The actress, 61, shared several photos on Instagram on Thursday, August 27, from her recent trip to Croatia. Leading the post with a gorgeous shot of her posing near a waterfall in a chic one-piece swimsuit, she wrote: “Highlight of the summer: the most amazing trip to Croatia with the best people 🇭🇷😍🏝️.”

Sheilds’ Instagram carousel also included a video of her jumping into a body of water, a glimpse at one of her meals, and snaps with some of her friends—including Chelsea Handler.

The post’s comments section was flooded with an outpouring of positive comments, with one user jokingly writing in reference to the waterfall image: “So that’s the fountain of youth you’ve been using!”

“You look great! Legs for days! Super jelly,” another commenter wrote, while a third person said, “Hope you enjoyed our beautifil [sic] country! 😍❤️.”

“Brooke Shields The most beautiful in the world😍😍,” a fourth user added.

The “Endless Love” actress has been embracing her 60s to its fullest. Last December, Shields reflected on how she’s navigating her sixth decade of life in an interview with Shop TODAY.

Also, offering up wisdom to anyone nervous about stepping into a similar era as herself, Shields noted that it’s best to “only look back, if you’re going to give yourself credit for all that you’ve done.”

“Don’t look back and pine for your face without one wrinkle or when body parts looked different,” she added. “Look back, and then switch the gaze to being excited about more to come. That is my whole approach.”

David Byrne has exciting news for his fans and fellow cinephiles.

The former Talking Heads singer is adding to his discography of concert films with the upcoming Who Is The Sky?. The tour, which supported his album with the same name, took place all around the world throughout 2025 and 2026. The Who Is The Sky? concert film will follow Byrne’s 2023 concert film, American Utopia, shot by Spike Lee in early 2020.

The Who Is The Sky? project was filmed by The Brutalist director Brady Corbet over multiple nights in Byrne’s hometown of Baltimore in 70mm film. This wide, high-resolution motion picture format measures 70 millimeters across and is nearly twice the size of standard film (35mm). The movie is expected to showcase the huge multistage production that featured Byrne and his 13-member ensemble of musicians, singers and dancers.

“When Brady told me he wanted to shoot our show in 70 millimeter (70 millimeter!) I didn’t realize what a difference it would make until I saw some frames he sent me,” Byrne wrote in a statement. “He was right; it really does capture the wide-screen visual scope of the show. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

So far, no distribution or release details have been reported.

Byrne, born in Scotland but immigrated to Canada and then to the suburbs of Baltimore, started his music career in a high school band called Revelation. In 1975, he co-founded the Talking Heads in New York City and they released eight studio albums together, all with massive commercial and critical success. The Talking Heads were pioneers of the new wave music scene that took place in the late 1970s and early 1980s, with many of their music videos airing on MTV.

But by 1989, the Talking Heads split up, and Byrne went on to pursue a solo career. Since then, he has released 11 solo albums and many collaborative records with Brian Eno and St Vincent.

Currently, Byrne is finishing up the final North American leg of the Who Is The Sky? Tour, with multiple dates planned across the United States throughout the rest of this month until mid-September. From November 8-11, he will embark on his Sleeping Beauties Book Tour in the United Kingdom, which promotes his upcoming novel, Sleeping Beauties: Why Good Ideas Go Dormant and How They Wake Up, out Oct. 8.

Byrne is set to perform in San Diego on Thursday night, then at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles over the weekend. His upcoming concert schedule includes five nights in Mexico City over Labor Day weekend, then a stop in Saratoga Springs, New York, and a final night in New York City’s Forest Hills Stadium on Sept. 19.

John Corbett is showing off a sharp contrast to his Sex and the City style with a long, white beard.

Living in Santa Barbara, Corbett and Derek prefer a quieter pace of life.

“…Right now, if I’m home, I wake up, make coffee, feed the horses, feed the dogs, feed myself, go to my computer, work in the garden, swim in the pool for exercise and then feed horses, feed dogs, feed ourselves,” Derek told Variety back in 2020. “John and I watch Jeopardy while we eat and then we watch movies all night.”

