and were given two days to prepare a performance as they competed for a spot in the semifinals in the “But Can You Teach? Coaching Superfans with Witney Carson” episode.

“Dancers, the fact that you are still here proves you have the technique and the choreographic talent to be a pro,” Witney said. “Now, it’s time for you to tackle the most fundamental skill you’ll need on Dancing with the Stars: teaching an amateur. This is a pro’s most testing role and being great at it is non-negotiable.”

Mark added, “This goes to the very core of the job on Dancing with the Stars. If you can’t teach an amateur, you should not be on the show.’

Here’s how the night broke down:

The five amateurs were social media influencers: Jeremy Urann, Zaira Yzabelle, Jay Wyson, Bailey McKnight, and Anthony Riccardo.

Nina and Jay: Foxtrot

Shirley said: “In terms of the Foxtrot, there were some fundamental issues. When it came to postural elements, the hold was not correct, the footwork was not correct, and also, when you dance ballroom, your feet should be in a parallel position. There is no turnout. You did have a go at doing some basic steps, so I will give you that, but all in all, the assignment was coaching, and I am a stickler for technique.”

Mark said: “Foxtrot is a sneaky hard dance because it has so much stride and glide and it needs to look effortless like it’s floating on a cloud. The thing for me was the frame. You guys were so close together at times and I think the reason for that was the butt was sticking out which was causing you not to glide. We want to see you take a ride around the floor.”

Witney said: “I live for the hip-hop moments. I love those moments. Nina, I think that was so brilliant of you to put that in. It was so fun to watch. I felt when I saw you in rehearsals, you gave Jay a lot of information. Time management is extremely important in this job, but really good job.”

Adele and Anthony: Tango

Mark said: “I’ve got to give it to you Adele. It moved, it had dynamics, loved that. When we came to rehearsals, I really appreciated the no-nonsense type of rehearsal given then time constraints. That is the only way to achieve an ambitious routine on Dancing with the Stars and that is what this was. It was ambitious.”

Shirley said: “When I came into the studio, you were perfect on the three Fs: fierce, fair, and I would have liked just a little more fun. But the choreography, you took risks with and I loved it.”

Witney said: “Anthony, what was that? When I talked with you, you were the least confident out of all the fans. So impressive. There was one thing I noticed right here. Anthony went a little fast and you put our your arm to slow him down. That is a very pro trick right there, so really, really impressed by that.”

AJ and Bailey: Viennese Waltz

Witney said: “Bailey, that was so good. I loved that routine. It was so beautiful. You could tell it was so technically sound. AJ, I would have loved a little bit more of an emotional moment. Part of the job is to not only create this routine, but to let the audience in and feel a little bit of your story.”

Mark said: “AJ, it is crystal clear, you know your craft and she was comfortable in your arms, which is so important in this job. All and all, doing a Viennese Waltz, it traveled, it flew, it looked great. Both of you, great job.”

Shirely said: “AJ, what you did in two days was miraculous. The assignment was coaching and you absolutely killed it. I could see every step forward, natural and reverse. Who would have thought. Nobody attempts them, not even top amateurs in some cases and you give it to this young lady. You are an absolute star. Well done.”

Shirley said: “I loved it. This is a partnership filled with beauty. The upper half where you take the arms, just beautiful. We got a little bit lost when it came to the basics. You couldn’t quite get your feet together. Allen, if you could just tighten up your basics, I think you will be a force to be reckoned with.”

Witney said: “I loved that performance. You could tell you guys worked so hard together building that connection and that trust. We saw in the rehearsal space as well the way you built her confidence up was so heartwarming and that’s really important in this job because we really want to make a celebrity feel really good about performing because that’s where the audience connects.”

Mark said: “Allen, solid brother. Great energy. That’s a huge part of this job. Zaira, you looked like you were having a great time. The fact that you had two days to learn this, you did a fantastic job.”

Selena and Jeremy: Quickstep

Witney said: “Jeremy, you light up this room. If you were my partner on Dancing with the Stars, I would be stoked. Your energy is amazing. I love it. Selena, I love your jazz background because it gives you an eye for natural ability to choreograph. The one thing it was lacking was Quickstep content, but it was a really memorable performance, so thank you for that.”

Mark said: “It was fun, it had musicality, it was sharp, it was fast, it was quick. However, it has to get around the floor, especially with a guy like this. Out of all the dances, this is the one that can travel, but good job.”

