While paparazzi have captured Ben Affleck at his worst moments over the years, he’s finally getting a laugh out of it.

On the latest episode of YouTube show, Subway Takes, where celebrities and influencers share their opinions, the actor, promoting his film Animals, shared a hot take with host, Kareem Rahma.

“You should never be photographed eating or smoking,” he said, referring to the notorious unflattering paparazzi photos of him that have been tabloid fodder for years. “It hasn’t served me very well.”

“They love to take a picture of me at a drive-through eating a burger, and the subtext to me is, ‘Look, what an a–hole,'” he explained.

Rahma also noted that the photos take away from his work, specifically mentioning the award-winning Argo.

“I don’t like that s–t either, brother,” Affleck said, noting that his behavior caught on camera, which often gets spun negatively, can be relatable after all.

“Just because I’m like carrying donuts — you haven’t ever carried donuts?” he joked, possibly referring to an infamous 2020 photo of him fumbling Dunkin’ coffees and boxes of donuts at his doorstep.

“I spill things just like the next guy,” he added. “It’s just that the times I spill get a lot of coverage [and] multiple angles on the same spilling. So if you have 10 guys taking a picture, you spilling looks like you spilled 10 times because it’s different angles. And also, the face you make when you spill is the worst face.”

Of his paparazzi photos — which regularly turn into memes — he joked that he doesn’t mind the attention after all.

“I actually don’t mind the memes because there’s something to be said for, like, the character of the beleaguered man,” he said, acknowledging the photos where he looks incredibly frustrated with a cigarette in hand. “The man [who’s] like, ‘If you had a day like this’ … I don’t mind it. We have had those days.”

“I don’t know if my resting face is just beleaguered face or whatever it is, but I feel like it could be worse,” he added.

Lucian Piane, who is best known for appearing on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” has died at the age of 46 on Monday, October 12, TMZ reports.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as well as online records, he died on the street. Law enforcement sources told the outlet that Piane was hit by a car in Glendale early in the morning. He didn’t have identification on him at the time, only a citation. First responders “worked on him,” but ultimately pronounced him dead on the scene.

His death came after he was taken into custody by Glendale PD on Saturday, Oct. 10, for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Then he was taken into custody again on Sunday for assault on an officer or emergency personnel. Piane received a citation for both of the incidents, with his court date set on the day he died.

Plane had also recently worried fans with his recent social media activity, with many of his followers asking if he was okay as he appeared to be spending a lot of time on the street.

He had past legal issues, having been arrested at gunpoint in Los Angeles in 2019 for refusing to leave a bank. That same year, he was arrested on other occasions for felony vandalism and trespassing.

Piane was a judge, producer, and songwriter who worked on multiple seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race. He also worked on soundtracks, including for the film Hairspray.

Fans paid tribute to the reality television alum following news of his death.

“Devastating news for the Drag Race community. 46 is way too young. RIP Lucian. 🤍,” one person commented.

“This is sad. He’s been struggling for many years. Never going to excuse his behaviour or the things he said, but it’s still upsetting to see he wasn’t able to turn his life around,” another person wrote.

“He struggled so much. I kept hoping he’d come out on the other side of things. :(,” another fan said.

John Stamos is opening up about his longtime friend and musical mentor Mike Love’s health after the Beach Boys legend needed assistance getting onstage during a recent concert.

The Full House actor, 63, shared an emotional Instagram message on Sunday, October 11, revealing that Love, 85, is dealing with significant health concerns. Stamos posted the update ahead of the band’s performance in Nashville, Tennessee.

“My beloved friend, father figure, musical hero and mentor, Mike Love, is facing serious health challenges,” Stamos wrote. “We hope he’ll be doing what he loves for years to come, but we don’t know what the future holds. We have tonight.”

Stamos, who has performed with the Beach Boys since the 1980s, explained that watching his longtime friend struggle has been difficult.

“I’ve played with Mike for 41 years. I never imagined how deeply it would affect me to see someone larger than life face something so human and fragile,” he wrote.