No matter how they spend their time, it’s safe to say that Derek is so in love with Corbett, more than 20 years on.

Mike Myers is a comedy legend, and the star didn’t hesitate to embrace his silliness while dancing in a subway station.

Myers, 63, got his start on Saturday Night Live before launching a hugely successful film career with iconic films like Wayne’s World and Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. While he’s currently at work on Shrek 5, the star decided to embrace his silly side off the clock while doing a bit of ballet in a Toronto subway station. As a street musician beautifully played the keyboards behind him, Myers leaped and hopped through the station in front of fellow commuters, who seemed completely clueless that the comedy legend was in front of them.

“Kinda chic to dance in the subway station,” Myers wrote on the video, in which the platinum-haired star wore camo pants, a T-shirt, and sneakers to show off his fancy footwork.

Like other news networks, CNN recently aired photos of the iconic singer, actress, and all-around star Dolly Parton following her death on August 25. But unlike other media outlets, CNN got it wrong.

The image that looked like Parton was actually of a tribute artist named Kelly Vohnn. Yes, that’s right. During a broadcast of ‘Laura Coates Live,’ the network displayed a photo of a Dolly Parton impersonator. 

Of course, like any of us would be, CNN is probably more than just a bit embarrassed by the on-air blunder. The network recently acknowledged the misstep publicly, telling The New York Post, “We regret the error and apologize to the Parton family.”

The photo of Vohnn was taken in December during a screening for the film Song Sung Blue in Las Vegas. While Vohnn didn’t see the initial broadcast, she later told The New York Post, “I started getting all these texts from friends saying that I was on CNN, and I couldn’t believe it.”

Vohnn also shared, “I was already heartbroken at losing Dolly because of how much she has given to me as a woman and an artist…But then to see these images of me on screen was just weird.”

She continued, slamming CNN’s error, “Somebody at CNN messed up and didn’t do their research. I felt so sorry and apologetic for Dolly, because over her career there are so many wonderful images and moments that they could have chosen from—and CNN just picked something not appropriate.” Vohnn added, “It was quite embarrassing, to be honest.” 

The tribute artist explained that she’s upfront about being an impersonator, saying, “To be clear, I have never represented myself as being Dolly ever in my life. I have always been known as a tribute act for her and many other stars.”

What did Dolly Parton’s fans think about CNN’s photo fail?

When The New York Post shared the story on social media, critics immediately jumped on the flub, writing on X, bashing the network’s mistake: “CNN can’t even get the easy stuff right. There’s a plague of incompetence at CNN,” and “Classic CNN. I’m shocked they apologized.”

But it wasn’t all clap-backs and savage swipes. Some Parton fans thought the golden-hearted queen of country would have gotten a kick out of the mistake, commenting on Instagram, “Dolly would have appreciated that flub!” and, “Dolly would have loved this.” 

What did Parton think about tribute acts? In a 2022 interview with Graham Norton, Parton spoke lovingly about her impersonators, saying, “I like that. I think it’s fun. I think it’s a great compliment!”

Some of rock music’s most famous tracks were written and recorded by young people. Fifty-six years ago, the psychedelic rock band Sugarloaf released “Green-Eyed Lady,” a major hit that continued to prove young artists could make massive industry breakthroughs.

Released in June 1970 as the lead single from their debut self-titled studio album, “Green-Eyed Lady” quickly became a hit. Upon its release, the song climbed up the Billboard Hot 100. Although it never claimed the No. 1 spot, it peaked at No. 3 on October 17. In total, the track spent 12 weeks charting, marking the band’s first major encounter with mainstream attention.

“Green-Eyed Lady” served as the catalyst for Sugarloaf’s career. Today, the band is commonly considered a two-hit wonder, mainly being remembered for “Green-Eyed Lady” and their 1974 single “Don’t Call Us, We’ll Call You”—which peaked at No. 9 in 1975.

Despite the lack of significant notoriety across the rest of their discography, “Green-Eyed Lady” continues to persevere as a memorable ’70s staple. In the streaming era, the track maintains its relevance among new generations, garnering over 19.1 million streams on Spotify alone.