Shirley said: “Jeremy, I think if we had to give out the trophy for the million-dollar smile, you would be awarded it. Having said that, the assignment was coaching. I want to be able to tell from here if you can coach and it starts with the character of the dance and the character of the Quickstep is it is a traveling dance; it is not a stationary dance. I did appreciate what you performed and I can see you can do all sorts, but I am a rule person and when the brief is Quickstep, that is what I want to see. But well done anyway.”

Then it was time for the elimination. The first dancer in jeopardy of going home was Nina. The second dancer was Selena.

Shirley said, “This was a very difficult decision because I felt that both of you young ladies lacked knowledge.”

That said, it was the last dance for Nina.

“It hurts. I haven’t cried like this in a while,” she said. “Dancing for 10 years, I didn’t value myself as a dancer but all of that changed when I came here and I am better than when I came here. I know my worth.”

Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, with episodes available to stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.

Hank Williams Jr. finally took the stage in Michigan after wildfire smoke forced the postponement of his highly anticipated concert earlier this summer.

The country music legend, 77, performed at Acrisure Amphitheater in Sterling Heights on Friday, Aug. 14, giving fans the chance to see the rescheduled show after poor air quality disrupted the original plans.

The concert had initially been scheduled for July but was postponed because of smoke from Canadian wildfires that had moved into the region. The conditions created unhealthy air quality, prompting organizers to reschedule the outdoor performance rather than put concertgoers at risk.

When Williams Jr. finally arrived onstage, however, the wait was over.

A new review of the concert from BroadwayWorld described the performance as a high-energy night, with Williams Jr. delivering a set filled with the songs and country-rock sound that have made him a fixture in the genre for decades.

Williams Jr. was joined by Junior Brown and Mary Kutter, who performed as special guests during the evening.

The concert comes during a busy stretch for the 77-year-old singer, who continues to perform live more than five decades after releasing his first album.

Known for hits including “Family Tradition,” “A Country Boy Can Survive” and “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight,” Williams Jr. has built a career that has made him one of country music’s most recognizable performers.

For Michigan fans, the Aug. 14 performance was also a chance to finally see the concert they’d been waiting for.

Dinner may have gone off the rails during tonight’s Below Deck Mediterranean episode, but the final few minutes delivered the wildest twist yet—one that could change the crew dynamic in the worst way possible.

With bosun Nathan Gallagher off the boat nursing a back injury, lead deckhand Joe Bradley was tapped to take over in his absence. Seeing an opportunity to prove himself, Joe rallied his team, which now includes returning deckhand Max Salvador, and began making headway by impressing Captain Sandy Yawn with his managerial skills.

But just as the deck team appears to be finding its footing, Nathan sends Max a message that could derail all of Joe’s progress. During the final moments of the episode, Max receives a text from Nathan that reads: “I’m sure Joe’s been in your ear. I’m gonna get back to the boat at some point, and I need you. Have my back and I’ll for sure make you lead deckhand. Swear.”

That’s when Max reveals in a confessional that his ultimate goal is to become lead deckhand. “And the next day I’m going to be bosun,” he says. “And the next day I’m going to be a charter guest. But what the f—k is this gesture, Nathan? I don’t want to betray my friend Joe, so … This makes me doubt, you know? I’m like … career choice, you know?”

The anxiety clearly sets in as Max finds himself torn between his friendship with Joe, the unity of the deck team, and Nathan’s promise of a lead deckhand position. There’s also one major complication: Nathan already gave Joe the lead deckhand title. So, does that mean Nathan could demote Joe out of spite after Joe stepped up as interim bosun?

Previews show that Captain Sandy is impressed with Joe’s performance, telling him that his work has been efficient and organized. Joe, meanwhile, makes it clear that he believes the bosun position “should be mine.”

But Joe’s confidence is shaken when Captain Sandy reveals to the team that Nathan will return for the next charter.

So, will Nathan demote Joe despite Captain Sandy’s praise? And will Max tell Joe about Nathan’s text? Stay tuned.

After years of fans urging the brand to bring them back across social media, these cult-favorite scents that defined a generation are returning with new spray technology designed to deliver a lighter, more controlled application for today’s guy, according to AXE.