Despite concerns about his condition, Love remains determined to perform.

“Mike is a fighter. Despite doctors, family and friends urging him to focus on his health, he insists on being on stage. He says he needs his band, the audience, his friends and drummer surrounding him to lift him up,” Stamos explained.

The actor also acknowledged that audiences might notice changes in Love’s appearance or performance. “The Mike Love we see tonight may not be exactly the Mike we’ve always known. But he’s still every bit the Mike we love,” he wrote.

Stamos’ message followed the Beach Boys’ October 10 concert in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he and Love’s son, Christian Love, helped the musician onto the stage. According to The Guardian, Love remained seated during the performance, contributed backing vocals, and thanked the audience for attending.

Before the Cincinnati performance, Stamos addressed the audience and explained why Love wanted to participate. “It’s what he loves the most,” Stamos said. “He loves the audience, he loves the music. He knows how important it is to all of you. So we’re all here to support him and give him as much love as we can.”

The Beach Boys have canceled several performances since July amid Love’s health difficulties.

In June, Love told fans that he was recovering from bronchitis and COVID-19 while also grieving the loss of family members.

“Losing my sister, Maureen, on the first anniversary of cousin Brian’s death, combined with my ongoing recovery from what started out as bronchitis, followed by Covid, has taken both an emotional and physical toll on me,” Love wrote at the time.

However, he explained that performing remained important to him during his recovery: “I feel stronger every day physically, but I am heartbroken emotionally. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else than with our audience. For me, our audience is the medicine, and the music is the cure. Thank you all for your outpouring of love, well wishes, and healing prayers. I am deeply humbled and grateful.”

Stamos also reflected on the influence Love has had on his life throughout their decades-long friendship. “Mike didn’t just give me a place in his band. He gave me a place in his life. He taught me how to entertain, hold a stage, connect with an audience and make people feel something. I carry those lessons everywhere,” Stamos wrote. “This life with Mike and the Beach Boys has become part of my identity. I’ve felt entrusted with being a steward of this extraordinary music, carrying it to new generations.”

The actor concluded his message with a personal reflection on appreciating the time he still has with his friend: “Maybe the hardest part of loving someone is becoming so accustomed to the miracle of having them there that you forget it’s a miracle at all. Tonight, I won’t forget.”

RJ Mitte spent years dealing with a financial nightmare few Breaking Bad fans knew about.

Less than a year before his death at 34, the actor opened up about an alleged betrayal by a former business manager who he said diverted money that was supposed to pay his taxes. 

The fallout, Mitte claimed, followed him for a decade and ultimately cost him more in taxes than he earned from the AMC hit. Mitte died Monday, October 12, in Brownsville, Texas.

His representatives confirmed his death in a statement shared with People, while authorities said an autopsy would be performed. His representative later confirmed to the outlet, hours after TMZ first reported his death, that Mitte died by suicide.

During a November 2025 appearance on The Iced Coffee Hour, Mitte recalled hiring a business manager as a teenager and earning money from Breaking Bad. “I’ve paid more in taxes than I got from Breaking Bad,” he told hosts Graham Stephan and Jack Selby.

Mitte said he had wanted professional help protecting his earnings after hearing stories about young actors running into financial trouble. “I wanted to protect my funds. I was 17, 18,” he explained. “Everyone’s kind of pushing me to make sure that I have a proper accountant.”

Mitte alleged that money he believed was being sent to the IRS was instead taken. “She didn’t lose it. She was just siphoning funds,” he said. “I write a check to pay my taxes. And instead of her using it to pay my taxes, she would send me a fake tax filing and take that money.”

Mitte said the problem eventually left him responsible for unpaid taxes and years of accumulated interest. “It only took me 10 years to pay it off,” he said.

Mitte said he eventually discovered he was far from the only person affected. Mitte revealed he later found 14 other actors who had allegedly been scammed by the same business manager, including several actors with disabilities. He also claimed the money was routed through offshore accounts, making the case much harder to pursue. Mitte alleged the manager stole tens of millions of dollars overall.

