Keeping up with everything on Netflix is almost like fighting the mythical Hydra. Every time you finish a show, three more seem to pop up in its place. But it's that seemingly unlimited well of content that has made it the most popular streamer today, even amidst the numerous amount of competition. And so, at the end of every week, we kick up our feet, grab the remote, and listen for that classic "tudum" sound as we dive into Netflix's voluminous library.
Luckily for you, Parade has flagged three new shows coming to Netflix this week that can become your new binge obsession! Here's what you need to check out this weekend (May 8-10, 2026).

Jeopardy! has been a cultural institution for over 60 years, as we've seen braniacs from Ken Jennings to recent standout Jamie Ding be able to rattle off an impressive variety of facts like the back of their hand. But, for those who feel they could never contain the vast amount of knowledge required to walk away a winner, 2025 saw the creation of a spinoff show that had a more focused (but still widespread) topic: Pop culture. Season 2 of Pop Culture Jeopardy!, which has been airing episodes starting May 11, has moved homes, now airing on Netflix instead of Prime Video. But the focus is still the same, as Colin Jost hosts a variety of trios, all putting their knowledge of movies, TV, music and beyond to the test. Netflix will air one episode every weekday for the next three weeks, giving a perfect daytime companion to its primetime sibling.

Perfect Match Season 4 'Perfect Match' Season 4Courtesy of Netflix
Over the past five or so years, Netflix has built a strong foundation of reality shows, ranging from the romance of Love is Blind and Too Hot to Handle to the intense competition of Squid Game: The Challenge and Million Dollar Secret. So it only makes sense the streamer create its own version of Bachelor in Paradise, a way for stars across shows to mix, mingle and hopefully find love. Thus, Perfect Match was born. Season 4 of the Nick Lachey-led series kicked off on May 13 with five out of its eight episodes. And, after breaking the network barrier last season, reality stars from Love Island, Vanderpump Rules, and even a social media star have made their way to Netflix, hoping to find "the one" â or at least the one to get them to the end of the game.

Nemesis 'Nemesis'Courtesy of Netflix
Nemesis is the newest series from Courtney A. Kemp, who is responsible for creating the hit Power franchise on STARZ. And, while she's made her way over to streaming, her wheelhouse has remained consistent, as we take to the streets of Los Angeles. Nemesis, which released May 14, tells the tale of a cat-and-mouse game between an expert criminal (Insecure's Y'lan Noel) and a brilliant detective (Abbott Elementary's Matthew Law). But, of course, it's only a matter of time before we get beneath the top layer of this simply dynamic, exploring everything from family and marriage to what drives us as people.

Paul McCartney Recounts Hilarious Hiking Story About This Bandmate
Paul McCartney has recounted a hilarious memory of his Beatles bandmate, George Harrison.
During a recent episode of The Rest Is History podcast, the music legend reminisced about a time when he and his late bandmate traveled as teenagers. McCartney said that at the time they were "hitchhiking down South" to Wales and that the experience inspired one of the songs on his upcoming solo album,The Boys of Dungeon Lane.
"We got a lift from a milk float, which was electric. Those were the only vehicles we knew that were electric, [and it] went about four miles an hour, but it was a lift, so we were quite happy," the 83-year-old explained on the podcast.
McCartney added that Harrison chose to sit on the vehicle's battery, which was located between the driver and passenger seats. "The driver was sitting on the right-hand side, then there was a battery in the middle, and then there was the passenger seat on the left-hand side, and George sat on the battery."
George's jeans had a zip on the back pocket which connected with the battery, Paul explained. "[The zip] connected up and the battery had given him a bolt," said McCartney. "And later, when we got to our B&B, he showed me. Yeah, he had a great big zip tattooed into his bum."
The Grammy-winning artist was reminded of the story by George's widow, Olivia, although she believed the incident had happened to him and not her late husband. "I said, 'It wasn't it me, it was George!' But I think it's amazing the way memory does that. It can just morph," he said, per People.
George died on November 29, 2001, at the age of 58. The former Beatles guitarist passed away at a friend's LA property following a long battle with cancer.
Woman Ditches Expensive California Life To Make $125K on Her Oregon Flower Farmâ Hereâs How You Can Copy Her
Feeling deep burnout from her social work job, Lennie Larkin began growing flowers in her small home in Sonoma, California. She quickly saw that she could turn a profit and wanted more land, but everything in California was too expensive. Then she found the farm in Oregon.