As Y2K fashion, music, and beauty trends continue to make a comeback, the collection gives longtime fans the chance to reconnect with some of AXE’s most recognizable fragrances while also introducing them to a new generation discovering the scents for the first time.

In August 1988, author Thomas Harris unleashed a novel that would later become the foundation for one of the greatest films ever made. The Silence of the Lambs was Harris’ second book in a four-book series dedicated to the man, the myth, the infamous meat eater Hannibal Lecter. 

A massive commercial and critical hit, the book became a bestseller upon its release and has since sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. It won prestigious genre awards at the time including the Bram Stoker Award for Best Novel and the Anthony Award, and was credited with redefining the psychological thriller genre on the shelves. 

Three years later, Hollywood got hold of it.

Adapting the novel for the big screen for Orion Pictures, screenwriter Ted Tally focused on the taut psychological “quid pro quo” between FBI agent Clarice Starling, played by Jodie Foster, and the brilliant forensic psychiatrist-turned-notorious cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lecter, played by Anthony Hopkins. 

Jonathan Demme, whose film repertoire at the time included Something Wild and Married to the Mob, directed the film, and with Tally’s script, his cast’s talent, and a selection of carefully chosen needle drops complementing Howard Shore’s orchestral score, he delivered a deeply human, highly empathetic psychological drama grounded in reality.

One of the music moments that gets the most attention comes early in the narrative and from one of rock and roll’s greatest voices, Tom Petty.

A masterclass in cinematic suspense, the scene captures the joyful mundanity of a victim and the calculating trap of a predator. As Catherine Martin, the unassuming daughter of a U.S. senator, drives down a highway at night, she rocks out to the sounds of Petty’s “American Girl” blasting from her car stereo. Drumming her hands on the steering wheel and singing along to the blissful lyrics, she is completely unbothered.

That is until she pulls up near her apartment, sees an injured man struggling to move furniture into a moving van, and decides to see if she can help. As she steps out into the damp night air, the music fades into the background, and she’s met with unspeakable horror. 

According to an interview with Brooke Smith, the actor who played Catherine, and The Huffington Post, Demme was choosing between two songs to soundtrack Catherine’s introduction: “American Girl” by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and “Tell Me Something Good” by Rufus and Chaka Khan.

“Jonathan Demme, in his infinite wisdom, was the one who made the choice,” she said about going with “American Girl.” “It was almost too perfect. It just set it up absolutely 100 percent perfectly, that song.”

When it was first released in 1977, “American Girl” hardly made a peep. Following its big-screen cameo in Demme’s film, however, the song took on a new life. Granted, it had been previously featured in the films FM and Fast Times at Ridgemont High, but The Silence of the Lambs took it to another level, and even caused it to land on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, where it peaked at No. 9. 

Even more, the film gave the ’70s rock classic an enduring pop culture identity. Smith even said that when people stop her, they say they can’t separate the song from her character. 

“People always tell me, ‘Every time I hear that song, I think of you,’” she said.

But the movie wasn’t done making its mark. The following year, The Silence of the Lambs made Oscar history, becoming just the third film ever to sweep the five major categories and the only horror film to win Best Picture. 

In the end, The Silence of the Lambs didn’t just make film awards history, rather it permanently changed the way a generation hears Petty’s “American Girl,” turning one of classic rock’s most joyous songs into one of the big screen’s most terrifying moments.

Lindsay Clancy‘s mother took the stand this week with new details about the weeks leading up to the deaths of her three grandchildren.

CNN reported on Monday, August 17 that Clancy’s mother Paula Musgrove and her other daughter, Allison Ozga, testified as the defense began laying out its case in the Massachusetts murder trial.

Both women emotionally described a rapid decline in Clancy’s mental state in the months before 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan were killed inside the family’s Duxbury home in January 2023.

According to CBS News’ live coverage of the testimony, Musgrove told jurors the change in her daughter began in October 2022. Jurors were shown a text message Clancy sent her mother that month.

“Mom, will you please come up and stay with me for a bit? I’m really sick. Something is wrong,” Clancy wrote. “I had horrible insomnia all night, and I just don’t know how I am going to get through the day. … It’s just really scary, and I don’t want to be alone.”

Musgrove said things grew far more serious by December, when her daughter admitted something more alarming. “She told us she had thoughts of harming the children,” Musgrove testified.

What Did Lindsay Clancy’s Sister Witness Before the Killings?

