Days of Our Lives fan favorite Robert Scott Wilson is hyping up his character, Alex Kiriakis, and his upcoming storyline as game-changing, one viewers will definitely want to tune in for.

Erin Goldsby recently interviewed Wilson for The Soap Scene, where he discussed his current storyline, balancing his life with his wife, Stephanie (Abigail Klein), and the reintroduction of Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) and his daughter Kelsey Kiriakis.

During the conversation, Wilson teased that an upcoming big storyline for his character. “It’s a bombshell, it’s an absolute bombshell that, you know, rocks Alex to his core,” he shared.

Wilson went on to describe the storyline as one that “makes him [Alex] question everything,” including his family, “the woman he loves,” as well as who he is.

The actor explained that the storyline is “everything tied up in one bombshell,” and, as excited as he is for viewers to see things play out, he added that it will be a “heavy one” and that viewers should be prepared to watch the journey unfold.

No specific storyline details or timeline have been revealed at this point; however, due to Days of Our Lives’ advance filming schedule, it is expected that the storyline will play out within the next ten months.

Alex has been involved in many front-burner storylines since his conception in 1989, as the product of an affair between Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) and Anjelica Deveraux (Jane Elliot, later Judith Chapman, most recently played briefly by Morgan Fairchild). Initially believed to be the son of Harper Deveraux (Joseph Campanella), it was quickly revealed that Harper was sterile and unable to have children. Justin’s uncle Victor (John Aniston) attempted to cover everything up by marrying Anjelica and posing as Alex’s father, before the truth was exposed.

Viewers will have to stay tuned to figure out exactly what this “bombshell” storyline is and how it ties into the history of the character.

Peter Cullen, an actor best known for voicing Optimus Prime in the Transformers franchise, has died at the age of 85.

TMZ was the first to report the news, although there was a post on X (formerly Twitter) that initially shared the passing and was considered a hoax at first.

He died peacefully at home on Aug. 26, 2026.

An official cause of death has not been released at the time of writing this. We will update when we know more.

The TMZ report shares that his family shared that he was at home, surrounded by his family, with the family asking everyone to remember the legacy he leaves behind.

The full statement reads: “Peter Cullen passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family – and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide. His family asks that you honor his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty and always remember ‘be strong enough to be gentle.'”

The 85-year-old actor was best known for voicing Optimus Prime in the Transformers franchise, starting with the original 1980s animated TV series. He then returned to voice the character in the Michael Bay movies, where he brought one of the most epic of speeches to Peter.

Another iconic character he voiced as Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh, a franchise that turns 100 in 2026, and he returned for The Tigger Movie in 2000 and many more including Pooh’s Heffalump Movie in 2005. On top of that, he was the voice of Mario in the Donkey Kong animated series in the 1980s.

As for movies, he continued to lend his voice to some of the most legendary characters, including Predator in the 1987 movie of the same name.

Fans immediately took to social media to express the loss, especially in the days following the deaths of Dolly Parton and Tim Curry.

One noted on Instagram, “You have no idea how much this hurts my heart. RIP Sir Peter Cullen.”

A second shared their shock at the number of celebrities passing away recently, “Oh no… a fourth death in less than 10 days?!?! RIP. Goodbye Optimus!”

Someone quickly followed up with, “this would be the 5th death!”

It’s strange to think that, in an alternative universe, the late great Tim Curry served as the main voice for Gotham City’s Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker.

While that honor eventually went to Star Wars alum Mark Hamill, Curry originally served as the voice of the character in the iconic TV show, Batman: The Animated Series.

Introducing a darker, more sophisticated version of Batman’s arch enemy than fans were used to seeing, Curry’s time on the show proved incredibly short-lived.

After the actor developed a serious case of bronchitis that halted his voice acting abilities, the producers wound up replacing him with Hamill, who redubbed all of Curry’s work within the series up to that point in time.

In the decades since, many of Batman: The Animated Series’ cast and crew have spoken about the “terrifying” rendition of the Joker that Curry left behind.

“Tim came with a natural theatrical sort of presence with his delivery, which was something we definitely wanted,” said producer Eric Radmoski (via Looper). “We didn’t want the Joker to be a bumbling, goofy, idiot.”

Series star Kevin Conroy, who famously voiced the role of Batman throughout his career, added that Curry left quite an impression behind for his role as the Joker, calling his portrayal of the character “crazy scary.”