A Flowering BusinessIn an interview with Realtor.com, Larkin said that her burnout led her to feel a desire to be in nature and work with her hands. She started by growing vegetables, and then slowly added flowers into the mix. She found her passion in the blooms.
On her half-acre of land, Larkin expanded her flower-growing business and soon found that the money she made replaced her nonprofit salary. It took a few years of selling flowers at a roadside stand, along with her other offerings, before she was able to completely replace her job.
Larkin said that, due to supplies, taxes, and reinvesting into her business, she was only able to take home 40% of her $125k. She was encouraged to keep going, however, and decided she needed to expand.
More Than Just FloralsHer expansion went far past the stand where she started. She taught workshops, made deliveries, and outfitted weddings with her wares. Her customer base began to grow, and she knew she needed more land.
View this post on InstagramâI wanted a nice, old house and flat, open land without trees or massive shrubs, and access to water,â she tells the Realtor. âIn California, we kept running out of water.â
Unfortunately, everything that met her needs in California was way beyond her price range. She and her partner, now her fiancĂ©, began looking in other states. She found the property in Warren, OR, just 42 minutes north of Portland.Â

A Blooming BusinessProximity to the city meant a higher customer base, while the land she purchased gave her the space to expand. Now she runs her business, including her store website, and teaches others how to grow flowers for profit on another of her websites and her Instagram.
âYou really can make a living on a small plot of land,â she says. In her best year, she made $250,000 but kept only 40%, or around $100,000.
Even if a life in the flowers isnât something you considered, finding a passion like Larkin did and turning it into a business is completely doable. Larkin helps new flower farmers start, but there are plenty of websites and classes out there that can help you turn your passion into a new career.

Exactly How Many Times a Week To Do Pilates for a More Toned Physique, Instructors Say
Though Pilates is about 100 years old, youâve probably noticed a lot more people talking about it in the past few years. According to a 2026 Pilates report compiled by Mariana Tek, a business management software company used by boutique fitness studios, the percentage of studios offering Pilates has grown every year since 2021.Â
There are many benefits of doing Pilates regularly. It can help build lean muscle, help with balance and joint stability and build endurance. One scientific article published in the Muscle, Ligaments and Tendons Journal says that Pilates can help improve flexibility, posture and strength. Some studies show that doing Pilates regularly can also support mental health by decreasing feelings of depression, anxiety and stress.