Ozga backed up her mother’s account according to the video shared by the news outlet, telling jurors that by late December, Clancy said she had been having suicidal thoughts every day for roughly a month. Musgrove added that Clancy had grown afraid to sleep alone and believed her prescribed medications “were destroying her mind.”

Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, isn’t disputing that she killed her children. His case rests on the argument that she isn’t criminally responsible, pointing to postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder that he says were worsened by fragmented psychiatric care and overmedication, as reported by PBS.

What Have Prosecutors Told Jurors?

Prosecutors see it differently. They allege Clancy planned the killings, noting she sent her then-husband, Patrick, out for takeout and medication before the attack, according to The Guardian. They’ve also leaned on testimony from doctors who said they saw no signs of mania or psychosis, despite Clancy’s repeated reports of suicidal thoughts.

Clancy has not taken the stand. Jurors have watched her tear up at several points during the trial, particularly as evidence about her children’s deaths was shown.

If convicted of first-degree murder, Clancy faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. If jurors find she was not criminally responsible for her children’s murders, she would instead be committed to a Massachusetts state psychiatric hospital, where she has been held since her arrest.

As Nate Bargatze continues to travel the globe on his Big Dumb Eyes tour, the stand-up comedian has made history with a Guinness World Record.

Onstage at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Saturday, Bargatze was presented with the Guinness World Record for the most tickets sold on a stand-up comedy tour after selling approximately 2,016,254 tickets. He officially surpassed Jeff Dunham, whose Sparks of Insanity tour sold 1,981,720 tickets between 2007 and 2010.

While it took 35 months and 8 days spanning 386 venues for Dunham to earn the record, it took Bargatze only 16 months and 10 days across only 128 venues. And this isn’t the only record Bargatze has broken.

According to the comedian’s reps, Bargatze has broken 84 venue records, including being the only comedian to sell out three consecutive performances at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. “A feat matched only by Taylor Swift and Garth Brooks,” Bargatze’s publicists wrote.

Although Bargatze has become the highest-grossing stand-up comedian, making an astounding $77.5 million in 2025, his career hasn’t come without controversy. After photos surfaced of Bargatze attending President Donald Trump’s UFC Freedom 250 fight, the comedian became the subject of conversation between fans and celebrities alike. In a Substack essay, comedian W. Kamau Bell criticized Bargatze, saying, “Don’t be in a photo with fascists.”

“Nate Bargatze was by far the most shocking and disappointing attendee for me. One of my favorite comedians and a genuinely decent guy. Dude should have known how bad it would look,” one fan wrote on Threads at the time.

Another clapped back, saying, “Nate Bargatze can support Trump. Nate Bargatze can attend Trump’s White House UFC party. Nate Bargatze can pose for photos with political figures.”

The phrase “You always hurt the ones you love” usually applies to emotional heartbreak, but Matchbook Twenty drummer and rhythm guitarist Paul Doucette just learned it can apply to physical blunt-force trauma, too.

During a recent Matchbox Twenty concert, frontman Rob Thomas was aggressively spinning a microphone stand in the air when he accidentally struck Doucette directly in the head. On August 16, Doucette took to Instagram to share an expletive-laden recount of the painful, surreal moment caused by his longtime friend and bandmate.

“Rob [Thomas] took me the f–k out with his swinging the f—–g mic stand during that show,” Doucette said. “And I have bits of my in-ear [monitor], which he f—–g smashed in my ear, that are now in my ear.” While he explained to the camera what happened, someone had tweezers in his ear, trying to pull the IEM pieces out.

The following day, Thomas reposted a spliced video of the night in question along with Doucette’s post. Fans can clearly see Thomas obliviously smash Doucette in the side of the head with the stand. The caption read: “After 30 years of mic swinging, Rob claimed his first victim: [Paul Doucette] of course.”

An audience member got even more video of the incident, including Doucette walking off stage holding his ear, and Thomas addressing what happened.

“My best friend in the world, and I think I almost killed him, and I feel really bad about this,” he said.

Thomas and Doucette have been friends for decades, first meeting when Doucette answered an ad for a drummer. The band was Tabitha Secret, which Thomas fronted.

“Rob and I definitely hit it off immediately from night one,” Doucette told the Cincinnati Enquirer in 2023. “He was like, you’re 21, I just turned 21. Let’s go to a bar. We went to this all-night after-hours bar, and he convinced these people that I was the kickboxing champion of Pittsburgh. This guy wanted to kick my a–, and I was like, I just met this guy. We had quite an adventurous night.”