Creating “Green-Eyed Lady”

“Green-Eyed Lady” was written by lead singer Jerry Corbetta with the help of producer J.C. Phillips and songwriter David Riordan when Corbetta was only 22 years old.

The song was inspired by his girlfriend at the time, Kathy Peacock, making for a deeply romantic tune centered around young love. Corbetta’s bandmates would frequently refer to Kathy by the affectionate nickname, “the green-eyed lady,” which was adopted as the song’s iconic title.

Corbetta’s ode to Kathy is a stunning lyrical work, honoring her as a loving force of nature. Lyrics like “Green-eyed lady, passion’s lady / Dressed in love, she lives for life to be / Green-eyed lady feels life I never see / Setting suns and lonely lovers free” showcase the beauty of young admiration, establishing its reputation as a beloved romantic rock track among listeners.

Sitting at nearly seven minutes in length, the single incorporates jazz influences and a driving organ arrangement that complements its romantic imagery perfectly. Its hypnotic groove maintains the momentum throughout the staggering 6-minute-and-52-second track. Maybe you’ve come across the Eisenhower Matrix (*wink wink*), or maybe you haven’t, and you’re curious about how it could help. The Classic Framework: What Is the Eisenhower Matrix?

Think you can guess who coined the Eisenhower Matrix, also known as the productivity matrix? Your guess is probably right.

“The Eisenhower Matrix is a methodology conceived by Dwight David Eisenhower while he was in the armed forces to manage his workload for optimum impact, and which he later used in the White House as President of the United States to manage his time there, too,” explains David Radin, CEO of Confirmed and a certified Dale Carnegie consultant who focuses on productivity and time management.

Basically, this matrix triages your to-do list.

“In its purest form, it separates all your required actions into four quadrants based on how important they are—that is, the level of impact they have on reaching your goals and how urgent they are, which can be thought of as how time-sensitive they are,” Radin explains.

He describes the quadrants like this:

• Quadrant 1: Do (Urgent & Important) — The task has lots of impact and a deadline.
• Quadrant 2: Decide or Delay (Important, Not Urgent) — You can put these tasks off.
• Quadrant 3: Delegate (Urgent, Not Important) — Not completing this task on time has some impact, but it’s not the most important, so you can hand it off.
• Quadrant 4: Delete or Disappear (Not Urgent, Not Important) — You can get rid of these tasks completely.

The Golden Mistake: Why You’re Confusing ‘Urgent’ With ‘Important’

The thing that many people get wrong about those quadrants, according to Radin, is focusing too much on quadrant one (Q1) and not enough on quadrant two (Q2). Basically, they don’t understand the “urgent” vs. “important” difference.

“It’s quite important to spend a large percentage of your focus in [quadrant one] because of the impact it has and the time-sensitivity of the activities there,” he says. “However, if you do it at the expense of quadrant two, you miss the opportunity to avoid your activities being pushed into urgency.” 

He goes on to explain that something could be urgent—aka, time-sensitive—but not important. For example, a deal on a product you want. The deal might end in two days (urgent), but that doesn’t mean that the product has a lot of value (important).

“We train people to first factor the importance, because that is what will impact their success,” he continues. “Then, determine the time frame in which those actions should be done… Another way to think of it: Act based on value; don’t react because a deadline is coming at you.”

The Individual Contributor Trap: What if You Have No One To Delegate To?

Now to the third quadrant: delegate. Let’s say you work solo and can’t delegate. Thankfully, that doesn’t mean you have to throw out this quadrant completely.

“If you have an assistant, that’s an easy delegation, but if you don’t, you need to find a resource with both the capability and enough time to get it done,” Radin suggests. “Be creative when thinking about how to delegate.”

That could also look like automation—with an online service, for example—or negotiation—with the client, perhaps.

Why Quadrant 2 Is the Real Secret to Long-Term Productivity

As mentioned, the ultimate goal is not to live in quadrant one, but to spend as much time as possible in quadrant two. This can eliminate stress and produce better results. 

