She’s no stranger to reality TV, as proven through her competitive spirit on Dancing With the Stars.

So, why not rope Leah Remini into a long-running Bravo show? After all, there’s always a bit of competition amongst The Real Housewives.

Variety reports that the King of Queens star, 56, has joined season 16 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a full-time cast member.

The entertainment website Reality Blurb took to social media to announce the cast addition, and fans didn’t hold back in sharing their variety of reactions in the Instagram post’s comments section. There were plenty of positive responses, with one user writing, “Of Finally someone who is authentic!! I hope she and Tilly get along. They are great.” Another fan commented, “OMG, this will be epic 🙌❤️.”

Others, however, seems to have reservations about the choice. “Ok. We shall see how much is ‘real’ & how much is her acting again,” one Instagram user commented, while another person wrote, “She doesn’t have a inch of Housewife in her.”

Meanwhile, Tracy Tutor is also joining the group, as fans are already well aware. The real estate agent and ex-Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles star, 51, made the announcement via Instagram on August 19.

Remini and Tutor will co-star with returning full-time cast members:

Remini Is ‘Proud of the Family’ She Built With Her Ex

Remini drew attention earlier this year when she posted a heartfelt message about family—and a recent photo that includes her ex-husband, Angelo Pagan. “In a world where so much feels curated and performative, I have come to appreciate the rare beauty of families that change shape, but never lose the love that is real,” Remini, 55, captioned an Instagram post.

“Some may not understand it. But I am incredibly proud of the family we built – and even more proud of the family we chose to remain,” she added.

As Kevin McHale makes his Broadway debut this week, he’s honoring his late costar, Cory Monteith, with a sweet nod in his Playbill biography.

The Glee alum, fresh off of a run in the off-Broadway revival of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, has officially taken over the role of Brad in the Broadway revival of The Rocky Horror Show—an honor he and Monteith have in common, as the late actor once portrayed the lovable nerd when, in the fifth episode of Season 2, the New Directions took on the cult classic.

Fans who were in attendence when the McHale hit the Broadway stage for the first time on Aug. 25 noted an emotional inclusion for Monteith, who died during the production break between the fourth and fifth seasons of Glee at just 31 years old.

It was almost too much to take for dedicated fans of the pair and the series, with one commenter admitting, “Oh I’m gonna sob.”

“I’m sick to my stomach over this 😭,” another wrote, while a third agreed, “Its too early to cry…this is so sweet ♥️😭.”

Fans would have been emotional over the heartfelt gesture either way, but in light of the week’s other difficult losses, with Dolly Parton and Tim Curry dying back to back, it was an especially tearjerking addition to the zeitgeist.

Looks like the U.K. loves the Red Hot Chili Peppers as much as the U.S. does. Maybe even more, as the legendary alternative rock band has just passed a major milestone in the country across the pond.

According to Forbes, RHCP’s 2003 Greatest Hits album, which blends bangers from 1991’s Blood Sugar Sex Magik, 1995’s One Hot Minute, 1999’s Californication, and 2002’s By the Way, has now officially spent 520 weeks—10 years—on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart. The compilation is currently at No. 41, making it the band’s first release to reach the decade mark on the tally.

And the collection isn’t thriving on just the main albums chart. Greatest Hits is currently No. 32 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Streaming chart, where it has accumulated 600 weeks.

Released Nov. 18, 2003, Greatest Hits is a delightful summary of the band’s dominant alternative rock era on Warner Bros. Records. This was around the time that the band had just wrapped their massive global tour for 2002’s By the Way.

Firing on all cylinders, the band’s core lineup—Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith, and returning guitarist John Frusciante—curated a 16-track collection that focused heavily on their ’90s and early 2000s golden age. Of course, they added two new tracks* for good measure.

These days, the RHCP are writing and recording material for their 14th studio album, hunkered down at Frusciante’s house, no less.

“We’ve been writing music together, recording at John Frusciante’s house, and the music feels great,” they told MOJO, per Consequence. “Ultimately, once we start playing, it’s about … just catching a magic groove and doing it good.”