Taking the matter to court did not seem like a realistic option either. “You’re talking years of litigation, years of appeals, years of forensic accountants, so the cost is probably going to be in the millions,” Mitte said. “Then it’s like, can you recover? Probably not.”

Mitte played Walter “Flynn” White Jr. throughout all five seasons of Breaking Bad, which ran from 2008 to 2013. He played the son of Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, and Skyler White, played by Anna Gunn.

Several of Mitte’s former co-stars shared emotional tributes after the news of his death. Cranston, who played his on-screen father for five seasons, reflected on the bond they maintained long after the series ended. “I’ll miss you, son,” he wrote in his tribute.

Aaron Paul, who starred as Jesse Pinkman, also expressed his heartbreak. “RJ, I love you, my friend. You will be missed,” he said in a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter.

Dean Norris, who played Hank Schrader, remembered watching out for Mitte when he was still a young actor on set. Norris called him “a sweetheart of a young man” and said he would be greatly missed.

As Marvel fans gear up for the release of Avengers: Doomsday on Dec. 18, Jeremy Renner finally confirmed that he will not be in the upcoming film. Despite the large cast, including Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal and Robert Downey Jr., Renner revealed he will not reprise his role as Clint Barton/Hawkeye in the new film.

“No, no, no, no. Not in that one,” Renner said in an interview clip posted on X when asked if he would return for the Marvel movie. “Doomsday I’m not in, so the Avengers will probably lose, just so you know… they didn’t call me, so it’s their fault. They’re going to lose.”

While Renner might not be part of Marvel’s new film, he revealed in 2025 that he would be open to returning to the MCU. He said he’s “more than 150%” recovered from his near-fatal snowplow accident, so he’s ready to take on Marvel stunts.

“I’m always happy to be in that world, man. I love all those guys, I love the character,” Renner said to Empire. “I’m sure we’ll end up doing Season 2 [of Hawkeye], and do other things. And I’m happy to do it. My body’s getting ready for something like that. I don’t know if anybody wants to see me in tights, but my body will look good in the tights.”

Renner continued, saying that despite some of his tendon issues and certain limitations of flexibility and mobility, he “spent a lot of time on getting better and stronger.”

While fans wait for Renner to make a return to the MCU, Marvel’s upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on Dec. 18. Directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, the film will follow heroes from three different worlds as they unite to “confront a catastrophic danger that could destroy everything they know,” the logline says.

Walnut Grove, the Minnesota setting that generations of viewers associate with Little House on the Prairie, is heading back to the small screen. Netflix announced that production on season 2 of its adaptation has wrapped, and the new cast list brings in the Oleson family, home to Nellie, a character the 1974 series made both beloved and loathed.

Cameras appear to have stopped rolling a few weeks ahead of the planned schedule, running from June to November (a separate production listing gave the Winnipeg filming dates as June 12 through October 30). Showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine said the cast additions made the Walnut Grove season feel magical, and she thanked the crew along with partners CBS Studios, Anonymous Content and Netflix.

Season 2 adapts On the Banks of Plum Creek, the fourth book in Laura Ingalls Wilder’s series, which settles the Ingalls family near Walnut Grove. Netflix is reportedly taking one Wilder book per season, and it renewed the show in March, months before the July 9 debut.

Most of the first-season core cast returns, including Alice Halsey as Laura, Luke Bracey as Charles, Crosby Fitzgerald as Caroline, Skywalker Hughes as Mary and Warren Christie as John Edwards. Netflix had already announced Willa Dunn as Nellie Oleson, Charlotte Sullivan as her mother, Margaret, and Rachelle Lefevre as schoolteacher Eva Beadle.

Ten new actors were also revealed. Ryan Northcott plays William Oleson, Nellie’s father, a first name that differs from Nels, the character’s name in the original series. Scott Porter plays Charles’s older brother, Peter Ingalls, and Erik Athavale plays Reverend Alden. Martin Roach is cast as blacksmith Simon Hughes, Lyla Porter-Follows as widow Lena Nelson and Paul Greene as banker Luther Perry. Elyse Levesque plays Emma Perry, and Graham Harvey plays farm boy Johnny Johnson.