“By spending time in quadrant two (important and non-urgent), you can keep your activities from becoming so urgent that you have to struggle to get them down,” Radin explains. “It’s often the quadrant of getting things done early, planning a strategy to get them done better or finding ways to be more efficient about getting them done.”

Years before Rod Stewart made “I Don’t Want to Talk About It” an international success, the aching ballad belonged to a very different corner of early-’70s rock.

Crazy Horse first recorded the song for the band’s self-titled 1971 debut album. Within a few years, Stewart would recognize its potential and bring Whitten’s composition to millions more listeners.

Crazy Horse had emerged from the Los Angeles group the Rockets before becoming Young’s backing band.

Whitten was a crucial part of that transformation. His guitar and vocals appeared prominently on Young’s 1969 album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, but Crazy Horse also pursued music independently, releasing Crazy Horse in 1971 with contributions from musicians including Nils Lofgren and Jack Nitzsche.

“I Don’t Want to Talk About It” became one of Whitten’s defining compositions.

Built around heartbreak and the reluctance to revisit a painful relationship, the song favored emotional restraint over dramatic flourishes. Whitten’s fragile delivery gave the original an intimacy that would remain intact even as other performers reshaped it.

“Danny was a very soulful man and a good man and he was the one who got me in Crazy Horse,” recalled Lofgren years later in the book 1000 UK #1 Hits. “I loved his song, ‘I Don’t Want To Talk About It,’ and I think it is one of the greatest ballads ever. It has a very haunting lyric and put two lines into the song because Danny was so ill when he recorded it.”

Tragically, Whitten never saw how far the song would travel.

He struggled with drug addiction and died in 1972 at just 29 years old, little more than a year after Crazy Horse released the album.

His relatively small catalog nevertheless left a lasting impression, with “I Don’t Want to Talk About It” eventually becoming his best-known song.

Then came Rod Stewart.

“[Rod] was interested in seeing if Neil had a song he could do,” drummer Billy Talbot told Flowworker in 2025. “So Neil played one of our tracks to him and because he wasn’t interested in Rod Stewart doing a cover of his, he played something from the record he liked but knew Rod Stewart would never do – it might have been ‘Drive Back.’ It was a little odd, but he had a very beautiful woman with him [Britt Ekland] and that’s the main thing I remember. He then had a big hit with ‘I Don’t Want To Talk About It,’ Danny’s song. He might have got it at that session.”

Stewart recorded the ballad for his 1975 album Atlantic Crossing, bringing his famously raspy voice to Whitten’s melancholy lyrics. In 1977, it was released in the U.K. as a double A-side with “The First Cut Is the Deepest,” and the single climbed to No. 1 on the U.K. Singles Chart.

Stewart would return to the song throughout his career, including with a new rendition on 1989’s Storyteller collection. Other artists have embraced Whitten’s composition as well, further extending a legacy that began with Crazy Horse.

Fifty-five years after its original release, “I Don’t Want to Talk About It” remains a striking piece of Danny Whitten’s musical legacy. Rod Stewart may have carried the ballad around the world, but its emotional power was already there in Crazy Horse’s quietly affecting 1971 original.

After five weeks of testimony, the fate of Massachusetts mom Lindsay Clancy is now in the jury’s hands. Clancy, 36, is accused of killing her children, Cora, Dawson and Callan, at their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023.

Jurors began deliberating on Thursday, August 27, after opposing closing arguments about her mental state. Clancy has pleaded not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility.

What Did Prosecutors Argue in the Lindsay Clancy Trial?

According to a courtroom video shared by WCWB Channel 5 Boston, Prosecutor Jennifer Sprague acknowledged that Clancy was exhausted and depressed but argued that she planned the killings and understood her actions were wrong.

“It was a choice to take them with her. It was a horrible choice. It is a choice that we don’t want to think about that a mother could make, because that doesn’t make us feel safe or comfortable in this world,” Sprague said.

“But it’s a choice she made.” Sprague also rejected the defense’s criticism of Clancy’s medical care, arguing that broader failures in the mental health system were not on trial.

What Did the Defense Say About Postpartum Psychosis?