Comparing both Curry and Hamill, Conroy explained, “Mark was the second Joker that we dealt with. The original actor was Tim Curry. He’s a fantastic actor. He’s a wonderful actor with a great career, and they replaced him after a couple of episodes. Because Tim’s Joker was dark and scary. Mark came in and did a Joker that was dark and funny. So it was just a different take on the Joker.”

Elaborating on the differences in another interview, Conroy continued, “Tim was great as the Joker. Tim was scary, ‘lock up the kids, don’t let them see it’ scary. Like sick, demented scary Joker. Mark is scary funny, like this is a great rollercoaster ride. Tim was fantastic. He was just doing it like it was a gothic horror show.”

His agent told the outlet that he died on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at his Los Angeles home. No cause of death has been released at the time of publishing.

“Peter Cullen passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family – and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide. His family asks that you honor his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty and always remember ‘be strong enough to be gentle,'” his family said in a statement in TMZ.

Cullen first stepped into the role of Optimus Prime in the original 1980s “Transformers” animated TV series. He then returned for the Michael Bay movies.

“The phenomenon of Transformers itself is mind-shaking,” he said in a past interview. “Being a part of it is not only historical, it’s a part of your life that says, ‘Gee, I’m glad.’ I did something in my life that stood out, and I’m really grateful for that. Humbled by it.”

He is also known for voicing Predator in the 1987 “Predator” film, as well as Eeyore in the 1988-91 series The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Monterey Jack in “Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers.”

Following the news, tributes poured in for the legendary voice actor.

“This is getting out of hand. My childhood is dying left and right. Rip to Peter,” one person commented.

“First Dolly, then Tim, and now Peter?! Why are so many amazing talents passing away?!,” another person wrote.

“R.I.P. Peter Cullen, he was truly a legend, he will forever be our prime,” a fan said.

“I’m sending my condolences to peter cullen family and friends and he was very talented voice actor for so many iconic characters,” another fan posted.

Dolly Parton was a friend to all — even muppets.

While Miss Piggy is Kermit the Frog‘s forever No. 1 girl, Parton was certainly a close second. They shared the stage on a few occasions, but their 1987 cover of Sly Stone’s “Everyday People” is special, especially in the days following the country music icon’s death at the age of 80.

Sung as a duet, Parton and Kermit had undeniable chemistry. This rendition, seen below, was part of an episode of Parton’s variety show, Dolly. While The Muppet Show was notorious for inviting A-list guest stars onto its set, Kermit the Frog got to experience the red carpet treatment himself when he was invited to perform on Dolly in 1987.

The scene — the “Dolly’s Date” segment — found Kermit and Ms. Parton on barstools in a bar. After cracking a few punny frog jokes, they got right to it, with Parton’s 100-Watt smile practically lighting up the set.

Dolly ran twice as a series, in the 1970s and the 1980s. This iteration, which aired on ABC, was on television for less than a year — Sept. 1987 through May of 1988 — but she welcomed a long list of superstar guests in that time. Bruce Willis, Oprah Winfrey, Tammy Wynette, Merle Haggard, and even Miss Piggy graced the stage of the comedy hour.

The “Jolene” singer died in her hometown of Nashville, Tenn., on Aug. 25 after a brief battle with cancer. Tributes flooded in immediately after the news broke, with messages of shock and love coming from all over the world. Even The Muppets had to pay their respects to a woman who “filled the world with light.”

“She was the ultimate singer, songwriter, actress, performer, and philanthropist,” a note on The Muppets’ Instagram account reads. “We are so grateful for every second we got to spend with her onstage and off.”

And they’re right — there will never be another quite like Dolly Parton.

As for “Everyday People,” it was written by frontman Sly Stone in 1968 and became Sly & the Family Stone’s first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in early 1969, as well as on the Soul Singles chart. 

Billboard even ranked it as the No. 5 song of 1969. 

18 years later, Parton and Kermit gave it an unforgettable spin.

When news broke that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were returning to the UK, many questioned why. Then the topic of Markle’s acting career came up, as she reportedly entered talks to land a role in Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen Season 3.

Since then, there have been reports denying it and others making it clear that it is still a possibility. Netflix has finally reacted to the claims, offering a cryptic update shortly after the official renewal of The Gentlemen Season 3.