Perhaps youâre curious about Pilates because you want a more toned physique. Thereâs a lot of talk about having a âPilates bodyâ on social media, but can Pilates actually change the way you look? To find out, Parade talked to two Pilates instructors. They get real on what Pilates can and canât do, and also reveal how many times a week they recommend doing Pilates to truly reap the benefits.Â
đ©șSIGN UP for tips to stay healthy & fit with the top moves, clean eats, health trends & more delivered right to your inbox twice a weekđ
Can Pilates Change How You Look?If one of your health goals is to have a toned physique, Lauren King, NCPT, a Pilates instructor at Strong Pilates Commack in Commack, New York, says that itâs important to consider your body composition. She explains that Pilates can absolutely help support a more toned physique. However, it may need to be paired with other habits that support losing weight in a healthy way, such as maintaining a calorie deficit and doing aerobic-based exercise regularly.Â
If you donât want to lose weight and you just want to look more toned, Pilates is a great workout to do regularly. âIt builds muscular strength and endurance, improves posture and trains the body through controlled, full-range movement. Over time, this can contribute to improved muscle definition,â King tells Parade.
Erica Walters, NCPT,a level-three certified Pilates instructor and the owner of Pilates Fit Studio in Kentucky, agrees. âA toned physique results from building lean muscle while maintaining a healthy body composition. Pilates contributes directly to the muscle side of that equation, and a consistent practice supports the kind of full-body movement habit that helps with the rest,â she says.
Walters explains that classical Pilates is a form of resistance training, sharing, âIt uses spring tension and bodyweight to load the muscles and follows the same training principles that build lean, visible muscle tone in other forms of resistance work."
Think that progressive overload (gradually increasing the intensity, volume or difficulty of your workouts over time) can only happen with barbells or dumbbells? Think again.
âProgressive overload is a training principle that applies anywhere resistance exists, and in classical Pilates, it shows up through spring tension, bodyweight leverage and structured sequencing,â Walters says.Â
How Many Times a Week To Do Pilates for a Toned Physique, Instructors SayNow that you know that Pilates can help with looking more toned comes the big question: How often do you have to do it to actually notice a difference?Â
For best results, Walters and King both recommend doing Pilates three to four times a week, though this number can differ from person to person depending on their individual health and whether or not they do any other types of workouts regularly. But both experts are clear that consistency drives results. âStrength is built through repeated stimulus and progressive challenge over time,â Walters says.
King explains that doing Pilates three to four times a week allows the body to build strength and muscular endurance while still supporting recovery, which is essential for adaptation and progress.
Related: Pilates Instructors Say These 3 Moves Are the Fastest Way To See Results in Your Core
If you commit to doing Pilates three to four times a week, both experts say that you can expect to notice a difference in how you look and feel in as little as a few weeks.
âMany people begin to notice early changes within a few weeks, particularly in their core engagement and posture. Visible changes in muscle definition and body composition typically take longer and depend on consistency, overall training and nutrition habits. Pilates can support these changes, especially when itâs part of a well-rounded routine,â King tells Parade.
Walters quotes Joseph Pilates, saying, âIn 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20 sessions you will see the difference, and in 30 sessions you will have a whole new body. Practitioners have been quoting this line for nearly a century because it is true.â
What To Do if You Want To See Faster ResultsIf you want to see a physical change sooner, both experts say to incorporate aerobic exercise into your workout routine, such as making a goal to get between 10,000 and 15,000 steps a day.
âResistance training is not the same as physical activity, and this distinction matters. Physical activity includes walking, cleaning, gardening, dancing and the daily movement that supports your cardiovascular and pulmonary health. Resistance training is what builds strength and lean muscle. You need both,â Walters says.
Both experts emphasize that youâll feel the results before you see them. They say that day-to-day activities become easier, such as picking up heavy groceries, maintaining proper posture while sitting at a desk all day and having better balance and flexibility.
âMany people report better sleep, more energy, fewer aches and a greater sense of body awareness,â Walters says.
Pilates is a great form of exercise for looking more toned, but other cornerstones of health, such as maintaining a nutrient-rich diet and regular aerobic activity, are still important. Just like with diet, a well-rounded workout routine is best.