Defense attorney Kevin Reddington argued that Clancy was experiencing postpartum psychosis and had been a loving, devoted mother before her mental health deteriorated.

He blamed the medications she received and the treatment provided. Reddington also rejected the prosecution’s suggestion that Clancy’s attempt to take her own life was staged. “This woman lived for her kids,” he told jurors.

Jurors heard conflicting testimony from medical experts. Clancy’s mother and sister said she became anxious, paranoid and suicidal after the birth of her third child.

Clancy sought help from several providers and admitted herself to a psychiatric hospital. Less than three weeks after her discharge, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, were strangled. Clancy then jumped from a second-floor window and remains paralyzed from the waist down.

Jurors must decide whether Clancy was criminally responsible and, if so, which charges were proven. A murder conviction could bring life in prison without parole. If Clancy is found not guilty because she lacked criminal responsibility, she could still be committed to a state mental health facility, where she has been receiving treatment since January 2023.

In 1959, a 13-year-old Dolly Parton walked onto the Grand Ole Opry stage after being introduced by Johnny Cash. Sixty-seven years later, the institution where she earned three encores that night is preparing to honor her one more time.

The Grand Ole Opry announced Thursday, Aug. 27, that its Saturday, Aug. 29 show at 7 p.m. CT will be dedicated to Parton, celebrating the country legend’s “extraordinary life, legacy, and contributions to country music.”

“This Saturday night, we honor a true icon,” the Opry shared in an email announcing the tribute.

Confirmed performers include Carly Pearce, Channing Wilson, Kathy Mattea, Molly Tuttle, Dan Tyminski, T. Graham Brown, the Opry Square Dancers and Belle Frantz making her Opry debut, which is so apropos because Frantz is a rising country star who has major Dolly vibes. And considering the occasion, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if the Opry has a few unannounced guests waiting in the wings for Saturday night’s tribute.

A portion of ticket sales from Saturday night’s show will also be donated to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, the children’s literacy program that became one of the most important pieces of Parton’s philanthropic legacy.

The Opry will also make the tribute available to fans who can’t be in Nashville. Saturday’s show will stream live on the Opry’s Facebook and YouTube channels and through digital streaming partners Circle Country and RFD-TV.

Dolly Parton Earned 3 Encores at the Grand Ole Opry at Just 13

Parton’s history with the Opry stretched back nearly seven decades.

The future superstar was only 13 when Cash introduced her to the audience in 1959 as “a little girl from East Tennessee.” Parton performed George Jones’ “You Gotta Be My Baby,” and the response was extraordinary: She was called back for three encores.

“The crowds loved her from the first note,” the Opry recalled in its Aug. 27 tribute to Parton. “And they never stopped.”

It would be another decade before Parton officially joined the institution she’d dreamed about since childhood. She became a Grand Ole Opry member in 1969 and remained one for the next 57 years.

When the Opry moved from Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium to the newly built Grand Ole Opry House in the 1970s, Parton made clear that her attachment wasn’t to a building.

“It’s sacred to me, wherever it goes—the church of my heart,” she once said.

Parton ultimately performed on the Opry more than 100 times, and in 2019, the institution celebrated her 50th anniversary as a member with a star-studded celebration.

The Grand Ole Opry Will Give Back to Dolly Parton’s Beloved Imagination Library

Saturday’s decision to donate a portion of ticket sales to the Imagination Library is especially fitting given how important the program remained to Parton throughout her life.

Founded by Parton in 1995, the program grew from a local effort in her native East Tennessee into an international literacy initiative. According to the Opry, the Imagination Library has distributed more than 300 million free books to children.

Parton left those children with an especially poignant message before her death. In a final note to Imagination Library families, the country icon asked her young readers to make her a promise as they continued growing up: “Keep dreaming, keep learning, and keep reading!”

The message has taken on new meaning in the days since her death, as tributes to Parton’s generosity have poured in alongside remembrances of her music.

Dolly Parton’s Legacy Continues After Her Death

Those tributes have come from some of the biggest names who knew and worked with Parton.