Eight directors were confirmed for the season: Kat Candler, Kyle Patrick Alvarez, Julie Anne Robinson, Liza Johnson, Sarah Boyd, Ellen Kuras, Sydney Freeland and Pascal Verschooris, who is also an executive producer.

The production has connections to the original run. Trip Friendly, son of original series producer Ed Friendly, is an executive producer, and the NBC productions Ed Friendly made aired from 1974 to 1984.

Wilder published eight Little House books in the 1930s and 1940s, and a ninth appeared posthumously in 1971, according to Variety. Season 1 was inspired by the third book, and Plum Creek is the fourth.

The first season’s eight episodes were released July 9.

Netflix has not announced a season 2 release date. Season 1 arrived about nine months after its production wrapped, a gap that leads What’s on Netflix to project a release in July or August 2027. That timing is the outlet’s estimate, not a Netflix announcement.

Production on The Batman: Part II has officially paused after director Matt Reeves announced he’s stepping away for personal reasons. Filming had been underway in London, with a release date set for Feb. 18, 2028. Although Deadline reported that it’s too early to say whether the stoppage will have any effect on the release date, Reeves hasn’t said when he’ll return.

“Production on The Batman: Part II has been temporarily paused while Matt Reeves focuses on a family matter,” a statement from DC Studios read. “Matt has the full support of DC Studios and we look forward to continuing the journey soon.”

In light of this, Robert Pattinson (who will be reprising his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne in the upcoming film) spoke with Official Pop Drop about the delays.

“Yeah, we’re pausing for a little bit, and then we’re going to figure it all out,” Pattinson said while promoting his latest film, Primetime.

Alongside Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan have also been cast for The Batman: Part II. Although their roles have not been confirmed, Stan also briefly opened up about the film on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.

“I feel like it’s hard to talk about it without it becoming some speculative thing from some corner,” Stan said. “I think it’s a very ambitious thing, and I hope it lands right. I have a lot of faith in it, because I just do feel like [Reeves] is truly a genius of our time, and one of the very few people that I think is so unique and so specific. And he has been at this for three years. I mean, it’s not an accident. He knows what he’s doing. And so I’m just happy to be part of that vision.”

The Batman: Part II was originally set to release in theaters on Oct. 3, 2025. Warner Bros. first delayed it until Oct. 2, 2026, then Oct. 1, 2027, and it’s currently set for Feb. 18, 2028. Despite the delays, a camera test teaser was released over the summer, briefly showing Pattinson wearing the Batman cowl. Jessica Lange is speaking out against the TV network FX … albeit for an odd yet completely understandable reason.

During a recent panel at New York City’s PaleyFest 2026, the 77-year-old actress lobbed some heated complaints about the network behind American Horror Story for failing to provide transportation to and from filming in New Orleans.

As Lange put it, the cast and crew for the hit FX horror series had to wake up early in the morning to commute to set, park in a random location in the city and then head back home once filming wrapped, all because the network was “too f***ing cheap.”

“We had to drive ourselves — and that’s still a bone of contention,” Lange said, reflecting on AHS season 3, Coven, which almost entirely takes place in New Orleans. “We would drive ourselves home at like 4 or 5 in the morning, park on some street in the French Quarter, and find our way home — because they were too f***ing cheap!”

Confirming FX’s poor arrangement of travel accommodations, Lange’s co-star, Sarah Paulson, laughed and covered her face as Lange launched into her tirade, nodding along and saying “Oh, yeah,” to Lange’s complaints.

Though a major from the 1970s onward, Lange received renewed recognition in the TV industry for her work on American Horror Story. For her roles in the first and second season of the show, she secured Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress and Outstanding Lead Actress.

After starring in the first four seasons of the series from 2011 to 2015, Lange left AHS to focus on other projects. However, she has sporadically returned to reprise her roles in the series in more recent years, returning first for a two-episode appearance in 2018’s AHS Apocalypse and 2026’s American Horror Story: 13 in a main role.