Despite the literal head-shaking mishap, Doucette took the accidental hit with the same resilient sense of humor that has kept their friendship intact since that wild first night in a bar. It’ll take a lot more than a flying microphone stand to break this bond.

A recall notice has been issued for over 3,000 ready-to-heat soup kits that were sold at Walmart locations in 29 states across the country due to concerns that the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

According to a recall notice published by the United States Food and Drug Administration on August 13, Kettle Cuisine LLC of Savage, Maryland has recalled 3,240 packs of its Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kit. The affected products were distributed from June 30 through July 7 to select Walmart stores in the following states:

Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

The 14-ounce recalled product is packaged in a wrapped tray, marked with UPC 194346474004, and has a best-by date of August 22, 2026. Consumers are urged to “not eat, serve, sell, or distribute the recalled product,” with the recall notice asking consumers to “dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase for a refund,” noting that consumers should “not rely on smell or appearance to determine whether the product is safe.”

The recall notice also states that, “to date, the company has received no confirmed reports of illnesses associated with this product,” but “urges customers to wash hands after handling the product. Clean and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, containers, utensils, countertops, and other surfaces that may have encounter the product.”

The Black Queen, the rock supergroup, has announced its final show for 2026 amid its anniversary tour.

Following multiple U.S. legs and international dates, the band, fronted by vocalist Greg Puciato on lead vocals, Joshua Eustis, Chris Pennie and Steven Alexander Ryan, with touring member Danny Lohner, has added one more run for the Fever Daydream 10 Year Anniversary Tour.

In an Instagram update, The Black Queen announced an expanded international run, including a show in Dublin, Ireland, marking their first-ever performance in the city.

Scheduled for Dec. 18, the performance will mark their “last show of the year.”

The Black Queen started the tour in May with its first U.S. leg, a 14-date run covering major cities in Oregon, Colorado, California, New York, Ohio and more before concluding in Texas in June.

Following this, the band is gearing up for the second U.S. leg, kicking off on Sept. 9 in California and wrapping up the fall tour in October.

As mentioned, the band added an international run, hitting Australia for festival dates in December, followed by a series of shows in the U.K. before ending with the final show in Ireland.

It was one of the biggest singles in the year 1990, but Sinéad O’Connor‘s smash hit “Nothing Compares 2 U” originally came from the mind of the one and only, Prince.

Prince wrote the “Nothing Compares 2 U” in 1984, recording the original demo version in July of that year. He first wrote the song for his side project and band, The Family, who included the track on their self-titled debut album in 1985 — but it wasn’t for another five years that the song would soar to entirely new heights, thanks to O’Connor.

O’Connor released her version of the haunting pop single in January 1990, later featuring it on her second studio album, I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got. It was her version that turned “Nothing Compares 2 U” into a massive global hit, with the song soaring to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in April 1990.

It spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1, not only becoming the most successful song of O’Connor’s entire career, but also one of the biggest singles of the entire year. It was the No. 3 top song of 1990, behind “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips and “It Must Have Been Love” by Roxette.

O’Connor’s version of “Nothing Compares 2 U” has gone down in history as one of the most enduring ’90s songs of all time. It’s included on Rolling Stone‘s ranking of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, placing on the list at No. 184.

At the MTV Music Video Awards in 1990, O’Connor became the first woman to ever win Video of the Year, and at the inaugural Billboard Music Awards in December 1990, “Nothing Compares 2 U” won for No. 1 World Single.

The Jonas Brothers are bringing the Burning Up Tour All Over Again to fans across North America this fall.

Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas announced Monday that their celebration of the band’s iconic Burning Up Tour will expand into a 45-city North American tour in response to the overwhelming demand for their sold-out Madison Square Garden shows.

The new tour kicks off Sept. 25 in Boston and will make stops in cities including Toronto, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle and Denver before wrapping up Dec. 21 in Newark, New Jersey.

Magnus Ferrell, Franklin Jonas and All Time Low will join the Jonas Brothers as special guests on select dates.

The tour announcement comes during a major week for the band. The Jonas Brothers were recently inducted as Disney Legends at D23, one of The Walt Disney Company’s highest honors.