Crumbl Promises âWeâre Just Getting Startedâ After Major Company Shakeup
As part of a planned transition, Crumblâs co-founders, Sawyer Hemsley and Jason McGowan, announced that they will be stepping away from their day-to-day operating roles with the bakery chain.
Hemsley posted a letter that he and McGowan wrote on Instagram, explaining that McGowan will be stepping down as Chief Executive Officer, Hemsley as Chief Brand Officer and Bryce Redd as Chief Technology Officer.
âThis is not a goodbye to Crumbl,â McGowan said in the letter. âWe will all remain closely involved as members of the Board of Directors and founders. I will continue as Chairman of the Board. We are still deeply invested in this company, in our franchise partners, and in where Crumbl goes from here.â
The co-founders said that they believe now is the right time to bring in new leadership through an open search process.
âGetting the right people in place matters a lot, and I believe an open process will allow us to find the very best leadership to support Crumblâs future success and stay involved to support a smooth transition,â they said.
View this post on InstagramThis leadership transition comes as Crumbl works to evolve its menu and move into its new headquarters. Hemsley called their new test kitchen Crumblâs âdessert playground,â a space built with the future in mind.
âIâll never stop being grateful for everyone whoâs part of the Crumbl family,â Hemsley posted on Instagram in April. âAnd especially you, our customers. This space already has such an incredible energy. So much color, life, creativity, and passion across every team. Iâm excited to get to work and build whatâs next.. 2026 is going to be really special!â
Founded in 2017 in Logan, Utah, Crumbl rose to fame with its unique weekly rotating menu and its virality on TikTok and Instagram. Theyâre one of the nationâs fastest-growing dessert companies, starting with a simple goal to bake a perfect chocolate chip cookie.
âOver the past several years, Crumbl has grown from a single store into something none of us could have imagined when we started,â Hemsley and McGowan shared in the letter. âThat growth has only happened because of the people who have built it alongside us.â

"Shocked," the astrologer said. "I didnât know he had a girlfriend. Well, I was shocked originally, but not really at the same time. We know he moves quickly, and he always wanted to be a dad."
She said his desire was one of the ways they weren't compatible. "That was always a thing with us," Ally said. "He was so ready for all of that stuff yesterday, and Iâm still not ready. We havenât talked, so I just hope heâs happy and healthy, and I wish them the best."
The astrologer moved out of Los Angeles to Charleston. She hasn't spoken to the DJ since their breakup. The former couple dated for three years before going their separate ways.
James was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence on December 10, 2024, shortly before their break up. His lawyer later claimed he was focusing on his sobriety. The charges were dropped.
"I am happy that prosecutors decided not to file against James, as I never desired criminal charges," Ally said in an Instagram post, according to E! News. "We had an argument outside of his home related to him drinking again, however, I was not physically hurt. I was shocked by the headlines and disheartened by how the event was portrayed."
The first five episodes of Perfect Match Season 4 are now available to stream on Netflix.