At first, it looked like Markle wouldn’t join the series. While Ritchie initially had some potential intentions, the backlash from the viewer base led to conversations coming to an end. However, Netflix now says “all bets are off” when it comes to a potential role.

It’s one of the most cryptic clues going. The statement came while Netflix’s scripted chief in the UK, Manda Levin, spoke to people at the Edinburgh TV Festival on Aug. 26, 2026. She refused to expand on that point, hinting that talks could still be ongoing.

Talks had started before The Gentlemen even landed an official greenlight for Season 3. That came this week, just ahead of the Season 2 release on Netflix. The second season will premiere on Sept. 3, 2026, and eyes are on how Eddie will take on a new role within the drug empire that was secretly running on his family’s estate.

Markle’s last acting role was Suits back in 2017, where she played Rachel Zane. She remained with the show for seven years before stepping away, and then shortly after that, she stepped away from acting completely after marrying Prince Harry. The two originally had working royal duties, but that ended in 2020, and shortly after that, they moved to California. However, she did recently play a version of herself on the Prime Video series Close Personal Friends.

The move back to the UK comes as a shock to many, but some have speculated that it’s due to Netflix dropping its deal with the Duchess of Sussex and canceling her show, With Love, Meghan, after two seasons. Prince Harry and Markle landed in the UK on Aug. 26, and their children are already enrolled in school for September, so while it’s unclear how long they’re staying, it looks like it’s long enough to affect Archie and Lilibet’s education.

Series creator Norman Lear took real-world arguments, politics, and social tension right out of American living rooms and put them on primetime, and millions of viewers were completely hooked.

Led by Carroll O’Connor’s legendary performance as the series loudmouth lead character, the show turned taboo topics into Tuesday night watercooler talk. More than half a century later, Lear’s bold CBS masterpiece still stands as one of the bravest, funniest, and most influential shows to ever air on television.

The song remains so legendary that Movie Web ranked it in a 2026 list as one of the Greatest Television Shows of the 1970s. They wrote, “Through its clever comedy, the show was essential to introduce mainstream television to subjects that wouldn’t have worked in any other setting.”

Some of the taboo topics All in the Family tackled were racism, integration, feminism, homophobia, politics, religion, and antisemitism. While these issues were regularly discussed in mainstream media, the comedy series was the first to bring them to American living rooms, bookended with jokes.

REMIND Magazine featured the episodes as one of the series’ most groundbreaking. It was the first time depictions of sexual assault were shown in a primetime sitcom.

In Season 8, the episode titled “Edith’s 50th Birthday” aired on October 16, 1977. The two-part episode began innocently, with Archie, Gloria (Sally Struthers), and Mike (Rob Reiner) planning a surprise 50th birthday party for Edith.

She answered a knock at the door from a man claiming to be a police detective tracking a predator in the neighborhood. However he was the real predator and the atmosphere on the episode immediately shifted to heart-stopping suspense.

As Edith confronted her attacker, she realized she had to think quickly to escape. She realized her cake was burning, and in an instant, she pushed the pan into her attacker’s face, pushed him out the door, and escaped.

Lear told The Hollywood Reporter of the scene, “I never heard a bigger sound on television than when Edith got away from the guy who was attempting to rape her. That was an explosion.” He added, “For the episode that dealt with Edith’s attempted rape, we consulted a woman who specialized in that area. As a result of all the press that episode got, she started the Rape Treatment Center in Santa Monica, which has had a huge influence on the issue across the country.”

24 might have been one of the most popular TV series of its era, but one notable cast member expressed some harsh feelings about their involvement in the award-winning thriller series.

In an interview with ABC News back in 2014, 24 star Freddie Prinze Jr. revealed his “terrible” experiences working on the show, thanks in large part to what he viewed as an unfavorable working relationship with Kiefer Sutherland.

“I did 24, and it was terrible. I hated every moment of it,” Prinze explained. “Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That’s not me talking trash. I’d say it to his face. I think everyone that’s worked with him has said that.”

Prinze went on to explain that his time on the show weighed so heavily on him, he briefly left acting behind for a time, saying the show “made me want to quit the business.”

For a time, Prinze went on to work with WWE as a writer, recalling that his experiences working with the famously colorful promotion was less negative than his time with Sutherland.