Their induction came just as Camp Rock 3 premiered on Disney Channel before its Disney+ debut, nearly two decades after the original Camp Rock helped launch the band’s Disney-era fame.

The group was also recently announced as the halftime performers for the NFL’s first regular-season game in Australia.

When Do Jonas Brothers Tour Tickets Go on Sale?

Tickets will be available through a Spotify Reserved presale beginning Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 8:28 a.m. local time for eligible Spotify Premium fans.

Additional presales will follow throughout the week, with tickets going on sale to the general public Friday, Aug. 21, at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster.

The Jonas Brothers are also offering VIP packages that can include premium tickets, access to a pre-show Burnin’ Up VIP Lounge and exclusive merchandise.

For fans who missed the original Burning Up era, the new tour offers another chance to relive it, this time across North America.

Throughout the 1980s, Prince put out a plethora of hits, cementing himself as a generational talent. Despite being over 40 years old, one of Prince’s most beloved songs, “Let’s Go Crazy” by his band Prince & the Revolution, was recently recognized by the publication Entertainment Weekly for its impact in the rock genre.

The 1984 track, written by Prince, was included in Entertainment Weekly‘s list, titled “the 25 greatest rock songs of all time.” Some of the other tunes featured on the list, published in July 2026, were “All Day and All of the Night” by The Kinks from 1964, 1963’s “Be My Baby” by The Ronettes, and The Ramones‘ 1976 song, “Blitzkrieg Bop.”

“Let’s Go Crazy,” off Purple Rain, secured the No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 spot in September 1984, just three months after the album was released.

Prince, who died in 2016 at the age of 57, mentioned his original draft of “Let’s Go Crazy” in a 1997 interview with Musician magazine. While speaking to Musician, he said that he felt more freedom recording his 1996 album, Emancipation, after his contract with Warner Bros. ended. Prince stated that he didn’t have to think about appeasing the masses like he did with his previous albums.

“Well, when you’re in the creative process, the first thing you naturally think about is the ‘bombs,’ the great ones that you’ve done before. You want to fill in the slots on your album with the songs that will make everyone the happiest: fans, musicians, writers, and so on. I used to try to fill those gaps first whenever I was trying something new, or wait to challenge myself to do another great one. This means that you think about singles: time constraints, for example, and the subject matter,” said Prince during the interview.

According to Prince, he had to change the original lyrics of “Let’s Go Crazy,” so it could be marketable.

“[For that reason] my original draft of ‘Let’s Go Crazy’ was much different from the version that wound up being released. As I wrote it, ‘Let’s Go Crazy’ was about God and the de-elevation of sin. But the problem was that religion as a subject is taboo in pop music. People think that the records they release have got to be hip, but what I need to do is to tell the truth,” said Prince, who attended Seventh Day Adventist services in his childhood and eventually became a Jehovah’s Witness in his 40s, per Billboard.

Hayden Panettiere and Brian Hickerson kept their rekindled romance quiet in order to protect her career, with the couple not breaking up as many times as the public was led to believe, TMZ reports.

A source close to Hickerson told the outlet that the two were together while she was promoting her new memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” but he stayed out of the spotlight with her as her camp felt is was “bad for business.”

“We’re told their complicated history was perceived as being bad for book sales — but they were still in constant communication during the promotional tour,” the outlet writes. “We’re also told Hayden basically became a member of the Hickerson family in recent years … especially in light of the fact that she didn’t have a close relationship with her own family.”

Another source added that the two had been dating for years and that any reports that detailed them breaking up were false and were released to help her career. The two were spotted together in Los Angeles and South Carolina at different times this past year.

Much of their turbulent relationship had to do with domestic violence allegations and arrests. Hickerson was sentenced to 45 days in jail back in 2021 after he was arrested on multiple felony charges, including four charges of corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, two charges of assault with a deadly weapon, and one charge of intimidating a witness, Panettiere. He also faced a misdemeanor charge of battery on a spouse/cohabitant.

Panettiere died on Sunday afternoon in an Airbnb in Greenville, South Carolina, with first responders arriving at the residence at 1:50 PM to help a woman who was in cardiac arrest, attempting life-saving measures, including CPR. She was pronounced dead at 2:32 PM.

One day following her death, on Monday, August 17, Hickerson’s Instagram profile was deleted, but the account had been inactive for years. Two ambulances were also spotted at the residence, leading to questions about whether two people were tended to by first responders.