While Dancing with the Stars has always featured celebrity contestants from music and television — and now social media — athletes, from Olympians to NFL players, have also been a staple on the ballroom floor.

This season, Olympian Amber Glenn, Paralympian Ezra Frech, and Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson are the athletes, but last month, ahead of the Season 35 premiere, Sports Illustrated looked back at all 86 athletes who have competed on the show and compiled a top 25 ranking. To create the list, the sports news outlet factored in judges’ scores, competition level, and what it referred to as “the good old-fashioned eye test.”  

Their No. 1 pick? Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson.

Johnson, 34, competed on Season 8 in 2009, where she was partnered with Mark Ballas and took home the Mirrorball trophy. The gold medalist returned in 2012 for the All-Stars season, where she was partnered with Derek Hough.

After the All-Star season, she told Entertainment Tonight that competing on the show brought her confidence back following her time as a gymnast.

“I found my confidence and my enjoyment and everything on a gymnastics floor, and when you don’t have that, you kind of lose sight of, you know, any place to find that,” she said. “And coming into dancing where I knew I wasn’t the best; I knew I was somewhat insecure. I really didn’t know where to find it. And each week [Hough] kind of brought a little more out of me and let me open up and have fun and find confidence and find a stage, and that meant the world for me.”

Fast forward, and Shawn continues to speak about having low self-esteem, which included suffering from an eating disorder, and how she’s overcome it.

“I had a horrific self-worth. I couldn’t look myself in a mirror,” she said last year while speaking on an episode of Real Pod. “It was really bad for a while. But I woke up one day and said, ‘I don’t want to feel like this anymore.’ And so I took it upon myself to fix myself.”

John Denver broke his thumb in a car accident after a show in Washington, DC, on December 29, 1970. He went to the emergency room, got it splinted, and went straight to his opening act’s apartment anyway because they said they had something for him to hear. He sat down with a splinted thumb and asked what they’d been working on.

Bill Danoff had been sitting on a half-finished song, “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” for about a month. He’d written it with his girlfriend Taffy Nivert, and they’d planned to pitch it to Johnny Cash. It was a country ballad about winding roads and going home, and it had a chorus they loved, but they couldn’t figure out what to do with the rest of it. When Denver knocked on the door that night, Danoff wasn’t sure he should even play it. “He won’t like that,” he told Nivert quietly. “It’s for Johnny Cash.” She told him to play it anyway.

Denver heard the chorus and one verse and said he’d flipped over it. He asked if he could help finish it, and the 3 of them stayed up through the night working on the lyrics. The road that gave Danoff the idea was a winding two-lane stretch called Clopper Road in Montgomery County, Maryland—he’d been driving it on the way to a family reunion when the chorus started coming to him. He’d thought about writing it about Massachusetts, the state he’d grown up in, but the word didn’t feel right in the song. He went with West Virginia instead because of a radio program he’d listened to as a kid. None of the 3 of them had ever set foot in the state.

They finished it on the morning of December 30, 1970. That was the day before Denver’s 27th birthday. He announced that the song had to go on his next album. Johnny Cash was out of the picture. That night, Denver went back to the Cellar Door, and when he ran out of songs, he pulled out the new one as an encore. He hadn’t learned the words yet. Someone taped the handwritten lyric sheet to the mic stand so he could read while he played. A singer-songwriter named Len Jaffe was in the room that night. “It was a 5-minute standing ovation,” Jaffe said later. “The walls were vibrating. I thought the club was going to implode.”

The Song Nobody Saw Coming

Denver recorded it in New York in January 1971 and released it as a single on April 12. It peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was his first platinum single. West Virginia made it the official state song in 2014. It’s been performed before every West Virginia University home football game since 1972. This past summer, it became the unofficial anthem of the US men’s national team at the 2026 World Cup. Denver died on October 12, 1997, at 53 when the small plane he was piloting went down over Monterey Bay. Yesterday marked 29 years. The song still belongs to everyone.