In addition to solo projects, such as Flea’s debut jazz album and Kiedis’ coffee brand, the West Coast outfit, which performed beachside during the Paris 2024 Olympic closing ceremony handover segment for LA28, has the Summer Games to look forward to. As does the rest of the world.

Tim Curry famously kept his personal life private, rarely discussing past relationships and partners.

However, before his death on August 26, 2026, at the age of 80, Curry did reveal the “great love of his life” and simultaneously showed off his signature sense of humor.

In an interview with Charlie Adler in 2019, six years after experiencing a stroke, Curry was asked if there was ever one great love of his life that got away and that he regrets.

Curry starred alongside Miss Piggy in the 1996 adventure comedy Muppet Treasure Island as a pirate named Long John Silver. Piggy played Benjamina Gunn, an ex-romantic partner of Silver.

Following his death, Piggy paid tribute to the iconic actor, writing, “Moi will never forget vous, Long John,” with a pink heart emoji.

The Muppets also paid homage to Curry. “Few humans have earned the title of honorary Muppet more than the legendary Tim Curry,” the statement read. “As a performer, he was unparalleled — witty, charming, unnerving, and deeply funny. We will always consider it one of our greatest treasures to have been part of Long John Silver’s crew. Thank you for everything, Tim.”

In real life, Curry seldom spoke of his private life, and in his 2025 memoir “Vagabond,” he reassured fans he had experienced love and heartbreak.

“I guarantee you, if it matters, that I have experienced true love, true heartbreak, and everything in between, including no small amount of wreckage. Which, naturally, helps inform who I am,” he wrote. “I have loved and been loved, and I hope you have, too. But I’m not interested in your romances.”

This is the question I was testing in real time, and the answer is, in fact, yes, on the days when you want it to. The glycerin and niacinamide do enough hydrating work that I didn’t feel like I needed a separate moisturizer underneath—my skin felt comfortable and not at all tight throughout the day.

The SPF 30 covers daily broad-spectrum protection. And the coverage, while buildable, gives enough of an evening effect that I didn’t feel underdressed for a normal day out.

Of course, it doesn’t replace a full-coverage foundation for events where you need more, a heavy-duty SPF 50 if you’re spending a day outside, or a dedicated serum if you’re working on specific skin concerns. It’s a streamlining product, not a replacement for your entire routine. But on a busy summer morning when I want three steps instead of seven, it’s exactly right.

This is where the update delivers. The texture is lightweight in a way that doesn’t feel like a compromise—it glides on smoothly, blends easily with fingers or a brush and dries down to a satin finish that reads as skin rather than product. It’s not tacky, not heavy and not the kind of thing that sits in your pores. It stays put all day and doesn’t come off until you double cleanse that night. (And you should double cleanse!)

All-day wear is what the brand claims, and the clinical testing supports it—97% of testers said skin felt moisturized all day after a week of use. My experience tracks with that. I applied it in the morning, and by early evening it had faded gracefully rather than oxidizing into a weird color or separating into patchy coverage.

The satin finish holds reasonably well through a normal day, though if you’re in intense heat or humidity you may want a light setting powder over the top to extend it.

Who Is This BB Cream Actually For?

Phoebe Bridgers brought a little grunge nostalgia to the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge last week.

During her appearance on the beloved live music program, the 32-year-old singer performed a beautiful stripped-down cover of Nirvana’s “Lithium,” putting her own spin on the 1990s classic. In addition, Bridgers performed “Lost Boys” and “Bobby,” two songs from her newest album, Lost Weekend, which was released on Aug. 14.

Her session was recorded on Aug. 18 in London, hours before Bridgers’ appendicitis flared up and she was sent to the hospital. The next day, on Aug. 19, she was supposed to kick off a series of intimate shows around the United Kingdom to celebrate the release of Lost Weekend, but had to postpone them.