“I went and worked for Vince McMahon at the WWE for Christ’s sake, and it was a crazier job than working with Kiefer,” the Scooby Doo star said. “But at least he was cool and tall. I didn’t have to take my shoes off to do scenes with him, which they made me do. Just put the guy on an apple box or don’t hire me next time. You know I’m six feet and he’s five four.”

Responding to Prinze’s claims, Sutherland’s representatives shared a statement reflecting on the two actors’ time together on 24.

“Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze Jr. more than five years ago, and this is the first he has heard of Freddie‘s grievances,” Sutherland’s representative told The Hollywood Reporter. “Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best.”

This has been an ongoing question in the Clancy case, with many people confused about Patrick’s testimony. While on the witness stand, Patrick said that Lindsay told him that she tried to take her own life. He also said that when he asked her where their three children were, she told him that they were in the basement.

Testimony from emergency personnel who arrived on the scene after Patrick called 911 revealed that Lindsay was unable to speak—that she was moaning and mumbling while on the ground.

In an effort to clear up these seemingly contradicting statements, NewsNation’s Brian Entin asked Lindsay’s attorney for clarification. Entin caught up with Reddington on Aug. 26, one day before closing arguments were set to take place.

“Did Lindsay speak when she was outside on the ground? Because it was confusing that the psychiatrist said that Patrick said she did, but then…”

“I wouldn’t believe him if he said, in the middle of a blizzard, that it was snowing out, okay? So, I don’t care what the psychiatrist said,” Reddington replied.

He went on to clearly state that his client was “unable to speak…she just moaned and made grunting noises, that’s all.”

When Entin followed up with, “so why would Patrick say that?” Reddington responded, “How do I know?”

Lindsay, 36, has pleaded not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility to killing her three young children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, at the family’s home in Duxbury in January 2023. The defense is arguing that Lindsay was experiencing postpartum psychosis and is not criminially responsible for the murders.

After closing arguments, the jury will deliberate, taking all of the evidence and testimony into consideration. The jury has been given the following options when it comes to the case’s outcome: First-degree murder, Second-degree murder, Manslaughter, Not guilty, or Not criminally responsible by reason of insanity.

This is not a drill. Widespread Panic has just announced a string of live shows, starting next month, and new archival live album.

Following the latest release from the Southern rock outfit’s multi-track archive series, Albany 2000, the band begins its fall run in September with a couple of sold-out shows in North Carolina, with seven more through the end of October.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, longtime keyboardist and vocalist John “JoJo” Hermann will also make several solo appearances. For dates, tickets, and venues, head to their official website.

Formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1986, Widespread Panic grew out of a musical partnership between University of Georgia students John “JB” Bell and late guitarist Michael Houser, who began playing together several years earlier. The band became known for its fusion of Southern rock, blues, funk, and progressive influences—and for a relentless touring schedule that earned it “road warrior” status.

The band’s current lineup features Bell, Hermann, Dave Schools, Domingo “Sunny” Ortiz, Jimmy Herring/Nick Johnson, and Duane Trucks.

With several of their newly announced shows already sold out, Widespread Panic seems to be staying loyal to their past. A look back at their history reveals their legendary attendance records with nearly 80 sold-out shows at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, per the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. And in Athens, they drew an estimated 100,000 people for a 1998 live album release party. The show was free, but still.

Beyond headlining Bonnaroo eight times and being inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2008, the guys have 16 albums that have charted on the Billboard 200, with Dirty Side Down, their 2010 record, climbing as high as No. 27.  

Their latest archival release, Albany 2000, is the 21st installment in the band’s multi-track archive series. Recorded April 9, 2000, at the Albany Civic Center in Albany, Georgia, it’s set for digital and streaming release this Friday, Aug. 28.

“If you can allow yourself to be absurd, you can generate ideas that can be groundbreaking or unique … and also, you throw the rulebook out the window,” Widespread Panic bassist Schools told Live for Live Music about the band’s philosophy behind making music. “When you throw the rulebook out the window and allow for absurdity, suddenly your ego vanishes.”​

If history is any indication, booking tickets and purchasing records via these guys sooner rather than later—ego or not—is advised.

Kehlani has issued an apology after being forced to cancel two of her upcoming shows due to health issues.

The singer, who won the Grammys for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song for her hit song “Folded,” shared an update on Instagram on Aug. 26—just hours before she was scheduled to go on stage.