Costco Launches $2.99 Strawberry Shortcake Sundae in Food Courts
It's always an exciting day whenever shoppers report the debut of a brand-new treat at Costco's food courts, most especially when said treat takes the form of a flavorful new dessert exclusively found at the major warehouse supplier.
According to the ever-reliable Costco-centered food blogger costcohotfinds, the beloved brand has recently launched a new Strawberry Shortcake Sundae inside its food court.
A rich blend of creamy strawberry ice cream, soft shortcake bites and decadent strawberry topping, the dessert serves as the latest and greatest innovation to debut at Costco's food court, instantly earning shoppers' attention online.
"I was not ready for this one," costcohotfinds said in her review of the product. "The Costco food court just dropped a Strawberry Shortcake Sundae with the softest bites of shortcake. It also has strawberry ice cream and strawberry topping, and I just think that Costco has the best strawberry ice cream ever."
The new item is available for $2.99 within Costco's food courts. It's more than likely the new sundae will make its way to nationwide store locations over the next few weeks.
Of course, most of the reactions to the new dessert have been overarchingly positive, with many fans sharing their enthusiasm for the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae across social media.
"Yum! I can't wait for our warehouse to get this," one fan commented on Instagram, complete with a drooling face emoji.
"At this point... I'm just gonna move into Costco," another shopper wrote.
"Omg please tell this pregnant mama that my Costco has this," a third user shared.
With the introduction of a new dessert, costcohotfinds speculated that the brand's winter dessert, the Churro Sundae, will likely be wrapping up its time at most warehouse locations. With that being said, anyone with a deep love for cinnamon churros should think about getting their last desserts in before the item has officially vanished from Costco's food courts.
Niall Horan Reveals He's 'Not Going' to Harry Styles and Zoë Kravitz's Wedding: 'I'm a Busy Man'
The wedding season has begun, with Niall Horan admitting that he has a few planned weddings but not one for his former One Direction bandmate. Harry Styles and Zoë Kravitz recently announced their engagement after eight months of dating.
Horan, who's set to release his fourth studio album titled Dinner Party, appeared on an episode of the New Zealand radio show The Edge NZ. Cohosts Ollie Miles and Lucy Maynard began to skirt around for an answer on whether the musician will attend Styles' upcoming nuptials. Styles and Kravitz's engagement was a source of speculation among fans until a source confirmed the news to People in late April.
Maynard asked Horan if he had any cool upcoming plans for the summer, "maybe even a wedding." Horan answered that he has a "couple of weddings that I'm going to coming up" and says that "we all love a wedding."
View this post on InstagramThe singer's answer wasn't what the cohosts were exactly looking for, and they probed Horan to tell them more. He added that a "couple of mates" are scheduled to get married and belived its going to be "very fun." Maybard playfully asked if the wedding was within the next year or this year, and wondered if one of the "mates" was someone he used to work with. The question was in obvious reference to the former One Direction.
"Alright. No, no, no. I get it now. Just mates of mine," clarified Horan.
After being asked if he knew the date of Styles and Kravitz's wedding, Horan made clear that, "I am not going, if that's what you're asking." He later joked that he's a "busy man."
For now, it's unclear how Styles and Kravitz will plan their wedding, as well as details on a scheduled date, guest list, and more. It's unknown if Styles' former One Direction members are also invited, with Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson recently making headlines over a physical altercation that caused the cancellation of their documentary. Liam Payne died on October 16, 2024, at the age of 31.
Andie MacDowellâs Long Gray Hair Is the Ultimate Status Symbol on the Cannes Red Carpet
Andie MacDowell said goodbye to her trademark curls and any trace of hair color on the red carpet in Cannes.
The acclaimed actress, 68, who is best known for roles in movies like Four Weddings and a Funeral, St. Elmoâs Fire, and Sex, Lies, and Videotape, showed off her flowing gray locks with pride at the screening of Karma during the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals on May 15, 2026, in Cannes, France. With a bright smile on her face, the beauty made it clear that gray hair can be the ultimate status symbol.

Embracing Her Gray HairMacDowell pointed out to NewBeauty in 2024 that nobody would care about her gray hair if she were a man. But the idea that she embraces the color as a woman is seen as revolutionary.
âI finally got the courage during COVID when I saw it with my eyes and my skin color,â MacDowell said. âOnce it was growing out, I could see what the color was going to be like, and I really loved it. I knew it was time.â
Refusing to Feel âShamefulâ About Aging Recently, MacDowell joined The Drew Barrymore Show by video to drop some serious knowledge about the pressure women feel to âlook youngâ despite growing older.
âOur dear friend of the show who comes here all the time â and someone I worked with when I was 16 years old â the great Andie MacDowell, she sent us in a video,â Drew Barrymore shared with the audience during the â50 FâItsâ segment. (The duo appeared together in the 1994 western Bad Girls alongside Madeleine Stowe and Mary Stuart Masterson.) âAnd I think it really talks about and addresses some of the expectations that we put on ourselves, that society puts on us. Take a look at this.â
âI love you, Drew! Thank you for doing this,â MacDowell shared. âI look back at my grandmother, who was the matriarch. A strong woman. We just revered her. We respected her. We never wouldâve ever expected her to look young. That was not a concept that existed.âÂ
The actress continued, explaining that the way she looks as she ages is up to her, not what society says she should look like.
âThis concept has demeaned us as we age. It has now made us feel shameful,â she shared. âI have three little grandchildren and Iâm gonna be a grandmother for them and Iâm gonna look like Iâm supposed to look, because I love myself. And I donât have to look young. And I love you for doing this!â
Barrymore was joined by a panel that included Halle Berry, Valerie Bertinelli, and Nate Burleson to discuss the topic of aging, particularly after the age of 50.