To keep your body healthy without putting your urinary tract in jeopardy, medical professionals emphasize moderation and smart daily choices. Overdosing on daily wellness packets isn’t necessary for maintaining robust health, and keeping your daily supplement intake under reasonable limits can protect your organs from unnecessary stress.

“You can have too much of a good thing, and that includes vitamin C. If you eat or consume more than 500 mg. daily, you may up your chances of getting kidney stones because vitamin C may release oxalates,” Dr. S. Adam Ramin, MD, board-certified urologist, urologic surgeon and medical director of Urology Cancer Specialists in Los Angeles, previously told Parade.

Keri Russell isn’t shy about revealing the sneaky sex she and her co-star/partner Matthew Rhys would have while starring in The Americans.

During a recent episode of the “Dear Chelsea” podcast, Russell revealed that she and Rhys were “having sex all the time” while filming the series. She even admitted that a lot of their sexual rendezvous were in character costumes while on set. The Diplomat star adds that wearing her character’s jewelry added a level of sneakiness.

“We were falling in love and staying up all night and having sex all the time and just wearing disguises, like, I’m fucking [in] crazy wigs and wearing pearls,” she confessed. “When have you ever worn pearls and [been] fucking in trailers and fucking everywhere. I mean, it was insanity. It was so fun and sneaky, and sexy, and so good.”

The Hollywood couple starred in The Americans from 2013 to 2018. They played two Soviet KGB intelligence officers posing as an American married couple running a travel agency in 1980’s Washington, D.C. Their characters use their spy knowledge to also raise their American-born children.

The series was an award-winning success, even earning Rhys an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor. Russell and Rhys had met years before starring in the series in the early 2000s and reunited in 2012 as co-stars. At the time, Russell was married to Shane Deary and later separated in 2013.

Reports emerged in late 2013 about the two actors together, and they were outed the following year. Rhys had previously shared an incident that caused their relationship to be revealed to the cast and crew of The Americans.

While dating, someone broke into Russell’s apartment with the couple inside. The NYPD was quick to apprehend the suspect, with Rhys explaining that the District Attorney wanted to personally return the taken items on set of The Americans.

“The DA, I think, was retiring, and they were like, ‘Oh, we’d love to bring you your things back and present them to you on set and do a photograph of the DA and the NYPD officers that caught them.’ And she’s like, ‘No, no, no, no, that’s all right. I’ll just come to the precinct to pick them up,” explained Rhys on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

“They came to set and held up a bag and went, ‘We caught them and here’s her bag!’ And then the young PA was next to me indeed went, ‘No, no, that’s Matthew’s bag!’ And they took it out, ‘And here’s her watch!’ And like, ‘No, no, that’s Matthew’s watch!”

The couple’s relationship was ultimately exposed by accident outside the series. Russell and Rhys welcomed their first child together in 2016 and have been together for 13 years, with no plans to marry.

Jessica Chastain and Jeremy Strong might be Hollywood colleagues and competitors, but their friendship will always come first.

Over the weekend, Chastain’s supernatural psychological horror, Other Mommy, dominated at the box office, while Strong’s Facebook-based drama film, The Social Reckoning, fell a little short.

Instead of sulking Strong, 47, sent Chastain, 49, a playful text about her movie doing so well on their shared opening weekend, which she shared to her Instagram Story on Monday. It started when Strong texted Chastain a screenshot of a Vulture headline that read, “Other Mommy Spanks The Social Reckoning at the Box Office.”

Stunned by what she saw, Chastain replied, “Omg,” and Strong fired back with a middle finger and a kissy-face emoji. She noticed the drastic difference in the photos used for the thumbnail and couldn’t help but think it was “hysterical.”

You could practically hear the sarcasm in the Succession star’s next text as he reiterated how funny it was. Still focused on the thumbnails, Chastain told Strong he looked “SO SAD,” and he followed up with his own description, saying she looked “INSANE.”