Bridgers grew up in Pasadena, California, and studied music as a teenager. After her brief stint as a bassist for the experimental-rock band Sloppy Jane, Bridgers released her debut studio album, Stranger in the Alps, in 2017, then followed it up with Punisher in 2020. The “Kyoto” singer is also a part of the supergroup boygenius, which won three of their six Grammy nominations in 2024 for their album, the record. Also an acclaimed songwriter, Bridgers has collaborated with many artists, including Taylor Swift, The 1975, The Killers, MUNA, SZA, The National and more. She released her third album, Lost Weekend, two weeks ago, which touches on the themes of grief, depression and dissociation.

The singer’s cover of the hit Nirvana song wasn’t the first time Bridgers has alluded to the iconic rock group. Back in January 2023, boygenius re-created the iconic Nirvana Rolling Stone photoshoot for their cover story for the same publication. Later that year, former Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl joined the group for a performance of their song, “Satanist,” at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

When Nirvana was formed in 1987 by Kurt Cobain and Kris Novoselic, their success popularized the genre of alternative rock and was often referenced as the flagship band for the baby boomer generation. In 1990, they found success with the song “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” the lead single for their sophomore album, Nevermind.

Nevermind includes “Lithium,” the fifth track on the album. Written by Cobain, he explained to the California fanzine Flipside that the song was about a man who turned to religion after his girlfriend passed away. Many fans interpret the song as one having a “manic depressive episode” and explains how people use religion as an emotional crutch during psychological crises.

“Lithium” was released as the third single for Nevermind, and peaked at No. 64 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 11 on the UK Singles Chart. The accompanying music video was a compliation of footage from their Halloween show at the Paramount Theater in Seattle. Though originally released in 1991, “Lithium” was released again as a single a year later due to its success.

Despite its release more than 30 years ago, “Lithium” still impacts audiences today. Critics have continued to praise the song, and it’s currently used by Seattle’s NHL team, the Seattle Kraken, as their goal tune since their first season in 2021.

Although the band’s career was cut short in 1994 after Cobain’s passing, Nirvana’s influence has continued for decades, inspiring generations of musicians and fans, including Bridgers.

In 1971, blues-rock supergroup Derek and the Dominos released their single “Layla,” the band’s standout track that has remained one of classic rock’s most enduring songs.

The four-piece band, fronted by Eric Clapton and featuring Bobby Whitlock, Carl Radle and Jim Gordon, all highly accomplished musicians in their own right, delivered a powerful hit that continues to resonate with generations more than five decades later.

The lead vocalist expressed how “incredibly proud” he is of “Layla.”

“To have ownership of something that powerful is something I’ll never be able to get used to. It still knocks me out when I play it,” he told Rolling Stone in a 1988 interview when asked about playing the song for decades.

Featured on their only studio album, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, the song was credited to Clapton and Gordon. The 1970 record was also named among the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time by Rolling Stone.

The publication also highlighted how “Layla” was deeply personal to the lead vocalist, who wrote the song about his forbidden love for Pattie Boyd, the wife of his close friend and The Beatles guitarist George Harrison.

At the same time, Clapton also took inspiration from the 12th-century Persian poem The Story of Layla and Majnun by Nizami Ganjavi, which focuses on a man’s love for a woman whom he can’t have.

As for Boyd, she admitted that she “wasn’t so happy when Eric” wrote the song because she was still married to Harrison at the time.

“I felt I was being exposed,” she told The Guardian in 2008, as mentioned by Medium. “I was amazed and thrilled at the song – it was so passionate and devastatingly dramatic – but I wanted to hang on to my marriage. Eric made this public declaration of love. I resisted his attention for a long time – I didn’t want to leave my husband. But obviously when things got so excruciatingly bad for George and me, it was the end of our relationship. We both had to move on.”

Although it is now considered a timeless track, “Layla” was Derek and the Dominos’ sleeper hit that took years and a re-release to cement its legendary status in music history.

Upon its initial release in 1971, the song peaked at No. 51 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 before its 1972 reissue became a much bigger hit, reaching No. 10 on the chart.

Twenty years later, Clapton’s reimagined acoustic version of “Layla” performed for MTV Unplugged reached No. 12 on the Hot 100 in 1992.