Buzzy Cannes Premiere Gets Rihanna's Stamp of Approval After Song Use
What's your favorite Rihanna track? It may be hard to choose...
"Sex With Me" might be up there and still plays on the radio to this day, including on the SiriusXM channel Hits on 1. And now, you can hear it on the big screen.
This year's Cannes Film Festival is underway and features a buzzy new film from actor-filmmaker Jordan Firstman (HBO's I Love LA). Club Kid just premiered in France and received a lengthy standing ovation, per Deadline.
As The Hollywood Reporter notes, Firstmanâs feature debut as writer-director-star opens with a flashback to 2016, where a group of friends pile into an Uber where Rihanna's chart-topper "Sex With Me" plays.
â[Producers] begged me to shoot alts, and I said, âNo, Iâm not doing it. We will get the song,'" Firstman, 34, told THR in an interview article published Friday, May 15.
By the time filmmakers learned that Club Kid would be debuting at Cannes this month, they reportedly still hadnât heard from Rihanna regarding the use of "Sex With Me."
âThere did come a time about three weeks ago, where theyâre like, âWhat are we going to do?'" Firstman told THR. "And I was like, âJust trust. It will work itself out. I know if Rihanna sees this, sheâs gonna gag for it.' We got it to her, and she did.â
âJordanâs unique because heâs, technically, a first-time filmmaker, but heâs anything but green," Ryan Heller, head of backing studio Topic, told THR. "He was coming with a level of experience that was distinct from what you might think of as a first time director."
This year's festival has lots of star power, meanwhile, including Jane Fonda. The two-time Oscar winner, 88, turned heads on May 12 while arriving for the opening ceremony, wearing a shimmering long-sleeved black gown covered in sequins, paired with a dramatic silver necklace from Pomellatoâs, Nudo rings and her signature gray curls styled in voluminous waves.