“After two off days feeling completely normal, I’ve been up all night unable to swallow & in so much pain,” her Instagram post read. “I just left the hospital & am not cleared to sing for the next two shows. I’m so sorry Camden & DC. My team is working on a solution. Breaks my heart to ever do this. I do everything I’m supposed to to ensure my health stays up to par & it still isn’t guaranteed. We will pick back up in Virginia.”

Some fans who had tickets for Kehlani’s show were upset with the late notice, but others understood and wished Kehlani a speedy recovery.

“Yes come back and see us in DC in the fall when the mosquitoes are gone!! Feel better!!” one person wrote.

“May you be able to rest and recover your vocals. I’m sure everyone will understand,” someone else said.

“Kehlani i love you but the show was supposed to start in like 3-4 hours,” a third comment read.

In an interview with Billboard earlier this month, Kehlani discussed her mental health.

“I am clinically diagnosed as bipolar. I take medicine. I have to go to the gym; it’s not an option,” she told the outlet. “I have to do yoga, take walks. I have to spend time in nature: sit in the park or go wiggle my toes in somebody’s grass. I have to build a relationship with God. I have to pray.”

“You get in this cycle where you wake up at 6 p.m. because you were at the studio until 7 a.m. You’ve missed a whole day of sunshine. There’s no meal. You go back to the studio at 8 p.m. You grind or die. I have to have a routine supporting my wellness so I can freaking survive,” she added.

Kehlani’s next scheduled tour date is Aug. 29 in Richmond, Virginia. She has upcoming shows worldwide through February 2027.

Josh Radnor, who played Ted Mosby on How I Met Your Mother, recently spoke about his feelings about the iconic character. When appearing on the August 16 episode of the “Half the Picture” podcast, he revealed that playing the character for so long created “a feeling of like slight claustrophobia.”

When speaking about his character, a hopeless romantic who occasionally took his gestures too far, Radnor said, “I think of him as my younger, slightly annoying brother, where I love him, and I want the best for him, and I also go, ‘Why would you do that? Like, why would you behave that way?’”

He added, “There were times where, you know, it’s kind of the thing of like, ‘Is this romantic or is this illegal? Is this like stalking?’”

Radnor also discussed the difficulties of playing the same character for such a long period of time. How I Met Your Mother ran for nine seasons, spanning from 2005 until 2014.

“You get into it because you want to play this role and then this role and then this role, and then you get cast in a show that goes nine years, and it’s like your psyche was not programmed for that,” he explained. “You didn’t think you’d be playing one guy for 208 episodes, nine years.”

However, Radnor had nice words about the character as well. “I do think that Ted as a character has aged pretty well because I think that he was ultimately like a very well-intentioned, sweet, kind, loyal person,” he said. “I often think his best qualities were not as a boyfriend, but as a friend. I think he would drop anything for his friends.”

Since starring on How I Met Your Mother, Radnor has performed in stage productions like Hit Machine and shows like Mt Mystic Rangers. Radnor is also the co-host of the “How We Made Your Mother” rewatch podcast, along with co-creator Craig Thomas. Charles M. Schulz wrote thousands of Peanuts comic strips over nearly five decades, giving the world more Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, and the rest of the gang than any single childhood could contain. Still, there are those funny pages that have a way of sticking with you over the years.

And according to MovieWeb, one 1967 newspaper classic stands above the rest. The outlet recently ranked its 10 best Peanuts strips of the 1960s, with “Snoopy Received Valentine’s Day Cards” taking the No. 1 spot.

Published in the Feb. 12, 1967, paper, the comic strip features “Good ol’ Charlie Brown” eagerly checking the mailbox as Valentine’s Day approaches. Pleasantly surprised by the massive amount of letters that come swooshing out, he begins sorting the mail, first with a valentine addressed to his loyal beagle, Snoopy.

“Here you are, Snoopy … There’s even one for you … How about that?” he says. “Well! Here’s another one for you … This is your lucky day.”

As Chuck continues going through the mail, Snoopy’s stack of valentines grows. By the time readers get to the final panel, Snoopy has collected all the envelopes, leaving Schulz’s iconic “blockhead” empty-handed.

“I can’t stand it,” he says. “I just can’t stand it.”

The half-page, full-color funny was adapted in the 1975 holiday special Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown, 2002’s A Charlie Brown Valentine, and in the episode “A Little Love” from the 2014 TV series Peanuts. See the strip in full here.