Linda Ronstadt, who recorded with Parton and Emmylou Harris as the celebrated trio behind Trio and Trio II, remembered her longtime friend as “the most extraordinary” after news of Parton’s death.

Meanwhile, Parton’s team has revealed that the famously tireless entertainer was still working on new projects near the end of her life. She left behind not only unfinished work but a roadmap designed to guide projects bearing her name for “decades to come.”

Even an unusual coincidence involving Tropical Storm Dolly became part of the extraordinary wave of attention surrounding the singer’s death, adding another unexpected chapter to the days of remembrance.

The Opry’s tribute now brings that remembrance back to one of the places where Parton’s story began.

Over the decades, Parton’s relationship with the institution expanded beyond her own performances. She invited Carly Pearce, who began her career performing at Dollywood, to become an Opry member, while the Opry continued celebrating Parton’s music through its annual “Opry Goes Dolly” shows. Her presence also remains inside the Opry House through a mural and displays featuring some of her famous stage outfits.

Saturday night, however, will carry a different meaning.

“Dolly’s love is like a butterfly—a rare and gentle thing—one whose effect will be felt for generations,” the Opry wrote.

“We invite you to tune in as we say goodbye to a true icon: gifted musician, Opry member, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and friend.”

The Grand Ole Opry’s Dolly Parton tribute takes place Saturday, Aug. 29. The show will be available via livestream for fans who want to join the celebration from home.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ 2003 rock hit “Maps” continues to earn recognition as one of the most remarkable songs in music history.

In a ranking released by Billboard, the publication’s staff named the 50 best rock love songs of all time.

From the experimental art rock track “Heroes” by David Bowie at the top of the list, the indie rock band fronted by Karen O, with Nick Zinner on guitar and keyboards and Brian Chase on drums, secured the No. 2 spot, surpassing the iconic band The Beatles at No. 3 with their 1969 song “Something.”

Billboard emphasized the cultural significance and influence of the band, especially through “Maps” in the early 2000s.

Widely considered Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ breakthrough song, “Maps,” which was released in the U.K. in 2003 and later in the U.S. in 2004, was the third single from their debut studio album, Fever to Tell.

While the trio was credited on the track, Karen O wrote the lyrics to “Maps,” drawing inspiration from her relationship with Angus Andrew of the band Liars amid their demanding touring schedules and long-distance relationship.

“‘Maps’ is the ultimate ‘you are always on my mind’-type song,” the frontwoman told Mojo in an interview as cited by Songfacts. “Unfortunately, there is never enough humor in the feeling of missing someone; ‘Maps’ just indulges that emotion.”

The song also featured a nostalgic, high school-themed music video, in which Karen O revealed an interesting and personal story during the shoot.

“They were real tears,” she told NME in 2007, adding, “My boyfriend at the time was supposed to come to the shoot – he was three hours late and I was about to leave for tour.”

At the time of its release, “Maps” peaked at No. 87 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and No. 9 on Alternative Airplay, despite its popularity among listeners.

However, with the rise of social media, especially TikTok, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs song went viral and peaked at No. 1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart in 2024.

This only shows that the trio’s standout track remains a classic rock love song that continues to resonate with listeners decades after its release.

Given the epic year Taylor Swift‘s been having, from her wedding to Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden to her chart-topping, surprise song in Toy Story 5, it’s no surprise the music megastar ranks as the most buzzed-about star of 2026, according to BetMGM Casino’s Celebrity Cultural Visibility Index.

Released on August 24, the top 10 list is a fascinating look at which stars have dominated online searches, discussions, and media coverage this year, including a star who died 17 years ago. Michael Jackson, who died at age 50 in June 2009, ranked just behind Swift on the 2026 index, thanks in large part to the massive success of Michael. Since hitting theaters in April, the movie has become the highest-grossing music biopic of all time, per Variety.

Behind Jackson, NBA superstar Lebron James came in third on the list amid speculation about his future and his eventual decision to play for the Philadelphia 76ers following eight seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Fourth place on the Celebrity Cultural Visibility Index was Bad Bunny, who made headlines for his Super Bowl LX Halftime Show in early February. Actress Sydney Sweeney landed in fifth place.