Legendary â60s Musician Reignites Feud With Former Bandmate
Beach Boys guitarist Al Jardine has continued his feud with former bandmate Mike Love, admitting he no longer speaks to the singer.
In a new interview withThe I, Al admitted: âI have no relationship with him. Itâs hard to explain, but sometimes itâs better to leave things alone. Heâs very quiet now. He doesnât talk much.â
However, Al wasn't totally against the idea of reconciliation, should they see each other again. âWhen I see him, Iâll see if heâs still talking to me," he added.
The feud exploded last year when Jardine criticized Love's speech during Brian Wilson's funeral and said he had âmegalomania problems.â
âMike wanted everybody to know that he wrote every single word of âGood Vibrationsâ. I didnât feel the compassion, letâs put it that way. Mikeâs got some serious megalomania problems," he told Rolling Stone last year.
âI was focusing on Brian, and Mike was more focused on Mike,â he added. âI think that is what it boils down to.â
Brian Wilson died in June 2025 from respiratory arrest at the age of 82, and his funeral was held in early July in Los Angeles. Love's representative denies Jardine's version of events.
This is not the duo's first run-in. They were previously caught in a legal entanglement over the use of The Beach Boys' name following the death of Carl Wilson in 1998. Love ultimately won the right to tour under the name.
Cousins Mike Love and Brian Wilson also had their fair share of arguments over the years. Â "I donât like Mike Love at all," once declared Wilson, per Collider. "I donât like his attitude. Heâs too egotistical.â
âFor those who believe that Brian walks on water, I will always be the Antichrist," retorted Love in an interview with Vanity Fair. Their feud goes as far back as the making of Pet Sounds, according to Far Out Magazine, where Love told Wildson he hated the record.
In the early 1990s, per Billboard, Love won a lawsuit he brought against Wilson, in which he gained recognition for his writing on numerous Beach Boys songs. Later, Love accused Wilson of fraud and was awarded a $5 million settlement against the frontman for lost royalties.
A Psychological Trick to Making Your Retirement Feel Like a New Beginning Instead of an Ending
During our working years, many of us dream of the day we can finally retire and spend our days doing what we want. However, many retirees report feeling sad when their careers finally come to an end, grieving the past as they would the loss of a loved one.
However, there is a psychological trick you can use to give yourself a fresh perspective about your retirement, making the turn of the page feel more like a fresh start than the end of a chapter. Not only that, but the experts we spoke with said that you can use this for all sorts of other things in your life as well. Keep reading to learn more about this trick and how to apply it to your everyday life.
How To View Retirement as a New BeginningThe way we interpret change affects how we feel and how we behave, according to Amy Morin, a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist, LCSW, and Psychotherapist, and author of The Mental Strength Playbook. "If we see change as bad or think that a change is going to be hard, we'll struggle," she says, adding that the stories we tell ourselves become self-fulfilling prophecies. "We'll look for more evidence to make it true and behave in a way that reinforces our beliefs."
Instead, when we view a change as a fresh start or new beginning, Morin says we look for evidence that things will be better. "And we'll find that evidence and begin behaving in a way that makes it so."
What is the 'New Beginning' TrickWhen you view change as an opportunity rather than a threat, Morin says you'll work to overcome challenges. "If you view those same challenges as a threat, you're more likely to view problems as insurmountable obstacles." She says this trick works just as well for a big goal as for a small change.
"Your subconscious scans for what you're looking for, either threats or opportunities," she continues. "If you walk into a new situation, like retirement, telling yourself it's a new beginning, your subconscious will respond accordingly and look for helpful ways to support you in this new phase of your life."
Related: There's a Retirement Hazard That Most Retirees Aren't Prepared For
Setting Goals Can Also HelpAnother trick that can help you reframe your mindset about retirement is to think of this phase of your life as "launching a second act," according to Jason Fierstein, MA, LPC, the founder of Phoenix Men's Counseling.
That could include setting a big, audacious goal, like learning a new language. However, not all of your goals need to be so monumental. "It's important to set goals even if they are not big or audacious," he says, adding that you should start by asking yourself how you see your retirement and what you want it to look like, and then building your goals around those answers.
"If you haven't tapped into your subconscious, you are going to sputter trying to achieve goals," he says. "For a lot of people, retirement means you are in the same house and spend more time with a spouse." Sometimes, unaddressed marital issues can surface that may impact your happiness, or other issues that have been lying under the surface, affecting your own mental health.
If you're struggling to find happiness in your retirement, and these tricks don't seem to be making a dent in how you're feeling, you may want to reach out to a mental health expert who can help you figure out what you need to do to reframe your thinking around retirement so that you can begin to enjoy your golden years. After all, you worked your whole life to get here. You deserve to enjoy yourself.

Harry Hamlin Has Blunt Answer About Lisa Rinna Returning to 'RHOBH'
Harry Hamlin knows his wife best.
The longtime actor was recently asked if his wife Lisa Rinna, would ever return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and had an immediate and blunt response.
"I'd have to be six feet under for that to happen because it's over my dead body," he told Page Six while chatting at a Food Bank For NYC event this week. "They're gangsters over there, she can't work for them anymore."
View this post on InstagramRinna, 62, was on the Bravo reality show from 2014-2023 and brought no shortage of drama as she became known for outrageous scenes which included breaking wine glasses and making accusations about other cast members on camera.
And as for her own thoughts on returning to the series, she told Entertainment Tonight upon the release of her book, 'You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It,'Â in February, that it would "take at least $5 million."
Regardless of any gossip or drama she participated in though, she regards her final season as her worst since she was dealing with the death of her beloved mother.
âYou know, it was just really unfortunate," she said on Jesse Tyler Ferguson's podcast "Dinner's on Me" podcast. "In hindsight, it wouldâve been better if I had said, 'Guys, listen, Iâm gonna take this season off. Iâm just gonna take a break.'"
"I also knew that they needed me on the show at this point," she added. "So it was not gonna be like, 'Oh, sure, sweetie. Go, go. Take your time.'âÂ
While we won't see her on the Real Housewives again, Rinna didn't quit reality TV cold turkey as she played her hand on Season 4 of Peacock's The Traitors, an exhausting feat, Hamlin told the outlet.
"She came home and went to bed for a month and a half after that, but she enjoyed it, she had a good time," Hamlin said. "I was not able to really talk to her while she was doing it, they basically make you a prisoner while you're there...I thought she did an amazing job."