The beauty of Peanuts is its simplicity. And how something as simple as a multi-panel comic strip can take readers right back to their childhoods.

Debuting in October 1950, the strip had firmly established its characters by the 1960s, becoming a massive pop culture phenomenon that leaped from the page to the screen, the stage, and the merch shelves—somehow never losing its popularity across generations.

By the end of the Peanuts strip’s original run, the comics appeared in more than 2,600 newspapers in 75 countries. Now, 76 years later, the magic of Peanuts continues.

Apple TV+ recently released a brand-new Peanuts special, Snoopy Presents: There’s No Place Like Home. The half-hour program features Sally holding a yard sale and accidentally selling Snoopy’s pride and joy–his doghouse–prompting Chuck and the gang to help him find it and bring it home.

The streaming platform also announced Snoopy Unleashed, an animated feature film scheduled for 2027. According to streamer, the movie will introduce Charlie Brown’s mysterious longtime pen pal, Mia, who has never been seen in the strip.

“Back Stabbers” was a popular soul song released by The O’Jays in 1972. The song reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and rose all the way to No. 1 on the Hot Soul Singles chart. It was officially certified as a gold single 54 years ago.

In an interview with National Public Radio, pianist Leon Huff said, “’Back Stabbers’ sounds like something eerie, so that roll was like something horrible, because that’s what back stabbers are. It reflected that type of drama.”

Huff added, “Our dream was to play so many counter-melodies that came with those songs, and the orchestra was able to put that together. Plus, stereo radio had just come around, and you had a lot of space to fill up. Stereo was much more soothing than mono, so we thought about the mixes we could do. The music was funky and classical at the same time.”

Singer Eddie Levert also spoke about the song in an interview with John Doran. “Now ‘Back Stabbers’ was one of my favorite songs,” he said. “We started out with the sheet music. We started out with the piano and me, Walter, William and [Gene] McFadden and [John] Whitehead [composer] standing around the piano. And then when they did the rhythm track, it became special. And then when we recorded the vocals, it became extra special. And then when they put the top on it, it became extra, extra, extra special. And then when I heard it [for the first time] on the radio in the middle of Colorado, and it became extra, extra, extra, extra super special.”

When asked whether it was autobiographical, he said, “No, I just think we were just relating to the world and what goes on in the world and what still goes on.”

The O’Jays had several more hits throughout the years, including “Love Train” and “For the Love of Money.” The band was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame.

Henry Winkler has long been an idol for TV fans due to his long-running role as Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli on Happy Days in the 1970s and 1980s. But the man who played the Fonz is a bit of a fan boy himself.

During an August 2026 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Winkler, 80, spoke about his music idols, some of whom he has been lucky enough to meet.

“I love Brandy Carlile,” Winkler told guest host Jelly Roll. “I have [seen her in concert] twice. And, you know, I can’t leave the venue without giving her a hug. So I wait like a nine-year-old girl. And then see her friend was Joni Mitchell that night. So I’m hugging Brandi, and I see Joni Mitchell, and I said, ‘Excuse me.’  I went in, and I said, ‘Hello, my name is Henry Winkler.’ She said, ‘I know who you are.’”

Winkler noted that he then introduced the music legend to his wife, Stacey Weitzman.

“Then I said, ‘Oh, this is my wife Stacey,’” Winkler shared. “And she went, ‘Oh, so you’re the one who married the Fonz!’”

Winkler once admitted he gets nervous when he meets celebrities he looks up to.

“I have a hard time with musicians,” the actor told NME in 2024. “I get tongue-tied. They’re my heroes. …I went backstage and met Brandi one time – and then I got to meet her friend, the majestic queen that is Joni Mitchell, who was in a room next to her.”

“I met John Lennon,” he added. “He brought his son Julian to the set of Happy Days. It’s one of the most important pictures I have in my house… I tried to have a conversation with John and he was very shy. It was really hard to pry a sentence out of him until I mentioned the song ‘Mother’, which was a primal scream on his first solo album [1970’s ‘John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band’]. Suddenly he opened like a garden. I think of it as one of the great memories of my life.”

Winkler’s love for music goes back well before he met Lennon on the Happy Days set in the mid-1970s. On Jimmy Kimmel Live, he recalled the very first concert he went to back in the late 1960s when he was in college.

“I went to the [Yale] drama school in New Haven, and I went to see Janis Joplin in the rain,” the Happy Days star shared.