If you have seasonal allergies, you probably dread April. So when you notice allergy symptoms in August, it may come as a rather unwelcome surprise. However, doctors note seasonal allergies aren’t just a spring (or fall) thing. In fact, for many people, allergies are worse in the summer.

“We tend to think of allergies as more of a spring issue because many of us are allergic to tree pollen, but grass pollen tends to peak in the summer months and can cause just as severe allergy symptoms,” says Dr. Michael Dosik, MD, an internist with Medical Offices of Manhattan and a contributor to labfinder.com. “People also tend to spend more time outside in the summer months, which increases people’s exposure time to outdoor allergens.”

It might also help to understand what’s going on in the body when we experience allergies (in August or any time of the year).

“Allergies are when our immune system overreacts to harmless substances such as pollen, dust or mold,” Dr. Dosik says. “When exposed to one of these allergens, our immune system releases histamine and other chemicals that cause inflammation, itching, sneezing and watery eyes.”

Dr. Dosik adds that it’s not the allergen itself causing all of the above symptoms. “It’s our own immune system’s exaggerated response,” he explains.

The good news is that you can reduce your allergy symptoms. First, doctors reveal the most common August allergy symptoms they’re seeing right now and how they differ from illnesses like COVID and flu. They also shared how to prevent and treat seasonal allergies so you can actually enjoy the dog days of summer.

The Most Common August Allergy Symptoms, Doctors Reveal

Doctors break the most common allergy symptoms they’re seeing right now into six broad categories: nasal, eyes, skin, ears, throat and overall.

“Nasal symptoms are very common and include sneezing, nasal congestion and clear, watery mucus,” Dr. Dosik notes. “Eye symptoms are also common and can include eye itching, redness, tearing, as well as eye puffiness.” 

Sadly, expected August allergy symptoms don’t stop there, at least not based on what Dr. Brintha Vasagar, MD, MPH, a family physician, is seeing. Dr. Vasagar notes you may also experience symptoms with your:

• Skin (itching, redness)
• Ears (itching, popping, feeling of fullness)
• Throat (sore throat, coughing, wheezing)

Dr. Dosik notes that people with asthma are more likely to notice wheezing triggered by allergies and may even report shortness of breath.

As for “overall” symptoms, it’s essentially a miscellaneous bucket of misery. Dr. Vasagar says your August allergies may include symptoms like:

• Fatigue
• Headaches
• Difficulty sleeping

Some of these symptoms, like coughing and nasal congestion, may sound vaguely familiar. It’s because they are. You may also experience them during bouts of COVID, flu or a cold, all of which you can get in the summer. So, how can you tell if you got unlucky and caught COVID, the flu or a cold or are “just” experiencing allergy symptoms?

“There is a lot of overlap between allergies, cold, flu and COVID,” Dr. Vasagar says. “Systemic symptoms, like fever, chills, body ache, nausea, or vomiting, can point towards cold, flu or COVID.”

When in doubt, Dr. Vasagar suggests speaking with your doctor, who can take a look at your symptoms, order any necessary tests and help diagnose you correctly.

How To Treat August Allergies

As with so many health issues, prevention (or at least risk reduction) is the best medicine for August allergies. “The best allergy treatment is reducing your exposure to the offending allergens,” Dr. Dosik says, noting that there are plenty of ways to lower your risk of having allergy symptoms.

“One of the most effective ways is to track the daily pollen count and try to limit your time outdoors on days with a high pollen count,” Dr. Dosik notes. “Changing your clothes or bathing after being outside for a time is also helpful to limit your exposure.”

Fresh air can be great, but not so much if you’re having allergy symptoms. Dr. Dosik says keeping windows closed and using your air conditioner to cool your home can help keep allergens out, minimizing your exposure.

If you do regularly get August allergies, Dr. Vasagar says corticosteroid nasal sprays are helpful, especially if you start them a few weeks before your allergy season.

“If you need more to control your symptoms, an antihistamine medication can be added,” Dr. Vasagar adds.