The photos were actually stills from their respective movies, which made the exchange even funnier.

Despite earning a bleak 18% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes upon its release, Other Mommy exceeded box office expectations during its opening weekend. And with a relatively modest $18 million production budget, the campy Blumhouse and Universal thriller is already off to a promising financial start.

Other Mommy takes the whole imaginary friend concept and turns it into a full-blown nightmare. Based on Josh Malerman’s novel Incidents Around the House, it follows a young girl whose mysterious new companion promises peace and love, but only seems to bring destruction and pain to the child’s life.

Meanwhile, The Social Reckoning fell short of its projected $7 million to $8 million opening weekend. The drama follows a Facebook engineer (Mikey Madison) who teams up with a reporter (Jeremy Allen White) to expose the company’s shady behind-the-scenes practices by leaking thousands of internal documents. Basically, Facebook’s dirty laundry is getting aired out on the big screen.

The banter in their text exchange shows just how strong their friendship is. They’ve been buddies for years and starred in several projects together, including Zero Dark Thirty, Molly’s Game, and Armageddon Time.

The battle for the top of the rock charts just saw a major shakeup.

After The Killers made history by reaching No. 1 following a record-setting 368-week chart run, folk-pop powerhouse Noah Kahan has knocked the Las Vegas legends off the top spot. With streaming numbers surging, Kahan’s latest milestone signals a huge changing of the guard atop Billboard’s rock rankings.

Kahn’s “Draw You Out” is now the reigning king of Billboard’s Rock Streaming Chart. The Killers hit No. 1 in August with “Mr. Brightside” after seven years of climbing their way to the top with the 2003 hit. The chart highlights the most-streamed rock tracks in the U.S., including new and past hits.

According to Forbes, the band had only one top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. However, it’s that same song that remains a music juggernaut, retaining its popularity 23 years after its release.

Currently, “Mr. Brightside” is the only Killers song to appear on the following Billboard charts: Rock Streaming Songs, Alternative Streaming Songs, Billboard Global 200, and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. rankings. The song hails from their LP Hot Fuss, which also includes the fan favorite tracks  “Somebody Told Me,” “All These Things That I’ve Done” and “Smile Like You Mean It.”

Concurrently, Kahn’s chart takeover has been driven by the explosive success of “Stick Season,” the title track from his hit album that has quietly become a modern streaming giant. Much like Hot Fuss did for The Killers two decades ago, Kahan’s breakout record has catapulted him into the upper echelon of rock and alternative music, proving that a compelling story and an honest acoustic hook can still top the Billboard charts.

Meanwhile, Kahan is building a massive footprint of his own. Propelled by the runaway success of Stick Season—and hit collaborations with stars like Post Malone and Kacey Musgraves—the Vermont singer-songwriter has become a dominant force on the rock charts. Stepping ahead of an iconic anthem like “Mr. Brightside” proves that his folk-infused sound isn’t just a passing trend—it’s driving modern music.

Janine Turner, who rose to stardom on Northern Exposure, is unrecognizable today with voluminous platinum-blonde hair.

Turner, 63, hit it big back in the ’90s with her role on Northern Exposure, a fun comedy-drama that followed the eccentric residents of a fictitious town called Cicely, Alaska. The series starred actor Rob Morrow as a doctor who ditches New York City to practice medicine in the quiet town, where nothing is quite as it initially seems. What Did Janine Turner Do After Northern Exposure?

After Northern Exposure concluded its run in 1995, Turner did 50 episodes of the series Strong Medicine. From 2008 to 2009, she played Katie McCoy on the beloved NBC football series, Friday Night Lights. But Turner’s work goes far beyond the realm of TV and film. She’s written four books and does significant activism and advocacy work. Earlier this year, Turner was appointed to the Texas Commission on the Arts for a term set to expire on August 31, 2029, according to a release. The statement shared that the organization “fosters the development of a receptive climate for the arts that will culturally enrich and benefit state citizens in their daily lives and attract outstanding artists to become state residents.”