To determine the rankings, BetMGM Casino analyzed the buzz around 100 major celebrities, calculating their Google search demand, Wikipedia page views, podcast discussions, and 6.6 million broadcast and online news stories. Rankings were calculated by combining those aspects, with Media Visibility (podcasts, broadcast, and digital news mentions) accounting for 50% of a star’s score and Public Interest (Google searches and Wikipedia views) accounting for the other half.

Rounding out the top 10 most buzzed about celebrities of the year were seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady in sixth place, followed by Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, late night host Jimmy Kimmel, actor Tom Cruise, and NFL superstar (and Swift’s new husband) Travis Kelce.

Dolly Parton’s death on August 25 has dominated entertainment headlines and online searches in the days since. However, the Celebrity Cultural Visibility Index rankings are based on data collected from January 1 through August 1, landing the late entertainment icon in the 33rd spot on the list.

It’s possible Parton’s ranking will rise on the index by year’s end, but a spokesperson for MGMBets Casino told Parade that a “sudden short-term spike” in public interest and media coverage around Parton or any other celebrity isn’t likely to “significantly change the rankings as they currently stand.”

It appears that Kylie Jenner is ready to say goodbye to plastic surgery, as she revealed hopeful plans to get bigger breast implants.

The makeup mogul confessed on the Better Half With Stas and Vic podcast on Wednesday that she wants “bigger and more out there” breast implants. This comes over a year since Jenner spilled the truth on TikTok about what she had done to achieve her “natural” look.

Now Jenner admits that she “wants them bigger,” and it’s something she says “every day.” She told co-hosts Anastasia Karanikolaou and Victoria Villarroel that her goal is to have her breast implants “walk in before I do.”

When she plans to get the procedure done is unclear, as the co-host revealed that Jenner has been talking about sizing up over the past year. Karanikolaou joked that the 29-year-old may even have an “obsession,” and Jenner happily agreed, saying she “love tits.”

Karanikolaou pointed out that the makeup mogul also once commented that she had initial plans to get it done before her 29th birthday. Jenner was born on Aug. 10, but also admits that she likely won’t go through the procedure before she turns 30. Instead, she plans to get a belly button piercing to have the experience.

In June 2025, fans were swarming Jenner with questions on what she had done to achieve the ““most perfect, natural” chest. She revealed on TikTok the exact details, explaining she had “445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!! … Hope this helps lol.”

Jenner also revealed during the podcast that her doctor’s office, Dr. Garth Fisher, was getting bombarded with calls asking for those exact details. Alongside her plans for larger implants, Jenner also squashed rumors that she’s currently pregnant.

She admitted to having “seen some things” online about the speculation, and says that she often has a good “laugh” about it.

“I think that I’m so used to people creating their own narrative that I actually have to just laugh about it, and I really don’t care,” Jenner said. “I just assume people will figure it out eventually, which is what they always do.”

Being active on social media, Jenner adds that she will undoubtedly show up online wearing a bikini or going out that will squash the rumors. Jenner has gotten used to the rumor mill and online speculations, and admits, “I kind of just don’t feel the need to say anything ever. I’m just like, well, it is what it is. I can’t like talk [or] comment on everything, so I just laugh about it and join in on the party.”

Singer and actor Tommy Sands is turning 89 today!

Born Thomas Adrian Sands on August 27, 1937, he first gained popularity as a teenager after appearing in the Kraft Television Theater in January 1957. He sang the hit track “Teen-Age Crush”, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on Cashbox. Sands is also known for his marriage to Frank Sinatra’s daughter, Nancy Sinatra.

At 19 years old in 1957, he spoke to TV-Radio Life magazine about his quick rise to fame. At the time, his first record was about to reach 2,000,000 sales. While in New York, he had to change hotels because fans were surrounding him.

“I just couldn’t believe all that happened to me in New York the last time,” he said at the time. “I don’t get it.”

He shared that he wanted to be one of the great entertainers, both an actor and a singer.