If you’re looking for a more “natural” treatment option, Zyrtec recently released a drug-free allergen shield spray, which provides a protecting gel barrier to stop allergy symptoms before they actually start. That said, your family medicine doctor or primary care physician can help you figure out the next steps for your specific symptoms if none of the above control your allergies.

Parks says that the SKUBB drawer dividers are “definitely worth buying from IKEA because you can use them in so many different areas of your home,” such as in dressers, bathroom drawers, junk drawers, office drawers and more.

“They’re great because they help create categories and keep items separated,” she says. “Instead of having everything thrown together in one drawer, each category has its own place, which makes it easier to find what you need and put things back when you’re done.”

2. TROFAST Frame, light white stained pine, $110.99 at IKEA

Molnar is a big fan of IKEA’s TROFAST system, especially for kids. Her favorite product is the TROFAST Frame, which can be outfitted with mesh and plastic drawers in varying colors and sizes.

“IKEA is very good about creating versatile furniture and systems, and TROFAST is one of these,” says Molnar. “They are easy to clean, and they are sturdy. And you can choose the bins tailored to the room’s needs. Shallower or deeper, colored … or plain white. This system and the bins can serve the kids for a longer period of time and can grow with them.”

3. UPPDATERA Box, $3.99 at IKEA

“These are one of those products you can literally use all over your home,” says Parks of the UPPDATERA organizing bins.

“They can be used in pantries, bathrooms, cabinets, closets, laundry rooms, offices and even deep drawers where they can work almost like drawer dividers,” she adds. “They come in different sizes, have a clean look and they’re also really affordable.”

4. RASSLA, Organizer with 5 compartments, $12.99 at IKEA

“This RASSLA hanging organizer is a great addition if you need to ‘extend’ your closet space,” says Molnar, noting that it makes use of vertical space. “It’s super easy to add, and you immediately have space for a couple more pairs of jeans, sweaters, bags or shoes.”

5. SAMLA Box with lid, clear, $9.99 at IKEA

Parks loves using the SAMLA box for long-term storage for items like “holiday decorations, memorabilia, kids’ clothing, seasonal items and so much more.” She recommends the 12-gallon size ($9.99), but this tote actually comes in six sizes, with prices ranging from $4.99 to $37.99.

“I love that you can easily see what’s inside,” Parks adds. “These are especially great for ‘out of sight, out of mind’ people. Being able to quickly look at a tote and have an idea of what’s inside just makes it so much easier to find things when you need them.”

That said, Molnar is not the biggest fans of the SAMLA containers, mainly because they don’t have fasteners. “You will miss the latches that other clear bins with lids usually have,” she says. “Save yourself a headache, especially if you like to stuff your bins to the fullest.”

6. RÅSKOG Utility cart, $39.99 at IKEA

“I love rolling carts because there are so many different ways you can use them,” says Parks. “The fact that you can easily move them around makes them even better.”

Some of her favorite uses for the RÅSKOG carts are in the playroom for art supplies, in your bedroom for nightstand overflow and in a walk-in pantry for extra storage.

7. DRÖNA Box, $4.99 at IKEA

“These fabric boxes are a must and can be used anywhere around the house,” Molnar says of the DRÖNA boxes. She adds that “they look clean and simple” and are compatible with the popular KALLAX series from IKEA.

“Visual clutter is stressful and frustrating,” says Molnar. “But with these bins, you can easily reduce visual clutter immediately by collecting items like clothes or toys into one bin.”

3 Organizing Items From IKEA That Professional Organizers Don’t Recommend 1. KLIPPKAKTUS Storage box for fridge, set of 3, $7.99 at IKEA

“Fridge organizing containers can sometimes hurt more than they help,” says Parks. “They look great in photos, but I don’t always think they’re realistic for everyday life. They can take up valuable space inside your fridge, get dirty quickly and be a pain to keep up and wash.”

Parks is OK with a few fridge bins to help keep smaller snacks such as fruit cups organized, but she would never recommend anyone fill their fridge with tons of storage containers. “They’re great in theory and can look very aesthetic, but for most households, I think keeping your refrigerator simple is easier to maintain,” she adds.