Elton John Fans Debated If 1974 Song Was Revenge or a Joke
Some hits have the best stories behind them, especially those about a former lover or enemy. Elton John released "The B-tch Is Back" in 1974, and for years, there was the question of who was the b-tch? Was the inspiration coming from a playful place or with anger? Here is the backstory involving songwriter Bernie Taupin.
Elton John Inspired the Song Full of Cursing Bernie Taupin, Maxine Feibelman, and Elton JohnMike Maloney/Mirrorpix/Getty Images
Caribou has the song as its second single. The lyrics don't hold back on using the curse word, which made it impossible to play on radio stations.
"I'm a b-tch, I'm a b-tch, oh, the b-tch is back/Stone-cold sober, as a matter of fact/I can b-tch, I can b-tch 'cause I'm better than you/It's the way that I move, the things that I do, oh-oh-oh." Taupin revealed the inspiration behind the self-declarative song, according to His Song: The Musical Journey of Elton John by Elizabeth Rosenthal.
"[Taupin] later revealed that his then wife Maxine [Feibelman] coined the song's recurring phrase in response to one of Elton's notoriously bad moods," she wrote. "'Oh God, the b-tch is back!' she exclaimed. The song, in essence, was born. All Bernie had to do was flesh it out."
The author believes it was a joke between the friends. John made it clear during some of his live performances that the title referred to him.
The song has reached beyond its initial hurdles with the radio. Glee featured it in an episode, mashing it up with "Dress You Up" by Madonna. Cory Monteith as Finn Hudson took the lead on John's lyrics. It was also featured in 2026's Off Campus, with Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) blowing off steam.

1977 Classic Hit Ranked 'the Happiest Rock Song of All Time'
While classic rock might be known for some somber songs, there are plenty of happy hits from the genre. For instance, Far Out published a list of the "40 happiest classic rock songs of all time," which included fun classics like Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's "Our House" from 1970, "Sunday Morning" by The Velvet Underground, "Donât Stop Believinâ" by Journey, Joni Mitchell's "California," and Eagles' 1972 hit "Take It Easy."
The ranking's top five songs featured "Happy Together" by The Turtles, The Beatles' "Hey Jude" from 1968, John Lennon's 1971 hit "Imagine," and The Police's "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" from 1981.
Electric Light Orchestra's 1977 hit "Mr. Blue Sky" took home the title of the happiest classic rock song ever released.
Jeff Lynne Revealed How He Wrote 'Mr. Blue Sky' in 2017Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra shared how he came up with "Mr. Blue Sky," which is off the 1977 record, Out of the Blue, in a 2017 interview with Top 2000 a gogo. He shared that he wrote the song after he was "on a mountain" in Switzerland.
"I'd been there like about a week. And it'd been cloudy and misty all the time," recalled the British musician, now 78.
He said when the sun finally appeared, he was surrounded by "blue sky."
"I could see for it forever you know and it was just beautiful and it made me write 'Mr. Blue Sky,'" said Lynne in the 2017 interview.
Lynne also noted that he decided to rerecord the song, as well as several of Electric Light Orchestra's other hits, in 2012. He explained that he "had 30 years more experience as a producer" and wanted "to have another go at" past songs.
"I don't think I did them justice the first time around, some of them, and I started off with 'Mr. Blue Sky,'" said Lynne.
He said that his manager preferred the newer version of the song.
"He said, 'Wow that sounds so much better than the old one.' And everybody else seemed to be very pleased with it too, so we said 'Make an album,'" said Lynne, in reference to the 2012 record, Mr. Blue Sky: The Very Best of Electric Light Orchestra.