“I want to be good in all phases of show business,” he said. “And the more pressure I get put on me, the more challenges the better. I like to have to work hard for something.”

Sands studied acting in New York City. He memorably starred in The Longest Day (1960) and Babes in Toyland (1961).

The former teen idol married Sinatra in 1960 after a whirlwind romance. They divorced five years later, in 1965. After they separated, his career declined.

In 1967, he distanced himself from the spotlight and moved to Hawaii. He launched the Tommy Sands Nightclub Tour and performed at the Outrigger Hotel in Waikiki. Sands returned to the continental United States in 1981, settling in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

In the modern day, Steely Dan has become almost synonymous with the classic rock genre. So it’s not all that surprising that Amazon Music included one of the band’s biggest hits on the streaming service’s curated list, “100 Greatest Classic Rock Songs.”

Amazon Music put Steely Dan’s 1972 hit “Do It Again,” off the band’s first album, Can’t Buy a Thrill, at the list’s 88th spot. The song, written by singer and keyboardist Donald Fagen and guitarist Walter Becker, was almost immediately popular, securing the number 6 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1973, just three months after Can’t Buy a Thrill was released.

In a 2022 interview with Rock History Music, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, the guitarist on Can’t Buy a Thrill and Steely Dan’s 1973 album, Countdown to Ecstasy, and 1974’s Pretzel Logic, discussed the popularity of “Do It Again.”

Baxter said while the 5-minute-and-57-second track “was ostensibly the first single from Steely Dan,” the song “Dallas” was supposed to be the first single. The musician explained that Becker, who died in 2017 at the age of 67, and Fagen “were afraid that, between the way the song, the genre of the song, plus the name Steely Dan, people would think it was a country band, so they pulled the single.”

He then said that he believed “Do It Again” became a hit because of when it was released.

“‘Do It Again’ was very interesting to me because it’s one of those songs where I think timing is everything. If we had released that a year before or a year after, it was like minute by minute, if we’d released that song a year before, a year after, nobody would have cared,” said Baxter, now 77, in the 2022 interview. “So I’m not quite sure. I guess it’s all about the stars aligning in whatever way they do to permit the entrance of something new into the universe, you know, my place in this, that portal would have closed.”

Madonna’s 1989 hit “Like a Prayer” took only about three hours to write, but the song went on to become one of the biggest releases of her career. 

The track reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it stayed at the top for three consecutive weeks and it has continued to earn recognition decades after its release.

Released as the lead single from Madonna’s fourth studio album of the same name, “Like a Prayer” arrived on March 3, 1989. The song later debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 18 and reached No. 1 on April 22. It spent 16 weeks on the chart.

Madonna had not recorded new music throughout much of 1988. At the time, she was dealing with personal changes and was looking for a different direction for her next album. She also wanted to write about subjects that were more personal to her.

Looking back on that period, Madonna said, “What was it I wanted to say? I wanted the album to speak to things on my mind. It was a complex time in my life.”

In a March 1989 interview with Rolling Stone, Madonna spoke about the feelings of guilt that remained with her.

“Once you’re a Catholic, you’re always a Catholic; in terms of your feelings of guilt and remorse and whether you’ve sinned or not,” she said.

The full song brought together several musical styles. “Like a Prayer” mixed pop, rock, dance music and gospel elements. It also featured powerful gospel vocals from The Andraé Crouch Choir, while the track included guitar recordings connected to Prince’s contribution.

The lyrics also gave the song more than one possible meaning. Religious language was placed alongside lines that could also be understood as sexual. Leonard reportedly had concerns about some of the sexual suggestions in the lyrics, but Madonna refused to change them.

Directed by Mary Lambert, the “Like a Prayer” video used religious imagery while also telling the story of a Black man who is wrongly accused of a crime. Madonna’s character sees what happened and later finds the courage to tell the truth.

More recently, “Like a Prayer” found a new audience after appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine. The song was first heard in promotional material for the film and later appeared during the movie’s finale, leading to new versions of the track.

Nearly four decades after its release, “Like a Prayer” continues to connect with new artists and audiences.