2. BUMERANG Hanger, $7.99/8 pack at IKEA

“I wouldn’t waste money on wood hangers like these BUMERANG Hangers,” says Molnar. “They give you a clean look, but they are chunky, and they take up so much space in the wardrobe. I would skip these and switch to the velvet hangers.”

However, Parks actually doesn’t mind these hangers—so long as they’re not the only ones in your wardrobe.

“I don’t think you need wood hangers for every single thing in your closet, but I do like them for heavier items like coats, jackets, suits and nicer dresses,” Parks explains. “They’re stronger and higher quality than your typical plastic hanger and can hold heavier clothing without bending.”

3. JONAXEL Storage combination,$49.99 at IKEA

Though the JONAXEL Storage combination may look practical, “the wire shelves can limit what you’re able to store, especially when it comes to smaller items that can fall through or sit awkwardly,” says Parks.

“You may end up needing additional bins or liners just to make the shelves work for what you have, so you’d have to spend additional money just to make it work,” she explains. “I also wouldn’t choose this for storing a lot of heavier items. I’d rather put the money toward a sturdier storage piece that gives you more flexibility and can hold up better over time.”

At the age of 80, actor Tim Curry died peacefully at his home in Los Angeles on Aug. 25. TMZ was the first to report the news.

Curry is most well-known for his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, both the 1975 film and stage reprise. He also starred as Wadsworth in 1985’s Clue, played Mr. Hector in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, and the pirate villain Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island.

To honor his legacy in Hollywood, fellow actor Melissa Gilbert took to social media to pay tribute to Curry.

“Ok 2026, you can stop now,” the Little House on the Prairie star wrote. “I don’t know how to explain how much I enjoyed watching this man on film, in interviews, and on stage. These last several days have just been heartache on heartache on heartache. Please stop! Mr Curry, may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”

A few hours before her tribute to Curry, Gilbert also honored Dolly Parton with a post. Like Curry, Parton passed away on Aug. 25 at the same age of 80. Later, Gilbert also paid tribute to actress Shelley Fabares, who passed away on Aug. 22.

While the cause of death for Curry is not yet known, LAPD confirmed to People that police officers responded to a call for service on Tuesday at 11:20 p.m. They completed a death investigation for a male in his 80s at home in North Hollywood. At this time, no other information is known.

Over the past decade, Curry was transparent about his health struggles. In 2012, he suffered from a near-fatal stroke, which left him with lasting mobility issues. In a final interview with USA Today, he said that at the time, his health had been “pretty good,” although he had been carrying an aneurysm in his abdomen, not knowing when or if it would rupture.

“The whole thing’s been scary,” Curry revealed.

Target is at the center of a serious backlash over a children’s costume. The retailer recently pulled the Halloween item from its stores after the “Kids’ Glows under Blacklight Circus Circus” outfit sparked criticism over a product photo that evoked Jim Crow-era blackface and minstrel imagery. 

After shoppers slammed Target, the chain issued an apology statement, posting on Instagram, “We removed an offensive Halloween costume that should never have been part of our assortment. It is no longer for sale. As a company, we got this wrong, and we are deeply sorry.”

The statement continued, “We know this is especially hurtful for our Black guests, team members and partners. Removing the costume is an important first step, and we are looking closely at how this happened and what needs to change to ensure this won’t happen again.”

But the story doesn’t end there. The company’s apology did not go over well. Actress Viola Davis recently posted a scathing rebuke on Instagram, writing a poignant piece: “Target, I do not accept your apology, and I do not believe that you understand the impact…the pain…the dehumanization of the above.”

Davis added, “These images laid the foundation and the ideology for every atrocity that has been committed against my people. We MATTER!! You have shown us that you are not on OUR side.” 

The actress’s fans flocked ot her post, sharing the same sentiment. “This is why DEI existed because companies cannot be trusted to do the right thing unless they’re forced to”, “Target’s been getting a lot of things wrong lately. These aren’t mistakes; once they are seen, you can’t take it back. Sorry Target, not sorry,” and “This is not a mistake or oversight. Not a single human can look at this and not understand what this represents. I don’t care if it is the only store in the city, I am not setting foot inside a Target.”