Turner Has Dipped into Directing

Turner is also the leader of Constituting America 250, an organization that teaches students and adults across America about the nonpartisan relevancy of the U.S. Constitution and the principles of self-governance inherent in our founding documents. She recently started directing with the launch of The Pursuit, a “groundbreaking vertical, social media, YouTube series created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.”

Actress Selma Blair looked emotional during a court appearance on Monday, October 12, following her airport arrest earlier that day. According to reports, Blair physically confronted crew members on the Delta Airlines flight, allegedly punching a flight attendant and biting another. 

Blair’s representative later told TMZ, “Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition.” Blair, who was diagnosed with MS in 2018, was arraigned Monday night on assault charges. It was later revealed that following her arrest, the actress also allegedly engaged in physical altercations with a Port Authority officer and a registered nurse while she was being transported to Jamaica Hospital. 

ABC News reported that the attacks on Port Authority Officer Maria Suarez and nurse Ashley DeLeo led to assault charges. The actress also faces federal assault charges resulting from the alleged mid-air confrontation. Delta told ABC News that the airline “has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first.”

The alleged attack was detailed in a Queens courtroom video obtained by NBC 4 New York: “The defendant kicked the officer in the face, the neck, and the chest. While the officer was on active duty, that officer sustained swelling to the face, substantial pain to the arm. The defendant was subsequently then transferred to the hospital for treatment, where the defendant allegedly then kicked the nurse in the chest.” 

A representative for Blair told NBC 4 News, “Her defense noted her health issues, such as multiple sclerosis, and said what happened on the plane was the product of a medical emergency and not intentional criminal conduct.” 

Critics pounced on NBC 4’s post of the courtroom video, blasting Blair’s excuse for her alleged actions. “To see someone with MS even physically capable of doing this and then turn around and use MS as an excuse is rage-inducing,” wrote one commenter, as another added, “Please. As someone with MS I can say I’ve never bitten or punched anyone! This really bothers me when people use a medical diagnosis like MS as an excuse for bad behavior!” 

Blair appeared emotional in court as the charges against her were read. Per People, Judge Indira Kahn set bail at $20,000 cash, $60,000 bond, or a $60,000 partially secured bond. Her next court date is scheduled for January. 

The actress also had a mid-air incident a decade ago in June of 2016. After being removed on a stretcher and hospitalized, Blair told Vanity Fair, “I made a big mistake yesterday. After a lovely trip with my son and his Dad, I mixed alcohol with medication, and that caused me to black out and led me to say and do things I deeply regret.” 

She continued, apologizing for her actions, “I take this very seriously, and I apologize to all of the passengers and crew that I disturbed and am thankful to all of the people who helped me in the aftermath. I am a flawed human being who makes mistakes and am filled with shame over this incident. I am truly very sorry.”

Selma Blair has been charged with two counts of assault after allegedly kicking a police officer in the face, neck, and chest, according to court documents reviewed by PEOPLE.

The Legally Blonde actress was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 11, following an incident during her flight from Los Angeles to New York. She was accused of punching a flight attendant, biting another flight attendant, and trying to open the plane’s door mid-flight.

Blair was also accused of removing her leg from the stretcher straps and kicking a Port Authority Police Officer. Additionally, court documents alleged that Blair kicked a registered nurse who helped transport her to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for treatment. Blair has since been released from the hospital.

PEOPLE previously reported that Blair could face charges in New York state and federal court for the incident. Blair was arraigned on Monday before Judge Indira Kahn. Court records state that the judge set bail at $20,000 cash, $60,000 bond, or a $60,000 partially secured bond. She was released on bail later that day.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey released a statement saying Blair was “physically abusive” during her flight and that an injured attendant was taken to a hospital for treatment.

In a statement to PEOPLE, a representative for Blair said that the Cruel Intentions actress “experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct,” and that she “received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition.”

At Blair’s arraignment on Monday, the actress’s attorneys said the alleged assaults were caused by “severe confusion” resulting from her missing her medication, as well as her hitting her head during a fall. Blair was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018.