Criticism of Target’s apology didn’t stop there. When CNN reported the story and shared it on Instagram, plenty of people jumped on the post to give their opinions.

“That’s what happens when there’s no People’s of Color in the room. Imagine how many signatures were needed to get this costume into production and marketing?” responded one commenter.

Others replied, “That costume clearly and explicitly showed the racism of the past that is still rampant today,” and, “Target, these are not mistakes. They are intentional!”

Target has not responded to Davis’s comment. 

Tim Curry’s death has sent fans back to one of his most beloved movies, where they noticed a painful coincidence involving three familiar faces.

Curry, Catherine O’Hara, and Brenda Fricker all appeared in the 1992 holiday favorite Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. All three died in 2026, within seven months of one another.

A viral Instagram post highlighting the connection drew thousands of reactions as viewers mourned the actors and expressed concern for Macaulay Culkin, who played Kevin McCallister.

Fricker played the Pigeon Lady, the lonely Central Park resident who forms a touching friendship with him. Curry delivered one of the sequel’s funniest performances as Mr. Hector, the suspicious Plaza Hotel concierge determined to expose Kevin.

No public evidence suggests their deaths were connected. Still, losing three members of the same cherished cast during one year struck fans as an unsettling coincidence.

O’Hara died Friday, January 30, at 71. According to The Associated Press, a death certificate listed a pulmonary embolism as her immediate cause of death, with rectal cancer as the underlying cause.

Fricker died Thursday, July 16, at Our Lady’s Hospice in Dublin. The Oscar-winning Irish actress was 81 and had experienced a period of ill health, according to RTÉ.

Curry died peacefully at his Los Angeles home on Tuesday, August 25, his manager confirmed to The Associated Press the following day. He was 80. Curry’s cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

One wrote: “A lot of people don’t recognize that Brenda Fricker was probably affected by the death of Catherine O Hara and Tim Curry was probably affected by both of those losses. Makes sense there would be cast clusters like that.”

There is no public evidence showing that grief played a role in either later death.

The observation remains fan speculation. For many viewers, the coincidence changed the emotional weight of a movie they revisit every Christmas. Wrote another: “Watching home alone will never be the same anymore Rest In Peace Catherine, Tim and Brenda😢.”

Another shared, “That just broke me even more😢 Mr. Grim is taking the wrong 80 year olds 😩💔🕊️.” Another fan wrote: “The grim reaper seems to be picking off the wrong actors in that movie.”

A similar Reddit thread captured the same sense of loss. The post, which received more than 2,000 upvotes, featured images of O’Hara, Fricker and Curry beneath the caption, “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is going to be painful to watch for this year’s Christmas!”

With only six home chefs remaining in the MasterChef: Global Gauntlet season, it was time for the Restaurant Takeover challenge as the competition to win the grand prize of $250,000 and the trophy awarded by host/judge Gordon Ramsay, judge Joe Bastianich and judge Tiffany Derry continued tonight.

With so few remaining chefs, the six home chefs were divided into the Red Team and the Blue Team, meaning the division into regions of the world — Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe and The Americas, which started the season, are no longer applicable..

For the “Restaurant Takeover” episode, Jake Kelley, Heidi Muston and Julia Cili comprised the Blue Team with Jake serving as captain, while Dave Patera, Peter Egede, and Basia Newman made up the Red Team with Basia as captain. Both teams put their skills to the ultimate test as they took over Cluny Bistro for a packed dinner service.

By the end of the night, one cook did not survive the dinner rush.

The Red Team – Basia, Peter and Dave – finished in the bottom, with Joe telling them if it was one of his restaurants, they would have been fired on the spot.

But it was also clear that Dave, who had so much trouble cooking the salmon that Gordon took over at one point, was the one to go home – and that’s what happened even though Basia was the captain.

“Tonight was really tough but at this level, there’s no room for mistakes,” Dave said. “I struggled in the kitchen tonight, but I’m really proud of what I’ve been able to do during my time on MasterChef. I’ve made so many friends in this kitchen, and it’s been an amazing journey. It’s been so incredible to show Moroccan and North African food to the world. I am walking away from MasterChef today, but I feel I’ve grown so much since I’ve been here, so I look forward to continuing on my journey.”

Manilow has largely received high praise from concertgoers, especially during his “Sin City” residency with dates scheduled through December 2026. But recent technical glitches forced one show to end early, followed by more cancellations at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.

Behind the scenes, however, more rest may have been needed, as Manilow spoke directly to fans on Instagram this week to reveal a much-needed break from performing for a hard reset:

“Hi everybody – Barry here. And I want you to be the first to know that we’re going to take a quick break,” he began. “We just finished a fantastic summer tour. 29 shows in 68 days. The shows were fantastic. The audiences were fantastic. And I sounded fantastic. But it seems that we were pushing a little too hard.”

He added, “Now we all need to sit down and shut up. So, we’re going to take a break until we return to the Westgate Las Vegas on October 8th. When I’ll be singing like a bird. I hope to see you then.”

If all goes according to plan, it won’t be long before the music legend is back behind the microphone fulfilling his lifetime residency with Westgate doing what he’s done for more than five decades.

The Daltrey drought is over. The legendary lead singer and founder of The Who has returned to the stage, with last Sunday’s performance serving as his first in more than a year.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, Roger Daltrey kicked off his U.S. solo tour, A Great Night Out, with a 19-song concert that bounced through classic Who tunes, like “Who Are You” and “The Kids Are Alright,” and solo tracks, such as “Waiting for a Friend” and “Days of Light.”

Fans were also serenaded with a string of stellar covers that included renditions of Pete Townshend’s “Let My Love Open the Door,” Taj Mahal’s “Freedom Ride,” Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” and Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World.”

The outlet also reported that Daltrey took a moment to honor late Who drummer Keith Moon on what would have been his 80th birthday by leading the audience through a tender rendition of “Happy Birthday.”

“With my present lineup of nine musicians, I have this opportunity to see your beautiful country and enjoy the hospitality you have shown me over so many years,” Daltrey told Rolling Stone about the tour. “I’ll be off the backing tracks and always searching for different soundscapes to present the songs. It’s a lot of fun and gives me the chance to have a great night out.”

An English singer-songwriter, Daltrey first assembled the band that would become The Who in 1961, recruiting John Entwistle before Pete Townshend joined. Moon came aboard in 1964. Daltrey defined the swagger and raw energy of classic rock with his iconic vocals on anthems like “My Generation,” “Baba O’Riley,” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”

In 1973, Daltrey launched his solo career while still performing with The Who, releasing 10 studio albums, including Daltrey and As Long as I Have You.

Two years later, the powerhouse frontman made his biggest film splash with Tommy, Ken Russell’s gonzo adaptation of The Who’s 1969 rock opera of the same name. The effort was rewarded handsomely by critics and fans, and even earned a Golden Globe nomination.

In 1990, Daltrey and The Who were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Later, in 2025, Daltrey received a knighthood from the British monarchy for his services to music and charity, which include supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust in the U.K., co-founding Teen Cancer America, and raising tens of millions of dollars for youth cancer wards and research.

Following The Who’s North American farewell tour, Daltrey is now on his U.S. solo tour. A Great Night Out does just what its name suggests: features a semi-acoustic, rock-driven band, reimagined arrangements of Who classics and solo favorites, with plenty of surprises and nothing but a good time at its core.

Daltrey has noted that retirement might be around the corner and that this tour could be his final major solo jaunt.

“After finishing The Who’s final tour of the U.S., it’s time for me as a solo artist to do the same possibly,” Daltrey told Rolling Stone. “After touring solo with different bands of musicians for the last 17 years, a less grueling life becomes more attractive–I’ll see.”

A Great Night Out, which began Aug. 23 in Mesa, Arizona, at the Mesa Arts Center, now runs through Oct. 3, when Daltrey will close the North American trek in Selbyville, Delaware, at the Freeman Arts Center. Tickets are on sale now at thewho.com/tour.
